  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. So this morning, I want to speak about

  3. a topic called completion. I want to talk about finishing the race. I

  4. also want to talk about how is it it's so important for us to remember

  5. to every mind of self, really what's really all about? Because in life,

  6. you know, you get the word is that different commitments come along your

  7. way. Uh. Some of you have made the commitment earlier this year of

  8. January that you wanted to finish a book. Uh twur fifty page book,

  9. right, so if you read one page a day, by now you have

  10. finished the book already, but you only went through the page five. W

  11. me, that's it. That it's out of the window and still sitting on

  12. your shelf. And because tomorrow's first January, you can make the same commitment

  13. against I'm going to finish this book. Uh. So it's very important for

  14. us really to have this spirit of completion, uh, you know, in

  15. our daily life, because otherwise you get hijacked. Hijak. It's not really

  16. that bad, It's just that we need to know our priorities at the end

  17. of the end of the day. So there was a research done by a

  18. renowned Bible scholar and teacher, Robert Clinton. He did study on the lines

  19. of one thousand figures, one thousand bigger figures. Okay, he just did

  20. simple research on their lives on the Christian faith because sometimes with the own very

  21. eyes we could see people running the race and somebody we reached that we could

  22. be like them. But it's not necessarily just how we start, but it's

  23. really how we end, right, And do you know, for one thousand

  24. figures, right, and his research was how many many of them ended well,

  25. ended well, ended on fire, ended by hitting them up ow For

  26. one thousand they say less than thirty percent. Less than thirty percent are bigger

  27. figures. I guess their leaders, the movement movement people right, less than

  28. twenty percent of the of them finish well. Quite interesting, now, seventy

  29. over one percent we said did not finish it. They missed them up.

  30. So it's important for us to remember and to remind ourselves to encourage ourself to

  31. finish well. Really, to finish well. Friends. This is not a

  32. message because it's year end. It's a good reminder because every time when we

  33. do a WAK service, sorry to talk about wake service first December. Right,

  34. every time we do week service, we stand in front of the crowd

  35. as ministers and we say that, you know this brother or his sister is

  36. a believer for the good fight. Finish the race, right? You know

  37. the scripture right which I'm going to read. But many times in our life

  38. right to talk about finishing the race is to run the race according to how

  39. the raves are set. You and I need to run the race according to

  40. what and how the race was set. A lot of times we see finish

  41. the race, we are laying our own track. We are laying down,

  42. laying our own desires. Say God, I run this track, and because

  43. I believer that that's why it's blessed, well, we can so miss them

  44. up. Okay, I'm show you to the scripture right now. Full scripture

  45. we'll turn to it is X chapter twenty six, verse nineteen x twenty six

  46. worse nineteen. You know the scripture, maybe you've heard it before. It's

  47. about the encounter about with Paul, with King Agripper Paul and King Agrippa,

  48. and the statement goes like this, I was not this obedient to the heavenly

  49. vision. I was not this obedient to the heaven division right. Many times

  50. in our journey we need to remember our calling, friends, to finish well,

  51. we need to remember our calling all of us here God a calling all

  52. right, you and I today we are caught by God. We have a

  53. purpose. God have given us here on earth. Friends. We are not

  54. here by accident. We are not just a byproduct of our parents' passion.

  55. God give us breath, give us life, God give us a purpose.

  56. The fact that you're still here of me, you say you have a purpose.

  57. There is no unemployment. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord. All right for

  58. those of y'all thinking that there is so epf at the end of the day,

  59. there is. I'm in heaven. But there is no unemployment. All

  60. right. There is no retirement in the Kingdom of God. Amen. Someone

  61. said, hallelujah, there is no retirement. In other words, rest the

  62. day the Lord calts you back. He still wants to employ you. Still

  63. have a purpose why you're here on earth. I was talking to my dad.

  64. My dad right now is attending another church, or rather Medadist church.

  65. He's part of the Methodist Senior Fellowship. They called MSF Methodist Senior Fellowship and

  66. they are like in their late seventies, early eighties. One of them,

  67. I think it's ninety eighty seven, right, eighty seven. They get together,

  68. they cook for one another, they have gatherings, they go even go

  69. do outing praise the Lord to encourage you another. You know how the word

  70. is not depressing? Can I use the word sorry? First, I'm supposed

  71. to encouraging. You know how something is it's it's there sad when when you're

  72. in the age group, you know, when you're in the seventies and eighties,

  73. one by one, God needs your friends more than more than you need

  74. your friends. You ran yourself, and trying to say it can become like

  75. quite depressing in that sense. But first there is no retire involved. All

  76. of them still get together, still cook for another. To day my dad

  77. will say, hey, can you bring home because I've got the cook balley

  78. water, right, and the cookie for another. They're encouraging one of they

  79. they're going to plan to visit visitation because some of them are by themselves,

