and we're going to be going through well, I'm not sure that you

okay. So King Nebuka Naza, the king made an image of gold who's

height with sixty cubits and it's worth six cubits. He set it up in

the plane of Deura in the province of Babylon, and basically he went,

do you know that people may not have time to police and find out whether

you're doing it or not. And all it thinks is this whistle blower.

Right, You're like, hey, you can just keep quiet, right,

the King will know. But this whistle blower, these whistle blowers want to

get at you. They just don't like your guys. They just want to,

you know, get you in trouble. Okay, So this is what

happened. They said, Hey, King, remember you made that law that

if let's say, anybody who doesn't you know, worship the statue after you

play music, whatever music may be. You knew you will throw them into

the fiery furnace. Okay, there was this group of people here, king

a king. There's this group of people here that didn't follow right, and

so happened. The king knew them because they were Daniel's friends. The king

knew them. Okay. In my mind, I'm thinking, why Daniel not

inside this picture? Wouldn't he have not also worship? Did he have some

special you know, some sound special thing. I don't know. I don't

know. For the life of me, I don't know. Maybe the king

don't know. Maybe the king knew. I'm not sure. Okay, but

these three friends, okay, basically Shaderick, Michig and Benegal h they didn't

want to worship because they only worshiped God. Amen. So they were making

a stand right. Imagine work, Okay, your boss asked you do something,

Okay, most of that word. Okay, college, I don't think

they will, although now in the States, I guess it's quite messed up.

But anyway, that's not going through that. They're faced with a situation

that was against their belief system. Right, they had to make a decision

to follow and not to follow, to do or not to do right,

and they were brought to the king, okay, and the king questioned them.

that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I

have set up. Now, if you are ready at the time you hear

And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands? So

And are you guys gonna worship? Give chance? War? Wouldn't you

have? You know? Since got chance? Say, oh, some of

us will probably thinking, oh God, thank you for the chance to redeem

myself. Now I cannot be casting into the fire fulness okay, But what

was the reply? The reply was shrederick micheg and abtne go answer and say

to the king, oh, nebucud Nasa, we have no need to answer

we serve, is able to deliver us from the burning, fiery furness,

God did a miracle. Not only that Jesus was with them. Why did

I say Jesus with them. The king was the one that say the fourth

have known? Didn't know about Jesus did? I don't know, but he

said looked like Okay. In the end, God was given all the glory,

even by the king who didn't believe him. Right, And if we

read on further, we will read on twenty nine. Okay, he says.

Therefore, I make a decree that any people, nation or tongue which

speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrak measure abtnigal shall be cut in pieces,

and their houses shall be made and ashy. Well, the king quite

a figure. One moment you say worship me, you know, and I'll

burn you. And then suddenly, you know, this group of men who

decided not to follow the law was saved by God. And then now he

maybe to make sure that their gods don't say them, they will be cut

into pieces. Okay, Okay, I don't know, Okay, I don't

know. Maybe throw into fiery furness, he realized, don't work anymore.

So the king recognize God. Okay, and then the king promoted Shaderik micheg

is the case, our God whom we serve, is able to deliver us

from the burning fiery fulness, and he will deliver us from your hand,

O King. They believe that God deliver them. And then verse eighteen came,

O King, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we

worship the gold image which you have set up. Wow, such confidence,

such confidence from these three guys, meaning whether they are blessed or not.

Now they will say, we will still serve God. No, what happens

after, doesn't we have the benefit or you know they will of course we

can make encouraged. But they didn't know and they made their stand. It's

crazy. They made their stain. They say, no, I'm gonna still

stick to my guns. And even if didn't know this, they don't the

king you know know this, I will still not serve your gods or you

well, I will still not bow down. Friends, if you're writing notes,

the title is actually this message from last year, because he talks about

our God is able, and I thought be really nice to tie in this

year. Is in Heaven rules? Heaven rules? Why does heaven rule?

Heaven rule? Because the three men were saved from the fieryfulness, They were

supernaturally saved. Jesus was with de Amen, and not just that they were

blessed, and they were protected by the King, who was the one that

glorified got the end. The tree men know the king. The king was

the one that glorified God. The King was the one that said there is

no other God. Do you know that when you make that decision, when

we make decisions like that, crazy don't make sense, foolish decisions like that

to even say, you know what, God, You're not God like.

