  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. So we will relations chapter two.

  4. We're gonna start from verse twelve all the way to

  5. verse seventeen.

  6. Okay, I have your bibles. You can go there.

  7. Chapter two, verse twelve, and it says from the title

  8. the compromising Church, Okay, some of you, the title will

  9. be the Church in Pergramas. Okay, now verse twelve and

  10. to the Angel of the Church in Pergramos. Right these things,

  11. says he who has the sharp two edged sword.

  12. And Jesus says.

  13. I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's

  14. throne is, And you hold fast to my name, and

  15. do not deny my faith, even in the days in

  16. which anti purse was my faithful martyr who was killed.

  17. You where Satan dwells. But I have a few things

  18. against you, because you have there those who hold the

  19. doctrine of Baleen, who taught Ballach to put a stumbling

  20. block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed

  21. to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. Thus you also

  22. have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which

  23. things I hate repent or else, I will come to

  24. you quickly and will fight against them with the sword

  25. of my mouth. He who has an ear, let him

  26. hear what the spirit say is to the churches. To

  27. him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden

  28. manner to it, and I will give him a white stone,

  29. and on the stone a new name written, which no

  30. one knows except him who receives it.

  31. That's the reading of God's word. Wow.

  32. Ay, a lot of things to be unpacked here. So

  33. so some of you, if you have gone through some

  34. of the series that are the first two churches that

  35. I talked about, you know when all these letters have

  36. some similarities, have some pattern that we can observe. The

  37. first thing we can observe is that the introduction of

  38. the author. Notice that it is the same person but

  39. a different title that Jesus gives to the different churches. Okay,

  40. same person, but different title. Jesus assigns a different title

  41. to different churches. Okay for himself. Okay, So what kind

  42. of title did Jesus carry when he addresses the church

  43. in pergramas?

  44. Okay, he didn't say I am.

  45. Jesus, lover of your soul, Jesus, the good Shepherd, Jesus,

  46. the one who heals. No, he specifically chose the title

  47. as the one who has the sharp two edged sword.

  48. How many of you like Jesus to appear before you

  49. as the one who appears with the two shop.

  50. That's not my Jesus, That's not my Jesus.

  51. My Jesus is the one I listened on Spotify music,

  52. the goodness of God, who loves me, who will never

  53. forsake me. But Jesus says, I'm the one who has

  54. the too sharp edged sword. You know why this is

  55. important to teach ourselves and to teach uh You know

  56. those who are you have influence with, you know under

  57. your care your children. Why because nowadays Christians only have

  58. room for one version of Jesus. I'm not saying that

  59. Jesus changes, but I'm just saying that Jesus in the

  60. Bible does appear with different titles and with different purpose.

  61. You understand why I'm saying not, because if you do

  62. not understand who Jesus revealed himself at that season and time,

  63. you will miss the message, as the most of the

  64. Israelites miss Jesus when he appeared in the flesh.

  65. They were expecting someone else.

  66. Still were expecting a ruler, a conquering king, but they

  67. didn't expect someone who would right on the donkey and

  68. be re crucified on the cross, and then missed the

  69. entire message. You didn't say what I'm saying now, it's

  70. so important to understand at that season, how is Jesus

  71. revealing himself? You know what I'm saying. It's so important. Okay,

  72. So it's not jesus fault. It's not the Bible's fault.

  73. It's our fault because we did not see. We cannot

  74. perceive the time and the season. So this church or

  75. the church in programmers, Jesus has revealed himself as the

  76. one who has the sharp two edged sword.

  77. So what does it symbolize? What does it?

  78. What kind of Why did Jesus reveal himself as a

  79. person who is carrying such a lethal weapon. And if

  80. a person shows up in your life and carrying a

  81. two edged sword, how would you feel. You must understand

  82. that sorts have different types. You know, when you cut,

  83. when you use a sword to cut sashimi, it's only

  84. one edged.

