You're listening to a message to go from Acts Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea. So
-
the title of message and we're going through a series,
-
the question or the statement is.
-
What is revival? Okay? What is revival? Nice? Not my size?
-
What is revival? That's the question. I was choosing color
-
this morning. I'm like, oh, wish color red means blood
-
of Jesus. Blue is more coming. I just yellow because
-
I thought annoying thing oil would be quite cooler.
-
Okay, what is revival? Okay?
-
Let's if you if you read the dictionary revival or revive,
-
you only use that word when you're reviving someone that's did. Correct,
-
when you're reviving something that's they revive, revived something that related.
-
We need to revive the person or persons in in shock.
-
Cord blue, is that correct? There's a cord blue right right?
-
Cord blue means bad, no, okay, not come, you know, uh.
-
And we want to revive the person. The person is
-
in a coma. We want to revive the person.
-
Right.
-
So when you talk about revival and Christian what does
-
it mean. Let's study it a little bit. Okay, let's
-
go deeper in what reviving means. Can I say that
-
reviving is or revival is returning to the original?
-
Okay?
-
Can I say that reviving something is just returning it
-
to the original state something that was that it was
-
a lie. Becoming dead is not original state. You you
-
follow the England, how you follow the England? How I
-
don't go to date with you? Right, something that was
-
alive became dead and we revive it to be alive
-
because the original status, the original condition, the original is life.
-
Right, So what does it mean?
-
Well, back to basics is what we're thinking about when we.
-
Talk about revival. We're talked.
-
We're thinking about, Hey, if we need to revive, going
-
back to basics, what is basics? We'll go deeper into
-
it in a bit. So for us as a church,
-
this is to go back to the basics of X.
-
And I'm not talking about X Church in two thousand
-
year two thousand. I'm talking about X Church two thousand
-
years ago, when the first church started.
-
That's why we call our church the name Extras.
-
For some of us here who have been in exchis
-
for so long, but we forget we are not here
-
to be called to be a Bookit like good church
-
if you get that, we're not here to be called
-
the House of God Church. Okay, right, we're we're not
-
called to be any other church, but X.
-
That's just what we're called.
-
So don't get confused, friends, Please don't get confused. Right
-
And for us, the reason why the name X is
-
so significant because we want to go back into the
-
church in the Book of X, the church, the first
-
church in the book of the first Church in the Bible.
-
Going back to that, back to basics. So we talked
-
of revival. That's what we're thinking about. That's where we
-
are going, right when we talk about back to basics?
-
What else? Okay?
-
For you, as a believer, how many of you here
-
are believers? Can you just wave your hand? You are
-
a Christian. You receive Jesus as your law and savior.
-
If you didn't raise your hand, it's okay. Later we
-
have a you know, a salvation called please raise your
-
hand then and then you experience Christ, you know, who
-
are coming resigne your life. Do you remember the first
-
time you said the salvation prayer? I think I remember
-
the first time I said the salvation prayer.
-
I was very excited.
-
You know, of course I had the exposure of being
-
in a Christian family for many years, you know, and
-
I always thought that I was born Christian. Friends, there's
-
no such thing. You need to receive Jesus for yourself.
-
And I remember when I received Jesus. Actually was not
-
sure because I.
-
Was still here.
-
I received in three times in Sunday school until the
-
third time the teacher had those sit down and say, actually,
-
you received ones enough?
-
Right? Hands up? Many times? Right? And isn't it if
-
you remember the first time?
-
Right, you receive Christ as your person, ever, personal law
-
and savior. Isn't it like going back to our first love?
-
But everything's exciting. We're going church, You're exciting. I remember
-
when I was a Christian.
-
I was young.
-
I actually you know, drama gung ho, decide to attend
-
my friends church or so. So it was one Sunday,
-
I remember, I went to three churches the recess. Nothing
-
better to do, right, you know. And the last time
-
on no internet, last time, got no social media, last
-
time on not a netfix. So we were free now
-
or now we're busy LAPAs Ilvean. I have to follow
-
Culinary Wars and follow the latest season of you know, Chef.
-
In my fridge so I can practice how to cook
-
in fifteen minutes. Right, so busy, But when we I mean,
-
if you cannot imagine loving Jesus that way, I'm sure
-
you can imagine your first love. In relationships were exciting, right,
-
you know the person walked past you. Your hus keep
-
a bit, right, I see some airy people still smiling.
-
I'm sure your wife is still helping you. Every time
-
your wife walks past. I'm sure your heart keeps a bit.
-
Hopefully keep a bit and not high attacker. Okay, back
-
to our first love. That's back to basics. Back to
-
excitement when serving God extreme so exciting, right when you
-
serve God, when you you you've been one thing and
-
you believe that the Lord has called you to play guitar,
-
and your your skills and talent is wasted, it.
-
Homes and you want to prove and show yourself.
-
On this stage because the more you string you know
-
it's from the you know, the sprea of the Lord
-
will come down. You will get healed, right right right?
-
Remember how excited you are five years later? Huh so early,
-
doctor Jason? Why so early? How you mean we need
-
to go to the storage place and pack our things
-
and coming. Just keep it behind here. Lah, I want
-
to sleep. You know, you know, you know, you know
-
how precious these arms are. You know I need my
-
beauty sleep. I cannot perform. It's not performances about worship.
-
Back to our excitement and serving God. You know, whole steam,
-
so excited, shake hands, no now cities word and you said,
-
yeah him.
