  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. So today we're gonna learn about being word faithful. Okay,

  4. word faithful. And I don't think any believer here will

  5. disagree with this point. Okay, science we can disagree. Oh

  6. I don't believe. I don't agree. Friends, I'm so sorry,

  7. but whatever is written in the Bible, a we'd have

  8. to disagree. If you disagreements, you're not a believer that yeah,

  9. I will make it as simple as that. Not something

  10. we like to play around in the gray areas. I'm sorry,

  11. I'm very extreme. And it's the line is clear. Jesus

  12. drew the sin on the line on the sand very clearly.

  13. And we want to be word faithful. So you won't

  14. be able. You won't disagree that word is bad.

  15. Word is not.

  16. In fact, I think a lot of Christians like the word.

  17. You know, they will skip worship for the word right.

  18. We see that, we see that as a habit, not

  19. just in our church, by many many churches. And of course,

  20. my encouragement for all of us here is let's not

  21. do that. Let's be here early for worship, because worship

  22. marinates the heart to be ready to receive the word.

  23. But if you only come for the word, I wonder

  24. how much are you receiving, because then your heart, which

  25. is not marinated in the presence of God, will be

  26. judging the word and the messenger of the word. You're

  27. your catch that because you're not prime for receiving. But

  28. worship allows you to receive even if the word is hard.

  29. Worship allows you to be in the right frame of

  30. mind to be able to grow. But when you don't

  31. have that and we are when you're just looking for

  32. the word, or more like looking for a word that

  33. will tickle your ears and you will agree with, then

  34. you will be received. You're your catch that. Then you'll

  35. be lying to yourself. Is U see this example? It's

  36. like it's like I remember when I signed up for

  37. the first gym experience that I knew I had to go.

  38. It was a it was anytime fitness, either a celebrity

  39. fitness or anytime I think I went for like an

  40. introduction in my house.

  41. Went there and then you know when there.

  42. And then you know you you you you get the gear,

  43. you get the shoes, you get the pants, to get everything.

  44. AH have to look the partner right right, and then

  45. you're ready, and then you see all the people in

  46. the the you know, then you start judging people, you know,

  47. start comparing and and then you go uh and then

  48. and then you pay the monthly fees and then you

  49. actually use the other facilities more than you use the

  50. exercise machines. I remember the thing that I was impressed about.

  51. I went and I looked like like serious, and I

  52. think I went and ran the treatment for like ten minutes,

  53. and I gave up because I was not.

  54. Fit that time. And then I went and looked at

  55. the vending machine.

  56. I was very impressed by the vending machine because they

  57. had a lot of like stuff that you cannot find

  58. anywhere else, you know, and it was not expensive. And

  59. I remember buying something from the venue machine, saying, I

  60. really did my part by exercising ten minutes, so I

  61. need a treat. And then after that I went home.

  62. And that was the first and last time I went

  63. to that. So you see, don't you think I'm deceiving

  64. myself by telling people that I went to the gym

  65. but I actually didn't go. I was there, so I

  66. was not really lying I was there, But was I

  67. really doing anything.

  68. I still remember this story that ce he.

  69. I think we had a leader's retreat and uh, you know,

  70. by that time we were all like all the actually

  71. all the extraually awkward feet.

  72. Now I don't know, maybe we're going older.

  73. We were running, I know, el the ping whole CrOx

  74. in five km every every day, every day, every day.

  75. You know, I cannot do that. And uh, and we

  76. had retreat.

  77. And the last time the retreat we had out we

  78. had like this author of snakes right that elder were

  79. prepared and then we're all bing it. And then as

  80. the years go by, the next author became less and less.

  81. Now don't have any last time, you know, we all say, oh,

  82. let's go Jim. Then nobody goes on. Only one or

  83. two for us. Now all of us are there clogging

  84. the you know. And I remember pasted Kenne. I think

  85. he woke out earlier. So he was there, and he

  86. also went to the gym. He went there and said

  87. hi to USA. And I remember clearly it was so

  88. interesting because he was just sharing this example about how

  89. he was sharing it as a devotion, so I believe

  90. I can share it. So again not to say that

  91. because he was there, he saw I mean give us,

  92. give us emotions and some of us. And we were

  93. talking about it and he said, you know, sometimes we

  94. can be in a place where we say we are here,

  95. but we're not actually, you know, like we say, oh

  96. yeah I went to church, or yeah I went to this,

  97. Oh yeah I did my quiet time. You know, Oh

  98. yeah I I I qual it I checked, I checked

  99. checked this right. But then when you ask further questions,

  100. so what do you do in the gym? So how

  101. many calories you burn? So I'm machin d then you're like, oh, actually,

  102. I was just there looking at if anyone.

  103. Yeah, I was just there.

  104. I didn't really in the calories. I didn't really I

  105. was there. I was there, correct, I was there. Friends,

  106. I pray that everyone here will not experience that.

  107. That you're deceiving yourself.

  108. And then you wonder why God is not moving in

  109. your life. Okay, friends, God wants to move in your life.

