  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your dea.

  3. So this is a word that I believe God wants

  4. to share with you guys. It's not a new word

  5. because this word was something that Passagon approached in twenty eighteen.

  6. You know.

  7. And if you want the original message, and I encourage

  8. you go listen to it as well. You know, hopefully

  9. I do a good job. It's called the product of discouragement. Okay,

  10. the products and like, oh what's that?

  11. Now? Don't worry, you know, we will get through it. Okay.

  12. So with really being sensitive of time, I'm just gonna

  13. run through scripture. Please turn to Hebrews chapter twelve, verse

  14. one two two. Hebrews Chapter twelve, verse one to two.

  15. I'm sure by now you would know that our culture

  16. is that we bring our Bibles to church.

  17. Amen.

  18. Only only my wife is supporting me this morning. I

  19. know it's very cold, but you know, when you get

  20. your lungs, you know, shouting and all, then you might

  21. warm up your body a little bit. Okay, So it's

  22. our culture domreeon bibles. So let's read Hebrews chapter twelve,

  23. verse one. He says here. Therefore we also, since we

  24. are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, maybe

  25. I get Nick to help me screw this in because

  26. I'm worried. There drop again, m by so great a

  27. cloud of witnesses. Let us lay aside every weight this part, Yeah,

  28. every weight and the sin which so easily and snares,

  29. and let us run with endurance the race that is

  30. set before us.

  31. And we all know this next scripture because we use

  32. it all the time.

  33. Looking Ato, Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith,

  34. who for the joy that was set before him, and

  35. they are the cross, despising the shame, and has sat

  36. down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  37. You know who is Christ? He is the author and

  38. finisher of our faith. What does that mean? Let's go

  39. deeper into the world. First question I want to ask

  40. all of you here, okay, and this time you can

  41. answer truthfully. Anyone here run marathons, Just just wave your hand.

  42. Run marathons, half marathon, if it's fun, run five kmsto

  43. still countered?

  44. Okay? Yeah, anyone here or you've run before? I see one? Jamie,

  45. what Tony serious? Wow? Tony?

  46. Okay, cherylso run marathon. Yeah, well done, Cheryl, and good good.

  47. Okay, So.

  48. I tried running before, you know, when I wanted to

  49. start my health day. I think I share about it

  50. before here, and somehow it.

  51. Just didn't work.

  52. Okay, uh, and I found another way. But whether you

  53. run marathons or not, today all of us are running

  54. a race. You know, all of us are running this race.

  55. And that's what the Bible says. You know, we are

  56. running this race. But what race is it? We run

  57. every day?

  58. Guys?

  59. Of course, now you're looking around your neighbor and saying, huh,

  60. you also runner. Don't look around, okay, nor around. It

  61. is called what it is called a marathon of faith.

  62. It's a marathon of faith. It's a race of life.

  63. And that's what we're running. That's the race that all

  64. of us are running. Whether or not we physically run

  65. the race or not, it is a race. It is

  66. a faith race, you know that a faith race. We're

  67. all running this race. We're all running this race together,

  68. especially if you are a believer in Christ. We are

  69. running this race. But we're not just supposed to run

  70. the race. We should finish it. We should finish this race.

  71. Of faith.

  72. You know that. You know, when you see people run

  73. a race.

  74. Of course, now the Olympic, you we cheer the person

  75. that wins, you know, and we cheer the person. But

  76. when you talk about the race of faith, you just

  77. need to finish it. Winning it is finishing it. How

  78. many of you like this race? As long as I

  79. finish it, I'm done. Huh yeah, as long as I

  80. finish the race. Don't halfway, don't halfway ten meters before

  81. give up, don't don't one meter before I it is okay. No,

  82. I'm hungry now I'm gonna no, no, no, finish the race.

  83. Get a finisher T shirt from Jesus. No, he gives

  84. you a crown, not a T shirt. You know, finish

  85. a race. We need to finish the race. You're you're

  86. you know that you'll know that. If you didn't know that,

  87. then you hopefully today you'll know that it is a

  88. race that of faith that we need to finish. And

  89. the Bible teaches us how we should run this race. Okay,

  90. let's let's go into it. And it's written the he

  91. brows chapter twelve of US one to two. I've got

  92. five points here. The first point is we gotta put

  93. a side every weight. What what is weight?

