  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. So today the title of a message is living a

  4. life that reflects the Gospel, all right, and raising God's

  5. grace rejecting sin.

  6. Okay.

  7. So when we read this portion of scripture, you know,

  8. we know that the Gospel actually called us to transform life.

  9. Okay.

  10. That is not just a reflection of faith, but a

  11. response to God's grace.

  12. Okay.

  13. So Paul's letter to Romans, especially in chapter six, you know,

  14. give us a reminder of what it means to live

  15. in alignment with God's will. So Romans chapter six wer

  16. Sunday Tree for the wages of sin is death, you know,

  17. and the free gift of eternal life to Christ Jesus. Okay,

  18. this scripture, I think we often hear about it, and

  19. especially uh you know, during Christmas or maybe during your

  20. baptism class, we always hear about this okay.

  21. So these words is a.

  22. Sharp contrast of the consequence of sin with the gift

  23. of salvation.

  24. Okay.

  25. So it challenges to consider whether our life really reflect

  26. the truth.

  27. Okay.

  28. So we need to really reflect what Christ has done

  29. for us in our life.

  30. Okay.

  31. And when we reflect upon what Christ has done for

  32. us in our life, we need to live a life

  33. that seek God's holiness. Okay, And we our life also

  34. we need to live it in such a way that

  35. inspire others to leave the same, which is to seek God. Okay,

  36. So why did I say that? You know, when I

  37. was preparing this message is such a tough message to

  38. talk about because we are here talking about sin. You know,

  39. teaching children about sin is really very easy. We always

  40. tell them that, you know, children, sin miss you do

  41. not the things, right, so all of us know that

  42. sin means we do not the things okay, Like you know,

  43. we always say that Okay, stealing, killing, you say no

  44. to mummy. You know, you trow temper and try to

  45. mummy and everything. All this is seen, Okay, very easy

  46. to teach children. But for a doubt Okay, yes, we

  47. know that sink are some of the things that we

  48. know it immediately one like for example, stealing, lying. Okay,

  49. all this we know is sein. But what I'm going

  50. to draw us to is from a different perspective. Okay,

  51. So the concept of scene can be really extract Okay,

  52. But this morning, I'm just going to bring us to

  53. the definition that from the Greek term Paul used called

  54. harmartano Okay, Okay, that means okay, there is five definitions

  55. that from the Greek word here it means to be

  56. without a share in okay, to miss the mark, to

  57. err or to be mistaken, to wonder from the path

  58. of up rightness, to violate God's law.

  59. Okay. What does it mean to be without a share in? Okay?

  60. Sometimes sin leave us cut off from God and the

  61. blessing that He intends for us.

  62. Okay. Sin isn't just an action, Okay.

  63. It also creates a barrier causing a separation between us

  64. and God.

  65. Okay. To miss the mark, all right? We know that

  66. to miss the mark.

  67. If let's say you imagine an archer trying to shoot

  68. the arrow, miss the mudmans a flight of tension, it

  69. will never go to the bull's eye.

  70. Okay.

  71. So means in this point, to miss the mud means

  72. we are falling short of God's standard. God has a

  73. standard for us to live, and when we miss the mark,

  74. it means that we fall shot of God's standard.

  75. Okay.

  76. Our target is a life that reflects God's righteousness. That

  77. is the standard okay, but sin causes us to miss

  78. it and preventing us from reaching God's given potential.

  79. Okay.

  80. To error, to be mistaken okay, it means that it

  81. doesn't necessarily lead us to poor choices. It also distorts

  82. our understanding, making earth susceptible to deception or error.

  83. Okay.

  84. It means also we see life inaccurately okay, means that

  85. we look at life based on our own less not

  86. true God's lens.

  87. Okay.

  88. To wonder from the path of righteousness means that.

  89. We derail.

  90. Right, we violates God's law, means we disregard God's authority.

  91. Okay. So it's very straightforward. We know that all.

  92. This is the definition of sin. So this morning, I'm

  93. just gonna talk about focusing on point four and point five.

  94. How we wonder away from God's law, How we wonder

  95. away from God's righteousness? Okay, So we all know the

  96. law of God actually refers to the commandment Okay, the

  97. principles and the instructions that God has given to us

  98. to guide us to live a life that reflects his

  99. holiness Okay, to reflect his love, to reflect his justice.

