You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
I think some here really the word is that we
-
go to different challenges in our life. Amen, and the
-
problems that have been about the challenge really ah us
-
here like you not. We will go to every every season,
-
every phase, we do go to stuff one encourage us
-
this morning as I came here as uh during the
-
pre service prayer, just really felt that some of us
-
here today, uh just really got to believe. You know.
-
Let me just tell you to the scripture Hebrews chapter four.
-
All right, he Brews chapter four, let me see a
-
worse I think verse six, I think so, I think
-
so just limited to right, I was just reading here
-
was yesterday he Brews chapter four two worst two wors
-
two he Brois chapter four wards two right, Uh, you
-
guys there, okay? And testing all right? Hebrews forwards. Who
-
says for indeed the gospel was pushed to us as
-
well to them. Amen. So the word of God has
-
went forth gone forth. When out preach, we heard God's word.
-
But the word which they heard did not profit them.
-
How do we know that the word of God does
-
profit us? The Word of God does profit us, which
-
means to say, when you hear God's word, if you
-
take it to heart, if you believe in it, it
-
does profit you. I think many times our journey, maybe
-
you've been a Christian for some time, that you have
-
heard the word many times. Really, and sometimes we think
-
words are just words, no effect, no power, no breakthrough.
-
But the Bible here says that the word which they
-
have heard did not profit them. And God this one
-
he wants to remind us, excite our hearts again, to
-
encourage us again that when you hear God's word, it
-
can't profit you. The Bible here says when we mix
-
God's word faith, So the word of Law says that
-
they not profit them because they did not mix it
-
with faith. So this morning I pray that you know
-
when you hear the word of the law, when you
-
listen to God's word, when you read God's word in
-
your devotion, whether it is an hour where there's a
-
scripture a friends, that word has to mix with faith.
-
In other words, we have to believe. Friends, it is
-
not by law, which means to say that it's not
-
the steps, it is not the just the observant of
-
the law, but friends, is really by grace, meaning to
-
say that when you read the word of the law,
-
we have to believe this morning that if God says
-
that you are healed, even though our physical body have
-
not experienced a healing yet, we are healed by faith.
-
We proclaim it. And that's the reason why some of
-
us here today and after the course of a journey
-
we give up on faith only because that it's I'll say,
-
we've been going about flesh. You know. Sometimes we go
-
to challenges and challenges of the challenges without flesh, we
-
grow very tired, we grow very angry. We go we
-
feel like killing people, We feel like, you know, throwing
-
the chair and stuff like that. You know, this past
-
start of my house things in February, all the way
-
until now finally the tail end of it. And in
-
the course of the past close to nine months, I've
-
learned so much. So recently, h my latest testimony was
-
I had a leak that this came right it was
-
it was something I thought it was done, really cly.
-
I turned on the main the pipe right the water
-
started flooding. My, my, my, the staircase wall right, you know,
-
the staircase Warfare's the Wittaker war right, it's one of
-
the highest in your house. It's not that easy to paint,
-
so it's like a horror movie. Actually the pain is
-
something to peel you like the second peel this stuff
-
like it's started to droop down. I went like, wow,
-
thank God, did not pain it rate It'll be like really,
-
it'll be like wow, this horror will be the pin
-
stideditude this you know, not only their friends. It's because
-
it happened on the upper floor. R you know upper floor.
-
You had your flooring done. My floy was done fourteen
-
years ago, and I thought to myself, do we do
-
a flooring and if you've done anything before, do we
-
do a flooring for any house? It'll touch five figures,
-
like you understand, all right, if you do the wine
-
of flowing and anyway. So I went there just telling
-
my wife said, oh no, and money going out again.
-
We are like, there's no more money to go out anymore.
-
And we were like we were just praying and hoping
-
for the best. What happened, We need to say that,
-
uh you'll print that the floors will be maintained. We
-
will praying with the flour, you know, stuff like that.
-
So Anyway, long story, cash up and we were showing
-
the pictures of our hearts, sang. We were disappointed again.
-
She was supposed to move back last week because of
-
all these things. She had the delay. I told her
-
that and to more weeks and you know, go to
-
wave off like postponement is crazy. You had to break
-
through a date in minding, you postpone it. Later on
-
postponing it. It's like a shifting goal post. Right. So
-
the day came, the walls dried up. Walls can be replaced, repainted.
