  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day this morning. Okay. The title of my message

  3. is called Missions in Action. All right. So I'm pretty sure that all

  4. of you know the great commission? Right? Who doesn't know what is the

  5. great commission? Everybody knows? Do you all know? Where does the scripture

  6. taken from? Right from Matthew twenty eight? Okay, Matthew twenty eight was

  7. eighteen to twenty. This scripture is no stranger to all of us. Is

  8. basically what Jesus said, go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing

  9. them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  10. All right, Okay, so all of us know that this great commission,

  11. this commandment that Jesus has given to his you know, his disciples,

  12. to continue to preach the good news to the people. And sometimes we may

  13. look at this scripture me say that, hey, you know, this comment

  14. is given to his disciples only what he has got to do with me?

  15. Right, Let me tell you that this scripture is really got to do with

  16. every single one of us. Okay, But today I'm not gonna talk on

  17. Matthew twenty eight, but it's more of life getting ready for the word that

  18. I'm going to share later on. Okay. So also to remind all of

  19. you, the team for XTRAGH this year is what bargles know what No what

  20. know about? Know about Selenathan, know about Johnny, No about Eddio,

  21. no about what, No about Jesus, Okay, know about God? Okay.

  22. We want everyone that God has placed around us to know that He is

  23. the Most High God. And that is our purpose on earth. You know,

  24. sometimes we may think that, yeah, I'm earth to make wealth,

  25. I'm on earth to make my name known. I'm on earth to climb the

  26. corporate ladder, I'm on earth to be the best teacher that everyone can ever

  27. ask for. Yes, that can be our dream. But our main purpose

  28. is so that all may know that He is the Most High God. All

  29. right, So what I'm gonna do is we're gonna We're gonna bring all of

  30. us into reading from the Book of X chapter one and chapter two. So

  31. what I'm gonna do here is that we're gonna read through this two chapter.

  32. Okay, it's very long, but bear with me, and yes, even

  33. if you cannot bury it. Also, you have to bury it because there

  34. is always joy in reading the Word of God. Okay. So everyone can

  35. has your Bible with you, Okay. So I don't hope that moving forward,

  36. everyone will bring your physical Bible with you, not only digital, because

  37. nothing is better than having the physical Bible with you. Okay, yep.

  38. So we're gonna read from X chapter one, okay, and I'm going to

  39. read from NLT. Okay, So reading from X chapter one, verse one.

  40. Okay. In my first book, I told you to your feelers about

  41. everything. Jesus began to do and teach until the day he was taken up

  42. to heaven after giving his chosen apostle for the instruction through the Holy Spirit.

  43. During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostle

  44. from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he

  45. was actually alive, and he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.

  46. Once, when he was eating with them, he commanded them, do not

  47. leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised. As I told

  48. you before, John baptized with water, But in just a few days you

  49. will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Verse six. So when the Apostle

  50. were with Jesus, they kept asking him, Lord, has the time come

  51. for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom? He replied, the Father

  52. alone has the authority to set those states and times, and they are not

  53. for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes

  54. upon you, and you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere

  55. in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the

  56. earth. After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they

  57. were watching, and they could no longer see him. As they were strained

  58. to see him rising into heaven, two white rope men suddenly stood among them,

  59. men of Galilee. They said, why are you standing here staring into

  60. heaven. Jesus has been taken from you into heaven. But someday he will

  61. return from heaven in the same way you saw him go. Then the Apostle

  62. returned to Jerusalem from the mound of Olive, a distance of half a mile.

  63. When they arrived, they went to the upset room of the house where

  64. they were staying. Here are the names of those who were present. Who

  65. were present, Peter, John, James, Andrew Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew,

  66. Matthel, James, son of the Alvieus, Simon the Zalad, and

  67. Judas's son of James. They all met together and were constantly united in prayer,

  68. along with Mary, the mother of Jesus, several other women, and

  69. the brothers of Jesus. During this time, when about one hundred and twenty

  70. believers were together in one place, Peter stood up and addressed them brothers.

  71. He said, the scriptures had to be fulfilled concerning Judas, who guided those

  72. who arrested Jesus. This was predicted long ago by the Holy Spirit speaking to

  73. King David. Judas was one of us and shared in the ministry with Earth.

  74. Judas had brought a field with the money he received from his treachery.

  75. Falling head first there, his body split open, spilt out all his intestines.

  76. The news of his death spread to all the people of Jerusalem, and

  77. they gave the place the Arabic name a Kildama, which means field of blood.

  78. Peter continued, this was written in the Book of Salms, where it

  79. says let his home become desolate with no one living in it. It also

  80. says let someone else take his position. So now we must choose a replacement

  81. for Judas from among the men who were with us the entire time we were

  82. traveling with Lord Jesus, from the time he was baptized by John until the

  83. day he was taken from us. Whoever is chosen will join us as a

  84. witness of jesus resurrection. So they nominated two men Joseph called Barsabus, also

  85. known as Justus, and Matthias. Then they all perate, Oh Lord,

  86. you know every heart, show us which of these men you have chosen and

  87. apostle to replace Judas in this ministry, for he has deserted us and gone

  88. where he belongs. Then they cast slots, and Matters were selected to become

  89. an apostle with the other eleven. Okay, all right, So now chapter

  90. two, on the day of Pentecost, all the believers were meeting together in

  91. one place. Suddenly there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a

  92. mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then what

  93. looked like flame or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them,

  94. and everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in another languages

  95. as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. At that time, they were

  96. devolved Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. When they heard the loud noise,

  97. everyone came running, and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being

  98. spoken by the believers. They were completely amazed. How can these be,

  99. they exclaimed, These people are all from Galilee, and yet we hear them

  100. speaking in our own native languages. Here we are Partians meets Elamites, people

  101. from Mesopotamia, Judea, Capaldesia, Pontus, the province of Asia, Friga,

  102. Panphilia, Egypt, and the area of Libya around Syreen, with visitors

  103. from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Threatens and Arabs, and

  104. we all hear these people speaking in our languages about the wonderful things God has

  105. done. They stood there amazed and perplexed. What can this mean? They

  106. asked each other, but others in the crowd ridicule them, saying they are

  107. just drunk, that's all. Okay, I'm gonna stop here for a while.

