The One Thing | Pr Sandra Chin

You're listening to a message to go from at church. We hope this message

will light up your day. I want to share today with us a passage

that I've I've actually not really shared from this passage simply because past has done

such a great job, and so I on this particular passage. But but

I had this sensing in my heart that, you know, like a question

God would ask us today, all right, individually, how would God speak

to us? What would he say? And this is the thing that I

received in preparation for our service to this morning. Okay, cool, Now,

as you know, our theme is that all may know, ah,

and everyone that you are in contact with is going to be blessed by your

presence and by your testimony, and and that being our foundation or you know,

this is going to be lifelong, loud that all may know. It's

just not one year's team is just building up to remind us every person.

I just lost my big uncle, my oldest uncle, who's who's the number

one of the well he's not number one, it's the third or fourth in

the family, but twelve of twelve. My father is number eleven. And

so the gap between my father and my uncle, so my father passed away

last year and this year, my uncle's only left three siblings of the twelfth

your family, and I went off from your youngly. Yeah maybe my uncle,

but he's not uh yeah. And so I lost my uncle and unfortunately

he did not want he did not want to receive Christ. Yeah, we've

shared. I think my my my parents have spoken. They know we are

believers. In fact, his nephew, no, his grandson, which is

my nephew, is the next j Yeah, so I didn't even know it

was my nephew. And there I went from my uncle's ninetieth birthday. You

know, he's like pastor Jim, who are you? I'm your I'm your

father, and I'm your auntie. Yeah, I see our family is so

big, twelve in all. And so if I have nephews and nieces,

I wouldn't know that my nephew or my niece because we don't meet. Grandma

passed a long time ago. But yeah, just the salvation is so so

key, but we at least must share with them, right, we tell

them how much God has done for them. And so I lost my uncle

and and he said that here's no Christ. So that's the pain lot that

we will carry up eternity without Christ. And so we have continued. So

I'm on the journey to reach out to my cousins. I can't reach to

my aunties and uncles. We have shared with them as well, but they're

not ready to receive, but my cousins. So I've been praying that my

cousins one by I mean slowly, I meet one at the timer and connect

reconnected with one of them and hopefully I get to share more with her.

Yeah, so yeah friends that oh me know. So that being the scene.

But today you know, people are going to be watching you, looking

at your life, even coming to you and to ask you, either to

pray or to ask you about what is this relationship you have with God?

And I feel that we will have something to say and something to share.

I have. I have a part time cleaner and she's no any indonation.

They don't say too much because my name. She's my neighbor's cleaner. That

I really needed help. I'm dying here and I always say thank you Sangilongan

because I cannot do everything now, so much to do. And uh,

that day she asked me, you know, miss, I wanted to pray

for her actually, but I did have the know how. I don't know

whether it would be offended. But I'm learning la because the Majority faith very

clean. But but I she did ask me to pray for her because she's

heaving ans idea attack and insomnia. So and I tried to share you for

what something she can do? And uh and I asked her when I see

her and sometimes that my name was yeah, yeah about it. But then

she's worried about the fact when there's no more. But will she continue?

So iry to tell her yesterday and so yesterday I told her, Billa,

you must say other authoritors the Alam nama Alma, you must be burda.

So I say you you believe right is can So I'm not asking to believe

anything that's not out of your your faith. Say yah yah, So you

pray in that name, I said, then you allow all the ibliss,

all these ibliss, you know, all these demons coming to you. She

said, okay, okay, And I will keep praying for her, just

an opportunity to reah for us to show God's love or and I finally,

if I can pray for her, if she asked me, I will do

it. I will not because it's important to draw some Sometimes people can blame

you, you know, and and so, but I will just when she

asked questions, I can share. When they ask question, I can share.

So I'm really looking forward to really yeah, pray for her or share

with her. So I keep sharing with her, but I don't push it

on her. So I learned. I'm learning things from especially from past.

How we do this. Let them ask you questions, so when they ask,

I can share. And then the more I can share, she she

don't, you know, So praise God. I forgot all my being think

you what this word is? What is this word? Don't worry? Don't

worry? What? Don't worry? All these words don't want to come out.

Yeah, so so I don't know have to. I know the word,

but it just not coming, you know, it's not coming. But

yes, so but as we go along, yeah, there's fine, you

know, whenever God gives an opportunity, you know, I like kind of

kick myself. And I told my accountability group. And I've got this account

to one campus, one teen and myself with an accountability group. So I

don't kick myself to share with them. No, So I say, you

see, this is what I did to afraid or whatever. I didn't have

the words to pray. But yeah, I'm gonna try, and I'm skilled.

I will still continue to try a man, So I encoura you.

Yeah, I got might bring somebody to you or ask you you trailer fraida.

God give you that boldness to say something, to share something about the

goodness of God. Amen, and let him use us to be dessaulted and

like that's so we're not converting anyone, We're just being sought and like that's

why he asked us, and tell them what He's done for them and why

it's so important for them to know him. Amen, hallelujam. So that's

our theme. So but I'm bringing this word today because that was the word

that God put in my heart. Is I was just seeking him and what

I bring to to to exam pound and I might bring it to other other

services as well because such it's a I think it's important word so the world.

I'll come back to the key topic, which is can God still be

number one? Okay? Can God still be number one? So why because

of this passage we're gonna read and it's Mark chapter ten, Mark chapter ten,

verse seventeen to twenty two. Now this is about a young man.

And this story is repeated in Matthew the nineteen and also Luke chapter eighteen.

But I like the one in Mark ten. So I'm gonna read from Mark

ten, and I'm gonna ask you to turn to your Bibles and i'm gonna

get you to read. All right. So if you open your bibles and

uh, and I'm just gonna dig c. I just want to invite you

to read God's word. Let's celebrate God's word. It meant so it's so

a few times we read God's word. We're in church. Come on,

let's read God's word. Okay. So okay, we'll start with your phone.

