  1. You're listening to a message to go from ex church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Today's message it is something that God ministered to me

  4. two three days back. The title is for God So

  5. loved the World. Okay, the writing notes for God so

  6. loved the World. And we're gonna we're gonna go into

  7. a verse that all of us here. No, I think

  8. everybody here knows this verse lat Okay, I think I

  9. hope lah. And if you don't know, hopefully today you

  10. will know because it's the verse John Tree sixteen. Uh.

  11. And we're not talking about stone called Austin Tree sixteen.

  12. For those of you who knows. Only Jason and me

  13. watch WWE last time. Recently I stumbled upon Japanese wrestling.

  14. Very interesting, Yeah, very interesting? When am not talking about

  15. that anyway?

  16. So John three sixteen, and I think it's on the screen. Yeah.

  17. And I've requested XTV to not show scripture anymore so

  18. that all of you will bring you a Bible to church.

  19. So last week, right, let me segue a little bit.

  20. So last week I was the XBU and I had

  21. a rantler, not really a randtler, and I want to

  22. share it with my my family here. You know, the

  23. job is every time I apprecied that I got a

  24. training gym reference. So you know, you know when you

  25. come to church, right, You come to church, Okay, You

  26. come to church for something, correct, not it's not how

  27. when you go to McDonald's.

  28. You don't EXPECTKFC when you have McDonald's. Correct.

  29. You don't go to McDonald's to order fried chicken most

  30. of the time.

  31. Okay, I say.

  32. You are you are treading you know, ready dangerous ground

  33. because mcdon's chicken quite good. Anyway, let's not go there.

  34. You go to a place to receive something.

  35. Correct.

  36. You go to school to get educated, right, You go

  37. to work to work and get money.

  38. Okay. You come to church for what.

  39. You come to church to grow your faith Corona corona correct? Right,

  40. So only in church. And I hope that you will

  41. not get offended by this, because if you are, then

  42. you you I think you you you kind of need

  43. to manage shown expectations. You come to church, you grow

  44. your faith. Correct, You didn't just come to church. You

  45. feel good to listen to some jokes. You want to

  46. go listen joke, go and listen to standard comedian outside.

  47. Correct? You want to feel good because the nice when the.

  48. Word of God speaks to our hearts, our hearts are

  49. cut because we grow in our faith.

  50. Correct.

  51. It's like how and this is where the gym references come.

  52. You go to the gym to exercise. Correct, So you

  53. don't go to the gym and tell the coach what

  54. you should do.

  55. That day.

  56. Let me tell you a joke that day so funny

  57. the day. See see whether you'll get this not. So

  58. that day we were you know, getting ready and were

  59. warming up, and I was ready doing my set. Ready Friday,

  60. we're doing arms, okay, Danny, I'm waiting for you to

  61. join us. Friday, we're doing arms okay. Normally Friday we

  62. do arms and chess.

  63. Right.

  64. He's so shocked because the time he said he was

  65. joined for gym, but then until now heaven come here

  66. pressure him a little bit. So you're doing arm saying

  67. chess okay for those who you understand what I'm saying,

  68. it's okay. Can also I understand Jim one right. Hopefully

  69. in the next five months you'll see me with anyway. Uh,

  70. And we warm my bla wan my blight, so I

  71. warm up right there. We want my arms right. And

  72. then one of my one of the first day in

  73. the gym, LA he was doing this. Let me let

  74. me hold this as another bar. But he was doing this, okay,

  75. he was doing this, dumb bell laddie dumbea imagina.

  76. He was doing this.

  77. He was doing that, and I asked him, you must

  78. understand that I've been to the gym eight months, said okay,

  79. I must ask I asked him. I said, bro, what

  80. are you doing Nowhikoela Because he realized he'll maybe he's

  81. doing something funny. He keep doing you know, look cool, right, yeah, yeah, yeah,

  82. and asking what you're doing stretching? No, no, he said,

  83. doing stretching. I'm doing my warm ups. I'm doing my

  84. warm ups. How many of you here go to Jimman

  85. all they're not all scaredy, you know, Nick?

  86. Nick? Do we do warm ups like that? No? Right?

  87. What are you warming up? Anyway? You get it?

  88. You get you don't get it, you don't get It's

  89. fine you warming up the dumb bell. You want to

  90. warm up your muscles. You have to use your muscle.

  91. This is a problem warm up. This one is stretching.

  92. You don't need dumb bell. You're doing stretching. Even this

  93. is so it's not real stretching, you know. So the

  94. person looking cool there and I'm like, bro, what are

  95. you doing? So I tell you if you come to

  96. a gym, if you do the wrong thing, you will

  97. know it. Okay, it's quite funny anyway. My point is

  98. when you come to church, you come to grow your faith.

  99. So when you hear something you don't like, don't be offended.

  100. You need to receive it. Can I encourage you and

  101. swingin to familiar That's why it can be a bit

  102. more direct, although I know every time I appreci read direct.

  103. So when you come to church, you're growing a faith, correct,

  104. So don't be angry when the pastor of the church

  105. asks you to bring your Bible to church. Why are

  106. you offended? Why are you're not listening. It's like you

  107. go to the gym, you want to get exercise, you

  108. want to grow. Ask you to finish the last rep Jason,

  109. and you say, no, way, I've done my part. I

  110. lifted one dumb bell ready. Are you going to really

  111. grow in your faith? Then probably not. That's why when

  112. you go out there and you suffer the troubles of

  113. the world, you ask God God, Why why am I

  114. going through this?

  115. When you come here receive? Can I notot?

  116. Can I encourage you? So this is why I want

  117. to at least teach XBJ two things. Not gonna teach

  118. you too many things today. I will just share two

  119. things and then I'll go into the world. Okay, First thing,

  120. bring your Bible to church? Can I not bring your

  121. Bible to church?

  122. Oh by? Go? No bye?

  123. B I got a phone, Go and buy one, Go

  124. and buy a Bible. Okay, bring it to church?

