You're listening to a message to go from at church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. The title of today's message is chosen or not
-
chosen or not So sometimes we want to be chosen, and sometimes it appears
-
we're not right. And sometimes we think we have all the answers, we
-
think we're the best person for the job, but it doesn't happen. Now,
-
this can happen very often in your workplace, Kraignon, how many of
-
we experience that I should be the one, but I'm not chosen? Right?
-
And it bugs us. I mean, truth be told. It gets
-
to us, it gets under our skin, and you know, at times
-
it may make us angry. At times it may make us upset. And
-
sometimes even in church, even in the ministry, we may not get chosen,
-
even though we in our own eyes believe we're the best people for the
-
job. I hope that this message will speak to us so that we understand
-
how God used things and there is a purpose for everything, and for everything
-
there is a purpose. So we need to get to scripture. Right.
-
It's not what I say that means anything, is what the Word of God
-
says. So let's get to a scripture, and we will be reading from
-
Judges chapter one, verse seven. Then Jerubal that is Gideon. We all
-
know the story of Gideon. Okay, we're gonna learn some thing. That
-
is Gideon and all the people who will with him rose early and enkemped beside
-
the well of Herod, so that the camp of the minion Knites was on
-
the north side of them, by the hill of Moray in the valley,
-
verse two of chapter seven. And the Lord said to Gideon, the people
-
who are with you are too many. I don't like a lot of people
-
in this situation. I need that to be less people, all right.
-
And you know the thing is that, Gideon, m the MIC's a bit
-
loud. Is it too loud for you? The back? Okay? How
-
am I screaming too much? Okay, I'll trying all right. So anyway,
-
uh, you know, sometimes just too many. You gotta understand that
-
when Gideon gave the call, thirty thousand people showed up. Hey, that's
-
kind of good, right, isn't that great? When you give the call
-
thirty thousand people show up. You know. Sometimes you give the call,
-
and we give the call, and we call some more, and after we've
-
done all our calling, nobody shows up. But in this case Gideon must
-
have felt pretty happy. Yeah, I just gave the call and thirty over
-
thirty thousand people showed up. That's good, right, No, God has
-
a different opinion, all right. And it says here that and the Lord
-
said to you, And then the people who are with you are too many
-
for me to give the Minionites into your hands. You know, if God
-
is to do the giving, if God is to do the doing, if
-
God is to do the victory. Sometimes our plans get in the way that
-
God may fail. Ah, you mean God can feel it's not God that
-
fails. But you see, if God has to have the victory, our
-
plan may not coincide with his plan. Our way of thinking may not coincide
-
with his way of thinking. So there were too many people less. And
-
this is the answer. Lest Israel claim glory for itself against me saying my
-
own hand has saved me. Do you know that God is not interested in
-
giving us any victory for which he will not get the glory. So if
-
you win without him, you have lost. Do you realize that if you
-
win without God's help, you have lost? And God is not interested in
-
giving us any victory for which he will not get the glory. So the
-
question is why is it that we fail? With God on our side?
-
This is what we have to ask ourselves. Could it be? Could it
-
be that we have thirty thousand people in our corner? Could it be we
-
have so many things going for us that he is not getting the glory and
-
therefore he will not lend himself to that victory. Oh you see, so
-
in this very simple you know, it's just the introduction. Man, you
-
have some answers, maybe, But why we don't you know that as a
-
Christian, we're supposed to win every time. We're supposed we're supposed to live
-
a life of victory. That doesn't mean we we that doesn't mean we may
-
win every battle, because every battle that we lose is something for us to
-
learn, to learn so that we will win the war. All right,
-
So let's move on. That's those are not in my notes, by the
-
way, Daniel four twenty six. And this talks about heaven rules, and
-
I want to tie in some of this, all right, Heaven rules,
-
And towards the end you kind of understand where I'm coming from. Heaven rules,
-
Heaven In this scripture. The meaning of this word heaven means God's realm,
-
God's realm. You know we are going to be going to putra Jia
-
for our twenty fourth anniversary. You kind of get tunctiously the twenty fourth on
-
the twenty fifth, right, twenty four on the twenty fifth, mikes yere,
-
I think a twenty four might be on the twenty six. I don't
-
know. It's very confusing. Twenty fifth and twenty six, twenty fifth and
-
twenty six. Yeah, it's very confusing. Okay, never mind, not
-
important. But what's important is we are going to put to I went to
-
the place. In fact, in that that overhead shot, you see one
-
small clump of people. I am somewhere in that clump. Okay, you
-
need a real good magnifying glass or magnify ten thousand times. But it's a
-
beautiful place. First time I'm being there, it's enormous. Men, first
-
time I went there, it's you and trust me. Take a court.
