I'm just so excited to just share God's work with
-
all of you. And so if you are taking down notes,
-
you know, the title message today is called Revived and
-
Reconciled to Reach. Revive and reconcile to Reach. I thought,
-
it's my first time coming to preaching XPG, I needed
-
to have a message that sounded a little bit more intellectual.
-
And because I know you guys are used to like
-
pass the elving and all that. You know, usually i'll
-
get stuff like, you know, Parable of the Baby or
-
Mosquito or something stuff like that. But you know, but
-
don't just the titles just there to help us frame
-
our thoughts. But let's look at some scripture first. It's okay,
-
we're gonna read three blocks of scripture and then we're
-
gonna unpack them together, and then we're gonna just you know,
-
and then we're gonna maybe learn three take on points
-
and then we can have more conversation after service. Amen.
-
And so the first passion scripture that we want to
-
turn to is John chapter twenty one, John one, verse
-
fifteen to nineteen. John twenty one, fifteen to nineteen. If
-
you have your Bibles, you can turn to it. Otherwise
-
we also have it flash up on the screen for you,
-
and we can read it, you know, together. Even so,
-
if your dad can't hear, good, Amen, Amen, let's go. So,
-
when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter
-
Simon son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?
-
He said to him, yes, Lord, you know that I
-
love you. He said to him, feed my lambs. He
-
said to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonah,
-
do you love me? He said to him, yes, Lord,
-
you know that I love you. He said to him,
-
ten my sheep. He said to him the third time, Simon,
-
son of Jonah, do you love me? And Peter worst
-
was grieved because he said to him the third time,
-
do you love me? And he said to him, Lord,
-
you know you know all things. You know that I
-
love you, And Jesus said to him, feed my sheep.
-
Most shortly, I say to you, when you were younger,
-
you girded yourself and walked where you wish. But when
-
you are old, you will stretch out your hands and
-
another will gird you and carry you where you do
-
not wish. This he spoke, signifying by what death he
-
would glorify God. And where spoken this he said to him,
-
follow me, follow me. Amen, Let's just let God's words
-
soak in a little bit into our hearts. And let's
-
turn to Second Corinthians, chapter three, and you're gonna read
-
from verse two to three. Second Corinthians three, Verse two
-
to three. Amen, this apostle Paul writing, he says, you
-
are our epistle, just an old English word of saying,
-
you are our letters. You are our epistle, our letters
-
written in our hearts, known and read by all men.
-
You are epistle of Christ, a letter of Christ ministered
-
by us, written not with ink as letters are usually written,
-
but by the spirit of the living God, not on
-
tablets of stone, but on tablets of flesh, that is,
-
off the hearts. Amen. Has let that concept soak in.
-
So we we we we we just meditated on the
-
cost of following Jesus and Jesus's invitation for us to
-
follow him and to serve him. And an apostle Paul
-
builds on that and says that as we serve him,
-
we we we we are sent out, and we are
-
not just flesh and blood set out, but we are
-
like letters from God, love letters of God, postcards of heaven,
-
images of Christ sent out for the world to read,
-
for the world to interact with. Amen with before that,
-
not all of friends will read the Bible, they will
-
read you. So what our lives pointing to Amen, Just
-
let that soak in. We'll build on all these concepts, okay,
-
and then one last scripture and then we'll go on.
-
John chapter twenty one, verse twenty five. John twenty one
-
twenty five. Right, John twenty one twenty five says this,
-
and this is like the last verse of the Gospel
-
of Johnny and the very hopeful note. And there are
-
so many other things that Jesus did which if they
-
were written one by one, I suppose that even the
-
world itself could not contain the books that would be
-
written a man. Amen, And so a possible job. And
-
it's such a hopeful note that, you know, building upon
-
all these concepts. Right, we're invited to follow Christ. And
-
it was set out into the world as love letters
-
of God. And and and his hope is that is that,
-
you know, we as more and more people sent out
-
we and and and more people having their lives written
-
by God overwritten by God one by one. His hope
-
is as the hope of our Church, that the whole
-
earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory
-
of God. Amen. Infact, he goes further, He says, made
-
the whole world not have enough space for the beautiful
-
stories of the many lives and many things that Jesus
-
have done. Amen. So I just want us to just
-
you know, read the scripture and then you know, we
-
can tell some jokes and then if you can go home, no,
-
that's okay, you know, And and I just want us
-
to just listen to this scripture and just meditate on them.
-
And you know, you know this month of curs Uh
-
is uh. You know, an emphasis on missions and prayer
-
as you have heard from announcements earlier on you know,
-
missions conference is coming up. Uh. And of course you
-
know we have the days of Prayer fast coming up.
-
But having they know that this even though we're doing it,
-
and there's an emphasis this month and the next month
-
even for it. But it's just an emphasis. You know,
-
the Law desires that this not just be an occasional thing,
-
but he desires this to be an all the time thing. Right.
-
And but the thing is, when it comes to you know,
-
missions and being used by God, you know, usually our prayer.
-
It's not God send me, God used me in many times,
-
or prayer's like God send my neighbor, use my neighbor.
-
God send my home group leader, you know, send that
-
that person you know who likes to talk a lot
-
in ter send him, you know. But God wants us
-
to know that He is in the business of involving us,
-
using us. And you see this established in the first
-
passage of scripture that we read. No, you have that. No,
-
Jesus after breakfast. This is you know, after Peter, you know,
-
was invited back by Jesus. Jesus went out to seek
-
for him and all of us here at one time.
-
The other God went out the way to seek for us.
-
But you know, maybe something we're going on. I still
-
where God. You know it was that auntie who brought
-
me to church. Yeah, the Lord went out to seek
-
for you in the not in the form of your auntie.
-
Don't don't, don't have weird thoughts about that. But but
-
but through your auntie, through your youth pastor, through your
-
high school teacher, through your neighbor, through that family member,
-
the Lord went out. The Lord used their lives. The
-
Lord impacted them and used their life to invite you
-
to to have a conversation with you, and that is
-
the heart of God. Jesus went out and he invited
-
Peter back for breakfast, and then he began to you know,
-
have breakfast and begin to say, Peter, do you love
-
me more than these? And he wasn't talking about fish,
-
he wasn't talking about breakfast. I know some almost here
-
we really love breakfast, you know. Since coming back to Malaysia,
-
I was reminded how much Malaysians love eating, you know,
-
and and in the first week I resisted it, you know,
-
like a typical you know Malaysia who's been overseas a lot.
-
You know, I came back, you know, with a fake accent.
-
I'm just I didn't uh this, this accent can't change,
-
you know. Every time and stand out here, and I
-
get so nervous when people people say, you know, like, oh,
-
it's our passer from London. I'm thinking, please don't say that,
-
Please don't say that. They're going to expect a white guy,
-
you know. So the moment I step up, disappointment number one.
-
You know, hey, he's not white. It was this man.