  125. Oh bye?

  126. Very math fun. Yes, it's not easy to do certain things.

  127. Going to the gym is very math fun or so,

  128. but I do it anyway. There are certain things in

  129. your life that are very math fun. For those who

  130. don't understand why it's math fun, let me explain a

  131. little bit.

  132. It's very inconvenient, but you still do it anyway. Correct.

  133. There are certain things you do in your life that

  134. is inconvenient, but you still do it anyway because you

  135. know it's good for you. So let me tell you

  136. what's good for you. Bring your Bible church is good

  137. for you. You don't have bible?

  138. Get one. One second thing I will teach you and

  139. receiving from your pastor.

  140. Come early. Huh you mean come at seven am? No,

  141. come in time for service. Our service starts at nine thirty. Friends,

  142. come at nine thirty. Oh but then sorry, nine fifteen

  143. is pre service.

  144. Prayer. Give them chance out of the Jason, give them chance. Okay.

  145. I want to trust them. I want to trust all

  146. of you that you will come on time. No Malaysian time.

  147. Why come on time. It is good for your soul

  148. because of worship, not because of anything else.

  149. That.

  150. We're not here to show people that were model Christian.

  151. Can I can? I be honest with you. I'm not

  152. here to so that, oh oh us here be model Christian.

  153. That's not the goal. The goal is so that you

  154. grow in your faith, and you, unfortunately have to do inconvenient. Honestly,

  155. waking up on a Sunday morning is inconvenient. I really

  156. felt like sleeping in today yesterday at the food of

  157. work friends, and it's very funny because we're all, you know,

  158. a ya, we had a VA production and we're all

  159. texting each other. Oh, have a good wrestler, and give

  160. myself what rest. I go back home after VA. I

  161. have to prepare message. My wife knows right. I have

  162. to take out my kids, and then this morning I

  163. have to wake up and come to church. Why am

  164. I doing all these things? Friends?

  165. It is good for your soul.

  166. I was really blessed to worship this morning, West team,

  167. thank you so much.

  168. I was really blessed to worship.

  169. If you are going through a tough time, you need

  170. worship in your life because it helps you to focus

  171. on God.

  172. It helps you to get your perspective right.

  173. And then don't wonder why your faith is all growing

  174. when you don't do inconvenient things. And again, don't get

  175. me wrong, I'm not here to make sure we have

  176. a model church. No church is perfect, but all of

  177. us need to have certain things in our lives that

  178. we will not come promise no matter what. Will there

  179. be days where you're late, yes, Will there be late

  180. days where things happen, yes, And it's okay. Nobody's gonna

  181. look at your funny. And if anybody looks like you funny,

  182. let me know I will deal with them because it's

  183. not about early or late, but it's about setting certain

  184. things in our lives that will help us to grow

  185. in our faith. Amen, and guys, can I be honest?

  186. You only hear this here. You will never hear this

  187. anywhere else. Nobody else is gonna tell you this by

  188. your pastor. Because your pastor wants you to grow in

  189. your faith. Why because when you grow in your faith

  190. and you know who God is, when you go out there,

  191. you know how to say, I know my God, I

  192. know who I am as a child of God, and

  193. I know how to deal with this situation. You guys, Okay, okay, ken, come,

  194. let's go to the good stuff.

  195. John three sixteen. What does he say? Ah? John Tree sixteen,

  196. can you tell memory reside for God of the world,

  197. that he or your your halfway? Halfway? Okay, Let's let's

  198. try it again for good that he that will have amen,

  199. God blessed the ring of the word. You guys, catch that?

  200. You guys, catch that. You know if you think.

  201. About it, and again when missionspan, if you think about it,

  202. only Christians and churches go out for missions.

  203. Do you know that? Do you realize that last week

  204. I think it was last week? Was it last week?

  205. Just or two weeks ago?

  206. My homes we were assigned along with DoD Jason and

  207. we went to ams Agape Mission School right and we

  208. were there and we were just doing a kids ministry

  209. with the children that you know, they are basically refugee kids,

  210. you know, in that vicinity they ran away from Myanmar,

  211. you know, because they were Cheain refugees because again it's

  212. walter On country. And they were there right, and we

  213. were just doing things with them. And I talked to

  214. myself as I was there, who would give up their

  215. Saturday to go and do this? And again we're not

  216. doing anything, you know, we are just doing worship song

  217. and yeah, last week they went right. I think Daniel

  218. was there yesterday and I saw Joe was there.

  219. Who do this? And I realized, only Christians will do

  220. this kind of thing.

  221. Well, of course you can argue with me. Oh, but

  222. then all the other religion all they do. No, no, guys,

  223. it's not charity. Well now we're not doing charity work. No,

  224. we're not doing charity. Well we're going in mess. No,

  225. it's not charity working on right, It's definitely not charity.

  226. Only Christians and churches gore for missions. We go to mission,

  227. trip to shadow Word and ship. I know another homes

  228. is out right. I think calling your homes right was

  229. your homes right? Passa met the all day they are

  230. in the RDP, you know, and I think Kelvin, Amanda

  231. and Thomas is going, Thomas is there, you know, whole

  232. family going. You know, when we do things at this

  233. we are not doing charity. But what are we doing?

  234. We are sharing a way of life. We're actually sharing

  235. life with these people. Right, But why have you thought

  236. about it?

  237. Why? Missions?

  238. We're encouraging you guys to go from Missions conference to

  239. listen to Passa Palan who has dedicated seven years of

  240. his life with a wife.

  241. Hey, they can't.

  242. They've retired now, they've retired ministry and they've done so

  243. much and they could just easily retime ministry and spend

  244. time with their family member.

  245. And that's it. Why why sacrifice so much?

  246. And can I share with you that Passa Palan and

  247. the wife they are not philanthropies. They're not I mean

  248. they're rich in God's isla, but they're not like this. No, No,

  249. you sacrifice so much?

  250. Why do it? Friends? Why?

  251. Who do such things? Have you thought about it before?

  252. Have you wondered to yourself as a believer? Why just

  253. keep asking us to go for missions? And then later

  254. on you go and there you realize I know why?