  85. You don't see a two edges? How many if you

  86. have two edges sort in your kitchen. One.

  87. No, you're gonna hurt yourself. Ah, it doesn't work. You

  88. only have one edged sword in the kitchen because you

  89. only need one side.

  90. But a two edged sword is for wa. Okay.

  91. If someone carries a two edged sword to you, means

  92. this war means Jesus is doing battle.

  93. You get mistand I saw some of you.

  94. If you understand that, Wow, the Jesus is appearing to

  95. the church and it's gonna do battle.

  96. Is it against the church? Is it with the church? Ah?

  97. There's another question to answer, isn't it. It's a very

  98. important thing.

  99. You know.

  100. If Jesus appears in your life and says that, hey,

  101. this is the word that I want to release to you.

  102. I'm appearing in your life as the one with a

  103. two edged sword. What does it mean? Is it to

  104. do to wage war? The two edges so also means

  105. one thing to cut.

  106. And to divide.

  107. There's a season that Jesus will cut and divide those

  108. who are with me and those who are not with me.

  109. Division.

  110. God from day one is in the business of division.

  111. Make no mistake division and separation.

  112. Do you believe me? Oh?

  113. Yeah, there cannot be I thought God is one and

  114. united and all, we're not separating. Look at Genesis Day one?

  115. What did God do separated light from darkness?

  116. Then what else?

  117. The firmaments among the firmaments, the lands and the seas,

  118. always dividing, separating. Before there's division, there will convey no life.

  119. Oh there's a very deep thing, isn't it. There must

  120. be separation. So as Christians were called to separate as well.

  121. You can't mean right. You live in the world by

  122. a not office world. But if you do not consecrate

  123. the life that God intends for, you cannot come to

  124. life as well. You can say what I'm saying now,

  125. how many of you try to plan things in your gardener?

  126. What your soil and the water all missed together, completely

  127. submerg one? It doesn't they cannot You can mean right,

  128. There must be a division light and light, day and day.

  129. Even your own life you separate it. So all your

  130. things you do in a nighttime, you're doing at nighttime.

  131. The things you do in the daytime you do in

  132. the daytime as well. So separation is very, very very important.

  133. But in the spiritual rem as for separation, it's really

  134. really important as well. Jesus comes to wage better, but

  135. he comes to wage better because there must be a

  136. clear separation that happens in the church, not just in

  137. the church, in your our own lives as well. So

  138. one of the things I want to ask in twenty

  139. twenty five is there gonna be a clear separation that

  140. God sees in our lives? You know what I'm saying? No,

  141. what did you learn in twenty twenty four? That's going

  142. to get you to clearly separate what is meant for God?

  143. And what is all the world? Did you see anything?

  144. Did you learn anything? Is God teaching you something? He's

  145. warning you something? Don't get mixed up? Makes sense? Ah,

  146. so serious, and he twenty five her. But it's true,

  147. isn't it. You gotta really is when you it's not

  148. about making new your resolutions not it's about learning what

  149. twenty twenty four, twenty twenty three, the years passed, the

  150. twenty ten, like you make sure that you separate. You

  151. want life, you want blessings. Make sure there is separation.

  152. Make sure there is a separation. It's very, very, very important.

  153. So God comes into this church in Pergoms and he says, see,

  154. I bring a shop to edge your sword and inverse

  155. thir thing.

  156. He says what he.

  157. Knows your works and knows you do see when you

  158. clear separation, you have become very aware. God is so

  159. aware of where we are. He aware we are aware,

  160. you d well what your circumstances. He knows exactly what

  161. you and I do. When he says he knows, he's

  162. just not all away. He knows what is right and

  163. what is wrong. Do you you know what you did?

  164. But did you know what is right and what's wrong

  165. intentionally and intentionally?

  166. You see?

  167. There are things that were seeing intentionally that we know,

  168. but there are also things were seeing unintentionally that we

  169. don't know about.

