  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Look nineteen, he says. Here, then Jesus entered and passed

  4. through Jerry Cole. Now, behold, there was a man named

  5. Zachias who was a chief text collector, and he was rich,

  6. and he sought to see who Jesus was, but could

  7. not because of the crowd, for he was of short satchure. Okay,

  8. the Bible is quite quite descriptive flaer Okay. Basically it's short. Okay,

  9. he's short. Okay. Imagine you want to go to see Jesus, right,

  10. everybody is there, and then he's like, he's too short

  11. to see Jesus. So in the end, what happened? So

  12. he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree

  13. to see him, for he was going to pass that way. Yes,

  14. you're wearing the same shirt that looks so good. The shit,

  15. And when Jesus came, it's okay, we love kids here,

  16. so it's fine, Okay, this is why we have family Sunday.

  17. So if you're not comfortable with kids, I'm so sorry

  18. for you because they are going to be with us. Okay,

  19. And it's trying. Okay, cool, where was I Yeah, So

  20. when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and

  21. saw him and said to him, Zakiars, make hayste and

  22. come down, for today I must stay at your house.

  23. So he made hayes and came down and received him joyfully.

  24. But when they saw it, they all complaint, saying he

  25. has gone to be a guest with a man who

  26. is a sinner. Then Zakiers stood and said to the Lord. Look, Lord,

  27. I give half of my goods to the poor. And

  28. if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation,

  29. I restore four fall. And Jesus said to him, today's

  30. salvation has come to this house because he also is

  31. a son of Ibraham. For the son of Man has

  32. come to seek and to save that which was lost. Okay,

  33. we can learn a lot from this passage of scripture.

  34. You know, it's not just a story, It really happened.

  35. As believers, we believe that the Bible is a historical text. Right,

  36. it's not just a history book, but it is a

  37. The way it was written is for us to learn

  38. your catch that it was written. And I know some

  39. will say, oh I know it's written as a love letter.

  40. I mean, it's very poetic to say that, but basically

  41. it's written so that we understand who this guy named

  42. Christ is, we understand how he thinks, and we, as

  43. follows of Christ, should follow him. Correct. I'm establishing something

  44. really clear here, right, So it's not just a rule book.

  45. It's not just a nice story. You know, sometimes you

  46. can read like Bible story be cose not related to us,

  47. because we don't know what sycamore tree is. We don't

  48. know what text collector is, you know, yeah, I know,

  49. but but there's no text collectors here, Elija. Right, thanks

  50. so much for responding to me. At least I know

  51. someone's listening to the message. Yeah, we don't know all that,

  52. and sometimes it's very difficult to imagine, but I want

  53. to bring it to more local contexts, more our context

  54. Imagine someone you really don't like. Okay, I've got some examples.

  55. I don't want to use it here. Okay, not so nice, Okay,

  56. but imagine you yourself. Imagine someone you don't like, someone

  57. you really don't like, and and you have good, good

  58. reason to not like the person because the person's not

  59. a nice person. Maybe the person cheated you. Maybe the

  60. person say borrow money but never return. This kind of person, Okay,

  61. think about this kind of person and not just that.

  62. Now this person very in Cantonese, you say, very young,

  63. so cannot see you on the face? Short, right, short?

  64. Don't like, not handsome at least handsome. Are you know,

  65. still your money or saw you're like, Okay, it's okay,

  66. I forgive you right, you know, but but but no,

  67. this person is short, probably not very you know, you

  68. know somethings they say, I know, they say, you know,

  69. big things come in small packages. But if you're a

  70. man and you're short most of the time, thank god,

  71. no one here is short. Okay, if you're short, please

  72. don't raise your hands. We do also know that sometimes

  73. you will compensate with other things that by bigger car,

  74. by a bigger house, So you compensate lot. Okay, compensate. Ah,

  75. think of this person, this person that you really don't like,

  76. and not just you don't like. Everybody else don't like

  77. and everybody knows what the person does. The person's a scammer.

  78. Maybe use the word scammer or now the last scammer.

  79. I just saw a Facebook about how some I don't

  80. know from where on this group they were. They save

  81. this lady who was scam Unfortunately, you know a lot

  82. of people now get scamed because our job right, So

  83. please be carefuler, Please check the sauces. Please don't just

  84. go and believe just because if it okay, Guys, can

  85. I teach you something? Can I cannot? Can I teach

  86. you something? Okay? If it's too good to be true

  87. most of the time, if not all the time, it is,

  88. y're your godad if it's too good to be true.