  110. I am sure of it. He wants to, but we

  111. have to engage him. Not just be present, right, not

  112. just take attendance, but be really present, be really involved.

  113. I hope you guys catch that. So word faithful, what

  114. does it mean? We cannot we won't disagree that the

  115. word is good.

  116. What is important? How many of you don't think the

  117. way is important? Nobody?

  118. Right, So all of us can agree that the word

  119. is important. But why the word fait interestinger? The extra

  120. put their word faithful, not word word faithful. Okay, So

  121. first thing to take note is the word of God

  122. is unshakeable. Do you all know that the word of

  123. God is unshakable? Heaven and earth will pass away, but

  124. his word will not pass away. West are taken from

  125. It's taken from Matthew chapter twenty four, verse thirty five.

  126. This is what Jesus said, Heaven and earth will pass away,

  127. but my words will by no means pass away.

  128. And in the past, different men have tried to remove

  129. the word of God.

  130. Right, a very very famous story of I think Hitler

  131. tried to get all the Bibles and burn the Bibles

  132. and change the translation.

  133. Of course he didn't last, right, And he's not really.

  134. Uh well, let's just say that that name or so

  135. it's not so nice name that we won't use nowadays

  136. lack Okay, And and God really said his word is unshakable, right,

  137. Heaven and earth will pass away, but his words will

  138. never pass away. Let me let me read a partial scripture.

  139. I'm not going to expet on it, but I just

  140. thought I want to give us a perspective. So you

  141. can turn to Matthew chapter twenty four in your bibles,

  142. whether it's your physical bible. Of course, in this church,

  143. we encourage people to bring their physical Bible. Matthew, Yeah,

  144. matew twenty four. Okay, I was reading, mom. Okay, Matthew

  145. twenty four. We're going to read from verse one to

  146. verse thirty five.

  147. Okay.

  148. So we encourage you to bring your physical bibles. And

  149. if you do not have a physical bible, let us know.

  150. We will buy you one. Okay.

  151. I'm still using this bible that my late mom bought

  152. me when I was eighteen, you know, and it's been

  153. such a great blessing to me, and I use it,

  154. you know.

  155. And I got this bible.

  156. Ooh, my mom wrote the date fifth of October two

  157. thousand and five, so this Bible is twenty one years old.

  158. It's good to have your own bible. Yeah.

  159. Somehow, when you have an electronic Bible, that's no emotional

  160. attachment to you.

  161. But when you have a book, it's different.

  162. Okay, So let me read verse twenty four, it says

  163. here Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple,

  164. and his disciples came up to show him the buildings

  165. of the temple. And Jesus said to them, do you

  166. not see all these things? Assuredly? I say to you,

  167. not one stone shall be left here upon another that

  168. shall not be thrown down.

  169. Okay, that's what Jesus said.

  170. Now, basically, Jesus went to the temple, and the disciples

  171. are showing Jesus or the temple. And I'm sure at

  172. that time the temple was great, right it was. It

  173. looks wonderful, it's amazing. And it says here now as

  174. he said on the amount of olives. The disciples came

  175. to him privately, saying, tell us when will these things be?

  176. And what will be the sign of your coming and

  177. the end of the age. Okay, Jesus answered, and say

  178. to them, take heed that no one deceives you all

  179. from the time. Also, Jesus wants us ready, for many

  180. will come in my name saying I'm the Christ and

  181. will deceive many.

  182. Okay.

  183. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.

  184. See that you're not troubled, For all these things must

  185. come to pass. But and it's not yet. So are

  186. you guys worried about economy, worry about the war, worry

  187. about different things? Well, Jesus, they say a long time

  188. God it what happened. For nation will rise against nation,

  189. and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pastilences,

  190. and earthquakes in various places. Isn't it happening right now

  191. in the world?

  192. Right? Isn't it happening? All these are the beginning of sorrows.

  193. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you,

  194. and you'll be hated by all nations. For my namesake?

  195. Isn't this also happening right now? Being Christian is very

  196. difficult now? No, I still remember when I was younger,

  197. being Christian not so hot.

  198. Now.

  199. Actually being Christian is quite hart the woman you say

  200. you're Christian, immediately people will throw all kinds of accusations.

  201. I was actually quite surprised at the shift of popular

  202. opinion about being a believer, quite fast.

  203. The shift.

  204. Okay, and then many will be offended, huh isn't that common?

  205. Betray one another and will hate one another. Then many

  206. false prophets will rise up and deceive many, and because

  207. lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

  208. Oh wow, okay, But he who endures to the end

  209. shall be saved. Can you lay your neighbor on whichever

  210. side and say, he who endures to the end will

  211. be saved. Don't tell another neighbor and say, I will

  212. try my best to endure to the end. And this

  213. gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world,

  214. and as a witness to all the nations.

