Jesus Concerns | Elder Terence Atkinson

You're listening to a message to go from as the church. We hope this

message will light up your day. God put in my heart to share with

your message about jesus concerns for us. Wow, do you know that Jesus

has some concerns for us? And even as we head towards the Finnish line,

and we are heading towards the Finnish line, there are two ways that

we can reach the finish line. The first way is Jesus comes back,

and when Jesus returns a second time, we have reached the Finnish line.

The second way that we reach the Finnish line is when we go home to

be with the Lord. So either way we will meet the end of the

line. And the thing is, we want to look and see really what

God has in store for us and what his ideas for us are. Now,

we all have concerns, right, That's true. Right, we all

have concerns, and many of us, if not all of us, are

concerned with a whole lot of things. Let me tell you what we most

likely are concerned with. Okay, Now, the next line is a little

bit of a management lesson. How many of you remember Masslow's hierarchy of needs.

Can I see us your hands? Oh, let's see these hands again.

That's about wow. Okay, do you know that if you're to study

Masslow's hierarchy of needs, you realize that it makes a lot of sense.

It really does. This was one guy who studied what makes people take,

what are their concerns? And in order for us to understand and gravitate towards

how important it is that Jesus has certain concerns for us and how he meets

those concerns, let's just adelve a little bit into what our so call needs

are at the lowest rung, or the thing that concerns us the most,

according to Maslow, is the need for air, water, food, shelter,

sleep, clothing, and reproduction. Look, guys, if you did

not eat for a few days, truthfullier, how many of you if let's

say you didn't eat a meal, really didn't eat a media starving? Okay

for the last one week, we'll think about coming to church this morning.

Can I see us your heads? Honest? Praise the Lord. I have

an honest people here. Yeah, it's true. If you didn't have if

you were in the desert and you didn't have food. And if you didn't

have water to drink and you were in a desert for a few days,

do you think you'll be thinking about Sunday service? There will only be one

thought in your mind water. And when you haven't eaten for a few days,

there will only be one thought in your mind food. Why is it

when Jesus introduced himself to everyone, he said, the Lord has anointed me

to preach good news to who the poor? Remember, I shared this message

with you simply because the poor people. People who are poor have one thought

when they go to sleep and one thought when they wake up. And it's

the thought that rings in your head all the time. Where am I going

to get my next? Me? Now? How many of us know that

if you look around, nobody is starving. So if no one is starving,

then obviously we are not on this run right, Because I think our

needs for food is dealt with our need for water? Is there? You

see we have three bottles of water down there. If you did not have

if you did not have water for a few days and you are thirsty,

how many of you know you would not care who is around. You will

not care whether I'm here. You'll not care about anybody. You'll just come,

you'll grab those bottles and you will just gulp it down in front of

us, because you don't care for anything but to quench your first all right,

So now let's go on to isn't it stranger that the poorest countries are

the countries with a lot of people where a production rate is very high reproduction,

because you see, that's very basic, basic need. Right. So

now when we have food and water and shelter, we kind of look for

something better. Right. It is only natural that having a roof over your

head is not good enough. I mean, you could consider sleeping under a

bridge as having a roof over your head, right, you could, But

it would that be enough? No, what would you look for next?

You would look for safety. You'd like to live in a place or an

area where when you walk out of your door, someone will not come and

snatch your bag. True, you look for an area that you could consider

to be safe enough to raise your children, Am I right? Safety?

Then you'd also want to look for employment. You want to make sure you

have a job in place to keep that lifestyle going. Correct. How many

of us have got such rich daddy ease that we can afford not to work.

I don't see a short hand, so I guess that's all of us.

So we understand we need a job, all right, we need resources.

And you also want to be healthy, right, you'd look to take

a few vitamins, you know, maybe you know, if you were if

you were a hungry person, you'd only look to feeding your stomach. You

maybe want a lot of rice, a lot of rice. But then when

you you know, when you have met that need, you'd kind of look

for I need some vegetables, I need some calcium, and I need some

vitamin C. You look for help. And after that, of course,

when you got these two safety needs and physiological needs met, then you'd go

a little bit further than I want to look for fellowship. I want to

have friends. Man, how many of you those know that if you don't

have one and too taken care of you, you're not to be concerned about

whether you got friends, because every day you're looking for the same thing.

