You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So this message will spun out of a personal testimony. Well,
-
it's still ongoing, and if you can turn your Bibles
-
to Isaiah chapter fifty five US and I'm gonna go
-
scripture first. It says here for my thoughts are not
-
your thoughts, neither your ways. My ways declares a lot
-
as the heavens are higher than the earth, and so
-
are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts
-
than your thoughts. The title of the message is not
-
my plan, but God's plan, Okay, And we can see
-
it's basically a foretot of my house, the better my house. Okay.
-
So just give you a hopefully I can do this
-
real quick, a really quick introduction that this year is
-
the year I started doing some renovations in my house. Okay,
-
and I've stayed in that place since twenty eleven. You
-
know I believe that God again letters there. I bought
-
the house. Uh you know, I got a long, other,
-
longer storyline, you know, hit at the house. You don't
-
want to stay there? I want you vid there all
-
these different Thingskay, got chance I would say over lunch,
-
then we can talk. But there has been a desire
-
to renovate for a long time. But again, now you
-
got desire, need you got no money, but they have
-
to do things, la right, And I have two kids.
-
You've got to be wise. Lat So the desire came
-
to the point where I'm like a lot you happen, happened,
-
not happen, la right. There was no but again that's
-
the desire. And and we know me. I like to cook.
-
I love a nice kitchen, right, I love it, but
-
I've also accepted that I don't have to have it.
-
You'll catch me. And if you know my kitchen, let
-
me give you a picture. My kitchen is about this
-
big money, this bit from this door like that this
-
big money, smaller of it, and with the kitchen, and
-
make sure you know, invict many people at my house
-
for them. It's very difficult. Okay, guys, it's very difficult.
-
Small kitchen anyway, But I've really sat time, okay a lot. No,
-
it's okay. I can live with it. It's fine. You
-
give you gif, you don't give you going It's fine.
-
But I don't know why. Suddenly this year there were
-
different and again I am not serious about it. Can
-
I be honest? I was serious, you know for a
-
period of time, maybe about two years back, you know,
-
because I asked her you can help me or not
-
in different things. She knows. After that kind of like
-
died off and like a you know what, just give
-
up on the planner, okay. And somehow, by one or
-
two things, the idea came again. And I just lie
-
on the idea, you know, like just you know, MANI
-
la lot, how just lie on me Olkila. Ask the
-
contractor come and see maybe I do do that? Get
-
someone to draw kila maybe like maybe, And I was
-
not serious about it, or to be really honest, I'm
-
not serious. But let me tell you what happened that
-
got me a bit more serious. Uh. Suddenly I came
-
into some cash. Long story short, I came into some
-
cash from my my my family member. It is so
-
unexpected and again now it is one tenth of what
-
I needed la not no a lot, just one tenth.
-
But it came so suddenly that I knew this will
-
seat money for the renovations. You know, God was in
-
very interesting ways one and because of that, I'm like, okay, God,
-
you would sayings already. A, so I have to do
-
something that you show your hand ready, so I have
-
to do like? If not, then how I'm like, okay,
-
you come out already. Then I do long so I
-
move one step more so I get contracted to do
-
a quotational Then is this much ten percent of renovations? Like?
-
Tie like it? And I'm like, God, you you provided that. Okay,
-
I'll do it. The Lord has given me one or
-
two other testimonies on a relation which I may not
-
have time to explain today, But today I just wanted
-
to share with you a little bit about the experience.
-
Do you know that it's wise to plan? How many
-
of you don't like to plan? On? You hate planning?
-
Nobody there do that? A? You know it's wise to plan.
-
Do you know that the Bible encourages us to plan?
-
He does. The Bible does encourages us to plan. It
-
saves in Proverbs twenty one to five, the plans of
-
the diligion lead surely to plenty. Okay, if you plan diligion, lea,
-
you will be rich. Okay, But those of everyone who
-
is hasty surely to poverty. Hasty means you wait, impassive,
-
hah shop we say bye bye bye Gona, all the
-
money gone, right, bye bye bye, literally bye bye bye. Right. No,
-
it is good to plan, and I'm just gonna read scripture.
