  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. I want to speak about this whole situation between the

  4. Red Sea and Pharaoh's army. And let me start by

  5. the first slight by saying to you God's promises for us,

  6. Yes and amen if you believe it's amen, and really, really,

  7. God loves us, and he really has got good promises

  8. for all of our lives. And his promises no one

  9. can change, no one can turn around, no one can disqualify.

  10. It is his promises to you. You didn't earn it.

  11. I didn't earn it, and we will never be able

  12. to earn it. But the Lord loves us and he

  13. gives us promises, promises of abundant life, eternal life, joy, health.

  14. By his stripes, we are healed, We are made whole, wholeness. Amen,

  15. without fear, because He hasn't given us a spirit of fear,

  16. but of love. You know, power, sound mind? Yeah, So

  17. a lot of wonderful promises in God's word. Let's move

  18. to the next light. But before the promise is usually

  19. the problem, before the promise can come to pass. How

  20. many of you out mature enough here to know long

  21. enough a Christian to know that it's true that God's

  22. promises doesn't come without problems, and a lot allows it

  23. because then we will focus on him. Problems are not

  24. there to destroy us. Problems are allowed by God to

  25. keep our eyes on Him before the promise is usually

  26. the problem. I'm sure you can agree with that. First

  27. Corinthians eleven twenty three has this very simple verse that says,

  28. on the same night in which he was betrayed to bread,

  29. he couldn't be more conflicting this sentence that he was

  30. about to, you know, experience this wonderful fulfillment of the

  31. promise right that he would be savior of the world,

  32. that he was chosen as the Messiah, and he was

  33. about to take bread, but on the same night in

  34. which he was betrayed took bread. So betrayal and bread

  35. hand in hand. Yeah, so promise, but it doesn't come

  36. without problems. But what's the problem? Says the next light.

  37. What's the problem? We need to identify the problem? What

  38. is it? Let me ask another question? Is the problem

  39. with God? Oh Lord? I want a son, I want

  40. a child, but you know, until now twenty nine years

  41. of marriage, but I don't have children. I love children,

  42. you know, as you can see how I spend so

  43. much time with benjis kid, you know, teaching him. How

  44. I just love children to bids, my wife loves children.

  45. But God has not seen it fit to give us.

  46. And you know, we only discover the possibility is that

  47. God has got so much for us to do that

  48. he knew that. Yeah, that wasn't part of his plan

  49. for us. And I guess if Jesus didn't have children

  50. and Jesus wasn't married, it was because the mission and

  51. purpose should come first. And if the Lord wants it

  52. to happen, it will happen. But it's not for me.

  53. But it's a problem with God. God, Why you know,

  54. why are you shure like that? God? I thought you

  55. were kind, I thought you were loving, I thought you

  56. were good. I thought you were my father. You know?

  57. Why why did you heal my mom? Why didn't you,

  58. you know, deliver my dad from cancer? God? Why you know?

  59. That'sum is the problem with God. And those of you

  60. again in this room who are mature enough, will say no,

  61. the problem is never with God. In fact, in Matthew

  62. nineteen twenty six. Nineteen twenty six is a good year.

  63. But Jesus looked at them and said to them, With men,

  64. this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

  65. So just by reading the scripture, you understand that if

  66. there's any impossibility is because of men. But with God

  67. all things are possible. So the problem cannot be with God,

  68. because with God everything is possible. But if there's any possibility,

  69. it's usually on the side of men. All right, So

  70. let's now look at Exodus fourteen eight to fourteen. All right,

  71. the problem is not with God. The problem is with

  72. our own hearts, our own minds. God wants to, by

  73. his grace and mercy, to deal with us so that

  74. we can continue to remove the very obstacles in our

  75. lives that causes us to experience the impossible, when God

  76. wants us to experience the possible. All right, some of

  77. you may know of my testimony. For the last thirty years,

  78. I've lived without a salary and yet travel the world.

  79. I have a house now. I renovated I head value

  80. the other day my house was valued because I wanted

  81. to know after all the renovations I've done. The house

  82. is quite quite old. Are the house is about how

  83. many years now? About twenty five, twenty six years old.

  84. But I bought it after ten years of staying there

  85. by the grace of God. God gave me money to

  86. buy the house. You can't imagine right how a person

  87. who has no salary can buy a house where God

  88. bought the house for him and gave me a favor

  89. with the bank who gave me a loan without needing

  90. any needing any collateral. And then from nothing, from nothing,

  91. a professional valued my house. And the professional who valued

  92. my house valued it for free. His fee was five

  93. thousand Milliar's a pastor for you. I'll do it for

  94. free because I'm actually valuing God's house. This house is

  95. the house of medical is my privilege to value this

  96. house sold. He evaluated at two point two million. So

  97. I told my wife, hey, we are millionaires, you know,

  98. from nothing. So maybe there's a little bit of faith

  99. I can share with you of how to live a

  100. victorious life and overcoming life. My wife, when she broke

  101. up with the boyfriend that she had who was a

  102. doctor many many years ago, doctor who was rich, said

  103. to her, you know, if you break up with me,

  104. you never travel the world. And she gives thanks to

  105. the Lord today that she is doing exactly that. So God,

  106. God is good. You know God is good. He he's

  107. our provider, he's our protector. Yeah, so she married a

  108. poor man. But poverty, real poverty is not in your pocket.

  109. Real poverty is in your mind. A lot, a lot

  110. of people can be very rich in their wallets, but

  111. hardly anything in their spirit. So we want to be

  112. rich toward God. The Bible says, be rich to it God. Amen.

