You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day today.
-
As I was praying, I don't know, God impressed on
-
mom my heart to share you this thing. And if
-
you're writing notes, and I want to encourage you, guys,
-
please write notes because you forget one if you ask
-
you or what do you page?
-
Last week? Some words forgot ready?
-
Our memory, we were shot, our attention spent even shorttern
-
now thirty seconds and after that cannot focus. Ready, you know,
-
write down notes, remember, put down things. The beginning of wisdom,
-
the beginning of wisdom, Problems nine to ten is the
-
key verse. And I'm going to read from verse ten
-
to verse chelf I, guys, okay. Problems nine ten says
-
the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
-
and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For
-
by me, your days will be multiplied and years of
-
life will be added to you. How many of you
-
want to live long? Some feel like I don't want
-
to live long?
-
Right? You want to live long? This is what the
-
Bible says. Right.
-
For by wisdom, your days will be multiplied and years
-
of life will be added to you.
-
If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. Huh,
-
what do you mean by that? God? And if you scoff,
-
you buried alone.
-
It basically just means, right, do you know who will
-
benefit out of your wisdom?
-
Yourself? No one else?
-
By yourself, meaning if you are wise, you are benefit
-
because you are wise. And if you scoff, scoff means
-
like you don't care lot, then you were buried alone,
-
meaning that if you're unwise, no one else will suffered
-
out of your own foolishness yourself. And if you're wise,
-
the same goals. When you are wise, you are bare
-
the benefits of wisdom. That's what the Bible says. No,
-
why I say? Okay, So what does the Bible teachers.
-
The Bible teach us to look for wisdom, You gotta
-
look for it, okay, Right, to search for wisdom, like
-
we're searching for hidden treasure. How you have a last time?
-
Got we got played? Like treasure hunting quite exciting, right,
-
tree hunting?
-
Right?
-
And then when you find the trade. Sometimes it's the
-
trill of searching for the treasure. It's a trill of it, right, Hell,
-
not everybody here like treasure hunting. I can see some
-
of you're bored of that oki my mind. So Problems
-
two four or five says, if you seek her at
-
silver and search for her as hidden treasure, for hidden treasures,
-
then you will understand the fear of the Lord and
-
find knowledge of God. So the Bible teaches us to
-
search for wism. So we got to search for wisdom.
-
Guys. It won't come easy. It doesn't just come like that. Right.
-
The Lord is the one who gives us wisdom. How
-
do you say that?
-
Let's read Proverbs chapter two, verse sixty seven. You guys
-
should got your Bible with you. I think it is
-
by no chance right that today our laptop cannot show
-
scripture because I think God wants you to know that
-
you have to bring your own bible to church.
-
Sorry for being direct, I'm very direct.
-
I think we've taken for granted the word of God.
-
It's become too convenient for us. When they told me,
-
just sounds so funny you want to put scripture or not?
-
I said you can, but we cannot put. Then you
-
ask me for what you're asking me something I say,
-
need to and then no, I'm just joking, okay?
-
Is that wisdom?
-
Problems chatter two, What does first sixty seven says, for
-
the Lord gives wisdom from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Wow,
-
do you believe in that or not? The Lord himself
-
gives wisdom. Amen, he starts up sound wisdom for the upright.
-
He's a shield to those who walk up rightly. So
-
what does it mean? God is a shield of to
-
those for those who walk up rightly.
-
That's the saying, good guys die first? Right?
-
Is the Is there such a saying? No, don't have
-
I thought it was the saying like that. Actually I
-
would say, good guys die last, finished last? Right, good
-
guys finished last?
-
Is it?
-
That's the saying, oh, you know, but all the wicked
-
people are getting richer and rich and richer. Oh but
-
all the people that are playing politics and doing all
-
nonsense is succeeding.
-
Are they really succeeding? Are they really?
-
Are they? The Bible says God is a shield for
-
those who walk up rightly? Are you saying that the
-
Bible is not true when you claim such things?
-
Okay?
-
Asking questions? Now, he guards the path of justice. I
-
remember hearing this phrase, or I can't remember which one.
-
Someone I was watching on YouTube okay, And a person
-
said he have come to learn and realize that you
-
can never get away with evil.
-
Huh, what do you mean by that? Now?
-
Meaning if you commit evil in this world right even now,
-
you cannot run away.
-
One you will be found out one. You'll be caught one.
-
And if you study history, and you study the most
-
atrocious thing man has ever done, it doesn't last long one. No. Yeah,
-
maybe they succeeded in killing a lot of people, but
-
it only lasts a few years. One whose judgment and
-
righteousness you think is controlling that, Because if it's true evil,
-
and if they can get away with it, you have
-
lasted way longer than what we know. But God never
-
allows it to last. That also means in our own lives,
-
caution for all of us here. If you're doing nonsense,
-
you'll be found out. Sooner or later, you'll be found out.
-
One.