-
Not for me, there's never been the issue. But the
-
flooring I was, I love, please, please, Then the when
-
everything was dried up, when I after a couple of days,
-
when the thing was dried up and my flooring was
-
sped by the grace of God. Seriously, I have water
-
up there that can can can become like a mini lake,
-
really lake, you know, as if you saw any whiner
-
would on the water fence. That's it God. But I
-
don't know why. Back then, fourteen years ago, I paid
-
really expective for a floor and then they had the money.
-
But you know, God is in the picture. I just
-
want to encourage you when you take God's word and
-
you mix it with faith, you will always always find
-
a solution. Yes, it's one or two parts whereby the
-
whiteness looks like it's it's it's it's it just went
-
up by zero one mm. But it's it's all right.
-
So I told my wife, we can only give thanks
-
to God for all that he has done. Really, so
-
today I really like you know, if you, if if
-
you have not known, understand how good God is. I
-
pray it by the end of today's service you experience
-
so so. Indeed the Gospels we preached to us as
-
far as to them, but the word did not reach herd,
-
did not profit them. So friends, open up your heart
-
this morning. Smile, say God, I want the word of
-
love to profit me. I want the word of love
-
to profit me. I want God's to profit me at
-
the end of the day, because no point listening gospeld
-
and not go back change transform excited. You know, I
-
was hearing a particular dialogue between a couple of leaders
-
in America, and these are not the main megachurches. This
-
are just leaders coming together talking about discipleship. And one
-
guy just shared you know, sometimes it's very frustrated to
-
keep on preaching the Gospel to the same people, keep
-
hearing it again and again, but not one thing to believe,
-
not one thing change, not one thing saying God, I
-
believe right, And it was just sharing this whole thing
-
about like then there's a girl another girl of people
-
that hear the God's word and just say, God, I believe.
-
And you can guess which had the testimony, Wei didn't,
-
Which I had the testimony? We shan didn't. So I
-
pray that all of us here we believe a man worse. Three,
-
for those who believe, do enter that rest? Come on
-
those two that believe, do enter that rest? What does
-
the word of not mean? Friends believing? Friends is not
-
just that I believe that I see written on my
-
thing a male, that's it. But friends believing means to
-
say that this is that there's a there is obedience
-
in the belief. The Bible says, when the tune of
-
Israel were led in the wilderness, why didn't they enter
-
the promises? Because of that disobedience? Come on, because of
-
that disobedience they were led by the pillar of cloud
-
and the pillar of fire. How many of versils would
-
like that's this kind of application of waste application. You
-
go out there, there is this pill of cloud leading you. Friends,
-
you will never never need any telcoal signal at all. Right,
-
pillar of fire to give light in the midst of
-
darkness to guide us. Friends, if you have if you
-
have never been camping before, go one time. You know
-
how important that touchlight is. You know what I mean,
-
how important touch like is for the past three weeks
-
or four weeks. And move back to my house. I
-
look like a robber coming back to my house because
-
it's pitch dark. Nurse, I got no light downstairs, So
-
I always take a touch like with me and my
-
neighbor too, Like, who on earth is this guy having
-
a touchlight shining it trying to open the front door?
-
Friend's pillar of fire. I pray that there will be
-
a pillar of fire in our life that will guide us.
-
But the problem is this, It's never been the cloud
-
or the fire. The problem is in our hearts. Even
-
though we hear and we see, do we believe and follow?
-
Come on, even though we hear and we see, do
-
we believe and follow? Being led? And that's why the
-
children of visual couldn't enter the promise. That was a generation,
-
not just one person, but the whole generation that couldn't
-
enter the promised land. And the promise land, friends, was
-
a place of rest, or the place of rest. The
-
Bible says, six day got work, the seven day he rested,
-
and the place where he rests friends, not rested from
-
just the enemies. But that's where you go to a
-
place with Why you are you are so confident that
-
in his presence, no matter what's around us, there is
-
still rest. There is still rest, even though in the
-
land of the giants that can be rest, and the
-
obedience to the Lord will lead us to a place
-
where by God, I want this rest. Those that believe
-
will enter the rest. Friends. So that's not my message
-
this morning. I just want to encourage you with that word,
-
all right, So met chapter five words six, Metal, Chapter five,
-
verse six. I want to speak of a hunger this morning, Amen,
-
speak of hunger your metro Chapter five, verse six. That's
-
are those who hunger and terms of righteousness, they shall
-
be feeled, Amen. Blessed are those who hunger and turst
-
for righteousness. So the question always in our hearts and
-
our minds is the friends, is not that we are
-
It's not that we are not hungry. All of us
-
here do get hungry? All of us here do get
-
this signal that our body says to us saying that
-
we need fuel, we need food. Come on, and why
-
does the body signal to us that we need fuel
-
or we need food? Because there are things in our
-
lives that we need to do that that requires that energy.
