God Has His Eyes On You | Elder Terence Atkinson

You're listening to a message to go from axt church. We hope this message

will light up your tea. The message today is God has his eyes on

you. God has his eyes on you. Hmm. What does it mean

to have God's eyes on you? Why is it important to have God's eyes

on you? Hopefully, by the time this message is over, you'll find

a lot of encouragement. Okay, a little bit of an echo, but

that's all right. Just can't hear mine? Can you hear it? It's

a little bit of a ding. It's amazing I can do that. Okay.

Praise the Lord. Okay, Palm steady three verse eighteen, and it

says, behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,

So you want to qualify on those who hope in his mercy. Two

qualifications mentioned here. The eye of the Lord is on those who fear him

and well on those who hope in his mercy. Okay, we just did

homes on Friday and it was about serving and you're holding on the times upside

already. Okay, we entered a time loop. Hmm. Okay, Praise

the Lord. Just having some fun up here. Okay. The eye of

the Lord is on those who fear him. So now do we fear God?

If we don't fear God, he is not looking at us. That's

what the word says. And how sad is it when God's eye is not

on us? Because when God's eye is not on us, it means we

are not hoping in his mercy. And if we're not hoping in his mercy,

we are really dangerous ground. In fact, we're on quicksand we're on

quicksand we need to have God's eyes on us so that we have a hope

of his mercy. Why would we need to have hope in the mercy of

God? Well, it could be because we are human beings, and as

human beings, we miss the mark so many times. And when we miss

the mark so many times, we wonder what goes wrong in our lives.

You know, when things go wrong in our lives, it means that we

are missing the mark. Something's not quite right. So we need to get

God looking at us all the time, having his eyes on us all the

time. Now, let's understand this, God's eye, God's eyes. Do

you think God has eyes? How many of you think God has eyes?

Okay, it's not a trick. Question, how many of you think God

has got eyes? God is not us, meaning that he is not a

physical being. If God is not a physical being, do you think he

needs physical eyes. You see, we are created in the image of God,

meaning that we get to see and experience as God experiences. In order

for us to see, God created for us eyes so that we can have

ocular vision. All right, Does that mean God has eyes? Not in

the sense that we think he's got eyes. So when God says he's got

his eyes on us, it is for us to understand that He has an

everlasting focus centered on us. It's about his focus. So God, it's

not a physical being, He is spirit. I told you the last time

about this man who said I will not accept the Lord until I see him.

Well, he accepted the Lord and Jesus appeared to him. And what

did he say His appearance was It was a bright white light and he was

dressed in white, and there was an amazing glow about him. But he

could not see a face, he could not see eyes, but he just

knew that that was Jesus. There was another one who it was Moses.

When Moses, when when moseses, I want to see you Jesus said,

you see me, you die. So this is what I'll do. I'll

pass by you, all right, and and then I'll let you look.

So he covered up Moses' eyes he passed by, and then after that just

Moses saw his glow. So the thing is this, God is not physical.

Because if you're saying God is physical, and I means God can poke

his own enemy. He's blinded you. How many you poked your own eight

before and it's hurt. So if God was physical and had physicalized, he

could do the same thing. But God is not physical. God is spirit.

I want you to know that. It offers an insight into what is

important where God is concerned. When when God says he's got his eyes on

those who fear him, what is this important insight? Guys, we got

to fear God. We got to realize that, and we we studied this

on Friday. It is not the covering kind of fear. How many we

see movies when the when the when the robber breaks into the houser, the

woman will cover in fear and then she first place she'll go and runs into

the closet. And it always buggles my mind. You're trying to escape from

the guy. But you go to the closet and you cry. The guy

can hear you. Man, if you're going to hide in the closet,

keep quiet. How many of you had the same part. So the thing

is this, It offers an insight into what is important to God. God

doesn't expect us to fear him like that. But what God expects us to

do is to recognize that He is God and we are not. And every

time He come into his presence and we recognize who God is, that is

a chance for hope to come into our lives, hope of what He's Mercy,

you want to Mercy is not just forgiveness. You know, Mercy is

receiving the things that we need to survive. That is also mercy. Mercy

is also receiving food on the table. Mercy is also receiving finances. Mercy

is also receiving healing, insight into what is important God. It is explained

in ways that we understand. We need to understand God from our own little

minds, because if we don't understand from our little minds, we just will

miss it. And you know, a lot of people go through lives missing

a lot of things because the simple things. They don't acknowledge where God is

concerned. Well, they cannot even acknowledge that they fear God. I'm my

own man. You know how many people are walking the streets without roofs over

their head because they are their own men. I would rather not be my

own man and have a roof over my head and see God work in my

life, and always remember this. It is to bring us hope. We

need hope in this desperate world. How many of you know, and I

shared this the last time. We're just a button away from World War three

because we've got a lot of crazy people running this world. We got put

In, who wants to develop Russia into Russia again. All right, So

we got this joker, and then we got the other joker, Zelenski.

