You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your team.
-
Do you all know the team for this year our church?
-
You know, every year every church got team one like
-
or that's a team. Some is disciple sheep that I
-
remember last time when my old church we have this
-
thing called chiros is the chiros moment. You know, old
-
school as all these words to you know, that sounds
-
very cool, but actually when you hear it, you're like, man,
-
very old school and our team this year? Anybody can say,
-
what's our team this year? I can see that you guys,
-
hear it until you're really that's what you're saying it
-
that way? Yes, that all may know, Okay, that all
-
may know that Jesus Christ is Lord.
-
Amen. Only some of you believe in it? Okay? Are
-
you guys not excited to be believers? Hey?
-
Friends, I know the world is tough, I know life
-
is hard. I know things sometimes can feel down. But
-
isn't it exciting to follow Jesus? Isn't it exciting to follow?
-
You know, our savior, the King of kings and the
-
Lord of lords, the one that died on the crossfall.
-
Since you know if you don't feel excited following Jesus,
-
I think I just think you have not fully experienced
-
him yet.
-
I'm excited to follow Jesus, you know.
-
And sometimes I have to remind myself that being a
-
Christian is not just being called you know, even that's
-
you know, even in that word Christian little Christ. Again,
-
it was used as a derogatory term. People look down
-
on Christians. They say, hah yo, look like this guy
-
named Jesus died, you know, and you'll say he wrotes
-
from the day that was given and then don't know
-
why we claim it or Christian. I'm a Christian. Actually
-
it's a derogatory you know. That was used last time.
-
Have you fully experienced Christ on it? I think that's
-
a question I asked all of you this morning. Have
-
you fully experienced Jesus Christ.
-
A Lot and Savior?
-
Because it is not just a title, It is not
-
just I'm born in the Christian family. If you're if
-
that is your experience, I feel sad for you because
-
then you've not fully experienced Christ. I believe a lot
-
of you here would have experienced Christ. You know what
-
I mean by experienced Christ? You know, I know my
-
good friend, Cheryl. Uh and uh, you know we go
-
way back, okay, way back from a ya days, you know,
-
and now she's big time that then in some Telcot
-
company you know, left us you know the rest of
-
us now joking Cheryl. You ask her for her testimony,
-
ask her about her testimony, right, and you will know
-
that she knows who Christ is. How many of us
-
can have that confidence? I know who my Lord is,
-
I know who Jesus Christ is. My encouragement for us
-
this morning is that please know who Christ is. Don't
-
live on another person's testimony. Don't live on Passelving doctor
-
Jason Cheryl's testimony. Live on your own testimony. Why do
-
Christians get easily sweet? It's because you're not fully convinced.
-
And again it's not your fault. At the end the day,
-
someone us here. We are young believers. We're young Christians.
-
You know, some was here became a Christian because we
-
experienced Christ. You know, we experience how God moved in
-
our lives. And that's amazing, right. But I just want
-
to you know, as I'm preparing the word this week,
-
and as I'm thinking about the team, you know, sometimes
-
we can come to church every year, and it's another
-
team yala about witnessing again, a yala you know, church,
-
want us to give again, one of those, want us
-
to go missions again, want us to plan the homes again?
-
Want to plan a church again? Friends, Experience Jesus.
-
All that we do, all that we do, it is
-
an expression of our love for Christ. All that we
-
do it is our understanding and relationship with Jesus. And
-
if we fully know him, if we fully love him,
-
then we probably won't complain.
-
Then we probably won't have issue with different things. But
-
if we do not know.
-
Him, or if we don't realize who He is in
-
our lives, no wonder we can say things we don't
-
actually would mean if you know so, I just want
-
to challenge us this morning. Experience Jesus. It is so
-
exciting to know who God is. It is so wonderful,
-
you know. Just now I read Isaiah chapter nine, verse six.
-
Wonderful counselor Prince of Peace. Such an amazing person to meet. Yeah,
-
but pass away. I cannot see him. You know, he
-
looks like a hippie. Right, that's the picture that they had.
-
Do you know that Jesus normal? He looks so normal? No, right,
-
that you can pass him by one if you were there.
-
That's what it was joking. Oh you know, I wish
-
I could see Jesus, do you You might have missed him.
-
You might have missed him because he looks like any
-
other person, nothing special about him, not handsome, not impressionable.
-
But when he speaks, he has the words of eternal life.
-
So my encouragement this morning, friends is that we got
-
to experience Jesus.
-
Amen.
-
You got to have that desire to experience Christ, right,
-
and I pray that you will experience Christ because then
-
you have your own testimony, then you have your own
-
life experience.
-
Then you will know who Jesus is.
-
Then you will not come to a place where you
-
deny him because you know he's real in your life.
-
Amen.
-
So the title of my message this morning and don't
-
ray is in relation to what I just shared with us,
-
is that they may see your good works and glorify
-
your father in heaven.
-
Matthiel chapter five, verse sixteen.
-
It says, let your light so shine before men, that
-
they may see your good works and glorify your father
-
in heaven. So this year, our team is that all
-
may know you know, and the thing is how do
-
people know if you don't show them, they won't. You know,
-
as I'm reading the scriptures, the way Jesus showed them
-
the way to live was that he really showed them
-
the way to live. He walked with the disciples, He
-
hung out with the disciples, right that they may see
-
your good works and glorify your father in heaven. So, friends,
-
I have a question when people see you and your works.
-
Of course, the first question is I hope it's good work, lack?
-
And when I said, go, I'm not talking about charity,
-
you know, friends, I'm talking about the work.
-
The work you put.
-
Up, whether you're a student, whether you're a worker, it
-
is good work.
-
Right? First that and then who do they give credit to? Who?
-
Or Daniel? You're such an awesome person.