-
I think the hall will get cold. Okay, Econ is second or none,
-
right, So it's a beautiful place. What is put to Jaya.
-
Putrajaya is the realm of the leadership of this country. All right, it's
-
the seat of power. In the States, it's Washington. In England,
-
it's London. In aus Australia, it's Canberra. In China, it's Beijing.
-
In Thailand is Bangkok, the realm of power. So Heaven is God's
-
realm, the seed of power of the universe, the seed of power of
-
our lives. The Bible says that Heaven rules. The word rules come from
-
the word shalit, which means have mastery over all, a ruling. So
-
when we talk about being chosen by God, we're talking about it's a divine
-
relationship between God's sovereignty and our submission. Okay, no one came from Pastor.
-
I sometimes check my notes, you know. I asked Pastor for advice,
-
you know, I send in my notes, and he said, this
-
is merge or. You know, it is a very nice collaboration between God's
-
sovereignity and our submission. So we've got to remember that when we talk about
-
being chosen by God. This is very important. So you know that when
-
God was dealing with the was dealing with Gideon and the people, wonderful thirty
-
thousand people showed up, but God said, that's not my plan. It
-
will cause me to fail, and I don't want to get involved in that.
-
I don't get involved in things that fail. You know, God does
-
not fail, and God's record is one hundred percent successful. So he says,
-
we've gotta do something about it. So what's the first thing he does?
-
God says, ask the people, those of you who are afraid go
-
home. Those of you are afraid go home. You must remember that thirty
-
thousand people showed up. Twenty thousand went home because they were afraid. How
-
many of us, when we have read this passage, be honest, look
-
down on this twenty thousand. See if your hands. Okay, only three
-
people who are honest in the whole. No, you're all honest. Okay,
-
But how many of you felt that these twenty thousand were not so good
-
because they went home? Right? Yeah, I want to share something with
-
you. Do not look down in this twenty thousand. Do not look down
-
on this twenty thousand, because we actually overcame their fear to show up in
-
the first place. Did you realize that come to war in me, thirty
-
thousand came those of you are afraid go home? Twenty thousand left. These
-
were twenty thousand people who were not forced to come, but came anyway.
-
But the Lord said, I want the victory. We look down at the
-
twenty thousand. We shouldn't. Then God said, it's still too much.
-
It's still way too much. So take them to the water to drink right,
-
So they all drank water. There were those who got on their hands
-
and knees, put their head to the water and drank. They were nine
-
thousand, seven hundred, only three hundred so lazy to kneel all the way
-
down to the water, scoop the water up and drank from their hands.
-
God said, send the nine thousand, seven hundred people home. I want
-
you to know something. These were nine thousand, seven hundred people who were
-
not afraid, and their only mistake was they drank water the wrong way.
-
Anybody teach them in school how to drink water? Was there a lesson on
-
the right way to drink water? Was there any course? You're in Singapore,
-
they take courses on colors. What color shirt you wear determines what kind
-
of person you are. I was so surprised when I heard this, friend
-
told me. And they actually pay money to go and listen to someone who
-
will teach them about the benefits of colors. Wow, if color makes you
-
successful, if yellow color makes you successful, I think that's the only color
-
you will wear. How sad is that there are so many colors? The
-
color black is wonderful. Someone once told me the color black is the absence
-
of color. Okay, good fight with it person. Okay. So the
-
thing is, these nine thousand, seven hundred people were capable people, and
-
the Lord sent nine thousand, seven hundred capable people home. How do you
-
think they felt? How do you think the nine thousand, seven hundred capable
-
people fell being sent home? They were not chosen. It's very important to
-
realize that sometimes when we are not chosen to do something, it is good
-
for us. For doing the thing that we are not chosen to do is
-
destructive. As I was, sir. Okay, sometimes doing the thing that
-
we are not chosen to do is destructive. Okay, you want to know
-
where it is. Okay, if you read first Samuel chapter fifteen, we
-
will be taught. That's about Saul. Right. So Saul had just become
-
king, and Saul was given an instruction by Samuel. I want you to
-
wipe this whole. I want you to wipe these people out. I don't
-
want their cattle, I don't want their sheep, I don't want their lamps,
-
remove everything. But Samuel thought, hey, these are good stuff.
