You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
All right, So I'm continuing on this series on the
-
seven churches in the Book of Revelations. How many of
-
you caught at least the first three churches before? Yeah, okay,
-
some of you are not. If you follow me. Sometimes
-
I go to different churches. I go through with some
-
of you. I see some familiar faces who also I
-
see some other maybe bu or other places. You will
-
probably catch this series. But now we are covering the
-
seven churches on church number four, the church in Thyatira. Okay,
-
and this is a good one. Okay. I really need
-
you guys to open your bible. We're gonna go through.
-
We're gonna read through the scripture first, and then after
-
that I'm gonna go through line by line, Okay, as
-
much as I can. There's a lot of things. I
-
hope you'll take your have your notebooks with you as well. Okay.
-
Revelations Chapter two. I'm gonna read here from verse eighteen
-
all the way to verse twenty nine. Hey, verse eighteen
-
to verse twenty nine, and the title here says the
-
corrupt Church. Oh, it's Okay, So God also visits the
-
corrupt churches also. Oh, he doesn't just visit one church,
-
second another church, good church is only No, he also
-
visits the corrupt churches as well. So if your corrupt
-
church as well, God has a word for you as well. Oh,
-
so strong the word. Okay, let's learn about this. Okay,
-
let's learn and not you know what it means for
-
us our own lives, our own families. Okay, it's not
-
just worth church, it's for our own families as well.
-
And how to reinspect your own hearts. You know, where
-
are you? You know, so that we're not judging with
-
our own ruler, but according to the measure that God
-
has given in his word. Okay, that's the most important thing. Now,
-
Verse eating and to the Angel of the church in Thyatira. Right,
-
these things, says the Son of God. Oh, if you
-
read the other first three first three letters, right, Jesus
-
introduces himself as the son of Man. And this is
-
the first sign, he says, the son of God. Why
-
because in Thyatira they have what they call it, what
-
they called it, their host, the main pagan god their
-
worship is actually the god of Apollos. What what does
-
Apollo stands for the God of the Son or called
-
the Son of God? And God introduces himself in Thiatera
-
as the the true Son of God. Interesting A lot
-
of times are all these letters are always kind of
-
like in a way, you know, implying certain things. Okay,
-
But then he says, not just about the title, but
-
the attributes of the Son of God. Okay. I always
-
told you if every letter is not just about what
-
it writes, it's about how Jesus introduces himself. The way
-
that Jesus introduces himself. Give us fifty percent of what
-
Jesus is trying to give us, fifty percent of the
-
message that Jesus is trying to convey to the church
-
and the revelation that the church needs. Okay, how Jesus
-
reveals is what you need in your life. Okay. So
-
how did Jesus review himself as the one who has
-
eyes like the flame of fire and his feet like
-
fine brass. Let's continue reading, okay, And I say say,
-
I know your works love, service, faith, and your patience.
-
And as for your works, the last are more than
-
the first, means you are doing more than your previous thing. Nevertheless,
-
I have a few things against you, because you allow
-
that woman Jezebel, who calls her self a prophetess, to
-
teach and seduce my servants, to commit sexual immorality and
-
eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time
-
to repair of her sexual immorality immorality, and she did
-
not repent. Indeed, I will cast her into a sick bed,
-
and also commit adultry with her into great tribulation. Unless
-
the repent of her deeds, of their deeds, I will
-
kill her children with death. And all the churches shall
-
know that I am here who searches the minds and hearts.
-
And I will give to each one of you according
-
to your works. Now to you, I say, and to
-
the rest in Thioteria, as many as do not have
-
this doctrine, who do not know the depths, as who
-
have not known the depths of Satan. As they say,
-
I will put on you no other bird burden. But
-
hold fast what you have till I come. And he
-
who overcomes and keeps my works until the end, to
-
him I will give power over the nations. He shall
-
rule them with a rod of iron. They shall be
-
dashed to pities, pieces like the potter's vessels, as I
-
also have receive from my father, and I will give
-
him the morning star. He who has an ear, let
-
him hear what the spirit says to the churches, Oh strong,
-
how to preach this one long? This is a lot
-
of things to be unpacked here, But when we read
-
the Bible, we cannot choose one and we neglect the other.
-
We must read every single thing. We must know every
-
single thing. And this is a very actually a very
-
important passage for us to understand who God is, to
-
understand how we live our lives and what God, God
-
expects of our lives. Very very very important because a
-
lot of times we only know Jesus as the lover
-
of our soul. You know, there's only one version of Jesus,
-
Jesus the Lover of my soul, and nothing else. Jesus
-
loves me. Jesus loves me, you know, I mean, we
-
only know one. We only know one version. But any
-
other thing I'm with cross our eyes. No, no, no, no, no,
-
only one version Jesus loved my soul. We only sing
-
that song on it, okay. But here God reveals himself, okay,
-
as the Son of God, and it starts office saying,
-
who has the eyes like a flame of fire and
-
his feet like fine brass? Or in other versions it's
-
called feet with bronze on all days gone through fire?
-
Oh yes, you have shown ifs away from my kim
-
already release ready it must just releasees it? So what
-
does it mean? Like eyes like a flame of fire?
