  1. You're listening to a message to go from ax Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Awesome.

  4. Let's read at Luke seven, verse eleven to seventeen. I

  5. have that on screen, says here. Now it happened the

  6. day after that. He went into a city call nine

  7. or nine, and many of his disciples went with him,

  8. and a large crowd. And when he came near the

  9. gate of the city, behold, a dead man was carried,

  10. and the only son of his mother. And she was

  11. a widow, and a large crowd from that city.

  12. Was with her.

  13. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her

  14. and said to her, do not weep. And then he

  15. came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried

  16. him stood still, and he said, young man, I say

  17. to you, arise verse fifteen. So he who was dead

  18. sat up and began to speak, and he presented him

  19. to his mother. Then fear came upon all, and they

  20. glorified God, saying, a great prophet has written among us,

  21. and God has visited his people. And this report about

  22. him went throughout all Judea and all the surrounding region.

  23. Thank God for the reading.

  24. Of his word. So this story is about.

  25. I love how this story ends, and it says God

  26. visited his people. I would love that when we meet

  27. on Sunday, that we feel like, wow, God visited this place,

  28. not some speaker from ex Melbourne, not from any plan

  29. other name, no other name, by the name of Jesus,

  30. that when you're experience him, you go like wow, I

  31. felt God's presence here. And that's the ultimate goal that

  32. we journey on as believers, so that we experienced Him

  33. and some of us. God has been impressing on my

  34. heart that some of you you're starting the year, it's

  35. a fresh year, but like this lady, you've got some issues.

  36. Some things which are not going right. It says you.

  37. And Luke seven it says, let's read that again that

  38. he the dead man, was being carried out the son

  39. of his mother and she was a widow. That's really tragic, right,

  40. how many of you think So it's a son a

  41. dead man, first dead man, and then.

  42. She was the only son and then she.

  43. Was a widow. When I read that, I went like, wow,

  44. this is this is bad, Like how bad?

  45. Can it be? Right? This is bad?

  46. The only son is dead and he was carried out

  47. the only son of his mother, and she was a widow.

  48. And God was speaking to me that some of us

  49. you might be in that place. No, maybe you don't

  50. have a dead child, but some dreams have died. Maybe

  51. last year you're believing for something and then God didn't

  52. come true. You feel like God, You feel that God

  53. didn't come true. But maybe you don't know that God

  54. is working things for our good. You feel like, ah, God,

  55. you didn't come true for me last year.

  56. Too bad.

  57. If you don't know God already. Read the book of Hebrews.

  58. Hebrews eleven speaks about the characters of faith. Read about

  59. all the different people who came before us and they

  60. were living a life of faith.

  61. I'm going to read you.

  62. I was just reminded just now that in Hebrews eleven,

  63. verse thirty nine, if you have your bible's turned to me,

  64. turn with me. Now, turn to me, turn with me

  65. to eleven. Hebrews eleven, verse thirty nine.

  66. That's on this.

  67. For some of you who are there, you feel that

  68. God has abandoned you, you or you haven't received your

  69. breakthrough Hebrews eleven, verse turning out you guys there, let's

  70. read that together. It says, all these people earn a

  71. good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them

  72. received all that God has promised. So this chapter actually

  73. talks about all the people like you know, Great, the Great,

  74. the whole of not faith, fame, but the whole of faith.

  75. And you've got so many characters that You've.

  76. Got Abel, You've got Abraham, you've got Noah. All these

  77. people came, and yet that verse said they did not

  78. receive all God has promised. And so I'm here with

  79. you because I'm also in that boat like as a family.

  80. I don't know where the I didn't plan to share this,

  81. but I want to tell you that God is real.

  82. God is faithful, and God journeys with us where the

  83. we get what we want or we don't, God is

  84. still faithful. And I'm just bringing this message because I thought,

  85. let's be real.