-
We cannot run away from God. People who are wicked
-
cannot run away from God. Yes, God causes rain to
-
shine on both. He you know he causes it because
-
we always have this thought, if the person's better now,
-
only bad things happen to to the person.
-
That's why we have.
-
This understand something we have this understanding not so mature,
-
and I'll tell you it's not true. Oh, if something
-
bad happens to me means I've seen guys. How close
-
minded are we? Let's not think that way. But God
-
gives us wisdom.
-
Amen.
-
And the Bible teaches us to look for wisdom. And
-
what else does God do? He preserves the way of
-
his sayings. This is the safety that we have with God.
-
When we are with him and we are walking up rightly,
-
he takes care of us. Eventually. Even first day you suffer,
-
eventually God will take care of you. So you don't
-
have to worry. You don't have to worry. God is
-
the one that will take care of you. Yes, someone
-
might frame you, but eventually it will be found out. Yes,
-
you might lose everything, but eventually. So you don't dabble
-
into things that you shouldn't devel into. Because if you
-
are wronged and you fight wrong with wrong thinking that
-
God will help you after that. Hello, But if you
-
are wronged and you continue to remain righteous, he will
-
take care of you. That's the promise of the Bible.
-
Are you catching that or not? Are you catching that?
-
And what does the Bible say? Sorry, what does the Bible,
-
say right continuously. Then you will understand the fear of
-
the Lord and find the knowledge of God. We will
-
understand righteousness and justice and value every good path Proverbs
-
two ten fifteen.
-
Let's read that.
-
Okay, when wisdom enters your heart and knowledge is pleasant
-
to your soul, discretion will preserve you.
-
I'm gonna stop here.
-
Do you know that it is very important for us
-
to learn how to be to have discretion? You know
-
what discress means, not discernment correct well, not correct? H I
-
don't I used to work correct or wrong? Go some
-
nice that makes it very you know, legalistic.
-
You know.
-
Decernment is not about correct or wrong. Discernment about whether
-
or not you should or should not do something. You
-
discern you know you consider not Everything that seems correct
-
will put you in a place of success, will put
-
you in a place where you will, you know, have
-
abundant life. Some things we decide on thinking that it's
-
a good idea, later we regret or later we suffer.
-
Our discernment is off. You'll catch that. You'll catch that.
-
So wisdom helps us with that.
-
When wisdom enters our heart and knowledge is pleasant to
-
our soul, discretion will preserve you, and understanding will keep you.
-
To deliver you from the way of evil, from the
-
man who speaks perverse things right, from those who leave
-
the paths of uprightness to work in the ways of darkness,
-
who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perversity
-
of the wicked, whose ways are crooked.
-
And who are devious in their paths. To deliver you
-
from the immoral woman.
-
Okay, now it continues to go to some other place ready,
-
So which path are we taking today? Do you know
-
that every path you take riches somewhere? It does? And
-
the Bible is very clear. Some paths lead to destruction.
-
Maybe during the start of the path of everything very nice,
-
right can buy house by car look awesome, but eventually
-
it will lead to destruction. But some paths lead to
-
and abundant life. Maybe the beginning is very difficult, things
-
are very hard, but eventually you will come to a
-
place of peace.
-
Does that make sense not?
-
Sometimes we evaluate things based on what we see and
-
what we think is nice, But there's always something behind
-
the curtain. Unless you know, you won't really know. So
-
we got to think about it. What path am I
-
taking today? Is it the path towards righteousness, or if
-
it is the path towards destruction, that's you know, God,
-
it's very clear. No, it's either righteousness or destruction. There's
-
no righteousness or on. Righteousness means the moment you're not
-
righteous means you're going on the wrong halfday, you're getting
-
yourself in trouble. Don't get yourself in trouble.
-
Oh okay? Are you guys? Okay? And it says here
-
discretion will preserve us.
-
Understanding will keep us means when you don't understand something,
-
it's very dangerous. If you don't understand something, it's very
-
very dangerous.
-
You know.
-
When you understand something, it's not so hard, you know.
-
And a lot of times we come to a place
-
where we trust we don't understanding. That's very dangerous. Please understand,
-
Please don't yeh, stop to the expert. But you also
-
need to learn, you know, you also need to go
-
and find out, are.
-
You guys okay? Okay?
-
So I establish ready number one, wisdom is important, right corent?
-
Okay? How many of you hear things? Wisdom is not important?
-
No wisdom Okay, I think I've made my point law
-
and I've established also that the Bible teaches us to
-
look for wisdom, follow us word. The second thing is
-
who gives us wisdom, God, God gives us wisdom right.
-
Right.
