You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
First to prayer, then to missions. You know that nothing
-
can be achieved without prayer. I mean, do we pray
-
for everything that we do? I mean, do we pray
-
for everything that we do? Honestly we should because you know,
-
God's in the business of making you succeed. God's in
-
the business of giving you answers this week. This week,
-
I had a task to do for the ministry, which
-
was to put up a magnetic security door lock system
-
in the peak in Subunjaya. Now I am not an
-
expert in this, neither have well you know, neither am
-
I a practiced installer of these kind of things. But
-
you want to know something. When that kind of situation
-
comes before me, I go to that great installer and
-
his name is Jesus, and I say, God, I don't
-
know how to do this, but you do. Can you
-
give me ideas? And then what I do is I
-
keep quiet and I listen, and you know, I can
-
almost hear when I say almost here, because it's not
-
really a voice, it's just something in your heart. You
-
feel that it's talking to you. It tells you to
-
do this, and then do this, and then do this,
-
and step by step. You know, it doesn't come as
-
one plan. But as you do one thing, the next
-
thing is revealed, and as you do the next thing,
-
the next thing revealed, and before you know it, it's done.
-
And then you stand back and you look at this
-
thing and you say, my word, how did I do this?
-
It looks so good, better than the installers would do
-
it because you can't see the wires. It's all hidden.
-
You know, you didn't damage the tiles. You just gonna
-
break everything, make holes in the world. God is good
-
and I did it, and I'm very happy. You see.
-
God speaks to me this way because I bother to
-
ask him. Do we take the trouble to ask the Lord?
-
Do we take? You know? The light is not working?
-
Is our first response? Going call the repairment? Have you bothered?
-
To ask God? God? What's wrong? Can you help me?
-
And then an idea will come. Go to the main
-
switch box and you open it and you see, but Lord,
-
everything is on. Then he will tell you turn them
-
off and on one by one, and you will realize
-
one of them is faulty. It appears to be on,
-
but it's not. Then you go and call the electrician
-
and then you know he only changed that one part.
-
Charge you for the one part, and it's okay. Otherwise
-
he will tell you you have a big short sucking
-
in the house. It's going to cost you two thousand
-
dollars to fix it, and you will say, okay, do it.
-
You pay the two thousand dollars. Then what he does
-
is he goes and buys the one who is fix it.
-
It's working. You are happy, He's happy. God will answer
-
your prayer. I'm speaking to you about the things I know,
-
because you see, I ask Him for everything, so he
-
gives me answers Matthew twenty eight, nineteen to twenty. Now
-
we're get to the message. What has all that got
-
to do with missions? You'll see? Go therefore and make
-
disciples of all the nations? Did the Bible say some
-
of the nations? All the nations? I heard yesterday two
-
new terms YOUPG unreached people groups, and there's another one
-
you PG, which I can't remember is of now. But
-
I learned this term, and it means strictly a kind
-
of people that exist, but no connection has even been
-
made with them. So there are those people whom connection
-
has been made with them. Okay, they're reached people, but
-
they haven't been shared the gospel. And they are those
-
people who have not been rich and have not been
-
shared with the gospel. So you know the two kinds
-
of people. But the Bible says, go therefore and make
-
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name
-
of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit,
-
teaching them to observe some of the things that I've
-
told you. You see, we live sometimes with our own
-
understanding of scripture, and you know, our own understanding of
-
scripture limits us because we think that we're not good enough.
-
So we will share some of what we learn. But
-
Scripture here says sharing and teaching them to observe all
-
things that I've commanded. You do you know that you
-
are only responsible. I am only responsible up to that
-
point of the stuff which God has taught me. I'm
-
not responsible for the things I do not. No, I'm
-
not responsible for the scripture. I haven't learned the meaningful yet.
-
But I am responsible to teach to everyone everything that
-
the Lord has shared with me. That is my responsibility,
-
that is our responsibility. Observe all things that I've commanded you,
-
and lo I am with you always, even to the
-
end of the age. Amen. Does doing or does doing
-
always make us successful? When you do something, does it
-
make you successful? Does doing always make you successful? The
-
Bible says, going into the world, you go into the world,
-
does it always make you successful? Have you asked? You
-
said that question? If anybody ask yourself this question? Does
-
doing ever make you successful? Sometimes? It does, but not always?
