You're listening to a message to go from at church.
-
We hope this message will light up your dea.
-
So this is a word that I believe God wants
-
to share with you guys. It's not a new word
-
because this word was something that Passagon approached in twenty eighteen.
-
You know.
-
And if you want the original message, and I encourage
-
you go listen to it as well. You know, hopefully
-
I do a good job. It's called the product of discouragement. Okay,
-
the products and like, oh what's that?
-
Now? Don't worry, you know, we will get through it. Okay.
-
So with really being sensitive of time, I'm just gonna
-
run through scripture. Please turn to Hebrews chapter twelve, verse
-
one two two. Hebrews Chapter twelve, verse one to two.
-
I'm sure by now you would know that our culture
-
is that we bring our Bibles to church.
-
Amen.
-
Only only my wife is supporting me this morning. I
-
know it's very cold, but you know, when you get
-
your lungs, you know, shouting and all, then you might
-
warm up your body a little bit. Okay, So it's
-
our culture domreeon bibles. So let's read Hebrews chapter twelve,
-
verse one. He says here. Therefore we also, since we
-
are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, maybe
-
I get Nick to help me screw this in because
-
I'm worried. There drop again, m by so great a
-
cloud of witnesses. Let us lay aside every weight this part, Yeah,
-
every weight and the sin which so easily and snares,
-
and let us run with endurance the race that is
-
set before us.
-
And we all know this next scripture because we use
-
it all the time.
-
Looking Ato, Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith,
-
who for the joy that was set before him, and
-
they are the cross, despising the shame, and has sat
-
down at the right hand of the throne of God.
-
You know who is Christ? He is the author and
-
finisher of our faith. What does that mean? Let's go
-
deeper into the world. First question I want to ask
-
all of you here, okay, and this time you can
-
answer truthfully. Anyone here run marathons, Just just wave your hand.
-
Run marathons, half marathon, if it's fun, run five kmsto
-
still countered?
-
Okay? Yeah, anyone here or you've run before? I see one? Jamie,
-
what Tony serious? Wow? Tony?
-
Okay, cherylso run marathon. Yeah, well done, Cheryl, and good good.
-
Okay, So.
-
I tried running before, you know, when I wanted to
-
start my health day. I think I share about it
-
before here, and somehow it.
-
Just didn't work.
-
Okay, uh, and I found another way. But whether you
-
run marathons or not, today all of us are running
-
a race. You know, all of us are running this race.
-
And that's what the Bible says. You know, we are
-
running this race. But what race is it? We run
-
every day?
-
Guys?
-
Of course, now you're looking around your neighbor and saying, huh,
-
you also runner. Don't look around, okay, nor around. It
-
is called what it is called a marathon of faith.
-
It's a marathon of faith. It's a race of life.
-
And that's what we're running. That's the race that all
-
of us are running. Whether or not we physically run
-
the race or not, it is a race. It is
-
a faith race, you know that a faith race. We're
-
all running this race. We're all running this race together,
-
especially if you are a believer in Christ. We are
-
running this race. But we're not just supposed to run
-
the race. We should finish it. We should finish this race.
-
Of faith.
-
You know that. You know, when you see people run
-
a race.
-
Of course, now the Olympic, you we cheer the person
-
that wins, you know, and we cheer the person. But
-
when you talk about the race of faith, you just
-
need to finish it. Winning it is finishing it. How
-
many of you like this race? As long as I
-
finish it, I'm done. Huh yeah, as long as I
-
finish the race. Don't halfway, don't halfway ten meters before
-
give up, don't don't one meter before I it is okay. No,
-
I'm hungry now I'm gonna no, no, no, finish the race.
-
Get a finisher T shirt from Jesus. No, he gives
-
you a crown, not a T shirt. You know, finish
-
a race. We need to finish the race. You're you're
-
you know that you'll know that. If you didn't know that,
-
then you hopefully today you'll know that it is a
-
race that of faith that we need to finish. And
-
the Bible teaches us how we should run this race. Okay,
-
let's let's go into it. And it's written the he
-
brows chapter twelve of US one to two. I've got
-
five points here. The first point is we gotta put
-
a side every weight. What what is weight?
-
Right?