-
Sauce requires that input and many times in our life,
-
if we are honest in our friends, we will we
-
will if we are hungry, we have we'll reach out
-
for anything that we feel our stomach. Some of us
-
here for our working friends. If you have a drawer,
-
you have a snack driver filled with chocolates and you know,
-
wafers and biscuits and no chips. I have a clique
-
of mind that have that as well. Open the drawer,
-
have everything. My wife is another one, but hers is
-
a bit more different. Herses nuts, then pale chips and
-
all the other expensive stuff. Pray for me right there
-
are and friends. Many times when we are hungry with
-
haveypers friends, it's very tempting. It's very temp The packaging
-
can be very tempting that even no matter what the
-
ingredients that make the cookie can be very tempting when
-
you're hungry, and isn't it true? Friends? When you're hungry, friends,
-
you reach it off. So the hunger is that with
-
the issue friends, the questions what are we eating? The
-
few up the hunger? Have you ever tried eating as
-
a meal? Fright? Can't as a meal? You take one
-
bite of the fresh cracker, one bite, friends, you know
-
your hand will automatically go out and reach the other
-
second one and doesn't stop at the second one. Friend,
-
isn't it true, you'll reach for the third and the
-
fourth of every Chinese serial friends, Right, my grandparents back
-
then will have this huge quality and they will fight
-
all the crop. They go by the biscuit tein. Right,
-
every one of the houses will give them one biscuit tein.
-
And sometimes we're now biscuiting. They use plastic bag. They're
-
tireder and say you can take it back home. One
-
of my favorite things in Chinese years is those fish
-
crackers curpu can because once you take a bite, you
-
just keep on eating. And sometimes, you know, friends, you
-
can take the whole bag and finish it fieled to
-
our stomach. But you know that it's so empty. If
-
you know I'm trying to say, you can be so
-
full but yet empty on the inside. So full, but
-
yet you know that something you're not gonna something not
-
hit the right spot, and that's a fish cracker, that's
-
to us out. Someone is filmed with calories and stuff.
-
But you know that there is emptiness, and God wants
-
to remind us this morning, blessed those hunger and tost
-
friends for righteousness. It's only when we turst for the
-
right things that will be filled. Think away for a moment.
-
Only when we turst for the right things to be filled.
-
And many times, a lot of times we fill our
-
life with different things. Although we are feeled but not satisfied.
-
When God feels up, we are satisfied. When God fill
-
your life up, you're not going to ask for a
-
second thing anymore because He is all sufficient, isn't it true?
-
So God, this boy wants to remind us. Are those
-
who hunger and thirst. So when our body signal to
-
us you're hungry, reach out for something to eat? Right?
-
What are we reaching out for when we are disappointed?
-
Come on, what do we reach out for, friend to
-
meet the disappointment, or rather to to to overcome the disappointment,
-
or adding fuel to allow the disappointment to burn even
-
bright or are we quenching the disappointment saying okay, I
-
recognize the disappointment. I'm going to surrender to the Lord,
-
and because I want to do it right before the Lord.
-
And that's why King David. King David was given a
-
opportunately to kill Saul. Friends, he didn't even want to
-
touch Song because his hunger and his urst was not
-
in the physical position. His number one aim was to
-
please the Lord in his life. I prayed our journey
-
in life, friends, that we have this mind that we
-
will please the Lord. Friends, immen, And today let me
-
just turn you to Genesis chapter twenty five. Let me
-
try to explain to Genesis to chapter twenty five. All right,
-
here we go, just chapter twenty five. I think it's
-
twenty five, verse twenty nine. Let me try to explain
-
it twenty five or twenty nine. Now, Jacob Cook, a
-
stew and esaw came from the field and was very weary.
-
So let me try to explain this whole hunger and
-
this righteousness. So Jacob Cook us tough and it saw
-
was coming back from the field. How many of you
-
know that the timing couldn't be more perfect? It is
-
not by chance that Jacob cooked when the brother was
-
coming back. If it's by child's friends, then you know
-
it's just coincidence. But there was a time it was
-
planned up by Jacob because Jacob knew what he was doing.
-
So the he saw came back from the field feeling tired.
-
Very friends, the enemy knows when we are tired and
-
when we're weary. It doesn't hit you when you're on high.
