Dependency - What and With Whom | Elder Terence Atkinson

We hope this message will light up your day.

This morning. I want to talk to you. And the

last time I was here, I think I talked to

you about mercy, right, And so I was asking Lord, Okay, God,

what next? What's what's next? And you know that all

we know that's the season that we're in. That's that's

what we in church are talking about. That all me know,

me know what we know Jesus Christ. We come into

a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. And the Lord wants

you to know that there is some something else that

we need to do as we develop and as we mature.

And this is what I want to share with you

this morning, which is dependency. Dependency? What is dependency? And

with whom shall we be dependent on? Hey? Do you

know what's happening in the world today? Ah, the world

is a very exciting place. But what's happening in the

world today? Did you know that we live in tumultuous times.

We live in times where the strife wars and rumors

or wars and uh, it's a signal that Jesus Christ

is coming against soon, a message that most of us

don't know about, or some have forgotten. But Jesus Christ

is coming against soon. Whether we believe it or whether

we don't, it makes no difference. It's not dependent upon

our belief. It's dependent upon the will of God, Jesus

coming again. But scripture points us to a few things.

It talks about God and God coming against Israel. Did

you know that when Iran bonded Israel, Russia came into

it and said, if you go overboard with your retaliation,

we will defend Iran. Did you know that? Are you away?

So you see you now have the stage being set

for God in Mogok actually to come against Israel. Why

do we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I've said

this before, I'll say it again. We pray for the

peace of Jerusalem because when when that part of the

world is at peace, so are we. When that part

of the world is not at peace, believe me, we

will be troubled. The price of patrol will go up,

there will be widespread inflation, there will be a lack

of goods when there's no peace in that region. Maybe

can you can you believe in them? And then after

that you have another country entering the fray the kings

of the East generally or most or more specifically that's

mentioned in the Book of Revelation refers to China. Okay,

guess what. China and Russia have suddenly become best buddies

and who is China's surrogate? We heard a lot of

this word sarrogate this last week because of the US

election North Korea and North Korea has what sent three

thousand troops to Europe to fight against Ukraine. You think

there is no connection, you better believe there's a connection,

because the Bible says the whole world will turn against

God's people, and when that happens, that's a signal for

a second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. So during

this time, who do we depend on? What is our strength? Hey?

Do we depend on our intelligence? I'm telling you there

are so many intelligent people here. You can cut the

brain power with a knife. You know you got I'm

sure sitated here. You got masters, double masters, doctorates degrees

and not just ordinary gase gpa four gpa three point five.

Walking into this rumor, I'm like a kindergarten kid compared

to all you guys. But do we depend on our

intelligence or not. Are we looking to get ourselves out

of trouble with how quick a brain is. There's nothing

wrong with being intelligent. Okay, let me be the first

to tell you that. Okay, some people actually say I'm

very intelligent, but I don't believe them. You know, I

don't believe them because I don't want to put any

value on things that I come up with and say

I'm the one that came up with it, because the

moment I do that, then the power of God working

in my life will see every good decision, every great

idea that I have ever had, has only come from Jesus,

has only come from the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

And as long as I have that attitude in my heart,

and as long as I always have that idea in

my head, God will continue to give me great ideas.

You know why, because when that great idea comes, I

will say, it's the Lord who did it. And I'll

testify before you what's the latest skill that I learned.

God helps me a lot of skills. Okay, he does.

And basically, okay, you talk to the Lord about getting people.

Say anyone here who does not know Jesus Christ. By

the end, of the service. Give your life to him

because whatever it is, that's what this is wome message

is about. It's about honoring the name of Jesus because

he's the one who can help you with anything. All right,

So how does the Lord speak to me? The Lord

speaks to me in ideas. He speaks to me with

solving problems, because when I can solve a problem, later on,

when I meet someone who needs Jesus, I will know

how to guide them. You see a lot of people,

some people say, oh, you always testify about these things.