-
The next point is put aside the sin we so
-
easily and snarzes. And then it also says, let us
-
run with endurance right, looking ato Jesus the author, and
-
finish off our faith. So we got to look to Jesus. Okay,
-
Number one, put us side every way. Is there anything
-
your life that's weighty or not? It's a bit hard
-
to run when you got waights right, you know, when
-
you're carrying weights. And it talks about scene as well,
-
and we'll go a little bit deeper into it, okay,
-
and it asks it tells us Bible tells us to
-
run with endurance.
-
You know what endurance is?
-
Just basically, I think the last time I shared about endurance,
-
I used to the hand just in a sorry used
-
to be cantonese. Today I don't know. I hope I'm correct. No,
-
my wife is checking it. I never I shouldn't say
-
I say wrong thing. Later, Yeah, I seem to be
-
saying wrong thing. And we're gonna look into Jesus when
-
we run this race. There has to be a focal point.
-
There has to be something you're looking at. There has
-
to be a reference point.
-
It's funny.
-
Just now I was telling doctor Jason what I'm gonna
-
do later for the message. It's like I thought, you
-
promise not to share gym reference city Sorr. Yeah, guys,
-
today one somehow it fits. You gotta have a reference
-
point on where you want to hit, because if you
-
do half, then you will be going everywhere. So we
-
all look to Jesus in this way race of faith,
-
and we gotta run with joy. Where's it return here?
-
We gotta run with joy because you see looking at
-
Jesus the autumn finish our faith who for the joy
-
that was set before him? See Chrisler, he ran this
-
race radio. No, he came already. He was born for
-
thirty years. He just followed his parents and then after
-
that he started ministry three years.
-
Then done deal.
-
He left it to twelve guys and he left, well,
-
not just chelf guys. He left it to twelve that
-
was close to him, but it was more than twelve.
-
And he left and the world was never the same
-
again because he didn't just leave us physically. He did
-
something in the spiritual and that's why we have the
-
Holy Spirit today with us, and that's why we can
-
pray to God. Because those of us who are sinners, right,
-
who our lives are not perfect, we can be connected
-
with God.
-
How wonderful is that?
-
If you're here and you're not a believer, if you're
-
here and you don't know who this Christ is, if
-
you're here and you're thinking that Christianity is just a
-
religion that you practice. I come to church on Sunday.
-
I read my bibe. No, guys, it is a relationship
-
with Christ. I want to encourage all of you here
-
have a relationship with Jesus. Have a relationship, not just
-
follow a set of laws. That's what the Pharisees and
-
setusis did. Jesus came to show that it's about relationship.
-
It's not just about a set of laws and rules.
-
Amen.
-
So friends, let's run this race and let's do it. Well, Amen,
-
I need this group decide, decide? Not sure, guys, can
-
we run this race and finish it? Run this race? Well,
-
let's run this race? Well altogether everyone and see running
-
this raceer? You know you know the thing about running races,
-
he said, they are challenges, no right for some of us,
-
For me as espectually, the challenge to run a race
-
is to wake up in the morning. That's the first
-
challenge to overcome the pillow. Right, it's very tough, very
-
tough on you here. Well done to those of you
-
are here. You overcome the pillow and you here on
-
a Sunday. It's so nice right to sleep in today,
-
nice and cold and raining. Oh my goodness, thank god,
-
tomorrow's holiday. But for those of you who going, it's
-
not really holiday for you. And now I'm just joking, Okay,
-
go enjoy yourself. There are challenges, friends. Do you know
-
what's the greatest challenge to running a race? The greatest
-
challenge is the challenge that stops you from running.
-
Right. Have you seen those races where people run around
-
then they stop halfway.
-
A bit wasted, Right, It's like you're doing so well.
-
Maybe you're not winning, but you were running. Yes, it
-
was tough. You felt like, you know, you want to faint,
-
ready and pass out? Ready, you know you felt that
-
what acid liketed making your you know, but don't stop,
-
Paul says in secon teenty four seven.
-
I fought the good fight. I finished the race. I've
-
kept the faith.
-
But friends, this is something that I also need to
-
share a few that this race that we're running it is.