-
Why don't I sacrifice it to the Lord? Was Samuel chosen to be a
-
priest? No? Who was the priest? Was Samuel? Samuel gave him
-
an instruction, But Saul took it upon himself to do what he was not
-
chosen to do. What did God say? I regret choosing Samuel as king?
-
Saul so growing old, thank you so much. I regret choosing Saul
-
as king. The kingdom will be removed from him and given to somebody else.
-
So you say that the twenty thousand were afraid, the nine thousand,
-
seven hundred or the remaining ten thousand were not afraid. Nine thousand, seven
-
hundred was sin. Hey, you want to look down on twenty thousand people
-
because they were a don't ever do that, because let me tell you,
-
actually, twenty thousand and one was scared. Who was the one? Gideon?
-
Twenty thousand and one people were scared. God sent twenty thousand scared people
-
home. One scared person remained. And how do you know and how do
-
we know that Gideon was scared because the Lord told him, if you are
-
scared, go down to the edge of the camp and listen to what they're
-
saying. You read, And what did Gideon do? He went down?
-
So what was he? He was scared? He was scared. So we
-
want to look down and the twenty thousand people don't because the twenty thousand people
-
were obedient to the law. And don't look down on Gideon either, because
-
God said send those twenty thousand people home. He didn't say twenty thousand and
-
one person go back. He didn't say that, So Gideon was also obedient.
-
Wow, you know, I have read descriptures so many times, but
-
I never saw this connection. I never saw the connection between Gideon and the
-
twenty thousand. Isn't that just like us? I mean, how many of
-
us are scared of life? Truth be told, life is pretty scary.
-
We don't know whether our job is going to remain. We have no idea
-
what the economy of the land is going to be at. I mean,
-
I remember a time when the US dollar was two ringed and thirty cents.
-
The US dollar is now four ring it and seventy cents. Do you know
-
I even remember a time when the Singapore dollar was one ringed and ten cents,
-
and some of us are older, it was one to one. You
-
could actually use the Singapore dollar in Malaysia, Yeah, you could today.
-
Forget about it. Forget about it. How did I go there? I
-
scatthered? Okay, okay, So all right, let me just get that
-
going, so we don't look down. We don't look down on these people.
-
But the people who were already nine thousand, seven hundred were rejected,
-
or were they? In Judges eight one, it says, now the man
-
of Iphraim said to him, why have you done this to us by not
-
calling us when you went to fight with the minion knights? And they reprimanded
-
him sharply. The nine thousand and seven were not happy the nine thousand,
-
seven hundred, and later on they rebuke Gideon, you had a victory,
-
you didn't call us to be with you. They were upset. So sometimes
-
God speaks to the people of authority. It's not necessary for us to know,
-
it's necessary for us to obey. So when the people in authority say
-
do this, we do it. It's goody. They give us an explanation.
-
But that doesn't happen all the time. You will understand a little bit
-
later on. Even as I go. Now, let's just look to David.
-
David wanted to build a house, a house, build a house for
-
the Lord. You know, he had all this wonderful experience. He had
-
built himself, really lovely house. It looked great, great architects, great
-
staff, look pretty, look good. He had experience. Right, So,
-
God, I want to build you a house. I want to do
-
something for you that's going to be glorious, so that when people look at
-
this house, they will say this is God's house whom David built. And
-
in that you'll find an answer why Lord did not allow David to build a
-
house. So anyway, as the story goes in First Chronicles twenty two six
-
to eight, he says that he called for his son Solomon and charged him
-
to build a house for the Lord, God of Israel. And David was
-
not allowed to build the house of the Lord because it's said, but the
-
word of the Lord came to me saying you have shed much blood. This
-
is the word of the Lord coming to Samuel. Because when David told Samuel,
-
I want to build the house for the Lord, you know what Samuel
-
said, go for it. Man, go for it. It's a good
-
thing. Go for it. And then after he says go for it,
-
he comes back to him and says, no, you can't do it.