  170. But has it been brought to your attention? You get

  171. mean right?

  172. So when David prayed, I said that I forgive me

  173. for the since I've done and also those things that

  174. I do not know of.

  175. You know, you know I mean right?

  176. The things that we were foolish that we do, that

  177. they were sinful. You can't mean right. And if you

  178. continue doing things ignorantly they were sinfle means you have

  179. not grown up. You know what I'm saying. That's why

  180. parenting we teach other. Do you know that you did wrong.

  181. You don't know, so don't do it now. You get

  182. me right. Parenting doesn't stop just because you were ignorant enough,

  183. true or not. God, the children are up, but we

  184. have to tell them so that you don't continue acting foolish.

  185. I did not pulling this thing because no, I'm gonna

  186. tell you what it is right now that you do wrong.

  187. Stop doing it.

  188. No, just because I didn't know, I can do Supuma,

  189. No such thing one you got mean? Right, So we

  190. gotta build awareness. You know what we did, what we

  191. did know, and what we didn't know. Have you grown

  192. in their understanding? So?

  193. God?

  194. He says here in verse thirty, God says, I know

  195. your works. That's the first clear separation happened in your lives.

  196. I know what you do and where you dwell, okay,

  197. And he said, where you don't miss your circumstances that

  198. surrounds you. God knows the circumstances that surrounds you, whether

  199. it's difficult, whether it's full of dumb, whether it's full

  200. of persecution. God knows exactly where you are, and he

  201. knows what kind of spiritual state there is. So much

  202. or so much sag is. God says that this is

  203. where Satan's throwne is. There's a spiritual historical reference okay,

  204. where Satan's thrown is. Okay, and he says there in

  205. the next verse, and you hold fast to my name

  206. and did not deny my faith in it, even in

  207. the days in which Anthropus was my faithful martyr who

  208. was killed among you, where Satan dwells that God knows, okay,

  209. what you did that's faithful. There are things that we

  210. do they are coming out of pure faith.

  211. Makes sense or not.

  212. God knows, God separates, God examines, and he knows. Even

  213. the most critical thing that happened to this community was

  214. that that one of their leader was called Antipas, was

  215. actually martyred. Programmers again, now this I try not to

  216. go too much into some of this nerdy stuff, Okay,

  217. that I know.

  218. Okay, Okay.

  219. Programs is a very famous city. Okay, it's just not

  220. too far off from Ephesus, Okay. But the more important

  221. thing you should know is that it's a very religious city,

  222. very very religious, so religious that you know, and it okay,

  223. let me drop it. It's really rare religious and it's

  224. set up on a heel for military purposes. And if

  225. you have my slide. You can see some of the

  226. picture there. Next one. Ah, So that programs still exists

  227. today in modern Turkey. Okay, it still exists today in

  228. modern Turkey. You can still go and check it out

  229. on this are actually exact ruins. So it's situated on

  230. the hill.

  231. Very nice. Oh, how many of you wouldn't mind a

  232. house on the hill?

  233. Wake up and then everything is everything and you just

  234. you wake up the first day in just looking down

  235. everything else. But they were like that beautiful Okay, and

  236. any more lines that have the next one?

  237. Okay.

  238. So Pergamos was known uh uh for a lot of

  239. religion and also the pagan worship and one of the

  240. famous day uh pagan gods.

  241. The worship of course was Zeus.

  242. And this thing. How many of you are familiar with that?

  243. How many of you have seen this before? You know

  244. what there is?

  245. It's not library, it's not a university. Okay.

  246. That is actually called the alter Altar of Zeus. Okay,

  247. Alter of Zeus. Okay, this is a replica. They actually

  248. have an actual one.

  249. Okay. The Order of Zeus was where.

  250. There were was actually the main place of the heart

  251. of the city where they were offered a lot of sacrifices.

