  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Today.

  4. We're gonna talk a little bit about fasting. I'm want

  5. to go deeper a little bit into it. When I

  6. was young, uh well, when my first I remember the

  7. first time I fasted. It was right before SBM and

  8. then someone told me that, oh, you know, if you

  9. want something from God, you fast, right. So with my

  10. simple understanding, I like, oh, okay, then I will fast

  11. and I'll be serious about it. So I decided on

  12. a two month fast white two months, I don't know,

  13. maybe because I'll say young thing, I could do it.

  14. And then I decided on a Daniel fast you know,

  15. means I don't see Daniels anyone. Daniel here, right, go on, Daniel, Okay,

  16. It means I have to avoid Daniels. Don't know Daniel

  17. fast basically means it's like, ah, you know Danny and

  18. the Bible, he fastered, you needed vegetables and grew better. Unfortunately,

  19. doing grow better during that time. So two months, you know,

  20. and I fasted for my SPM because I wanted to

  21. do well, you know, you know, because I wasn't really

  22. an a student. You know I was okay student, not

  23. a students. All my other friends or A students and

  24. you know I only get a so I fast. But

  25. I tell you the interesting thing about fast Thing, even

  26. though it started with such a desire, was that as

  27. you do it, you learn different things. So one of

  28. the things I learned during fast thing is that you know,

  29. the moment you say you want to abstain from something,

  30. somehow the temptation is more one. For example, I said,

  31. you know, I'm going to do it, Daniel fast and

  32. then suddenly, suddenly I don't know why. Out of all

  33. the years you get invited for birthday party, is more

  34. often during the fast. You know in the past you're

  35. doing you know why must during fast and write? And

  36. then I invite now mine know they only have KFC.

  37. I tell you, I was like, oh, tough band, how

  38. do you how do you fast? When so I went

  39. for the birthday party because you don't miss out but

  40. don't eat long. And then when they ask you, you're

  41. like and then you know you know when you were younger,

  42. so teaser like, hey, you know if you first don't

  43. have away fast thing, you know you know because you

  44. know God, don't order that then with my little understanding

  45. like oh, I don't say, you know, maybe shared some friends.

  46. But let me tell you the interesting thing that came

  47. out of the two months I started fasting for my

  48. SPM results. I ended the fast getting closer to God

  49. and realizing that the results was not the main thing.

  50. Not to say it's not important, but it wasn't the

  51. main thing. So it was very interesting journey that I had,

  52. you know, because I mean, this is the wonderful thing

  53. about God that I'm realizing now is that even though

  54. we may have started our journey, whether it's our fast

  55. or to do something, and we might not we might

  56. not have good intentions get I would say, might not

  57. have the best intentions or might not have the most

  58. how to say, holy intentions. But if we do it

  59. earnestly with our hearts, if we really commit ourselves to

  60. the Lord, the Lord will change our hearts. And that

  61. is something we know about U turn. You know, of course,

  62. we we share the testimonies about how people will experience God.

  63. You know, in fasting, you will experience God's hand in

  64. your life. You're praying for something, you're believing something we

  65. always say, you know, so it sometimes feels like, oh,

  66. you know, you mean I want to get something on it.

  67. I first, yes and no, I would say yes and no.

  68. You know, you might start that way, but you might

  69. end in a different path, and you might end in

  70. a path that God wants you to be in the beginning.

  71. You get what I mean.

  72. So I say it's wonderful because we are human beings

  73. that are full of flaws. We we think about things

  74. you shouldn't think. We do things you shouldn't think, you know.

  75. Just now, I know during the prayer it might seeing

  76. a bit serious, and then I don't know, maybe it's

  77. something you think that I'm asking for, you know, people

  78. to repent. That's why nobody come up earlier on you know, repent,

  79. you know.

  80. And you'll be safe.

  81. I just want to give you the heart behind what

  82. I shared, because when I read the scripture, it says

  83. that God's hand is not shortened, meaning that he can

  84. reach where you are at right now. And it also

  85. says that his ears are not here. It means he

  86. doesn't close his ears to your Christ. But what's stopping

  87. the blessing from happening, not him, you know, if he's

  88. not stopping the blessing rapping. Then what's stopping the blessing happening?

  89. Can I give you a secret? And that's a secret.

  90. Sometimes we are stopping the blessing from happening. Sometimes we

  91. are the ones who who I don't know, haven't committed

  92. ourselves to God. Sometimes we are the ones who treat

  93. him like Santa Claus when he's not. We are the

  94. ones because we are flawed. Friends, God is not flawed.

  95. He never makes a mistake, He's always perfect, he's always good.

  96. He wants the best for us. The question is us

  97. most of the time. That's why the commitment is us.

  98. You know, if you study the Bible, if you read

  99. when the first covenant was made, do you know that

  100. God made a covenant with If I'm not on the

  101. second Abraham right or no, Jacob, he made a covenant

  102. with himself. You know He didn't make a comment with

  103. Jacob because you know Jacob will fail.

  104. One.

  105. That's the God we serve. Do you know that? Do

  106. you know that the God we serve knows that you

  107. will fail? And because he knows that I will fail,

  108. you will fail and all of us fail because we

  109. are flawed. He he he gives us a sure fire

  110. plan on which is Jesus, because Jesus never failed. Isn't

  111. that wonderful to have such a God? But then I

  112. always think, then what is our response at the end

  113. of the day, what should we be the one to do.

  114. I love Elisha's testimony, Okay, nothing against not going to

  115. see doctor again.

  116. I will say, go see doctor.

  117. I will be like Jahan and say worried if my

  118. wife is in trouble and say please.

