Matthew twenty seven. Turn to Matthew twenty seven.

We're gonna we're gonna do a little bit of a

Bible study slash monologue slash. I need to ask your

imagine now, can you imagine?

Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the

temple and departed and went and hanged himself.

But the chief priest took.

The silver pieces and said it is not lawful to

put them into the treasury, because they are the price

of blood. And they consulted together and brought both with

them the Potter's field to bury strangers in. Therefore, that

field has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

You can actually go online and read up a little

bit about the field of blood. It's also called the

Potter's feel. You know why, because it's the feel that

there was a lot of clay in it, so potters

who go and take clay from it. They basically bought

that field and made it into a graveyard for strangers

and people who are criminals. When there's no family to

bury them. It's the common man's graveyard. That's what they did.

show us a different way to live, God's Kingdom's way,

but people were still interested in their own castle.

That cannot last, right, that was where they were at.

Let's read on.

Then it was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah prophets saying,

and they took the thirty pieces of silver the value

of him who was prised whom day of the children

Israel price, and gave them for the potter's field. As

the Lord directed me, Jesus, life costs thirty pieces of silver. Friends, Jesus,

life costs that so cheap. Right now, Jesus stood before

the governor, and the governor asked him, saying, so basically,

but they can't do anything because they were under occupation.

So then they decided to bring him to the Roman

it is because Jesus is going to come and destroy

all that also the thing, right, So that's what happened.

And Pilot said, hello, this guy is not because you

must also understand a pilot. It's not just anybody. You know,

it takes a certain status of a person to be

able to govern a land and to the governed justice.

And Pilot was not corrupnal you get. I mean, you've

got to understand that, right, you know, it's not just

a story. You got to understand the cultural context and

when the Lord said, he will give you someone that

Right. But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the

multitudes that they should ask for barbers to destroy Jesus.

The people who had the most stake in Jesus dying,

the people who were the main stakeholders in making sure

Jesus died so that they can retain their status and

their lifestyle and their money and blank, whatever you want

to say, and the respect of the people.

They stood up.

The people stood up, How can he? How can he

bless me?

Persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barbers and

destroy Jesus. And the governor answered and said to them,

which of the two do you want to release?

And they said barbers.

Pilots said to them, what then shall I do with

Jesus who is called Christ? The people said, let him

be crucified. He was not the Roman government or pilot

that crucified Christ. He was the people that God chose,

that said crucify Jesus. We prefer to have this notorious criminal.

And we dont want Jesus, although he healed us, although

he performed, because although he speak truth, we don't want him.

Crucify him. And then the governor said, why, what evil

has he done? But they cried out all them as saying,

let him be crucified. Have your experienced situations like this before?

There's no justice, you know, there's no justice for Christ.

What did Jesus do wrong? He'll talk about the kingdom.

Did he have an upright, nothing. He didn't do anything wrong.

This is how blameless Christ was. But he was led

astray to he was led to the slaughter right, and

the people asked him.

To be crucified. I know, not Roman.

We keep talking about the Roman crucifixion was a horrible

thing that the Romans used to remind the people. The

people know that, and they chose that for Jesus. Think

about it, Think about it, Think about what christis done. Right,

Let him be crucified. When pilots saw that he could

want to do is that we might be choosing things

that are not of God, and we will be so

stubborn to go for it and to claim that.

In my life, I've seen it happen time and time again,

people choosing things that they shouldn't choose, and then they

think it's a God thing. They're dangerous because we really

check your heart, you will know that it's.

Out of your desire. Right, you gotta be ware, haveful.

Okay, they choose and the people answered and said, he's

Magdalene was there, and the other Mary sitting opposite the tomb.

On the next day, this was yesterday, Okay. The next day.

What happened which followed the day of preparation. The chief

priests and pharisees gathered together to pilot okay, the gether together, saying, sir,

we remember the three years, said Jesus is doing his ministry.

And when he was still alive, and they used the

word deceiver. How the deceiver said, after three years he

will rise. Sorry, after three days he will rise. After

three days he will be alive again.

if he suddenly come back. See how they don't believe

that he were resurrect you know. But they believed that

the disciples were smart enough to conspire and to have

a conspiracy to steal the body so that they can

claim that Jesus is alive, and then they will start

their cult.

That's what they thought that, and then they will lose

all credibility.

So better just in case, put the guard there, okay,

so that nobody will come and steal the body. Nobody

will come and roll the store. They had contingency plan, right.

But what happened that's read on now. After the Sabbath,

as the first day of the week began to dawn,

you're talking about this morning, okay, Mary Magdalene and the

other Mary came to see the tomb, and behold, there

was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord

descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone

from the door and sat on it. His countenance was

like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow, and

the gods shook for fear of him and became like

the dead men. I will encourage you to go and

study about Roman centurions and Roman gods. Go and study

whether or not they are the type that's scare easily

one go and study. Go ahead and read up a

little bit about it. From what I understand, they are

like navy seals. Nothing will break them on. But they

ran away because they saw something real.

Right. And if you think that, oh no, this could be.

Who are the disciples?

These guys who got no money, no influence ran away

when Jesus was caught. Could they have fabricated all these things?

I guess we will never know unless we trust what

the Bible says. But the Angel answered and said to him, woman,

do not be afraid, for I know.

That you seek Jesus who was chratified.

So the Angel actually came the moment Mary Mary Mgdalene,

both the marries, I think Mary and Mary.