-
Man, you're such a wonderful uh you know blank analyst,
-
financial analysts? Right, you must work really hard for it. Right,
-
who do they glorify? Or I guess who do you
-
glorify at the end of the day. Okay, let's read
-
Script Mathew, chapter five, verse thirteen to sixteen. And just
-
for fun, we're gonna do something a little bit different
-
this morning. I'm gonna get you, guys, to read scripture. Okay,
-
hope you brought your bible. Okay, menth you Chapter five,
-
verse sixteen to seventeen. Right, and I'm gonna get doctor
-
Jason with his wonderful lecturer voice to read for us
-
this morning. Mean's so happy. It's the voice she hears
-
and weeks every morning. Good morning, dear right you scripture scripture.
-
Yes you are the salt thought the ears. But if
-
salt has lost its taste, how shall it salt in
-
us be restored? And it is no longer good for
-
anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
-
That's verse thirteen all the way sixteen, Oh, you are
-
the light of the world. A city set on a
-
hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamb
-
and put it under a basket. But understand, and it
-
gives light to all in a house. In the same way,
-
let your light shine before others, so that they may
-
see your good works and give flory to your father
-
who is in heaven.
-
So it is what the Bible says, It's not what
-
passe Alvin says. Are I think what the Bible says
-
we need to take heart to it. Can I encourage
-
us here. Let us stop listening to the opinions of
-
men and start listening to the word of God. Let
-
us stop relying on the interpretation of men on how
-
a scripture should look like.
-
And then don't dinner.
-
We clarify and say, oh, we don't have to follow
-
this because some pastor said something and he interprets. Guys
-
read the Bible. Some things in the Bible are super literal.
-
Let your how do you want to reinterpret it? Let
-
your light so shine before men so that they may
-
see or goers and glorify your father in heaven. Isn't
-
that literal enough? Oh no, no, no, no, no, you know
-
passe alwen you say light shine. You know I need
-
to shine my light like a diamond, right and I'm
-
here Joint American idol. Then when we become famous and
-
that can go on stage and receive the war and say,
-
oh Jesus is friends, big things like that. Now, don't
-
touch hats on you know what touch hats? When if
-
one on one conversations to people, remember the milestones in
-
your own life.
-
Think about it.
-
Is it something that came from the stage, or was
-
it a conversation with someone your mom, your dad always
-
a milestones.
-
We remember. It is always in the small and never
-
the big, But then we all pursue the big.
-
It is always that pivotal inspirational conversation, whether with someone
-
or maybe we've got in our room in the quiet,
-
that we remember until today. It is never the why
-
I remember this person and very famous, but somehow human
-
beings we chase after those things. Do not be deceaved. Friends, Amen,
-
So what is our intention when we do good? Let's
-
have a heart check. Can we have a hard check
-
this morning? Matthew Chapter six, verse one to four. Because
-
as is a teacher here, No, not not teacher, but
-
she's gifted as a teacher. She's doing something else now,
-
counselor right counselor like Jesus, can you read me too?
-
Chapter six, us on to four.
-
Matthew six one two four. Take here that you do
-
not do your charitable deeds before men to be seen
-
by them, Otherwise you have no reward from your father
-
in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do
-
not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do
-
in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may
-
have glory from men. Assuredly. I say to you, they
-
have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed,
-
do not let your left hand know what your right
-
hand is doing. That your charitable deed may be in secret,
-
and your father, who sees in secret, will himself reward
-
you openly.
-
Amen. God bless the reading of the word.
-
So this scripture, of course, when we read now, and
-
especially if you're Asian, right, Asians have a tendency.
-
To read things and go according to duty.
-
Means when I do good, I cannot show everybody so
-
that people want that action by friends. As I read these,
-
remember I don't know that you guys remember the first
-
time I shared about giving God our best.
-
It is about the heart.
-
It is always about the heart, because when you address
-
the issues of the heart, everything settles. I think there's
-
a scripture that says out of the issues of what,
-
out of the issues of the of bundance of the heart,
-
issues of I flow out from it, right right, So
-
thanks so much, migan.
-
So it's about the heart.
-
So when there is a scripture like this, Jesus teaches
-
us to do good deeds unto God and not unto men.
-
Okay, or because God wants all the glory.
-
Well, yes he wants all the glory, but why he
-
teaches us to do it in secret and not both
-
state okay?
-
And he also assures us that our father in heaven
-
sees it.
-
You know, sometimes when you do something good and you
-
don't get the credit, you feel it on you work
-
so hard and you don't get the credit. Do you
-
know that your father and haven't sees it. You don't
-
have to prove your boss anything, you know, because even
-
the Bible says work unto the Lord. See, do we
-
even know that God is there? Sometimes sometimes we live
-
our lives we don't realize that God is actually there. Know,
-
we think that our boss is God. Well, some companies
-
are like that. Can I introduce you to someone that's
-
greater than your boss, someone that said he's the king
-
of kings and a lot of lords.
-
But then why do we live life under under bondage?
-
And it's not a real bondage, No, it's a mental
-
bondage that we are subject to men, no, no, no friends.
-
The only subject we ask is to God. So we
-
do it unto him. But there is an assurance that
-
our father in heaven sees it. He sees it all
-
your pain, all your trouble, your stress, all your stress
-
that's brought to by your friends, your family, your you know,
-
loved one.
-
God sees. God sees this morning the pain you're going through,
-
and he loves you, and he wants the best for you,
-
and he wants to help you, and he will reward
-
you openly. When I read this, you know what I catch?
-
I catch that Jesus is basically guarding us against pride.
-
Do you know that pride is a sin? You know?
-
We can look at it very different.
-
Oh, God wants all the all the glory, and you know,
-
oh it's all me.
-
God asks me to be humble, and I need to
-
be lowly. If I'm a pastor, I must be poor.
-
How many of you have that perception?
-
No pastor must be poor and couse he serves the Lord,
-
cause if he's rich, something is wrong. Are we so
-
small minded? Aren't I a child of God?
-
Like you'll?
-
I'm not saying your thing like that of Mila? But
-
aren't I a child of God? Don't you think God
-
has promises for me of abandon? Why must we be
-
so small minded? But what is God guarding me? He's
-
not guarding me against riches, because honestly, right, God is
-
the owner of a kett of a thousand years, can
-
give you whatever you want, but he's more concerned with
-
your heart.