  119. But the amount of faith to say is okay.

  120. And I'm sure Alisha has wisdom to say if next

  121. day she's still paining, she will probably go and selah right,

  122. I'm sure, I'm sure, Okay, I don't see she the

  123. next twoman She's like, no, I'm still you know.

  124. I think she's a wisdom.

  125. But the mount of faith to say, okay, God, I'm

  126. gonna try you. Knowing that God would come true for

  127. her is amazing. And now she has the testimony right

  128. because faith is the substance right of things hope for.

  129. But faith is also the thing that pleases God because

  130. I remember sharing it before that faith. When we talk

  131. about having faith, we are not just having faith in

  132. the situation. We're not just having We're having faith in

  133. a person. We're having faith in a God. That's why

  134. it's powerful. That's why we need to remember that we

  135. are not just living in the natural. We are living

  136. in the supernatural. Friends, We're not just Yes, all the

  137. problems we face are natural. That's reality in life. All

  138. the challenges we face natural. Not enough money, I'm not well.

  139. You know, my parents don't like me. You know, my

  140. parents don't agree with the things I want to do

  141. in my life. You know, I'm not famous enough. You know.

  142. Everybody's these all natural things, friends, But we believe in

  143. a supernatural God. We believe in a God that can

  144. and snap finger literally and give you all your house desires.

  145. That's the God we believe in. I want to give

  146. us that perspective this morning. I want to give us

  147. that perspective as we take on our you turn prayer

  148. and fast, because the call for you turn prayer and

  149. fast is not just a call to receive things. The

  150. call for you turn prayer and fast is the call

  151. to turn back our hearts to God.

  152. We're going to study a bit about it today, you guys.

  153. Okay, So the title of the message is a surrendered

  154. heart As I think about fast things I think about,

  155. you know, this period we're in, what is the most

  156. important I always try to think about things this way.

  157. What is the most important thing for me? Because sometimes

  158. there's just too much, too much things to think about,

  159. to complicate that, you know, I want to live life simple, right,

  160. don't want to overcomplicate life, you know, because there's just

  161. too many things ready. You know that, Lah, you know

  162. everything Lah is too complicated? Friends, are you tired? I'm

  163. very tired. Sometimes I get really I just don't keep

  164. things simple. And I always think about what is the

  165. bottom line?

  166. You know.

  167. The people say, if you ask this question when they

  168. have problems, what is the bottom line? What's the most

  169. important thing? Think about it. You're stuck in this situation,

  170. what is the most important thing? Because we get worried

  171. about a lot of things are unimportant. We get stressed

  172. out about a lot of things are unimportant, which waste

  173. our time. When we can actually think about what's the

  174. bottom line and work towards settling the bottom line. And

  175. once you work towards settling the bottom line, everything else

  176. will be fine. Does that make sense?

  177. So?

  178. Isaiah fifty eight. When I was doing my first fast,

  179. a lot of people advice. You want to learn about

  180. fast out read isa fifty eight. And I remember reading

  181. it when I was young, and I thought they don't

  182. understand it. Now a bit older, understand a little bit more. Okay,

  183. we're going to read, are you guys. Okay, So Isaiah

  184. fifty eight says, cry a loud spare not lift up

  185. your voice like a trumpet. Tell my people their transgression

  186. and the house of Jacob their sins.

  187. Yet they seek me daily, and they like to know

  188. my ways.

  189. As a nation that did righteousness and did not for

  190. sake the ordinance of God, their God, they ask of

  191. me the ordinances of justice. They take their line in

  192. approaching God. Why have we faster? They say, And you

  193. have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls? And

  194. you have taken no notice. In fact, in the day

  195. of your fast, you'll find pleasure and exploit all your liberals.

  196. Okay, I'm gonna pause here. So it's very interesting.

  197. It starts with this. It starts with very positive stuff.

  198. It start saying, Hey, the people are doing their thing right.

  199. They are fasting, They're following God's ordinances, They're seeking God.

  200. Isn't that good? Isn't that what we're doing here. We

  201. are all doing. You turn, most of us at least right,

  202. and we say we're seeking God. Very interesting. And yet

  203. there's a complaint. Right turn and say, don't complain. I'm

  204. not complaining. They say, why have we fasted? And you've

  205. not heard? How many of you feel that way this morning?

  206. Why I fast?

  207. Ready?

  208. Are nothing happened? One huh, my brother? Here, every you

  209. turn God testimony.

  210. Right.

  211. All you need to do is first one day and

  212. then circlet thing. Ready, you know, every turn testimony. But me,

  213. I fast so many yesterday I do it? What is wrong?

  214. Am I doing something wrong? Am I not? Do I

  215. need fast?

  216. More? Do I need to go? You know? Do or

  217. for the day? Fast? Maybe twenty one day? It is

  218. not enough? That was the question that came right.

  219. So the one thing that we can understand from this

  220. that the lot revealed, and let me read on it

  221. says here number four okay verse for indeed you fast

  222. for strife and debate and to strike with the list

  223. of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this

  224. day to make your voice heard on high.

  225. Okay. So God revealed what he got revealed.

  226. God, you didn't reveal the practice got revealed what is

  227. in their hearts? You fast for strife and debate, and

  228. you fast to what do you say? You fast to

  229. strike with the fist of weakedness? And God said, don't

  230. fast this way. So you realize already really quickly when

  231. you read these few scriptures that first it's not just

  232. about the act. It's not just about or in fasting.

  233. So infast thing that you should see, right, it's not

  234. about the act, friends, it's not about the act. Because

  235. the people they fasted as an act, they suffered and sacrifice.