  80. no children. There's one lady I got to know, she's in the mid

  81. eighties, all by herself, right, and they're just like, hey,

  82. she's all by herself. Let's encourage you. So there is no unemployment praise

  83. so hallelujah. So you and I need to remember our calling. So Paul

  84. talking a group, But I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. So

  85. first of all, right, now, remember there is a heavily vision that

  86. God has given you. We tend to forget that maybe because of life,

  87. because of the journey of different things. There is more to a Christian than

  88. just coming to church a man, right, there is more to a believer

  89. just having a Bible. There is an assignment. And Paul, if o

  90. King and Great bas said, I was not disobedient. Paul not say that,

  91. you know, I know the vision. Paul us what disobey? Because

  92. there is a calling for us to be obedient to the Lord? I know

  93. Christian like they used to work obedien. I feel like you used to love

  94. mercy. Second chances, right, we're talking about obedience. Oh, it's

  95. like you said, you've done something wrong and God is there to work you.

  96. Right. No, first, no, so Paul understood this his assignment.

  97. Do you understand your assignment? And now, so Paul knew friends knew

  98. when God gave him the vision. God also revealed to him that he's going

  99. to face challenges, challenges true the form of death threats. There was death

  100. threats to pause life. There was promise of prison. Come on, how

  101. many of us will claim promise of prison? Exactly? Nobody? Right?

  102. Right? God, please, I will to follow you, Yes, prison,

  103. I will go as well. Majority of us say no, please,

  104. said Selena, only because she's the leader, right all right? Free food

  105. celet will come out right different after that, then you'll pray for a second

  106. chance. After that, she would come look for you. Right. There

  107. was that. There was a vision of change, friends being in chain.

  108. I'm not talking about gold chain or silver chain around right with the way you're

  109. around your neck. Okay, there was there was. There was promise of

  110. change, prison and death threats. And it was not a perfect The word

  111. is not a very nice picture. I took the call of God only to

  112. realize and to know that there is this part that most probably he would have

  113. given his life for the costs. Yet he can tell King a Graper was

  114. not disobedient to the heavenly vision. See, Paul has a resolve in his

  115. heart. No matter how hard it is, God, you are worth following,

  116. no matter how challenging. It could be God, you are worth following.

  117. I'm not sure that I spoke here, but I recently a tend of

  118. one week service and this gentleman, this guy right gave his life to Jesus.

  119. Was formerly dealt with everything that is involved with know with Lord, shop

  120. with gangsterism, everything you can imagine. He gave his heart to Jesus.

  121. From that day always his life was changed. And every time he meets his

  122. former gang he will witness to them, witness to them, shared the gospel

  123. with that invite them to church. Right, how he came to know the

  124. law was one of one day someone inviting him for lunch. Very dangerous.

  125. So you you're not a believer. Here someone invited you for lunch. You

  126. can change your life. Hallelujah, praise a lot. Lunch can change your

  127. life. So this guy, not believer read for lunch and it was not

  128. just a normal lunch. It was a lie. Where about organized by If

  129. I'm not wrong, I think by a group a businessman fellowship. So around

  130. table sitting and someone was sharing about God. And he gave his life there

  131. and then see, friends, God has a plan for you. And after

  132. that his assimum was he reached out to everyone he could fight, even though

  133. he was diagnosed with if with cancer, he was in the hospital, he

  134. was reaching out to the nurses, the doctors, and the patient beside him.

  135. So the assignment must be remembered. So you have an assignment in the

  136. Lord. So Paul, no matter what challenges he could face, he knew

  137. that God is worth following. I wanted to courage your friends. God is

  138. worth following. God is really worth following. God would never abandon you,

  139. no matter what the challenge would be. So Paul knew about this all right,

  140. But I was eighteen problems shept and I was eighting. Why is it

  141. so important for us to know the heavenly vision? Problems nine eighteen says that

  142. without we will cast off restraint. Without vision, we will cast off restraint.

  143. What does what does the Bible mean by that? You as if you

  144. don't have a direction, we will just get torn into every direction. If

  145. you don't have a destination, we will get pulled, side tracked, tempted.

  146. Right, we are supposed to go pavilla and let me see the words

  147. saying that we want check it out. Fact you our check it out right?

  148. The words get distracted and we are creatures that get distracted very very easily.

  149. True or not, we get distracted, whereas that's why every works thirty

  150. seconds to get your attention. Think about it. We are creatures that get

  151. distracted so easily, and God's reminding us. Remember the heavenly vision. Without

  152. vision, people cust off restraint. So today, do you know your purpose

  153. here on earth? Do you know why you're here? Do you know that

  154. God has given you the amazing ability to be a blessing to the kingdom of

  155. God? Knew his vision and his calling. So I foure King Agrippa.

  156. No matter what the vision has showed me, the change, the prison,

  157. the death threats God, You're still worth following. How do we complete our

  158. race? Just remember that raised a heavily vision that raised a race. There

  159. is a race that you and I need to run. Second Timothy four over

  160. seven. You know this scripture Second Timothy four, verse seven. In fact,

  161. alms can be excited by heart. I thought the good fight, come

  162. on, I thought the good fight. You can complete the whole scripture.