  108. Okay, So just now I say that you know, Jesus has given

  109. us a commandment right to go out and make disciples of all nations. So

  110. to put this simple, our job here is actually to bring the message,

  111. the gospel, the good News to the people around us who may have heard

  112. about it but don't really understand it, or may have not heard about it

  113. and they want to hear about it. Okay, so all of us need

  114. to do that. But a lot of time, okay, myself included,

  115. you know, I would say that, yeah, I know that I need

  116. to preach the good news, okay, but how I do not know how?

  117. Or sometimes I will say that, yeah I want to preach the good

  118. News, but I rescared or you know, what will happen if I share

  119. the gospel? Or maybe like you know, who should I speak to?

  120. You know, And we always have a lot of reasons, a lot of

  121. reasons, a lot of excuses, a lot of you know, different different

  122. things that we will come up with just trying not to do it. You

  123. know, when when I was reading this Book of X, I read it

  124. a lot of times, and I read it again this time around, and

  125. I have four points to draw out from it that will help us to see

  126. things from you know, not really a different perspective, but more of like

  127. helping us to see that hey, you know, stop giving excuse and start

  128. doing. And that's why I t told you know, my message as missions

  129. in action. And what does action means? We need to do it,

  130. okay, whether we like it or not, we have to do it.

  131. So all of us may have fear okay, or will have fear, and

  132. I don't doubt it, okay. But when we look at the scripture,

  133. how does X Chapter one started off? Okay? Apart from their first five

  134. or six chaps, no, the first three chaps versus there it talks a

  135. lot, a lot about the great things, the things that Jesus has done.

  136. It started off by you know, saying that do not Jesus telling the

  137. the disciples, do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he

  138. promised, as I told you before, Okay, So what does he says?

  139. There is a promise okay, not only to the disciple, but to

  140. all of us as well. Okay. And what is this promise? Okay?

  141. There is a gift for all of us. And as we read on

  142. towards it, it says that but you shall receive the power of the Holy

  143. Spirit that has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me in

  144. Jerusalem, in all Judaea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

  145. So the first point there is a promise to all of us, okay,

  146. that we will receive the power of the Holy Spirit that will help us

  147. to be a witness to all Jerusalem, all Judaea and Samaria, and to

  148. the ends of the earth. All right, So here we see that,

  149. you know, Jesus told his disciples to stay put, you know, before

  150. receiving the gift, okay, and to wait for the gift. So they

  151. stay put and they waited. Why because the power of the Holy Spirit is

  152. crucial for them to be an effective witness for Jesus okay, in his teaching

  153. and his resurrection. Okay, So their mission is not just only local.

  154. If you realize that Jesus just say, okay, that you will receive the

  155. power to be witnessed in Jerusalem only right. It says that you will receive

  156. the power and you will start to share it in Jerusalem and then to extend

  157. it to Judea, to Sumarior and ultimately every part of the world. So

  158. imagine if the disciples or the apostle did not go out to the ends of

  159. the earth. Do you think that we will receive the Gospel today. No,

  160. it will stay in Jerusalem and okay, but they do it. And

  161. this promise highlight the supernatural empowerment that we need, okay, to fulfill the

  162. great commission. All right, So as we read on to extrapt the two

  163. was one to four okay. The fulfillment of this promise occurs on the day

  164. of Pentecost. Okay. It says that, No, when the day of

  165. pen the course has fully come okay, and they want accord in one place.

  166. Suddenly the sound from heaven came like a rushing wind and filled the whole

  167. house they were sitting, okay. And then there appeared to them divided tongues

  168. as a fire, and one set upon each other okay. And they were

  169. filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues okay. And

  170. there was an in feeling of the Holy Spirit. All right. And what

  171. were they doing at the point in time? They were gathering together okay,

  172. And they experienced a powerful and supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit. Okay.

  173. The Holy Spirit descend upon them, and they speak okay, a different language

  174. okay. And as the Holy Spirit enables them okay, So we can see

  175. here right, when we read on when when the people, when the Jews

  176. hurt the loud noise, when they came, okay, just not when we

  177. read right. They said that they came and they heard different languages, languages

  178. that they could understand. You know, I read this again. I was

  179. just like, uh, you know, some of them asked in the scripture,

  180. what can this mean when they came right? You know, like for

  181. instance, probably I can only understand Cantonese, and they only can understand Howken

  182. okay, Ellen can only understand menriad okay, and then Aaron can only understand

  183. ha God, okay. But when we came together, what we heard is

  184. the same message in our own understanding. Okay. As I was reading and

  185. I was doing some reading here and there, one of the things that really

  186. caught my attention was this. Okay, all right. The writer wrote this.

  187. He says, is that these people when they come, they heard their

  188. own language. It's kind of like a revelation to us that God loves people

  189. from every tribe and thumbs that, you know, when he wants to touch

  190. life, he's not only one thing to touch, only one language group people.

  191. He wants to touch every single language group, every one and everyone that

  192. is on earth is precious to him. And that's why when the Holy Spirit

  193. comes upon us, he would enable us to speak in a language that you

  194. know, the people that we want to reach out to is able to understand.

  195. And I can tell you that, you know, last year when I

  196. went to the Mandarin missions strip, Okay, I can speak Mandream in conversations

  197. only, okay, And you're not right going to missions are even though you

  198. can speak very fluent in your mother's tongue, but when you come to share

  199. the word of God, it's really different level. And I went there not

  200. knowing you know, Dalla cannot read Chinese, can only speak can only you

  201. know in Basil we call it people Macan black people. With the few feel

  202. words that I have. I went there and I was telling God that,

  203. you know, Lord, please use the little that I have in my hands

  204. to touch lives. And I can tell you my teammates they are hilarious.

