What Matters In The End | Elder Wong Ken

You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

Has to be preached to ends of the world. And

if we don't go, who will go? And God always

gives everyone a versus, an opportunity to go, a portunity

to respond. The invitation is out there and it's a

question whether we want to respond or not. Then when

sister Surah shared her story, because I hardly her shared story.

Is only the husband that shared a lot of stories.

The wife is very quiet. But this time we get

to hear sister Suria share her story or her journey.

It's really really amazing. If you've known her ten years ago,

she never wanted to take the stage, never want to

take the microphone, never want to be on stage. Now

that's a husband thing. Now she's like more than happy

to support her husband. But when she started sharing about

her journey, about her encounter and different things like that,

it really really just reminds us a gate and a gate. Really,

what's our faith all about? Why do we believe? Why

do we do what we do? Sometimes you may not

be able to see it in the immediate return, meaning

to say that you invest today in the lives of people.

They respond immediately Tomorrow salvation take place. You know, you know,

ten ten million people come and know Jesus imediates be

in a community whereby you're the only believer. And when

she shared her story about God's asking her to go

to the interiors of Sabah, that was something which really

resonated in me only because not so much about interiors

or anything like that. This is so like God. Isn't

it encouraging? You know, putting a nation, a place, a

community in the hearts of the people say would you go?

Would you go? You heard about you know what we

are doing with our community project once a month and

it's only made possible because of the homes that we

have or the cell group that we have in church.

It's never easy to go to a community by yourself

one and you know, the needs are really a lot,

and we get people writing in for needs. We have

a family that writes into us every other time. You know,

normal groceries. Can you buy groceries for us or not?

And we'll put money together in an office there and

buy groceries for them. Sometimes we know which are the genuine,

which are the more For flicky one, the flicky one

is always like, we can buy groceries for you, but

it may not be the brand that you liked. Somethings,

I only take this brand, only go like okay, hmmm, anyway,

let's be saying the point. So God spoke to her,

she went there. And the fact is this is that

I'm not sure how many diversitier will continue serving if

you are the only one imagine right now packing your

bags or rather for a season, for shot, maybe over

ten days, going there in the community whereby it's so

strange you're the only one constantly asking yourself did you

hear wrongly? Did you listen to God correctly or not?

And life of a faith is always like that, isn't it?

That she shares scripture which really really resonated in my heart.

Turn with me right now to accept the twenty was

twenty four. I got, really got this scripture. This is

my scripture for this year. If you don't know, it's

twenty twenty four. This is twenty twenty four year, very

easy to remember, but it starts off with this. But

none of these things move me. None of these things

move me. Paul right in the midst of the challenges

in the midst of the trials, in the midst of persecution.

You know, it's never easy when you know your life

is a stick. It's never easy that you know your

life people are coming out to get your life, people

are coming out to kill you. It's now easy when

you know where the pressures and stuff like that. It's

almost not human not to think about it. You know that,

you know that the possibility of you going to a

particular city that people really wanted to go after you.

You know, it's hard. You know, even right now some

of us here got different challenges, is coming weak or

rather work there needs to be done, and if you're

honest enough, you're thinking about it, even though we don't

want to think about it. But Paul rights in such

a way whereby but none of these things move me,

even though the danger is very real, the challenges is

very real, and sometimes obstacle is so real, but it

doesn't occupy his mind and his heart. It doesn't have

a foothold, It doesn't rob his attentions, rob his focus

on serving God. Because sometimes in our journey when we

have an issue, first thing we drop is God right.

But Paul wrote it in such way whereby yes, he

acknowledged this thing is real. It is there could be

waiting for me because it was ready tree right. The

Holy Spirit reminds him confirmed to him there are trials

and challenges coming waiting for him in the next city

that he's going to go to. It's very real. But

yet everything he said, but none of these things move me.

I pray that we have the same spirit as Paul

as well, that none of the life challenges that we

are facing right now will rob us. We'll steal our tension,

we will rob our devotion, we will rob our Bible

reading time. None of these things will move you to

a place whereby to say that God is not real.

None of these things will cause it to come to

a place whereby you doubt. Paul Is to write as well,

no do I count my life dear to me, friends,

until unless you re a place whereby knowing that no

matter what happened to us, our future, our life, whether

it's the present, right now or even the time, will

we go home to meet with the Law and Savior.

All that really doesn't help, you, know, because I'll anchor

our our future, our life, our spirit is in the lot. Recently,

this about last week, I think I went for Moses

Francis week. Got to know this brother in church in

years old, God called him home and you know when

the doctor, and he did so the day that got

called it home. He was on the way be painful

car on the way to hospital. And everyone there was

when the set of shot. Everyone at the weak of service.

The mom was in tears were in the set of shot,

like so young, you know, so much future even though

let's say for the so much in front of him

and stuff like that. But yet because the mom used

to be a pastor, that used to be a pastor.

