You're listening to a message to go from AXTS church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So this morning we are doing co value number six
-
and it's prayer powered. You know, I'm probably the least
-
qualified person to talk on prayer. The reason is because
-
I do not consider myself one of those prayer warriors.
-
You know, I do not consider myself to be in
-
the league of uh you know, some of our great
-
leaders in ex church. But I will say this, I'm
-
a great conversationalist with a lot you know. I talked
-
to him about everything, and I guess how I've seen
-
that work is it qualifies as prayer. And I hope
-
that by the end of this session you'll be encouraged
-
to pray to the Lord more. Okay, now, we as
-
believers do not just believe in the power of prayer.
-
We don't because we believe.
-
That prayer is what powers us. How many of you
-
know that the you know, when you go you go
-
to a petrol station, the what is it called the
-
nozzle that fills up your petrol doesn't care whether you
-
use it or not. Does it care if you don't
-
use that nozzle? Will you get the patrol of power
-
your vehicle. No, so the onness is on who to
-
use that nozzle.
-
Onness is on us.
-
You see, if you take God like that patrol dispensing machine,
-
it's there. If you don't use it, you won't benefit.
-
If you don't use it, you won't grow. If you
-
don't use it, you won't be blessed. So we run
-
away from prayer. And I don't know why, maybe because
-
we think prayer. You know, how many of you see
-
these shows where the monks, you know, the Christian monks
-
go to this place and then they don't talk to
-
anybody and there in their room, and they're paying twenty
-
four hours a day. Maybe that's why we fear prayer,
-
you know. But if we realize that prayer is nothing
-
more than conversation with God Almighty, perhaps we will change
-
our way of thinking. Many of you have heard testimonies,
-
have shared so many times before. Then every time I
-
go to a buffet, I think you will love me
-
at a buffet.
-
You know why not?
-
You will be watching me very carefully what I take
-
and what I don't take. Because as I'm walking past
-
the buffy line, I talk to the Lord, say Lord,
-
what about this this is good?
-
Is that good? Is this good? Is that good?
-
I never listen to my family members. They will tell me, oh,
-
you got to try this is really great. Come on,
-
why aren't you trying it? Because my spirit did not
-
tell me to do so, and I won't no matter
-
how many people tell me how good it is. And
-
of course the next day I find out I'm right
-
now because I'm okay and everybody.
-
Else is not.
-
So you see, it pays to talk to the Lord
-
about things. You know that when we say we believe
-
in the power of prayer, that is doctrine. No, it's doctrine.
-
Doctrine is something set in stone said, it's it's legal,
-
it's something legal, all right. Do you just believe in
-
the legality of the power prayer or are you looking
-
at something that is a lived reality?
-
Guys, I do not believe in.
-
Theory. Well, theory is good, Okay, I'm not saying theory
-
is bad, but theory for the sake of theory is
-
just sad. You want to see theory work in your life,
-
don't you. You want to see great things happen in
-
your life, don't you.
-
Guys?
-
We got this rat problem in the house Okay, it's
-
not in the house. Okay, rats are not in the house.
-
My house is sealed against rats. No rat can enter
-
my house. Seriously. But the problem is there's nothing I
-
can do to stop them from going in the ceiling.
-
How do they go into the ceiling?
-
Well, you know, nowadays all houses are connected by sewers, right,
-
so they actually run up the sewer and then you know,
-
if you go to the house, you see that pipe
-
sticking out the ceiling, and that pipe is actually enclosed
-
with a concrete wall. The rats actually run up that
-
and get into your ceiling. And really it's like they're
-
playing music in your bedroom. It's like the drums just
-
multiply the sound. You can't sleep. They disturb you, they
-
drive you crazy. So what do we do about it?
-
We just do nothing. We pray say Lord, Help, Lord Help,
-
And you know, after praying something simple like that, the
-
Lord will just put an eye and say in my head,
-
why didn't you try this? Now my old house, what
-
I did was I went into the roof and I
-
put Florestan light. And so when I turn on the
-
Florestan light, the rat doesn't come right. But the rats
-
are quite smart. They started biting the wire. They're very wired.
-
Why is the like you know what I told the rat,
-
I am smarter than you. I have the mind of
-
the Lord. So what I did was I actually put
-
the light in a pipe and I hung it in midair.
-
Try and get that rat. I want. God gives ideas. Hey,
-
you're smarter than a rat.