But once you got these things, then maybe you want to join a club.

Maybe then on you come to church, you have some fellowship with some

people. You might even look for a partner. Look of love, look

for love. Then when you have this man, you start to consider yourself.

I'm more than the some of these three things. I need to know

that I've arrived. No longer will driving amv suit you. I want to

now drive a Mercedes Benz so that when people look in my car, they

know I have arrived. But then they don't know it was a taxila.

But it's okay. It's a bad job anyway. So esteem, you look

for esteem. You look for people now to look up to you, all

right, because that's the next thing. How many of you who are looking

for food and water will want people to look up to you. You can't

be bothered. But then when you have these things mat you want people look

at. Lastly, to be able to say I have become all that I

was always meant to be at the pinnacle. I have not just arrived,

but I am me. I'm the best that I can be. There was

a guy by the name of Salvin Hughes. He wrote this book, Marriage

as God Intended. If ever you get your hands in that book, and

if you're about to get get married, you have to read this book.

Unfortunately it's no longer in production, but you have to get your hands in

this book. Somehow, and it's not impossible. If there's a will,

there's a way. If you read this book, you'll understand it's really lovely,

it's fantastic, he says, And I agree with Selving Hues that it

is not impossible for men to have self actualization. Impossible. Do you know

why? Because in order for you to be all that you can be,

you need to have Jesus in your life. What does Jesus say? Without

Me, you can do nothing? And then the scripture says I can do

all things through Christ, who strengthens me. So he was saying, and

I agree with him, you can never reach the pinnacle of these needs without

the Lord. But anyway, what I wanted to share with you was we

have concerns, and these are our concern Our concerns drive our needs. Those

things that are in your mind, They are what drives you to want certain

things. They drive your needs. Do you know that our needs occupy our

thoughts. Our thoughts determine our action. Whatever we think causes us to do

something. They drive our action, and our actions cause our outcomes. So

whatever we are good or bad, it's because of our actions. I gotta

ask you this question. Now, are you happy with the outcomes of your

life. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, Am

I satisfied? Is this what life has for me? Am I satisfied?

Am I am I okay? Or is there something still missing? You know?

Are we Marthas or are we Mary's? You see, the Maths are

are very concerned with doings. What was the Mary's concerned with? Sitting down

at the feet of Jesus and listening to his word? Are we souls?

Now? We just had that message not too long ago. Are we Sauls?

And I'm not talking about the soul that became Paul. I'm talking about

King Saul. Are we the Sauls? Or are we the Pauls? King

Saul wanted for himself what was not his? He wanted the glory of the

priesthood. So what did he do? He took sheep and goats that were

supposed to be slaughtered, and he sacrificed them to the Lord. And what

did the Lord say? Do you think I'm interested in goats and sheep?

Or am I interest? Or am I interested in obedience? You see?

Saul wanted for himself what was not his to begin with? He wanted a

priesthood. But you look at Paul, all wanted nothing but to kill Christians,

breathed murderous threats against Christians. The translation was he lived for the slaughter

of Christians. But the Lord met him and he changed. And what did

he do? Immediately? He went proving that Jesus was the Christ. So

are we one that tries to procure a priesthood? Or are we one that

changes our life until it's given to us? The name of Paul was given

to him after some time of being Saul that lived his life for Christ.

Are we now the souls or the David's? Are we again referring to kings

or someone who wanted now the throne so much after having him that he sought

to kill his competition. But I want to look at David. David was

not interested in any of that. You know what. David was interested in

playing his happy worshiping the Lord. And while he was praising the Lord,

he had the strength to kill a bear and to kill a lion, if

I'm not mistaken. But the best part was he was just the worshiper going

about his own business, and he couldn't stand the fact that anyone would ridicule

God. So what did he do? He took a stone and brought glide

down. So are we the souls who weathered big armor but hides in the

tent? Or are we the David that just goes as we are with one

in stone and see God work? So how are we happy with the outcomes?