  163. I thought the good fight. Yep. I kept the faith. You know

  164. that? So the vision was given the paw, death thread, prison in

  165. chains, This is fast forward, fast all the way down the second Timothy

  166. Paul wrote, there before he gave his life, I fought the good fight.

  167. Many times we use the scripture when the early stages, maybe the word

  168. is that, maybe perhaps one victory, I thought the fight. But friends,

  169. it's at the end of our life, at the end of our life

  170. we can can we say I fought the good fight now, friends, fighting

  171. the good fight is not just about fighting just to wear a cross on our

  172. neck. It's beyond that, friends, It's about living God's purpose here on

  173. earth. You can only fight a good fight when you fight in terms of

  174. what it was intended it to be. In other words, when you go

  175. into a boxing ring, you can only use your hands on your licks.

  176. But many times when we say we fight a good fight, do this bit

  177. of confession right now have done many big service. And every time we use

  178. this because the persons of believer I don't know what to fight the person has

  179. been fighting, but we use the scripture because it's so comforting. Now I'm

  180. not trying to pin a black picture, but I want to encourage you.

  181. Friends. Don't end this year without knowing your assignment, without knowing your purpose.

  182. You are more than just a human being the consumed oxygen. Hallelujah,

  183. praise the Lord. Right. So, therefore, to Paul can say for

  184. the good fight because he went through Freds because of obedience, he went through

  185. a fight of faith. You can only say you for the good fight when

  186. there is obedience involved. Come on, when there is obedience involved. Many

  187. times you be saying before the good fight. But there is no obedience in

  188. our life. There is no obedience in out faith. The Bible says,

  189. without faith, it's impossible to do what. Come on, It's impossible to

  190. do what. Oh example, common decided that Selena, haven't giving you a

  191. heart in the morning, Selena, how you I guarantee you'll be awake?

  192. Ah right? Without faith, it's impossible to please God. Friends, our

  193. faith in our life. Think about it. I used to think that he

  194. supported their faith faith to move mountains. But come when I read this scripture

  195. again, I come to this realization. Our faith in our life, if

  196. you use it correctly, is to glorify and to please God. Use faith

  197. to do what God I want. The house hallelujah, Thank you Jesus.

  198. You print out the picture, you put it on the frish every day,

  199. you just claim it in Jesus' name. So if you put the picture of

  200. the good that you like on your friege in the name of Jesus, thank

  201. you Lord, hallelujah. Right Alex right, I've sard it before, we

  202. seen it before, we claim it all right, and we put across all

  203. the picture whatever in these friends. But if you understood it, the faith

  204. has always been us pleasing ourself more than pleasing God. God always wants his

  205. name to be glorified. At eight am, there was a person that shared

  206. a beautiful testimony about how she got to own the house full time willkill,

  207. how she got to know the how on the house on the One power of

  208. deestiminity that really shook a lot of people was that God challenged me to give

  209. all all my renovation costs into the offering, all the renovation costs into the

  210. offering, and see me, I'll provide for you first. It was all

  211. giving of joy in hours. There was no letter of promise from Heaven dropped

  212. down a physical at the hour of supply for you. She just heard a

  213. voice. Trust me, She's so by faith, and she said, I

  214. stand here right now. I'm proud owner a right of a property that I

  215. always wanted to have, and I want to let you know. God is

  216. so real. The money is not coming in the big envelopes like other people,

  217. like one big chunk, but it came into different types and I needed

  218. it, and I knew because she's my clique. I know the whole entire

  219. story. She's she's soo one time. Just share with us that, Oh

  220. they just want to let you know I got this particular but not much,

  221. not much, okay to some of us, it's like it's like it's like

  222. going for a dinner, money on it, just a couple of thousands to

  223. just be a b right. And so what happened was that she was okay.

  224. She she just put on her community check group there and said, hey,

  225. guys, I just bought my water fielder. If you're interested, just

  226. let me know. That's it. No hot selling, no ever. You

  227. know how many water coolers I saw about ten ten? I said, what

  228. do you do? Nothing? I just put there there. If you want,

  229. just let me know. I've just bought one. Only it's worked for

  230. me. That's it, I know. How would she said? Then she

  231. said that I could only attribute this to God. That's it. I did

  232. not do heart selling. I do not. I did not full love.

  233. And you know this guy said you have to full up your thing, right,

  234. No I did that. I just put out there. If you want,

  235. you want one, that's it. Friends, I want to carriage you.

  236. God never shot changes. Our faith is required because of obedience. I

  237. thought, the good fight. Friends, you have to be obedient to fight.

  238. Come on, but we are all creatures of peace. I don't want

  239. to fight like you know, fight. Friends. The image of a fighter

  240. is not something that you could imagine. Right, Maybe you can imagine some

  241. people are fighter like Selena. You can menage the fighter. Can you write?