  94. Right?

  95. The next point is put aside the sin we so

  96. easily and snarzes. And then it also says, let us

  97. run with endurance right, looking ato Jesus the author, and

  98. finish off our faith. So we got to look to Jesus. Okay,

  99. Number one, put us side every way. Is there anything

  100. your life that's weighty or not? It's a bit hard

  101. to run when you got waights right, you know, when

  102. you're carrying weights. And it talks about scene as well,

  103. and we'll go a little bit deeper into it, okay,

  104. and it asks it tells us Bible tells us to

  105. run with endurance.

  106. You know what endurance is?

  107. Just basically, I think the last time I shared about endurance,

  108. I used to the hand just in a sorry used

  109. to be cantonese. Today I don't know. I hope I'm correct. No,

  110. my wife is checking it. I never I shouldn't say

  111. I say wrong thing. Later, Yeah, I seem to be

  112. saying wrong thing. And we're gonna look into Jesus when

  113. we run this race. There has to be a focal point.

  114. There has to be something you're looking at. There has

  115. to be a reference point.

  116. It's funny.

  117. Just now I was telling doctor Jason what I'm gonna

  118. do later for the message. It's like I thought, you

  119. promise not to share gym reference city Sorr. Yeah, guys,

  120. today one somehow it fits. You gotta have a reference

  121. point on where you want to hit, because if you

  122. do half, then you will be going everywhere. So we

  123. all look to Jesus in this way race of faith,

  124. and we gotta run with joy. Where's it return here?

  125. We gotta run with joy because you see looking at

  126. Jesus the autumn finish our faith who for the joy

  127. that was set before him? See Chrisler, he ran this

  128. race radio. No, he came already. He was born for

  129. thirty years. He just followed his parents and then after

  130. that he started ministry three years.

  131. Then done deal.

  132. He left it to twelve guys and he left, well,

  133. not just chelf guys. He left it to twelve that

  134. was close to him, but it was more than twelve.

  135. And he left and the world was never the same

  136. again because he didn't just leave us physically. He did

  137. something in the spiritual and that's why we have the

  138. Holy Spirit today with us, and that's why we can

  139. pray to God. Because those of us who are sinners, right,

  140. who our lives are not perfect, we can be connected

  141. with God.

  142. How wonderful is that?

  143. If you're here and you're not a believer, if you're

  144. here and you don't know who this Christ is, if

  145. you're here and you're thinking that Christianity is just a

  146. religion that you practice. I come to church on Sunday.

  147. I read my bibe. No, guys, it is a relationship

  148. with Christ. I want to encourage all of you here

  149. have a relationship with Jesus. Have a relationship, not just

  150. follow a set of laws. That's what the Pharisees and

  151. setusis did. Jesus came to show that it's about relationship.

  152. It's not just about a set of laws and rules.

  153. Amen.

  154. So friends, let's run this race and let's do it. Well, Amen,

  155. I need this group decide, decide? Not sure, guys, can

  156. we run this race and finish it? Run this race? Well,

  157. let's run this race? Well altogether everyone and see running

  158. this raceer? You know you know the thing about running races,

  159. he said, they are challenges, no right for some of us,

  160. For me as espectually, the challenge to run a race

  161. is to wake up in the morning. That's the first

  162. challenge to overcome the pillow. Right, it's very tough, very

  163. tough on you here. Well done to those of you

  164. are here. You overcome the pillow and you here on

  165. a Sunday. It's so nice right to sleep in today,

  166. nice and cold and raining. Oh my goodness, thank god,

  167. tomorrow's holiday. But for those of you who going, it's

  168. not really holiday for you. And now I'm just joking, Okay,

  169. go enjoy yourself. There are challenges, friends. Do you know

  170. what's the greatest challenge to running a race? The greatest

  171. challenge is the challenge that stops you from running.

  172. Right. Have you seen those races where people run around

  173. then they stop halfway.

  174. A bit wasted, Right, It's like you're doing so well.

  175. Maybe you're not winning, but you were running. Yes, it

  176. was tough. You felt like, you know, you want to faint,

  177. ready and pass out? Ready, you know you felt that

  178. what acid liketed making your you know, but don't stop,

  179. Paul says in secon teenty four seven.

  180. I fought the good fight. I finished the race. I've

  181. kept the faith.

  182. But friends, this is something that I also need to

  183. share a few that this race that we're running it is.

  184. It is not a race for muscles. It is not

  185. a race for titles. Oh you know I reach a

  186. pastorhood then I no, no, guys, it's not a race

  187. for titles. Bishop Cardinal, however, Masha, but no, we follow

  188. that track.