Are we? Annoniasus or Stevens? Hey? Look? Annonius and his

wife had property and they sold it. You know what was their only mistake?

If they had come up to Peter and said, hey, I owned

this property. I sold it for a million dollars. I am going to

give you fifty thousand dollars and I'm going to keep nine hundred and fifty thousand

for myself. You know what Peter would have said, praise the Lord,

thank you so much for your contribution. Going peace. Why the property was

he's to begin with, But he didn't do that. What did Annonius do?

I sold my property and here I'm giving it all to you. So

now Peter, under the guidance the Holy Spirit, said why did you conspire?

Why did you lie to the Holy Spirit? Dropped it? And he

did? So are we concerned with what people think about us and think about

our wealth. Or are we like Stephen who goes up and here he is

faced with everybody, and what does he do? He is concerned with who

the Lord? Ay? I see the son of Man, the right hand

of God, and he gets stoned to death. Our concerns? Are we

happy with our outcomes? I want to draw your attention to some concerns that

God has for us. We start with God first, right God has for

us? In two p. Three nine, it says the Lord is not

slack concerning his promises, as some count slackness, but is long suffering towards

us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to

repentance. We understand that God has a concern for mankind. What is that

that mankind will not perish but will come to repentance. You know the scripture

when he says God is not slacker concerning his promises, it means that God

is not irresponsible regarding the words that comes out of his mouth. God is

very responsible. If he says it, it's done. If God were to

say white is black, and we're looking in it and it looks white,

But because God said white is blacker, it's blacker whether we see it or

we don't. That's the kind of attitude that we should have towards God.

We may reason with him, but at the end of the day, whatever

God says is so. God is not willing that any should perish. In

John three sixteen, for God so loved the world that he gave his only

begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

There's a second time we are seeing God share his concern. What is

his concern that we will not perish? God hasn't a concern that we should

have everlasting life. We are sitting here in church today because we have taken

up God at his offer. I'm giving you eternal life. You only have

to believe in my son Jesus. How many of you believe in Jesus showing

hands, guess what. We took him up on his offer. Remember,

God is not slack concerning his promises. Now we have life. I'm getting

to where I'm I want to get, So don't worry. Ah, yes,

thank you. You know I've got this sinus issue. It's called post

nasal drip, so you know, it falls into my throat and it makes

it a little bit itchy. So and that's the good part, because that's

when it's already healing. So I'm okay. In John ten ten it says

the thief does not come except to steal, to kill, and to destroy.

I have come that they may have life, and they may have it

more abundantly. So now God is telling us he has a concern that we

don't perish. He also has a concern that we have life and life more

abundantly. So if we're not living a best life, we have to get

in line with God. So now I'm going to get somewhere. Let's look

at our bread and butter concerns. You know, bread and butter concerns,

the most basic concerns for us. One are the things that drive us.

One are the things that we need. Now, if God so clothes the

grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is thrown into the oven,

will he not much more clothe you or you of little faith man.

So now God is addressing my Masslow's hierarchy of needs. He's telling us,

what, hey, I'm giving the grass clothes. Don't you mean more to

me than the grass? So why are you worried about what you have to

wear? How many of us here are naked today. Nobody right. God

kept his promise. We've got clothes. God has kept his word. Maybe

we don't have design clothes. Death's okay. Remember as we go up the

thing of needs. Maybe we'll come a time when we're wearing design and clod.

But for now, it's okay. In Matthew six that you want,

it says, therefore, do not worry saying what shall we eat, or

what shall we drink? Or what shall we wear? For all these things

were study too. For all these things the gentile seek for your heavenly Father

knows that you need all these things. But seek you first, the Kingdom

of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

God is telling us today we aren't supposed to worry about those basic stuff.

We don't have to pay for it. What we need to do is

we need to seek God first. And in seeking God first, every one

of these things which we need, they will be taken care of by whom,

by the Lord of lords and the King of kings, by God himself.

Is God the sort of person to give us anything less than the best.

Let me give you an example of God in his generosity when Adam and

Eve sinned, they had only enough resources to soar some fig leaves together.