-
So he's guarding us against pride.
-
Friends, when we are called to be humble, he's guiding
-
us against pride, because you know how pride can cause
-
you to not rely on him thinking that you are God.
-
And then after that what happens. We suffer because the
-
devil has us in his hands, so he gads us
-
against pride when we are doing things like this. Let's
-
take heat of the world of Christ. Amen, Let's take
-
heat of that he gathers us against against pride. Man Deil,
-
chapter six, verse five to seven. I'm gonna get Calvin
-
to read, okay.
-
And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites,
-
for the love to pray standing in the sinner on
-
the corners of the street, and that they may be
-
seen by men. Surely, I say to you, they have
-
their reward. But but you, when you go pray, go
-
into your room, and when you have shut your dog,
-
pray to your father who's in the secret place. And
-
your father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly,
-
and when you pray, do not use fain repetitions as
-
the haytn't do for dating that they will be hurt
-
for their many words.
-
Thank you so much, Calvin, see even in prayer, you know.
-
And of course we can go back and orse is
-
talking about phariseesla you know. But why why so specifically
-
right this? But because we can get there?
-
Do you know that? Do you know that we can do?
-
You know what I can get there.
-
That's why I always remind myself that the poopye is
-
not mine.
-
I'm and trusted with it.
-
That this church doesn't belong to pass Alvin, And sometimes
-
I have to remind leaders here people don't belong to us.
-
People belong to the Lord.
-
So whatever people do as sometimes they can be used
-
the word misbehaving.
-
Right, I can't do anything right. I can prayer for them,
-
but they belong to the Lord. Right. And I shouldn't
-
be prideful. I shouldn't say, oh no I built No,
-
I didn't build this church.
-
God build this church. Yes I worked hard for it,
-
Yes I was faithful. Yes I've been here for a
-
twelve years. Yes, I sacrifice some holidays, you know, in
-
my family because you know, easier. You don't want to
-
arrange holiday during the you know, like dipa valley and
-
then you go on a Sunday. But I'm committed, so
-
I'm here. We have to make difficult decisions, you know,
-
first year, first year, no, second year, second year XPJ.
-
My wife was pregnant, Praise the Lord, right, but that
-
also means that we have a newborn baby. You know
-
how early we came to just last time a seven
-
am men. See, I'm not saying this to boast to
-
you know, I'm just telling you that we had to
-
pay the price now and I can still stand here
-
and tell.
-
You that I don't own this church. I'm just called
-
to serve. Pride is dangerous, friends, and God wants us
-
together even in prayer, even in ministry.
-
Are we so prideful? Or can we come under submission?
-
Or this leader don't know what they're talking about?
-
Lah?
-
No, friends, the leader paid the price. The person paid
-
the price. Your harder leader paid the price. You know,
-
your parents pay the price. Why can't we humble ourselves
-
under their authority? And if really the person is not there,
-
remember it said God is still hate.
-
If really the person is misbehaving, and you are suffering
-
under that, don't worry God or remove the leadership. You
-
don't have to do anything one. If you don't believe me,
-
go and read King David's life. He was under leadership
-
that wanted to kill him, you know. And yet to
-
the day where the leadership died, King Saul died, he
-
still honored him because he recognized that King Saul was
-
God's anointed. So what the Bible says, friends? So what
-
the Bible says, right even in prayer and how we
-
conduct ourselves in front of us, the glory is not
-
ours but towards the Lord. What does the Bible teach us?
-
The Bible teaches us that we need to have an
-
understanding and perspective that God is sovereign. I wonder how
-
many of us remember that God is sovereign, Not me,
-
not the pastor not the church.
-
God is sovereign, and we're all under God. He is sovereign. Amen.
-
That also means, friends, the good news is God being sovereign.
-
Also means no matter how the market looks like, no
-
matter how your job looks like, no matter how your
-
family looks like, no matter how Malaysia looks like. Malaysia
-
is awesome country. By the way, no.
-
Matter how the world looks like or everything's going on
-
in the dy, no matter what the news says. Friends,
-
God is in control always.
-
Do we believe it? Do we believe it? You know
-
how we believe it? Your speech, your conduct? You're worried?
-
What do you believe in? Friends? God is sovereign. That's
-
what the Bible teaches us. So it's either you believe
-
the Bible you don't believe the Bible. Amen.
-
Right, God is sovereign. He is in control. And can
-
I teach you something that I learned from Pastor? He
-
taught all the leadership during the pandemic, when it was
-
crazy and we were going.
-
Through a tough time. He taught us this.
-
Right, Pascuna reminded us to go back to Jesus, and you're.
-
Not Jesus taught us.
-
Jesus taught us how to pray. So let's break down
-
the Lord's Prayer. Are guys getting something out of race?
-
The Lord's Prayer?
-
Matthew Chapter six, verse nine to thirteen. And I want
-
us to read this together. I want us to pray
-
this together. Ai, guys ready, I'm going to use King
-
James version okay. And if you're using the same Bible
-
as me, is page number eight hundred and fifty three.
-
So let's read together, okay, the Lord's Prayer. It says
-
this in this manner, therefore pray. Come on, let's read together.
-
Our Father in Heaven. Hello, it be your name, your Kingdom.
-
Come. Your will be done on earth as it is
-
in heaven.
-
Give us this day our daily break, and forgive us
-
our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not
-
lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
-
For yours is the Kingdom and the power and the
-
glory forever.
-
Amen. Amen. How many of you pray this prayer on
-
the daily basis? Some do? Right? Friends? Can I encourage you?
-
All of us should pray this prayer on the daily basis.
-
Let me tell you the why, oh, because I need
-
all of you to be devout Christians that you know
-
the Lords Prayer. No, no, no, no, Friends, Praying the Lord's
-
Prayer helps you to have the right perspective in your life.
-
I'll tell you why. Let me give you the why
-
real quickly. Okay.