-
Back right.
-
Back to our excitement of serving God again, right back
-
where we don't count.
-
We've got God.
-
That day I come for Sunday ready, and then then
-
homes Nona. I come for home city Sunday. I come
-
ready two hours for pray, then prayer service. Today we
-
contral okay, God contralt because I came for this and
-
that and then there's a certain time. I'm managing my life.
-
I'm balancing my life. If you are doing it, please
-
don't us. I'm not talking about you. Back to where
-
we don't count.
-
We've God.
-
Actually, maybe you don't come. We've got la, but you
-
will come with you or how a leader or you
-
count your home leader. Yes, why give again?
-
I give so much?
-
They get these other fellows to give flaw. It's fair, right, God,
-
it's fair right, supposed to be fair, right.
-
Let's read the word X chapter one versus learned fourteen.
-
Are you guys okay? We're going on to dig deeper
-
in what is revival? Okay? What is revival? Right? We
-
want to learn because why is it good to learn?
-
Because when we learn something new that we didn't know
-
before or didn't realize before, and then we apply it,
-
then we benefit from it. You'll catch that sometimes we
-
do things because we just don't know, because we maybe
-
fall to the flash, fall to different ways, you know,
-
fall to different teachings, false teachings, I guess the word
-
you know, fall to different opinions. Do you know that
-
when you have mama over the the table, like or
-
you have discussion during CNY about church ands and then
-
you hear a friend share something that you really like,
-
you love.
-
Actually, actually you're not.
-
Servisa should be one hour only because God is a
-
god of order, He don't need so long one And
-
then he talked to some of our African brothers, right,
-
and they're saying, huh, so shut up our shots services for.
-
Ours because he got two hour worship.
-
One hour preservice prayer and smernot hand ha huh X
-
Chapter one verse for eleven or fourteen.
-
What does it say? So, okay, let's read from nine now.
-
When he had spoken these things, while they watched, he
-
was taken up, and a cloud received him out of
-
their sight. And while they look stayfastly towards heaven. As
-
he went up, behold two men stood by them in
-
white apparel, who also said, men of Galilee, why do
-
you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who
-
has taken up from you into heaven, will so come
-
in like a manner as you saw him go to heaven.
-
Right.
-
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount cork Olivert,
-
which is near Jerusalem, a seventh day's journey. And when
-
they had entered, they went up into the upper room
-
where they were staying Peter, James, John, Andrew, Phillip, Thomas Bartholomew,
-
and Matthew, James the son of el Faeus, and Simon
-
the Zealid, and Judas the son of James.
-
This all counted.
-
We want to call in prayer and supplication with the
-
women and the Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with
-
his brothers.
-
So this was so.
-
Remember I said, we're going back to basics. You want
-
to learn anything something you got to go to the foundation.
-
You know, sometimes a good question to ask ourselves is,
-
you know, when we get to modeled in our life
-
and we get too deep in our life and maybe
-
we get to advance, then we kind of forget the past.
-
We kind of forget. You know, if you're in a marriage, you're.
-
Like, oh, you know you you know, my wife always
-
like me, and then my husband, and then you kind
-
of forget why you're marriagae ither in the first place.
-
You forgot the girl that when she fling her hand
-
the wind, then you smell a way of follow me shampoo.
-
Then your heart was ticking. You forgot, and it's good
-
to go back to the basics. Now, it's good to
-
go back to that, you know the way my wife
-
don't youse follow me just I don't know what branch
-
she uses.
-
So what happened? Jesus ascended?
-
So okay, So if you read before that, okay, you
-
will read that Jesus is alive. Do you know that
-
Jesus was around for forty days after he came a
-
life back again?
-
Do you know that he was around for a long time?
-
You know why why was he around?
-
Because forty days no no, no, Why was he there
-
for forty days? Right? He was around for forty days,
-
teaching and reminding the disciples. Hey, guys, remember what I
-
used to say to you before I died on the
-
cross and you saw me dining across and now I'm
-
alive again. Remember what I used to say to you
-
that you will be my friends and you know the
-
work of God. Remember what I used to say to
-
you that I will die for the since some men.
-
Remember what I say to you about communion. Remember, for
-
forty days he was reminding them. He didn't just okay, bye, guys, ascension,
-
No forty days, no, think about it.
-
Think about it.
-
So I love God's word because God is so practical.
-
Because he was trying to encourage them. He was trying
-
to say, yay, I know you'll abandoned me, I know
-
you're which they did. Even Peter abandoned him. Everybody left him,
-
you know, right one day portrayed. Everybody left, but he
-
came back, and he came back to restore the disciples.
-
He came back to restore them, right, and he said,
-
remember the helper that will come, But I have to
-
go so that the helper will come. Who's the helper,
-
Holy Spirit right, God's presence.
-
Right, so I have to go.
-
So wait, don't leave anywhere where specific instructions. Don't leave,
-
don't go anywhere, don't don't stop stopped, don't go and
-
start doing me wait for the helper to arrive.
-
Wait here.
-
And they waited in the upper room, one hundred and
-
twenty of them. Kind of tells you that there were
-
more disciples. Where did this one hundred and twenty come? Well,
-
I'm guessinger. I didn't do deep study yet, but I
-
remember seventy left and left trophon me, So I think
-
this one hundred and twenty was also part of the
-
seventy that left, I think, and more that came here
-
and there roughly okay, because how can you have one
-
hundred and twenty people in the upper room because there
-
was the number given. No, one hundred and twenty people
-
decided to do prayer service, decided.