  89. Especially Christians, though, you know why I worry for you

  90. because when good things have a Christian now we emiliately say, oh,

  91. thank the Lord, my God Almighty for this wonderful providence. Right,

  92. and then after that they gain in trouble and then

  93. they start asking God, God, why you put me in

  94. this situation. Then I want to use cantonese, but I

  95. think my wife will call me. You bring to yourself

  96. and this kind of problem. Okay, So think of this person, scammer,

  97. shot bad whatever, you don't like one, nobody likes the

  98. boy is he here? Like? Yeah, this fellow is here?

  99. Huh why is he here? Why is he in this party?

  100. And then Jesus looks at this person who's a scammer,

  101. who cheated everybody's money, who nobody likes, and he says,

  102. come down, I must eat at your house today. How

  103. you feel. Let's bring some context. If passed Elvin, Jesus

  104. look pass it away and says, of course you're except

  105. my because I passed my right. So Jesus be friendly

  106. me right, No, not me? You are not the religious

  107. leaders were not you all? How many leaders? You're right?

  108. Jesus didn't look at you all. He look at this

  109. camera guy that you don't like, that cheaty of your money,

  110. and he say, Jesus said he must eat in his house,

  111. not even your house. Of course his house is much

  112. in cellar, tax collector and low money on. What will

  113. you say? Wouldn't we look and say, ah, yeah, Jesus,

  114. he's a sinner. How can you associate yourself with him?

  115. Let's let's being closer, passa alvin. This person's a sinner.

  116. How can you associate yourself with him? Let's change it

  117. a little bit. Now, look at your neighbor. Tell your

  118. neighbor he's a siner. How can you go to his

  119. house and seleby his birthday. Look at the other neighbor.

  120. How can you still be so nice to him? He

  121. cheater you your money? Am I striking a card this morning?

  122. And then immediately everybody talking ma, So the Camra suddenly

  123. say hey, hey, hello guys. You know what I'm gonna

  124. turn over new leave whatever I cheated, I will return

  125. back all the money, whatever I did, I will. You

  126. know how many of you will go show bo say nila,

  127. no realan la you reraising many times they did? You already

  128. repent many times a day? Right, we forgive you so

  129. many times a D seven times a D seven times

  130. seven times a D. We forgive you. That's right, And

  131. ask your ture guys, But what Jesus say today? Salvation

  132. has come to this house because he is also a

  133. son of Abraham. You know why Jesus said that. Jesus

  134. had to read behind them that this guy is your brother.

  135. He's not gi gentle, he's not a Samaritan. He is

  136. your brother. He's also a son of Abraham. And then

  137. Jesus explains why he goes to his house to eat,

  138. because he says, for the son of man has come

  139. to seek and to say that which was lost? Can

  140. I give you a statement that might shop you this morning, Cannona,

  141. Jesus said He's come to sick and save the lost. Friends.

  142. Can I ask you a simple question? Are you lost

  143. this morning? Are you lost this morning? Or have you

  144. found Christ? Think about it a little bit. Is he

  145. a true question? For Slavin? We're all lost, right, we

  146. all need Jesus. Yes, but Jesus didn't go, and he

  147. didn't go to his disciples house, not to it. Only

  148. you know he goes, and not just that. Now there's

  149. not just one occurrence. The religious leaders really don't like

  150. him because he always go hang out with the sinners.

  151. He didn't hang out with the officials, He didn't hang

  152. out with all the important people. He hang out. He

  153. hang out with the sick, the sinners, the people that

  154. nobody want to hang out with. Jesus went and hang

  155. out with them. Let me give you another thought. Do

  156. you know why Jesus didn't have to go hang out

  157. with his disciples because his disciples were ready with him.

  158. His disciples were already there with him, always with him,

  159. walking with him, serving, making sure the crowd will touch him,

  160. keeping the money going to vibraid, and then Jesus give

  161. them problem like, Hey, let's treet five thousand people. Huh,

  162. no budget, I only God, and then I go and

  163. take a kid's lunch, five roose, two fish, the disciples

  164. who are already their friends? Are you disciples of Christ this morning?

  165. If you are, then shouldn't you be working with Christ

  166. every single day? Do you still need to be handheld

  167. on certain things? Do you still need it? Are we

  168. still lost or have we been found? First question, we

  169. got a thing about it, because if we are believers

  170. for a long time, then we should be mature ready,

  171. then we should be not Jesus. Why you never come

  172. to my house while you go to this text like

  173. this house, come to my house? Are Jesus? You know?

  174. A person that says that, probably not walking in Jesus.

  175. Your cash din. A person who worries more about that,

  176. probably is not walking with Jesus. Because people that are

  177. walking in Jesus don't need Jesus come to their house.