  215. Then the end will come. Okay, it says in fifteen.

  216. Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation spoken off

  217. by Daniel the prophets standing in the Holy place, Okay,

  218. then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

  219. Let him who is on the housetop not go down

  220. to take anything out of his house, and let him

  221. who is in the field not go back to get

  222. his clothes. But war to those who are pregnant and

  223. to those who are nursing babies in those days, and

  224. pray the your flight may not be in winter or

  225. in the seventh for then there will be great tribulations

  226. such as nat has been since the beginning of the world.

  227. Until this time, no nor ever shall be and unless

  228. those days were shortened, no flesh should be safe. But

  229. for the Elect's sake, those days will be shortened. Then,

  230. if anyone says to you, look, he is the Christ

  231. or there, do not be believed, for false Christs and

  232. false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders

  233. to receive, if possible, even the Elect. See I've told

  234. you beforehand. Therefore, if they say to you, look, he's

  235. in the desert, do not go out. Look he is

  236. in the inner rooms. Do not believe it. For as

  237. the lightning comes from the east and freshes to the west,

  238. so also will the coming of sun of man be.

  239. For wherever the caucus is, their eagles will be gethered. Okay,

  240. let me read on now. Okay, I'm gonna fast forward.

  241. Now learn this parable from the victory. When its branch

  242. has already become tender and puts fourth leave, you know

  243. that summer is near. So you also, when you see

  244. all these things, know that it is near at the doors. Assuredly,

  245. I say to you, this generation will by no means

  246. pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and

  247. earth will pass away, but my words will by no.

  248. Means pass away.

  249. So I think from verse one till verse fourteen it

  250. has happened ready, But from verse fifteen to verse thirty

  251. one we.

  252. Are still waiting. Why am I reading this?

  253. The word of God is unshakeable, no matter what people say,

  254. no matter what people believe. A lot of things in

  255. this book has happened already. But a lot of things

  256. has not happened yet. I wonder whether we know the

  257. book enough or not to know that that is the case.

  258. Psalms one, tread too says, I will worship toward your

  259. holy temple and praise your name for your loving kindness

  260. and your truth. For you have magnified your word above

  261. all your name. God has magnified his word above all

  262. his name. So friends, you cannot deny this. I cannot

  263. deny this as believers, well, the world can deny it

  264. because the world and not believer us. So they will

  265. say it's baloney, it's storyable. They will throw all kinds

  266. of accusations about the word.

  267. Do you believe it? I hope not. Okay.

  268. The thing that we need to know is that the

  269. word of God is important, and I'm sure, all of

  270. us know as a fact, we know.

  271. The word of God is important. But the real question.

  272. That we need to ask ourselves is that how important

  273. is the word of God in our own lives? That

  274. is the real question. It's not about bivirtrue not true.

  275. I think that one can establish right. And if you're

  276. still unsure about that, then a wife, because your believers,

  277. so you should believe ma right.

  278. How much more proof you need? How much more evidence

  279. you need?

  280. Isn't the evidence of God moving in your life's evidence

  281. enough that God's word is true? Your cash that? So

  282. don't don't go back to that question real not real.

  283. I think the real question is how important is the

  284. word of God in your life? That is the more

  285. important question to ask. Right, And where is the world

  286. of God placed in our lives and in our priorities?

  287. That is an even deeper question. What is the ranking?

  288. Is it number one, number two, number three, number four,

  289. number five? What is the ranking? What do we hold

  290. as highest ranking in our lives? We all have ranking

  291. or no ranking system, our own individual ranking system. When

  292. you come here, when you come to church, you know

  293. we all know how to say the right things right.

  294. We know how we know how to Christianize our way

  295. out of the culture. Right, But the reality of life

  296. is that it's not just about a culture or look

  297. or fashion or you know, it is life itself. And

  298. you know, when we really will put the ranking higher

  299. when we go through trouble in our own lives. That's

  300. the reality. That's human beings. That's the core of a

  301. human being. If you read the Bible constantly, is that

  302. when everything goes fine, no issue. I remember when we

  303. were talking about this in homes we were talking about

  304. kingdom minded or something that I can't remember which top

  305. talking about, but we're talking about like something along the

  306. lines of like when we will go to God when it's

  307. easy or heart you know, to be honest when it's easy.

  308. Most of us won't go to God run okay when

  309. it's easy.

  310. When when when I say even things are going our way,

  311. in fact, we will take it as oh, thank you

  312. Lord for blessing me. Everything's going fine. Right, then things

  313. will start sleeping. You know, when you will really go

  314. to God and cry for help when you're going to trouble.

