  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Please send your bibles to Mark chapter one, verse thirty

  4. two to thirty nine. Mark chapter one, verse thirty two

  5. to thirty nine. Today we're gonna read a little bit

  6. about the life of Jesus, what he went through, what

  7. he experienced, and hopefully we can draw something for that

  8. for our lives. Mark chapter one. Let me read verse

  9. from verse fourteen. Okay, I apologize because I'm still a

  10. little bit under the weather, so I might be clearing

  11. my trophy and there just only recently recovered. Yeah, I

  12. had some sortry and all that. Okay, So Mark chapter one,

  13. verse fourteen. I'm going to read that verse fourteen. It

  14. says here in verse fourteen, now after John was put

  15. in prison, Jesus came to Galilee preaching the Gospel of

  16. the Kingdom of God, okay, and saying the time is

  17. fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand.

  18. Repent and believe in the Gospel. Okay.

  19. This is a really big deal because the Jews who

  20. were waiting for a messiah propheside since the early prophet days.

  21. You know, if you read Isaiah.

  22. The coming of the Messiah has been foretold, and they

  23. really believe that he was. Actually until today saw them

  24. still do believe and waiting for the Messiah to come, okay,

  25. the Savior to come. Right, they didn't believe that Jesus came,

  26. but they still believed that a Messiah was going to come,

  27. and he was really a big deal. And this guy

  28. who suddenly appeared out of nowhere right started, you know,

  29. preaching the gospel to say, the King of God is

  30. at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel. And then

  31. what happened after that? And as he walked by the

  32. Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother,

  33. casting an end to the sea, for they were fishermen.

  34. Jesus said to them, follow me. Okay.

  35. So if you read on until verse twenty eight, you

  36. will see that Jesus he began his ministry after John

  37. the Baptist was put in prison. Right, so John the

  38. Baptist came to prepare the way he came, and he

  39. baptized with water, and he said, there will be a

  40. person that comes that will baptize.

  41. You in fire right.

  42. And Jesus himself went through that baptism right, he had

  43. to sort of like show us the way, okay, for

  44. those of us here who believe in Christ.

  45. Right.

  46. And then after John was in the prison, he was

  47. probably you know, seen as someone that was going against

  48. the Roman government. That's why they locked him up, right.

  49. And then Jesus started his ministry, okay.

  50. And when he.

  51. Came, he came to Galilee preaching the gospel of the

  52. King of God. And what happened after that was he

  53. called his first disciples. He called Simon, Peter, his brother, Andrew,

  54. and James and John. Right. Just imagine, now, Jesus, nobody

  55. knew him, you know. Okay, of course we read the

  56. Bible before that, we know him, but nobody knew Jesus.

  57. Everybody knew him as the carpenter's son for thirty years

  58. right after Truffles all going and amazing. You know, saw

  59. like he went to Jerusalem and he saw like taught

  60. from the scripture, not really taught, but had discourse with

  61. the scribes and they were like, who's this child of

  62. your old guy?

  63. Right, boy, you know.

  64. And then the parents for going for three days, awesome parents, right,

  65. they forgot him. And after that he just followed his father.

  66. His early father, and he became a very strong fit carpenter. Okay,

  67. just quite fit. He's not weak. Okay, he can fit

  68. table one.

  69. Right.

  70. And then this is where he started his ministry. Okay,

  71. he preached, he had four disciples and more.

  72. And then what happened next? Okay, let's see. Uh.

  73. Then he went into Kaepernum and immediately on the Sabbath

  74. he entered the synagogue and taught. And they were astonished

  75. at his teaching, for he taught them as one having

  76. authority and not as scribes. Right, So they were amazed

  77. because he was not he was not doing theory.

  78. He was very practical.

  79. He thought with authority, okay, and that's why they're like, wow,

  80. who's this guy?

  81. They was so.

  82. Bold in the things that he was proclaiming. Right, and

  83. so happened, which was very interesting. So happened, right, I

  84. wouldn't say his first miracle, but the first time he

  85. cast it out a demon. Also I read I don't know, okay,

  86. maybe I knew study more. But there was a man

  87. as he was teaching in the synague, there was a

  88. man with an unclean spirit. Okay, how many of you

  89. here got unclean spirit?

  90. Raise out your.

  91. Hand, because if you have, you probably won't not okay

  92. uh anyway, if Jesus is here, you won't be able

  93. to you know, be around.

  94. Right.

  95. And the man with the unclean spirit spirit very interesting team.

  96. If you read the Bible, you notice that anybody with

  97. an unclean, unclean spirit, anybody with UH that's possessed by

  98. demon now will want to declare that Jesus Christ is lord.