-
Look fourteen, verse twenty eight to thirty. Even Jesus ask
-
us to plan for which of you intending to build
-
a tower does not sit down first and counter the
-
course whether he has enough to finish it less. After
-
he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish,
-
all who sees it begin to mock him, saying, these
-
men begin to build and was not able to finish. Okay,
-
let's take a few steps back from that scripture. What
-
is the context of the scripture? Right before that, Jesus
-
actually say he who does not hate his father, mother,
-
siblings and all cannot be my disciple. Let me give
-
you the context. When I was younger, I totally don't
-
understand that. Basically, what Jesus trying to say. He's trying
-
to address who are his true disciples, And he's saying
-
that if any of us here or during it that
-
he said, and of course here as well, if you
-
love all these people and things more than him, you
-
cannot be his disciple. Fair. Fair not saying you must
-
hit them, but you must he Jesus very extreme month,
-
so he went the extreme. If you love all these
-
things more than him, then you cannot be his disciple.
-
And he follows up saying that if you go and
-
build a house and you don't count the cost, and
-
later you cannot finish the house, it's polishers correct. Likewise,
-
people who want to follow Christ have to count the cost.
-
Then we can truly say I am your disciple. Why
-
is this significance for us? Because if Christ and God
-
asks you to do something difficult and you have not
-
counted the cost, you are going to say no. Then
-
can we truly say were his disciple? And he actually
-
touched things that are close to our heart? Our father,
-
our mother, got bad relationship parents? I easy, lah, you
-
know easy because got bad? No, But he's he's addressing everything.
-
Means that Christ is the center all the time. Are
-
we counting the cost in our faith or not? Lord?
-
Why sometimes things don't happen in my life as I
-
expected it to be. Why sometimes I pray, pray, pray,
-
but nothing happened. The question is have we put Christ
-
on the center or is something else there? It's a
-
question I will ask us this morning. Right, it's a
-
question I have to ask myself. Right, that's the reality
-
of life. It's something else. There is my dreams. There,
-
it's my job, There is my business. There is my family.
-
It's my son, there, my daughter thirday more important than Christ.
-
You know, if you're not careful, right, something else can
-
replace Jesus. One can one very easy on you know,
-
can on very easy. Something else can replace. Relationships is
-
such an important thing, especially with people who want to
-
you don't get married, have kids that can easily replace Christ. Kids, parents,
-
this your flesh and blurt. No, huh, Jesus have to
-
be more important than my kid. Yeah, that's what the
-
Bible says. So it is important to count the cost.
-
Have we countered the cost of following Christ? That's the question?
-
Have we forsaken or or are we still standing on
-
the fence. It is very difficult. Send on friends, friends,
-
very difficult. Trust me, it's very difficult. You either left
-
or right. You cannot be standing on the fence and okay,
-
depending away it goes, then I will go left. It's
-
very hard. It's very hard. You've got to decide. Even
-
the Bible says, don't be warm hot or cold. You
-
either believe don't believe, because it's very difficult to work
-
with someone who have half. You don't know where the
-
person will go now, at least, I don't believe you
-
can convince the one that believe even easier than you're convinced.
-
Let's just fly right. But those that in the middle,
-
you do know you're gonna waste a lot of time
-
trying to figure out. So even God knows people who
-
are on the fence all the time, who want to
-
be no, no, no, I'm neutral Switzerland. I'm sorry, Bible say
-
it cannot be like Switzerland. Right, So have we countered
-
the costs of following Christ? I know your works that
-
you're neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were
-
cold or hot. Soul then, because you're lookewarm and neither
-
cold nor hot, I will warmit you out of my
-
mouth because you say I'm rich and have become wealthy
-
and I mean on nothing and do not know you're wretched, miserable, poor,
-
blind and naked. The scripture is very quite specific that
-
if we come to a place of self sufficiency, we
-
don't need God o cash. Again, I'm not asking everybody, okay,
-
please sell all that you have. No, I'm not asking
-
you to do that. I'm just saying that the way
-
we approach our faith, do we still need God or not?
-
In this place of course all you say yes lah,
-
But the way we live do we still need God? Right?