  86. We're family.

  87. I'm just another church punter in Melbourne doing some things.

  88. Last year or the year before and the year before,

  89. Delia and myself. We've had Sophie. If you don't know,

  90. dearI is my wife. Sophie is my daughter, and so

  91. we had.

  92. A child.

  93. Yes, Sophie is my daughter. And after a couple of years.

  94. We had some tragic birth story. Okay, ask me about

  95. it and next time. But after that, the doctor saw us,

  96. don't ever try again. The ACG you do us, don't

  97. try because your body cannot take it. You nearly died,

  98. give up and stuff for that. So we're like, okay.

  99. And after two years they get They say, if you

  100. want to try, after two years, until your body is

  101. fully healed, them maybe you seek some specially then you try.

  102. So we were like, so after two or three years

  103. we decided, okay, we're gonna try. And then guess what, yay,

  104. Dina got pregnant last year and so we were we

  105. were like yeah, and then Dealer says, we know how

  106. we're going to tell Sophie she's not going to be.

  107. The only chow anymore.

  108. And said, the Dealer's really excited, right, So she's like,

  109. I'm going to tell I'm going to tell her. I'm

  110. going to break it to her. And I said, don't, don't.

  111. Don't sport a surprise. And on one of the Sundays

  112. we were serving together, I think Dealer is a chaperson.

  113. I was on that day. I was speaking, I was

  114. playing the guitar, and then Suddenly she looked at me

  115. and she says, ah, like of this pain and it's hurting,

  116. and so I was thinking, okay, hang in there. And

  117. so right off the church we decided, hey, let's we

  118. love the fellowship.

  119. But we had to tell her to say hey, we've

  120. we've got it.

  121. So we booked an appointment, went to the doctor and

  122. we found out not so great news that hey, you

  123. know what you're having. The doctors just said you're having

  124. a miscarriage. So we were like, oh wow, that's how

  125. it feels. It's not a great feeling, but we're like okay.

  126. And what makes it worse is we had to wait

  127. from three pm up to eight pm because in the

  128. Australian public system, they feel like miscarriage not so important,

  129. so you can just can't wait.

  130. Other emergencies are important.

  131. So we're like, okay, maybe we waited there till eight

  132. o'clock and then they say like, look, your daughter's sleepy,

  133. you know what, why don't you bring her home? And

  134. then you guys go and then I'll take a cat

  135. back there. It is the worst thing as a husband

  136. to think about, like, wow, how can I leave my

  137. wife who's going through this and go home. I said, God,

  138. surely you are good, Surely you can come true. And

  139. so got that long story shot. I went back home,

  140. gave Sophia shower, gave us some food, brought some food

  141. along along the way. She fell asleep in the car,

  142. reached Pigtavor back and then we went back home and

  143. I said, hey, you know what, it's okay. God is

  144. still with us. God is still good. And then she says, yeah.

  145. And I don't know why this happened. I thought I

  146. was being careful, and I said, no, look, it may

  147. not be you, but we still have to believe that

  148. God is faithful.

  149. God is good and so true.

  150. That season, God was teaching me that, hey, you know what,

  151. you may not receive the good that you think, but

  152. I have a better plan, and true that as we

  153. shared that journey with our church, we found out that, hey,

  154. you know what, God used our story to lead others

  155. to know that, hey, you know what, God is a

  156. god not just of good times, but true bad times

  157. as well. True the pain true, the sorrow, true, the

  158. persecution true. Whatever you're going through at home, he is

  159. still faithful and He's still there. And I read this

  160. verse then that Lord, you were the god of all

  161. these heroes, and they never saw you, they never saw

  162. the fulfillment. So I'm here this share with some of

  163. you that I don't know who I'm sharing with that

  164. maybe are believing for something. But God is saying, even

  165. though if you don't see it, can you trust me?

  166. How do we break it to Sophie?

  167. We were thinking that we have to tell him because

  168. she felt something's going on. We felt like, oh, and

  169. so we said, she said, Mommy, am I going to

  170. have her sister deck hand boss and not not boss,

  171. but uh that I can't care for? And then we

  172. tell we'd always say like, actually, mummy was wasn't feeling

  173. so okay, So we.