  100. And where can we find the law? Where can we

  101. find God's law in the Bible.

  102. Okay. The whole Bible is God's law. Okay.

  103. The scripture is his law. Why does God give us this.

  104. It's so that we have a manual to know how

  105. to live our life. His scripture is not so that

  106. to make our life difficult. His scripture is actually to

  107. help us to maintain a relationship with him. You know

  108. that from the beginning until the end, God is not

  109. there just holding a cain, you know, just wanted to

  110. punish us when we break his law. From the beginning

  111. until the end, what we found from the scripture is

  112. that He wants a relationship with us. He is seeking

  113. a close relationship with us, and he wants us, you know,

  114. to build a community then walk in accordance to his

  115. will and his purpose.

  116. Right.

  117. So that's why he gave us the law. He gave

  118. us the scripture. He gave us a commandment.

  119. Okay.

  120. So when I look at this definition and when I

  121. will look at the word law Okay. Being a teacher,

  122. you know, I always teach the children the ten commandments

  123. because that is the easiest.

  124. Law to teach.

  125. Okay, So when we look at the commandment, Now, let

  126. me teach the bigger children here.

  127. What is the first two commandments? Okay?

  128. You shall have no other gods before you before me,

  129. That's what God say. And you shall not make yourself

  130. and idle. So to simplify it, God first.

  131. No idle. Okay.

  132. So remember that because of the sto rite a sentence

  133. like me, I forever cannot remember more than two words.

  134. Okay.

  135. So God first, no idle okay. And this twol scripture

  136. is the foundation of every single thing. It's the foundation

  137. of every single decision.

  138. In our life. Okay. Why does God give us this commment?

  139. He comments us to place him above all else, allowing

  140. no substitutes, okay, in our heart, in our life okay.

  141. And that is the strongest commment and the commonment that

  142. we have to remember. And you know, in our sentences,

  143. right every time there is a but okay, God said

  144. him first, no idle.

  145. But we always.

  146. This thought the commandment we walk our life. You know,

  147. we have different priority in our life.

  148. Okay. For students, we have studies, we have exams, we

  149. have whatnot.

  150. For your working adults or adults, you know, we have career,

  151. we have relationships, we have wealth, we have personal ambitions

  152. and whatnot, and we always bring that above God. I'm

  153. not here to no point finger anyone, because why, as

  154. I point out to everyone, the finger point back to

  155. me as well.

  156. And that's me too.

  157. You know, when we walk in our our journey right,

  158. every single day, right, all these things will take over God.

  159. You know, we know, we know, we know the commandment

  160. God personal idol. But subtly, yet profoundly, we.

  161. Break this commandment and we fall into the scene of idolatry. Right.

  162. We idolize our career, we idolize our family, we idolize

  163. every single thing that we can see in front of us, right,

  164. and we break this commanment.

  165. Does that mean we don't know? This comment? All of

  166. us know, but we fail to do so right.

  167. And beyond just the commment, beyond just the law, it's

  168. the whole world of God right, just not as I say.

  169. The Word of God is so God.

  170. Given us the manual for us to build a relationship

  171. with Him, right, and it's also served as a guide

  172. to keep us aligned in all that we do. In

  173. some hundred nineteen and one nineteen and one hundred and five,

  174. it says, what the Word is a lamp to my

  175. feet and a light to my path. The word of

  176. God leaders in the way that we need to do.

  177. His word illuminates the way, shine the lights so that

  178. you know we will not walk in darkness. But oftentime,

  179. you know, if I ask you how many books have

  180. you read throughout your whole life, we will say.

  181. That, oh, oh, I've read you know how many books?

  182. Okay, self help, loud novels, LAH, school book, lah, text book,

  183. lad whatever you read from page one until the last page.

  184. But if I ask you have you read the Bible

  185. from cover to cover? I can tell you a lot

  186. of us we read, not that we didn't read, but

  187. not from cover to cover. I myself included, because I

  188. do skip certain book that I've like, read few pages two,

  189. difficult to understand, I skip.

  190. Okay, But we need to read it. Nonetheless, we need

  191. to read it none the.