  113. So I want to I want to share with you

  114. a few things here in Exodus fourteen. So let's read

  115. Exodus fourteen. If you have your bibles. I didn't put

  116. the scripture up because we are in the process of

  117. everybody reading your own Bible. I think some of us

  118. have been spoiled or religious look at the screen, and

  119. we got to I think the script scripture will always

  120. be on the screen, so I don't have to turn

  121. my Bible. I think I want to encourage you to

  122. do that. So Exodus fourteen, let's read verse four. The

  123. Bible says, I will harden Pharaoh's heart so that he

  124. will pursue them, and I will gain honor over Pharaoh

  125. and over all his army, that the Egyptians may know

  126. that I am the Lord, and they did so. Now

  127. it was told the King of Egypt that the people

  128. had fled, and the heart of Pharaoh and his servants

  129. was turned against the people, and they said, why have

  130. we done this, that we have let Israel go from

  131. serving us. I want you to just take a politia

  132. for a moment and understand from Pharaoh's point of view,

  133. the whole economy of Egypt will fall if he allowed

  134. the workers to leave like that. Malaysia's economy almost fell

  135. when during the pandemic the Indodesians went back, you know,

  136. the different workers went back. The construction business almost fell,

  137. the hotel business almost fell. Everybody was struggling. So a

  138. country can't let go all of them. So that's why

  139. you can imagine why Pharaoh was probably so driven and

  140. thinking to himself, what foolish. Maybe his advisers came, maybe

  141. the cabinet came and said, King, what did you do?

  142. We will die without these workers, you know, and all

  143. our restaurants. You know, there was one time, right restaurants

  144. here in Malaysia, the Mama they only had certain times

  145. where they make china because they didn't have enough stuff.

  146. So they say, okay, only these two hours, do you

  147. have roati All the other hours that same rotimate has

  148. to do drinks? Remember that, so he can create heaven

  149. in a country. So I think that's where Pharaoh's heart

  150. was hardened. And he said, I've got to pursue these

  151. guys and bring them all back by force. So verse six,

  152. so he made ready his chariot and took his people

  153. with him. Verse seven is quite unique. He took six

  154. hundred chariots and all the chariots, not just chariots, but

  155. choice chariots, and all the charitots of Egypt. I wonder

  156. why king would bring his whole army against a people

  157. who are weak and harmless and weaponless. You know, I

  158. think even if they brought a hundred to Copdio, but

  159. they brought the whole army and captains over every one

  160. of them. Okay, Basically Pharaoh cleaned up his whole battalion

  161. and whole army and ran after Israel. Verse eight. And

  162. the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt,

  163. and he pursued the child of Israel. And the true

  164. of Israel went out with boldness. Somebody say boldness. That's

  165. verse eight. So the Egyptians pursued them all the horses

  166. and charots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, his army, and overtook them,

  167. camping by a p beside the by the sea, beside

  168. p Hahiroth, before bal Zephon verse ten. And when Pharaoh Junior,

  169. somebody said, Junia, the Chundre of Israel, lifted their eyes,

  170. and behold the Egyptians march after them. So they were

  171. very afraid. And the Childre of Israel cried out to

  172. the lord. So verse eight was very bold, verse ten

  173. was very afraid. How does a Christian move from very

  174. bold to very afraid in two verses? We will learned today.

  175. Then they said to Moses in verse eleven, because there

  176. were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away

  177. to die in the wilderness? Wow, no graves in Egypt.

  178. Have you taken us away to die in the wilderness?

  179. Why have you so dealt with us to bring us

  180. up out of Egypt? First, chielf, is this not the

  181. word that we told you in Egypt, saying let us

  182. alone that we may serve the Egyptians. For it would

  183. have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than

  184. that we should die in the wilderness verse thirteen, and

  185. Moses said to the people, do not be afraid. Wow,

  186. very important, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord,

  187. which he will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians

  188. whom you see today, you shall see again no more

  189. forever verse fourteen. The Lord will fight for you. Somebody

  190. say amen, and you shall hold your peace. Next light, Please,

  191. why come out with such a big army. I want

  192. to remind us all this morning of Satan's strategy, at

  193. least one of his very effective strategy, and that is

  194. in intimidation. The enemy's strategy has been almost always has been,

  195. and I think will always be until Jesus comes back

  196. and takes his rightful place. Intimidation. Intimidation. He wants to

  197. make the bark louder than the bite. He wants to

  198. make Doris's fear that it might happen again even more

  199. serious than the actual stroke that she was delivered, even

  200. the very first day she added. The two planes flew

  201. into the Twin Towers many miles away from Malaysia, but

  202. those of us who watched it on television for a

  203. few months did not fly. And that's why a lot

  204. of airlines suffered. Why although it's not close to you,

  205. You were not on the plane, maybe even didn't know

  206. anybody a plane. But what happened was fear came and

  207. the enemy just knows how to get us, even though

  208. you know, whatever it is that we had experience was

  209. small in comparison to what remains in us. Are you

  210. with me? The bite can be healed in three days,

  211. but the pain can go on in your heart and

  212. mind for a long time. Are to come and that

  213. is what we need to deal with. God wants to

  214. deal with the internal, the real stuff that goes on

  215. that actually blocks us from experiencing his breakthrough. You know, yeah.

  216. The next slight says, you know, the enemy likes to

  217. make it look bigger than it really is. And the

  218. next light after that gives you a scripture. First bitter

  219. five eight, Be sober, Be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil,

  220. walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

  221. Why didn't the Bible says he walks about like a

  222. biting lion because the raw is usually more scary than

  223. the bite or the claw. But the Bible is trying

  224. to tell us, yes, he goes around like a roaring lion.

  225. But it's a raw and the raw is loud, and

  226. you know, the encouragement to all of us is, do

  227. not be afraid of the raw, and do not be

  228. afraid of the bark. Do not constant trade or you

  229. know what could be or you know what may be

  230. and uh, you know, just just continue to keep your

  231. eyes on the Lord. Uh. And if any of you

  232. are going through that even this morning, that the pain,

  233. you know, the funeral lasts for two days, but the

  234. pain of losing somebody can last forever. Yeah, And what

  235. what is it that's that's still being allowed to carry

  236. on in your minds and hearts? What is it that

  237. you know? The bite is no longer there, but the

  238. raw is still there I used to be. You still

  239. hear the raw. You close your eyes and you sleep

  240. the d You hear the bite. You know you're not.

  241. The enemy is not even near you. There's no teeth

  242. that can come close to you, because Jesus is around.