  174. Didn't get the baby.

  175. Then she said oh, and then she said I know

  176. I know why, Daddy, And then we're thinking, oh, no,

  177. what is she gonna say? How are we gonna explain?

  178. And she said, I think because I pray, and she's

  179. been praying every week you go and pray for Mammy's tummy.

  180. And she said, I think Jesus has no stock in

  181. heaven because I've been praying for a baby girl, and

  182. maybe there's no more baby goes in heaven. So there's

  183. no stock, and then I was driving, I said, yes, yes,

  184. there's no stock or baby goes in heaven like like

  185. Elven saying all the boys, you're right. So I was like, oh,

  186. thank God, you explain it to her that way, no

  187. stock in heaven. Great, don't have to explain to her.

  188. Right months to come, you discover what we went through.

  189. But true that period we journey it as a family together,

  190. and I think it was tough for Delia to go

  191. through it while serving. I don't know about women going

  192. through these kind of circumstances. And that's why I look

  193. at like past Elvin and Jazz and the team here.

  194. I know the labor, the sacrifices you make, not just

  195. leaders here, but everyone's serving that you're going through stuff

  196. and sometimes no one knows. And I'm here to tell

  197. you that God knows. Luke seven, verse eighteen, it says

  198. the Lord saw her and he had compassion on her,

  199. and he said, do not weep. And God saying to

  200. some of you today that God is he knows what

  201. you're going through, saying, do not weep, do not be afraid.

  202. So how can we be more like Jesus is? Some

  203. of you you know that that movie The Passion of Christ. Right,

  204. I think you've got your own Jesus here?

  205. What's his name? You you sing? Yushing? Got it right? Right?

  206. You should follow and become more like not but in

  207. that sense to be more christ Like, it's not just

  208. to have passion. A lot of us. You can have passion,

  209. you can be jumping on the stage. But compassion is

  210. another sense. Compassion is where God really dwells in, God

  211. really moves in.

  212. Let's read that. What is compassion?

  213. Maybe I'll give you a quick glimpse on what is

  214. compassion compassion?

  215. There's two words here. I'll read you the.

  216. Hebrew meaning first, which is the word can anyone pronounce that?

  217. Rakhum is r a k h m kind of thing

  218. which is full of compassion, merciful?

  219. You understand that. So that's compassion. That's what we know.

  220. When you say someone is compassionate, we feel like, oh, yeah,

  221. the person's merciful. But the Greek meaning it's this funny

  222. word almost feels like sliver coming out of you, which

  223. is splack needs mine or no me, which means to

  224. be moved as to one's bowels. Funny right, to move,

  225. to be moved as to one's vowels hands to be

  226. moved with compassion, having to have compassion as though your

  227. bowels are known to be the seat of love and pity.

  228. So when I thought I read this verse, I'm like,

  229. oh my gosh, like vowels. Every time I think of bowels,

  230. I think of toilet. Right, But then I thought about no, Actually,

  231. when the word compassion comes in is when you see

  232. something and it hits you in the guy, I need

  233. to do something about it, to be moved, not just

  234. out of pity, but hey, you know what, I'm going

  235. to do something about this. I'm gonna move to us this,

  236. I'm gonna change this situation. And that's what compassion. That's

  237. the same compassion that Jesus had when he saw this lady.

  238. When he saw this condition, he said, hey, know what

  239. Jesus had compassion. It was not like, oh, Jesus felt

  240. like I need to go to toilet, guys. No, he

  241. went like, I need to step in and I'm going

  242. to show you. Many verses are a couple of examples

  243. here that God moves with compassion, not just hey, you

  244. know what I'm passionate about Jesus. I'm passionate about church,

  245. but hey, Let's move with what Goddess? What is God's

  246. heart for us? Let's read Exodus thirty five, verse five

  247. to six. It says, here the Lord descended in the

  248. cloud and stood with him, and there there proclaimed the

  249. name of the Lord. The Lord passed before him, the Lord,

  250. the Lord, your God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and

  251. abounding in goodness and truth. So compassion is part of

  252. his nature. When he introduced himself, read that to Moses,

  253. he introduced himself as not good looking, not kind, but

  254. his introduced his introduction of self introduction. Here it says,

  255. the Lord, the Lord, your God, merciful and gracious, merciful, compassionate.

