Mercy | Elder Terence Atkinson

You're listening to a message to go from as church.

We hope this message will light up your day. Okay,

this morning I was asking the Lord what am I

going to share? And the Lord and I always the

time that I have a lot of time to talk

to the Lord is when I go for my morning walks,

and so I asked the Lord Lord, what do I share?

Knowing that full well the first message that I was

going to share a new message, you're going to share?

What's said? I'm bug And the Lord said one word mercy. Mercy.

He said mercy. Okay, so you know, I asked the

Lord Lord, what do I prepare? And you know, so

I've prepared a word. And you know, so even as

I've been having this in my mind for the last

couple of weeks, this word mercy and God's mercy at that.

So yesterday for dinner, you know, I went to this

shop with Elmabele. We When we went, we had my

favorite dinner which is Raba tosse one up. You know

why Raba tosi is because Raba Tosi got very low

in calories. Okay, so I caloric out. So I had

this Rabba Tosa and after we had finished. This is

already aout nine o'clock. As we were going back, there

was this dog, you know, maybe you know, a young dog.

This dog was in the distance. The light was shining

on the dog, and the dog was eating out of

garbage or trying to find food out of garbage. Soul said,

you know, so sad. You know, this dog is trying

to find food and there's no food. You know, I

wish I could do something. I say, you can just

go and buy some food, you know. So she went

in and I waited for her, and she bought the

dog food. So I thought she would just buy rising

it get some rice put out there. So she came in.

She you know, I thought, come and see me, and

then I'll go and take the food to the dog. No, no, no,

She walked straight to the dog. She walked straight to

the dog, and the dog got afraid and moved away

even as she opened the packet and put it down there.

And then the dog went and took the food and

started to eat it. She bought chicken for the dog.

She never even bought chicken for me when I ate.

She bought chicken for the dog, you know, and the

dog ate. And when she came into the kai. I said,

it's official. Now you're a dog lover, because you must

understand us. We never used to to do that, you know.

He said, no, it's not that. This is my heart

cannot bear to see that it does not have food.

And this morning, as I was walking and talking to

the Lord about this message and praying that it has

an impact on your life, God said, that is mercy.

That is mercy. So I was thinking to myself, hmm,

God has been merciful to my life. Because I'm the

dog that eats the crumbs that falls from his table.

That's mercy. Wow, you don't mind being called dog a

at the master's table. I don't mind being called a

dog because receiving something from the Lord, anything from the Lord,

it is his mercy. And so we have to live

our life remembering that we receive God's mercy, and we

are to be givers of God's mercy. Mercy is not

just meant to be enjoyed for yourself. Mercy is meant

to be learned, experienced, and shared. So I ask, okay, God,

what is mercy? I looked at Webster's dictionary. So what

I'm about to give you is the definition from Webster

Mariam's Dictionary. Okay, the first one is what is mercy?

Mercy is a compassion of forbearans compassion or forbearans you

know it. It is shown especially to an offender or

to one subject to one's power. That means, if you're

a boss, your boss, I'm so sorry I didn't finish

the project. I was late. My computer, you know, crashed

and I couldn't do it. So who is the boss?

Got power? Right? You did not do your work? I

don't care I fire you? Is that messy? That's not messy.

But if you are the kind of boss that wants

to understand and say, look, this is a very very

important project, and in while I may be disappointed that

it's not ready, I do understand the problem of a

computer crashing, I forgive you, but please get it done.

I need it on my desk by tomorrow morning. What

did you show the guy mercy? That's what it means.

You had the power to fire him. You had the

power to really give it to him. Then by hims

called him to whatever. But what did you do? You

showed mercy? Because how many of us have been in

the position where I have a computer has actually crashed.

Have many you actually had that situation where you your

computer crashed and you lost everything and see show heads

only one. Let me tell you I was. I was

the accounting manager or the person in charge of accounting

for a big school and the school had now the

company had actually been just about to go into audit

because you know, works all done, it's December, it's you know,

everything's about to come out already, and my work is

always up to date, always up. Then we had some

guests come from overseas. Very nice person brought her own

pen drive. Yeah, how many you know where I'm going

with this. She took the pen drive and she put

it into a computer, not mine, but put it into

computer and infected the entire system with the Brontog virus.