You know about these things, But what about testifying about

somebody who got saved. I've already told you how many

people I got saved, which I found out only forty

years ago, forty years later. So I'm not gonna worry

about that now, because when I am a hundred years old,

there will be a new batch of people that say

I got saved because of something you said. So I'm

not gonna get caught up with that. But I will

get caught up in the fact that God helps me

because I depend on him. So I have this glass

lighting door. Okay, it's about nine feet tall. It's a

big glass lighting door. It's not the ordinary aluminium door.

It's one of those heavy duty ones. But the irritating

thing is when I go walking early in the morning,

I got to carry keys, and who likes to carry keys?

I don't. So I asked Lord, what do I do?

God said, smart lock, Oh clever, look, okay, I understand.

Then I told Elder Mabel and she said, don't you

touch my door. You will not do anything to the door. Okay.

I like it just the way it is. So I

went back to the Lord. Lord. He said, I give

you an idea, and then he put it in my head.

H It's called a drop bolt lock, which I never

knew before. And when I saw it in my head,

I went to research it and say, hey, it's there. Wow.

I was very excited. Then I have to convince Elder

meble See, I said, don't worry. When I finish it,

you won't even see the lock or what you have

to do. I said, I have to drill a couple

of holes. Drill a couple of door holes in my

aluminium door. Yes, that's the new skillma, But you know what,

God built every bit of it in my head and

when I saw the picture, I never write down my plans. Okay,

God will give me the idea, he'll build upon it.

And when it's built in my head, I just went

and bought the paths and this deeper valley. I went

to work. I drilled the holes, put the thing in,

and guess what, it's working now. So when I want

to go out of my house, I don't need to

use keys. I just go and wave my hand at

my sensor lock and then I can open the door.

Then I close the door and twelve seconds after it opens,

the boat will drop and it's locked again. So I

go for my walks. When I come back, I go

and put my thumb prink and my door can open,

and praise the Lord. I don't have to carry keys.

Who did it? Did I do it? No? God did it.

You see. God excited me with an idea and a

solution to a problem I had. Now, what do you

think that's going to do for me when I come

across another problem? Don't you think it will encourage me

to seek the Lord and believe God for a solution.

That's why I said when that guy said, I will

not receive Jesus unless I see him. And God gave

me the answer and the answer was badminton. Remember that.

When I went to see the guy, I said, do

you like badminton? He said, yes, I like badminton. I say, well,

you are asking Jesus to show himself to you. Do

you realize that Jesus already did that two thousand years ago?

And you know what he's done. He's already served the

shuttle to you to play the game. He's waiting for

you to return the shuttle. Will you receive Jesus's Lord

and Savior? Yes, Jesus so I That is how God

ministers to me. I don't know how God ministers to you.

He ministers to me in ideas you can ask Pastor.

Having so many strange things I did around the office,

do you know I have never done it before? They

are all new skills. God helps me. So what has

that got to do with today's word? I want you

to know. Isaiah forty thirty one says this, But those

that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They

shall mount up with wings like eagles, not like crows,

not like sparrows. Like eagles. They shall run and not

be weary. They shall walk and not faint. What has

this got to do with it? Understand what you know.

I like this scripture in the amplified version because what

does the amplified version do it You're waiting for something

profound and nor I mean, you know, life is simple.

Let's just go with it with Okay, let's see what

the amplified version is. But those those who wait for

the Lord, who will expect or look for and hope

in him, will gain new strength and renew via power.

So what has a door lot got to do? It

renewed my mental power to solve problems. They will lift

up their wings and rise up close to God like

eagles rising towards the sun. They will run and not

become weary. They will walk and not grow tired. I've

said this before, and I need all of us to

hear it. At every word that I'm speaking to you.

When I say you, I am saying me as well.

All right, let's get that clear, because I want it

to seem like I'm pointing because in you you always

remember when I point a you three fingers pointing back

at me. So more for me. I'm sharing with me

the message to me, and you get too eaves drop.

All right, I'm how many of you here are close

to burnout? Can I see your show hands? One? Two, three?