-
To do pray four times.
-
They don't know they were there for I don't know
-
how they were how long they were there, but they
-
were there, and he was during the festival, and God said,
-
pray right, pray, and then the Holy Spirit came. Can
-
I say that the first revival happened when the Holy
-
Spirit came.
-
Can I say that.
-
Where Peter was anointed and he preached the word, he
-
preached what Jesus taught him for the past three years
-
and what he saw, and then the first Church was formed.
-
Let's read on what happened next chapter two, verse one
-
to thirteen. So in the day of the Pentecost had
-
fully come. They were all, we want a call in
-
one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven
-
as of a rushing mighty wing, and he filled the
-
whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to
-
them divided tongues as of fire, and one set upon
-
each of them. And they were all filled with the
-
Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as
-
the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem,
-
Jews development from every nation under heaven. And when this
-
sound occurred, the multitude came together and were confused because
-
everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they
-
were all amazed and marvels, saying to one another, look
-
are not all these who speak Gallians? And how is
-
it that we hear each in our own languages? In
-
which were both. You know how interesting that line is.
-
How come you got different people from different Jews staying
-
in different areas all in the one place at that time, right,
-
I think we got deeper study. You also read that
-
that moment in time was kind of like a celebration
-
where people came from everywhere back to Jerusalem. It's kind
-
of like where we had Chinese new Air, where we
-
came from everywhere to wherever we are at and some
-
of us go back and they were marveling. They were like, hey,
-
all these were from Klangon. How come they can speak
-
Australian English. Then now we get a joke. It's fine,
-
And how is it that we hear each in our
-
own language in which we were born. Passians myths and elementites.
-
Of course they were speaking tongues and they were proclaiming
-
the wonderful works of God in tongues that they didn't get.
-
But it was in all these different languages.
-
Right, Passians means element is just dwelling in Mesopotamia, Julia, Cappadocia, Ponte,
-
in Asia, Furuyjia, from failure Egypt. The parts of Libya
-
are joining Sirene visitors from Rome. Both Jews and proselyzes,
-
Christians Arabs. We hear them speaking our own tongues, the
-
wonderful works of God. So they were all mazed and perplexed,
-
saying to one another, whatever could this mean? Others mocked
-
and said they are full of new wine. So when
-
revival happens, friends, there will be those that marvel. When
-
revival happens in your life, there will be those that marvel.
-
Wah, how come you? How come you? How come this happened?
-
How come? Wow? Holy way, powerful desimony, awesome dose that marvel.
-
And there will be those that mock.
-
Show bo, show me, show me, show me, no, lie
-
you bluff and now Christian righte, Christian bluff and right.
-
There will be those that mock. You got to know, no,
-
I'm I'm telling you so that you're aware. Sorry, you
-
won't get discouraged when people mock your revival? How why
-
suddeny so holy Ah, last year can do all these things?
-
Now? Suddenly suddenly suddenly.
-
Holiah, When VI what happens in your life, there will
-
be those that marvel, and there'll be those that you
-
got to know that you're going to get two ends
-
of the coin. Hopefully you get more marveling, more marveling
-
than less mocking. But if you get more mocking, know
-
that God is there. Know that is small purpose. Right,
-
So two happened. A crazy thing happened, but there were
-
two responses. So, friends, when the Spirit of God revives
-
our hearts, the Holy Spirit took over, That's what happened.
-
Then the pentacost, the Holy Spirit just took over.
-
Amen. And then what happened X one.
-
It says, but you shall receive power when the Holy
-
spirits come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to
-
me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and
-
to the end of the earth. So the clarity that
-
we have from Christ when he was around for the
-
forty days, right, and he was again doing revision with
-
all the guys. Remember, please don't forget that. Please remember
-
the Spirit of God will come and you will be
-
my witnesses. And then what happens, friends, what happens? Well,
-
the clarity is that when the Spirit of God moves
-
in our lives, there will be transformation happening. Transformation will happen,
-
Transformation in what area, Transformation in your bodies, healing, transformation
-
in your conduct, transformation in your speech, transformation in the
-
way you think. So when truly God's spirit comes into
-
your life, these things will change. I've heard many testimonies.
-
All my father used to be like this, my mother
-
used to be I remember reclearly my grandma right the way.
-
I love her to wits, you know. And she was
-
the one that raised me up when I was young.
-
But I remember when I was growing up, I was
-
neutral Switzerland, but everyone else that was not Switzerland got
-
the taste of her negging.
-
And I kid you not. She's a that person that
-
cannet you to death. I'm serious. She can get you
-
to death. Okay, it's quite bad, right, But.
-
She got saved before my granddad. I thought my granda
-
will get safe first, because he was the chill guy,
-
you know, more open to listen.
-
But my grandma's the one who gotta say. I'm like, Lord,
-
you must be real. You know. If she can get safe,
-
everyone can get safe. Right. Her neighbor reached out to
-
her Clang Chinese Methodist church. Right, she got safe.
-
One hundred and eighty degree change, one hundred and day degree.
-
That was my testimony. How many times I've heard of
-
testimonies or people change when they receive Christ.
-
Not perfect, still got a problem, but transform not one.