I mean, you remember the Brontog virus? You don't remember? Insidious?

It rolled itself on the IO sector of your hard disk.

You know what it means to have a virus written

on the IO sector of your hard disk. It means

that you can reformat the hard disk. Had hard reformat

the hard disk and it's still there. You know what

you do with such a computer, You throw it away.

It infected seven computers. And what it does was it

keeps sending out emails until your computer gems and then

one screen will come up and say, well done, you've

been infected by the Bronto virus. This happened in nine

In two thousand and five, we literally threw seven computers away.

But that was not the problem. The problem was all

my work worse in facted and I did not know

it wrote itself on my backups drives. So you know

what I had to do, throw everything away and for

seven months real key in everything from scratch. So from

a person who has his accounts audited on time. That

year my account was late, so I know what it

is like. So trust me when somebody comes up to

me and tells me that, I will have mercy because

the people who were over me understood it and it

did not come down hard on me. But trust me.

Ever since that day I learned, okay, until today, I

have grandmother, grandfather, great grandfather. I got all the way

is back. I got history of backups here in the office,

in another computer some other office on the net. I

never made that mistake again, and then I got a

separate computer. Guests come not on the internet, on your own,

do not touch my computers. Do not touch my office computer.

I became a really paranoid. Anyway, that's a different story.

So it's shown especially to an offender subject to one's power.

But you know what, it's lenient and compassionate treatment. You know,

I had one person who stole from the company. He

stole a lot of money, and so I told my bosses, look,

I'll ask him back for the money. But I don't

think I want to take him and put him in jail.

So I had to talk with him and I said, look, guys, look, guy,

you've stolen twenty thousand dollars from the company. This was

in ninety six, okay, and we have the proof. I

just am interested that you pay the company back. Now,

I'm giving you a chance. Don't do this again, because

I am not putting you in jail. But trust me,

you will not get somebody else who will be so

kind to you in the future. And if I don't

put you in jail, somebody else will if you don't change.

So I let him off the hook. He paid us back.

You know how he paid us back by stealing from

the new company he was in it. I said, hey,

I gave you a chance. He said, one day it's

going to run out. Mercy is going to run out.

So what is mercy? The other type of mercy is

beg for mercy, Lord have mercy on me. Remember that

guy who went to Jesus and said, Lord, have mercy

on me. What is it you want that I may

receive my sight? Remember that one begged for mercy. You

know it's stranger. He did not beg for sight. I

beg you for my sight. He begged for mercy. It's

a kind of compassion that makes things happen. You know.

It's imprisonment rather than death imposed as a penalty for

first degree murder. This is from the dictionary. Okay, so

basically you deserve death, but instead you get your life

sentence commuted. That is mercy. Then this one is more

relevant to us. It is a blessing that is an

act of divine favor or compassion. May God have mercy

on us? Have you heard that one? Before that's dinner?

May God have mercy on us because we need that

divine authority to forgive us. And what about the fortunate circumstance?

It was mercy that they found her before she froze mercy.

It's something that is not within our physical power, but

something good happens to us. And three, it's compassionate treatment

to those in distress, works of mercy among the poor.

I remember when I was young, I was about thirteen

or fourteen years old, and I remember this poor old

man and he was walking in front on the on

the road and we could see it from my house

because my house had this French window. It's French windows

is a cross between a window and a door. You

can kind of sit on it. It's open, but you

can kind of jump out, and you know, so it's

it was opened. Those were the days when everything could

be open. You didn't have to worry about people coming

to steal anything. But somebody actually did come into the house.

One they walked through that store asset player, you know.

But but you know that's like so anyway, this man

is walking and my father saw him. I'll never forget this.

This was extraordinary. My father got up, went to this

old man walking on the street. Looked like a beggar.