-
And then disappointment number two. The moment I opened my
-
mouth is like, what what kind of what kind of
-
accent is that? You know? And you know it's it's
-
it's you know, it's it's I've just lost my part. No no,
-
So I came back and you know, I and I
-
realized that man Malaysians love eating, eating, eating, eating, eating,
-
and uh and and and Jesus is saying that, hey,
-
do you love me more than this? Do you love
-
me than the good things in your life? And and
-
that's what the fish and the bountiful catch represent, the
-
good things, the blessing. You love me more than the blessings,
-
Jesus is asking us today, do you love me more
-
than even I don't know your comforts, because maybe that's
-
what fishing represented to Peter his comfort zone. And God
-
is saying that, hey, I love you, and we've been
-
through quite the adventure, but I'm inviting you to write
-
a new chapter. And a lot of us here, you know,
-
it's so good to come back and to see some
-
of the people that we've had a privilege of doing
-
live with in the UK comeback and they're serving and
-
they're doing well and a looking more, looking more beautiful
-
every day, and it's so good to see you know,
-
some of our friends who we last hung out ten
-
years ago, looking a little bit older but still very
-
beautiful and uh you know, introducing now their beautiful children
-
to us and all these kind of things, you know,
-
or they're beautiful pets for those who don't have children,
-
or their wonderful cass whatever it is that you're into.
-
And and you know, sometimes when we look back, you know,
-
like like you know, pass Elvin and I can look
-
bad and like he said, you know, yeah, we used
-
to go out and we used to you know, have
-
x TV that the chairperson's job in in the know
-
before times next church used to be so easy. Uh,
-
they just had to come up and then do it.
-
Now time you just say and now fix your eyes
-
on the screen, Uh take it away x TV and
-
then you know, to be presenters coming out and he
-
will be past the Alvin passa. Elvin will be the
-
main brain in the early days filming it, you know,
-
producing it, editing it just before life with Jessica of course,
-
you know, that's why he had time to to you know,
-
and uh, you know I also wasn't married yet. You
-
also we had time to go out and paint the
-
town red. You know, we will come out with comedies
-
kids many times on the spot, you know, and so
-
it was it was really fun and things like that.
-
You know that. Of course, when he got married that
-
he said that it passed not very not very sustainable.
-
You know, we do this every you know anyway, I'm
-
just okay, but but we used to paint the town
-
rare and do crazy things for the Lord. And some
-
of us here were like that too. You know you
-
look back and go like it's all you know, serve
-
the Lord what like Peter served the Lord? You know,
-
because Peter by then had really loved his vocation and
-
followed Jesus around Israel for three years three and a half.
-
Some people say they've been through a lot of things.
-
He sliced some ears and seen the years farmed back again.
-
He's seeing Jesus raise the day, he's seeing stuff. He's
-
fat the thousands, he's he's, he's, he's, he's. He's had
-
a very powerful and fruitful three years of ministry. And
-
for some of us here we are in a similar
-
situation like Peter. You know, right now the Lord is
-
good and there's a blessing in your life. And when
-
you look back even feels like I've done my share
-
of ministry and now you're comfortable or not, just that
-
you look back and you see your ministries with with
-
with great pride, You see your past testimonies with great pride,
-
and you go like wow, you hold it up like trophies.
-
And that's exactly what Jesus was challenging. Jesus is saying, Peter,
-
do you love me more than these, more than the blessing,
-
more than the comfort, more than even that monumental first miracle.
-
Let's not forget when when when Peter first met Jesus
-
it was. It wasn't just you know, a good day,
-
good meeting. You know, sometimes you remember you not orders
-
remember the first time met you La. We're both new
-
to church and we have those moments right with some
-
of us here, Oh the first time I met you,
-
you know, you wore that funny shirt. But the first
-
time jeans be the met that it was marked by
-
a miracle. And sometimes we can look back and our
-
passed and go like wow, the miracles, you know, and
-
and and hold you up like the trophy, hold it
-
up like like our personal Oscar golden globes, and just
-
just leave it there and and like Peter, be tempted
-
to go into retirement mode. And Jesus is saying, do
-
you love me more than this? You know, would you
-
come with me again, and and and and and create
-
new miracles? Would you come out of your retirement again?
-
Because that's the heart of God. God is not into moments.
-
God is not into ministry for ministry state. God wants
-
to change our ordinary lives and make us into a
-
movement for him. God's not into building monuments. God's into
-
creating movements. And he's saying to Peter, Peter, I've redeemed you,
-
I've reviving you right now. I'm reconciling with you right now.
-
But would you say yes to to coming a one
-
more adventure with me to reach the world? And that
-
is the same invitation. I believe that God wants to
-
extend to all of us here today, because some of
-
us here. You know, it's not that you don't love God.
-
You do. But right now you're coasting and you're saying
-
to yourself, I've done that. It's time for the next
-
generation to take over, you know. And there's nothing wrong
-
with rest. Pray, strap for rest. I don't even leave
-
this place thinking you know, I'm so bad at us
-
to say, can all rest you again? No? No, no, not rest,
-
please rest. But I'm also about continuation. I'm also about legacy,
-
and yes, rest. But then now Jesus is saying that, hey,
-
would you come with me? And you can see in
-
Jesus is phrasing, you know, it's like, would you come
-
with me? And and and and and serve with me
-
all the way until you're old of age. Now you're young,
-
you're ready to go wherever. But will come a time
-
where you'll still serve me, and you'll you'll be older,
-
but you still serve me, and we will still have
-
an adventure. Because even the way he died glorified God.
-
I don't know about you, but you know I want,
-
by the grace of God, many moments in my life
-
to glorify God, you know, and and and My hope
-
is you know, maybe you know I I hope it's
-
not too more. But I noticed young children here. But
-
let's talk about death for a while there. Have you
-
talked about death? You know? Recently, you know, as supermarket,
-
somebody from a cemetery approached me. Have you thought about
-
death like all the time? Uh, and and I'm not
-
talking about writing a will. I'm not talking about preparing
-
your plots. Even those are wonderful things if the lot
-
leads you to do them, great. But I'm thinking about
-
how my death, what count? What would I leave behind?
-
What count? Name and legacy? What I now? Especially with
-
a newborn son, I'm thinking. You know, first of all, I,
-
me and that have a very dark sense of humor,
-
so we're always joking about like, no, you know we
-
have a child, so late in age, will I be
-
alive to see my child, you know, get married and
-
stuff like that. Uh and uh. But more than you
-
know seeing him get married and all that, I'm like,
-
what would I leave behind? You know, when when when
-
I die? Would my death glorify God? Woman? And I
-
don't mean like you know, I'm not like action movie.
-
I'm not talking about Samson, you know his death like
-
you know, he he killed the enemies of God as
-
he died. I'm not talking about the count action hero
-
movie moments. I'm talking about would I what would I
-
leave behind? Would I would I just leave behind money
-
or would I leave behind something of eternal value? You see,
-
money can come and go. Thank God for money. But
-
but there are things of eternal value like testimony. There
-
are things of eternal value like a good name, a
-
good family name, things of eternal value like like like salvation.