-
But you see, are we satisfied with just succeeding some
-
of the time? Or do we want to succeed all
-
of the time? You see, God loves to use this
-
word all teaching them all that abserlves You know, you
-
want to get more gift all you want to get
-
more revelation, whatever relevant revelation you get, share it men,
-
give it away. If you give that revelation away, you
-
get more room for more revelation to come. But why
-
would God want to give you anything if you're not
-
going to do anything with what He is given you?
-
You know, I love to walk. I just love to walk.
-
When when I was young, younger, I stayed about you know,
-
I stayed in this place called Taman Chilu. That's in
-
Klang by the way, and it's about five six kilometers
-
from the town. And that time, noka okay, I was,
-
you know, in my early my late teens. So I
-
have to take the bus. But the thing about me
-
was I was very impatient to wait for the bus.
-
So when the bus comes from kl from my work
-
and drops me at the Clang bus station, say, I'm
-
not waiting for the bus to take me to my housemen,
-
I'm walking home. Walk home. Whether the other bus reached
-
before me doesn't matter, but I need to do something.
-
I cannot sit still, so I walk home and I
-
always used to thank God as I'm walking back. I
-
will always think and say, no, God, I thank you
-
that I can walk. I praise the Lord that I
-
have this ability to move. Do you know that when
-
we worship God, do you see me standing like a
-
block of wood? Do you see me? Or do you
-
see me trying to move from side to side? You know,
-
dance a little bit, praise the Lord because I can't jump.
-
If I jump, then you would the ground would crack,
-
you know that kind of thing. So I try and move.
-
You know why, because if God is going to give
-
mobility to someone. He will give mobility to the one
-
who's willing to move and dance before him. Why would
-
he give mobility to somebody who's not going to use it. Hey, guys,
-
you praise and you worship the Lord. Your children are
-
watching you, so you know my wife and me, we're
-
really into the Lord. We're praising the d You haven't
-
seen me dance before the Lord. Okay, when I dance
-
before the Lord, I spin and I'm moving, and by
-
the time the worship is over, I'm drenched with sweat.
-
I haven't done it here, but trust me, I've done
-
it in church many times. You know why when my
-
children see me dance before the Lord and praise and worship,
-
what am I teaching them to do? I'm teaching them
-
to dance before the Lord. I'm teaching them not to
-
be Caius. In those of you that may not understand,
-
not to be blocks of wood or right, not to
-
be stone statues, I am teaching them to move left
-
or right. I assure you, if you are the sort
-
of person that doesn't really dance before the Lord, and
-
when worship is going you move like this, your children
-
will move like this and they are children will not
-
move because what if you thought them you've taught them
-
to guard your face? You know I looked ridiculous, I
-
looked silly. I looked horrible. When I'm dancing before the Lord.
-
I mean, you know, you come with a shed and tire.
-
Next thing you're drenched in sweat, your sweat teeths. You
-
know you stink up the place. You've really given you
-
all before the Lord. But you know, was I saving
-
my face? Was David saving his face when he danced
-
before the Lord? No, because if we are willing to
-
lose our face before the Lord to glorify his name,
-
God will always keep us in his face. So does
-
doing always makes successful well the task? There are some
-
tasks involved in Mattew twenty eight. It says what go?
-
It says go. You know the only time you're not
-
going is when you don't get out of your house.
-
The moment you step out of your house, you qualify
-
you go. How many of you are not from Malaysia?
-
Can I see a show hands? That's about ten percent?
-
How many of you are not from the state of
-
Slango or will liar? We Lia is not a state,
-
But never mind, we'll just throw it in Okay. So
-
about fifty percent of you and not from here, you qualify.
-
You know, you qualify for Mattew twenty eight because the
-
Bible says, go. If you were there past the palins
-
session yesterday, he said, many Malaysians made a lot of
-
fuss about the Palestinians being brought here to Malitia. Right,
-
you know what he said? Why do you do that?
-
Because God has given you to touch a people group
-
that under no other circumstance would you have access to.
-
But God has done it. Oh, what a way to
-
look at things. What a perspective. So you say you've
-
got nothing. Hey, you're here in Malaysia. You qualify. You go,
-
That's right, you go. Those of you from another state,
-
you're here, you qualify. Go? Then what about all those
-
poor people that are living here? In slangor and care?
-
Have I forgotten you? No? Are you at home now? No,
-
you're here in church, far away from your home, far
-
away from your house. Guess what you qualify? Go? So
-
Scripture says to go and do what make disciples? You
-
know what is making disciples? Making disciples is teaching someone
-
else what you yourself have learned. Were you asked to go?
