You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
So today I'm going to give you something that some
-
of you probably have been asking. And this is something
-
I've learned. I've learned from my spiritual father, Pascua Ena,
-
and I've seen it it works, okay, and it's not
-
just working in ministry, but I think it works in
-
every area of your life.
-
You know.
-
This is also something I recently spoke to a leader
-
and I said, this is something I look for when
-
people ask me for advice, you know, or passag Shall
-
I do this? Shall I marry this girl? Should I
-
buy this car? Shall buy this house? I apply these
-
principles right when I want to advise them, you know.
-
So I want to encourage you guys to also learn
-
from this.
-
And basically the subtitle is how to discern the will
-
of God in your life and make major decisions? You
-
guys want to learn that How to discern discern no, okay,
-
how to know God's will all your life and make
-
major decisions. So far, I've I've learned this and I
-
think it's worked very well, okay, right, And I want
-
to tell you where I'm taking it from. Basically, it's
-
from the book now every believer, can you know it's
-
chapter four okay?
-
And of course if you read the.
-
Books in the context of church plant thingla.
-
Right.
-
But actually this principle right in is a principle actually right,
-
and I tell you it's proven. I can give you
-
some testimonies later. Can also apply in choosing life partner,
-
can can can okay, switching career, starting business, buying property,
-
and so much more can can? You can still apply
-
these principles as a yastic So what are the principles? Well,
-
there's three fs, future favor and faith. Okay, future favor
-
and faith.
-
Right. Uh.
-
And it's it's basically a yachts stick of measurement, right,
-
it's a yacht sick.
-
It's not you know.
-
You might say, oh, you know, passelwen it is in
-
the Bible. Well it is, Well, I would say it's condensed,
-
really la. If you want me to give you scripture,
-
which I'll give you a scripture after date on how to
-
apply it's there.
-
But this is just a yard stick.
-
For you to consider as you think about God's weel
-
over your life.
-
Okay.
-
And if you want to really know whether the decision
-
you're making is a decision that's from the Lord. This
-
is a good yard stick, This is a good measuring
-
are you guys okay?
-
Right?
-
Of course? I want to clarify. The first step is
-
always to pray. Okay, you you cannot apply this and
-
don't prayer or say this, no, no, no no. Prayer
-
is very important. Receiving God's work is very important. That's
-
the first thing that has to happen, right, praying and waiting.
-
For God's response. But there's a batter.
-
How do you know that one is really God's response?
-
What is your response? I mean, you've seen this before,
-
You've experienced it before.
-
Right, How you really know is God? You know? I
-
know some people are very confident.
-
Do you know that when you come to your leader
-
or come to me as a pastor and say, passe Elvin,
-
I want to marry this girl.
-
I want to marry this guy because God told me.
-
Do you know I canno say anything anymore already?
-
Do you know it's a copper as well?
-
You know I want to work in this company here
-
and I believe it's from the law now and God
-
spoke to me. Do you know that I cannot say no.
-
Knowing God never, I can't say anything you do.
-
Can I go to wherever you want to? Even if
-
God told me.
-
That that's probably not the wisest thing for you, But
-
I can't say anything. Your casht are you're flowing with
-
the top process, So it's a yeah stick. I'm trying
-
to help you because this helped me right in different areas.
-
Right.
-
But remember, praying is important. You cannot circumvent making decisions
-
without without with no prayer, cannot Prayer is important.
-
And can I give you another tip?
-
The amount of times you spend praying is also the
-
amount of confidence you will get. Do you know that
-
you pray little and you think that it's from a
-
lot and you make a big decision. I'm a bit
-
worried for you. Actually, I'm a lot worried. La.
-
Okay, I'm a lot.
-
Worried because we all grow right and we all learn right. Okay,
-
So first step, pray and wait for God. But how
-
can you be confident that is from God and not
-
ourselves and our own desires? How can you be how
-
can you be confident that it's not if that's God's
-
voice or not, even after you've prayed and I've waited
-
on God's response.
-
How are we confident? Well, you can use this yeastic Okay.
-
First verse I will give to you is in Matthew
-
chapter fourteen, verse twenty six to three one.
-
Okay, you know.
-
And again if you apply this principle in different stories
-
in the Bible, you will recognize some of the key
-
things that happen when people make key decisions. Okay, Like
-
I say, we're just condensing it for your understanding.
-
Okay.
-
When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they
-
were terrified and they say, it's a goal, squire, Okay,
-
it's a goals they said, and cried out in fear.
-
And they're probably right because Jesus. If we remember Jesus,
-
how he look like he got long haired beard, right,
-
wear a white color with a red sash, look like
-
ghost you know, imagine if it's a storm and everything
-
look like ghosts, right, you can I imagine that?
-
Just imagine you shall. I have to bring up a
-
he's out Jesus.
-
Yeah, you should see him in a in former clothes
-
or set my former clothes. He's wearing Jesus sandals. Not
-
all the time, okay, anyway, anyway, but Jesus immediately say
-
to them, take courage it is I.
-
Don't be afraid. Lord.
-
If it's you, Peter reply, tell me to come to
-
you on the water. Come, he said. Then Peter got
-
down out of the boat, walked on the water and
-
came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he
-
was afraid and beginning to sink, cry out, Lord save me.
-
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You
-
of little faith, he said, why did you doubt? Okay,
-
we all know this story, amazing story. If Peter didn't
-
focus his eyes Jesus and he didn't look at anything
-
else or his problems, he will still continue. But can
-
we give Peter a bit of credit because he actually
-
how many of you will be on a crazy stormy
-
boat seeing a possible goals they cannot see clearly because
-
it's a stormer okay, right? And then you hear Jesus voice.
-
Have I even seen the faciat voice? Immediately you will think, Hey,
-
call me out there. I will walk on the water.
-
None of you.
-
Right, I also won't do that. This guy is crazy,
-
but he actually did it. Why because first principle, he
-
saw a future if Jesus, can I can. If it's Christ,
-
you know it's a big reason, it's a big greas.
-
Right.