  178. Cost there with Jesus all the time, your cash that sorry,

  179. Let me address that first. Let me address us here first.

  180. So are we do we only meet Jesus on a

  181. Sunday or are we walking with Jesus every day? Think

  182. about it? Think about it, because if you're not careful,

  183. Jesus will only become a Sunday thing in our lives.

  184. And that's why, that's why we get angry when Jesus

  185. go and meet other people. We get angry when Jeus going. No,

  186. it's Christ in your life all the time. If he

  187. already is and you're already safe, then what should be

  188. our focused friends? Let's read, or more like, I will

  189. read and then your listener. Okay, I believe my storytelling

  190. voice is not too bad. I'm going to read this story. Okay,

  191. I'll try my best. On a dangerous sea coast where

  192. shipwrecks often occurred, there was once a crude, little life

  193. saving station. The building was just a heart, and there

  194. was only one boat. But the few devoted members kept

  195. a constant watch over the sea, and we've no thought

  196. of themselves, went out day and night tirelessly searching for

  197. the loss. Many lives were saved by this wonderful little station,

  198. so that it became famous. Some of those who were saved,

  199. and various others in the surrounding area wanted to become

  200. associated with the station and give off their time and

  201. money and effort for the support of his work. Makes sense, right,

  202. make sense right. They're doing their best. You know, they

  203. did what they knew, and other people that were saved

  204. by them naturally want to help. New boats were bought,

  205. a new crewise train. The little life Saving Station grew.

  206. Some of the members of the Life Saving Station were

  207. unhappy with the building that was so crude and poorly equipped.

  208. They felt that a more comfortable place should be provided

  209. as the first refuge of those say from the seat

  210. sounds very correct, right, sounds sounds nice.

  211. Right?

  212. No, ma, how can you how can you say? People

  213. in this hard You know it is so dirty and

  214. so much bacteria. We should we should renovate this. Let's

  215. pull some money to renovate this race. So they replaced

  216. the emergency the emergency costs with bits and put better

  217. furniture in the enlarged building. Passe Alvin. If we want

  218. people to come to XPJ, we want to make it

  219. a look nicer. Right, Let's get comfortable seats because the

  220. seats were hot. Let's invest in more lighting and maybe

  221. instead of a projector that's like that, let's put a

  222. led screen. Ah, just got Alis three happening. You know

  223. how much elis three? It costs not very expensive. Now,

  224. the live saving station became a popular gathering place for

  225. its members, so popular. Everybody know about XPJ. Everybody know.

  226. Everybody know XPJS in Gion, Oh church and the theater.

  227. So happening. And they decorated it beautifully and furnished it exquisitely.

  228. Because they used it as a sort of a club,

  229. fewer members were now interested in going to see on

  230. life saving stations. I get the full time workers to

  231. do it. Hey, Henry, you've got heart formations right, come,

  232. I support. You are very busy, but you want to go.

  233. You gola. You got God's call for your life, man,

  234. You Gola. So they hired lifeboard crews to do this work.

  235. The live saving motive was still prevailing. The club secreated

  236. mass must say, guys, Jesus here to save the lost man.

  237. So we must make sure it's in our logo. You

  238. must make sure it's in our tech line. You must

  239. make sure it is all these things, must wear shirt.

  240. It was okay, save people. And there was a liturgical

  241. lifeboard in the room where the club in nations were helped.

  242. Shouldn't we do that right? I don't know whether EXPG

  243. got any liturgical stuff or not. This place lie is

  244. still liturgical to us. About this time, a large ship

  245. was wrecked off the coast, and the higher crews brought

  246. in boatloads of cold, wet and half round people. They

  247. were dirty and sick, and some of them had black

  248. skin and some had yellow skin. The beautiful new club

  249. was in chaos. Oh my goodness. So the property committee

  250. or property committee immediately had a shower house built outside

  251. the club where victims of shipwreck could be cleaned up

  252. before coming inside. After the next meeting, bought meeting, there

  253. was a split in the club membership. Most of the

  254. members wanted to stop the clubs living saving activities as

  255. being unpleasant and the hindance to the normal social life

  256. of the club. Why want to go missions missions all

  257. the time? Right? We should fellowship in homes, you know,

  258. homes very good, not outreach. Ma, Let's outreach by doing enrichment.

  259. Let's continue to do that because we all feel good.

  260. Some members insisted about life saving as their primary purpose

  261. and pointed out they were still called life saving stations

  262. and friends, remember what Jesus said, must go and seek disciples.

  263. So we have different here. There are read passional, re

  264. passionate about you know, evangelizing, red passionate, about missions, red passionate. Come, guys,

  265. we need to do it, We need to do it.

  266. But they were finally voted down and told if they

  267. wanted to save the lives of all the various kinds

  268. of people who were shipwrecked in those waters, they could

  269. begin their own life saving station down the course, and

  270. they did, all of a ud where busy La got

  271. so much problem said, life is so hard, right, I've

  272. got to think I have my family. Not wrong, guys,

  273. not wrong. As the years went by, the new station

  274. experienced the same changes that had occurred in the world.