-
To Bible school. First, were you asked to come out
-
with a theological degree first? You see many of us
-
give this kind of excuse, Oh, we're not qualified. No,
-
you are more than qualified. You know why, because you
-
accepted the Lord. I mean I shared with you, so
-
you know I haven't shared with you the other testimonies
-
where I had a colleague in the office, and every
-
day I would just tell her what I knew about
-
the Lord. And one day asked her, do you want
-
to know Jesus? She said, yes. You know what I did?
-
I said, go home and think about it. I did
-
not beat into the Salvation press straight away. You know why,
-
because that revelation in her heart I knew was true.
-
I don't need to be like some salesman to catch
-
the seal because I knew that God was. What God
-
was doing in her heart was real. And she came
-
back the next day and I said, do you still
-
want to accept the Lord? Yes? Then I prayed for her.
-
There was another girl and she I don't know why
-
I share it, ladies the Lord, but you were my colleagues.
-
Like what am I supposed to do? Ignore them? No,
-
she was abused when she was young, so she did
-
not trust men, and the one that abused her, if
-
I'm not mistaken, was an uncle. And I shared with her,
-
and for her to trust the guy was kind of strange,
-
don't you think, because she didn't trust men. But I
-
just shared with her what I knew. What did I know?
-
Jesus loves you. It wasn't your fault. You were just
-
a kid. And you know what, in spite of that,
-
he is ready to accept you because he has always
-
loved you and he's been waiting for you to know him.
-
That's all all that I knew at that time. Do
-
you want to receive Jesus? She said yes. Today, she's married,
-
her son has graduated from university. Wow, she's born again Christian.
-
She loves the Lord. She's delivered what I knew I shared.
-
Do you know that is discipleship? Because when will the
-
time come that you will stop learning? Is there a
-
time when you can say I know everything? Is there
-
a time when you say I've arrived at this point
-
in time? Now I'm ready to share? Because now I
-
know if you say that, then you've limited and put
-
God in us small box because you're saying God, you're
-
not big enough. So I can know you completely. Hey,
-
you and I must realize that God is so big,
-
is so wide, He's so great, He's so glorious. We
-
will never be able to put the knowledge of God
-
in a box that says we know it all make disciples.
-
Then the Bible says, to baptize that you know, baptized.
-
Can I be honest with you? I never used to
-
think so much about baptism because I was baptized as
-
a baby. But how many you know that that don't
-
come being baptized as a baby. Don't come. You know
-
why because that was not your decision. You had no
-
say in the matter. But I've come to realize that
-
baptism is important because baptism is important for you to
-
realize that you have declared to the whole world. I
-
have decided to follow Jesus. And you have heard many,
-
many stories about how people say, I don't mind my
-
children accepting the Lord, but baptize. No, because baptize is
-
like the end of their old life, which it is
-
even they understand it. And lastly, teaching them is not
-
lastly for the message O case, so still reaccess someone
-
to go, but teaching them, So what do you teach
-
I'm not a teacher. You're not a teacher. We're not
-
a teacher. That what we say. As long as your life,
-
whether you realize it or not, you are teaching somebody
-
because everybody is looking at us, and everybody is watching us,
-
and we are teaching them. We can either teach them
-
right or we will teach them wrong. Your kids, who
-
they're learning from, long before they go to school, they've learned.
-
So when you when a kid misbehaves, do you blame
-
the kid? Parents have to take responsibility. So just doing
-
always make you successful? Is there something more to just doing? So?
-
Scripture has said go into the world and preach the gospel.
-
So all of us go into the world and preach
-
the gospel, teaching them what we know. But if we
-
do that just because God has said it that way,
-
will we see a complete measure of success. I had
-
a task fix this magnetic lock. If I just did
-
it without going to the lorder, it would look like
-
everybody else's work whire is here. Why is they're dangling everywhere?
-
How horrible is that? Don't you think when it's so untidy?
-
How many of you have asked workmen to come to
-
the house They get the job done. Everything works, but
-
it looks horrible. Why not? Oh, come in fix the
-
water heater? The follow will come. Put one pipe that
-
runs all there. You can see into your watery it works?
-
Does it look good? No? Well do you know that
-
Jesus also had something for earth to learn? And this
-
is what it is. Let's look at Acts one, verses
-
four and five. And after being assembled together with them,
-
he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to
-
wait for the promise of the Father, which he said,
-
you have heard from me. For John truly baptized with water,
-
But you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not
-
many days from now. How many of you are builders?
