You're listening to a message to go from X Church. We hope this message
-
will light up your team today. I want to talk to about talk to
-
us about bread. I can't make bread for the life of me. I
-
just it's so hard. But like bench, Okay, I am the bread
-
of life. Jesus says he is the bread of life. Amen. Wow,
-
There's so many things that Jesus can be to us. The way he
-
shares and speaks when he spoke to the people in the time that he lived
-
in Bible times, um and and what they understood to what it is that
-
bread means to them. And you know, if you ever I'm sure if
-
you ever travel up to to you know, the to to to Israel,
-
to Jerusalem, or to any part of these Middle Eastern countries and you go
-
down to the desert the you know, you climb you you walk into the
-
desert areas and when you look at them rocks, right, they really look
-
like bread. Law Okay, I don't know. And that's why you know,
-
when Jesus went into the desert for forty days and forty nights, and
-
then at the end of it, he got hungry, and then you know,
-
Satan came the tempt him and said, hey, please turn those rocks
-
into rotilla. You can do it, you can do it, you can
-
do it. And uh. And Jesus said, no, no, no,
-
man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes
-
from the world, from the mouth of God. And they're like, wow,
-
he must look like bread that Jesus so hungry could have. He could
-
have, he could have, but praise be under Jesus, a self control,
-
the obedience to his father, and the calling of his life. He
-
didn't. He just told Satan, speak to the hand, all right,
-
and there there, there you go. The bread. No, there's so
-
so much into what it is bread for us. So I want to share
-
with us today what Jesus says. He is the bread of life. Amen.
-
If we look at this verse, I want to read us John six
-
twenty seven. Okay, it says here. Now this is Jesus saying,
-
do not labor for the food which parishes, but for food which endures to
-
everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. Because God the
-
Father has set a seal on him. God the Father has given an approval
-
on Jesus. And being you know, the only son that God had and
-
he gave his son to the earth, who walked on earth as a man.
-
So Jesus speaking to the people, they understand. They would have understood
-
what bread is to them. Don't labor for food which parishes were, but
-
for food which endures to everlasting life. And God has set a seal given
-
an approval on Jesus. Amen. Then we go to Isaiah fifty five,
-
verse two. Yeah, Issa fifty five, verse two and and and he
-
says, you know, Isaiah was writing, God was speaking to the people
-
of Israel, why do you spend money for what is not bread? Friends,
-
don't eat gardaniel? Okay, sorry, all right, and your wages,
-
all right, for what does not satisfy. Listen carefully to me and
-
eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. God
-
is just saying to people, to the people, hey, you know,
-
why do we spend money on what is not bread? So if you make
-
your own sour though, that's real bread. If you buy gardania, that's
-
not real bread. Okay. But if all we have is gardaniel, we
-
have to eat love it. But the real bread, you know, you
-
put the real wheat in it, you put real stuff in it. And
-
there's no preservatives or I don't know what else you put in those breads like
-
ke like this real bread is like you're eating grass. One time I made
-
bread from my husband. He said, why does it taste like grass?
-
Because it's made of wheat. Real wheat is real bread. Nont give me
-
Gardaniel, please love eat my real bread is real. You know, the
-
real thing is healthy. You know, digestion and all. It's good for
-
your tami. But he wants to eat Guardian, you are you right?
-
But that's not real bread? And and by what was God saying? Why
-
do we spend so much money on what that does not satisfy? But says,
-
come and listen and eat what is good because I will give you abundance.
-
That God is saying abundance. Um, don't spend on something that will
-
not last. And so when we talk about Jesus, and you see that
-
verse in John chapter four, sorry chapter six and verse forty eight, he
-
actually says, I am the bread of life. I am the bread of
-
life? Or what does that mean? So I want to draw us and
-
I think we know this God is our sustenance. He wants to remind us
-
that the Lord is our sustenance, all right, sustenance. And they understood
-
that in Jerusalem, in Israel or any part of the Middle Eastern world,
-
bread is a very key uh food. Come or think that they would eat
-
right bread? Um, they won't even be eating rice. Maybe to us
-
you will be I am your rise of life. Okay, In Asia we
-
eat rice. I don't think we eat bread like we eat bread like wil
-
you know where some people love bread. But rise, rise, and it's
-
just life. Right. I am the rise of life. But he said
-
bread of life. So to us who are not Israel, we don't live
-
there, but bread won't make sense because we don't live there. God was
-
Jesus was speaking to the people at that where he lived, and so they
-
knew what bread was. That's why he said, I am the bread of
-
life, sustenance, and and and I'll come to this. I will just
-
draw this in for us as a reminder. Simon Peter in John six sixty
-
eight said, But Simon Peter answered him and said, Lord, to whom
-
shall we go, you have the words of eternal life. Lord, whom
-
shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Now he has
-
hanging there. Just you know this whole chapter on chapter six. John Chapter
-
six starts with Jesus feeding the five thousand with the disciples miracle of feeding five
-
thousand with just the five loaves and two fish. A whole message there followed
-
by that was that Jesus was walking on water and in the midst of the
-
Galilean Sea. And then comes him standing in this place in the you know,
-
the mound, like the sermon on the mountain, and he's saying,
-
I am the Bread of life. So the people were looking for Jesus.
-
They had seen the five loaves and two fish that fed five thousand men.
-
Only there were women, there were children. And then they picked up twelve
-
baskets of you know, crumbs, friends, are you know how many of
-
you know? Crumbs are worth a lot? Another message for another day,
-
all right, But and then they're like so amazed, right, and then
-
they want to follow Jesus. They saw the boats going out. How come
-
Jesus did not sit on the boat. Then they went to look for him,
-
found out he was on the other side of the sea. They go
-
and you read then John sixth right, and they say where you know they
-
you take it up from twenty six twenty five verse twenty five, he had
-
come to Camponium, and they say to him, Hey, Rabbi, you
-
know when did you come here? How did you come? You didn't even
-
we saw you. You didn't get on the boat. But Jesus was walking
-
on the water. Wow, just show off, you know, like okay.
