You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Okay. Let's turn to Revelations chapter two. I'm gonna read
-
from verse eight to verse eleven. Okay, verse eight to
-
verse eleven, Okay, I'm gonna read first. The title says,
-
here the persecuted church. Okay. So the first one was
-
the loveless church. And now we're going to the persecuted church.
-
And he says here and to the Angel of the
-
church in Smyrna, right these things, says the first and
-
the last who was dead and came to life. Okay.
-
And this is a very actually a very important verse, okay.
-
And Jesus introduces himself in many various titles in many
-
forms as well, and this is one of it. Okay.
-
So in different different parts of the verses you will
-
see Jesus introducing himself slightly differently, but with a very
-
specific purpose as well. And I will tell you and
-
review to your why Jesus reviewed himself as the first
-
and the last who was dead and came to life
-
later on towards the end. Why that makes a lot
-
of sense. White. That is very important. But let's move
-
on to verse nine, and he says, here, I know
-
your words, your tribulations and poverty, but you are rich. Okay,
-
So it's a bracket here means that what it's Jesus
-
trying to let you know that counter to what you
-
actually think that you are poor, Jesus actually deems you
-
and the church actually rich. And he says, yeah, I
-
know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews
-
and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Okay,
-
and says, do not fear any of those which you
-
are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to
-
throw some of you into prison that you may be tested,
-
and you will have tribulation ten days, be faithful until death,
-
and I will give you the crown of life. He
-
who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit
-
says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be
-
heard by the second death. Okay. So let's go through
-
some of the details. Some of it I might not.
-
I might go into much, but not. Okay. So we
-
know this is the church in Smyrna. So what does
-
Smyrna actually mean? Just very quickly, how meany you knows
-
Smyrna you have it at home, you no idea, right,
-
It's actually a type of substance. Okay. In Greek it's
-
called murph. We can have a slide there. Uh you
-
know it's some people look at it at the top
-
day look like dry light chi or loango and right
-
long lane. Okay, how many you cook? Then you know
-
what I'm talking about? Okay, okay. And it's actually a
-
substance that you actually carve and you tap the tree
-
and you calve and then the sap of the tree
-
will come mount okay. And this sap is actually the product,
-
and we call mirth or smyrna. Okay. But there's some
-
unique details about this okay, okay. First of all, it's
-
very expensive. If you're comparing waight to go the same way,
-
it's actually more expensive to go then go wow, He
-
was like, whoa, the same amount one keylo is more
-
expensive than going on. Why is it so expensive? Because
-
it's only found in two places. It's found only in
-
certain trees in Yemen and only in Somalia. Okay, it's
-
very very difficent, very hard to find. And because of
-
the transport, cause everything is very expensive. It's also used
-
for incense to prepare the dead for burial. It's an
-
embalmding ingredient. It actually people don't use it to know. Hey,
-
you know, have a homes party and then you're going
-
to burn some incense on smyrna. Okay, you don't do
-
this out thinking. Okay, it's actually a special occasion for
-
mourning and for uh yeah, a loss as well. And
-
you on its own, you can't smell it. I never
-
tried it before, but that's what I read. Okay, you
-
need to It needs to be crushed or bored or
-
something so that the agents can be detected by your smell. Okay,
-
So as you read about the city, right, it's kind
-
of unique because we're talking about persecution. Why do persecutions happen?
-
And why do sufferings happen especially to so called good people,
-
especially cul to believe in Christians as well? Okay, there
-
is you know a lot of times people like that
-
is pointless. There is no point in suffering. You know,
-
God is statistic, you know, or God just enjoys people
-
seeing suffering. No, God does not enjoy suffering. God himself
-
experienced suffering. You know that God himself experience suffering. So
-
if you there's one point. There's actually there's one time
-
someone actually asked me a very good question, pastor, why
-
is your theology about suffering? You know, white people? And
-
then they suffer and then don't understand why, you know,
-
like why do I caner? Why do I lost my
-
son and my daughter? And why do I have financial
-
problems and pain? And I it's not easy thing, and
-
then there's a theology for it. But I think I
-
won't cover it here today. It's just too much. But
-
if you want, I will, I can tell it. I
-
can go through it, but I will go through through
-
a specific chapter in the book because it has to
-
be explained properly, okay, and actually explained to the person.
-
There's a reason why as well, and the person was
-
actually quite blessed. But the heart of it is that
-
suffering will always be present wherever the world of God
-
is present, and they are believers. And this is my
-
my my theme today. We are we ready to be
-
experiencing persecution like never before as well. Okay, and you
-
one of the things that you have to realize is
-
that like Smurna or like math, right, it's until we
-
get crushed that you really cannot get the Roman. You
-
get me right, you get it olive. That is, until
-
you actually crush it, you cannot get it or what
-
not to really get the essence of what you really
-
believe in. It's only until you go through persecution or
-
challenging times does your faith actually get tested and actually
-
get reviewed as well. So it's quite quite profound to
-
that this this this church is called Smyrna and they
-
are going through a persecution. Okay, but what kind of
-
persecution actually are they actually going through? Maybe you can
-
go to the next light, Okay, next one. Okay. So
-
first of all, they are very poor, okay, very poor.
-
They are marginalized, and they are slendered and betrayed by
-
the Romans and the Greeks and the Jews of light
-
as well. So now Smyrna is a slightly different city
-
compared to a lot of other cities that we covered
-
in the Book of Acts. Before you've got Corn, the
-
city of Corn efficts, we got different places as well.
