We hope this message will light up your tea.

So I wanted to bring this on disciple first, which

also means to me another way of saying is be

imitators of Christ. Amen, allelujah. So we have, yeah, sorry,

my picture like ex kids a because I was preparing this,

you know, for with children in the service as well,

and I've taken off most of my other pictures and

put a bit more clean, all right, So disciple of first,

we all follow Christ. Christis to us follow me. Even

He told that to the fishermen and they became his disciples.

So I won't go back that way. You hear other

people sharing, and I just want to go straight to

what I want to, you know, and encourage us and

remind us today. So disciple. The word disciple comes from

the Greek word meant that is, I may not pronounce

it the right way, but that is a Greek word

and it means a learner. How many learners are here?

We are all lifelong learners. Amen. We're learning all the time. Amen.

We live and we learn, so we are a learner.

It means pupil. It means the actual word disciple, all right,

and a disciple is not only a pupil student, but

also an adherent or adherent. What does that mean. It

means that they are spoken of as imitators. You're so

close that you actually imitate the other person, imitate that teacher.

So that's what disciple means. Now in your knowledge, who

are the greatest, the greatest imitators? Who has they do?

Whatever you do? So, moms and dads, whatever you say,

they are listening. Their ears are like elephanis and listening.

They look like they're thinking nothing, but they're they're absorbing,

and they imitate parents' children imitate parents. So you know,

that's why Jesus says, bring the children, don't stop them

from coming. And he tells us that we have to

come to him as children to have child like faith

a man, not childish faith. Okay, don't be childish, all right,

not childie on my way, No, not childish, but child like.

So we come as child like and just fully, you know,

saying to the Lord, wow, yeah, my daddy, god father God,

and you know his father got to us. He's our dead,

our heavenly father, and we can come with child like faith.

So a disciple, a pupil, a learner. But more importantly,

as we get closer, the word disciple talks about being

imitators of their teacher. So when Jesus called them to

be followers, he is calling them to be imitators of Christ. Amen.

And I'm taking this scripture John thirteen, verse fifteen, giving

you the background from John chap the thirteen. Do you

remember the last supper? He got sound on in the room. Okay,

you cannot let I can't let you go, and you

have to make sound okay. So Jesus was having the

last supper, and as he said, this not in a

not in a straight table like the way da Vinci

drew it painted it. But actually it's a U shape. Yeah,

it's a U shaped table. And so he was sitting

here on the second space. On the third space is

the most honored guest, and the one right at the

first phase is the is the protector protects the host.

Jesus was the host and right, and so all the

other disciples said, but who was in the honored space?

Who was in the third place? Can you remember who

was the most honored one? Judas? Judas was given the

most honored space Jesus, knowing that his time is coming

up and who will who will betray him, gave Judas

it should speak, you know, huge huge tones for Judas

that Jesus gave him the honored space that perhaps at

the end, even though he had to, you know, do

what he had to do, that he would have repented,

not just out of sorrow about true repentance. He could

have still turned, but instead he took his own life

because he knew what he did was not right. But anyway,

he gave the best seat to Judas. And who was

at the last seat, the strong haired one Peter. Peter

was sitting at the last seat, socking away, socking away

why he wanted to be the most important person he

thought he was, you know, he said, I'll die with you, Jesus,

you know I all can let go like all that

will be te I will die with you, you know,

And he wanted to be there. But he was sitting

at the last seaterd salking away because he didn't get

the best spot. And he should have been the one. Actually,

the person who's at the last should be the one

who comes and wash the feet. However he didn't because

he was sulking Peter that day, and he forgot his

duty right because they all walk in the sandy sandy ground,

maney ground. Their feet would have been dirty. And you

know how they sit. They don't sit like us like this.

You know, they sit leaning like this? So are you

gonna smell my lip? They're all leaning and no very

Eastern style of the Eastern style of eating. Back in

the day, the Romans would lean and eatadela. So that's

why John was leaning at the breast of Jesus. And

he asked Jesus questions, very personal questions, who will betray you? Da?