-
Only Matthew writes that our friend Peter had a chance to walk on water,
-
the only human ever to have walked on water. And then he had
-
to fail it like had to look at all the stoma and sink jeeze,
-
all right, but they couldn't imagine how come he got across. So these
-
were the events taking place before he speaks to them at this at this time,
-
when he sits at this place teaching them in Camponium. And so this
-
is then Jesus starts speaking to them. And you can read that from verse
-
chapter six, twenty five, twenty six, all the way right through the
-
sixty over Versus sixty six, sixty eight, Versus Us. And you know
-
when did Jesus, When did Peter say, the Lord, whom shall we
-
go? You have the words of life here. So in verse forty age
-
Jesus saying I am the bread of life. You have to eat of me
-
my flesh, and drink of my blood. That was it. No,
-
this is human sacrifice with God one his people to have human sacrifice. What
-
was Jesus really really saying. He was talking about his death at the cross,
-
the blood that would be shared, his body that would be broken.
-
But he meant it that way, and so it meant a lot to them.
-
Really, if you were Jewish we lived in that culture, those things
-
would speak to you. But their hearts were like, eat bread, I
-
don't know, eat your flesh. And then they thought, this is a
-
heart teaching. This is a heart saying, sorry, Jesus, we're not
-
joining your church anymore. We're living. So in John chapter six, verse
-
sixty six, they left him. When they left him, Jesus looked at
-
the telf and gore, like, dude, you still want to follow me?
-
And this is when Peter says, Lord, to whom shall we go?
-
You have the words of eternal life, Amen and wife. So we
-
will now see it together. And you know as well the sustenance that while
-
we have Jesus in our lives, he is well, not the bread that
-
we eat, but the bread in the form of his word. His word
-
is our sustenance. Amen. Amen. The Word of God. John chapter
-
one and verse fourteen. We see that in the beginning was the Word,
-
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. So in
-
the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God.
-
You replace the Word. And then Jesus had to come to earth.
-
And this word, Jesus became flesh and dwelt. The word became flesh.
-
His name is Jesus. He dwelt among us. We beheld his glory,
-
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father. He was full of
-
grace and truth. Amen, this is the Word. This was the living
-
Word. He is also the living Bread. And then in Joshua chapter one,
-
verse eight, we why what do we see from here? And how
-
can we apply this is? You know the Lord was telling Joshua. Um.
-
Yeah, I spoke to Joshua, saying, this book of the Lord
-
shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and
-
night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in
-
it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will
-
have good success. So, if we want to be successful. We want
-
to prosper. The Lord is saying to us through his word that we need
-
to meditate on his word day and night, your daily devotion, your daily
-
reading of God's word and this word. That time they had the Book of
-
the Law. But when Jesus came he currently he is. He is.
-
He's you know, if he if he spoke to us he said I is,
-
he won't say I am all right? He is all right, he
-
is. He was not a before, he is not an after. But
-
he is. And when you read of God's word, this is the word
-
of life that will bring you the prosper you to bring you good success.
-
Amen, So sustenance for us our church? What um? What truly is
-
the Lord to you? How do you see our God, our Father?
-
Amen? Uh? Is he your bread? Is he your everyday bread?
-
What are you chasing after? Oh? More? Chi chunk? Fun?
-
Hey more sat? What are we chasing after? Here? The Lord?
-
He say, hey, don't labor. What are you and I laboring for?
-
Are we laboring for the eternal word of God? Are we working you
-
know, to buy something that won't last? But he's but Jesus saying to
-
us, I am your bread. I am your sustenance. This is who
-
I am. I've given my life for you. And when and we talk
-
about bread, be reminded again the only way we're going to really be sustained
-
is every word that has come from the Word, from the mouth of God.
-
Today we have the written word of God that becomes the inspiration word of
-
God to us. As well. You have the Lord's word, the written
-
word, and then the revealed word, which is the rama word of God.
-
But we need to read his love letter to us. Amen. As
-
we all need sustenance, we can have. We can take supplements right,
-
all our vitamins right, all of you will buy your supplements. Uh.
-
We add on and we and even you know, imagine our walk with Jesus.
-
We might add on other things. But what is your core diet?
-
It may may it always always be the word of God, Amen, the
-
word that you would partake off daily, um and and and eat of the
-
Lord. Eat eat of the Lord daily. Because one of the things that
-
that Jesus says to us in John chapter six, I didn't have it on
-
the screen, but you can look at your bible. John chapter six and
-
and verse thirty five. Jesus said to them, I am the bread of
-
life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes
-
in me shall never thirst. You shall never hunger, you shall never thust.
-
Isn't it awesome that In John chapter four, Jesus speaks to the woman
-
of Samarian says, you know I can give you this water that when you
-
drink it, you will never thirst again. He was the living water,
-
now he's the living bread. In verse fifty one of John chapter six,
-
he says, I am the living bread. So so you and I are
-
beholding this living water and living bread. Who is whom we are living in
-
and walking in church? We are we being filled? Are we hungering for
-
God's word? Are we hungering and thirsting for His presence more than everything else?
-
What are we hungering for? Some of us are thirsty for success,
-
not bad thing we are. Some of us are hungry too, you know,
-
be significant over some things. We are. We're hungry for more riches
-
earned the whole world. Maybe want to earn everything, earn everything. I
-
don't want the word have everything in this world so that we will be happy.
-
But we're not just called for happiness. Were called for eternal joy.
-
And that's what Jesus saying, I'm your sustenance. You will never hunger and
-
thirst when you have me. And isn't it isn't it not too surprising?
