You're listening to a message to go from ast Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Praise the Lord. I have a word for you this morning,
-
and as usual, the word comes when I go for
-
my morning walks. You know, so I shared with you
-
on mercy the last time I was here, and so
-
I say, Okay, God, now that they know what a
-
mercyful God you are, what do I share with them next?
-
Because the turnaround is pretty fast. Usually I get to
-
be on a message for about four weeks or five
-
weeks as I go to the different plants. But this
-
time I'm with a word in less than less than
-
two weeks. I needed to prepare a new word, and
-
so God, what am I to share? And he said,
-
and it came very quickly, dependency. Dependency, And I understood.
-
So I kept it fresh in my heart for all
-
these two weeks, praying and talking to the Lord about
-
it and asking what do I share about dependency? Well,
-
let's first start with the world. You and I both
-
know we live in perilous times. I've said this before.
-
Why is it that we pray for the peace of Jerusalem? Why?
-
Because in doing so, we are praying for our peace
-
We are praying for a god to look after us,
-
because when that nation is not in peace, the world
-
is in trouble. Are you aware that yesterday, I believe
-
it was yesterday Russia said this, He said it is
-
overkilled for Israel to bomb the nuclear plants of Iran.
-
Did any of you read that? Okay? One they said
-
this yesterday. The scripture says that Gog and Magog will
-
come against God's people. Who is God? God? Guess Russia?
-
Did you know that when the scripture was written, Russia
-
was not called Russia? Okay, it's called Gog. You know
-
who is Magog? Mcgog is the Persians. They're the Persians.
-
Guess who the Persians are? Iran? So when scripture was
-
saying that these people will come against God's people, this
-
was prophets many many many years ago, thousands of years ago,
-
and we see it coming to pass now. Oh, it's
-
it's really a dangerous time. Do you think that little
-
nation that the whole world is against is going to
-
allow Iran to build a nuclear plant? Do you think
-
that's going to happen? It will not happen, because if
-
they were to do that, I don't think that that
-
nuclear power would be used just to make electricityal So
-
I don't think they're going to allow it. So am
-
I telling you this to be afraid? No? You see,
-
you and I we've got our own problems. We've got
-
our own issues here that keep us awake at night. Crag. Now,
-
Oh when's that? When's that bill? Where's the money for
-
that bill going to come from? I've got this bill
-
hanging on my head and I don't have money in
-
the bank. Oh lord, I'm not well. How am I
-
going to get? You know well? Again? How am I
-
gonna get my health? We have more than enough problems
-
to keep us going. How about the floods that are
-
taking place in Militia, A lot of floods all over
-
the place right, you know, our floods are nothing compared
-
to what just happened in North Carolina, in Florida, in
-
all these places. I mean, have you seen the videos
-
where the houses are just floating down the river, houses
-
in the whole house is just floating away the wind
-
the power of the storms have come. And where is
-
our dependence? I want to read to you something that
-
the law put in my heart to share with you,
-
And I don't know how I was going to find it,
-
but he helped me find it so easily. This is amazing.
-
And even as I ready, just now I started to tear.
-
I couldn't. I couldn't hold my tears back. Let me
-
read to you, and you know what I mean. A
-
seven year old boy called out to Jesus to save
-
him before Hurricane Helene flood waters carried him away. Earlier
-
this week, Michael Dry's lifeless body was laid afar about
-
a quarter a mile away from his home in Asheville,
-
North Carolina, but his mother thinks he was saved. Nonetheless,
-
you know, I'm so proud of my son because in
-
his last moments, he wasn't screaming for me. He was
-
screaming Jesus, Jesus, save me. And then the mother heard
-
him say, Jesus, I hear you, Jesus, I'm calling upon you,
-
the boy's mother said in an interview. And instead, she
-
said he was my hero because he reached for something
-
past flesh, past human, passed anything that even grown adults
-
I think would ever reach for. My My son called
-
out to the One God Almighty, and I think at
-
that moment he was rescued. The seven year old boy
-
didn't call out for his mother or his father. He
-
called out Jesus, Jesus, save me. And then the mother
-
heard him say, Jesus, I hear you calling out to me. Dependency.
-
Who do you and I depend on? Who do you
-
and I do? We depend on the money? I read
-
recently that Steve Jobs said, better to be a pauper
-
than a billionaire in a cemetery. Guess where he ended up.