-
How many are engineers? Any engineers in the house? No engineers?
-
Any project managers in the house, anyone ever handling projects
-
on it? No project managers of my work? One one? Okay, okay?
-
Care I ask you this question. If you have you
-
don't know this answer, something is wrong. How many of
-
you have heard of a mission statement? Oh? No, every
-
company or mission statement? Right? Mission statement? What was your
-
mission statement as a believer going into the world and
-
preach the gospel to all missions? We got a mission statement?
-
But how many of us know. Hey, you in architecture,
-
so you're familiar with this, right, And how many of
-
you know and I'm sure you know this that a
-
mission statement always comes with a method statement. Do you
-
know what is a method statement? Have you heard of
-
this term? Method statement? No, the mission is to learn.
-
The mission is to drive a car. What is the
-
method statement? Go to a driving school. The mission is
-
to fill the glass with hot water. What is the
-
method statement? Put water in the can, go and boil it.
-
The mission is to bake a cake. What is the
-
method statement? Get the flag, get the eggs, get the sugar,
-
put it together, mix it, put it in the oven.
-
At three hundred and for eighteen minutes. You got a cake.
-
You get it. Do you know that Jesus gave us
-
a method statement? What was the method statement? Hey, I've
-
given you a mission, but you are not to do
-
it alone. You are to go to Jerusalem and you
-
are to wait till you are baptized with the Holy Spirit.
-
And I think you already know where I'm coming with this,
-
but I'm still not going to end the message of us.
-
You're stuck with me. It means that we are not
-
to go and do it on our own, because if
-
we do it on our own, the journey will be
-
longer and the fruit will be much less or not
-
at all, because there's a mission and there's a method,
-
and we always forget, or I wouldn't say we always forget,
-
but we rarely remember that there's something we have to
-
do in order to fulfill Matthew twenty eight. What was
-
that we have to rely on the power that the
-
Holy Spirit is going to give us. In Acts one eight,
-
it says, but you shall receive power when the Holy
-
Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses
-
to me in Jerusalem and in Judea, and in Samaria
-
and to all the ends of the earth. Hey, if
-
you and I are to have an impact on all
-
the nations, the Holy Spirit must be involved. Because the
-
Holy Spirit is not involved, it's not going to happen.
-
Because the Bible says Jesus himself says, and you shall
-
be my witnesses when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.
-
You see, it's not enough to say you're a policeman.
-
You go out on the road and you put your
-
hands up to stop the traffic, and the next day
-
the news reads man flattened by vehicle. But if you
-
put the badge and the white glove and you put
-
up your hand, the eighteen wheeler trailer will stop in
-
its tracks because you're powerful. No, because you put on
-
the power of the authority of the badge and the glove.
-
But for Christians, what is it? It's the Holy Spirit.
-
It's the Holy Spirit. Why do I pray? And I
-
ask God, God, I got to do this? Ask what
-
am I going to do? I'm relying on the power
-
of the Holy Spirit. And he starts to speak to
-
me and gives me ideas and ideas and ideas and
-
man alive. It's so amazing. I've never done this before.
-
Do you know that I learned new skills when I
-
was doing that thing. I've never before used the rivert
-
and I did it. I never before used my metal
-
drill bit and drilling metal in metal to hide wires
-
inside metal, but I did it. These are new skills.
-
You shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem when the
-
Holy Spirit has come upon you. Why do you know
-
that to every given task there is how to? And
-
sometimes we wonder all witness missions be going on missions.
-
But God never asked you to go without help. He's
-
given us that help. That help is the power the
-
Holy Spirit. How many of us have asked, Holy Spirit,
-
come and help me to go out and share Missions
-
Sometimes is not just going to do what you think
-
you've been called to do. Missions is sometimes going out
-
to the field and just obeying what they tell you
-
to do. The first time that I did go on
-
and overseas mission Strip was to Karawachi. You know what
-
we did. We sold clothes. That was the mission. The
-
mission was to sell used clothes, you know why, to
-
gain money to put underprivileged children to school, and in
-
doing that we could speak to the parents about Jesus.
-
So sometimes missions may not be exactly what we think
-
it is. But when we are called the mission, feel
-
we have to do and be obedient to what we're
-
being told to do. What's our responsibility? Realize that there's
-
a how to go to the Holy Spirit get that help.
-
He will help you go. He will help you do.