  315. Isn't that true? My encouragement to us is why do

  316. we need to wait until we go through that. Any

  317. we go through God, why can't we experience him?

  318. Right?

  319. So where is the Word of God in our lives

  320. and in our priorities? Hebrews four twelve says, For the

  321. Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than

  322. any two aged sword, piercing even to the division of

  323. soulent spirit, and of joins and marrow. And it's a

  324. discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. So

  325. if this morning, if there's a word that comes out

  326. from the Word of God, not my word, okay, and

  327. you are offended, and you are affected, and you're whatever,

  328. know that the Word of God is like a two

  329. aged sort. It discerns what is in your heart. Let

  330. me give you another example that is here, James five says,

  331. be doers of the world, not hear us, only deceiving yourselves.

  332. Your catch that it's like the example I give you

  333. just now. I went to the gym, but actually I

  334. didn't really go right. For if anyone is a hero

  335. of the world and not the doer, he is like

  336. a man observing his natural face in a mirror. For

  337. he observes himself, goes away immediately forgets what kind of

  338. man he was. But he who looks into the perfect

  339. law of liberty and continues in it. And it's not

  340. a forgetful hearer, but the doer of the work, this

  341. one will be blessed in what he does. So I

  342. have this argument with this scripture, and I will push

  343. it out to you for.

  344. Your consideration of reflection.

  345. If you have not changed in the past five years

  346. as a believer, you are not doing what the Word

  347. is telling you. If you have not changed, However, for

  348. those of you who have been going through a lot

  349. of changes in life and growing and maturing and suffering,

  350. well done, because you're doing the word not easy or no,

  351. not easy, but necessary. Your catch that it's not easy,

  352. but it's necessary. If you want to experience the complete

  353. breakthrough in your lives, then you've got to come and

  354. humble yourselves. But the reality of life is we're all

  355. quite prightful, and we're all quite action on right. We'd

  356. rather listen to ourselves, we rather do our own thing,

  357. And when the Word of God comes and cuts our hearts,

  358. it is a choice we have to make to listen

  359. or not to listen, to follow or not to follow.

  360. It's a choice.

  361. And the thing that is difficult is if we always

  362. take the choice of not following the world or not

  363. being faithful to the word, then we will be back

  364. in square one.

  365. You know.

  366. It's like playing snacks and letters. You're all the way,

  367. gonna win, ready, all the way, we're gonna break through. Ready,

  368. and then you hit a snake and you go back

  369. to zero.

  370. What happens? Work so hard, learn.

  371. So much, but because they never practiced, because never do

  372. back to zero. I'm sure, no, no, you want to be

  373. like that. But I'm just highlighting this for you to

  374. think about. Right word faithful involves both hearing the word

  375. and doing the word. Not just hearing, but doing right

  376. for me and my house. We will serve the Lord.

  377. It is hearing, But what does doing mean for me

  378. and my house? We will serve the Lord right. Something

  379. to think about. We've got this saying in our church

  380. it is better to know one worse and apply in

  381. our lives rather than not the whole Bible. But don't

  382. follow any of it right. That means we're good with

  383. understanding the Word of God, good with understanding all these things.

  384. But they practice one never do anything one right. There's

  385. why sometimes I think about it. People say, I want

  386. to hear from you, Lord, I want to receive your word.

  387. I want to be very careful, you know, like how

  388. Alma Fast says, be very very careful because once God

  389. speaks her. That's why I okay, I'm on the other end,

  390. I said, I'm I'm more of a skeptic, and I'm

  391. very worried if I hear God's word, because once you

  392. hear him speaking, you have to do it. You know,

  393. you know, at least if you read that and uh,

  394. you know you don't hear Oliver wise, you can like

  395. pretend hah, what do you really say that?

  396. God?

  397. No, I cannot be all again, say get this behind me, Satan, Right,

  398. you go caot Jesus in the Bible. Right, but if

  399. you really hear an audible voice of God, a friend,

  400. you better do man, So be you head careful what

  401. you're asking for? Right, because you're asking for it he

  402. speaks and you don't follow. How do you know what

  403. else the words does for us?

  404. Believe us?

  405. The word anchors us in a changing world. The world

  406. has changed so much, right, so much? It has changed.

  407. Right.

  408. It has changed in terms of people's perception, It has

  409. changed in terms of people's mental health. I mean, when

  410. I was growing up, no such and mental health issues Godlae,

  411. you know, but we all send him to one hospital

  412. in Malaysia, right, of course, not the best. Now there's

  413. small awareness, Now there's small things, right, there's so much

  414. that the world accepts now, you know, But do you

  415. know that the word anchors us. There's a lot of

  416. definitions about family now our friends. But I've only come

  417. that there's one definition that I don't just believe, and

  418. I believe that it is healthy. It is the definition

  419. that the Bible gives us what family and love is.