-
It doesn't hit you when you everything's all right. It
-
hits you at the time whereby you just feel like
-
it's something that justified. For example, if you ever felt
-
disappointed before by someone else, you felt that that feelings
-
being justified because you were wrong by someone else. We
-
just a justification in our life. He saw the Bible
-
says he came from a field. Friends. Sometimes it is
-
not at the field we get the temptations. Sometimes it's
-
when coming back from the field feeling tired alone revery,
-
and the enemy knows our weakness. The enemy knows what
-
you are tempted to buy. Friends, It's a pot of stew.
-
Think about it for a moment. It is not anything else.
-
It's not fried chicken. It's a pot of stew, which
-
Esau likes. So it says that it's all said to Jacob,
-
please fit me now the same rich stew for I'm
-
very Therefore his name was called Edam. First of all,
-
enemy knows when we are tired. That may I knows.
-
Our timing not coincidence. That's why it's never coincidence. Things
-
happened in your life. When friends, when things happen in
-
your life, you just have to say, Lord, what is
-
it that you want me to learn from this? To
-
understand about this? Yeah, we can say that, you know,
-
for example, you can you can blame Jacob, Jacob while
-
you have to cook this. Just give me a break
-
with olive oil or something like that. I'll be satisfied.
-
So worst why that, Jacob says? Then Jacob said, sell
-
me your birth right as of today. Come on, Jacob says,
-
sell me your birthright as of today. Now, if this
-
was a brother relationship, you understand the right sibling you
-
ask me for something, I'll come on. Isn't it true?
-
If it's your sibling? How many of you got siblings
-
that cook a maggimi and you liked it and say,
-
please give me this maggimmi and your sibling, say give
-
me your better account number or your PIN number. I
-
have not seen anybody like you know at realisticly real
-
life situation like that. Friends, Maybe they asked of favor,
-
but this is selling your birthright, friends, birth right back.
-
Then if you if it's your birthright. First of all,
-
if you're the eldest of the family, you'll be given
-
the title rather the position as a priest of the
-
family in the coming days. Now, maybe you think that
-
maybe his soul is not that spiritual right to him
-
being a priest in the house. But the other part
-
of the blessing of the birth right double portion of inhabitants.
-
Come on, double Come on, if you're so, you're not spiriture,
-
you think about it. If you're not spiriture, then you
-
should be also, I mean not minding minded about you. Also,
-
there resists part whereby inheritance. As far as I know,
-
nobody here this like inheritance, and think about it. I've
-
not seen anybody. Don't give you inheritance, please all right,
-
please give someone else. The more the better for some
-
other people. Right, But there's there's a part whereby think
-
about it inheritance, double portion of inheritance. He saw friends
-
did understand the value behind it. He didn't understand the
-
significance of a birth right. What's more, the value of
-
the birth right. And sometimes in our own personal journey
-
as well, friends, that we are not aware of what's
-
being given to us. We are not aware that the
-
Bible says that the Holy Spirit is with us, for example,
-
and to ask Holy the Holy Spirit, God, I I
-
need you. I was hearing a testimony of one guy
-
saying that, you know, I'm not the most charismatic person,
-
but Lord, if you allow me to go for missions
-
one time with me and my wife, I'll just go
-
for it. This was in America. He went, I think
-
to Central Central America there, and you know, just one
-
trip became five fifteen years started at school there, and
-
I was hearing his testimony. I just realized one thing
-
that many times in our own personal journey as well,
-
we don't realize what we have inside. The Bible says
-
that greater is he who is in you than he
-
is of the world. Right, greater that he's in you,
-
that that he is of the world. That deposit the value.
-
For example, right now we have the physical Bible with us.
-
The value of the Bible, the value of the Bible
-
that we can have access to friends, how valuable is
-
it to us? And many times in our lives we
-
we think that it's just a book. Sometimes, for example,
-
we have time, we have time, and they say that
-
we're still alive. We have time. The value of time,
-
the value of people around us, our love on around us.
-
For this moment in time, they are with us. But
-
there come a time whereby they know they're not going
-
to be with us, with us anymore, and that time, friends,
-
we might be in a place where by regret we
-
did make the right choices when they're around. I was
-
telling my dad this is this very strange conversation my
-
dad all right, telling my dad, say, Dad, what would
-
you do or where everyone to stay? Please try to
-
stay as close to me as possible. No, I want
-
to stay in Surmban by myself. I say that I
-
know you want to relieve your childhood. My dad's from Serumba.