  205. They know that I'm a total banana, and they say that, hey,

  206. Baselona, you can speak Cantonese, right, I say, yeah, I

  207. can, please go and pray for that person in Candoness. I'm like what

  208. I said, I have never prayed for anyone in any Chinese dialects or language.

  209. But they said, came, cann you just go, you just go.

  210. As I went to the person, I told the Holy Spirit, Lord,

  211. please annoying my tongue to know what to say and what to pray,

  212. Lord, and behold, I went, I do not know what that came

  213. out from my mouth. And the person just say amen, amen, amen.

  214. And the rest of my team members say this, you liar. You

  215. you say that you cannot pray in Cantoness. You pray so well? I

  216. say you sure not. I said, I have no idea what once I

  217. pray. Then they say that, yeah, but you pray, you know.

  218. So basically they translated the Cantonis into mandriy and they say that you really

  219. pray like you have been praying a lot. I say, yeah, it's

  220. only the Holy Spirit that enables, and that is something that we need when

  221. we do missions. We really need the power of the Holy Spirit. So

  222. does that really credit to myself? No, it's not my credit because if

  223. you ask me to do it now, to pray in Cantonis, I tell

  224. you I probably need to go and find dictionary and then go find all the

  225. hand opinion Okay, candoness not honey pinion candonnists. I don't know what.

  226. Okay, just to find a proper word, you know, to pray.

  227. But when we are being sent out to the missions field, the lot enables

  228. I think probably you can ask you know, Eddie when he go for our

  229. RDP reaching out to all the Malay speaking people. You know, he said

  230. that, okay, I write everything, He'll just see whether my translation is

  231. correct or not. And then he started sharing in Bahasa. That's why I

  232. always say that, you know, he's not from Nigeria, He's actually a

  233. Malaysian. Yeah, and he's able to reach up to people. Right.

  234. Sometimes we may wonder that, you know, I don't speak the language,

  235. but how how are these people being touched, you know, through the things

  236. that we do. Sometimes it's how the Holy Spirit give us the power to

  237. enable us. Okay. So same thing when it comes to us, you

  238. know, when we play our part in the fulfillment of the Great Commission,

  239. we need the Holy Spirit to be with us. We need to desire for

  240. the infeeling of the Holy Spirit. If let's say you are not being filled

  241. by the Holy Spirit, you need to ask that you know, Holy Spirit

  242. feel me daily, speak to me, you know, guide me and lead

  243. me. Okay, and do know that you know, when when we already

  244. confess our sin and receive Jesus as a personal Lord and savior, the promise

  245. that Jesus gets to his disciple is the same thing that we will receive as

  246. well. We will receive the Holy Spirit. All right, So sometimes some

  247. of you make us. You know who is the Holy Spirit? Okay?

  248. As you read through the Bible, especially from the Book of John, you

  249. will know that the Holy Spirit can be simplified as this. He is our

  250. helper, he is our counselor, he is our comforter. He is our

  251. teacher, he's our reminder, he's our guide, He's our source of power,

  252. and many more. All right. You know, for me, a

  253. lot of times right when I needed to prepare, you know, whether for

  254. preaching or prepare writing the X kids curriculum, or maybe when I need to

  255. you know, talk to someone. A lot of times hours I will be

  256. very afraid outside. Oh no, Lord, what should I write? What

  257. should I or how what scripture should I that will be able to edify someone?

  258. You know? Should I just talk with my own you know, own

  259. language only you know or should I just this? And that It's a lot

  260. of my own personal uh you know, thinking in my head planning all my

  261. script when I needed to talk to someone especially, But a lot of time

  262. when I sit down with people and when I talk, scriptures will come to

  263. my mind and sometimes all I wonder that how where does this thing came from?

  264. Okay? And that is what is being written in the Bible. The

  265. Holy Spirit is the one that will, you know, remind us when we

  266. read the scripture that hey, now this is the time I feel that this

  267. scripture will be able to bless someone. And you will realize that when you

  268. partner with the Holy Spirit and speak whatever word that you speak right, the

  269. person will say that, Selena, how did you know? You know?

  270. Or when you get meet with someone and say like, wow, this scripture

  271. really ministered to me. And it's not about how did I know? But

  272. it's the spirit God knows, and the Holy Spirit will just no awaken the

  273. word for us to share. But don't think that, yeah, like a

  274. holy Spirit, I don't need to read my Bible cannot you know? The

  275. reawakening of the scripture only comes when you really spend time reading and meditating on

  276. the world of God, and that is how the Lord will lead us and

  277. guide us. Okay. So the Holy Spirit is our bestest friend that we

  278. need to cling onto because the Holy Spirit will be the one that help us

  279. to be an effective weakness, all right. And the Holy Spirit will also,

  280. okay, give us the courage and the boldness to speak to others as

  281. well. All right. So what is our part to play? We know

  282. that this is what the Holy Spirit can do for us. So our part

  283. is that we need to constantly, you know, talk to the Holy Spirit

  284. as we pray. We need to constantly talk to the Holy Spirit, ask

  285. him to feel us daily, ask him to you know, stir up our

  286. heart daily, and then help us, the Holy Spirit to help us to

  287. bear the fruit of the Spirit. If we go by our own flesh,

  288. right, you know, we will always go the total opposite of the fruit

  289. of the Spirit. Right. I hope all of you know what are the

  290. nine elements on the fluid the spirit? Are love, joy, peace,

  291. patient kindness, goodness, gentleness, fitfulness, and self control. Okay,

  292. all right, So this is the elements in the fruit of the Spirit,

  293. and that is something that we need to ask the Holy spirit to help us

  294. to bury it, because these are the things that we live our life with

  295. that will draw people towards us. Do you think that every day you go

  296. to work being angrier, people will come to you? Of course not if

  297. I say you every time you you know, you don't exercise kindness everything.

  298. Also, you like you know, you are very crude and rude or whatsoever.

  299. Do you think that will attract people towards you. No, That's why

  300. we need to always bear the fruit of the spirit, because that is the

  301. very thing that will attract people to us and allow us to start sharing the

  302. gospel. And also you know, for especially those or you when forget away.