-
This time, what we decided to do was, you know,
-
because of it's quite difficult my size to go into
-
the roof. Okay, this is the hole is very small
-
and for me to pull myself in a little bit difficult. Right,
-
So this time what I did is I tried signs.
-
You know what signs. I tried the power sound. So
-
I bought this thing which I cannot hear, and I
-
put it in the wall and guess what, it works,
-
So I don't have to go into the roof. When
-
you pray and you ask the Lord, he will give
-
you answers. Guys, I was walking this morning. You know
-
when I pray, When I preach on a Sunday, it
-
doesn't come without prayer. You know, because I don't want
-
to tell you things that are not going to work.
-
I want the Holy Spirit to reach out to your
-
heart and say, hey.
-
If he can do it, so can you.
-
So I get up early in the morning and I pray,
-
and I go walking, and I go worshiping the Lord,
-
and I go tell the Lord, you got to tell
-
me what to tell them. You got to speak to
-
me so that I will be able to minister your
-
word to everybody. So the word that we share doesn't
-
come without a price. This morning, as I was walking
-
in the dark before five, going round and round and round,
-
praying for you, praying that God was going to do something,
-
and the Lord shared with me a little bit about prayer,
-
which I will share with you, and perhaps you'll understand
-
why sometimes it seems a say pressed don't get answered.
-
It seems when you pray the silence. When you're a baby,
-
you know your your child, you know, toddler, just learning
-
to speak. Whatever the child asks, if it's not bad
-
for them, you'll give fright now. You'll answer their prayer,
-
their their their speech, their conversation with you, and you'll be.
-
So nice body.
-
Yeah, even when it's something bad, you say no, no, no,
-
this one is not good for you. Why don't I
-
get you something that like that? You know there's always
-
an answer, and you can hear it and you can
-
see it pretty quickly, Craig, when you become born again,
-
how many of you remember when you first were saved
-
that almost everything you prayed for you got it straight away?
-
Do you all remember that time? Am I speaking to
-
a crowd? That doesn't happen? Doesn't? Do you all agree
-
with that or not? Can I see a show, Hans?
-
Do you know why? That is?
-
Because you were a baby to the Lord, your baby
-
steps you were.
-
Taking and he was encouraging. Yeah, my child.
-
And you know when you wanted something, no, no, no,
-
I give you something else, but you got something.
-
So every time you prayed, wow, it happened.
-
And then you came to this time when you were
-
a twin. This is before the before the the what
-
do you call it? Teenagers, before the time. So you're
-
talking about at nine, eight, nine ten, And do you
-
know that this was a time of instruction and is
-
a time where you were teaching the child to reason.
-
This is why you do so things. This is why
-
you have to clean your room, this is why. And
-
you talk to them and you speak to them and
-
you instruct them. But you notice that during this time
-
your word is still law. I want you to do
-
it this way. I want you to do it this way,
-
and only when you do it this way you'll see results.
-
How many of you felt like that when you were
-
growing up that during this time, your parents' word was law.
-
For those of us that are older, it didn't matter
-
how old you were, their word was law. You didn't
-
follow their word, most likely you got knocked on the head.
-
But for the I'm talking about the millennials and the
-
newer guys and all that. You know, Yeah, there's there's
-
a time when you're talking and people are explaining to you.
-
Do you know that even in the Kingdom of God, there's.
-
A time like this.
-
That after you move from the baby time, there's a
-
time where the word has got to speak into you.
-
The word has got to get into you. You allow
-
learning the word. You're learning how to use the word.
-
So when you pray, sometimes you get your answer and
-
sometimes you don't. And when you don't, you have to
-
take the trouble to learn why is it you didn't
-
get your answer? Have you experienced that before? That is
-
like your tween time? Eight two twelve. Let me tell
-
you there are three answers that the Lord always gives.
-
Yes no, and the one we all dread wait wait
-
always is the weight comes in you know what no, no,
-
wit comes in two forms, yes and no, So it's
-
actually yes, wait, yes, wait, no, yes, no, and then
-
that silence you gotta you know? Okay, let me tell
-
you now, okay. If your answer is silence, the answer
-
is automatically no for now. No need to stress over it,
-
no need to say God, why you don't answer my prayer?
-
He's answered you, just that you didn't like the answer.
-
Why not the many people you've been praying a lot.