Obviously, our family family, that's I can call on. You've gotta

know his name, all right, it's dangerous and I know your name,

right, So it kind of like take a round. So we start with

your phone soupering, and you know I always call you, see, okay,

and then we go around like that, well from seventeen to twenty two

one it's and it's done all right, So and read it out loud,

ken, okay, Chap Mark chapter ten, verse seventeen. Okay, don't

worry us seventeen good, yeah, good, whatever version you can read,

your version, don't worry on his journey. A man ran out and neelt

before him and ast him good teacher. What must I do to have other

life? Amen? Jesus sick? Why do you call me good? No

one is good except alone? Amen? It was nineteen Yeah. But to

honestly your question, you know you must want you must want to, you

must mm's love any one older your father and mother? Man string t Amen?

Amen to really got to it. I'm so excited to read some more.

Okay, amen. So this is the story of this young man.

And in this scene right, like many of you, he was young and

young people here, okay. He was rich any rich young woo. And

he was a ruler, all right, not the ruler, but a leader

all right. And now you find that in Luke chapter eighteen where they say

there was this ruler. So he was someone imagined like a yeah, he's

someone who was a leader. He was, you know, rich, he

was young, he was having it all. He's doing good. Low.

He was you know, he's coming to all the judge officers. He's I

probably knows Genesis to revelation, I don't know. And he came running.

Why so gun Jung, why he came running? We are running? Okay?

So he came running to Jesus someone nil down, you know, and

said, you know, Lord, a good teacher, called him a good

teacher. What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And the

Lord said, why do you got me good? Because when he God is

good? Well, so okay. And then Jesus just plainly says, have

you followed the commandments? Just like laid it down right? These are the

commandments, and the commandments I read it again from So the commandments come from

Exodus, chapter twenty, verse twelve on vers Exodus twenty twelve and verse twelve

all the way to verse seventeen. So there are six verses that so kind

of like Jesus quoted back to himler, okay, you please, you know

not please? Verse he says that no murdering, don't commit a doubty,

don't steal, you know, don't bear false witness amen, and don't covered

your neighbor's housewife and everything all right, honor your father and mother. Amen.

So he gave this, and and he and this. This young man

said, you should have just told me I've done it all. He said,

I've kept it since I was a youth. You know, I've done

it more. You know, he's probably that kind of guy. And he

could have should have just stopped and like, yes, yes, I've done

it all, right, and and then but he but in Matthew, he

he after saying that that you know, I've kept it all, he didn't

goes on to say he should have just full stop. But he didn't.

Now because he didn't full stop, Jesus, very go ask you the next

question. So in the Matthew chapter, he said, what else do I

like? You know, because I don't let anything. I'm so good,

I'm really you know, I've done it all. I've got to see you

ask me. I can't. And then Jesus, you know, looking at

him, and only Mark, he says, Jesus looking at him, loved

him. Wow, our masters. He looked at him. He loved him.

And he said to him, okay, one thing you like, go

your way. Okay, go ahead, sell all that you have, give

it to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Then come pick

up your cross, pick up the cross and follow me. Wow, Hi,

calla Hi, call too much, Jesus too much, because he says

it says here he was very sad at that word. Shucks, why curse?

He had great possessions, He had great possession. He was very rich.

Now that's how we know he was very rich. Okay, And and

so I came and I went to different versions and I liked some of the

different versions of when Jesus said this. Jesus looking at him, loved him

and said, one thing you like. Another version says there's one thing you

still need to do. And another version and ELTI says there's one thing you

haven't done. I say, you know, So I'm I'm not focusing on

anything else that you can draw out and love the fact that there's this question.

And I feel in our walk with Christ, and I'm speaking to you

know, my brother and sisters and all of us are in our journey and

our destiny and the Lord, and this question, I'm just I'm just drawing

back at us. What is this one thing? What is that one thing

that you still need to do? Okay, as you walk with the Lord

and as you see God, especially when you're asking the Lord like what should

I do to inherit eternal life? But you're not asking that, probably are

saying, God, what's my next thing? What should I do next?

You know, what's the next position I should go? What's the next job?

Or not? I don't want to do anything. Leave me alone.

I don't know you're talking to the Lord. I feel as we journey with

the Lord I and as we're saying this this morning, I will make room.

This is a question of making room. Hello, there you you worship

this morning we say, Lord, I will make room. It's so easy

to sing a song, but it does touch our hearts right and the depth

because that question is you still need to do one more thing, not because

just once you do one more thing. Look at that story. He's loved

him, the fact that he ran. He came to the Lord and he

said, tell me, you know, I want to know. And sometimes

we're seeking the Lord and we're seeking him for a direction or saying and I

want to what's that next thing? And you feel a little stuck. Now

there's the story and the message on waiting, which I'm not preaching today,

and waiting on the lot. But today's that inner question, what is that

one thing that we still need to do or what is that thing that you

haven't yet done? And Jesus asking us that, And especially if you've been

searching, maybe you're waiting on the Lord, and don't give up waiting.

Okay, keep keep because the one who wait upon the Lord will renew your

strength. You who wait on the Lord will receive what God has for you.

But so important that we actually ask the Lord. And so many times

as we see I don't know, I only lived forty years in my Christian

faith forty years, but as I'm growing up and now having to lead people

as well as the opportunity to serve the lot this way, I find that

so few people have been asking and seeking and praying. We just make decisions

on the fly because of what I like, I feel Jesus and the faith

that we have in Christ. It's not about how I like or I feel.

It's about what God has for you. And when we receive Christ,

when he invited us, you know, this is what Jesus doing, inviting

this young man to come into a relationship with him. And when we have

a relationship with someone, we want to know what that person thinks before I

decide what I want. But of course if you say I don't need God

because I don't see a necessity, well, one day I pray you will

see that you do need God. There's no way you don't need God.