  256. Exodus thirty four, vers six says, the Lord passed in

  257. front of Moses right and some of us. God, you

  258. think that God is merciful to other people and his

  259. God and just he walked past you, God saying no,

  260. I see you, and I want you to journey with me,

  261. even through the heartache, even through the unmad dreams, God

  262. is wanting to be merciful to us. Jesus moved with compassion.

  263. Matthew fourteen, verse fourteen says, when Jesus went out, he

  264. saw a great multitude, and he was moved with compassion.

  265. He was moved with compassion for them and heal they're sick.

  266. And then there's a leper story in my one. Verse

  267. forty says a leper came to him, imploring, kneeling down

  268. to him, saying to him, if you're willing, you can

  269. make me clean. And Jesus moved with church compassion and

  270. stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him,

  271. I'm willing be cleansed. So I'm just giving you examples

  272. to let you know that Jesus, yes, he was passionate

  273. about him his father's business, but he was compassionate to

  274. reach more people, to save, to heal, to deliver, to

  275. set the captives free. That's the God that I know.

  276. And I'm here to encourage you that God sees you.

  277. I want you to know that God knows what you're

  278. going through. I don't know who has started the year.

  279. And you're thinking, like I feel that this situation is dead.

  280. John ten.

  281. Verse ten, it says the thief comes but to kill, steal,

  282. and destroy. But I've come to give you life and

  283. live more abundantly. And so when I read this verse

  284. this morning was reminded that hey, you know what, the

  285. thief and the story came to kill that son, stole

  286. the son from the lady, and then destroyed her life.

  287. Did she have a husband?

  288. No?

  289. In that sequence, he came to kill, to destroy, and

  290. to steal from this lady. And what does Jesus do.

  291. Jesus steps in and he goes, I'm here and I'm

  292. gonna move. I'm gonna start off afresh. That which you

  293. think is dead, God can raise your life. And so

  294. I'm here to bring you that word that hey, let's

  295. focus on being compassionate. Maybe it's maybe it's you're studying

  296. here right now.

  297. If that's here in this space, great, You're like.

  298. Yeah, news resolution, I'm ready to spring out. But God

  299. is challenging you. Hey, look around. Not everyone is starting

  300. in a good place. Can you be moved? Can you

  301. step out? Can you be compassionate? Look up for that

  302. one the campus team that they said like, oh, only

  303. one person can that was invited. I'm like, hey, you

  304. do not know who you're reaching sometimes, and that one

  305. Jesus left. He explained that leave the ninety the one

  306. hundred ninety nine for that one, and so that one

  307. life can be important, God, ask God this year, Lord

  308. show me that one Lord helped me to be more compassionate. Lord,

  309. give me that compassion to move. Amen, let's read on this.

  310. So number one is to be compassionate. Number two, if

  311. you're taking notes, is be bold. This is something that

  312. some of us. I think most of us need to

  313. work on being bold. Luke seven, verse thirteen. Lord Lord

  314. saw her, and he had compassion on her and said,

  315. do not weep?

  316. How do you tell someone don't cry? Are reading? Let's

  317. be practical. If someone's you go the funeral.