  255. Now I have been blessed. Let's go back to John

  256. three sixteen. Okay, I guys, okay, For God so love

  257. the world that he sent his only begotten son, only

  258. one son, that whoever who believes in him shall not.

  259. Perish but have everlasting life.

  260. So the first question I have for us is why

  261. did God send Jesus?

  262. Can anybody answer that? Why did God send Jesus? Why?

  263. I hear a lord whispers? Today we're going to do

  264. a reflection.

  265. Okay, you want to call your namer, Come on, someone

  266. shout Why did God send Jesus.

  267. To save us? To die for us? Okay?

  268. Kind of correct, to reconcile us with him? Okay, what

  269. was God's motivation? Have I thought about it for.

  270. Right?

  271. What is the purpose behind it? The reason behind it?

  272. Have he thought about it for oh? So that we

  273. can you know, we don't have to die? Ray noble right,

  274. God's ray noble right, so that we don't have to die,

  275. so that he can reconcile. It's all about him, right,

  276. You're you're following me all you're confused. It's like, oh, no,

  277. he's going to give us a punchline, ha ha. Let

  278. me give you, Let me give you another thought. And

  279. I use my role as a father. Why do I

  280. send my kids to school? Why do I teach my

  281. sons to pick up after themselves at home? Every time

  282. they change in the morning their school uniform, they will

  283. leave their launder and the floor.

  284. Right? Why do I do that? Why do I feed them? Oh?

  285. Passe ilven because if you don't, then they will be

  286. some time because they don't go to school, right, guy

  287. in a Bahasa directanstation is the trash of society?

  288. Oh?

  289. English sounds over? Oh yeah, so that they they will

  290. be useful to society.

  291. Right?

  292. Why why do I Why do I ask them pick

  293. out themselves?

  294. Oh? So that I can have a good clean house?

  295. Right, Cory, not correct? Correct clean house? Why do I

  296. feed them? It's not a bit harder, of course, if

  297. not that I get jailed? Is that my motivation? I

  298. feed them so that I won't get jail by the cops,

  299. like you know, irresponsible? Have you ever thought about it? Why, guys,

  300. it's the title of the message for God so loved

  301. the world. He did it because he loved us. Why

  302. do I do all the stuff for my kids? It's

  303. just because I love them, you know, there's not the

  304. reason there is no other reason. Is it because my

  305. house is dirty?

  306. No? Because I love them.

  307. Because if I don't teach them to pick up after themselves,

  308. they're gonna have a difficult time next time when they

  309. stay with other housemaids and are slops when they My

  310. mum always tell me this.

  311. You know, I teach you to.

  312. Do houseworld, so the next time your wife will benefit.

  313. And I realize I do more housework.

  314. At home because my wife's busyla. Don we got anything else? Now,

  315. I'm all free?

  316. When Okay, he loved us for God so loved the world.

  317. There's no other reason, our friends, there's no other reason.

  318. It's just because he loved us.

  319. Do you know why? There's not the reason.

  320. Because even if you don't accept him, he still love you.

  321. Why is that important? No matter what my kids do,

  322. I will still love them and reach out to them,

  323. even if they continuously don't pick up after themselves, Even

  324. if they continuously.

  325. Misbehave, I will still love my kids. Do you know that.

  326. It is nonconditional? Conditional is you don't pick up yourself

  327. after a while? Strike one, strike too strict tree.

  328. That's it. I'm not gonna ask you anymore. That's it.

  329. I don't care. Do you know that God's not like that?

  330. Do you know that how many times you strike out,

  331. he still loves you? Do you no matter how how

  332. much you misbehave. Doesn't matter how much you misbehave in

  333. your life, he will still accept you.

  334. It's unconditional.

  335. Why do I say going to missions is not charity,

  336. because any other religion out there is conditional. You do

  337. things so that you be good. It's a married system.

  338. Ours is not a married system.

  339. You know.

  340. It's unmerited favor. It's unmerited love. The love of a

  341. parent and their child is unmerited love.

  342. You know. Do you know that? Parents? You know what

  343. I'm talking about.

  344. No matter how bad your kids are, you will still

  345. do whatever you can for them. That's why sometimes we

  346. also put in a difficulty situation because the kids still

  347. misbehave and we still want to love them, and then

  348. we spoil them, right, because we love them, so we

  349. spoil them. It's very difficult to we hold things. But

  350. even if we hold things, we still love them. Corona,

  351. are you guys saiding something? So why did God send Jesus?

  352. Why did he give us a plan? A redemption plan?

  353. Because he loved us? No other reason. Oh, he wants

  354. a kingdom.

  355. Yeah in a way. Oh he wants you know, so

  356. they all will be safe because he loved us. That's

  357. his motivation. No other reason. What is our motivation? Friends?

  358. Think about it? What's our motive when we come to church? Oh,

  359. I'm here because my parents forced me to come. Actually

  360. I don't want to come on. Yeah, that's true. I

  361. remember when I was younger, there was my motivation. What's

  362. our motivation? Let me go, let me go a bit wider.

  363. What's our motivation when we live this life? You know,

  364. God offers us a redemption plan for our life. You know,

  365. he didn't offer us religion. You know that Jesus is

  366. not a religion. He is a way of life. I

  367. am the Truth, the Way, and the life. They got

  368. that right, The Way, the Truth and the life. Okay way,

  369. first way, truth than life.

  370. He is. He offered us a way to live. Right.

  371. That's why Christians are so different, because we are not

  372. just about following a value. No is our lifestyle that changes.

  373. It is the transformation of our mind. All these our scripture,

  374. our friends, So when we live this life, what is

  375. our division?

  376. Think about it. Some people are motivated. My money.

  377. Some people are motivated by our past experiences. Some people

  378. are motivated by relationships.