-
It is not a race for muscles. It is not
-
a race for titles. Oh you know I reach a
-
pastorhood then I no, no, guys, it's not a race
-
for titles. Bishop Cardinal, however, Masha, but no, we follow
-
that track.
-
Do you know that?
-
It's not not a race of promotions as well? You
-
know we work so hard for promotions. Sometimes we work
-
so hard and we don't get the promotion. You get discourage.
-
It's also not a race of who's good looking young people.
-
Let me talk to you here today. However much you
-
do the duck face and take photon selfie, right, you're
-
not running the race that Jesus has in tenner for us.
-
If you feel it, you feel it, Okay, If you
-
don't feel it's fine. It is not a race of
-
who's more good looking. It is also not a race
-
for success.
-
Guys.
-
There's so many books written, how do you be successful?
-
How do you redefine success?
-
How?
-
Guys? This is what the Bible says. Is not what
-
I say, and it's not Pastor Elvins said. It is
-
not my definition. This is the Bible's definition. We are
-
running a race looking into Jesus. Jesus in the eyes
-
of the world was not successful. He was supposed to
-
come and liberate a group of people, but he was
-
hung on the cross.
-
He was punished. He failed, the world thinks.
-
But those of us who know the truth, we knew
-
he succeeded because he won over death and he has
-
given us eternal life. So he didn't fail. But in
-
the eyes of the world he failed. You know that
-
in the eyes of the world he failed. In the
-
eyes of the world, Jesus was just a fairy tale.
-
So much show that Hollyowd uses Jesus name as a
-
swear word. Why of all the different people only need
-
Jesus use as swear word so many other words to use, right,
-
think about it. The world is against him.
-
And the world will be against you. That's what the
-
Bible says.
-
Really, because if we run this race looking to Christ,
-
then you will get challenges. You will get problems because
-
you are running this race. So don't be surprised when
-
you run this race you got a problem. Suddenly have
-
to do forty five degree incline. Forty five degrees quite higher,
-
maybe five degree incline of fifteen degree incline. You're for
-
those you who know you know what I'm talking about.
-
The more inclined, the harder. It is a race of faith.
-
Friends.
-
In a physical race, the weight, So we talk about
-
the weight first point weight, so it says put aside
-
every week. So you know when you run a race.
-
How many of you know that when you run a
-
and you carry your laptop back, you're gonna be less effective.
-
Some of you your laptop back is rare heavy. Right
-
when you're carrying your school bag and you're you know
-
it's gonna be when you're running a race.
-
Do you think you carry all day?
-
Noah?
-
You will you remove the weight?
-
Right, So, in a physical race, the weight often refers
-
to stuff on the outside, stuff that you can remove,
-
right if you watch I remember seeing this documentary about
-
how they were trying to shave off seconds seconds, No
-
shave off seconds from the runners or wear the aerodynamic
-
you know, and then basically don't wear anything heavy. Maybe
-
the shoe or so is light. How many of you
-
light light shoes? Running shoes all light on?
-
Right? If you got heavy running shoes mean something is
-
wrong in the la.
-
Right, So for a runner, a coach would checked he
-
would check all the items like the shoes, the clothing,
-
any other weight I can shave off. Don't wear your
-
Apple watch because you need to run. Any form of
-
weight removed. So, friends, are there weights in your life?
-
But you know that's a physical race. Remember why it
-
said it was it's a race of faith, you know,
-
a race of faith. The thing about a race of
-
faith when you talk about weights, right, it is stuff
-
on the inside.
-
It's stuff on the inside.
-
That weighs you down, not the outside physical you can
-
see outside.
-
Hey, why are you carrying the laptop back? Remove it right?
-
Then you won't be ever run. But in a spiritual race, friends,
-
the weight is on the inside. It cannot be seen
-
by the natural eye. You might look happy, Hey, hallelujah,
-
praised the Lord.
-
Amen.
-
You know we do not say the right thing. But
-
in the insight, it's weighing you down. It's insight, it's
-
weighing you down. That's why it's so deceiving. Don't you
-
think so?
-
It is? It is so deceiving. That's why the Bible
-
says it's so easily and stances.
-
Why is it easily? And because it's happening to us
-
without even us knowing, you know, sometimes it does. It's
-
happening to our family without even us knowing. We think
-
everything is fine as long as they continue doing the thing.