-
That tells me that wisdom is very hard for me
-
to turn out on my own. It has to come
-
from somewhere, right, because if not, then I will constantly
-
be trying and testing and failing and hopefully not making
-
the same mistake again. But if wisdom comes from the Lord,
-
means that I can come to a place where I
-
can have wisdom and not make mistakes in a way
-
when the same mistakes for myself, no, not for anyone
-
else here, not make or decide on something that will
-
put me in trouble. When I receive wisdom from the Lord. Okay,
-
and when we have wisdom in our heart, we will
-
understand meaning I will know what is righteousness, I will
-
know what is justice. I don't know right from wrong right,
-
And I will value a good path. I will know
-
that this is a good path. Wisdom teaches me that,
-
and I continue in this path. And the more I
-
continue this pathway, I will reach a place about in life.
-
But if I continue in this other pathway.
-
I will lead to destruction, stress, anxiety, worry, trouble.
-
You know all these things. Okay, So what is wisdom? Sorry?
-
What is wisdom? I had this revelation that day. I yeah,
-
and those that ask for help wait in a while,
-
I'll call you up.
-
Okay.
-
I just want to give you a picture on what
-
wisdom is. Okay, because some of us we think that
-
intelligence is wisdom.
-
Is intelligence wisdom? No? Okay? Because you get someone that's
-
super smartner but not wise? Not right? Is information wisdom? Oh?
-
This person knows everything, but you know, but you don't
-
know how to apply cora. Not.
-
So it's not with them knowing everything, is not with
-
them being very smart?
-
Social wisdom? Right? What is wisdom?
-
No, it's not about being knowledgeable or being smart. It's
-
about making the right decision. That's wisdom, corent not okay,
-
It's about discerning what is right at what time?
-
Correct. That's wisdom.
-
Okay, that's wisdom, and the wisdom that God gives us
-
keeps us safe from destruction. Parents, you know this very well.
-
Parents who have young kids or kids are young. Ready,
-
you've been through before, ready, right, life, you've gone through
-
trouble ready, right right. Some of us have made mistakes
-
as well, right, and we want to make sure our
-
kids don't make the same mistake, or our kids will
-
be in a better standing.
-
So we give them wisdom. Whether you receive it or not,
-
there's another thing, but we give them wisdom.
-
If you wake up late for school all the ti time,
-
you're gonna get expelled. If you get expelled, you cannot study.
-
If you cannot study, then what do you do next time?
-
When you work?
-
Right, If you go out in the rain and don't
-
wear a shirt and only wear your swimming trunks and
-
run around for two hours, you're gonna fall sake? Is
-
that wisdom? Wisdom? Corona? Okay, Okay, let me go deeper. Okay,
-
let's read Proverbs chapter two, verse thirteen to twenty two.
-
What do you say?
-
Okay for those who Okay, I read some ready, I'm
-
just gonna continue. Who forsakes the companion of a youth
-
and forgets the covenant of a god for her house
-
leads down to death and her paths to the dad.
-
None who go to her return, nor do they regain
-
the paths of like Okay, design is talking about let's see,
-
Oh wow, I lost the scripture? Okay, yeah, to deliver
-
you from the immoral woman. Okay, he's talking about your
-
moroman So you may walk in the way of goodness
-
and keep to the paths ah, let's read that, Okay,
-
whose ways are crooked and who are devious in their paths?
-
To deliver you from the immoral woman.
-
From the structress who flatters with her words, who forsakes
-
the companion of her youth, and forgets the covenant of
-
a god. For her house leads down to death, and
-
her paths to the dead. None who go to their return,
-
nor do they regain the paths of life.
-
So you may walk in.
-
The way of goodness and keep to the paths of righteousness.
-
For the upright will dwell in the land, and the
-
blameless will remain in it, but the wicked will be
-
cut off from the earth, and the unfaithful will be
-
uprooted from it. So wisdom that God gives us keeps
-
us safe.
-
Okay.
-
So just to give you an example of wisdom, and
-
want to ask Jamie and Selene to come out and
-
just to show you this little thing about wisdom. If
-
you still like, don't have any clarity you need yet,
-
just to explain, just say, sometimes when you talk about wisdom.
-
It can be a bit tricky to understand what is wisdom,
-
not why it's not wisdom. But just oftime, you're just
-
gonna do this little illustration you guys. Okay, can I
-
this guy?
-
Okay?
-
Yeah, okay, So just to do that thing, Selene and
-
Jamie colleagues Okay, uh you actually you can replace this
-
scenario with a lot of things, either colleagues or schoolmates
-
or whatever. And Selene is gonna ask you me to Yeah,
-
you'll see that. You'll see what happened. Okay.
-
The monthly report, right is coming up? So when can
-
you give it to me tomorrow? Can?
-
Okay, hold on before you answer so fast. So anyway,
-
just to let you know she's asking for something monthly
-
pot and I just give you a bit of insightler
-
because you all don't know.
-
Right.
-
So Jamie actually can complete the monthly report in two days.
-
If let's say nothing goes wrong, she just focuses on it.
-
In two days, you can finish it. She needs two
-
working days. Okay, this is about for you hours, two
-
working days for everything to be delivered.
-
And that's what she can. But then what did she
-
answer tomorrow?