-
Hundred percent, because the Bible says you are continuously being
-
worked to perfection in our men, because we are still
-
on this earth, and we still have flesh, and we
-
still lean to the flesh. Right, but there's transformation. Let's
-
read on X chapter two, verse forty four. Are you
-
guys catching something? I hope you are okay, because we're
-
doing a study on WHI it's revival, right, those things
-
will happen right X two forty to forty seven X
-
two forty or forty seven and with many other words.
-
He testified, and it's all that I'm saying, be saved
-
from this perverse generation. This is what Paul said. He
-
testified on Christ. He testified on Christ did right. It
-
was a supernatural thing that happened. Then those who gladually
-
received his word were baptized, and that day about three
-
thousand souls were added to them. It means also that
-
there were those that didn't receive the word yet. I
-
used the word yet that because we still believe they can, right.
-
So when we look at the three thousand, it's as
-
easier to know. Okay, guys, I preach our three thousand
-
people here or no, there were probably more people than
-
three thousand, probably more, but only three thousand accepted, meaning
-
that if if like all you guys here will preach,
-
you know, maybe the first message appreis to you half
-
of you or mey one. You didn't expecive how many
-
are okay, but a number of you will not believe yet, right,
-
So it's very interesting, you know, when you go deeper,
-
because we always think that when we've ever happened, everybody
-
will believe, everybody will actually no, no, there is still
-
this point where God still allows or God gives us
-
free will that if you want to reject me, you can.
-
When my highlight thing this is Ray but wants to
-
understand that because we can actually reject God one, we
-
can actually reject the things that God wants to do
-
in our life. On you can one, I don't know
-
whether anybody will tell you or not. You know, sometimes
-
we talk about the wonderful message or the gospel, but
-
the gospel can reject it or no. So sometimes the
-
question is not about whether the gospel is effective. Sometimes
-
I feel the question is whether are we receiving of
-
the gospel or are we a little bit rejecting gospel,
-
because we have to receive the Gospel fully, and then
-
we will experience transformation in our lives. Friends, I hope
-
you catch that. So what does he say says here?
-
Then those who glat to received were baptized, and the
-
day about three thousand souls were added. And they continued
-
said roughly in the apostles, doctrine and fellowship, in the
-
breaking of bread and prayers. Then fear came upon every soul,
-
and mean in wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
-
Not all who believed were together, and all things in common.
-
They would transformed before that. Maybe they were planning to
-
open a business before that. Maybe they were planning I
-
don't know really yah plans. But they were planning different things.
-
But they experienced this wonderful thing that happened. They experienced
-
such a transformation, right, and they had all things in common,
-
and so their possessions and goods and divided them among
-
all us anyone had needed. So continuing daily in one
-
accurt in the temple and breaking of bread or house
-
to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity
-
of heart, praising God and having favor with all people,
-
and the Lord added to the church daily those who
-
were being safe. Of course, this happened two thousand years ago.
-
First hold two thousand too. Now the church looks a
-
little bit different, okay, because we live.
-
With our faith right, and we have an understanding and
-
expression of this.
-
Actually house to house homesore, breaking up bread, right, communion,
-
that's what we did, fellowship one another. I just had,
-
you know, breakfast with tim Quan just now, and I
-
see the host eating fellowship.
-
Hey, it's all pouchich, no praising God, wors shit.
-
Don't minus that off your your Sunday even you know,
-
fellowship after right, and they continue to stay fastly in
-
the pussus doctrine. Right of course, last time, got no
-
Bible to give you. And then worse come later on
-
they make it in Latin only then they make it exclusive. Now,
-
oh my goodness. You can download Bible now for free
-
if you want to. But are we walking state fastly
-
in the Word of God? That's the question. Is irony
-
about human beings? Know, the nearer you stay there, later
-
you are. The further you stay, the earlier you are.
-
Whatever that's super convenient, you kind of don't do it.
-
One. But the things that are really hard, you will
-
that I do it. One.
-
It's very funny. People are very funny. I'm just hiring
-
this for us to.
-
Just take notre of it.
-
So a community of believers friends had their lives transformed,
-
and there are two clear indicators. I believe as a
-
church that we will be transformed if we experienced revival
-
because they had favor among all men and God is
-
glorified in the end. I feel these are two clear
-
indicators of a transformed life. Right, So the question I
-
have is are we displaying this truth in our own
-
lives and in our church?
-
Do we have favor?
-
That's like searching for favor is very important. I always
-
look for God's favor, right, Gods aren't worry that favor?
-
Yeah? I know God? Is se you with me? God?
-
Do you are you here? Or is he a major struggle?
-
You know, because sometimes we make decisions based on not
-
based on what God wants us to do. We make
-
decisions based on our own self. And then when we
-
don't have favor and we face trouble and then who
-
I'm teaching your some things and in the end God
-
is glorifying. No, not not ersenal that's a very good indicator. No,
-
so when someone gives testimony, right, I ask you judge testimony,
-
don't judge, don't judge. Okay, we all glorify God when
-
your life is transformed, our friends. This is why I
-
believe it. Of course I've seen it. Remember my my
-
hearted leaders shared this with me last time when I
-
just started off, you know, in church. And of course
-
we encourage you. Gole the disciple, you know, and we
-
still do. We still do enourage your disciple. And I
-
remember a hot leader and the time probably I was
-
very rough around it ages, not a little bit, but
-
very rough around it ages. And I'm like, oh, Kenna,
-
can disciple, I am not as good as you know.
-
We think I'm not as good as this pastor or
-
that person, or as nice as this person. I have
-
enough what's the word enough resources as this other person?