How many of you here are burnt out? Can I

see your show hands? Okay? How many of you feel

there is such a thing? Answer truth? If you answer truthfully,

you get true answers. Again, how many of you believe

there is such a thing as burn out? Okay, that's

almost all of you. Do not get upset with me

about what I'm about to tell you. I'm just being

truthful to you as I am. Remember, see that three

fingers pointing at me. Burn now is a lie of

the devil. Those of us who have burnt out, let

me tell you what really has happened. We have copped out,

we have given up, we have given in. We have

let go and I'm not talking about letting go letty

go now when I'm not talking. We have let go

of that lifeline that keeps us safe. Am I to

believe you or me? Or am I to believe the word?

You as believers? Me as a believer? How on earth

can we burn out? Do you know that the scripture

gives us the answer? And then the other thing. Let

me tell you those of us who say we've burnt out,

remember always remember I'm not pointing. Figure you three fingers

always air me. Okay, we settled it. You have put

the blame for you giving up on somebody else. Hey,

I'm speaking real things here. Oh I can't do it

anymore because this and that. And listen, when you have

say you have burned out, you put the blame on

somebody else for doing something to you, but you have

not faced up to the real issue. The real issue

has never been somebody else. The real issue has always

been you and me. The real issue has never been

about what somebody else has said, how much somebody else

has worked us. Hey, guys, I have been born again

and serving in the House of the Lord for forty

five years. I boss a little bit now, okay five years.

When I first came to the Lord, I spent my

time in the morning, in school, and in the evening

praying for deliverance cases. How much of sleep a day?

Two hours, three hours a day? How old was I

seventeen eighteen nineteen twenty. Maybe you want to know what

my schedule was like. I get up at five in

the morning, get myself ready to go to school a levels,

reach school at seven am, and after school do all

my school activities. Train the tennis team. Leave school at

seven pm. Reach back my my, what do you call

this place? Hostel? At eight o'clock eight thirty go for dinner,

wash my clothes. Study from ten to twelve twelve o'clock,

walk across to the church and pray for people who

need deliverance cases. And I did that. When I came

back to Malaysia, I joined the music ministry. Six o'clock

in the morning, go to Clang church. Load up all

the instruments into the van. You know what kind of instruments.

Not these digital instruments, you know, it's nice digital electric piano.

The roads piano, you know, a big one, yeah, that one.

Me and another guy. The speakers were huge speakers, you know,

and an complete drum set, strip the drum set down.

Put all the metal hardware in a gunny sack and

take it. And when we reached kl hotel will not

allow us to use the lift. Me and that guy

would carry every instrument for the whole banner. And he

wasn't four piecea it was a six piece bed. By

the way. The speaker, the base, speaker base was this high.

This why this stick. Then the amplifier on top of it.

Weighed heavier than that big thing. We carried it up

and down, carried it up to the third floor or

the fourth floor where we held the service, and after

the service, carry it down, go to church for meeting,

go back at twelve midnight, unload, get home by two

pm Monday morning. I did this every day for almost

ten years. After we got our own place, no need

to set up, but I remain in the music ministry

for another fifteen years. I joined X. I told pastor, pastor,

no need name. You know, I'll do whatever he says. No.

With the name comes the anointing. If you want to

know why we tell you become leaders, why we tell

you be disciples, why we tell you to do all

these things, because when you do it, you step into

the anointing of the Office. And now we've been serving

in X for fifteen years. You know when Elder Mabel

and myself will stop serving when we meet Jesus. Either

Jesus comes or we go. But one way or the other,

it stops. When it's so easy to say no, I

don't want to do any more. It's so easy to

say I'm tired. But if we do that, what about

those who are actually doing work. Are we not to

help them? Sure, eld Mable and myself have slowed down

quite a fair bit. We don't have that kind of energy,

that strength to run like we did, you know, all

those years ago. But at the end of the day,

it's not about that, you know. Scripture will tell you

the three different movement levels and you'll understand what I mean.

I want you to know. Have you not known that?

Scripture says, and I'm going to rush here because I

don't have much time. Have you not known? Have you

not heard? This is verse twenty eight. Isaiah, the Everlasting God,

the Lord, the creator of the answer to the earth,

neither faints noise. Where he is understanding is unsuchable. You

believe in a God that does not tire, So if

he does not tire, why should you? If God will

not get tired, how can we ever use that as

an excuse I'm burnt out? Hey, better to work here,

h and feel like you're burned out, rather than don't

work for the Lord one day, go at a meeting

and you actually will be fuel for a fire. I mean, guys,

we have to look at reality. In Verse twenty nine

says he gives power to whom the week and to

those who have no might, he increases strength. Praise the Lord.