  192. Less because if we don't read it, we don't see

  193. God to his word.

  194. We will stray from the word. All right, We will

  195. stray from the word, and in the end, what happened,

  196. we will miss the mark? All right? That is okay,

  197. what we want to talk about the law of God.

  198. We straying away. We wander away from the law, from

  199. the word of God. So this morning, let's take a

  200. moment to reflect our own life. Now, let ourselves is

  201. God truly first in every area.

  202. Of our life?

  203. Has there been any moment of our life that we

  204. have wandered away from His word or missed the mark?

  205. You know, it's really one thing that we say that,

  206. you know, Lord, we are devoted to you. But it's also.

  207. Another thing to really live it out in a tangible ways. Okay,

  208. a lot of times we say that, don't give lip services.

  209. We need to live it out right, So start to

  210. consider the weariest aspect of our own life.

  211. All right, we have we.

  212. Really stray away from God? Have we really put God

  213. first in our study, in our world, in our relationship,

  214. in our finances, in our family?

  215. Right?

  216. Have we really fully surrendered all this area of our

  217. life to God's authority? Or have they taken God's place

  218. and became an idol in our life? You know, it's

  219. very easy to make all this area of our life

  220. as idle. Sometimes we really need to be very careful.

  221. When we caught ourselves saying this, Lord, I'm sure you understand.

  222. God understand, but what his commonments say him first, not

  223. any other thing. Right, So we are living in a

  224. world that is competing with a lot of competing demands. Okay,

  225. demands are all up down, left, left, right, and we

  226. are easy to fall into distractions. And it's very easy

  227. for us to part God somewhere else because while we

  228. always say that God, I'm sure you understand what I'm

  229. going through.

  230. No, God, you take a back seat. No God, you wait. Lah.

  231. You know, God, my boss said that if I don't

  232. finish this work, you know, I will be fired. So God,

  233. my time, devotion. If you have to wait, maybe I

  234. need you tomorrow or God. You know a lot of

  235. times we do that, Okay, we age God out. So

  236. as a believer, we need to every day examine our heart.

  237. Where is God? Okay?

  238. So we need to examine and we need to ensure

  239. that God remained at the center of every part of

  240. our life.

  241. Okay.

  242. So do remember that God is always there to invite

  243. us deeper into relationship.

  244. Okay.

  245. So when we look at Jeremiah the one word the Tree,

  246. God says this, but this is the covenant that I

  247. will make with the House of Israel. After those days,

  248. says the Lord, I will put my Lord in their

  249. mind and write it on their heart.

  250. And I will be their God and they shall be

  251. my people.

  252. So in this scripture, it reminds us what God is

  253. inviting us into a deeper relationship with Him and a

  254. covenant where His law is no longer just written on

  255. a tablet or a stone, but it is inscribed in

  256. our heart. How can this word be inscribed in our

  257. heart if we don't meditate on the world that He

  258. has given to us. You know, when we don't meditate,

  259. when we don't spend time with God. Whatever God going

  260. to put in your heart right, you will like, are

  261. you sure?

  262. Are you sure?

  263. God?

  264. That is what you're saying? Are you sure? This is

  265. the Lord that I'm supposed to follow?

  266. Right?

  267. So that's why I always come back to the Word.

  268. That's why what I wanted to encourage all of us

  269. here this morning is that hold on.

  270. Type to this word of God.

  271. I know that when we read the Word of God right,

  272. that it's one thousand and one Lord inside there. And

  273. you will say that, oh, I'm such a failure. I

  274. feel that I feel every single Lord that God has given.

  275. But this morning, what I'm going to tell you is

  276. that while that is Lord to help us to walk

  277. in alignment, God has given us his grace to Christ Jesus.

  278. You know, Christ has died for us so that our

  279. sin can be forgiven. So all we need to do

  280. is to constantly pray and the Holy Spirit were guidess.

  281. Okay.

  282. So in this relationship, do remember that our obedience to

  283. the word of God should not be driven by the

  284. fear of the law, okay, but by the love towards him.

  285. If you love God, you follow his voice. If you

  286. love God, you follow his commonments. If you love God,

  287. you do what he called you to do. Always remember

  288. that you don't say that I obey the commonment because

  289. I scared I will get lightning strike. No, I obey

  290. the commonments because that is what God says. So because

  291. you love Him, you do what he tells you to do, Okay.