-
Smyrna is like, how do I say it never exist
-
until quite recently? At that time there was actually it
-
was actually destroyed, but then it got rebuilt. But because
-
it was rebuilt quite recently, the government could do a
-
lot of planning and could build the foundation, the history,
-
the purpose to it, similar like what we have with
-
Cybergian Putrajaya. You know what I mean. Right, It's not
-
like we always have Malacca. It's not like we always
-
had Binang or like wild boar. So when you build
-
Putrajaya from the ground up and like cyber you realize that, hey,
-
the planning a bit better. You don't have flyover tree
-
for flyover over one single building. It's like, oh what
-
is going on? Okay, a bit more planned and a
-
bit more intentional history and stuff to with. So Smyrna
-
is like a Putrajaya. It's not the it's not the
-
main city, but it's a planned city. Okay. Now, so
-
you say, what does they have to do with Smyrna
-
and it affecting the Christians? Now, Smyrna because it's planned,
-
it doesn't have the religious background compared to a lot
-
of other cities. A lot of other cities they will
-
have religious background like or this city was founded by Zeus,
-
this one or there was an asteroid that failed and
-
then we have a stone there dedicating to the goddess
-
of Diana. So they have a lot of cities. They
-
actually have the history founded on that as well, or
-
maybe there was a poet who actually did this and
-
then some miracles. They always have a background. Basmana was
-
not like that, so they had no background then. So
-
when they planted, when they built that city, it was
-
planned by the Roman government and especially by the Roman
-
emperor as well. So the Roman emperor at that time. Okay,
-
there was there were two religions. One of the religion
-
was basically the worship of many deities, you know, all
-
the Jupiter, Mars, all the different gods they worship. But
-
the other religion, okay, that they actually had it is
-
what we call the imperialist cult. Okay. If you go
-
and going online, if you want to check out, it's
-
called the imperialist cult. Okay. The imperialist cult is basically
-
worshiping the emperors as gods. Okay. So they have ascended
-
from God, from from mere humans to gods, and they
-
started to build all these idols like Roman emperors. Uh,
-
you know in places as well. Now, if it was
-
in the older cities where they have a lot of religions,
-
they would not force you to worship, okay, because you
-
have other regions, they're respectful. But if you're a new town,
-
then you have no history. The main religion of that
-
town will be the imperial cult worship. Ah. Now it's
-
interesting right now, isn't it. So now the imperial cut
-
becomes the main worship. And so for that city, okay,
-
you won't see like many other other worship, but no,
-
the main worship would be the worship of Emperor. So
-
at that place a lot of times in all that
-
they know what you before you go to the market place,
-
and the marketplace is very important. You trade, you change currency,
-
you buy your food. It's not it's not like us.
-
You know, you can go to different shopping malls. Malasia
-
has so many shopings, so many gia grossers. You know,
-
for them, it's probably one main area probably to maximum.
-
Everybody goes to the same place. Everybody trades the same place. Okay.
-
So before you enter into the marketplace, so you walk
-
here and there will be a table with an altar.
-
Two things okay, so one thing it would be a
-
fire with coal, okay, a ball with coal. It's burning,
-
you know, it's not like burning at like hot. And
-
then on the side there there will be an incensible powdered,
-
get crushed powdered, okay, not the jo stick and powdered.
-
So if you come to Smyrna and you come in
-
good faith, whether you're a Jew, you're a Greek, you're
-
a room, you will come in good faith. You would
-
walk before it, take your hand pinch of an incense,
-
and you will drop it and you'll burn, and then
-
you will say, uh, this word Caesar curios meaning Caesar
-
is Lord. Okay, then you can walk in and there'll
-
be soldiers too. What you do that? Okay, this is
-
specially basically give me calling Caesar is God, Caesar is
-
Lord over all as well. Now of all the people
-
in Ismana, all the people from all the different races
-
had to do this. If you want to participate in
-
any marketplace or anything as well, all of them are
-
required to be except one group of people. Okay, they
-
had exemption. And you know who they are, who the
-
Jewish people, isn't it. Why did they have exemption? Okay,
-
of all the people in the Roman Greeks, they don't have.
-
But the Jewish people had an exemption. Okay, they had
-
a law. Yes. So what happened is that when the
-
ROMs they conquered is real, right? The Jews, they say, okay, okay,
-
you want to know, we will follow you and all
-
your tax system and whatever you want to do. But
-
there's one thing we cannot observe is that because we
-
cannot worship all the different gods you have, and we
-
cannot worship your emperor because you believe in the polytheistic
-
you have a politicistic polytheistic belief. Polytheistic meaning you worship
-
many gods. This god is one, this god is one.
-
All the gods lead to the same path. Okay, doesn't matter.
-
All the gods. Christians also can Buddhism. Okay, so you
-
go to your house and got many different gods, so
-
they feel that it's part all the same plane goes
-
to the same location, goes to the same destination. They're
-
a tell next time, Okay, that doesn't quite make sense,
-
Like okay, because you cannot just based on what you feel,
-
you have to based on what the religion claims as
-
truth as well what they what do they actually say?
-
They're not all plains go to Brisbane, not all places
-
go to New York. Imagine you're supposed to go to
-
New York, then you went to Beijing, you know, like
-
there will be the worst case scenario, isn't it. That's
-
mean he has two wings that it goes to the
-
same place, you know. Okay, So the Jews cannot do that.
-
They say, you are politistic and we worship one no
-
on your way, okay, and so they cannot do that.
-
But we will reach a compromise with the Roman government.
-
So what was the compromise. Romans will allow them to
-
not participate in any worship, but they will be able
-
to collect texts from the temple Ah the temple, not
-
in any temple, but in the Jerusalem Temple. Why is
-
there a big deal? Because every Jew had to come
-
and visit the temple during the young people day of
-
a torment to go and give their sacrifice, change their money.
-
There's a lot of money to be made there. Millions
-
of Jews come to that place from everywhere to come
-
and they can collect text from there. So it's a
-
big source of money. That is why if you go
-
to the Jewish temper. During their time in Jesus time,
-
a lot of the priests, the levites became converted to
-
become from priests to become tax collectors and Matthew was
-
actually one of them. Quite interesting. So they were tax collectors.
-
So if people hated them, okay, So there was the compromise.
-
You want to collect text, fine, but we will so
-
for us, we will never worship. So that's the compromise.