There's another joker. I don't know whether he's fighting for his country or he's

fighting for his bank account, but it's just the way the world isn't him.

So we need to have hope because we're not in control. We're not

in control over the policies that we have running this country. How many of

you drive diesel vehicles? Praise the Lord, none of you do. But

if you were to drive a diesel vehicle, you would be paying as good

as fifty more for your fuel. So we're not in control, but God's

in con true. So what do God's eyes do? Now? There are

many things that God God's eyes do, all right, But I'm only going

to discuss three things today, and they are not exhaustive. They're just the

three things that God asked me to talk to us about, all right.

So what is the first thing that God's eyes do? They see, God

sees. The next thing that God's eyes do is they look. And the

third thing is they watch. So God's eyes see, they look, and

they watch. Can they do more than that? Obviously? All right,

But I'm only going to talk to you about these three things, all right.

So it always it appears to be the same thing, right, see,

look and watch? Well, not really, God's eyes see. In

Luke twenty three, verses thirty nine, it says, then one of the

criminals who were hanged blesphemed him, saying, if you are the Christ,

save yourself and us. In another portion of scripture, it says that both

thieves ridly kill the Lord. It says that, But now in Luke,

it says one of them says, if you are the Christ. Hey,

you're so great, such a big deal everybody's making about you. Save yourself,

lived, save us. The fellow is hanging on the cross. He's

got time to talk like that. He deserves the crossman, really, But

something happened to one of them along the way, and then one of these

robbers, he said in the next verse. But the other answering rebuked him,

saying, do you not even fear God? Hey? Do you not

see? Do you not fear God? How is hope going to come into

your life? Do you wonder what took place? This man feared God and

hope began to come into his heart, the hope of mercy. So,

seeing you under the same condemnation, do you not even fear God? Isn't

it? Isn't it strange? The eyes of the Lord are on those who

fear Him and the hope of see. Then he looks to Jesus and he

says this. Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when you

come into your kingdom. Remember me when you come into your kingdom. What

a simple prayer did he say? Lord, forgive me? Do you say,

oh God, I am a wretched sinner? Will you are not Oh?

God, can you do something about my situation? And going to ten

fifteen twenty minutes of his story, did he do that? No? Sometimes

you and I got to realize that the simplest prayers are the ones where we

don't need to tell God our whole story. We just need to look at

Him and say, God, remember me, God, I fear you.

That's all you need to do. Those are powerful prayers. And I want

you to know what Jesus said. You know, when we read what Jesus

said, it has no impact in us unless we truly understand how Jesus said

it. You know, so many times we're given the opportunity, some of

us who have not known Jesus, and we hear this all the time.

Every Sunday, somebody says, if you want to know Jesus, you want

to give your life to Jesus, raise your hand and repeat after me this

prayer. And we sit in our chairs and we say, no, not

today, Oh no, not for me now. If that's you today,

I'm not hitting out at you. I'm just telling you a fact. Because

there was this one man on a cross who looked at Jesus and said,

Lord, remember me. And this is how Jesus replied him, this is

a very very bad example. I'm going to try and act it out,

but I think it will give you an insight. Then Jesus said to him,

shouldly I say unto you today, you who will be with me in

paradise, with pain, with almost a breath that he did not have,

suffering because the cross on his back was not a smooth piece of wood.

We can't even take a splinter in a finger. How many have you had

a wood splinter in your finger? Joyful? Very painful? He had it

on his back, and even as he was dehydrated and strung up in mortal

pain about to die, he can look at this man and with that pain,

say, today, man, he did not even say, get down

on your knees and say, Jesus, come into my heart and be my

Lord and savior. How many of us are not strung up on a cross,

and yet we find it so difficult to say those words? But one

Roberty and Jesus responded, very few things bring tears to my eyes. But

I was listening to a song the other day about this, and it was

the robber who was singing. It is said, when I said that I

saw paradise in his eyes. Man, I was bowling like a baby.

If I got to have my heart soft, I'm going to have it soft

to the Lord. I will have it hard to everybody else, but at

least to Jesus, I would keep it soft. Jesus worth seeing. He

had his focus open to anyone who wanted to be with him in paradise.

And that same promise is given to each and everyone here. If there's anyone

who wants paradise, who wants the kingdom of God. God has this one

word for you today today? Is that difference? Now? When you hear

this word, and Jesus said to him, surely I see unto you.