-
It's very important to think about it. So, friends, why
-
am I sharing this CEO. At the end of the day,
-
Your faith is as simple as this. It either works
-
or it doesn't. You either believe in prayer or you
-
don't believe in prayer. Right, It's either we follow God's
-
commandments and it's true, or we follow the world. There's
-
no in between. Oh, I come to this church, I
-
listen to some things I take. But then because out
-
there in the working world it is the dog dot world,
-
the church is not relevant. I one hundred percent disagree
-
that a lot of things we study we have relevance
-
in the world. Or but it doesn't work, well, it
-
doesn't work the way we think we want to work.
-
Because what's my title of today's message? I got storted
-
to that after this, No my plan by God's plan? Right, No,
-
my plan. But gospland Roman chilth to even the Ible
-
knows that we are easily influenced by the world. Romans
-
struct to say is do not be conformed to this world,
-
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then
-
you may prove what is that good and acceptable and
-
perfect will of God? Can I give you a thought
-
as a believer for those of us here, for our believers.
-
You've been a believer for many, many years. Ready, how
-
have you progressed? Is your mind renewed? Very important question asked.
-
It is not the church, the people you hang out with,
-
your homes. It is not the leader and the capability
-
of whether the leader can give you eschatology you know whatever,
-
or the funky you know words, biblical words. No, it's
-
not that. It is never that right. It is us
-
and what we receive. I don't go to the gym
-
and blame my coach. If I get fed, cor or
-
not correct, it's my fault. I don't exercise, I don't
-
you know. I simply eat whatever I eat. But then
-
I go to the gym and blame no coach. Albert,
-
you you know, never train me enough. You never give
-
me a hard thing enough. You now force me enough.
-
You never drag me enough. You never invite me enough.
-
Sound familiar friends, Can I encourage you take the responsibility
-
of your faith, Take the responsibility of your faith, because
-
once you do the lot renew your mind? Have we changed?
-
Have we grown? Have you experienced? Got more? That is
-
a good question, you know, right, So encouraging to hear
-
slain us as some money as you're sharing about how
-
God is moving renewing her mind right, causing us to grow.
-
God is not over with you yet. Friends. Don't come
-
to a place where I say I've done it all,
-
seen it all. No, they are more to do. Son, Yes,
-
I plan, right, I plan, I plan, I plan, and
-
I know that God is in control. And I commentate
-
myself to you. So how well we got to align to
-
God's plan? What is our compass when we think about it?
-
My encouragement is God does have a plan for us,
-
every one of you here in ex Ampang. Whether you
-
realize it or not, God has a plan for you.
-
Jeremiah twenty nine eleven says, why I know the thoughts
-
I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace
-
and of evil to give a future and a hope.
-
So this is the truth. But then you might come
-
and say, oh, but I mean what do you mean
-
by God has a plan? I don't know. I've not
-
seen that plan. Well, can I tell you whether you
-
see it or not? He does have a plan for you.
-
He does have a plan, But then what is the
-
big question? There is a plan, but are we on
-
his plan? Or am I on my own plan? Are
-
you some exercising examples, Okay, one year I've been going
-
to the gym, still going, Thank God, right every time
-
I go, Jim right, I will tell Albert your plan,
-
not my plan. Sometimes I will have ideas, which recently
-
I say maybe I should do and he's like, look
-
at me, like, but what's your goal. If your goal
-
is this and you should do this, you shouldn't do that.
-
I'm like, yeah, I'm like if you're I'm like, you're
-
not a coach. I'll just listen to you. You know better,
-
you look like you know better. Every time I don't
-
know actually say it, but every time after no girls
-
around that. Okay, after the exercise, he will take off
-
his shirt because he's sweaty, and when I look at him,
-
I'm like, I will always follow his life because that's
-
what I want to. You get me not I don't
-
go to it I know better, coach, and then you
-
compare there you look at the body you're like physically,
-
I can see he knows what he's talking about. Right?
-
Do we know that God knows what he's talking about?
-
Are we on God's plan? The problem is not no
-
plan on the price? Which plan are we on? Are
-
we using the ways to follow Jesus? Are we relying
-
on the way, the truth and alive? What is our compass?