-
In Matthew chapter five when when we're in sorry, you can read that,
-
Yes, in the Beatitudes in Matthew chapter five, where the Lord Jesus says,
-
you know, those of you who hunger and thirst after righteousness? What
-
do we hunger after righteousness? You all you will be filled? So we
-
want to be filled and full all the time, hunger after the righteousness of
-
Christ, which she already clothed you with. When when Jesus comes into your
-
life, there's the beauty of just made righteous and in Christ. And that
-
when we hunger for the Lord. You know, that's the thing. When
-
you wake up every morning, do you hunger for the Lord? You desire
-
to first thing is to taste the Lord, to speak to Jesus, to
-
receive his eternal word first thing? Or are we up with the radio first?
-
Or we check our hand when I aways check my handful when I wake
-
up? Because in case someone died, you know, funeral have to I
-
have to do all that, you know, someone dies, someone's hospital,
-
I do that I check my hadvoit, or some somebody fails, some emergency
-
happens. I always check. I haven't checked with Jesus yet, but my
-
habit. But what do we hunger for? The first thing? The first
-
thing the first day are what are we feeding ourselves with? And what do
-
we really really desire for? I believe the Lord wants to remind us today.
-
May we make him the living bread in our lives. Otherwise we will
-
lack, We will be looking for other things to feel our hunger and our
-
thirst. And there is such a need of a revival of people of God
-
to be revived, to be hungry for the word of God, for the
-
presence of God, to be hungering and thirsting for prayer, because these are
-
things that come together that make us grow, make us live, make us
-
experience the fullness of God. You know, pray such a big thing.
-
Once you read God's word, you want you know that prayer is the sister
-
there already after you read a lot spoke to me that I pray about what
-
God has spoken to me. Right, And so they come together. There
-
needs to be a revival of hungering for God's word and for what matters to
-
God. So sustenance is your main sub sustenance, the living bread, living
-
bread, not versus gardenia or sour dough, but like how we enjoy it.
-
Make the living bread of Jesus feel your heart. And every time you
-
make bread, you say, I'm making Jesus. You know, every time
-
you make bread, you're like, wow, if I can make bread and
-
spend it takes at least twenty four hours to get to us our door done.
-
How about when you wake up before you sleep? I see my husband,
-
really he pays the price for this, but he wakes up really early.
-
I used to wake up earlier than him. Now it's like, really,
-
he's the one earlier for thirty five o'clock. He's out doing his quiet
-
time, reading with prayer. I don't know what he's talking to Jesus so
-
much all the time. I guess he has to because he's leading a church.
-
He can't play a fool. So I'm gonna tell you your founding senior
-
person does not play a fool. He's there for hours. I'm not a
-
wait outside, like can we go breakfast? You're all like you know on
-
Saturday. But I cannot disturb him. He will not answer me. And
-
even if it's something apply doesn't doesn't does, he just has to finish his
-
conversation with Jesus. Like you're talking so much with Jesus. You have to
-
be like Jesus for you. But yes, he's always talking to Jesus a
-
man, halleluish. I'm thankful for that. And then before he sleeps,
-
he won't talk to me or so because he's talking to Jesus again and he's
-
reading the Word of God. He's memorizing scripture before he sleeps. On the
-
other hand, Auntie here looks at recipe. I'm so spiritual. This is
-
your pastor rescue because I have to cook for tomorrow. That also happened during
-
a pandemic. I had such pressure to cook every day, are yo.
-
Now I cannot cook anymore. Every day I had to cook, I had
-
no more recipe to cook. Yo. It also, but just saying anyway,
-
doesn't talk to me before he sleeps because he's reading the Bible again,
-
he's memorizing scripture. And then then that's it's out with a light out on
-
like a light you know, it's done's you know, and he wakes up
-
next mon again me, Jesus, you were always talking to Jesus. Hallelujah
-
Um. That's a good thing, because Jesus really is our pastors living bread.
-
And yes, you'll be listening to the Lord all the time, so
-
that whenever he does lead the Church of God, he has to be hearing
-
from the Lord. So I have I cannot complain every time Toma says he's
-
play he's talking to Jesus, I cannot. And then when when husband's not
-
nice to the wife, Jesus, you talk to him, tell him he's
-
not right. I want it my way. I don't know. The Lord
-
may not do that for me. But yes, this is where that sustenance.
-
How does want any of us sustain our walk with Jesus? Friends,
-
you need the bread of life. You need the man with the living word.
-
Jesus has the word of life. If not, you cannot. I'm
-
walking with Jesus for forty years now. How can I sustain this? From
-
what? I don't tell you why? And I met Jesus. I was
-
a teenager, okay, I your grandma, Okay, so you know how
-
can we some people are How can you? How can you be sure that
-
you will sustain this long? I tell you that's no formula. It's hard
-
work. You need to eat bread. You need to eat the bread of
-
life. It sounds like it's so dry, like eat this bread right,
-
eats our brow without butter and or live it's very dry. Rise on the
-
same lie. Every day you eat sour to Jesus. World also like that,
-
every day boring. Give me new revelation, please, brother and sisters.
-
God's revealed word is there. So it's dry. Sometimes you're like,
-
I'm reading the world or got every day everyde like boring. It's boring that
-
gets you to living. It's not the exciting and the baby or a fire
-
work that would burn you every day you want fireworks, all right, No,
-
you have to have the boring, the day to day that every day
-
I'm reading Jesus talking to me like this, praise a lot that Jesus want
-
to talk to you. And because I know you don't up the meal,
-
I call you make appointment. Sorry VSA, no time, okay, But
-
Jesus, Jesus wanted to talk to you all the time. I tell you
-
what, God is so amazing. He's the most patient god I ever known,
-
I've ever known. I've watched you in other other gods before but he's
-
the most kind, most forgiving, most patious, He's so long suffering with
-
us. So frians, bread is boring without any other deep. You don't
-
put tomato inside and comma with kasha. It's boring, right. So it
-
is so when you read the Bible every day, some days it feels like
-
I've read this before, Read it again, read it again, boring.