  252. Okay.

  253. At that time they didn't have jaya grocer, village grocer. Okay,

  254. the food. First, all the food was brought up to

  255. the top of the hill, all for every cattle because

  256. their pagan wasshi, most of the food were brought up

  257. to the top of the hill before they were so

  258. they will first being killed and sacrificed on this altar

  259. and then distributed to the lower to the different places

  260. to be sold. So that was the first place they

  261. would do it. Okay, So that was one of the sacrifices.

  262. There are many other sacrifices, so.

  263. They will do that.

  264. And this altar of Zeus is also called by the

  265. Bible as the seat of Setan.

  266. So big.

  267. Oh, anyone of you curious, are you know that we

  268. actually have modern leaders, world leaders who are very fascinated

  269. with this this particular throne. You know, you want to

  270. know who is it, who you know who is actually

  271. very interested in this particular seat, who actually historically when

  272. it actually visited and wanted replica of this. Okay, I'm

  273. not some conspiracy theories now, Okay, I don't want to

  274. say conspiracy theories, but I just read it but you

  275. can make up it. Barack Obama was very interested in this,

  276. very interested. Okay, I'll stop there already. I don't want

  277. to go into conspiracy theories and stuff like that. People

  278. excuse me past the Okay, I'm gonna stick to it. Okay,

  279. I don't want At the end of the day, nobody knows.

  280. Only God will review in time.

  281. Okay.

  282. I can expeculate it as much, but only God review.

  283. I'm not saying that he's the anti crisis at PIASA.

  284. Far from it. Actually, in my opinion, I don't think

  285. he is. In my own personal opinion, he's someone else.

  286. I think it's a stronger candidate. But anyway, there's another

  287. time someone else is someone I feel it is. But

  288. we will see a lot more clearer in the next

  289. five years. The next five years is a very crucial year.

  290. The next five years. All eyes not on the never

  291. put your eyes on the US. Always look at the

  292. Middle East, Always at the Middle East. Everything comes from

  293. the Middle East.

  294. Okay.

  295. The Bible was written North Americans, Okay, Nor for European

  296. norm Malaysias. Always for the Israelites, okay. Always see things

  297. from dead lens always now, Okay, anyone saw this distracted. Okay.

  298. So there was the altar of Zeus. Let's move on, Okay,

  299. let's move on.

  300. Okay.

  301. So Antipus was one of the martyrs, okay, and who

  302. was killed because they will not participate in some of

  303. the rituals, and Jesus actually accused them what they actually

  304. did wrong. And then in verse fourteen, it says, but

  305. I have a few things against you because you have

  306. there those who hold the doctrine of baalim. Okay, I'm

  307. gonna spend most of the time talking about this who

  308. taught Ballad to put a stumbling block before the children

  309. of Israel, to eat things sacrifice to idols, and to

  310. commit sexual immorality. Thus you also have those call the

  311. doctrine of the Nicolatins, which things I hate.

  312. Okay.

  313. Let's pause there for a one. So let's just get

  314. something out of the way first.

  315. Okay.

  316. So the first thing is some of you like what

  317. you know, why is there a contradicting teaching, because Jesus

  318. is clearly accusing them and saying that what they did

  319. wrong was they eat the things sacrificed to idols.

  320. Okay.

  321. I thought if you read in the book of a

  322. Book of Corinthians and the Book of Romans that Paul

  323. said that eating full sacrifice the eid is not wrong,

  324. but if your conscience is okay, technically you did not

  325. say it, But yeah, Jesus is putting guilt on them

  326. for eating it.

  327. So can eat? Or can I eat? How? So okay?

  328. It cannot eat? How do we reconcile? Anybody asked that

  329. question and reconsilt it before? Or you like, just leave

  330. it to the pastor they reconcilting hal you have you

  331. thought about it before? Hey, Paul, say okay, now Jesus

  332. say cannot what cannot?