  99. You read the Bible, and then the funny thing is

  100. Jesus will cast them out saying keep quiet, don't tell these.

  101. People who I am. I wonder why.

  102. I wonder why Jesus stop them, stop the demons from

  103. proclaiming that He's thought.

  104. I wonder.

  105. I don't know if you're thought about it before. If

  106. you're not, maybe good to think about it. There are

  107. a lot of things Jesus do which is quite interesting.

  108. One right, maybe because it was not time, I don't know.

  109. Maybe because they wanted He wanted people to realize that

  110. he's not on their own. Maybe it's like how you know,

  111. when we talk about our young kids, we always say

  112. that you there's no such thing as being born in

  113. a Christian family. You got to receive Jesus as your

  114. personalized savior.

  115. On your own.

  116. It's not oh, I believe because no, no, no, you got

  117. to believe because you believe, right.

  118. You got to believe because you believe, not.

  119. Because your father believed, or your mother believed, or your

  120. pastor's kid. No, you believe because you believe that Jesus

  121. Christ is Lord.

  122. Right, So he casted the spirit out.

  123. Men with unclean spirit came, Jesus rebuked him, and the

  124. unclean spirit departed. And of course the people saw this,

  125. they probably knew that this guy had then unclean spirit.

  126. They probably knew that, uh, you know, this guy got

  127. problem made right, and when they saw it, they were mazed.

  128. And this is the interesting thing. His fame spread around Galilee.

  129. Right.

  130. The time got no Internet, the time got no AI,

  131. the time got no social media. Right, it was all

  132. word of mouth. Don't you think that Jesus would have

  133. been very famous. This is the start of his ministry,

  134. you know, right, start a ministry repreaching like God authority,

  135. casting out demons.

  136. Quite amazing.

  137. Okay, let's follow on the story. Mark chapter one, verse

  138. twenty nine two. Threy one says, Now, as soon as

  139. they come out of the synagogue, they entered the House

  140. of Simon and Andrew and with James and John. But

  141. Simon's wife mother, Simon's wife's mother, his mother in law

  142. lay sick with a fever, and they told him about

  143. her at once. So he came and took her by

  144. the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever

  145. left her and she served them. So basically Jesus killed

  146. Peter's mother in LAWA So to all husbands here, please love.

  147. And care for your mother in law.

  148. Couse Jesus loved them, Mark Chapter one, verse thirty two

  149. to thirty nine. This is where we want to go deeper.

  150. Are you guys okay? Following the story so far?

  151. Okay? So he's kind of a big deal, right.

  152. Jesus came preached with power cast out demons and heal

  153. people whoa okay, So at evening when the sun had said,

  154. they brought to him Jesus all who were sick and

  155. those who are demon possessed. So he was hanging out

  156. in Peter's mom in law's house and people started crowding outside.

  157. Imagine people started crowding outside. People started saying, Hey, this

  158. guy can cast out demons. Your family member got demon? No,

  159. come bring them. Hey, this guy can heal the sick.

  160. You've been sick.

  161. All these work bring him, bring them come the whole city,

  162. the scripture says. The scripture says that, and the whole

  163. city was gethered together the door. The whole of pj

  164. pataling Jai was gethered outside here because pastor Man was

  165. just casting.

  166. Out demons and healing the sick.

  167. Sorry you you're on break your sor have to use

  168. your name, right, is just doing great stuff.

  169. The whole thing about this, guys, you're following me or not.

  170. The whole city was here, No, because it was not

  171. because they knew Jesus as the son of God. It

  172. was not because they just knew him as a prophet.

  173. But he was doing miracles. They were chasing after the miracles.

  174. They they they were They were having problems and they

  175. wanted it solved because this guy could solve it.

  176. Right. You you think you could keep it quiet. No

  177. you couldn't.

  178. Those of you who have testimonies in your life, don't

  179. keep quiet, share it so that people will come to

  180. meet these Jesus that saved you. Right. So they brought

  181. to him all who were sick, all who were possessed,

  182. and he healed them all. He healed them all. He

  183. didn't say, oh you see, No, he healed them all,

  184. and the whole city was there. He healed many who

  185. were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons.

  186. And he did not allow the demons to speak because

  187. they knew him. Very interesting, he did not allow the

  188. demons to speak, becaud they knew him, just thinking why Lord,

  189. why they should be You know, the Bible says when

  190. you when you don't praise God, the rocks to cry out, right,

  191. But this is very interesting. Why didn't he allow Hey,

  192. let's read on now and in the morning, having risen

  193. a long while before, they like, he went out and

  194. departed to a solitary place, and there he prayed, and

  195. Simon and those who were with him search for him,

  196. right of course, after the whole hu haah and healing

  197. everybody tatma.