-
He was a billionaire in a cemetery. Where is money
-
couldn't do anything? You see, money can't. There is one
-
thing that money will never be able to sort out,
-
and that's life. When my sister had cancer, she spent
-
two hundred and seventy thousand dollars on supposed chaos. Did
-
it help her? No? But at the very end she said, Terence,
-
I do not know what else to do. And I
-
told her, you have done the only thing that matters.
-
Through all this problems and trials and situations. The name
-
of Jesus has not left from your lips. But you
-
are constantly speaking the name of Jesus, say in that
-
you are a winner. You see you and I think
-
we have this absurd view that if we fail in sickness.
-
The God has failed. I tell you why. It's absurd
-
Because when the devil tried to come against Job and
-
took everything from him, his wife and his child, I
-
don't know, not in his wife, his children, his economy,
-
his business, his money, his home, everything, but not the
-
name of God from his lips. And in that it
-
pleased God so much that God gave back to him.
-
You and I we miss it. We get so caught
-
up in Look, if you ask me direct, do you
-
believe in healing? Yes? I do, because scripture says that
-
everyone who came to Jesus and asks for healing, Jesus
-
healed them all that's in scripture. Am I to stop
-
believing that? No, because scripture says that this is true.
-
So why doesn't a person get healed? Well, I am
-
not God, so you're asking the wrong person, and I
-
don't have the answer. But I do have one answer
-
to sickness. Don't let it rob you from the name
-
of Jesus being on your lips, because you can suffer
-
in illness for five years, for ten years, for fifteen years,
-
for twenty years, but eternity in heaven has no comparison.
-
Because I will tell you that there are many healthy
-
people on this earth today who just might not make
-
it to heaven. So you tell me which is better. Dependency.
-
We have to be dependent on what and on whom?
-
And the notes are they coming out? Okay? Praise the Lord? Yes,
-
what ends with whom? Obviously Jesus right. In Isaiah forty
-
thirty one, it says, but they, but those who wait
-
on the Lord shall what renew their strength. They shall
-
mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and
-
not be weary. They shall walk and not fail. I
-
have said this before several times, and I wish to
-
remind you. Do not believe in this world, the world's
-
promotion of this term burn out. Don't believe it. Don't
-
believe this term burnout in your own life. I am
-
burnt out. No have the honesty to say instead, I
-
have cocked out because it is a cop out. It
-
is a cop out. You see. If you and I fail,
-
if you and I do not succeed, if you and
-
I get tired, scripture is saying there's a reason for that.
-
And I'm here not to tell you fluff. I'm here
-
not to tickle your fancy with things that don't work.
-
I'm just here to tell you the word. What is
-
the word? Say? It says those who wait in the
-
Lord children you their strength. So are you meaning to
-
tell me that if you're weak, if you're tired, any
-
of your failing, it just could be because you're not
-
depending on God for your strength. If I have to
-
believe scripture or believe you and you I can see,
-
but scripture is written in the world. Who do you
-
think I will go for I'll go for scripture. Hey,
-
how easy it is to trust in your intelligence and intelligence?
-
And I can tell you I'm surrounded by so many
-
intelligent people here. Trust me. All you guys go to university.
-
You got this degree, that degree, Masters here, masters there,
-
great GPA of four three point five three points. They're
-
all sitting in this room, all sitting in this room.
-
Intelligence to the end degree. I'm not like you. I
-
don't have that kind of intelligence. Praise the Lord. You
-
know why, because in my weakness and in my failings,
-
in my lack of understanding, I can depend on God
-
to help me. Because I'm not all that smart. You
-
find that the smartest people in the world are the
-
ones who generally take the longest time to give their
-
lives to the Lord. Why because they have to come
-
to the point first that their intelligence means absolutely nothing
-
before the Lord God. There are so many intelligent people
-
in the world today who do not know Jesus. Why
-
is that because they trust in their intelligence. They depend
-
upon their intelligence. What about those people who depend on
-
your money. It's okay to depend on your money. Hey, look,
-
if you've got it, you but you might as well
-
use it. Nah, because at seventy or eighty years you
-
have that money, that's all you're going to get. If
-
you don't have Jesus. I'm being real here, I'm being direct.