  242. Can you like? Some people get measured the fighter? But majority of

  243. people of peace? Come on? True? Not could you measure yourself as

  244. a fighter? A mentor image changing of friends. But God wants us to

  245. fight for what we believe in the faith, the dream that God has given

  246. you. Many times you surrender the fight because oh I don't want to fight.

  247. I'm a man of peace. We have to defend our faith because the

  248. next generation depends on it. If we have to defend of faith. All

  249. right, I have finished the race. Come on, I have finished the

  250. race. There is a race, ever, and of a here there is

  251. a race that you and I need to run, definitely need to run out.

  252. There is no escape. You need to run the race. The question

  253. is whether or not I think. I think a lot of times we are

  254. running I'm going to saw you from scripture afters, but not not not coming

  255. to the finishing line. Very set the image. Can you imagine right now

  256. if you ever run in the race before, You're constantly running but never come

  257. to the finishing line. Right and Paul reminds us again right that we need

  258. to keep the faith in all of this. How did Paul finish the race?

  259. Friends? The only way Paul finished the race comes from the second sorry,

  260. the words before that second dimity four ward six. Second dimity forward six

  261. is four I have been for I'm really being pawed out as a drink offering.

  262. In other words, friends, Paul have decided that my life is worth

  263. being pawed out in our words. Paul did not hold back on his commitment

  264. to the Lord. Amen, Paul did not hold back on his commitment to

  265. the Lord? What a my holding back? Friends? You and I know

  266. sometimes we make exceptions. Mm hmm, we make exception. We love the

  267. God of love, and we love God as he's loving God. Right.

  268. For example, right, we can picture him as a living God provider God.

  269. Second chances, we love all this image of God. Right, But

  270. the Bible says that God is a holy I touch about holiness. People just

  271. went quiet, quiet, Friends like this here quiet because the what holy means

  272. are meant. Then I was, there's somethings in our heart and our life

  273. and we need to get it together. Mm hmm, we need to get

  274. our life together. But many times this a holiness. God, give me

  275. some time to deal with it. But everything else, please your love,

  276. yes, right, provision, yes, Please don't stop your provision provision God,

  277. please let the overflow holiness, God, I need some time to deal

  278. with it. If we deal with holiness the same way we deal with provision,

  279. First, I can garrite you there is a victue. If we deal

  280. with holiness the way the same way we deal with God. Second chances,

  281. I can guarantee you there will be a victue. But many times, Holy

  282. Oh God cannot. So the Bible did say something about murmuring. I'm going

  283. to show it to you later. Right, Everything else is okay except this

  284. part. So I have to I have to count. No, come to

  285. somebody, all right, not from this church, and really, seriously,

  286. okay, can this but decided that Alex will I'll tell my collete it's my

  287. dad'sch had. I can't use my dad. So telling me they know that

  288. leader in his church. I say, Dad, first of all, you

  289. do not know the full story, true or not. Come on, you

  290. don't know the full story. I told me that you don't know the full

  291. story, so stop stop commenting. Stop the word. Is that trying to

  292. be the third eye, thinking and speculating. I say, for what that

  293. the pastor left? Really let him go, bless him, take him out

  294. for lunch, right, don't be high, go go behind his back and

  295. talk. After that, you and I say, it's it's a senior fellowship,

  296. not a gossip group. This is okay, that's say I have to

  297. use the example from there. So after time, I said, you missed

  298. the mark seeing you. Everybody wants to fight. Everybody likes to claim the

  299. scripture. I thought the I thought the good fight. I kept the race.

  300. I kept. I finished the race. I kept the faith. Keeping

  301. the faith also means this part guarding our mouth. But come on, we

  302. always make exception right, because you know why we are adults. We are

  303. doubts. Come on, adults always be exception one shouldn't can I cannot go

  304. for you for your adults? Right? Only? All right? Come one?

  305. True? We are more mature in Christ. In fact, we are

  306. seniors seenor as you were senior. We have been. We have been in

  307. the Christian long enough where we know how to manage it. You cannot manage

  308. my maringue. You cannot. It's hard. So Paul you The only way

  309. Paul can finished the race is because his life, no exception, no exception.

  310. Friends, Paul, do not tell God this change are Can you come

  311. later? Not because one more segment Paul dealt with you as it came along.

  312. So the only way to remember is this that we don't remember that you

  313. need to put our life. Remember who you are serving. Friends, going

  314. to the chains, the prison that death tread is already if you know who

  315. you're doing it for. Every pyramid sacrifice for the children, because they're doing

  316. it for the child, they remember who he's doing it for. Every leader

  317. and every person that's serving the Lord. Friends, they remember who they're doing

  318. it for. Maybe something we can't forget them. But you need to remember

  319. who you're doing for. Paul remembered. Friends, it's not easy to tell

  320. you that you want to follow Christ. You go to prison. Think about

  321. it. How many were you accept Jesus that tomorrow in the prison? Not

  322. easy? But you remember if if it's for the Lord, it's gonna be

  323. easy. But you remember you're doing it for. Then you are able to

  324. prepare yourself as like a drink offering being pought out. But many times you

  325. forget. Friends. We as we go older, we forget very easily.