  198. So I'm guessing the.

  199. Disciples to say, the disciples that followed this guy and

  200. probably went like, wow, this guy that we followed, this

  201. is the best decision we've made, you know, right, And

  202. now my house, my mommy lost house. She must be

  203. so proud of me. I'm just I'm just paraphrasing. You

  204. didn't read right there. But don't you think they thought

  205. they would have done a good thing because this guy

  206. that they just said, I'll follow you suddenly can preach

  207. the gospel, Sunny, can heal the sick.

  208. Honey Sonny can do these wonderful things, you know.

  209. And now the center of the city is Peter made

  210. and lost house in Kapanham and Jesus in the morning

  211. whereverybody is since sleeping and say, hey, come back to

  212. Wora coming tomorrow, Say go all right, he coming to

  213. morea coming tomorra okay, come back.

  214. Tomorrow, you see Jesus. Are I wonder whether they take

  215. tolling the door? Probably not. I don't know. They need

  216. money and survivor coming comeing. Jesus. Need to sleep ready, okay, the.

  217. Super Sonny you sleep a readay, go back, go back,

  218. go back right. And the next day everybody sleep just

  219. rose up super early as he normally does.

  220. What did he do?

  221. He went out to pray, He went out to connect

  222. with God. Right, He went out so long that when

  223. they woke up there like, hey, where Jesus, where's the superstar?

  224. When is he he?

  225. There's so many people and we really arranged the appointment,

  226. you know, for him to come in. You know, there

  227. are other people that want to see him that. There's

  228. so many bild not were there. There's so many things happening.

  229. And when they found him, they said to him, everyone

  230. is looking for you, Lord, Where have you been? So

  231. many haven't here yet, so many haven't let go of

  232. the demons yet.

  233. Where have you been?

  234. Lord?

  235. Come back to my mother and lost house, because that's

  236. the most important.

  237. Place right now. Come back. And Jesus replied, so interesting.

  238. But he said to them, let us go to the

  239. next town that I may preach there also because for

  240. this purpose I have come for. And he was preaching

  241. in their synagogues throughout all Galilee and casting out demons.

  242. So Jesus had a very successful ministry, very since the beginning.

  243. He had a very successful ministry. Really, he'll the sake

  244. cast out demons, and they were all looking for him.

  245. He was a superstar, don't you think, Jesus superstar. This

  246. is the legit one, not not not legit one that

  247. the world came out with. Please don't go wash iwana.

  248. That one got some problem, okay? But he rose up

  249. early the next morning. Friends, Could it be that he

  250. was bordered by something could it be that he was

  251. reflecting on the success of his ministry, successful ministry?

  252. Straight we come up? Or success Didy?

  253. You know, best worship leader, best home leader. Well, I

  254. teach the word awesome, right success.

  255. Everyone was looking for him, everybody, don't you think it's important?

  256. So important?

  257. Everybody was looking for him, expecting Jesus to perform, to

  258. continue to perform miracles and heal the sick. But this

  259. is a wonderful thing about my Jesus. He was clear

  260. on his purpose. Huh, what do you mean. Isn't his

  261. purpose to heal the sick set paper free? Well, yeah,

  262. but only at one town, only at Peter Maddin Lost House.

  263. I don't know if he continues there another day, they

  264. might start erecting a statue of him. They might start

  265. selling tickets. I don't know what they will do. I'm

  266. not saying it's happening. But even as I'm sharing, this

  267. sounds quite familiar.

  268. Right. But Jesus was clear on his purpose.

  269. Jesus aligned back to the far, and the Father aligned

  270. to jesus purpose.

  271. John fifteen seven.

  272. It says, if you're abide in me and my words,

  273. abide in you, and you ask what your desire, and

  274. it shall be done to you. For you by this,

  275. my Father is glorified that you may bear much truth,

  276. so you will be my disciples.

  277. Friends, We're really honest. We will know.

  278. People are people, and people are always looking for the spectacular.

  279. People are always looking for the next big thing. Now,

  280. the next big thing is AI, you know, and how

  281. you're going to use AI to change your life?

  282. And you know a lot of conversations about AI.

  283. Right. People are looking for the next big thing, the

  284. next easier way. And you know that technology has made

  285. our lives super easy. That we may not need to

  286. search as scriptures anymore, because all we need to do

  287. is get an algorithm to push scripture to us at

  288. the right time that we feel that the Lord is

  289. speaking to us. Say, I'm not against that, but God

  290. says such scriptures. God said, search the scriptures. Are we

  291. searching the scriptures? Are we seeking God? That's a question.