-
He saw a future first saw future Mantel fourteen to eight. Lord,
-
if it's you, tell me to come to you on
-
the water. How many of us when we make decisions
-
for our future we think about that it's Christ first,
-
or actually it's us first, or what we want first.
-
But let me give you this principle. First thing first
-
is can you see a future?
-
Here? Can or not?
-
Do you know that it's not very hard to see
-
a future when you like a person or I can
-
see you know, I think all guys go through this.
-
I went through these when you like the girl, whether
-
she like you or not?
-
Done?
-
Like you really imagine walking on the hor and getting marriedly? Okay, girls,
-
I don't know what you imagine now. I'm not a girl,
-
so I won't know. But maybe you see something else right?
-
Right? You see him fathering your children? I don't know.
-
Maybe imagine it or how many kids I have and
-
I'm gonna I don't know. Okay, but can you see
-
a future? Right? What does future mean? Future means potential?
-
Right? Seeing the future means potential if you don't see
-
a future, then don't even bother. You know, if people
-
cannot see a future in anything, right, it's very difficult
-
to move forward beyond that. So seeing a future is
-
very important. Do you see a future in college? Do
-
you see a future in this company? If you don't
-
see a future and you say, oh God called me here,
-
but you don't see a future even in natural do
-
you know that you're gonna stop it? And some of
-
you have made those decisions before you don't see a future,
-
or maybe you early see a future, then you later
-
don't see a future. I mean, I don't know whatever
-
it may be, but it always starts to sing, do
-
I see a future here?
-
One of the best advice I got.
-
And I'm still practicing things like that from Pascana is
-
that you know, I still remember when I want to
-
buy my house and when I when I want to
-
like not even buy rand the house and I was
-
gonna get married near look for a place to stay
-
and pass. Give me the best advice, walk the land,
-
go drive there. You don't take one day, And that's
-
the same advice I give people. Go and imagine can
-
you stay there and not don't just hear what people say,
-
don't just look at the pictures, go and feel it.
-
Feel it.
-
Ask God, God, as I want this land? Is it
-
where you want me to stay? Ask that question? Prayma right?
-
Oh no, no, no, no, no, this is a good place,
-
doctor Jason. It's a good place because you know it's near.
-
The lat He's near the lat right.
-
It's a very good place because you know everybody like
-
you know how many times we have made decisions right
-
that we never walk the leander and we go and
-
then we regretted it. Have we worked the can we
-
see a future here? Have you checked out your neighbors?
-
Are they nice neighbors or not? Before you buy the house?
-
You want that car? Have you driven it? Do you
-
feel it?
-
You know what I mean?
-
Can I tell you that for this, this whole feeling
-
thing right, relationship? Cannot I know a lot of people,
-
Oh no, it test strifeles. No, No, there's not such
-
a strife. You want to test strifles very easy. We
-
got this thing called pre courtship for you to test
-
life without any commitment.
-
Yet.
-
You're not together yet, but you can test drive the friendship.
-
You don't test drive the relationship. You know why because
-
I learned from my you know Nigerian brother, dating is
-
a waste of time. I just have to add that
-
in Okay anyway, So future is important.
-
Husband and wife?
-
Can you see a future together?
-
Can or not? Right?
-
You must see a future together? Leaders, Do you see
-
a future together as we build this church? Because the
-
moment you don't see a future is not gonna work.
-
You know what's gonna happen. You are going to be
-
a torn in doctor Jason's splash. I'm just using it
-
as example. You're gonna be difficult. Everything else what cannot
-
when you don't see a future. So seeing a future
-
is important, very important. Right Can you see a future together?
-
If not, it's gonna be difficult. Husband and wife as
-
a team. Can you see a future? It's very important
-
to see a future?
-
Can or not? Can I see a future here?
-
You know? And sometimes it doesn't have to be perfect,
-
but at least see a future. Unless you totally don't
-
see any future anywhere, you have already closed the door. No,
-
don't even your prayer and ask God the moment you
-
don't see a future cannot ready. Do you know that
-
if you are able to see a future even in
-
the darkest of situations, there'll be light. But the moment
-
you cannot see a future however bright or so are.
-
Everything's going to be dug. You'll catch that. So what
-
you see in your spirit? Do you see a future?
-
Nihi Maya two seventeen says, come and let us build
-
the wall of Jerusalem that they may no longer be reproached.
-
You know, one of the years we had built a wall, right,
-
not the Trump build the wall, but the Exchange build
-
the wall.
-
Right?
-
Do you know that they only took fifty two days
-
to build the wall? Well, first went fifty two days.
-
Now my house renovation are supposed to end in five
-
months to nine months, guys, and now it wasn't even
-
a wall. It was just yeah, nine grueling months. Right,
-
They only to fifty two days. And do you know
-
that they did it in distress. One hand had to
-
hold sort, one hand.
-
Had to hold break.
-
But fifty two days they've done it because they saw
-
a future. You want to know how long the wall
-
was in ruins? I went and did some research. One
-
hundred and fourteen years it was in ruins, and they
-
only took fifty two days to complete it.
-
Think about that.
-
Trends are there things in your life today that has
-
been in ruins for one hundred and fourteen years because
-
you cannot see a future in it and it's still
-
in ruins. Are you learning something? First principle? Can see
-
future or not? Do you know that the first principle
-
very easy, very easy to see future?
-
Right?
-
We all have to see potential? Oh potential? What this girl's.
-
Opaty confirm can see future?
-
One? Then you talk to your holiday and they say,
-
please don't, right, please don't please improve yourself first?
-
Right you go to this place or what the job is?
-
So good? All of us came on.
-
We always look at potential one friends, so no issue
-
see in the future. Right, and maybe some for some
-
of us here maybe we are more passive. Mistake, it's
-
harder to see the future. Then the encouragement is, can
-
you start seeing it different light? Can you start praying
-
asking God to open.
-
Up your eyes?
-
You know, I still remember a conversation we had, I
-
think in my house, you know, talking about I think
-
some of the ladies were talking about you know who
-
they are married to now, right, I see remember this
-
conversation and it was quite cute because you want to
-
ladies said, yeah, God spoke to me, and God said,
-
you can do better than this way. Well ouch, man,
-
I so very ouch yeah like hm hm, And now
-
they're happily married, Praise the Lord. The guy must be
-
prying real hard, you know before that I don't know.