  420. There's a lot of definitions of love in the world

  421. right now, and they want to accept everything, right, do

  422. you know that this anchors us to what is right,

  423. not popular opinion. Some of us here we may be

  424. sway it by popular opinion. And you may think, I, yeah,

  425. this one now so low told, so old school. We

  426. should be more progressive, we should be more updated. Right,

  427. do you know that people who are progressing updated? Have

  428. you studied the the statistics of the success of marriage?

  429. You see?

  430. Sometimes right, human beings have very short actually not somethime,

  431. most times human beings are very short.

  432. Memory memory to remember we don't remember what we have.

  433. We are very PANDAI very good at like hiding our

  434. past trauma, and that's human beings. That's that's a vital

  435. for us. And a lot of things that has been

  436. said in the past. There's no follow truth and it

  437. just sounds good and there's no responsibility or accountability. But

  438. then there is accountability demanded from what just because I

  439. don't like it, A speaking parables can be more specific.

  440. I don't want to be more specific. I just want

  441. to say that the world can change. However, more the

  442. more I read the word of God, the more I

  443. realize this anchors me. This anchors me for what is right,

  444. This anchors me for what is truth. Let me read

  445. a little bit about what truth means. First, Quarententians one

  446. twenty five says, because the foolishness of God is wiser

  447. than men. See God being foolish, and it's just matter

  448. than us, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

  449. But I challenge that, however, the world evolves, the world

  450. is evolving, evolve, evolve, evolved. God's word anchors us in

  451. truth and freedom. Let me read John chapter seventeen. He

  452. says here I've given them your word, and the world

  453. has hated them because they are not of the world.

  454. How many of you experienced before?

  455. That's why very scared want to be say a Christian

  456. right in your office now.

  457. Of course we need to be progressive.

  458. I do not pray that you should take them out

  459. of this world, but that you should keep them from

  460. the evil one. They are not of the world, just

  461. as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by

  462. your truth. Your word is truth. As you send me

  463. into the world, I also have sent them into the world,

  464. and for their six I sanctify myself that they also

  465. may be sanctified by the truth. There's a scripture in

  466. the Bible that says, know the truth, and the truth

  467. has set you free.

  468. How many you know that? Do you know what truth means?

  469. Truth means that even if you're lying, or you lie

  470. or you do you know that even if you lie

  471. for whatever reason, do you know what I'll set you're

  472. free telling the truth? Do you know that keeping the

  473. lie and not telling and still maintaining the lie will

  474. cause you to eat yourself and being bondaged, and it

  475. will cause whatever is in your heart to get worse

  476. and worse and worse.

  477. What that's truth? Do you know what else sets you free?

  478. Do you know that when you are offended, or when

  479. you're wrong someone, or you're angry at someone, forgiveness sets

  480. you free.

  481. Do you know that?

  482. But a lot of times we don' want to forgive,

  483. a lot of times we want to hold onto the grudge.

  484. And then the longer you hold onto the grudge, it

  485. becomes bitterness. The longer you don't deal with it, you

  486. become the more the more you the longer you leave

  487. something unattended to her, you are bonded by it. Okay,

  488. stand up. The way to be set free is to

  489. deal with it, not let it slide. That's the truth.

  490. Knowing the truth will set you free. Doing the truth

  491. will set you free. I think I've got a little

  492. bit of a or. I apologize for the color blind

  493. tests that you have to take, or the optical lesion tests.

  494. But there's a little graph I have for you to see.

  495. Yeah next, next? Huh? Sorry? Can I see that? It's sanctify? Ah?

  496. Okay, okay, so sanctifies cleanses keep spilled. So I like

  497. to use this example. How many of you here still

  498. sanitize your hands? I know for girls, no because you

  499. know dry right? Yeah, but do you still if you

  500. go to the hospital, do will you sanitize your hand?

  501. Yes?

  502. Okay, So then you go to clan will you said,

  503. if sanitize your hand?

  504. You were right? You are right? I mean you'll still

  505. do la.

  506. I still do even when I go to a shop

  507. for groceries, right, and then touch me and all I

  508. will sanitize my hand, wash my hand, sanitize my hand.

  509. Right.

  510. Do you know that the word sanitizes you?

  511. What do you mean, Pavin?

  512. Yeah, you know like sanitizing, sanitizer. Okay, guys, can I

  513. ask you a question? Sanitize your hand now?

  514. One time? Enough it? Do you? Right? Forever? Right? Once

  515. you sanitize your hands, once you are free forever? No? Right?

  516. Why not? Why not?

  517. But sanitize one once you sanitize once? Should be germs

  518. die forever?

  519. Why not you have to do it again? Right? Some

  520. you're not sure? I don't sanitize my hands? Okay.