  243. But the raw is in your ear. You see. The

  244. roar is no longer outside your house. You have allowed

  245. it into your ear and the imagination can go wild. Okay,

  246. next light, how do we get from very bold to

  247. very afraid in a very short time. Verse eight, very bold,

  248. verse ten, very afraid. Well, the next light says, it's

  249. what we see. It's all about what we see. It's

  250. not just what we see, but how we see. It's

  251. not just sight but spirit. So, uh, why why did

  252. the people of Israel march out with Bondus because they

  253. saw God? Can some of you repeat to me the

  254. ten plagues? One was watered the river water turned to blood?

  255. Anyone else? Locusts? There were there were frogs, there were flies?

  256. Was there? Lies were there?

  257. What?

  258. What else were there? Well? Sorry, yeah, boils boys or

  259. boys is terrible, right, everybody getting boils all over their body.

  260. I don't think there's enough hospital to treat that. Right,

  261. Boils everywhere as bad? It's bad. And then the final

  262. one was firstborn, firstborn, firstborn, even though of the animals,

  263. firstborn died except for the people of Israel, Amen, because

  264. God covered them. The passover member pass over, the Angel

  265. of Death pass over there Israel, Israel, Israel, Israeli Holmes,

  266. because there was the blood blood, So made the blood

  267. of Jesus Christ on all of us, so that the

  268. enemy continues to pass over. Can't can't touch us. Darkness

  269. can't touch es. Sickness can't touches amen. Disease can't touch us.

  270. The blood, the blood, the blood continue, Wow, tell you

  271. is the power of the Blood of Jesus powerful, powerful,

  272. And so you can imagine right, ten plagues, God frogs.

  273. But they saw God fries. But they then saw God

  274. move a river turned to blood. They saw God move, God, God,

  275. God God. Before they left Egypt, their eyes were on God,

  276. just God. How have you know that when you go

  277. to camp, you get very excited right camp, because in

  278. three days everything is about God. Huh. You come in

  279. the bus. You know, someone is singing some Godley songs.

  280. Someone is you know, doing some God lee uh, game icebreaker.

  281. Then you're given your whatever it is uh that you

  282. should you know you're in this games group. And your

  283. games group is called by a ready godly name hopefully

  284. you know. And then then you arrive and because hallelujah,

  285. praise God broke God. And then you go and then

  286. you register to give you a God tag and and

  287. and and a God Manual. And then you go to

  288. your room. Your room is called Messiah or you are

  289. your room Your room is called you know Jesus is Lord.

  290. And then okay, all of you come for the first session.

  291. You know, you're running to God. And then the first

  292. session starts with prayer, actually welcome, Welcome in Jesus' name

  293. of God. And then you know, you got are you

  294. ready for worship? Yeah, you know, and even if you want,

  295. everybody else he's excited. So you get up. I don't

  296. know what it's all about. And then you know, the worship,

  297. you know, goes crazy. Right. The first song, you know,

  298. walk by Faith or whatever, it's old song. Okay, they

  299. doing the you know, the gott He dance, you know, uh,

  300. the Godley dance. H and and and and as as

  301. and and and then and then and then wow, you

  302. know the spirit of what moves and it's God. And

  303. then the songs are good, right, God, you are so

  304. so good. Somebody wrote that song and and and so

  305. they're all very blessed. And then they sit down and

  306. and and bless your neighbor or pray for your neighbor,

  307. and it's God. And then the worship. The preacher comes

  308. up and he's talking about the share market. No, he's

  309. talking about God. Yeah, yeah, And then there's all the

  310. call and then there's God right, and then there's tears

  311. and godlee tears and godly prayer. And then there's four

  312. or five of the calls. And then I've let lunch

  313. and then share with us what you caught from a

  314. lunchtime you're talking about God. And then the next morning

  315. very and in the morning, seven year, seven am his devotion.

  316. You've never done devotion the rest of your life except them.

  317. But because God is so much in you, what you

  318. can get up and you wank your friends and what

  319. you open your eyes, your eyeballs are still not awake,

  320. and you you know, you slap your eyebows with your

  321. socks and then your you you get a couple wake

  322. in God. Yeah, bread, breakfast, break first, you gotta share

  323. each other what you learn from devotion, God and God

  324. and God and find me at the end. You know

  325. I will live for you. I'll give my life to you.

  326. Uh you know, let us be one voice to glorify

  327. your name. You know all these Kumbaya songs and all

  328. and wonderful. I want to live. I want to die

  329. for you, Jesus. You know I'm gonna win the world

  330. for you. Hallelujah, Praise God. And then back into the bus.

  331. God again, right, you know, let's take the next two

  332. hours to share testimonies. Oh God, how can you not

  333. be going home with bondus? Right? And then you get

  334. home after six hours actually the trip was only two hours.

  335. Six hours. You go home because the tire the bus

  336. punctioned along the way down from Cameron Highlands and extally

  337. camerons always are okay, but you know, coming coming out

  338. bunks it and he has to puncture and a corner

  339. where there is no line, no connection, no connection, so

  340. you couldn't call your dad. Your dad is waiting under

  341. two to three o'clock in the morning. He's not Christian. Okay,

  342. Actually they are very nice tong Christian parents. But this

  343. one he's angry because you are the only daughter. And

  344. he's already hurt that there is a cute guy that

  345. you're like in the camp. Okay. So as a father,

  346. as a father, as a father, you you watch to

  347. see Joe will have this problem in the days to come. Ah,

  348. he will have twice twice, not just once twice. Ah yeah, okay, okay, yeah,

  349. if he buys illegal gun from dieland okay, just out

  350. okay and uh and then okay, so so, and then

  351. and then at a time when there was lines, you're

  352. coming down and look there was connection. But you're sleeping. No,

  353. you're a sleeper because so late it really is, you know,

  354. one o'clock in the morning. Took When you arrive and

  355. your father is fuming mad, fuming mad, he's having all

  356. kind of thoughts with you and a guy. He's like,

  357. you didn't call me right, And then he says to

  358. the wife, you go sleep, I'll handle this. You go

  359. to sleep, and then you're coming to the house and

  360. all you want to do is to share with your

  361. parents the next day what God has that for you.