-
Who or what is guiding us? From sixteen three says
-
commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will
-
be es. Proverbs sixteen nine says a man's heart plans
-
his way, but the Lord directs his theme. Ps. Twenty
-
four says, may he grant you according to your heart's desire,
-
but there's a catch, and fulfill all your purpose. Who
-
knows what their purpose is? The person that made you
-
knows your purpose? Right. Proverbs nineteen twenty one says there
-
are many plans in a man's heart. See, so keep planning, okay,
-
Please plan, plan, plan right. Many plans. However, God's counselor
-
will stand. So it's okay to plan. Friends, Don't don't
-
get me wrong, It's okay to have your own plan.
-
Please do it. Don't don't have or no I've been saying,
-
I know, need you a plan. So I'll just you know,
-
every day pray and seek the Lord and no, no, friends,
-
please don't do that, Please don't become her. Please follow
-
wisdom plan. But the moment God speaks, follow his word. Right.
-
Let me share you where this message came out from. Right,
-
So start the house renovations. Basically extending my kitchen. Okay,
-
finally right, uh and uh, well, got provided some funds.
-
Oh yeah, stick to this picture first and and again.
-
This used to be my back house. Okay, As you
-
can see, it's uh the back of my place was soft,
-
like I used to work, dilapidated. I never touched, never
-
go and v see you know, sometimes got like little
-
creppy crawlies there and I just don't bother that. Okay,
-
And this is basically my internet line. But right now
-
the house had been extended. If you saw earlier on
-
that was the back that was stustand the back wall,
-
but now extend redema. But then this thing is still
-
there wall how so I have to call the service
-
provider to remove it la, right, to relocate it to
-
the outside. Right, So that's why I did, you know,
-
because if they don't, if they don't cut off that
-
that this this thing, and if they don't remove it,
-
I cannot tell this area. And if I cannot tell
-
this area. For those of you who know renovations, right,
-
thank god, I really had one or two experiences renovation.
-
Now I know that timing is very important. Was once
-
one delay, harllelujah, and I cannot afford delays, right, So
-
I took leave one day after one week of ding
-
donging with the service provider, which is supposedly I won't
-
tell you who, but the most awesome service provider ever
-
one week just to arrange them to get them to
-
come and do internal relocation. Okay, that's what the word
-
they use. They say, supp's coming back now, coming back okay, anyway,
-
never mine. On the day I managed to finally make
-
one appointment. And again, now it's year and I have
-
no not much leave ready right, one to leave left
-
and then that's it, right, and I was like I
-
needed it done today and wisdom right, So I make
-
my own planner so I really know and I may
-
insul do some research that actually I can do this myself,
-
meaning hire some technician to do it, but I'll be
-
more expensive, right, So I rate time myself, like, Okay,
-
if really this I cannot then I will have no choice.
-
Take another day, live and go and get it done.
-
So one way or another is done. So I arrange
-
two o'clock the guy is supposed to come, right, and
-
then at twelve the t the expert called me and
-
I kind of knew I was coming ready ask me
-
what is this thing? And I'm like, I've really shared
-
these six times to your people, and you were asking
-
me what am I doing? Isn't it in the notes?
-
Don't you already? Hi? Tech? Right? Oh? These are all
-
like that. I need to come and see first. The
-
appointment said too, he come me at telfter tea. He
-
suddenly appeared, Sorry, he came me at twelve. He suddenly
-
appeared at twelve the tea to come and see. And
-
then he told me, oh, sir, sorry, cannot be done,
-
but my friend can help. How funny is that? Right?
-
I kind of know this was gonna happen. Really after
-
doing some research, I'm like, you know what, but I
-
made a first off. I said, we read who you
-
know I need done today? Right? And I kind of
-
give you a hard time until he was sook jung
-
and then in the end long story shot so at
-
chelfter Tea after he left his say friend help. I
-
was on the phone with him and I'm like, I
-
need it done today. I cannot. I ready to live
-
for this. You are telling me now you cannot do
-
it right. Get your friend here earlier so they can
-
see it and get it done right. And he's like, oh.
-
And I was like, how much is it going to cost?
-
And he said this much and he was less than
-
what I got the quote earlier and said, okay, just
-
get it done, just get it I just need it done.
-
At chelp the d I was talking to this guy
-
and I was and friends, I've been stressed out over
-
this cabler for the past two months a day, right,
-
my wife don't understand. Guys, you understand, Okay, you've been
-
stressed out all this for the past two months. No,
-
not see your face. Cannot sleep. I actually couldn't sleep
-
because of this, right, that's the mouse stress ahead chefter Tea.