-
Does it mean that Jesus comes and shoots fires and
-
into our lives, into our user? Ah, you run, you know,
-
because Superman is chasing you, or in this case, it's
-
a cat shooting rainbows out there. I wanted to say
-
that was the best picture I found on but you
-
know now, now you know why they say that I
-
have a weird sense of humor. Right, Okay, I don't
-
know why me and cats. I blame Evan, you know, Evan,
-
my homie. Where are you? I blame you? Okay, feed
-
like fine brass? Okay, what does feed like prian brast mean?
-
Let's go into it. What does it actually mean? Now?
-
First of all, you must know the author. Who the author?
-
The author is, of course, the human author is John. Okay.
-
John has a certain type of writing that he tends
-
to write according to like like to link. He likes
-
to link Old Testament with New Testament. Again, that's his
-
style always, and sometimes he sees it's caught up in
-
a vision. He sees something that reminds him of the
-
Old Testament that he reads off and so a lot
-
of things when he refers to he referred to the
-
Old Testament, and sometimes he sees it cannot understand. He
-
will call it something with allegory, like some people will
-
say that he sees that. Ah, you know, he sees
-
something with like or not like dragon like moving dragons,
-
spouting like a fire. You know, it could be what
-
he saw a what's a modern day tank? But he
-
couldn't describe it because if you imagine if you were
-
in the olden times, if you see a tanker, what
-
would you describe it? Something with wheels they can move
-
and then shout out a bullet. You know, what do
-
you call it? So the only thing that can relate
-
to is that call it a dragon, but it's actually
-
a tank. But they can call it a tank because
-
that term has not existed time. But in this case,
-
what John Day was to refer a lot to the
-
Old Testament. Now the eyes like a flame of fire.
-
What does it actually mean, it does not mean literally
-
shooting up fire. What it means is that, okay, that
-
Jesus is the only one who is able to burn
-
all things, to remove all things, and to reveal all things. Okay,
-
the burning is not just to burn? Ah burn? Why burn?
-
The burning is always to reveal. Well, when we think
-
about burning, we think about burning forests, we think about
-
burning house. But a lot of times burning is about
-
refining as well. If I give you you know, you
-
collect something from the soil, you want to refine, goal
-
or you want to refine, find what is the imperities?
-
Just to remove imperities, what do you do? You burn? Okay, So,
-
eyes like a flame of fire refers to Jesus himself
-
being able to see everything. Now, when you think about
-
eyes like a flaming of fire, you think something like
-
that is very terrifying. But in fact this phrase is
-
meant to strike fear into the heart of everyone because imagine,
-
I mean, if God is here right now, how would
-
you feel right now and God is appearing right in
-
front of you? Would you be standing up here right now?
-
If I tell you there's a one there's a very famous,
-
a very powerful prophet who walks into the door and
-
wants to come up to the stage and starts to
-
want to come and pray for you. How many of
-
you want to be prayed for right now? I'm not
-
sure whether half will want to be prayed for. Some
-
of you will be very scared. You know why, because
-
you're scared. They know your sins. You be fearful. Some
-
of your God come into my life. You say, it's true,
-
you won't go into your life like I said, You
-
only want the Jesus lever of my soul version, you know.
-
But the Jesus who sees everything with eyes like a
-
flame of fire. You will be terrified because he sees
-
through every single thing, every every lie, every disguise, every excuse,
-
every desire you justify with. He will see through everything. Yeah,
-
me right, And that's why it's terrifying, terrifying in the
-
end of days. Uh, God doesn't have to do anything.
-
God doesn't have to show any miracles are just by
-
his presence along. People cannot stand him because they know this.
-
He sees everything. You know what I mean, right, Everything
-
your words mean nothing, all your powers mean nothing. His eyes,
-
like a flame of fire, will burn through everything and
-
see through the depths of your soul, you know. It's
-
it's like exactly. You know, when Abraham when he met
-
that three strangers by the in the in the cool
-
of the day, by the terriantry he was resting, or
-
he just got circumcised, he was like, oh, recovery and
-
tree strangers there, well, after second you still ran it
-
of go ahead, receive the fellow you know injur also
-
still received. Then the tree strangers came into the tenter
-
and then asked where is your wife or on the
-
other side in the tent as well. And then when
-
they told him that, hey, you by this time of
-
the year next year you will have a son and
-
you shall call him Isaac, what did Sarah do? She disbelieved,
-
you know, and laughed. And then the stranger asked, why
-
did Sarah laugh? Then Sarah got shot because she got
-
found through you know, physically and also spiritually found us exposed,
-
you know, she said, I did not laugh? Then what
-
got What did the strangers say? But you did laugh?
-
So God is revealing himself as the one who see
-
said knows everything. You know. We like now, we like
-
to when we asked we all ourselves we are simple.
-
We like to deflect, isn't it. Hey, let's don't talk
-
about me and let's talk about you. Let's talk come mean,
-
let's talk about other people who are corrupt. Let's talk
-
about me, and let's talk about the pastors, the Christians,
-
the other leaders pointed other people before you talk about yourself,
-
because it's easier to point at others mistakes and inferiority
-
than talk about yourself, isn't it. But God wants to
-
deal with you right now. What I told you today's
-
message will be very strong. But this is scripture. I
-
have to stick to it, isn't it. But that's the truth.