-
Can I or not be Guys, I'm not there yet.
-
I remember, I say, Elvin, don't worry you, just run
-
after Christ, because those who run after Christ will exude
-
a fragrance from their life that people will find attractive.
-
You'll catch that you don't have to do anything to
-
make yourself look nicer, more handsome, than Actually even Jesus
-
himself was the most plain looking guy ever, but he
-
was the most attractive person that thousands flocked to see him.
-
That's Christ.
-
Okay, he doesn't look like how he looked like today,
-
you know all the look like like some rock star
-
wearing white all the time. It's very good at this
-
impression now. But they say that he look like the
-
most normal person ever. Think of the most normal person.
-
You can't think because we cannot imagine. But yet his
-
life exuded fragrance? Friends, are our lives exuding fragrance? The
-
fragrance of God? Now being poetic with the way I
-
say it, but do you have favor with people?
-
Right? That's that's a good indicator of revival? Right?
-
And are we glorifying God daily with the things that's
-
happening and lit because we know that he's the one
-
that is causing it? Not? No, this mea this me
-
is all me. I'm a self made man. I really
-
don't like that word. I know somebody will use that
-
word self made man, got no involved law if you're
-
a self made man a woman. I'm not a self
-
made man. I admit all the I mean sign If
-
you're shy because people say, oh, you know he's this
-
is dead. Friends, honestly, are I give all God all
-
the creditler I give all God all the credit. Right,
-
I give God. I even give him the credit for
-
creating me the way I am, all messy and all.
-
And it's only true.
-
Following after Jesus, running after Jesus, that there's transformation in
-
my life. I can testify about that. It's only true
-
him no other way. You know, as I reflect about
-
my own personal life, there are many ways it could
-
have gone. Really, there are many ways he could have
-
gone in other areas. You know, I could have found myself,
-
you know, I grabbing clang. I didn't have a good
-
experience with family from a very young age, already sort
-
of like well, personally it's my own issue, okay, put
-
family as secondary, you know. And the challenge was, you know,
-
thankfully I had the church there. Honestly, as I think,
-
I'm like, well, thankfully as a church. I actually had
-
one argument my mom before, mother complaining, why go church
-
every day? Whit go church every weekend? Now you know
-
you're too long in.
-
Church, serving chest too much?
-
Then I quite die, do I look at my mom, say, Mom,
-
you ready me be in church or you ready, me
-
clubbing outside my friends?
-
Then she cannot say anything else. You know.
-
Well, I tell you I think it was God that
-
preserved me, you know, because I cannot think of anyone
-
else to give credit to. Unfortunately, my parents did their best, right,
-
and I also made a lot of miss six when
-
I was young, which I'm not proud of. But I
-
think all that I'm experiencing now really is true God's
-
transformity power.
-
Right.
-
Yeah, for some friends here, you're know what I'm talking
-
about because you know me from Adam how perfect I
-
am as a person.
-
But you can change because God is there few Amen.
-
So are we.
-
Displaying this fruit or not? You don't have to be
-
perfect enough. I'm not one hundred percent perfect, right, but
-
we can get better.
-
So do we have this fruit?
-
You know I'm sharing all these things. Always sit down? No, no, no, no,
-
we're getting somewhere.
-
Do I have the fruit?
-
Do I have favored people? Or everywhere I go and
-
people don't like to hang on me at all?
-
Right? Or what am I proclaiming my mouth? Am I
-
glorifying God? See? Yah?
-
You kind of glorify God? Pretend one I don't know.
-
Let you'll catch this. It's very easy to put on
-
a mask and say, oh, pray Scot, praise God, Praise God.
-
But if you don't mean it, doesn't mean anything. You
-
know how to say praise God and mean it when
-
you really mean it? Now, like when Leehue stands up
-
here and tessify, you know she means it. It's not
-
just it's not just for show. No why because she
-
experienced God.
-
That's why she can.
-
So how do you glorify God? You got to experience God, law,
-
how do you experience God? You got to experience a
-
life of revival? How do you experience life wherever?
-
Come? Let's talk about it here.
-
If we don't have these indicators in our life, fruitfulness, transformation,
-
that means for the past twenty years, you're still the
-
same person now, But yet you profess Jesus.
-
It be hard for me to believe that you've got
-
Jesus in your life. La.
-
Honestly, not not to judge you, La, but I think
-
anybody who works with Christ will have to change on
-
whether you like it or not, because God will change you.
-
So what do you do? Then?
-
Well, go back to basics on Can I break it
-
down a little bit more? About going back to basics.
-
What is our faith, friends, It is a relationship with Christ. Right,
-
can we go to uh, back to basics before after this?
-
So back to basics. The fundamental thing about back to
-
basics is connecting back to our creator, connecting back to
-
our creator, right, connecting back to our creator, building or
-
rebuilding the relationship. I think all you here being in
-
a relationship, for you, you can't understand this, right, when
-
we want to build a relationship means you don't really
-
know the person yet, maybe you kind of know the
-
person but you don't really know the person. You don't
-
really talk to the person, right, And then you've got
-
to build a relationship correct, so that it can be close.
-
But for some of us, maybe we already know God.
-
Maybe when we're young, we really going on God, we
-
really experienced Him in many wonderful ways. Maybe we went
-
for mission treatment, we did all kinds of things and
-
we were so excited. But the older we get, the
-
more we feel like, let the young people do it.