  236. But what was different the condition of their hearts. That

  237. was the key thing. They did the right thing, They

  238. followed the right the rules, but the condition of their

  239. hearts was not there. Right, Let let's go a little

  240. bit deeper into fast thing because first thing is not

  241. a new thing in the Bible. When you read Isaiah,

  242. the people have fasted many times and God has asked

  243. for fast.

  244. Right.

  245. So in the Bible people fast as spiritual discipline. Okay,

  246. that's what they fast asked the first to do a

  247. few things, to humble themselves before God, to demonstrate repentance.

  248. It's a demonstration of repent. Lord, we repent. We have

  249. to see inside, right, so I do it outside. So

  250. when they first they normally were set cloth you know,

  251. sect cloth right, the ganni sect cloth they'll put ash.

  252. On their head. Were drama.

  253. It's a same aim bad you and uh cosmetics as

  254. morning Okay, they fast to seek divine guidance and also

  255. to show intense morning and reliance on God. See intense

  256. morning and reliance on God. That's why they fast. Okay,

  257. That's why they fast. So they suffered. Let me simplify

  258. it for us. It means that they just did it

  259. for the sake of doing it, and yet we see

  260. their condition of their hearts. Unfortunately. That's why the people

  261. did that. Why am I sharing this with us this morning?

  262. As we go into twenty one days, Please check your heart,

  263. go out. I cannot see your no, only you know

  264. your heart. The actions cannot see you one. So check

  265. your heart. Lord, am I am I? Am I doing it?

  266. We got no point fast thing during the act if

  267. you don't check your heart, Say God, am I surrendering

  268. to you?

  269. Am I relying on you? Amen?

  270. Because like say, just now twenty one days a prayer

  271. is a time where you turn back to God. That's

  272. why I call it. You turn you turn back to God.

  273. Maybe you know, may practice you've been going. Although we

  274. might think, oh, but then aren't I serving God? Am

  275. I doing the right right things? Yeah, that's why they're

  276. all doing And so they were pursuing God, but where

  277. were their hearts? They were doing the right things, saying

  278. the right things right, practicing the right things, but where

  279. were their hearts? So our twenty one days XPJ is

  280. a time where you turn back to God and say God,

  281. let's take a what, let's take a pit stop, let's fee,

  282. stop all the plans, pe stop everything, and say, Lord,

  283. I want to come back to you. Right, you turn

  284. in what well in our lives? You turn in our decisions,

  285. You turn in our love and commitment to Christ. Okay,

  286. I'm going to ask a tough question your do have

  287. to ask you just thing about it? How many of

  288. you here can confidently come and say that the decisions

  289. you've made since the beginning of the year until now,

  290. majority of itna is God led.

  291. Or is our own self?

  292. Let something you think about right, can we can we

  293. confident we got? I also cando commonly say it's God.

  294. Let a lot of decisiones I make, you know, sometimes

  295. led through experience.

  296. You know, we just do we just decide, you.

  297. Know, the kind of thing or hopefully it's not true

  298. convenience only you know, but maybe maybe a bit hard

  299. to say.

  300. Maybe some of you here are great, you.

  301. Know, you're like, yeah, you know, you know when I

  302. wake up every morning, I ask what to do? You know,

  303. then whatever he asked, you do just to praise the lot.

  304. Please teach me how to do that, you know. But

  305. that's life. Life is tough, and that's why it's important

  306. to recognize a time and we can say, Lord, I

  307. want to do a bit stop. I want to a

  308. health check, I want to a touch base that you

  309. cannot mean ideally we should touch base most of the time, now,

  310. you know. Can I ask it even deeper question? And again,

  311. think about just thinking about it. How many of you

  312. us he are red confident to think about the major

  313. decisions in our life that we have made or are

  314. going to make, or are making. It's also God led God,

  315. lets no not a sled, not parents, let not grandparents,

  316. Let not what the market. Let I'm talking to a

  317. lot of young adults and all and a lot of

  318. people are telling me about the market, about the war,

  319. about the patrol. Friends, I might sound fully saying this

  320. by faith, God is still good. God is still in

  321. control no matter what happens. God is still king of

  322. your life.

  323. Chill. Can you trust it not? Or do you trust

  324. the news? Right? So think about it? You turn? What's

  325. the significance of you turn? Friends? Be surrendered to God? Right?

  326. That's what we did, right? All Christ are surrendered to you?

  327. Or this song just came to my mind. Lord, I

  328. offer my life to you, everything I've been true, Use

  329. it for your glory. Lord, I offer my praise. Do

  330. you lifted my.

  331. Praise to you? With it as a living sacrifice?

  332. Even to know the thing about living sacrifice that I

  333. learned from Pascna, Living sacrifice will move from the altar,

  334. and no living sacrifice the sacrifice living, you will run

  335. away and to tie up the tie up the sacrifice.

  336. And it's a concern binding. But friends, we didn't we

  337. surrender our hearts to Christ? Didn't We didn't we surrender

  338. our heart to him? So what is a strendered heart?

  339. Let let's go deeper into that. What is the strengthed heart?

  340. Okay? Right? What does it mean to strengthers something? Strender?

  341. I give up blah. I think surrender is a little

  342. bit different and give up. I think it's a little bit.

  343. It is almost the same, but it's different. It depends

  344. what you're giving up, but it's different.

  345. Right.

  346. Let me give you some scenarios, okay, like surrender, Okay,

  347. like how you surrender yourself to your spouse for those

  348. they are married, right, some of the people here not

  349. convinced my spouse then was strendered to me or so?