-
Okay, so tomorrow means, is it two days? No?
-
You can count? Right? Hey? Can I get some response?
-
He or not? Two? Is it two days? Tomorrow? Todays? No? Right?
-
Today and tomorrow? My goodness.
-
Wow, they're becoming illegally saying, you know, okay, tomorrow and tomorrow, okay, tomorrow,
-
twenty four hours.
-
Let's count ours again.
-
Let's say she needs for eight hours, but she said
-
one day, which is twenty four hours. So I ask
-
you a simple question. Is that wise or foolish? It's
-
not wise? Right, she needs more time. Why do you
-
promise one day when you know you.
-
Can finish it in two days? Okay? So when can
-
you give it to me? I think a month? La? Okay? Good? Right?
-
One man? Is that good?
-
Yo? Saying yeah, yeah, yeah, one man is good. Some
-
are like no, no, why why is he not good?
-
One man?
-
Ma, it's a monthly report. It's too late, really right?
-
What if it's not a monthly report? Why is a
-
yearly report? It's one man, okay, it's I'm not sure.
-
Some are like, yeah, yeah, I actually need a month
-
because I need one way to sleep, one way to dream,
-
one way to do research, another way to rest.
-
The only I can do the work in two days.
-
It's not wise?
-
Right?
-
Why is he not wise? Why does she need a
-
man when she can complete it in two days?
-
Is that wisdom? Think about what's wise and what's not wise?
-
So what's the answer. When can you give it to me, Jimmy?
-
Two days like todays? Two days? Okay? Okay, let me
-
ask you a question now, is that wise? Is that wise? Okay?
-
Now we've got very some say why. Some say not wise?
-
Not wise? Not wise?
-
Huh? Buffer buffer? Okay? I want to I want to
-
ask those give you here then? Okay, you're just here here? Okay?
-
Yeah, yeah, so wingman, she can finish in two days,
-
but she said todays, which you got record?
-
Why you say it's not wise? Just give one day buffer?
-
Just in case?
-
Just give one day buffer? Just why do we need buffer?
-
Everything is perfect.
-
Because you don't know if you'll be perfect. You don't
-
know it'd be perfect until you do it. Okay, don't
-
stay shake here one agree or not agree? Agree? Okay?
-
So one day buffer? Okay, one day buffer? Okay, So
-
let's continue this scenario.
-
So when can you give it to VDB? Let me
-
check out realistically? I think one week, one week Okay, okay,
-
let me ask you a question. Is that wise? Yes?
-
But wingman say one day buffer? Sorry? Thanks? So I
-
give them hand, give them a hand, give them a hand.
-
Okay, So one week five working days for those of
-
you legalistic people, because we can.
-
Oh, no, no, five working days? So is that? Why?
-
Is or not?
-
Her promise is why? It's why she got some buffet time.
-
Why because Murphy's law, if anything can go wrong, it
-
will go wrong. Those of us will be working very long.
-
We understand this very well. Ah right, Sorr? Yeah, Andre.
-
Under promise of reliever? Yes, yes, no, but da she
-
under promised one man?
-
What why then? Why not? Correct? Not realistic?
-
You're a very good lah can can set smile goals?
-
Friends? You understand what is wisdom? Correct or not? Now?
-
Can I ask you a question? Can you apply that
-
in every area of your life? Easy to say?
-
How to? Do you know? But I love the guy
-
so much and he's not a Christian.
-
I I work Monday to Friday. Really want to come
-
early for Sunday?
-
For what a boss? Are? Sorry? Sorry? Boss? Might you know?
-
I on on the germ is getting worse and worse.
-
That's why I late. That's why getting later and later,
-
sleep earlier, very hard. I'm not a night I'm not
-
a night person.
-
The ballet.
-
You guys know why his wisdom? You know how to promise, under, promise,
-
over deliver. Right, isn't it wise? It's quite right when
-
you compabiting it Was it wrong for her to promise
-
one man? No, it was not wrong, but it was
-
not wise. Actually, was it even wrong for her to
-
promise two days? It's correct. No, it was not wrong,
-
but it was not wise. Is he about wrong and right?
-
Do you know that Bible is very clear about what's
-
wrong and right, very clear, very clear about what's wrong
-
and right. Anything that is within the ten commaments are
-
wrong right? No need to argue.
-
But why?
-
Everything else is up to interpretation. No, it's not friends.
-
Everything else is whether or not you are foolish or wise.
-
Your cashare not hey. I want you to succeed. No,
-
I want you to not have so much problem in
-
your life. No, I want you to live long and all.
-
I want you to be a blessing to the people
-
around you. I want you to be stress free, be wise,
-
make the right choice, be the man.
-
Right now, you don't get a joke. It's long time gone.
-
Ready if you read Problems, Actually, Problems is a very
-
good to read to understand God's wisdom.
-
Right, you know, Solomon, when.