-
It creeps in slowly and by the time you realize it,
-
it's done its job. Some of you might not even
-
realize it what that way is. So the Bible shares
-
about two things that can stop us, right, and I
-
want to give you a message illustration. There are two
-
things that can stop us.
-
Okay, yeah, there.
-
Are two things that can stop us. Can you see it? Wait,
-
it's very heavy, you know. No, no, no, it's tan kg
-
and e okay, no, I cannot. I cannot do fifteen
-
it's too heavy. Imagine if I'm running with this weight.
-
It's so hard, right, how do I run? It's tough?
-
If we read Hebrews. So let's can we study the
-
Bible a little bit so that we can run this
-
race better?
-
Can or not?
-
Can you guys follow me right as we study a
-
little bit too and be a bit aware.
-
So the Bible says there are two things I can
-
stop us.
-
One is the way and one more is the sin.
-
He didn't see the Bible didn't say sins, No, say sin.
-
One sin can stop us from running this race. Friends,
-
let's talk about a wait first, what is the weight
-
that you need to put aside this morning so they
-
can run better? Is it the weight of self lack
-
of self image, lack of self confidence? Do you have
-
the weight of like I must make everybody happy? All
-
these things are heavy? You know heavy? Okay, that's the way.
-
What is the weight in your life? And the thing
-
about weight is that different people, different weights that you're carrying.
-
That's causing you to behavior when you run. That's why
-
it's hard to run. That's why it's hard to run
-
this race. That's why it's hard to be committed, because
-
there's a weight. My hand's hurt thing even as I'm
-
carrying it's gonna put it down. The second thing that
-
weighs us down is the sin that's so easily and
-
snares us. What is this scene? Let's read the Bible
-
and find out what this sin is. Okay, we find
-
out and studied Why why study the Bible? Because I
-
can't just be telling you what I think. You know,
-
it's really had to be from scripture. And we're going
-
to take the context of this scene that stops you
-
from running and stops you and me from running well
-
from the Bible itself, from this chapter itself, because when
-
the writer writes it's very specific. Amen, what does he
-
mean when he wrote sin Let's read on her verse
-
three to six. For consider him who endured such hostility
-
from sinner. So he's talking about Jesus. Now run this race.
-
Look to Jesus. Jesus he is the author and finish
-
of our faith for the joy of you know what.
-
Was said before him.
-
He saw it, He saw the joy, he was chasing
-
after the joy, He endured the cross, he despised the shame,
-
and then he was given to be sitting down at
-
the right hand of the throne of God. So we
-
know what happened in the end, and we who are
-
running strace, we've got to consider him. He endured such
-
hostility from sinners again himself. Are you having challenges in
-
your workplace? Are you having challenges to people who do
-
not Christ? Yet, don't be surprised. Jesus so went through it.
-
Lets you become wary and discouraged in your souls. Wow,
-
I think it's the answer is here. For consider him
-
who endures such hostility from sinners against himself lest you become.
-
Wary and discouraged in your souls. Let's read on.
-
You have not yet resisted to bloodshed striving against sin,
-
and you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you
-
as sons. My son, do not despise the chestening of
-
the Lord, nor be the discourage when you are rebuked
-
by him. For whom the Lord loves, he chastens and
-
schoorges every son whom he receives. The Bible wants us
-
that we can become wary. And if the weight wearies
-
you down, then what is the sin.
-
Thanks ing? The sin.
-
Is discouragement. How come you say the scenes describing me?
-
You're sure not? Discussion is a scene?
-
Man? Let me ask you a simple question. How many
-
are here? Never been discouraged? On?
-
Can you raise up your hands? You've never been discouraged.
-
You've always been encouraged, always pushing forward. You've never been
-
discouraged in your life. You know when you're discouraged? Right,
-
and in different ones, say you can answer me when
-
you are discouraged. The last time you were discouraged, how
-
do you feel?
-
You felt like you felt light? Why nobody answering me?
-
You on? You want not answer.
-
Right, you felt like throwing the towel wall, very very poetic.
-
You felt like you discussion.
-
You felt like.
-
Only Adrian felt like giving up. Everyone here don't feel
-
like giving up?
-
Right?