-
If you know I have to preach as if like
-
you will, you will not listen to another preacher already,
-
but they I'll tell you if I if they, I'm
-
the only preacher. I'll tell you the truth that this is.
-
This is what is teaching. Okay. God sees like a
-
flame of fire. Okay. Now, later on, if you don't
-
believe what I'm interpreting you, when you read through the
-
rest of the scripture, you will see this thing coming
-
over and over again. God sees. Now, then what does
-
it mean to have the feed like a bronze? Okay?
-
His feet like fine brass. Brass is bronze, Okay, bronze.
-
You know that in the ancient times, state is called
-
the age of bronze. Uh, some of you play civilization
-
or you know, you study history, you know there's there's
-
a time of bronze. There's copper, there is iron. Before iron,
-
there was the age of bronze. So people were using
-
bronze for tools and everything as well. And bronze is
-
actually always depict one not money, No bronze to the
-
break strength and power always, So when you read the
-
Bible and you talk about bronze, it's always about power
-
and strength. Now why at the feet because when your
-
enemies are at your feet means for the person you
-
have conquered. And when you conquer you have absolute power, judgment,
-
and you are the decider of the fate. You get
-
to render whatever that you decide, leave or die, you know,
-
especially when the enemy is on the floor already you decide.
-
Most of the time when you go to war, you're
-
number one Bible dropper. Of course you not to get killed.
-
But one of the things is that you never lose
-
your footing. Once you're at the ground, you drop ready.
-
You are very likely to die because you lost all
-
your advantages already. That's why when you wear sandals they
-
have spikes. You know, they cannot lose their footing. Yeah,
-
I mean, but the spies are also used for a
-
lot of things because if you read in the Book
-
of Joshua, especially when they had the second world, I
-
think was I can't remember which king was it, but
-
you know, I think it was the kings that ran
-
into the tree kings that ran into the cave, and
-
they thought they go high. But then after they killed
-
all the enemies, they asked the tree kings to come out,
-
and they asked the generals to put their feet on
-
top of the of the neck to symbolize what complete victory. Okay,
-
that's always what it means. Complete victory means, ah, you
-
don't do anything, but you just pressed down, done, but
-
didn't die. That whal guy die other way. But that's
-
what it always refers to. I forgot that I got
-
children here, so I need to be more careful with
-
my references. Okay, Today's Family Sunday or today's version a
-
bit more. Yeah, Okay, so that's what it always meant. Okay,
-
So burning browns means what means godly, and God's are
-
judgment and strength, not just to see, but to render judgment,
-
to conquer it all as well. Okay, now let's move on,
-
and he says here verse nineteen, I know your works,
-
your love, your service and faith, and your patience. As
-
for your works, the last are more than the first. Nevertheless,
-
I have a few things against you, because you allow
-
that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach
-
and seduce my servants, to commit sexual immorality, and eat
-
things sacrificed to idols. So clearly we see here the
-
second verse, here that Jesus, whose eyes like a flame
-
of fire, what he knows your works, The eyes like
-
a flame of fire will see the good will see
-
also they're not so good as well. Whatever that you're doing,
-
he knows, and he knows the scale all your good works.
-
He knows that your previous one is your your latest
-
good works is actually even better than your formal ones.
-
As well. He does know. He knows the scale, you know,
-
he knows the magnitude you all, how much it costs you,
-
What is the impact of what you do? As well?
-
He knows God measures everything more than we can even imagine.
-
You know, your thoughts and your good works are people.
-
God knows why now, what you give today, what you
-
give this year and last year. God knows right or wrong,
-
it's between you and him. But God knows. And so
-
when we start to go into detail what it starts
-
to change our perception about who God is. It's not
-
just the level of our soul is that's good. But
-
He's a God who sees and measures, you know, who
-
knows and measures, who is aware of every single thing
-
your good works. He knows your hair, he knows your dreams,
-
he knows your fears, he knows everything that you do
-
as well. And that has implication, you know, you know what.
-
That type of none of God has implications because it
-
changes our behavior. It changes suddenly put into our heart
-
that there is a reality of God that measures everything.
-
And when you start to realize that everything in your
-
life gets measured, you behave differently. When you go to worker.
-
Most of the time you know it, the bosses leave
-
you to do your own work, but you start to
-
behave differently when your both knows every minute what you do.
-
If you're work, you realize it's a completely different game.
-
You know you go to work different. Really, Oh, I
-
better make sure that I got to a letter five
-
minutes and not just for one and a half hour
-
to a letter. You know what I'm saying. And it's
-
a completely different game. You know, I'm not saying about
-
I'm not judging anyone. We've all been there before. We
-
all are fleshy, we all have things that we want
-
to take advantage off one. But knowing that God sees
-
and measures changes our hearts, you know, And there is
-
an appropriate fear of God that we should all have
-
in our lives. You get me, right, Oh, how can
-
we associate the love of God if you know the
-
Bible speaks differently? Grandmy, And that's why you must read
-
the entire Bible, not just John three sixteen. One. No,
-
that's the only God. You know, there's what a lot
-
of times that's the only limit of a lot of
-
Christians John three sixteen. But then you don't read relationship
-
to two. She really relationship to two? Like, Oh, God
-
is different. This Jesus is totally different from what I
-
expect at all, so different. But that is the Jesus
-
who reveal himself, not to the world, to the church
-
and all to the church and all, not to gent thousand, no,
-
not to unbelievable, but to the church themselves. Okay, now
-
it's sayings here. Nevertheless, I know your good works, but
-
he also sees the things that are wrong, that are corrupt.