  292. Right.

  293. We don't want to be performing, friends, I don't think

  294. we want to. We don't want to just have a

  295. Sunday performance. We got to really think about that. What

  296. are we looking for? Right? Because it's not about performance, friends,

  297. It's about purpose. That's how I said I love my

  298. Jesus because he was very clear on his purpose. He

  299. came to declare the word of God. He came to

  300. show us away. He came not just for one town,

  301. one place. He came to reach the people. He came

  302. for a specific purpose.

  303. That's what he came. Leaders. We don't want to have

  304. to be performing all the time. I hope we are not.

  305. I hope we're not in a place where we are

  306. giving on empty where we don't have our own quiet time,

  307. and we don't now seek the Lord. And we come

  308. and we wear a suit and all that's good, but

  309. it's a performance. It shouldn't be a performance. It should

  310. be about purpose. Jesus was not so concerned about the crowd.

  311. He was not He was not concerned about it all.

  312. That's why everybody looking for you. I want to how

  313. many of us we have a pastor our house said hey, sorry, sorry,

  314. sorry yah, I went to pray to receive more from Lord.

  315. Come let me minister to everybody. Now, let me let

  316. me minister to everybody. Now, let me let me I'm

  317. not saying it's bad, okay, but do we know a purpose?

  318. Did we really seek the Lord? A lot of times

  319. we look for things that are good. A lot of

  320. times we pursue things that are good, and there a

  321. lot of things are good right now.

  322. But is it God? That's a question, is it really

  323. a God thing? Did the Lord really speak to you?

  324. Right? He wasn't concerned about the crowds. He was probably

  325. more concerned about why they were there, just to get

  326. their prayers answered, just to get healing, just to get

  327. alle to be able to come to this place where

  328. they know the law of lawd Luke, chapter seven, verse

  329. eleven to seventeen. But by the way, my title today,

  330. thanks to one of my leaders, the title is are

  331. we revived? That's a question, okay, are we revive? Let's

  332. turn to Luke chapter seven, verse eleven, seventeen. Are you

  333. guys okay? I hope the word will speak to you

  334. as he's spoken to me as well. So one next,

  335. what did Jesus do? Luke, chapter seven, verse eleven. It says,

  336. now it happened the day after that He went into

  337. a city called nine Okay, it's probably a German city,

  338. and many of his disciples went with him, and a

  339. large crowd. See how he was so famous? Are that

  340. everywhere he went got large crowd. Now everywhere he went,

  341. large crowd, large crowd. Everybody want to see him perform.

  342. Everybody want to see him cast out demails everybody. You know,

  343. it feels like when got accident in Malaysia, then Sunny

  344. got a jam why because we all want to see her.

  345. And then somebody want to look at number. I hope

  346. none of us here look at number. Let's not biblical, right,

  347. large crowd. When he came near the gate of the city,

  348. Behold a date man was being carried out, the only

  349. son of his mother, and she was a widow, and

  350. a large crowd from the city was with her, another

  351. large crowd. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion

  352. on her and said to her, do not weep. Then

  353. he came and touched the open coffin, and those who

  354. carried him stood still, and he said, young man, I

  355. say to your rise. So he who was dead, set

  356. up and began to speak, and he presented him to

  357. his smarther. Then fear came upon all. They glorified God,

  358. saying a great prophet has risen up among us, and

  359. God has visited his people.

  360. And this report about.

  361. Him went throught all Judea and all the surrounding regions,

  362. and Jesus became even more famous. Fear of the Lord

  363. came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, a great

  364. prophet has risen up among us, and God has visited

  365. his people. Right, let's read on what happened after that?

  366. Then the disciples of John. John is still in prison, Okay.

  367. Then the disciples of John reported to him concerning these things.

  368. And John, calling two of his disciples to him, send

  369. them to Jesus saying, are you the coming one?

  370. Or do we look for another war?

  371. Why? Soundenly got drama? Or I thought John the prophet.

  372. John was the person that was supposed to, you know,

  373. foretell the coming of Christ. Right, and Christ doing all

  374. these crazy things though, and people are proclaiming him as

  375. a great prophet. But do you know that people also

  376. proclaim John as a great prophet because John was also doing.

  377. Quite crazy stuff.

  378. Right when the man had come to him, they said,

  379. John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, are

  380. you the coming one?

  381. Or do we look for another?

  382. And that very hour he cured many of the infirmities, afflictions,

  383. and evil spirits, and too many blind He gave sight

  384. and Jesus answered to them, saying, go and tell John

  385. the things you have seen and heard that the blinds see,

  386. the lame walk, the leopards are cleansed, and the death here,

  387. the data raised, and the poor have the gospel preach

  388. to them. And blessed is he who is not offended.