  326. One this is onely how many things you forget? You already forget where we

  327. put our keys? In fact, I would like to do this with my

  328. wife. Where did we last after day? Do you know it? Actually

  329. it does take us fifteen minutes sometimes to remember where were last Saturday? Or

  330. you know it's true something you just you just once in a while just ask

  331. where did we go last Saturday? Where do we eat? Reach restaured?

  332. It can't remember because things happened so quickly, new information coming in, all

  333. information not important. We just check it out. Sometimes serving God is the

  334. same as well. Someday we can actually forget who we are serving. But

  335. Paul, remember that's why he's able to pour like a drink offering. The

  336. more we keep saying yes, Lord, it helps us to keep us faithful.

  337. So therefore, friends, we need to be interested in the things of

  338. God. Come on, now, we need to be interested in the things

  339. of God. What do you mean, my dad? So there's four times

  340. prayer rally. Do you know we put four times prairally because all the other

  341. prayer services is all decentralized only meetspun. You will not see central people joining

  342. here four times as a family come together to pray as a church. Goold

  343. right, So therefore they don't come to Subag anymore. Oh you're miss Subama.

  344. Sorry, sorry, I'll let the leadership know. Okay, ex say

  345. they want to meet Subam. Remember who you are serving, okay? John

  346. four thirty four, John forty four. Jesus said to them, my food

  347. is to do the view of him who send me and finishes work. My

  348. food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to finish

  349. his work. I can't can't give a glimpse to you why sometimes we feel

  350. dry in our in our spiritual war. The word can use the word table

  351. word, not spiritually fat. You heard this word before it is not why

  352. you laugh, I won't becoming anymore this year, right, Why we're not

  353. spiritually? So the Bible he said my food is to do many times,

  354. why we're not fair, it's because we don't do. We want to listen

  355. the Bible. I say, my food is to listen to God's view.

  356. There's too many listeners to too few people doing. Could you imagine Expo Nextsson

  357. to have two services? Is even the coordinator new say amen? Okay,

  358. could you made it therefore? First that I said earlier on, there's no

  359. unemployment, so we need everybody to do because we don't do fairds. That's

  360. why there's no food. Think about it. My food. The way you

  361. get excited, the way you keep your faith alive, the way you keep

  362. your spiritual is to do the view of the Father in the Kingdom of God.

  363. I was talking to a leader the other day and we're just saying that.

  364. Imagine right now, If a church is ten thousand, ten thousand members,

  365. right, ten thousand members, how many of the ten thousand members are

  366. being employed, and it's usable employed by the Kingdom of God, by God's

  367. Kingdom, serving the kingdom, Why would God add to the church new souls.

  368. If there is no employment, full employment in the church, what we're

  369. getting is church transfers. Do you think God will be ultimately glorified for fore

  370. thought? Friend, so Jesus said, my food is to do the view

  371. of the Father. I pray that before you ad let's be a resolved in

  372. your heart. I want to do more next year. I want to serve

  373. the Lord next year, no matter what capacity is. Whereas Selena asked me

  374. to be a host, I want to serve the legs because he is worth

  375. serving. Time is a life. We say, Oh God, no,

  376. so hard, so hard to serve you, so hard to serve your friends.

  377. That's why we're spiritually dry. That's why you're not spiritually fed. And

  378. no matter how many Bibles study you go, go to work, you will

  379. not get more if you don't apply what you have learned. You know got

  380. more if you don't apply what you have learned. So is and to finish

  381. his work. There is enough really to do. There is really enough to

  382. do in the Kingdom of God, if only you know how much of things

  383. to do. There are people that needs to hear the gospel. There are

  384. people that need transportation to church, and am services. There are a few

  385. people that text in they say, hey, I want to come to church.

  386. I can know transport can you can you arrange for me or not?

  387. Today? After I left about there was five responses to the salvation called family

  388. of four from China came. I don't know how they came, but they

  389. came, and few of them came first time to church. God is moving

  390. menjin right now. God is moving through the globe and bringing people to church.

  391. But the church, come on, you need to get ready and to

  392. finish the work. But you know what will happened. The side is for

  393. the leaders. Friends. No, that's why we forget who we are serving.

  394. So isn't it true water baptism? Right when you get baptized, the

  395. baptizer will ask you do you confess Jesus Christ as your personal law and savior?

  396. Cry not remember if you ever wanter baptized yet today's you can Aslena,

  397. he should make away where this seems to be no way, just k true.