  379. Love.

  380. It's not wronger friends, can I share a few? This

  381. is not not wrong. You know, once you become a parent,

  382. you automatically motivated by your children's welfare. I still remember

  383. when I was, when I was, and again I think

  384. women they get it more earlier than us because they

  385. have to carry the baby for nine months. And guys

  386. are like, yo, you know, two weeks before my first

  387. son come up, I'm still like pondering to myself, this

  388. is guys, you will feeling this is one of life's

  389. difficult questions. Two weeks before, two weeks before, two weeks

  390. before is going to come out?

  391. Should I buy the PS five?

  392. Because after I, after I have a kid that I

  393. know I won't have time ready to play.

  394. You know, I'm still.

  395. Pondering about, you know, life's questions, you know, and then

  396. the moment my child come up.

  397. Any desire for Peers five until today? No more? No more?

  398. Of course, my wife will argue and say, but we

  399. got ant switch, but still not Peers five? What is

  400. our motivation when we serve God's house friends? What is

  401. our motivation? I will go a bit further and tell

  402. you that whatever motivation that you have anyway, it's not love,

  403. it will not last. I'll go deeper in it later,

  404. and God knows that's why God's motivation is love. If

  405. it's a conditional motivation, trust me, it won't last. That

  406. means anything we do, even in the context of church ministry, right,

  407. if it is not guided by this one motivation, which

  408. is love, or that's the punchline, it won't last. If

  409. it's motivated by your own pride, you won't last. And

  410. I'm saying it won't last. Not because, oh, because you're

  411. prideful and you're sinning, the Lord will pull you down.

  412. No, no, no, that's not why I mean.

  413. I mean not it won't last because and we'll read

  414. later why you won't last. I'll tell explain to you

  415. why if it's not love, you won't last. Okay, later

  416. that we're going to scripture. But I'll make this statement now.

  417. If you're motivated by a lot of things, I can

  418. tell you it will not last when you're doing certain things.

  419. But if you're motivated by love, it will last quite long.

  420. No matter how things, how bad things get, you will

  421. still last.

  422. Your motivation you guys. Okay, let's go deeper.

  423. This is why I believe God gave us this redemption

  424. plan because of love and just that. Let me share

  425. a bit about myself. What is my motivation Elvin King's motivation? Well,

  426. I can tell you the only reason why one of

  427. the few reasons why I do what I do today

  428. when I say I do what I do today, which

  429. is I would use well.

  430. At least church Lar as an example. Okay, what motivates me? Right?

  431. Why am I still in full time ministry?

  432. Why do I constantly challenge myself to be a better dad, bear,

  433. the husband?

  434. Okay?

  435. Why do I constantly do that? I constantly do that.

  436. Recently my wife go through a very difficult situation in work.

  437. I try my best to be best husband. Ever, what

  438. do I do every day? I wash clothes at home

  439. so that when she come back home, she don't have

  440. to worry about what cloth to wear right morning. Certain mornings,

  441. I make sure I cook for her, so prepare some

  442. food lat so that when she goes to you, because

  443. you'll forget even so I do that? Is it because

  444. I want brownie points? Partially? But because I love my

  445. wife and I want to do my best. Why Because

  446. I want to be obedient to what the law has

  447. given to me. What they got to do for me

  448. in my life, Well got you a lot of things

  449. for me in my life. That is one of my

  450. other motivations. Because God loved being, and because God loved me,

  451. I am living a life that is so blessed to

  452. their friends. Not because I got a lot of stuff,

  453. you know, Not because I got cars and house.

  454. No, No, because I have peace. I am so at peace. Man.

  455. If I tell you the drama they have to experience

  456. when I was a young person, you'll be very stressed up.

  457. I remember I used to joke when I look at

  458. some Chinese drama, or the mother here, the father and

  459. the father, you know, do this all this, I'm like,

  460. I look at it. I'm like, oh, I don't need

  461. Chinese drama. Across my house at home every day is

  462. Chinese trama. I live under trauma for.

  463. Many many years. It was like that.

  464. And then the time where I suddenly came out and

  465. was living on my own in Uni, I sundly had

  466. this revelation. You mean life can be peaceful. You mean

  467. life can be peaceful? You mean I do have to

  468. listen to people shower at home every day.

  469. Wow.

  470. I've read about this peace that God has given, but

  471. I've never experienced it. And now with my own household. Wow, well,

  472. once in a while the boys speaker and all, but

  473. thank God, that's less or to the point, no shouting

  474. at home. Ready, I'm quite both to say that right

  475. after married ten years because my wife, we say, you

  476. can look at her and see what's a rerection.

  477. What God did for me? Where has God led me?

  478. He's let me here?

  479. Am I using this example? I just want to give

  480. something relatable. I hope he's relatable to you lot. God

  481. has sent me here. Some of you here, you're my friends.

  482. You know me and we've served together in acts. You

  483. know that I'm not here because of my talents, because

  484. I'm the least charismatic person around. Honestly, they are more

  485. famous charismatic people in church that can that should be pastor.

  486. I'm not.

  487. In fact, a lot of people that used to work

  488. with me in XTV don't like my face on because

  489. when I'm in workmore, I'm not nice. We're honest, as

  490. I know because she saw before in office. What motivates me? Obedience,

  491. faithfulness and maturity in my faith. Friends, I am now

  492. forty two years old. Okay, some of you will say,

  493. I see baby maybe, And I've come to want to

  494. be consistent in my life.

  495. I just want to be consistent.

  496. I don't need to look for the next big thing.

  497. I don't need to look for I just want to

  498. be consistent because I recognize that when you're consistent, you

  499. build things that last. When you're consistent, when you are faithful,

  500. when you are obedient to who God. And I want

  501. mature in my faith because maturity will bring you far. Immaturity,

  502. we're getting in trouble. Foolishness will getting in trouble, but

  503. maturity will bring you far.

  504. Imen.

  505. A lot of people get in trouble because of not

  506. because of anything else don't, but because of their own immaturity.