  303. You all know what the five ministry? Right? What are your gifting?

  304. And or start to use it? Don't hear you listen from other roads?

  305. Ready you know your gifting already and then you say that, Okay,

  306. now I know my gifting that you keep in the box, shove it then

  307. next year get away, then take out read the game. No, okay.

  308. If you know that you have the gift of teaching, please okay,

  309. volunteer yourself for kids and staateaching, or volunteer yourself in homes and start taching

  310. Okay. If your gift of evangelism, hello, please launch yourself out and

  311. start evangelizing to people. Okay. And different different gifting that you have.

  312. Okay. Maybe some of you have the gift of you know, counseling people.

  313. Okay, please use it. You know you have the gift of what

  314. intercessory intersted for the church, for the people that's around you. Continue,

  315. continue to use your gift okay, all right, for the extension of His

  316. kingdom. Remember, use the gift that the Holy Spirit, that the Holy

  317. Spirit has given to you for God's kingdom, not your kingdom. Amen.

  318. Okay, very good. See all of you who say amen, I hold

  319. your word for it. Okay. So the first part promise okay. We

  320. know that we have the promise of the Holy Spirit. We need to desire

  321. to have the Holy Spirit in earth. So my question to all of us

  322. here is that are you ready to be filled by the Holy Spirit this morning?

  323. All right, and partner together with him to bring the Gospel Okay,

  324. to Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

  325. Okay, I'm not asking you to really go to Jerusalem, Judaea, and

  326. Samaria, which I don't know where is it? On the map. But

  327. you're Jerusalem, which is your surrounding here now okay, your Judaea, your

  328. workplace, your neighborhood, right okay, or wherever that you get to go,

  329. okay, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Always pray

  330. and ask God that Lord, if today I enter into a grap and I

  331. get to talk to the grab driver, what can I say to this person

  332. to encourage this person? You know, I was you know, those who

  333. came for the example get away. I was sharing my testimony about my journey

  334. of searching for my my my next career point right. So one of the

  335. prayers I was praying to God is that, know, God, how can

  336. I use you know, uh, this workplace as my missions feel? Okay?

  337. And I've already won mine in this company. And I was so busy

  338. to the point that I don't even have time to breathe that I was like,

  339. God, are you sure you bring me to the correct place or not?

  340. All right, I don't even have time to even do anything, say

  341. anything or whatever to really you know, bring the the to be the sort

  342. and light in my workplace. So what happened was just recently I had a

  343. meeting with my CEO and the founder and we were talking about something else and

  344. and it evolved finance. Okay, it was finance to to do some you

  345. know, for for the work that we needed to do. So of course

  346. we were talking, talking, talking, talking, and my boss said that

  347. yeah, hey, yeah, this project, we cannot tell them first because

  348. I need to find you know, investor and all those whatnot, and you

  349. can't say that. He was like, yeah, okay, I need to

  350. find investor. Then me, being me, my mouth always has no red

  351. light, I just don't do him. Don't worry, boss, May God

  352. bless you with the investments or that we can't start this project. And he

  353. looked at me and he said that, yeah, please pray, and okay,

  354. I can tell you my whole company, all of them they are all

  355. the Chinese, that all of them are other boodhis or toys. And then

  356. I have three Malay colleagues. Okay, so there's no Christians in the company.

  357. So I just burst out just saying that. My boss say yeah,

  358. yeah, yeah, please pray. Now I just look at him, Boss,

  359. do you know that I've been praying for the company and you every day

  360. that he just okay, thank you. So that was me. I was

  361. like that I work out for the e reading room. Will I lose my

  362. job after this? Yeah? But but I to me, it's like,

  363. yeah, I may be very abrupt in saying, but I meant what I

  364. say, you know. And I just wanted him to know that while yes,

  365. being the founder or the CEO, you have your worry that I may

  366. not understand. But I may not understand, but my biggest boss in Heaven

  367. understood. And and if I pray, I believe that God will move right.

  368. So that's why you know why I say that I've been so busy because

  369. there's a lot of things that I needed to do for a company. But

  370. every single day I pray, I say that Lord, you take over,

  371. You take over, you turn the situation around. So that that is how

  372. I can do to partner with the Holy Spirit. So sometimes the Holy Spirit

  373. just kick you to say something, say you know without worrying that you know,

  374. you may may you know, if I say, the Holy Spirit just

  375. asks you to say you know, you will feel the peace knowing that He

  376. will take over. So, yeah, I did not lose my job.

  377. I'm still in the job. Okay, all right, Cool, So that

  378. next p prayer Okay. So we all read in x chapter one, you

  379. know, before they received the promise, what the Disciple and the rest of

  380. the people did right in verse one in chapter one, verse fourteen, it

  381. says that all the disciples gathered together and they were constantly united in prayer.

  382. Okay. So number one, we know we have promised. Number two,

  383. what's important prayer? Remember I say, just now, I go to work

  384. every day praying like there is no tomorrow. Prayer and prayer is really really

  385. important. So after Jesus ascension, so the disciples returned to Jerusalem and they

  386. devoted themselves in constant prayer. And this period of them coming together in prayer,

  387. it tells us that how much dependents the disciples are on God and their

  388. anticipation for the promised Holy Spirit. So that's why they pray. Okay.

  389. And do know that, you know, pray yourself as a foundation, okay,

  390. as our preparation for something that the Lord wants to do, and it

  391. helps us to align with God's will. When we pray, we want to

  392. hear from God. And when we hear from God, we know that we

  393. can align to his will. Okay. And it also helps us to prepare

  394. ourselves spiritually for what's to come, okay, and it also helps us to

  395. continue to seek God's guidance in the missions that God is launching us out for.