  398. Baptizer will ask you do you confess that Jesus Christ is a person lat

  399. savior? Right? The baptizer we'll not ask you do you confess Jesus Christ

  400. as your best friend, no best friend, no manager, no leader,

  401. nothing as your person law and savior, law and savior. And everybody who's

  402. in the will say yes what Nobody at the times said no because the moment

  403. is like someone proposed to should he say yes? Because oh nice? Right?

  404. Someone can be like oh and someone if you're, if you're, you're

  405. both this today someone right, the moment sweeps you and say yes. I

  406. was. I was watching one particular person get about the baptized. He went

  407. under the water for illast twenty seconds because he continued on pray for the person.

  408. All the person in the water there pray that came up. But but

  409. here's the thing. After you get up, you remember two months down,

  410. two months down the road, we can actually forget, We actually confess that

  411. Jesus Christ as a person in law and savior. And that's why sometimes our

  412. faith is very shaky, because you need to do you need to reinforce your

  413. belief that he is Lord. Sorry, I'm moving a lot here because I

  414. need to stay awake. I really need to stay away. I got six

  415. cups ready. Yeah. First, the focus is Geez. The focus is

  416. the father, his assignment and to finish his work. Finally, it's going

  417. to be this all right. He must increase an eye decrease in your life

  418. before the end, before the alarm bells rings. Okay, has he increased

  419. this year or not? Come on? Has he increased this year or not?

  420. John Treat thirty three thirty PM, John Treat thirty forget descripturezy John Tree

  421. three zero. He must increase an eye decrease in your life this year.

  422. Has he increased or not? Come on? Has he increased more this year

  423. or not? Or are you still struggling to read the Book of John which

  424. is only one page? Has he increased? On? First? He must

  425. ask at the honest question. We know the honesty very hard. Oh,

  426. I got read the Bible. Every time the Bible approps a scripture in the

  427. morning on a I got three hunger fre scripture that comes to my mind.

  428. Good, my mom's gonna say bad. But you have to go beyond there.

  429. That was last year to zoo two four. At least two more scriptures

  430. coming to your heart. Friends, Yeah, there goes a subscription to more

  431. Bible app friends. He must increase and I decrease. What happened when we

  432. forget who we are serving? Ah? Right, BUTO the right. Why

  433. don't we forget who we are serving weapons the turn of his year. The

  434. Bible says they were in captivity, they were slaves in Egypt. Great deliverance,

  435. great sea party. Right then God provided for them. You know the

  436. story provided for them. Okay, KFC came came, all right, he

  437. came, he came. I'm just using very loose interpretation. But for so

  438. many months and years, and KFC, you also want to drop radio,

  439. I know that's what happened. They begin to complain. They begin to complain,

  440. like God, it's the same scenery, it's the same food. It's

  441. better to be in Egypt. Tend to follow you. I talk about mmorying

  442. just hour. It's sut a very very subtle and right, very subtle God.

  443. If we did decentralized God, if it's very subtle, God wasn't happy

  444. because God knew the hearts of the people more than the people knew their own

  445. hearts. And this is what happened. And I was reading the Bible,

  446. got with me. Did you know the tune of visual right? Still follow

  447. the Lord but never entered the promised land? Think about it. It's that

  448. you follow the Lord but never entered the Promise Land. Do you know,

  449. all heart and disappointed. It could be that we think that we are following

  450. the Lord, thinking that we can enter the promison, but in actual fact

  451. that we only see the borders but cannot enter. It's a very sad picture,

  452. no friends, to be like the tune of is your right, pillar

  453. of cloud by day, the club by day, bill of fire at night,

  454. provision right. You get all the blessing right, all the miraculous thing

  455. that happened, but you miss them out because you cannot enter the Promised Land.

  456. Very said. Because God has always intended for you and me to enter

  457. the Promised Land. We can do every day. It can come to church,

  458. go for prayers, service, but if our heart is not totally given

  459. to the Lord, we can miss out on the Promised Land. You can

  460. do what you can, even give, offering everything God can bless you financially

  461. as well, but not entering the Promised Land. Not entering the rest and

  462. the day we brieth will last. If you don't enter the rest and the

  463. Promise Land will miss out. That's why you need to remember who we are

  464. serving. The tune of Israel for God. They're serving God. They begin

  465. to complain and and they miss out friends someone us missing out, Only there

  466. is always a second thing that comes along our way. I was talking to

  467. a guy who just broke up. I wait for this girl. Maybe I

  468. can catch up the thing. Or maybe if I go off a new girl,

  469. right, I might be missing out. If I wait, I might

  470. be missing out the other. Like, dude, you think this is what

  471. this is? This is sushi belt conveyor belt with it. I think like

  472. alex O, I know, you know, like missing out friends. I

  473. maybe you're so concerned. It's true, out of friends. It's true.