  507. They believe in things they shouldn't believe in. They do

  508. things that is foolish. So I tell myself, I'd never

  509. want to do that. I want to grow immaturity. And

  510. this is where I will share with you a little

  511. bit about why I believe that love and a motivation

  512. by love will last. Let's all turn to First Corinthians

  513. the teen. Okay, and if you don't have bible to turn.

  514. Don't worry. You can press press button, press your phone.

  515. Are guys, okay? First, qureanteans the teen. This is what

  516. motivates me. When I was a child, I spoke as

  517. a child. I understand as a child, I thought as

  518. a child. But when I became a man, I put

  519. away childish things. Friends, I'll share this other point of view.

  520. Why is maturity important in our lives? Maturity as a

  521. person and spiritual maturity, because when you grow and mature,

  522. it is not just about information. I think previously, I

  523. think the last time I share you, I talked about wisdom.

  524. Right.

  525. A person that is whise, I believe it is a

  526. person that is mature. You know, a person that knows

  527. how to handle situations. A mature person maturing in your

  528. faithor is so? Mature means come to fruition, come to growth. Right,

  529. Immature I means still small boy, it's still small girl.

  530. Still impulsive. Let's use that term, very impulsive, do whatever

  531. they want? Right, That's what kids are, okay, Right, and

  532. as long as you and again I won't go into

  533. the semantics of it, Yes, some adults are immature as well.

  534. Okay, because not just about age.

  535. It's about whether or not you have self control, right,

  536. A mature person kept self control is about whether or

  537. not you know how to do the hard things in life,

  538. not just oh, do whatever you want or I don't

  539. feel It's not just about feelings, friends, Maturity is not

  540. about feelings. A lot of times me and my wife

  541. don't feel like we want to be parents. We joke

  542. about it lot. Okay, but maturity tells us that we

  543. will still do the hard things in life because we're mature.

  544. We know that we know what is at stake.

  545. Amen.

  546. If I just go according to emotions, then there are

  547. a lot of things that I won't do. Ready, I

  548. wouldn't even be standing here. First Corinthians and Friends and

  549. uther statement, the older you grow, the more you understand

  550. what is important in life.

  551. Amen, the older you grow. Let me go to First

  552. Corintians thirteen.

  553. Okay, so it's say, say, when I was a child,

  554. I spoken as a child, I understood as a child,

  555. I thought as a child. But when I became a man,

  556. I put away childish things. For now we see in

  557. the mirror diemly, but then face to face. Now I

  558. know in part, but then I shall know, just as

  559. I also am known. What basically the scripture says is,

  560. you know. One of the reasons why maybe when people

  561. are im choice because they don't know enough. They don't

  562. know enough, they're not experienced enough, they're not going through

  563. life enough. They're not we use systems suffered enough. People

  564. who suffer understand people who don't suffer, small small thing

  565. orso you are often del while I did my life

  566. so horrible, and then you go and talk to someone

  567. who last l's when we're ms. We're talking to some

  568. some why and we are doing prayer with them. One

  569. of the boys told me, please pray for my grandmother.

  570. She's all the way in Indonesia. She's not doing well.

  571. Please pray that should be well. And this is desire.

  572. Please please pray that should be well enough that I

  573. will be able to travel back to see her face

  574. to face and not just FaceTime her. He's fifteen, he's

  575. been in Malaysia for fourteen years. They don't have money

  576. to fly back to Indonesia to see his grandmother for

  577. the last time. Ilvian my nextly show cancer ready, I'm

  578. using red trivial things. Ah, but think to yourself, there

  579. are a lot of things that people experience that are

  580. far worth, more worse than us. But we do not

  581. appreciate because we don't understand, because we know, in part

  582. because we think that our problem is the hardest problem

  583. on this down the face of this earth.

  584. That's the problem.

  585. Friends, go missions, not so that you can see people

  586. worse off than you. Go missions, then you'll appreciate your

  587. life a little bit better. Amen, so that you can

  588. be encouragement to people who are hurting more than you.

  589. Amen. We know in.

  590. Part and verse thirteen says, and now abide in faith, hope,

  591. and love this tree. But the greatest of this is love.

  592. I'll ask you a question what are we abiding by?

  593. First question is, of course, what are we motivated? Second question,

  594. what are we abiding by? Let me share with you

  595. what I believe that love. If you have love as

  596. a motivation, you will last long. Means your effort will

  597. last longer. You won't give up so fast. Even whatever

  598. you bill will last long. I read Quarrianthian's thirteen. Okay,

  599. let's read it in this context. Let's not really in

  600. the context of wedding, but let's readly in context of

  601. love motivated by love, doing ministry motivated by love in

  602. life itself?

  603. What motivates God? Love?

  604. Do I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,

  605. but have not love? I have been come sounding brass

  606. or a clanging symbol. And do I have the gift

  607. of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge? And dough,

  608. I have all faith so that I could remove mountains.

  609. But I have not love.

  610. I am nothing.

  611. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the

  612. poor and dough, I give my body to be burned,

  613. but I have not love. It profits me nothing. Don't

  614. you see the actions of the author about generosity, about

  615. you know, doing different things? But he says, if I

  616. have no love, I'm nothing. And though I bestow all

  617. my goods to feed the poor, and do I give

  618. my body to be burned, I'm not love. It profits

  619. me nothing. And this is why I believe motivation by

  620. love last long, because love suffers long and is kind.

  621. Love does not envy. Love does not parade itself. It

  622. is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not

  623. seek its own It's not provoked things know, Evil does

  624. not rejoice in inniquity. Daniel always make noise at my life.

  625. Now he suffered badan muka. If I love Daniel, that

  626. won't happen. Even if Daniel gives me a hard time,

  627. I will still love him. Bears all things, believes, all things, hopes,

  628. all things and deals. A you know not all things mean?

  629. All things mean good and bad? No, good and bad. No,

  630. not just good on you, no good and bad. No,

  631. how many of you here who are in love? By

  632. your love is conditional? And then the boy will say

  633. to the girl, Oh, if you don't have sex with me,

  634. you don't love me.