  333. Cannot eat? Can? Or can?

  334. Don't?

  335. Some of you you, maybe your family is dipped into

  336. Chinese traditions, maybe some of these ghost festival you know,

  337. there's things like that.

  338. How eat or not eat? Oh? That's your home faster

  339. too much like you? How can I eat? Can you not?

  340. Who says can it? Who says can I eat? Who's

  341. too scared to eat? They're scared? Who wants to know? How?

  342. Okay?

  343. Technically you can't eat. Technically you can eat, but there

  344. are two ways that you eat.

  345. That is wrong.

  346. It's not just about what you eat, but how you

  347. participate into it. Okay, that's very very important. The first

  348. way that you eat food that is offered poorly state

  349. that is wrong and simple is that when you eat

  350. even though it's okay, but someone is not okay, and

  351. that's one falls because of your liberty. Then what you're

  352. doing is not technically wrong, but it's stumbling to others.

  353. You do not do an immediate scein or a primary scene.

  354. You committed a secondary scene causing someone to stumble.

  355. That is not good. That's not edifying.

  356. Because your responsibility as believers, it's not just to edify yourself,

  357. it's to edify others as well.

  358. Understand or not.

  359. It's very very important, en, now you know what I'm saying. No,

  360. it's very very very important. Now someone said, oh I

  361. can drink wine, but I can think and find my

  362. kids all the time. Then my kids are so tempted

  363. to give my kids.

  364. I don't dream.

  365. You cat mean right, You can't mean just because you're okay.

  366. Then you let your kids like that. There's a fault.

  367. That's your fault. There.

  368. You have, you have you are irresponsible.

  369. So if some if my brother, even though he may

  370. not understand, he may not go into full maturity. You're

  371. understanding the liberty, the Christians and joy. There's only one God.

  372. I do a nothing, That's what Paul says. I just

  373. a nothing. Whatever they we eat, will we thanks to

  374. the Lord? It belongs to the Lord. Already I have

  375. this faith, I've grown to this understanding. My conscience is clear.

  376. But if someone is not there, I'm not. I am

  377. not slave to my right. I meant slave to my

  378. brother's welfare. I understand I'm not beholden to my rights.

  379. A lot of people are just carrying about my rights,

  380. my privilege. No, God said no, you're not safe to there.

  381. You're stave to your brother's welfare. God holds us accountable

  382. for that. So that is the first instance where what

  383. we do, even though permissible, it can also be wrong.

  384. And that's saying why I'm saying now, it's good, it's acceptable,

  385. but it's not perfect, and if you go far enough,

  386. it can be wrong and stumbling as well. That's the

  387. first instance makes sense makes sense now, So if you

  388. so when you eat, it's not just about so what

  389. it teaches that you don't just consider about who you

  390. are the people around you are.

  391. Wait, No, my first priority in this world is to love, to.

  392. Love God as you love yourself, than to love your neighbors.

  393. More important, It's not about enjoying what whatever you cannot.

  394. Oh go you I eat? I know.

  395. No, it's about my neighbors. There's multiple even if they

  396. don't share. Even there they're lacking.

  397. It's okay. I read the go down, I ride a

  398. step down. You get what I'm saying. That's why.

  399. Why do you think our parents are sometimes that you

  400. don't get to eat what you like to eat with

  401. your with your kids.

  402. Why not? You know? Like, for example, I give you

  403. a I went to Thailand.

  404. I think this one time. I win there for a holiday.

  405. You know, when I went there, I came back. You

  406. know what I wanted to eat came into measure. I

  407. want to eat high food. You what it just came

  408. back from Thailand, Yes, I came. I came back from Tilant.

  409. I wanted to eat high food. You're like, why because

  410. when I went there, my kids don't want to eat

  411. high food, so they eat.

  412. Just efficient chaps and pizzas.

  413. So I went to Thailand to eat western food and

  414. I came back wanting to eat high food.

  415. You don't saying what I'm saying. You're all like, yeah,

  416. I know what you mean. I did that to my

  417. dad for my parents. Also, you don't say what I'm saying.