-
How many of us feel upset when things like that happened? Has this happened
-
to us before? You're going to it and then next day you cannot do
-
it? You want to go and ring somebody's neck. True, I'm speaking
-
truth here. You want to make the guy a punching back, and God
-
doesn't want us to take up boxing against somebody else. Go and do it
-
on a punching back. Okay. But anyway, you have shed much blood
-
and have made great wars, and you shall not build a house for my
-
name because you shed much blood on the earth. In my sight, God
-
will not accept anything that may cause us to exalt ourselves. Details on how
-
God has you know in two Samuel seven. And this is another message that
-
will be coming on the house that God wants for us. You know there's
-
a house, and there's a house he wants us to build. But I
-
want you to know something. When the word came to Samuel, it almost
-
seemed as if God was telling Samuel, don't you get it. I'm the
-
one who builds the houses, not men? Because God went into this statement.
-
He says, all through the time, when Israel was walking in the
-
desert, they had a tabernacle for my name, and wherever they went,
-
the tabernacle was taken down and put up. I have looked after them.
-
I have been a sheltered And he goes into this thing, and shall men
-
build me a house. David then tells his son Solomon, you go ahead,
-
you build a house. And I was thinking, why is it that
-
when God you say, shall man build me a house, and you allow
-
Solomon to build a house. I think the lesson is for us to learn
-
that nothing that man builds will stand the test of time, only what God
-
builds. Because where Solomon's temple for God today, it does not exist.
-
It does not exist anymore. And the Lord explained this to me. Do
-
you realize that Solomon's temple was so beautiful and so Onnate doesn't exist today.
-
It was rated, every stone was upturned and turned over. Before I get
-
to that, let me give you the lesson. God knows things that we
-
don't. You know, some of our experiences and the ways of life may
-
taint or disqualify us. Hey, we have become successful, And truth be
-
told, sometimes the way that we become successful is not exactly the way God
-
wants us to be. So our life experiences may taint us, may may
-
disqualify us. Let's say I became a model in the building empire by raising
-
the rent, chasing out the people who are too poor, tearing down their
-
houses, building up and selling it to very expensive people, very very rich
-
people. So I became very rich. You think that's what God wants?
-
Do you think God wants to displace people who've got no homes? Do you
-
think that's the way God would have done things? So, sometimes our experiences
-
in a world that is rough, maybe dog eat dog, right or not?
-
True? Not you know, the world when they get to where they
-
want to go. You know, it never ceases to amaze me how rich
-
people think that when they come into the house of the Lord, they deserve
-
respect and honor above the janitor that keeps the place clean. I love this
-
example, and I've shared this with you before. One of the favorite God
-
my favorite gospel artists, Mylon Lefev who just passed away last year at the
-
age of seventy eight. Do you know it's very strange. I've never met
-
the guy, but when I learned of his death, I really felt sad,
-
happy that he's gone to be with the Lord, but sad as if
-
I've lost a very good friend. I can't explain it, you see,
-
because I know his music, and when I listened to his music, and
-
I've sung his music, and I've played his music, I've got to know
-
his heart. He was a musician who played with Jimmy Hendrix. How many
-
of you know who Jimmy Hendrix is. He used to play with Eric Clapton.
-
How many of you know who Eric Clapton is? More hands when up,
-
good, good, good, same expertise, same greatness. At the
-
age of seventeen, he wrote this song without him, I can't do nothing
-
without him. Might surely you fail without him? I go a drifting like
-
a ship without a sale. Jesus, So Jesus. He wrote that song
-
at the age of seventeen. It was recorded by almost every artist, both
-
secular and gospel, and by that time, every time he puts his hand
-
in the pocket he take out bundles of US dollar bills. Very rich.
-
He was the richest janitor in his church, in any church, sweeping the
-
floor. But a multi millionaire. You want money, you have a bundle
-
of money. This was Mylon. But he was into drugs until he gave
-
his life to the Lord in such a way that God made him clean.
