We just know we were accounting that XBJA started twelve

years ago. Okay, what a long time, yes, SA, And

next week actually it's our birthday.

So in X we we we do this.

We celebrate our ex church Andy US three and that's

where actually started on the end of February, you know,

all the way back in the year two thousand and

then after that, of course we plant churches, you know,

and of course different church plans launch in different times,

you know. Uh, And of course you'll be like, oh,

why don't we celebrate every church any US three. Well,

it's going to be quite draining if we do that.

So we all agreed as a leadership we just do

one celebration.

Okay.

But since we are having different church plans, and sometimes

church plans we have, you know, even smaller congregation, and

sometimes we just want to remember when we start. So

in the years past, the leadership has allowed the different

churches to church plans to let's celebrate their birthday, right

like do a birthday, do single celebration so that we

also don't overshadow the ni us three because at the

end the day, we're still one family, you know, and

we don'tant to like, oh we do our own thing

that we don't care about everyone else, because we got

to really remember where we came from. But of course

in x Ja, I you know, I don't know, maybe

because I, yeah, birthday is not my thing anyway, so

I've never really push for it because I always see

n of February as our birthday in that sense. So

we hardly do anything now. But yeah, next next week

is actually next week eight of Actually we started on

the nine of September twenty twelve, right, that's when we started,

like meeting here in PGLA. And it's been a good

twelve years. And you know, I think I've grown, thankfully.

I've grown bigger and now smaller, Praise God.

You know. My wife say I'm great more buff ready,

So that's good.

Yeah, she's not happy, like actually she said nothing to

hurt by tooler.

I said, don't ready here, there won't be anything that

you can hurt anymore. Yeah.

Uh.

And I think I've grown also as a preacher.

Uh and I think I've grown also in my Uh well,

I guess I will say I don't want to be

proud to say this, but I think I've grown in

my anointing to lead this church in PJ. You know,

the law has been gracious, you know, for my friends

who know me ever since I was in XTV. You

probably won't imagine me doing this last I'm sure I

also don't imagine doing myself doing this. Neither do I

imagine myself going to the gym every day. That's something

I don't never imagine. But I guess God has other plans,

you know, And this is where we are. And one

of the things that I always am concerned about, mainly

when it.

Comes to XPJ, is you guys.

I know I don't have the opportunity to talk to

everybody neither. It's going to be impossible, okay, guys, to

really be good friends everybody here. But you know, I'm

sure your home leaders are doing well. I'm sure you

guys have good relationships here.

I pray you do.

And if you don't have and you feel alone, please

reach out and be connected. Uh, don't don't be an island.

No man is an island. You know the people here

are good. You know, we uh we we we share

similar values. We have culture, but I'm always concerned about

x J. You know, I'm always uh more real with

you guys. You know, if you go and listen to me,

other just plants. I'm not as real and not say

not real are but here I guess homegrown, hometown, homegrown,

you know, homeland. You can be a bit more real, right,

you can be a bit more unfiltered, you know, a

bit more uncensored.

You know, I know, got kids story, I won't go there.

So there is that concert always uh concern about what

concerned about your well being, concerned about your faith.

Once in a while, the Lord.

Will give me names to pray for, uh, you know,

and once in a while God will speak to me,

you know, in terms of what what you guys need,

you know, maybe not what you guys want, but what

you guys need to hear.

You know.

You know the difference between what we want to hear

what we need to hear, a very big difference what

we want to hear. After we hear it, we'll feel

very happy on you know, what we need to hear.

Sometimes it will cut us to the heart, but it's

something we need, you know, It's something we need to

grow because it's not just about what we want right,

it's about what we need to do to grow, how

we need to grow in our faith. And sometimes it's

not fun, you know, you know to hear things. You know,

when you go to the doctor and the doctors say

you need to cut down on your food. Wow, doctor,

I'm a foodie. You want to know when it's the

hardest to stop eating, when someone tell you you cannot.

You know, when it's the hardest to not do something,

when someone tells you you can't do it or you're

not supposed to do it, That is the hardest.

But when you can, you don't really have any crave one.

You know.

The beginning of the year, I I'll just get down.

The beginning of the year. I still remember.