-
After telling the guy, he said, don't worry. My friend
-
will come and check. Then we will see whether or
-
not he can do it or not. And as I
-
was looking outside my house. My friend, get this is
-
my bet my house. I was outside talking because inside way,
-
no is it right? They're doing renovations outside talking lo
-
and behold, I look at the clouds. You know if
-
you stay in winning are you know that Cotman is
-
a beautiful place. It's very sunny, but right now we
-
have monsoon season. And as I look out of my house,
-
I saw this on the sky. Okay, you need to
-
taballecan the imagination right? Because that clear part was above
-
me and that cloud was in front of me. And
-
I'm like, oh, Lord, even if the guy comes at
-
one the tee, how is he going to do the
-
work because it's outside work. I have to think leave.
-
And I don't know what came on me. I said, Lord,
-
please hold the rain, just that one the tee. Suddenly
-
they appeared, They came, they went behind straight way started
-
doing well. No, never even tell me. I'm like, hey,
-
hold on, hold ond on, how much is it? You
-
didn't quote me properly? Then he like, then try to, like,
-
you know, convince me. Oh, you know I work on
-
all the houses. I don't. I don't understand what you're
-
trying to convince me. I guess when of it done,
-
and then he told me the price. It was less
-
than what was quoted. I said, okay, just get it
-
done immediately, right, So he did it. He got it done.
-
By two thirty. Everything was done right. And then I realized, hey,
-
it didn't rain. Friends, if you see the count klow,
-
confirm rain one. Okay, I stay in got the winning
-
for very long. If I see the count cloud, I'm like,
-
confirm rain one. But it didn't rain. It didn't rain
-
for the whole day. I don't know where the wind
-
was blown. It didn't rain. And by two thirty everything
-
was done according to specs and it was finished. And
-
then God spoke to me. You had a plan, right, Elvin.
-
My plan, I tell my plan. My plan was there
-
coming two o'clock. I get it all done, I you know,
-
roughly me about two three hours. You know, hopefully it's
-
not too expensive. I I really cleared my my whole
-
day really not doing anything. That was my plan. My
-
plan was no more phone call, no more friend help,
-
all done properly. That was my plan. I was God's plan.
-
God's plan was it was done earlier. God's plan was
-
he held the rain. That was God's plan, Okay, you
-
might think I have pass when you're over reading into Itla,
-
It's fine, it's fine, it's okay. You know, for people
-
who are logical, you can. But I really believe God
-
held the rain, and I've never paid a can't pray
-
before and I've never seen And if you'll stay in
-
condect morning for those few days, you'll know it rained
-
every single day. So to me, it was supernatural. It
-
was the first time in my life I experienced God
-
holding rain, and I only realized later. How many of
-
us have this contestimony. I'm sure some of you have.
-
Don't take it likely, don't take it lightly, because God
-
does things to show you that he's around. And then
-
I realized, Wow, Lord, my stress for two months was
-
sorted like that according to your plan, not my plan.
-
It wasn't my plan to get the friend to help,
-
It wasn't my plan all that thing, But everything was
-
done according to what I needed. How many of us
-
right experiences before We have a certain plan, we need
-
it run a certain way, and then different things happen.
-
It didn't go according to plan, but you still got
-
what you wanted. Don't make sense, right, makes perfect sense
-
because God orchestrates things and it will come to a
-
place where we can only give him the glory. Amen.
-
So we got to align. How do we align? I
-
could have canceled the friend, I could have done a
-
lot of things, but I aligned. I said, God, please,
-
I need your helper. You know, you know right, this
-
whole renovation is not even my idea. No, it's your idea.
-
I'm just going on the right. They had one or
-
two testimonies that gave me confirmation to pursue it, because,
-
to be really honest, I'm not the richest person in
-
the room. In fact, I can actually one of the confirmation,
-
well not confirmation, but want The encouragement I had was
-
passa Ken was sharing a message about praise's power, and
-
we're sharing about how God provided for his house renovation.