-
And I'm and I'm thinking these kind of things and
-
and and Jesus is inviting Peter to have a bigger imagination. Peter,
-
is this really all you can think of? Is this
-
really it? Or would you come with me for another journey?
-
And this is the heart of God, Amen, Because when
-
we think of missions, you know, it's not about set
-
out there for the select, feel God's designs for all
-
to be sent out there. Because the Apostle Paul builds
-
on this and it says that all of us are
-
involved because all of us were letters. Whether you like
-
it or not. You know, we are letters that will
-
be read by men, whether you like it or not.
-
And his reminder to the people is this that remember
-
that your letters being signed out there, and you're not
-
just letters of flesh and black. You're the ink over
-
your life is of the Holy Spirit. Amen. And that's
-
my encouragement for us again to awaken you know your faith.
-
And I believe that God wants us to remember again
-
that hey, He's got so much more in stall for
-
us that the missional call is not just for a
-
selag fuel. The missional call is for all of us,
-
and whether we realize it or not, all of us
-
make for amazing evangelists. Amazing evangelists. And whether you realize
-
it or not, this past week you have evangelized, some
-
of you have evangel but you haven't evangelized for Jesus
-
evangelized for a movie called The Fantastic Fall. And then
-
you go, like, you know, you go like you have
-
to watch law I give it fall out of Fall,
-
you know, like like you know you'll be a watch
-
that you know you share on your socials. And so
-
whether you realize on your evangelists but for a movie,
-
sound of us here we're evangelists for food. A man
-
and all the food they don't do apologize. It's not
-
a trick question. All the foody say Okay, I wanted
-
to hear a man so like we can fellowship after church,
-
you know, uh you know, and anyway, yeah, right someone
-
for food eats right, we would tell people, Hey, I'm
-
telling you I just found the best the best you
-
know sushi in you know, PJ. I just found the
-
best dumplings. You know, I found the bestest, the best,
-
and and we're evangelizing. We're telling people, hey, I've tasted
-
and seen it is good, but you didn't say the
-
Lord it's good. I taste that and seeing and the
-
one tin is good. I taste it and see it,
-
and the great thal is good. I taste it. You see,
-
So you see you can do it. You just need
-
to replace fantastic for with Jesus. Hey, you gotta go, liar,
-
you gotta go go where you know, go go watch
-
lie watch who, go watch Jesus, watch Jesus. I just
-
can't follow me to church. You know, you just gotta
-
go go. You must taste for yourself, you know, the
-
best and stuff in something as some Lasai the best
-
person you ever meet. He's my healer. You know. Sometimes
-
we'll say, you know that wanna the traditional Chinese meason good?
-
You know that one or the one of the character
-
that go to adjust your back. You know, how come
-
you never say, hey, that one my Jesus. One time
-
from him, my life is transformed. So I'm here to
-
be positive. I'm not talking down. I'm not making anyone
-
feel I'm saying that you're so close friends, so close
-
all of us we can't right and and and and
-
and the pause. Idea is this that all us, when
-
we go out there into the world. His hope is
-
that when people see us, they they see us as
-
letters of recommendation. They see us as as as postcards
-
of Heaven, of of who God is, of the goodness
-
of God. Amen, all of us here we we love
-
letters of recommendation. Right. Those of you who leave work
-
and then go to another job, you ask the boss, boss,
-
can you give me a good letter of recommendation? And
-
some know, I know here a lot of people are
-
very prospered in some of your bosses. You've written some
-
good letters of recommendation. Some you have written some very
-
pointed letters of recommended But you've you've written right, and
-
and and and we love it. Right. Okay, maybe I
-
would just change the terminology, right, because let the documination
-
something be like, hey, so that's this buster okayay, uh
-
user reviews, how about that customer reviews? However, was the
-
last time you you you you know you you you
-
bought some on some online website and then the first
-
thing you check is how many people give five stents?
-
And you read your to see which one of them
-
are actual humans are not robots, because we turn to
-
actually detail, you know, and sometimes we don't even read
-
the five stars because it's too good to be true.
-
You read the four Sunds because no four sounds like
-
you know, it's still overwhelming. It good, but you know
-
there's some one less time means that I'm honesty either
-
and you read through their lives, don't you, and the
-
possible as to say, my dear, go out there and
-
live a girly life and let people read you. And
-
even if you go like a poster or no, five
-
star Christians, it's okay because sometimes five star Christians people
-
don't believe you go out there and go like Hallelajah,
-
praise the Lord. People go like, so I go away,
-
go away, the Jesus free is coming, you know Jesus.
-
But then they go like him, you know it is
-
ever now. No, he's very cool. He's got red sox
-
on and his only insight you know, maybe you know
-
he's relevant. I'm gonna hear lot, you know, No, he's
-
not so holy five stars on five star that you know,
-
everything comes off of mouths, just scripture and psalms. No
-
but amen, you know, let me let me talk to
-
this four and a half star guy. Let me talk
-
to this you know, three and half star person. And
-
you know, and and and and and find out for
-
myself it's this Jesus really worth it? Amen, But and
-
and and of course you know, God's hope is that
-
we do that so that the world will know. But
-
how do we start doing that? Let's get into practical
-
a little bit. So the idea is sound, right, but
-
I'm not. Ideas don't change people. You're gonna actually do
-
it right, you know, in terms of you here. You know,
-
if you just have the idea of starting a business,
-
no business will happen. You gotta try. You're gonna step
-
out if the idea of serving that idea right, something
-
is here. You see that here you got a lot
-
of ideas, probably standing having ideas, you know, listening to
-
my appreciate having ideas. Right now, I think you can
-
do better than him. Praise God, Prince God, wonderful. You know.
-
I want you to do better than me. You know,
-
but just having an idea that you can do better
-
won't change anything. You gotta be like, okay, how can
-
I bring this idea? How can I, you know, make
-
this happen. And so I just got three simple just
-
you know, take on points that I hope will help
-
us to make this from an idea into a reality.
-
Or if I want to put more Christian words, I
-
want to help us not just to be hearers of
-
God's word, but to be doers. Amen. So my first
-
point is this, right, if the idea of God is
-
that we be sent out into the world, If the
-
idea of God is not for us to coast in
-
our blessing, coast in our ministry glory, but to come
-
out and to serve Him again and and and the
-
idea of God is that if you love him, you
-
should care for his people. Amen. So the idea of
-
God is that that that missions is. It's not an
-
option missions. It's logical. If you love me, you're gonna
-
care for my people. Know if you if it's the
-
same as as if somebody comes up to me and
-
go like present, if I love you, but I don't
-
like your baby, James love. Just so, I'm just not
-
a baby person. I'm just not a children person, you know.