I had to control my diet, you know, and exercise

more and and it was the hardest because suddenly, h wow,

when you go online and you look at the reels

and then Sunny a new shop selling new things that

you never try for and they're like, I cannot, I

cannot go for it, And suddenly they'll be different. Sunny

got promotion there, Sunnay got by one two free one.

You know, Sunny capc very cheap but you do difficult

stuff because it's good for you.

Right.

You listen to the hard voice because it's good for you, right, right,

because because if we.

Don't, then we are gonna go down a slippery stroke.

Sometimes we need that voice to tell us what we

do want to hear, but what we need to hear. Amen,

we need to You know, now I'm at an age

where I'm forty ready, and I'm at a place where

you see the investment of the past come to fruition.

I don't know. You guys get that in your own

life and in the lives of other people.

You see how different decisions will you know when you're young, right,

guys can speak to those of you are young you

actually don't know what will happen later or no, you

know everything is okay and everything is good, Everything is

for me sable you you exercise now or you don't

exercise now, you eat now, you enjoy your life now.

You only realize the effect of ten years later on

Like now, how I see certain people who are older

my dad and different ones, you know, I see the

effect of them not taking care of their health now

and then you see people one thing to try their

best to do but unfortunately a lot of things you

have to invest earlier. I'm sure if this is your

because there's something I'm passionate about now that's right now

when I look at the young person and I say,

I know it's hard, but come and join me at

the gym.

I know it's but come and develop this good habit.

You know. And it's not just about Jim. It's about exercising.

It's about let's let's make it in things that I

used to not realize that it was important. Now on

near I had to realize, thank God, I've got a

second chance. You know, these also things you need to hear. Okay,

So these are the things that concern me today. You know,

nothing else concerns me. Can I be honest with your

when you're talking about the message today, I haven't even started.

It comes from a heart or a posture of I

am concern about your I hope that you will catch

something from God, not me. You know, I am no one.

I am. I'm but a humble servant. I'm not perfect.

I don't have any tips and tricks to share with you.

The only tips and tricks I can share is consistency

and trusting God. And well, I guess I would say

I'm faithful. It's something I learned from my dad. I'm

faithful no matter how crazy things get, I'm still faithful.

I still know how to even I don't feel like it.

Sometimes I still have to go back when I say God,

how And I always say something and you're like, will

Will allow? I just do you know?

I think I've got that. So today let me start

the premise. Recently, I was talking to a young person,

and the young person told me that, uh, you know,

I was talking to this friend, and you know, I've

been a good encouragement to the friend, and the friend

is still in the dark place, you know, And I,

you know, and I'm trying to advise this person, and

I'm trying to help this person. And I've got this

person was in the faith, and this young person is

in the faith, and and and this person said, you know, oh,

you know, but I'm in a better place and I'm

helping this friend of mine and my friend is still there,

still in the dark place, still doing things that shouldn't do,

getting involved things that should and I don't know how

to advise or more like, I try advice or don't

know a listen or not. And I went back and

I reflected because God spoke to me about that conversation.

Uh. And the one thing that I caught was light

of the world.

That's the title I message today, Jesus, the light of

the world. Okay, Jesus, the life of the word. Let's

let's read scripture. If you got your Bibles, whether digital

or paper. Turned to John chapter eight, and we're going

to read drawing from this and very interesting because the

word came to me light of the world. Basically, what

I caught from the law was this young person was

a light to this young person's friend, trying to shine

light in the darkness. But then fortune unfortunate. Fortunately the

person is there. Unfortunately the friend is not seeing it.

Right.

And I realized one very important thing about the light

of the world.

Right.

And I hope that after today's my sage, you guys

will catch something. Okay, So Jesus, let's establish at first,

Jesus the life of the world. John chapter eight. Let's

read now, John chapter eight. Wow, and the title says,

and Doultus faces the light of the world. Well, so

people are blessed by it. And he brings a different

dynamic to the scriptures. You know, maybe before that everybody

was teaching them to just obey, obey, obey you need right.

But now Jesus is going deeper. He's talking about the heart.

He's talking about just different things that will you know,

probably cause you to you know, I don't know, you know,

I think when Jesus talked, right, I think all of

us will have.

Something ignited in a heart orna.