-
So you have the Romans, you have the Jews living
-
in a nice compromise and a nice piece. But then
-
suddenly came out from the Jewish community and believe a
-
group called the People of the Way, they literally called
-
the people of the Way, called the Christians. Christians come
-
from the Hebrews, from the Jewish people. They don't worship,
-
they don't they don't practice all these things, but yet
-
they can't see to agree. They don't believe. Their main
-
difference was this guy called Jesus. They don't just believe
-
in Jesus. They believe that he is the son of God,
-
which the Jewish people a majority think is heretical. You know,
-
It's like, cannot be How can God have flesh and blood,
-
How can God have a son, how can there be
-
three persons in one and all these things. So, you know,
-
so the Christians now got stuck. You know, they cannot
-
now enjoy the exemption of the Hebrew people, but yet
-
they cannot do also the practice that was enforced by
-
the Roman government as well in Smyrna. You get mean, right,
-
And so they got stuck there in between there, despised
-
by my own people, but also hunted by the local
-
authority as well. And because of that, they couldn't go
-
to the markets to buy all things. They couldn't take
-
the incent and say that Jesus is Lord. But not
-
only that, they were also afraid to let both the
-
Romans and the Jewish know what they really believe in.
-
They were so scared because the Jewish people hated them
-
so much. They were actually working together with the Romans
-
to find out who the Christians are. Oh, you're gonna say,
-
I'm saying no, it's really you're You're stuck. You know,
-
you're like a refugee, you know, in no place to go.
-
It's like you're Malaysian. You go to Australia, the loss
-
your passport, Malaysia don't recognize you. Australia is looking for you.
-
You are nobody. No embassy will accept you. You are lost,
-
You are stuck. You know, no land in this world
-
will accept you. How would you like that? Feeling. You know,
-
it's really quite scary one and not they are really stuck, okay.
-
And so because of that, there were marginalizes. Okay. They
-
accused them of many things. You know, they accused them
-
of being cannibals, Christians of being cannibals. Why because they
-
heard that, oh, the Christians drink the blood of Jesus
-
and eat the broken body of Jesus Christ. No, that's
-
why they thought they were can And you understand that
-
the Christians that cannot meet in open places, you know,
-
they couldn't meet in houses. A lot of times they
-
have to meet secluded places like the underground burial chambers,
-
you know, in the mountains and the caves. People are wondering,
-
like what these Christians were doing, you know, must be
-
eating that people are are you telling me they still
-
have the remains of Jesus with them They're going to
-
eat you know, his meat. All these things. So all
-
these things came out, I know, all these rumors came
-
out about them. Yep. Yeah, there was a lot of
-
things that they actually complain. Then then because they couldn't
-
worship all the different gods, right uh. And then when
-
the city actually goes through a poor harvest or a
-
drought or a flood. Okay, they will blame the Christians
-
because you didn't worship okay the gods. You didn't give
-
the offering and you don't even pray to the gods
-
of the Jewish people. That is why our city got
-
into all these calamities. So they blame them and for
-
everything as well. You know how it is to be
-
to filter blame for everything. Sometimes are in your own
-
families or sometimes they get blame. Hah ah, I know.
-
Financial problem all this because of you are you never
-
will high. You never started going. You chose a different
-
career path because you go to church so many times.
-
Everything you did are is wrong. You're bringing a curse
-
to your family, to the church, to do the city
-
as well. So the Christians were really like a thorn,
-
really really a thorn at that time, and so they
-
live in person. They were very poor, extremely poor, and
-
I'm talking about poor, not just like maybe you don't
-
have savings for the next month. No poor, and to
-
the extent that you don't know what to eat tomorrow,
-
and you really don't know what to wear tomorrow. You
-
only have one set of clothes and you would like
-
to have one set underwears for the rest of your life.
-
You travel, you bring like four or five pairs, isn't it?
-
But I tell you they only have one too, need
-
only one too? Neick, that's it man. You smell people
-
know a when know that you're poor, you can smell.
-
I don't know. It's really poor. So they were very poor,
-
and not only that, they don't know who to trust. Okay,
-
so maybe you can get Eddie. Can you come up? No, no,
-
I'm not talking about all this poverty. Of course, look
-
at him. He dress better than me. Man, why is
-
this a cash or? I'm gonna say, for example, you're
-
in the marketplace, right and I am I am a Christian,
-
but I am secretly a Christian. And I heard that
-
Eddie is a Jew, and I don't know whether he's
-
a Christian as well. So in the marketplace and I'm
-
hungry and I'm looking for a connection. Okay, I don't
-
know what I can trust you. The worst thing that
-
can happen is that you're going to report me to
-
the Roman government. But all these one you have to
-
pretend that you you are near me, but you cannot
-
look at me. If you look at me means you're connected.
-
Ready you could be okay, say you'll pretend you're not
-
looking at me. Okay, can you do that? Okay, you
-
pretend I'm here, but I'm not here. Okay, So I'm
-
gonna walk around. You just stand there in the marketplace.
-
I'm gonna walk to you. And what I'm gonna do
-
is that I'm gonna walk around and I'm gonna there's
-
a mat on the ground there, and I'm gonna take
-
my fee and I'm gonna draw and arc draw, and
-
then after that I will move away. And then Eddie,
-
you will look down at the floor and then you
-
will move your feet to finish the drawing by drawing
-
another arc. And then once you're done, then I will
-
come back around. Then I will look at the floor.
-
Then I was like, okay, then after that we walk away.
-
Thank you so much. Every day. That's it. Okay, you
-
know what there is that? Can you go to the snide?
-
You know what I might drawing on the floor. I'm
-
drawing the symbol of the fish. I'm telling Eddie there,
-
I'm hungry for fish and skidding we're having fish for lunch. Okay, No,
-
that's not the point. This was the symbol that actually
-
they drew. So if I would draw first one arc
-
the talp okay, testing, okay, then if any is of
-
good faith or the same belief, he will complete it
-
by drawing the other arc. This in Greek actually means
-
this that Jesus Christ is God, He's the son of God.