  275. History repeats itself. It evolved into a club, and yet

  276. another life saving station is found that you will definitely

  277. have people who are who sit passion on. History continued

  278. to repeat itself, and if you visit that sea coast today,

  279. you will find a number of exclusive clubs along that shore.

  280. Shipwrecks are frequent in those waters, but unfortunately most people drown.

  281. Of course, this is just a story, and I think

  282. by now you roughly know that it sounds like church, right,

  283. at least certain things in church. We read this story

  284. In homes, my homes, we had homes. So our homes.

  285. Just share a little bit about homes. I from, Hi,

  286. my name is Elen King. I' from PJ eight homes

  287. very far, very far. And we multiplied out of PJ three, right, okay,

  288. PJ three we multiplied out of it, and we multiplied

  289. out because we wanted to reach campus students, so we

  290. we went out. Was I comfortable in the whole homes? Yes,

  291. I was very comfortable. Every day get to it. No,

  292. not every day, Okay, every Friday, can do it. Vonica's

  293. cooking so nice? Then pasta ma, so just go, Nima,

  294. don't have to do anything on once in a whe

  295. appreciate me. You know, everyone doing everything course ready established it.

  296. But last year I don't know why, well, I don't

  297. know why. God God knows why I had the urge

  298. to say no, we've got to do something. And being

  299. a person, and we talk about five four ministry in

  300. our church share right. We recognize each other's gift things

  301. and one of my gift things apostolic. Okay, so you

  302. know we can all sit still one la. Right, So

  303. I say, hey, you know, and I talked to my

  304. wife first life to get wife agreement. Hey, there, let's

  305. call plan at homes, me, you, the kids. Right, let's emulate.

  306. I know it's not going to be easy. I know

  307. logistic is gonna be crazy, but let's try to do

  308. it because we need to save people. So I extended

  309. the invite to my homies, hoping, hoping that even those

  310. that are in my care I'm discipling will follow me. An, okay,

  311. maybe this family his family come then with family together,

  312. they're not so crazy, right, but well, I will use

  313. the word. But unfortunately it was just my family and

  314. I family, the Chuang's family and Michelle and we went

  315. out and then we did He's been eight months. Friends,

  316. we have one Camber student coming. Only we believe that

  317. God will use us to reach um because there were

  318. a lot of signs that show us that you m

  319. is the place, but only one Camber student and only

  320. one recently we just added one more. Praise God. He's

  321. not here today. He's an esk, but we thank God

  322. for him. Why am I sharing this? So when I

  323. was reading this in homes last Friday, and that's why

  324. we meet Friday on an day because we got no homes,

  325. we got no venue, because me and my wife we

  326. don't stay here in PJ. We stay in Charalam. If

  327. we stay in PJ, got any read no problem? Logistically

  328. it'd be so easy if we had Friday night traffic

  329. not fun. Every time we go back home, it's like

  330. ten eleven o'clock tired, ready right? And we and that's

  331. why we meet on the following Friday, because we needed

  332. a place. And Vonnica graciously still opened the house, although

  333. I wish you would also opened her kitchen or cook

  334. for us. It's okay? And did you came now her? Now?

  335. Her daughter? Does that pass? Already still got a gifting there?

  336. So why am I sharing this to you? Well? As

  337. I was reading this story, I remember again, or more

  338. like God reminded me again why we planted the homes

  339. and why every homes here has a purpose. The homes

  340. is not supposed to be a clop. Friends. I remember

  341. a leader recently spoke to me and asked me and say, hey,

  342. in Hawa, my home's not growing. It's beenite difficult. A

  343. lot of people got opinions about church. And I say, well,

  344. up to you, La, if you wanted to talk. You're

  345. the leader. You decide. And then he's like, oh, how

  346. do I how do I present it. I say, very simple,

  347. go back to the reason why we have homes in

  348. the first place. Because some some times we will do

  349. certain things and then it will take a life on

  350. its own and become something else, and then it is

  351. not intended for its original purpose, and that's where problem starts.

  352. So I always go back to the reason why we

  353. do certain things, the reason why we dress up on

  354. a Sunday, the reason why we run homes. Because it

  355. is very easy sometimes as people to hijack. We don't

  356. like to say this word, but it's true. Hijack the

  357. intention and focus in things that make us feel good,

  358. and that takes precedence. That's reality, our friends. Can I

  359. be real with you? So I have a question that

  360. I'm asking myself. I'm asking you, I'm asking myself reading

  361. this story. Is XPJ a life saving station? Or are

  362. we just a club? Feels good? Right, You're coming here

  363. hang out you know once? Are we a live saving station?

  364. Are we just a club? Then I go back to

  365. the Y, say, I go back to the y. Why

  366. was X Church planted in pataling Jaya on the ninth

  367. of September twenty twelve, thirteen years ago? How did it start?