Da da? And all? That's what he knew. So Peter said,

I'm sucking. I'm not happy today. I'm not gonna wash feet.

But Jesus then took on the role of a servant

to wash everyone's feet. Amen. And so as he washed

everyone's feet, they all like, cannot take kid like betahna,

you cannot don't wash my feet, Jesus cannot heart getnot

right if I can't watch your feet. Now, I think

if you wash my feet, I so piela, I don't

know what it looks like. Did I clean my toenails?

Does it smell? I don't know you might that might

be on your mind first before I'm just washing your fit.

So they were all feeling very shy of they knew it.

They knew it. Peter, you should be doing it, not Jesus.

But Jesus did it anyways. He tied the towel, he washed,

he wiped, and then he put back his garment. So

John thirteen fifteen and Slide says, so Jesus were gonna

speak to them, and he said, see, I have given

you know that I am your master. Earlier, he says

in John thirteen thirteen fifteen fourteen, verse fourteen, No, you

know if it's well that you call me teacher and master.

But I want to say to you what I'm doing now,

For I have given you an example, everybody's example, that

you should do as I have done to you that,

he says, I've given you an example that you should

do as I have done. So what that means is

imitate what I've done. Amen. And then and then in

verse seventeen of the same chapter, he says, if you

know these things, and he has shared so many things

to them, taught them so many things, He said, blessed

are you if you do them? Amen? Blessed are you

if you so gonna do it? Okay, do them. So,

he was encouraging them that exactly what I've done, you

must also do. So that simply means follow what I do,

imitate what I do. So Jesus laid that down now.

And therefore, as we go into this year, not only

this year, we've been doing discipleship from day one we

started the church. We have a huddle system, which is

we we are discipling people under us. I have twelve girls,

pass twelve men. We've always been doing this since day one.

We've raised our leaders today. These are our elders. These

are our huddle one. It's like your deacons. These are

leaders home leaders. Also, everyone who's in a leadership position,

who's leading, really are imitators not only of Christ, but

also of the one following Christ pastor myself. You follow

us rite whatever we do. You you've taught that. And

so we've done this. Why because this is what Jesus says,

and we have to go back. Why Why is discipleship important?

Because Jesus speaks of discipleship. I will end the message

to you with you on Matthew twenty eight, verse nineteen

to twenty that Jesus is make disciples. You can't run away, amen, Okay,

you can't run away. So if I ask you whose

disciple are you weekly, you will say Jesus, Amen, you're

jesus disciple, but he's not here. Hello, So who's your disciple? Now?

You know, because I've been to various many different judges.

I speak and then the people come up to me, Oh, pasa,

I love your preaching, dada da they all love. I

don't know about you, but anyway, and then they say, oh,

I know you're like my disciple. I'm like, no, I'm not.

I don't know you, and they, oh, Brian Houston's my discipler,

you know, for tickets mine? You know Stephen Pastus Stephen

Fortism Like, oh, really you know them? Does he know

your name? No? No, I just followed her, you doube. Oh,

then that cannot be your discipler because someone who disciples

you got to know you, right, That was a faraway

it's your friend club. But the one that knows you

and loves you and accepts you as you are, that

these are the ones who decipe for you and they

walk with you. I said, does Stephen pastor Stephen Fertick,

walk with you when you're down. Who knows your name?

Who does your funeral hym No, it's your local pastor.

Please go to your local pastor and go and ask

him for you discipling. I also cannot disciple you'm from.

I can't. I'm not there with you. I won't be

all heart and soul. You know it's not fair. Go

to your pastor, get your leaders. You know. I don't

take people from other judges to disciple because I honor

the pastor. When I speak in a judge, I honor

that paston. And I don't take anybody from their church

to disciple because the sheep belongs to local church. So

I always tell them, please, your pastor works very hard,

he loves you. God's call on him. So the example

Jesus said, take lead the people. Follow what I've done. Amen.