-
No, read it again because there therein lies the Word of life. And
-
that's where you sustain and you follow Jesus and he teaches you. That's where
-
you learn all that you and I need to learn in as we progress and
-
grow and develop about the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, allowing the
-
Holy Spirit to minister to us. Because God's Word is becoming aliveliness. Friends,
-
it is the boring that keeps us going. It's not that exciting that
-
only lead. Yes, we need some excitement, we need some fire words,
-
but every day fireworks a bit hard, lah right, So we need
-
some solid word of God. He is our living bread. His name is
-
Jesus. Hallelujah. I'm grateful for the Word of God that hasn't changed.
-
We are living in very, very, very challenging times. I'm not here
-
to say what those challenges are. Not that time to talk about it.
-
But you and I will face these challenges. We may have to walk into
-
the fire, but there's always the fourth person in the fire. There will
-
always be that fourth person in the fire. We will have to walk through
-
the fire. We will be faced with many, many challengers. As I
-
speak to our churches across the globe, leaders are telling me what's happening in
-
their workplaces, what's happening there? How can they make? Also? Do
-
not how to say except please follow Jesus law. I don't know what to
-
say because so much is coming against the believers of Christ. To compromise,
-
to agree with what everybody's agreeing, not the popular just because it's popular.
-
It doesn't mean it is the way of God. Just because it's popular,
-
just because everybody is eating tour door, that makes that the word of God.
-
No, right, it doesn't have to be the popular. What is
-
God saying to us? And so many challenges will come to us, many
-
decisions we will have to make. That's why the Lord didn't just save us
-
and leave us and say you are on your own. No, he saved
-
us, and He's given us this love letter and this love letter sixty six
-
letters in hit. Take your time to read it because they're in lies life
-
for us a man, so that we can us then, so that we
-
can go the long haul and not you know, falter and you and I
-
feel like you cannot la my faith shaken. No, our faith can be
-
tested, but it doesn't have to be shaken. Jesus was tested in the
-
time of the desert. Was he shaken? No, he was tested,
-
but he wasn't shaken. He knew his authority in Christ. He knew his
-
calling from God, he knew his purpose why he came, and he really
-
lived that walk of obedience to the Lord. He knew who he was.
-
We need to know who we are. We are a child of God.
-
Law I want to tell you expound. Last night we had the Thanksgiving night
-
with our teens. John, you'll be very very proud with your students.
-
Our young people answered the question. The question was what is your identity?
-
What have you been learning over the last four months? Can you share with
-
us in their rawness. Their answers were just amazing. Not because we asked
-
them to say it. No, I wanted to dig an find out.
-
Is it you give me standard book answer, because I don't want a book
-
answer. I say, where do you find out about the identity in Christ?
-
I'm a child of God. I know that's the boom, But what
-
do you call it? What do you say you know? And they began
-
to share in their own words, what you know, Selena? Was there?
-
What they felt? They had studied the word that means they all went
-
through the Bible study and then they had to make their decision or their conclusion
-
on where their identity was was anchored in. And so the question was if
-
everything was lost, taken from you, nothing, all the fireworks gone,
-
where do you have? And they still answered, I'm a child of God?
-
Wow? And whatever else they shared, you would be proud to know
-
that your teens, you know, they were able to have that discussion with
-
Pasidena and myself on who they are and what they would stand on. So
-
I went and why because they were studying the Word of God. They were
-
doing Bible study. In the last four months after Chinese New Year, we
-
had finished all the fireworks and then March came in and we all started having
-
our small groups for our teenagers Bible study. This is what happens when we
-
study the Word of God, but we need to continue. Amen. Sustenance,
-
friends, Sustenance in the Word of God gives us the depth, It
-
go deep, it causes us to grow. Why it caused us to be
-
strengthened. And it's very important. Friends. The days are coming when you
-
and I will have to make our decisions to either yes, follow Jesus or
-
no, follow the world. So if we are going to be shaken,
-
and if we are going to be not sure who our anchor is, who
-
is our living Word that was made flesh to us, and we cannot trust
-
God and we won't be able to make the stands to finish the race.
-
Remember, Heaven rules towards the finishing line. This is important. But us
-
the heaven rules, God reigns, and we are walking and running towards the
-
finishing line. But we will not finish at the finishing line if we don't
-
have the Word of Life, the Bread of Life, anchored deep in our
-
spirit. Man, that no matter what comes, we know that we know
-
that we know He is our living bread and we are anchored in him.
-
Amen. And really we want to really meditate on this Word of God.
-
So Church, you hear these messages. You're in year out fifty two weeks
-
of messages, and you said you have to read the Bible. I want
-
you to take it as if you're making sour dolla, and you read it
-
la and tell yourself some days it's dry, but I need it. And
-
you read verse five verse and you said, I don't understand nor don't say
-
that. You don't understand how sourdo is going to come back, but you
-
still tried, right, So if you can do that for sour dough,
-
you can do that for the living word. You may not understand why the
-
fella put her hands on the cow's head, don't worry. Read it first,
-
because we can teach you weekend. Have Bible study, just because you
-
don't understand why the hands on a cow's head and a cow look at you
-
like that. You know, Yeah, the sin was imputed on the cow.
-
Okay, the bull like Jesus took our sin imputed on him so that
-
we can be set free. See, if you read it slowly, slowly
-
and try it, you will get sour door finally. Unfortunately I didn't try
-
it. So yeah, sustenance, Amen, sustenance, He sustains us.
-
Moving on, Hallelujah. Time is flying out the power source, first as
-
sustenance, second as power source. Where is our source of life? Amen?