Okay, you know what world, I'm not gonna coll t out to you.

I'm not gonna submit to you. I'm gonna follow God no matter what,

even if I'm at a losing end, especially if I'm at the losing

end. This is not gonna be hard message this morning. It's gonna be

encouraged me. I trust me. It's true to my nature of you don't

like me first and later you might like me. Okay, can I share

your story? When I read this scripture last year, it was a confirmation

a lot of things that happened in my own life, and I realized that,

Wow, Lord, you and I wouldn't be so bold to tell you,

you know, when I stand against the king and it's going to turn

in through the fiery finesster. I was as confident as the three guys.

Honestly, guys, I was not. I was not as confident as the

three guys when I was put in that situation, and I was put in

that situation. Later I'll share you with some stories. Right I was not,

But for me there was no other option. There was no other option

but to trust God. And some of us here this morning you might have

that in your situation. You might not have no other option but to trust

God. Can I encourage you this morning? When you trust God, he

will come true for you, because our God is able. Right when they

were talking to the king, and I've shared this, there's another message I

expounded anymore. But can I give us this perspective? When we live our

lives? Do we live our lives realizing that we serve a God that is

able? Because if we live our lives thinking that God maybe can whenever he

wants to, whenever he feels like it, or whenever I'm a good boy

or good Christian girl, and then God will. But any other day he

won't. When I misbehaved, he won't. Do you know that God's not

like that? Do you know that our God is not like that? Right?

He's not like that. No, we treat him like that. To

them? The reason why they could answer that way, I give you this

perspective because they fear God more than they fear the king, because they know

who their God is. See, only people who know who their God is

can talk like that. So confidently, only people who know who their God

is and work with their God will be able to say, Yep, my

God can save me. And even it doesn't, it's fine. I'm sure

he has a better plan. So the question is do we know our God.

We need to know our God. We need to walk with him,

you know. And God is gracious. Let me tell you how gracious God

is. God is so gracious that when you know, every time a new

person come to know Jesus, and I like to ask you for this question,

how do you come to know Jesus? What's the salvation story? I

like to talk to people about your faith because I learned, and when a

new person comes to Jesus, this is my confidence. I'll say, you

know what, pray you're believe in something, pray for it. God will

give it to you. You know why, because he's a newborn baby.

God will answer their prayer. And so I feel jealous. God, I

work with you for fifteen years, ready, why can't you give me those

kinds of answers? Why? God? Why? And then God's like,

but you big brother, you are I don't need to you know, I

don't need to feed your milk. You can take the meat. Can you

take the meat? Elvin? But this person who's a new believer, neet

milk. So I recognize that. I recognize that. Hey, God will

meet you where you're at. Do you know that? Do you know that?

God will meet you where you are at? That's where he'll meet you.

He's not gonna throw you into the firing funess yet, No yet,

la. He won't trow you that yet, especially if you cannot take it.

He will meet you where you're at as long as you want to meet

him. That is the wonderful thing about God. That's why we say God

loves us so much, because ultimately, it is not our blessings that he's

interested in. It is our growth and our relationship with him that he's interested

in. We are interested in the blessing. We are interested in the my

lively to be comfortable. We are interested in the Oh, look at me,

let you look at me. That's what we are interested. God is

not interested in that. He's not interesting that. He's interested in your salvation.

He's interested in you, whether you grow as a person who has character

and integrity. Whether you grow as a person and understand who God is,

right, that's what God is interested in. Amen. Let me show you

some stories. Okay. So sometime in April twenty sixteen, my wife and

I met up with Sarah and Selena. Okay, both my son's daycare teachers.