There's no way. Because He made us, He loves us, He created

and formed in us the whole likeness and why we have compassion and kindness,

and you know that those parts. And of course sin is in the world,

all right, and this is where Jesus forgives us from the whole penalty

of sin. We stand forgiven and and and that's why we're so grateful that

you know, as we we sometimes mess up, we think I can't come

back to the Lord. I want to tell you, no matter how messy

it is, come just come to Jesus, because there's no man will accept

you like the way Jesus accepts you. No way. I tell you.

We could have been a murderer. Look at Paul, You are a murderer,

all right. Someone could be a been a cheetah or whatever. I

mean. If today that you know someone in your cabinet, you think they're

the worst person. If we if we except grit will never forgive him.

No, God will forgive you. I tell you this is God. I

don't understand him all the time. But but that's forgiveness. And so that

one question is if the Lord would ask you this question if you were praying

and and and and and you're seeking and as you're walking along, you know,

every day, every day friends resistance, I believe God always does ask

us a question. He says something, what is that one thing that you

haven't done? What is that one thing you need to do so that you

go onto your next platform, your next breakthrough. Because this man, this

young man, really had such a pious heart, such a heart too.

He did all the things right, He did everything right. But what was

God after the heart? And God invited him, Jesus invited him into a

relationship with him. And this is the thing he said, go okay for

this young man, it was to go and sell what is it for you

and me? Okay, come back to you. He says, do all

this and have treasure in heaven when more will not eat it? All right?

And he says come wow, if you hear the word from Jesus,

colmer, you better come let all right, because nobody else will tell you

come and e turn the teas there come you come, now, you come,

okay, And he says, take up the cross and follow me.

Someone follow me. You know. Of course, now we are thinking take

up the cross. Oh, my word. But then Jesus his burden is

light, not heavy. The cross is not heavy because he took it for

us. But we are. He's saying, come and identify with me.

I carry the cross already, Come and identify him. No, no,

my resurrection power. But also know my sufferings, and maybe we might have

to go through the sufferings. Sometimes we get rejected, sometimes we get persecuted.

Sometimes nobody likes us because we follow Christ, or because we believe in

a certain stand. We stand for the righteous thing and this thing. Come

take up the cross again today I'm not even talking about taking up the cross.

I'm just throwing a question that maybe this is the question that might be

in the depth of your heart, or maybe then it may be framed differently.

But there is a question. As we walk with the Lord, he

does speak with us. Amen, And you know the commandments were then he

said, He's done it all. And as we look at these commandments,

these commandments have to do with people. It's about loving your neighbor. Ah,

so people dealing with people or taking from people or hurting people. And

he says, don't don't do don't do this, you shall not, you

shall not say it. I've done it so great, So maybe you will

say a lot, I've done this, and I've done that, I've done

that. You know, I've been there, seeing that, done that.

That's it. But that's not the answer God wants. That's not the answer

we want to shoot be even giving the Lord, I've been there, done

that's seen there. So I don't want to do anymore. I want to

retire. No friends, what's the lot saying? What's that one thing he

would like you to manage? What is that one thing he would like you

to do? And so I broke it down to three f's for us this

morning. Amen, okay, hear me out, yeare, and I'll share

if you also why I can also say I have that one thing that I

too need to have many things, but in my walk and if I want

Sometimes you want to say God wants that next thing. You know, I'll

let me do this, let me do that. Then the Lord say yeah,

but this thing now cannot touch. Can't touch this, all right,

But God wants to touch those areas that need to be touched so that we

can have freedom, breakthrough and move on, and then we can have a

very much more smooth a step up to the next thing that God is preparing

for us. But nonetheless, I want to say, if you are waiting

on the lot, don't move. If you he didn't tell you to do

that or this, stay wait on the lot. Because God, there's so

many are you I'm doing this study now, it's so many scriptures about when

you wait on the lot, there's results and it's not bad results, it's

good things. It's good things. Amen. Again, I'm not pitching on

that today, so never mind. I just want to say, this is

the question. There's this one thing you need to do, this one thing

you haven't yet done. And I broke it down to three f's for us.

The three f's is fruitfulness until the lot. Okay, the first one

fruitfulness until the lot. So this one thing I throw that question, are

we fruitful in our lives? Because there is a scripture in Isaiah somewhere I

think Isaiah, let me look at it. There's description Isaia where the Lord

says he planted a vineyard and he went to look for fruit. Okay uh,

and then there was no fruit. And it was very sad because God

said, I planted the fruit and the vine and then now nothing, nothing

came out of it. I think it was Isaiah five. So he was

very disappointed. All right. So when God looks at us, he already

put in us the goodness to bare fruit. Remember the prod the spirit.

That's one right, all right, we love the love joy piece, yes

amen. But the next one long suffering and kindness and you all goodness,

and then fulness of faithfulness, and then gentleness and the law and then self

control. Don't know what they can punk out ready, you know, okay,

that kind of fruitfulness, because that's the whole life of Christ coming through

us. There's fruitfulness in what you're doing. You know. God has given

you a gift talent. He's placed you there ay giving you power to make

money. Are you making money? This is God's gifting to you fruitfulness in

your life? Are you using your talent and let's and letting God walk through

your talent and use you fruitfulness? And so there's a question perhaps for somebody

it could be this yeah, I'm not really bearing the fruit of the marks

of Christ. I've been struggling with this. It's been hard to be good.

Goodness, How to be good to this before they're just killing me?

Or you know, how to be kind? It doesn't so evil to me.

But yeah, the Lord says, bear the fruit because the spirit of

God is living in us. Amen, hallelujah, and so fruitfulness unto the

Lord. Think about it, some of you, some of us here maybe

having to answer that question. I'm not done. I've not been fruitful in

this area. I've just been letting the gifting or the or that that that

desired God's poot to die or just leave it there because you know, it's

just it's all about me. I'm gonna tell you, when Christ came into

your life, it's not about you. It's about Christ. Too. Many

of us are living for the Me, and there's no such thing as me.