When the wind blew, it left nothing to the imagination, only leaves her

fig leaves. I think it's fig leaves, right, I think so?

Okay, But let me tell you about God. God was the first one

to introduce leather clothes. Do you know He's the first one? And in

order to introduce leather clothes, God had to kill her lamb, and with

the Lama, God fashioned leather where how how many of you know that leather

clothes quite expensive? Trun I bought myself a leather jacket. No, it

was tailored them, by the way, tail it tailor leather jacket, real

leather. It costs me about one thousand. It's very cheap, by the

way, because if you buy one off the wreck, it's something like two

thousand and three thousand ring it. Why did I go for a leather jacket,

Well, it will last me the duration of my life's time, my

lifetime, that's how good it will last. It feels nice and soft.

You know, when you're in a cool, cold air condition and you wear

your leather jacket and body temperature is just perfect. You won't sweat. You

know, it's just so nice and cuddly and won. God did not take

other leaves and so together he went straight from from leaves to leather. That's

your God. So he is saying, if you seek him first, he

will give you all that you need. I'm reminded of a story. How

many of you know avocados are very very expensive in Malaysian right, So I

know the person who runs a soup kitchen. She's a very dedicated Christian who

really cares for the poor a lot. You know what happened. She was

given boxes and boxes and boxes of avocados two feed to the poor. Hey,

the poor were eating avocados to their hearts contented, we buy one avocados.

We thinking, do you want to spend this kind of money? True?

Not. God knows how to feed. God is not sting if you

know how to seek you first the Kingdom of God. God knows how to

give you the best clothes and the best food. Give me a drink.

Ah, Yes, let's get to it now. Jesus concerns for us,

and this way I wanted to get to Everything else was just introduction. What

is Jesus concern about you? Well in John four four to forty two.

This is the portion of scripture where Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at well.

Now you know that the Jews never mixed with the Samaritans because the Jews considered

the Samaritans to be priors in Marasian terms paria. Okay, they didn't want

to have anything to do with them. Low caste, don't come into my

presence. This scripture actually tells you that Jesus is not concerned about what race

you belong to. You know, we're so concerned to maintain our racely cultures

and have got nothing against that. But thank God, Jesus was not like

that. Jesus was not concerned about which race somebody came from. But when

I tell you what he was concerned about, it will jog something wonderful in

your heart. So now Jesus meets this woman at the well, and you

know what he says to her, Give me a drink like the woman that

where I was seeking for things I could not satisfy, and then I heard

my Savior speaking, draw from my will, then never will run dry.

You remember this song I'm here he remember the song fill my cup? Lord,

I lifted up lord. Okay, it's an old song again. So

anyway, so Jesus said, give me a drink. Do you think Jesus

wanted to drink? Really? You read that whole scripture and you tell me

whether he took a drink or not. It's very stranger for someone who asks

for a drink never drank. You read the whole potion. So was Jesus

concerned about a drink? No, what was he concerned about? He was

concerned about drawing something out of the water. The woman was concerned about drawing

water from the well. Jesus was concerned about drawing something out of her.

And then he tells her, you need to get something to be drawn out

from me, a fresh drink from the well of worship. It's not workship.

Okay, there's a mistake there, all right, So it's not workship.

It's a fresh drink from the well of worship. Jesus was attracted to

the woman because of what was the burning question in the woman's heart? Did

you know? Jesus says to her, you know, give me a you

know, I'm thirsty, give me a drink. And the woman says,

you have nothing to draw well from the water from this well. And then

Jesus tells her, if you knew who was asking you for a drink,

you won't ask me anything. But you know, if you drink from my

well, you'll never thirst. Jesus tells her, you know, bring your

husband, and she says, I don't have a husband, and Jesus says,

yeah, you don't have a husband. You have five husbands and the

one you're living with is not your husband. Wow, Jesus knows her through

and through. But you know, his focus was on our need, not

out need. When I'm writing these things that my mind tells me it's okay,

no, and I can read it ten times and it still looks okay,

and then give it some time, and then all these things about okay,

his focus was on our need, not our sin. You know.