-
You know I looked at John chapter six again, just starting from chapter
-
six, verse twenty eight. You know the people Jesus said to them about
-
in the Jesus was telling them in the earlier verse before verse twenty eight,
-
he said, don't labor for the food which parishes. Come on, he
-
says, you know, but you know, labor for food that will lead
-
to everlasting life, which the Son of God will give you, and because
-
the Father has put a seal on it. And then the next question in
-
verse twenty eighth, they say, Jesus, what shall we do that we
-
may work the works of God? Wow? They were excited, they were
-
stirred up. So tell us, Lord, how can we work the works
-
of God like how you? And of course Jesus said, I am the
-
brain of life. If you believe in me, you have the ability,
-
the power sauce to work the works of God. To work the works of
-
God means to do what Jesus did, to speak the Gospel, to live
-
your life as assault and light, to heal the sick, to pray for
-
those who are you know, going through very difficult times. Maybe they need
-
deliverance. I don't know, Jesus saying, hey, I am that power
-
sauce. So they're asking, tell us how we can work the works of
-
God. This is this is called you need the proof producer. Allow you
-
are to where's the proof? Where's the proof? They're saying, where's the
-
proof? Jesus said, but I am that I am that power sauce.
-
And they're like, oh, man, I'm gonna eat this bread and dring
-
this blood. No right, that's tough for them. But for us today,
-
what must we do that we may work the works of God? Friends,
-
we need that, we need the encounter. We need that experience of
-
God in our lives. So you say, by Heaven, why don't you
-
try? Then he is our power. Sauce X Chapter one, verse eight
-
says, but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.
-
Then you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judeeah,
-
in Samaria, to the end of the earth. Jesus did not speak this
-
just for the truelth disciples. It's for all of us that we will receive
-
dynamite power. This word power in the Greek is dona douna mess is dynamite,
-
dynamite power boom all right, just transforms that which comes in contact.
-
And it says you are to be God's witnesses, to witness for the Lord
-
in your hometown, right here in cal and nearby buttaling Jaya, all right,
-
in Samaria and to the ends of the earth. That's the power source.
-
It's the Holy Spirit, Church. Do not throw away your Holy spirit,
-
doing heart, let go of Holy Spirit. Hold onto him. He
-
lives in us. Hallelujah. That's the power that's in us in order for
-
us to work the works of God. And then in John fourteen twelve,
-
it says, this is what Jesus says to us. It's for us.
-
I say this to the Lord time and again, because Jesus said, most
-
assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works
-
that I do, he will do also, and greater works than these he
-
will do. Come on, everybody, say greater greater works h that I
-
will do. You don't say greater works than these that I will do?
-
You will do? Did you know that? That means if Jesus raised the
-
dead, you can raise them ten times. My husband does this all the
-
time we go for funeral. He goes to the we can see the uncle
-
Auntie right, and I can hear him saying under his bed, Jesus,
-
especially when they're young, rise upstanding there going like please, Lord, don't
-
okay, I'm being faithless. You know, I believe Jesus gat but I'm
-
okay, I'm this wife, this unbelieving wife. Jesus. Well, he
-
really puts his faith. You need to rise up the dead law. He
-
practices it life, he rise up. He doesn't. It's time for him
-
to go. Thank you Jesus. Same but this doubting wife. He don't
-
embarrass me and see me all about the embarrassment? Is it because of people
-
will look at us and then embarrass you. I'm sorry, I'm mostly your
-
pastor I'm real. Say my husband he would try it, or you praise
-
the Lord? He really? How has he raised any? Did not yet,
-
but he will keep trying. And um, it was like, yeah,
-
you know, greater works than the sauce of the sauce, the what
-
is the power source? The power sauce? Baby, you don't feel it
-
yet, but it's time to practice it people, because the times are coming.
-
Not it's coming. The birth pangs like how baby would be birth?
-
The birth pangs of the end times is coming up. You know that economy
-
is going hey whire, Some people went into the went into some investment rights.
-
Some people even you know, Judge, lost a lot of money and
-
or lost on whatever. You cannot say, this is for sure the only
-
thing that is sures your sustenance, which is the bread of life. So
-
therefore he has not only to be our bread, our sustenance, he has
-
to be our power sauce. And this power sauce is not just for you
-
to experience. Come on, Moses had an experience with the burning bush.
-
That's why he could walk up rock up to Pharaoh and say, let my
-
people go. God, my father is saying that everyone had that encounter.
-
Abraham had that person I encounter with the Almighty God for him to then say,
-
yeah, I'm going to be a father of many nations and then build
-
a ten there and in time he you know, he had Isaac and from
-
then on Jacob. So we all need an encounter Paul un Then Saul had
-
an encounter with Jesus that turned his life around. Brand sisters, what about
-
you and me? Are we just about the Okay, born a Christian family.
-
Don't don't do this to Harper. She's born a Christian family, but
-
she needs an encounter. Amen, Amen, right. Maya needs an encounter
-
with Jesus. Because God has no grandchildren. He only has children. Praised
-
the Lord, so that you and I will always be young forever we're children
-
and children. The power source is our Father, God, who says to
-
us, who's saying to us, said, Hey, greater works than this
-
shall you do. But you won't be on your own. I'm giving you
-
the Holy Spirit. The powers of His Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit alive
-
in you and me. Every morning I tell the Holy Spirit, I say,
-
sometimes i'm so busy, Holy Spirit, I forgot that you're there.
-
Seriously, so much work to do, or we can even forget the Holy
-
Spirit there to help us, because just so so much. I do have
-
a lot. I'm doing God's work, but I can't forget that the Holy
-
Spirit is there, and I like, I repent a lot. I'm so
-
sorry that I got so busy I forgot to ask you that actually you could
-
have helped me with this situation. Some days it can the business of life
-
takes over and I stop, like forget to lean and ask Holy Spirit for
-
help. And but when there are days when you're just walking with him and
-
you know he's okay, how do I do this? Where do I gom?