-
Are you guys who care? Not? Good morning? Everybody?
-
Am I speaking to people? Or am I speaking to
-
the wall? What do you feel like when you're discouraged?
-
Is that true? You feel lousy?
-
Yeah? But you felt like giving up? Right?
-
You felt like throwing the towel right, the last time
-
you were discouraged? Let me ask you another question. The
-
last time you were discouraged in whatever manner, did you
-
not slow down? If we were running this race the
-
last time you were discouraged, did you not slow down?
-
Did you not feel like giving up? And?
-
For some hours here did we not stop? I say
-
we because I also been there. I have been discouraged
-
many times, and when I feel discouraged, I feel like
-
giving up. Many times. I don't feel like moving faster
-
when I'm discouraged. You know, I think it'd be something
-
wrong with me. You know, discouragement can slow you down.
-
You can.
-
And dangerously it can also cause you to stop running
-
when you discourage. Maybe last time, when you came to
-
the church. First time, you were early, but after a
-
while becomes later and later and later. Maybe when we started,
-
we were passionate. You know, that's the wonderful thing about
-
being young, passionate. Let's go out, come on all the way.
-
And then one person says something that discourages es us,
-
and then suddenly our parents say something that discourages and
-
then suddenly something happened, and then Sunday this happened, and
-
Sunday that happened, and Sunday everything happened. It's okay, let
-
me store down. I am getting older. You know your
-
lingo changes when you discourage. Last time is can one?
-
Everything? Can one? We can do it.
-
Come on, let's believe. Then now suddenly know huh again again?
-
How many times it e? How many times are every heavy?
-
Lah?
-
This thing very heavy? Very heavy? It is really hey, guys, don't.
-
Put it down. Friends, we are running this race of faith.
-
Do we not forget.
-
Faith in what faith in giving, faith in coming for service,
-
faith in praying, praying for the sake. How many of
-
you first time when you knew that and understood the
-
revelation that when you pray for the sick, they will
-
get healed, and you're so excited, but after a few discouragements,
-
you akela in God's timing, you know we use system
-
in God's timing.
-
When God really speak to me, and yeah, I do it?
-
No, no, where in the Bible I read now when
-
God speak to you and you you pray for the sick,
-
No way I read. In fact, he says, pray for
-
the sick, and some things you have to fast and pray.
-
Some things you have to ask the elders to come
-
and annoint and pray. Know where the Bible, friends, we
-
are running strays of faith, you know, some of us
-
here we are running even though we don't see any signs.
-
Let me try and go deeper in this point.
-
You don't see any signs, but you've been running are
-
You've been running and believing us for many many years.
-
Ready, but you don't see any signs.
-
You need to hear testimonies, and you're stilling courage by
-
the testimony is and you continue to believe.
-
Is it happening? No, there's no.
-
In gym terms, they say no games yet nothing happening.
-
But why are you still going to the gym? Why
-
are you still be living? Why is you coming to church.
-
Nothing is happening yet. Do you see the difference? Because
-
it is a race of faith. You're acting in faith
-
when you don't see it in science, and you still come.
-
You're acting in faith when you still decline even though
-
it has not happened yet. But the moment discouragement says in.
-
Sure not sure not?
-
Uh?
-
You see the difference.
-
Faith causes you to keep running, but discouragement would stop
-
you or slow you down from running. There you guys, okay,
-
So how do we overcome discouragement?
-
Friends? How do we overcome this? The Bible teaches us
-
that right, first point is.
-
Looking until Jesus the author, and finish off our faith.
-
I know there are a lot of solutions out there.
-
Oh go take a break, go and talk to change
-
your environment.
-
Right, that's what people advise. Friends.
-
I give you one solution. Look to Jesus. He was discouraged,
-
he was down. He's a race of Faithor let's remember
-
that again. Why look to Jesus because maybe someone's here.
-
I'll be looking at men all this while. Did men
-
die for you? Or did God die for you? Who
-
is your reference point?
-
See? Men died for you?
-
And then fine, look at menla but I don't think
-
men die for you. Your boss didn't die for you, your
-
parents didn't die for you, for your sines. I mean, okay,
-
your best friend didn't die for Since Jesus did, then
-
why can't we look at him? We got to keep
-
our eyes on him when we're running this race of faith.