-
If you don't intend to be in Jesus's heaven, then
-
by all means, have a life filled with your money,
-
because that's all the enjoyment you're going to have. But
-
I want you to know the Bible is saying that
-
anyone who waits upon the Lord, and I like the
-
amplified Bible gives you a little bit clearer which is
-
the next life. But those who wait for the Lord,
-
And what does this word wait? It means those who expect,
-
look for, and hope in Him will gain new strength
-
and renew their power. They will lift up their wings
-
and rise up close to God like eagles rising towards
-
the sun. They will run and not become weary. They
-
will walk and not faint. So I wanted to see
-
what the context of this was. Hey, look, I've told
-
you so many testimonies about depending upon God and how
-
God gave me ideas that caused me to do a
-
lot of stuff. You want to know what it means
-
to depend on God. To depend on God means that
-
when things are not going well, you just got to
-
leave it in his hands. I don't know whether I
-
told you this test money. We were about to go
-
for a We were about to This was Saturday night,
-
and I'd gone to sleep early so that I could
-
get up early to pray for Sunday before I come
-
to church and deliver the Word that night. This was
-
about eleven PM on Saturday. I had just probably just
-
gone to sleep about ten o'clock and I was waking
-
up and the Spirit Lord says, go downstairs, go downstairs,
-
go down stairs. And I thought, I'm so tired of
-
going to get out of bed. Man, I mean, I
-
got to get up early, Go downstairs, go down kept
-
telling me that, so find me. I said, Okay, Okay,
-
I'm going to go downstairs. You know, we don't get
-
it right the first time, right, and keep on coming
-
in the year. Praise the Lord, you know. I thank
-
God that the Holy Spirit sometimes in nexus, because if
-
he doesn't magas, we'll miss a lot of things. So
-
he told me go. So I got up to go down,
-
says And when I got up, el the Mabel also
-
was not asleep, and she says, the alarm, that alarm
-
light is, you know, showing the door is not opened.
-
I was a little bit concerned and a little bit
-
afraid because it's showing the door is not open, you know.
-
So I didn't know what to do. I'm glad you're
-
going down to check. I went down to check opened
-
the light. You see. What we did was we extended
-
our porch. Let me, we extended our hall. We took
-
away the driveway and we turned the driveway into a hall.
-
So it was raining very heavily. When I opened the door.
-
It was raining in my hall. Water was flowing from everywhere.
-
It was just pouring. The the floor was flooded, my
-
sofa was wet. You know. It was it was like
-
what you say, an unmitigated disaster. Eleven o'clock. The temptation
-
was get the house in order, call up and say
-
something has happened, emergency. You won't be able to make it.
-
That's the desire, right Then Fake kicks in and says,
-
my I'm God. I have to do what God says
-
I gotta do. And Sunday is not negotiable. Pray and
-
praise and worship is not negotiable. So what I did?
-
I just took the furniture from the outside, stuffed it
-
inside the house, cleaned it as much as I could,
-
and then left it alone and say, God, please take
-
care of it. You know what happens when a sofa
-
gets wet. Usually you have to throw it away, Usually
-
not if the Lord is involved. So I just left
-
it pouring this. You can't do what you can't do,
-
So what could I do? I just took the furniture,
-
put it inside, cleaned it as much as I can.
-
Eld the mable in myself say let's go to bit,
-
let's trust the Lord. Next morning, when we get up
-
we see the furniture. Our heart is quite heartsick because
-
you know it's still soaking wet. But it's all right.
-
We just left it. We went to church. We came back.
-
We trusted the Lord. Today it's not raining in that
-
hall anymore. It's all taken care of and nothing, absolutely
-
nothing was damaged, isn't that God? I told you before
-
that I had this big fish tank. Big fish tank,
-
really huge. It's the size of a window. Okay, you
-
know what is the size of the window. Four feet
-
by three feet, right, that's the average window. So when
-
we renovated the house, I kept the window there, pushed
-
it out of the back, and built a fish tank
-
in that window. In that room it now became a
-
dining room. Put a fish tank, the big one. When
-
I got up morning, coming for service, I heard the
-
sound of rushing water. Then I said, oh, no, the
-
fish tank is gone. I could hear it was like
-
it was like, you know, it was like a real
-
So I went to the back and absolutely the fish
-
tank was just the water was just gushing out. It
-
mustn't just happened. The water was just gushing out. And
-
we all dressed already ready to go to service, have
-
to live not to be late. So I just laid
-
a hand and said, God, I have got no time
-
for this. Look after this, Lord, keep it going in
-
Jesus name, and we went to church. When we came back,
-
the water stopped two inches from the bottom. I didn't
-
lose a fish. They were all a life. And you
-
know what happened where the water was concerned. It's amazing.