  318. Most of you have been to a funeral before, some

  319. of you, And then you reach the people that he said, guys,

  320. don't cry. I'm like, whoa, How can you tell people

  321. don't cry? The only way you can tell someone not

  322. to cry is if you have a better solution. And

  323. he came touched the open coffin, and those who carry

  324. it around him stood still, and he said, young man,

  325. I say to you, arise, And he who was dead

  326. set up and begin to speak, and he presented him

  327. to his mother. So there's that boldness, knowing that I'm

  328. coming not in the authority of death, but coming in

  329. the one who has sent me the Father, and He's

  330. given me life and life more abundenly, I'm going to

  331. proclaim it over this life. So that's the God that

  332. we serve. And I'm here to encourage you that, Hey,

  333. you know what, you can do that as well. And

  334. most of us need to step out in that faith

  335. because that's what the Will needs. Doesn't need more Christians

  336. who are trying to become like the world needs more

  337. Christians who are more christs Like. So I'm here to

  338. encourage you as I am learning that. You know what,

  339. Let's let's be more christ Like. Let's be more bold

  340. in the calling that He has called us to be.

  341. When I told our church back in Melbourne that hey,

  342. I'm preaching XPG and how's your minded From the team,

  343. They're like, oh yeah, that's that's one of our plans

  344. that send the most people across Do you know that XPG.

  345. Whether you know it or not, you guys have sent

  346. so many people to Australia. Thank you for sending them, teens,

  347. campus students, young workid outs. We've got some of our leaders.

  348. So most of y'all know Elo and Hanson and and Jaden,

  349. and then you know Island and Kiko. I don't know

  350. where you know, Ilen Kicko. They are leading on West

  351. Holmes and they're they're reaching homes a demographic of people

  352. that is just way out in the west. It's like

  353. one I went twenty minutes away from us. That's where

  354. they live. And they're reaching a group of people who

  355. are not even in church. And then I was reminded

  356. of this story which I wanted to share with you.

  357. Is this guy, this teen who came to our church

  358. and I think passe Alvin knows him. And so this

  359. teen and I told him, I said, his name is Hanson.

  360. I don't know where you'll know him. He was when

  361. he was here, I think he was like nine or ten.

  362. And then he moved to Australia. He followed his family there,

  363. and I landed in Australia the year after. And so

  364. he said, hey, passes shows. He was a cute kid then,

  365. and so he came up with he said, Hi, I'm

  366. from XPJ bus Elvin sent me here. I said, oh,

  367. And then I was like, oh wait this day he

  368. said ring Wood. Then I said wow, ring Wood. So

  369. where's that He's like? So I googled it up and

  370. I was like, wow, that's forty minutes by train. They said, yeah,

  371. it's just forty minutes, So like, okay. So he started

  372. coming to church and I'm like, wow, this guy takes

  373. the train all the way forty minutes. And then he

  374. started coming and then we had a getaway y'all know

  375. a getaway.

  376. It's like a camp. Do you all have a camp here? Yes?

  377. You had an amazing one, right, And so he said,

  378. I want to go over the camp. He said, but

  379. my mother won't aloud. Can you meet my mother? And

  380. then I was like, oh, So I took the train

  381. ran to PJ and then I was like having his

  382. barbecue and stuff that I was thinking, oh no, Like

  383. what's why does his mother want to meet me? And

  384. then the mother said like, oh, thanks for coming all

  385. the way bass the shoe, and I just you know

  386. that it's not that we don't want him to go

  387. for your cam. It's just that we feel that the

  388. people at the camp may not like him. I was

  389. like why, and then she says, because he's got this

  390. thing where in the middle of the night he wakes

  391. up and he has panic attacks and anxiety attacks, and

  392. he hears voices and he goes back and forth and

  393. so that's why we brought him to some mediums.

  394. We tried different things.

  395. He's gone for some sleepovers and some people traumatize, and

  396. so I don't know whether he should go for your

  397. cam you get away, I said, I'm thinking, and I said,

  398. maybe he'll stay with me. Yeah, your room with me

  399. worth thing to do, right, put yourself in danger. Said okay, yeah,

  400. your room with me great, and then go home. And

  401. I told you, la, I think your room separately here,

  402. your room with me, right, and I'll take one more

  403. boy or one more guy do the bunks there.