-
So seeing future is very important. You'll get it right.
-
But we also then we need the second principle to
-
help us because some of us are were positive everything yes, yes, yes,
-
and we put ourselves in situations where we suffer. So
-
because everything is so yes, right, this part is harder.
-
Let me tell you the second principle. Favor Okay Mantel
-
fourteen twenty nine says, come. He said, just one word, come, Jesus.
-
If it's you, call me and I can on what
-
He didn't say that. He said, call me and I'll
-
walk to you, you know, right, and Jesuits just say come.
-
So next question, friends, is God's favor here? Just because
-
you can see future doesn't mean God's favor is there.
-
I think we've have a line saying before just because
-
it's good doesn't mean it's God. A lot of things
-
in those world good, our friends.
-
It is good, it's good, but is it God?
-
Very important question asks, right, do you have a divine
-
appointment there? Not? Just because it sounds good doesn't mean
-
you should do it very, very careful. Just because I
-
remember a brother of Vela, I think he shared he
-
shared this line. Whatever that I think it's in the Bible.
-
So whatever that is shines that it's not gold. Just
-
because it's shiny, it doesn't mean it's good. Right, And
-
do you know that we can actually, you know, persevere
-
in what we want to the point that we will
-
compromise on different things. Do you know that that can happen?
-
Right?
-
If we if we fall into our flesh more, then
-
we will compromise on the spirit. That's the reality of life,
-
you know? So good to ask the question? Is God here?
-
Yes?
-
Thank you for the house I want the house. I've
-
seen the house I've I've done this.
-
It's good. But God, I you hear? God? Are you here?
-
What is God's favor? Well, let me teach you a
-
few things I've learned. To receive favor is to receive
-
an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual.
-
You'll catch that. How do you know it's God right
-
to favor something?
-
If God favors you to favor something, someone or something
-
means to show approval of preference, meaning you get preference.
-
No means unfair. No, it is unfair. Right, God's favor
-
is unfair to other people, but it's good for you. Okay,
-
let me go through scripture some nineteen Seventyes, Si, it's
-
made the favor of the Lord rests upon us. Establish
-
the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the
-
work of our hands. When you have the favor of
-
the Lord. Now things will become quote unquote easier. Not
-
things will get easy, but things will be easier for you. Right,
-
because you have the lot's favor, you have the loss
-
annoying thing right some ninety seventeen nalty. I prefer this version.
-
It says made a lot our God, show his approval.
-
You want God's approval or not? Do you want god'spproval?
-
I want God's approval. Right, and make our efforts successful.
-
Do you know it still takes effort? It does still
-
take effort, But is your effort successful?
-
Right? Let me tell you something I've learned.
-
Right, and again, it's not all encompassing, but I think
-
it's worth Like I say, it's a yacht stake.
-
So I ask myself this question every time.
-
I face something or do something and I've really well,
-
let's just say, I've done it a few times in
-
my life to know what to do I want not
-
to do. I've learned this lesson a little bit, you know,
-
and I've learned it the hard way, but not so
-
hot until I cannot reverse things right. So the question
-
I ask myself is, or if you think about it
-
this way, if there's more strife, hardship and heartaches compaed
-
to testimonies, then maybe just maybe God's not with me.
-
I'm not gonna testimonies are do you know that strive,
-
hardship and all can come, but then you will have testimonies,
-
then you know God's with you.
-
But if you experience strife, had.
-
Chip and all and there's no testimonies, then you gotta
-
be careful. Then you gotta reconsider. Then you're gonna maybe
-
it's time to ask God, is this really your will
-
for my life? And you know, sometimes we can get
-
high saved because we tell everybody idea that is God's will.
-
We spoke to everybody at we tell our home leader.
-
Everybody say okay, you know, like I said, Minian, God
-
spoke to me and told me I'm gonna do this.
-
You cannot say anything today. Can God spoke to you?
-
Then you go hit you're so convicted, and then there's hardship, strife, problems.
-
But then there's no favor of the lord. I think
-
you better better step back. Better step back, because you
-
can steal you turn on. No, that's why we have
-
you turn here, right. I also believe that whatever that
-
we are embucking on has to be done with joy
-
and a sense of fulfillment and purpose. I'm not saying
-
that when you have favored the lota, you won't experience
-
any hardship. You will still experience hardship. You still experience
-
all these things. But it's different when you have the
-
job of the lot. It's different when it's still fulfeling.
-
It's different when you're willing to make it. It's different
-
when you still see an unfair advantage to you. I
-
give you some testimony, it's what I mean by this.
-
Then you have an understanding. Hopefully I use experience as
-
an example. And again I know that I just mentioned
-
that this also applies not just in ministry, but my
-
experience in ministry. First, and then later I'll share you
-
a personal testimony Okay, can you guys catch that, because
-
this principle is not just all you do ministry only effects.
-
You know, sometimes we feel someie our minds so smaller. Actually,
-
God cares about everything in your life on and a
-
lot of ministry principles you can apply in your life.
-
One do you know that price, rold don't draw that
-
line right when?
-
So we started XPJA in twenty twelve. This is the
-
teen years ready, okay, September? And what happened was there
-
we prayed, you know, for a location and we had
-
no location. Friends, can I tell you this? No location.
-
The only relevance I have with PJ was that was
-
born in Asuna hospital. I don't know any rich uncle.
-
I'm not connected to anybody. I'm a crying boy, right
-
And the only reason why I guess I'm helping lead
-
is because I'm full time. Not only reason, okay, but
-
that timeline, you know, and I married my wife and
-
she's a home leader in PJ.
-
And just what happened, I'm here lot, okay.
-
So but we prayed, we pray for six months and
-
we're looking for a venue and then one of the
-
people that were interested said, hey, use my office, and
-
that time. It was at least a girl over there
-
right at facing section seventeen one of the shops, and
-
we met that to pray for one or two months.
-
And then one of the people that was involved, Henry,
-
I remember, he said, Hey, do you know that these
-
plays have a hall?