  396. Okay. So what I wanted to encourage all of us here, If

  397. let's say you are the kind that you know, wake up first thing us,

  398. first thing, first brush dave, make your coffee, and then go

  399. straight toward Then suddenly, only remember, oh I haven't prayed. Then when

  400. you start to praying, time to make changes. Wake up first thing first,

  401. right, pray not uphold the day to the Lord and pray and see

  402. how God can you know, align your day towards His perfect will, and

  403. you will see transformation happen. You will see changes happen. You know I

  404. used to be you know, so so how they are chill and easy with

  405. my life for the past many years because you know, life has been easy

  406. because things has been uh, you know, like already in emotion that okay,

  407. I kind of like I can expect, like what what what's gonna happen

  408. today? So I'm the kind of ye wake up, you know, shower,

  409. make my coffee, go to work, sit down. Okay, Now

  410. I can pray, you know, like but now with this new job,

  411. it's very challenging that the first thing for us I opened my eye. I

  412. haven't even get out of a bit. Dearld Jesus, and you're with the

  413. for today, you know, then they're like, okay, sorry, sorry,

  414. God, Sorry God, good morning Jesus. I acknowledge for who you

  415. are, and I learned, you know, I and I learned to you

  416. know, start the day by praising him first. Okay, for those of

  417. you who are puss the kind of message. Okay, those that didn't come

  418. forget away, please listen to pass message that he praised during the getaway.

  419. The Instead of just praying, praying, praying, praying, we need to

  420. praise as well. You remember we always say, right, praise, break

  421. the prison door. So start the day by praising the Lord, praising for

  422. who he is, praising that he is our almighty God. No, just

  423. wake up that God. Today it's gonna be a bad day, please,

  424. No. Okay, As we praise him, as we acknowledge his lordship,

  425. right, you will realize that, Hi, my my problem is just like

  426. a peanut to God. It all right, and he will turn things around

  427. for you. Right, And I really see, you know, I really

  428. see that how God transformed situation in my workplace. It is still very very

  429. challenging, very challenging, but I can see that, Hey, as I

  430. was stuck in a situation and I do not know what to do, I

  431. will be like, Holy Spirit, please give me an answer so that I

  432. can answer my colleague. And the answer just came. And that is how

  433. you know when we partner with Him. And same goes to where we need

  434. to witness. When you talk to someone and you will say that, Lord,

  435. what should I say? And God will give you the word. And

  436. God will also show you by looking at the person's countenance that you will be

  437. able to ask that, hey, are you okay? Is there something bothering

  438. you? And you will realize that it opens the door, you know,

  439. for you to speak. And one of the things that I, you know,

  440. I learned is that as we continue to to you know, abide in

  441. God, as we continue to partner with Him, and as we continue to

  442. spend more time in prayer, we actually spend less time trying to find way

  443. how to minister to others. Really one, you know, sometimes right when

  444. you miss us to someone, right, will you keep talking and talking and

  445. talking and talking and talking and talking and talking, and the person you do

  446. not know what you're trying to say. But as you pray, as you

  447. continue that Lord give me that word, you will realize that when you just

  448. say that one statement and did I say anything wrong? And the person will

  449. ask how did you know? And you will say, no, I don't,

  450. but God knows. And that is how you will say, do you

  451. need Jesus to be in your life? And you will see salvation take place.

  452. You will see healing take place, you will see breakthrough take place.

  453. No, so that there is something what we need to do. So the

  454. Holy Spirit will lead the way and give us the right word to speak,

  455. and he the Holy Spirit will minister directly to the hearts of those who we

  456. speak to. So it's really not our work, but it's the work of

  457. the Holy Spirit. So as we surrender our total dependence on God, the

  458. Spirit of the Lord will pave the way for us, turning the missions impossible

  459. into mission accomplished. So my question to all of us is how dependent are

  460. we on the Lord? So are we willing to spend time praying for those

  461. people that we want to you know, reach out to. All of us

  462. have friends or family that don't know Jesus yet, are we willing to go

  463. down on our knees and to pray for their salvation? Right? So remember

  464. prayer and action go hand in hand. Okay, don't just pray without going,

  465. and don't just go without praying. And that brings us to the next

  466. part, which is to preach. Okay, So I'm going to continue reading

  467. from X chapter two wards, fourteen onwards. Okay. So here it says,

  468. then Peter step forward with the eleven other apostle and shouted to the crowd.

  469. Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem,

  470. make no mistakes about this. These people are not drunk, as some of

  471. you are, assuming nine o'clock in the morning is much too early for that.

  472. Okay, I'm not sure about nawllah. Okay, back then, it's

  473. totally for that. Okay. Now, what you'll see was predicted long ago

  474. by the prophet Joel. In the last days, God says, I will

  475. pour out my spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy,

  476. your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. In

  477. those days, I will pour out my spirit even on my servants, men

  478. and women alike, and they will prophesy, and I will cause wonders in

  479. the heavens, a birth and signs. On the earth below, blood and

  480. fire, and clouds are smoke. The sun will become dark and the moon

  481. will turn blood re red before the great and glorious day of the Lord arrives.

  482. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

  483. People of Israel, listen. God publicly endorsed Jesus the Nazarene by doing powerful

  484. miracles wonder signs true him, as you well known. But God knew what

  485. will happen, and his pre arranged plan was carried out. When Jesus was

  486. betrayed with the help of lawless gentles, you nailed him to a cross and

  487. killed him. But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him

  488. back to life, or death could not keep him in its grip. King

  489. David said this about him. I see that the Lord is always with me.

  490. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No

  491. wonder. My heart is glad, and my tongue shots his praise praises.