So then Paul comes. Now Paul would be the number

thirteen disciple and a very very powerful, powerfully, very powerfully

used by God to reach the gentiles. And so he

is the one that says in First Corinthians eleven, verse one,

the famous word imitate me as I imitate Christ? Whoa

you dare say not? I don't dare say lah, I

wish Shilah. Imitate me as I immitiate Christ. Come, Come, come, Jessica,

imitate me. I. Oh, we all are Allah, we go

like I don't think Sola, we don't. That is not

not worthy. I'm not worthy. I'm not worthy. Right, we

go all the way down under the ground. I'm not worthy.

So but yet Paul says, imitate me as imitate Christ.

He was telling this to the Corinthian Church. So bold

was he, he was so sold out to Jesus, although

he did not follow Christ at the time when Christ

was alive. He was alive, but he wasn't. He was

so gung ho about the Jewy Judaism, Da da da.

He could not accept the way, the truth and the life.

But God encountered him and said, I have a call

for you. You will be highly persecuted, but you're gonna

bring the Gospel to the to the gentiles, to those

who are not Jews. And so he follows Christ from

what he has seen heard from among the disciples. The

other apostles he takes on, he learns from them. He

didn't straight away get safe and when and became past

the Paul, no, he went for good few years to

the desert, you know, in Damascus waited came under discipleship

by by others. Uh. And it was it was Barnabas

that came and found him and then you know, let

him into the ministry, introduced him to the ministry. And

after that he fought with Barnabas like that la right,

because they didn't agree on John Mark, the one who

wrote the Book of Mark. Because John Marcaus is, you know,

a young boy just ran away. So he said, don't

take him, he's useless. But later he said, no, I

think Mark will be useful to me. Bring Mark to me. Right,

So there was reconciliation. But you know, Barnabus had to

do what they do. He's an encourager. He will keep

encouraging people. So anyways, so Paul has followed Christ. Still

had argument with Barnabus. That doesn't make him a bad apostle. Okay,

there are differences, but he followed Christ. He did all that.

We learned so much from Paul from the epistles that

he's written. So says, imitate me. And therefore we write

that we have to imitate Christ. Number that's number one.

We follow Christ. That we also are building what Christ

is saying, make disciples. So we make disciples and we

walk with people. Right. Amen. So in second Timothy to

laying this foundation. You know this, Paul says to Timothy,

and these things you have heard for me among many witnesses,

commit these to faithful men and who will be able

to teach others or so, And we have Paul, we

have Timothy, we have faithful men, and we have others

who have yet to be fully discipled. If I ask you,

are you a Paul? Are you a Timothy? Still know?

Are you faithful? Men? Still know? Most of you? And

I ask the question most so say I are this?

Yeah, you are more than at this. Lie You're a

faithful man. Live me some of your Timothies. So if

there's a Paul, there will be a Timothy. And Timothy

will look out for faithful.

Men for generations and others. So others would be far.

They haven't come to Christ, and we can still disciple

them until they come to know the saving grace of God. Amen.

By our lives, by how we live, people all around

you are looking at your life every day, how you love,

how you share, how you're generous even if we fail.

How we feel and still come up again. It you

never give up, even though you've been going down and

put down, but you rise up again. That's an example.

People look at them and say, wow, that's strength in there.

How do you do it? That's a chance for you

to share about how Christ has come to your life. Amen.

And so so Paul, as Jesus left this to his disciples,

Paul became one of those disciples, and he really worked

really really hard. He says in First Corinthians fifty nine.

He feels that he's the least of the disciples. So

you worked very very hard to you know, do all

that he can right to bring the good news. And

so the question for us is what does a disciple

of Christ look like or what does a disciple of

Christ do? So today I just bring three points. You

can do this, you can do this, we can do this.