-
H really a theater hall. This is the hall out
-
they were in right now.
-
And he said that maybe we can ask and and
-
at that time I was just following instructions.
-
Okay, uh.
-
Past the Ken was very involved in in in the planting.
-
And we made an appointment to meet the management, right
-
and and and then we came. We saw the space,
-
we saw the outside space, and it was mostly past
-
the Okay. I was just observing because I don't understand
-
how to see these things or do these things yet.
-
Right.
-
And he went and he spoke to the management at
-
that time, right and again give me you an example
-
about favor of the lawna and the management said, oh,
-
you are church, you.
-
Want to use this space on Sunday? Oh okay. And
-
then they said, oh, we actually built this place.
-
With the church in mind, because before you guys, there
-
was another church there was meeting here.
-
For a year and we're like wow.
-
But they were very honest to tell us that they
-
had a very sour ending to their relationship. And then
-
we were like, oh, I don't know whether they will
-
ran to us or not.
-
Right, I'm being very honest.
-
You guys are okay about recognizing us favor. So we're like, okay, la,
-
see how la? And then they had a certain pricing
-
and then we're like, don't know whether it can or not.
-
And I remember they were very keen to rent to us.
-
We will wear a surprise, huh why And then we
-
gave them our you know, references and all. And then
-
and then of course we started using their place, you know.
-
And then we thought, okay, let's use Studio on two
-
first and during any time you were smaller, you know.
-
Of course, the first service when we launched it, we
-
had artiches plans. We purposed it another day on a Sunday,
-
and we had about three hundred people here, I remember,
-
And then the real service was the following week, right,
-
And we met in studio on two and I think
-
it's the first service that doctor Jason came and until
-
now he's HeLa okay, right, And we met there and
-
we had fifty and I remember our pastor cannot say
-
it fifty people. Once we hit the sorry, it was
-
like and again, oh me or little favor. I think
-
God has to test me, right in my mom like
-
I am maybe in the next six months we will
-
come here.
-
Maybe in the next six months. Okay. The time we
-
had about fifty passes.
-
Say once it reach us, maybe about eighty, then we
-
need to consider it. Took three weeks for it to
-
hit eighty people. Then I'm like, okay, God, my timeline
-
is six months. Your timeline is three three months, sorry,
-
three weeks. So we shifted to the theater and until
-
today is we're here?
-
Okay.
-
So remember I said one of the favor was, you know,
-
we knew the history and in our minds, nobody will
-
rent to another church because very malfine. All but they
-
opened the door and they say.
-
You can use it.
-
And then we shifted here and they say sure, and
-
of course we are here until now right, So we
-
were wreck And then the other plus point was the pricing.
-
I can't tell you, I can't remember the pricing that
-
but they gave us a good discount for us to
-
use and they even tell us, hey, friends, where can
-
you have a place that doesn't belong to you, are
-
that they booked the whole year for you? You know?
-
Do you know that when other people use this space,
-
they pay more, but we have favor with them? Then
-
you tell me that this space is not for us,
-
So recognizing us where is important. Let me tell you
-
another thing that I still remind myself. See, is God's
-
favor gonna be with us forever in this space?
-
I don't know.
-
Okay, I'm not gonna take it for granted. If one
-
day we've got no favorite, we move flat.
-
Okay.
-
By that time, all of you here might be you know,
-
millionaires city, or maybe some of you are ready secret
-
millionaires and you own a hall somewhere. You know that
-
you can offer us for cheap. Please send me no okay,
-
I don't know. I know, I'm just pulling it out there, okay.
-
Or maybe you have a rich uncle.
-
I don't know. I'm still praying for a rich uncle.
-
Er. Yeah, we are here for thirteen years. Ready, friends,
-
the management has changed three times. I'm still here. Tell
-
me that not us favor? Think about it. You guys
-
like this place, right, so let's take care of this space.
-
Can you recognize God's favor in your life. Not it
-
is it don't make sense on No, he don't make
-
sense son. You know, I learned about that. And then
-
when I walk with Passus Steven to plant Xbu, we
-
were also looking for us favor. We were looking for
-
gus favor. I remember this one place that we went
-
and some of us here, we were involved in it,
-
and they wanted to rent a place in Katie called
-
the High for someone that it was a shop lot upstairs,
-
three flows up, you know, and they were like, oh
-
and Passa.
-
Steve was very.
-
Happy because he could recognize that the place.
-
No he and of course he learning this.
-
And by the time I really learned about future favor
-
faith ready right, So I work with him and I
-
show him not you know, pasta cannot emulated deciper ship.
-
I learned how it looks like I practice on my
-
own life. I practice on the things of God, right,
-
And then I'm trying to teach him and he don't
-
understand because everything looks good. He saw the future in
-
a place, awesome place tree flows are still got leave
-
very small leaf. And then we went and do it
-
wrecky and then we were like a we already like
-
Kanchungan Kota Damasarai, and then we organized the wreki and
-
then our church elders came, you know, and I remember
-
I had a chat with you know, Ale and el
-
Can look at me and said, no, I cannot at
-
this space. And I'm like, okay, I don't really understand why,
-
but I recognized God's anointing over the elders of our
-
church that they have wisdom and they might see.
-
Things I don't see.
-
And of course he brought up you know, you'll be
-
very difficult for young families, one leaf stroller, all these
-
different things, and of course passus Steven is our campus pasta.
-
He's like, ha, young families, new care about them or not?
-
You don't feel the rasa you're doing rasa? Okay, huh,
-
we're gonna reach campus student naw, don't you worry about them?
-
Yeah? Right?
-
But I said no, he was not happier. Of course,
-
I said let's keep looking, and then he's like, oh,
-
but then, and then can I be honest? I can't
-
go through too much details, but there were one of
-
two things about the deal which felt iffy to Mi.
-
La felt just a bit efe like like there are
-
one or two things. We had to compromise, and I'm like, no, God,
-
if you give us savor, you'll be full on clean
-
slate one okay, right, So I told him, you know, happy,
-
and then we went hunting and then eventually we found
-
One World hotel and that was another story, you know.