-
Then we need to rebuild. Because right, friends, as a Christian,
-
right as a believer, right understanding the Bible, right, I
-
don't think God. There's so many stories in the Bible
-
about how people who are like super advancing their age
-
still serve God with all your hearts. So you read
-
about Caleb who's eight. He hasn't got his promise yet.
-
He got kids and green kids Saidiyah, and Joshua is saying, Caleb,
-
you wait here a lot in the camp. Let your
-
your descendants go and you know, take over this mountain.
-
It's a time you take all this mountain. Let them
-
take aw this mountain. You chill here to receive. He said, No,
-
as long as I got stranged my bones, I'm still
-
gonna go and get it. And when I hear that
-
straight I'm like, man, I want this straight man. When
-
I'm seventy ady, I said, I'm still gonna self go
-
it all my heart. I'm still gonna give my best. Yes,
-
I mean not be able to do a lot of things.
-
Recognizing that you are not as strong as the younger ones.
-
You know, like you cannot go for a revel tour,
-
don't sleep and then come back. You got here, you
-
stay there and you come back. You know you cannot
-
go in last time. Maybe you're younger, you can now
-
we cannot, you know, like you know what, let me
-
stay back here I got be more funds. I'll just
-
sleep and then I'll fly back tomorrow. You know, right,
-
But it doesn't mean I can also have got it
-
all my heart? Right, You got to rebuild that really
-
his ship because God has so much more stuff for you.
-
As long as you're still on these earth, friends, as
-
long as you're still breeding, God wants you to serve him.
-
It's just that in your capacity, and maybe you got
-
more wisdom. Maybe don't teach the younger fellas? Are tach
-
the younger fellas because when you're young, you look at
-
all the fleshy stuff, But when you're older, you kind
-
of see things for what is what it is, and
-
you will know what is important and what it's not
-
important because you've been there before.
-
Right, So how do you rebuild? How do you reconnect?
-
Can you go back? Read your Bible?
-
Pray every day, pray every day, Pray every day, read
-
your Bible, pray every day if you want to. You're
-
never grow up in Sunday School. Sorry, sorry, sorry, I apologize.
-
Has so simple in here, pray, worship, keeping.
-
God's word and devotion. Yes, yes, yes, How do you
-
revive your heart? Get back to basics? It's so simple by.
-
So hot right coast, waking up one hour earlier to
-
read your Bible. It's so hot right cost your phone
-
will be ringing because the latest news to come out,
-
and it's so important that you read it, because you
-
got exam tomorrow and you've got no time to study,
-
and you have to study.
-
How do you reconnect? Friends? It's so simple, by so hot.
-
It's so boring.
-
It's so boring, by so important. Prayer, worship, God's word
-
in our hearts, devotion. Jesus wakes up every morning every morning.
-
We all follows of Christ, right, so we should follow
-
what you dola.
-
He showed the way.
-
Every morning he wake up one hour, he pray one hour,
-
he reconnects with God.
-
He's got the Father right for the rest of the day.
-
That's why he can do the things you do. Right.
-
What about us, friends, we have the Holy spray in
-
our lives. We should go back to basics. If the
-
fruit is not showing, then we've got to fix something.
-
If we you know, because I believe that if we
-
are connected with God, if we are if we have
-
a consistent quiet time, if we are connected with God
-
in prayer, in worship, we understand humans I'll say, if
-
we have a relationship, we've got a deep relationship with God,
-
you will change friends. He will not allow you to
-
be in your sin. He will not allow you to
-
be in your flesh. He will not allow you to
-
be angry. He will not allow you to say all
-
the things that we used to say because of our
-
past and now.
-
No, he will not allow you. Because He will heal you.
-
He will help you.
-
He will give you wisdom, He'll give you favor. He
-
will change you to be perfect when you work in him.
-
But when we don't, when we reject God, when things
-
start becoming convenient, when we take our faith lightly, then
-
a little bit hard to show the fruit, really a
-
bit hard. You know, I'm not judging anybody here in
-
like oh you you no, no, no, no, I'm helping
-
us think because we talk about revival. What is your
-
picture of revival? Do you know that a lot of
-
pictures of revival? And I remember growing up and the
-
picture of revival is well, a big stadium, all Christian?
-
What should be helen?
-
We are you man? Why I know we do all that?
-
Then after to go back home, then how shry your
-
wife complain about your boss? Back to life, back to life,
-
back to reality. So what's the benefit?
-
Okay? I get you, I get you.
-
Okay, you're telling us the indicator about revival and you
-
know how to identify if we are revived and then
-
what to do.
-
But what's the benefit? God? Benefit? And not? Go on?
-
Let me share the benefit you I got four clear benefits. Okay,
-
what's the benefit.
-
To me and my family? My family? Well, yes, your family.
-
If I'm revived in my spirit, what's the benefit if
-
I'm led by God rather than myself?
-
What is the benefit? Right? A lot of times something
-
I also think right, the shallowness.
-
Of Christians are He said, Oh you know, if I'm revival,
-
go ask me to go to Timba.
-
To reach out to the people.
-
No, friends, God doesn't want you to do something so
-
hot yet yet, naw, you got to do the simple
-
thing first. You got to reach out to your family first.
-
They're even harder than timaktu. God wants you to do
-
that first. Go on to reach out to your friends first.
-
Gods you to.
-
First thing that you experience is abundant life. How do
-
you define abundant life?
-
Oh?