It's Him. Everything is Him in us. And He calls us and

he gives us life, and he breathes into us, and he says,

you know, you know you are my follower. You follow my son,

look like my son. I made you to look like him. But we

don't want to look like him because we want to look like ourselves. Yeah,

we're not go looking and like Jesus, like look like Jesus, even

look like Jesus. He says. To be like Jesus. I used to

when I first came to Christ. We used to sing one song. I

don't know if any of your bonnet time. He's not born yet, but

to be like Jesus, to be like Jesus, you're not born yet.

All I want needs to be like him, not born yet. It's a

very old song. Okay, so we would and I'm like, I can't

sing this song because I feel like I'm not like Jesus. But that's who

God calls us in Romans ten. We're called to be like his son,

and Jesus has done everything for us already to give us that strength and authority

to walk in his footsteps and to follow him and to do as he is.

Seeking first his kingdom meaning kingdom God, kingdom of God first means seeking

first, seeking God's a way of doing things submitted to Him. But I'm

sorry, Church, I have to say this. I notice that many of

us don't put Christ as first, and we don't even ask him anymore.

We just follow the crowd. We just follow what everybody else is doing.

And you and if your friends is not your I'm not gonna be here.

Who are we living for? And if you're living for your children, you're

also doomed because they cannot save you. Are you living for Jesus? Are

you being fruitful for the Lord? Amen? Are we being fruitful? God

give you the abilities be fruitful? Amen, multiply in the in the things

that He's put in your hands. Uh, that is the blessing fol unto

the Lord. Is this that thing and one thing that needs to be done

that we haven't done yet? Think about it? Just have it. I

mean, there could be a million things, but these big categories. I'm

not breaking it down too much. Just proofulness And are you fruitful? Are

you even happy being where you're at? Fruitful? Just doing well in your

work, producing well, we have a good witness, being fulful in your

witness for the lot and your office and your workplace? Is a student?

You know? Are you producing the homework on your assignments? Are you?

Are you, you know, being fruitful, whether your homemaker, whether your

dad or mom, being fruitful with what God has given to you? Have

a think about it. Is that what God is speaking to you, because

we come to the law and say, Lord, you know what is it

that I may have? You know, the next level? Where's where's my

next level? I want to go and do the next thing, but deal

with But then God might ask you this one thing, just to deal with

this one thing. Remember that King Solomon had this one thing that really brought

him down. He loved the Lord, but he had one thousand, three

hundred and one three hundred concubines. He married women that were not of his

own faith, and they drew him away and more. The wisest men became

the silliest men because of women that were not of the same faith. You

can have it all, but if you don't deal with that one thing,

his heart was drawn to the other gods. So we have to search is

can God still be number one? When you're talking to the Lord? You

see number one? So fruitfulness look at and you just you know, in

your prayer time, friends, make time for prayer. We just did our

homesnots homes and devotion. I don't even dare ask how many people reading the

Bible. I told my homies, your reading not reading? Right? Okay,

come I know they're all working people, they're all the big time.

But we cannot read not very hard to read in no wise another thing cannot

read Bible very small, diverse, yeah, I said, by law one

with large preen. Oh, no Bible. I'm gonna start a campaign.

I watch out for my campaign. Okay, handfood, hand food, dad,

I asked them to reader. I cannot find a worse. Why do

you Bible? Because can make large? I said, for crying out loud.

Where your specs propably la the elder pingo and always don't wear specs.

Always know, I don't know. I gave up ready, I just just

never mind wear the spects you call me? Oh, I don't care for

ice for Isler at least you know I can't read my Bible. No,

so I lend my Bible to somebody today. Sorry, you can read?

Why you read? You go? Spects too small? I already cannot read

small. No, but he could not read my Bible? You know?

So I think the natural things. What's the one thing you can do?

Get a large print Bible? Come on, don't be so? Was the

world oiling my man? Him mount oil man? You call it? Masa

want don want to get anything by because white people will know choose beauty over

life or something like that. You know you after they I'm reading with the

big big letter your phonerary people, no Allah, so big, I can

read your message by no one. Yeah, I tell you there has to

be a love for God's word. We have lost the love for God's word.

We have lost the love of carrying the Bible even to church. We

have lost it. We let the devil strip it off us. We need

the word of God. Don't give me this good love reading whatever is reading.

But all I'm saying is even the But they cannot find the verse.

I say, why were so long and so long? I'm leading people who

are my agent? But so I say, what happened? So I teach

you how to use the you version? Right? Can? So I want?

That's why I'm gonna do a campaign. So come on, Jesus,

Allelria, all right, so you know that, Just why do we stop

with certain things? Because sometimes we're not even doing what is so natural?

Jesus might be asking us, why not get a big lunch by print Bible?

Why not just do this? Or is it just that just you know,

fruit full? Lah? I don't know Lam fruitfulness in your health or

so much before full right, take care of your health. No one las

simply eat all the friend stuff. Then say are you got your girl fruitfulness

in your life? Amen? Amen? So now what is that the question

God is asking you? Alma two? I wrote, I don't know how

to write this, so I wrote the aspect of forgiveness. Okay, I

don't forgive yourself or you need to forgive somebody. It's powerful and that could

be that one thing God is asking you, Amen, because he's saying,

okay, I've done all this all right, very good, very good,

says the Lord. Okay, go and forgive your boss, Go and forgive

your dad, Go and forgive your sister, all right, and then you

will have treasure in heaven. Then come carry it across and follow me.