I am a weak guy. I praise the Lord because

I don't say I'm intelligent. He can give me great ideas. Oh,

it's a horrible thing to rely on your intelligence. It's

a horrible thing to rely on your money. You know

what Steve Job said, better to be a pauper than

a billionaire in a cemetery. He was a billionaire. Where

did he end up the cemetery? Guys, your money can't

get you anyone. You think health is all that great,

Yes it is. It's really really great. So I'll serve

the lot only when I'm healthy. Guys, every day I

get up from bit, my body hurts from head to toe.

Can I be honest with you, it's no fun growing old.

It's no fun growing old. I mean back pain, leg pain,

shoulder pain, make pain, all kinds of pains you can

think of. Does it stop you from getting out of bit? No,

I'll tell you this. And my sister was dying of cancer,

and her last week she set me by her side

and held my hand, which she has never done before.

Help me with my hands, and said Terence, I don't

know what else to do. She had spent two hundred

and seventy thousand dollars on all all the medication and

all the works. And but in her last week I

held a hand and I told her, you don't need

to do anything else, because one thing that was required

of you you have done. What is that? The name

of Jesus is still on your lips. No sickness, no pain,

no distraughtness has robbed that from coming out of your mouth.

And Jesus God God posts about you to the enemy,

just as he did to about job. Job had everything

removed from him, his economy, his children, his friends, his health,

but he did not curse God and he got everything back. Hey,

you know, I still believe that all of us ought

to be well, because scripture says everyone that came to

Jesus he healed them. Also, why doesn't some people get healed?

Why do some people get hid and some people don't?

I don't know, but I do know this that if

we do not stop speaking the name of Jesus, we

are winners. We are winners. So those of us here

who may not know Jesus as the Lord and Savior,

I am telling you this world doesn't have anything good

for you. It may seem that it does, but it doesn't.

But I know one who really loves you, and I

know one who rarely speaks on your behalf, and one

who's really got your back. You know who that is.

That is Jesus. I want you to know. Even the

youths shall feign and be weary, and the young men

shall utterly fall. So those of you or me that

think well I'm young, you're not. I can move faster

than you. Really. Yeah, maybe speed wise, but brain wise

I will catch up. Why I have the Lord speaking

into my ear and helping me and encouraging me and

giving me great ideas, which even I have people come

up and ask me, are you an engineer? I say no,

Then how do you know all these things? I say,

There's a God that speaks into my ear. He tells me,

I hear him. God is able to do this for you.

What's your job? You're stuck because your boss doesn't want

to share everything with you. Don't fret it. Ask Jesus.

When Jesus starts giving you ideas, your boss will be

coming to you for advice. You want to know where

that is in scripture? Look at Daniel, look at Joseph. Hey,

you don't have to go very far. When God speaks

people here. Let me when God speaks, people see the

ones whom he speaks to. Let me clarify. And now

that we know all these things, we go back to

Isaiah forty one. That they those that wait on the

Lord shall renew their strength. We begin to understand the

scripture a little bit better. They shall man up with

wings like eagles. They should run, now be wary. They

should walk in out fit. And let me explain this

a little bit. But those anybody, but those means anyone? Hey,

you are but those you know. God doesn't respect color,

He doesn't respect status, symbol, he doesn't respect anything. He

only respects they that do what He tells them to do.

But you and I be qualified because we are bad those.

Isn't it wonderful to qualify for something good? How many

you like when you qualify for something good? Well, Jesus

is good. You qualify those of you that do not

know Jesus. Jesus is good. You qualify those that wait?

What is wait mean? Way It comes from the word cover.

It means eagerly wait, expect when you come to church

and on Sunday. If you don't expect, you don't get. If

you expect, you receive. If you tell yourself, I need

this answer. I'm coming to meet the Lord on Sunday.