  292. And it is not out of obligation, but it is

  293. out of your devotion towards God.

  294. Okay. So let me share with you. Okay.

  295. I would say that this is a very funny moment okay,

  296. because this question is usually what we will ask the kids.

  297. Okay. But the funniest part is this is asked by

  298. my husband. Okay.

  299. So last week he had to go through a one

  300. hundred mc q open book test for the Royal Ranger

  301. Ministry that he was in. Okay, so he was so stressed.

  302. Ah wait, he said that I need to finish this

  303. one hundred question. And then me being me, I'm like

  304. one hundred question in MA is one day or so, okay, finish.

  305. But he is not a study kind of person. So

  306. one hundred m to him if he was a one

  307. million questions to him. Okay, So he was so stressed.

  308. He was doing his question and he said that to

  309. pass the test he has to score ninety five and

  310. a birth. Then now I understand why he's so stressed.

  311. But then I look at him. I say, by his

  312. open book, ma hiyah, easy, Lia, you just go go

  313. ahead check in the book that you can find. Then

  314. he said that the question is not so straightforward. Okay

  315. that I say, okay, never mind, go and do your question.

  316. So while he was doing halfway, then he like, I

  317. need help, Okay, what help? I need you to confirm

  318. one question one answer for me? Yeah, I say, you

  319. asked me here about Royal Rangers. I know nuts about

  320. Orangeress because I'm not in the ministry.

  321. Back when I was in the previous church, I say,

  322. how would I know what does your royal rangers mean?

  323. Ask me to start a bonfire? I cannot ask me

  324. to tie the scout rope. I cannot you ask me

  325. for what? He said, No, there's nothing to do with orangers.

  326. But it's a general knowledge that say, okaykay, you asked

  327. what's the question? So he started taking out his paper

  328. and then he read the question and the question goal

  329. like this, in juggling between life, work and ministry, what

  330. should you focus on? Then he looked at me. Then okay,

  331. what will you answer me? In juggling between life, work

  332. and ministry?

  333. What should you focus on? Before I give you the choices? Nod?

  334. Okay, so what I want because I just came back

  335. from workman, so I was, I'm packing and then he

  336. gave me the questions.

  337. I just don't do him godlived, who else? I just

  338. answer him. Now he's like, oh okay. Then he started

  339. as a girl there. I look at him, correct answer.

  340. Then I asked him what are the choices that you

  341. have in your in your you know, in your MC question?

  342. Then he started naming that, Oh okay, the part of

  343. the answer is God, family, ministry, and.

  344. That I didn't let him finish the whole thing there.

  345. I said, okay, what God is there? That is God?

  346. That there?

  347. He look at me blame like it's like juggling between

  348. life and ministry. Are you sure it's God because it's

  349. not in the question. Okay, you see like how malayiaus

  350. education taught us. Then I told him this, what did

  351. the Word of God say?

  352. God first? No idol in juggling between everything. Don't look

  353. at the area of your life. Look at who is

  354. the controller of this area? The Bible say God first,

  355. so it should be God.

  356. I say, you still don't trust me what the other

  357. scriptures say, see first the Kingdom.

  358. Of God and it is still God.

  359. I said, trust me, it will be correct one okay.

  360. So he did, okay, Lord and behold okay, so he went.

  361. I submitted he has and then he texted me on

  362. Friday he said I got my result already. I said, oh, so,

  363. huh I get ninety three or one hundred?

  364. Then I say, feel ready, Lo, they say no one.

  365. They say that because I wrote so many people that

  366. went through the test, only two persons got above ninety

  367. and he is one of them. So he is ninety

  368. three and the other one is I think not ninety

  369. two or what I cannot remember.

  370. Okay, so they say that, Okay, they let him fast. Okay,

  371. so you see, like you know, it's such a simple question.

  372. Trust me, If I go X kids right, all of

  373. them will not be like here have to think so lo,

  374. so we cost to our kids everything.

  375. The answer is God. If it's not God is Jesus.

  376. So that is something we also always have to teach

  377. ourselves in whatever things that we do.