-
I've been praying for a partner for so long. Have
-
you got one yet? No, that's your answer. Why complicate things?
-
When the time is right, the answer will come. Why
-
do you need to be so complicated? So this is
-
the that that way, Then we come to the teenage years.
-
The teenage years is where you fight for your right
-
and most of the time you're wrong.
-
Why not?
-
And you'll find during this time the Lord is completely silent,
-
not a word from him. Why should he answer you?
-
You don't know how to respect him? You get no response.
-
So sometimes when we are living our life, we're going
-
to ask ourselves, how are we behaving? Are we behaving
-
like the baby. Are we behaving like the eighth to
-
the twelve year olds? Or are we behaving like disgruntled teenagers?
-
Do you know?
-
It doesn't stay that way. There comes a time when
-
you're mature, and when you're mature you have conversations. Guys,
-
how do you talk to your parents now that your adults?
-
Is it a conversation? Hi?
-
How are you? Perhaps you should do it this way?
-
Yeah, this is not working on these kind of conversations
-
with your parents. Do you know if you look at Abraham,
-
Abraham had a conversation with the Lord. Lord, if they
-
are fifty, will you destroy him?
-
Lord?
-
If they are forty, will you destroy What was he doing?
-
He was having a converzation. Guys, that's the ultimate. When
-
we can get to that point in our prayer, when
-
we are having conversations with the Lord, That's what this
-
is all about. Okay, let's move on now. Do you
-
know that scripture says when we pray, so it is
-
not an option. Guys, if you thought that it was
-
an option whether to pray to the Lord or not,
-
let me make it clear. It is not an option,
-
because it is not if we pray, but where and
-
we pray. Guys, if you and I want to see
-
answers come quickly, let's not let the wend.
-
Be too long. That's why I believe that.
-
For me, I'm kind of having these conversations with the
-
Lord every day. I'm talking with him as I'm driving
-
in the car, as I'm walking in the street, as
-
I'm going to the shop, as I'm walking past the
-
Buffy line.
-
I'm talking all.
-
Sorts of seemingly insignificant things with him. Why is it
-
important to be that conversational with the Lord? Because when
-
an important thing comes along your way, you'll be able
-
to hear.
-
I remember.
-
Not too long ago when Elder mable called me up
-
and said friend's father is in hospital. He's not safe.
-
In my heart, I heard the Lord say go and
-
go now. But I don't even know the guy. It's
-
her friend, not mine. Her friend is my friend now,
-
But you know what I mean, Ah, you know what
-
I mean. So I actually said I have to go
-
and pray for somebody in hospital. So I actually rushed.
-
And do you know there was a day that it
-
rained so heavily I could barely see the road. It
-
was such a struggle to get to the cancer hospital
-
in Cyberjaya. Literally cannot see the road, that's how heavy
-
the rain was. But I still went and when I
-
got there, I saw that man and I shared the
-
Gospel with him and he accepted Christ.
-
Can you hear? How are you going to be able
-
to hear?
-
Is if you don't have conversations with the Lord, If
-
you're not tuned to his hearing, how will you ever
-
hear when he wants to tell you something important? You know,
-
both of us, when he wants to speak to us,
-
he will tell me a verse. Then I'll be in
-
the kind and say, you know, the Lord just said
-
this was Hey, he said the same thing to me.
-
We know that's what the Lord is leading. It's quite
-
fun when you can live that way. They save you
-
a lot of trouble. Okay, let's move on now. Prayer
-
is a gift. In case you do not know, Prayer
-
is a gift. Even in ex church, when we, you know,
-
go out to start plans, it always starts with prayer.
-
He doesn't start with our honability. You want to do
-
something in your honability? It is hit and miss. Okay,
-
He's really hit and miss. If I don't pray for
-
the service when I come and share with you. You
-
are relying on as elemibles as my eloquence. How many
-
nice speeches you've heard from such eloquent people that you
-
cannot remember today? True not. There's this thing called ted talks.
-
Have you heard of it? Ted talks? People have just
-
recently come to care for ted talks. You ask anybody
-
what anybody said? Nobody can remember, but they can Ah,
-
very eloquent. Is that what you want? No, So I
-
don't want to be eloquent. I want to be useful.
-
So I have to rely on God. And prayer is
-
that gift that gets me started, just like how it
-
is howed many churches get started. Our God is a
-
prayer answering God, and prayer is one of the best
-
gifts God has given us to connect with Him through prayer.