-
I I don't have much time to go through that,
-
and we met there. But let me tell you the
-
thing that I didn't know and he didn't know, an
-
elder didn't know but got new. If you go to
-
Xbu now, right, half the congregation, our young families, I
-
tell you this thing about seeing God saver is very
-
amazing one, you know. So I'm gonna teachase to you guys.
-
Hopefully you can see it right, because we can see
-
the future for our life, but we don't think into
-
consideration God's favor or God's hand in it, and then
-
we get ourselves in trouble and then we ask God,
-
why why? Why?
-
A Lord?
-
I thought you supposed blessed and gods sitting there like
-
these are huge charity passerson really, you know. And of
-
course God will save you lave, okay, he is our
-
God and loves us right, but favor of the Lord,
-
right A good question I ask myself, you know, and
-
time and time again, I will ask myself this question.
-
That's why I think maybe my wife will so when
-
she see me like pursue something and I'm like, so
-
answer for it, and I can't just suddenly stop and
-
don't do it anymore, And then she's like confused, right, Yeah,
-
she were confused because I will ask myself this one question.
-
Does this bring me grief? You understand word grief or not?
-
Grief is not hart cheating.
-
All grief is not just sending us grief is like,
-
oh really, I don't feel like waking up in the morning.
-
Then I will ask God, God, I'm a child of God, following,
-
you shouldn't bring me grief. Yes, I know it brings
-
me challenges. I know it brings me a heartache sometimes
-
to make me stronger, but it will never bring me grief. Instead,
-
it will always bring me peace and your favor. So
-
if it brings me grief, don't do That's how I'm
-
very careful. Also, we're partnering people nowadays. Does this bring
-
me grief?
-
You know?
-
And of course you must test test test love, right,
-
And I'm okay one because I know that when I
-
follow God, It'll be good.
-
Your catch that.
-
Let's talk about the third principle. So the first principle
-
is easy. The second principle we kind of can see
-
it also sometimes you know you can and can I
-
tell you this thing about God's favor. God's favor is
-
very obvious one. You cannot explain it one. And once
-
it happen, then you need to act on the third principle,
-
which is faith.
-
Your catch that?
-
What does the scripture say? Matthew fourteen twenty nine says,
-
then Peter got down out of the board, walked through
-
the water, and came toward Jesus. These faith part really friends,
-
You already saw the future, You already experienced God's favor.
-
Is your turn now to work out in faith? No?
-
No, God, wait, can you show me another sign? Sometimes
-
God be nice to you and show you one sign. No, no, no, no,
-
I'm not really yet, you know. Let the young fellas
-
do it, the young fella. The old people say that,
-
the young fellow do. The young fellas say, let the
-
old people do then, who do nobody do the passa
-
do everything. Second Corinthians five seven says, for we walk
-
by faith and not by sight. Proverbs five three six.
-
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean
-
not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
-
and he.
-
Should direct your paths.
-
Hebrews eleven six says, but without faith it is impossible
-
to please him. For he who comes to God must
-
believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder
-
of those who delive gently seek him. We need faith, friends,
-
This is the third part, right, it's hardest. But do
-
you know that when you step can step by in
-
faith the next time you face situations I this again
-
you know how to do. But of course there's the
-
two things in the beginning that has happened. You know,
-
if you step by in faith without checking whether you
-
got favor of God and whether you see a future,
-
that's foolishness. It's not faith. You see the yard stick,
-
You see how it works. Yes, you need to see
-
a future. But if you see a future and you
-
don't search a first favor and you step by in faith,
-
it's foolish. Not so so God, God, as you do
-
or not? Is it really God's voice? Be very very careful,
-
Elma fast said, be very very quiet, say be very
-
very careful.
-
It's a good yard stick. Right, it's a good yard stick.
-
You'll catch that. So after so chef you.
-
So we had to step out in faith to look
-
for another place. And I remember we had a conversation
-
passke Enough and he said, you know, hey, guys, I
-
know you've been looking for a venue for ex Kota
-
Damansara already for a long time and you cannot find
-
a place. No favor okay, one near miss, near heat
-
And he said, actually, did God really say ex Kota Damansara.
-
There was a question he asked. And again the two
-
people that were involved in this project was me and
-
passed Steven. And that was very interesting. I always ask God,
-
why do you send him? Of all people, why do
-
you send this guy from ex Central Subang? You know,
-
why didn't you raise someone from my leadership? Because that
-
was what was the plan. You know, I really shared
-
with the leadership. Were gon, any of you want to
-
take it up? Nobody take it up. So the deal
-
with me was, oh, you know, God, nobody.
-
Take it up. I take it up. Blah. Actually I
-
got a secret planner.
-
You know, I want to leave this place time weare
-
this courage, Can I be honest with you? I want
-
to experience more of newness of God because I was
-
dealing with stiff neck people, right, I mean, you guys
-
are awesome. So I was like, ah, right, but got
-
ready his person up. So even say, actually, God just
-
asked me a blanche, he doesn't have to be Katie.
-
It can be anywhere, because yeah, it can be anyway.
-
And for me it's like I just want to plant chiela.
-
God didn't specifically say x KAT. God said x kat.
-
You know, we only chose XKT because there was the
-
potential just plan that we talked about. Right, So then
-
he said, why don't you guys check out one more hotel,
-
you know, and if you do one more hotel, then
-
he's in Bano Tama, then maybe you can call it
-
x Bana Dama. And I went, okay, let's go check
-
it out. So we went right, we went, and we
-
saw the place and we saw the new nice hall
-
and I remember where clearly he was going for five
-
thousand ringgit even it's taken three thousand ringgit no not tree, yeah,
-
five thousand ring git half a day. And we were like,
-
cannot ford that can free hundred people. And then we
-
were like oh okay, and we're going to leave really,
-
you know. And the guy say, hey, hold on, what's
-
your budget and we're like, oct yeah, budgets very low.
-
And he's like, you know what, there's one place that
-
I want to show you. You know, it's always the
-
kind of situation. There's one place I want to show
-
you that I don't normally show the people, but I
-
think you guys might like it. And we went and
-
see the old hall that they just ran out bit
-
third and that was where we met, right, and of
-
course that time the whole costs three thousand and eight eight.