-
The water traveled from the fish tank just out the
-
back door. So the rest of my house is not damaged.
-
God took care. You know what I did after that,
-
I gave the fish away, okay, and then I built
-
a showcase in that fish tank. So the thing is this,
-
God is able to take care of your city situation.
-
So I decided I wanted to know a little bit
-
more about this. So I went before In Isaiah forty
-
twenty eight says have you not known? Have you not heard?
-
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends
-
of the earth, never faints, noise weary. His understanding is unsearchable,
-
which is why you can afford to do something for
-
the glory of God, not worrying about whether your issue
-
is taken care of or not. Seriously, if I the
-
wrong decision would have been for me in both those circumstances,
-
to stay back and not honor the Lord. I can
-
tell you what might have happened. If I had stayed
-
back and not gone to church the next day, probably
-
the sofa would have been damaged beyond repair. It would
-
have cost me about seven thousand dollars, you see. But
-
that's not the way we do things. So how many
-
of you are put in situations where you have to
-
decide do I trust the Lord or do I handle
-
the situation? What is your dependency on in this world today?
-
When everything can go up in smoke in a minute,
-
where does our dependency lie? Two weeks ago, a neighbor's
-
house caught fire house just behind mine, and the best
-
part was, I wouldn't call it the best part, but
-
the most frightening part was it caught fire in a
-
place where there's no electricity wires and no access to
-
anything that should cause it to burn. It's you know,
-
the house has got like a you know, kind of
-
a roof extension that comes out like that. There is
-
no electricity wires there, there's nothing in there. It's just
-
a harmless little roof. And that's the place that caught fire.
-
So now when you drive by, you see that whole
-
place is gone. I tell you it's frightening. We have
-
to trust the Lord to look after our home because
-
we can't be there all the time. Can you what
-
about your children? Do you think you'll be able to
-
look after your children better than God? Can? Elder Mabel
-
came back to church one week after delivering. Back in church.
-
Why is that we I'm not talking about all of you.
-
I'm just talking Elder Bible in myself. Okay, Elder mable
-
in myself. Do not believe in this confinement thing. Sorry,
-
we don't believe in that. For us. We believe, both
-
of us believe that we humans, we people, are redeemed
-
from the curse. So all the issues that permeated during
-
our childbirth as a result of the fall of man
-
has now been reworked. Verse. That is our belief, That
-
is our faith, that is our trust, That is our belief.
-
The doctor said, Alana's in distress. This is my first child.
-
Alana's in distress. We have to do a c section
-
in our heart. That was not to be no, we prayed.
-
Guess what she was delivered a normal, normal, no issue.
-
Our second child, Ashley, Elder Mahble was so quiet. The
-
person in the next door bed did not know that
-
she was in labor. And here I'm telling the nurse,
-
go and get the doctor. It's happening now. You know
-
what the nurse told me, I never forget. No, she's
-
not yet ready because she's not screaming. I said, you
-
do not know my wife, trust me, go and get
-
the doctor now. She said no, no, no, no, no,
-
that's time. So you know what I told elder neighbor.
-
Let's do it ourself. Don't worry, we'll handle it. Ashley
-
was born in the bed at eleven twenty three pm.
-
The nurse came one minute later after she had been born. Shocked,
-
she turned pa. She ran in to call the doctor.
-
Needless to say, the doctor was very upset because he
-
could not charge me his doctor's feast. I had a
-
huge discount because I was only charged you know, no
-
no room room fish, there was no doctor's feast. Had
-
a huge discount. The next morning, the ladies what there
-
was a delivery, n me. I don't believe you. Then
-
I say, this lady delivered a baby yesterday here, but
-
I didn't hear anything. Your dependence on God changes situations,
-
and I tell mothers to be this day. I'm a man, Okay,
-
So you say, what do you know? I know what
-
the word of God says that you, as a mother
-
to be, are redeemed from the curse. What was the curse?