And because these are exact words of Jesus, so we

establish there needs to be discipleship. Now you have a

problem with discipleship, then you will have a problem with

growing your faith. Because the formula to growing your faith

is discipleship. That's why we practice discipleship in acts. We

get into your life, you get into my life, and

we share and we walk, we teach. We don't just

give care. We don't speak truth, truth that will set

you free from things that have bound you. We minister together.

We you know, we walk with you, We teach you.

We have to learn this. This is what Jesus says.

Now what I say. Jesus says, So what does a

disciple of Christ do or look like? So I put

the first one. It starts with an A. It's abide

in Christ's words. Amen. Amen. We want to abide in

Christ's words. And so John eight thirty one, Jesus says this,

it's really cute picture you got, little children. If you

abide in my word, you are my disciples. Indeed, if

you everybody say, abide in my word, you are Amen.

So who are the disciples of Christ? The ones who

are abiding? And the word abiding means to stay, to remain. Amen,

as you are very kindly staying and abiding in this

morning listening to me. I haven't walked out yet. Thank you.

Not my words, but reading God's word. If you abide,

if you remain in God's word and be patient in

God's word, you will learn of his word is living word.

Then you are his disciples, because you are remaining, he says,

if you abide means you are staying. You are remaining

in my word as you read it. You are my disciples. Amen.

So you ask yourself, what does the disciple do? Must remain,

must abide, must stay God's word stay with you, and

you stay with God, which is which will be my

next word later. But a here the abiding is to remain. So, Church,

how do you abide? Do you take time? See this

picture with the little boy. We are like that little children.

So every day I do this, I abide with Christ.

But unfortunately I understand mothers now because I have a

very big baby in my house.

Yeah.

So when I wake up, I used to just easy,

busy wake up. You know, six o'clock. I got my

quiet time for one hour. You just going? Now? I

cannot I wake up? My husband really up? We actually

he already woke up five o'clock. But he's kind to

me let me sleep. So he just awake on the bed,

exercising his leg, waiting for a good time before he

wakes U. Because you know, I wake up then I

have to get ready to help him. He's slowly beginning

to be able to help himself more. I don't need that.

But I don't have the opportunity now to abide early early.

I have to do it later, right, So I have

to take care of you all the things. So I

come to Jesus and I abide. I sit a space,

I put up, and I wait, and I opened his word,

and I follow a book that I'm reading, and I pray.

And I don't even pray yet about other things. I

just talk to Jesus about where I am at and

thanking him one hundred times there. I'm so grateful that love.

He loves me, He's forgiven me, and I just bye.

I see that word, and I declare God's word. Every

morning I declare someone or three verse one to five,

bless a lot of my soul and all that's within me.

Bless his holy name. There's a lot of my soul.

And forget not all of his benefits. Who forgives me

of all my iniquities? Lord, you heal me of all

my diseases. You redeem my life from my destruction. Because

I can, I would have gone to destruction. My whole

life would have been destructed if I lived my own way.

But he redeemed me. You know he crowns me with

his loving kindness and tendemensies. Thank you Lord, and you

satisfy my mouth with good things, and so that my youth.

You see how youthful I am re knew like the eagles. Amen,

praise the Lord. I bless you, and I abide that way,

and I declare God's word over my life. I recalling

the promises of God. So that's how you abide. You

meditate on God's word. So I take up scripture, memorize them,

and then I declare, I say the Lord's prayer as

well to good prayer, to pray over ourselves. I just abide.

I'm not even beginning to pray for needs yet, hardly ever.

I just abide. And so the words begin to come

in and encourage you, Amen, and Holy Spirit lifts you up.

So come on, I just want to say to us

a good reminder, who are you? And I are discipled?

Then make time to abide. So for me, it's in

the morning, all right. And because before I start life.

You know, I told you right when the sun comes

up that I'm like, I can't live. I can't do this. Really,

I gotta go and live my life. When the sun

is down not yet up there. I can pray and

know it on the Lord. So I want to abide. Amen.