Francis is very powerful forgiveness, Amen. It can it can eat you,

it can weigh you down, it can rob you. And it's not God's

plan for us. It's not God's planned for us. Amen. We were

meant to walk in His freedom. And it's so big a topic that no

matter how I try to talk about this topic, because I'm sure and not

others speakers. So I suppose we speak about this, talk about it,

but then every time, minister people, it's still the same problem. I

cannot forgive. It's okay, you cannot forgive. Jesus help you forgive because

he forgive us, He forgive me, He forgive you. So then you

ask the Lord Lord, you forgive me. So I will choose to at

least stay like, Okay, I forgive you. Okay, all right,

I have to do it first. I forgive you. Okay, I still

hurt. I need some space. I can see your face right now.

Need some space. I woul choose to forgive in prayer first, and I

need some space, and then work it through slowly, slowly, but don't

hold it forever. Forgiveness what but two sites? You forgive yourself because how

you feel, you let somebody down, you let your parents down, you

let your best friend, you let your children down. So there's an unforgiveness

towards your own self. Please, I want to say the power of the

cross. What Jesus did on the cross was to forgive us. Can you

receive it or not be humble enough to receive God's forgiveness? Receive it,

receive it. He forgive us don't don't keep beating yourself. Number two.

Then we have the power and authority forgive those who have disappointed us, who

have rejected us, who have hurt us with let us down, with failed

us many things. I don't know what circumstances have been cruel to us,

evil to us. Who has destroyed our lives? People have destroyed our lives.

You have to forgive. Why I say you have to because it's just

the mark of what Christ has done on the cross for us while we were

still seenless. He didn't even know whether Sandra will follow him. He forgave

me. I rejected him. One day, as he still called to me,

I got the chance to receive his forgiveness. Amen. So the aspect

of forgiveness is the Lord saying to you this one thing, go and forgive.

Maybe that's the word for us, Go and forgive this sometimes so small,

right, like you know the story of the two servants. The one

guy went and catch you and strangle the guy. You only only ten dollars.

Give me, give back you give back. Try you in the jail,

all right, don't want to do want to lego? Please boss theandring,

I'll give you back. No, no, no, no. Then

he goes and go to his data and then says, you know, oh

him, don't know what right that the one who he said to him he

pay me back, he said, gimme getta pay back so much more.

And then he says, forget it. No, I'm not going to forgive

you, the weighingler. It doesn't matter where the small scene, big scene,

big forgiveness, small forgiveness. We need to forgive the power forgiveness sets

us free, and then you move forward. Then you see the breakthrough.

I've seen it. It could be in your health, it could be in

your promotion, it could be in your relationship. It's hard, I know.

I cannot deny. That is when you're very hurt. It's easy for

me to say, forgive her, Eleine, forgive her. You know me,

you know me. I don't know. I don't know so so,

but I only know one thing is the right thing to do. It's the

right thing to do, and it is the eternal way to do that.

You may have eternal life, fans, and God already give us eternal life.

He says, take up the cross. So maybe that is our cross.

Sometimes so hard, okay, I choose to forgive, and I will

I have to say to us friends, we need to finish the race.

We need to finish the race. And the challenge is going to be

harder and harder. It will be like one hundred times worse than iron men.

harder. The testings that will come. And if we cannot even forgive someone,

we can see how you how how you you? How you gonna talk

to God? And then we end up don't talk to God anymore because I

know it's very painful. I again tell you a lot of things. And

and you know, for unforgiveness and bitterness and all these comes one package when

cousins, brothers, cousins, sisters, all will come and stay from from

unforgiveness to bitterness to I don't know what, I can't remember all the names,

you know, suspicion and this everything will come in one package and it

will eat us up and and crisis. I don't meant, I've never meant

for you to live like this. This is the one thing. Go go

your way, forgive, go your way, forgive yourself, go your way,

Let go, and you will have treasure in heaven. Come take up

the cross, follow me. What an invitation? Amen? And there's many

areas in our lives that we need to search. This a question you will

sense Holy Spirit asking you, you know, is it aspect of forgiveness?

Is it aspect of fruitfulness? And then thirdly, is this fulfilling God's call?

Fulfilling God's call? Sometimes God is calling you. God has a call

in your life to do something to serve him. To go somewhere, to

plan a church, I don't know, to start a new business, to

reach out to somebody, you know, fulfilling your call. Amen. Right.

And if you know what you're supposed to do, your purpose, you

do it and you find so fruitful, so happy, right, so joyful

because you're doing You're in the right place at the right time, doing what

God has called you, fulfilling God's call. And this is what God might

be saying to you, Hey, you only one more thing to do.

Go your way, and what is it? You know, go and start

that business or who is a plant that church, or plant that break group

or you know, go to that auntie and and and reach out to it.

Auntie. That's so hard and hard and harsh on you go to the

auntie and talk to her. Halla Lord, but that's your call. Only

you can reach that anti that uncle. No one else can. But you're

like I under stay away from that person. It's so difficult to reach,

right, And this is fulfilling God's call. And maybe we're not fulfilling God's

call. And so therefore you are not able to move because then your answer

would be he was so said because he was sorrowful. He went away sorrowful

because he was carrying a lot of unforgiveness. He was sorrowful because he didn't

want to bear any more fruit. He was sorrowful because he didn't want to

answer God's call. Friends, we all will step up before the face of

Jesus and answer this question. We better answer this one now, answer other

questions later. And it's like turn to the exact time, and you got

sixty questions, right, and you which is the easy one to answer?

This is the easy one to answer. Answer this of us to forgive is

divine to forgive. Really, it's in your power to forgive. You unlock

the chain the prison that you place yourself in, and you release that person.

Also, sometimes that person I may not even know you have unforgiveness against

them, you know, because it's us. Yeah, and I tell you

it's very real. It's very real for all of us one way or another,

whether it be a matter of ministry, for you know, fruitfulness in

what we're doing, our work in our ministry, whether it is forgiveness or

whether it's even fulfilling God's call. It's very real for all of us.