-
Lo heir lo he hello sanga your year, right, that's
-
what Chinese thing. You know, abundant means more than meaning
-
a lot, to the point, can we stuff or success
-
my bank account a lot of money? Abandoned life. I've
-
heard this definition, but and I kind of like it.
-
I you know, and I hope I'm paraphrasing it correctly
-
because I heard it from my leader that real respect.
-
Abundant life is having what God wants from me and
-
experiencing what gones One wants for me in my life
-
and being fulfilled. That's abundant life. Not necessarily more money,
-
not necessary, more everything dot dot dot dot, because sometimes
-
you know what the saying, more money, more problems true,
-
not right? Something small things doesn't mean good. No, but
-
abandant life John ten ten. The teeth does not come
-
except to steal, to kill, to destroy. I have come
-
that they may have life, and they have it more abundantly. Friends,
-
when we revive, we experience abundant life. Right, your life, women,
-
you're so boring anymore? You know your wom you're so
-
dragging anymore? Now you're feeling drag Ela put God in
-
the picture. Do you think you'd be draggy after that?
-
It'd be super exciting, right it is?
-
How so my boss.
-
You know, no by guys in the picture. If Sonny,
-
God gives you a heart to reach out to your boss,
-
you think you're boring?
-
No, very exciting.
-
Romans thirty seven says, Yet in all these things we
-
are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. How
-
many of you are gonna have a challenging week, Just
-
raise your hand and me challenging.
-
Chale chenue hey.
-
Romans eight thirty seven says, Yet in all these things
-
we are more than conquerors through Him who love us.
-
So can you first remember that God love you? And
-
however challenging your week is gonna be, you can conquer.
-
Is it gonna be boring? Are you dreading that meeting?
-
You better be excited, man, because God loves you. You
-
know He loves you so much. You're gonna conquer the meeting.
-
He will give you the insight, He will lead you.
-
But you gotta ask him. If you don't pray, how
-
you're gonna know what to do. If you don't read
-
the word, how you're going to know how to act?
-
If you don't have devotion you've got, how is he
-
gonna speak to you? Because you might be closer to
-
the devil than to God. Ooh, which voys are you
-
listening to? Next thing? You have benefit or and I
-
really love this benefit. Second Tassonian Street sixteen says, now
-
made a lot of peace himself, Give you peace always
-
in every way. The Lord be with you all. You
-
know how important piece is in our life. It's so important,
-
especially in today's day in age right where mental health
-
is a major issue.
-
It is very suffering to live in that.
-
No emotionally, I can tell you that, right, and my
-
I don't know, maybe it's me la a very very
-
sensitive to this nowadays that I want piece in my
-
life at all times. So I'm very scared of drama now,
-
not to say that I am not afraid of it
-
because I'm not a very confrontational, but I don't like
-
it because it's like I've already had enough drama when
-
I was young. I don't want to live the rest
-
of my life with drama. Right, last time we were
-
in younger, you and your advice people, right, and this son,
-
probably you're better catch this a you know, advise them
-
and then they disagree. And then now last time, I'm
-
like a peace, don't lie, You're gonna last time I
-
will work hard for it, you know, to get you
-
to agree in Nawa or ala. Do you suffer then
-
you come back? Okay, I don't want to say much.
-
I did say what I need to say. You go
-
do right after you suffer? You cry, you are and
-
I don't wry. I won't even say I thought you so.
-
I just isn't there there there now? You're not? Right? Okay?
-
Peace in your life? Okay? Peace is so important. Amen.
-
That's the second benefit Rember benefits. Huh oh, why should
-
I want to live a life revive? First, it is abundance,
-
not abundance the way we understand, buturdnance in the way
-
God wants to give you. Second is peace in your life.
-
Are you going through a challenging time right now in
-
your life? Are you going through constant worry? When you
-
are revived in the spirit, you have peace? Right because
-
what feels your thoughts is your own thoughts? Is your
-
own worries or is God spirit? We got to learn
-
how to do these, friends, are you guys?
-
Okay?
-
Third benefit my second last son for now, I'm sure
-
there are more by toy right following God's will, being
-
led by the spray of God. Right let's read Romans
-
eight twelve seventeen says Deafore, brethren, we adapt us not
-
to the flesh, to leave according to the flesh. For
-
if you leave according to the flesh, you will die.
-
But if the spirit you put to death the deeds
-
of the body, you will live. For as many as
-
are led by the spray of God, these are sons
-
of God. For you did not receive the spray of
-
bondish again to fear by receive the spirit of adoption,
-
by whom we cry out Abbah, Father, the spray himself
-
best witness without spirit, that we are children of God.
-
And if by children, then heirs heirs of God, and
-
join heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him,
-
that we may also be glorified together. Galatians five sixteen
-
eighteen says I say, then walk in the spirit, and
-
you shall not fulfill the loss of the flesh. For
-
the flesh lost against the spirit, and the spirit against
-
the flesh. And these are contrary to one another, so
-
that you do not do the things that you wish.
-
But if you're led by the spirit, you're not under
-
the law. If you're led by the spirit, you're not
-
under the law. Wow, above the law? Did I read
-
that correctly?
-
I think I did. Whether you led by Are you.
-
Led by the law or under the law, let by
-
your own flesh, or are you led by the spirit
-
that came from the one who wrote the law. That's
-
why you're above law, not because the law is not there,
-
but you're a birth law because you won't break it
-
because you're led by the spirit. You'll catch that because
-
God is the one that mixes righteous. Why follow God's will?