  368. Why was XPG birth or XBJA a birth course? El

  369. can you asked past Elvin or the time not passe

  370. at Elvin whether or not he want to come and

  371. plant church? Or he started because everybody planting church? So

  372. shot ma, everybody doing ma? So I also do la.

  373. Was it so that we can have another gathering of

  374. believers here in Jaya one? Or was it so that

  375. we can be a lighthouse to the people here in PJ?

  376. And it's very interesting planting x X churchair in PJ.

  377. You know why do you know that you trow stone

  378. across the road? Got other churches? You know? In America

  379. that's this place called the Bible Belt of Emma Curl

  380. in Texas, I think Tennessee meaning all the magach all

  381. Brad want no, He's like, there's so many churches there.

  382. You're like, hey, guys, can you please spread out there?

  383. Do you know that Pj's like that ban Banya Banya?

  384. You know that after you go lunch you see all

  385. the other church people there, You see it, you know,

  386. and one girl of people look a certain way, smaller

  387. certain way. You know, this all Christian none you know what?

  388. You know what I'm talking about? Right even here in

  389. giant one, there's two churches. That's one a good friend. Okay,

  390. but we didn't even know they plant it here. Okay,

  391. plant but it's Indonesian uh congregation? Right, they plant a service, right,

  392. so Pj's like the Bible belt. So why plant here?

  393. Why so many church? God? No need? Send us somewhere else,

  394. send us to I don't know, malam cap just throwing

  395. up and nobody here, anybody here? Tani m So you

  396. are poise it ches near my house? Easier? Come nearer

  397. to my house? Cannot I say? Nearer? Nearer? I remember

  398. the days, Joe, I don't really remember the days where

  399. we were praying and seeking God because when we started church, right,

  400. it's not just it's not just like, oh it makes sense,

  401. that's too. We don't do that things that way. You know.

  402. It started because the Holy Spirit did it. And when

  403. we started, we didn't even know we're going to meet here.

  404. You know? In fact, can I can I show you something?

  405. When I say yes to el Kenya right to say okay,

  406. other I think, let's do it. I didn't even know

  407. I was supposed to lead it. Okay, that was a story,

  408. not just that I didn't even know that I was

  409. first choice. I thought it was second choice. I only

  410. found out his first choice only like two three years back.

  411. This is the amount of confidence I had over myself. No,

  412. not someone else better than me. So imagine for ten Oh, yes,

  413. I think that I'm second choice. So I can appreciate.

  414. You know, even if God did and choose, you know,

  415. people didn't choose, we go choose you No, actually better

  416. choose first choice. I remember when we were praying. We

  417. prayed for six months before it started. We didn't even

  418. know where you're going to meet. Didn't even know there

  419. was such a place here. We never knew right, how

  420. we know about jaia Wan One of our partners, who

  421. his name is c Glim, He says, the office here,

  422. he's the iron Man, the men iron behind iron Man Malaysia.

  423. He he had a he had a place called at

  424. least a girl and all he said was, Hey, I

  425. got a place here seas in Pja. Why don't you

  426. guys meet here to pray? So we met to pray

  427. for two hours? Okay, we met pray every week we

  428. go and pray, right, Joe, remember prayer walk you know

  429. around this area? Michelle acclaim we didn't even know there

  430. was such a place, and then the testimony started coming.

  431. After three months, four months, they say, hey, why don't

  432. you meet here, like huh got place. In fact, how

  433. we got this place was also a testimony because prior

  434. to this there was another church meeting here and let's

  435. just say that that unfortunately that relationship ended badly with

  436. the management. And then we were like, huh, you don't

  437. know whether we can, don't know whether we will be

  438. able to or not because another church us didn't end well.

  439. They might say, nolah, it's okay, no religious getting no

  440. church one. They might say that, but somehow got opened

  441. the door and somehow we met here. In fact, we

  442. were not supposed to meet inside here. First we met

  443. in studio on two Why smaller small, so me there first.

  444. In my mind maybe three six months from now we

  445. will come here because pastors said, once we hit fifty people,

  446. come here. And then the time we were planting just

  447. just we knew. Of course the first meeting was here.

  448. Of course it was a Saturday. We wanted everybody to come.

  449. Three hundred people feel the place, so we get to

  450. feel it. Love following week is the real church service.