-
Then he said, I have lost the right to use the mic because of
-
my lifestyle. So I will be a janitor in the house of the Lord,
-
and that shall make me happy. And one day his pastor says,
-
Mylon, follow me to the prison. So you say, your pastor goes
-
to the prison. Pastor preachers. Then the pastor takes a guitar and says,
-
Mylon, plays a song. But Pastor, I don't do that anymore,
-
since you ask me, I will. And he plays a song and
-
he sings, and when he looks up, every prisoner in the hall was
-
down on their knees, giving their life to the Lord. And so he
-
began his new ministry. Called Mylon the feather in the broken Heart, because
-
God heals the broken heart. And he brought thousands to the Lord, thousands
-
of people to the Lord. I got respect for that kind of guy because
-
with all his money, when he came to church, I will be a
-
janitor in the house of the Lord. You go to any church. How
-
many millionaires do you see at the door shaking hands and welcoming people in.
-
But I know of very rich people. When they come, they come in
-
their bodyguards, and so they walk into church and they've made millions in the
-
world, and they expect God to use them in positions of power and authority.
-
Do you think that's the way God works? Because my Bible tells me
-
that David the King, God said, no, you will will not build
-
because your lifestyle, because your experience has disqualified you from doing that job.
-
I want you to know there's also a nice, nice reason for not being
-
chosen. We have experience. I mean, I've been a Christian now for
-
forty four years. I've had experience doing so many things. I was the
-
drummer for forty years and forty years twenty years drummer in my church. Twenty
-
years I played the drums. Do you know I could worship the Lord and
-
the drums, So just by playing the drums, I could actually bring down
-
the presence of the Lord, the anointing of the Lord. Just by playing
-
the drums. Was I a good drummer? Not in my side? But
-
you see, God doesn't necessarily use an expert. He uses someone who can
-
do the job. So I can do that. I can do a lot
-
of things, I feel because God helps me. The other day, you
-
know, we were in uh. I was in the office and there was
-
this engineer he is he's a he's a he is an intern or he's an
-
engineer or his first year engineer, and he was trying to fix a TV.
-
There there's a different TV story here. He was trying to fix a
-
TV and he had this meter. You know what media does anybody know what
-
the you know thing? But to multimeter is it a mouth mouth voltage multimedia?
-
You know? You turn the thing and you touched to So anyway,
-
he was trying to figure out why this TV was not working. So he
-
had the a TV opened up and he was touching the motherboard trying to figure
-
out. So I said, what are you doing? He said, I'm
-
trying to figure out why this TV is not working. The power won't come
-
on. So I had a look at the board and the spirit a lot
-
pointed me to one very small item and I said, this is the reason
-
that the TV is not working. This little component is burnt out. So
-
he went and he said, you're right. How did you know? I
-
don't know, but I read the Lord. So what I'm trying to say
-
is I can do this stuff. You give me any stuff I can do.
-
You know, we were doing Easter last year and there was one song
-
which I wrote many years ago. I couldn't find the song, so I
-
wrote a new song. I wrote a new song in an hour, and
-
then I one. I gave it to him and we worked on It was
-
a second song that was sung. So what am I trying to say?
-
It was the first song? Actually, what am I trying to say?
-
The reason I was not chosen is because somebody else needs to get the testimony.
-
I mean, am I gonna be the sort of person who takes all
-
the testimonies for myself? I mean, if I do everything, then the
-
Lord will continue to use me. But somebody else is not gonna get that
-
testimony. God wants to share it, He wants others also to learn,
-
So you go and do something else. Look, God will continue to give
-
you testimonies. But the thing that you're not chosen to do is because somebody
-
else needs to get a story. Somebody else needs to hear from the Lord.
-
I mean, we all take it for ourselves, then we will be
-
the only ones who are blessed. So don't be so upset if we don't
-
get chosen, because others need a story too. Does that mean you don't
-
help? So when we don't get chosen, does it mean we what's the
-
word strike? I mean, hey man, I'm not going to get involved.