-
I have a few things against you because you allow
-
that woman Jezebel. Oh, let's talk about Jezebel. Let's talk
-
a bit about Jesseebel. Help. Many of you know who
-
Jesseebel is. Some of you will know the story of
-
Jezebel from the story of Second Kings. I'm not gonna
-
go too much about it, okay, because of time and
-
I can talk at not just one someone can talk
-
an entire series about it. Okay, and some of you
-
it's like, yeah, that person has the spirit of Jezebel.
-
Oh you know, you go YouTube, we can hear a
-
dance of things about the spirit of Jezebel. I'm not
-
gonna go into that. Okay, you can teach an entire series,
-
but Jezebel or whether it's a person, okay, it's a
-
real person, or where that. Some people will talk about
-
the spirit of Jezebel, But technically the Bible doesn't say
-
the spirit of Jezebel. Okay, so we got to be
-
very careful. Oh you have the spirit of Jezebel. I'm
-
gonna be careful. You can say that things are not
-
of God like, okay, but be careful if you're wording
-
like because spirit of Jezebel. Oh, then the demon says, oh,
-
did you know that's my name? I do know that's
-
my name. But it's definitely some things are definitely demonic,
-
some things that are definitely evil. But you don't simply
-
call because you're so one character trait you have a
-
spirit of Jezebel. Please don't do that. Your one brotherly
-
and sister leader here, okay, just because he see PASSAMETSI
-
talking about this, I want to record this message and
-
send it to this person to listen right now. Do
-
you have a spirit of Jezebel. Don't do there. Please
-
don't do that. Don't send it to your wife. Please
-
don't do there. You're asking for trouble. We're gonna have
-
counseling sessions here, ready, you see. Then after that, all
-
the fact and all the husbands do that. Don't do that? Okay, Okay,
-
the spirit now Jezebel is a real person. Okay, there's
-
a few things we can we can cover about it,
-
but there's two parts that are wrong. First, the person
-
who may take on a lot of the what they
-
call it characters and the attributes of uh this what
-
they call it ungodly values and influencers. Okay, the person
-
having that Jezebel attributes. Then the other is the victim
-
of Jezebel's And you can see from these two parties, okay,
-
what they display, and God talks and addresses these too
-
as well. Okay, but let's talk about Jessebel herself in
-
this area the irony. Okay, it says there that she
-
calls herself a prophetess. That's the number one thing we
-
have to understand. She calls herself a prophetess kind of
-
powerful because uh, the first attribute that you have to
-
learn is that she will disguise herself. Okay, she will
-
disguise herself Isabel in the in the Book, in the
-
in the in the Second Kings in the Old Testament
-
was a queen. In No, she will not come to
-
you as someone who is the money, looks like a witch.
-
She will not look like that at all. She will
-
even look like a Christian. You know she will look
-
even look like a prophet and not displaying very powerful
-
words and not can teach very well, can even predict
-
things or can even decipher the world of God are
-
and tell you certain things in the right way or
-
one not. The first thing is this, guys, she so
-
powerful shake she could appear in the king's court having
-
influenced very very very very powerful. That's the first thing
-
we have to understand. Okay. Now the second thing we
-
learned here is that what does she do to teach
-
and seduce my servants to commit on and on? Okay,
-
so she disguises fl with an agenda to teach and
-
to seduce people. Okay, teaching, seducing and deceiving people. Of course,
-
then you see like what do they do? They commit
-
sexual immorality and they talk about food sacrifice to idols.
-
So when we wrap it all, we must synchronize. First
-
of all, what is her main goal? Let's talk about
-
the correct what is her main goal? Her main goal
-
firstly is to lead people into idolatry. You can talk
-
about controls and the first thing is to lead people
-
into idolotry. Tree. You must understand the number one thing
-
that this influence of Jezebel is to what is to
-
influence your worship more than anything else. Influence your worship
-
idolatry one person and keep your whole nation. Okay, what
-
you love the most, what you desire the most. Worship
-
is what worship is. You know, what you desire the most,
-
what you treasure the most, what you want the most,
-
what will become your lifestyle, your dominant lifestyle. What you
-
will practice without without a conscience, without a guilty conscience,
-
what you accept as the normal right now? That is
-
what worship is. No worship, it's not just bowing down
-
people think, or no worship is everything your life. Really, remember,
-
worship is a lifestyle. Okay. The number one goal is
-
to lead people into I doll the tree the Jezebel
-
in the in the Old Testament did the same thing
-
with the entire nation with the king a head as well.