  378. Who will be the focus? Who should be first? God?

  379. Right?

  380. It is God. But you know, knowing is one thing.

  381. Doing is another thing.

  382. So we need to recognize what are the thing that

  383. caused us to wander away from the knowledge that we

  384. know that God should be first?

  385. Okay. So the first cause is distraction. All of us

  386. are creature of distraction. We are easily distracted. Okay, So

  387. life business can put us in countless direction. Okay.

  388. When our schedules are being filled up, God becomes enough

  389. to talk, right, I say, right, schedules or fill up,

  390. we will say that God. You wait us, Okay, guilty

  391. as charge. Sometimes I'm so busy, aby to tire Rachel, God,

  392. I'm very sleepy. I sleeper, sir. When I sleep, it's

  393. the next day day. I'm like, oh crap, I forgot

  394. to read the Bible. Okay, this is what happened. Okay, distraction, Okay,

  395. we miss destruction doesn't mean that we don't value God anymore.

  396. We still value but we always, you know, entertain the

  397. things that we can see in front of us rather

  398. than what we know, which is God. Okay.

  399. So God often becomes a part of our routine rather

  400. than the foundation of our life. So that's why I

  401. always remind myself that, you know, Selena, before you start

  402. your day, pray, before you start your day, listen to

  403. the word of God. Before you start your day, read

  404. the word of God, so that we will not let

  405. any other thing take over God's position. You know, last time,

  406. I always say that I'm not a morning persona I

  407. cannot read the Bible. Now I can not that I

  408. need to pray.

  409. I need to read.

  410. Because why the rest of my day depend on the

  411. grace of God. My rest of the day depend on

  412. the wisdom that God's going to give to me. My

  413. rest of the day fully dependent of the miraculous work

  414. and power to help me go through and break through

  415. my day. Okay, So first cause distraction. Second cost temptation.

  416. I think I don't need to talk much about temptation. Right,

  417. Temptation praisers on our waknesses and our desires. Temptation will

  418. pull us away from God. Temptation will cause us to

  419. cripple the principles that we have. Okay, when we.

  420. Are young, we will say that, Lord, I will give

  421. my life to you.

  422. I will serve you till the end of the day.

  423. Why because I have my father and mother to pay

  424. my bills. I have my father and mother to fit me.

  425. I can do every single thing that I can. You know, Lord,

  426. I would give myself to you. When you enter into college, Lord,

  427. I will give half of my time to you, because

  428. the rest of half of my time I need to

  429. study for my exam if I feel my parents will

  430. show me.

  431. Out of those house.

  432. Right when we enter into young working adult wood, Lord,

  433. I will only give you twenty five percent because I

  434. got deadline to chase.

  435. You know, I need to do the things that my

  436. boss asked me to do.

  437. You know all the young kidler does you name me?

  438. When you enter into parenthood, Lord, I'm sure you understand.

  439. I will serve you with only ten percent because why

  440. you know, my baby doesn't slip through the night. I

  441. have to keep a wake up. I don't think the

  442. next day I will have the you know, the brain

  443. energy to serve you. And I'm pretty sure the CIPC

  444. will understand Selena will not force me to serve. And

  445. I'm sure you understand. God, right, we slowly cut down

  446. and cut down and cut down. Or maybe sometimes you know,

  447. when we talk about temptations, you're both say that truly

  448. I need you to go and handle this project. You know,

  449. once this project is as soul, you will be rewarded

  450. three times your salary. But but you know the bat

  451. we talked later when there's no one here, and then

  452. prior to this, you say that God, I would give

  453. my career to you.

  454. I will not say yes to bribery. I will not

  455. bow down to anything.

  456. But at the same time that I suddenly I got

  457. ten thousand bills to pay, but I got only one

  458. thousand in my bank account, and then to finish this project,

  459. I got twenty thousand.

  460. God, I'm sure you understand you break your principles.

  461. Or maybe you know a lot You're okay out here, God, No,

  462. but Frank godfri right, Lord, I want.

  463. My life partner to be a person wholy fully devoted

  464. to God.

  465. Twenty years old, can now five boyfriend twenty five years old,

  466. No boyfriend thirty years old, No boyfriend thirty five years old,

  467. no boyfriend forty years old. There's a non believer love

  468. you with all his heart, his mind, his sould, his spirit.