-
And it's also a savior to know that I know
-
that he is actually the same believing faith as well.
-
That was how it got started. I mean, some people say, yeah,
-
it's about the five those and two fish. Yeah it
-
can be as well. Okay, but this is the original.
-
So when you every time you see this are it's
-
not so much about the fish and mortification. You actually
-
have to remember the persecution that Christians actually went through.
-
They actually have to talk in colts, you know, you
-
get mean, right, it's actually but they hang on to
-
their faith regardless of what they actually go through as well.
-
How many of you first time loardies. Okay, after luncher,
-
we're gonna do this. Okay, let's go and do the drawing.
-
People think we're paying pepsi collar and all that. Okay,
-
learn mean something here, Okay, go and learn if your
-
hold meanes Okay, secret secret leg shake. Okay, no handshake,
-
secret leg shake. Okay, Okay, let's move on. I'm gonna
-
draw to the second half ready, so the Christians and
-
your lot. But I'm gonna wrap this up by letting
-
you know that the world it's gonna the persecution is
-
gonna come. And this is all part what we call
-
the anti Christ agenda. Anti Christ is not just a person,
-
it's a movement. It is an authority. There's a power, okay,
-
and there's an agenda to it as well. It's called
-
the anti Christ agenda. So turn with me to John
-
chapter fifteen, verse twenty to verse twenty five. Okay, John
-
fifty okay, John fifteen, verse eighteen to verse nineteen. Let's
-
do this one. If the world hates you, you know
-
that it hated me before it hated you. If you
-
were of the world, the world would love its own.
-
Yet because you are not of the world, but I
-
chose you out of the world. Therefore the world hates you. Okay.
-
So you must understand that the world before they hated you,
-
they're first hated Jesus. Okay, they hated Jesus, and it
-
towards the end of the day, the end days you
-
will see that the Christians will become a thorn to
-
the world. Okay, you think that we are a blessing.
-
We do all this good world saving people, doing as much.
-
We're not perfect, far from perfect, but we are being perfected.
-
They are among us. There are also wolves among sheeps
-
as well. Okay. Also there are some of us that
-
also stumble. But we are also raised up to get Okay,
-
but and then, but yet the Christians, towards the end
-
of the day is will be what They will be hated. Okay,
-
go to the next night, they will be hated. Okay, hated,
-
and people will be suspicious of us what we do.
-
They will think that we are very exclusive. Wow, why
-
does it mean that Jesus say? Are you saying that
-
you know that Jesus is the only way? What makes
-
you Christian so much better than the rest? It's not
-
what we say. We didn't come out with it. We
-
only believe Jesus is the son of God. So if
-
we believe he is the son of God, everything he
-
says has to be true, has to been the founding
-
principles of what we believe in. So we did not
-
start that. Yes, I know it sounds offensive, but a
-
lot of things are offensive as well. You get mean, right.
-
Offensive doesn't mean that it's not true. Okay, people will
-
say that, hey why but what so it's so exclusive,
-
it must be accepting for one another. Look at other
-
nations as well. Yes, we're not there when we say
-
that we are the way, We're not looking down on you.
-
We're not saying that we're gonna put you aside or
-
anything now. But it just means that Jesus claims that
-
he is the Way, the truth and the life that
-
came from him. Now, from there you have to explore.
-
You have to ask, you have to probe, you have
-
to seek what is is what Jesus says about himself true?
-
And when you come to that point, you have to
-
put aside what you've learned, what your past experiences, what
-
your preferences. Is all have to live beside because now
-
you are entering the realm of God. Some day yesterday
-
was what I was doing, sort like a Bible devotion
-
my kids are. My kid was asking me that what
-
does holy mean? That's a good question, you know so deep.
-
Then I asked him, called this question, what's the first
-
thing that comes into your mind? We think about God
-
as holy I think about light, shining things, doing good
-
works and stuff like that. And I said, give me
-
an example in the Bible of a reaction that people
-
had to do or behave when they encountered Holy God.
-
What's one of the things that they have to do?
-
Some of them bow down, okay, the worship, But you
-
notice one of the unique things that like Moses when
-
he encountered God in the burning bush, or Joshua as
-
he is about to fight Jericho and he met the
-
angel of the commander of the Lord, what did God
-
tell Moses and josh to do take off your sandals?
-
What is taking off the sandals anything to do with holiness?
-
You said, because God likes it squeaky clean. Oh, you know,
-
God is not very particular, but it's it's still standing.
-
But why take off this the shoe? I tell you
-
this person, I mean, let me put it in another way.
-
If say you have homes, okay, eddie, you got homes
-
and you used to for example, and they all come
-
to your house, you yourself will take off your shoe before
-
you enter your house. But then people was like, oh,
-
you're so weird, and I you know, I really don't
-
want to take off my shoe again. Out I'm gonna
-
take my shoe and I'm gonna walk inside your house,
-
straight into your bedroom as well into your kitchen, and
-
do whatever I want. What would you do? Chase the movie?
-
You chase the movie? Isn't it? Get out? You know
-
why you take off your shoe before you enter into
-
someone's house. It's not about whether you realize that when
-
you enter into someone's domain ride. It's not about you anymore.
-
It's all about them. Holiness is another work for not
-
just bright and shining. Holiness means that God is unique
-
and completely set apart, that when you come before him,
-
you have to come on his term and not your
-
term completely set apart. So the taking off the shoe
-
is part of your whole being in response to God.
-
It's all about you now, I take off my shoe.
-
Sabbath is holy, pythe is holy. It's not about me anymore.
-
It's your term. It's your house. You say cannot use
-
that toilet, I'm not gonna use that toilet. You get
-
me right. You say cannot use the TV. I cannot
-
use that TV. You want to use? You get out
-
of the house. Your children want to come to my house.