  350. You know?

  351. Right?

  352. Yeah, but no, but when.

  353. You say, you know, in sickness and your health to

  354. death to a spot, you know, you kind of strender

  355. your life to your spouse, right, No, I only strender

  356. my life to Jesus. Yes, yes, that's first lab first,

  357. but after that it's your spouse, lave. Why do I

  358. say that? Okay, I know people say this as a joke.

  359. I don't say there as a joke.

  360. You know.

  361. Let me talk to the husbands because I don't know

  362. about the wife. Okay, husbands, have you you've had this

  363. experience before, right when you're like chilling your friends talking

  364. and then someone suggested something like hey, you know, not

  365. your friends like me and you fellowship in your homes

  366. and then your wife not there, and then someone say, hey,

  367. you know, let's go hang out, you know, let's go,

  368. let's go play counters, right, bust the mat. And then

  369. he's like, let me let me call my wife first.

  370. Then one of the singers guys say, huh, asking from

  371. the permission now, right, when you're a singer, you're more freedom. Actually, friends,

  372. it's not asking for permission. We've committed our life to

  373. another person. Really have to align like Cory not Cray not.

  374. So don't see that way. Don't see that as a bondage.

  375. It's not bondage, right, isn't that strender? You strender your

  376. life to your spouse, right, sort of strender trying to

  377. get connection here or maybe maybe just maybe for those

  378. who are not married, you strender your life to your families.

  379. I know some families here are very patriarchal or matriarchal.

  380. Oh big words.

  381. You know, whatever Grandma says, whatever mom says, whatever Dad says,

  382. you know, that's the that's because they're like God like that. Okay,

  383. I know I'm making jokes. I'm not need insulting anybody here,

  384. but I just don't give you the perspective, the understanding

  385. of what it means. By strender. Okay, you strender, you know?

  386. Or that said is dola? Mom said it's good. I'm

  387. not I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Please don't

  388. go against your parents. But you know, when you are

  389. thirty years old and you're a man, you still listening

  390. to your parents.

  391. Are sorry.

  392. I'm not against parenthood, but men really all let the

  393. sun in the thirty sideline, the really legal ash right.

  394. They want to mess up there and mess up then

  395. they learn now, you know, but yeah, strender or maybe maybe.

  396. During this sign you can get we strender to our boss's.

  397. My boss say it means I have to I surrender

  398. my boss, my boss, my boss said this I have

  399. to do.

  400. I have to do. Friends, let me give you a perspective.

  401. Wish someone shared me a long time ago, and sometime

  402. people come complain about work to me and I'll say, actually,

  403. if you think about it now, if you quit your

  404. job today, right, all these problems that.

  405. You're having now will not be a problem career.

  406. If you quit your job today, all the problems that

  407. you have your boss doesn't affect you any more.

  408. Correct or not?

  409. I mean, yes, of course you'll create other problems like

  410. no pay and all that kind that is a different problem.

  411. But the boss problem. No, Mama, bring perspective. But we surrender.

  412. We strender, or maybe I hope not some of us here,

  413. we strender to our situation. Oh I'm like that, Lah, forever,

  414. You'll be like that. I surrender to my situation. I

  415. surrender to this thing that I didn't choose to. So

  416. sometimes I surrender. Can I give you another alternative? Besides

  417. all these things I just said, you guys kind of

  418. understand what stander means. Right, And maybe for those who

  419. are still young and you haven't had much life experience,

  420. you surrendered to your parents' lah. Right, that is one

  421. way of surrender. It's not bad surrender. He's just surrender, okay,

  422. because you're under the authority and all. But despite all

  423. the challenges freends that is happening, let me present this way.

  424. God is good, right, God is good All the time

  425. I saw a real that they is so funny, so

  426. very funny.

  427. Real he's a thief going to the house.

  428. And then he was like, you know, looking for the

  429. owner because you want to kidnap him. And then he

  430. saw a cross and I couldn't find the owner. And

  431. then he said God is good. And then the owner said,

  432. all the time then caught him.

  433. It's quite funny real.

  434. If God is good, if he died for all sins,

  435. if he's all powerful or knowing, if he is the

  436. creator of the heaven city earth, if he's the author

  437. and the finish of faith, if he's the cat, the

  438. owner of the ket of a thousand. Hey, I'm using

  439. all scripturenal you know if he is, you know his

  440. mercies on you every morning. All these all these words

  441. are means something on our friends. It's not just it's

  442. not a mantra, it's not a positive.

  443. It means something. Right. They were not just strender to.

  444. Him, but I really strangded to Yes, you did. You

  445. made a decision to follow Jesus. But do you know

  446. that strender is a daily thing. Do you know that

  447. you're not there yet? That's why we have problems.

  448. We worry. That's why the Bible can.

  449. Teach Menthew six City three see ethers the Kingdom of God,

  450. and all shall be added unto you.

  451. That's why i'm you need to do you turn every.

  452. Year, because if we're all perfect day, then don't need

  453. you turn. We just go heaven now everywhere we want God,

  454. you know, leelujah? Every day everywhere it is like that,

  455. no right, life, right is tough?

  456. Right?

  457. Why not surrender to God? Let me make a proposal.

  458. Why not surrender to God today? Why strender to the worry?

  459. Why strender to the hey? Why strender to your own personality?

  460. Why why strender to your past?

  461. Oh?

  462. I'm like that one heaven, you surrendered to yourself. When

  463. we say things like that, why not surrender to God?

  464. And why not trust him? Let's read scripture a guys, Okay,

  465. is it a fast that I've chosen verse five?