  451. We met upsairs fifty people, I think came right. No,

  452. not fifty kind, I think fifty. I think he said

  453. once we hit eight and I remember we run do

  454. you know we run service the same way we run

  455. fifteen years ago? Was she prayer in between? We had

  456. praying between and when we're doing praying between, I was

  457. a chairperson, I was doing a lot of things. I

  458. went up to this young gentleman who looked new. I mean,

  459. we all know who's who's not new mathswama and say,

  460. can I pray for you? And of course that started

  461. a relationship and a discipleship until today and now he's

  462. our worship coordinator. When we prayed in the six months,

  463. what do we receive? Because what we'll do is your pray,

  464. you know? And I seriously no for men, I'm not

  465. like you don't train in that. No, neither am I

  466. a prayer warrior. I mean, Chamin know who I am? Okay,

  467. I'm not like like that one. Okay, yeah, grow up

  468. me in chest together. So you know, so after prayer

  469. we open up. Did anyone receive anything from the Lord?

  470. And then people started sharing, Hey, I really believe God

  471. wants us to be a lighthouse here. Someone shared another

  472. person confirmed that, then we say a lighthouse. Hey, I

  473. feel we need to pray for the spirit of materialism

  474. in PJ. Huh got such a thing? Yes, because PJ

  475. is a Satima and there's a lot of social issues.

  476. People fight over money, people fight over a lot of

  477. things to do with materials. Pray against that. Hey, I

  478. think we need to pray for families ten years ago, right,

  479. not so? And someone called that, Hey, we will be

  480. a lighthouse to families out there, Families that are broken,

  481. families that are going through difficult times, families with a lighthouse,

  482. we pray for families who are lost who will be

  483. able to find their hope in Christ. Why am I

  484. sharing all this with your friends? Well, I guess I

  485. want to remind us or if you have not heard

  486. this before, let this be something that is clear. There's

  487. a church. We are life saving station. We are not

  488. just a club. So can we not argue about club things,

  489. but can we argue about life saving things? We need

  490. bigger boats, We need to go out more often. You know,

  491. I'm proud for XBJA. I'm proud because XPJA is one

  492. of the church plans. I recognize that we always send

  493. people formations on today, or so we joke about it.

  494. I don't know. Actually, what's the what's that tennis today?

  495. What seventy okay? So we said, actually said mala okay

  496. seventy people We joke lout like, huh, today's Tenni's gonna drop?

  497. Why two teams went not form missions today? Right pasta

  498. mat Atlin's Holmes And I think as homes went now right,

  499. We're proud of our church plan. We always supported chesch plan.

  500. Let me give you a scripture x twenty twenty four.

  501. But my life is worth nothing to me unless I

  502. use it for finishing the work assigned me by the

  503. Lord Jesus, the work of telling others the good news

  504. about the wonderful grace of God. I wrote here, Why

  505. do we multiply pgate homes? Why do we launch out

  506. to be more uncomfortable? And are right now? Nomadic? We're nomadic?

  507. You know? Nomadic we are? Why? As I was preparing

  508. for this message, I got this picture. Can you give

  509. me show the picture? What do you see? It's a boat? Right?

  510. You got different lifeboats. As I was prepreaying on this message,

  511. this picture came into my mind and I want you

  512. to think about it because all of you here are

  513. different ones here who commit to the church are a

  514. part of a hole. That big boat here in the middle

  515. is XPJ. Do you see all the little little rife

  516. lifecraft life raft on the boat. You know what'stad? Those

  517. are the homes today. We got two homes going out,

  518. two missions. He's Pastor Mats Homes saving this ball guy

  519. with the beard, and that's Leadin's Homes saving the guy

  520. with the I don't know why. He's holding a briefcase

  521. and drowning, probably drowning in depth of drowning in some

  522. financial trouble arkay. And then the guy temporarily got the

  523. life you know, the life saving thing really and then

  524. this boat that is over here that many should throw

  525. the life out to the the girl is PJ at homes.

  526. I claim fast la, I claim why because today later

  527. we're gonna do what field to fueler, right, We're gonna

  528. do an effort. Right. The chemist students is gonna come together.

  529. They're gonna pack like fifty Sutter packs and we're gonna

  530. just give it out, okay, and hopefully your bare food.

  531. Hopefully people will be curious. Hopefully people find out who

  532. we are hope people be connected to church, right and friends,

  533. can I give you some and I claim not like yeah,

  534. now our homes will go out. The other homes that

  535. are here inside church don't feel bad. Of course you

  536. are resting later when, but we need one home to

  537. come and save this lady. She's streaming for help. Ready.

  538. Let me give you this perspective. And I'm not sure

  539. whether it's a stretch, but I will say it this way.

  540. There's a lot of things happening right now in our

  541. country pretending young people correct. This is my firm belief.