  474. You know it should be concerned about my life and then this stuff. But

  475. it's beyond that. But this is our calling and God's calling to us us,

  476. isn't it true? Don't be like the ture real miss out. They

  477. couldn't enter the Promised Land. If you've got many friends who travel down to

  478. Singapore, stop at JB because I forgot to bring the passport. I got

  479. friends that forgot to being the past passport less a six month. Don't be

  480. the immigration officer. I just have to talk to them. Cannot in there.

  481. They stayed in Gimi for a couple of years of your own fellowship in

  482. Singapore. That's what happens. You can only see the excitement only across the

  483. river or the long comes. You can only see the excitement that everything there,

  484. but you cannot enter. And that's why a lot of Christians we miss

  485. out, because we don't have obedience in our hearts. We miss out.

  486. And finally it's going to be this, friends, The only reason why Paul

  487. cant completely. He remembers, this whole entire journey is spiritual. Come on

  488. right now, it is spiriture the friends, this Christian work that we have

  489. is not just physical yea physically here, but it's a spiritual journey. God

  490. call you for a spiritual journey with him. Right turn me, miroral galationis

  491. chapter five, verse sixteen. Come on, gaitions. Chapter five or sixteen

  492. says that walk in the spirit, and you should not for fee the last

  493. of the flesh. He asked encouraging us to walk in the spirit. He's

  494. encouraging us for us to walk in the spirit. Many times our journey,

  495. we actually can forget what it means to be a believer. In other words,

  496. friends, spiritual discipline, a few of them is pray and fasting.

  497. Prayer and fasting. I want to encourage you to zero two four start the

  498. year right, join us or pray rarey. Subsequently after that, be engaged

  499. this year with fasting because we really need the lot on friends, you don't

  500. know how much we need the lot until we actually prayer. Ask God for

  501. and for his wisdom. The Bible say, if anybody likes wisdom, we

  502. can ask from him, but we don't ask well, ask for everybody else.

  503. Come on now, if we need provisions, ask from him. He'll

  504. provide. But it's easier to ask someone else. So the Bible here says,

  505. walk in the spirit, and you shall not fore feel the loss of

  506. the flesh word seventy. The flesh last against the spirit. They're constantly in

  507. war fighting, friends. A lot of Christians try to manage the flesh.

  508. Mm hmm. We tried to think that we can always beat it to submission

  509. very hard. I'm not talking about craving for a chocolate tale. You're supposed

  510. to die here, crave for a checkout you give yourself the chocolate tale or

  511. the pop belly and this stuff like that. Okay, I'm not talking about

  512. craving for you cannot take sugars sudden you walk us a this shop, you

  513. just wack it. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about someone life

  514. choices. Right, We make things based on what we see alone and not

  515. what how God wants is and where God wants us to go. Very important

  516. for you and I to remember this is a spiritual journey. A spiritual journey.

  517. Therefore, we need to ask God, God, please help me give

  518. me strength. Why did God say that I'll give you strength like eagles.

  519. It's none of us gonna go feathers. It's a spiritual journey, you and

  520. I. The Bible says God will make it where it seems to be no

  521. way, a river in the desert. We have this image, spiritual image

  522. of what it looks like. So it is a spiritual journey. Friends,

  523. Paul, I want to encourage every believer in relatious The only way to overcome

  524. the flesh is to you to the spirit. Come on right now, isn't

  525. it true? We can We can stay up to book a concert. Very

  526. hard to stay up or read the Bible in the morning. No, no,

  527. no, If you stay up the concert, God bless you. Okay,

  528. it's over already done with, but sure, come on, come on,

  529. it's very true. One. I'm just trying to just show to you,

  530. Okay, if you're that the group, I'm not knocking you. Okay,

  531. please please, okay, please all right, like's again, this is

  532. my last time in this church this year, my last time in this church

  533. this year. You're not supping to see me anymore this year, right?

  534. But everything else easier one when it comes to for example, diety is easier

  535. than spiritual fasting, true, isn't it? I think is easier and spiritual

  536. fasting. When you fast your purpose is for the Lord. It's hard one,

  537. but your first because you want to get healthy, will get leaner.

  538. You want to have it packs slightly easier, not easy, but slightly easier.

  539. When you want to read the Bible in the morning is harder. But

  540. when someone asks you out for tim is easier. Why is because come on,

  541. you understand this, right the flesh, come on the right the flesh.

  542. The flesh always tryable all the spirit, because we allow the flesh to

  543. have full rain. So the pause asking the trade relations the work in the

  544. spirit, and you shall not fulfill. How do we complete this journey?