-
But yet that's the thing we just want to stay
-
away from, Craig. We don't mind reading the Word. We
-
love reading gospel books.
-
True not.
-
I love seeing Chosen though I haven't seen one episode yet.
-
All right, we all love all these things. But why
-
is it we have this diff dificulty getting to prayer?
-
When scripture says in Philippines four sixty seven, I remember
-
sharing this. I hope it's with you, but I shed
-
it one of the plants. Be anxious for nothing, but
-
in everything, by prayer and supplication and thanksgiving. Let your
-
requests be made known to God. And the peace of God,
-
which surpasses all understanding. Will God your hearts and mind
-
through Christ Jesus. And here we think this word peace
-
is just.
-
Rest.
-
Do you realize that the root word for this word
-
peace means anything you can think of. It means your prosperity, wealth,
-
your financial wealth. It also means your health, It means
-
your dreams, it means all those things that you desire.
-
And it's found here that you are to make it
-
known to God in prayer with thanksgiving.
-
But you and I we don't do it.
-
And then we sit on the edge of our beds
-
wondering what's happened to us?
-
When He's given us the answer all along. It's a gift.
-
If it's difficult to get down on your knees to
-
pray like the monks do, then develop the conversational habit
-
with the Lord. There are the times when you'll go
-
to the private place to pray. There are those times,
-
But why limit those times Jesus went early in the
-
morning up the mountain and he had his conversation with
-
the Lord. He had his private the Lord. When it
-
came down, he did miracles. There is a time for that.
-
But you and I we have such difficulty in getting
-
to that place, right, So let's start off conversing with him.
-
All right, let's move on the integrity of prayer. Do
-
you know that prayer there is in integrity? We need
-
to be careful about simply using the word I've prayed
-
about it when we make major decisions in our life.
-
Wow.
-
A lot of people, you hear them say, Oh, I
-
prayed about it. I prayed about it. Do I leave
-
church go to another church, or I prayed about it?
-
Ah? Do I change jobs from here today? Or I
-
prayed about it? Wow?
-
Do you think you are what Jesus had to spend
-
time with the Lord and you just say it with
-
an ending like a full stop, and we expect God
-
to answer. Guys, Let's not live in a dream world. Okay,
-
that's living in a dream world.
-
Let's live in the real world.
-
Praying about it means you have to invest some time
-
into it. You have to invest some time into it.
-
It's not a Oh, I pray about it. You know
-
when you receive how many you receive those prayer requests?
-
Or pray for this person this person is ill, Pray
-
for that person. That person is ill, you know, and
-
what do we do? Or Lord, just hear that person
-
in Jesus name. Come on, that's a full stop. That
-
is a comma. That is some note on a piece
-
of paper. But praying about it would be something like this.
-
You know, Lord, I can understand how difficult it is
-
to go through this kind of pain, this kind of issue.
-
Or it could be. Lord, I have no idea what
-
this person is going through, but I can sense that
-
is difficulty. It is difficult for the children. I can
-
sense it's difficult for my brother and sister, Lord to
-
see their parent like that. God, I ask your Lord,
-
in the name of Jesus, to do something. I know
-
you can do something. I worship you, I appraise you.
-
I know you're a God who's good and you have
-
their intentions at heart. So Lord, can you help them.
-
I can imagine how much of money it's gonna take
-
for them to be in hospital. Lord, can you provide?
-
Do you see the difference? One is a prayer one
-
is just a mark on a piece of paper. I
-
gotta tell you this that this is another. This is
-
a real testimony. Okay, we have three parents that are alive,
-
my mother, her mother, and my father. My mother is
-
eighty nine years old, her mother is ninety two, and
-
my father is ninety four. My father is for the
-
most part, actually his bedridden already. Okay, he can't walk anymore,
-
and he's very frail. He speaks in whispers. He's ninety
-
four years old. My mother is eighty nine. She just
-
celebrated the eighty nine birthday last month, and she is
-
struggling with dementia.
-
All right.
-
At this point in time, she remembers who we are,
-
but she's sort of forgotten. After thirty five years, she's forgotten.
-
So she cannot remember my daughter. She knows something about her,
-
but cannot remember who she is. So you know that
-
the memory, you can see how it is moving or
-
how it is losing her.
-
And then we have.