  521. My argument is this, the word of God has to

  522. sanitize you. Do you know why he has to sanitize

  523. you daily? Because every day when you go out there,

  524. you might touch germs and if you don't sanitize your hands.

  525. What are the germs?

  526. The influencers, your YouTube reels, right, bad news, interaction and

  527. people that that you don't like, right, being offended, This

  528. are all germs. Not If you don't have God's work

  529. to sanitize your life, how then the germ or Germin

  530. it and German it and German it and Germany it.

  531. And then after that you will start spreading the germs

  532. start to people. You'll catch that because you're not sanitized,

  533. you're not clean, you're not kept here, or you will

  534. slowly spread the germ to other people if you don't

  535. have the word of God in your life. But do

  536. you know that when you have the Word of God

  537. in your life and it's living, you are clean, you

  538. will be kept pure. You will at least try your best,

  539. even if you have to touch germs, right, that you

  540. will wash your hands quickly, right, because the word of

  541. God tells you to forgive on another correct right, That's

  542. what the world of God tells you.

  543. Right.

  544. So if you get offended, and all of us here

  545. will be offended, or something happens to you, if you

  546. don't have God's word in your life and you don't

  547. understand God's word and you needly read once, but there's

  548. no practice. Then you will be offended, and then you

  549. have the germs. And then after you have the germs,

  550. you will spread the germs to someone else because you

  551. never forgive the person, or maybe you're angry, and then

  552. you spread the anger to someone else and it doesn't

  553. help you know. But when you have God's in your

  554. life and you're trying your best, even though it's difficult

  555. to forgive, to be caring, to be loving when someone

  556. slapped his cheek, show the other cheek. When you are

  557. cleansed by the word of God, then you stop the germs.

  558. Is that a good analogy? So you're like, oh, man,

  559. the world attacks the word of God, which is why

  560. we must be faithful defenders and do worse of the word.

  561. That's the reality.

  562. And when I say defender, friends, I don't mean okay, everybody,

  563. open your Facebook. Now you're going to look for people

  564. saying bad things for the words. Start commenting. Please don't

  565. do that. I don't do that. It's a losing better.

  566. Why why do we need to do that? You need one.

  567. The way you defend the word of God is to

  568. do it is to love on another is to love

  569. your neighbor as yourself. It's a forgive on another, it's

  570. a following. The word is to chase after godly things,

  571. is to put God first. That's how you defend the word.

  572. To live it out, not to go and have a

  573. dissertation and a debate with someone else whos the eighties.

  574. That's not defending the word. That is to mia. If

  575. you don't love people who don't know.

  576. God right, you are sending them on the one way

  577. ticket to Hell because you're not being Christ. Was Christ

  578. here to prove a point. No, he was here to

  579. show the way. That was what Christ was here to do.

  580. He was here to love people. He was here to

  581. tell us that it is not by flesh and blood.

  582. The person that you hate the most in your life,

  583. love them. That's what Christ was here to do. No

  584. proof a point. Humans on a profer point. Humans want

  585. to tell people that they are right. That's what humans

  586. want to do. Humans want to argue until the cows

  587. come home and feel justified and vindicated. Jesus was not justified.

  588. Jesus was accused. Jesus was not vindicated. He was humbled,

  589. he was shamed. And if that's the pathway that our

  590. lot to. That is the pathway that he's asking us

  591. to take by c a difficult pathway.

  592. Right.

  593. But do you know that if you know the word

  594. of God, and you know the Holy spirits with you,

  595. you also know that you will be okay because He

  596. will give you strength.

  597. Amen.

  598. John chapter eight, verse three one to the six says,

  599. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed him, if

  600. you're abiding my word and you are my disciples, indeed,

  601. and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall

  602. make you free.

  603. They answered him.

  604. We are Abraham's descendants, have never been bondaged to anyone.

  605. How can you say you'll be made free? Know somethings

  606. are like that. No, but I mean, what do you

  607. mean by that? By the word I? You know I

  608. clop in my Sunday attendance. You know I wear a cross,

  609. You know I got Christian name. You know everything is correct,

  610. Everything looks correct, right, everything looks correct.

  611. I've been blessed, you know.

  612. My My concern now is that we don't end up

  613. in the polygates of heaven. Right, and say, look, God,

  614. you know I've casted demons, I've done all these things.

  615. And then Jesus, who are you are? I pray you're

  616. not reached there? Right?

  617. Don't say that you A'm not cussing. But but we've

  618. got to be careful.

  619. Are we ignorant or not? Oh?

  620. I'm doing all the right things, man. But then it's

  621. not just about doing all the right things. It is

  622. about growing in our faith. See it, it's all just

  623. about doing the right things.