  362. But you don't have to because He's already everything for you.

  363. And then you turn on the lights and then you

  364. get a shout, why are you so late? Pharaoh DREUNR.

  365. We all repeated that this's up. And when Pharaoh junr

  366. there are pharaohs in our lives? Right did you did?

  367. Because you were watching I walk by failure, because you

  368. saw God, God, God, God, God, God, God God everywhere

  369. you tease God. And now you're going with Bonus and

  370. Pharaoh Junior. Just two verses later, two hours data you

  371. reach it. I will never allow you to go to camp. Ever,

  372. go back to your room. Now you are what's grounded

  373. for seven days something that I don't know. Okay, but

  374. you're not so said about the seven days groundedness because

  375. you said I will give my life you got right,

  376. But you're more said that you couldn't share with your father.

  377. But what God has done, and within two days, two

  378. weeks now you're no longer in church. After two months,

  379. you know, we've seen that happen right with our own lives,

  380. with our friends. How many camps we have gone to,

  381. how many conferences and how many of the calls, and

  382. how many people saying God, I'll serve you forever and

  383. ever and ever amen? And then two months day you

  384. can't see them. Where are they? Because Pharaoh drew? Pharaoh drew.

  385. Everyone in this room has a Pharaoh. You go back

  386. to office. Let me not even continue. We've got people configure.

  387. Okaya continue, you get it. Ah, family gatherings, Huh, you're

  388. very happy before the family gather ring. But because the

  389. same auntie is there, who's asked you when you're gonna

  390. get married? Huh, the same auntie. And then you finally

  391. get married, and where you're gonna have a child the

  392. same auntie Pharaoh, Pharaoh, Oh let my people go? Who

  393. you with me? Then? Now your eyes were on God,

  394. Ma ten plagues, God, God, God, God, God, God go.

  395. Everywhere you look is God like cam like conference. And

  396. now you walk because your Why are you so bold?

  397. Because your eyes are on God? Why are you afraid now?

  398. Because your eyes turned to Pharaoh? When Pharaoh drew near,

  399. they lifted their eyes. They saw problem, they saw death,

  400. they saw that's it gone. I'm a goner. That's why

  401. a lot of times the Lord would say, keep your

  402. eyes on me, right looking and to Jesus, the author

  403. and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that

  404. was set before him and the cross Jesus look up to.

  405. Jesus were constantly being encouraged by the Lord. God is

  406. not denying that Pharaoh is coming after you. He's not

  407. denying that your dad is angry. He's not denying that

  408. your boss is not a very understanding lady. He's not

  409. denying all that. He's just saying, keep your eyes on me.

  410. I will get you through this. I would deliver you,

  411. I will save you, I will help you. Are you

  412. still with me every time you're scared? Be very honest.

  413. Your eyes got off God or a moment. It's true.

  414. Every time you're down, your eyes got off God for

  415. a moment. Every time you're depressed, your eyes got off

  416. God for a moment. Because if our eyes are on

  417. the ladder, it's very difficult for anger to come in jealousy,

  418. to come in frustration, to come in disappointment. Even if

  419. you were to come in, I cannot scale because your

  420. eyes are on You know, there was a I met

  421. many years ago. He was delivered from his drug addiction.

  422. I said, when that did happen? What? What can you

  423. remember the day, Kenneth, I remember it like it was yesterday,

  424. and it was fifteen years before that. I remember like

  425. it was yesterday because when I was crying out to God,

  426. God said, your problem is very big, He said, is

  427. drug problem?

  428. God?

  429. Nobody gets delivered from from drug problem. I've been in

  430. it for the since I was fifteen. Now I'm thirty five,

  431. twenty years And God says, my son, get up from

  432. your seat, go out to the garden. And then he

  433. went up. He says, yes, God, I'm in the garden now.

  434. And God says, look up the sky, okay, look left,

  435. look right, look fright and look back. He said, yeah,

  436. I don't know what this exercise for. But he said,

  437. how big is the sky? I can't measure it? How

  438. big is the God who made the sky? Ah much

  439. bigger than the sky? I guess. Now, compare it with

  440. your drug problem. He just cried. He got down on

  441. his knees and said, God, you are amazingly great. And

  442. when you put side by side with your problem, no

  443. matter what you're going through, it's puny small. And you

  444. know that's how he got delivered. He just had to

  445. see the greatness of God. And then he went through

  446. the He still had to go through the program, quote

  447. the ky or that, but then he went treat with faith.

  448. He went to God, you're with me. You are great God.

  449. I'm gonna go through this program. I'm gonna I'm gonna

  450. be well. I'm gonna go through this. Whatever it is,

  451. I'm gonna I'm gonna go through. I might even have

  452. to go through surgery. But God is greater than even

  453. the doctors. I might have to go through even whatever

  454. it is, bankruptcy, I don't know, but God is greater.

  455. He's my provider. I might have to go through whatever

  456. it is. I'm going through. But by God is great,

  457. greater than any army put together. It's not sight. Only

  458. guys's spirit spirit, spirit, spirit. So what you focus on

  459. only gets bigger. This is what I've learned. What you

  460. focus on, you focus on the end too long. The

  461. end looks like a monster. You focus on your problem

  462. too long, your problem looks insurmountable. You know, I've been

  463. married for twenty nine years and there were times I

  464. tell you what that my marriage was really challenged. Uh,

  465. you know, my wife knows this. I've thought about divorce

  466. maybe about seven times before in my life. And one

  467. of the challenges with a husband and wife who's ministrying

  468. in this kind of active ministry as we are, sometimes

  469. we find it we might not have a husband, We

  470. just have a bastard. Sometimes I find it I don't

  471. have a wife. I just have a co worker. It's

  472. very hard. So morning, noon and night we are, you know,

  473. same office. That's why a lot of companies don't allow

  474. people to work together and say office, not just because

  475. of secrecy or there's a there's a good wisdom for that.