-
As a Mabel's mom who's ninety two. She's still walking,
-
she's still talking in having meaningful conversations at her age.
-
She cooks, she's still cooking. She's still you know, when
-
you go to the house's You can't believe that she's
-
ninety two.
-
Do you know what makes the difference.
-
My parents came to the Lord late in life, too
-
late that at this present stage they don't have that
-
ability to read. And and you know, my mom says,
-
she prays, and every day she says, here comes the beggar.
-
How you said stop her? I said, you're a child
-
of God. You don't beg until I read the word.
-
And one of the words for prayer is beg. So
-
now I don't stop her. I say, go for it.
-
Go for it, you know.
-
So she prays in her own way because according to
-
her limited understanding. And then my father, of course he
-
will he prays according to understanding.
-
But my mother in law reads tamil.
-
Okay uh. She's Chinese, but she reads tamil. Yeah, because
-
she was adopted by a Tamo Indian family. And her
-
tamil is not the kind that we speaker. I don't speak,
-
but the kind that people speak on the street. Her
-
tamil is the learned tamil. There's a difference line, you know,
-
like I'm sure Mandrin you got the learned Mandin you
-
got run to speak in the street.
-
There's a difference. But she prays every.
-
Day every morning, six seven in the morning, she's there
-
with a Bible on the table. She's reading her scripture
-
and she is praying. Compare her to my mother and
-
my father. I am telling you there's a difference. If
-
you want to be mobile, if you want to be
-
in full faculty of your mind, there's an answer.
-
The answer is prayer is prayer. So we need to
-
be careful how we use our words.
-
We cannot simply go through the motion and think just
-
simply by adding it to the sentence, it's going to
-
be done. Oh we are holy, Now God is not more.
-
God looks at us and knows exactly where we are,
-
which is why I always tell.
-
Him, God, you know I am who I am.
-
You know I do not see myself as somebody great.
-
I see myself as a flawed individual. So I come
-
to law and say, Lord, this is the way I
-
see myself. But I see you as someone who's able
-
to do something.
-
Can you help?
-
And he always comes through man. The things he does,
-
he always comes. The ideas that God gives me is
-
you know, second to none, second to none. It's it's
-
quite outstanding. The things that I have been able to
-
do because of the Lord is so astounding. What makes
-
the difference in my true humility, which is recognizing where
-
I stand before the Lord. I go to him in
-
prayer and I say, Lord, help me, and he always
-
comes through. Oh, there have been the silent times. The
-
silent times are what? No, the silent times are no.
-
So in case you are wondering when the old I
-
prayed to the Lord and he answered my prayer, has
-
he spoken to you yet? No, He's given me the answer.
-
So because there is power in prayer, that power should
-
be seen. Let me tell you, when you pray, you
-
got to see the result. How do you see the result?
-
You can very easily compass someone who has prayed and
-
got the answer from the Lord and someone who has
-
done the full stop. Oh I prayed about it very
-
easy to see. Let me give you a couple of
-
examples in my life. I've now been a Christian for
-
forty five years. Forty six, forty six okay, okay, my
-
maths is bad, mine is not working. Nineteen seventy nine, okay,
-
forty seven years. There we go, forty seven years. I
-
have been her believer. I want you to know that
-
in that time of knowing the Lord, I have seen
-
the Lord do so so many great things. I've only
-
known two churches. The church that I was saved in
-
an ex church. That's forty seven years. I have now
-
been in ex church twenty years. No, not teen years,
-
seventeen years, seventeen years. I've been in ex church seventeen years.
-
Why is it? We were praying to the Lord when
-
my pastor of the first church was going up and
-
down to Singapore and we were praying about whether to
-
leave church or not. God's answer was very clear. No.
-
Do you know when we left our previous church, when
-
our previous church closed down because the pastor left, then
-
only we move. You see, God's not fickle. He saved
-
me in that church. And yet today I get stunned
-
at how people move church. They get up from their
-
bed in the morning, Oh I want to go to
-
this different church. Oh, you are playing around with your salvation.
-
You mean you say you pray around with your salvation
-
when you still go to a different church. I will
-
ask you this question, did you pray about it? I
-
don't mean full stop praying like in a conversation, a
-
mark on a piece of paper. I mean did you
-
pray about it. Oh, I prayed about it, and I felt.