-
By the way, you want to relieve your childhood. But
-
think for a moment, anything happens to you, anything happens
-
to you as your only child, your only son in Malaysia,
-
I would have to make the journey to sirumban to
-
look for you. Now. If you're in the hospital, God
-
for me. But if you're in the hospital, I have
-
to rent somewhere nearby to attend to your niece. I
-
think you are this charge, I say, Dad, don't be
-
so selfish. Cannot He's like, you're it's like you're destroying
-
my last by bucket list like that. So I just
-
I was just this. My conversation said that, look, I
-
have a house you can move in to stay with me,
-
but don't cramp your style. I said, I tell you
-
what you choose anywhere anywhere. This my encouragement to use
-
is that tried to stay close. If you choose to
-
stay Seruman, I still on your decision. I will still.
-
I also want you just understand something. For a moment.
-
You have something that's valuable with you. What are you
-
going to do about it? Jacob says, sell me your
-
birth friend, give me your birthright for this part of too.
-
I don't know how many of us he really sacrifice
-
certain things in our life to achieve where we need
-
to be, to give up certain things, to give out
-
of commitment to understand the significance. You know, if your
-
husband played the role of the husband. If your wife
-
player the role of a wife. Right, if you're a
-
leader a manager and your company play the word as
-
a leader manager, don't delegate the responsibility away. But many
-
times we're like Esau. We see a challenge, give up,
-
and this is what happens verstly too. And it's just saying, look,
-
I'm good about to die. Come on, I'm about to die.
-
How many if you know that it's soul, won't die
-
fens if what he did, that's too think about it.
-
No matter how hungry we are, and we have, we
-
came to a place whereby in our own journey as well.
-
If we're hungry before, we won't die of hunger, you
-
know what I mean? But the perception to ease that
-
I will die of hunger? Friends, And what's the point
-
of holding on to this right? If I'm going to die.
-
I don't know how dramatic things can be in our life,
-
but sometimes we can stretch our imagination alone. If I
-
don't get this right now, I will now be productive.
-
If I don't use certain ran of software, I'm now
-
going to be productive. Right. If I don't have this,
-
I'm not going to achieve. And many times everything is
-
hinges on the external rather on the internal conviction. Come
-
on everything. If everything on the outside, it's perfect that
-
you have a good place. And this is what my wife,
-
don't me. Yeah, enough tinkering with the house ready, please?
-
Enough thinkering with the house radio. Okay, I want to
-
move back in and want to start living my life
-
like normal. Please go. Don't go and change the lines anymore. Please.
-
So she's in charge of the colors. My wife is
-
very good at it. I'm terrible with colors. I wanted
-
the multi colors. She say, cannot. Yeah, please, okay, it's
-
straight enough ready, No off by two mm? Cannot I
-
cannot unsee certain things off by two mm? She said,
-
It's okay. Your salvation is still there. On It's all right.
-
Let me come back home. Don't ask him do anything else.
-
The more dusty it gets, I cannot come back home.
-
All right. What's the point holding onto it? I'm going
-
to die? What's what's your story? Friends? Why if we'll
-
be holding onto that that causes you right now? That
-
what's the point of me holding onto this? Where I
-
don't see a change, where other people are progressing the
-
there we knows strengths of weaknesses. The devil knows our weaknesses.
-
That's why we can come to the place where by
-
the way compromise you. Now he understands. I'll make up
-
better than we understand ourselves. Friends, What's the point of
-
holding onto this where I don't see change, where I
-
don't see breakthrough, where I don't see anything, don't development, friends,
-
and Esau was deceived, and that's what happens in our
-
life as well. What's the point of I, say, for example,
-
coming to church but no change. I'm holding on to
-
this duty of a Sunday morning, but no break through.
-
I want something that satisfied me. I want immediate satisfaction.
-
But God was do something deeper in our hearts and
-
our life, meaning to say that he wants to work
-
us on our character. That's why the Bible says that
-
he learned obedience to his suffering. Jesus suffered all the
-
way until the cross, but he learned obedience. And God
-
will always bring us through a journey, friends, whereby we
-
are supposed to learn something out from it. All right,
-
just let me just reatrut. Then Jacob says, swear to
-
me of this day. So he swore, and so his
-
birth right to Jacob for the part of stuck. Come on.