  418. You don't say what I'm saying.

  419. You know, it's like, oh, I like to eat the backrap,

  420. you know, whatever you want to eat, but I cannot

  421. eat because why because your love for children? You don't

  422. want to suffer or be dragged alone.

  423. I don't. I watched that eat. I don't want to eat.

  424. You know, so you hear what they eat, I suffer.

  425. I was like, oh, I feel like when theyre I

  426. didn't wain to Thailand or I went to another country.

  427. You know, I was eating hotel for not tigphood. And

  428. know it's like you don't say what I'm saying, but

  429. you go down to their level so that they enjoy.

  430. No I enjoy.

  431. Ah.

  432. That is the life of a Christian. It's not about

  433. you enjoying. It's about artists enjoying. But because a lot

  434. of times we want to enjoy so much, why is

  435. it that I might sacrifice for other people to enjoy

  436. that I don't enjoy. But when you suffer, you party

  437. in christ you don't understand it. Life is a lot

  438. about suffering. But in suffering you connect with God. You don't

  439. say what I'm saying. No, in suffering we drove closer

  440. to God. There is a point in that. Now you

  441. understand what God gives. Now you're under Strength's heart. By

  442. giving up something that you you are entitled to, you

  443. can I can go there and you all the typhoon

  444. I want. I said you, guys, I do you feel

  445. some money? You can and buy your own food. It's

  446. a parate table, a different timing. You can do whatever

  447. you want. It's entirely within my right. But yet I

  448. missed the point. You seeing what I'm saying now makes sense.

  449. I don't take to what's the second one? That's clearly wrong?

  450. What's the second way of eating the idols? Met?

  451. That was wrong? Okay? See ya? What we just now

  452. weed communion?

  453. Right? If you take this bread and you put it

  454. give it to a non Christian friend, okay, and he

  455. didn't know about it, and they ate the bread, maybe

  456. like maybe we didn't have the small bread, locky, Maybe

  457. he's imagine we have a bigger bread lacking and then

  458. they were hungry as like all they just quickly took

  459. get it does they made him a Christian? Why not

  460. you just say grace already, Selina, Mikey, holy bread? Does

  461. that make that per person become a Christian?

  462. Ready? No? Right, no way make them a Christians? There?

  463. But if your friend comes here, here's a sermon. Touch hey,

  464. I want the bread, and the person eats the bread

  465. in that everyone, here's the non the confession, the prayer,

  466. and identifies himself or herself when eating the bread with

  467. every meaning of it?

  468. Does that make them a person a Christian? Yes? What's

  469. the difference in eating the bread? Then? Is the bread holier? Here? No?

  470. You see, there is a way when you eat you

  471. just want nourishment, but there's a way you eat when

  472. you identify yourself. Totally different. It is when you eat.

  473. And then you said commit sexual immorality. They go together,

  474. and I said, not always, but it's when you eat,

  475. when you party together to identify yourself with them. It's

  476. so diff go to become a Christian, to be excluded

  477. for everything. You can do a lot of things. I mean,

  478. I thought before you guys, the Christians cannot do a

  479. lot of things. At that time they were poor. But

  480. the only way you can accept is to identify with them,

  481. so eating becomes not just about eating. Eating's about I'm

  482. trying to, you know it being as a Christian, So

  483. I'm trying to maybe partly identify with them so that

  484. I can have access to a lot more things. It's

  485. a different thing. So that is the one that God

  486. has a problem with. As God has given us bread,

  487. we also have to understand the communion with the world

  488. as well.

  489. Understand it.

  490. Not it's the eating that is in communion with the

  491. world that is wrong. Understand not because God has given

  492. you communion, you know, not unidentify with the world. You

  493. identify with Christ, who died for you, whose broady was

  494. broken for you. You all, how can you substitute that

  495. with the world.