-
You didn't choose me, right, so you figure it out on your
-
own, not with my help. You know, I have all this power
-
and knowledge behind me and you didn't choose me, so you don't have me
-
now at all. I think what God's hand is shortened if you don't get
-
chosen, and if you don't volunteer the help where you can, he will
-
just use somebody else. Hey, A lot of the things that I learned
-
was when nobody wanted to help me and God thought it to me. God's
-
hand is not shortened. I've told you this testimony before that way back when
-
I was in Pizza Hut, computers had just come out green screen, no
-
green screen. How many of you remember green screens? See? Only a
-
few hands. The rest don't remember green screen because it's that all. So
-
when it first came out it was lotus one, two three. How many
-
you remember lotus one to three? How many have you heard lotus one to
-
three? Those of us with gray hair? It don't exist no more.
-
So my boss said, Okay, you gotta do the report. Huh,
-
do the reporter. I've never done, never touched a computer before, big
-
report to have. There's ten restaurants. You know what I did? Calculator
-
and add and subtrack each figure and put it in each column. Everyone I
-
did that? Now is that the way you do excel nowadays? No?
-
You use formulas. Man, So I knew this was not the way to
-
do. Was anybody teaching me? Nobody was teaching me. So I said,
-
God, can you help me understand? And I went home. When
-
I went home in a dream, it was like a something just dropped in
-
my head. Next morning, when I woke up and I opened my eyes,
-
I saw everything. I rushed the time I was riding Motorbikera from Clanger
-
to Pga, speeding, got the office, ran to the computer to test
-
out what I saw in my head. You know I saw in my head.
-
I saw two baskets. Put put a number of fruit in this basket,
-
put a number of fruit in that basket, and in them in the
-
dream equals if I plast this basket and the basket, how many fruit will
-
I have? And I did it and it worked. WHOA. Then I
-
tried the division sign and the subtraction sign and multiplication I couldn't find. So
-
must have been something that looked like it. So I tried the asterisk.
-
Nobody taught me, you know, and I did it and it worked.
-
Wow, I went crazy. Man. My first worksheit, which I designed
-
that day, cut down two weeks of work to two hours. And I'm
-
not exaggerating. It was God. Then when the Lord you know when when
-
it when he gave me his computer program that time knows such thing as accounting
-
software. You had to employ someone to write the software for you. So
-
they employed well known as the Omicron system. Does it exist today? No?
-
Obsolete? Two hundred thousand Singapore dollars that time they spent on it equivalent
-
maybe one point two million in today. That month, four restaurants opened,
-
but it wasn't updated into the system. So I called a guy only one
-
person, Hey, I need four restaurants to be updated. Sorry, I'm
-
not here. I'm in Hong Kong, Ah. But the report has to
-
get out. Say no, I cannot help you. You know, you
-
don't understand at that time in pizza hude, if you don't give the report
-
was like the food for the bosses. The report don't come out, they
-
staff to death, cannot survive. So there was no choice. God,
-
can you help me? You know that? The Lord opened my mind.
-
I pressed a couple of buttons. Wow, all this thing came out,
-
and believe it or not, I could read it. Have I ever learned
-
programming? Never? But I could read it. You know what I did?
-
I copied everything and changed the way I would have a restaurant. It
-
was pages and pages long. I printed it out those days the printers were
-
the You know, I don't think they have these printers anymore. Maybe they
-
might. Pages and pages long. I sent him the facts check it for
-
me. He said, how did you do this? Where did you learn?
-
I said, you didn't help me. But my God came and it
-
worked the very first time. So you see, when nobody was teaching me,
-
I still had a testimony because God taught me. So now if I
-
take everything into my hands, I'm robbing someone else of getting an opportunity to
-
get their own testimony. So not chosen doesn't mean rejected. It just means
-
that God has a different plan. Do you know nothing is wasted? I
-
want you to know. And this is the fun part. David not chosen
-
right. He did not remove himself from the planet. What did he do?
-
He provided? He supplied. Hey, today's terms are he supplied seventeen
-
point seven billion US dollars in silver and one point four trillion dollars in gold.