-
I think many times in our journey and your journey
-
as well, I think we have moments whereby like like
-
he saw, given up our birthright, given up, but we'll
-
hold on to giving up our commitment, given up our testimony,
-
given up our opportunity to shine for Jesus. Have we
-
choose by the way of the flesh, choose by the
-
way of what we think that it's right immediate guarantee
-
breakthrough if you ever grow up in Malaysia back then, friends,
-
you have these books ninety days for one guarantee that
-
you read this book and you guarantee you how many
-
e's or something that you for sure one goddess. I
-
remember those books and I was so that I bought
-
a few of them, like, oh, I've written it by
-
that I didn't get any ala. Maybe I'm not smart enough, right, friends,
-
buying the books one they reading is another thing altogether,
-
I think, And many times in our life exam and
-
we've compromise, exam and we'll compromise, and even exam. First
-
I tried to cheat. I had the sling, I broke
-
my hand. So you know, when you when you book
-
you sleep, you can hide a book inside there. And
-
I literally hit that like hit a book in there.
-
I put the toilet and rested all my first guys.
-
That will all boys go to go to the guy's toilet.
-
Could be a good tree. It's on top of the
-
toilet there. Then then the teachers after a recognizing a wife,
-
so many people go to the toilet one so I
-
really had to respit the last person. If you go
-
down there, past had the book and flush it down
-
the toilet. You know how hard this is, the tear
-
a book and flashing down the toilet of first especially
-
school toilet, whereby half the time it doesn't one there.
-
I got second plan because I had a cast. I
-
can write all the formulas on my cast. They will
-
know because it is the autograph. But even then, even then,
-
all these things, right, with all these things I thought
-
I would succeed. I'll past by exam. I failed such
-
a failure in my life, look at properly, I'm all
-
sure how many I was like like like he saw,
-
like he saw, tempted at the very moment what we
-
want to be never we say we never, but we
-
just give in to it because if we think that
-
he saw that if I don't do this, I'm going
-
to die. If I don't have this, are going to die.
-
And the Bible here says it verse that before Jacob
-
give he saw the bread and the stew of entails.
-
He ate and drank a rose and went his way.
-
Plus he saw despised his birthright. No, the law has
-
given us a lot of things in our life. Breath life.
-
The word is promised, right, I me do it despise.
-
I mean sometimes we hear younger time. We hear people
-
I want to kulle time. Now as you grow older,
-
I want to redeem time right young the time we
-
say I don't spend time with parents, and as you
-
grow older, you you cherish every moment you could have
-
with parents. Right Younger time we say one get married
-
and stuff that when you were married. Afterwards, I want
-
my my me time. And many times we despise what
-
we have actually, and I pray we come to the
-
place where we are contented. Let me just turn few
-
more scutary problems up the four worse twenty tree adding
-
probabs forwards tra need tree. Let me just turned to
-
their proach up to four. I think it should be
-
there twenty three robs of the four twenty three yep
-
robes of the four tenty tree. It says that can't
-
keep your heart with all deligions or one transition to
-
that God your heart with all diligions. So always here
-
grow hungry. All of us here do have hunger friends.
-
So it's not the hunger. The hunger is never did
-
issue that The issue is what we are reaching out
-
four So if problems are the fourwards thady trees is
-
keep on God your heart with all deligious friends. I
-
think many times in our journey, in our lives, friends
-
not be begutting. I found I also that when you
-
talk about God your heart, that we understood immediately what
-
we are gutting. For example, like God your house, and
-
you know that the house is the property that you have.
-
There's valuable stuff inside there, sof you. I know of
-
a person by his house, his house. Then I was
-
walking past his watch collection. I said, why on earth
-
do you put your watch collection in the living room?
-
The rolexs are all in the living room. I said,
-
don't you want to keep in your bedroom or safe
-
or something that? No, not my house, ma, I would
-
admire my watch collection. I said, don't you want to
-
guard it? It's quite safe on here. It's a guarded community,
-
gated community. I went like, wow, this guy has faith
-
in the in the gated community. But majority of us
-
what we do where we have expected stuff, we lock
-
it up in the safe. We put somewhere that people
-
couldn't find it all right, back in those days where
-
we put money in the in the biscuiting, the biscuiting
-
high below the bait, right something. My parents had this
-
habit of hiding money in clothes. As a girl older,
-
what happens that they had they had they couldn't remember
-
where they put it. They couldn't remember. See, son, I
-
got this tag of Australian currency. I remember it was
-
one trousers. I put it in I couldn't find it.
-
And hence that's so I cannot chow anything away because
-
I'd been going to every pocket hoping to find the
-
Australian currency. And we sometimes we're gotting this our physical stuff.
-
We know that we're supposed to got the money, jewelry, watches, right,
-
we understand, but you know what else do we got?