-
Let guys, you don't move on a feeling. You move
-
when the Lord speaks in your ears. If you haven't
-
heard from the Lord, you don't move because God holds
-
you accountable when you disrupt his plan. You could very
-
well have been the plan for that church, but you
-
decided you wanted to go to this church. So whose plan?
-
Who listened to home? Who did what? You listen to yourself?
-
It doesn't work that way, I tell you honestly. You
-
know how you know, you know how you know. It's
-
quite simple.
-
You know when it's like this.
-
When you went to the new church, did you join
-
the homes? Are you worshiping with the church? Are you
-
participating in your programs? Or do you only go to
-
Sunday and then come off home? If that's you, you
-
already know your answer. You copped out. You didn't get
-
with the plan. You created your own plan. When I
-
was praying for Elder mabel Is, she did me. My wife.
-
I prayed for her, you know how long three and
-
a half years. I pray for one to one and
-
a half years before she even knew I was praying
-
for her because whose answer was I looking for?
-
First? God?
-
He's very easy to buy affection one. Oh, Lord, you
-
know I'm interested in that girl? Can you give it
-
to me? And then every day you buy flowers, every
-
day you give a chocolate every calling? Hi?
-
How are you?
-
Oh? Put she falls for you? Did she fall for
-
you because she's God's plan for you? Or she fell
-
for you because you were casanova?
-
Guys?
-
Real questions, real questions? Why do marriages break up? I
-
gotta ask you this? Did God say that was your
-
partner to begin with? We've been through so much. We
-
are now married thirty seven years, thirty seven? Right, thirty nine,
-
thirty nine, thirty six, okay, thirty seven, Okay, my Matt
-
is back today. Hey, we've been married for thirty seven years.
-
Do you know that we still can't do without each other?
-
We don't take holidays a partner. We watched the same shows.
-
We always have to be around one another.
-
Why is that?
-
Because she was God's answer for me? I was God's
-
answer for her. We sought the Lord. How many of
-
you for your partner? Fasted twenty four hours, food and water,
-
lock yourself in a room and pray for twenty four
-
hours can I see a show?
-
Hands? I did? Can you see the difference?
-
That's prayer, That's real prayer, not the mark on a
-
piece of paper.
-
Okay, we've got a little time. Let's move on.
-
So being prayer power, what is being prepped out pair
-
is not an inventor. It's not something you just go to. Hey, guys,
-
you got premitting. Make it a point of go for premitting.
-
You know why, because when you pray together, what are
-
you doing conversing with the Lord with your family? So
-
when you're in trouble and your family prays, well you
-
guess what you get answers. But if you can't be bothered, oh,
-
it's just another one of those things I do want
-
to get involved in. Let me, I gotta tell you this, sir.
-
If you and I are not enthusiastic about the Lord's things,
-
why should the Lord be enthusiastic about ours? And you
-
think we are going to make it to the same heaven? Guys,
-
God is very, very interested to see that the ones
-
that go into his home fit the bill. You know
-
how they fit the bill. He's not asking you to
-
be cool. Fact, you have asked the Lord to come
-
into your heart and be a Lord, and saby he
-
does that, but then he expects you to be interested
-
in him. If you can't be interested in God, why
-
should he be interested in you. Scripture says honor me,
-
and I will honor you. I don't want to speak
-
about the other scripture because it's quite a tough one,
-
all right, but that will be for another time. So
-
prayer means prayer power means we don't just use it
-
as an event. If we really want to see exchange
-
powered forward, to see all our dreams, hopes and visions
-
come through, then we need to pray. Pray as a lifestyle.
-
Jesus said that when we pray, He did not say
-
if we pray and I've answered this question, how do
-
we do that? Was he? Every day we go to
-
our room, get done on er knees. And if you
-
can do that, you won't lose. But even if you
-
cannot do that, if you just converse with Him each
-
and every moment of your life, Hey, I go to
-
a shoe shop and say, God, what do you think
-
of the shoe?
-
Is it nicer? Can I get this?
-
Even though sometimes I don't hear him, But the fact
-
that the matter is, I'm talking to him about it? Hey, Lord,
-
what should I eat today? Should I take this string along?
-
Tell him about worries that I like sweet things?
-
Right? So in my office you got bingjui gay.
-
I said, how it's pronounced? Oh, won't something like that
-
lad ice cream? So I asked the Lord, Lord, can
-
I take?
-
And do you know what? He allows me to take?