You will be with me in paradise. I promise you, every time you

read this word, it will never be the same because you will understand it

with the impact that Jesus meant for it in our lives. His eyes are

open, and what's he looking for? What is he seeing? He's seeing

the hearts of man. He's got his eyes open to see anyone who wants

to know him as Lord and savior. I want you to read from Mark

twelve to verse forty one, and says, now Jesus said opposite the treasury,

and saw how the people put money into the treasury, and many who

were rich put in much. Jesus sees faith, he sees faith. That

woman who put in the two little copper coins caught his attention because she did

what the rest did not do. The rest gave because they had. She

gave when she didn't have. What was the difference? She believed that God

could come through. Do we believe God will come through? Because if we

believe God will come through for us, I got news for you. He

will because he sees, He sees, he sees your heart. So this

is one aspect. Jesus sees faith, he sees sacrifice. Seeing ye in

this means in this context means catching a tens. We always need to catch

God's attention. Okay, so got the first one? Are we doing good

for time? Okay? Praise the Lord. The second one is God looks.

God looks? What? In this context, what is this God looks?

Well? It speaks of an active finding searching. God is searching for

something. He is actively finding something. What is it? Something he is

finding out? He's finding It is also to find for use. When God

looks, it is to find for use for his use. It is a

very purpose driven thing. What is like me? Very purpose driven? Huh?

Like management? Very purpose driven. So he's searching, he's finding for

use. It's an active finding. It's purpose driven. Why to fill a

vacant position? It's needs space. It's very specific. Well, well,

God knows management. You better believe in anything we know about management, we

learn from God. It's very very needs based. How many of us when

we are employing somebody, we say we're watching for an accountant, We're watching

for a management manager. Do we say that? What do we say?

We say, we're looking for an accountant, we are looking for a manager.

We got up. You know, we're actively doing something to find something

someone to feel a vacation vocation specific. In Matthew ten thirty five, it

says, then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their

synagogues. Jesus teaches, so he was teaching in their synagogues. He was

preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and healing every sickness and every disease among people

verse thirty six. But when he saw the multitudes, it's Matthew nine,

that's right, I got it. I made a mistake in my notes.

I got it changed. Okay, it's Matthew nine thirty six. But when

he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion because they were weary and

scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Do you know that That's how God

looks at us today. He looks at mankind and he sees the multitudes of

people, and he has compassion. He does because why we weary and scattered

like sheep having no shepherd. But then he said to his disciples, the

harvest truly is plentiful. Huh. You don't have to worry about whether or

not you've got a resource, whether you've got you don't have to worry about

whether you've got economy. Scripture is saying the economy is good. Scripture is

saying you've got plentiful house. You know, this plentiful house. When you

plan the weedner a lot of wheat ready to be harvested, it's like,

you know, you go to sekin Chug, you see the thousands of km

of square feet of paddy of rice, and then when the rice is grown

up and turns brown, lots of rice to be harvested, but no one

to do the job. How much can you cut? Hey, I understand

New Zealand. They employ people from around the work. Come, come,

come, New New Zealand, just to pick strawberries. That's the job.

Pick strawberries. Because if you can have a harvest of strawberries and no one

to pick it, it's of absolutely no use. You know, in Singapore

in the seventies and the eighties, they planted fruit trees. The fruit trees

were planted all around the you know, the towns and all that. It

was food trees. You know, in the middle of Orchard Road, in

between what is now I think it's Burger King now and Iron City Mall where

Iron City Mall used to be mango trees. Lots of mangoes always fall to

the ground, cannot pluck. You know what they found out they had to

chop all the trees off and remove it because the fruit was rotting. Therefore,

pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the field

into the harvest. You know what this means, you and I. You

and I are the potential laborers in the field. Wh God wants me to

be a laborer, better to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord

than to be a king in the palace. Better to be a laborer for

the Kingdom of God than to be a CEO with the mercies Bence, because

the ceo with the mercities Benz, who doesn't know Jesus, goes into a

crisis. Etnity, I guarantee you it's going to be a hot experience.

But when we know who Jesus is, the time will come where we go

into his wonderful kingdom called Heaven. Talking about mangoes, I love mangoes in

Heaven. You pluck the mango. In the moment you pluck the mango,

there's another one in its place all year around, mangoes on the tree.

That's Heaven. And I've shared with you that the one thing on your mind

must always be who can I share Jesus with? Who can I tell about

Jesus? Who needs to know what every Bible is saying? Look around you,

there's so many people. You know you're not meant to come up on

a stage and share with you. If that's what God wants you to do,

that's fine, But what about the person who's around you. We recognize

that calling friends to come for homes was too much of a difficult thing,

because friends will always say I got this, I got that. So you

know what we started doing. We started calling our neighbors who were not our

friends, who we just met. And now the neighbors have become friends and

they come to our homes. So our homes is attended now sixty percent by

neighbors. Go into the highways and the byways and force them to come in.