  389. Because for me, why these are the greatest flexs ever man.

  390. Rather than answering you who I am, let me show

  391. you and reminding John again, Hey, remember you called me

  392. out here. You know you came to prepare the way,

  393. and now I'm getting more famous than you. But please

  394. keep your eyes on the right face focus. It's not

  395. about fame, it's not about performance. It's about the purpose. So, friends,

  396. can I ask you a question? What did you come

  397. out here to see? Why did we come to X

  398. PJ or X church this morning? Do we come to

  399. see a man performing Michael W. Smith on the piano

  400. the Chinese version? Do we come and see a person

  401. to get bent and swayed by his environment? Are we

  402. bent by pop culture?

  403. Well?

  404. What's the latest thing happening here? Or what's the latest song?

  405. What's the latest fashion? Now? Well, now you go Christian

  406. Christian culture. No, friends, Christian culture. I think the only

  407. culture I know is Jesus culture. I don't know about

  408. Christian culture. I used to be one, young ones. Yeah,

  409. even the word Jesus culture also means something else, right,

  410. huh is bad?

  411. Oh?

  412. Lord, we've taken your name in vain kingdom culture. I'm

  413. sure someone will use that later on branding.

  414. Right.

  415. No, friends, you didn't come to ex church, to any

  416. other exists to see things to see.

  417. Let me read. Let me read the scripture.

  418. When the messengers of John had departed, he began to

  419. speak to the multitudes concerning John. What did you What

  420. did you go out into the wilderness to see a

  421. reed chicken by the wind? What did you go out

  422. to see a man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those

  423. who are gordeous sly apparel and live luxury in king's courts?

  424. But what did you go to see a prophet? Yes,

  425. I say to you, and more than a prophet, this

  426. is key of whom it is written. Behore, I sent

  427. my messengers before your face, who will prepare your way

  428. before you? For I say to you, among those born

  429. of women, that is not a greater prophet than John

  430. the Baptist. But he who is least in the Kingdom

  431. of God is greater than he. And when all the

  432. people hurt him. Even the text collectors justified God having

  433. been baptized with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees

  434. and lawyers rejected the will of God, for they themselves

  435. not having been baptized by him. And the Lord said,

  436. to what then shall I liken the men of this generation?

  437. And what are they?

  438. They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling

  439. to one another, saying, we played the flude for you,

  440. and you did not dance. Hey, Hello, I played the

  441. food for you, but you did not dance. We mourn

  442. for you, but you didn't weep for John. The Baptists

  443. came neither to eat, neither eating bread nor drinking wine.

  444. And you say he has a demon.

  445. The son of Man has come eating and drinking, And

  446. you say, look a glutton and a wine bibber, a

  447. friend of tech collectors and sinners. But wisdom is justified

  448. by all her children. What did we come out to see?

  449. Friends?

  450. What did we come out to see today? The truth

  451. is that people will go where they secretly desire. So

  452. what are we desiring this morning? John the baptist came,

  453. He fasted and prayed. Us just being sarcastic, he fasted

  454. and prayed. He was in the desert, he was baptizing.

  455. We will say, you know, I'm preparing the way for

  456. the coming of the Savior. Do you know that Jesus

  457. proclaimed John as a prophet, But Jesus didn't proclaim himself

  458. as a prophet. You know why, because Jesus is not

  459. a prophet. Jesus was the Messiah.

  460. Your cash tann on. A prophet is just a title.

  461. Jesus was the real deal. What do we recognize? We

  462. recognized the pastor we recognized the leader, or we recognized Jesus.

  463. We recognize a culture, we recognize the way of how

  464. we feel, we recognize what's trending, or we recognize Jesus.

  465. My encouragement this morning is that we recognize Jesus.

  466. Who is Christ in? Who is Christ in your life?

  467. Who is Christ in your life? John came, He was rejected.

  468. Jesus came.

  469. He was also rejected. Come eat food, don't eat food?

  470. Also reject Where do you know John was a graff man,

  471. hair on his back. I remember this song There was

  472. a man with a tad with the big fat Bealley

  473. with that realm?

  474. Is that the right one?

  475. Correct song? Wrong verse? John I locus hyprotein. Jesus came

  476. and said, with text collectors. Text collectors are not poor,

  477. our friends, text collectors quite richer, probably self rich, good food.

  478. They want to so complain it look us so complain

  479. if with text collectors to complain. And later, of course,

  480. Jesus said, I didn't come to see the healthy. I

  481. come to see the sick. Who was the sick people

  482. that received him, that had their life transform?