-
We sometimes we are so we can come to place
-
wherever we are getting bitterness, you know, we don't let
-
it go and clear it away. So I was clearing
-
my fresh this morning. Friends, if I came out, I
-
was clearing my fridge this morning, I look at my
-
hooku Ido scallops, expired twenty twenty two. I say, one
-
day eat it. That one day never came expired twenty
-
twenty two or twenty two, about two years ago, is
-
still in my freezer. Friends, and we are like that.
-
We're having stuff that's expired friends in our life because
-
sometimes you open the freezer, it's it looks nice to
-
have a full freezer, right, but never clear clear it up?
-
Why are we keeping this and we are like guarding it?
-
Somebody say, I, no, don't touch my stuff. Have we
-
been there? Have we done it before? Not? We're still
-
haven't closed whereby it's it's okay when when when someone's
-
closed and say I'm going to clear your stuff, don't
-
touch it. My wife is very good, okay, she said,
-
she's not harder say, I've been keeping a lot of stuff.
-
She said, why do you keep your primary school set for?
-
I said, I wanted my head up. I have this
-
one award given to me. So my whole primary only
-
go one award near if you whereas my wife has
-
like one whole table. Do is not enough to say
-
that all this I'm going to trade away soon? I said,
-
what about you? I said, I want one. I don't
-
take it away, cannot right, here's the thing, but it's
-
collecting us and you don't even know what you want
-
the world for a Really, I can guarantee you. And
-
we're gutting stuff in our life, friends, isn't it true?
-
Expired stuff, stuff that happened to us? And the pain
-
that hurts. I know it's very real, the pin and hurts.
-
I'm not discomforting, but something's expired. Really, there's an expiry
-
on those things. And time to move on. Time to
-
move on, time to let it go, time to not God.
-
We are supposed to God. Our hearts were not God.
-
That that that that the bitterness, that the hurt, and
-
not money to let go and say, ask God to
-
help us overcome. In so the Bible asking keep our
-
heart with all diligience. We're all disciplined for our of
-
it flows issues of life. So in other words, friends,
-
if Esau has kept his heart God, that his heart
-
was very aware what Jacob was asking for. He wouldn't
-
have saw. It's both right if he saw even though
-
no matter how tired we are, friends, there is no
-
such things. I'm tired therefore, and we put we hang
-
aside out there for enemies. Tired, gone to sleep, Come
-
back tomorrow, tend me again tomorrow. There's no the enemy.
-
We just come and tempt you and work on our mind.
-
You cannot just put us side there, out for lunch.
-
Come back at one pm. Enemy. So keep all God
-
your have, with all deligious Out from it flows the
-
issues of life, and many times in our journey of life, Friends,
-
our heart is not guarded, and the choices that we
-
made stems up from it. Esau could have overcome the
-
temptation of the rads, too, could have if we understood
-
that even that the deposits that was given to him, Friends,
-
Jesus was also tempted with hunger. After forty days of
-
prayer and fasting, he was led in the wilderness by
-
the Holy Spirit and the moment of temptation. Friends, The
-
first thing, the first temptation was, is that turn this
-
stone to become great? What do you say that do
-
not men do not live by bit a little bit
-
by every way that pross out fro the mouth of God. Right,
-
And here's the thing, and that's I'm going to draw
-
this to a close. Many times in our life I've
-
discovered this. This is that we never understood the value
-
of God's word until we are lived really depend on it,
-
never fully understood the value of God's word until our
-
life depend on it. As I draw this to a close, friends,
-
my encurreagement for us is this is that the hunger
-
was already Hunger has never been the issue. The issue
-
is what we are reaching out for. You're observing our life.
-
Why we what we reach out for, friends, is from
-
problems four for the tree which is our heart, determinant,
-
the motivation behind while we reach out for. That's certain
-
that the reason why, for example, we eat certain things
-
in life because we got craving four right. So this this, this, this,
-
this this time in our life, me and my wife
-
when every time we're going we try to connect with
-
the with the owner to reach out to them. So
-
the most recently was so, for example, I want us
-
to think the word church. We thought the word church.
-
People understood the word church church right, coming right, you
-
say church, people understand what she's went to a place
-
to eat recently. This lady, she's from China. She just
-
came down in years eight months opening a restaurant, really
-
sat down, was reading with the only customer there pull
-
the child besides her. We're like to spend up My
-
wife by then I got the wheeler here right came
-
started telling us about her journey and this stuff like that.
-
So she asked by why what where did you learn
-
to speak like that? That that that sounds so locals,
-
so like like a mainland Chinese. She said, we have
-
a church. We have a church. And she now I
-
thought that we see church. Wefo I understand right? You
-
mean the school? Is it? No a church? No concept?