  189. Do you know that?

  190. It's not not a race of promotions as well? You

  191. know we work so hard for promotions. Sometimes we work

  192. so hard and we don't get the promotion. You get discourage.

  193. It's also not a race of who's good looking young people.

  194. Let me talk to you here today. However much you

  195. do the duck face and take photon selfie, right, you're

  196. not running the race that Jesus has in tenner for us.

  197. If you feel it, you feel it, Okay, If you

  198. don't feel it's fine. It is not a race of

  199. who's more good looking. It is also not a race

  200. for success.

  201. Guys.

  202. There's so many books written, how do you be successful?

  203. How do you redefine success?

  204. How?

  205. Guys? This is what the Bible says. Is not what

  206. I say, and it's not Pastor Elvins said. It is

  207. not my definition. This is the Bible's definition. We are

  208. running a race looking into Jesus. Jesus in the eyes

  209. of the world was not successful. He was supposed to

  210. come and liberate a group of people, but he was

  211. hung on the cross.

  212. He was punished. He failed, the world thinks.

  213. But those of us who know the truth, we knew

  214. he succeeded because he won over death and he has

  215. given us eternal life. So he didn't fail. But in

  216. the eyes of the world he failed. You know that

  217. in the eyes of the world he failed. In the

  218. eyes of the world, Jesus was just a fairy tale.

  219. So much show that Hollyowd uses Jesus name as a

  220. swear word. Why of all the different people only need

  221. Jesus use as swear word so many other words to use, right,

  222. think about it. The world is against him.

  223. And the world will be against you. That's what the

  224. Bible says.

  225. Really, because if we run this race looking to Christ,

  226. then you will get challenges. You will get problems because

  227. you are running this race. So don't be surprised when

  228. you run this race you got a problem. Suddenly have

  229. to do forty five degree incline. Forty five degrees quite higher,

  230. maybe five degree incline of fifteen degree incline. You're for

  231. those you who know you know what I'm talking about.

  232. The more inclined, the harder. It is a race of faith.

  233. Friends.

  234. In a physical race, the weight, So we talk about

  235. the weight first point weight, so it says put aside

  236. every week. So you know when you run a race.

  237. How many of you know that when you run a

  238. and you carry your laptop back, you're gonna be less effective.

  239. Some of you your laptop back is rare heavy. Right

  240. when you're carrying your school bag and you're you know

  241. it's gonna be when you're running a race.

  242. Do you think you carry all day?

  243. Noah?

  244. You will you remove the weight?

  245. Right, So, in a physical race, the weight often refers

  246. to stuff on the outside, stuff that you can remove,

  247. right if you watch I remember seeing this documentary about

  248. how they were trying to shave off seconds seconds, No

  249. shave off seconds from the runners or wear the aerodynamic

  250. you know, and then basically don't wear anything heavy. Maybe

  251. the shoe or so is light. How many of you

  252. light light shoes? Running shoes all light on?

  253. Right? If you got heavy running shoes mean something is

  254. wrong in the la.

  255. Right, So for a runner, a coach would checked he

  256. would check all the items like the shoes, the clothing,

  257. any other weight I can shave off. Don't wear your

  258. Apple watch because you need to run. Any form of

  259. weight removed. So, friends, are there weights in your life?

  260. But you know that's a physical race. Remember why it

  261. said it was it's a race of faith, you know,

  262. a race of faith. The thing about a race of

  263. faith when you talk about weights, right, it is stuff

  264. on the inside.

  265. It's stuff on the inside.

  266. That weighs you down, not the outside physical you can

  267. see outside.

  268. Hey, why are you carrying the laptop back? Remove it right?

  269. Then you won't be ever run. But in a spiritual race, friends,

  270. the weight is on the inside. It cannot be seen

  271. by the natural eye. You might look happy, Hey, hallelujah,

  272. praised the Lord.

  273. Amen.

  274. You know we do not say the right thing. But

  275. in the insight, it's weighing you down. It's insight, it's

  276. weighing you down. That's why it's so deceiving. Don't you

  277. think so?

  278. It is? It is so deceiving. That's why the Bible

  279. says it's so easily and stances.

  280. Why is it easily? And because it's happening to us

  281. without even us knowing, you know, sometimes it does. It's

  282. happening to our family without even us knowing. We think

  283. everything is fine as long as they continue doing the thing.