-
You know, God helps and equips us to do what
-
He has instructed us to do. You think it's I
-
think it would be really terrible of God say go
-
on missions and you just go and find your own way.
-
God's not like that. How many of us in the
-
office have we experienced somebodys go and do it and
-
doesn't teach us how I've experienced that when I was
-
in Pizza Hut, go and do this report. You need
-
to give it to me by the fifth of every month.
-
Have I used a computer before? Never have I ever
-
seen that time? He was lotus one to three, the
-
old version of Excel. Never before have you used I
-
only know how to press the button to turn it on. Hey,
-
guys that time computers are very expensive, okay, not anybody
-
had access to it, you know. And these guys in
-
Singapore they eat reports for breakfast, So fifth of fifth
-
of every money, the reports don't come and the world
-
has ended. That's how it was. You know what was
-
the first thing? And it was so stressed out the
-
first man. You know what what I had to do.
-
I added on the calculator. They can put the number in.
-
You think that's funnier. You know how many restaurants I
-
had to do it for at that time, four restaurants
-
and with delivery home deliveries eight core centers. Adding with
-
the calculator and putting in the column. I knew that
-
was wrong. Man, I knew it was wrong, so I
-
asked God. I said, God, this is not the right
-
way to do it. Can you help me? Will you
-
help me? Holy Spirit? I need your assistance. I went
-
asleep that night and in my sleep something dropped in
-
It really dropped, you know, like something dropped from the chair,
-
like dropped in head dunk. I got up in the morning,
-
It's like I could see everything. Oh. I got on
-
my motorbike and I sped from Klang to PJ Section fourteen.
-
Put the bike in rent to the computer. I mean,
-
I really ran to the computer to test out what
-
I saw in my head. And I saw something very simple.
-
Two baskets and a third basket. Put some fruit in this,
-
put some fruit in that basket. And if you would
-
take this fruit and this fruit and put it in
-
the third basket, what would you do? This plus this
-
equals that I tried it and it worked, and my word,
-
my mind exploded in a thousand different directions. There was
-
a report that would take me two weeks to do
-
because it was a manual report. Immediately that morning, I
-
completely did a whole worksheet to do that two weeks
-
work in two hours. And he didn't stop there. God
-
kept opening my mind. When one month we opened another
-
four restaurants and another four course centers, and I called
-
a guy, Hey, you got to program it in the
-
in our accounting software. He said, I'm sorry, I'm not here.
-
I'm in Hong Kong. I cannot come. Say. You know
-
this head office people right, they will starve if they
-
don't get the report. He is sorry, I cannot help you.
-
So you know what I did? I say, God, you
-
gotta help me. What am I supposed to do? I
-
can give half of the report in Excel and then
-
the hard other half of the report handwrite it. How
-
am I going to do that? How am I going
-
to get the figures? I cannot get the You're gonna
-
help me, I promise you. The Holy Spirit speaks to you.
-
I went to the computer and a word came command,
-
So I typed in the word command. Have I ever
-
done programming? Never in my life? I told you what.
-
I have no access to a computer, and the Lord
-
and I kept hearing in the Lord command and this,
-
and I pressed, and all of a sudden, codes came out,
-
codes and codes, And I'm telling me the truth. I
-
could read it. Somehow I understood it. You know what
-
I did. I used those codes and I continued at
-
the end, and I started typing, used the original. I
-
started typing, and I changed keywords, and I type, and
-
I time and I time, and then the Lord showed
-
me how to end. End. What I did was I
-
printed out that SOSK. I printed out everything that I
-
had done on pages and pages of printed paper. Those
-
days are you know the paper thing. I don't know
-
how long it took to pray in. But then there's
-
another machine, which I'm sure many of you don't realize.
-
You have you heard of a fax machine? Oh? Okay,
-
I'm glad I'm not that old. Okay, So I now
-
took these people. It was still in the long sheet,
-
and I faxed the whole thing to this guy in
-
Hong Kong, and I said, you read it? He read it,
-
and he said, where did you learn this? It took
-
me a long time to learn to do this. How
-
did you manage to do it? I said, firstly, is
-
it corragna? He said, yes, it is. I said, well,
-
you don't help me, my God will. And you know what,
-
it worked from the first button. God is able to
-
do fantastic things for you. If you will believe. So,
-
now you're trusting God for somebody's soul, you mean to say,
-
He's not gonna answer. He is more interested in that
-
soul coming to know him than you are, because he
-
has known that person from the time that person was
-
formed in the womb. You only that person or know
-
that person from the time you've met that person. Who
-
has a greater desire for someone to come to the Lord?