  404. And then they said are you crazy?

  405. And then I said it's okay, Like I gave his

  406. mom the word that it's gonna be fine, and then

  407. I first get away there pass Candea Banzenra came and

  408. then they were like setting up, so we had like

  409. two shelleys booked out like twenty other people. And then

  410. came the night, and truly enough, it happened like they're

  411. sleeping and then sudden you get up. You're like and

  412. then this guy goes walking walking past this and then

  413. he's panting and pending and came up and then he

  414. suddenly just collapsed on the floor.

  415. And then all the guys in the room. I think

  416. it was a tree or four guys woke up like right.

  417. And then the next morning at five eight, five, six am,

  418. preparing breakfast, no one's talking to each other. Right, let's

  419. not talk about what happened, right, just make your coffee,

  420. make your mid low. And I was thinking, God, surely

  421. you can do something.

  422. Surely.

  423. So we had a great day on the second day,

  424. and then on that night again, guess what happened again?

  425. And this time worse. He was walking back and forth again, came.

  426. Out right to me anyway, right, And I was like,

  427. at that time, it's where the boldness kicking in. And

  428. so I said, in the name of Jesus, get oh,

  429. get behind, and then he fell. I just said, in

  430. the name of Jesus, get out of this boy. And

  431. he stopped and then he woke down. He said, what

  432. was happening? He doesn't know what's happening. And I said, Hanson,

  433. what your mom said happened? He says, But I don't

  434. what to do. I don't what to do. Can you

  435. pray for me?

  436. He said?

  437. And I said I can. But and then God, let

  438. me tre this to say, you pray for this Hanson.

  439. So we sat next to the bed. I said, Hanson,

  440. do you want this out of your system? Do you

  441. want to be set free? Then you gotta pray, and

  442. let's believe together that you'll be set free. And so

  443. he prayed in the name of Jesus, thought, set me free.

  444. I don't want crime. Thirteen year oh, pray, prayed. It

  445. was a good night after that, and then we didn't

  446. think about it much. We were like, yay, there's not

  447. that day, thankfully, right, because you know, two days, one night, yay, right,

  448. go back to my wife.

  449. I didn't think about much of it right after that.

  450. Two years later he says, oh, but I want to

  451. be baptized, and then we were like, okay, sure. I

  452. finally decided my parents are okay with it and stuff,

  453. and I add the baptism. He shard say, Actually, I

  454. just wanted to remind you guys that I thought about it.

  455. That God set me free from this anxiety that I

  456. used to be having for many years. And we've tried

  457. many things, and God only came true at this camp,

  458. at this time when I prayed and set me free.

  459. And I just wanted you to know. When he shed that,

  460. we were like oh yeah, right, we didn't even remember anything.

  461. We were like, oh yeah, that's right.

  462. You had that thing in you, but God set you

  463. free and we were like, God, you are amazing, and

  464. I'm here to challenge you that let's be bold in

  465. declaring God's presence, not just on Sundays but in our

  466. workplaces when things are not going according to or not

  467. going to what's right, declare God's word. And that boldness

  468. can only come as we go into point tree from

  469. being in his presence. Let me read some scripture for

  470. you that God has not given us second Timothy one,

  471. verse seven, A spirit of fear, but of power and love,

  472. er sound mind. And sometimes we forget that. Hey, you

  473. know what, it's normal to operate in fear. It's normal

  474. to go like, hey, you know what, delby demons. I

  475. tell this to different parents that they're raising the children

  476. as it like, hey, you know what, if you want

  477. to send your kids and you think that Australia has

  478. a better life, be warned. We are dealing with different demons,

  479. and a lot of us go like, ah, demons, why

  480. is that right? It's no, demons are real, but greater

  481. who is in you.

  482. Is greater than who is in the world.

  483. And God has reminded us so many times that, hey,

  484. you want it's not just about having a bad education there,

  485. but hey, where does God want me to be? That's

  486. the important question to ask, Lord, where do you have?