-
Our Father in Heaven, first line, God is there. He
-
is your father and he's in heaven. Hello, it be
-
your name. You're know what that means. His name is holy,
-
he has authority.
-
You're catching. This is not you're catching. You know.
-
I know when Passacona thought the leadership this. I pray
-
every day and really help me because every morning reader
-
and looking at the news, I remind myself God, you
-
are my father in heaven. You are holy, Your kingdom, Come,
-
your will be done. It is your kingdom, not my kingdom,
-
not the world' king Your kingdom, not whoever that's ruling
-
our country kingdom, not whoever that's ruling the world kingdom.
-
It's your kingdom, your kingdom. Come, your will be done.
-
It is God's will that will be done on this earth,
-
not my will, not the will of people above me.
-
God's will, not my boss's will. Right, God's will on
-
earth as it is in heaven. Why is this important?
-
Oh?
-
God, your so far away are? You don't know what
-
I'm going through. God's will be done on earth. His
-
will is done on earth. What is God's will for
-
your life? Big question?
-
Why did God bring you to XPJ? Another big question?
-
Whose will be done? Your will or God's will? Right?
-
Give us this day out deliberate. I love this line.
-
Why he talks about God's providence. He'll provide for you, friends,
-
He'll provide for you. Do you know that if you're
-
a child of God, he will never leave you high
-
and right?
-
Trust me.
-
Sometimes it reaches very closely, but my bank act has
-
never been zero. And the Lord provides. And yes, it's
-
sometimes difficult because as human beings and we grow up
-
we need as well. We say, you don't work hard,
-
you don't earn, which is truer in reaping.
-
But it is also true that God will take care
-
of you.
-
And no matter how difficult the situation you're in, God
-
will take care of you if you trust him. That's
-
a big if that. But if you don't trust him,
-
then very difficult. How are you gonna how is someone
-
gonna take care of you and you don't trust a person,
-
He's gonna be very difficult because you're gonna do things
-
the person didn't ask you to do. Right, But if
-
you trust him, he will take care of you. And
-
this is another important line. And forgive our debts. Only
-
God can forgive us. But what's the perocricy for that?
-
As we forgive our debtors? Friends, I've come to sein
-
and I think I've shared it in previous I don't
-
show it previously, but I've come to see how unforgiveness
-
in our lives can really mess us up, how unforgivers
-
can cause us not to move forward in life. Now
-
I've seen how because of a particular situation, a brother
-
who had.
-
Unforgiveness for many years cannot move on until the person
-
let it go and say, I forgive so different, now
-
so different. We have to let go or whatever unforgiveness
-
that we have I caution.
-
I think, yeah, I remember I cautioned you guys last year,
-
last week, or for last.
-
Friends, don't hold onto offense. Don't get so easily offended
-
on someone else we have can or not please for
-
your own good. Don't don't get angry so fast.
-
Right, forgive our debt as we're forgive our debtors, and
-
do not lead us into temptation, but deliver.
-
Us from the evil one.
-
Friends, do not lead. We're asking God. You mean God
-
can lead?
-
Well, I guess God can allow it to happen now,
-
so you're ask him.
-
You have to ask him keep you safe, because think
-
about it. If I'm a parent and my son. Let's
-
say my son decides to misbehave, and I can try
-
my best to say no, stop, change the person.
-
You know he wants to go. I don't know.
-
Okay, let let's use this example that is very bad example,
-
go clubbing.
-
Okay. I used to go clubb when I'm young.
-
Okay, Let's say my son, oh, you know his go
-
clubbing and mix with people that he didn't make swave.
-
I can do a lot of things. I can, I
-
can change him, I can do whatever. But do you
-
know that if he really wants to go, he will
-
find a way. Do you know the moment I let
-
go of my chain said whatever, do you know what?
-
It's not sustainable to change my son. I am not
-
doing it. And by the way, just letting you'll give
-
you some examples, right, okay, but it's not sustainable in
-
fact doing things like that, and I might causing to
-
stray further.
-
So likewise, in our own lives, how many of us
-
have been this obedient to God?
-
And Jesus can forgive right, yeah you will, but after
-
a while, right, if you constantly are this obedient?
-
Right, your parents also don't know what to do with you.
-
They will like, let you go up because can't do
-
anything ready, friends, can I give you a caution, don't
-
treat God.
-
Don't treat God that way. Don't treat God that way. Yes, yes,
-
unconditional love. But if you sow want it now you
-
might get it. Be were careful, be were careful, you
-
might sol want it that you.
-
Will get it. It is you one thing or not
-
not out of people one for you, you know, so
-
be were careful without desires? Right?
-
Sorry, yeah, but delivers from the evil one for yours
-
is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever imaen.
-
Just another reminder that God is all powerful. Imen.
-
Guys, Okay, so please go pray. If you don't have
-
to pray, pray the lost prayer. If you don't cannot remember,
-
near might open the Bible and pray. Internalize the Lord's prayer.
-
This is why Jesus taught us how to pray, this
-
direct from Bible and our friends. You don't have to
-
be eloquent, really say, don't be eloquent like those in
-
the temple read in reports. You know, when he said everything,
-
I'm like, oh my goodness, I repeat my prayers all
-
the time. He's talking about me, you know, no, friends,
-
we got to learn how to pray. We got to
-
learn how to pray. We got to know that God
-
is sovereign and the Lord's prayer gives us the right
-
perspective and posture towards God in our daily lives.
-
Why is it daily? Because the Word that is give
-
us this day your daily brain.
-
Meantime, you have to pray every day, our friends, you
-
have to no other choice, right, And some of you
-
notice one day skip devotion when you're consistent, then suddenly
-
or they mess up.
-
Then you wonder why.
-
It's not because God's angry at you. No, we sign
-
we think, oh no, I'm not holy now.
-
No, No, it's not that.
-
It's just that you forgot to tap into the power.
-
It's you forgot to tap into the power, not because
-
God is angry. God is not angry at you. God
-
loves you right, the right perspective, and He is on you.