-
And then I again I walked it before MA, so
-
I tell pass Steven, you know a lot of potential.
-
We saw the future in that place. Is possible to
-
have exkis and all these different things. And then I said, okay,
-
when they were quoting us, I said, us for fifty
-
percent discount, you're very extion. Now, no, I want to
-
recognize costs favor, right. And the thing is we also
-
know the pricing and all that, but PJ is don't
-
know why you're very expensive, right, you guys own homes
-
in PJ. PJ homes are like more expended and kil homes.
-
You're going to be a rich man.
-
Next time.
-
They say yes, and I say, Stephen, time to walk
-
in faith, because God really spoke, and of course they
-
met that he experienced future favor faith. They just shifted
-
maybe a this year. I think shifted to Avante Hotel.
-
They also have a similar testimony. Hey, I will catch
-
out the testimony. They're looking for a place too small
-
already he wanted to go to another place, went to
-
Avante Hotel.
-
Guys, I went to a hotel before. Let's just say that.
-
They didn't give us the time of day because the
-
only Lion corporate clients.
-
We are too small a project for them.
-
So he went there. Of course the time he already knew.
-
So I'm like, okay, you know how the Jalan Jalana
-
and then he Jala himself. He went and see the
-
place of pasquav and I think they met my wife
-
there and they were going to leave the place because
-
again never really Lion.
-
And then else he.
-
Was walking out, his Sonny got a phone call even
-
where are you? He was the manager from the one
-
that gave us a place in one hotel. The manager
-
I forgot his name. Day he called, Hey, I saw
-
you just came out of one hotel.
-
What are you doing there? Yeah, of course you're like,
-
oh no, he said, Well, can I let me just
-
be honest.
-
You were looking for a place. Oh really, Hey, can
-
I tell you something, Steven. I just started my new
-
job at Avande Hotel yesterday. I know what you need.
-
Let me get it for you favor of God. Can
-
I share you another thing that's quite cool? Every time
-
I drive the Avande Hotel, and it's not just me
-
any speaker, Okay, I think past also we experience his
-
elder Terence every time we drive the other day hotel.
-
We have a reserve parking at the valet for us.
-
Tell me that it's not God's favor. We're not paying
-
so much more or no, everything that they need, they
-
have friends. We've got to recognize God's favor in our life.
-
And once you recognize, we move in faithity your cash
-
tian On, let me share you a few things and
-
I'll share your personal testimony. I know I don't have
-
much time, Maday, what can derailers? So what can derailers
-
from this future favor faith?
-
Thing?
-
Well, I just wrote down a few things here. Okay,
-
I'll share you three things.
-
Okay.
-
First thing is discouragement and destruction, right Matthew fourteen, the dsays,
-
but when he saw the win, he was afraid, beginning
-
to sing and cry out, Lord save me, Thank God,
-
Jesus there. But you see, if we see a future,
-
whether you see a future, maybe there's favor.
-
Maybe you need to stand faith.
-
Do you know at any of this time you can
-
be distracted, You can be discouraged, and discursion is very powerful.
-
Once the devil disguises you on you won't pursue what
-
God has for you already?
-
Do you know that Joma was discouraged many times?
-
Recently, I was talking to a young adult and he
-
was telling me the different challenges hey to face because
-
he was also neurodivergent and he had to go through
-
different challenges. And he told me that, you know past
-
one of the things one of the Bible that I
-
really love us job because Joe went through every single
-
challenger and until the end he didn't get a reason
-
why from God. And I loved that because I experienced
-
that and I still don't know why I'm going through
-
sound the challenges, but God was with him. Wow. Friends,
-
can we have that perspective like Shaderick meschag and a
-
bandy goal. Even if God don't save us, we will
-
still not bow down to you. Right, Discouragements and destruction.
-
Do you know that discouragements can derail you? So yeah,
-
it's derail men. This is the plan. Yes, there's bums
-
along the way, there's things along the way. If you
-
just held on a little longer, you wouldn't have You
-
would have experienced a break truth. But we are discouraged
-
and we start sinking. Second thing that can be realised
-
it's our own hearts.
-
This is very, very true. Right.
-
Jeremiah seventeen nine says the heart is deceitful above all
-
things and beyond cure. Who can understand it. The one
-
other thing that I've learned right in my life as
-
a believer in disciple shape is that I cannot trust myself.
-
I cannot trust myself, especially if I really want that
-
thing I like. You cannot trust myself because I will
-
tell myself, convince myself, justify all the things to get it.
-
It's always good to bounce it off in another percent.
-
That's why discipleship is very important. It's always good to
-
have a neutral party speaking into your life. That's why
-
we are so big on it because if we really
-
want it, we'll get it. That's the reality of life, right, die, die,
-
you will go get it. So our hearts is deceitful.
-
That's why it's good to have a bouncing off, right.
-
That's the answer to that is Jeremiah seventeen seven ten. Okay,
-
maybe we turn to it real quick, are you guys?
-
Okay?
-
You can be patient enough for me to share my testimonials,
-
all right, can I Okay?
-
Our end with that?
-
Okay, So Jeremiah seventeen seven to ten will be the
-
answer to the heart. Oh my goodness, Maybe actually we
-
can help me, okay, he says, yeah seventeen seventeen, say yeah, okay.
-
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and
-
who's helped me the Lord. Don't trust yourself, trusting God. Okay,
-
what's next? For he shall be like a tree planted
-
by the waters, which spreads out these roots by the river,
-
and will not feel when the heat comes by. Its
-
sleep will be green and not be anxious in the
-
year of draft, nor we'll cease from yielding fruit. The
-
heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately we who
-
can know it. The Lord search the heart and test
-
the mind, even to give every man according to his ways,
-
according to the fruit of his doings. One good way
-
to check yourself is to be close to God.
-
One good way is to trust God word. God's word.
-
God says, there is wisdom in the counsel of many.
-
Don't just listen to any counsel.
-
Within the church.
-
People who are you know who knows what we're talking
-
about in terms of aligning to God.
-
That's the counsel you need.