  492. My body rests in hope, for you will not leave my soul among the

  493. dead, or allow your holy one to rot in the grave. You have

  494. shown me the way of life, and you will fill me with the joy

  495. of your presence. Dear brothers, think about this. You can be sure

  496. that the patriot David wasn't referring to himself, for he died and was buried,

  497. and his tomb is still here among us. But he was a prophet,

  498. and he knew God had promised with an oath that one of David's own

  499. descendants was on his strown. David was looking into the future and speaking of

  500. the Messia's resurrection. He was saying that God will not leave him among the

  501. dead or allow his body to rot in the grave. God raised Jesus from

  502. the dead, and we are all witnesses of this. Now he is exalted

  503. to the place of highest honor in heaven at God's right hand, and the

  504. Father's as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon

  505. us, just as you see and hear today. For David himself never ascended

  506. into heaven. Yet he said the Lord said to my Lord, sit in

  507. the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making

  508. them a footstool under your feet. So let everyone in Israel know for certain

  509. that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord

  510. and Messiah. So Peter's words pierce their hearts, and they said to him

  511. and to the other Apostle brothers, what should we do? Peter replied,

  512. each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God and be baptized

  513. in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you

  514. will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you,

  515. to your children, and to those far away, all who have been called

  516. by the Lord our God. Then Peter continued preaching for a long time,

  517. strongly urging all his listeners save yourself from this crooked generation. Those who believed

  518. what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that they about three thousand

  519. in all. All the believers devoted themselves to the apostle teaching and to fellowship,

  520. and to sharing a meals, including the Lord's Supper, and to prayer.

  521. A deep sense of all came over them all, and the Apostle performed

  522. many miraculous signs and wonders and all the believers met together in one place and

  523. shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and share the money

  524. with those in need. They worshiped together at the temple each day, met

  525. in homes for the Lord's supper and shared their meals with great joy and generosity,

  526. all the while praising God and enjoying the good will of all the people.

  527. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

  528. Amen. Right. So in s Chapter two wards fourteen, Okay,

  529. what happened? Peter stood up with the other apostle and he delivered a powerful

  530. sermon to the gathered crowds. You know, as we read the whole portion

  531. that you realized that, Yeah, Selena really appreciated Peter already preached to all

  532. of us, and that is the very message that we need to listen to,

  533. right, and the people that around us need to hear. Okay.

  534. So he preached, Okay, he explained the significance of the events that the

  535. Jews have seen, Okay, that they witnessed. Okay, and then he

  536. bring about the scripture from the Old Testament, and he shed you know what

  537. the prophet Joel has said that the Lord will pour out the spirit upon the

  538. people, and the people will start to prophesy okay, and those who call

  539. on the name of the Lord will be safe. Right. So what can

  540. we see here? Peter stood up and what he says here he stood up

  541. and he shouted to the crowd. It tells how how how excited he is

  542. to bring out, you know, the message, the good news to the

  543. crowd, so that all these people who hear the message that their heart will

  544. be stole up right. And he Ap preached with boldness and clarity. Did

  545. he add on that you know? Yo? Noah, you're seer. No.

  546. He Ap preached with clarity. What by what quoted? You know?

  547. From the from from the Old Testament? He shared it with the people,

  548. right. And those people who hurt the word, their heart was being pierced

  549. by the word, you know. So that's why when we preach, we

  550. need to preach the word as it is and not sugarcoated, and not try

  551. to be relevant to the world, and not try to like, oh,

  552. I think this person's lifestyle is like that. Let's see how I can modify

  553. the word. No, preach the word as this, because the word itself

  554. will convict hearts right. As much as the word convict our heart, it

  555. will convict the heart of the person who listened to the word right. And

  556. he went on continued to share and preach. And this is something that he

  557. also brought up. He called the people into repentance, and he baptized the

  558. people in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Right.

  559. And he also assured them that you know, when you receive Jesus as your

  560. personal Lord and savior, you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit as

  561. well. Okay. So you know what the disciples are doing is that they

  562. are fulfilling the command, the commandment, the command that Jesus has given to

  563. them to go out to share, okay, to preach, to tell people

  564. that you know, whatever your sin, okay, on the cross, the

  565. work on the cross, the resurrection, all the things that you have been

  566. witnessing is the work of the Lord. And they continue to tell people that,

  567. hey, repent of your sin. Repent of your sin, be baptized.

  568. Okay. And what happened when he did that, how many came to

  569. know the Lord right? Three thousand. So have you been doing this?

  570. If we have been doing what you know the apostle is doing this room cannot

  571. really, I probably need to rent stadium ready, okay, or maybe I

  572. will saying okay, who got the gift of apostle? The apostle run a

  573. ready and start another church? Okay, going and start another church? To

  574. start church man, Okay, So that is something that we need to do.

  575. Stop. We need to stop giving excuses. We need to start partnering

  576. with the Holy Spirit, and we need to start praying, and we need

  577. to start to go out and preach the gospel. Okay. So the same

  578. message that the deciper preach is the very message that we need to preach as

  579. well. Bringing hope to people that we reach out to. We need to

  580. preach with conviction, and we need to remember that why this message is important

  581. because all of us are slaved to sin and we have been set free.

  582. We want God to set free of others as well. Okay. So how

  583. can we be effective in preaching this word is to always remember that all of

  584. us are slave to sin, and the wages of sin is death, and

  585. no amount of good works we do will bring a salvation. Remember that,

  586. Okay, we receive salvation. To do good works is not to do good

  587. works to bring ourselves to heaven. Okay. And because of this, all

  588. right, because of our sins, that Jesus have to die on the cross,

  589. you know, so that we can inherit eternal life. Right, So

  590. always remember that sometimes we can be too long a Christians that we've actually forgotten

  591. about this fundamental truth in our life. Really one, because sometimes I also

  592. forget. Okay, I'm speaking from personal experiences. Okay, So it's the

  593. same thing. Please don't say that, oh I already have Jesus, I'm

  594. a Christian's Okay, I'm free from saying. Okay. Now, now I

  595. have been set free, I go on living my life, doing my things,

  596. achieving my goals, achieving my KPI. And I've forgotten why was I

  597. saved in the first place? Okay. So we have to always remind ourselves

  598. that why are we safe in the first place? Okay, not only to

  599. inherit eternal life, but also to continue to do the work that the Lord

  600. has sent us forth to do. Okay. So we need to equip ourselves

  601. with the Word of God. We need to allow the Word to even come

  602. alife through us, and we need to help others to come into repent we

  603. need to help others to be baptized in water, in spirit, and we

  604. need to together partner together and to be launched out to share the good news.