  483. What was the purpose? Friends?

  484. What was the purpose? Do we recognize Jesus in our lives?

  485. That's the question I have this morning? Or is this

  486. just a culture? We are not just giving prophecy, friends,

  487. We are living it out. Disciples of Christ. We are

  488. living out what the Lord has given to us. When

  489. you receive Christ as your personal law, say, it's not

  490. a storytelling I think anymore.

  491. It's real. Friends. When we pray for the sick, the

  492. sick get healed. I know some of you here are

  493. not well.

  494. This morning, Jesus will heal you in the name of Jesus,

  495. that you be healed, and they receive that this morning,

  496. not in the name of Elvin.

  497. Not in the name of.

  498. Church branding. No, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

  499. that you are here and you are made well. It

  500. is always Christ, because Jesus was the one prophecy, and

  501. we are his disciples, and therefore we are living out

  502. the prophecy.

  503. Because of Christ, we are redeemed.

  504. I pray that your minds be set free this morning,

  505. set free from what you're looking for, set.

  506. Free from culture and what people else are doing.

  507. Now, everyone here, I believe you have your own personal

  508. relationship with God. That's the kicker relationship. How have we

  509. been investing in our own relationship with God? It's a

  510. good question. Or are we too busy? Like I said,

  511. right now, it's very easy. That's the danger. The thing

  512. about people is the easier you make it for them,

  513. the more they think things are granted.

  514. You know, don't use some examples.

  515. You're my tarasa right as a person staying very far

  516. away from PJ. I kind of need to plan my

  517. schedule because you're not. I'll be re lated on so

  518. most of the time, most of the time, all the time,

  519. most of the time. I think there was once I

  520. was super late for assault. H you know, but most

  521. of the time I have to come at least an

  522. hour before the even one like this morning, we came

  523. flea around there one and a half hours before.

  524. Why because it's so hard.

  525. So we cannot take for granted, because the moment you

  526. take it for granted, there'll be then you'll be late.

  527. But I wonder what time people leave the house? Who's

  528. stay in PJA.

  529. I wonder.

  530. I don't want to know anybody, but I'm talking about

  531. human beings agay, and the danger that we have right

  532. now in today's day and age is.

  533. Things are so easy. I tell you, it is making

  534. things even easier.

  535. Now there's this a very interesting thing where you can

  536. actually not read the Bible. You can play a YouTube

  537. song probably AI so know of someone reading scripture in

  538. R and B form. I just discovered it. I'm like, oh,

  539. this is so interesting. So you can actually sing along

  540. with the Gospel in R and B or God fold,

  541. depending on your flavor. LLA right, the me sing the

  542. Gospel Met you or listen to the Gospel Met you

  543. in four And it's pretty interesting, you know.

  544. So I fine, it's a little bit great area.

  545. Because when we were spoon fed the scripture this way

  546. like how I'm kind of doing it for you right now.

  547. I wonder how diligent will be in searching the scriptures

  548. for yourself.

  549. Something you think about, okay, something you think about, something

  550. to encourage you to think about. This is how I

  551. like to give people homework, which I hope you do LA.

  552. Where I will you know, share something and say please

  553. go read yourself. I hope you do LA. I hope

  554. you do LA.

  555. Okay, or at least have some form of devotional LA.

  556. You know.

  557. I think one of the greatest devotions last time was

  558. daily break. Last time find you know you want to

  559. get daily bread. It's three to go to canaan lana

  560. and look for it, LA, and then you try at

  561. least got some guidance LA.

  562. Now it's so easy installing your phone call team huh

  563. straight away? Wake up? Oh, I read the Bible. I

  564. opened the.

  565. Scripture, come out already on my mainscreen. Oh you see,

  566. I'm a good Christian. Of course I'm reading today scripture

  567. like all the three million people. I don't how many

  568. three billion people in the world reading the same scripture.

  569. The Lord is speaking to us in this one scripture.

  570. I'm being sarcastic our friends. Can God speak to you

  571. in that scripture?

  572. Can? Don't say cannot? Can God still God's word?

  573. Ma?

  574. But I think I want to say alla. I think

  575. the Holy stree want to say alla. Let me read

  576. X chapter nineteen. Are you guys okay? X Chapter nineteen.

  577. Everybody is re quiet now. I mean this is why

  578. we don't want you to prety so often. I guys, okay, Now, okay,

  579. Please snatch your neighbor and say he's not talking about you.

  580. X Chapter nineteen, Verse thirteen to seventeen. Okay, let's read this.

  581. Are acts nineteen thirteen to seventeen. Dory will well well

  582. and well, we'll lend this place well playing well okay,

  583. or more like we'll take off well Okay, it says

  584. here inverse th teen. Okay, let me read now. God

  585. worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul.