  545. This is to war in the spirit. The Bible says that God has given

  546. us the Holy Spirit. Here's your helper, here's your advocate. He will

  547. guide you into all truth. But many times we don't engage with the Holy

  548. Spirit. Ask God, I want to encourage you as as I draw it

  549. to or close very soon. That Paul is reminding us again that to walk

  550. in this part here, it's just to represent the pattern of conduct of one's

  551. life. Pattern of conduct of one's life. He's not asking you to walk

  552. from point A to point B. But how we make decision, How we

  553. make decisions. Sometimes we make decisions just purely by the flesh. And you

  554. know, sometimes the hardy exist that when we have walked to a person because

  555. this viision was just met without anything, without consultation, with a love,

  556. without prayer. If we have to walk to a person's journey, a person's

  557. life. As a leader in church, I need to walk to with some

  558. couples that when they fall in love in the first place is all on the

  559. outside, very quick, very immediate, two hours after knowing the person,

  560. she's my life partner or he's my life partner. God, but we say

  561. hold on first, okay, good that you like somebody prays a Lord,

  562. at least you like somebody ela, pray at least pray about it. I

  563. think, is it good? Wife's not pray about it? Not batter and

  564. you see, don't don't pursue prayer about it. God prayer about it two

  565. days and God gave me confirmation almost like the direct line. You know,

  566. friends, sometimes we we pray for God's guiding, for guidance with the church

  567. label in like one man of prayer will So don't have a clear direction.

  568. This is not like life partners, No friends, forty years of your life

  569. given to the same person twenty four hours can get connection? Okay, I

  570. cannot when the person us is the name the Lord told me, it's okay,

  571. how to argue you? Come on? Come on? When you got

  572. choers it? The Lord spoke to me how to our guess paren because the

  573. Lord is bigger than our nima. But we can we know one friends,

  574. we know, come on, is any true as peras we know one reading

  575. of prayer? Not because the fruit will tell right. So after that,

  576. but they pursued. They ran all in a right other day thing and everything.

  577. You have to tell people, hey, don't go, don't go,

  578. don't go, don't go, don't go. Holiday by yourself. Okay,

  579. because you've got a lifetime. Why I need to fast track everything now after

  580. you come. You don't go for a holiday before you come. You want

  581. to go all the holiday? So how do you don't understand old fashion?

  582. Are you? We promise to stay in different rooms? I say, but

  583. there's nobody there to promise me you will not cross the line? I say,

  584. who knows? You say now only you cannot even wait? What in

  585. the spirit? And you're not for fear the loss of the flesh? There's

  586. nothing wrong in praying God? Say wait, can we take away from the

  587. lot? Can we take a no from God as a yes? We like

  588. yes? We got to restaurant and they say you got this dishes? Not

  589. yes? We go to a car okay place God? This is all not

  590. yes? Could no? God? This also no? We don't like know

  591. it's because no, it's dempening our spirit, our excitement. I will joy

  592. right with em. I only give them one start. If always a no,

  593. try giving God one star because you say no, think about it?

  594. So what in the spirits? I close right now. Friends, I want

  595. to encourage you before you end the year, have this mindset. I want

  596. to complete my race wherever you are with the journey, whether you're young,

  597. young, slightly slightly, slightly, slightly older, young, all right,

  598. wherever you are with the journey, have this way. I want to complete

  599. my journey. I want people to be able to stand up and say it

  600. at the last year and breathe my last day that I actually thought the good

  601. fight. I don't people just use scripture because he's a believer. I don't

  602. people just use a scripture because he's a believer. Right, and many times

  603. friends can be honest when we use the scripture. So what fight do you

  604. fight for? I know that some people in our church. I'm not asking

  605. you to change the world. I know that people in some who lost a

  606. love for our church. That family men who passed away, the fight was

  607. really just to go to church, to provide a Christian environment for the children.

  608. That was the only fight they had and they thought it well. Their

  609. fight in the early days of their life is just to go to church.

  610. The only believer in the family. Parents say no by saying that I got

  611. to go to church. H what is what has what have we been fighting

  612. for? Your just your rights? This is our rights? My right is

  613. my comfort? Or say God maybe I've been misled, Maybe I've other words,

  614. I I've went through my own journey, and she forgot who I'm serving.

  615. Should we can actually forget who we are serving on after a while,

  616. right, It's not like Jesus is physically year all right, if Jesus comes

  617. to the farm of Selena, guarantee you everybody he'll be saving. No,

  618. seriously, sorry, but it's true. If it means if there's a physical

  619. Jesus, guarantee nobody, nobody he'll be if I know, just extra hours

  620. on you putting in God, come on, give me more, give me

  621. more. But there's no physical Jesus here, but there is Jesus up in

  622. heaven. Say God, I'm gonna just want to give you my heart because

  623. like like Paul, his life will just pour out. My commitment is to

  624. you Lord. So as this year really draws to it and hallelujah, the

  625. good, the bad, the ugly, the victory, something like, yeah,

  626. immediate to the year end, right, start a brand new year.

  627. But friends, it's not just a chronological year. You know what I mean

  628. that I mean we looked it's like I know, every time across over first

  629. January there's new excitement, you joy hoping something will be different man, But

  630. the moment we just surrendered the Lord, it will be different. We do

  631. not need to wait. I did the first culture first January. Ya.

  632. It can be a new year by the decision we've made with the Lord.

  633. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more information on our church,