-
Can play, but don't enter into my main bedroom. You enter,
-
you get out. You will do that for your own house, right,
-
You will do that of your house. Right. Somebody they
-
need to pee, but instead of being in the toilet,
-
they decide to use your kitchen sink. Because I'm a
-
human being, also, I have my own rights. You should
-
respect my right as well to be out in my house.
-
You know what I mean? Right? Oh, I feel like
-
I need to say anytime I want? Can I you know,
-
it just passed me the key. I just kind of
-
come in and someone actually asked me before he can
-
you just give me your excess call? Because I just
-
sometimes I just feel like coming to a condor and
-
do swimming in the condor, like, oh okay, Lord, give
-
me grace. How to answer this man? Really? God? Someone
-
you asked me that question. Mammy and my wife look
-
at you just like just keep quiet. No, No, I
-
don't know how to answer because people have no idea
-
because we're so focused about rights. It's not about about
-
God anymore, you see, I mean not when you come
-
before God, holiness. First of all, it's not about you,
-
what you think or what it's all about God. He
-
is set apart, and if you come before him, you
-
have to set apart yourself, your feelings, your thoughts, your
-
will apart for him. Be holy, for God is and
-
then oh yeah, so the only thing to remember cannot
-
enter do the house with your shoes. Okay, you know what
-
I'm saying. What I'm saying now, that is what actually
-
I mean, not the ful, but a very important part
-
of what holiness actually means. You can mean right, it's
-
not about you. You can you may walk, You may
-
one person you sleep with your shoes on, as well,
-
you may like to weigh one underwear and then you know,
-
just for the rest of your life. But if you
-
come to my house not on your terms, God's terms.
-
That is his domain. You give me that His dominion
-
and His glory will not be diminished by you acting
-
how you want. So it's your your house as well.
-
You will keep your order and you're maintained whatever it
-
is your children. You want to speak to my children,
-
don't do nonsense. You want to show them some funny video,
-
get out? Sure, not same thing, God, it's the same way,
-
because as well, it's very very holy. Anyway, I mean,
-
I can do a whole entire sermon series on this thing. Okay,
-
but but that's very, very very important. But you see,
-
the anti Christ agenda will twist everything to be anti Christ.
-
Everything God teaches you will be opposite. Holiness will become unholiness. Well,
-
church used to be said apart about God. Now church
-
will become eventually more and more become about men humans.
-
You're right, your preferences. You wear shoe whatever shoes? How
-
about how yeah? I mean right, then recompack this. Don't
-
get my house. You know, you know what I mean? Right?
-
Where is the word of God? You appreciate word of God?
-
Are you sure? Are you doing more on duncey? I
-
saw one before one church, I go and do American
-
football and not instead of putting the football, they put
-
American the Bible. That then can keep the Bible. What
-
is the world become? What does the world become? I
-
don't care what your agenda is. It is still the
-
house of God. God is. God is the master of
-
the house, not you. You don't have to do him
-
anything favor. We don't have to do God a favor.
-
You know. God is the master of the house. You know. Okay,
-
So this is what the world will become. Unholy. They
-
will become exclusive. They will look at us as exclusive,
-
they will look at Christians as judging. Hey, you know,
-
I thought Jesus saying say not that you're not be judging.
-
You should not have You know, you should look at
-
the plank in your eye, you know before you say another?
-
But why did God give us the thing of moments?
-
You get me right, Judging is important. I'm not saying that.
-
I'm not saying that it's judging is important in the
-
aspect is that you must couple together with grace and
-
mercy and look, first of all, not using your own standard,
-
but the standard of Jesus. The read the measurement. You
-
see what I'm saying. Now, that's what you just say,
-
by the same measure you use. He didn't say you
-
can't judge and say use the right measurement first. Ah,
-
you cannot walk in life? OI do lifeile without measuring
-
one another? People? Can you do anything? Can you go anywhere?
-
Can you do anything without measuring? Or I'm just gonna
-
go into the shur I don't care about how hot
-
the water is. You you actually measure the hot water, okay,
-
middle to perfect spot of hot temperature. You do you
-
measure everything, You measure everything, You use discernment. How can
-
you not measure anything? You sleep as well? Or two
-
o'clock ready the morning, I'm only going to get five
-
hours sleep. Cannot sleep early. You measure everything, you measure
-
as well. But it's a fair and godly measurement. But
-
when you judge unrighteously, not according to God's measurement, but
-
according to your measurement. Hey, you are evil. Hey, you
-
shouldn't do this. That's wrong because that God has not
-
given you that that the measurement, it came from yourself. Okay,
-
that's a very important thing. They will say that you're
-
a corrupt and look at all the Christians, Ah, all
-
the pastors, you know, all d a lot, they said.
-
They call it the year of exposure Mini, and then
-
only for then there are profits, so called profits outside
-
on the Christians that see I told you ready three
-
years ago, right right right right right right right right
-
right right, I tell you, well, let me give you
-
an example. And then this is very personal to me
-
because I come from a family. There's a lot of
-
power come from words. When I grew up right, my dad,
-
I do be very careful. I don't want this on
-
my dad as well. I grew up where words are
-
just unfiltered. People just say whatever they want to say.
-
They don't care about the consequences that in fact what
-
they say. So I grew up my dad was always
-
no sarcastically saying your mom is going to be late,
-
You're gonna be late? On she's gonna be late? Why
-
mom always do this? Always saying money you are, oh
-
the complain, and I always saying my dad, my dad
-
loved my company very much. And there's one time I
-
was remember I was in Singapore, I'm waiting for my mom.
-
Then I said to my dad, a mama always like
-
this one. Then my dad looked at me. See he
-
was half torn. He was half angry with me, but
-
he was also half guilty. You know those faces you
-
produce something that you never wanted, but it's your fault.
-
I became a product of that, and because of that,
-
a lot of my perception of my mom changing. I
-
couldn't draw because every time I want to know him,
-
I always have deep perceptions She's not going to do
-
this and all this other thing. You know, and it
-
happens within your family, you know, Imagine if you have
-
a son and a daughter, and you if you are
-
disciplining one son and all that, then your daughter or
-
sona younger one who's instant to say do that. Yeah,
-
I know she's wrong. Yeah she cannot do that. Like yeah,
-
I tell you. You know, the Bible says I can't
-
remember which wed. Be careful when you celebrate people fall
-
down there lest the eyes of the lords turn to you.