That's why I believe, you know, you know, like how

sometimes some preachers when they preach and then you cut

something is read the Holy Spirit speaking to you. Then

the scribes and the Pharisees brought to him a woman

caught in adultery. And when they had set her in

the midst they said to him, teacher, this woman was

caught in adultery in the very act. So imagine these

are the scripes and teachers. You've got someone in the

temple teaching the word of God. And then Siah suddenly, lah,

And in front of this I don't know, this preacher,

master whatever that is doing a lot of crazy things.

And then they say, you know, hey, this woman just

found in the adultery in the very act. Well, in

the very act. How do you catch someone in adultery

in the very egor? I don't even want to think

what they were doing, Okay, guys, And they say to him, yeah,

now Moses were caught Moses. Moses in the law commanded

us that such should be stoned.

But what do you say, Wow, don't you think they're

trying to tach you? Guys? He happily teaching their people

are getting something.

They're all jealous and then it come and throw someone

and say, hey, this pern'tly wrong? What do you think

you know? And I think they almost can guess what

he will say. I think they because of how they

observe him. Do you know that in your life, right,

people who would want to people who want to mess

with you already know how you will act on.

Do you know that? Do you know that if you

are a good.

Christian and if you want to follow God and you

want to do the right thing, do you know that

someone who is jealous about you would put you in

a position that will compromise your own values? Do you

know that because they know you, they know that you

will say do you know that.

You were you will say this? So they will go

and report you or do.

Something like especially if you mess up, especially if you,

I mean all of us mess up, right, We're not perfect.

One day will be late one but it's always that

day where you are five minutes later there you'll get

in trouble. And it's never the few months before that.

It's always that one day, you know, So don't mean

surprised when people want to mess with you, Okay, And

that's what happened. They brought her, and they say, what

do you say this? They say testing him, or even

the Bibles say testing, they're testing him, that they might

he really hated them, right, who have cast them now?

And said all kind things they are Jesus? Okay, So

when they continue asking him why, I already want to

test you, I already want to mess you. And then

you ignore because it's not very important, correct to Jesus

is not important issue, but they still pressure him. How

many of you have been pressured by a not important issue?

And then the person is still pressuring you, still saying

no answer me, tell me what's right? Push some one,

push some on right. Luggi angri la because they're gonna

ignore me, laggi angry.

Okay. And then what happened?

And then he raised himself up and said to them,

he who is without sin among you, let him throw

a stone at her. First might drop he like, just imagine,

just dropped the mind, you know. And then again he

stopped out a rod on the ground. He just look up,

Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience,

went out, one by one, big, with the oldest, even

to the last.

Why the oldest first? Have I thought about? I read it?

I realized why the oldest one left first rather than

the youngest. They all know people who eat more salt

You know, in my life, people who have gone through years.

Cannot deny what they've done. They are in.

A they are in a more people who have gone

through life, Okay, let's let's just wear it. Majority Okay,

maybe not all. You might say, Hey, my uncle, my auntie,

I don't know, Okay, let's not go there. But majority

of the time, a person who have gone through life,

the ups and downs of life, joy, pain, suffering, has

a better self awareness about them cellphone people who are

younger kids zero awareness one zero right, zero self awareness,

But those who are older generally have better self awareness.

Why your self awareness is important. Self awareness is important

for you to know who you are and where you

come from and where you are at right now. Do

you know that without self awareness, you are not You

won't be able to progress. You are in your own

world thinking everything is fine. It's very dangerous not to

have no self awareness. Do you know how you get

self awareness? Your parents will tell you, your boss will

tell you, your loved one will tell you. If you've

got no self awareness, and if you reject your self awareness,

then the word that comes is that you are ignorant.

You are ignorant to your own actions. You're ignorant to

the effect of what you will do in your life.

Does that make sense? Guys?

Right, So the oldest because they are more self awareness,

You're like, oh, the young guys probably are like, man,

I've never stolen someone before.

I want to try. Maybe I don't know, true or not?

Makes sense? Right, You're when you're read Bible quite exciting.

You're never imagining these things.

Man being convicted by their conscience went out one by one,

beginning with the oldest, even to the last, and Jesus

was left alone and the woman standing in the midst

When Jesus had raised himself up and saw no one

but the woman, he said to her, woman, where are

those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you? She said,

no one, Lord, And Jesus said to her, neither do

I condemn you? Go and sin no more. And this

is the part that is I find very interesting. This

is the part I find very interesting because immediately after

that he said to them, Okay, who is the damn?