  476. But if you can handle it, if you can hack it,

  477. that's why I try to. I try I try my

  478. best to. If you are working on the third floor,

  479. I work on the second floor. We try not to see.

  480. That's why pandemic broke up a lot marriages, because you

  481. so much I does every day. You need time away,

  482. you need time to then come back. At least my

  483. wife got something to say to me. You know what

  484. happened to office? I don't even say yeah, of course

  485. everything you know what I say, I go like water,

  486. you know, Oh this happened, that happened. I'm glad. Sorry

  487. now I'm I'm retired. So I spent a lot of

  488. time working from home. Uh, and I like that because

  489. my wife can come back you know today, you know,

  490. and I will say, oh, you know today, I also

  491. you know, I ate this, and I drank that and

  492. everything and that teller is about eating went on because

  493. when you're working from Homer, you know, I had chart

  494. time and added extra pulls. Anyway, okay, So so why

  495. why was I so close to thinking about divorce? Was

  496. because I started to meditate on something that you know,

  497. like for example, Uh, for example, I know how when

  498. you want an example, it doesn't come now when you

  499. don't want it was always there, tell something somebody to

  500. do with my wife not understanding something. Okay, she's not

  501. supportive or whatever it is. I uh and and I

  502. feel like, oh, why is my wife? And then you

  503. go like, hun, do people's wife? And then doesn't she

  504. know that? You know, I'm I'm having to do all

  505. this and I work very hard. You know, all my

  506. staff gets salary except me.

  507. Uh.

  508. You know, it's a hard life to live. And I

  509. start meditating on it. I start to focus on it,

  510. and actually it goes deeper, and he goes further. After

  511. a while, you lose yourself, no, and then she becomes

  512. she now becomes the person that is not understanding. Actual

  513. she's very understanding. She person that's selfish, and she's not selfish.

  514. But you let your thoughts go in, and then you

  515. might even come to places where by actually maybe we

  516. shouldn't be married. And because you know stuff like that,

  517. you know what I'm saying. So I want to encourage

  518. all of you to learn how to stop yourself from

  519. thinking further, stop yourself from going there. You know how

  520. the statement we sometimes here don't go there? All right,

  521. So let me draw towards the last lap now and

  522. let's let's let's let's let's read the next couple of slides. Okay.

  523. Exodus fourteen ten to eleven says that the turn of

  524. Israel cried out to the Lord. Then they said to Moses.

  525. Now this scripture here, the first part belongs to verse ten,

  526. the second part belongs to verse eleven. But I put

  527. them as one part because can you see that the

  528. first part is actually not wrong. We should be teaching

  529. people to seek the Lord, to cry out to God.

  530. But the second part they complain to men. When I

  531. find myself in a position whereby I'm going to God

  532. but also complaining to man, I know that something is

  533. not right. Because we are told to look to God

  534. and trust in him. But if we are in that

  535. place whereby our mouth, you know, you got sweet water

  536. coming out the same source and bitter water coming out

  537. of the same source, it shouldn't be with us Christians.

  538. But I found myself doing it a few times, and

  539. so this is what the Lord had to tell me.

  540. The next site says, when this happens, there's a clear

  541. sign that something needs to be addressed, a clear sign

  542. you either see. There's a statement here in extras we

  543. say bring everything to God. Before you bring anything to men,

  544. I'll repeat it, bring everything to God before you bring

  545. anything to men. All right, bring everything to God before

  546. you bring anything to men. So if you are bringing

  547. everything to God, but also you know, trying to confirm

  548. with men whether this is right, I think something is wrong.

  549. So a clear sign that something needs to be addressed.

  550. It needs to be a heart check. Let's now try

  551. to run this lab as quickly as we can, because

  552. I think you will understand everything I'm about to say

  553. to you. There needs to be a heart check, ladies

  554. and gentlemen, resisters, they need to be a heart check.

  555. Let's do it Jeremiah seventeen ten. And that it's found

  556. on the screen, so you don't have to turn to it.

  557. The Bible says the heart is deceitful above all things,

  558. and desperately wicked. Who can know it? Either?

  559. Lord?

  560. Such a heart? Who's such a heart? The Lord? And

  561. I test the mind? Who allows tests to come into

  562. our lives? God? Why why does he search? Why does

  563. he test? I love the scripture? When God search us

  564. and tests us, it is so that he can give

  565. to us according to his ways, according to the fruit

  566. of his doings. When the devil tests us, and when

  567. the devil does things to us. He does things to

  568. us to take away. When God does anything to us

  569. test or search, he does it to give more. No

  570. one passes Form five and go back to Form four.

  571. They pass, and they go up to Form six. You

  572. keep going higher with God. Are you still with me?

  573. So when there's a test in your life, the purpose

  574. is to pass it so that you can mature and

  575. be promoted and be blessed even more than where you are.

  576. The devil does it differently. He tests to still kill, destroy.

  577. God tests to give more, even to give every man

  578. to give, to give is the purpose for testing. God

  579. is good God. Somebody amen. So as I draw towards

  580. the last lap, I just want to give you. This

  581. is the point of what I'm trying to bring to you,

  582. and this is what God gave me many years ago,

  583. and I'll give it to you now. Between the asking

  584. and the answer is the attitude. Some of you know

  585. that I'm doing my DBA, my doctorate in Business Administration.

  586. I'm halfway through. I'm doing my thesis now, and they

  587. asked me about my topic for THESS. So I'm writing

  588. about attitude about you know, youth development and how young

  589. people need to have attitude change in their lives before

  590. they can make it in life. And I went to

  591. interview Rack and Mudha, and I realized that it's there

  592. are thirty years now. October is their thirtieth anniversary and

  593. they've spent about one billion ring it. And I asked them,

  594. are you really really happy with what the result is?

  595. Before they shoot their heir God, I don't think we'll

  596. ever be really happy. And I dug deeper and I said,

  597. you know, are you happy with the activities? They say, yeah,

  598. our activities are being well attended. I said, but what

  599. are your activities for? And the officers said, our activities

  600. are to change attitudes. I say, is that you're overarching vision?