  586. Okay.

  587. Paul was one of the you know, one of the

  588. apostles that didn't see Jesus. The rest of the apostles

  589. saw Jesus, but Paul didn't see Jesus right well, at

  590. least only after he left. So the even handkerchiefs or

  591. aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and

  592. the diseases left them, and the evil spirits were out

  593. of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists well

  594. got such a thing. Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves

  595. to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those

  596. who are evil spirits, saying, we exercise you by the

  597. Jesus whom Paul preachers. But interesting, Isaiah, you know, come

  598. let me pray for you. You know, remind said past

  599. the men killed the sick custout demons. Right, then you

  600. come to me, one of disciples are Come, let me

  601. pray in the name of the Jesus that past and

  602. mad preachers. Doesn't it sound very familiar, very weird, right?

  603. It sounds like I don't believe in Jesus, but I'm

  604. trying to write on pasta men's belief of Jesus.

  605. Coroner.

  606. Shouldn't it be I pray for you in the name

  607. of Jesus, whom I believe. I pray in the name

  608. of Jesus. That pas Cana's beliefs sounds funny, right, That's

  609. see what happens are Also, there were seven Sons of Skiva,

  610. a Jewish priest or priests who did so, okay, So

  611. a few of them did it. Okay, And the evil

  612. spirit answered and said, Jesus, I know, and Paul, I know,

  613. But who are you. Then the man in whom the

  614. evil spirit was sleep was sleeping on them, overpowered them

  615. and prevailed against them.

  616. So they flat out their house naked. And that.

  617. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling

  618. in Ephesus, and fear fell on them all. And the

  619. name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who

  620. had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. And many

  621. of those who had practiced magic brought their books together

  622. and burned them in the sight of all. And they

  623. counted up to the value of them, and it two

  624. total fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of

  625. the Lord grew mightily and prevail. Friends, May we come

  626. to a place where we do not just have the

  627. form of godliness but no power. My last scripture, second

  628. Timothy Tree was three to five second Timothy Tree Tree

  629. of five. I shall have turned to it earlier. Let

  630. yours sink in the thoughts before this. Okay, he says, here, okay,

  631. let's read from one, but know this that in the

  632. last days, perilous times will come. For men will be

  633. lovers of themselves, lovers of money, bolsters, proud, blasphemous, disobedient

  634. to parents, unthankful and holy, unloving, unforgiving, slenderess without self control, brutal,

  635. despisers of good, traitors, hate, strong, haughty, lovers of pleasure,

  636. rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness

  637. but denying its power. And from such people turn away.

  638. Friends.

  639. We need to come to a place where we understand

  640. who our Lord Jesus Christ is, and not just understand

  641. who he is. The real question is who is he

  642. is to us? Not another person's faith? You know, right,

  643. not numbers that same When you know your own, can

  644. you believe for your own.

  645. Jesus is real to you too? Write?

  646. Don't you love him? Don't you have a relationship with him?

  647. Are we relying on the faith of our partner? Are

  648. we relying on the faith of the church? Are we

  649. what are we relying on?

  650. Friends?

  651. No, we should rely on our own faith. You should

  652. know who this Christ is. All of us made that

  653. decision a long time ago. But maybe true the years,

  654. maybe true.

  655. I don't know. Constant exposure to the culture.

  656. Okay, or people you know can be good and better

  657. can be exposure until you get hurt and because there's

  658. no clarity or relationship, then you totally cut off everyone

  659. else that has anything to do with Christ. I think

  660. it's a ways you know, or maybe it's exposure to

  661. the point that you thought, Hey, this is the way

  662. to go. Devoid of relationship. No relationship with Christ is key.

  663. Admit that you need Christ in your life, believe that

  664. he died for a since, and commit your life to him.

  665. The commitment part, the relationship part. He's said in his

  666. word that I now call your friends, because whatever the

  667. Father is revealing to me, I'm revealing to you friends, relationship,

  668. heirs to the throne, heirs to the Kingdom of God.

  669. Have we just been doing? Doing? Doing? Friends?

  670. Can I encourage you time to stop doing, time to

  671. start being, Time to stop doing Christian things, time to

  672. start being a disciple of Christ, time to stop doing.

  673. Only doing is Goodah, but.

  674. Maybe we need to start concentrate on being because doing

  675. means you can go from one conference to another conference,

  676. to another conference, to another conference, to one camp to

  677. another wordship.

  678. Think it's just doing. What are you being. What is

  679. it lod speaking to you.

  680. The thing about being in the city is that we

  681. have so much options, so much first world problems, so many.