-
And of course he shared this, you know, and this
-
is my internal joke. He's like, oh, you know, God
-
plays a person's name in his heart that will help
-
fund the renovation. When I had it, I'm like, oh, Lord,
-
please place the person's name in my heart that will
-
help the renovation. Until now I don't. I got no name.
-
But God provides, and he's been providing through different ways. Okay,
-
but I understand our plan. I will align to God's plan.
-
But what if we get lost halfway? Or I've been planning,
-
I've been but howway I got lost? Well, it's very simple.
-
You need to recalibrala. You know you driveways. You know
-
how confident we are right now we waste that even
-
if we make the wrong turn, we will still content
-
you driving. I remember the days before WESA. The moment
-
you make wrong thing, you stop the calnel. Now there's
-
no such thing. You know where he's wrong with Jay?
-
Come forth? Something wrong somewhere, even if it's thirty minutes.
-
You're like a ya a yah, and you have no idea?
-
So much confidence? Friends, can we recalibrate with God? Some
-
study three eleven says the counsel of the Lord stands
-
forever the plans of his heart to all generations. God's counsel.
-
Why do we pray? Why do we trust him? Why
-
do you know? Church pastors all say, why don't you
-
listen to God and trust him? Don't listen to any
-
counsel out there. Listen to God's counselor where else you
-
get God's counsel In the church, with the people who
-
are believers, so speak the same lingo, understand the same thing. No, no, no,
-
I must go listen to some guru out there. Go
-
and listen. Now, I don't know what counsel. You'll be
-
getting very dangerous, No, very dangerous. Right, look nineteen nine times,
-
says Jesus said to him. Today, today's salvation has come
-
to this house because this man too is the son
-
of Abraham. Hey, friends, if you're a loss, are you
-
want to know the cool thing? Because worse stances for
-
the son of man came to seek and save the loss?
-
Are you lost today? Jesus's main goal is to look
-
for people who are lost. Can that be your confidence
-
that you won't get lost? Because Christ will can't look
-
for you as long as you keep close to him. Yes,
-
you may not fully understand what's happening right now. You
-
may not fully you know, feel you know, like things
-
are perfect. It's okay, remain abide in him. Jesus never
-
promises that it will be, you know, rainbows and sunshines
-
every time. No, he didn't promise that. No, but he
-
promised that I'll be with you always. What are we
-
looking for? Right? You're gotta trust in God's plan. That's
-
where the confidence come. How come I got confident after
-
that to say, oh, this is definitely God's thing because
-
I've experienced him many times. How do you get confidence
-
in something because you experience Him many times? Do you
-
know that if I've never experienced God provide in different things,
-
If I never experience God provide for the renovations, I
-
will not have the confidence. But because I experienced him myself,
-
you can come and say coincidence. I can tell you
-
that's why you want believe up to you. I believe
-
it's God, and I've seen how it is not coincidence.
-
Every single step He guides. We got to have the confidence. Friends.
-
The only way we have the confidence is to continue
-
to believe in God and walk in Him and experience him.
-
No other way of friends. Let me give you something
-
that I've learned recently. You know why Jesus didn't say, hey,
-
you want to be a believer. You come, you join
-
a church, you join a community, you listen to a
-
passerpreation on Sunday, and that's it. Do you know why
-
the commandment is go and make disciples, because when your
-
disciples you have to walk together. It is one thing
-
to do theory. It is another thing to have practical.
-
This is something I've learned. People who walk in faith
-
understand because they walk in faith. It is very hard
-
to learn faith from here on the pulpit. You don't
-
experience it, you will know. But those who walk in
-
faith and experience it, they understand. There's some of you
-
here when I'm sharing down this testimon you understand because
-
you wentry before, because you walked in it. It's not
-
just theory to you, is practical through the small and
-
the God will give you the big because as you're
-
faithful over the little things, He'll make you ruler over
-
many other things. You can share it not it's on
-
scriptural right. Ephesians one eleven says in him also we
-
obtain an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of
-
Him who works all things according to the counsel of
-
his will. Romans eight twenty eight three says, and we
-
know that all things work together. Please remember this scripture.
-
We know that all things work together for good to
-
those who love God. Do you love God this morning?
-
All things will work together for you if you love God.