  605. Okay, all right. So things we have to remember when we preach.

  606. We need to preach with bonus, with clarity, the focus is on

  607. Jesus and nothing else. Okay. We need to preach with conviction, present

  608. the Word of God as it is, leading people towards repentance and salvation,

  609. no sugar coating, okay. And we can only do this if we spend

  610. our time reading the Word of God daily, okay, all right, and

  611. allow the Holy Spirit to lead this. Okay. So my question to all

  612. of us here this morning is where can I start sharing the world of God.

  613. It's a question that you have to ask yourself. With the Word of

  614. God that you have heard every Sunday, you have read every single day,

  615. where can you start sharing the word of God? Will you have the boness

  616. to speak the truth which is the Word of God. If you don't have

  617. the bonus, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the bonus.

  618. If you're scared that you do not know how to preach, Like Peter right,

  619. every time I read all the sermon that preached, or Paul said,

  620. you know in all the scripture, our Lord, if we need, I

  621. can speak like them, but I can't, okay, but the Holy Spirit

  622. enables amen. Okay. So that is what we need to do. We

  623. need to go out and preach. So we read right, they went out,

  624. Peter preached, and three thousand we were being safe. So what did

  625. they do with the three thousand? Okay? All the believers devoted themselves in

  626. the apostle teaching they were gathering together. That brings me to the last point

  627. okay, where our clothes shortly? Okay? So which talks about partnership okay,

  628. partnership or fellowship or fellow believers okay. So they continued that firstly in

  629. the apostle doctrine okay, fellowship, in breaking of breaks, and in prayer.

  630. Sometimes you'll ask why do I need to come to church every Sunday?

  631. Okay, don't be solola. You come, Okay, You learn the Word

  632. of God, you fellowship with one another, You help to encourage one another,

  633. You pray for one another, You share you know, testimony that will

  634. help to to you know, to encourage one another. Okay. Just like

  635. in the ex chapter to here the early believers, they devoted themselves together to

  636. learn the word the break brakes, which is to do communions. They pray.

  637. They pray together, right, they pray together. They also meet together

  638. in temple course, which is church. They meet in their homes in a

  639. smaller group. They share meals with gladness and sisier hearts. Okay, and

  640. their fellowship marked by their joint and generosity. And it also highlights the importance

  641. of community and mutual support among believers. Okay, so when you do that,

  642. you will come together and everyone will sense the unity and the purpose.

  643. Then you will realize that hey, actually I'm not I'm not a lonering after

  644. all. Or even if I want to go out and do missions, right,

  645. actually I don't need to go alone one I can bring someone with me.

  646. So, like I want to go missions, right, I very scared

  647. to go alone? Right that I will ask, and you want to sign

  648. up together? Your homes and my homes. You go get together, he

  649. said, Okay, we will go together. You know sometimes, like you

  650. know, when when I wanted to ministers with someone, A very scared,

  651. I was like, you know, Elene, can you come with me?

  652. Up? I come with you, or maybe sometimes I need to, you

  653. know, talk to someone who is older than I do. There I will

  654. always say this person, you know, it's more than I eat, right,

  655. it is how to talk. There are like faster, Can you come

  656. with me? You know? And I can only do so if I'm connected

  657. to a church or homes that I can always fall back with. You know.

  658. We call it a partnership that we go together, you know, to

  659. do the missions that God has called us to do. Rather that I alone

  660. cabra, I don't know what to do, Okay, I have my partner

  661. with me to go together with me, all right, and that is really

  662. important because you know that you have one one another to support each other.

  663. Or even if the person don't know what to say, the person at least

  664. can sit beside you start you know, praying tongues or maybe start praying like

  665. the Lord Jesus pace gives Selena the no the person can do so as well,

  666. right, okay, So that there is number one. And of course

  667. we also can see that when we come together, when we show love and

  668. unity to one another, it actually attracts others as well, and people will

  669. see, you know. One of the things that my my friends who are

  670. non Christians. When when she sees some of the postings that I shed from

  671. ex ambund right, she actually asked me, Selena, why every Sunday you

  672. go to this place. Everybody looks so happy? One like, what this

  673. place? That's my church? Like this place? I said, why everybody

  674. looks so happy but no one is set in church? I say, Okay,

  675. on social media, of course you see happy facer, I say.

  676. Also got said by we also support each other when we are said, you

  677. know when we also support each other when we are happy. Birthday, we

  678. celebrate together. Wedding, we celebrate together. We help people to run wedding.

  679. We run the show for for wedding. You know, someone passed away,

  680. We run the show for the person who not for the person, for

  681. the family. Okay to hell support the family. That that is church and

  682. you know what this person And concluded the conversation and she said that Selena,

  683. it's so nice to have a community that will walk your true different seasons of

  684. your life. And I told her, I said you can too. Do

  685. you want to come to church? And she said no, Well I tried,

  686. I try. And the reason why she doesn't say, your church so

  687. onlyla, I want to sleep. I'm like you forever sleeping like okay,

  688. so yeah, so so the genuine love the unity. Okay, even though

  689. it is true social media, it actually attracts people and with that you can

  690. actually share with people. You know what, you know what you are doing

  691. on a Sunday, and it gives you opportunity to share about Christ and of

  692. course one of the things that you know. Exmom started by Joe l Lloyd.