I thought?

I thought, the Bible said Jesus, and the world no, No, guys,

he was teaching halfway.

So I give you this perspective. Imagine I was Jesus.

Imagine I was Jesus, and I'm teaching you and someone

maybe a group of people who don't like me, and

bring I don't know, an adultress woman here and then

say have to stone. And then you are still watching.

You all are still watching what's happening. How I respond

to these girl of people, how I respond today? Say

what you are seeing? Every single thing that's happening. And

this is what he said. After that ordeal, Jesus spoke

to them and said again and saying, I am the

light of the world. He who follows me shall not

walk in darkness, but have the light of life. So

much debt in Christ, he who follows me. That's the

condition I think for granted, al uys here follow Jesus. Right,

all of us here are following Jesus. If we are

following Jesus, the light of the world, then we will

not walk in darkness, but we will.

Have the light of life. Isn't that powerful? Isn't that powerful?

Okay, just so fun because I know, you know, as

I was looking at it, I'm like, oh man, I'm

trying to find something that will help you guys imagine

what happened to it, because you know, I've read this

so many times and I'm like, it's definitely more dramatic

than that. So what I did was so I went

on YouTube, and I went and search for some like scenes,

and it was quite funny because I found a lot

summer not scripturally got right one. There was one I

found out Jesus literally he didn't he right halfway on

the ground there he took a stone, one thing, a

stone the lady and then he looked at the stone

and say, turn to the people. For those of you

who have not seen, you can cast the first stone.

And he dropped the stone, and IM thinking myself, no,

that didn't happen in scripture. But I found this clip

and I hope you guys can watch it with me.

Hopefully it works so that we can at least get

so Christ the.

Light of the World.

Let's do be of a case study. Okay, let's do

a be of a case study. I hope I've explained

it enough that you can feel it. Okay, but maybe

and then see how O CA what did the scribes

and Pharisees, religious leaders sick to do? What did they

sick to do? I mentioned just now. They sought to

test Jesus because they knew what he would do. Right,

So they knew him. He's been doing his ministry for already.

They know his style. They know that he will forgive

the lady. They know, you know. But they wanted to

get him in trouble because he was taking away influence

from them, because he was doing something that the people

was yearning for, not just rules and regulations, but a

way of life that he was sharing, a way of

life that bring joy and peace and abundance. That's what

Jesus did. Do you know that we have that today?

So you'll be like, don't believe me showing up, Alvin.

My life is still suffering, although I don't worry. We'll get there.

We'll get there. Okay, we'll get there. They wanted to

catch him breaking the law. Friends, I'm gonna be resh.

I'm gonna tell you this. You know, whether you believe

it or not, there is no rule of law here

in this church. We just want to encourage people to

follow a way of life, values, things that will help

you grow in your faith. It's not about ruin law.

If you think it's about ruin law, then you've missed

the point. You've missed the point you know. Is there

still submission that is required? Yes, there is still submission.

We are all submitting to Christ. That's why we do

what we do. But it's not about real law. You

have a choice. Do you know that it is a

choice of mind to stand here and to submit to

my leadership. I'm not forced dog, guys. I can leave

any time I want to. I can go anywhere wherever

I want to. But I know God has called me here.

That's the difference.

So there's no rule in law, but there's a submission

that I'm willing to submit. Jesus is not them, but they.

Pressure him for an answer. In the end, he answered them,

but he did it the Jesus way, which I really

really appreciate. Instead of answering them, he asked them a question. Parents,

one of the best ways right to deal with your

caser is to ask your case a question. After they

ask your question, let him reflect. He didn't just ask

whoever he's talking to, to reflect on themselves, on their

actions on the situation.

Yeah, they were convicted by their conscience, and they left

John eight eleven.

She said no one, lord, and Jesus said to her,

neither do I condemn you, Go and sin no more.

Jesus himself, who was perfect, did not condemn the woman,

but he could know. Do you know that Jesus would

condemned her? He was perfect, He's never done anything wrong ever,

But he didn't. Instead, he gave her a second chance

and told.

Her go and sin no more. Friends.

We can learn a lot about this encounter, right we can't.