-
That was what David supplied Solomon to build the temple. And that was
-
not even counting the fantastic wood that came from Lebanon. That was not even
-
counting the cost of labor. Can you imagine how much the temple that Solomon
-
built for God was worth in the trillions of dollars? Is it no wonder
-
that when the temple was destroyed, not a stone was left upon another stone
-
because people wanted to loot the gold, They wanted to loot the silver.
-
Anything that is built by man's hands makes it open season for someone to take
-
away, makes it open season for someone to take away. And that's why
-
God is speaking to me about a different message. But the House of God
-
and how the House of God is today and the way God has built it,
-
No one can ever steal, no one can ever take it. That's
-
another message for a different time. So in Determent Deutronomy seven or six,
-
it says, do you know that we are all chosen for you are a
-
holy people to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you
-
to be a people for himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on
-
the face of the earth. Do you know that even when we're not chosen,
-
were chosen. Just remember, we're chosen not to do Twenty thousand people
-
were chosen not to get involved. Do you know that the nine seven hundred
-
people had now gone back and they were angry with Gideon, which means which
-
tells me Gideon did not say the Lord told you to go back. It
-
was the Lord. He didn't say that. He just said go But you
-
want to know something, They went away, but they were angry. So,
-
just in case we think we are not in go involved in God's plan,
-
let me sort of come to closure with this. So he said to
-
them, what have I done now in comparison with you? It's not the
-
gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Ibiza. God has
-
delivered into your hands, the princess of medium or reb and Zeb and what
-
was I able to do in comparison with you? Then their anger towards him
-
slowed down, diminished. Do you realize that when the people were angry,
-
David told Gideon told them this, why are you upset? Do you know
-
you had the better part of the plan? Because I just took out the
-
ordinary people. You took out the kings, he told, and the nine
-
thousand and seven hundred were among those people. Why are you so worried?
-
You had the better part? You know? I sort of just grew the
-
plants. But you're the one who ate the grapes? So who had the
-
better part? Then? They thought to them, so he had. It's
-
truer. Okay, I won't be angry anymore. So can we be patient?
-
The battle will come to us and God will be victorious. You know
-
that even when you're not chosen, it will come to you to win.
-
Is that amazing? Isn't that amazing? So today I don't play the drums
-
because for better people play the drums. It's the worship better when you got
-
somebody better playing on the drums. It is so has in the victory also
-
come to us. So if I get involved, you are getting second best?
-
Why you want to live with second best when you can get the best?
-
True? Not so I realize I'm not good step aside other people are
-
there? Can you be patient? Can we be suppliers in God's plan?
-
So sometimes we're not chosen? Right, That's okay? Can we be facilitators?
-
Can we be help us? Can we be supporters? Oh? The
-
worst thing is when you are an elder like me, elder in the sense
-
of age. When you're an elder like me and someone younger gets chosen,
-
and then you say, who is this young person to teach? They just
-
come to the Lord. I've been in the Lord forty years. What can
-
this young person teach me? Please? Don't be like that. For those
-
of us who are older in age, celebrate a younger one being chosen.
-
Get behind them, man, because what happens when you get behind them You'll
-
be blessed. What descriptions say you get the better part? Wow? So
-
the only not only with those were those who not originally chosen. They were
-
part of the better plan. And I want to end with this. God
-
always wins and he will always have his way because Heaven rules. Being chosen
-
is recognizing God's sovereignity and giving to him our submission. So, guys,
-
I think a lot of lessons here to learn today, and and I like
-
this one and this one I didn't share in the last place. I shared
-
this message, which was so the younger one gets chosen, get behind them,
-
get behind them. I think I try to be I try to be
-
an encourager where wherever I am or where the younger people are concerned, you
-
know, because I've experienced the Lord. I want them to experience the Lord
-
the way the Lord has helped me, and even more, you know.
-
So that's wonderful. It's like John said that he must increase and I must
-
decrease. It's okay, it's okay. He's chosen to do that job.
-
I was chosen to to point you to him. And I've done that job,
-
and it's okay. We all have our parts to play. And with
-
that chosen or not chosen, that is the question. Hey, it's okay,
-
it's okay. The Lord will bless you even you know, in anything
-
he wants to bless you. So I pray that this message will help you
-
even it is help me. Praise the Lord. We hope you've been blessed
-
by this message. For more information on our church, please visit church do