He was a beggar. My father brought him into the house,

held him by his put his hand around him and

held him and brought him into the house and sat

him at our dining table and told my mom to

feed him. My mom put food on the same plates

that we ate, and gave him drink from the same

glass that we drink and fed him. And after he

had finished eating, my father gave him money and send

him on its way. And I thought to myself, Wow,

that was extraordinary. I never forgot that. See how many

of us would do something like that. We may invite

a poor person in to eat, But when we invite

them into the house and help them sit at our

dining table, at the head of the dining table, feed

them from our plates, most of us would give them disposables. Right,

it's God like that to us, you see. Does God

feed us with disposable plates? Does God give us drink

with disposable cups? Does He seated seat us down at

his table, or feed us on the outside. We received

mercy from God each and every day of our lives.

The fact that we are fat, and I am fat,

it's God's mercy. Those of us who are not fat,

we thin, praise the Lord. Now me, I'm working on it,

but it's an example of God's mercy on my life.

God shows us mercy each and every you know, I

remember I told you this story. I was driving and

then I saw this man and his car was stopped

and he had, you know, his wife and his kids

in the car. And I drove by and eld Mabel

was in the car and said, let's pray. Father. We

ask you, Lord, in the name of Jesus, send someone

to help this man. So I passed the road already gone,

turning going home, and then the Lord said, you're going

help him. Go on, you're going to help him. I

had to turn the car around, make one big round,

go and come up to this guy. His car was

broken down in front of the section fourteen mall. You

know that the item on and that's where his car was.

So I stopped by the side, went to my car,

took out the jump cables, and never even talked to him.

Cars so upset that the Lord made me go back again,

all right, and then I put the jump cables on,

I started the car, his car started, I said, okay, okay, goodbye,

just hopped into my car, jumped and went back home.

The Lord only this morning, this very morning, told me

something I had received, mercy. It was only ride that

I gave it. To somebody else. You see long ago

when I was studying. When I was and I used

to travel from kl to Clang by motorbike. This is

about ten ten thirty. You know, I had finished my

class at Kdu College, Damansara, Tam at that time that's

what is now it's Nobel. So I finished my class

and I was riding home and at you know where

you have the shah Alarm, the tall building on the

main road. This is the Federal highway going back towards Klang.

So somewhere around shah Alarm, I ran out of patrol.

This was now ten thirteen the night. You know, why

does this when you ride motorbikes, I don't know. It's

the same. There's a valve. You know, you turned the valve,

So it's when you fill up, you turn the valve

and while you're riding, suddenly you find jerking. You know,

you run out of petrol. You gotta turn the valve

the other way. So you got your back up. You're

supposed to go and fill the tank. Right the last

time I filled the tank, I never turned it back,

so I didn't know until I ran out of juice.

So I have to walk back and I pushed the

bike and walk back to Clang. While I was going,

one guy said he it come, come, come, let me

let me help you. Put your food on my bike

and I'll pull you say, I don't think that's the

right thing to do. No, thank you, thank you very much.

Then another guy stopped by and he said, let me

help you. Ah, so you ran out of the guests.

I say, yeah, I ran out of guests. You know

what he did? He he looked around and he found

one of these drink drink packets, you know the box

the you know, Tetra bricks drink packets. He tore it open.

He pulled the valve from his tank and he filled

that and then after that he filled my bike. Mmm.

He pulled it out you feel it, and then after

that pulled it into my tank, put his valve back,

and I was thinking. I was just saying, that's so

kind of you that you did this. Thank you so much.

I'm so grateful. I'm so grateful. Where do you live?

I asked it. So I live somewhere in It was

somewhere in cleg now somewhere and Clagg. He told me

the place and started my bike. It started. I rode back,

got my my my bike failed. You know how much

this delay cost me. If I had walked back from Charlam,

it would have taken me about six hours, five hours

with a bike pushing. You know how much this daily

cost me? About twenty minutes. That's how fast God came

to my rescue. That was mercy I received from a stranger.

And God said, just this morning, as I was walking,

what you did for that man was giving back the

mercy that you had received. Wow. How many of us

receive mercy from the Lord. We keep it to ourselves.

No God expects us to be merciful somebody else. By

the way, I went looking for this guy. He told

me where he lived. Roughly, I went looking for him.