  487. And God has not given us the spirit of fear,

  488. but of power of love? Anna sound mind? What does

  489. sound mind speak about? Self control, self discipline? And so

  490. I'm sharing with you this is because sometimes things are

  491. out of our control.

  492. That's where that sound mind comes in.

  493. Lord, give me that peace, give me that perseverance, give

  494. me that hope that I need in this situation. And

  495. so God may not give you what you want, like

  496. that baby we were praying for. I'm here sharing it

  497. with you that we didn't get a baby, but God

  498. gave us peace. With the peace, I'm gonna trust him

  499. even more with that piece, I'm gonna say, Hey, you

  500. know what God is, A God is good with or

  501. without that promise, Lord, you are faithful, And so God

  502. has given us his spirit.

  503. Let's draw boldness only from his presence.

  504. When you spend time with God, that's where that baldness

  505. comes a lot of times, it's like what Paskenna said,

  506. And I'm bringing here his greetings.

  507. He said, hey, share with the church that he loves you.

  508. And I'm here to say that, you know what, His

  509. presence is all that we need. If you spend one hour,

  510. think about it, newest resolution, one hour in God's presence.

  511. That one hour can make a difference in your twenty

  512. four hours, right in your twenty three hours. Why don't

  513. you spend And there's so many verses in the Bible,

  514. says Jesus told his disciples, go and read it in

  515. the Bible.

  516. Why don't you wait with me? How many hours? Just

  517. one hour? Why don't you wait with me? One hour?

  518. Why do you fall asleep? Why don't you wait with me?

  519. So there's something about Hey, you know what, when I

  520. spend time with God, God gives me the strength so

  521. I can take on today, so I can take on

  522. whatever's ahead of me. But that bondness comes from his presence.

  523. That's where some of us need to this year. Maybe

  524. that can be a resolution. Maybe you're gonna go into

  525. your office tomorrow and you're thinking, oh, the boss again, right,

  526. But I'm here to say, hey, you know what, take

  527. it on my bondness, not going to score your boss.

  528. I'm the boss.

  529. Right, but you go like, hey, you know what, no

  530. matter what I'm facing, Lord, you are with me.

  531. Give me the strength. Amen.

  532. Last one is to be like what Christ was doing.

  533. He was God's ambassador. Jesus had this saying in the Bible,

  534. which she says that I've come to do the will

  535. of him who sent me.

  536. I know food of what you don't know of. That's Jesus.

  537. And so when he came, he's representing the Father God.

  538. And as Christians, that should be our aim as well.

  539. That can we be Christ in our workplace? Can we

  540. be like Christ in our families? Can we be Christ outside?

  541. To people know where Christians? That's one question and honest

  542. they know we're Christians. Do they want to know Jesus.

  543. It's not a question, but I'm here. The challenge is that, hey,

  544. you know what God has called us, and all of

  545. us have different giftings.

  546. What passa Elvin does? I can't do what your gifted in.

  547. I know most of you want to be like you

  548. saying like you want to be like Jesus, but what

  549. he is gifted in some of you might find it

  550. hard to do. And I'm here just say that, Hey,

  551. we're all part of the body. We play different parts,

  552. and if every part does its share, it brings edification.

  553. To the body. We can grow. So can we be

  554. his ambassador?

  555. Let's read that last verse nukes seven, verse sixteen to

  556. seven and says fear came upon all and they glorified God,

  557. saying a great prophet has risen among us, and God

  558. has visited his people, and this report about him went

  559. throughout all Jadere and the surrounding region. Once you walk

  560. in boldness, people will want to know Christ. Once you

  561. walk in that gifting, God will use you as a vessel.

  562. And that's that's where God wants you to be in

  563. this story. Where did he visit this place? Name Nain

  564. right or nine?

  565. Let's have a glimpse of it and we would draw

  566. the clothes. Nine what does that mean?