  635. Girls, that is conditional love. Watch out.

  636. Oh if you didn't buy that nice handbag for me,

  637. you don't love me. My wife said rotten. And I

  638. love these friends. Love never fails. But whether they are prophecies,

  639. they will fail. Whether they are tongs they will seize.

  640. Whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. What is

  641. he trying to say? Hey, talking all about ministry stuff guys, prophecy, war, tongues, war, knowledge, war,

  642. It will all vanish away. For we know in part,

  643. and we prophesy in part. But when that which is

  644. perfect has come, then that which is in part will

  645. be done away. Love, friends, love the Bible encourage us

  646. to abide in faithful and love. But the greatest of

  647. it all is love. If we are motivated by love,

  648. it will last the other reason. Amen, And you know

  649. and I'll share another point you even as I'm going

  650. through this, because we are motivated by different things?

  651. Right? Why do we do things that we do even

  652. in church?

  653. Can I be honest if I think I'm if I'm

  654. motivated by other things like let's say, selfish, ambition and

  655. all these things, right, I won't continue doing xp Jaila.

  656. I won't continue doing church because it's a thankless, difficult,

  657. suffering job. One, Okay, people have the perception of our

  658. ministry is great.

  659. You know, you suffer more than be happy.

  660. You know the amount people that have come up to

  661. me and told me, you know, Passel, I'm not fed

  662. in this church.

  663. I need to go to a church that can. That's

  664. better word. Who shares the word la for less standing here? La? Oh?

  665. I don't feel a connected community in this church. Hey, hello,

  666. who say hello to you every morning? Who going macam

  667. with you? And I cannot before? No, last time I

  668. think I've shared before where I took care of a

  669. young person four years person got some like medical condition.

  670. There was one drama I have my shit is roll right,

  671. one drama scene, you know, like sign Chinese drama. After

  672. after taking the discapation, next level had to say a

  673. few things that make the person a bit hurt. Walk halfway,

  674. no big house, walk halfway son in the middle of

  675. the road at eleven pm.

  676. I could easily just drive off and call.

  677. The mom love my god, say love your neighbor, right,

  678. walk out the car, pack the car, go there, pick

  679. the person up, go put under the thing. Who have

  680. to explain to the mother me? You know, I think

  681. he stressed out so he fainted outside. Put him there,

  682. drive back, drive home. One year later, Elvin, you've done

  683. nothing for me. Friends, If I'm not motivated by love,

  684. I won't still do ministry because he's a thankless job, thankless.

  685. So what are we motivated by this morning?

  686. Again?

  687. Please don't get me wrong. The law has blessed me much. Okay,

  688. So you don't have to be like you know after this?

  689. Oh no, actually you know what if you want to

  690. love me to be more, I don't as well? So

  691. love friends, love? What's the second point? As I'm sharing

  692. this about forgot so love the world? This something I

  693. think I need to help us to understand when you

  694. look at God? Okay, do we look at God as

  695. a God as far away or a God as near?

  696. Okay? We got to know that God is near right,

  697. and you know that's one thing. Let me let me

  698. read James one was too. This is another point. Okay,

  699. how much time I have her? Sorry? I okay?

  700. Five minutes? Okay, ten minutes. Okay, let me try and

  701. rush this. I haven't finished the first pace yet, are

  702. you guys?

  703. Okay?

  704. Are guys getting something? So James Chapter one, verse two,

  705. what does they say? Let's read that and let's just

  706. get into the next point. K So it says, here,

  707. my brethren, count of our joy when you fall into

  708. vest trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patients.

  709. But let patients have His perfect work, that you may

  710. be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you

  711. lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to

  712. all liberally and without reproach, and be given to him.

  713. But let him ask in faith with no doubting. For

  714. he who dubs this like a wave of the seed,

  715. driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that

  716. man supposed that he will receive anything from the Lord.

  717. He is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways.

  718. Can I point our want to share if you is

  719. this point about taking personal responsibility? Okay, taking personal responsibility.

  720. I just spoke about love. Why does God do certain

  721. things in our life? Because he loved us, not a reason?

  722. And because he loved us, you were last long because

  723. it's long suffering. It never fails. You heard write a scripture.

  724. What he says, isn't that love?

  725. It is?

  726. It's unconditional the moment as a conditioner, it's not love Anymorelready,

  727. it is not love ready when there's a condition, because

  728. love has no conditions. When someone loves you, they really

  729. love you. Right, That's why we can we can in

  730. when we get married. Now we can use first contingence

  731. the thing. That's why when we get married we can

  732. say in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer,

  733. till death do us part. Those are the conditions. Hello,

  734. how many of you are married? And today we have

  735. a generation where I don't feel love divorce, but yet

  736. you can still vow.

  737. Before God with a scripture.

  738. Friends, We've got to be very careful with the lies

  739. that the devil teaches. Right, So taking personal responsibility is

  740. very important, right because the testing of our faith produces

  741. patience and maturity, right and at it is something I realize.

  742. People blame God for a lot of things, right, We

  743. blame God but a lot of things. And I think

  744. I know why because when we are weak and helpless,

  745. like if I have to use my kids for example, Right,

  746. when we are weak and we are helpless, we hide

  747. behind something that is big, right, because we are not God.

  748. That's true, we are not God. He's all powerful. Right.

  749. It's like me blaming my circumstances on my parents. And

  750. I have a point.

  751. Do you know that why was I not born in

  752. the rich man's family. I've got this story where I

  753. found out. Later on, I told my wife a buddy,

  754. we joke about it now, Joe, she just had to

  755. listen to my stories. You know where I found out

  756. because my dad is he's one of fourteen siblings Chinese family,

  757. one wife, multiple wife are okay, so uh and so

  758. so when when.

  759. You have such a family and.

  760. Most of the time, most of the time is because

  761. the family is rich. And I found out my granddad Okay,

  762. he passed on early right to don't know what happened.