-
God say, tell me what you want, I will give
-
you anything and everything whatever you want, Solomon, smart, God
-
give me wisdom and then everything flow after that. Why
-
Because when someone is wise, and when they make wise decisions,
-
and when they make the right decisions, they are setting
-
themselves up for success. You see all these lines we
-
catch easy to say, how to do right, easy to say,
-
how to do?
-
Why?
-
Because our hearts are deceiving, because we fall prey to
-
our emotions. Because we we we don't suffer. We just
-
want it now. And now it's even worse. No, now
-
it's even worse. Everything is so fast. Parents, you know
-
you're dealing with your kids. You understand that you're dealing
-
with tantrums that you've never dealt before.
-
Last time? Huh you are now.
-
Betters, take the slipper and heat no, then you'll be quiet.
-
Ready. Problems is a good book to read on God's wisdom.
-
I encourage of you to read it, okay, because if
-
you look at the first two chapters, it just establishes
-
why what wisdom is important, right, And where do you
-
get it from? You have to get it from somewhere.
-
It just can't come out from anywhere, you know. And
-
of course we say this God created. You haven't said
-
the earth. Don't you think he has the blueprint to life?
-
Yes? Why we now follow.
-
A lot of things are very obvious, it's glaring in
-
our face, but we don't realize. And then we get
-
stuck in the world of information, and we get over
-
fed with information, and then we start believing all kinds
-
of things that does not bring wisdom to the situation.
-
And then we wonder why we're in trouble, and then
-
we wonder why, oh why are this happened?
-
That happened?
-
Oh, it's because this person's walk, that person's walk, everybody's
-
person's walk. It's because of our nation, it's because of.
-
Our life, it's because of my parents.
-
Everyone else will not by your own. And then the
-
Bible clearly says when you are wise, you benefit, and
-
when you're foolish you benefit. Take responsibility of your life.
-
Take responsibility of your life. This is something that I've
-
been talking to the people around me as well to say, hey,
-
you know, the one thing clearly that I understand recently
-
is the taking of responsibility. I use myself as an example.
-
Before my stent, was I wise in my health?
-
No? Totally not ignorant? More like it? No, God, because
-
I self him right, super ignorant.
-
Now different story, I'm thinking, because I have to take
-
responsibility of my own health, something that God has already
-
given me. If I don't take responsibility that, how can
-
I be seen as a righteous man? Because I don't
-
take responsibility on what that has been entrusted to me.
-
If I don't take responsibility on my own family that
-
has been entrusted to me, Can I just blame my
-
kids for being naughty?
-
No?
-
I have to take responsibility because I'm the father of
-
the house. I set the rules. Isn't that right? And
-
if they don't follow the rules because I'm over straight
-
and don't love them enough or don't sign them enough,
-
whose fault?
-
Is it my fault?
-
They're under my care and my wives or foolish Bible
-
says don't provote your kids, and I love to message them.
-
Really, I'm not following what the Bible is saying. I'm
-
not being wise.
-
You know that if I continue to provote my kids,
-
they're not going to listen to me. But do you
-
know that if I love my kids no matter what,
-
even if it's difficult, they will listen because they know
-
they're dead live, So do I set the rule on law?
-
Who's responsibility? My responsibility because they're my kids. Later on,
-
when they grow up and they live their life, who's
-
response their responsibility? At their adult say they're not gonna
-
listen to me anymorelready? Can they blame their daddy?
-
Oh yeah, aah?
-
My father never teach me. Why you never learned why
-
new grow? You know, there are a lot of things
-
in my life that can blame. You know, I'm not
-
rich enough, like guys, I'm not rich enough. Nobody taught
-
me to be eloquent. You know a lot of things
-
we can blame. You know, it's very easy and convenient
-
do that. But he said, wise, that's the question I
-
gave you. Problems tree is the instructions that the father
-
is living to his son, instructions or wisdom, sharing the
-
consequences of good things and bad if we follow or
-
don't follow wisdom. You can read Problebstree and of course
-
it establishes it with Problebstree vers five. Trust the Lord
-
with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
-
Why does it tell you that because we don't know enough,
-
none of us here will know enough. None of us
-
here will ever understand. That's why we need discernment. Not
-
just trusting our own experience, but discernment in the spirit
-
is important. Right and in all your ways, acknowledge Him
-
and He shares direct It is a promise. Not do
-
you know that if you acknowledge God in everything that
-
you do, he will take care of you. He will
-
make sure you're in the right way. That's why when
-
you pray for something and you say, Lord, please give
-
me this, and you don't get it. Now, do you
-
know that God is directing your path. Don't be so
-
quick to say, oh, say, don't get me behind me
-
because you never give me that thing that I wanted.
-
Your Father in Heaven knows what is good for you.
-
If you didn't get what you wanted, then it's not
-
good for you. That's something you got to consider. We
-
only want the here now, but God is thinking about future.