  567. A town of Galilee situated in the northern base of

  568. Little Herman.

  569. What does it say there? I'll read the bottom part.

  570. It says a petty village inhabited by very few families.

  571. And what caught me is God would stop for something

  572. that's petty. Some of you might think like, I'm too small,

  573. woe with me? Lord Lord, You're you're so concerned with

  574. so many things. My need is so small. If God

  575. could go into nine and minister to this lady and

  576. raise the dead, don't you think you would want to

  577. go into your little situation? Don't you think of God,

  578. good God like Jesus would want to step in the

  579. other of nine is beautiful. And that's why I want

  580. us to know that God walks into a mess and

  581. he takes these the insignificant, and he makes it beautiful.

  582. And when I read this story, I went like, God,

  583. you are so good.

  584. Lord.

  585. You love your people so much that Lord, even though

  586. we are going through doubts, disappointments, Lord, even sometimes we're

  587. angry with you, Lord, you would step in and you

  588. would love us the same. And then there's no one

  589. too small. He met the Samaritan woman in the desert.

  590. I wrote here he went all his way for Jerry's daughter.

  591. And then he went to Psychaas and Matthew, tax collector.

  592. Nobody wants to hang with tax collectors. They think it's bad.

  593. And then he jumped into whose boat Simon's boat? They

  594. caught nothing. Sometimes you think that only when I have something,

  595. God was interested in me. No Simon got nothing. Jesus

  596. steps in. That's a God that loves you and me,

  597. and yeah, I'm him to tell you that God wants

  598. to step in. And you have the same spirit that

  599. God has, which is the Holy Spirit. So you don't

  600. have Jesus physically present. And this is where I want

  601. to end my message, that He has given us the

  602. Holy Spirit. How can we really be more like Christ

  603. is to have His spirit in us, to be walking

  604. not in the flesh, but in the spirit. For those

  605. of you who were there at pray on Wednesday, I

  606. think doctor Jill got us to read Romans eight and

  607. Romans eight if you read it, says we walk not

  608. by flesh but by the spirit. And the more we

  609. walk by the spirit, the more we experience what the

  610. more we commune with God. And so God can only

  611. use those willing vessels. When I saw the leaders in

  612. front there earlier, I went like, wow, God, this is like.

  613. The wedding at Cana.

  614. Where Jesus mother said, hey, do something about it, right,

  615. and six vessels were there, And then Jesus said, my

  616. time is not yet. But because he was moved, he

  617. said I'm gonna save this wedding. I'm going to move

  618. and do this. And he says, take these jaws, put

  619. one into them and take them out. Was a miracle

  620. in the water. No, a miracle is in the Lord

  621. and his word. And so as we draw her close today,

  622. even as a worship team comes up, some of you

  623. are asking, Lord, what's your plan for twenty twenty five.

  624. For me, it's a big question. And as you ask

  625. that question, I would say, keep that conversation going, Keep

  626. that conversation going, and ask God, Lord, how can I

  627. be more like you? If that's you in his place?

  628. Even as we stand right now, I know this might

  629. not be a common thing, but I want to start.

  630. I want us to start the year by dedicating our

  631. lives to Jesus and being filled with the Holy Spirit.

  632. God says that he wants to pour out his spirit

  633. afresh upon his church because in his word he says

  634. that greater works shall you do? When I go to

  635. the Father, I believe that EXPG. You've sent so many missionaries,

  636. You've sent so many disciples out, and God's not done

  637. with you yet. God sees your heart. Thank you for

  638. serving him faithfully. But it's not in the doing, it's

  639. in the being more like Jesus. Thank you all this rain,

  640. Thank you Jesus. Right now, we hands lifted up even

  641. as we worship him. Right now, we're just going to

  642. worship him with one simple chorus, and then I'm going

  643. to pray it with us.

  644. Hallelujah, Thank you Jesus.

  645. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  646. information on our church, please visit as church org. We

  647. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  648. this week is going to be a good week. I