-
It is not about how perfect you are, not about
-
how frequently you come for homes. No, you love God,
-
it will happen to you because right people who love
-
God will come to homes regularly. It's not about that.
-
Asa You'll see how I shifted around. It's true. You
-
love got your come service. Nobody's going to force you. You
-
love God yourself. It is not about hitting a target. Friends,
-
don't be misled. Don't be misled. Know that all things
-
work together for good, right to those who love God,
-
to those who are called according to His purpose. All
-
of you are called according to his purpose. But are
-
we aligning to his purpose? That's the question. Philippin's one
-
say says, being confident of this very thing, that he
-
who has begun a good work in you will complete
-
it until the day of Jesus Christ. That's why it's
-
a continuous work. No no different ones here. Some of
-
you are new believers, some of you are believable for
-
a long time. Hey, the work has not ended. Now
-
still continue You know all the way, You're not perfect.
-
That's why we grow together. That's why it's a disciple
-
ship process. Right. I don't think Slena, imagine her that
-
she one day lead exampunk, but she's been doing how
-
many years city. Five years yesterday are very interesting. I
-
was on the way to someone's wedding and one of
-
the feels so omen one of the one of the
-
campus student asked me faster. Have you ever always want
-
to be a faster I'm like, wow, that's such a
-
loaded question. Man. I had to like no, no, and
-
I wear capful of course whatever I say. And then
-
after that I believe that like oh no, living a
-
person around friends. I never imagine a lot of things
-
I'm doing right now. But let me share if you
-
one thing that I think Lena also agree. The only
-
thing I did was continue walking record, continue being faithful,
-
continuing saying yes to him. It's tough lot by by
-
I know it's you continue submitting to my leaders and
-
submitting to my discipler. That is the continuous thing. Everything
-
else came later on, right, and that's my encouragement to you.
-
Let me end with this. Let me share a testimony.
-
This guy called Edison Wilson. Some of you know him
-
as Jesus because he was Jesus in our Easter play.
-
I think two years back. He's right now in Canada.
-
He is a refugee. Okay, And I end with this
-
he's a refugee that came to Malaysia I think six
-
years ago, right, just different things from that happening in
-
Pakistan and then he came all the way here with
-
his family and he's been with us for six years.
-
He was in Malaysia, he went through a very difficult time,
-
hated the country, went through depression. We all wanted to
-
I think wanted himself a few times. And he was
-
working as a security guard and true different things that happened.
-
He actually relocated to Suban. That's how we found out
-
about him. And I remember this one experience where passes
-
Sanny called me, asked me to go to the office
-
and say, Elvin, we've got someone who's a refugee, you know,
-
rather than just helping, you know, we're thinking maybe you
-
can offer the person job. And see a person does media, right, then,
-
why don't you fly fish take him up? Friends? Can
-
I be very honest you I'm super honest. Okay, I'm like, huh,
-
I really so busy? You're gonna pass me a foreigner
-
to take care of as busy as I am? Friends?
-
These two years ago and I'm like, but no choice,
-
A bossy do doula? But I'm not happier. Yeah, let
-
me were honest, right, So two weeks take him and
-
do you know our friends, I've been taking care of
-
interns and I've been running a verbumb for Where long
-
are you when someone come and say that they're very
-
good at what they do, you don't know it at
-
true or not? Another thing? Hey Pakistani, No, I don't
-
know Uru. No, I don't know how. I don't know
-
how well he knows English, you know, and I have
-
to basically crack my head to figure out something for
-
him to do in the office. It's much easier to
-
hire someone who knows what they're doing. It is more
-
work to get someone who don't know anything. Two weeks came,
-
I said, okay, try fast forward three years later. Right
-
Edison has become a key member in our organization. Righte know,
-
right fully trust him to handle you know, all the
-
emptygs that you hear on a weekly basis. He edits
-
everything and one of the testimonies he tells me is
-
that his transformative processor. Because recently we were able to
-
interview him, he said, every time he listens to emptyga,
-
God is speaking to him, and because of that, his
-
mind changed a lot of things change. He went from
-
a person who's fearful to a person who's like, if
-
I'm going to be a refuge in Lasia, then I
-
better do things right. He went for three years. He
-
never pursued any paperwork, he never pursued anything. They all
-
live in fear all the time. But after being with us,
-
disciple shape no choice man every day see it. They
-
definitely have two disciples on ma right every day? See
-
it confirmed le top one. Right. That's the wonderful thing
-
about Christians, you know, or I will say, ay, you
-
hang out with us, not enough you become like one
-
of us. That's how Nicole got safe as right. He
-
will know that. Right. Isn't that a powerful culture? So
-
no choice? Are And if I see him about family,
-
about his wife, about everything, and he's grown so much. Right.