-
Our kids only want the here now, but the parents
-
are always thinking about their future. What kind of son
-
am I going to raise up if I keep giving
-
into it all that he wants.
-
Right, what more offer in heaven?
-
Imen another point, there is security in wisdom, there is right,
-
and we will have long life if we are wise.
-
However, if we are foolish, and please.
-
Take note on this, we can cut short our own lives.
-
Can I almost cut short my own life? And we
-
should learn to live and be wise, making wise decisions
-
in life for our health, our family, and our life.
-
The Bible cautions us to constantly to not walk in
-
the path of the wicked Proverbs Chapter four of US
-
fourteen to seventeen. Let's read that Proverbs four fourteen to
-
seventeen says, do not enter the path of the wicked,
-
and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it,
-
and do not travel on it. Turn away from it
-
and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they
-
have done evil, and their sleep is taken away unless
-
they make some and fall, For they eat the bread
-
of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. But the
-
path of the just is like the shining sun that
-
shines ever brighter on through the perfect day. The way
-
of the wicked is like darkness. They do not know
-
what makes them stumble. My son, give attention to my words.
-
Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them
-
depart from your eyes, and keep them in the midst
-
of your heart, for they are alive to those who.
-
Find them, and health to all their flesh.
-
Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it
-
springs the issues of life. You know what that means,
-
not friends, All your stress and anxiety, right comes from
-
the heart. That's why you have to guard your heart.
-
That's why you have to know who is the king
-
of your heart. Because if you allow your heart to
-
be taken by anyone else, if your heart you allow
-
your heart to be released to the world, you will
-
be disappointed and the issues of life will engulf you.
-
Your heart is very important, but your heart is so
-
very deceiving.
-
That's how they say. Lean not on your own understanding,
-
or I feel I need to be careful. Right, be
-
are careful.
-
Put away from your deceitful mouth, and put perverse s
-
lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead,
-
and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path
-
of your feet, and let all your ways be established.
-
Do not turn to the right or to the left.
-
Remove your foot from evil problem six warns us of
-
many things we can take note in our daily lives.
-
You read proverb six many temptations and many pitfalls. I'm
-
just gonna randomly read one. Okay, let's see P. Six.
-
People do not despise a thief if he steals to
-
satisfy himself when he's starving. Yet when he's found, he
-
must restore seven four. He may have to give up
-
all the substance of his house. Whoever commits a doubtery
-
with a woman like understanding, He who does so destroys
-
his own soul, wow wounds and dishonor he will get
-
and his reproach will not be wiped away, For jealousy
-
is a husband's theory. Therefore he will not spare in
-
the day of vengeance. He will accept no recompense, nor
-
will he appease. Though you give many gifts a lot
-
of warnings here verse six. Wisdom keeps us secure because
-
if we follow wisdom, we won't get in trouble. But
-
when we follow foolishness, then you get in trouble. Let
-
me use a very simple example. When you drive on
-
the road, use hands free.
-
Is wise.
-
Why because if you use your phone beyond just the
-
police coming to catch you, and then you have to
-
go through uh, you know, the court. You might bang
-
someone and the person might die. Then we see who
-
is wise?
-
You know? That's the thing about people know things don't
-
go back.
-
Now, we are okay one, but do you know that
-
if you never and are always careful in your car,
-
you will never even come to a place where you
-
will accidentally hit someone. The accident won't even happen because
-
you are just not doing it.
-
Do you know that? If you.
-
Do, you know that one of the something I learned, Okay,
-
one of the ways to not be late now is
-
to be earlyer. And one of the ways to be
-
early and not be affected by jam is to be
-
even earlier. Do you know that to not be late,
-
you just need to be very early. But a lot
-
of us here are living on time. We're just on time.
-
We're just on time. Is that what you're happy with?
-
On time?
-
Or you prefer to be early? Food for thought? The
-
fear of the Lord is to hate evil Proverbs eight
-
thirty two thirty six says oh, let me read problems
-
eight thirteen.
-
Are you guys okay? I hope you guys are catching something?
-
Proverbs eight thirteen says the fear of the Lord is
-
to hate evil. Okay, pride and arrogance and the evil
-
way and the perverse mouth I hate. Let me talk
-
a little bit about the perverse mouth. The Bible says
-
only gossip can destroy friendship. Only gossip can destroy friendship.
-
Yet gossip is sweet to our lips things that are
-
not nice. Sometimes even complains. Is it wrong to complain?
-
Where I don't think it's wrong to complain now?
-
Right?
-
But I think you know something you will say, Oh,
-
constructive criticism. You know, when you give the constructive criticism
-
not to the person they're supposed to hear it, it's
-
called gossip. And if you gossip enough and it sounds
-
good and you like the latest one, do you know
-
that it is a path to destruction, not just to yourself,
-
but to destroy other things. Do you know that good
-
friends that have been friends for many years can be
-
no longer friends just because someone says something that they
-
shouldn't say?
-
Friends?