The although absence in the body, meaning say that no

longer here tears. Of course we miss him terribly, but

yet knowing that his sperienced with the Lord, and that

that is the future, that that is the anchor, that

is a hope, and I was ourvation that death will

not have victory. That's why Paul can write in such

way wherebi, I do not count my life as valuable,

and sometimes the word pitied as your life is really valuable.

It's true that we have one life we need. There's

no such thing as game over. We start pressing the

butter we play again at level twenty five. There is

no opportunity to do that in real life setting. But

the question is not how the length of time. The

question is how have we been living our life? Because

can we be like Paul at no matter what stage

of our life that God causes back, have we given

out all to the Lord? Heavy self, empty ourself? God?

If you ask me to go once a man into

the community to do something, I'm willing to do that

because at the end of the day, Paul say that,

nor do I count my life dear to me. So

what's dear to you, friend, is what's dear to you

is what you hold onto. You know, it's very hard

for it to release something that is when you gets

hold of your heart. Sometimes we had a brother in

our church, you know, broken up with his girlfriend for

like ten over years, ten over years. Ready, But yet

at the same time, you will be seen that once

you wick up, ready, well, you're gonna get made in

the future. It's gonna to keep anything for your pastler,

it's not to keep presents from your past and stuff

like that. And you know, but there is only a tumbler.

Even it's only functionally, it still can be used. It's

only a tumbler and stuff like that. I said, yeah,

it's only a tumbler, But why is it so hard

for you to let it go If it's only a

tumbler still can use. I say, well, if you tell

your future spouse that you know you're still keeping this

tumbler because your eggs give it to you, I'm sure

she very understanding, because it still can be used. They say,

the more harder for God to use us at the

field we see. We want Christ to come into our life.

We want the experience the goodness of God, the mercy

of God. But yet at the same time God is

asking us, that are you holding on to life so tightly?

The Bible says it met chapter six, sicky first, the

Kingdom of God. Friends. We all know the scripture, but

there is the first thing first we need to do

in our life. In our journey of faith, sicky first,

the Kingdom of God. And many times in our journey

of friends, we are always sicky last, the Kingdom of God,

because we want, we want the Word is. Everything else

has to be exhausted, for then only you return to

the Lord. But God reminds us today, siky first, the

Kingdom of God. And all these things should be added

on to you. Friends. The challenge has always been that

things drop us of our attention. That's why Paul did

not give too much attention to the challenges he has.

Because the more we think of our problem, the more

we magnify, the more it consume us. Isn't it The

more we think about something, the more it consumers Let's

say you just got involved with the relationship and you're

thinking about the person and everything of the but the

person is always good, It's always nice. One. That's why

I've been doing one of the question. We always ask

free before they start dating. All right, they come and

see us, they say, eld, we we're gonna start dating. Really,

then you know it's always good. In the first journey,

we need to say that everything is always very nice. One. Oh,

She has the sweetest of voice. She was twenty three

years old, but her voice was like fifteen year old.

God always encourage every person to finish our race well,

Many people just want to finish a race, a race

just yeah, I get to a race, I get to

the finish like I'm a finisher where the T shirt

probably and stuff like even though we now finish and

stuff like that. We what, sorry, I'm not hit taking

out anybody, all right, I do not know anybody and

who went for one of those things, all right? You know?

We the word is that we encourage people to end

the race, finish well, finish well. But the Bible here

says in X chapter twenty verse twenty four, friends, paul

Us is asking us to finish the race. Race come

on joy, to finish this life with joy. The only

way you can finish this life with joy if it

is that it's totally opposite, not so tightly, so dearly,

so precious. This is all mind. Paul's asking us today, friends,

not to finish our life, to come to a place

whereby I finish, that's it, right, we get so angry people.

You can get to a finish line and we get

so angry with the people try to just in the

position to get to get number one. You can get

so angry people because someone trying to try to lay

a trap in front of you. Right, you can finish

a race with anger. You can finish a race with dispute.

We can finish a race with bitterness and resentment. Or

you can finish a race with joy, the Bible says,

and joy friends come from a place whereby you know,

if we've ever been in the race before, friends, it's

very hard to smile when you just feel that your

legs is going to give up. It's very hard to

smile when you're just trying to get some air, trying

to say, hey, I thought I can run. You ever

put a pair of running shoes, pair of running shoes

right in the mind. Right now you've asked you feel

before how long? How far do you think you can run?

I'm not sure how many of us you overestimate our ability,

you know, right, Let's say, for example, majority I can

run hungry meter without stopping right. In fact, we can

my life dearly? Because I want to finish my race

with joy. The only timement we can we can come

to a place like Paul is to know that this life,

this race that Paul is running, is not for himself.