-
You know they are going to be tough to How do I handle this?
-
Conversation's tough conversation. I don't like confrontation. It's Holy Spirit. Please
-
help me. He's there helping us. If you don't start doing the small,
-
how then you you will say I cannot do the big. This power
-
source is with you as you go back to your work place. Guys,
-
more of you are in the marketplace than you are full time. But if
-
you are called to full time, there is a purpose and reason. But
-
if you're out in the marketplace, that's why God wants you to shine a
-
salt and light. The power source needs to flow. Someone not well try
-
give you step up and say can I pray for you? Can I pray
-
for you? Wow? It takes one time you do, and then you
-
will begin to be able to do a little bit more or even ask how
-
you feeling today? Oh? I just heard someone in your families? Can
-
we have those conversations? Have enough of the ask God for courage. That's
-
why the Holy Spirit, say, Holy Spirit gave me courage today to just
-
find you know, someone in my office today needs and encouragement. Who could
-
that be? I don't know. It could be a smile, It could
-
be just a word that you don't know the word. But the Lord will
-
give you a word greater works than this. You may not okay, you
-
haven't raised the dead. You could drive the coach was deadline, raised him
-
up. I don't want roaches, lad nor la. But yeah, you
-
pray for the seat, then pray for the little thumb that's hurting, pray
-
for the migraine, and and pray with all your heart full of faith.
-
Lord, I believe you can heal. And you know we do this when
-
we go out for mission Streep. That's why we must do our mission street
-
right, hallelujah, Amen ha, that's what That's what happens at a mission
-
Streep. We're so focused, we're so full on that everything happens. The
-
healing takes place, the deliverance takes place. People get set free. I
-
don't know why you have a wife. Because we're focused. You must make
-
a mission strip. Come come with us, chang my oh awesome trip we
-
had and I want to say to Umpunk the homes that took um, your
-
guy and I out, they are so grateful and because of what you did,
-
they took care of me and passed us so well. And they took
-
home espresso. They've never done espresso. When they saw what you did,
-
they took it back. When I when we went for the conference for a
-
training session, they had sold and they laid out the table. I'm like,
-
whoa whoo. And then then they're like, we learned this, okay,
-
we learned this a conference, you know, and uh, and they
-
were so blessed. But they said they remember the ape one I think it
-
was Julie and h and uncle what's his name? Bonnie? I just texteday,
-
where are you all right? And uh, you know, thank you
-
so much. They said, we were so blessed, and they were just
-
blessed at the way you took them out planned and organized. So when we
-
went, they were already planned, organized and ten Andrew was saying, they've
-
never done this before. Usually it ware to eat. It were to eat
-
today, like, oh, yes, we're going here with research already.
-
We're going here for dinner, We're going here for lunch, are you?
-
Oh? We were blessed to be. We were overflowing, cannot eat already.
-
So because you blessed them, exam ba who well done, well done.
-
They was so blessed by you that they learned from you your hospitality,
-
and they wanted to bless us. And they all gave us a send off.
-
When we went back flying out, they all came to the airport.
-
I thought, no need la, it's okay. All came to the airport
-
and said in McDonald's and and we all chatted. Okay, so power the
-
source of power. Friends, come on, it's it's not it's not fun
-
to live mediocre. It's not exciting because you know, it's not exciting even
-
your work. Some of you tell me how you all need a change of
-
work law because he's boring. Really, because you know you want some fireworks,
-
you want something new, you know, different things. So how much
-
more your own faith in Christ? It's so really you want you want that
-
that every day, that every day he's He's not a one day god of
-
miracles, He's an everyday god of miracles. Some people felt some people feel
-
like all the days of miracles are over. No, friends, Jesus is
-
the living bread. He's the living water. So he's an everyday miracle working
-
God. Do you need a miracle? Don't be scared to us him.
-
I don't know even if you need fiecense ask him. Lah, yeah,
-
yeah, we all out like I don't bother la so busy God, No
-
need fiscense? Are going big on the floor of one church? No?
-
Ask him? Then maybe you'll find one there. Fns so small, so
-
small. Sometimes we need that fiscense change, but the power source Church we
-
cannot. We won't have the more if we don't ask and we don't experience
-
the Holy Spirit already working in us, that the greater works than Jesus did.
-
So we must exercise of the healing the prey for the difficult thing,
-
that situation, that the miracle that we need. You know, the result
-
is in the Lord's hands. It's not so much results in our hands,
-
is in God's and whatever God wants to do. But my part is not
-
I'm going to ask you for it if it happens, if it, you
-
know, like what like what Selena said, Yeah, it's so what if
-
he doesn't answer, But my part is I'm going to talk to him however
-
God wishes to answer us. I will still worship him and man, I
-
will still experience the of the Holy Spirit. So he's our power source.
-
Um. So many times friends healing for me, especially just the ministry of
-
healing the reality of God healing us. So for first, practice on yourself.
-
So I practice on myself and saw all these cists disappear. God heal
-
the I had a bleeding problem. God heal. Sometimes got headaches, sometimes
-
got some pain here and then sometimes just like go away, Jesus name,
-
not my name, Jesus name. Practice on ourselves so that we can practice
-
on others. And when I say practice means we can pray for others and
-
believe God for his power to move. Just because it doesn't happen the first
-
time, don't stop, try again and again and again. Right now,
-
come on, people, I speak to the guys. Okay, her little
-
boys, right you like one girl, you try one time, she said
-
no, You try, second time, say no again, third time?