-
Leading people into the worship of bel and Ashira bell
-
I basically worship black okay, so much so people will
-
offer their children for sacrifice. One you know, okay, very
-
extremely extremely evil. Okay. Her number one goal is to
-
lead people into idolatry. And her strategy okay, not in
-
sequence and not all as well. The first strategy is
-
to watch in the Old Testament in the New Testament
-
as well. Firstly is to find a weak host those
-
that are vulnerable. How many of you watch a movie
-
Dune before the latest one, part one and part two,
-
or some of you like to watch The Thinker. That's
-
a very spiritual movie. Here, very spiritual movie. Here, be
-
very careful, okay, watch, I can watch, but be very
-
discerning what what they imply a lot of things from
-
the other religion. They're very very powerful, okay. And there's
-
one part where as a scene there there's this the
-
Queen mother, okay, the one who has pregnant, and she
-
starts to having starts to have this agenda to to
-
spread disbelief or influence people. And you know what she said,
-
start with the weaker ones whoa It's like, you're scary
-
because you can't identify with real life. You know, people
-
who are vulnerable, people who were very impressionable. And you
-
see this not just and they're smart because if you
-
look at history, a lot of tyrants from World War
-
two to Germany to Hitler, they do these things as well.
-
You know when worl War started, when Hitler and the Nazis.
-
When they started, what did they do? They started with
-
her you and what did he said? What was the
-
famous quot whoever owns the you owns the future. So
-
their soldiers were made up of young people, and families
-
were more than happy to send the young people thinking
-
they were serving Germany. Did you know that they were
-
doing under They were being led by a vicious man.
-
Young people, very very young people people. So they were
-
always I'm not saying that young people are are just
-
weaker hosts, but they will always look for anyone. Why
-
because young people want to worship something well true or not.
-
Young people want to worship something. Okay, I was young.
-
I want to worship something. I want to idolize something.
-
I want to follow something. I want to become something
-
like that. So you look for a role model, whoever
-
it is to follow, to give your energy, your strength,
-
your focus, to be the next you know, TikTok or
-
YouTube superstar. To earn that million without going to a
-
single university. How howmy students we have here? Is there
-
your dream? Huh? Come out? You don't get rich up
-
when you work. You get rich before you get out
-
of college. That's what lot of students want, isn't it
-
get rich? So they already I know and I know
-
students are who ready started crypto and started all these
-
investing things. Are in college times are and they use
-
their tubition moneys. And when they come out of college,
-
they got into more debt. So instead of starting from zero,
-
they start with a negative ten in their life because
-
bad choices. Some of you that you know what I'm
-
talking about, that by its true that it's true. But
-
if you see the pattern of a queen of this
-
Jezebel in the in the Book of Kings, in the
-
second Kings, she started with King ahem ahep was already
-
weak king and the very disobedient king, evil King and
-
Queen Jessepea just happens to be the same time, same place,
-
targeting the weak host. They want a weak host. And
-
so when you understand that, you understand your own life.
-
How you are made vulnerable when you are in a very,
-
when you're made vulnerable, when your lives are not submitted
-
to God. You know, the opposite of being wig and
-
being vulnerable is submission, because why submission, Because when you're submitted,
-
the enemy knows there is a king in the city
-
you can mean. Right, the people may be wig but
-
the king is strong. You get what I'm saying, you know,
-
So the key to being strong is to be submitted.
-
It's a powerful thing. That's funnier. The key to be
-
strong and to be submitted, So to overcome ourselves to
-
being a weak host. That is, not to take more
-
vitamins that or mega trees, you know, no, is to
-
submit to God so that he can come into our lives. Okay,
-
so that virus cannot come in. You cannot be a
-
weak host. But this is an all entire na series
-
how to become a strong and a host and healthy
-
holder so that Jesus lives in us and not the enemy.
-
So the first thing, they're always looking for a weak host,
-
someone who is, you know, already tired of living as
-
a Christian. I talk to you to Christians, you know why,
-
because being a Christian at that time is tough because
-
they don't worship apon Us the sun. They are exempted
-
from a lot of markets, from a lot of commercial clubs,
-
and on guilts where you make all your contacts, mean
-
all the people, start your finances, you get connected, we
-
do all these things. You're already exempted from all greating already.
-
H you see them part you know that they are.
-
They are famous for their parties because of children, I
-
don't want say it, because of their really really horrible parties. Okay.
-
They eat and then they do really bad things with
-
other people as well to get the same time. That's
-
why it's together. It's not just one. It's eating the
-
food and then doing the immoral part together, not just separately.
-
That is why it was evil. Yeah, men, right, it's together. Okay.
-
So she was telling the people why you suffer as
-
a Christian when you don't eat, you get missed out
-
or anything. God already saves you. Ready, Oh, Jesus, is
-
the level of your soul If you see the sol
-
God understands you are. So that is why it labels
-
the Deep Teachings of Satan, you know. Oh yeah, the
-
exact way. In the same same passage. It's called the
-
Deep Things of Satan. You know. Oh, it's the same thing.
-
So the teachings pervert trying to make sense of your
-
Christian life to make it more bearable, more convenient. But
-
you must understand there's nothing in life that can replace truth. Nothing.
-
So if you want to be smart, you want be wise,
-
you want to be strong, you want to be discerning.
-
You must understand in life there are things that are irreplaceable.
-
Turn your neighbors and say, there are things in life
-
that are irreplaceable. Children, some of the things that your
-
mother and father tells you are doesn't matter who you
-
hang out with, doesn't matter what trending is are there
-
are things that will never change. You under say what
-
I'm saying. No, you don't understand it. You know they say that. No.
-
Children go through a few different stage now with their parents.