Let's let's let me let me uh say a few

things that I hope you can catch. Jesus was perfect,

you see, so we are all supposed to follow Christ.

Right. Jesus is perfect. He could have cast a first stone.

He didn't. What did he do? Tell her? Don't go

Let me ask you what's powerful When you mess up

and you deserve the punishment, and then the person that

is has all the right, no word to punish you,

didn't punish you instead asks you to stop it and

don't do it anymore?

What will you do? Let's reflect a little bit on

changed her life, she didn't. She deserved a punishment, but

she didn't. She deserves to die, that's according to the law.

But she didn't. But if she turned around, she can

go ways.

Are you really following Christ? If you're still in darkness,

of many people in the temple.

But they were more concerned with his influence over the people,

and in the end they wanted to store him. But

That's very powerful. Are you guys catching something?

I'm trying to let you know that if you say

that you are a follower of Christ, I'm not saying that,

oh you know why you never follow? No, no, no, guys,

please don't get me wrong, because there is no condemnation.

If you are aware about this truth now, then go

and sin no more, Go and sin no more, because

then you experience light. But if you continue in your sin,

then that's foolishness because you've given You've been given a

second chance. Don't you think Look at the adulteress woman.

If she continues sin, don't you think that there is

foolishness on the path. It's foolishness on the path. But

if she had a life change, then she have used

a second chance. Really well, she had been wise automatic wise.

Amen. So first point we got to catch is Christ

is the light of the world. He is friends.

No matter what Internet tells you, no matter what your

friends tell you. You need to remember and know that

Jesus Christ is the light of the world. And you

can follow other things. But if you don't follow him,

you're gonna just follow darkness. That is the conviction I

have right now. Don't stand in between. You cannot be

lookewarm in this. You have to be clear, I'm following Christ,

and Christ is darkness, and every time I feel myself

in darkness, I need to ask the light of the

world to come into my life to help expose the

things that should.

Be dealt with in my life.

Do you know that the other promise that God gave

us is that we are the light of the world.

And this son goes into the conversation that I had

with that young person, because a young person said, I

don't understand why. I don't understand why I'm being such

a great encouragement. This is why. First because you're of Christ.

Second because you are the light of the world. Matthew,

chapter five, verse thirteen to sixteen. Matthew, Chapter five, verse

thirteen sixteen. I hope you guys are catching something from

this truth. So what does he say Matthew thirteen sixteen.

He says, you are result of the earth. Five the

sort loses his flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It

is then good for nothing but to be thrown out

and trampled under foot by men.

You are the light of the world.

A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden,

nor do they light a lamp and put it under

a basket, but on a lamb stand, and it gives

light to all who are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men.

That they may see your good works and glorify your

Father in heaven. Why are some of you here such

great encourageous Why are some of you here when you

have conversations with people other people and encouraged and they're

not even Christian?

Why are some of you here?

Your boss loves you two bits because you do such

a great job. You're on time, you're faithful, you are

being a blessing to the company. This is why, very simple,

No guys, no, no, no, your it's because of your talent.

Well yallah in a way, but is.

Why because you are the sort of the earth and

the light of the world.

Let's go real quick, kay.

Things that sire teaches us about salt and like, okay,

things that science teaches us. Okay, So firstly, salt. Salt

is what an agent of change? When you post so

in something, it changes. It changes the amosphere and all

that kind of stuff, right, It changes the atmosphere and

Yes, we've been given a second chance, like the lady

who was an adulteress. The question is what are we

doing with a second chance now? It's an important question

to us. He came to fulfill the law. He came

to show us a way to live, a way which

would causes us to be righteous. It comes one full circle.

important for fathers and mothers to play their role to

Consider if you're shining god slight or otherwise. Consider if

you're really committed to your life to Christ. Consider yourself

faith in Christ, no matter how hard things get. Just now,

when we're wayshiping, I had a revelation. You know, that's

another message. You know sometimes in life right, the way

we look at church is that this is me, this

is church, this is God.

We separated, this is me, this church, this is God. Right,

and all I need is God. I don't need church.

All I need is church. I don't. I don't know.

I think the right way to look at it is,

can I show you this picture, and really I can

show you. This is me and I'm in the church.

And you know that Christ loves the church. He covers