  763. I've never met him. Lakay uh. He he used to be.

  764. He came all the way from China or come from

  765. China on and then he started a very successful biscuit business,

  766. very successful. And I can see the annoying thing concerning

  767. full loah because every time my father's side family member

  768. get getting full business or they do very well on okay,

  769. every time they do it, they do very well on okay,

  770. but then different things happen. Then they don't do well

  771. after they lock you. I won't go into that, but

  772. bad habits. But but that's what happened, you know. And

  773. and my granddad unfortunately passed away when he was when

  774. he was there, and then of course he has he

  775. passed on the business to the first and second son.

  776. And and this is where the not the bad hobbies come.

  777. They gambled the business of Wela quite bad. And that's

  778. how gambling in my family is like no, no, don't

  779. do it, okay, so don't get involved in that, right,

  780. I mean, we shouldn't like it's Christians care. But but

  781. then friends, I could easily just blame my circumstance.

  782. No, why I not, Why did they have to gamble

  783. the money away.

  784. Why why am I not born in just why I'm

  785. not born in the Richmond family? I own like a

  786. hupsing biscuit equivalent? Now, no, why, oh man, blame, blame, blame, blame?

  787. Why am I born a Chinese? Why am I born

  788. in leisure? You know, can blame all these things that

  789. we have no control? And you got a point. You

  790. have no control, of course, easier to blame. But can

  791. I challenge your thought? Yes, Elvin King may be born

  792. in a place of lack, but that doesn't mean that

  793. Elvin King needs to continue to live in that way.

  794. Doesn't make sense to you? What will help me taking

  795. personal responsibility of my situation? Because as much as there

  796. are things that we have no control over, there are

  797. many things in our lives that we have control over.

  798. And that's also ourself. There are many things in life

  799. that we can trust God to come true to us.

  800. Do you know what I think we should start doing? Friends,

  801. I think maybe we should start crediting God for the

  802. things that are good in our lives. Mindset shift. Psalms

  803. one hundred, verse four to five says, enter into his

  804. gates with thanksgiving, and into his cause with praise, Be

  805. thankful to him and bless his name. For the Lord

  806. is good, his mercy is everlasting, and his truth and

  807. der's all generations. Try I be thankful for my life

  808. still sucks?

  809. Well?

  810. I think the first thing you can be thankful for

  811. is His redemption plan for us? Do you know true

  812. God's redemption plan? There is a way out of your troubles?

  813. Do you know that? You know?

  814. We focus more on the travel, but we never think

  815. about the way out. We focus more on the problems

  816. Why God put me here? We never think about the

  817. way that He has prepared for us. Do you know

  818. that in the Bible there are many promises that we

  819. can claim as believers And the only reason why we

  820. can praise such prayers and claim such prayers is because

  821. of God's redemption plan over our life. Do you know

  822. that if you've got no redemption planner, who you're gonna

  823. pray to? What is the way out of sickness?

  824. Have you thought about it? Before?

  825. We complain about the problems. No, but we don't think

  826. about the solutions His way, truth and life. That is

  827. something to give thanks for.

  828. There is a way.

  829. Yes, the world is difficult, Yes it is difficult, but

  830. if we take personal responsibility of our faith and our life,

  831. then we know that there's a better way, Corental. We

  832. hear testimonies, I mean, I don't know you can, Okay,

  833. I won't go into detail, but Daniel awesome testimony about

  834. how the Lord redeemed him, not just in his own faith,

  835. but in his life as well. Go and talk to him,

  836. ask him what's his background. Sometimes when I talk to

  837. young as always say please talk to you, you know,

  838. brother Thaniel, Uncle Daniel and no uncle, Okay, let him

  839. teach you a thing or two about following God because

  840. you hear his testimony and be like wow, like that

  841. or so you can now you seem like wow, I know,

  842. big time nice iPhone fifteen. Sorry, I just had to

  843. say that, friends, and I'm ending am ending radio.

  844. Okay.

  845. So I talked about love for God so loved the world,

  846. and I talk about you right, talk about us taking responsibility,

  847. us also being multivated by love.

  848. Right, Friends, I hope this nails the last nail to

  849. the coffin. But no coffin here, okay, but nails the

  850. last nail to my point.

  851. God's redemption plan for us is what we are trying

  852. to share with others who don't know you. Imagine our

  853. friends who don't know God, who are going through difficult times,

  854. who are suffering with depression with no way, I'll no peace,

  855. I don't know where to go, and you know the

  856. solutions they go.

  857. To, it's not going to help them.

  858. Why because you call upon the lot and the lot

  859. has helped you. But you know your friends they can

  860. call upon whatever, They're still going to suffer. They still

  861. don't ever answer. I end with this John chapter three, Verst.

  862. One to eighteen, and you apologize for taking a bit too,

  863. because this is what Jesus told Nicodemus. It's actually in

  864. the same scripture. I know we like to read, you know,

  865. John three sixteen, but if we read the whole of

  866. John chapter three, we will understand the context of John

  867. three sixteen. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodmus,

  868. a ruler of the Jews. You're talking about a person

  869. who's religious. Try to do everything right, okay. This man

  870. came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi,

  871. we know that you are a teacher, come from God.

  872. For no one can do these scigns that you do

  873. unless God is with them. See in his group, our friends,

  874. or his group or people. Right, everybody is working Jesus

  875. because Jesus was basically turning things upside down in the

  876. religious community right because he didn't just speak. There were

  877. miracles and science and wonders that followed him because the

  878. Holy Spirit was with him. It wasn't just words and knowledge.

  879. He was life and action and he will really helping people.

  880. That was the Jesus that was living in those days.

  881. And of course the people who are more I don't know, more, influential, more, whatever,

  882. they don't get the glory because what were they motivated by.

  883. Jesus is just motivated by love. Why did he meet

  884. the Samaritan woman? Why do he heal the guy all

  885. on along the way? You know he did it because

  886. of love, no other reason.