-
You know. Do you know that in the Book of Proverbs?
-
I need to find it. Be careful. God does not
-
delight in the destruction of unrighteous manner. This is this
-
is reading. The world does not delight. Yes, he would judge,
-
but he does not delight in anyone perishing. But when
-
people fall, you do not celebrate. You don't go online
-
and say yeah this deeper. You keep quiet. That is
-
the right measurement. You keep quiet because you have to learn,
-
rather than to go and judge less God's eye turns
-
away from them to you. How many of the how
-
many of these Facebook people A and you go and
-
write all these sort of things are what if gods
-
I turned to them? You can't mean right. I tell
-
you this, one time happened before my children say, oh,
-
something happened within the siblings, and I was scolding and
-
my son, I look at them. Why you celebrate? Why
-
you celebrate my anger burning all? How dare you're going?
-
You should be keeping quiet and protecting him. You should
-
be you should be covering them. Instead you celebrate. What
-
are you all about? You get? I mean? Right? So
-
this is what the Christians sometimes on the Christian roural community,
-
self appointed police have becoming on because they do that
-
because they haven't overcome their hearts. It's true, it's not ministry.
-
The thing is ministry, but it's not that ministry. It's
-
not that it's manipulation. They're manipulating you. If they really
-
care about you, will they walk with you in life
-
like Daddy will walk my dog. I score them, but
-
I will walk with them. Actually, some of these things
-
that happen to this past is a mercy. You know.
-
You don't realize that it's called mercy. You think that
-
all you think. I tell you when you at the
-
end of the days, that you will be surprised at
-
who are in heaven and who are not in heaven. You, hey,
-
this guy can be in heaven. Now you will be surprised.
-
I tell you, you'll be shocked. Some people. You think that, hey,
-
this fellow do very good. What did Jesus says? Be Gone?
-
I never knew you. Didn't we call out and cast
-
out demons by your name, be Gone? I never knew you. Oh,
-
you will be surprised, don't judge. Be very very careful.
-
See all these persons. Pray for them, Pray for their family,
-
Pray for restoration, Pray for people not to fall down. Seriously,
-
that's the heart you have to do. You get me
-
in right. It happens to me. That's why it's very particular,
-
very very upsetting for me, because I come from my environment.
-
I've been there before. I've been there before. So it's toxic. Okay,
-
so the world is everything is empty. Agay, let me
-
draw to a close entire hole. But I want to
-
bring up two common thinkings or ideologies that is pervading
-
into our society or maybe can started with Western society.
-
And I will show you the opposite, how opposite it is,
-
how anti it is against Christianity, and I will show
-
you the solution. The solution is not what the YouTube
-
are saying. It's not what t is saying. Okay, how
-
many of you know about the issue of abortion. Abortion, Yeah,
-
what is the known will say that yes, abortion pro abortion.
-
I'm not claiming I didn't expect to it. I actually
-
have friends who fight me about it. I'm not saying
-
that I'm ambassador, okay, but I also learned to how
-
to properly at least or biblically to look at it
-
as well. Okay. And I also understand there are a lot
-
of times the situation that the women face is very unique.
-
It's not just so straight. There are very serious health
-
issues that they should go through that we understand as well.
-
But most of the time that's like zero and zero
-
serious ero zero one percent, very rare, very extraneous. Most
-
of the time the issue of abortion comes out is
-
because of what poor choices, simple as that you can
-
understand poor choices about when poor choices comes, whether it's
-
by the women or by the man, or whatever it is,
-
whatever happens. What is our mentality? What is our UH
-
framework to think with when you go to the world.
-
The world will say that it's about women's rights, empowerment,
-
you choosing you, valuing your body. God's given you a body, man,
-
you should decide rights are important. Women has been silent
-
for so long. Ready. So if you are against that,
-
you are against women. Yeah, women, you're against God.
-
Oh.
-
Now, if you don't put anything beside this view, you
-
will look at it as if like it's very empowering,
-
it's fully supportive of the women's rights and everything else
-
true or not. Sounds very good. On sounds very good.
-
You know what, it's the opposite of abortion in the Bible.
-
Anybody want to guess eventually, earlier a bit, the opposite
-
of abortion, of the principle of abortion is actually communion. Oh, communion,
-
What has that got to do abortion? Abortion says my body.
-
I decide what's right. Communion says my body for you, Oh,
-
let's look at the chart. Abortion says it's my body.
-
I decide for myself. My body is mine, and I
-
have the right to control it because I have to
-
decide what's going to be a burden, was an inconvenience
-
and I need and because of that, the unborn it's
-
not a priority. I still get to decide to terminate
-
or terminate, could call it life or not life. I
-
get to decide. Some people will never agree, even the
-
third termer, the final umber, they will still not call
-
it a life. As well, they will still terminated. I
-
decide my body, I decide what is life. I decide
-
the future for my baby, even though they cannot give
-
any rights. Okay, that whole entire decision making is about
-
me making my decision for myself, for my future. Communion,
-
Jesus says, on my body given for you. Christ gave
-
his body selflessly for others while every one of us
-
was still a sinner baby not even born, nor even
-
a sinner. You decide or in somebody, he said, Christ
-
bore the burden of sin. He did not make a mistake.
-
We made the best thing, but he bore it. The
-
child didn't make a mistake, Yet we make the child buried.
-
Christ sacrificed his life for others, even before they believed.
-
We terminate them, even before they have a chance. You
-
see her. That's a difference. And on the way to
-
solve abortion is not by convincing that you are evil.
-
You are wrong. The way, the proper way, the only
-
way to solve abortion is true Christ. It's not looking
-
at the next person, looking at the TikTok, but it's
-
looking at what God has done. That's the mirror. You see.