These are the last days, share Jesus. He's looking and now the

last one he's watching. What is God watching out for? What's the difference?

Do you know that? It's much deeper than just looking or seeing.

It's much deeper. When God is watching, he's watching out for something.

There's great care and concern. It's a deep interest in our welfare. When

God is watching, and you know watching out, you watch out for your

children. Whah you see a children going walking towards a hole, you say,

and now mine, I let him fall in and then he will learn

not to walk into the hole. How many of you will do that?

You won't is in it? You will go. You will tell the child

stop, or if the child doesn't stop, because most children don't stop,

you run after them. You catch them, You hit them. You give

them pain. You know what would have happened if you hadn't into the hole.

If you fell into the hole, you would have had pain. So

now mine, since you want pain so much, I give you pain.

Asian parents. Are you have to understand Asian parents? My parents? If

I fell into the hole after getting hurt, falling into the hole, and

they'll give me some more pain Asian parents. Mahah yeah, yeah, yeah.

So the thing is this, God is deeply interested in our welfare.

He wants to look out for his watching out for us. He's caring for

us. In lookfteen twenty, it says, and then he arose and came

to his father. This is the prodigal son. And when he saw he

was still a great way off. His father saw him and had compassion and

ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. The only time God ran

is when he ran towards his son, who had turned to his direction.

There's a song when God Ran. It's by Benny Hester. I think it's

nineteen eighty five. It stayed number one on the chants for two weeks.

Wonderful song When God Ran. It's amazing. It brings tears to the eyes.

I want you to know that the son had done a lot of mistakes

and made a lot of mistakes. But he just said one thing. I

will go to my father and I'll say I'm not worthy to be your son,

and I'll be like your servant, accept me back. And he turned

and he walked. You want to know something. The father did not go

after the sun when the son left her. But the father's attention was always

in the direction or where the son had traveled away too. God will not

stop you. If you want to do wrong, he will tell you,

he will advise you, and if you still decide to do it, he

will let you. But I want you to know something. His eyes are

always in your direction, because one day you will come to your senses and

you will turn back and say I want to go back to this father of

mine. And the moment you turn and take that step, God comes running

to you. Isn't that a wonderful thing? Isn't that lovely? I want

you to know what does it mean when God is watching out for us?

He said, I'm gonna call I want you to I want to be your

servant. I'm not worthy to be your son. What did the father do

the first thing he did was he put a robe around him, He put

a ring on his finger, and he puts sandals on his feet. All

symbols are what sonship, authority healing. So for God to be watching out

for us, it means that no weapon formed against it shall prosper lovely.

This world is out to get you, but do you know what it will

not prosper against you. You know what's another assurance to have God watching out

for us. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. The prodigal

son left, too, left the father. Did the father leave the prodigal

son? No, it was the son that left. But you see,

God will never leave us, not forsake us. The decision to stay with

God remains with us. Don't ever say God has left me. Slap yourself,

say I have left God, that's the truth, and come back,

come back to this loving God. When God is watching out for us,

it means that we are his sons and his daughters. We are important to

him. We are family. The song go all my sisters and me.

But you know I only had one sister and I'm all my sisters. Now

we are fair? Can you mention God singing a song? We are family.

Yes, we are his sons and his daughters. And that's what it

means to have God watching out for us. And I want you to notice,

a God who loves us sometimes will smack us when we need it.

You know that God chastises those whom he loves. If he does not love

us air, he will not correct us. So sometimes the correction is a

little bit painful. Stick with it, man, you will survive. Stick

with it. You will survive. He chastises those he loves. And I

got some parting words because she says it's two minutes. So if you like

the message and you wonder why it's so short, blame her. I will

always be and you're hearing this a lot from me. Go therefore and make

disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and

of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Guys, realize one thing.

This is the most important thing, because these are the last days. God's

got his eyes on you. If you fear him to give you a hope

of his mercy. Don't worry about your things. It's going to be okay.

God will take care of your things. Look out for those that need

help. And sometimes it's just your neighbor. Sometimes it's your colleague sitting by

the side of you. Do not think that you can only do a work

if you come up and preach before an audience. No, just do it

where you are. And I want to end with this, because blessed is

that servant whom his Master, when he comes, will find so doing.

You know, blessed are you when Jesus comes, he finds us taking care

of people, because what did he say? Look around you? The harvest

is plentiful. He is looking out for people. The Bible says it clearly

is looking out for those who will join in the harvesting of people. So

blessed are you When the Lord comes, he finds you so doing. Praise