  682. Just says here.

  683. If you don't like what Pasel is saying, now you

  684. can just go down the street. Someone might be speaking

  685. a nicer message for you. So much options, but it's

  686. not going to help your faith. Are we going to grow?

  687. Are we going to go closer to Christ? You're gonna

  688. ask ulf a question. No, So, friends, let's stop doing.

  689. Let's start being, because when we we are or when

  690. we be, the doing is automatic. When you know who

  691. Christ is in your life, the doing is automatic. And

  692. that's something that in acts we're very big on. That's

  693. why we're big on discipleship. That's why we have a

  694. book that passed a wad.

  695. Now every believer can.

  696. That is why I have the privilege and the opportunity

  697. of planting this church with awesome individuals and for building

  698. this church. We're awesome leaders. It's not just about the title.

  699. It's about living out our faith in Christ.

  700. Amen.

  701. So actually, the first question that we revive is a

  702. rhetorical question. We are revived because as long as you

  703. have Christ in your life, you are revived. Maybe the

  704. question is you're not tapped into it yet, or there

  705. are so many things happening here or happening here there

  706. is blinding you or distracting you.

  707. Friends.

  708. Time to build again that quiet place with the Lord.

  709. Time to go to the Lord again in the morning

  710. and say, Lord, I want to align. Jesus dealt with that.

  711. He was famous. Everybody was looking for him. Everybody had needs,

  712. and of course he had confession, that's how he healed them.

  713. But he knew his purpose. He was very clear on

  714. what his father, what he was here to do on earth.

  715. He was very clear. Are you clear? Sometimes we are not? No,

  716. that's the reality. Sometimes we are not really clear.

  717. That's why we go from one thing to another thing,

  718. to another thing, and then when it doesn't work, then

  719. we go to the next thing. It doesn't work, go

  720. to the next thing. Friends, my encouragement to you this

  721. morning is stopped doing that. The only person that can

  722. give you clarity is our Father go in heaven. The

  723. only person that can give you clarity on this earth

  724. right now is the Holy Spirit is God. And the

  725. only guiding light that you have in your life is

  726. the Word of God. That you can search for yourself

  727. the scriptures. That is the best thing ever, the best

  728. gif ever that God has given to us, the power

  729. that God has given to all of us.

  730. Amen. Amen, I don't know how you're going to receive

  731. this word I've delivered it. Lord. I pray that you

  732. will speak to your people.

  733. Lord, I pray that you will just grant us that

  734. breakthrough this morning that we need, Holy straight guide us.

  735. We don't want to play in the shallows anymore. Lord,

  736. we don't want to be affected by what's happening out there.

  737. Lord Father.

  738. But Lord, we want to align ourselves to You again,

  739. aligned to our Maker, aligned to further God in Heaven.

  740. We don't just listen to advice from friends or people

  741. or Lord. We want to really live out our purpose

  742. in You. So I pray for you people this morning.

  743. I pray for those who are here. I pray, o God,

  744. that you speak to them. I pray Holy Spirit that

  745. you will guide them and lead them. Lord, I pray

  746. that you help us overcome our challenges. Lord, whatever struggle

  747. that you've been having for the past few years, not

  748. I pray that it will help us overcome it. Oh God,

  749. Because your word says that with Christ within me, I

  750. can do all things. That's not just lip service. Friends,

  751. It's the word of God. It is a promise.

  752. It's the truth.

  753. With Christ in you, you can do all things. The

  754. Bible still say is that Christ has overcome the world,

  755. and because He has overcome the world, he has given

  756. us vig tree. The Bible says, he has minister. They

  757. hit another tail. The Bible says a lot of things.

  758. The Bible also says that when we are down, He's

  759. our power of refuge, a very present help.

  760. Where we're in danger.

  761. The Bible says, though I walk through the value of

  762. the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for

  763. your Lord and your staff will comfort me. The Bible

  764. also says that by His stripes we are healed. Do

  765. you believe that, friends, It's not just lip service, it's

  766. not just a positive thinking.

  767. It is a word of God and it has power.

  768. Do you believe? Do you believe?

  769. What do you come to see this morning? Do you

  770. come to see a man perform miracles in front of you?

  771. Or do you come to meet Christ? Do you come

  772. to experience God's presence in your life? What did you

  773. come to see? I pray that you will always come

  774. to see Him and seek him, because the answer to

  775. all yours is only to Christ. No one else can

  776. give you that an answer. No one else can, not

  777. a prophet, not a pastor, not a church. Only Christ.

  778. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  779. information on our church, please visit as church org. We

  780. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  781. this week is going to be a good week.

  782. I hit for you.

  783. God bless