The Angel came, so they saw what happened. The guys

Friends, Are you guys happy that his reason? Or is

this just another normal story that pass away?

Your his reason? Do you know why Jesus rising from

the dead is significant? It is something I caught as

past the man or sharing that day. Jesus rising from

the day was significant or is still significant to us

because he gave us a way out of death. He

gave us a way out of the finality of death,

both literally and figuratively, not just literally death but also figuratively.

Death right and only God could make that way happened?

What is death? Scene equals there? Why do we say

scene equals there?

There was a statement that Pasa met shared on Friday,

which really, you know, came to me and and and

and as I think about it, as I read more,

I'm like, Yeah, do you know that God didn't create

us to experience death?

Do you know that? Do you know why I say that? Hey,

but then pass away? Now?

Do you know that God created mankind do not experience death.

If God created mankind to experience death, fa, then he

would not have created also the tree of life.

He created man, he created goden Eden.

If you read the scripture, he also created the tree

of life. And he also created the tree of the

knowledge of.

Good and evil. Right, that's why he did.

The only tree we cannot eat is the knowledge of

good and evil. And that was what God said. But

men didn't listen. And by not listening what happened? Men

brought sin into the world, right and unfortunately due to sin.

The punishment of sinning is deaf. You know what saying

is sin just means disobedience to God. Just that sin

just means this obedience to God. That's what it means.

Right.

But, friends, Jesus came and he made a way for us.

And because he came and made away, Remember, for God

so loved the world that he gave his only begotden

son that whoever believes in him shall not perish you

to sin, but have eternal life. Because God didn't create

mankind to die, but to live. Are you guys catching

that not? Are you guys catching that not? I hope

you catch that through Christ's death our sins are forgiven,

and because of that, we are redeemed from death and

we have new life, both literally and figurative figuratively. Why

do I say figuratively, because when you talk about born

again to a believer, we understand what a lot of

people don't get it. But it's figuratively born again in

this life because you have a new life idea. Your

old person has died, the old Elvin no more. But

I see the problem that we are facing now, friends,

all of us here, is that we are still on

this earth. The earth still got seeing this evil people,

a sigle, all kind of funny things happening. We haven't

gone to heaven yet where everything is sorted. We are

still transitioning. So join us of this world. That's not

the Bible saying we are so journaus of this So

we're traveling this world. You're dealing with all these things, right,

And we have a choice. Remember I say you're the

cecret sauce. We have a choice, friends, on how we

want to live our lives, and we are making that

choice on a daily basis. Do we want to follow

Christ or do we want to follow the world. We

have a choice, and we make the choice every day. Okay,

do we want to follow Christ? Then follow the world?

Right?

Let me give you a few encouragements of why you

should follow Christ more or I think you guys know

La beyond the whole scene and but see sin and

that thing you can I think you kind of can

only understand.

It if you really die.

But if you really die too lately to make the decision, right,

if you really die too late to make the decision.

So it's really hard.

So I would like to think of our life as

a probation period.

Or a testing period.

People like to test things, right, test drive La, that's

the test that lah. I would think that our life

is kind of like a testing period. Why because of

the few things that Jesus came to give us as well?

And I wrote down here five. You know I've said

this before, but let me go a little bit deeper

in it. The first thing that I believe that Christ

came to give us in terms of promise, because after

he dined across ten we can experience this. Before he died,

before we have female we cannot experience this, you know, right,

because we're.

Still under the rule of law.

The first thing that Christ I believe has given us

in terms of promise, is abundant life me Now, of course,

for those of you who have been in church for

a long time, you hear pastors preach and then you

know there's this whole thing about prosperity gospel. And you

know we think we, oh man humans are we have

such a limited imagination. Now we think that abandon life

needs a lot of money, friends, more money, more problems.

If you didn't know that, okay, not enough money, also

got problem, got more money, also got more problem. How

different problem. But we're very small minded, right sometimes. But

Jesus came to give us abandoned life. John TenTen says,

forgiveness and you can move on. Forgiveness is such an

important thing that Christians believe in a lot of problems.

But when you check your heart, do you still really, really,

really really forgive. I had to forgive my family, and

sometimes I still have to keep forgiving them, right because

know what they do. They get in trouble, they do

certain things, you know, and it affects us. But we

stay have to forgive because when we forgive their peace.

When you talk about righteousness, God made us righteous, not

our own effort. No, it's not about the amount of

that when you have relationship with the Father, the father

teaches you. Do you know that when you have relationship

with the father, the father speaks to you. Do you

know when you have relationship with the father, and when

you submit to the father?

Big word?

Now, submission, A big word point you to the right

direction by stee your choice. Interesting, right, it's your choice.

It's here a choice whether you want to obey or disobey.

But the relationship is there. The wonderful thing is the

relationship is there. The wonderful thing is that we can

make a choice. The wonderful thing is that God is

there for us.

And however this obedient, you are friends.

The Bible says that nothing can separate you from God's life,

that is his heart, you know, deciding. They have stories

in the Bible about the prodigal's son, right, about the

lost coin, about but there's also stories about the ten

wise and foolish visions. There's also stories about people being

thrown out in the national thief. So you've got the

good meaning, you have to understand the Father's heart. I mean,

no matter how far gone you are, that's the way

back when. But you have to make the choice to

come back.

You cannot take that for granted. You have to make

the choice to come back. And that's the wonderful thing

about who our Christ is.