  693. Love My Sunday's conversation starter. As you continue to post on your social

  694. media, right, people will ask an a why you love your Sunday so

  695. much? Right? What's so great about your Sunday that you love so much?

  696. And recently and then started one after Church Dining Club ac DC, I

  697. also got people ask me it was this a CDC. I said, Oh

  698. cause my partners all loved to it, so they started that type life.

  699. Yeah, so it is a conversation starter. So you have to ask yourself.

  700. Okay, So you want to reach out to people, you have to

  701. have a community and all this community will attract people. And why the why

  702. world have so much activity? It's not that our here, I got nothing

  703. better to do, No board games. Last cycling, lagging la, movie

  704. la, now book club? Like what else they do? I cannot remember.

  705. I cannot catch up. Really okay, they really have a lot of

  706. activities. Why because there are people who doesn't have the community, and we

  707. want to bring these people to the community and open doors for us to share

  708. the gospel. Okay. So all of you has been doing very, very

  709. well in this community that you are in. So if let's say you have

  710. people that you want to reach out to and you do not know how,

  711. bring them to church, bring them to homes. And for those of you

  712. who always hear me, chair right every Sunday, I will say, parents

  713. with friends with young kids, you know, if you do not know,

  714. you know, they do not know what to do with their kids on Sunday,

  715. ask them to come ex kids, we have very big room for the

  716. children to run around. And I can tell you I've spoken to a lot

  717. of young family with young kids. They always say this, no, I

  718. don't want to come out hang out with your Why my kids very noisy?

  719. And then they never want to come out. And then they will say that,

  720. oh I got no community. You know, nobody understands what I'm going

  721. true, Okay, and my kids are such a nuisance. I don't think

  722. any one of you that without kids on a will you know we'll want to

  723. have kids are so noisy when we fellowship. The truth is those of us

  724. who do not have kids, we actually don't mind. You know, you

  725. bring your kids make no sense as not as they don't injure themselves. Right.

  726. But in a church setting, some people will even tell me this,

  727. Nola, I scared my kids would disturb the service. But those of you

  728. who've seen our kids dancing in front here this morning, is it a disturbance.

  729. It is their form of worship unto the Lord. But of course you

  730. saw me stop no Onah just now like he was some assorulting. Why because

  731. I scared he thought he would hit the stage? Okay, there are reasons

  732. sometimes why I have to stop certain action that they do. Okay, it's

  733. for their safety, but it's not because they are a disturbance. Right.

  734. We love children, We love people from all walks of life. We welcome

  735. everyone, and that is what Jesus wants. So are we ready to play

  736. our part as the community as we continue, you know, to partner with

  737. the Holy Spirit and launch ourselves out there to save souls. Okay, some

  738. of us maybe not as quick as those who really have the give of evangelism.

  739. No saving soul, saving souls and then planning people in differentiatus you know,

  740. all the new souls. But when these people come in, we as

  741. a community, are we ready to help these people feel welcome and stay rooted.

  742. That is a part we have to play as well, all right.

  743. So yeah, so let's continue to do what we can, and let's continue

  744. to encourage one another and even being equipped in the world of God, plan

  745. yourself in the homes. Use your talent because I know some of you are

  746. very good with the Word of God. And use your talent to help you

  747. know, to edify each other through the world of God. True your sharing,

  748. through your experience. We come together in discussion and we help each other

  749. to grow in our faith in our world with the Lord. Okay, and

  750. as we grow, remember, don't keep everything to ourselves. Be ready to

  751. be launched out. Don't say that I'm quite complacent in this place. I

  752. don't think the Lord will see me on. I used to say that the

  753. Lord chase after me, even though I try to run away like a Jonah.

  754. The Lord has a very big net and caught me. And that's why

  755. here here I am. Okay, don't try to be complacent with where you

  756. are. Be ready and say Lord, where how can how can I be

  757. of use to you? You know? Send me? I will go.

  758. If you can use anything, Lord, use me. Break my heart for

  759. what breaks yours. These are the very thing that the Lord is doing.

  760. Let's prepare ourselves for it. Amen. What I wanted to remind all of

  761. us here through this, you know, it's a very simple message that I

  762. share. I am sharing today, But what I wanted to remind all of

  763. us is that if God could bring such a revival to the early Church,

  764. he can do the same for us today as well. But the question to

  765. all of us here this morning is that are we ready? Are we ready

  766. to be used by Him? Are we ready, you know, to step

  767. out from our comfort zone to bring in the harvest? Are we ready to

  768. do whatever it takes for the even one soul to be safe? And the

  769. most important question to all of us here this morning, do we really have

  770. the deep desire to see salvation happening every Sunday? Or are we just going

  771. to come to church every Sunday that you know fit me? Fit me,

  772. fit me and me, or do we really have the desire to say that,

  773. Lord, look at all these emphasis. I want it to be filled

  774. every Sunday with souls that are so hungry for you. Lord. I want

  775. to see every Sunday that souls being safe. Lord. I want to see

  776. every Sunday life that has been far away from you will come back to you

  777. once again. Lord. I want to see people being set free. Lord.

  778. I want to see chains be broken. I want to see the sick

  779. big heal. Do you have this desire? And I can tell you that

  780. this desire is not only for me or the leadership team only. It should

  781. be for each and everyone of us. Here the scripture needn't say that,

  782. dear church leaders and you know, coordinators and pastors, you go Therefore.

  783. The word started by saying that go therefore means the word goal is for each

  784. and every one of you, including our kids. You know, if kids

  785. can go out and even talk to you know, the security guards or whoever

  786. they can see and say that Jesus love you as simple as that, why

  787. can't we you know? Of course we always say that kids are feelless.

  788. We can also be fearless. Because the Holy Spirit enables us. Amen.

  789. So let's start to have this desire and let's partner with God, and let's

  790. go out until everyone comes to know the saving knowledge of Christ. Amen.

  791. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more information on our church,

  794. you. God bless