-
You shall greatly? You shall bead children in great pain?
-
But didn't the scriptures say we are redeemed from the curse.
-
So why must you go through that pain? Go and
-
take it to God and talk to him about it,
-
because when you do that, you're gonna find an answer.
-
In Isaiah forty twenty nine says he gives power to
-
the weak and to those who have no might. He
-
increases strength. Hey, guys, so you feel you're not spiritually strong?
-
What the scripture says say he gives power to the weak?
-
Does scripture say he gives power to the strong? Does
-
it say that? Scripture says he gives power to the week.
-
I can't do it, but praise the Lord you're in
-
or a miracle in your life. Lord, I am weak.
-
I can't do it. Do you know? That is my
-
prayer every morning when I pray to come and deliver
-
God's word. I say this prayer. I say, God, I'm weak.
-
I can't do it. I don't have what it takes
-
to deliver your word. But God comes through. Every time
-
you see because it's not me. I count for nothing.
-
It's God. I can't take any glory for it. For
-
every amazing thing that I've ever accomplished or worked out
-
or solved in my life, I cannot take credit. It
-
is God all the time. I know it. And you know,
-
because I know it, miracles like this keep happening again
-
and again and again and again because there's nothing stopping it.
-
There's no my my intelligence stopping it. There's no my
-
strength stopping it. There's none of those things. Because I
-
come before the Lord and I say, God, I just
-
don't know how to do it, and he helps me.
-
You know, I wanted to put a smart lock on
-
my glass door. So God's already given me the idea
-
of what to do and how to do it. But
-
elder men will say, you will not touch my glass door.
-
I don't want anything to happen to this glass door.
-
So I asked the Lord, Lord, how you know that
-
God gave me an idea? So I've got the paths.
-
I will tell you when I've done it. The last
-
part is about to arrive in my house today. The
-
last part, the last piece of the puzzle. But you
-
want to know something, God is true. And you know
-
I can see it in my head, you know, when
-
he gives me the idea, I can see all this
-
how the wiring, you know. And this is so I
-
can tell you don't worry. You won't see where the
-
wires are coming from. It'll all be hidden. Is it. No,
-
it's not me, It is God, he says. And to
-
those who have no Mighty increases strength. The most tiring
-
thing I ever did was go for this X Men
-
devotion outing we had a few years ago, and we
-
had to go up this hill. I don't know which
-
hel it was, and there was a stream of water
-
by the side, and you gotta go all the way
-
up the hill, going up the hill anyway you attend
-
go to that X Men devotion outing. The hill was
-
about two kilometers up. Seriously, I thought that one was one.
-
I was going to be carried out in a stretcher.
-
I had no more strength. Were you in that one?
-
I don't know where is this place. I know it's
-
Umpang or near Umpong or some weird place. There's a
-
you know, I know there's some shellys there and then
-
you gotta go up and then yeah, something like that,
-
and then there's places where you pull the rope and
-
go up. And my word, when I went up to
-
the top, I was gone. You know, I really was gone.
-
And I did something you guys would never do, which
-
I drank the water, because you can get leaptos pyrosis
-
if you drink from the streams. I drank from the stream.
-
Trust me. It was the coolest, sweetest water I had
-
ever tasted. I mean it really tasted good. Praise the Lord.
-
I did not get laptose pyrosis because God was giving
-
me the strength, and I made it back downstairs down okay,
-
on my own. I wasn't carried in a stretcher. I
-
wanted to pay attention to the next one. Isaiah forty
-
verse thirty. It says even the youth, even the youths,
-
shall faint and be weary, and the young man shall
-
utterly fall. We are living in a time where it
-
is so common to see people aged twenty five, twenty six,
-
thirty years old dying of heart attacks. It is no
-
longer unheard of. It is so common. Just last week,
-
less than ten days ago, I saw a Facebook post
-
o a handsome young men maybe around the age of thirty.
-
What did he die? Heart attack? Come on? Let's prophesy
-
in another scripture which says men's hearts failing them for fear.