-
Read read further, you will see how God said, how
-
deus say it. Don't worry, see he giving He's giving
-
us the tools and the understanding of who Christ is,
-
who God is in our lives because He knows what
-
troubles us, our future, our daily break right.
-
The problems we have with people, unforgiveness. He knows that.
-
He teaches us, and then he gives us assurance. Right.
-
He talks about, hey, lay up your treasures in heaven.
-
I'm reading continue Matthew six, right, and then he says,
-
you cannot self two masters, for either he will hate
-
one and love the other, or else he'll be loyal
-
to one and despise the other. You cannot self God
-
and mement. And then later Christ talks about not worrying.
-
Don't worry. If God, our father can take you.
-
See you, If you don't establish I got your father,
-
then you worry. But if you're really established, I got
-
your father, then Jesus your men, don't worry. Don't worry
-
because you'll take care of you. Your father will take
-
it of you. Right, He's good to you. But you
-
don't missbehavilow okay. And then the scripture comes Matthew sixty three.
-
But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness,
-
and all these things shall be added to you.
-
Love this scripture.
-
Remind myself constantly about this scripture because the reality is
-
us living on this earth.
-
We can forget who God is us living on this earth.
-
If the problem is big enough in your face, you
-
will realize or the problem is here, right, you will
-
forget that God, now there is bigger than a problem.
-
Is standing behind a problem. But your eyes just focused
-
on the problem. Your eyes just focus on your dream.
-
Do you know that your dream can be a problem
-
as well?
-
Right?
-
Do you know that sometimes God will ask us to
-
sacrifice our dream because our dream is not good enough
-
for us, and then later he'll give us something better. Actually,
-
it was a dream, friends, to renovate my house. Dream
-
pipe dream. It's happening, it's coming to fruition. I still
-
cannot believe it. I still cannot believe it.
-
I was just telling my.
-
Wife that day. Hey, no, don't I tell my telling
-
someone else. I was I you know, I just give
-
you some story. Okay, you know I have a picture
-
of how you should look like, right, how the towels
-
should look like. And I wanted like wood towels or
-
nice right wood looking towels, you know. And then after
-
ding dong left right, talked to the you know contractor
-
realize that I have to change plan because the wood
-
towels are it's not cannot last long. My look nice,
-
my you know, my imagination is like all those Scandinavian
-
house design Yeah, you know there's no nice wood towels
-
on the floor, wood wood, rail wood, but cannot reil
-
wood man cause Chinese agent cooking rail wood is oil, right,
-
and the contractors good constantly remind me remember if you
-
cook Thai tower, it doesn't work in this kind of
-
They're like, okay, so nots and we and we were rush.
-
You know, I had to make a decision for the
-
tous last week. I had to make a decision and
-
I'm like, okay, let's just go with your recommendation. And
-
suddenly he asked, uh, you know, and and you see,
-
my imagination is limit limit limiting, but God's image imagination
-
is more right.
-
I never once considered a two by two thous.
-
I always think two by one on me because I
-
can afford that two by two two expensive?
-
Right. Also, I thought contracted us, why don't you consider
-
two by two. I'm like, huh, two by two can?
-
May?
-
Can may? Okay, I'll trial.
-
Then after that went to the town shop, right supposed
-
to go with me and my wife for those that
-
wanted me about you know, renovation being stressful and it
-
can cause you know, challenges.
-
Yes, in communication, yes, but she said, yeah, I trust you.
-
You just Gola.
-
I think she also fell out immunately just go like side,
-
I will do whatever. And I'm like, okay, okay, I
-
went there. I rushed, I went there. Look, look, look
-
I picked two thousands.
-
Right, I'm like this and this.
-
You know, it wasn't my initial choice. Friends, it wasn't totally.
-
I'm like, Kayla, you know, but look nice, right, And
-
then I went back. And then the next day I
-
reflected and I'm like, actually, I was telling my wife,
-
I say, actually the thoughts we picked right, that was
-
not the first choice, quite Classila, Actually, like it kind
-
of makes the flaw As I'm thinking about it now,
-
like although it was like a rash, have to do this,
-
have to do that, I didn't plan, I'm thinking about him, like,
-
actually the town make it look quite premium, La, And
-
he's saying budget, praise the Lord. God has a better
-
plan for you. We don't know, we don't imagine. I'm
-
sure I'm just taking it one step at the time now,
-
because the whole reason why I'm doing renovation is because
-
God asks, do you know I wouldn't have done it, honestly,
-
I honest, you know, we got to have the right
-
perspective to usko on Amen, and the focus is God
-
always always, yes, yes, Yes, we have dreams, we have desires,
-
we want to do. Friends, the Bible and probably say
-
man plans is steps. Sorry, man plans is waste. But
-
God directs his steps. So it also tells you you've
-
got a plan.
-
Keep planning.
-
I don't don't plan now, Oh I don't plan whatever, Lord, No, no,
-
don't do that plan, plan plan, But when God changes
-
your plan, be flexible and be open because He is
-
in control.
-
Amen.
-
Even if it seems like a worst plan. Something as
-
Hmans tells, felt like a worst plan. But as I
-
think about it, and as I continue to thinking about it,
-
I think if I went in my original plan, I
-
will regretted. But because I'm going with I believe it's
-
God's plan. Weird now, got so interesting plan? Well, so
-
far it seems like he is la that it looks
-
pretty good and I would never have imagined. I would
-
never have wanted it, but God made away.
-
Amen.
-
So friends, going back to the first title, that they
-
may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.
-
Let's take a look back. So just now we had
-
a hard check, right, great check. Now let's take a
-
look back. What has been our track record? What has
-
been your try record?
-
Okay?
-
And friends, when I say this, I must also clarify
-
I am not so freeer to check on everybody?
-
Can I can? I be honest, There's just too many
-
people here to follow up. Right. I'm just one man.
-
I got my own kids, my own wife, right, and
-
I always joke sometimes after five thirty.
-
I'm off Joe. Joke joke, Okay, Joe.