Yeah, she's involved in this. That would be a good story to

share. Well, they came and they broke news to us that they think

that my elder son might have symptoms of autism. How many of you love

to have such news? And at the time, now we don't know about

autism. We don't know. We kind of know. And then sometimes we

use, uh, the roggery the rogatory terms. Sorry, my Chinese tongue

is getting the best of me. The roggery theory terms like oh this sner

retarded, you know. Yeah, we joke about it. Okay, autistic,

right, we joke at it. That is that is about as much

exposure I have about special nests. Okay. Then now different, so certain

symptoms. Now eye contact plays alone, Hollijoy's other kids. And he's young,

No, he's like what two three years old? Okay? He also

runs around and he plays visis first time. Also has slight speech delay,

basically don't really talk. So we took him for assessment. We took him

for assessment thinking, uh, you know, and at the end of the

assessment the psychiatrists which later I found out that actually you should send to a

development of pediatric or or a clinical psychologist for assessment. Psychiatrists can give well,

they can't give an official diagnosis. Okay, there's something you want normal,

you can talk to me, Okay, a bit technical term. I'm

learning more as I go along. We sent and the person said, hey,

no, Actually the person he was not happy. I remember I was

there with Lena and the person was not happy, was giving me bad news

to like, oh, sir, he doesn't hit the markers. Damn,

Like, isn't that a good thing? What are you telling me? So,

like, it's a bad thing. What it means if he hit the

markers and he has autism means what you happy that? You know? Okay,

I didn't. I didn't act that way. So of course you're praying

with real heart and we're like, okay, thank god. So it was

like, he didn't hit the markers, but there's always a bad rite but

he needs speech what he needs speech therapy and he needs occupational therapy. I'm

like, what the heck is this thing? What maumo jumbo? Is this?

Right? You know? And and of course it was a new world

for us, you know, but we were more well, we were not

sure. But I told myself, like, you know what, let's just

help my son, no matter what, whether or not God don't have it

doesn't matter. Let's go find out what this OT thing is and what this

speech the happy thing is, and let's just do it. Okay, let's

just do it. Okay, that's why as it helps, right, And

of course, if you're familiar OT, when I look at it, you

look like some you look weird. Okay, it looks weird to me.

But then okay, then you look like some you know, I don't know

how to explain this, like some magic that they were doing, but but

it helped him. Okay, the magic help him. Actually are to be

honest with you, I'm making jokes right about OTI is very scientifically sound,

okay, very they know what they're doing. But to you, it's like,

what are you doing my kid? You know, you know, bouncing

balls on him and stuff like that. I'm like, I don't understand how

ignorant I am. So for two years we're selling for OT and space therapy.

Two years okay, But to be honest, that two years I didn't

accept anything else. Yet my heart was still hard. It was like,

thank you Lord that my son doesn't have autism. Right. And then two

years later, in April twenty eighteen, we went for another follow up visit

to his daycare center. Well there, every time you get called from teacher,

you sketch one. No nowadays, oh no, what? What?

What has gone wrong now? And basically they informed us that they had challenges

with him because that year they started getting the kids ready for school by having

two hours of class sessions. Since they're basically getting them school ready. Hey,

guys, our teachers are awesome. They can't teach. Please be nice

to them. Parents, Please be nice to them. They know what they're

doing. One they really know what they're doing. One something we think that

we know better. Okay, it's like how doctors write. We like to

go and tell doctors what because we've got Google. The doctors study it.

One. No. Right, So they were preparing the kids, but unfortunately

he couldn't join in right, and of course during that time, I mean

some of these words are technical words, but not so nice words to us,

start disrupting the class, you know, all these like very negative words,

you know, and of course you feel it like, oh, you

know, he wasn't complying with the teachers, also disturbed his friends. And

then again we had to go for another assessment. And I'm like, what

we went for one assessment again? No knowledge okay, no knowledge, ignorant

okay. So for two years I said, ignorant, didn't read more about

it. And of course this was this was the moment where it felt like

facing the king, you know, like, wow, what happened? I

thought it was done. I thought I was done there. I thought we

praised a lot, and then now this again, what do you mean by

go for another assessment? It was tough, guys, It was tough.

I questioned God many times in this season. God, I serve you for

fifteen years. Why is this happening to me? And it even affected my

marriage you can ask my wife Blackie. I was even more not nice person

during that time. It was tough, guys. It was tough. Six

months we had six months. Six months was the time where we found out.

It was tough. We had to take him out of the daycare to

figure out what to do. And the time I started learning more about especially

started learning more, started being more exposed. So the two years that I

was faithfully sending my kid to occupational therapy, I didn't really read much.