-
Can I caution you on this, be very careful about
-
your speak, because the Lord sees.
-
No, not me. I don't know, Okay, I'm ignorant.
-
Some people can ask me, oh, you know, are affected
-
by saty say, actually, nobody will talk to me about
-
bad stuff because they know I'll say so they they're
-
not also right, so I highly hear bad things that okay,
-
I only see good things, thank God. But if constantly
-
you're hearing bad things around you, and constantly you're hearing
-
what people are saying, whether it's your and I'm not
-
talking about church, I'm talking about your company, your family,
-
you constantly want to talk Sila.
-
The day Daniela I saw him.
-
You know, you know what he shouldn't know because he
-
fat ready Hanserlin and he now go exercise ask him. Come, Jimy,
-
come friends, be very careful, perverse talk, watch yourself, watch
-
what you say right be you are careful. I'm sparing
-
you a lot of headache. You are careful, Okay, problems
-
eight three twenty six says Now, therefore, listen to me,
-
my children. For blessed are those who keep my waist
-
here instruction and be wise. Again, it's not me, it's
-
what the Bible says, what God says, and do not
-
disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me,
-
watching daily at my gates, waiting at the polls of
-
my doors. For whoever finds me finds life and obtains
-
favor from the Lord. But he who sins against me
-
wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.
-
And the Bible says, the fear of the Lord is
-
the beginning of wisdom. Okay, let me establish. Let me
-
try my best to establish this understanding about the fear
-
of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the
-
beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One
-
is understanding.
-
For by me or.
-
Days we multiplied, and years of life will be added
-
to you. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself.
-
And if you scoff, you are buried alone. I think
-
the best way to understand the fear of the Lord
-
and wisdom is to understand the fear of children to
-
their parents. Makes sense not because not parents, you know right,
-
Not everything you can explain to your kids one. Neither
-
do you have the luxury of time to tell your
-
kids you know what if this happened, this happened, that happened,
-
that happened. These you can't just say don't do it,
-
you say stop, You just say hey, when you earn money,
-
spend less than you may Why I.
-
Got credit card, or I just use nimah. Hello, Hello.
-
When you earn money, spend less than you make. Don't
-
get in debt. But that's such a normal thing. Why
-
do I spend that?
-
No? No, I can use a few years down the.
-
Road when you're not making enough money and you're deep
-
in debt and you keep trying to find your way
-
out of debt, and then you get deeper in debt.
-
Shouldn't you have in the beginning spend less than you make.
-
The thing about foolishness sometimes it's not very obvious one
-
you only discover later.
-
Right.
-
So when kids fear their parents, and they will just
-
following what their parents say. The parents are saving them
-
from a lord. Heytache, the parents are saving them from
-
lave with them. And a lot of times, right, you
-
see other people or you see things that only realize.
-
Thank god, I followed that instruction. Thank god I did
-
that right. This is the same thing about the fearing
-
of God. When we fear God, we follow his commandments.
-
And when we follow his commandments, we set ourselves up
-
for success. But when we don't fear God, we won't
-
follow his commandments. Listen for what you're not scheduled kids
-
they are not afraid of their parents, will listen to
-
their parents.
-
Will you know that?
-
Right? They won't? For what, I'm not afraid? Who are
-
you the boss of me? I can do whatever I want.
-
I can sleep whatever I want, I can do whatever
-
I want. I can study whenever I want. I just
-
do whatever I want. Not realizing that the parents are
-
paying their bills right, paying their rant, right, saving money
-
for your future. Not not realizing that no, no, it's your.
-
Job word do whatever I want to.
-
But they don't realize that right, and then it becomes
-
a right. So the side when the Bible says the
-
fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. He's
-
trying to teach us. Know, when we learn to fear authority,
-
and we learn to fear God, we will set ourselves
-
up a subf sass because it's not just about a
-
year now. It is always about the future. It's not
-
just about yeah, you can comedy. It's not just about
-
today you need you know, Yes, today might not feel good,
-
but it's always about tomorrow, you know. It's always about
-
setting ourselves up to experience the abandant life of God.
-
We have to follow it. Now.
-
Yes, it's boring. Yes, it's difficult. Yes it's not as exciting,
-
but it's important.
-
A lot of us here who are adults.
-
How many of you here have come to a place
-
right where you wish you have listened to your parents
-
when you were younger on one or two things. I'm
-
sure some of you have. You know what I have
-
wished I would have done last time, long time ago.
-
I wish I would have learned how to save money better.
-
I wish I would have learned certain things.
-
You know.
-
One of the things I wish i've done that my
-
mom kind of let me decide on my own. And
-
I decided on my own. And I'm like, Mama, I
-
didn't force me was to swim. Until today, I don't
-
how swim? You know, not too late, my wife say
-
to that, Yeah, not too late.
-
I'm already I'm lazy. So imagine my wife suggested you
-
go and learn.