-
Maybe once a month, no, every day.
-
You see, if you can be honest enough to answer,
-
ask the Lord, he will be honest enough to give
-
you an answer. Pray it's not an option, it is obedience.
-
It is obedience. You know that prayer hows you forward? Yes,
-
thank you? Five minutes.
-
We don't just.
-
Believe in the power of prayer. That prayer is the
-
power that will power us forward. Guys, Why am I
-
here today? Why am I here today? It has been
-
you know, forty five years since I found a lot.
-
I've been through so many things that would have destroyed people.
-
But why am I here today? Because of prayer, because
-
of trusting load, because of believing in him, Because knowing
-
here in my life is what matters. Okay, it's a
-
requirement to get us to where God wants us to
-
get to. If you're not moving anywhere. If you're stuck
-
where you are, you got to increase your prayer life.
-
Every ex churge plan is there because it has been
-
prayed for, and prayer reveals our dependence. And see, guys,
-
you want to depend on your intelligencer. The worst thing
-
you can ever do to your child is say, oh,
-
you're very clever.
-
Do you know that?
-
You never tell your child you're very clever? Do you
-
know why you are setting them up for failure? Because
-
one day when they sit for that exam and they fail,
-
they will say, oh, I fail because I'm not clever.
-
You know how you validate your child? Well done, you
-
worked hard, scripture, well done, my good and faithful serven.
-
You've been faithful over this. I will give you that.
-
What was it? He went out and worked, went out
-
and worked. So when you validate your child that way
-
and you say, well done, you did very well because
-
you worked hard. Later on, when they go to university
-
one paper they flunger, They say, oh it means I
-
didn't work hard enough. I'll put in an effort and
-
I'll get through. See the difference, guys, who are we
-
depending on? It's Jesus. Jesus gets us to where we
-
want to go.
-
God, through our.
-
Prayer to him, will take you. I'm sixty five years old.
-
I got saved when I was seventeen. I have not
-
changed my mind. Jesus is Lord. I am so shocked
-
at how I see young people leave and come back
-
to the Lord like changing clothes. Hopefully the Lord doesn't
-
come back at the time when the cloak is off.
-
Then you miss out. Guys, make up your mind. Choose
-
him all the time. Okay, every single person who prays
-
and says I really need you God. The moment we
-
stop praying, we stop depending on God. Why do you
-
think I go up at four in the morning to
-
pray for the service because I want you to be blessed.
-
I want the spirit of the Lord to speak to
-
your heart, not my words. My words will come and go,
-
but then you get stuck with it in your heart.
-
Oh, I can't pray. It's not difficult, it's easy. I
-
can do it.
-
We want to ensure that nothing gets us to our future.
-
Accept our relationship with the Lord. Guys, my future is good.
-
At sixty five, my distance to getting to be with
-
the Lord has become very short. It's okay, my wife
-
and me we don't mind. It means we're coming closer
-
to our goal of meeting Jesus. You younger ones, you're
-
a long way to go. We're going to finish the
-
race man and as seeking the Lord, asking for his help,
-
the result is God answering our prayer according.
-
To his will.
-
Praying people will always be in line and aligning God's will. Guys, now,
-
this is the confidence that we have in Him that
-
if we ask anything according to his will, he will
-
hear us. Remember I said, you know the answer is no.
-
You ask for a partner and you didn't get any answer,
-
and the answer says no.
-
It's okay. Keep the faith.
-
Still believe God has a partner with you, because it's
-
a good thing. Scripture says, if we ask anything and
-
it's accordance with his will, he'll give it to us.
-
It's just that it was not according to your timing.
-
So you get married one year before you go and
-
meet the Lord. Praise the Lord. God only had one
-
year for you as a married person.
-
Do you know there are.
-
People like that go through their whole life cannot find partner.
-
At the age of ninety five, find partner age of
-
ninety six, go home, and be the Lord. Hey, he's
-
bliss man, He's okay, one hundred percent. That's what you
-
and I want. We have to change the way we think.
-
We got to put us in line with the way
-
the Lord thinks. And with that, man, I was rushing
-
because I got two minutes to go. I want you
-
to know prayer is the way prays the answer to
-
everything you need, even though the answer may be Wait.
-
Prays the answer to everything you need, even if the
-
answer is no. And praise the answer to everything you need.
-
And isn't it lovely when it's yes.
-