I guess, can I be honest? Still very happily ignorant, right,

And then later on started learning, started reading. So we went for another

assessment. Okay, and can I share this with you if you want to

go for a good development. By that time, I know a little bit

more. They are like, oh, let's not send to a psychiatrist,

let's send to a clinical psychologist. Why how I know that because my OT

therapist told me, why are you going to send to psychiatrists? You should

send to a developmental pediatrician. And I'm like, okay, I never knew

there was such a thing. Now I know, find out who, find

out where? When sign up? Go oh sir? Sure. Six months

later, I'm like, huh, I need an answer. Now I'm like,

okay, whatever, right, so good developmental pediatricians take time on Okay,

there's one we're saying. Now we are trying to make another appointment,

She's saying next to you. Only I'm like, oh lord, so if

you think you want to study students, please go and study this this field.

Okay, So there you're more in the future. Okay, all right?

Uh so we went we actually send to one first, we found another

opening we send to and then this I thought better, No, because Scott

neurologist PhD India title, So I thought even better. Right, look at

my son, he got ADHD. I'm like, huh, but he can

sit down and play like go for four hours. What do you mean by

HD? Kids who have ADHD cannot do that or no, every single thing

they cannot focus on. So how can you say my son got ADHD?

So sometimes we also need to have wisdom. Friends, we gotta go to

wisdom. We gotta have wisdom a little bit, okay. So I'm like,

can I be But at that time, that six months, me and

my wife we had to work out different things. We had to work out

marriage, we had to work out what to do with our child, and

we had to learn a little bit more about this world's specialists. So I'm

a research person. Okay, That's who I am. Okay, I embrace

it fully now last time. I don't really know, so I full on

research. And I'm also a very cynical person. Okay, maybe that's why

people don't like me. Very cynical, asked a lot of questions. Then,

okay, maybe that's why I can't connect wherever. So anyway, uh

question question not so easily? Take things you know? And and basically,

during the six months, I really believe that the Lord was doing something in

my life. He softened my heart, he opened different doors. Right this

time, we had a heart me and my wife. We had a heart

to heart talk. Okay, at that time or so, I felt like

quitting my job to pay for all the future bills that will come. Right,

of course, this question a god so faithfully right? Why do you

do this to me? Give this problem to a rich person. Rich person

can afford because raising a specialist kid is not cheap. You would have to

spend at least five thousand to fifteen thousand. You can get a month.

That was my research. Okay, go and do research. It is still

the same. Okay, Unfortunately, your change. That's why I want to

spare market. Okay, more, we need more therapies. Okay, we

need more therapy. That's spaw market a little bit. And the other thing

about specialists in major is really wild wild wiret No, there is no no,

uh what's the word, No guidelines, no regulation, nothing, It's

really wild west. People can argue with me, but I know it's true.

It is wild West. Thankfully, now mental health there's a little bit

of guidelines, so we're getting better friends. I believe in the next ten

years we will have guidelines for quession's I pray, okay, but now it's

really maybe when you see a you know, a more a different name school

than you will put more trust in it. Okay, But yeah, there

was no guidelines. So what we did was me and my wife we took

emergency leave one week to spend time with our son try to craft a pathway

forward. Since all we thought we tried didn't work. We fell alone.

It was a soul searching time. The things I knew or I thought I

knew was crumbled. I was stuck with a problem which I couldn't find a

solution and it was heartbreaking. I was confused and also question got many times

in this season. So me and my wife we had to have had a

heart to talk about family marriage. We had to find a solution on how

to move forward. Before that, we had different ideas on how to raise

our key. After that we had to add one. Before that, we

had different expectations on how or where our kids going to go. Don't have

you know, and you don't have problems. You'ly need your talk, right,

you just go at the floor and see what happens later. But no

choice, we have to plan right. So on the twenty eighth of August

twenty sixteen, closing to the end of the six months of research, finding

out and everything, we finally got the assessment with our developmental peedet pretty well

known developmental peed in one of the hospitals. And at that diagnosis we sat

down. I think by that time we were ready to receive the answer.