-
Maybe lah, you know when you don't give up work Okay, that girl
-
cannot right. I mean, I mean, I'm not saying gold fishing lad,
-
but I'm just saying you pray for Sla this lady. Okay, she's
-
rejecting me. She doesn't know what she's missing out. Then I go to
-
the Hello, and are you praying? You know? I mean some girls
-
just rejected you. You know they lost it? Uh right? M yeah,
-
yeah they lost. Sorry you're lost. I'm a great man of God
-
and man okay, so great at work? Then these will you and I
-
do? Just do something? Take this world? Ask a lot? What
-
must I do to do the works of God tomorrow? You're out there in
-
the marketplace already, You're at your office. You've got a difficult boss,
-
you've got a difficult colleague, you've got a big project, you've got a
-
sales kapie. What is it that you can ask? Try it on yourself
-
so that you can share it with someone else and pray with them. I
-
got to do that. You've got to do that. It's an everyday thing
-
for me. Every day I'm asking the Holy Spirit, no show me some
-
some somebody I could speak to. Okay, But I end up going where
-
I tell you why I do. I actually go to the Pallative Care sun
-
met and we have tied up. So I get calls and I somehow got
-
opens my window and they say someone needs you, like a chaplain to go
-
in. Now they only have twenty four hours to live forty eight hours.
-
I don't know how long more, but they're already in palative care. So
-
when I prayed the press and Loo, I want something outside of the four
-
walls, I'm really doing what I do. I want more. And then
-
this sun Met opened up through doctor Jail's friends. So a few of us,
-
whenever the call comes, whoever is free, we actually immediately drive out
-
there and go. And so far only ones I couldn't, and some are
-
another pastor did it. But most times I'll just ride out right up to
-
the sun Sunway Hospital and go and stand with. Some are international, some
-
are locals. They don't have a church in k l so we become their
-
chaplain and we just helped them. True, sometimes pray for the person.
-
Usually the person's already not able to respond, so we pray for them.
-
We take communion with the family, and I asked God for that opportunity.
-
Who knows when we pray that person might get healed. I gotta try.
-
I've got to just try, isn't it. I Mean the family is so
-
sad, they need comfort and need help. So when I when I remember
-
praying this prayer, like what else could I do in my community? And
-
sun met opened up and they've been calling us and you know what, you
-
know what the reason when I went I was so shocked. The person who
-
guide, who helped me to meet a patient's wife man was already in coma,
-
was a Muslim nurse. I think she thinks my name is Pasta.
-
Hi Pasta. I'm Sandra, Hi Pasta. And she took me through the
-
whole list of what was happening to the patient, what was going on,
-
And then I said this person from k oh Yes. I say, oh,
-
do they have a church nearby? They do? She knows everything?
-
She said yeah. I said, oh, why aren't they calling their own
-
past I also want to know why she don't call it? Okay, minister
-
dude. After I finish everything and went through this with the patients um wife,
-
then then I called her to say I'm going by and so why did
-
you make a change in her life? You know? She asking I would
-
say, okay, did you did you manage to speak to her? Okay?
-
I can't know if you speak good English, then I'm like, I
-
hope so, I mean I won't know right because the person won't be telling
-
me I'm fine, but I just mean it. S I pray, and
-
it's just amazing that I can just talk with a nurse. I won't meet
-
someone like this every day, but they now know me already. So that's
-
why the doctor's very comfortable. Say can you just nurso? And so she
-
will walk you through because I'm busy. You should the doctor goes in with
-
me, but cannot, so I get to go into ice you that kind
-
of thing, and just pray with the power source. Right, So it's
-
I haven't raised any date yet, I haven't seen anyone, but the power
-
source is God sends me in there a minister to the living, and I
-
pray that hopefully those who need to rise up again will have a chance.
-
I don't know, but the living who don't know Christ, not serious with
-
Christ, will be serious again with Christ. Amen, think about tomorrow.
-
You're going back to your workplace. What is it? Ask God for an
-
opportunity draw from the power. I got the power. Okay, you got
-
it? Amen? All right? The third point as we close, sure
-
promise sure sure okay, as the first one as sustenance too, He's our
-
source. And three sure sure sure promise. Why do I say, sua
-
promise? John six forty. And this is the will of him who sent
-
me, that everyone who sees the sun and believes in him may have everlasting
-
life, and I will raise him up at the last day. Friends,
-
look at this verse again, And this is the will of God who send
-
me. Jesus says that everyone who sees the sun and believes in him may
-
have everlasting life. How many of you have ever lasting life? Yeah,
-
come on, you know not. You know you've seen the sun. You
-
experienced Jesus, so you have ever lasting life, and he will raise you
-
up at the last day. We will be raised up. So if if
-
I'm not here anyone, because I quite already, a might something might happen
-
to me. But you will see me in the sky maybe darn right.
-
When Jesus comes again, we will raise us up. He says he will
-
raise up the last day. So I tie this into Second Peter, chapter
-
three, verse nine. Second Peter three nine that says the Lord is not
-
slack concerning his promise? What promise that he's coming again? The Lord is
-
not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness. But but it is
-
long suffering towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that all
-
should come to repentance. Come on, read that again. The Lord is
-
not slack concerning is promised the everlasting life that he promises, as some might
-
counted slackness from two thousand years ago, still saying Jesus coming coming, hello,
-
not check, come why because God is patient with us, not willing
-
that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. What is
-
it for us? I say, sure's your promise. This is your promise.
-
Don't lose it that you will have You have everlasting life today. You
-
are in Christ, You accept Christ. You know He's forgiven you and me.