-
So the testimony is this guy from someone who I'm like,
-
you don't know how came to someone that's close to me.
-
He's now in Canada. Right. If you understand refugee, you
-
know that a lot of them stay in Latia for
-
very long. I want to get relicated, right heart. His
-
process was three years. I'm not saying we did anything.
-
Now I'm saying God did a lot of things. God
-
did a lot of things like restart his family. He
-
saw his life. Then recently he just shed He said
-
he used to smoke, stress, smoke all. You know, how
-
he quits smoking. He became Jesus in the play He's Small.
-
Apparently he smoked for one year and none of us
-
knew about it. Okay, right, he smoked and then we
-
don't know. And then he told me recently he told
-
me know, I'm like, I didn't know this. Ever, he said,
-
you know, I decided to quit smoking because I was
-
gonna play Jesus. And he never really understood baptism and
-
church and he said no extras to rechanged his life.
-
He's a Christian for many many years. I think his
-
dad is social, a minister and all these different things are.
-
But he came here, he saw the culture, he saw
-
different things are. He changed his life. So let me
-
tell you the testimony of how he quit smoking. He
-
he was gonna be cast as Jesus, and why we
-
cast him because he looks like the middle. It's not okay,
-
So that's why. And then what happened was like he's like, hey,
-
I think I need to go for baptism because I
-
cannot do this and still be dirty. I need to
-
cleanse myself. He went, He got baptized. Immediately he quit
-
smoking because he said he cannot be a Jesus at smoking.
-
Until today he elshie. In fact, after that, right he
-
started his fitness journey or so you know, I'm very
-
thankful for him. So because ever since I started going
-
to the gym every day, he remind me going to
-
gymnast doing gymna every day. So partially my decip worship
-
for Jim is because of him. God gave him a child.
-
The day he found out his wife was pregnant was
-
also the day he got a call for relocation. Friends,
-
it was not his plan to come to Blasia, and
-
it was not his plan to come to He was
-
not his plan to work here. It was not his plan.
-
He came to a point, now, where can I be
-
honest with you? Before relocation, He's like, you know what
-
a lot there'd be one thing to have a child
-
for bair long, but they decided they because of fear
-
and all, like, oh, I don't know after you affect
-
the process. But he came to the point and said, okay, God,
-
if you caught me here. I will stay. I know
-
it's tough. Bye, okay, because you've changed my life, You've
-
changed and we will try anyway. So they were open
-
to have a kid after that. But godhead other plans me.
-
This brother has a desire to maybe plan a church.
-
Then I mean, we're going to see how whatether it
-
works ex Canada. I'm telling you so that you can
-
pray and see what happens. We're not sure. We're not sure.
-
Some you got hard for Canada. Let me know. We'll
-
see how. Not just that, he also recently come and said,
-
you know what, since I want to go there and
-
I don't want to be far apart. I want to
-
be discipled. So he recently also said, hey, pass because
-
we're talking a lot, can you disciple? I'm like, okay,
-
let's see how they goes long distant relationship, very difficult,
-
Let's see how. But he's doing very well then, right,
-
He's not just going alone. He has six other five members.
-
It's fully reliable, all still in their one challenge from problem.
-
But he is transform Did I know that God will
-
give me a team member that I will actually miss? No,
-
I thought it was a burden, but go ahead the plans.
-
So what is it that he's in your plan that
-
you're not committing to the law? Friends? Can I encourage you?
-
You know when you follow Jesus and it's very exciting,
-
it's very exciting, good and bad kind of exciting. One
-
so away and I heard everything. So what do I
-
do now? Well? And he got one encreagement for you
-
Second Corinthians five seven before we walk by faith and
-
not by sign. So what do you do? Well? Just
-
keep walking.
-