  284. It creeps in slowly and by the time you realize it,

  285. it's done its job. Some of you might not even

  286. realize it what that way is. So the Bible shares

  287. about two things that can stop us, right, and I

  288. want to give you a message illustration. There are two

  289. things that can stop us.

  290. Okay, yeah, there.

  291. Are two things that can stop us. Can you see it? Wait,

  292. it's very heavy, you know. No, no, no, it's tan kg

  293. and e okay, no, I cannot. I cannot do fifteen

  294. it's too heavy. Imagine if I'm running with this weight.

  295. It's so hard, right, how do I run? It's tough?

  296. If we read Hebrews. So let's can we study the

  297. Bible a little bit so that we can run this

  298. race better?

  299. Can or not?

  300. Can you guys follow me right as we study a

  301. little bit too and be a bit aware.

  302. So the Bible says there are two things I can

  303. stop us.

  304. One is the way and one more is the sin.

  305. He didn't see the Bible didn't say sins, No, say sin.

  306. One sin can stop us from running this race. Friends,

  307. let's talk about a wait first, what is the weight

  308. that you need to put aside this morning so they

  309. can run better? Is it the weight of self lack

  310. of self image, lack of self confidence? Do you have

  311. the weight of like I must make everybody happy? All

  312. these things are heavy? You know heavy? Okay, that's the way.

  313. What is the weight in your life? And the thing

  314. about weight is that different people, different weights that you're carrying.

  315. That's causing you to behavior when you run. That's why

  316. it's hard to run. That's why it's hard to run

  317. this race. That's why it's hard to be committed, because

  318. there's a weight. My hand's hurt thing even as I'm

  319. carrying it's gonna put it down. The second thing that

  320. weighs us down is the sin that's so easily and

  321. snares us. What is this scene? Let's read the Bible

  322. and find out what this sin is. Okay, we find

  323. out and studied Why why study the Bible? Because I

  324. can't just be telling you what I think. You know,

  325. it's really had to be from scripture. And we're going

  326. to take the context of this scene that stops you

  327. from running and stops you and me from running well

  328. from the Bible itself, from this chapter itself, because when

  329. the writer writes it's very specific. Amen, what does he

  330. mean when he wrote sin Let's read on her verse

  331. three to six. For consider him who endured such hostility

  332. from sinner. So he's talking about Jesus. Now run this race.

  333. Look to Jesus. Jesus he is the author and finish

  334. of our faith for the joy of you know what.

  335. Was said before him.

  336. He saw it, He saw the joy, he was chasing

  337. after the joy, He endured the cross, he despised the shame,

  338. and then he was given to be sitting down at

  339. the right hand of the throne of God. So we

  340. know what happened in the end, and we who are

  341. running strace, we've got to consider him. He endured such

  342. hostility from sinners again himself. Are you having challenges in

  343. your workplace? Are you having challenges to people who do

  344. not Christ? Yet, don't be surprised. Jesus so went through it.

  345. Lets you become wary and discouraged in your souls. Wow,

  346. I think it's the answer is here. For consider him

  347. who endures such hostility from sinners against himself lest you become.

  348. Wary and discouraged in your souls. Let's read on.

  349. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed striving against sin,

  350. and you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you

  351. as sons. My son, do not despise the chestening of

  352. the Lord, nor be the discourage when you are rebuked

  353. by him. For whom the Lord loves, he chastens and

  354. schoorges every son whom he receives. The Bible wants us

  355. that we can become wary. And if the weight wearies

  356. you down, then what is the sin.

  357. Thanks ing? The sin.

  358. Is discouragement. How come you say the scenes describing me?

  359. You're sure not? Discussion is a scene?

  360. Man? Let me ask you a simple question. How many

  361. are here? Never been discouraged? On?

  362. Can you raise up your hands? You've never been discouraged.

  363. You've always been encouraged, always pushing forward. You've never been

  364. discouraged in your life. You know when you're discouraged? Right,

  365. and in different ones, say you can answer me when

  366. you are discouraged. The last time you were discouraged, how

  367. do you feel?

  368. You felt like you felt light? Why nobody answering me?

  369. You on? You want not answer.

  370. Right, you felt like throwing the towel wall, very very poetic.

  371. You felt like you discussion.

  372. You felt like.

  373. Only Adrian felt like giving up. Everyone here don't feel

  374. like giving up?