Each of us will have to have gone to something or else, going to

something. I know, even when Gods sak to me, is that one

thing, that one thing let go not fair? Some one hundred times I

want to tell my because you know, my boss is also the one I

sleep with. M hmm, so wrong, right, I sleep with my

boss so bad, right. I share the same bed, in the same

room and the same house. Yeah, it's mostly my boss, lawyer.

I didn't marry the boss before married, then he became my boss. Yeah.

Yeah, this is very hard in ministries, very hard because you're you're

the next per cellar, You're you're one last. So sometimes you you appreciate

if the boss will say well done, good and faithful. So but you

know your boss is telling everybody as well done. It's not that it's just

that there's it's my struggle sometimes, right, because I'm also under employment.

I work under the my organization organization. I'm not saying he doesn't say he

does. But there are Daysler, there are moments and I wish just me,

to be wife. Then they'll say, yeah, good, what your wife.

So this it's called it's called you are ungrateful and you are disatisfied,

naturalala. But I wanna tell you I've been really and I hope I will

study this and learn as well and share a few I'm doing the Book of

Romans now. It's a powerful book. It's systematic theology, and then we

read it years and yes, but this year it really caught me. And

if we just don't feed to the colonel, to the flesh, you can

just live in the spirit and walk by the spirit. So with your mind

you serve the Lord, and with your lousy flesh. He was the law

of sin and death. But if you can just say that's dead. I

live to the spirit, buy the spirit, and walk in the spirit.

But all of us struggle with our carnel and the flesh. What we want?

What I want, I bo come along. He's called a flesh.

Yeah, Jesus redeemed us and says, hey, you walk under the law

of the spirit of life in Christ. Jesus, therefore there is no more

condemnation under the law of sin and death. And he says, the things

I want to do I don't do, are but I don't want to do

I do those other times. We don't forgive, we don't want to be

for food, we don't fulfil the codling. I don't want to do this

because we are fighting between the flesh and the spirit. Yet, yeah,

we all say, Basa, we're all human. W Yes, we're all

human, But we feed into our emotions too much. I realized that I

feit too much into my emotions. I've I've always spoke to us before.

Last time, No, I will tell you no, I can't say so

many things. I just tell you what you need. Never talk to me.

You need to talk to that dead person. He always says the right

answer. Why do you say that? I think it's not fair After you

feed to my flesh and make me feel good. God is not interested in

forgive, Go and give to that person, Go and feed the poor,

go and help that person. Go and do that, not just good works

and make us feel good. Now, it's when the Lord tells you to

do that and we don't do it. That's what this story to me is

about the questions that you will be asked or go and ask for forgiveness.

Ah yo, don't want very hard to do. Walk up to the person

and then someone saying, hey, not like I did anything wrong. Word,

but still have to go out the person and say, please forgive me.

I can't help loving you. Okay, No, that's not that's just

hardest thing, but it's the most powerful thing. I tell you that you

ask someone for forgiveness, especially when you have either said something behind that person's

back, or you said it to their face, or you forgot. It

was just terrible. Right, So this is your pastor who failed in a

new church plan and one of our members who came I was telling you it

alle our new church members game and been hear with us for two years,

and she asked me one something, to do something for the blessed new blessed

the new company, Come and blessed like come and prayer and you're not.

Most of your oldies will know when we do that. We all come,

We wish it, we pray, we said, then appointment. I was

so busy in that season that she asked, and I kept and I couldn't

meet the schedule because we had the home leaders, so faster schedule couldn't meet

mine. I couldn't meet his and it was just conference and I was doing

exclaim him, oh my myself, and then and I had did do I

do? And you know, answer the call whatever, and it was just

a conference. I just so overwhelmed and just hard to tell the new member

and I'll try to try, and I didn't and and I remember, but

not that I forgot, just that I have a bad habit. After a

whole while, I'm like, oh mabe, they forgot about it too.

But the person did not forget. Loves me like crazy, loves me to

bits. But god upset thought there was fast fault. They didn't come to

bless the office. So when I had the word and said, and I

said, wait, it's not fast, it's me. Please forgive me.

He's not done nothing. In fact, buses say when. But I couldn't

meet his schedule that season, and it's my bad. I didn't get to

update you, Sola. She was very upset, but upset about other things,

which is which I think, is that I canna help. Okay,

let's church. Sorry, right, I say, you know you cannot allow

this is okay, I'm sorry so but but this one I really asked for

her forgiveness and of course, she said no, but I understand you.

You want to do it so well that you you stall. I say,

yeah, because that's how we do it. We will come, we will

worship, we will pray for you. We will do it properly, not

not just fifty minutes you just jump in and jump. I said, we

don't do things like that, No jumping, jump out, no such thing.

We really do it well, come together. But it's me. I

couldn't meet the schedule. And not that I forgot, I just couldn't match

the thing. I asked for her forgiveness. Now they did it, change

and she'll come back to She hasn't come back last she won't do my friend's

church love so anyway, Uh, we'll still talk to her. But again,

she loves me to beats. She would do anything for me, but

she just and then of course she said it's me too. I'm proud.

Yeah, but I had to ask for her forgiveness. I had to say

sorry to SBO as well, that I lost the sheep. You know,

she really loves the church, but but she just cannot see on these things.

But I had to askwer for forgiveness. And I asked her more than

once, just to make sure I say properly to her and and she says,

it's okay. Past I understand, but me too. Forgive me because

I was out of line. And so sometimes, you know, I just

have to although I feel very bad that I lost the sheep, the family,

actually I lost the whole family. But I had to admit what was

my mistake and what was my lack and and owned up for it. And

I owned up to my boss, and I owned up to my whole my

pastor, my boss, also my pastor of KK. I do, Daniel,

sorry, I lost the sheep, and not because I purposely did.

It's just sometimes just so much and there were ways to do it better.