-
Sometimes we keep our eyes on the wrong thing. Keep
-
our eyes on what's happening right now in the church scene.
-
Keep our eyes on friends. Can I admit to you
-
here I will make mistakes this morning or so go,
-
Some drama happened that I made a mistake, and I
-
apologize for it. I'm human, So please don't look at me.
-
I'll fail you. Let's all look to Jesus.
-
Amen. Sometimes we look at the wrong things. That's why
-
we get discouraged.
-
We get discouraged, and we you know who wins or not.
-
When you guys don't run the race, you don't win.
-
The devil wins.
-
Another one bites the dust race that was started because
-
of who Christ.
-
He was the one that started this race, and we
-
are continuing this race because of him. No other reason,
-
isn't it right? No other reason, friends, no other reason
-
but Christ. So our eyes need to be upon him,
-
looking unto Jesus, the author and finish of faith, who
-
for the joy that was set before him, and dealed
-
the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at
-
the right hand of the throne of God. Are you
-
guys okay, let me give you another truth. Okay, I
-
see goda be all time, and I'll try to rush this.
-
This gurish man has another word. Do you know that
-
I can I show you? Okay, maybe I read the
-
scripture first and see whe they can catch it. This
-
garish man has another word, And I'm gonna be reading
-
from Hero for six. For whom the Lord loves, he
-
chastens and schorges every son whom he receives. If you
-
end your chestening, God deals with you as with sons.
-
For what son is there whom a father does not
-
chasten chasaman's discipline? Now, okay, But if you are without chestening,
-
of which become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore,
-
we are bad if we have had human fathers who
-
correct us, corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall
-
we not much more readily be in subjucation to the
-
Father of the spirits and life for they. Indeed, for
-
a few days chasten us as seem best to them,
-
but he for our profit that we may be partakers
-
of His holiness. Now no chestening seems to be joyful
-
for the present, but painful. Nevertheless, afterward, it yields the
-
peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained
-
by it. Discourage Man has another word.
-
Friends.
-
We might not like to hear this, but discourage man
-
has a word. And the other word that I want
-
to introduce to you is disciplined. Huh you mean when
-
I'm discouraged, I'm being disciplined by God.
-
I don't know. I'm not saying you know.
-
I'm just saying that there's another possible word that became
-
used when we talk about discouragement, discipline.
-
If you die.
-
If you guys don't like the word discipline, let me
-
give you another word from Biblah. Training. Training. Training is painful, right,
-
but God wants to train us. That's what the chapter says.
-
It says, first, lay aside every way, right, lay a
-
side every way. And the sin that easily and stands
-
wor scene is discouragement. Because when we don't lay the side,
-
we will get affected by it. But you see what
-
happens that causes you to discouraged? Said, I am nice
-
things that are heavy, right, it's weird, it's heavy, it's
-
heavy to run. But if you change discouragement into discipline
-
and training, then don't you think after a while you
-
can carry it? You can carry it discouragement? What happens
-
if I continue to do these friends, I will be
-
a gym bro buff hands right? Don't you think this
-
is training or very heavier? But I'm gonna train lord behavior,
-
We're gonna train well ware discouraging, I'm gonna train. I'm
-
gonna train friends. Can I give you this statement? If
-
you are not following me what I'm trying to tell you,
-
I I Elvin King am a product of all my discouragements.
-
Oh my pa ask discouragements and maybe future you here
-
sitting down here are a product of all your discouragements.
-
You either choose to take all your discouragements and become bitter,
-
or you take on the discouragement and you choose to
-
make it better. You'll catch that you can avoid diskaris
-
mans friends, you cannot avoids when it comes, you look
-
to Christ or you respond when it comes you look
-
to Christ and then what do you do? Because you
-
still have the discouragement? Right, you can choose to respond
-
to the discouragement. If I had a hundred or maybe
-
a thousand disgaragements in the past forty years of my
-
life from young until now, my response to every single
-
discarage man makes me who I am today?
-
Is that correct or not?
-
My response to every single discaragh man mikes me who
-
I am today?
-
Isn't it correct? Right?