-
We're going all the wrong way. You know. It's only
-
when you put beside Jesus you realize that, oh my goodness,
-
how far have we detoured. That's why without Jesus it
-
looks like very good, you know, empowering all these things.
-
How deceptive it is. You know, you get me right,
-
feel so right? Yeah, and people will celebrate you go yeah,
-
you go, lady, yeah, And then we'll put it into
-
one hydranch, one big bundle, get you to vote for them.
-
But yet Christ comes in completely opposite. It's not about
-
my right, it's about others. And when you put it
-
side by side, you realize that how far we've fallen,
-
How self righteous are now eyes we are? This is
-
the agenda of the anti Christ. Anti Christ agendas will
-
make you feel good, Make no mistake about it, Make
-
no mistake about it. It will make you feel good.
-
It will make you feel like you're the wisest person,
-
like in the garden either wise, good for food, all
-
these things. It will make you feel good, make no mistake,
-
and you will completely believe that you are doing what
-
God has called you to do. You would be so right,
-
so you would feel that you're holy. But the eyes
-
are so deceived. But you don't realize that you are
-
spiritually dead, completely dead enough. Only Jesus, who died for
-
us can make us see us as who we are,
-
can make come to the world. That's why it comes
-
in the world. He's not gonna bring peace. No, he's
-
gonna bring a division, and it's gonna cut by. He
-
don't say anything you all, just by the life that
-
he lived and the example he's gonna cut through the world.
-
What all the world says and what Jesus came to
-
give amazing. You know the world entire. Do you now
-
believe in me that there's an antire Qrist agenda? Yeah? Man, right,
-
there is an anti Christ in gender, subliminal or obviously,
-
it's all there. So when if you meet someone who
-
is like, you know, have a different belief, you're not
-
going there like have a strongly about that. No, the
-
most important thing they need is to experience the love
-
of Christ. You cannot give what you do not have people.
-
You cannot give what you do not have. We obey,
-
not because we're holier and better, we're smarter than them,
-
you know. We obey and we do and we will
-
continue in this life. It's because Jesus first gave you
-
said no. So I'm hoping when I'm teaching, I'm not
-
making us as more no judging towards the world, but
-
more compassionate, more standing in the gap that we know
-
what the need to pray. We need more of God,
-
We need more of the Holy Spirit. Someone who's making
-
it saying, God, I pray right now, I really pray.
-
Open their eyes, Holy Spirit, come right now, Come and
-
minister to them with that love. Because we know this
-
is coming from a place of lack of love. It
-
is God. You need to be in that center. You
-
need to come in there so that their whole entire
-
being and frame of decision making is completely changed because
-
of you. You know what I'm saying. The solution to
-
this world is not another one leader this and that
-
or I don't care. It's whether is Trump. I don't
-
get it, and it's not. It's Jesus. Is Jesus, Milaicia
-
need Jesus. Are you okay? For one more? They are close? Ready? Okay?
-
And you heard this thing called walkism walk Oh, I
-
call it a social cocaine. You know being what what
-
what does it actually being? What actually mean? Okay? What
-
does actually what being mean? It just means, okay, you
-
get to define everything according to what you feel, what
-
you decide what you want, okay, don't show it up
-
your head. Then you get to decide what you want, okay.
-
You live according to your your desire, your morality, your
-
identity is fluid, and nobody can tell you yes or no,
-
not even biology. Okay. Uh. And the problem with this
-
this world is not me. The problem with this world
-
is society. It's education, it's colonization. Is this race, is
-
that race, George or Wall whatever it is? The problem
-
with this world is outside. And so what you raise
-
out of this generational workism are a bunch of activists
-
who go and want to change the world because they
-
look at the world as the problem. Okay, they don't.
-
Never look at themselves as the problem. Okay, you know
-
there's a problem. Okay, Before I go, I tell you
-
a story. I got time I go. You guys, Okay,
-
I promise you this will be funny. I promise you
-
will be funny. I saw a real TikTok video, not
-
TikTok video. It's an Instagram video. Actually, I don't. I
-
don't even have a I don't. Actually I got one
-
t talk but how do you use it? Yeah, I know,
-
I go Instagram account and my son and I always
-
saw something. This lady, this American lady said this I
-
have I don't know what howld the sun? She has
-
a son and the sun is sick. But since young
-
the Sun from a very early two told the mother
-
that he believes that he is a cat, that he's
-
a cat. Yeah, yeah, from a young agent. He believe
-
it's a cat. And that really threw her into a
-
dilemma because this mother is completely confused. What she what?
-
What is her priority as a as a mother? You
-
know what I mean? Right? Is she there to affirm
-
where her parenting come from? Is it coming from her past,
-
coming from her first hurt? You can mean, right, from
-
a place she never had before, that's what I'm going
-
to give to my child, or coming from a face,
-
from what people tell her what she should be. You
-
see how everything is fluid, and she's so scared of
-
losing the sun or saying wrong. She feels the need
-
to affirm the son and reinforce yes, you are a cat.
-
You think it's funnier, that's why colle a social cocaine. Okay,
-
you think it's funny because like, why would I take
-
cocaine the drugs? But you must understand, there is nothing
-
more addictive. When you believe in the in the in
-
the world view and the personal view. That you get
-
to decide anything and people cannot say anything about you.
-
It's very power empowering. One ano, very empowering. It can
-
get you out of depression. One no, no, because you
-
can say one about you. I can say you're a
-
narcissistic person. You become the you become a person of
-
higher morale and know that's why. And you and you're like, Wow,
-
this thing in this philosophy is so powerful. I can
-
be one day, I can be he, she, we, we, majesty,
-
whatever the name you want to come with. I can
-
be your mother, can be your father, or so the
-
next day I can be whatever you want. I come
-
into your house and I say I'm your pastor, I want
-
to pray for your house, do whatever I want or so.
-
By this one, she's confused. She decided, Okay, I think
-
a good parent will affirm because she do. You don't wish.