  601. He said yeah. Everything we want to do in Rakabuda

  602. is to change atitudes and young people. I say, how

  603. is that going? We don't know, no way to measure,

  604. no way to know. I said, but you're very happy

  605. that there's attendance. Yeah, attendance is very good, but attitude

  606. we're not sure. So attitude is what God is after,

  607. because attitude will really take you far. Now listen to

  608. me as I draw towards close. This is asking God

  609. please help me. And this is the answer. Yay, God,

  610. thank you. And sometimes between asking and the answer there

  611. is a big gulf and we don't know why God

  612. is delaying, why God is taking so long. And I'm

  613. telling you this morning so that you understand it. God

  614. is after an attitude. Uh let me let me do

  615. this with with you, Selena, because you are insurance church. Okay,

  616. you can see now all right, yeah you are certainly

  617. your face changed to change to child's face you okay, okay,

  618. so so uh uh do one of those childish things

  619. about asking for uh a drink, a drink or maybe

  620. or okay, okay, what you know children in a flower

  621. to you know, tro for Okay, now demand demand you

  622. want what? Okay? Now I know what. Every child goes differently, right,

  623. what do you say? You keep going, you keep fussing,

  624. you keep oh what the I'm thirsty? Yes, but what

  625. do you say? I want water? Selena? Daddy has taught

  626. you many times, what do you say, I say I

  627. want water? Okay? As somebody's we as Christians do that

  628. actually is very easy for the father to give you whatever.

  629. He's trying to teach you attitude. Like every parent, he

  630. is trying to teach you attitude so basically that he

  631. said I taught you before it is please right, so okay,

  632. now now you're you're learning because you really want this water. Okay, please,

  633. I want water. Okay. So somebody is al so fast

  634. all right because something is like please right, how what

  635. do you have you say? Say? Probably right now, we've

  636. all gone through this before, all right, because there's a

  637. lot of stumbleness and stumpleness inside. Okay, h only a

  638. rod can take out that. Okay, all right, so here

  639. we go, so so very nicely, you touch you touched

  640. daddy's already. How many of you want touch Daddy's hat today?

  641. Touch his hat? Okay? Because it's very easy. You think,

  642. you think whatever you're asking for from God is hard.

  643. It's so easy for him to give you. Between the

  644. asking and the answer, between the asking and the answer,

  645. the answer is very easy. And you know, Sina, because

  646. I already had the water behind my back Adi Salvie's

  647. ice cream, right, And so the children take so long

  648. to say please the ice cream melting behind the fartherest

  649. back eddea, please don't let your blessing melt. So you

  650. say please say okay, So she grabs how many have

  651. you seen me with this for? And the father he's

  652. after the fatherest after something else. He's not after your pain.

  653. He's not, he's not. He's a good father. So you

  654. grabbed it, You grab it like every child will grab it.

  655. But the father holds on tightly because he's expecting something else. Right,

  656. So he goes like, now, what do you say? Okay?

  657. So she didn't get it, lot still get it. Although

  658. we've been taught before. So now then he taught you before.

  659. What do you say when someone gives you something? Please?

  660. You said it earlier, well done. You must be a

  661. long time in us. What do you say now and

  662. somebody gives it you? Sometimes? Thank you say properly? Okay.

  663. So this whole thing goes on, sometimes for weeks, sometimes

  664. for months, sometimes for years, the ice cream melting, you know, right?

  665. You with me? And what is a parent? After? The attitude?

  666. That's all because Selena and anyone else here, you understand.

  667. Once she gets her please and thank you? Right, you're

  668. set for life. You're set for life. Think about it

  669. for a moment. I can put you anywhere, send you

  670. to any uncle's house, and tie's house, school camp, wherever

  671. you get your please and you thank you writer. You

  672. are going to go far. God wants us to go far.

  673. He takes you from no order aside trip and you

  674. got all this attitude of please and and all the

  675. other stuff that thanksgiving and you know all that and

  676. all that God was the digit. The attitude is so

  677. important that sadly you go from or ask me to Singapore.

  678. Oh wow, I can Singapore trip. Then from Seopore you

  679. go further, and then you go further, and you know,

  680. and God just bless blesses you because not because you

  681. have a secret way of asking him. Oh teach me

  682. how to pray, very secret. No no, no, no, it's

  683. the attitude. And so I need to close, I know,

  684. because my time is up. But did you get me? Okay,

  685. So here we go. Let's look at five quick attitudes

  686. and then and then go home, or rather go for lunch.

  687. Number one Graves Graves. The people had grave attitude. They

  688. they they saw Graves and they said, why have you

  689. brought us out here to die? So stop being so negative. Everybody,

  690. a lot of us have negative attitudes. No matter what

  691. Malaysia does, that Malaysia will never be good enough enough.

  692. Don't do that don't do that to yourself because you're

  693. setting yourself up to my grade for no reason. Okay,

  694. look at the beautiful things, right, don't always look down

  695. on people on things or you know, make the best

  696. of it. I really have the best wife God could

  697. have ever given me. Really, but we have. We do

  698. have problems now and then, but our eyes just getting

  699. back on the Lalla. Lord, you're the one that gave

  700. me Sandra. Okay, I don't know what's happening today. Look

  701. to the Lord. Don't confess grave, don't confess death. Can

  702. I know all of you Malaysian students are Monday exam Sunday.

  703. Haven't studied your words? Should die one? Right, sure, die one? No,

  704. stop saying that. Stop saying that. When I was doing law,

  705. the Lord to me, Kenneth, I can do miracles in

  706. one hour, so you've got eight hours more to study.

  707. I can do eight miracles study. You know, some of

  708. us are so paralyzed with fear, we don't even do

  709. the very thing that needs to be done. Do you

  710. know who else was paralyzed? Peter standing on water, saw

  711. the saw the waves. Ah. He starts to sing. You know,

  712. I think he sang because paralyzed. But I think myself

  713. he's a fisher man. No, he don't know how she may.

  714. This is the first time he's seeing. Where's may. Just

  715. do what you've been taught to do. No, when you're paralyze,

  716. even though you've got three more days to study your

  717. hoe study, you're just in your room worried that you fail.