-
They idolize them, then they demonize them, and then lastly
-
they humanize them. They idolize them, they demonize them. Ah,
-
my parents the words. Oh, initially my parents are there, Yeah,
-
they mommy, I follow you everywhere. Then after that they
-
demonize the Oh why did my dad? Why supper under
-
this star? They other parents better. I want to get
-
out of everything. Oh, I'm like this because I messed up,
-
because all all these things are They say all the
-
bad things, because it's my background, it's my upbringing, it's
-
my parents. We say all these things that we've everything
-
about the path. But then when you become a parent yourself,
-
you start to earn your own money, and you start
-
to earn, You start to make your own mistakes and
-
live through your mistakes. You start to realize, how did
-
they actually do with you? At me? Right? You start
-
to humanize them, wow, And then you start to realize
-
I need to spend time with them. They start to
-
realize I need to get parenting advice from them. How
-
many of you know what I'm talking about here? True
-
or not? I'm not saying this on the Bible that
-
this is what I read. You idolize them, you demonize,
-
then you start to humanize them. So I'll pray it
-
is that you get over the demonization very quickly. Okay,
-
get quickly over that, and soaday you start to humanize,
-
then your empathy start to realize that oh wow wow. Okay,
-
So please don't demonize your parents at pleace, no matter
-
what it's been done before. Don't. Don't don't understand okay, okay,
-
noted on the times? Everybody doing Okay, so far? Okay,
-
So I don't know how much it's time to spend
-
on this. Okay, you'll find a weak holes okay, there
-
will you temptation and lust. Okay, after you're annoying you're
-
wik what do you long for? What are you tempted with? Lust?
-
Not just things of the flesh, food, money, opportunity. Do
-
you get mean like people of the other parties as well,
-
all these things, lifestyles, fear of missing out and everything
-
your future in your life. It's like, oh, you could
-
have a lot, a lot more blessed, blessed living here.
-
But yet you know if you every someday just come
-
to church, so boring. Ah, that's it, that's life. And
-
they will tempt you because of the flesh man. They
-
will undermine authority. She calls herself a profit. You know,
-
there's not someone who submitted to authority. Okay. She wants control. Okay,
-
everything that symbolizes anything to a threat. She will say that, oh,
-
you are a tyrant, you are authoritarian. You cannot accept feedback.
-
But she herself cannot accept feedback. Right. You call every parent,
-
every boss, every pastor, every leader over your life as
-
a tyrant. Someone tried to control you because she cannot
-
suck me, cannot cannot. Okay. She will confused and she
-
will mislead. That's why she's She loves to teach, love,
-
to teach, teach Sumasa until I can confuse. People want
-
to know she was it was saying there she was
-
teaching all sorts of things, telling people to make, to
-
twist and to make things they are wrong, and to
-
write again, or soa take one piece of paper and
-
can become a flower. One know, that's what they'll do
-
to the Bible. They will take and they will cook
-
with all the ingredients from the Bible. Are okay, every
-
all the ingredients will be coming from the Bible, but
-
yet come out something very immoral. One know, huh? How
-
to do that? Are so every ingredient from the Bible,
-
but yet to be something so twisted. You know, that's
-
how good of a teacher she will be of a
-
person with this kind of attribute, and they will start
-
to replace, teaching you to replace things substitutable can be replaced.
-
This one on it, put out this one, this one
-
on it, put out church not it, giving no serving
-
on it, family, no need quiet time on it. Replace, replace, replace, replace,
-
And then suddenly you look at your life. It has
-
no semblance of God leadiness, you know, no semblance. You know,
-
it's like the temple of God. Every single article being taken,
-
not take, can not taken out. You go to a
-
temple of God. You you don't recognize it until Jesus comes.
-
I have to whip it out and know you n
-
say what I'm saying, No semblance. Sometimes that's why you
-
see people who are going through depression now or bring
-
going through a really tough what they call it influencer.
-
You look at that lifeer, This is not the person
-
I know five years ago, ten years ago. No semblance.
-
You not either they not things have been wronged from them,
-
or they don't realize they replaced so many things, so
-
many things in their lives unrecognizable, and all these things
-
start to build up into a person that they shouldn't be. Okay,
-
let me move on the characteristics of a person with
-
a spirit Jezebel controlling, rebellious, prideful, deceitful, seductive. Okay, let's
-
move on now. So what does God say after he
-
reveals about this Jezebel and the sins and then this
-
corruption that's happening in the church. He says here in
-
verse ty one is very important. Now, so God reveals
-
himself as the one with the eyes of a flaming fire.
-
All this one God sees everything. Okay, now he says
-
he in verse tenty one, and I gave her time
-
to repent of her sexual immorality. So God, who is
-
whose fits are like fine, brazen, or like north or bronze,
-
going through fire strong. But yet when he and yet
-
in the same time, when he but they call it
-
ministers to this church frine, what does he do? He
-
gives them time to repent. God is merciful. God gives
-
them time to repent. He said of her sexual marity,
-
and she did not repent, time to repent, but did
-
not repent after exposing. And there's always God, God, were exposed.
-
Give your time to repent. And if you choose not
-
to repent, what does God do? God says that the
-
next plague will come, and which is I will cast
-
her into a sick bed, and those who commit adultriate
-
with her into a great tribulation unless they repent of
-
that is another mercy. Things will happen to you othertimes.