-
I just I just you know, when children come to me,
-
I have an allergic reaction but I love hanging out
-
with you, I guess, so we're not gonna be hanging
-
out a lot. Not because I hate you, but because
-
you know, if you get me, you get my baby.
-
It's maybe okay, maybe someone's here. We don't have baby,
-
but you have not that baby, your wife, your significant other? Right,
-
and how many of you have been there before? Right?
-
And maybe this is my therapy or or someone you
-
look at me like what's wrong with him? You know
-
if we ever? Have you ever had people come up
-
to you and go like you know, or maybe like Jess.
-
You know, people come up to you and they go
-
like Jess, you're so kind and compressional. I tell you,
-
but don't tell an Okay, don't tell him. I like you,
-
but is so an insert you know, encouragement here? All right?
-
Maybe not? Maybe not because this is very very kind couple.
-
But I have I have I have people go up
-
to bass Ca and go like, Bassic just became you
-
and mire. I want you to know one that Basadava
-
last week's SERMONA I was very hurt. Okay, but I'm
-
telling you a because I feel like you can understand me,
-
and you know we will say this. We get it
-
off our chance. We think we're being clever, but it's
-
not very clever. It's not very logical because you know,
-
how can the spouse not get along? How can you
-
know how? It's the same as people go like I
-
believe in God by hate his church. It's like what
-
talking about? You know, church is where we encounter God.
-
Without the church, how do you come to know God?
-
You knew God because the church reached out to you.
-
The church had had Sunday School, the church had a program,
-
the church had you know, outreach like come on, man,
-
if it goes hand in hand and and and so
-
God is saying here, if you love me and love
-
my people, if you love me, say yes to missions.
-
We're going to that in a while. Don't don't be afraid. Okay,
-
I will not be making any auto call for for
-
China or India or or whichever country you fear the most.
-
Okay U or UK, you know, America, you know with
-
which you know. But but I just want to say
-
that God's this is God's idea, right. God's idea is
-
that you love him, love his people. God's idea is
-
that he wants to use us as letters. And so
-
let's go into obedience. Now, Amen, let's go into obedience mode.
-
Let's not just listen to word of God and and
-
and and and you know, get tickled by God ideas.
-
Let's get practical. So, if God's idea is that we've
-
been sent out, if God's idea is that we become
-
like postcards of Heaven, let us of recommendation, beautiful books
-
for people to read. Amen, for people to discover for themselves.
-
And it's so important for people discover for themselves because
-
no point, you know, you just tell you know, God
-
is God is schol People gotta see it for themselves.
-
Then the most important thing, or the first thing we
-
gotta start with it is point number one. Let God
-
have you before God can send you out, He needs
-
to have you first. How ma me know that you
-
can give what doesn't belong to you, That's called stealing.
-
If you come up to me and go like buster,
-
I just wan't bless your brand new, can't go honey Lujah,
-
praise the Lord some brand new? I don't know. I'm
-
not a cop person. What's that tesla? Is that still? Okay? Okay?
-
I don't want to drive, you know, not very okay?
-
And uh uh li'sten uh uh, let me panda to
-
the Chinese card jaku. And then you go like whoa
-
by in turns that it's not your car. And as
-
I go there and open the car door, some guy
-
come running after me. What you steal my car? Who?
-
I don't know? My friend give it to me and
-
my color? But you said you can't give out? What
-
does it belong to you? So God wants to send
-
you out. God wants to use us. But are we here?
-
Are we his? What do you mean by are we here?
-
Are we surrendered? Let us papers? You know, I'm made
-
out of papers or anything you can write on. So
-
would you give God space first and foremost before he writes?
-
Can you give him writing material? You know? Or if
-
you're into art, would you a canvas for God before
-
it turns you to come the next mona Lisa or
-
whatever it is you know, or even the picture that's
-
the screaming man. You know, before that you need to
-
give him material? You Would you let God have you?
-
Would you let him have your life? Would you let
-
him have your job? Would you let him have your children?
-
Would you let him have your future? Would you let
-
him have all of you? You see a lot of times.
-
We don't have an issue with letting God have us.
-
We just have an issue with him having all of us. God,
-
I don't mind some days, but you know the service
-
better enna by what the service and here eleven thirty
-
tell you you know, because we don't mind, you know,
-
God having us. But we we are very select two
-
hours only on Sunday morning. And if anything changes that,
-
if the speaker goes over time, I'm out there. If
-
the air cont stops working, I'm out there now. But
-
you say, God, I have I give you all of me,
-
some of us here. We don't mind you know, giving God,
-
you know, some serving here and there, uh, some some
-
giving here and there. But then the Lord is saying
-
that it's not your serving or even your money that
-
I want. I actually want your humility, I actually want
-
your ego. And some of us here we serve, we give,
-
But don't you dare tell me how to live my life.
-
And that's why every time you know, know whoever pastors
-
or leaders just doing their job, just lovingly telling you, hey,
-
it's disciples first get into this type of relationship you're
-
you're having, you know, it gets so triggered by it
-
because for you when you feel the disciple you do.
-
I just back Monday to Friday. I have a boss.
-
I don't need a boss over the weekend. In this household,
-
I am the boss. I don't need somebody, but we
-
need friends. We need And so when you say let
-
God have you, it's also you know, and guess what
-
God uses people. Sometimes you go like, God, I give
-
you all of me, and we expect, like Jesus to
-
beam down from heaven and go like, yes, my son,
-
my daughter, I will use you and then touch us.
-
And necessarily we download all ancient Hebrew and greet into
-
our into our systems like the matrix and that, and
-
you wake up, I know Hebrew, you know, like like no,
-
it's not no. God many times he wants you, but
-
he also uses his people to get to you. And
-
a lot of times we get triggered when it's God's
-
people you who are you? Who are you? You know,
-
I'm a ceo, you know, come to church and I
-
gotta submit to somebody who is not a ceo. Get
-
my face, you know, and we become very selective or sorry,
-
so I have very real talk. Okay, okay, That's why
-
I'm the guest speaker next week. You know, pass Elvin
-
can hug you and all that. I'm just I'm not
-
saying to do the damage. And then you know, go
-
out there, but but someone's no, so we we spres selective.
-
I don't even want to go to that church because
-
that's where all the businessmen are at because I can network.
-
I only go to that church because you know, it's
-
all with the passes, only positive and won't speak into
-
my life. Sorry, you're an extra if you're not here,
-
Passa Elven notices. If you're not here, you get a
-
text message lovingly, hey didn't see you last week? You okay?
-
You get so angry by that text message, not realizing
-
the other person is standing with fear and trembling. You
-
think the person wants to be hated. I'm not trying
-
to be busy body. I'm not trying to jugg out
-
kind to be around line and see my my bassa
-
like you know, Rusty, not like Passa Elvin. But you know,
-
I'm just like you know, I'm not trying to be extually,
-
not trying to be busy, but I'm just trying to love.