We were ready to receive God was good. Okay, she said that he

had mild autism. Right, he's on the spectrum. And it was another

turning point for me and my wife as we were really mentally prepared, right

and if anything, it just confirmed our suspicions right, and we will open

to what we were experiencing. Right. But it was a very interesting thing

that the doctors during the assessment or at the end of the assessment. The

doctor actually said this word, he's much better than before, right, And

I'm like, huh. It's struck to me, you know, I'm like,

I don't understand that that. What do you mean by he's much better

than before? I don't get what you mean? You know. I didn't

really ask her because but that line stuck to me even after we left,

because she just made it as a passing amount and we're like, okay,

great, right, And and I realized one thing. I realized one thing.

Let me see, yah. I realized one thing when she said that

line. Oh wow, Lord, the two years of OTI helped him,

and the doctor recognized it. If I didn't do anything, even when I

was in denial, that would not have given progress. So I was like,

wow, it is so interesting, God, how you move that.

Even though I was not open to the reality of what happened, I still

obedient to just do whatever I need to do. And your parents, that's

the wonderful thing about you as parents. You have a gift and you have

a privilege to raise your children. And I believe that you are the expert

of your children. So you will know your kids better. So please know

them better, so that you know, how to you know, be led

by the Lord to sort of like what's the word, help them progress in

life? Amen. So as we've committed to helping him, God brought us

on a journey of discovery and also learning to be better parents for our kids,

to also find out more about this world of special needs. Thankfully we

have help along the way, and we are very thankful for our community,

our church who supported us right and God started opening up doors and also giving

us leads on what to do where to go. It was not an easy

or cheap journey, really, but I can tell you it was definitely a

spirit light one. And I can also stand here to tell you that God

provided I have not left my job. Just to let you know why it's

so big that my job is, I'm working full time. You know,

it's a little bit different now, guys, if I work corporate, I'm

working full time, right, and my wife have been read gracious with that

as well. Right. So, after that, we enrolled my son into

an inclusive school in Arah. It was also a school that Passa Kana found

out and then he told us about it. So and you know, sometimes

when we look at special needs, right, we think that it is a

disability, right, And sometimes we look at a lot of disabilities we think

it's disability. But if you look at people who are disabled, right,

they do more crazy things than the able people. Actually, right, Daniel,

he knows what I'm talking about. But we began to realize that,

you know, God made everyone special. Really, God made you. Know

when the scripture says I made you, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

You know that all of you here, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Right, you're quote unquote waknesses as well, everything that you are formed.

God made you that way, right, and there's definitely for a reason.

One. So we started realizing, right and observing, and we realized that

he was good at certain things. Right, He's actually were go at building

go as special skills. Right, So we encourage that and my son,

you know, okay, let me give you a your definition, sir.

Autism is a social developmental disorder, meaning that they cannot understand or catch social

cues. But if you meet my son, you will realize that he's one

of the most caring and affectionate kids you ever meet, and most times to

strangers. Right for a child with autism that doesn't make sense. Actually you

think about it, it does not. And he's okay with people, but

sometimes social sendings see a little bit stressful for him now right. And as

we got to a son a little bit more, we appreciated him more,

not just the good but everything we see as we change our lends as parents.

Really it was a really a real perspective shift for us, this experience,

not just expectation and what he needs to do, but who he is

as God made him and the potential of what he can do. We are

still discovering. So I can tell you our expectation one day will be doctor,

scientists whatever thrown out the window. Now it's like Lord, or what

are you going to lead our sun to do? We want to discover.

It's a very different perspective. Amen, let me give you an encouragement before

I continue on. So in November one, a few years later, during

one of the parent teacher meeting, the teachers were very pleased with his performance

informed us that will be taking him out of the individual education problem, the

ip okay that was last last year, and he will be doing his classes

like any other of the children that in this school. So we were actually

very surprised at this news because one of our targets was in the independent learning.

That was our focus, right, And they said, oh he can't

really never like, oh wow, that's great. You know, in my

mind I thought another two montual are your style. But they were confident,

right, And I was a little bit dumbfounded because it was very quick.

Well, the latest testimony is that we are planning to send our son

to VA next year. And that is a big step for us because we

want him because right now his school is good school, not not good good