That's how I want to tell you. I give you

an action plan. Why don't you try abiding tonight tomorrow morning?

You know, just sit, take open the word, I go

to psums or the whatever I'm reading, and just say, Lord,

I just declae words something you don't know what to say, right,

I could be praying tongues for ten fifteen minutes, just

praying ing abide, But take his word. Secondly, love one another,

Jesus says, love one another. This is his commandment. In

John chapter thirteen, verse thirty four to thirty five. He

says a new commandment. I give to you that you

love one another as I have loved you, that you

love one another. Second time, he says by this all,

well know that you are my disciples. If you have

love for one another. Amen. He was like, I know

that pasta very good. Then love people luck, Well, it's

hard to love everyone. And you don't have to like everyone,

but you can love them. Okay, you not to like everyone,

they're not like you, right, they have to like everyone

like oh that person. But but but the love of

Christ reach us out right to just be kind to

that person, to love right, to love one another. And

firstly it starts in the house of God. And the

church are always gonna thank you that we cannot love

our own brother and sisters. No, we find so much

for we have such high judgment. Ah, high judgment. Hya

you are you know like Jesus. No, we judge each other.

Maybe we should be kinder, we should show love love,

We should be kind of love or give me. I

must show kindness and love people more, not judge people first.

And then we That's why discipleship is important. We say

we disciple you. Discipling moment is to teach you, hey,

just now, you shouldn't have He didn't shout at the

children like that. You can just tell them kids, you know,

and take them aside or something. So discipling moments. But

we are to love. And Jesus said that when people

see your love, they will say that you are my disciples.

These other people see then they know that you are

his disciples. Wow, very high calling love. But as I said,

we finally had to like everybody. But we cant love

love people because the first commandment is to love the

Lord your God with all of your heart, all of

your mind, with all of your soul, with all of

your strength. And the second commandment is to love your

neighbor as yourself, which is to love one another. But

you must love yourself forgive yourself also. Okay, sometimes we fail.

We beat ourselves up saying I'm not a good child

of God, and then I don't think I can. God

loves me. Actually, God already loves you. And as you

love yourself, forgive yourself, kind to yourself, you were able

to look at another person and look at them with love. Amen.

God's love a gop pey, a gop py and conditional love.

So regardles us what it is, regardless how how difficult

a person you and I are. God still loves us. Amen.

He's like unconditional. He doesn't put a condition on you.

He just loves you. So if God can love us,

we can love one another and we can help one

another be better people. I am a better person today

because of my brother and sisters who have told me

in my face of what my weaknesses are and I've learned.

And also getting married is another thing. You disciple each other.

I think my husband's are ten because I make him

a ten. Yeah. Yeah, so girls are you're not yet married?

One cannot find a ten? One? You make that man ten?

Ah ah yeah the woman Now you're on a ten right,

a ten right, she's not ten yet. But when you

marry and then we make each other ten, you know

that you get better and better. Praise a lot, amen,

We can only get better and hopefully not. What's that

wors so? Okay? If you're not generous, you become generous.

You know. I I wasn't so generous while I'm marry

my husband, while I learned how she's so generous. I

don't know if you robbed the bangle? Where does he

get his money? Because you're not getting a salary, but

you always spend me. You don't let me spend me.

You know, everything he against, whatever love gave, he uses

it and blessed people.

You.

So I've learned to become better, right amen, I'm sure

he's become better. God on me, so love the house

of God, the household of God. I know we are

not perfect people, but don't judge it so quickly. We

all got our past, we all have burdens, we've all

we all feel if you could see the extray eyeser,

A lot of us walking with what not you done?