-
I God don't have to push you know, He just
-
let you follow that woman, follow the influence and see
-
where you go, and things will happen because he's the wrong,
-
wrong way. God doesn't do anything right now. But sometimes
-
God allow things will happen. What is his act of mercy?
-
So that you start to wonder why things are happening
-
to you? You know, like some of you you know
-
are you make bad decisions that you know are you
-
suffer the consequences and you after years you're like, it
-
was God's mercy. You know, God walk me up and
-
all I could not I have woken up until I
-
suffered it. You know, you someone, Oh, it doesn't mean
-
it makes sense to go to No, you may not
-
make sense of it. But as time passes, in the
-
completion of time, you start to realize that was God's mercy.
-
If you time to repair, you don't want second time again.
-
Let things happen to you see whether you want to
-
repent or not. You don't want all these are God's messy.
-
And then thirdly, what happens. Okay, and I will kill
-
her children with death, and all the churches shall know
-
that I am he who suggest the minds in the heart. Ah.
-
So you think that God will never deliver a final judgment.
-
He will, people, He will deliver after giving you chances
-
and chances again, there will be a final judgment that comes.
-
Make no mistake about it. Okay, make no mistake about
-
it some of you. And this is to the churches
-
that people are this not to the outside. Well, this
-
is to the church. So it means that firstly, the
-
first audience, intended audience is you and I are know
-
there is such a sequence that there is a warning
-
and there is a final judgment one at all for
-
even for believers. You know, we are held accountable one
-
and all. That's why we have to get out of
-
this idea that we only have one version Jesus the
-
world my soul. Really, you know, I know it sounds scary,
-
but it's needed you all. It's really needed you. You
-
don't believe me, go ahead read it again. A pastor,
-
you're teaching completely. You don't teach much about grace. Wan,
-
I'm teaching this is grace. This is grace. You one
-
foind you want to find more grace, find other preachers. Sorry,
-
I will teach you the Word of God complete. A
-
to Z. I don't take. I don't take A or
-
B or C only one. I teach A to Z everything.
-
If you don't believe you consistently you read the other
-
seven churches or so consistently. What is the messaging? Okay,
-
the churches we need, So it's a it's all why
-
we need to tell it because you and I start
-
to have a different response. You know you cannot if
-
you are going to something right now doing something. I
-
don't know what it is. We all are. We need
-
to start responding. We need to respond, okay, and how
-
do we respond? Before I got there? Before I finish
-
going to the response part, God judgment, let me finish it,
-
casting on to sit back, great tribulation and finally death
-
and God, why does God execute the final judgment? Because
-
he wants all to know that all may know. People
-
know what that God who sees is a goe who
-
got judges as well. He will not judge you, just
-
for your sake enough for all to see as well,
-
because my glory and my holiness will not be undermined.
-
But I will give you mercy until there's a certain time.
-
Get me right, mercy. It doesn't mean that you tolerate forever.
-
The mistake of the church was to tolerate. With that ending,
-
God says that I will give you mercy for a
-
time and I will see how you will respond. So
-
there's a responsibility on our end. And no, because God
-
have mercy what is your response, God, have mercy? What
-
are you going to do? Okay? For all to know
-
our response, it's firstly to first of all to discern
-
what are the wrong influences in our lives? Is your
-
friends that you meet up with, books, the games, the movies,
-
the people that you hang out with. What do you
-
feel every day? Okay? What did Jesus say that? What did? What? What? What? What? What? What?
-
What did? God says? There? He says in verse twenty four.
-
Now to you, I say, and to the rest entireterial
-
as many do not have this doctrine, who have not
-
known the depths of satan, as they say, I will
-
put on you no other burden. But how fast what
-
you have to? I con't you need to hold fast? Okay,
-
hold fast to what you have, which is the good
-
works the sum. A lot of times are a lot
-
of things that you do you don't know other you
-
don't realize that are other things that saved you. You know,
-
did you know that the things that you hold on
-
to other things that actually saved you? But there are
-
things that holding on that are also killing you? Or
-
so sometimes I don't feel like coming to Sunday. Oh
-
why I give I could spend a Sunday go play
-
golf and go and connect with my friends. That's what
-
my friends tell me. And actually, you know, because playgo
-
had to spend a lot of time. I'm not saying
-
plaining one goff bye, It's just random things. But this
-
is what I got before. Okay, when I was working,
-
people asking asking me to play go off on Saturday
-
and Sunday. God on if I'm not attending church, I
-
tell you I got a lot messages inviting me to
-
do a lot of things I want to know at
-
least I here God all things. I can connect with friends,
-
do a lot of things. I can. I can spend
-
the Saturday night even way longer as well, coming to Sunday.
-
Oh why for waking up early doing money, doing devotion?
-
What for give money? But you don't know these are
-
the things that you do and you hold on that
-
actually saves you, and these are actually the mercies of God.
-
You know. Listening to that voice or that parent's voice
-
who kept telling me the same thing again and again,
-
I'm so sick of it already telling me the same thing.
-
But you don't realize that that is the actual voice
-
that is continually holding you on that that onto that rope.
-
You know before you go off, you can't mean right.
-
So you have to discern what is the what are
-
the things that are trying to save you and the
-
things that are trying to destroy you? Or hold on
-
to it? And the lastly is to overcome verse twenty six.