-
God has forgiven us, taken all our sins, given us the righteousness
-
in him, and He's empowered us by his Holy Spirit. Amen. And
-
he has called us to be his witnesses. And we are walking, and
-
we are walking with Jesus, and we're saying, let's practice our faithor let's
-
make some sour all. Let's let's allow our lives we fill with God's living
-
world day daily and experience His power flowing through us. So much can happen
-
through our lives. As the Word of God lives in us. We experience
-
the grace of God. We experience healing. We you know, we we
-
experience his forgiveness off and on we get upset, we get angry. Howla
-
have to practice the lords is forgive those who have trespassed against us, and
-
then forgive that. And then also we ask God for forgiveness or sola right,
-
and forgive those to trespass against you. You trespass against people. We're
-
learning, we're walking in the Lord right. But the sure promise is that
-
he never goes back on his word. And and this is it. He
-
says, you will have everlasting life, and I will raise you up,
-
and I will raise you up whichever way. Maybe some of you will live
-
until the coming of the Second the second coming of the Lord. You actually
-
see him, how you know? Bible says we're all going to see him
-
in the sky. Well, we're living in this part of the world.
-
Which if he's in Middle East, he's coming through the Golden Gate, it's
-
in Israel. I think you know what it's going to be used yeng yang
-
jang. We gonna wi fi. I don't know at the think that goes.
-
Everybody can see all at the same time, I thinks to our hand
-
for love, but I know technology is going to be even way better.
-
Right, Oh, so it cannot be a Jesus is coming. Jesus coming.
-
No, if Je's gonna come, everybody's gonna see it, and everyone's
-
see the real Jesus and he's gonna come. So he said, I'm promising
-
you that you have everlasting life in me. But then, come on,
-
don't think that I'm lacking. I'm so slow in coming that you want to
-
give up. Don't give up, don't give up. Okay, a second
-
Thessalonians three thirteen, I think says that you're doing good. You're doing good.
-
Don't give up. Keep doing what you're doing. Keep doing what you're
-
doing, Keep doing what you're doing, because that is who you're called to
-
be, being His of love and grace. Amen. I'm just thinking,
-
when may we may? We know how the promise that we have is much
-
more than your fixed deposit is. Who does fixosa? I don't know.
-
I don't know, Yola and mey see a lot of things I don't have.
-
Okay, your mutual funds, you're this fund, you're dead fund,
-
and we're building our wealth. I want to ask, tell you, if
-
you're building your wealth on earth, you know that it will not last.
-
Build your wealth in the kingdom of Heaven. Seek you first the Kingdom of
-
God, and all these things shall be added. Unto you. I think
-
we forget what we're seeking and whose kingdom we're building. I pray that you
-
and I are building God's kingdom, meaning that which will last, that which
-
will last. Why do we spend money for that which will perish, but
-
we need a labor for that which will last. So it's a reminded us.
-
If the living Bread is living in us Jesus, the Living Word,
-
hallelujah. He's our sustenance. If this is your greatest treasure, yeah,
-
there is where your heart will be. So I ask us, where is
-
our heart? Is our heart where Jesus is? Or is our heart in
-
something else? It will culminate for us as you and I walk walk in
-
the light, as we live in Jesus. How it will all help us
-
to know Christ deeper and to make Christ's love known to others. Don't keep.
-
Don't keep your precious promise to yourself. You must share with someone else.
-
You gotta share, even if it means sharing to your own child.
-
Moms and dad's discipling your own children. It's one of the best gift you
-
can give your children. Amen. Matthew twenty eight says, going into all
-
the world and make disciples. Our children can be our disciples. Don't wait
-
for us team's ministry to do it. Who ex kids, Let's start with
-
the parents number one. Number two, you're in your workplace, you're in
-
your family, you're in your universities. The sustenance, the Lord who sustains
-
is also your power source, and he has a sure promise not only for
-
you, but for everyone who has yet to known him. He's a sure
-
promise of everlasting life. That's our hope. Friends. I cannot preach anything
-
else because otherwise that means I don't believe that. I don't preach it.
-
But if that's what God has spoken to me, and this is the living
-
world, then I want to bring hope to that other person. Oh,
-
all of us need a little bit of hope. All of us need a
-
little bit of heaven. We all do. We need a little bit of
-
heaven during our exam time, we need a liver heaven. When we're doing
-
family, we need a little bit of heaven in our business. We need
-
a little heaven in our marriage. We need a little bit of heaven in
-
everything that we're doing, because that is the hope we have in Jesus.
-
And if we have been filled by it, let's scoop in a bit and
-
share it with someone else. Amen, Just like how you share your sour
-
or recipes online, Let's share a little bit of heaven that I, you
-
and I experience. And even though you think it's so little, like I
-
say, friends, I haven't raised the dead. I haven't. I haven't
-
gotten to Comma person and I haven't. But what I have done is bring
-
a little bit of hope to the families that are you know, broken,
-
because some of them come, you know, come back from overseas to be
-
with their dying parent and they haven't been with their parents. That's a little
-
hope that I can give them, and that's when they can open their eyes
-
again to see Jesus. Some are backs laden families. That's why they still
-
call for a pastor. Mind you, I'm only useful when you're dying.
-
Joke. Well, but maybe it's a reality, Joe. I'm gonna go.
-
When people want to get married, please marry us, then they leave
-
us, and then when they're dying, please must come and marry me.
-
How do in between? You're going to be accountable or be my friend or
-
you know, I want to go through the hard conversations with me, you
-
know, so something I just feel I'm good for them. But my lad,
-
it's okay because I have the pressure promise to share with someone. And
-
that's what I've been doing for these past months, especially this year. I
-
didn't during the pandemic, and so a true zoom or because I cannot be
-
there with the person I'm talking to. This person's going to concern having twenty
-
four hours to live and just waiting for the sun to come home wet things.
-
What's my part? What's the sure promise that I can give to this
-
person? I don't. I don't have the power, but I know the
-
power, So the power source comes to them, and I want to share
-
the sure promise to them. And that's what you and all of us can
-
do, not just be all of us can do the sure promise that God
-
has for each and every one of us. Don't think that God is taking
-
too long to come back to Earth to get you and me, because the
-
work is not done. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For

-
be a good week. I hate for you. God bless