So if you love, you can slowly love away the hump,

the burden, and then we all stand up straight because

of love, Amen, because of love. You know the story

of baby Samuel. I've told you before the bloom you

heard it Singapore. I've told this story. But baby Samuel,

what is chucked? The way? Baby yeah? Born? Refugee, baby

thrown and Doris our German, Doris so saw and said, no,

why is this baby left to die? Actually the doctor's

also said I think the baby would die because the

mother tried to abort it. But the child lived. And

you know, in the four years that she took care

of baby Samuel all mangled up. In the last you

saw him, he's sitting up playing the drums, intelligent little boy.

You know a little bit of love can transform from

mangledness to sitting upright to learning to love. Yeah, And

that that just just to say that love can can

move some mountains for us. But we are very yeah

bla with our loves. Very We hold back our love

because we don't think people deserve it. And I've had

to learn that lesson. Sometimes you're angry at someone maybe

of the power us. You hold your love back, and

yet Jesus continues to say to us love. Yeah, then

you will be mine. Then you're seen as my disciples.

So I'm a work in progress of loving and trying

and learning not to behold the love for others, whoever

they are, especially in the household of God. It's easy

to love people on the outside because you don't know

their background. But when we know people and we walk

together ten years, we know, I know you love you.

But out of love people become better. Amen, because we

teach and we learn from one another. Amen, hallelujah. Then

you are by disciples Jesus is. So we're learning. Amen. Amen,

Tell your neighbor. Tell your neighbor. You are a work

in progress. I am a work in progress. Tell you

other neighbor, I am a working progress. God is still

working in me. Amen. God didn't give up on us.

He's still working in you and me. We're not there yet,

but we're getting there. Amen. And you know the last

one point is bear much fruit is bear my shrut love.

So in John chapter fifteen we get this verse here

John chapter fifteen and verse five and eight. So Jesus

says I am the vine. You are the branches. He

who abides in me and I in him. Right, what

will you do? You are bare much fruit because by

this my father is glorified. Right, So he says, by this,

my father's glorified that you bear much fruit, and so

you will be my disciples. If you abide, you abide

in Christ. Christ abides in you. That's good, bear fruit.

But if you don't abide, then means Christ cannot abide.

Then you can do nothing. So we are to learn

where's our source from. Not in our wisdom, not in

our great degrees or eccolades or past. It is in

Christ and meant to abide. Then he says that where

you abide it, he says, my father is glorified that

you bear much fruit, and you will be my disciples.

So the fruit will show that you are disciples. There's

some fruits there. I don't know which is your favorite fruit.

But what fruit are you talking about? What fruit are

you want me to bear? Lemon? Lemon or pomegranate or

you know, orange? But the fruit bearing the fruit of

your the fruit of the spirit. Don't people feel you

and experience you, They experience your love, their experience your joy,

their experience your generosity, They experience your self control. How

you could have gotten angry and slapped the person, but

you needn't you just and they experience your kindness, the

experience your meekness, their experience your faithfulness. They're the experience, right,

and others will experience it. You may not always experience it,

but you bear the fruit. You bear the food of

generosity or just helpfulness and your gift things that you

bear fruit. So the Lord wants the return on investments?

Are o? I coman? Oh? Your business owners? All right?

Oh you do you know work in finance and you

invest in businesses. I don't know a big name for that.

Know what you call that? You've got business? You invest that.

There has to be a return on investment. You take

away money, say do I'm going to investor in? Sorry

speedmard myself. Let they look at how they're growing. Right,

So oh the investors like, yeah, very good, very good.

Keep keep keep keep investing, keep going. In Christ, it's

not a business, but he's he's He wants you fruitful

because you will be blessed. You will be blessed. God

does everything for us, never for him, but as we

are blessed. We glorify our Father, and people know that

we are his disciples. Again, we are working progress. The

fruit bearing comes and you know, some root bear longer,

take longer time, very longer, you waitler, but in the

way thing you don't go and be misbehaved like you

you some fruit are you know some of us will

be longer to be kind, oh my goodness. And then

some ofers are very full of joy, full of patience.