  466. A day for men to afflict his soul?

  467. Is it to down his head like a bulrush, and

  468. to spread out sack cloth and ashes? Would you call

  469. this a fast and acceptable day of the Lord? Is

  470. this not the fast that I have chosen? To lose

  471. the bonds of weakness, to undo the heavy burdens, to

  472. let the oppress go free, and that you break everyal?

  473. Is it not to share your break with the hungry,

  474. and that you bring to your house the poor you're

  475. cast out when you see the naked, that you cover

  476. him and not hide yourself from your own flesh. Then

  477. your light shall break forth like the morning, while we

  478. all love this, and your healing shall spring forth speedily,

  479. and your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of

  480. the Lord shall be your rad God, Isaiah chapter five versa.

  481. Only it tells us.

  482. That the fast that God chose, it's not the fast

  483. that we should like or we should think about selves.

  484. It's not the kind of fast you know. This the

  485. fast in the beginning, it's already selfish.

  486. One me me, me, me, me, me, me, me me,

  487. I want this, I want this, I want this.

  488. But no, the fast that God has chosen is a

  489. fast that aligns to his heart.

  490. Why do I say that? Because he said this reg culearly.

  491. To lose the bonte of weakness, to undo the heavy burdens,

  492. to let the oppress go free, and that you break

  493. every yal you want to experience that now.

  494. Any of you here.

  495. Still dealing with fast addictions, any of you here still

  496. dealing with change in your mind? Friends, you can break

  497. free today. That's the power of the God that we

  498. you know, our God that we serve. You don't have

  499. to live like that anymore. That's what I believe in.

  500. It is a fast that aligns to God's heart. And

  501. what is God's heart. God's heart is always about others, others, others,

  502. not self, but others. Think about it. God doesn't just

  503. think about himself. He doesn't think about hisself. He always

  504. thinks about others. That's how God works others. He wass

  505. thinks about us. He wass thinks about the loss he was.

  506. Things about others, right, That's what he was thinks about.

  507. And this is another promise. God always wants to meet

  508. the needs of his children. Who is his children? Look

  509. at a neighbor, I'm his children. Look at a neighbor,

  510. I'm also his child. You don't sound convinced. Come on,

  511. let's do that again. Look at the left neighbor and say, hey,

  512. I'm a son of God. I'm a child of God.

  513. Look at an say I don't believe you. You're not convinced. So, friends,

  514. can I make the argument to say that a strendered

  515. heart to God will display God's character.

  516. In your life?

  517. Because if you strender your heart to our Father in heaven,

  518. wouldn't you look more like him? Think about it? Think

  519. about it? Okay, think about it. And the wonderful thing

  520. is that God also promises a few things.

  521. Let me read on.

  522. Okay, he says here verse eight again, Then your light

  523. shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring

  524. fall speedily, and your rightchesters shall go before you. The

  525. glory of the Lord shall be your red. God means

  526. your friend is taken care of you, and your back

  527. is taken care of You know, that's less powerful, you know,

  528. you know what means by your back is taking care

  529. of your red God means that now all the things

  530. that you cannot predict, a god.

  531. So couthy really for you. Isn't it cool?

  532. All the stuff that you know plan haven't planned yet,

  533. God as accounting for you. You know, as I think

  534. about the time where I had to go for a stand,

  535. and that's like twenty two in three, right, there are

  536. a lot of things I couldn't predict and I could

  537. have lost my life, honestly, like I've not been here ready, right,

  538. But as I think about it, I tell you it's

  539. just God's mercy on my life that I'm still standing here,

  540. you know, And I think I'm sure before that, you know, Oh, no,

  541. per Sevy, what you well, I can tell you my

  542. own foolishness are basically eat to no abandonment, okay, And

  543. you if photos a norm last time, you know how

  544. chab I was? Okay, Now let's chub right, wife not

  545. so happy? She said, can or heart, It's okay there,

  546. I'm gonna live longer. Okay, let's read on. Then you

  547. shall call and the Lord will answer. You shall cry,

  548. and he will say, here I am. If you take

  549. away the yoke from your midst the pointing of the

  550. figure and speaking of his friends something, you'll need to

  551. listen to this verse nine.

  552. I'm gonna read it again.

  553. Then you shall call and the Lord will answer. How

  554. many fe you like that? Whatever you pray God or say, yep,

  555. what's up? I'm listening, Jeff, I'm listening, Seling. I'm listening, Cheryl.

  556. You shall cry and he will say, here I am powerful. Right,

  557. But what's the condition if you take away the yoke

  558. from your mist? Hey, I'm going to be here, But

  559. you can see your life a lot burden, right, because

  560. your eyes are looking at the burter, not in me.

  561. The yoke is here in your life. You've got to

  562. let go of that. Right, It's still there, it's still there.

  563. I can't help you with you. I'm here, really, but

  564. but the yog is still there. But you're still looking

  565. at that the pointing of the finger and the speaking

  566. of wickedness, right, pointing a finger just means not taking ownership.

  567. Speaking of wickedness means well weakness, wickedness. La say things

  568. that you shouldn't say. Lah, you know something I think

  569. my mom did well, uh to a fault? Okay that

  570. my mom taught me. When you got nothing nice to say,

  571. don't say it until got a lot of things not

  572. nice at all. I just keep quiet and take another key,

  573. which is not good or so, because if there's injustice,

  574. as believers, we need to speak truth.

  575. Right, that's what that's our role.

  576. Don't keep quiet if that's injustice, that's the that's the

  577. thing about what we need to do.