One of the first questions that the woman, actually, the woman asked this

question the moment when Jesus said, if you knew who you know? She,

how come you a Jew, are asking for a drink from a Samaritan

from me? That's when you know. She then says, the Jews say,

you gotta worship in Jerusalem, you know, and we got to worship

here. Then Jesus says that the truth is you worship me in spirit and

in truth. That's the kind of worship that is needed. You know,

the burning question in the woman's heart was about worship. That was what drew

Jesus to meet her. You read the scripture. The Piples were surprised to

find Jesus talking with a woman, and a Samaritan woman. That that means

that was not his nature to just go and talk to a woman, but

he specifically, when alone, white to meet someone who wanted to know something

about worship. Oh, this was in the woman's heart. I need to

know God where to worship. Jesus says, you worship in spirit and in

truth. Jesus knew that when he asks for her husband what she was going

to say, Then she says, I perceive you are a prophet. Then

he speaks to her about the Messiah, and she asks who is the Messiah?

And Jesus said, I who am speaking to you? Am him?

Did she say no, no, no, no? Canby why would the

Messiah talk to a woman like did she say that? No? A revelation

of who Jesus was, that he was the Messiah turned her into an evangelist.

You read the scripture. Immediately she left. She went back to the

town and says, I met the Messiah. I met the one. You

gotta come and hear him for yourself. And what did the people say?

No longer do we believe who he is because of you. We believe him

because we've met him, and we know one woman evangelize the whole town because

Jesus met her at her need to worship, and Jesus revealed himself to her.

And that simple revelation, if you know who is asking you for a

drink, you would ask him to give you a drink. That's what the

what he told the woman, and he revealed himself as the Messiah. She

became an evangelist, seeking first the Kingdom of God. And all these things

shall be end added to you. Do you know the question of worship will

always lead to a question of the Messiah when when you worship God, if

you are a true worshiper of God, God will always, through the Holy

Spirit, lead you to Jesus purpose and direction. You want purpose and direction

in your life ship the Lord. That's your purpose. Our purpose on earth

has always been to be worshipers of God. And as we worship God.

He will give us direction in our life, whether we are to be lawyers

or doctors, or teachers, or salesman or business owners, whatever you can

name, and God will give you that purpose. And then as you have

an encounter with Jesus, Jesus said, go into all the world, make

making preach the gospel of making disciples. Right Matthew twenty eight. I think

that's what he said, and we are saying to ourself, how is this

possible? Mia, I can't do anything. Really. One encounter with Jesus

to this woman, an adulteress. By the way, she is an adulteress,

okay, a woman of sin. One encounter with Jesus turned a woman

of sin into an evangelist. I gotta ask you this question. Was God

concern about pointing out that she was a sinner? Was God concerned about pointing

out you know? Who are the ones who are always concerned about pointing out

sinners? Raise your hands. It's all of us. Think about it.

We're so concerned about this person, not right, that person. We are

going around pointing out side. But do you know that your father and mine,

your your savior and mine is only interested in one thing. I am

he Actually, Jesus is only concerned with pointing himself out to you, because

then your life will have true purpose and direction. That's Jesus concerned. He

is encountered with Jesus made and evangelist. What was she? A Samaritan and

an adulterous repurposed. Don't be so concerned with someone sin, Just be concerned

with pointing them out to Jesus. You don't worry about what other people think

of you all she's such a sinner. She's that not important. You only

have one person you need to get in contact with. You have only one

person whom you need to address. You have only one purpose in which you

need to give you a direction to Who is that Jesus. I want to

read through you another scripture John eight Versus one to eleven. You know what

a Jesus concern? You know the world? I always told you, right,

The world is how to get you. It seems to be the one

thing in my message. The world is not your friend. This world is

not my home. I'm just a passing through. I don't know why I'm

thinking all these old songs which none of you will know. The world tests

Jesus. This is in John eight one to eleven, John eight one to

eleven. You know this portion of scripture where the woman was caught an adultery

and they brought him brodheaded Jesus. And now they tell Jesus, what do

you say, Jesus? The world tests Jesus by condemning a woman caught an

adultery. I gotta ask you something. Where was the man? How come

the man also wasn't brought to Jesus. Did any of you ever ask this

question? It's a setup. It was always a setup. They wanted to

use this woman who was known to be an adultress, set up with some

man so that they can catch her, bring her before Jesus, and then

thinking that they can make Jesus squirm. Do you know the world accuses you

and I before the Lord like that uncle today, hoping to make Jesus squirm.