-
I'm just trying to and sometimes we go like God
-
I want to give you my all. It's gonna be
-
you only cut out the middle man. Guess what God
-
uses middle man call the church. God uses middle man
-
call you and me. And a lot of times we
-
come in and we we we and God is saying that, hey,
-
you're gifted, but your ego is getting in the way
-
and that's why, you know. And I'm saying this as
-
as a man who is getting older. I'm in my
-
forties now and my eyesight is first thing to go.
-
And I realized this sometimes, you know, the older we get,
-
the more know we all we think, and we come
-
to church and we don't even pay attention. We come
-
to church, you know, we're at the backseat and then
-
we're playing I don't know, golf, or watching TV or
-
playing some game, or surfing the news or watching more
-
important stuff like stop and no wonder our lives are
-
so damaged. No wonder, our lives are not changed. You
-
say it, But I go do church work. Yeah, but
-
what are you doing in church while you're there? Can
-
God have all of you? And I'm not, you know,
-
trying to make us do impossible things. But let's start small.
-
If you if you have, if you are obsessed with
-
your phone? Can you you know, okay, let me let
-
me meet you wear you're at okay, Okay. If I
-
say ELVI has issue of this, this is just me okay,
-
my suggestion, okay, my suggestion? Is this all right? If
-
you are curly only willing to give God two hours
-
of your time Sunday, that's it. Don't go to homes,
-
don't go to premitting. Hey, Jesus loves you. I love you.
-
This is church, welcome home. Then at least can you
-
make those two hours super quality? Can you at least
-
can you at least start that? Because God's not against
-
incremental change? You know no, God would celebrate your zero
-
point one increase zero point two increase. But but can
-
you give God zero point one more so? So, even
-
if two hours, can you say for the next two hours,
-
I will turn off my phone for the next two hours.
-
I am locked in because guess what we can do it.
-
Don't come up to me saying don't understand what ADHD
-
I's like. No, no, no, you watch a movie. You
-
can binge You know when when when Street Again come out?
-
You binge it all in one night. You're able to
-
focus with laser like precision. You can do it, but
-
would you do it for the Lord? Let God have
-
you friends? Can you give him full two hours? I
-
tell you, if you can do that, not only will
-
your spiritual life increase. If you're marry, your marriage will increase.
-
Certainly you'd be like, WHOA, your wife don't know this? Well?
-
My husband now, well, he pays attention low. He comes
-
back HOMEI looks me in the eye, talks to me
-
for next two hours, like, wow, I feel so loved.
-
I would have more children here, like you know, like
-
like you know, it's it's it's this count you see, God.
-
Whatever glorifies God, blesses us to God's not about. It's
-
not a zero sum gaming. A God's not saying that. Hey,
-
you and I know we sing this right, No, God
-
less on me more of you, right we sing that
-
that's right. But it doesn't. But when you have more
-
of God, you also have more blessing. You as have
-
more victory, You also have more joy, You also have
-
more breakthrough because when we have more of God, you're
-
having more of Heaven in your life. And so would
-
you let God have you friends? So if you're already
-
giving the Lord in all two hours and all that,
-
But would you say not, Holy Spirit, would you check
-
my life, you know, and help me discover my blind spots?
-
And if the Holy Spirit says nothing, go to the
-
passel of in because it's impossible that God will look
-
at us and go like say, man, if I have
-
nothing to improve, no nothing, no, right, only Jesus gets
-
this is my son who I'm well please, only Jesus
-
gets it. So if you ever pray and go like
-
you know, for the last two years I had, the
-
Lord never challenged me to to improve my life. And know, yeah,
-
you maybe need to pray with someone because maybe your
-
heart is being deceitful. And it's simple, simple rules and right,
-
simple rules. Right, guys, you understand it. Sometimes you go
-
to the toilet, We wash our hands, we do all
-
the right things. We clean after us. You know, we're
-
all very neat. But we come out and and no
-
far of our own, we still forget to pull out
-
our zipper. Turn your neighbors says, he has a point.
-
Just just follow through. It's gonna make sense in a while, right,
-
That's why we need we thank God for people other brothers, sisters, no, okay,
-
brothers not sisters, okay, brothers. The only sister is your wife.
-
You don't like, oh, your sibling, you know. Thank God
-
for for for close friends, you know who go up
-
to us and go like you know, who come close,
-
you know, not shut out from the other side of
-
the room, your sippers down, but to go up whisper
-
next to your ear, you know, and to almost like
-
body block us for you to like pull it up right.
-
Thank God for people like that, because the reality is
-
is we have blind spots. If stuff like going to
-
the toilet, which is biological to us spiritually, we will
-
have blind spots and we need the Holy Spirit. But
-
we also need godly people in our lives. You know.
-
That's so why when we say disciple, it's not to
-
restrict you, is to add value to your life. Get
-
involved in your homes, get some people around you, get
-
some saints around you. Get some godly counsel around you
-
to pray with you, to cry with you, to sit
-
with you, to also call you out when you are wrong.
-
And when they call you out, don't get offended because
-
God's using them to have more of you. Because God
-
wants to remove that temper. God wants to remove that pride.
-
God wants to remove that ego? Would you let him
-
do it? Amen? Point number two, I'm running out of time.
-
Let me choot you on. Let God write you, Let
-
him write. How do me know that you can't write
-
your own letter recommendation? That's called fraud, right, you can't
-
be like but just give me a letter hat Kennedy
-
and de signed it about them everything else Okay, I
-
can handle. I can handle. And then you go like,
-
you know, type everything out on worse nowadays people don't type.
-
They just go chet GBT. Can you come up with
-
the best, you know recommendation letter and it comes across like,
-
you know, like Donald Trump wrote that, and it goes like,
-
you know, it's great, it's a great person. You know anyway, Sorry,
-
the best is the best, you know. Let God write you. Now,
-
this is scary. Letting God have us is challenging, but
-
that's God's idea. And God invites you know that God,
-
you know, Jesus can do anything and and he graciously. Now,
-
the way I see Jesus's conversation Peter is not just
-
checking him three times and saying, hey, you do that
-
me three times? Are you you you really love me
-
or not? He's not he's not, you know, guilt tripping.
-
You know he's asking, He's asking sincerely three times? Peter,
-
You sure you sure? I can have you here? Jesus,
-
You're sure sure? Because I want to use you. But
-
what but the sound of stuff I have to write
-
might be painful from you? For example, I know a
-
perfect ending for your life, but you're not gonna like it,
-
but it's gonna glorify me. You'll be led to places
-
that you don't want to go, but it will be
-
the perfect ending for your life story. Peter, do you
-
love me? Are you sure she's surrendering God is one thing?