I could not find him. Was he an angel? I

don't know, but I do know this, He was an

angel to me at that moment. I have my own

meaning for the word mercy. It is pity or empathy

in action. You know, if no action comes out of

your pity or your empathy, it is worthless. Mercy is

when you act on that pity. You know, how many

of you remember the eighteen the TV show eighteen? You

remember the any of you ever watched you only one two? Okay,

praise the Lord. You remember ba barakasnaut and a guy

with the Okay, you know what was his famous tagline,

I pretty the fool who comes against me. You know why,

because pity without an action of mercy is an act

of violence. I pity the guy who comes against me.

I'm gonna hammer him. You get it. But that's not God.

God could have wiped every one of these. He said,

if I wanted to call legions of angels, they would

come down right now and defend me. That's what Jesus said.

He could have. But you know what he had, mercy,

not pity, because Jesus compassion resulted in action, which he did.

So pity or empathy in is empathy in action. Mercy

is God's pity and compassion and kindness towards people, you know.

In Lamentations three twenty two to twenty three. Yeah, yeah,

there is scripture involved a lot of scripture from now on.

In fact, that the Bible refers to mercy more than

four hundred and fifty times, about two hundred and ninety

times in the Old Testament. This is if you're reading

in the King James version it's about sixty plus in

the New Testament. It's about three hundred plus in the

Old Testament. But if you look at the lexicon, you know,

and you study agree, it appears more than four hundred

and fifty times, So you know mercy is important to God.

So in limitation Street through the Lord's mercies, we are

not consumed because his compassion, his compassion failed not They

are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. This is

taken from New King James version. Not so familiar, but

maybe you'll remember this version. The state first love of

the Lord never sees his mercy has never come to

an end. They are new, every morning, new every morning.

Great is their faithfulness. Lord, Great is that faithfulness. That

is taken from the ESV English Standard version. Okay, I

think that one we are quite familiar with, all right,

so we'll stick with that one because it means the

same thing. The steadfast love of the Lord never sees us.

His mercy has never come to him, And you and

I face the Lord's mercy and receive the Lord's mercies

every free day. When we get out of bed, it's

God's mercy. When we live to the next day, it's

God's mercy. And you know what scripture says, they are

you every morning. So God has an inexhaustible supply of

mercy towards us. Isn't that wonderful? Because when you look

at yourself in the mirror, and I look at myself

in the mirror, we are not deserving. Seriously, we are

not deserving praise. The Lord. God does not give us

according to what we deserve. He gives us according to

his mercy. Remember phinicians. At the start, he's the boss,

but he's decided I will show mercy, so he's mercy

is you know? I was just writing my aunt. My

aunt wrote to me yesterday and she was telling me

about the operation that she just had because she just

discovered she's got cancer. And I shared with her the

Word of God. I shared with her how to get saved.

You know. I told her about the Lord and how

much the Lord loves her and wants to meet her

as a friend. So you got to receive the Lord

into your heart as Lord and savior. And she wrote

to me to tell me about her experience and to

you know, to take me for my prayers. And I

just wrote wrote back to her and I said, you know,

what the best thing that I can do for you

is prayer, because I'm not there, but I know God

is with you. And I said, isn't it true we

are living on borrowed time? I said, at my age,

I'm also telling you I'm living on borrowed time. It's

a reality for me. I have one brother and one

sister who passed away in their sixties, right, so I'm

already in my sixties. We are all living on borrow time.

And then I told her about my father. Said, for

the first time in my father's life, he is now

unable to come downstairs. It's been four days now since

he has left his bed. And I told her, my

father loves you. You're his younger sister. He loves you

very much. But I want you to know the same

prayer that I wrote to you, I prayed with him

because at our age, we have to be ready to

meet the one who's going to make our life different,

because one day we will meet again without the constraints

of the frailties of our bodies, without the pains that

we feel now, but in a glorified body. That's what

we're going to meet Jesus as so I use that

open and continue to share with her the word and

even as I've just continued to pray with my father. Hey, guys,

I have to tell you, and I keep telling you

this again, It's mercy to keep sharing with your parents.