-
If it's not Jesus. And you mean to say, if
-
you ask him, he's not going to give to you,
-
you better believe he will. How many of you here
-
do not have family members who are saved? Can I
-
searsh your hands? Do you think that's the end of
-
the story. Well, my Bible says, and your Bible says
-
that you and your household will be saved. Am I
-
to believe what you say or what the Bible says?
-
Oh they cannot, Oh they will not. Hey, when my sister,
-
she had Jesus with me here for four years, I
-
fought her. I was mean to her. I was a
-
wretched brother. And you know what, I became a Christian
-
because the Lord spoke to my year. God is able.
-
You sow you reap after I became a Christian. My
-
brother gave me a hard time, the same way the
-
hot time I gave my sister, This brother gave me
-
hard time. He was wretched to me. You know what,
-
the friends that his classmates, whom I brought to the
-
Lord shared with him, and he became a Christian. Isn't
-
that funny? Then he goes and shares with my friend.
-
You must remember he is one year older than me,
-
so we are in the same school, and you cannot
-
run away from people that we know are h So
-
he shares with my classmate, and guess what, my classmate
-
becomes a Christian. And then you see, God is so kinder.
-
My youngest brother is a loving person. Nobody can be
-
angry with him. You will just love him if you
-
meet him. And those of you who are just getting married,
-
and if you go to see me, c for that
-
minister to marry or guess what, he's my brother because
-
he's a pastor. Now. So that classmate of mine whom
-
my brother shared with, shared with him and he became
-
a Christian. Isn't that wonderful? How God works? Is it impossible?
-
You may think so, but it's not. Ask the Holy
-
Spirit to every given task is how to and God
-
will equip you doing that. God wants you to succeed.
-
God doesn't want you to feel and you think you
-
and Iyeboth think, oh, you know, we've shared with them
-
a million times, they not come to the Lord. God
-
will say, go and share with them a million and
-
the first time now is the day. You've done it
-
your way? Now do it mine? People I shared with you,
-
that person would not accept the Lord. And I ask
-
the Lord, Lord, you're telling me to go and share
-
with him? What do I share with him? Badminton? Badminton?
-
Who would ever think that badminton will open somebody's eyes
-
to receive the Lord? But you see, God is all wisdom,
-
So will you ask him? So you are afraid to
-
go on missions, You and I were afraid to go
-
on missions. We are afraid to share with people we
-
don't know. Let me tell you, it's people whom you
-
know that give you the hardest time. It's people whom
-
you know are that rarely listen to you. But you know,
-
it's a lot of people whom you don't know. The
-
moment you talk to them about Christ for some reason
-
and they will say, yes, you know why an annoying thing.
-
You are obeying the Holy Spirit by going to a nation.
-
So those of you that have come from overseas here
-
to Malaysia, who's that person you're going to share with?
-
Who's that person who's going to come to the Lord
-
because you are here? Do you know that that will happen?
-
More than you think. I went from here to Singapore.
-
More people came to the Lord in Singapore than they
-
did over here. Why because the Singaporeans the want to
-
listen to the Singaporeans. They want some joker from Malaysia. Yeah.
-
Do you know that there was one guy cousin who's
-
from here and over there. You know he accepted the
-
Lord there in Singapore. God has got a lot of wisdom.
-
I donnot know why he didn't. It didn't happen here,
-
but it happened there. God wants you to succeed. So
-
this week, go and share with that love one. What
-
do you share? Jesus loves you? Before you share Jesus
-
loves them, why not you tell them you love them?
-
Mam Dad, I've never said this to you before. I
-
want you to know I love you and I love
-
you very much. And if you are like my parents,
-
from the old school. They will firstly ask you something wrong?
-
Are you having some kind of terminal illness? Because the
-
first time I told my parents then huh there was
-
a look of shocking face. Ha ha er he is
-
everything okay? Is something wrong? Then I just went I'm dead.
-
This is how I talk to them. I'm dad. What's
-
the point of me telling you I love you when
-
you're not here? When you're gone? And then I'm crying
-
to myself. I should have told you. I should have
-
told you. You're here now. So I'll tell you now
-
and I will not live a life of regret. That
-
was twenty years today from parents who never say they
-
love you now. They always tell me terens, I love
-
you very much. That feel good old school parents. You know,
-
father is ninety two years old, mother is eighty eight
-
telling their children their son there they are, sixty three
-
year old, son, I love you very much. Wow, Go
-
and speak to them that brother that's still who's been
-
fighting you. No need to fret. Just go and tell
-
him you know what. I love you. They'll ask you
-
what's all this about? You? Just say, you know, in
-
spite of whether we agree or we disagree, I just
-
know this. I want you to know you or something
-
special to me. You will break eyes like you have
-
never seen. Trust the Lord. He's able to. He wants you.