  542. My firm belief is if they are family members, or

  543. if they themselves knew who Jesus was personally, they will

  544. not have lost their lives. Let us sing in for

  545. a moment. If the young people knew who Christ was,

  546. who that Christ loved them, If the young people understood

  547. Christ the way we understood, the way we understood Christ.

  548. Not yo, yo, get why may not the way we

  549. understand who Christ is? They wouldn't do what they're doing

  550. right now. A lot of times people don't fully get it,

  551. and sometimes someone words, here, we come to church, but

  552. we don't fully understand who Christ is in our lives

  553. That's why we get sucked into temptations, sucked into all

  554. these other things that affect us. Because, guys, whether we

  555. like it or not, we are making decisions on a

  556. daily basis. We choose to follow Jesus. It was a choice.

  557. It was not for us. None of you here are

  558. born a Christian. And if you think you are, please

  559. you need to accept Christ after today's message, because it's

  560. a personal choice. I'm very clear that my kids, they

  561. have to choose Jesus themselves. There's no okay once day

  562. eighteen years old, are I see to cut Christian? No

  563. such thing. All of us here have to choose to

  564. follow Christ ourselfs and we have to continue to choose

  565. to follow Christ ourself. True, that's a fact. You can

  566. don't like the fact, but that's a fact. That means

  567. that we have to take personal responsibility of our faith

  568. and personal responsibility when things happen. But the wonderful thing, friends,

  569. is that we are not alone. We've got our homes,

  570. we've got our church, We've got the community of believers

  571. that when we are drowning some ER's here we feel

  572. like actually a perselvey. I'm here, I felt off the

  573. board and I'm drowning. I need help. Sure your homes

  574. that you've got a number ready will come and save

  575. you because you're drowning. You'll catch it or not. It's

  576. an urgency friends that I don't know whether we realize

  577. or not, because now people are really dying. Really, it's

  578. not fake anymore. No, it's not oh, you know news

  579. somewhere far, far away. No, it's happening here in malisure.

  580. Are we catching something or are we? Can we come

  581. to a place where we are ignorant and continue live

  582. our lives and continue to play this game We can't,

  583. our friends, we can't, and don't worry about it. Ignorance

  584. is blissed. Look five to one to nine, Look five

  585. one tonight. And I end with this. I guys, okay,

  586. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad. Okay,

  587. So don't feel bad. If you feel bad, then it's

  588. Holy Spirit, can not me. I surrender to him, you know,

  589. I'm saying this for us to wake up. Wake up,

  590. Time to wake up. Luke Chapter five one to nine says,

  591. so it was as the multitude pressed about him to

  592. hear the word of God, that he stood by the

  593. lake of Ganessaret and saw two boats standing by the lake,

  594. but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing

  595. their nets. Then he got into one of the boats,

  596. which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a

  597. little from the land. And he sat down and taught

  598. the multitudes from the boat. When he had stopped speaking,

  599. he said to Simon, friends, catch these words up, launch

  600. out into the deep, and let down your nets for

  601. a catch. But everybody say, but you know some NICs.

  602. We have the butt for Jesus. But Jesus, but God, I,

  603. but I vary, But I got no man, but I

  604. got no time. But my family. But I not a

  605. baster but I but I don't know the Bible enough.

  606. But but I but answered Simon answered him and said, Master,

  607. we have pot all night and got nothing. Yeah, I

  608. ready did this just now. Ready, I really prayed, readly,

  609. I ready went for all the mission. Try. Ready, I

  610. ready reached out to my my family so many times, reay,

  611. I really did so many come on thirty yes, ready, ten, yes, ready, Jesus.

  612. Why now nevertheless, at your word, I will let down

  613. the nets. How many of us are going to come

  614. to the place. Nevertheless, at your word, Despite all the

  615. stuff that happened to you in the past, despite all

  616. the disappointments, despite all the people that betray you, despite

  617. all the people that left you. I disciple ready so

  618. many times. Very painful, Yes, very painful. I know recently

  619. or so, I had to let go of someone fifteen

  620. years together. But person wanted to do something. I'm like, Okay,

  621. let's just continue to be friends. He's going to be fine.

  622. Person's under Christ. You know, still going to church, Praise Scot,

  623. pray that you will find something there. Is it painful,

  624. of course, but nevertheless, at your word, I will let

  625. down my nets. And what happened, friends, And when they

  626. had done this, they caught a great number of fish,

  627. and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their

  628. partners in the other boats and come and help them.

  629. And they came and filled both the boats so that

  630. they began to sing. When Simon Peter saw it, he

  631. fell down, and Jesus kneed saying, depart from me, for

  632. I'm a sinful man, Oh Lord, for he and all

  633. who were with him were astonished at the catch or

  634. fish which they had taken. Friends. Today, I believe Jesus

  635. wants us to launch out into the deed, not just

  636. as a church, but you guys as well, whatever that means.

  637. But the thing that sometimes we don't realize, or at

  638. least sometimes we need to come to terms with first,

  639. is that it first takes obedience and submission. It doesn't

  640. take passion, it doesn't take excitement, it doesn't take any

  641. of this. It just takes obedience. They have called all night.