-
Letting him write is the next level surrender, because what
-
if God doesn't want to right blessing? You think God
-
can only use blessing two. I know it's called the
-
good News, But within the good News people die. You know,
-
within the good News people were persecuted. It's all that
-
in the Gospel, people die, people persecuted for truth. John
-
the Baptist die for the truth. You read the Book
-
of Acts, Stephen died for the truth. We want God
-
to use us, We want God to write, But are
-
you ready for what he's about to write? Would you
-
let him write? You and say God, new chapter. You
-
have the pen, and God write the ending that you
-
think is perfect for me. So I get real here
-
because in life we can pray for healing, but God's
-
will might be that you are not healed. And if
-
there's anyone here who's suffering from an ailmen, and you've
-
been so faithful, believing for healing, and yet your healing
-
still hasn't come. I'm here to tell you God doesn't
-
hate you. God's not trying to trick you, and God
-
hasn't abandoned you. But what if your pain, what if
-
your sickness is part of your story? But God, I
-
want a testimony of healing. But God is saying that.
-
But I have a better ending. Because if our lives
-
are just blessing, blessing, blessing, blessing, blessing, it doesn't make
-
us very relatable. Let me break it down using movie ideas. Okay,
-
all of us love watching an exciting movie. An exciting
-
movie has ups and downs. Right, if Superman only ever
-
had good things happen to him, there will be no movie.
-
Once upon a time, there was a boy who lived
-
in a beautiful planet, but the planet never got destroyed.
-
He was never sent to another world, forced to live
-
with people who are different than him. The end. There
-
was once a rich young man called Bruce Wayne who
-
lives in Gotham City. His family is so rich that
-
he had no leg Nothing ever bad happened to them,
-
No accident happened to them. His parents live into a
-
full old age, and then they died and he inherited
-
their business. He became a successful businessman. The end. No badman,
-
no superman. Do you know that in the Bible, the
-
most blessed man was Jesus. And do you know that
-
even Jesus had his persecution, had his ups and downs,
-
He's the most blessed, you know. And so for some
-
of us here we gonna let God write us, because
-
we are even overrighte or our idea of blessing, or
-
our idea of what it means to be used by God. God,
-
only if I'm healed, you can use me, because my
-
healing can be a testimony. But God says, but what
-
if your sickness can be his own testimony? What if
-
the testimony I want to write, What if the story
-
are going to write is not one of healing but
-
one of faithfulness? Because one day in heaven. We will
-
all be healed, the robber says, we will all be
-
made whole. It'll be You'll be so ridiculous that our
-
brains can't even fanthom. But I just need you to persevere.
-
How many of us you know have been in high
-
school before? And when you're in high school it feels
-
like forever forever, right, And you're in high school going
-
ah on from one maybe you know, I don't know
-
what you know private school comes nowadays, is you know,
-
year whatever? But you know my time from one? You
-
know I've been there before. Don't raise your hand. You're
-
fum through and you're still single, and you think you're
-
the biggest los in the world. Fun loves you. I'm ugly,
-
and then your youth leader, your parents go, you're just
-
from through. You don't understand. I'm still sick. My friend
-
fifteen and al really has two girl friends like and
-
and and Don't get me wrong, I've been in high
-
school before. Feels long, right, Amen, someone saying yeah, it
-
feels long. SPM felt long right. It's like this impending
-
examder's coming revision again. I can't do ad math anymore.
-
Oh by all from four felt long from five felt long,
-
but now you look bad. You go like, oh, I
-
wish I enjoyed it a bit more. Oh you know,
-
And then you know and and and then the cycle
-
continues because you go up to you know, Natalie and
-
Church are girl and thing we're doing is say, Victory
-
Academy is so tough, tough, and then he be typic cringe.
-
And then and then you go like A, I don't
-
know why. I wonder what Jesus is looking at our
-
lifetime because we're gonna spend eternity with him forever and ever,
-
you know, beyond time and space, eternity that's gonna make
-
our time on earth like high school long but also
-
shot in the greatest scheme of things. But the six
-
years of my life, you know, I was thinkinger long
-
but shot in the grand scheme of things. But's so
-
easy for you to say, I'm out of high school
-
and I'm still single. But what if I'm not condemning you,
-
But what if the story that God is writing for
-
your life is called singlehood? Sow you are like, I
-
reject that in Jesus name, I cast it out, I
-
buining it, I break it, I break you, you know.
-
But hear me out. Hear me out. The most blessed
-
man in the Bible. It's not joke. The most blessed man,
-
Jesus was single. One of the most anointed theologians Postle
-
Paul greatly believe to be single. Singleness is not a
-
curse because Jesus wasn't cursed, right, don't say that, y'are Jesus.
-
You were single, so I don't have to be single. No, no,
-
don't you know, because we get into all that he
-
die so that I can live. You're single so I
-
can be No, no, no, no, no, okay, wrong theology. Okay,
-
you know now it's not just the prosperity gospels, the
-
relationship gospel people have. You know, No, you'll be hooked,
-
you'll be hoo, all of you will have a spouse. No, no, no,
-
that's all probably free. No, you're gonna what if what if?
-
I'm not saying that that is a case, but what
-
if or what if it was just that few chapters?
-
Are you gonna fight the writer and what we end
-
up having? You know, you know, that's that's not our life.
-
When people read it, there's there's no testimony because it's
-
all ugly squiggly lines. You know, have you if you
-
try to write something and then somebody comes and then
-
slaps the you know that the panel way and it
-
becomes and God's right there, you know. And then in
-
the singleness he found me. He's discovered the greater treasure.
-
And then but then we kept like just stop, stop,
-
stop it, and then it becomes more and more schooling,
-
more and more unreadable. And then we go into the world.
-
And that's why people when they read our lives, it's unreadable.
-
He doesn't point to Jesus right, what if? What if? Right?
-
Because we serve God, who doesn't promise to bless us NonStop.
-
He promises to be with us always. And greater is
-
the blessing to to to be single and half God,
-
then to be married and far away from God. So
-
was I'm married, But then that marriage has brought us
-
away from God, away from our testimony. You used to
-
be so known to reaching souls. Now you married the
-
wrong person who doesn't believe what you believe, and then
-
now no souls are reached. You used to reach fifty
-
souls in a what place. Now you're desperately trying to
-
reach one soul. Call your husband that's not hurting again,
-
thought about but I'm just being real. Do you see
-
the downgrade? But but you love God right, A love
-
God to write just I'm running out of time. They
-
just flashed me and I got negative five minutes. Like
-
singleness is not a curse. Sickness is not a curse.
-
Let God write your sickness, your singers. Whatever set back
-
you believe, your your your your unemployment, that that could be.
-
You know, when you go through stuff, you're you're different
-
when you go through you know, when when can I
-
first went over there, it was tough. Two missionaries living
-
one of the most expensive places to live on single
-
income is tough. We used to, you know, serve the day,
-
serve the Lord the whole day, and then at night
-
you all do some grocery shopping and then we're to
-
shop at the reduced out that it's about to you know,
-
it's you know, back over that they had the you
-
know best before and use by. So if it's after
-
the best before, it's cheaper because you can still use it.