-
He is more interested in your success than you even know.
-
And you know what that God thinks big. God thinks
-
really big. You know you know why God thinks big.
-
He's using you? Am I mean for him to use us, sir?
-
He must really think big. Ray. Not because if he
-
thought smaller, he wouldn't use us. He used somebody else.
-
But because he really thinks we're special, he's willing to
-
use us. Do you know that? That's how God thinks
-
of you and me. He thinks we're really really special
-
that he would use somebody wretched like me to share
-
his word. You know, I look at myself, say God,
-
something is wrong with your eyes? Man? Then he'll tell me, no,
-
something is wrong with yours. You got to see yourself
-
like I see you. When he saw Gideon, he didn't
-
see Gideon, the coward threshing wheat behind the wine press.
-
What did he tell Gideon? You mighty man of Vella?
-
You see God sees us with his eyes, and he
-
sees us big. There's so many opportunities for missions coming up?
-
Do you see yours? Do I see myself as someone
-
big enough as God sees us? Because if we see
-
ourselves like how God sees us, ain't no problem in
-
no worry. So how does the Holy Spirit do this?
-
And we'll be getting to something very interesting? The helper
-
and John fourteen twenty six is but the help of
-
the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name.
-
He will teach you all things you are supposed to
-
teach everybody what some things? All things? And how do
-
you know all things? Scripture? Says the Holy Spirit. He
-
will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance
-
all things that I've said to you, to all things.
-
It's the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things. And
-
this is the all things we are supposed to teach
-
the Nichans. And how does he help us? He brings
-
to memory all things that what I have said to you.
-
If there's any reason for you and me to read
-
our Bible and to learn scripture, is because what you
-
put in he will bring to memory and put out.
-
You see, if we don't get it in our head,
-
if we don't even read it once, all right, the
-
Holy Spirit has got very little to work with. Read
-
your word? What does scripture say? He will bring to
-
your remembrance all things that I've said to you. I
-
am very bad when it comes to quoting scripture, because
-
if you ask me the scripture and where it is found,
-
I know the scripture is there, but I can never
-
remember the the verse. Praise God for all the you
-
know online apps, But you want to know something. God
-
always brings to mina that verse. And when He brings
-
to mind that verse, even as I prepare for you,
-
I go in and I can find the scripture. But
-
you see, I can quote scripture. Maybe my knowledge of
-
the verse is poor, but I know it's there. It's
-
the right scripture. It's the right verse used at the
-
right time. Your Holy Spirit is bringing to memory, and
-
I'm going to prove it to you. When did Peter
-
ever quote scripture before jesus resurrection? Do you ever find
-
Peter quoting any scripture? Thou the Christ, the Son of
-
the Living God. He wasn't quoting scripture. He was speaking
-
out a revelation that God that Jesus said, God the
-
Father had just revealed to him. But he wasn't quoting scripture.
-
But after Jesus resurrected, and after he ascended, this is
-
what Peter said. You can read in the Book of Acts.
-
He said, once before the baptism of the Holy Spirit,
-
for it is written in the Book of Psalms, let
-
this dwelling place be desolate, and let no one live
-
in it. What was he talking about Judas and the
-
place where Judas died? And then he said, let another
-
take his offer. He was quoting Psalms one or nine,
-
verse eight, the first one he was quoting Psalm sixty nine,
-
verse twenty five. Do you know this is the first
-
time in recorded Bible literature that Peter was quoting scripture.
-
It was also before the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
-
Before the baptism of the Holy Spirit. How many scripture
-
did Peter court? Two? Jesus' lifespan was over. His ministry
-
was over a three year period, so in all of
-
Jesus' lifespan, Peter only quoted two scripture. But after the
-
Baptism of the Holy Spirit, immediately after, guess what Peter
-
quote Scripture X two. You can read in X two
-
seventeen to twenty one, X two Versus twenty five to
-
twenty eight and x two, verse thirty four, ten verses.