  718. I've got a fail. And somebody had to come in

  719. your room and slap you across the face and go

  720. study right number two number two? Why they said to Moses,

  721. why have you done this to us? This wire is

  722. a very very big thing in our lives. I know

  723. a lady who, at twenty five years old, still couldn't

  724. break through because at how she lost her mother. Mother

  725. died of cancer, and she's been asking God, why do

  726. you take my mom away? How can you say you

  727. are good God? How can you say say that you

  728. know that your loving father? So even though she in

  729. the church, served, went to cell group, but couldn't get over.

  730. Why why am I in exampank? Why am I serving?

  731. Why must I be on every Sunday? Why why must

  732. I be preaching every Sunday? Why you understand? Why Eddie?

  733. Why so I asked the Lord. I asked a lot.

  734. I said, Lord, why do you keep testing me with finances?

  735. You know, idiot, I don't have salary. You keep testing

  736. me finances. I had no money. You asked me to

  737. go and buy a house. Why do you want to

  738. do that? And the Lord said to me, Kenneth, every

  739. time I test you was in there testimony. I said, yeah, true.

  740. Said then why don't you want to be tested? I said,

  741. because the first four letters of the word testimony is

  742. a test, so the test must come before the tests

  743. the money. But I did, I said, God, God, you

  744. look at all these rich Christians driving me cities, bends

  745. and rose roys and test them. They look very happy. No,

  746. I cannot be very honest with you. I really, I

  747. was like me again, me again. That day the Lord

  748. asked me to give a certain amount of for the

  749. mission's pledge. It was three quarters of my bank account.

  750. Whind me again, right, And then one month later he

  751. gives him back four times more. Pray Schola hallejah. I

  752. he is it right away at the back of your house,

  753. the back of my house. I say, I'm okay with

  754. the back of my house. And she is very ugly

  755. very ugly. Okay. My neighbors probably say, wait, is this

  756. guy going to finish? I know, ten years? Ten years,

  757. and there are rods coming out sometimes say oh yeah,

  758. I've got a few lightning rods, you know at the

  759. back there, because lightning keep hitting my house. You know, yeah,

  760. lightning keeping hitting your house because you're not obeying God.

  761. So anyway, uh I you know, Okay, Okay, Lord, I surrendered,

  762. not say Lord. If you really want the renovation, this

  763. is your house, you just do it. Two hundred thousand

  764. ring It is the cost of the house in my

  765. bank account, and that I'm two thousand and eight in

  766. my bad do you know that's very far. A couple

  767. of zeros missing, A couple of zeros missing. The back

  768. is done. I'm finish it, you know, finished two thousand Okay,

  769. I'm just making a story very short to you because

  770. actually there's a lot more to that. Oh I told you, right,

  771. I told you at the camp. I told you how

  772. it was that. Okay, So stop asking why, just say

  773. why not God? Why not? Bringing on? Lord? Bringing on?

  774. I know you're a good God. Frustration number three. We

  775. told you so, but you didn't listen. Oh we told

  776. you so, but you didn't listen. Do you know that

  777. frustration can kill you. There are a lot of people

  778. who have left church because they're frustrated, because they feel

  779. that you're only listening to them. No, people have left companies,

  780. left countries frustrations. I can say, it will eat you up,

  781. and it will destroy you. It will deny you of

  782. your destiny. No, it's okay to be frustrated. But why

  783. don't you take that frustration and give it to God?

  784. Give it to God. Number four regret. It would have

  785. been better, Moses if we would have, you know, remained

  786. in Egypt. You know, regret is a very big thing.

  787. I know some people who have regretted marrying their spouse,

  788. and every day they live in misery. Some people regret,

  789. you know, my greating. Some people regret not my greating.

  790. Some some people regret I know, all kinds of things.

  791. I know some doctors who regret that being medicine because

  792. they wanted to be balleied as this. You know, I

  793. just wanted something really really north and south. Yeah. They

  794. wanted to, you know, do this and and and then

  795. they have to do this, you know. Okay, Yeah, but

  796. regret is very real. Regret it would have been better.

  797. Can you all just learn to make the best of

  798. what you have. If you're in Malaysia, make the best

  799. of what you have. Ah. If you are married, Adie,

  800. then don't don't want not to be Okay. If you're

  801. not married, then you know, stay cool and just ask

  802. God for grace. Ask God, God, you know the timing,

  803. right timing? Okay. If you have three kids that really,

  804. don't don't wish you have only two? Okay? Yeah, but

  805. if you didn't want two, pass endred and I are

  806. opened for Did you see a job on the Instagram

  807. so that the parents told us son sn I just

  808. want to let you know you adopted And the sun

  809. said always thought you and my real parents. And the

  810. parents said, yeah, we are your real parents. But someone's

  811. coming to adopt you now. Terrible. I don't love Okay,

  812. I regret Okay. Final final compact comparison comparison comparison. You

  813. know what I said, It would be having better if

  814. we were serving the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.

  815. How many in this room don't put up your hands

  816. have actually been compared before in your life? You know?

  817. Why can't you be more like your brother Why can't

  818. you be more like your sister? Why can't you be

  819. more like your cousin? He graduated from Harvard. You graduated

  820. from Harvard kindergarten and and and that's some kindergarten's name, Havard,

  821. but it's not. I don't think you with Halbard and

  822. and and and Why couldn't you get you know, this

  823. call that that that scholarship? Why could you get a

  824. better job? Why couldn't you work in sample? Why could

  825. you go and get you know, so that mummy and

  826. daddy could one day retire in Melbourne?

  827. You know.

  828. Comparison, When I went to uh New Zealand to speak

  829. for ten years, every year they caught me to speak.

  830. The first year I went, I sat among all these

  831. Caucasian guys. Okay, I was probably the only Asian out

  832. of four hundred leaders sat there, and I was good

  833. to be the speaker. But before me goes up, this

  834. guy called Russell Evans. Russell Evans was the other speaker.

  835. He goes up there and he's planet Shakers, right, and wow,

  836. they they love him to bits famous all that his jokes. Wow.