  375. Right?

  376. Are you guys who care? Not? Good morning? Everybody?

  377. Am I speaking to people? Or am I speaking to

  378. the wall? What do you feel like when you're discouraged?

  379. Is that true? You feel lousy?

  380. Yeah? But you felt like giving up? Right?

  381. You felt like throwing the towel right, the last time

  382. you were discouraged? Let me ask you another question. The

  383. last time you were discouraged in whatever manner, did you

  384. not slow down? If we were running this race the

  385. last time you were discouraged, did you not slow down?

  386. Did you not feel like giving up? And?

  387. For some hours here did we not stop? I say

  388. we because I also been there. I have been discouraged

  389. many times, and when I feel discouraged, I feel like

  390. giving up. Many times. I don't feel like moving faster

  391. when I'm discouraged. You know, I think it'd be something

  392. wrong with me. You know, discouragement can slow you down.

  393. You can.

  394. And dangerously it can also cause you to stop running

  395. when you discourage. Maybe last time, when you came to

  396. the church. First time, you were early, but after a

  397. while becomes later and later and later. Maybe when we started,

  398. we were passionate. You know, that's the wonderful thing about

  399. being young, passionate. Let's go out, come on all the way.

  400. And then one person says something that discourages es us,

  401. and then suddenly our parents say something that discourages and

  402. then suddenly something happened, and then Sunday this happened, and

  403. Sunday that happened, and Sunday everything happened. It's okay, let

  404. me store down. I am getting older. You know your

  405. lingo changes when you discourage. Last time is can one?

  406. Everything? Can one? We can do it.

  407. Come on, let's believe. Then now suddenly know huh again again?

  408. How many times it e? How many times are every heavy?

  409. Lah?

  410. This thing very heavy? Very heavy? It is really hey, guys, don't.

  411. Put it down. Friends, we are running this race of faith.

  412. Do we not forget.

  413. Faith in what faith in giving, faith in coming for service,

  414. faith in praying, praying for the sake. How many of

  415. you first time when you knew that and understood the

  416. revelation that when you pray for the sick, they will

  417. get healed, and you're so excited, but after a few discouragements,

  418. you akela in God's timing, you know we use system

  419. in God's timing.

  420. When God really speak to me, and yeah, I do it?

  421. No, no, where in the Bible I read now when

  422. God speak to you and you you pray for the sick,

  423. No way I read. In fact, he says, pray for

  424. the sick, and some things you have to fast and pray.

  425. Some things you have to ask the elders to come

  426. and annoint and pray. Know where the Bible, friends, we

  427. are running strays of faith, you know, some of us

  428. here we are running even though we don't see any signs.

  429. Let me try and go deeper in this point.

  430. You don't see any signs, but you've been running are

  431. You've been running and believing us for many many years.

  432. Ready, but you don't see any signs.

  433. You need to hear testimonies, and you're stilling courage by

  434. the testimony is and you continue to believe.

  435. Is it happening? No, there's no.

  436. In gym terms, they say no games yet nothing happening.

  437. But why are you still going to the gym? Why

  438. are you still be living? Why is you coming to church.

  439. Nothing is happening yet. Do you see the difference? Because

  440. it is a race of faith. You're acting in faith

  441. when you don't see it in science, and you still come.

  442. You're acting in faith when you still decline even though

  443. it has not happened yet. But the moment discouragement says in.

  444. Sure not sure not?

  445. Uh?

  446. You see the difference.

  447. Faith causes you to keep running, but discouragement would stop

  448. you or slow you down from running. There you guys, okay,

  449. So how do we overcome discouragement?

  450. Friends? How do we overcome this? The Bible teaches us

  451. that right, first point is.

  452. Looking until Jesus the author, and finish off our faith.

  453. I know there are a lot of solutions out there.

  454. Oh go take a break, go and talk to change

  455. your environment.

  456. Right, that's what people advise. Friends.

  457. I give you one solution. Look to Jesus. He was discouraged,

  458. he was down. He's a race of Faithor let's remember

  459. that again. Why look to Jesus because maybe someone's here.

  460. I'll be looking at men all this while. Did men

  461. die for you? Or did God die for you? Who

  462. is your reference point?

  463. See? Men died for you?

  464. And then fine, look at menla but I don't think

  465. men die for you. Your boss didn't die for you, your

  466. parents didn't die for you, for your sines. I mean, okay,

  467. your best friend didn't die for Since Jesus did, then

  468. why can't we look at him? We got to keep

  469. our eyes on him when we're running this race of faith.