But you read the scripture. Do you know that Jesus didn't even bother

with them. He didn't even bother looking up. He just rode on the

ground. I think there was one time where he looked up and he said

something and then he continued writing on the ground. I mean, how many

of you, when you are listening to Uh, you know, maybe you're

in school or you're listening to lectures and you've got this paper and this pencil

in front of you and you're doodling. Jesus is the first doodler. It's

in the Bible. Okay, while people were all making a loan on my

eye, she's just doodling. My teacher always said that you my not my

teacher. One of my office mays, say, you do that, you

make sure you don't do that with the company spen. Okay, wasting ink

makes sense, makes sense. So now I got I got tablet. I

can I can do that on the template on the tablet that without wasting anybody's

ink. Okay, but that's not it. So now they bring this person

before Jesus and they hope that they got Jesus squirming, and Jesus doesn't even

bother with them. Do you know that the world is out to get you

and it's always accusing you before the Lord? And you know what is the

Lord's response? He can't be bothered, really, and then he says he

does say he just looks up and he says he without saying cast the first

stone. Some say he was writing Murder Theft He could be lab but the

scripture doesn't sailor just writing on the ground doodling. He can't be bothered,

you know, don't you love that about the Lord. No one can make

your God hate you. No one can make your God come up against you.

No one can turn the Lord into your enemy. And that's priceless.

Man. Do you know that it's priceless? Because when you and I stand

before God in us sin, he still looks at us and says, I'm

not going to condemn you like the rest, Go and sin no more.

He is always about giving us an opportunity to change and guess what, we

will fail as often as we try. That's okay, because he will still

forgive us. He looks at our heart. Bible says he knows our heart.

He knows the kind of people we are, and he knows that we

will fail. But what's important, And a wise preacher once told me,

as long as your heart is always for trying to do what's right, God

will respond to that always favorably. I've held that for close to forty years

in my heart, and I know this to be true. Jesus did not

look up tell everybody left. He did not pay attention to them. And

finally, when the noise of rubbish is away from his ears, he speaks

to you. Do you know that your accuses? After a while they do

give up, because all Jesus has to do it look at them and say,

you want to mess with my child? You who's got a fiery lake

ready for you? Because who is the bigger accuses? Who is the biggest

accuser of the brethren? Is it not your enemy? The devil who accuses

you before the Lord day and night? And the Bible says that God stay.

Jesus stands as your advocate to the Father, washed by the blood forgiven,

washed by the blood forgiven. Every time you ask the law to forgive

you of your sins. When the devil brings an accusation, Jesus looks at

the book and say, Hut, nothing here forgiven, Nothing here forgiven,

your advocate. And God follows the letter of the law. He follows,

He is the law. He follows the law. And he says, yes,

So the sin is forgiven, no punishment. The sinner is forgiven,

Go and sy nor more. The sin is forgiven, Go and try harder.

And I got one last one. And now we moved to Peter.

This is John twenty one, Verses fifteen to seventeen. Peter was a failure,

just much like you and I. Why a failure because when we are

faced with our own personal face, we would deny the Lord. Don't look

so hard on Peter, because any of us in that same situation probably would

have done the same thing. At least Peter had the courage to go to

the place where Jesus were. All the other disciples were nowhere in sight,

but Peter came close. And what did he do? He denied the Lord,

much to his shame. And what does Jesus do? He restores him.

Wow, thank god, Jesus is not like us. You are you

want to come to me now? When I was having the trouble? What

you say? You never knew me? Right? You want to come to

me now? Get thee behind me, Satan. Thank God, Jesus not

like that. So now Jesus meets Peter and he asked Peter this question.

Do you love me? You ask Peter, do you love me? Peter

says, yes, Lord, I love you. Do you know in that

first answer of I love you? I love Jesus replied, what did Jesus

say feed my lamps. In the first declaration of Peter's love for Jesus,

Jesus was telling him, you have enough to feed new believers little lambs.