  837. So I'm looking at him going to and I'm telling myself, Wow,

  838. I wanted to burn all my notes, you know, because

  839. compared to you know, compare I'm Malaysian. I thought I

  840. knew how to speak good English. But after I hear English,

  841. mine was just England, you know, saying go on by England.

  842. Not so good, you know. And so and so I

  843. sat there, I was, I was trembling inside. I didn't

  844. show outside. How do I follow that act? My my

  845. story is not like his stories. He's got so many albums,

  846. et cetera. I known album experiment, maybe one, and that's

  847. still an experiment. So so the Holy Spirit minister to me,

  848. and I was saying, there is Kenneth Chain. They invited you,

  849. they won your stories. Don't go up there. Please, don't

  850. go up there and change your accent, you know how

  851. he sunly? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, And then yah that

  852. there would be there that would be the one for X,

  853. that's yours, okay, belongs to one of your guys. Yeah,

  854. and then you know, I mean move like move like

  855. the guy before me, you know, hit my shoe on

  856. the ground like he did. Y Just be yourself, you know.

  857. One of the beautiful things about Opera and Free being

  858. Oprah in Free, the biggest uh you know talk show

  859. holes multi billionaire was that she was herself for years

  860. and years she had a weight problem. I'm Oprah, you

  861. you judge me for the content, and the following became

  862. in the billions. People want to buy you, not a

  863. version of you, not a copy of you, be yourself

  864. because you were made in that image. Yeah, are okay,

  865. this is very very important. And so when I got

  866. over that and go like, okay, I'm good, and I

  867. tell you what I was really trying to call myself

  868. from saying louder, but sometimes the lot came out. You know, God,

  869. it's all good. Lah. Yeah, I remember one particular one

  870. was sam Monk. Sam Monk was the passer of equipershis

  871. He had to come up to me and said, passa Kenneth,

  872. very good message. I just wanted to know what was

  873. the word you were saying this now? Kennon not? Okay?

  874. What is Kendon?

  875. Not?

  876. Here in militia Kenya? What is kendon not? Do you understand?

  877. Simple English? Peasant? Last night, this is the response of Moses.

  878. And if I can be a Moses to you this morning,

  879. let me be encouragement to you. Number one, don't be afraid.

  880. Remember I told you. Fear is the one that lasts

  881. a longer time. You can't. If you can't move on

  882. from fear, you will not move on. Move on from fear.

  883. But number two, stand still. You know there's another scripture

  884. I think in some forty six verse ten, be still

  885. and know that I'm God. You know the scripture. Why

  886. be still? Because when we're not still, we will move.

  887. You know. Like someone told me before when I was

  888. praying for Passendra for three and a half years, When

  889. I was praying for Passender for trae and a half years,

  890. whether she will be the one for me? Uh, the

  891. Lord to me, he put her on the altar. So

  892. after I come to and prayer, I said, Lord, Sandra

  893. put her on the altar. Yes, Lord, yes, Lord, I

  894. put Sandra on the altar. And then six months later,

  895. Passandra introduces me to her boyfriend and I shake the

  896. boys friend's hand, course, because I was I was Passender's

  897. friend friend zone, and so I'm shaking the hand of

  898. her boyfriend. And I'm no, no, this doctor. I mean, hey,

  899. a lot, she's so good looking. A lot of guys

  900. have been lining up. They take ticket like the bank

  901. at the bank take the uh and and so I'm

  902. I'm I'm shaking the hand and I'm praying tongue made

  903. the best man win. Now he said that, no, my door.

  904. I don't know somebody he was praying, but I'm praying.

  905. I don't know why. Every time I put on the altar,

  906. you know, like another boyfriend or you know. So I said, Lord,

  907. what's going on? God says, don't worry living sacrifices. They

  908. move just every time you come this, put hand, actor,

  909. put hand author, put on. Stand still just means that

  910. don't do it your way. Have you ever had somebody,

  911. let's say they want to put maybe a pin on

  912. you stand still? Huh and you go stand still? Do

  913. you know what stands to means? To stand still? Don't

  914. run around with your own contexts connections that though dance

  915. Free has taught me this many years ago. And that's

  916. why I tell you that there just human beings to me.

  917. Don't go butter them up and lick their shoe. They're

  918. just human beings. My God is greater, all right. So

  919. it's very very important. Don't call everybody, don't have a

  920. black book, just have one book. You know, we call

  921. it Facebook because in the morning I tune into God's face,

  922. and I read his book face book stands to stand sale.

  923. How many times you tell children it's pretty cutting heaven,

  924. the knife.

  925. The knife slat the caasons is coming, and all he

  926. wants to give you is a good haircut.

  927. That's all. That's all God was to give you good.

  928. He always means good for us. But we don't want

  929. to be still, right because we know somebody, We know

  930. this guy, We know that guy, and make a call

  931. to try to be still and know that I'm God.

  932. You know, there's another scripture that says, those who wait

  933. upon the Lord shall be what's the screer. Yeah, it's

  934. a beautiful picture. Those who wait upon a lot shall

  935. renew their strength. You know why you renew your strength?

  936. Because if I'm running everywhere, then by the time I

  937. end up here, after run to everyone here asking for money,

  938. I said, for example, I come here, I'm so tired. Right,

  939. But if I wait upon the Lord, the Lord that

  940. says to me, no, go to Tim, because he's Tim

  941. ho one, He's the owner of this deep sumption. Now no, no,

  942. not just kid. So so then then is this really

  943. God's choice? Is really Tim? God's choice is really Tim?

  944. Say Tim? I don't know why I did not put

  945. you on my heart, but uh, my ministry is going

  946. through this, hey faster. I was just only praying for

  947. you this morning, blah blah blah blah blah blah. And

  948. I knew that you were going to come and see

  949. me one day, and I didn't know it was going

  950. to be today. I really got to check in my

  951. Pockaston and we're like, wow, that's easier than I thought.

  952. And then when you walk back to the center, your

  953. strength is still renew know, still got so much strength left.

  954. But a lot of people go around and asking every Tom,

  955. Dick and Harry and then they get buried sands still see.

  956. The Lord will fight for you. The Egyptians you see today,

  957. you will see no more tomorrow.