He's going to speak to me. Guess what. By the

time you leave, you got your answer. But if you

don't expect anything, you will receive? What will you receive?

Absolutely nothing? So whether you do you know that that

you will always get. Some get substantiate, substantiative things, and

some get nothing. But both are getting expected. Hope, hope,

hopefully waiting, look eagerly, looked, wait, waited upon, waited, patiently,

patiently waiting for the Lord. In a militia, there's some waiters.

You know. Waiters are supposed to wait to serve you. Right.

Sometimes you put up your hand. Now you can't. They

cannot see you. You put up the hand. You look,

you say, you put the hand. He said, they look

that way. You go right up to them. You're waving

from the Hey, hello, I'm talking to you. Don't be

like that to the Lord. The Lord, the Lord. They

that wait on who the Lord? Do you know? This

is the proper name for the God of Israel. And

in in in New American Standard version. It actually this

his name in scripture is mentioned close to seven thousand times.

So this Lord that is mentioned in the word seven

thousand times is the one you should be waiting on.

Because if you're waiting on him, you know what the

prescripture says, you shall renew what you will get what

it will it's to pass on to you. God will

pass on to you something. He will pass through you,

change or be changed, gain a new move, pass forward,

sprouts a new sweep through you know, God is you

know what He is passing on to you, something you

shall renew. Hey, it's not anybody who's passing on to you. Know,

it's not me passing on to you my old clothes.

It's God passing power to you and through you shall

renew what their strength their strength. Ah, this is weird. Okay,

This word actually quetch a coach. Okay, it actually refers

to a lizard, a small lizard. They shall renew their strength.

So actually, you ask yourself, firstly, what is scripture saying.

Scripture is saying you and I we have the strength

of lizards, small lizards, the small chi channel the world.

We in your house every time now you look at

that lizard that is in rep scripture is referring to you.

That is your level of strength. In order to understand

how God is strong in you, you gotta understand where

you are at. That's where you're at. And then it says, now, firstly,

He's going to imbue upon you human strength. What kind

of strength? It actually refers to physical strength, as in

the strength of Samson. Okay, the ability and efficiency? How

many of us need ability in efficiency when we work?

Ability efficiency when we work? Guys, why do I keep

telling you? I don't say I'm intelligent. I say God

help me every morning, give me ideas. That is my prayer,

you know, give me ideas every morning. And some of

the ideas that are come up with are pretty weird,

but they work. Why do they work? They work because

I know I didn't get these ideas by myself. Ability

a friction, power of the people or a king. The

power people got Marcos out from Philippines many many years ago.

Some of you were not born, those who were born

were too young. Those of us with gray heavy remember,

powered people, that's what it means. Power of people or

power of a king. A king can say something and

it's done authority or a power conferred. I think I

spelt it wrong. It's two hours one f power conferred

by God. Okay, that's what this is? What strength? Now,

let's move on to something else other than human. This

STrenD also refers to the strength of angels. Wow, now

you're moving into the supernatural. Yeah, that's what you will

be impute. But what kind of strength? The power of God?

Peter walked on water? Whose strength? Power of God? David

ripping over the lion? Whose strength? Maybe the strength of angels? Oh,

talk about the power of animals? You say, what are

you're talking? Power animals? Power animals? Hey, you got the

power of ana. You better be happy, you know what?

And powerfuler? You got the thing in terms of racial

man not real terms. The power of the end. Even

the scripture says considered the end. Do you know that?

Let me tell you about the ant. The ant can

carry body weight six times its own body weight. That

would mean if I had the strength of an end,

I could carry one two hundred pounds. Somebody laughing there? Okay,

I'm telling you my waight, I forget it. But do

you know isn't that strong? That means that two of

us could actually lift the car. I'm not talking to me,

min No two of us could actually lift you know

a big car. Power of animals, huh? And the strength

of soil. The power of soil. Why soil powerful? You

plant the seed, it gives nutrients, big plants and crops.

Talking about economy, then scripture says, renew their strength. And

then they were what mount up? You know why mount up?