-
With your kids are one forty through your old uncle
-
there trying to swim with all the young boys. How
-
humiliating is that? Malula? Sorry, you're okay, fine, it's okay,
-
it's just me my ego. Okay, No, but if I
-
if I've learned it when I was younger, much better.
-
You know, this thing about the fear of the Lord
-
is so important in our lives. When we fear the Lord,
-
we will walk in the past of unrightness. And the
-
more we want in the past of art right nours,
-
we will make white susicians. And the more we make
-
white susicians, we will have abandoned life.
-
But do you know what messages with that? Our emotions, our.
-
Hearts, our sight decided. Bible says, look straight, look straight,
-
don't look.
-
To the left. You know what's at the left or
-
the right? Other people? No, no, look don't look there.
-
Looks straight, looks straight, looks straight, looks straight, you know,
-
don't look left, don't look right, look straight. But but
-
but the person's doing this, the person's doing so well
-
that the person invests in this thing, you know, and
-
getting so much. You know, I should do it. I
-
should do it, and then do ready three months later
-
lost everything? Yeah, I regret, be too late. La, looks straight,
-
look straight, look at the lot, look at Christ, look
-
at the word. Let the word of God guide you.
-
We got cheat hip. You know this is the cheat ship,
-
But we don't use it. I think we need to
-
learn to use it.
-
Don't you.
-
I think we need to learn to be wise. You know,
-
you realize that a lot of things right. I remember
-
when I was when I was seventeen, quite young, and
-
I was reading Problems and I was reading Solomon.
-
I ask God, I said, God, And my life wasn't
-
that great then?
-
And I always asked questions like why why do I
-
Why am I living in such a life? Why am
-
I living in a situation where my family is always
-
shouting at home all the time?
-
This is my normal life? Now? Why do I? Why
-
do I see other people?
-
Or now see RB see other people and they're having
-
such a wonderful family time and going to Disneyland.
-
Now and I'm stuck here? Why what's the difference? God?
-
Can you give me wisdom that I will make the
-
right decisions? Can you give me wisdom like King Solomon?
-
If you can give him, you can give me. Give
-
me wisdom. Give me wisdom to make the right choices.
-
Give me wisdom to not put myself in trouble. Give
-
me wisdom, Lord, because I.
-
Want to be able to walk upright. I don't want
-
to just listen to anybody.
-
I just want to follow your wisdom.
-
That was so long ago. I think I'm pretty okay. Now,
-
I think I'm pretty okay. Why am I sharing this
-
to you?
-
You can ask off for wisdom too. If you think
-
I'm wise enough, I don't know. I don't think i
-
am that. If you think for those who have interested me,
-
I will let you know. The only reasons because I
-
prayed for it. The only reason is because it's couseworth.
-
This is where you get wisdom, right. Yeah, it may
-
not be the most happening thing or the most updated thing,
-
but I think it's wisdom that a family unit is
-
between a man and woman. I think it's wisdom that
-
you need both parents to parent a child. God intended
-
it in a certain way, you know, and we should
-
never change that. You know why the words so messed
-
up now, it's because men want to do his own thing.
-
That's why it's messed up. Now.
-
You try so hard to make things a certain way.
-
But time and time again, the wisdom of the Bible
-
helps set us up for success and abundant life. That's
-
not for sake, amen, If you didn't remember anything, just
-
remember this. The fear of the Lord is the beginning
-
of wisdom. Fearing God first helps us. So friends, Proverbs ten,
-
the proverbs that you want all the way. Proverbs one
-
to Nina was just setting up what is wisdom and
-
what will happen? But Proverbs ten to promise that you
-
want if you go, go and read, go and read. Wow, guys,
-
it is the wisdom of King Solomon all the way.
-
I just read one. Okay, I read one just now,
-
and I think it's so true. It says here. And
-
this is in relation to why I just share view
-
about my own life. He says here in chapter seventeen,
-
verse one, better in it's a dry muscle in quietness
-
than a house full of feasting with strife.
-
Isn't it true?
-
You don't have anything right by your peace, it's way
-
better than you have everything, and it's just stress shouting.
-
Hate. Why is there a conflict?
-
Chinese drama, Pakistani drama, Indian drama or drama?
-
Everything drama? They got everything? They drama drama? No, I think,
-
are you read? No?
-
Just give me guardia break a were happy. I just
-
need peace and quiet. Isn't it wisdom? Isn't that wisdom?
-
So much wisdom in the Bible. It's time for us
-
to read it. It's time for us to apply so
-
let's seek wisdom in our life, to fear the law
-
and to hate evil, to seek the lawd and to
-
walk the paths of righteousness, even though it might be difficult, Guys,
-
it will be. It's not easy doing the right thing,
-
but it's for your benefit. It's not being righteous, it's
-
not easy being righteous, by it's for your benefit. To
-
set ourselves up for success. You save yourself a lot
-
of headache if you are just wise. I pray to
-
everybody here will want to be wise.
-
Amen.