I don't know who you are full of patients. Some

people are very patient, very very patient. Yeah you're so

patient and cannot get angry now, no one you are.

People pull your hair, so you're like, so good, that's

so cool. But some always are driving a well a

little bit only a cart take over you're like boy,

or you think over? So the patience right, So different

people have a different fruit because I mean, how fast

you bear? Because our soil of our hearts also need

to be open. But we need to be abiding in Christ.

As we abide, you abide, you bear not only fruit,

but much more fruit, and much fruit. God is looking

for fruit in his children. Amen. Now these are disciples

of Christ. But I can tell you it just doesn't

happen by itself. It happens when there are others who

are walking with you and guiding and teaching correction, you know,

reminding you and to our my Christian life as I end,

I have to fly. There were people in my life

that discipled me. Mike became a Christian, you know, I

became a Christian. I was sixteen years old in my school.

And you know, if it was one person like the

president of my CF, who took a chance on me,

I came became a Christian. And then they wanted to

nominate or you call it to the CF committee, but

like you know, like school, lahamni Christian. And then they say, oh,

how about and Andra? And they are like, why very wholy, La?

If she just accepted correct? She went, weally, why is

she really? She's always on the cat walk, she's doing

averdisements on TV. She's the Corneto girl. You know, you

cannot lie world Lyla, worldly, you know, wlie w. I

was trying her hard to be Christian, you know, one

year old Christian right, And my president on my CF said, no,

let's give he a chance, let's disciple her. And and

that's how I served in the CF and I've never

stopped serving. I've never stopped serving from age sixteen even

then now just became a Christian and they said, we

like to get you to serve in our CF, you know.

And I'm like, I would pray about it. What do

I know about bring about it? At six months old

Christian or eight months? So? But I did pray. I said, Lord,

they asked me to serve on CF. Should I surf?

And the Lord spoke, he said, when will you serve me?

If not now? What when will you not? When will

you serve me if not now? And I said, okay,

I will serve you. And you know, I was my

job on the CF committee back in the day. There

was no digital all this media. It was cut and paste,

art and craft to paste on the board, the notice board.

Every week I must put all the notices, put encouragement notes.

That's what I did. And I'm still in communications today.

I still do a bit, all right. So I started

like that, but somebody took a chance to say we

will disciple. And it took me to Bible study and teach.

They taught me. And then that was one season. And

then when I got to go to church, one of

the assistant pastor's lady pastor also discipled me. In my

new life in christ Isison dearly really hungry. So I

would go to the Christian bookstore and buy all the books,

you know, the work books, and I would do all

the work books on disciple shape. I wouldn't do lah

by Navigator's book. Don't know what book I won't read

and answer question to learn. Then I went on to

another church. My cell group leader became someone who discipled me,

and they dealt with issues in my life. Amen. So

at every juncture there was someone discipling me. And I'm

so grateful that day gave me a chance. Amen. Disciple

shape is someone noticing you and saying, maybe you know

something good can come out of it, and God, will

you allow? Like you don't be so proud that you

just okay, Oh, you teach me a lot and so

discipled throughout my time in season, over years and then

and then you know, today, I'm uncomfortable to my eldest.

I might be senior minister, I might be older and

am oldest, in fact, the oldest on the leadership, but

I still account to my eldest. When I'm in trouble,

I tell them. When I anything happened, I would tell

my eldest, my husband, of course, you know, he's the

one that disciples me as well. It teaches me a

lot of things. But I'm willing to sup me. I'm

willing to say I will listen. I don't agree, but

I will listen for now and then I'll work it through.

So on, I encourage us. How do we become that,

you know, a bide? How do we learn to abide?

Because someone taught me as well? I read the word?

How do I learn to love? By watching you love?

There's some people in this room, so you love people

so well? I also copy you, you know, so I

learned from you, and there are others here. You bear fruit,

and I learn from you how your patience. But to

be discipled is to allow someone to speak over your life.