  469. Lord.

  470. I'm pretty sure you understand right, I need a life partner.

  471. Never mind not I marry him first and I bring

  472. him to church. Okay, I'm not condemning anyone. Now, I'm

  473. not condemning anyone, but I'm just sharing from my own journey,

  474. my own perspective or maybe like you know, in your family,

  475. especially if let say you are a pre no you

  476. are the first gen believer A this is my own journey.

  477. You know, I accept and my parents sident you go

  478. to church. I'm not going to call you my daughter anymore.

  479. I'm like, how if I got to church, my parents

  480. won't call me your daughter anymore? That I got know

  481. how to stay? I got no money to pay for

  482. my bus, I got no food to eat. I cannot

  483. do anything.

  484. How should I say that?

  485. You know, as a christ I go for the conference

  486. and I say that God, I'm going to serve you

  487. with all my heart, mind, soul and spirit. Then come

  488. back home. My parents said, well this old me. Okay, Sorry, God,

  489. I cannot serve you anymore.

  490. Or we're going to do that.

  491. Are we going to break our principles that we have

  492. committed to God that is in alignment. When I say

  493. all these principles are it's not the principles that we

  494. said because we want to please people, but it is

  495. in alignment with the word of God.

  496. What God says about Briberry is a sin. What the

  497. God says about you.

  498. Know, the relationship with unequally yoke, what that God says

  499. about putting him first. You know, every single principles that

  500. we made, every single decision that we made, it has

  501. to be in alignment to the world of God. So

  502. let the Holy Spirit convict our hearts. Don't let temptations

  503. take over your life. Right And the third one peer pressure.

  504. Just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean you have

  505. to do it. Just because everything, every one thing that

  506. it is the right thing to do. But God says

  507. that it's not the right thing to do. Are you

  508. going to follow that everyone? Or are you going to

  509. follow God. If the society says that that is how

  510. the way it should be, do you follow peer pressure?

  511. So one of the things that I found out recently about,

  512. you know, in my workplace with my colleagues. Okay, I

  513. find this very funny, but I wasn't judging that person.

  514. So it was the Hungry Ghost Festival thing. So the

  515. people in my office, I think I should before majority

  516. of them they are non believer, Okay, we need a handful.

  517. There is either Muslim or Christian. Okay, so Muslim and

  518. Christian gethered together. I think it's a handful. The rest

  519. are all Buddhists. So during the Hungry Go festival, they

  520. actually went down to pray and have this. Okay, I

  521. don't know what kind one fire they have. So a

  522. colague of mine came to me. I said, that is Alena,

  523. are you joining us to pray?

  524. They're me being me. I look at the bringling pray.

  525. What you know, because I totally forgot that it was

  526. Hungry Goes first festival. That's a pre word. Say oh,

  527. it's Hungry Go festival. We are going down to pray,

  528. And I just said that, oh, please go ahead. I'm

  529. a Christian. I don't participate in all this. So another

  530. colleague of mine said that.

  531. I'm also a Christian word, no, look at her? Then

  532. where do you go, Gornela? Everybody's going mare, So what

  533. are you going to do that? No? No, I'm just

  534. going to watch that. They're like, what's the fun.

  535. About watching people burning things? Okay, So to me it's

  536. like probably to hurt to me when I look at it.

  537. Probably to her is out of curiosity, or maybe it's

  538. peer pressure because why all her good friends in the

  539. company are there, so she doesn't want to miss out.

  540. Right, So it's the same thing.

  541. Do we conform to peer pressure just because we don't

  542. want to miss out, or we're going to make a stand.

  543. So I make a stand saying that no, I will

  544. not go because to me, it's nothing to say. It's

  545. just fire and you guys shouldn't be burning anyway, the

  546. weather is so bad.

  547. Okay. Yeah, so that is something that we have to

  548. remind ourselves. Don't fall into peer pressure. Okay.

  549. So these three things, okay, distraction, temptations, peer pressure are

  550. the very things that cause us to wander away from

  551. the world of God. So be careful when you go

  552. through every single path in your life. When you notice

  553. all these things are slowly creeping, sometimes destruction, temptation of

  554. peer pressure will come very.