-
So God knows right your try record and you know
-
your try recud, but I'm not checking on you. Okay,
-
Just to clarify, can't got no time, right, But let's
-
look back. What is our try record? And what have
-
we been producing? What have we been producing? Let's read
-
Matthew Chapter seven, verse fifteen to twenty. Okay, and I
-
ran my so I'm just gonna read it myself, are
-
you guys?
-
Okay?
-
Beware of false prophets who come to you in ship's clothing,
-
but inwardly they are revenous wolves. You will know them
-
by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes? Or
-
fixed from thissels? Even so, every good tree best good fruit,
-
but a bad tree best bad fruit. A good tree
-
cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear
-
good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit
-
is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by
-
their fruits you will know them. Do you know that
-
people know you by your fruits? What you produce?
-
They do.
-
And I'll just focus on these two scripture for us
-
to think about and reflect Matthew seven to eighteen. A
-
good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad
-
tree bear good fruit. It talks about the tree. Sometimes
-
we just blame the fruit. The fruit is sourisla, No,
-
it is the tree that is burying the fruit. Who
-
is the tree? We are the tree? And it further
-
talks there for by their fruits you will know them.
-
What is our track record? Let me give you another
-
sobering thought. Okay, a lot of sobering talks his money.
-
I guess, okay, can you just notut your neighbor and say, hey,
-
it's gonna be okay, it's gonna pay, We're gonna end well, okay, we're.
-
Gonna end well. Okay.
-
You know, I think about this a little bit often
-
now because again, maybe maybe I had a native Deaf experience.
-
We are getting older, but I think about this, okay,
-
and maybe because I passed her. So I think about
-
things like this quite a while.
-
We can only account for ourselves and not others. Do
-
you know that?
-
Of course for me a bit different. Now I have
-
to account for all of you. That's how the Bible says.
-
Those there are in leadership, we have to come for
-
everybody's under their ship, you know, under under their Okay,
-
So I got more pressure, okay, But we can only
-
account for ourselves and ordists. Do you know that you
-
can only account for ourselves and ordists because and it's
-
written in the Bible. Our friends, so sobering thought something
-
for us to think about. Don't fear, but think about
-
because when we stand before the judgment seat of Christ,
-
and when he asked us to take an of our lives,
-
what will we tell him?
-
Something to think about? Is God loving? Yes? Can can
-
Christ forgive us? Since? Yes?
-
But when we are called in front of the judgment
-
sies of Christ next time, what will we tell him?
-
I think about that because I think about my own actions.
-
I ah Jesus the reason why I decided not to
-
do abcit because this person hurt me. That person is horrible.
-
This person or my parents you know, not rich enough,
-
you know my father?
-
No, what are we gonna say to Christ?
-
Let me read scripture? Okay, Matthew seven twenty one. Not
-
everyone who says to me, Lord Lord, shall enter the
-
kingdom heaven. But he who does the will of my
-
father in heaven. Many will say to me in the day,
-
Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast
-
out demons in your name, and done many wonders in
-
your name? It's quite cool, right, prophesied in Jesus's name,
-
cast out demons in Jesus' name, and done wonders in
-
Jesus name. And then I would declare to them, I
-
never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. Okay,
-
let me break down the scripture in two key understandings. So,
-
first question, how come these people can do things in
-
jesus namer, but Jesus still don't recognize them?
-
Is it possible? Right?
-
Shouldn't they who use his name to do things be
-
recognized by him because they're doing in Jesus name. Okay,
-
let me give you these two key understanding by the
-
mere fact that Jesus said he don't recognize them tells them,
-
tells you that they don't have a relationship with him.
-
But what does that also say about what they do?
-
It also talks about the power of the name of
-
Jesus Christ. You'll catch that his namer is so powerful.
-
So this is the thing where I feel something it's
-
hard for us to understand because, oh, we go by association.
-
Okay, I hope I'm explaining. It's clear enough.
-
What's the same is I'm Christian only I can use
-
Jesus name, not true. God already said that the name
-
of Jesus Christ is the name above every other name
-
and true his name many or be healed, means that
-
Jesus' name is powerful. Whether you're a Christian or not,
-
you understand that the name of Christ is powerful. A
-
person who's not a believer and don't believe in Jesus
-
yet can pray in Jesus name and God will hear
-
him or her because the name is powerful. It doesn't
-
talk about oh, you qualify only no no, no friends,
-
whether we believe it or not, the name is powerful.
-
And this is why, maybe this is why the world
-
is trying to discredit the name of Christ by using
-
it as a sweard. You'll catch that.
-
So it tells me, you know, because I used to
-
don't understand. I don't understand God, what do you mean?
-
Hey? Very clear? God already said that the name of
-
Jesus is powerful, so means a Christian not Christian. When
-
I use it now, the power is in effect. Don't
-
catch that. So it's not about the name. But then
-
it talks about I never knew it talks about relationship. So, friends,
-
sobering thought, do we have a relationship with Christ? It
-
is not about the works. It is about the relationship.
-
The relationship doesn't qualify us or more.
-
No, no, no, The power is dearity. The power in
-
the name is dereity. Do we recognize that you're how
-
powerful there is? Friends, That also tells me that you
-
don't have to be a pastor to pray in Jesus'
-
name and God hears you. That also tells me that
-
the name of Christ is so powerful that we got
-
to take it seriously when we pray in Jesus name.
-
Not like that, you guys, Okay, So it is an
-
ouch moment for.
-
Some of you, right, for some of us. Here for
-
me as well.
-
Look to your neighbor and say ouch, look to your
-
other neighbor and say it's okay, you'll be fine.
-
So what as that mean? Friends?
-
It means that it's time to take responsibility of our
-
own actions. It just means that, okay, it just means
-
that take responsibility of your own actions. Your faith is
-
your faith, not someone else's faith. Just can't come up
-
to Christ and say, my husband now not wholly enough
-
to do the evotion in me every morning, So that's
-
why I don't. But he's a pastor word. It doesn't matter.