  470. Sometimes we keep our eyes on the wrong thing. Keep

  471. our eyes on what's happening right now in the church scene.

  472. Keep our eyes on friends. Can I admit to you

  473. here I will make mistakes this morning or so go,

  474. Some drama happened that I made a mistake, and I

  475. apologize for it. I'm human, So please don't look at me.

  476. I'll fail you. Let's all look to Jesus.

  477. Amen. Sometimes we look at the wrong things. That's why

  478. we get discouraged.

  479. We get discouraged, and we you know who wins or not.

  480. When you guys don't run the race, you don't win.

  481. The devil wins.

  482. Another one bites the dust race that was started because

  483. of who Christ.

  484. He was the one that started this race, and we

  485. are continuing this race because of him. No other reason,

  486. isn't it right? No other reason, friends, no other reason

  487. but Christ. So our eyes need to be upon him,

  488. looking unto Jesus, the author and finish of faith, who

  489. for the joy that was set before him, and dealed

  490. the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at

  491. the right hand of the throne of God. Are you

  492. guys okay, let me give you another truth. Okay, I

  493. see goda be all time, and I'll try to rush this.

  494. This gurish man has another word. Do you know that

  495. I can I show you? Okay, maybe I read the

  496. scripture first and see whe they can catch it. This

  497. garish man has another word, And I'm gonna be reading

  498. from Hero for six. For whom the Lord loves, he

  499. chastens and schorges every son whom he receives. If you

  500. end your chestening, God deals with you as with sons.

  501. For what son is there whom a father does not

  502. chasten chasaman's discipline? Now, okay, But if you are without chestening,

  503. of which become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore,

  504. we are bad if we have had human fathers who

  505. correct us, corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall

  506. we not much more readily be in subjucation to the

  507. Father of the spirits and life for they. Indeed, for

  508. a few days chasten us as seem best to them,

  509. but he for our profit that we may be partakers

  510. of His holiness. Now no chestening seems to be joyful

  511. for the present, but painful. Nevertheless, afterward, it yields the

  512. peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained

  513. by it. Discourage Man has another word.

  514. Friends.

  515. We might not like to hear this, but discourage man

  516. has a word. And the other word that I want

  517. to introduce to you is disciplined. Huh you mean when

  518. I'm discouraged, I'm being disciplined by God.

  519. I don't know. I'm not saying you know.

  520. I'm just saying that there's another possible word that became

  521. used when we talk about discouragement, discipline.

  522. If you die.

  523. If you guys don't like the word discipline, let me

  524. give you another word from Biblah. Training. Training. Training is painful, right,

  525. but God wants to train us. That's what the chapter says.

  526. It says, first, lay aside every way, right, lay a

  527. side every way. And the sin that easily and stands

  528. wor scene is discouragement. Because when we don't lay the side,

  529. we will get affected by it. But you see what

  530. happens that causes you to discouraged? Said, I am nice

  531. things that are heavy, right, it's weird, it's heavy, it's

  532. heavy to run. But if you change discouragement into discipline

  533. and training, then don't you think after a while you

  534. can carry it? You can carry it discouragement? What happens

  535. if I continue to do these friends, I will be

  536. a gym bro buff hands right? Don't you think this

  537. is training or very heavier? But I'm gonna train lord behavior,

  538. We're gonna train well ware discouraging, I'm gonna train. I'm

  539. gonna train friends. Can I give you this statement? If

  540. you are not following me what I'm trying to tell you,

  541. I I Elvin King am a product of all my discouragements.

  542. Oh my pa ask discouragements and maybe future you here

  543. sitting down here are a product of all your discouragements.

  544. You either choose to take all your discouragements and become bitter,

  545. or you take on the discouragement and you choose to

  546. make it better. You'll catch that you can avoid diskaris

  547. mans friends, you cannot avoids when it comes, you look

  548. to Christ or you respond when it comes you look

  549. to Christ and then what do you do? Because you

  550. still have the discouragement? Right, you can choose to respond

  551. to the discouragement. If I had a hundred or maybe

  552. a thousand disgaragements in the past forty years of my

  553. life from young until now, my response to every single

  554. discarage man makes me who I am today?