You have enough in you to take care of the little ones. But Jesus

was not satisfied with Peter feeding little ones. So now he asks Peter again,

do you love me? Okay, okay, good, You've got it

up. So when they're eaten breakfast the second time, Simon, son of

Jonah, do you love me? He said to him, Yes, Lord,

you know that I love you. And now what does Jesus say,

tend my sheep? Are she planned? No? What are sheep? Sheep

are older? Cheaper young sheep? A lambs? So older sheep cheap young

men and women are called what children? Right? Older children are called what

many women? And now Jesus tells Peter, tend my sheep. In a

higher declaration, as you grow a little bit older in the Lord, with

a little bit more understanding, as your love for the Lord has grown to

the next level, what is Jesus saying, Now you have enough in you

to look after older Christians, older sheep, older older lamb sheep. You

tend to them when they poop you and clean it up. When they're hungry,

you lead them to where they can find lead them to where they can

find food. You tend my sheep. And now we looked at the next

one. Then he said to him a third time, Simon, son of

Jonah, do you love me? Peter was grieved because he said to him

a third time, do you love me? You don't understand every time the

Lord communicates with you, it's never to put you down. If the Lord

communicates with you on the same topic, he wants to build you up.

We as human beings, most of the time, tend to get it wrong,

and just before our promotion, we tend and to speak nonsense. All

right, Because Peter was grieved because he said to him at third time,

you love me? You know how many of us are just at the point

of our promotions when we say the wrong things or feel the wrong thing.

We don't realize that when the Lord asks us the same question, he is

building us up, not tearing us down. So he tells the Lord,

now, Lord, you know all things truth. At least he did the

right thing. If you need to speak, speak worship unto the Lord.

You know all things. You are the Lord of Lords and the King of

kings. No one can match you. You know all things. You know

that I love you. And now Jesus said to him, you have arrived.

You are now ready to feed my believers. You're now ready to feed

my believers. Do you know that that is a concern of Jesus for us,

that we don't remain as feeders of lambs or tenders of sheep. He

wants us to become feeders of sheep. Everybody has a progression, and God

wants that for each and every one of us. Love restores. So how

do we move forward? We've learned about our concerns. We've learned about what

God has for us in terms of concerns. We've learned about what are Jesus

concerns for us. There may be many more, but these are the three

that the Lord led me to share with you. Do you know that the

Lord always used sinners? Do you know that the Lord also has a soft

spot for people caught an adultery? Do you realize that his mother is not

his mother, but his great grandmother a few times removed, was a prostitute.

Are you aware of that God is not concerned with pinpointing our failures.

He is not concerned with catching us doing wrong. You know what, He's

concerned with catching us doing right when Peter made the right confession. Each time

Peter made the right confession, the Lord lifting him up a little higher,

a little higher, a little higher. And we will end with this Jeremiah

twenty nine eleven four. I know the thoughts that I think towards you,

says the Lord God has thoughts for us, thoughts of peace. And here

we are. We can't sleep, we can't this, we can't that because

of this problem, that problem. But he starts for us a piece.

So if he starts for us a piece, those issues that are keeping you

from peace will be taken care of by God. Then you can have peace.

How does peace come? The problem going to be taken care of?

Right? Not of evil? You know why he said not of evil because

he contrasted with the world. What is the world starts for you always evil?

What are God's thoughts for you? Not of evil? To give you

what a future and a hope? So what are the thoughts of evil to

take your future and to bring you to deep dark despair? But what is

God's hope for us? A good future? A good hope, not of

evil. And that's the underlying thought and concern that God has for us.

Now. I do not know why why the Lord has asked me to share

this message, and I've been sharing in in all the various plans, But

I suspect it's because as we enter the last days, the fight for us

and for our souls gets a little bit tougher, gets a little bit stronger,

gets a little bit harder. Life becomes a little bit more difficult to

live. But God is encouraging each and every one of us that throughout this

time we do not need to fret. We can still live in peace because

He's got us, he has us, He's got good concerns for us.