-
And we used to shop just to save mine because
-
that's all that we have. We used to you know
-
before James's whole hands and instead the one little top
-
of tear MISU wondering can we spend another one pound
-
ninety five because we just don't have the budget. But
-
it's been such a long day. We would love to
-
have a little treat, and and and and God didn't
-
immediately the next day drop bags of money. And my
-
friend Dawn never passicare and to go through three years
-
of unemployment before the Lord open a door for her.
-
When she finally surrendered God that you will be done,
-
then the law begin to move. But now that three
-
years of unemployment, the years of I don't want to
-
say living in poverty, but living with a need. Now
-
allows us to speak a language to people who are
-
going through the same thing. Now when they when I
-
meet other people are going to sit, they're going through unemployment,
-
going through you know, financial hardship. When I speak to
-
your life, there is a lingo that I speak there
-
other people who haven't gone through can't speak. When you're
-
sick and still be faithful, still believing God for healing,
-
there is a language of love and tenderness and grace
-
that you can speak. It's like a language. People can't
-
believe the gospel if it's not in the language that
-
they understand. And sometimes that language is called pain, that
-
language is called loneliness. The language is called abandonment. And
-
the lawd is allow you to go through it so
-
that you can speak it and be a blessing. Right.
-
Let God have you, Let God write you point number three.
-
Let God send you letters are meant to be sent.
-
Doesn't matter if you have the best, the best letter
-
of recommendation. It can come from you know, whichever leader,
-
corporate leader of your you know choice. But if you
-
just you know, have it and frame it on your
-
wall and hang it there, there's no power and says
-
some personal encouragement. And wonder God is wondering. Am I
-
Christians just living for personal encouragement? Or are they being
-
sent out? You see you I I you know. Let's say,
-
you know, uh, let's say when Billy Graham was still alife,
-
he met Paster Elvin and then wrote a great letter
-
of recommendation. I Billy Graham fully endorsed this young man.
-
You know, when I talk to him, he smells of
-
the Gospel. He's wrot to be the next best thing
-
and the next big thing for the Kingdom of the Lord.
-
He will impact Asia in the name of Jesus and
-
then signed Billy Graham. Wow, but do you know that
-
if if you no passe Elvin just looks at that
-
and then you know, you know, just just kind of
-
like buries it. There's nothing. But if he hypothetically, if
-
he sends out, the people will be like, whoa what
-
Billy Graham said this he I'm a Christian businessman. Now
-
I this endorsement. I accept. Let me fund your ministry.
-
You know XPJ. You want to buy the whole PJ.
-
Come on, let's do it, you know, like right, So
-
unless you're sent out, A postcard is nothing. Unless you're
-
sent out, then the people who are not there will
-
go like, wow, you thought about me when you were there.
-
You know wow, you know you you you wrote, and
-
so would you God to send you out very quickly. Now.
-
God will sometimes call us for overseas missions, Go for it.
-
God will sometimes call us for local missions. Please go
-
for it. When it comes to missions, can I just
-
help solve You don't need to prayer about it, just
-
go just go. Okay. The one Christian thing you can
-
do with that prayer is should I go for missions? Go?
-
Go local missions, go local community? I wish go God
-
is calling me to shot the missions. You know, go
-
just just go for the gospel, okay. But Sun's going
-
It's not about crossing oceans. Sun's going is just go
-
in and talk to your neighbor because the greatest command
-
is to love God with all your heart, soul and mind,
-
and to love your neighbor as yourself. Funny story, yesterday
-
I spoke with my neighbor for the very first time.
-
I moved into my condors since twenty twelve, but we've
-
been away doing the last work. My neighbor moving in
-
twenty seventeen next to us. Only yesterday. By the whosi
-
we go talk to them, you got to know that
-
their names are Simon and Huai, And I'm like, oh
-
nice you meet you and stuff for that. Sometimes it
-
starts there, you know, before you start doing missions missions,
-
why do you get to know your neighbor? First? Bag
-
them a cake, start a WhatsApp group with them. If
-
the house is on fire, call the police, like like,
-
you know, can you start small and but but be
-
willing to be sent out, be willing to step out
-
of the comfort zone. Some of us here our houses
-
or castles or fortress, we never want to step out
-
we have a cliquish friend group that that's all we
-
want to hang out, but no step out and meet
-
people who are different than you. When you come to
-
church next week, can you go out your way to
-
pray with somebody you never prayed before. That's mission. You know,
-
they can stop missions in church yourself by just going
-
to the back out. You know, you can talk to
-
you can bring a new comer out for lunch or
-
just whoever is. Just just be a friendly face. Just
-
just leave your comfort zone and the friends that you
-
always fellowship with and go there and talk to someone,
-
pray with them, offer to get to know them, and
-
if there is a need in their lives, by the
-
grace of God, and do your part to serve them
-
and to meet it. And that's missions right there. Friends. Missions,
-
It's as easy as getting to know your neighbor. Missions.
-
It's as radical as crossing the ocean. Some human be thinking,
-
I said, I don't have a heart. Lit, I don't
-
have a heart. Maybe you need to ask God to
-
revive your heart. So can encourage you. This is how
-
you can have a heart. Was encouraging us, you know,
-
say nose, pray and say good things about Malaysia. Some
-
of us really struggle. But you know how God can
-
heal you and how God can restart this missional heart
-
of yours. Just take a drive out of salangor just
-
just the next holiday. Don't go to Osaka. The missionaries
-
that already blessed, they don't need more Milo. The next holiday,
-
go to typing word typing, and don't let the people
-
from typing. Hi there. But but you know, sometimes you
-
need to go to the East coast some some words
-
militias have never been to Saa. Why do you don't
-
take up? Don't drive the can't drive there, take a
-
flight there, Go to go to Bintulu, go to see
-
the wood is there, and just go and meet the
-
people there. Do you know I'm not you know, I'm
-
now serving the law in the UK. But I used
-
to serve in the campus ministry. But just a couple
-
of weeks ago I was invited back to speak at
-
the Taylors College Chapel. I went there and man, being
-
just being near the students, just smelling them, not in
-
a weird way, just you know, just really like I'm like,
-
oh this. I couldn't wait to tell Puss Steven there's
-
so many of them. We're gonna go and get them.
-
This just just just being in among them. My heart
-
beats for them. I can I can't. I want them
-
to hear the gospel. I cannot. Maybe he needs Maybe
-
you need to take a drive to the East Coast
-
for you to be among people groups and to go
-
like God. They cannot live without you. I'm too comfortable
-
in myselburb. I'm too comfortable in my getting community, you know.
-
And we're gonna do that. You gotta be sent out.
-
If you have a heart for PJ. Take a driver
-
round PJ. But don't go to the usual places. Go
-
drive around. Pray as you drive, and then you're gonna
-
be like God. You drive past some housing areas, you
-
drive past some places of waship, and Emilly go like
-
you know, drive past some hospitals, and Emily go like God.