-
It doesn't matter. Do you know that when we all
-
go to heaven, she's not gonna look basemen?
-
You pasta? Are you want to strike? Hello?
-
All say no, right, it's all same, But it's time
-
to take responsibility less ten to Second Corinthians five nine
-
to eleven.
-
Are you guys okay?
-
I know that's all scripture here, okay, And I hope
-
you're following me so far? Okay, Second Corinthians, Oh, I
-
will encourage you. If you're confused, go and talk to
-
your home leaders. Hopefully they can explain to you. Right,
-
give them all. Second Corinthians five nine to eleven. What
-
as they say, it says He. Therefore we make it
-
our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing
-
to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment
-
seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things
-
done in the body according to what he has done,
-
whether good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the
-
Lord we persuade men. But we are well known to God,
-
and I also trust are well known in your conscience. Friends,
-
our favor is not just happy happy HAHAHII. You need
-
we got to remember that we are called to mature
-
in Christ. We are called to have a relationship with Christ.
-
We are called to experience Christ. It is not a
-
surface kind of religion or believe. No, it is a
-
relationship with Christ. So I encourage you. Let's aim to
-
be well pleasing to Him. When you do things, do
-
it unto God. When you serve, do it unto God.
-
Don't do it no no power, one, nothing can come out.
-
One.
-
Maybe I can take you a going macana or invite
-
you to my house. That's all right, But I want
-
to do anything better. Do it towards Christ, not towards man.
-
Do it towards Christ.
-
Amen, you want to hear the good news. And I
-
end with this. You want to hear the good news.
-
You want to hear the good news.
-
Okay, I know we talk a lot about stuff that
-
is quite heavier, but can I give you the kicker, right,
-
which is a good news.
-
The good news is that we are not alone. We
-
are not alone.
-
But you're looking at it photo, you see, Yeah, yeah,
-
Pastor bringing the good news? Why do I honor Pastor Kenneth?
-
Because the simple reality is this, If Pastor Kenneth didn't
-
start ex church, I wouldn't be here. It's as simple
-
as that. Is he anything more special than any other guy? Nope,
-
It's just that he's pressure enough that he's willing to
-
follow what the Lord does, right, and I respect him
-
for that.
-
That's why. That's honor, and honor is beating our church.
-
We believe in it. We honor each other. Right, We
-
don't love each other, but we honor each other. Amen.
-
So what is the good news? Friends?
-
I think we can release together for God soul love
-
the world that he gave his only begoden son, that
-
whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
-
For God did not send his son into the world
-
to condemn the world, but that the world true him
-
might be saved. So, friends, I know I share a
-
lot of stuff that Ohhavi Halving, Hey, you want to
-
know the good news. The good news is the transformative
-
power of Christ. Can you not your neighbor and say
-
Christ is going to transform you? Can you not your
-
other neighbor and say, with more conviction, Christ is going
-
to transform you?
-
To I, guys, okay not. I hope we're catchink something
-
out of this.
-
Second Corinthians five seventeen says Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
-
he is a new creation. All things have passed away. Behold,
-
old things have become new. All things have passed away. Friends,
-
you can become new, new.
-
Year, new you. It's going to be doing it twenty
-
five ready, do you know that? Friends?
-
If you have met me ten years ago, actually known
-
ten years ago, if you met you, if you if
-
you can you can talk my wife? Okay, I like you.
-
You said, it's a you know, going a very fire.
-
I think I've changed a lot. I think I've changed
-
a lot. But it's not because of any other thing.
-
It's because of Christ. You know, for those of us
-
who walk with him. For those of us who know him.
-
You know yourself how Christ has transformed you, made you're
-
more patient person, Maybe you love people a little bit more.
-
It's a continuous transformation. No, right, it's a continuous transformation.
-
So can we don't stop Christ ageus enough? Area.
-
I don't know no friends, less mature more. No, No,
-
I want to be comfortable. I don't want really, Just
-
send me to heaven. John chapter three, verse eighteen to
-
twenty one. It says here he who believes in Him
-
is not condemned, but he who does not believe is
-
condemned really because he has not believed in the name
-
of the only Beg, godden son of God. And this
-
is the condemnation. That the light has come into the world.
-
And men love darkness rather than light because their deeds
-
were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and
-
does not come to the light. Less his deeds should
-
be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to
-
the light, and that his deeds may be clearly seen,
-
that they may have been done in God. Do you
-
see it comes from full circle that they may see
-
your works and glorify your far in heaven. You'll catch
-
that that ourdeeds be done in God. It comes one
-
full circle. When you are transformed by Christ. You cannot
-
help but aligned to God's will and that your works
-
may glorify your fart in heaven. So the key word
-
is trans for maytion, transformation. I am no longer the same,
-
I wance worse. I can confidently say that I.
-
Am changed, transform, born again, set free, and a new
-
creation in Christ, Jesus, my Lord and my Savior. And
-
that is my testimony. Amen. Amen, I'm sure some of
-
you here can profess that we are transformed. Right. I
-
got home up for y'all.
-
Go back and read efficients chapter two, verse one to ten.
-
Can on not write it down Ephicients Chapter two, verse
-
one to ten. But let me give you this one
-
scripture from that efficients two ten says for we are workmanship.
-
We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jeus for good
-
works which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
-
That's what we are created for. Are we doing it
-
or not? That's the question. Are we stewarding this call
-
that God has? And again I remind us again the
-
good news is said. We're not doing alone. We are transformed,
-
born again. You shouldn't be the same. You shouldn't look
-
the same. Right, what is the tricor what is the
-
fruits that we are producing? And there's no condemnation, our friend,
-
if let's say you've not been doing it or whatever,
-
or we've not been doing it, there's no condemnation. Start today, law,
-
be transformed today, or experience God today. Law Right, there's
-
a chance today. Decide today. Don't one day you need
-
when the dearth come from No, no, no, friends, Start today.
-
Life is short. Experience God today. How do I experience God?