  555. Subtly, slowly.

  556. You may not even realize it, and you will say that, okay, la,

  557. just a bit nimar klan is not so bad after all. Okay,

  558. you know, in Malaysia, in Bahasa Malasia, we have this

  559. saying cate ciccate, lama lama jodi bukit a bit a bit, slowly,

  560. it will become a mountain food.

  561. Okay. In Cantonese, Eco tax seal singsa soisa ah missa.

  562. Just one piece of tiny sand you gather, it will

  563. become a mountain. So same goes to sin a bit,

  564. a little bit, it will became a lot. So, knowing

  565. all this, what should you do?

  566. What should you do?

  567. In First John, chapter one, verse nine, it says, if

  568. we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to

  569. forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  570. We need to repent on all our sins. So when

  571. I prepare this.

  572. Message, I shouldn't tell God that you know, Lord, I'm sorry,

  573. you know, I'm sorry that I have wandered away.

  574. I have put things above you.

  575. You know I have put you on the sideline, especially

  576. when I'm too tired or I'm too busy.

  577. But I want to make right with you. And Romans

  578. dowards for It says that.

  579. You know, do you despise the richest of His goodness

  580. forbearance and long suffering, not knowing that the goodness of

  581. God leads you to repentance.

  582. Remember of his goodness. His goodness will lead us to repentance. Okay.

  583. So true repentance is more than just feeling sorry.

  584. It's not just say story God and then you just

  585. continue to do but and it's a transformative act of

  586. turning back to God. So when we repent, we acknowledge

  587. that we need his forgiveness and his grace and making

  588. a conscious decision to turn from sin and walk in

  589. His ways. Okay, and repentance restore our relationship with God

  590. and enlighteness once more. With his will, repentance, come back

  591. to the spirit of repentance, okay, and then obey the

  592. prompting of the Holy Spirit ezequila these six verse twenty

  593. seven says that I will put my spirit within you

  594. and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you

  595. will keep my judgment and do them. Galaisian five sixteen

  596. says I say, then walk in the spirit, and you

  597. shall not fulfill the last of the flesh. So when

  598. you partner with the Holy Spirit, and you walk with

  599. the Spirit, and you listen to the prompting of the

  600. Holy Spirit, you will know that you can walk in

  601. alignment with God. Because why the Holy Spirit is our

  602. guide and he convicts our hearts. It will urge us

  603. towards the holiness. So every time when you want to

  604. do something wrong, every time you want to do something wrong,

  605. you will suddenly feel uneasy one and you will feel

  606. like should I even do it? The things that I

  607. do will live even please God. And that is the

  608. Holy Spirit prompting your heart telling you that you should

  609. not do. And the Holy Spirit will reveal the areas

  610. in your life that needing the growth the correction. And

  611. do remember that obedience involve humanity and willingness to follow

  612. even though it is difficult.

  613. Okay, we all know one to obey is really very difficult.

  614. But we still need to obey, all right, and we

  615. need to submit daily to the Holy Spirit and allow

  616. him to shape us in the likeness of Christ. Okay,

  617. So why do I share all this to all of us,

  618. you know, in life with our church, Okay, that all

  619. may know. Okay, we need to live a life that

  620. reflects God's goodness. We need to live a life that

  621. is worthy of the Gospel. So as I read from

  622. Philippin's Ship the one verse thirty seventh, Okay, this scripture says,

  623. conduct yourself in a manner.

  624. Worthy of the Gospel of Christ. All right.

  625. This is the very reason why we need to align

  626. our life towards God. We need to live a life

  627. that reflects that is worthy of the Gospel of Christ.

  628. Okay.

  629. So we need to live in a way that honors

  630. the immense gift of grace that we have received. So

  631. if you say that you're a believer of Jesus, you

  632. have received the grace of God, which is towards salvation.

  633. All right.

  634. And always remember that the Good News Gospel is not

  635. just a message of salvation, but it's an invitation of

  636. a life transform You cannot say that you have Jesus

  637. in your life, but your life is not being transformed

  638. insight out.

  639. Okay.

  640. So living in a manner worthy of the Gospel. It

  641. means that responding to grace with the heart that desire holiness. Okay,

  642. And we need to remember that we are motivated not

  643. by fear of punishment, but out of love.