  642. They have done ministry so long ready, they have organized

  643. so many different things. They did. They have tried to

  644. reach out to everybody. First time cannot, The time cannot,

  645. five time cannot. But when God's word comes, are we

  646. going to do it? Are we going to say, Okay, God,

  647. I listened to you. It takes obedience and it takes submission.

  648. Do you know the word submission? Is there? I'm preparing

  649. another message I won't always share today, but I'm preparing

  650. that message on submission. I'm beginning to realize recognize that

  651. submission is very important and a lot of times, right

  652. we live our lives, we know submission. It looks like submission,

  653. but it's not. And unfortunately I can tell you, honestly, God,

  654. honest submission. But the world teaches us to be your

  655. own man it's a that cast. It is like a

  656. total you know contract. Contrast, it takes obedience and submission,

  657. and that's something every one of us here have to

  658. decide on our own obedience. I'm not saying obey me, no, no,

  659. no obedience to the Lord add submission to him. But

  660. when we take that step of faith, when we take

  661. their self faith. Hopefully when and not ifla when we

  662. take yourself faith, then we will experience God's hand in

  663. our lives because God is pleased with him. I don't

  664. know your background, I don't know what you go through,

  665. but there's one thing I know as a believer, and

  666. I want that path. Is that when God says something

  667. and when I listen and obey, it is always a

  668. step of faith on you cannot see you on, But

  669. the moment you take that step of faith forward, he

  670. will reward you, because it's said in Hebrew Chapter eleven,

  671. verse six. But without faith it is impossible to please him.

  672. For he who comes to God must believe that he

  673. is and that he is a rewarder of those who

  674. diligently seek him. Talk to the Christians here that have

  675. taken steps of faith in their life. You will recognize

  676. and hear that once you can do it one time

  677. for a small thing, big things easier. And when I

  678. say step of faith, I'm not talking about, oh, you know,

  679. give all your money to the Lord. Hello, that stet

  680. of foolishness. And let's God say solar. Step of faith

  681. means a God say something you obey. Most of the time,

  682. when God says something and we have to obey, you

  683. cannot see the future. And just got trust him. I

  684. mean by self faith. And when he says something and

  685. you take them self faith. He is a rewarder of

  686. those who diligently seek him. That's what I'll leave for

  687. you today. I'm not sure who this message will talk to.

  688. I'm not sure what you guys will do after this.

  689. I pray that this chese plant will continue to be

  690. a life saving station. But my encouragement for us this

  691. morning is that it's time to step out in faith

  692. just now when we're doing the priorship prayer, Friends, I

  693. want to encourage you, no matter how bad things get

  694. in your life, please look to Christ. It is not

  695. our experience as a believer. It is not the amount

  696. of you know, street credit we have, amount title we

  697. have Actually very interesting now in X we've got people

  698. a lot title past doctor Principal Paster Jack. I think

  699. he's the most titles as the elder teacher. Anyway, it's

  700. not about the titles. It is also time, friends, to

  701. obey the call of God over your lives. Papa said, Elvin,

  702. I'm already Yeah, you're not too old. Pasai, I got

  703. a family, yep, with your family. I am experimenting planting

  704. a homes with my family. Why is it experimenting because

  705. I can fail. It's time to obey the call of

  706. God and stop playing in the shadows. Stop it. You're

  707. not going to get anything if you're play in the shallows. Friends, Seriously,

  708. for those hours who have gone and gone to the deep,

  709. we understand deeply scary. You know you cannot feel the bottom.

  710. I can't same. You know, I need to rely on

  711. the life jacket. But when we go into the deep,

  712. and when we fully trust God and obey him, well

  713. we will be ruthful. You will be Life will be

  714. more at peace, Life will be more fulfeeling. Friends, I

  715. tell you, abandoned life is awesome. You don't have to

  716. wait to go to heaven to have abundant life. But

  717. you know sometimes there are certain things in our lines

  718. that hold us back. Our fears, our worries, the decisions

  719. we constantly make that say cannot, cannot, cannot, although God

  720. say can. Friends, it's time to go. It's time to go.

  721. I don't know what in your life situation it is.

  722. And please don't do it alone. Please do it with

  723. someone else because the one thing that also have learned

  724. is that our hearts are ready receiving. Can One can bluff,

  725. can bluff one. You can blove yourself on. You can

  726. prove yourself to do a lot of things on and

  727. justify I love things on. Friends, That's the reality of life.

  728. So don't do it alone. You need someone else there

  729. that will Hey, hello, stop doing that. Not the smartters,

  730. but step by in faith. Amen.

  731. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  732. information on our church, please visit exchurch do org. We

  733. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  734. this week is going to be a good week.

  735. I hit for you.

  736. God bless