-
This is what happens in the last days. So don't
-
rely on the strength of your youth. We are all now,
-
what's our target? Still reach out, still share, Still tell
-
somebody about Jesus. Because it is not the strength of
-
our youth that brought us this far. It was dependence
-
on God. We are some of the oldest people here now.
-
I think sixties. We're in the sixties. Alist I'm in
-
my sixties. Okay, I'm not going to ask who's in
-
their sixties, but I think there are few of us
-
in our sixties. How do we come this far? Do
-
you think it was because of our intelligence? Do you
-
think it was because of our money? Do you think
-
it was because of our health? I can tell you
-
if you talk to us and hear our stories. We
-
went through some really tough stuff, difficulties. Right. Who brought
-
us through? Dependence on God? You want to get there.
-
You're in your twenties, you're in your thirties, you're in
-
your forties. You want to reach sixties and have these
-
testimonies dependency on God. I'll read thirty one again. For
-
those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.
-
They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They should
-
run and not be weary. They shall walk and not famed.
-
But those you know what, But those means any pody,
-
anyone that's the next light, but those that wait. So
-
anyone that does this qualifies. So you are young in
-
your profession, you're young in your vocation. Trust in the Lord.
-
Depend on him and he will make it amazing. I
-
know at least one teacher. Yeah, you know what is
-
the mark of the success of the teacher, all those
-
students that are going to grow up and conquer the world. Yeah,
-
I felt that too. This like the whole building shook
-
a bit. Yeah, Hey, you and I we're going to
-
live life knowing that our only dependence is upon the Lord. Anyone.
-
So this scripture is saying that anyone, you don't have
-
to be a pastor or an elder. You just have
-
to be someone that depends on God. Like that seven
-
year old boy who dependent on God. Jesus, Jesus saved me.
-
Then to hear these words Jesus, I I hear you
-
calling me. Wow, So he died, right, you say, what's
-
the testimony in that Shadrack, Mayshake and the ben they
-
goo went into the fire. What did they say before
-
they went into the fire. They said that a god
-
will help us, and even if he doesn't help us,
-
he is still gone. Isn't that dependence? A seven year
-
old boy has taught us how to live? You know,
-
how do we live? Willing to die with the name
-
of Jesus on our lips, That's how we live. He
-
lost his life, but my friend saved, was saved because
-
when he was dying on the water in his yacht,
-
he called Jesus, help me, Jesus, save me. He said.
-
Jesus came on the water, came up to him and
-
helped him. What did he do? Immediately went to the shore,
-
left his lord, left his humanously rich life and became
-
a disciple and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. And
-
now to today he is a pastor serving the Lord.
-
So one went to meet Jesus, one was serving Jesus.
-
What's the common factor Jesus wait? So anyone who waits?
-
What does wait mean? Wait comes from this word cover,
-
which means that eagerly waits. It expects, it's expected, it's hope.
-
It's hope for those that hope upon the Lord, those
-
that expect upon the Lord, those who wait eagerly, those
-
that wait patiently. That's what this word means. This word
-
weight means all these things. So you see the idea
-
of a waiter, right, What is a way to do? Weight,
-
hand and foot. That's what a weaight is supposed to do.
-
Can I serve you with? You know? Can I get
-
you anything? Not? In Malaysia? In Malaysia, what is the
-
way to do? He practices the art of not seeing.
-
You put up the hand that hit is always the
-
other way, and then you feel it's going to turn
-
and look at you, and Jesus he's about to learn
-
you look up so you never see your hand. Tell
-
her they're practicing the art of not seeing. I'm just
-
your king here a little bit, not a lot. They
-
that wait upon whom the Lord. You know what this
-
word lord means. It literally means the proper name for
-
the God of Israel, proper name, the actual name this Lord,
-
God God three hundred and fourteen times in scripture, the
-
Lord six three hundred and ninety nine times in scripture.
-
And the lords, you and I we are the lords
-
one hundred or we belong to the Lord one hundred
-
and eleven times, the proper name for God. So when
-
you are waiting, you're not waiting on an idea of God.