But you know, at that time, I was just up to here going

through all of that. So I want to say that it set to us

freeler. I just have to feel to know that I did the right thing.

I face to face as I write to her, I text her,

I'll I'll do whatever I did what I did, and we're friends. She

said, no, you're a really good sister. You're a good pastor.

I wish her mother's day. I do all that because she's a friend.

She's not just a member of the church. She was a friend, you

know, someone who got to know us and really loved X. But then

because of one mistake, she she thought it was past this fault. So

I had to tell it's not. Puss's very good with his appointments. We

can't. But I'm the other way. I cannoto, I'll squeeze it.

But then I really tried to squeeze it, and then you know, so

she said, okay, okay, So I honestly, sometimes it could be

little mistakes that we did. Maybe it is not really at ault, but

this thing about you know, just learn to ask for forgiveness, to set

ourselves free. Really God wants is free. Sometimes it could be a calling

on your life and and and maybe you'll still wait, or maybe you're just

saying no, Maybe you go and do this, or go and do that,

or plan that, or start that new business, or go and visit

this person, things that the Lord would ask you. I really want to

encourage us to man up, to be bold, courageous and take that step

to honestly search your hearts, because this one thing is actually when God tells

you to do, it's more important than to do what other people are doing.

Other things you can't do what other people are doing. You need to

do what you must do. And it's not forut following your trend. It's

not about following what the popular demand of the day is. What did the

Lord tell you to do? You do it, and then you will have

eternal life. And if you read the towards the end of the whole passage,

and if you read all the way down verse twenty nine and verse thirty,

you know the Lord said, it's very hard if people trust in riches,

they cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. And I was reading a children's

story book about the little Gate and how this camel was looking so so well.

The lad you know, laid up, you know, and all the

barm to sell, you know, and he had to enter this little gate,

and so he and he had, he says. The camel had a

servant, the little boy, who brought the camel to go to the market.

And he and then the poor camera with all he weares, he tried

to go into the needle the eye of the little gate, and he couldn't,

and he was very sad. And so the little servant said, maybe

we take out a few things. Are you there? I won't look grand

anymore. So nevermy we just take it off first. And he went in,

still couldn't and said, look, I have to take off the hole

that seat, you know, you put the camel's back, take it off.

And he took it off, and he looked like any other camel.

He didn't look like a special camel anymore. And then he tried to push

himself through the little gate and one, two, three, boom he got

through the gate. Sorry of relief, but all the things that he carried,

all the wares, were left outside so that he could enter that gate.

You know, sometimes we just have to let go of a lot of

things, and you think you will lose it. I will be like everybody

else. But no Bible here says yeah with men, with men, very

hard to enter, very hard to do what God is calling us to do.

And I know, how can I not trust my riches? How cannot

trust this or trust my God? And they say, no, trust in

the Lord is with the Lord, all things are possible. And in verse

twenty nine, Jesus answers. I say to you there's no one who has

left house, or brother's, sisters, father, mother, wife, children,

land for my sake and the gospel that all may know who shall not

receive a hundredfold. Now in this age houses brothers, sisters, mothers,

children, land with persecutions and in the age to come into anal life.

Wow, are you hearing the word of God? You're reading it. If

you haven't, you got to read this. When you go home. We

will inherit every good thing God has for us. But we will connow persecution,

meaning people, Yeah, the enemy is not going to let you go.

Lah. You always come and lie to you and tell you this and

tell you that because the devil doesn't want us to follow Christ all the way.

He knows that when we do it God's way, it's going to be

eternal, and it's going to set us free, and it's going to bring

us the success that no hand of man will be upon it. It will

be divine Amen, and they will set us apart, set us free.

Harlen Lujah and God. That's how God works. Do the right thing at

the right time, the way He is leading you to do it. Don't

hold it on because he says you feel like are you are observing the law?

Giving up this? Are giving up there? And sometimes people say,

alway, give up this and it's really nothing that we've given up that God

will not repay you back one hundred for he does. He does. I

recall from where where I started when we started ministry to where we are today,

nothing to do to what God wants us to meet, A whole new

family, so many more new families, not only in Malaysia but globally,

new family members, family that are part of the ex family. We will

never have the opportunity had we not taken that first step of obedience. And

I want to tell you I was not the obedient wunner men. My husband

said start church. I like, yeah, that's how naughty I was because

I said start church? You crazy? What do we know? We come

from such a big church. Now you want to start church and the church?

Are you bus this life? Like? People will kill you and murder

you and backstep you. You want to be that fuss that I don't want

it. So we didn't start a church. We started a ya a better

organization, but still good thing to do. But still gotta let us back

to start a church. Ur And if people say bad things about God's church,

any church, it's still God's Church is his plan and purpose to build

the church, the ecclesia, the local church Greek word for church, ecclesia

the local community. And I didn't want to do it. Cannot move only

until okay, I caught it. I caught it, and I said,

let's do it. Let's do it. And then that's what God has brought

us to. Did we get it right all the time? Now be a

learn law, say sorry, law, please forgive me law. You're angry,

law, you're upset, law, right buried a head, shawa,

come again, do it again. But that's God, he says. While

you feel all of these things, you come, take up the cross.

Follow me. This one thing you need to do. You follow, and

Free amen. And too many of us don't want to take the narrow road,

because narrow road is very tight. Ready some paid very tight and no

more. But it leads to eternal life, it says all it's hard,

but if you get through that one road, you're gonna get through the other

roads as well. I tell I guarantee you. And I'm still making those

one thing you still need to do choices on a here and their basis.

Sometimes I get into that thing again. You're an upset again. I upset,

you know, because I want my flesh to be happy, but not

my spe And what is God saying to my spirit man, that's who I

need to please, my Father, not me. Amen. So all our

decisions that we're making, always pray, Always bring to the lot first.