It's mercy. When was the last time you told your

parents you loved them? I mean, seriously, don't put up

your heads. Was it yesterday? How about was it a

week ago? Do I hear one month? Guys? Jesus is

coming soon. You and I we do not know what

our life is in the future. Go make commitment to

call your parents and tell them mom, dad, I love you.

So you don't do it. So it's not done in

your culture. So what because Jesus said I love you,

God said, for the Bible says God so loved the

world that he gave his only begotten son. And I

asked the Lord about this. Do you know that that

was mescy? Do you know why that people were taught sacrifice?

You know why the children of Israel were taught to

sacrifice sheep and God and all these things so that

they would have an understanding of the meaning of what

the sacrifice of Jesus is going to be. You see,

Gods and sheep don't sin, so that's why their blood

was needed. There was a sacrifice. You know why God

did not institute sacrificing of human beings because that was

reserved for his son so that his son could save us.

That is God's mercy. It's God's mercy to us. Guys,

Go back home, share with your parents, Tell them you

love them. You got children. You haven't told that to

tell them to day? You got a husband and wife. Oh,

we don't say that to each other. Make it your

love language. Tell them every day, because when you are

saying it, you're confessing it. I call me elder mable

love for forty We've known each other for forty our years.

You know, we've been married for thirty five. You know,

we hardly call each other by name. In fact, if

she would have called me Terence, I don't think I respond.

I'm not used to receiving that from her, and she doesn't.

I never call her Meg. But while we are fighting,

I'm calling her love. Don't you see the wisdom in that.

It's a confession. It's a right confession. Here we're fighting, okay,

fighting love? Why you don't right confession? I'm stressing to

you because in my heart, the spirit is telling me

to share this. You know, time is short. Go and

tell your parents you love them. Go and tell your parents.

I'm telling you I love you because Jesus loves me.

Go and tell There's no need to fight with them,

you need you need to tell them. Why does a

God who hates sin so much be so merciful? I mean,

look at us. How many times we disappoint him, how

many times we get in the way of doing what's right,

how many times we reject him with the ways that

we say things or the things that we do, And

yet he's merciful to us. You know, God hates sin

with every fiber if he has fiber, because he is

a spirit of his being. And yet he is merciful

to us. That is love. And I'll give you the

answer now to that question. In James two thirteen, it says,

for judgment is without mercy to the one who has

shown no mercy. But mercy triumphs over judgment. God is

living his word. He is living his word. What is

his word? Say? Mercy is better than judgment. But you

want to know something, if we judge without mercy, we're

going to receive that kind of judgment back. So you

and I think it's okay not to forgive somebody asking

for trouble. We are asking for trouble. So that person

is so mean to you in the office, I'll pray

for you. If I've got nothing good to say, I

won't say anything. But I will not say I curse you,

because that's not mercy. Man. God expects you to show

mercy to whom the one who's merciful to you. God

expects you to show mercy to the ones that don't

deserve it. How do we know that we don't deserve it?

And he shows us mercy? In Matthew nine, p. Thirteen,

it says, but go and learn what this means. I

desire mercy, not sacrifice, For I did not come to

call the right just but sinners to repentance. Go and

learn what this means. I desire mercy and not sacrifice.

How many of us or not us? Okay, because we

I hear we're worshiping love. We all this, But how.

Many in the world think that they buy their way

to heaven with a lot of sacrifice?

How many in the world think that? Do you think

that's what God is interested in? You? Think God is interesting. Hey, look,

sacrifice means nothing to God. I have to say, this

sacrifice means nothing to God because God gave the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus,

you can never top that. Seriously, you get how many

of you think if you've reached the pinnacle of the

most exciting thing of your life, that anything else will

mean anything? I mean, how should I put it? If

my one desire was to go to outer space and

I achieved that? Do you think going anywhere else means anything?

You mean to say, Or go and visit England it

means anything. Or I go and visit US it means No,

I've been to outer space? How many people have been

out of space once I've achieved that? Do I am

I interested in anything else? No? What do you think

God's interest in is? In? I desire mercy and not sacrifice.