-
There are lots of people who think they're waiting on God,
-
but maybe they are not. They that wait upon the
-
Lord of Lords, the King of kings. Those who expect
-
from God, remember when you now, when you when you
-
when you look at the Word, you understand those that
-
expect you want to see God work for you. Do
-
you expect from God? I mean when you come on
-
a Sunday, do you expect to hear from God? Do
-
you expect to find answers to your problems? Do you
-
see if you do that? If you expect, if you hope,
-
it'll be granted to you. So those that come and say, oh,
-
I didn't get anything from the service, there is no
-
way you can go to any service where they're preaching
-
the word of the Lord and you walk out saying
-
I didn't gain anything. If you walk out saying you
-
did not gain anything, it's not the preacher's fault. Is
-
your fault. You did not expect, you did not hope,
-
Because how can God's word be something you choose. How
-
can some of God's words excite you and some of
-
it don't? How can It's not possible? You see, for me,
-
it's very easy to tell whether something or is right
-
or wrong. You just measure it against the world and
-
you can tell. So those people who say, yeah, come
-
to church, I don't get anything from this service. They
-
tell me that. You know what, I'll say, I'm not surprised.
-
Don't be lazy. If you put in the effort, you'll
-
gain something. You put in no effort, so you got
-
what you put in. You put in no effort for belief,
-
you put in no effort for expectation, and you got
-
back nothing. So tap yourself on the back. You got
-
exactly what you wanted. I don't mince my words because
-
I'm very clear they shall renew their strength. You'll be
-
surprised what this word strength means. This is very interesting
-
because it comes from the word quark quark, which means
-
a small reptile. Yeah, probably a kind of a lizard.
-
It's in the list of creepy, crawley, unclean things. So
-
what is scripture saying about our strength? You think you're strong, right,
-
you know what is your strength? That of a creeping lizard.
-
That's what it means. Your strength is the strength of
-
an unclean, creeping house lizard. Let me make it clear,
-
we're not talking about a crocodile. We're talking about a gecko.
-
So what is your strength? Absolutely nothing, one little lizard
-
on the wall. That is your strength. What is scripture saying.
-
Scripture is saying that when you depend on God, that
-
lizard's strength is going to be something else. It's not
-
your strength that you want, It's God's strength. Another word,
-
another word for this strength is human strength. But let's
-
look at it now. Now when God renews this strength,
-
it is a human strength, but now it has grown
-
to the strength of Samson. You know this? This what
-
the scripture means, right? Our ability and efficiency? Wow, we
-
want to be efficient people? How does this happen? The
-
power of people are a king, the power conferred by God.
-
So now when you mount up, when your strength is renewed,
-
it's now being renewed with that kind of strength. Let's
-
go a little bit further. What this word strength means.
-
It also means the strength of angels. So now God
-
is imbuing upon you supernatural strength, the power of God.
-
Now you may say, what about the power of animals? Well,
-
to give you an idea, A horse is usually depicted
-
in the Bible for its majesty. The lion is usually
-
a symbol of strength, authority, kingship. The eagle, which we're
-
going to talk about in a while, or the eagle
-
is quite fascinating bird. I'll get to that in about
-
so that kind of strength, and the strength of soil
-
and produce what even soil and producer, the strength of
-
the land to be productive. This is what God is saying.
-
You throw a seed in there and it becomes a
-
tree that produces. This is exciting. It should be exciting
-
to us. It's our economy. The Bible says that He
-
will renew our strength, and we shall mount up, mount up,
-
we will ascend, we will climb. It literally means that
-
somebody who's gone down, who has fallen, who is descendant,
-
will now rise, rise and shine, for the light has come.
-
It's time to lift the name of Jesus high. It's
-
so we have fallen without it. Then the scripture says,
-
when we mount up, when we rise, when we ascend,
-
it is with wings like eagles. This is what I
-
want to get to birds. Okay, eagles. Do you know
-
that eagles? You know they are quite large birds, right.
-
Are you aware that in order for eagles to fly
-
as high as they do, they have to have powerful
-
wings and the muscles on the eagles wings are almost
-
half the weight of its entire body. God wants to
-
flex your spiritual muscles. I cannot imagine myself with muscles
-
half the weight of my entire body, because right now
-
it's one muscle the midriff. But you know, can you
-
imagine if my arms now had this weight that was
-
down here, Now they're on my arms. I look fantastic.