  644. And gratitude for the grace. Okay.

  645. So John Tree sixteen tells us that for God so

  646. loved the world that he gave his only son, that

  647. whoever believed in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

  648. So God's grace in an invitation a calling for us

  649. to live righteously that reflects this love.

  650. Okay.

  651. So Paul clarifies in Romans Sis that the grace that

  652. we have received is not a permission.

  653. To keep sinning.

  654. We have received the grace, right, we cannot say that

  655. when we sing it's okay, I do wrong. Ready, I

  656. go back and repentel Okay. For those of you who

  657. know the kning me, I will always do this. I

  658. say it's okay, I go back a rependila. I do

  659. know the things say they go back repaenna. But that

  660. shouldn't be the way.

  661. Right.

  662. We started the scripture saying that should we keep on

  663. seeing so that God can show us more and more

  664. of his wonderful grace.

  665. What did Paul say, of course? Not? Okay?

  666. So we have received so much, we are called to

  667. a higher standard. Always remember that we are called for

  668. a higher standard. And when we live a life that

  669. brings glory to God, we bear witness to the transformative

  670. power of His love. And when we bear this transformative power,

  671. when we leave this high standard, people will look at

  672. us and say that why are you different? And then

  673. it gives you the opportunity to share. I am different

  674. because how of what God has done for me and

  675. causes me to change from the inside out. So Romans

  676. chapter six, verse twelve to forty. It says that do

  677. not let sink control the way you live. So Church,

  678. don't let sink control you, okay, don't let sin bind

  679. you up. Don't let sin causes all the distraction and

  680. derail you from what God has intent for you. All right,

  681. do not give in to sinful desire. Don't say that, oh,

  682. just because while you're waiting what you're waiting for is

  683. not here, then you compromise. Don't, okay, but the word

  684. of God say, do not let any part of your

  685. body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead,

  686. give yourself completely to God. When you give your life

  687. to God, he will never shut change you one, all right.

  688. He will never shot change you. Instead, he will transform

  689. your life so that His name can be glorified. So

  690. can I invite the extreme team up as I draw

  691. towards a close. So this morning, no now is afternoon?

  692. Okay?

  693. Let us be reminded that grace is both a gift

  694. and a calling, all right. It's a called to live

  695. in a way that exemplifies the gospel we believe in,

  696. a gospel that offer eternal life, transform character, and compel

  697. us to walk in alignment with God's love and holiness.

  698. So as we go all from this place, when you

  699. go home, let's read through Roman Sics again and reflect.

  700. Are there areas where we have allowed distructions, temptations, and

  701. pressure to push God out from our daily life? Have

  702. we been wandered away from the world of God that

  703. we miss the mark? Have we ever say that you

  704. know God, you wait for me? La, Yes, God will wait.

  705. But why do you always have to ask God to

  706. wait for you instead of you waiting upon the Lord

  707. you know?

  708. Don't give in to your challenges, don't give into the

  709. way of this world. So this afternoon, I just want

  710. to challenge.

  711. All of us here all of us, including myself, to

  712. move towards repentance.

  713. If there's any area in our lives that has not

  714. been in alignment with God, Let's seek God for his forgiveness.

  715. Let's ask God for strength to live in alignment with

  716. his will. You know, one thing that I'm always reminded

  717. of is that God says that when you seek Me first,

  718. everything will be added unto you. His promises are always

  719. he as an amen. And one one statement that we

  720. always often here is that delay is not denial. You

  721. may not get it now, doesn't mean the Lord does

  722. not love you. Instead of asking God that no, Lord.

  723. Why you're not answering my prayer? Why don't you ask God?

  724. Is there any area of my life that.

  725. I need to change so that Your power can come

  726. upon me that I can transform more into your likeness.

  727. So let's commit to put God first in all things,

  728. empowered by the Holy Spirit to obey His voice. When

  729. we live a life that honors God, we can become

  730. the beacon of His love and truth to the world

  731. around us. Our life can become a testimony, a living

  732. freedom of the Gospel that speaks more powerfully than words alone.

  733. And as we go forth, let's strive to live.

  734. In a manner worthy of the Gospel, drawing others to

  735. the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

  736. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