Because you went down. If you didn't go down, you

don't need to mount up. Your direction is up, mount up, climb,

That's what it means. With wings like eagles. Hey, do

you know that half of the body weight of the

eagle is for the muscles that drive its wings. That's

why is so so strong. Total body weight of the bird,

half of it is the muscles which muscle just for

the wings. I have actually seen documentaries where the eagle

has run off with a cheetah and carry it into

the air. How powerful do you think its wings need

to be? And then scripture says they will run? What

kind of run? And the scripture is talking about speedily

like how a courier runs, you know those days how

they get message across They give the letter, then the

follower run twenty miles. Give it to another fresh guy,

run another da any one of those guys run today

and they will beat the world champion anytime. A Seriously,

that's how they used to run. And it also refers

to running like horses. You think horses? Have they that?

No horses in reference to a powerful animal that runs

fast for long distances. And then scripture says, and you

will not be you are incapable of being. It means

that this is great news for us. You know that

means that we will never be. We will unable to be,

we will be incapable of being. And this last one impotent.

If we do not know what this word means. Men

do not like this, go in and look at up

the dictionary because I Am not going to get into

it now. But it means you know, you won't be this.

You will never be this, hey, guys, especially when you

go to seventy eighty ninety years old. Quote description. This

is what will mean in your marriage even though you

grow old. This is word, and not be wary. You

will not become tired, You will not become you will

not become wasted. Now you can understand why I said

there is no such thing as burner. Ah. Then scripture says, okay,

you cannot fly, right, cannot fly. What's the next thing

you can do? Run? Andy of at at very least

you cannot run. You know what you can do? You

can walk. Scripture says you can walk. It means you

become greater with time. You know, that's what actually this

word means, to walk, becomes greater, brighter, continually glow, you march, march.

You know what is strut? Strut is a you know,

it's a happy walk Saturday night fever, John de Walter,

that's a strut. Okay, Okay, you continually travel. So what

is the three movements? You fly? First, you get involved

with God. Your first step is actually flying, you know,

not walking? Aha? Is that shows you the extent of God.

Your first step is flying, a second is running, and

your last step is walking. Let's not talk about stopping.

You will not be weary, you will not faint. That's

what it means. You won't stop, you won't become exhausted,

you won't become weary. Guys, if you're burning out or

you're burnt out, what is your answer? It means you

have not waited upon the Lord. Because if you're waiting

upon the Lord. My scripture says you will renew your strength.

You will mount up with wings as egos. You will

run and not be wary, and you'll walk and you

won't faint. So when you burnt out means can only

tell me one thing. It means you've not waited upon

the Lord. You've copped out. You refuse to even approach

God about it. So you don't approach God. You winner,

you guaranteed loose. I will end with a few scriptures,

probably sixty and says commit your works to the Lord,

and your thoughts will be established. So that's side those

ideas that come in my head. I say, Lord, can

you help me? And then he brings those ideas to pass.

They are established. I see this work every time. That's

why I talk about those strange things, because I know

I cannot do it on my own. And you know

that's the next thing God put on my head. Now,

to refurbish my house, toilet myself. I'll show you pictures

when he's done. Then you tell me whether the Lord

was working or not. Okay, commit your works the Lord,

and your thoughts will be established. One pit of five

cents it cast all your cads on him, for he

cares for your time's up. Okay, cast throw all your

thoughts upon him, for he cares for you. Jesus cares

for you. He will catch those troubles from you. So

how do you get rid of it from your life?

Chuck it at him, Commit your way to the Lord.

Trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. Hey, guys,

life becomes you do not know how to look if

your look after your child. Commit your way to the Lord,

and he will bring it to pass. Be anxious for nothing,

but in everything by prayers application. This is than you.

This is the key with thanksgiving. Let your requests be

made known to God. And the peace of God, which

passes passes all understanding. Will God your hearts and minds

through Christ Jesus anxious, do not be worried about anything.

God is actually saying, there's nothing in this world that

can make you weary a worry to the point I

cannot help, or that should give you a lot of encouragement.

Matthew six thirty twenty sas. But seeking first the Kingdom

of God and his righteousness, and all these things will

be added unto you. This is how you live it man.

This is how you live it.