-
This is what scripture is saying. Scripture is saying that
-
you are going to be now supernatural, extraordinary. Scripture says
-
that you will run. You will run. You know, running
-
here means carried speedily, run like a courier runs. Those
-
days they had no male men. Okay, so when they
-
wanted to get a letter, this guy will run. He'll
-
pass the letter to the next guy, and the guy
-
will run and pass the letter. They were great. Marathonis
-
with great speed. I know some people can complete forty
-
kilometers in between five to eight hours. And the real
-
marathonists can do it in two I'm do it in
-
about ten or twelve half a day. You know that's
-
how long it will take me. But the scripture says
-
you will run like horses. Do you know that run
-
like horses? And then it says and not you should
-
run and not be What the word says and not
-
means that you cannot be. Most assuredly, you will never be.
-
You will unable to be tired. You will be incapable
-
of being tired. And this word that men don't like impotent.
-
What this word means, get married and we will tell
-
you about it. Men do not like to be impotent.
-
Scripture says that you're condition of running and you will
-
not be these things. You will not be incapable. You
-
will not be. You know you will never be. You
-
will be incapable of being what weary, becoming tired, labored, toiled, worn.
-
Now you understand why I say those people that say
-
I'm burnt out should change their language and say I
-
have coped out. I have decided not to I don't
-
want to anymore. There's more truth in that than to
-
say I'm burnt out, Because how can you burn out
-
when the God of your faith. The Lord of Lords,
-
in the King of Kings, is providing you with all
-
the supernatural strength and ability you need. And all it
-
takes is for you to expect, trust and hope in Him,
-
depend on him. You know what, The least amount of
-
things that you will do, the very least is walking,
-
because the first thing you're doing is flying in God.
-
That is your normal stance, your normal position, your normal
-
action when you depend on God is you will be flying.
-
And in cases where maybe you need a little bit
-
of understanding, you might be running. And in those cases
-
where you need a little bit more understanding, at the
-
very least you will be war king. But in no
-
power out of the scripture does it say you will
-
be standing. Bible says you will become greater. This is
-
what the word means. When you walk, you become greater,
-
You become brighter. You will be continually moving, you will
-
be glowing. You will be getting away from your past.
-
You will be growing continually. You will be marching. You
-
will be strutting. You know what is strutting. Strutting is
-
Saturday night fever. You know Saturday night fever. Have you
-
seen John Trobalta when he walks and you can't tell
-
by the way. Okay, that's strutting. You will be strutting.
-
You will be going on continually, you will be traveling
-
places you like to travel. Depend on the lot because
-
scripture says that's what this word walk means. So we
-
just thought. We just thought walk is walk, right, That's
-
all we taught. But you know, there's much more strength
-
behind the scripture, and we will not faint. So those
-
who faint, those who shy away, those who pull away
-
from scripture. Ask yourself, why become exhausted, become weary, become
-
you know, become weary, becomes weary, extremely grow weary. You
-
and I, we have no longer any excuse. Depend on
-
the Lord. That's what we have to do. We have
-
to depend on the Lord. In Proverbs six three, and
-
I think I'm ending with this. I'm going to end
-
with a few scripture right. In Proverbs sixteen three, it says,
-
commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will
-
be established. Why do you think I get all those
-
ideas because I commit my works to the Lord. Lord
-
gives me those thoughts. It's in scripture, casting all your
-
care upon him, for he cares for you depending on
-
the Lord. Is you know what saying God, it's all yours.
-
I give it to you. It's gonna be okay. And
-
the Lord says, I care for you. I'll take care
-
of it, no worries. In Psalms thirty seven five, it says,
-
commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him,
-
and he shall bring it to pass. Bring what to
-
pass your way. Philippians four six to seven says, being
-
anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayers application with thanksgiving,
-
let your request be made known to God and the
-
peace of God, which passes all understanding. Will God your
-
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Depend on the Lord.
-
Matthew six thirty three. He says, but seek first, seeky
-
first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all
-
these things shall be added to you. All these scriptures
-
speak of one thing. Don't do it alone. You can't
-
remember anything you've heard today. Just remember this. Don't do
-
it alone. Depend on Jesus for everything. And if the
-
only thing you know is to say, Jesus, save me,
-
Jesus save me. Like that seven year old boy, you
-
know what you will hear Jesus calling out your name
-
and you'll be able to say Jesus, I hear you.