It simply means because He did the ultimate sacrifice giving

Jesus mercy is a reflection of that sacrifice. And every

time he sees his children showing mercy, he says, a

chip off the old block, a child after my own heart,

because I showed mercy, and look at them, they're showing mercy.

Don't you think that pleases the Lord. It does. How

many of us have got children. When the children do

something which we do, feel so happy and say I've

rubbed off true not. I actually tell my kids all

the time. I created songs for them, and my song

was Dad is a Genius. So I taught it to

my kids. So when my kids were very small, they

used to sing the song Dad is a Genius. So

when they sing the song, I feel good. I told

them it's a shape of the old block. It's terrible

in it. Okay, Okay, hey there your children. Okay, then

my children I get to do with them. You do

what you want me. Your children now, my children, I

teach them now. Okay, So I encouraged to be merciful,

as God is merciful. Do you know that in Collosions

three twelve it says, therefore, as the elect of God,

and who are the elect of God? We are God

elected us. There's a very important election going on in

the States now, all right, early voting has started. Prayer, pray,

Because you may think that it has nothing to do

it has everything to do with you. Okay. Therefore, as

the elect of God, Holy and beloved, Holy and Beloved,

put on tender mercy's kindness, humility, meekness, and long suffering.

This is the NKG version. But I want you to

go back to the King James version, and this is

very important. Listen to what it says. He says, put

on therefore, as the elect of God. Put on therefore,

as God's children, holy and beloved. So God's children are

holy and beloved. Why are they holy? They are holy

because Jesus blood has cleansed them. Not because you are

very good. I'm not very good. We are all not

very good. But why does God look at us as holy?

Because the blood washes us clean. And when he looks

at us, he sees us through the filter of Jesus blood. Hey,

ask the Lord to forgive you of your seeds every day.

Trust me, it's a good way to live. So when

the Lord looks at you, what does he see? He

sees somebody holy and beloved. How do you know of

your beloved Gee, he gave you, He gave Jesus to

die for you. If you are not he beloved, you're

in trouble. I'm in trouble. So we settle them. And

this is what it says. Put On, therefore, as the

elect of God, Holy and Beloved, Bowels of mercy. Bowels

of mercy. I think I got them in yellow. Next one, yeah,

see it's in yellow. There's no yellow version in the Bible.

The one I put, thank you you laughter that there's

a pitty pitty joker, pity laugh. But no, that was

that was mercy. Uh pity in action. Vowels of mercy, kindness, humbleness,

humbleness of mind, meekness, and longsud powels off mercy. I

want you to know what this actually means. It's very important. Okay,

Now it means and I'm gonna try and pronounce this

word shplunk none. Okay, shplunk none. Sounds like cling on,

but it's plunk plunk none. And it means this. It

means the inward parts, the heart, the liver, the lungs.

It means your internal organs. You know, you and I

are live and not because we've got a pretty face.

You and I are live, not because we've got muscles

like the Hulk. You and I are alive because of

our internal organs. And it says this, the heart, deliver

the lungs is a reflection of our deep emotions. God

expects us to have mercy from the deepest part of

our existence, on the very depths of those internal organs,

from what is within that mercy to come out. Did

you know that mercy was this important? Did you ever

realize that? So now when you look at people, you

won't be so judgmental. You won't be so quick to judge.

I won't be so quick to judge. I won't be

so quick to think wrong about somebody. You and I

will not be so quick to jump on the bandwagon

when somebody is gossiping about somebody else. Why Because our

inner parts, our bow will speak of what the mercy

of God is. What Scripture is saying. Before it was

saying that, before kindness and humbleness of mind, and meekness

and long suffering, he talks about mercy. Ah, the very

heart of God is mercy. Okay, let's move on. You

get what you give. In Matthew five seven, it says,

blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Now

we're getting real a bit, so we learn why it's important.

Now God is telling us something is I get with

the program. Let's get serious. Now get with the program.