-
It dawn appointment for the very first time that there
-
are people in the world in this modern day we
-
are living in it don't even understand the word church. Seriously,
-
I went, like at homes last Friday, I went, I
-
went to attend same home as my wife. There was
-
a new comer that came. New comer that came. She
-
is from the same young area, first time to homes,
-
first time to homes, and no exposure. They've been trying
-
to invite her to come for homes for so long,
-
ready for the rite. First time she said, yes, I
-
will come to homes. And what happened was this is
-
that when she came for homes, she was first of
-
all like, what on earth is this whole thing? And
-
I thought to myself, you in my force cell good, ready,
-
you at least have an idea right now. If you
-
ask anyone to come for a sell good, right now,
-
you acly have an idea or picture what is supposed
-
to be. During praise of worshiper, she took out her
-
phone started recording the whole price of worship session, No
-
price of worship session, the recording. I tell you why.
-
I we found out later, right in a conversation. We
-
found out later. Right, for you to progress over there
-
in your work, there's two ways. One is that you
-
join the party, the party, and you get more opportunity
-
over there to work. Right. If not, you go like
-
the normal daily grind, which is another way, but study hard.
-
So she's not a Christian, so she joined the party.
-
So when she took up the photo recollar, we have
-
another two more brothers there who are believers. So I
-
said that I hope that she doesn't take this and
-
go back, they say, hey, I found I found I
-
found two other people that come to Malaysia converted to
-
become Christian. And right now these are two people. Right
-
this how I'm going to enter friends, Keep and guard
-
your heart. Keep and guard your heart with all diligious
-
Up from it springs the issues of life. We can
-
ban her say, don't come anymore. While do they just
-
trust a lot in it? They say, Lord, this is
-
your church. If we were to find out what they're
-
actually so the past three months ago, almost every weekend
-
there was one salvation from These are students from China
-
coming home to study. One came to our church. About
-
one month plus ago housband in China. Mom came down
-
with her son studying. She stayed next door to summer building.
-
She google found the church, came for the very first Sunday,
-
she heard the gospel again. She rededicated life. Not only
-
did she didn't get life friends, she found such meaning
-
and purpose she brought someone else she met. She reached
-
out to her fellow countrymen or woman. So she'd been inviting.
-
Almost everywhere she invited, rededicated or received price. She said
-
that this coming, this coming Christmas, she wants to invite
-
about seventeen people to a home to reach out. So
-
the circle leader that was leading leading this didn't have
-
the heart for these girl people only because that they
-
say that although we speak the same language, but I
-
don't understand the terminology already, that I don't understand why
-
why did love you? Accident jokes? I don't understand the jokes.
-
I don't understand there the humor everything. And my wife
-
minister to this leader and they say, look, this is
-
what you do. You don't understand this, ass how more yourself?
-
Just ask right now she's having a time of her life.
-
That's how I say that the Bible is so to
-
keep and got your hearty all religions, you can't come
-
to the place by you don't like what you're doing.
-
And because we don't like what happens, friends, we make
-
decisions based on how we feel right and we can
-
have miss out on the opportunity that God has prepared
-
for oginal friends, Come on, God has prepared for you.
-
Missed out on this amazing part of being part of
-
the testimony because I cannot relate. And therefore my heart
-
tells me wed group of people I shall lead myself
-
to another place. Right. But friends, you you're going to
-
miss out on the break through the journey. If everything
-
we see through our own lens, of the physical lens,
-
I don't understand. Therefore, no he saw was like that?
-
Oh he saw was? I need food right now. I
-
don't care about my birth rights anyway. It's just words
-
I say, you need friends. This is not one of
-
those boyfriend girlfriends sudden they think I break up, break up,
-
say break up a least really five times there's gatsh
-
to our words. That's why by the confession of your mouth,
-
you'll be safe. God takes his words so seriously. It's
-
not just about here, take my birth right. Here, take
-
my birth right friends, as I close friends, I just
-
want to carriash you again. Don't hear the word of
-
love without mixing it faith because it doesn't profit you.
-
But here it with faith threads and allow God just
-
to lead you and see where this journey leads to
-
see this, look at where this journey will lead you
-
to threads, because at the end of the day, our
-
life this to come to a place where, by say Lord,
-
this life belongs to you. I just want to experience
-
you here on earth. You can only do that in earth,
-
in your friends in heaven. There's only one job with
-
need to worship the Lord. But right here on this
-
is you have a choice. You have a choice. You
-
have a choice. Fads.
-