-
And he who overcomes and keeps mind works until the end.
-
To him, I will give power over the nations. So
-
how do we how do we uh, what do they
-
call it? What do they call it? Respond to this
-
problem in our lives? Jessebel spirits the world? What are
-
we called to do? If you read from Genesis chapter four,
-
verse sixty seven, remember the story of Caine enable Okay, yes,
-
I drator close Genesis chapter four, verse sixty seven. Caine
-
gave an offering that was inferior to able. God made
-
no very clearly. But it's not just about what is inferior.
-
There was something happening in Kane's heart. And then the
-
Lord actually was the first pastor, not God was the
-
first pastor that time, no church. Okay, So God himself
-
look at Kane as something brewing in Kane. God himself
-
actually when a minister do counseling. Okay, this is the
-
first counting. This is the first counseling session with seeing
-
the Bible, first counseling session God and Kina. Okay, what
-
did God come? How did God counsel King? God said?
-
Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
-
If you do well, will you not be accepted? Okay,
-
So there's this first part. If we do well, what
-
is right, God will accept. Then if you do not
-
do well, then this is the other side of the
-
of the door. Seen lies at the door, and it's
-
desires for you, but you should rule over it. So
-
what are we looking for? What is King looking for acceptance?
-
And if you do well, God will accept you offering
-
in your worship. But there is another there's another part.
-
Who is not supposed to be in your house looking
-
to invite you as well? Seen crouching at your door.
-
A lot of times we look at sin now as
-
this tiger and not wanting to eat as Oh what
-
if I tell you sin it's a very beautiful lady,
-
a handsome k pop idol. You know, boy, what if
-
Sinney is crouching at the door, then who hallo? Your
-
daddy rejected you is it Father not treating you well?
-
Come follow me? Sin? It is lying in your door.
-
I told you Jesebel, always discribe themselves. What do you
-
think of that? No desire is for you. They want
-
you more than I. They want you to accept them,
-
to receive them. Always. It not to sin to exect
-
your vengeance, to a bloodshed, to kill your brother. Do
-
all these things enticing you all, and you'll be satisfied,
-
to fulfill every desig of your flesh. But what did
-
God say? Even if you do not do well, you
-
must what rule over it? Must rule? To rule means
-
we have a responsibility to overcome. We are not entitled.
-
We have a responsibility and active responsibility. To say no
-
means God believes that you and I have the capacity
-
and the will power to say no. And it's all
-
our responsibility. You cannot say, God, I'm simple in the flesh.
-
I cannot resist it. No, no, no, no such excuser. Yes.
-
But God has given us every measure, every truth to
-
be able to rule over it. So Genesis chapter four,
-
first counseling session. How does God counsel king rule over it?
-
Revelations chapter two, How does Jesus tell the church to
-
overcome it, conquer it. The same thing from day one
-
to then. Overcoming. You must attempting, not some of us
-
already gave up conquering, sining. You know you know what
-
I'm saying. You know you gave up. That's the problem.
-
You gave up conquering. It's not because I feel hopeless,
-
but because your heart desires flesh more than anything else.
-
But today the call is for us to rule over it,
-
to rule by how like I said, by submitting to God.
-
There must be a king in the city I said.
-
I'm saying, no, there must be a king in the city.
-
You it's funnier, it's kind of ruer. The flesh tells
-
us to rule by taking charge, but the spirit tells
-
us to rule by submission. Fannier, It's really upside down.
-
It's so weird. How can you rule by submitting? I
-
rule by submitting because I surrender. When I surrender, mes
-
I just lie Passif you I surrendered by saying God,
-
everything whatever did you say is true, not my flesh.
-
Whatever did you say is true? If I did wrong,
-
I missed it. I'm gonna stand up again. Your forgiveness
-
is me. I'm gonna submit to you I'm gonna plead
-
the bron leg I'm gonna rule over it. I'm not
-
gonna make excuses. You know what I'm saying. You know,
-
that's a totally different type of Christian. You all very
-
different type of Christian. You're not. There's a Christian who said, oh,
-
I forgiveness. I don't have to. I don't have a
-
responsiblity rule over. God's gonna forgive me forever and never Already, No,
-
because I'm submitted, there is a king. I'm gonna listen,
-
I'm gonna rule over it. You know I'm saying. You know,
-
God knows everything. God sees my heart and everything, and
-
he as he tramples over scene and there I'm gonna
-
live my life victoriously, and I'm gonna rule over my
-
simple nature one day at a time, One day at
-
a time. You look at teach you not to look.
-
You're like, okay, you know, simple decision. I don't feel
-
like waking up. I wake up again. Even the word
-
tells us to rule over there isn't it? You want
-
to someone cut you ready? Oh? I want to anger
-
rule over it. You can't mean right, said God? No
-
my feelings by yours ruling over it. Someone telling you, hey,
-
Gambola take DRUGSLA do this SOUTHINGSTA you rule over it?
-
Want to be unforgiving one, to be rebulous with your parents,
-
with your children? How rule over it? That's how we
-
are and not every day. Every single decision we do.
-
Every single day we continually take hold of territory. We
-
cannot give up. And see what I'm saying, Come, let's
-
stand together.
-