  578. Right. Let me read on.

  579. If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy

  580. the afflicted soul, then your light shall shall dawn in

  581. the darkness, and your darkness shall be as nunda. Are

  582. you guys reading this? You want to experience your briackthruth,

  583. You gotta you gotta minister other people. You want to

  584. experience your grid truth is other people first. He's surrender first. Friends,

  585. you want to experience your breakthrough all these other things first,

  586. and the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your

  587. soul in drought and strengthen your bones. You shall be

  588. like a watered garden, and like a spring of water

  589. whose waters do not fall.

  590. Those from among you shall build always places.

  591. You shall raise up the foundations of many generations, and

  592. you shall be called. Wow. This is not quite cool one,

  593. you know, Ja won Ward like this title repair of

  594. the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in. So

  595. God promises all these promises. Let me break it down

  596. one by one. God also promises that after we surrender

  597. an aligned to him, then we will be a few things, okay,

  598. Isaiah fifty eight vers eight. He promises that we will

  599. be fulfilled and all our needs to be met. You

  600. guys like that we will be fulfilled. That means whatever

  601. you're doing right now in your life, you will be fulfilled.

  602. What's so film for this very powerful thing? You know?

  603. I realized that when you work in a company and

  604. work somewhere right after a while, there's no fulfillment.

  605. Now your equipment don't care how much they pay you.

  606. You won't stay there long.

  607. Because we've been made unique in a way that we

  608. need purpose in our life. That's the wonderful that's the

  609. crazy thing about God. He has made us all unique

  610. in a way that we need to seek for purpose,

  611. you know. And when there's no purpose, we get very frustrated.

  612. But when we follow God, we will experience his purpose

  613. and then He will fulfill our purpose and then our

  614. needs to be met. That's why if your career is

  615. your God, you will never be fulfilled. If money is

  616. your God, you will never be fulfilled. If your family

  617. is your God, you will never be fulfilled. God has

  618. to be God. Everything comes after. Then you'll be fulfilled.

  619. Then your need to be met.

  620. Amen. The second thing is Isaiah.

  621. If you said verse nine, the ability to speak to

  622. God and he will answer, What does it tell you

  623. when you read that? It tells me something very simple. Relationship.

  624. We have relationship with him. It's not just a oh God,

  625. your so far. No, it's a relationship.

  626. You know.

  627. Only someone who has relationship right when you say something,

  628. they will say, yeah, I am you know?

  629. Do you know that? Do you know that?

  630. None of you here If you don't know the person

  631. will help, the person willingly or be there for the

  632. person unless your relationship.

  633. Do you know that.

  634. Do you realize that? Do you know that God's practical

  635. that way as well? He won't see me help anybody

  636. want to know. But if you're a child, he will

  637. be there for you. Does that make sense to you?

  638. It makes sense to me, you know, I mean, okay,

  639. I mean ministry. Can I be honest us? Because you're

  640. my sheep, I'm obligated to at least be there for you, right, Uh?

  641. You know?

  642. But I also must tell you that I'm a human.

  643. If my wife called me, right, I'll be there for her.

  644. If I have to choose, my wife comes first. It's

  645. very simple one because we've got relationship and a lot

  646. of us ye are the same. And there's nothing wrong

  647. with that, right, there's nothing wrong with that?

  648. Or is it wrong? No, it's not wrong. It's normal.

  649. It's spectacal. Right.

  650. But of course, for those of us who have been

  651. called to be leaders, we don't just think about selves.

  652. We think about other people as well. That's constantly in

  653. our minds.

  654. Right.

  655. But when you think about that, when you sort of

  656. like put yourself in that situation with God, it tells

  657. you that God has relationship with us. That's why when

  658. you ask, you're confident or what you're asking for, and

  659. he will answer right.

  660. You'll get that. Well's still talking about strengthed heart. Okay.

  661. The third point here is that our situation will change

  662. from dark to light when we do the things that

  663. God cares for, right, the things that He cares for

  664. Isaiah fifty eight ten to eleven.

  665. Let's let's do that again.

  666. If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfied

  667. as click the soul, your light shadown in the darkness,

  668. Your darkness shall be as noon day. The Lord will

  669. gut you continually in and satisfy your soul in drought,

  670. strengthen your bones. You shall be like water garden, like

  671. the spring of water whose waters do not fail.

  672. So our situations will change, friends, from duck to light.

  673. And God, with the care of you, he gave the

  674. He gave the example of a water garden. It's very

  675. interesting when you think about water garden. Have you seen

  676. a garden? There's not What have you seen? Okay, I've

  677. seen lun Actually one of my plants die. Actually just

  678. want my plants. I have a pundan plan outside my

  679. house and uh panda plus quite easy to care. Right

  680. for those said no, okay, so you don't know. Okay,

  681. everybody look at me. You don't spun done.

  682. Okay.

  683. Apparently pandam plans are easier to care of. You just

  684. need to water it. But I have not been watering

  685. my pun plan and is dying lack. So my mom

  686. in law actually saved it for me. But my puna

  687. plant looked really really bad. Lah okay, But before that

  688. it was well watered because I inherited it and my

  689. mom in law did.

  690. A really good job. It looked really good, smell really good.

  691. I can cut and make desert, but then when it's

  692. not watered, looks barren. So when you strender to God,

  693. you will be like water garden, never barren, always fresh,

  694. always fruiting, not dry.

  695. Right, and God wor the care of you. He'll make

  696. sure you water you.

  697. And the fourth point I have is from Isaa Fifa,

  698. and I love this, you know, because it says that

  699. God get my interpretation of shall build always places, you

  700. shall raise up foundations of many generations. That speaks about

  701. us being established in our purpose in life.