  624. Right. Then, Jesus don't need to come back ready, because.

  625. That's all about law. We're not about law, about grace.

  626. We're about making disciples.

  627. Right. See, if you understand the word, you will catch this.

  628. And if you have no idea why I'm saying, haha,

  629. go homework, go ahead, read no meaning going to your homework.

  630. Jesus answered and said most assuredly, I say to you,

  631. whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a

  632. slave does not abide in the house forever, but the

  633. sun abides forever. Therefore, if the sun makes you free,

  634. you shall be free. Indeed, you don't know why abiding means?

  635. I think I have an example abiding.

  636. Next.

  637. Yeah, So abiding in God's word is hearing God's word.

  638. Hearing we got to hear what is God's word? That's

  639. why probably this is the best format for your There

  640. is a preaching you are hearing. You know nowadays when

  641. I read the word, I read out loud so that

  642. I can hear it. Don't just read in my heart,

  643. read and hear it. I think there's power in hearing,

  644. hearing the word of God declaring the word of God. Right,

  645. and when we hear it, we got to keep in

  646. our hearts. Okay, later read a scripture? What does that mean?

  647. Keeping our hearts? Meditate on the word of God. Do

  648. you remember scriptures? I remember scriptures meant you sixty three

  649. says seek me first, a king of God, and all

  650. of these shall be added to you. That is my

  651. constant encouragement, right, because there was the word I got

  652. when I was deciding whether I want to join full

  653. time or not. That was the word that I got.

  654. And I've seen how when I put God first. And

  655. do you know why that word is necessary? Because there

  656. are many times in my life that God is not first,

  657. that something else is more important.

  658. And I have to remind myself.

  659. As difficult as it is to say God.

  660. First, put him first, right.

  661. And everything else will come together. And so far God

  662. has been keeping his end of the buggan?

  663. What else?

  664. What are the other things that you hold close? In

  665. terms of scripture? These still and know that I'm God?

  666. What does that mean? Well, it means whatever. It means

  667. that sometimes you wanna fight, you want to do things,

  668. don't chill. If God is there, God is there right,

  669. So what is the word of God that resides in

  670. your life? It's not just memory verse scripture, No, it

  671. is things that is living in your life. You know,

  672. things that you hold close to, things that the Lord

  673. has taught you. But do you know that he wants

  674. to teach you more than one lesson. He wants to

  675. teach you many, many, many lessons. So, yes, someone's here

  676. might have a favorite memory verse that we are very

  677. connected to. Hey, friends, the thing about being a son

  678. and a daughter is that it's life.

  679. You know. Let me give you this idea that I

  680. just caught.

  681. It's one thing to be a friend that sees each

  682. other every Sunday. Let's says member, No, I don't even

  683. talk about friends. Some of our friends we never meet.

  684. Yesterday I had passed Sarah and Quantine over. We're actually

  685. were good friends, but we're like it was the last

  686. time Manna once a year ago, we're like, oh so.

  687. Busy once a year.

  688. Gods a kid so in our place and then the

  689. kids they were playing and then they were like, I

  690. don't go back. Then that I said, yeah, you will

  691. come back again then so cute, But when when when

  692. we come again? Because the last time they came was

  693. last year? You know, okay, at least once to hear

  694. I mean, but imagine if let's say, you know, I

  695. see you guys every week, well nowadays not so sorry backslight,

  696. maybe I got to okay, uh so, like you see

  697. each other every week and you grow close, right, but

  698. don't you think the closest people that you hang out

  699. with is your family members? Like, if you're married, you

  700. see each other every day.

  701. I hope you do. I hope you do.

  702. And okay, I won't comment so much. If you don't

  703. like each other, then one let's put it aside. But

  704. imagine if you like each other, isn't it fun to

  705. see each other every day? Those that are still dating

  706. and gonna get married soon? Yes, the reality or ideo

  707. now it's like, oh, you know, I can't wait, I

  708. can't wait. Then we see each other and then those

  709. we're like, right, you got to keep it life. Okay,

  710. what am I trying to say? There is more benefit

  711. being a family member than being a friend. Your catch

  712. that there is more benefit that you have, especially if

  713. you like it being a family member than being a friend.

  714. Don't you think it is more powerful to be a

  715. son and daughter of the Lord Most High than just

  716. being an acquaintance. So then the question is how is

  717. your relationship with God? Are you a son and a daughter.

  718. Or are you just filling the blanks club member acquaintance.

  719. He's just senter Claus that you write a prayer ever

  720. yea at the end of the year to request more things?

  721. How is it? How is our relationship?

  722. If God is our father in heaven, then the words

  723. that he says here is very important for those of

  724. you who have very good relationship with your parents one. Okay,

  725. for those of you who don't have maybe a bit

  726. difficult for you. But for those of you who have

  727. good relations to your parents and you respect them, and

  728. you know they have substances, if they left letters or instructions,

  729. won't you keep it close.