-
Immediately after the baptism, the Holy Spirit, let me give
-
you a little bit of math. He quoted five hundred
-
percent more scripture. This is the big difference when the
-
Holy Spirit gets involved. And literally, as I was walking
-
every morning and I say, God, what is the proof?
-
How do I share this? And the Lord gave me
-
this percentage? He says, guy, you gotta look at it
-
and look at it again. Wasn't there a difference? You
-
may ask yourself, So how did Peter know this? You
-
got to understand the Jewish culture. They were thought the
-
Word from a very young age. They were taught scripture,
-
but they never used scripture. It didn't mean too much
-
to them. Why because they didn't have a revelation or
-
what that scripture meant, or who that scripture was speaking about,
-
or the understanding given by the power the Holy Spirit.
-
But the moment that happened a change life. In John
-
fourteen twenty six, it says, but the help of the
-
Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send you in my name,
-
he will teach you all things and what bring to
-
remembrance all things I have said to you. And we're
-
coming to an end soon. How do we know? How
-
do we know that Jesus is true? You know, there's
-
a sixty five percent of the population that dispute that
-
Jesus is true. And they always say, did Jesus ever
-
say or call himself God? You heard that? And so
-
they think they have stumped you think they have won.
-
Let me give you an answer to that. In this
-
sixty five percent population, they believe only God can forgive sins.
-
Ask them, can only God forgive sins? They will tell
-
you yes. You know that the Jews also only believe
-
God can forgive sins. Jesus doesn't need to say he
-
is God because the Jews said to him, how can
-
you forgive sins? Only God can forgive sins? What was
-
Jesus answer to show you that I mean business and
-
I am who I say I am. Your sins are forgiven,
-
Take up your bed and walk, and that miracle happened.
-
So when they tell you that, so are you not
-
believing in someone who has taken the power of God.
-
It's about time you shut the right people up. Look
-
at the changed lives of his disciples. They were cowards
-
before the baptism and the Holy Spirit. They were afraid.
-
After the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they were mighty
-
and brave, and their lives are so completely changed. Peter said,
-
I'm not worthy. It's not in scripture, but this is
-
church history. I'm not worthy to be crucified the same
-
way my lord was crucified. So Peter died a horrible death.
-
He was crucified upside down. He and his wife James,
-
had a sword in him. They tried to cook John
-
many times. It didn't work. Paul was beheaded. All these
-
people would did die for something they did not believe
-
what suddenly they became brave. Look at Peter. Peter said,
-
I don't know the man. I don't know the man.
-
I don't know the man. Just when he was in
-
the court, suddenly from I don't know the man to
-
the I don't know man, I don't know a man.
-
Now he saying, crucify me upside down. Hey, you have
-
to be blind not to realize something happened here. What
-
happened revelation from God. So let's uh summarize. So what
-
has all this got to do with missions? We start
-
first by knowing Jesus. You and I we know Jesus.
-
We qualify all right. Secondly, we listen to his command
-
to go. Start off first by getting out of your house.
-
If you stay in your house, you're not going because
-
you don't have nobody to meet. So wherever you go,
-
share the Lord. Start first with someone you know. Do
-
you know that the Holy Spirit has provided us with
-
the help that we need? So we think we don't
-
have what it takes. No, share what you know. You
-
just need to say. You may not know what to say,
-
We may not know what to say, but the Holy
-
Spirit will help us recall every word that we need.
-
Every word that we need, the Holy Spirit is going
-
to help. And lastly, we speak of what we know.
-
We speak of our experience and what Jesus has helped
-
us do. Why do I share my testimonies or little
-
things that I fix and how God helps and all
-
that is to realize for you and I to realize
-
God helps us in every area of our lives, and
-
He is interested in some insignificant area of our life
-
enough to help us. How much more when it comes
-
to important things like getting your family saved, or like
-
going out there and being a witness for His glory. Hey,
-
you and I must realize it. No longer look at
-
ourselves as weak people. We are we are different, We
-
are special in His sight. And I'll end with this
-
John twelve thirty two. And if I'm lifted up from
-
the earth, I will draw all peoples to myself. So
-
what do you talk about? We talk about Jesus greatness,
-
You talk about his glory, you talk about how much
-
He loves you. You just talk about Jesus Man. Because
-
when you raise Jesus up, people will want to know him.
-
People will want to know him. Let's stay worship God
-
as good as at he he loves us. So even
-
as we close Missions Month Missions Emphasis Month, realize that
-
you have something to offer the ministry of His word
-
in the world at large, and if you will believe it,
-
he will honor that fame.
-