-
Everybody is hungering for one thing. It's what hungering for
-
righteous They want to be right. But they're using their
-
own righteousness or the righteousness that the world gives to them. Okay,
-
they want to be right, they want to make a mistake,
-
they want to do the right thing. That I am.
-
I'm a good parent. But she went affirmed. So one
-
day the sun got sick forty to forty one degrees.
-
So and she played along this affirmation all the way.
-
Instead of taking him to a doctor, she took him
-
to a vat Veterinaria. No kidding, no kidding, Joelle. If
-
you're a doctor, you're a fat You got kids? I
-
bring my kid to you, doctor Joel, this my son
-
forty one degrees. Please do your what your profession, your
-
profession has trained you to do. Right now and treat
-
my son. Would you smile? If you smile, or you'll
-
be like the inside the fear. How would you do?
-
I mean, do have to answered? I'm just I'm not
-
you want to answer answer? Yeah, But this is in America.
-
By rejecting that, you can go into a lot of places,
-
so you are you're gonna get to discrimination. You're not
-
not respecting pronouns or whatever it is. It So the
-
vet was terrified. Two things. First of all, okay, he's
-
scared that by rejecting he gets south. But the second
-
thing is he's not trained. He's all entire education the
-
basis of his profession, and the lord which governs him
-
says that you can only operate on animals. So is
-
this boy an animal? So by one mother's belief she
-
has undone a whole entire education and practicing. It's that's
-
why I say, it's very powerful. It's silly, but very powerful.
-
And yet there is one single line of law that
-
can protect her. So dangerous? Are so evil? Isn't it
-
the one particular line that can protect and undo a
-
whole entire segment industry? What if I kill her? Oh?
-
But this is the line that the world goes into
-
just one sometimes, just one thing, the one exception, the
-
one thing that protects you, just like how the devil
-
tempt to Jesus, isn't it if you really are the
-
son of God? Turn this into stones into prayer. They
-
will use scripture against you people. Wakism will be the
-
same thing. They will use scripture as well. It will
-
is law and anything just like that. But yet it
-
will turn everything around. It's okay, So what does workism mean?
-
Let's go to the next line workism. Say, I identify
-
with my flesh and my world. I want to be
-
whatever I want to be. I live according to my
-
flesh and my desire. Me being born with a desire
-
for a certain inclination. That's God's fault. If I do,
-
it's just natural. If there's the case now that I'm married,
-
if I find someone attractive here tonight, I can go
-
and have extra meritor affair because following my feeling, for
-
my feeling, maybe you have a child, Oh, I can
-
take your child bringing back to my house based on
-
my feeling. So my feeling is number one and you
-
cannot overrite that. Got such a thing? Are you okay
-
with me taking your kid home with anyone? You go
-
to Gunning Highlands? There anyone who will take your ky home? Okay,
-
You'll think I have that wagged the fellow isn't there.
-
My identity is tolu be anytime I can be anything.
-
One day, I can be the lion doing Chinese to year. Okay,
-
the lion done's okay, based on perception, experience, and by feelings.
-
Next light, then I'll come back again next light. Society
-
and religion are the problem. They need to be re educated.
-
We need to change the textbook. We need more or
-
TikTok videos. We need to flood it until they become normalized. Okay,
-
it's an outward transformation. Okay, I changed the outside because
-
there's nothing wrong with me. But I don't like myself
-
what I project, and I change it. Nothing wrong with me. Instead,
-
we should celebrate. But what does Jesus says? What's the
-
opposite of warkners baptism going into the earliest night? Instead
-
of I identifying with my flesh, baptisms says, I identify
-
with Christ. Not according to me, my past, my present,
-
my future doesn't matter anymore. With Christ, it doesn't change anything.
-
What Jesus has done for me is finish. Turn to
-
your neighbor. What Jesus has done on the cross is finish.
-
It doesn't change to become chicken, cow, dog, crap. Okay,
-
thank goodness, Thank goodness. I don't want to be like
-
when I'm seventy years of my children. Now take me
-
to a seafood veterinarian or whatever it is. Not. Nothing changes.
-
Still Christ, He's died, he rose again, and I know
-
that his identity will carry me through into the next life. Okay,
-
death on my flesh. Okay, instead of living for my flesh,
-
I die to my flesh right now. Okay, my body,
-
my past, my sinful desires. Next night. Society and region
-
are not the problem. They have their own problem. But
-
my focus right now is my sin. My sin is
-
the problem. My sin is the one that I cannot solve.
-
That is why Jesus crucified on the Cross. You know
-
what I'm saying. No, it's such a big problem that
-
it has to be crucified. I don't have to become
-
an activist to change anything. Right now. Jesus has done it.
-
Now I live according to the power of the Cross.
-
You don't say how I'm saying. Oh, people are still
-
trying to change the narrative what to live for and not?
-
Now we live cross. We are clear. We don't change people. Okay,
-
it's not our transformation. It is an inward transformation. Baptism. Yeah,
-
it doesn't mean you come out or I don't know,
-
you change skin color or whatever. It doesn't matter or not.
-
It's the only thing. It's what what is insight okay,
-
and not the Worldness says there's nothing wrong with me.
-
We should go and celebrate pride. But the baptism is
-
about I repent or my old ways, and I celebrate
-
not me, but what Christ is done. I await his
-
second company. I know some people might not like what
-
I appreciate it they but I'm not the judger. I'm
-
just saying that the true way to understand antichrist agenda
-
and the world is true the lens of the Bible.
-
Do Christians really know what we believe in and don't
-
just simply intermingle. But when you do, the world will
-
not recognize you. The world hate you, will say you
-
are exclusive, you are unloving. Well not a that. We
-
just know that Jesus Christ, He's the one who died
-
for us. He's the one who loved us. The world didn't.
-
The world will chew you up and speed you out.
-
The world will not know what happens in the afterlife.
-
But only Christ did. We only follow because He gave
-
us Amen. That's the truth.