-
I can't. I can't. I can't live a life where
-
I do nothing as thousands and hundreds and thousands of
-
people are going taking one step closer to eternity without you.
-
Let God, and you don't let wait until God kicks
-
you out, or wait until God gives you a calling.
-
God can do that, but you can also initiate that seriously,
-
you know, I hope you catch my heart, and and
-
that I hope you catch God's heart. Let's pray thank
-
you Lord, Lord, your heart is for people. Lord, forgive us. Lord,
-
when we've become too comfortable living in our air condition
-
high rise buildings. We know some of us. We have
-
servants upon servants, we have cars upon cars, and you've
-
blessed us to be so so good to us. But Lord,
-
we say, Lord, your word never asks us to rest
-
on our blessing. And just how you call Peter out, Lord,
-
would you call us out again? Just as how you
-
invited Jesus and you asked him if if you could
-
have all of him? Lord, I pray that right now
-
you would do that same loving invite and wake up
-
call to everyone who's hearing your voice. Right now, Lord,
-
we want to give you all of us, not just some,
-
but all of us again, maybe for someone else, is
-
all of us again, because at one time you did.
-
But along the way you took back your own life.
-
By God, I said, would you allow me to have
-
all of you again? Would you allow me to write
-
and overwrite some of your own ideas? And as he
-
overwrites He's also overwriting your own idea of a future.
-
He overwrites, it makes it a better one, a more
-
impactful one, a more glorious one. It might not be
-
a richer one, it might not be a safer one,
-
but it will be glorious. It will have etertal value.
-
The Lord, help us, Lord to be sent out, Help
-
us Lord that some people hear. Lord, help us to
-
just knock next door and say sorry to our neighbor. Neighbor,
-
I'm so sorry. I live next to you all this one,
-
but I never bothered to get to know you. I'm
-
so sorry. But my name is so and so let's
-
be friends. Let's get connected. Let let let's get to
-
know each other. Do you know by doing that you're
-
honoring God because you're loving your neighbor. Some of us
-
not help us to be sent out to see where
-
we are working, not as a death camp, not as
-
a place of burden and curse. Some of us here
-
were praying God, get me a new job. But maybe
-
the question we're gonna ask out God, are you done
-
with me here yet? Did I finish? Did I pass
-
your assignment? And the Lord says two more years, which
-
you stay two more years by it's two more years
-
with louse, it paid two more years with no promotion,
-
two more years for the Lord for his glory, two
-
more years so that two more souls can come to
-
know him. Lord, would you allow us to be sent out? Law?
-
Send out law, Lord, the next holiday some of us
-
here take as a family. Let it not just be
-
a holiday, but let it be a holiday slash mission trip. Lord,
-
as to travel. Lord, let it be a place where
-
we can rest in You, but also where a place
-
where our hearts can beat again for the loss, be
-
desperate again, for the loss, can hurt again for the lost.
-
Help us. Lord. The enemy wants to numbers. But right now,
-
in the name of Jesus, live again. In the name
-
of Jesus' hearts of stone beat again, and Jesus name,
-
we pray, Amen, Amen. Before I close to their service.
-
I just you don't want to give people here an opportunity.
-
Maybe you see it here and maybe you don't know Jesus,
-
or maybe you knew him at one time or the other.
-
But I'm here. I want you to know. Friends. Christiananity,
-
it's not about having good morals. Christianity is not about
-
you know, It's not a Western idea, it's God's idea.
-
Christianity is simply this. As human beings, we are too lost,
-
too messed up, too dirty to save ourselves. Despite what
-
we might think of our own abilities, we cannot save ourselves.
-
We are like little toddlers who have made a mess
-
in our diapers, trying to change our own diapers, yet
-
not having full mortal skills. And what we can do
-
is not have a change. But it said, we end
-
up spreading the mess. And that's the history of humanity.
-
Messed up people spreading the mess all over the world.
-
But God, seeing that didn't didn't destroy us to start
-
a new project. No, he entered into this broken world
-
and he says that I can fix it, and only
-
I can fix it. And like a young child who's
-
messed himself, we can't change our own diapers. The best
-
most efficient thing to do is to grow up to
-
the Father and says, Father changed me. I've made a mess,
-
and only he can wipe us clean. Only he can
-
change our lives around it. That's what Christianity is. God's
-
so loved the world even though it was broken, even
-
though the world hated him, but God still loved it.
-
Loved it so much, he said his perfect son Jesus
-
to come into this world to rescue all of his
-
wayward children, the one perfect son, to redeem all the
-
wayward children, so that whoever who believes in Jesus will
-
not perish but receive eternal life. Eternal life. We one
-
day we will enter into the presence of God for
-
all eternity, where there's.
-
Normal pain, normal sorrow, normal tears, normal sickness, normal disease,
-
normal marriage, even because what we will have is a
-
greater relationship and greater glory than what we have than
-
nothing we've ever seen on planet Earth.
-
That is all great reward in Jesus and with Jesus. So, friends,
-
if you're here invited by someone, or maybe you've been
-
found away by you, decide to come back. Today is
-
a great day to come home. The first thing you
-
gotta do is admit that you need help. God. I
-
need you. I tried fixing, but I keep falling back
-
into the same cycle again. Break that cycle. I need you, Lord,
-
and believe in Jesus. Would you say, Jesus, I believe
-
in you. You are my Lord, You are my savior.
-
Savior means that only you can save me, Jesus, please
-
save me, Save me from myself, save me from myself
-
destructive way, save me not. And then after you believe,
-
after you've been saved, the Bible advites us to commit
-
our lives because God says that, hey, now that I've
-
saved you, now that you've been revived, now that you've
-
being reconciled, can we enter into a committed partnership to
-
reach the world. And that's what you need. That's what
-
church is. It's people walking committedly with God to reach
-
the world. That's why every Christian is called to walking
-
committedly with God to reach the world. So, friends, if
-
that's you and today you'll like to give your life
-
to Jesus, I want to invite you to pray together
-
with me. He say. Okay, nobody looking around, but I
-
want you to pray together with me. If it helps,
-
you can lift up your hands. But I need you
-
to believe with sincerity of your hearts. And so due
-
to time, I'm not gonna ask to respond and the
-
count through anything like that, but I'm gonna invite you
-
to pray together with me. He said. Okay, you said,
-
I'm not your Christian, but today I want Jesus in
-
my life. I need him in my heart. I need
-
him to fix the mess I am. I need him,
-
I need him, I need him. Good news. Jesus loves you,
-
he wants you. So let's pray. Say, Dear Lord Jesus,
-
thank you for your love. Thank you for your love.
-
Thank you for your love for me, and for dying
-
on the cross. Please forgive me on my sins. Please
-
forgive me. Please wash me clean by your precious blood,
-
By your precious blood, and come and live in my heart.
-
Come and live in my heart. Feel me your Holy
-
Spirit and teach me your way. I now live to
-
worship you and please you in Jesus name Jesus. Amen, Amen, Amen,