  702. For God, and he leads us to our destiny.

  703. Right and the and the plus point for this when

  704. you think about many generations. You're not just thinking about

  705. us and ourselves. We're thinking about our future. Nicholas, Selling,

  706. Lucas and Joanna. Now they will start changing the way

  707. they think to think about the future. You know, the

  708. moment you get a child, right, it changes a lot

  709. of things on because when when you don't have a

  710. child yet, you know, let's say you're not even married yet, right,

  711. you only think about today tomorrow, right, And it's not wrong,

  712. it's just not a lot of people think about retirement

  713. and all. Then maybe later you get older, you think

  714. about retirement. But there's a different kind of thought process,

  715. right when you have future generation to consider, very different

  716. thought process. You don't just think about yourself, don't you

  717. think beyond that? No, you think like when I'm not here, how?

  718. Right?

  719. You always think when I'm not here how And it's

  720. a different kind of thought process.

  721. I would argue that it's an even more mature.

  722. Thought process when you start thinking about future when you're

  723. not around. I tell you one of the things that

  724. I'm thinking of I'm not around, Okay, let maybe a

  725. let me share a little bit what's going on in

  726. my brain.

  727. XPJ. We've been here for the teen year city.

  728. I think the ten this year, fourteen around there, twenty twelve, Right,

  729. I've got extras longer, right, And I do think like

  730. when I'm not around then how.

  731. Would the church be? Would they still continue? Right?

  732. Are the leaders ready? It's our young people ready to

  733. still trust God? Or are they going to be starry

  734. eyed and jump after the new shiny thing that comes

  735. their way, whatever it is. Or are they going to

  736. be faithful to what we have as a church? Am

  737. I going to be faithful with the young people? These

  738. are thoughts about future, No, right that What must I

  739. do now so that people will continue, not just continue

  740. build a church, but continue in their faith?

  741. What can I invest now?

  742. These are a lot of big questions, right, But this

  743. is the wonderful thing about God. When we surrender to him,

  744. he will raise up the foundation. He will cause us

  745. to raise up the foundation of many generations. And when

  746. he talks about repair of the breach and restore of

  747. streets to dwell in, it is very nice to inherit

  748. something that is already perfectly one. Right, very nice buy

  749. a new car, But what about if you have a

  750. junk car or house or they say do flips, right,

  751. but you make it beautiful. That's the ability that the

  752. Lord has for us. Okay, last lap you guys, Okay,

  753. everybody like falling asleeberty.

  754. First thing, another side. If you turn okay, that's the thing.

  755. If you turn your food away from the Sabbath, from

  756. doing your pleasure on my holiday, and call the Sabbath

  757. a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and

  758. you shall honor him. Not doing your own ways, not

  759. finding your own pleasure, not speaking your own words. Then

  760. you shall delight yourself in the Lord. And I will

  761. cause you to write on the high heels of the

  762. earth and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.

  763. The mouth of the Lord has spoken once again. It's

  764. a reminder of God. Do not surrender to our own hearts,

  765. but to strender our hearts to Him. To not strender

  766. to own flesh, but to strender to Him.

  767. Amen.

  768. And the wonderful thing is the promises come after that,

  769. not before that, after the surrender. Right, everything happens after something.

  770. Everything happens after.

  771. Right.

  772. Let me give you this perspective when I when as

  773. we bring this son, uh, and I'm thinking, oh God,

  774. you're good. Right, Why must it be after Why is

  775. it conditional?

  776. Okay?

  777. Let me let me give this perspective. Of course, as

  778. I'm praying, he gave me sway. We thought it was

  779. quite cool. How many have you hear Dad's your dad's

  780. that's fatherest father's in the house?

  781. Okay? How many of you.

  782. Here have a father maybe past late father?

  783. About God? God? Godfather? Can you remember you're dead? Right? Okay?

  784. Let me ask you a very simple question.

  785. Now you think about it now, A father would reward

  786. his children after or before they.

  787. Follow his instruction? Think about it? After? Who say before?

  788. Before you follow? Hereward? Your ready? None? But nobody here right?

  789. Nobody here? Right? If we understand that? Right? What about

  790. father in heaven? Why we are asking?

  791. You know?

  792. And normally our kids will you know push us boundary?

  793. You know normala isn't it doesn't sound like a relationship

  794. between us and Father God that we push Brownie?

  795. We say, he seeh I do? Ready? You know? And

  796. that's you you?

  797. I think you can't understand, even if you're not dead

  798. and you are a child, right, you can't understand that

  799. sometimes you just want to do things so that your

  800. father can see, so that you get a reward.

  801. You don't really care whether you learn anything or not.

  802. You just want to fulfill the wishes of the dead,

  803. you know, so that you can be rewarded, because the

  804. reward is the most important thing, correct, right? Do you

  805. know that your father in heaven is not interested in

  806. the reward, but he's interested in your maturity? So this

  807. thing is not unfair. In fact, this thing is for

  808. our good. Making the choice first to surrender to him

  809. is for own good. Yes, God is good, but he's

  810. so good that he doesn't want us to be foolish

  811. and destroy ourselves by pursuing after things and asking for

  812. rewards and gifts and all these things, and then later

  813. your destroyers. Do you know what happens to a child

  814. that has no consequences and only have reward, that don't

  815. need to work hard? And what happens to a child

  816. all of us no sport? What a word do you

  817. use on a child? Know that they're spot quite? Say

  818. it right to get that? So let us not be

  819. sport kids. Let us be mature kids. Amen, Let us

  820. experience God and have a relationship with him. Because God

  821. is not just interested in blessing us, He's more interested

  822. in a transformed life.

  823. That is what He's interested in that problem.

  824. You are going through today, the challenge you're going through today,

  825. the different things that is irking you.