-
Can you listen to people out there who don't have God? Can?
-
Can you go listen to them? They'll give you another
-
kind of advice. Is it going to be bad? No,
-
it's going to be good. But is it going to
-
be God's advice? So be careful who you listen to friends, right,
-
because the reality is our heart is deceitful. The last thing,
-
which is a very drama thing that would derail us
-
from God's plan is this. The opposite of submission is rebellion.
-
That that's the reality. He rules the thing sevent Things says,
-
Obey those who rule over you and be submissive, for
-
they watch out for your souls. As those who must
-
give account, let them do so with joy and not
-
with grief, for that will be unprofitable for you.
-
That's the reality.
-
While we're big on decyber shit, well, we want to
-
help people. That's the goal of it, right, So we
-
got to be wear careful friends.
-
We got to bear careful.
-
As we want to pursue the will of God in
-
our lives and as we measure it up. We also
-
got to check our hearts and be aligned to God
-
right because God does have good things for us friends.
-
And yes it might be challenging, but it's not impossible.
-
It might be difficult, but God will have testimony.
-
You know.
-
One of the things that I'm praying for in our
-
church is we need campus students.
-
Really, we use to have their tee.
-
And I don't know, maybe the DEVI wil come and
-
mess different ones up and different people lost hope over
-
the church. But I remember when I plow the ground,
-
you know, we started one, two three, God brought the
-
right people.
-
Now we're seeing trickles come back.
-
Yesterday, one of the leaders, I think Jamie Shid, she
-
shared in a group, Hey, you know, I feel that
-
you know, anybody want to follow us to go and
-
reach out to the chempras student to go and give flyers.
-
I say, go ahead, if you're feeling like go hit
-
walk in faith. And we got one sign up. You
-
know how prescious that one sign up is. Even if
-
the person don't come, just even if the person don't
-
receive Jesus on the spot, it doesn't matter. Maybe we
-
can help the person have better mental health. Don't look
-
down on the little.
-
That you have.
-
But as we saw, as we continue to sow friends,
-
Chemera students, hear me out, as you continue to sew
-
your bad food, don't despise the little that you saw.
-
Don't despise that one invite because as you do it
-
and as you want in faith, you will come. God
-
will will be the one who gives you the increase.
-
Let me share you a testimony on future favor of faith,
-
and I will start with not so nice things.
-
So I stay in my house since twenty.
-
Eleven, that's like fourteen years ready, And I think I've
-
said before that there was a period in my life
-
where I didn't like my house very much, and I
-
wanted the shift to p J right, because again, convince myself, right,
-
oh you know here is better. Right, then I can
-
have homes and then I can be closer to some
-
of you guys, then we can have fellowship and stuff
-
for that.
-
Right. And for two years we look, we.
-
Search, and I remember my wife was very stressed out
-
because the husband was giving her stress. Right, and we
-
say my chief and all that kind of stuff. But
-
thank God, thank God, as I applied this, I didn't
-
see God's favor at all.
-
I didn't.
-
I saw a future. I saw a future, but I
-
didn't see God's favor. So don't see God's favor. Thank God,
-
I know enough to don't do lah. So there was
-
once I remember I said, dear, you know what, let's
-
just stay here. Let me deal with this frustration. And
-
I saw the stress leave for eyes. Two years stress
-
leave for eyes. Now I was like, wow, Lord, what
-
have I done? And then God started changing my perspective
-
about my house. He started telling me, hey, if you
-
want a nicer, bigger house, can you take care of
-
this one? READI or not change my perspective. And of
-
course pandemic happened, and different things happened, and I started
-
this project on doing up my house, you know, gardening la,
-
doing this, doing that, lah, different things lah right, and
-
it was good and I started living my house again,
-
I'm like, woll, Lord, thank you for this house. And
-
of course during the pandemic, this is like the best
-
thing ever are you know?
-
You tied up each other.
-
You can go upstairs if we say in a condo
-
or tie if each other can't go anywhere, no, and
-
then my kids can still run outside.
-
We can pull you know, it was good.
-
I was like, well, Lord, thank god I didn't shift
-
because I wore being in financial ruin. I would have
-
been in I don't know what else happened to me.
-
La right, So Stewart ship, Stewart the house and then
-
come the final frontier because during this time, even when
-
I let my house, the back of my house was
-
a jungle where animals life to stay.
-
There was one amd where my.
-
Wife texts me and say, dear, a cobra just came
-
into the back of our washing machine at ten ninety
-
t am and I'm like, I have to do it
-
is a baby cobra. And I think recently or so,
-
there was another drama. You know, got Monito isard come
-
in the front of our house. Anyway, there's another story, right,
-
And my wife was sitting there for twenty minutes to
-
care the monitar is it having a conversation with him?
-
Okay, you can ask me later.
-
Okay, there was the final frontier, but no, my neeed
-
to renovate, so don't do anything.
-
Law.
-
And then this year, my you know, you talk about
-
the cybership. Let me give you the power of the
-
cyber ship. You know, whatever that your disciple has can
-
flow down? Can no can flow down? And what happened
-
was my pastor switch. Your father ran everything his house,
-
good la. And then of course he shared here and
-
I was like, yeah, praise to God, you know. And
-
then my hearded leaders run everything house and I'm like, okay, great, law,
-
both you got money, go ahead, you know, I mean
-
has got no money but got provided.
-
Okay, we all know, thank God, but I don't have ma.
-
And then of course how they encourage our Hey, where
-
do you try? You know?
-
Then I li Liana, we lion. I didn't see a future. Friends,
-
I just liean on me. Okay, okay, like Liana, let
-
me call the contractors, see so happened to be placed?
-
Give me the coord you know.
-
And then I Liana asked us, you know you're shown
-
to help me draw the plans and then pray you
-
know maybe like it will happen, but honestly, I didn't
-
see the future. It's like it didn't happen. It's fine,
-
I'll be happy. And of course I've said that before
-
hear it. And then the first testimony happened. God gave
-
me a seat, money, not a lot, no friends, not
-
even fifty ten percent on me of the projected and
-
I'm like, and I was so shocked with it that
-
when I came home, my wife looked at me and say,
-
what are you so worried? And I said, this happened,
-
and I said, should need to be happy. I'm like,
-
it's never happened to me if I'm shocked, But I
-
knew God was telling me move forward.