You can only finish the race with joy when you

know that you're running this race for the Lord. Many

times in the people's life and journey is that there

is a target and achievement they want to achieve before

they exit, which is true everyone. We want a particular lifestyle,

we want to particular target, go for it. But there

is a higher calling whereby God, this life, this breath,

this life that you have given to me I want

to learn it to live for you. That's why Paul

can write I want to finish the race with joy,

because at the end of the day, what really matters

is serving you, doing your will, doing your purpose. Understand

your purpose. While I'm here on earth many times is

now journey. Friends. We try to explore so manything else

we go from one job to another job. But the

true satisfaction is this that knowing God, what is it

that you want me to do? I can be placed

in any company, I can place it in any field.

For that matter, what is it that you want me

to do? You can place me, you can bless me

with X amount of money. But Lord, what is it

that you want me to do? Because until unless you

come to this place, God, here I am. Let me

hear your voice, which you direct me? Would you lead me?

You know when Girl ran back to Germany, he did

not just want to settle down, and this attended church.

Two may people by just settling down and not doing

anything for Yep, nothing wrong with attending church. Nothing is

wrong with just being part of a community of faith.

But God, this life, they're all that you right now

have given me. Of all the church you join, you

decide to dry a church called X. Think about it.

There's so many churches around, fantastic church around in claimorate.

You decide to take this leap of faith to join us,

not because you know acts exist, you know down the

road and you're just so nearby. There's one kilometers away

from your house. You could have after that, maybe after

the first time here in church, you could be hearing

new to church, maybe say this is not your church.

But since you're a part of our church, our church

is big in church planting. So you stick to a

particular church because you believe in where God is being

in the church too. Other churches they could be big

in worship, right, and that's why everything every resources put

towards a worship experience. Our church right now, we want

to say that a maximum we want the church plan

to go through is hunger and twenty people. Then you multiply,

Then you multiply a hunger and twenty people, then you

multiply homes. Once you've reached twelve, thirteen, forty, pray that

you multiply. Don't come to a place where, oh I

need to look for a bigger place. These days, not

everyone has a big home. Majority of people have a

small home, so we won't we prayed every home maximum

is twelve after twelve, really think about multiplication because that's

the desire right, so everyone can be part of a

serving community. There is no there's no place, there's no

such thing as I'm just here that people can serve me.

We want everyone to hear, to be to explain what

planting a church, people doing this. The biggest shock I

get is that when visiting speakers come to our place,

you mean you allow female female leaders in church. I say,

they're not here. I just say that it's true right now.

I want to end my race with joy. The only

time you can end your race, you enjoy knowing that

who you're running for? Come on, who are you running for?

Who are you running for? This race of life? It

is for yourself. Because Paul did not allow himself to

be exalted. Paul did not allow himself to be exalted.

Relations Chapter two Wards twenty Relicious Chapter two Wards twenty.

You know the scripture. A lot of people, preachers appreciate

on it. But two twenty states this, I've been crucified

with Christ. Come on, i have been crucified with Christ.

So Paul wrote, wrote in such a way. But his

life is no longer his anymore. His life right now

is nil to the cross, and that was the Cross

is the one that determines how he should live, not

based on what he thinks, what he feels like, what

little disciples. A lot of people say they believe in God,

but not enough disciples. Disciple just means this God, wherever

you go, I will go. The Bible says, take up

the cost and follow me. A lot of people are

just having an expression of faith. Really nothing wrong with

expression of faith, but no Christ conviction. Christ living in

me means living out Christ's conviction here on earth. Many times,

our journey friends, we are very contented by just going

to church, maybe giving some money. But yet there has

to be more. That's why Paul cat right, I want

to finish my race with joy, because at the end

of the day, what really matters is that pleasing God

is my number one priority. Paul could write in such

a way, we're boy to fish racis joy. And the

ministry which I received from the Lord to finish my

risk of joy and the ministry I received from the Lord, friends,

is what Paul writes, and encourage the people to live

out the way as well. So back to relationship to

two twenty, it says as well, but the Christ, but Christ,

listen with me. The life which now I live in

the flesh, the life with now I live in the flesh.

I live it by faith in the Son of God

who loves me and give himself to me. I live

it by faith. And this is how I'm going to

It was yesterday. Yesterday, she invited about ten of the

people she reached out to from China. They all camere

because of churious education. They decided going out take together

with the homies. She knew that friends, if coming, cannot

be just coming to Malaysia for my churist education. It

has to be more than there. Right now we call

our faithful regulation. It's just coming to hear this, the

words taking a step out of faith and this even

though I'm a foreign land, you know, like what Paul

writes or not, I'm not gonna allow this to stop

me from serving you. Ivangualism is much in it everywhere

we go. I did come my life daily. Sometimes we

say a weep with rejecteds. Okay, I'll move on but yes,

she's so gung ho and she's just wanted you to

reach out to the neighbors. This is people of the

love of Jesus tell telling people what Jesus done in

her life, even though she was she'sed from a country

that persecure Christians. As I close right now, friends, I

pray for all of us here. Really, at the end

of the day, we can really like poor. None of

these things really matter. The physical stuff, yes, it's good,

it's important. We need all those but that's not the

life goal. Life goal is really to know God and

to do his real.