  826. He's interested in your transform life.

  827. That you become more like Him, that you become more

  828. I use Christian word first, and I use normal, more holy,

  829. That you become more righteous, Okay. I like it, that

  830. you become more patient, that you become more compassionate, that

  831. you become more kind, that you become more like Christ,

  832. that your minds change to be more like him. That

  833. is what God wants, and then he will take care

  834. of everything else. That is how far in heaven he's

  835. so awesome. Yes we go through challenging times. Yes we

  836. go to the difficult and something we don't understand. And

  837. the only thing we need to do is say, is Lord,

  838. I surrender to you. Lord, I surrender to you.

  839. Lord.

  840. Please come take over lot, Come help me. I don't

  841. want to do things my own way. I don want

  842. to decide things my own wady Lord, I want to

  843. consult you. I want to understand. One more thing I'll

  844. leave to you is maturity. The thing about maturity is

  845. that when you are mature in a certain area, you

  846. don't really need to go back to the already. Right,

  847. once you graduate from being in your pants, very funny example,

  848. you you kind of don't have to worry about it anymore. Right,

  849. But as long as you haven't able to control your

  850. bladder yet, you know, and just treally go, then you

  851. still have to do it that.

  852. But once you do that, you real finality. That's the

  853. thing about maturity.

  854. Or I was asking I was asking a young person

  855. this question, asking me, hey, you know, ah, I'm trying

  856. to think of the what happened, but okay, you might

  857. even know who these same person, So I ask a younger, said, hey,

  858. you know, when you're lifting a bench press right now,

  859. how hey can you lift the bench press? And the

  860. young person said sixty two point six kg. I'm like,

  861. I cannot even left at heavy? Okay, I said, okay,

  862. that's your that's the like record when you started. How

  863. hey can you leave thirty kg? Still quite heavy?

  864. Yeah?

  865. I said, how long do you take you from sixty

  866. two g g to sorry, thirty kg to sixty two

  867. About two and a half years? I said, it gets easier, right,

  868. that's like maturity. Once you overcome something immaturity, you don't

  869. have to go back ready, But why do we The

  870. question is why am I still stuck at the thirty

  871. kg bench press? Heaven Matula's sma as that. So then

  872. have to mature, then have to transform law, then have

  873. to move forward, because that's what the stranded life would

  874. bad food. Amen, thanks so much, very serious? Everybody like

  875. so serious. So, friends, as we go through our twenty

  876. one days of brand fast, there are a few encouragements

  877. I have for us. First encouragement is repentance. Really friends,

  878. don't fight id la. If really do something wrong, say

  879. so reala. If really need to come clean to God's

  880. come clean to him la Yeah.

  881. Yeah.

  882. If you need extra point and help, please ask your

  883. homes ask your homes leader, ask your hole leader, get

  884. support us, your spouse, get people to be around you.

  885. Don't do it alone.

  886. Second thing is don't trust yourself so much. First, repent,

  887. come to him. Second, don't trust yourself because we don't

  888. know a lot of things. You don't know, you don't know.

  889. I also don't know a lot of things. I keep

  890. telling myself. I don't trust myself. I rather ask or

  891. advice speak. And of course I'm mature. I move forward

  892. in life. I've grown to a place where I can

  893. advise others, but I still don't trust myself. I still

  894. don't trust my own emotions when it comes to my

  895. own things. I still seek help, whether it's through my

  896. discapperture relationship, whether it's constantly praying and asking God for

  897. a confirmation.

  898. I don't rush into things. You turn is a good

  899. time to do that, to come back to him.

  900. And I say, okay, God, I've been making decisions all

  901. this while this area I say, don't touch this area,

  902. I say, don't touch this thing.

  903. No, I want to.

  904. I want to strender all to you. Lot take over,

  905. because I know when I strender to you, it'll all

  906. be good. As you promise in the world. I know

  907. when I strender to you, Yes, as fear as I

  908. know when I streandered to you, it will all be good.

  909. Our morning will shine bright like noon day. You know

  910. you will cause us to be watered like got the

  911. wear poet. Take okay, but you'll be good. And can

  912. we take this utan to really go back to God

  913. and say, God, come, let us take this spit stop

  914. And Lord, I please do that surgery in my heart.

  915. Please do that surgery my life. Please take over all

  916. these things that I think I'm doing right and just

  917. check it being scared because I can tell you, you know,

  918. you know the cool thing about what God will do

  919. something some worst we fear, and when we reveal ourselves,

  920. God's going to pick up but everything and no, do

  921. you know that He's going to be encouraged because hey,

  922. you did that well, my son, Hey you did that well,

  923. my daughter. Hey, this this thing doing, keep keep keep

  924. it up. All this other thing you need remove it

  925. la Okay, don't don't, don't, don't do ready, but the

  926. other stuff please keep. We always think about the bad,

  927. But our father in heaven is good and he wants

  928. the best words. He wants us to experience him. He

  929. wants us to grow, he wants us to be more

  930. like him. He wants us to be transformed. But it

  931. starts with a decision to strender.

  932. Amen. That's why it's called daily bread.

  933. Do you remember the prayer our Father, who are in heaven, Hello,

  934. be your name, Give us this day our deliberate forgive

  935. us our debts. As we forgive our debtors, lead us

  936. away from temptation, and deliver us from the evil one

  937. for yours. It's the power, the kingdom, glory, forever and ever.

  938. Amen. It's daily bread friends, It's daily surrender.

  939. So past happened, regular, Let's leave the past of the past,

  940. and today's going to be a new day.

  941. Amen.

  942. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