-
So then I had to take the step of faith.
-
This is how my house looks like, Dinna, So stele
-
of faith, right, take a stele of faith, Jalana. And
-
of course, if you're familiar with renovation work, you can
-
stop Halfayanna.
-
It's not all the way.
-
So I was like, okay, Lord, if you run out money,
-
then I would just deal with.
-
Whatever comes my way.
-
But at least there's a roof, and you know, so
-
don't don't don't forward first this leave it to this.
-
So what happened was.
-
God showed me a future and God showed me faith
-
at the same favor at the same time.
-
So he opened up my eyes. So what do I do?
-
Walk one step on?
-
What?
-
One step?
-
Okay, take the step of faith and then wait, can
-
I see another future?
-
Show me favor? Take the step of faith.
-
Right during this time and this season, my wife was
-
very stressed out in the world, and she asked me
-
how they are, and I said, yeah, you know what,
-
just quit your job black. I also think it's about
-
time a lot of favor, thinking that she will find
-
job in two months, and God gave her a five
-
month break. You know the job is is her sabbatical?
-
Is my wilderness?
-
Single income family house renovation? A lot of money going out?
-
Can we survive? Do we have money? I fastworded tsemoney
-
to yalla? This is how my house loooks sit. Now
-
can you show the next photo?
-
Do you know that?
-
There were many many times where I in my mom like,
-
you know what, if you've got no capbiness is fine.
-
If no things is fine, it's friends.
-
God provided.
-
I mean, thank God. Now wife, job you know we are,
-
you know, building our finances and stuff like that. If
-
you ask me then when we started, do we have
-
the money to complete the job? Don't have no, And
-
of course the job is, well, my job is. You know,
-
God gave past the keenough that one person name I
-
was praying very hard for the one person Namer. I
-
was also looking at those people here, and you know,
-
maybe God impressed your heart or my name to pray
-
for you. Until today. I didn't get any name until today.
-
No rich uncle called me. But God provided the bill,
-
got provided the bill. We fully pay off everything, really,
-
and we're enjoying the kitchen now right.
-
No stress, I mean got stressed start, but no grief.
-
No grief friends. And the thing is, the kitchen is
-
being well.
-
Used now okay, because I get to givite people.
-
You'll come right.
-
Those that haven't come here, don't worry, give me time.
-
I'm tackling it slowly with my wife. I hope you
-
catch something today. I know it's a very simple well simple,
-
not simple, yeah, stick. But the encouragement is, at the
-
end of the day, you learn how to walk in faith,
-
you learn how to want in the spirit, you learn
-
how to trust God through different challenges, and you know,
-
that God will opened the door.
-
He will, he will open the door for you.
-
He will show you things, and then it's our turn
-
to walk in faith, because if we hold ourselves.
-
Back, once you can see the future.
-
Once you can see and and you know, the wonderful
-
thing why I'm sharing that that story to you is because.
-
I didn't see a future in my mind.
-
In my simple mind, I'm like, Noah, no way, I'm
-
gonna run away my house knowing it's going to be
-
so nice, you know, until today me and kitchen and
-
going like this is our kitchen. I cannot believe. Man,
-
you know it's the nicest room in so you're like
-
hanging out there, you know there is like the living
-
room is okay?
-
I mean, God, it's good our friends. I'm not saying
-
this to boss.
-
I'm just saying this to encourage you because I wonder
-
what will be your testimony. I wonder that when you
-
learn to work in you know, with this in mind,
-
what God.
-
Would do for you? And please check, please don't keep
-
it to yourself. Can you see a future? Now?
-
I know somew you here you are believing for different things,
-
But can you see a future? And yes, you can
-
see a future good. Then the next thing is, God,
-
are you here with me? Can you show me, show
-
me a sign? And once you show you a clear signer,
-
please move readly, no, don't wait, move really because we
-
need to take responsibility of what we pray for. And
-
I tell you after that you're life. If your experience
-
with Him will grow and there'll be other things, not
-
just in the area of ministry, but the area of
-
your life.
-
It's very important. Amen.
-
I know I don't have much time right now. I
-
just want to pray for different ones here. Maybe we'll
-
just encourage you to just close your eyes and just
-
reflect a little bit on your own line. Da da
-
da shadia sick. I know different people here are believing
-
for children. I'm earnestly praying for you. I'm declaring really
-
that twenty twenty five is going to be a fruitful
-
year for BJA in the area of kids.
-
I believe that with you.
-
Yes, some might have to go through IBF, some might be,
-
you know, believing for natural some might be overcoming their fears.
-
Friends, I'm believing.
-
With you that God will come true for you, not
-
your own efforts, but God's effort. But this is a
-
good principle. Do you see a future not? Most important?
-
Yes? Is it together? Husband, wife? Yes? Ask for God's
-
favor and he.
-
Will lead you. Once he leads, you walk in faith
-
and trust him. Trust him, trust his timing, Trust his timing.
-
Don't be so conscum. Trust his timing. Even if it
-
takes a wal more, it's okay. Trust his timing.
-
I think sometimes a lot of us we jump into
-
things because we think it's good, but then we get
-
our us in trouble, and then after.
-
That we're too a shame to deal with.
-
Ned do a shame to come back to a shame
-
and every can you're living it and think it becomes.
-
Part of our life.
-
Don't get their friends, don't get there. God is here
-
for you. Do not forsake him. God is here for
-
your family. Do not forsaking. Do you know that if
-
you made mistakes in the past, it's okay because high
-
s blood wash us all seen away. You can start
-
a fresh day. That's the wonderful thing about God. You
-
don't have to live in fear or live in the
-
fear of past regrets. You can walk into a new future.
-
I'm just sharing you testimonies. But do you know the
-
amouth mistakes. I make many, many mistakes. That's why I
-
learned to adjust. I learned to be wiser. I learned
-
to not get myself in trouble, and I hope you'll
-
do the same.
-