That's the one thing we are called to do. Seek first the Lord and

God will will knock knock on the door of your heart and tell you what

to do, and lead you and don't run away. Sure it's hard,

it's inconvenient, la, a very inconvenient one sometimes you are, but it

will be what the Lord is preparing you for even a greater result on that

I get. I really believe so. And that's what he does to all

of our lives. Amen, hallelujah. So mainly friends, You and I

struggle with our flesh, We struggle with our carnal self, right, and

we can't seem to be able to talk about surrender and release sing it.

And that's what we pray this morning, that be a surrendered heart and let

go and give unto the Lord. This is how it happens. When the

Lord speaks you, you and I must act. Even if you don't act

yet, he will wait. He will wait for us to act because he

knows you cannot skip standard tree before you can go to standard six. Life

is such in the natural and in the spiritual they're a parallel. Yeah,

I mean once in a while you get the smart students skip and go through

it. I remember those days they skip send something and my mother say,

you see you sobordo, their friends so clever ai whatever I mean, it's

fun to go through the whole thing lies okay, like not to late,

to not too soon, not to lay lie, get through lifelsers. So

when you're earlier, you know, if you make you feel, make you

feel like you're not going now f lie, you just loser. And those

voices not from Jesus, okay, to those voices around the pit of hell.

You can listen to those voices. No, if there's men like that,

just come on, just go with it. Go with the Lord's timing.

You cannot skip. You cannot skip. You have to learn before you

go to from one. You've got to finish ten A six. Oh you

you can't you skip. You you lost that information and knowledge. And that's

why Jesus is saying, that's why that young man he had everything, but

he had this one thing. And that's why the question I felt that we're

go into our hearts that sometimes when you are walking, when you're on your

own, when you're not collucted with the business of life, and when you

have that moment of quietness, I believe the Lord will speak to your heart

and say you've got that one thing, and when you take that step in

obedience, because our whole faith is about the Christian faith is about obedience.

That is what the Christian faith is about. Obeying the Lord when he tells

us, that's why he said, come take your take up the crosset follow

me. It's about obedience. And he's not a god who is angry with

you every day, who's like me and be a slat the human being but

God is looked at that young man and loved him. God looks at you

and loves you, and even have the answer was a wrong answer, not

what he expected, he still loved him. He was said that this guy

had to walk away. Oh man, I love you, but you're not

already. Oh wait. Thank God that he is patient and he waits for

We have to mature. We have to mature. We cannot remain the

same. You cannot be five years old forever. If Harper remains this age

forever, you are afraid you will be so afraid, be very afraid that

your child did not grow. How come in a natural you can expect?

When why your sputure you cannot expect? Come on, people, you five

year old? Grow up? We have to we have to. But but

but God is patiently, lovingly says to him, you still like one thing.

You still have to do this one thing? Go and what is it

that you need to do? I guarantee you it won't be easy, but

it is necessary, it is eternal. And you follow Christ. Don't turn

your back on the lot. Just follow Christ. I tell you the breakthruth

to the law? Bring the fruit of the spirit? Are we? Are

we allowing God to work through our lives? Use us a man? Fruitfulness?

Maybe the question for you is about fruitfulness. You know God has placed

so many goodies into your life. What are you doing with it? How?

How are you serving the lot with it? A man? Or what?

What? Whatever? Else? I can't iveagine? Speak up fruitful in

so many ways, in the talents, in their kindness, in their generosity,

wow in their giving, in their love. This fruitfulness. Actually you

can love one but you choose not to love. You can love, but

you hold back your love because you are angry with that person. You're angry,

harper, angry. And you know we we we we withhold our love

from our loved ones, maybe because our you know, like you know,

I don't have the best relationship with my mom. Is in not like the

friend friend mom that I don't have. Their mom's very strict. Sometimes I

withhold my love from her because you don't understand me, mom, You've not

loved me the way I want. But then God would say to me,

this is one thing, let go. Why so I withhold my love from

my parents, or from my friend, or from my husband. Even between

husband and wives, we withhold the willingness, We withhold our warmth because we

felt that our husband, you know, our wife is other people first.

So I don't know, I feel that sometimes in my line of work,

I have to share my husband and everybody. He probably talks all the hundred

million words he has in the day to the whole stuff. By the time

he gets home he really started. I'm thirty nine, thirty years man,

I know already, oh okay, just carry on. But he knows when

he needs to do what he needs to do it. That's when he does

it. Love. But I'm just saying sometimes we before because our flesh wants

something that you know, God's teaching us too mature. I want to encourage

you Church. If Jesus was here, I believe he will ask you,

Lord, one thing more you need to do. Forgive one thing more you

need to do. Go talk to that person you haven't talked to. Go

to that auntie, Bring a dish, bring your love, answer that call.

Stop holding back. So many people just run away from calling, from

serving, from being used by God. I want to say to you,

you want to breakthrough. You want to see yourself grow, extend and span

in pride. Perhaps the Lord is saying one of these things or other things.

You know, there's a big umbrella answer the call. Amen. Yeah,

we you know. I sing this song and I love the song because

it speaks to my heart. But making room for God? How do you

make room for God? Church? Don't just sing a great song? Do

it? Make room? Push the unforgiveness aside, push that laziness asign,

push that dumb what's the word. I can't even think of? England gone

ready, Just things that we are prejudiced about. Push it aside, make

room. Don't think that the song is talking about your church. All shake

you up the ground, all my religion, your religion, Ray Bro,

it's your religion. It's your walls you built up. Don't think it's about

ex judge or bred in church. No, it's you. You built up

the wall, you put up that whatever. Make room. It's not just

thinking about the church or my churches, whole school, or we're still doing

this. No, it's you make room by pushing aside these walls that were

built up, by shaking up the ground of what you believe that. I

cannot forgive because you don't deserve to be forgiven. You hurt me, You

don't deserve it. Oh Lord, I can't. I can't trust you.

If I can, if I answer that call, I'll be busy forever.