  887. Because they were.

  888. Suffering and they needed relief and he healed them. He

  889. didn't heal them to prove a point. Now, friends, you

  890. got to know who our God is. And there's this

  891. guy Nicodemus came to him. Jesus answered and said to

  892. him most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is

  893. born again, he cannot see the King of God Nicodemus

  894. said to him, how can a man be born when

  895. he is all? Can he enter a second time into

  896. his mother's woman be born? Nicodemus wants to know what

  897. is the answered? He recognized Christ from God, and he's

  898. asking for the answer. And Jesus said, most assuredly, I

  899. say to you, unless one is born of water and

  900. the spirit, he cannot enter the King of God. Which

  901. is that which is born of the flesh, is of

  902. the flesh, and which is born of the spirit or

  903. his spirit. Do not marvel that I say to you

  904. must be born again. The wind blows where it wishes,

  905. and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell

  906. where it comes from and where it goes. So is

  907. everyone who is born of the spirit. Nicod Must answered

  908. and say to him, how can these things be? Jesus

  909. unswer it to him. Are you the teacher of Israel?

  910. And do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say

  911. to you, we speak what we know, and testify what

  912. we have seen.

  913. And you do not receive our witness.

  914. If I've told you earthly things that you do not believe,

  915. how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

  916. No one has ascended to heaven by he who came

  917. down from heaven, that is the son of Man who

  918. is in heaven. Think about a friend that don't know

  919. Christ yet, a friend or colleague that's going through trouble

  920. in your life.

  921. They don't have this answer.

  922. But you have the answer. When you go through trouble,

  923. when you go through sickness, when you go through a

  924. life that is full of.

  925. Stress, what do you do? You pray? You go to God,

  926. not just any God, the living God that is alive.

  927. You go to Christ. Amen. You have the answer. But

  928. they don't have the answer.

  929. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,

  930. even so must the Son of Men be lifted up,

  931. that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have

  932. eternal life for God. Soul love the world that he

  933. gave his only begodden son, that whoever believes in him

  934. should not perish, but have everlasting life for God. They

  935. not send his son into the world to condemn the world,

  936. but that the world true him.

  937. Might be saved.

  938. He who believes in him is not condemned, but he

  939. who does not believe is condemn realy because he has

  940. not believed in the name of the only begotten Son

  941. of God. Christ was telling Nicodimus of another way, not

  942. the way of law, which we would eventually fail. Okay,

  943. that's what nico Dimus understand. But the way of life

  944. and redemption is the way that we all follow imen

  945. where we surrender our rights and will to God's will.

  946. That's what happened.

  947. Lord, I surrender to you, be my savior. So are

  948. we taking personal responsibility of our own lives? Or are

  949. we constantly putting the blame on someone or something else.

  950. You have the wear ready, friends, you have the wear ready.

  951. You have the answer ready. You can do something about it.

  952. Some questions to punder upon.

  953. Even as I close, it's quite a long closinger. How

  954. should we function as the body of Christ?

  955. Think about it? What would we be doing? What should

  956. we be important to us as the body of Christ?

  957. And anyway, this, even as I'm reading the scripture, I

  958. think this is a revelation to me. I'll just share

  959. two scriptures and I'll share your last statement this question.

  960. How does fulfilling God's commandments also means that we are

  961. fulfilling Christ's last.

  962. Commission to us? Okay, we talk.

  963. About missions right, and this is why I close. Okay,

  964. Mark chapter twenty, verse thirty two. Day first says, and

  965. you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,

  966. with all your soul, with all your mind, with all

  967. your strength.

  968. Imen.

  969. This is the first commandment, and the second is like this.

  970. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

  971. Amen.

  972. There is no other commandment greater than this. And it

  973. says that all the laws of the Prophets hang on

  974. these two commandments. Love God, love people, Love God, love people.

  975. And then in Matthew twenty eight, Jesus says this nineteen twenty.

  976. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them

  977. in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit,

  978. teaching them to observe all things that have commanded you.

  979. And low, I'm with you always, even to the end

  980. of the age. Very big concepts. But let me bring

  981. it together. When we make disciples and share with people

  982. the good news, that's what we do as a church, right,

  983. we make disciples. I am encouraging you how to bring

  984. a Bible. I'm encouraging you to come early to church.

  985. Why not so that we know so that you can

  986. receive ministry true worship, when we make disciples, when we

  987. encourage you and pray for people, and when we share

  988. with them the good news.

  989. What's the good news. Jesus is alive. He has a

  990. way for all of you.

  991. When you accept Christ as your personal line savior, you

  992. will be set free and you're never doing this life

  993. alone anymore because the Holy Spirit will reside in you

  994. and you have the answer, true, the Word of God.

  995. That is the good news.

  996. Amen, And no signals, no death, nothing can hold you

  997. back every situation you face.

  998. Just go to God. That is the good news.

  999. Do you know that when you share with them the

1000. good news and make disciples, you are loving them by

1001. showing them a better way to live? Isn't that love?

1002. When you help someone show some want a better way

  1003. to live?

1004. Isn't that love? And do you know that when you.

1005. Do that, you are also loving God by obeying him

1006. and by aligning to His will that all may be

  1007. saved and none perish.

1008. I don't know whether you guys catch it now, how

1009. it all comes together? What's just for us? Just preciorna?

1010. Why do you shad Jesus are so that people can

  1011. become Christian?

1012. No, so we have life.

1013. It's a better way to live. You live free, you

1014. live abandoned life. When you've got problem, you know who

1015. to go to. We are connected to our Father in heaven.

1016. It is good news, no, because we know that we're

1017. not alone, and not just that. We're connected to the

1018. family of God, other believers, other Christians, other people that

  1019. were encouraged each other.

1020. Isn't that a better way to live?

1021. Isn't church the Blessed the best place to be when

  1022. you're going through a tough time.

1023. Nobody's gonna judge you here.

1024. This is why we make disciples, this is why we

1025. bland churches, This is why we do homes, this is

1026. why friends because you want to love people, and we

1027. obey because we love God.

  1028. Amen.

1029. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

1030. information on our church, please visit as church dot org.