  730. To your heart?

  731. I can say that, and I ask the question. But

  732. for me, unfortunately I don't have much that can't relationship

  733. I think the only people that I really really respect

  734. and I put the count honor to is Pascana for Alena. Right,

  735. so I don't play play one when the text will

  736. what come? I'm like, okay, this is important. Do you

  737. know that God is like that to you, or at

  738. least should be that these words are important? But it's

  739. our relationship. So after hearing and keeping in a heart,

  740. then we've got to practice. Not everything comes easier on friends.

  741. That's why you gotta practice. That's why abiding is a

  742. constant involvement. You gotta practice, right. I remember when I

  743. started the gym, coach, don't trust me with certain exercise

  744. every time he's dead. Now it's a different story. I'll say, hey, coach,

  745. I'm going to crawl into there. I'm not around there.

  746. I said, okay, don't worry, I know what to do.

  747. I'm not going to do overheit weights. We're just going

  748. to do the normal stuff and I'll be fine.

  749. I can do it alone.

  750. So you progress because you practice, and then after that

  751. you can teach others.

  752. Right. Same with our faith.

  753. It's like that, maybe at the first time you want

  754. to pray for people who are sick, you scared. I

  755. still remember when I was in the mission trip, you know,

  756. and you know we hear all these stories about people

  757. with powerful pay mission trip. Hey, when you go mission trip,

  758. but they really ask you to pray for a really

  759. crazy case or no. So I remember I think I

  760. spraying for a lady who was like really sick, and

  761. I was so worried that when I pray for and

  762. then she will meet Jesus faster.

  763. I've come a long.

  764. Way practicing and doing. I end with this, Joshua want

  765. it and the extreme can come up ready. Joshua one

  766. six to nine says, be strong and of good courage.

  767. Let me give you this charge, friends, be strong and

  768. of good courage to these people you shall divide as

  769. an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers

  770. to give them. Only be strong and be very courageous,

  771. that you may observe to do according to all the

  772. law which Moses, my servant commanded. You do not turn

  773. from it to the right hand or to the left,

  774. that you may prosper wherever you go.

  775. Maybe that's the secret.

  776. Maybe we take God's word and then we when it's convenient,

  777. we follow him. It's not convenient, we don't follow it's

  778. very clear says here, do not turn to the right

  779. hand or to the left, that you may prosper. So

  780. if you really want to prosper, don't turn left or right,

  781. just follow on you right. This book of the Law

  782. shall not depart your mouth, but you shall meditate in

  783. it day and night, that you may observe to do

  784. according to all that is written in it. All no, friends,

  785. not some not maybe in the beginning on a new

  786. testament or testament on your follow.

  787. I tell you go all cops.

  788. Oh guys, there's so many types of thought processes that

  789. we have in this world, right, so many, so many

  790. are that is so convoluted. Can we keep it simpler?

  791. Can we just keep it simple? Keep it simple, silly,

  792. just follow a just do the simple thing. Why why

  793. must we get into eschatology? And why is there any

  794. fruit in it? You shall meditate on it day at night,

  795. that you may observe to do according to all that

  796. is written in it. For then you will make your

  797. way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have

  798. I not commanded you be strong and of good courage.

  799. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed, For the Lord

  800. your God is with you wherever you go.

  801. That last promise is very powerful.

  802. Follow in His word, Meditate on his word, don't deviate

  803. from it, continue to be faithful.

  804. In it, and God will be with us.

  805. That is the consolation that we should have then, No

  806. matter how crazy the world gets on, no matter how

  807. difficult it gets, no matter how confusing it gets, the

  808. word of God is true, and the presence of God

  809. will help you.

  810. Your cat share. Not so.

  811. The thing that we need to place is of importance

  812. in our life, really beyond any anything else.

  813. It's just the word of God and the presence of God.

  814. Everything else will come true. I know not all of

  815. us are there, but can we, maybe after today, make

  816. a decision to walk one more step closer. It's not

  817. about being perfect, friends, it is about growing from glory

  818. to glory, from high to heighth, from maturity to maturity. Please,

  819. don't make the decision to just sit and don't move forward.

  820. Don't allow comfort to let us not experience the more

  821. of God in our lives. No, allow God to challenge you.

  822. Allow God to bring you through another level of faith.

  823. Allow him. Don't just stick up the comfort. Comfort. Well,

  824. at the end of the day, destroy so many stories

  825. of people who chase after something and then when they

  826. reach there and they finally got what they want, it's

  827. just meaningless. It's notn't worth with friends, sn't worth it

  828. work faithful. So the same question is ex church, can

  829. we be word faithful?

  830. Can we.

  831. Do?

  832. I get a yes? Can we?

  833. Let's try. Let's try to be work faithful. And when