  555. Is that correct or not?

  556. My response to every single discaragh man mikes me who

  557. I am today?

  558. Isn't it correct? Right?

  559. Do we respond or react? If we keep reacting to

  560. these garage mans? That is where we are today. Con

  561. That's why we are all products of our discourage man.

  562. Whether we like it or not, we are. But what

  563. is the difference? We can choose to respond for better

  564. or for worse. Friends, we are product of discurage. I

  565. cannot come in and tell you all, let's have all

  566. positive thinking. Okay, when dis garish man come, no friends,

  567. dis garage man will come. The only question is are

  568. you gonna allow it to ensnare you or are you

  569. gonna start training? Are you gonna start training or just

  570. let it weigh you down? Ah savila, ah savy. But

  571. you see, once you train with tank a g Before this,

  572. I cannot do this. No, I can actually do fifteen,

  573. but I started with five.

  574. In January.

  575. When you respond to discourage man, then you move forward,

  576. and then when another one comes and then move forward.

  577. But where are you looking, Jesus? Why?

  578. Because this is a race of faith and we want

  579. everyone here to finish. So friends, let's finish. Can we finish?

  580. Let's finish? There's another thing that keeps us from Running's endurance.

  581. When do you need to endure when there is paining? Friends,

  582. when you're having fun time, don't need to enduana? How

  583. many of you all? I mean enduring. I'm having such

  584. a good time. I'm enduring.

  585. None of you here say that none of you here

  586. will endure your holiday?

  587. Right?

  588. None of you here will? And you're a nice will

  589. fay and during I cannot take it? I usually eat,

  590. But then none of you here. Maybe some will end

  591. your ice cream? Do you and your ice cream? I

  592. mean not against it where you're eating it? La right,

  593. none of us here. But when it's painful, we need

  594. to endure. When we am the diskyish man, we need

  595. to endure. When we go to tough times, we endure,

  596. and dis garish man can come from anywhere.

  597. Some of you here.

  598. I hope you're not disguision with this message to day

  599. and you'll be encouraged. It might be a word from

  600. a person, it might be a situation you experience, but friends,

  601. can I encourage you Whether you like it or not,

  602. You're a product of your discouragements. My encouragement is respond

  603. and make it better. Respond and train.

  604. Amen.

  605. This is a revelation that passed the kind of shard

  606. long time ago and recently as listened to it and

  607. I'm like, wow, Lord, so much truth and the church

  608. needs to hear it.

  609. You know.

  610. This is why sometimes some people they decide to change church,

  611. or change job, or change because they discourage, you know.

  612. And the problem with discouragement is that.

  613. You need to be encouraged again. You need to get

  614. your confidence again. You know, when you discourage that you

  615. run slower. But when you are encouraged, what happens. You

  616. pick up the pace, you start running faster, you start

  617. believing that it can be done. You start seeing And

  618. this is my last fitness gym example. When we start

  619. the set, there's one set that I don't like. It's

  620. called the Filthy fifties. Ah, yes, it's as filthy as again.

  621. Thing about it if I shouldn't using this example, okay,

  622. but basically it's ten different movements fifty times.

  623. How many movements is that? Five hundred movements?

  624. First one very discouraging, second one still discouraging, third, fourth, fifth.

  625. Six, seven, eight. I think you finished that? Eight? Oh

  626. man more two more nine.

  627. I feel like I want to dieary, But there's one

  628. more set ten nine eight seven sick. Then you you

  629. speed up? You sweet up? Why because you're finished faster?

  630. One?

  631. We're done, I conquered, I overcome. I'm still running. I finished,

  632. and that is the most important. It's not about doing

  633. it fast. It's not about who can behavior is not

  634. but who can run faster? As long as you finish,

  635. that is the most important.

  636. Friends.

  637. I'm just gonna because I need to live already. I

  638. hope you caught something today. I'm going to allow the

  639. extreme band to minister because I really do believe that

  640. the Lord wants to minister to those of you who

  641. are here and my encouragement and I think I reallyase

  642. it to Joe to lead.

  643. But if you are here this.

  644. Morning and you know that you have a way in

  645. your life, or you know that you've been dealing with discouragements.

  646. That's why maybe somebody's here have been dealing with discuragements

  647. even in church. That's why it become cynical. It's a

  648. very dangerous place to be friends.

  649. Don't do that.

  650. Come and be ministered to by the Lord, the leaders

  651. to be here, ready to pray for you.

  652. I know I have to leave, I would love to

  653. be here.

  654. Don't allow the sin to understand you, don't allow the

  655. way to make you better.

  656. Keeping this race because we can run a better race.

  657. Amen.