-
Do we respond or react? If we keep reacting to
-
these garage mans? That is where we are today. Con
-
That's why we are all products of our discourage man.
-
Whether we like it or not, we are. But what
-
is the difference? We can choose to respond for better
-
or for worse. Friends, we are product of discurage. I
-
cannot come in and tell you all, let's have all
-
positive thinking. Okay, when dis garish man come, no friends,
-
dis garage man will come. The only question is are
-
you gonna allow it to ensnare you or are you
-
gonna start training? Are you gonna start training or just
-
let it weigh you down? Ah savila, ah savy. But
-
you see, once you train with tank a g Before this,
-
I cannot do this. No, I can actually do fifteen,
-
but I started with five.
-
In January.
-
When you respond to discourage man, then you move forward,
-
and then when another one comes and then move forward.
-
But where are you looking, Jesus? Why?
-
Because this is a race of faith and we want
-
everyone here to finish. So friends, let's finish. Can we finish?
-
Let's finish? There's another thing that keeps us from Running's endurance.
-
When do you need to endure when there is paining? Friends,
-
when you're having fun time, don't need to enduana? How
-
many of you all? I mean enduring. I'm having such
-
a good time. I'm enduring.
-
None of you here say that none of you here
-
will endure your holiday?
-
Right?
-
None of you here will? And you're a nice will
-
fay and during I cannot take it? I usually eat,
-
But then none of you here. Maybe some will end
-
your ice cream? Do you and your ice cream? I
-
mean not against it where you're eating it? La right,
-
none of us here. But when it's painful, we need
-
to endure. When we am the diskyish man, we need
-
to endure. When we go to tough times, we endure,
-
and dis garish man can come from anywhere.
-
Some of you here.
-
I hope you're not disguision with this message to day
-
and you'll be encouraged. It might be a word from
-
a person, it might be a situation you experience, but friends,
-
can I encourage you Whether you like it or not,
-
You're a product of your discouragements. My encouragement is respond
-
and make it better. Respond and train.
-
Amen.
-
This is a revelation that passed the kind of shard
-
long time ago and recently as listened to it and
-
I'm like, wow, Lord, so much truth and the church
-
needs to hear it.
-
You know.
-
This is why sometimes some people they decide to change church,
-
or change job, or change because they discourage, you know.
-
And the problem with discouragement is that.
-
You need to be encouraged again. You need to get
-
your confidence again. You know, when you discourage that you
-
run slower. But when you are encouraged, what happens. You
-
pick up the pace, you start running faster, you start
-
believing that it can be done. You start seeing And
-
this is my last fitness gym example. When we start
-
the set, there's one set that I don't like. It's
-
called the Filthy fifties. Ah, yes, it's as filthy as again.
-
Thing about it if I shouldn't using this example, okay,
-
but basically it's ten different movements fifty times.
-
How many movements is that? Five hundred movements?
-
First one very discouraging, second one still discouraging, third, fourth, fifth.
-
Six, seven, eight. I think you finished that? Eight? Oh
-
man more two more nine.
-
I feel like I want to dieary, But there's one
-
more set ten nine eight seven sick. Then you you
-
speed up? You sweet up? Why because you're finished faster?
-
One?
-
We're done, I conquered, I overcome. I'm still running. I finished,
-
and that is the most important. It's not about doing
-
it fast. It's not about who can behavior is not
-
but who can run faster? As long as you finish,
-
that is the most important.
-
Friends.
-
I'm just gonna because I need to live already. I
-
hope you caught something today. I'm going to allow the
-
extreme band to minister because I really do believe that
-
the Lord wants to minister to those of you who
-
are here and my encouragement and I think I reallyase
-
it to Joe to lead.
-
But if you are here this.
-
Morning and you know that you have a way in
-
your life, or you know that you've been dealing with discouragements.
-
That's why maybe somebody's here have been dealing with discuragements
-
even in church. That's why it become cynical. It's a
-
very dangerous place to be friends.
-
Don't do that.
-
Come and be ministered to by the Lord, the leaders
-
to be here, ready to pray for you.
-
I know I have to leave, I would love to
-
be here.
-
Don't allow the sin to understand you, don't allow the
-
way to make you better.
-
Keeping this race because we can run a better race.
-
Amen.