-
Designing small for the young people? I think once we
-
reach a certain age, we don't really worry about purpose,
-
worry about the end of our lives and all. But
-
when you're younger, you or what am I gonna do
-
it with my life? Or what I'm gonna study? What
-
I'm gonna work? What am I gonna do? But I
-
don't want to do? Why am I got called for? Well,
-
if you are revived in your heart and if you're
-
following God's will step by step, day by day, then
-
you you will have purpose in your life.
-
And that's powerful.
-
You know, if you just work for money and there's
-
no purpose, people can't lose steam one no matter how
-
much money you earn. I've seen that many many times.
-
That's that purpose is so important. But the only way
-
you'll know your purpose, friends, if that is that you
-
follow God's will. Are we following and walking in the
-
will of God? How do we follow and what in
-
the way of God? If we're walking and being led
-
by the spirit. If you're being revived, you know, how
-
are you going to do that? So revival is important.
-
One last benefit. You remember talking about benefits, right, So
-
I hope I convince you. One last benefit, which I
-
really like and I haven't seen it fully yet, is.
-
Science and wonders. You will see science and wonders.
-
Because x Chapter two vers for the Tree says, then
-
fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs
-
were done through the apostles. Jesus couldn't do the things
-
he did back in his hometown because he was not
-
recognized by them. He was recognized by them as the
-
cup the Son, and they couldn't believe. They couldn't believe
-
that he was the son of God. They couldn't believe
-
that this guy that used to play with me in
-
my backyard was the one that was gonna save mankind.
-
They couldn't believe so he couldn't do much there, but
-
do everywhere else where Christ walked where they were anticipating.
-
Even the lady with the issue of blood.
-
She was being strong, you know, and He's like, all
-
I need to do is touch the helm of his
-
garment and I'll be healed. What does it tell us, friends?
-
He tells us of intention, It tells us of expectation.
-
It tells us that all we need to seek God
-
is to seek him, because the Word says, knock and
-
the door be opened to you.
-
Ask and you'll be answered. Seek and you will find.
-
It's just that it is that simple. What is revival
-
in our church? Believe?
-
We believe that revival really starts with the heart, not
-
with a big band, not with her. I mean, all
-
those things are good, can I be honest? It is good,
-
It feels good and all and can God use that can?
-
But what happens after day is important.
-
No.
-
I remember when I was growing up and we used
-
to look forward to to church camps or camps, you know,
-
because you get very on fire for God. And I
-
remember a few camps later, I was also convicted.
-
You got a cam.
-
You you know what camps work. And by the way,
-
I will put a picture XPJA. We are planning a
-
retreat soon in September, right, Okay, I'm gonna get doctor
-
Jason Cours.
-
He's the one day's planning it.
-
So please September, try to keep your days, you know, open,
-
right one weekend we will go right and we work
-
the details aut right now and we'll go a bit further,
-
a bit go and look at the beach.
-
Right.
-
But Cam's work because there is focused on as mission
-
treat White. Why why oh I can see miracles in
-
Mission Treap but not back here. Well, it's as ressing,
-
but it's just focused. It's just to prepare for Mission
-
Treap because it's an actual thing that you have to
-
go through and be careful of.
-
You gotta really prepare our.
-
Hearts camp, same thing three days, two nights, four days,
-
three nights only church you need.
-
You know.
-
Don't you think I'll move? I think I'll move. Does
-
that mean that God's only God only moves in Cam?
-
No, what does it mean?
-
It means that God will move when there's expectation. God
-
will move when's focused. God will move when we're hungry
-
for him. Does that mean that God can move on Sunday?
-
He can, but in our hearts expectant because if you
-
read the signs and wonders, then fear came upon every soul,
-
and science and wonders were done through the pos I'm
-
not sure that I'm confident to say Sunday everybody will
-
be like, ooh, let's get with the programming. I'm not sure,
-
but maybe it comes all easier because we're all there, right,
-
you're not distracted.
-
But friends, my point was Camp's all good.
-
Events like this are all good, But if it just
-
gives you the height and it doesn't transform you, and
-
what's the meaning of it. We may commitments that the alter,
-
but we don't mean it. There's no follow up, there's
-
no follow through. But when we talk about revival, it's
-
not just a revover in an event. No, it's a
-
revolve of the heart. No, friends, it is the revove
-
of a heart. Then, no matter what happens after that,
-
no matter how crazy things get, we still know how
-
to call upon our God to help us. Revival can
-
happen here today. Right now, as I think about this,
-
I ask myself, do I have a revived heart? I
-
would like to say I have, and I don't need
-
to have a big event. I don't need a concert.
-
I don't need.
-
A joke about your white man Ben to come minister
-
to me. I can be revived in my room. I
-
can revive when I come here for pray. I can
-
be revived when I do my quiet time. That's what
-
we're talking about. That's what we're talking about, because those
-
kind of revivels really mean something because you are changed daily.
-
You progress daily. Yeah, sometimes you fall. Some nights, you
-
make a mistakes. Then you go back to God and
-
say God, I'm so sorry, and then tomorrow get better.
-
God help me in this area of my life, and
-
then move forward. God, show me the way I'm gonna
-
marry soon, show me a whish hall. I'm gonna have
-
a baby soon. What is their names? Have you even
-
considered things like that? Lord, there's two jobs, yess I do.
-
We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