And the only disciples are able to abide. Only disciples

learn to love. Only disciples of Christ are bearing fruit.

That is the mark of a disciple. Then you glorify

the Father. Amen. So as I close, and very very

quickly closing, what is the end goal? The end goal

is in what Second Corinthians three eighteen says Second Corinthians

three eighteen says there, So all of us who have

had that veil removed. The veil was removed when Jesus

rose from when when Jesus went to the cross, Amen,

and rolls from the dead, the whole veil that was

between the tabernacle to the Holy of Holy the veil

was removed. And now we can see and reflect the

glory of the Lord and the Lord who is the Spirit.

He makes us more and more like him. Where do

you find make me more like Jesus? You know, we

want to be more like Him as we are changed,

as we are transformed into His glorious image at the

end of the day. Why do we do make disciples

so that we all can look more like Christ? Amen? Amen,

that's the whole point, So that we become little Christ

more like Christ. Amen. So what do I say? Ultimately

we are to be like Jesus. We do like Jesus,

do what Jesus does, and we make more. We make

more disciples who will look like Jesus. Amen, we make

more little Christ. It's a cycle. We reproduce, we reproduce,

we reproduce. Amen. Hallelujah. Right, that's how it works. That's

what God says. Keep on reproducing release others. Right, you

have Paul, and then you have Timothy, and then we

pass in the faithful man, and then faithful men to others.

So me to Elder Shirley and the shy to Jessica,

Jessica to downlight. Oh whoa, I don't know esther whoever? Yeah,

you move so with a cycle again, Hallelujah, Praise the Lord. Amen.

That's where we grow and we we we we release

people to serve and and people as we become disciples,

we raise sons and daughters in the house. And it

is the sons and daughters of the House that are

sent out to plant churches, to take on leadership, to

do different things. Because you we share the same DNA,

we share the same vision. Amen, Praise the Lot. So

then I come back. So again, what is disciple? First,

to be a disciple yourself and to disciple somebody, you

must disciple. Your Christian life will be very not exciting.

If you don't disciple. The more you work with someone

in you disciple, you teach, you guide, you cry with you,

laugh with you, yourself will be on fire. Amen. So ultimately

we want to be more like Jesus. We want to

do what Jesus do, and we want to make more Jesus.

I mean as it reproduced Jesus, to reach out to

reach the loss, to bring them to more like Christ. Amen.

And therefore I end with the Matthew twenty eight, nineteen twenty,

which says, go therefore and make disciples. This is what

Jesus told us to do. This is what we've been

doing twenty five years. Make disciples of all nations, baptizing

them the name of the Father, the Son, and the

Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I've

commanded you. And lo, I am with you always to

the ends of the time. Amen. God is with us

in this. And don't despise being disciple. And that's why

we are practice this. We don't just say it. We

want to act on it. Somebody, everyone in acts will

be disciples, not for anybody's glory, for the glory of

the Lord. That we learn to abide, that we learn

to love one another, and that we beth. This is

the marks of being a disciple of Christ. Not I say,

Jesus say so. If Jesus say we have to follow

a man because it will give you joy, it will

give you you know, just satisfaction keeps you on fire

for the Lord, excited to see new lives. There are

many people who don't know Christ yet, and you are

that little Christ. You are Christ. You are like the Christ.

You are, You are the elving. It is like Christ

with skin on that people will see. Jesus. Amen, everyone here,

you are the Jesus with skin on. Yeah, humans, skin

that people will see. How would they know? Because you've

been abiding, you've been loving people, You've been bearing fruit,

and they will look at you and you say you

are different. Why are you so generous? Why you're so kind?

The fruit is always enjoyed by other people. Don't eat

their own fruit orangely, don't eat their own fruit. But

how do people eat anyone? Very sweet? This tree must

be very good, right, So our our tree, our vine

is Jesus. We are stuck to him and we bear fruit. Amen.