You want me to have mercy in your life. You

got to show mercy. So this is a godly principle

and good to live by. In Luke six thirty seven

said judge not, and you should not be judge condemned not,

and you should not be in condemned. Forgive and you

will be forgiven. So you want to get give. You

want God to be merciful in your life. Show mercy,

you know. In Matthew nine twenty it says, go therefore

and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them the name

of the Father and of the Son and of the

Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I've

commanded you in low I am with you even to

the ends of the age. Have we ever seen this

is the Great Commission? Have we ever seen the number one?

This is an act of mercy? Do you know that

the Great Commission is an act of mercy? God wants

us to be merciful to those who do not know Jesus,

and he wants us to tell them. Guys, why do

you start with your family? Because they're the toughest nuts

to crack. Seriously, you've dealt with them. Everybody else is

quite easy. Sad, but true. Okay, And I'm not the

only one who said it. You know, Jesus also said it.

A prophet is never welcome in his own town. Jesus

himself said it, it is an act of mercy. Do

you know that the Great Commission is an opportunity to

do for others as God has done for us. For

God to love the world that he gave his only

begotten Sandy, whosoever believe in him should not perish, but

have ever last thing why we received it, Matt, So

let's make sure somebody else don't go to a christless eternity.

Even Hitler deserve to hear about Jesus, because when we

do not have an understanding and knowledge of who Jesus is,

we do crazy things, bad things. It is Jesus who

sets us straight. John Newton, who wrote Amazing Grace, How

sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me, was

a murderer, was a slave trader, was a rapist, moy

is given moys required, so he wrote a lovely song

that showed us how much of mercy he received when

he repented, what kind of a change life, And because

of that that song is for so many hundreds of

years probably the most famous song in the world. Even

unbelievers know this song an opportunity to do for others

as God has done for us. It's an opportunity for

God to do for us as we have done to others.

How do you like that? Did you ever think of it?

When we share and get involved in the works of

the Great Commission? What does scripture early on say God

does for us even as we do for others. So

this is also an opportunity for God to do for

us as we have done for others. We show them

compassion by sharing Jesus love. Do you know that is

an exhibition of a change in a man that God

is searching for. God wants to see the evidence of

a changed life in our heart, not by our words,

because he says, people praise me with their lips. What

is he looking for? He is looking for a hat

and it's lastly, a way for us to be just

like our old man, not an old man. You know

the old man is saying. It's a colloquial them for dad.

It's it is an opportunity for me to be just

like my dad, to be just like a chip off

the old block. God is looking for people who will

be a reflection of Him here on earth. And you know,

when we and I can do something like this, we

can say I'm just like my dad. I'm just like

my dad. I don't know if I'm like my real father,

I mean, my father. I don't know if I'm like him,

But people say I'm more like my uncle talk a lot. Yeah,

but it's a way for us to be just like

our father. So mercy, So mercy is even seen in

the Great Commission, guys. I believe that's why God wanted

to remind us about mercy. As time grows close, as

time grows shorter, this world needs the mercy of God,

and the only ones who will be able to help

are those of us that know and have received God's

mercy in our lives. So when we share with others,

we're going to make a huge difference and a huge

then and it's going to be good. So with that,

I hope this message has blessed you, even as it

has blessed me. There's a tough one for me to

share though, because you know, mercy is a tough one.

It's very hard to have mercy, don't you think, Because

all of us have had people hurt us, right, and

how hard is it to be merciful to those who

have hurt us? But you know what God has taught me,

And over time, I've learned one thing. It's not worth

keeping anger with anybody. Give it up. It's not worth

having bad feelings about people. Give it up. Just hey, God,

God loves us. Why do we want to have anger

towards people. That doesn't mean I need to meet up

with them and be bosom boddies. And no, it means

I don't wish ill upon them. I can pray for them.

I don't need to meet up with them. I don't

need to be friendly with them, but I still need

to love them. I still need to love them. There's

no scripture that says that Paul and pauland and Barnabasha. Yeah,

pauls ever met up again in scripture, But you know what,

they respected one another. How do we know that because

Paul took Silas again with Yeah, I think he took

He took Silas on his trips and Silas had a

relationship with Barnabas. Yeah, I hope I'm getting my scripture.