-
How do I experience Christ? Well?
-
The Bible to the Bible again, Abide in Him John
-
fifteen four. It says, abide in me and I in you.
-
As the branch cannot beare foot of itself unless it
-
abides in the vine, neither can you unless.
-
You abide in me. We got abide in God. Amen.
-
Let me go to John chapter fifteen. Okay, read the
-
whole scripture. A guys, Okay, I'm gonna answer Riadi. I
-
am the vine and you are the branches. He who
-
abides in me and I in him bears much fruit.
-
For without me you can do nothing. If anyone does
-
not abide in me, he's cast out as a branch
-
and is with it, and they gethered them and throw
-
them into the fire, and they are burnt. If you
-
abide in me and my words abide in you, you
-
will ask what you desire, and it shall be done
-
for you.
-
By this, my Father is glorified.
-
Well, the Bible keeps pointing us to that, by this,
-
my Father is glorified that you bear much fruit, so
-
you will be my disciples.
-
How that all men know it starts with us, How
-
that all may know it starts with us following Christ
-
fully wholeheartedly. Everything that actually knew about the sovereign thought all,
-
don't worry about it. It's just something to think about.
-
But don't worry about it. You should worry more.
-
About abiding Christ Am I, Abiding christ Am I, following Jesus.
-
That's the question you gotta ask yourself.
-
Yes, there are other things that will come and mess
-
with you, the other worries that will come and disturb you.
-
There are other you know, concerns that you have, and
-
other people that will hurt you. And but God has
-
given us the keys to the kingdom. God has said,
-
don't worry, seek me for us again on God, and
-
all should be added to you. God say forgive, you
-
won't forgiveness? You forgive first? He's given us everything, you know,
-
why are we not using it? The name of Jesus
-
name above every other name, so powerful that even people
-
who don't know him can use the name. People that
-
he will not recognized can use the name. And then
-
sometimes as human beings we are well can't lame us.
-
We see things in a one dimensional way. Oh, you know,
-
this person must be annointed because when the person pray,
-
the person is here, you don't know what's happening in
-
the background. Why are we so big on discipership in
-
this church, because we know it's not about the stage,
-
it's not about the gifts.
-
It is about the character and the heart. And that's
-
the goal, the hypership, the hipership, is the goal that
-
all may know your good works and that they will
-
glorify their Father in heaven. That all may know your
-
good works and they will glorify your Father in Heaven.
-
And friends, when you.
-
Submit yourself to Christ, when you submit yourself to his
-
call over your life.
-
You know, sometimes we again another short sighted things.
-
Sometimes as human beings or as Christians, we oh, God's communists,
-
must do full time.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
-
Friends, not everybody is called no you know what, let
-
me change that. Everybody is called for full time to
-
serve God, but not everybody is called to work in church.
-
So why are we so small minded? You know I'm
-
using this terms small minded? You know, I desire for
-
all of you here.
-
I desire that you experienced Christ to the fullest.
-
Everybody. Don't care how old or how young you are doing.
-
Some of you might think, oh, no, I'm already you.
-
Know my time.
-
No, no, your time has not gone. As long as
-
you stay on this earth. Your time has not gone.
-
Don't so fast declare things like that. God can use you.
-
God used Caleb when he was eight years old to
-
take the mountain. How long has he waited for the promise?
-
So many is thirty old? I think more than that.
-
And then Josha say, hey, you already, let your sons
-
and your grandsons take the mountain for you.
-
He said, this is the promise that God has given me.
-
I will do it myself. Of course, he's probably strong
-
enough to do it.
-
Low he's already preparing himself, not allowing himself to say
-
I'm already, Okayla, let the young one serve the ladlah.
-
Friends, how small my dad are we today? I encourage you.
-
Commit your life to Christ. If you want to do
-
it again later when they're giving it, it's okay.
-
Oh no, I don't know.
-
Please, friends, let's not be so worried about the things
-
around us. Let us fully commit ourselves to Christ and say, Jesus,
-
I follow you wholeheartedly. Can you speak to me? And
-
do you know that when you know the Bible says wisdom?
-
You know nowadays when I pray for people, I pray
-
for wisdom. I pray for wisdom from the Lord. No,
-
not from the world, from the Lord.
-
Because when you have wisdom from the Lord, when the
-
Holy Spirnce speaks to you, will know how to do
-
the right thing.
-
You don't need to go and seek for If you
-
know what to do, you know how to be led
-
by God. And that's powerful, friends, that cart you today.
-
Let's follow Jesus, hemen, Let's.
-
Follow Jesus and then everything else will come to pass,
-
everything else be shorted. He's our main focus. Abide in Christ.
-
Abide in Christ.
-
Come on, maybe you'll just invite the worship team to
-
come up. Probably have to rush off. Free day, friends,
-
in your own way, even as we worship God. In
-
a while, I want you to build an altar to
-
the Lord. Whatever that has been holding you back, stopping you,
-
causing you to have all your thoughts. Maybe it's your
-
own self, you know, let the Holy Spirit minister to
-
you and whatever that is right, Can you just lay
-
on the altar and say, Lord, you take it over,
-
take a world.
-
I don't want to hold this anymore.
-
I want to wholeheartedly come in my life to you
-
whatever desires that I have, where it's my family, whether
-
it's in my own life.
-
Maybe it's to look for you know, maybe it's to
-
get a baby, and you know, different ones say you're
-
very good desires. I'm not saying it's wrong, but don't
-
make the desire God. Let God handle it. If it
-
is a promise from the Lord, you will happen. We
-
don't have to foster the issue. You know how we
-
get in trouble. We forced the issue. You know how
-
Abraham got in trouble. Until today we're paying for his mistake.
-
Ishmael came out. Let me help God. The moment you
-
have God, that man can come out, you know, and
-
until today are suffering. Don't have God, let go handle it.
-
You trust him, but build your altar. Trust him. He
-
asked you to move forward, move forward. He asked you
-
to go left. Go let trust him and let's believe
-
in Jesus. Amen.
-