  496. You get me, right?

  497. It defiles what He has done for you. Understand what

  498. I'm saying. That is why it is wrong.

  499. It is evil. It defiles what God done for us.

  500. Makes sense? Y? Yeah, I didn't want teaching or READI

  501. want y Yeah. Can I'm convinced on us and not. Huh.

  502. It's how you eat it, Okay, it's how you eat it.

  503. Very very very important conscience, you know, even if you

  504. That's why I say you take the break, you give

  505. it to your friend doesn't mean that immediately. A Christian,

  506. you know understand I'm saying. You know, it's the same way.

  507. It's the communion and how we identify it's very very important.

  508. So you cannot eat it out foolishness as well.

  509. Oh I don't know. I was just having they're having

  510. fun their ritual and stuff like that. Ah, I just

  511. think it. No, But being in there you are also

  512. part of them as well. You can't mean right. So

  513. how you attach yourself willingly, unknowingly, you know, voluntarily or not.

  514. You you can attach yourself without being full hearted, but

  515. yet connected when you know so, be very very careful

  516. as well. So that leads us to the next thing

  517. which I wanted to teach about as well, which is

  518. it talks about the doctrine of Baylim. This is where

  519. I want to spend the most time on. Okay, so

  520. let's read reread Okay. It says in verst war things,

  521. I have a thing, a few things against you which

  522. you have there those who hold the doctrine of Baylim. Now,

  523. how many of you who knows who Baylim is? Who

  524. is Baylim? It's not a big boss or no, it's

  525. not a Jedi Jeed, no star wars bat guy.

  526. Okay, sounds like you you know who is Batim?

  527. Who was Baylim? New Testament? Old Testament first? Okay, at

  528. least we got that right man. At least I got

  529. that right Old Testament?

  530. Okay?

  531. Who who was the prophet at that time? Getting closer?

  532. Who was the prophet at that time?

  533. Moses?

  534. We're all done getting closer already. At least you're not

  535. narrow your mind are okay? Okay, now time zone already? Okay,

  536. you in Moses time?

  537. Okay.

  538. So BAYLM was a prophet. Okay, I don't go too

  539. too much, but give you a contact. BAYLM was a prophet.

  540. But there was also another bad guy. Was a bad

  541. guy's name black Ballah was a king.

  542. Okay.

  543. Bah was a king and he was afraid of the

  544. Israelites and he wanted he They were a dread to

  545. Ballah and the people.

  546. Okay, So what did Ballah do with Balim?

  547. He heard Baylam was a guy who was you know,

  548. whatever did he say? You know, God hears and his

  549. word will come to pass. He's powerful, Okay, He's a

  550. very powerful person. So he invited Bayleem okay to curse

  551. the Israelites. Why wild Bayleim entertain that unless there's something

  552. in the exchange that he wants as well. Okay, what

  553. does Baalem want?

  554. Money? Money?

  555. He's actually greedy. Okay, Baylam was actually very greedy. Okay,

  556. so he wanted money. But God had warned him instantly

  557. not to curse the Israelites, so Baylim knew.

  558. He's smart.

  559. You know, he is a perfect case of how Christians

  560. like too, although we are safe ready, we try to

  561. play with flyers, play with fire as close as before

  562. we get burned. And that same what I'm saying. He

  563. is the perfect case study of Christians like to play fire.

  564. How far and how how close?

  565. You know, all these permissible doings that I can do

  566. before I get burned? How far near it to the

  567. edge I can work before I father? It's a perfect case. Okay,

  568. it's a Christian that do it. It's like, oh wow, okay,

  569. so Baylim, Okay, he knew that, you know, because God

  570. told him, and even the donkeys spoke to him, you know,

  571. before he knows you.

  572. You know, even the donkeys.

  573. You know, the donkeys saw an angel before on the

  574. road there. Some of you will know this famous story. Okay,

  575. God that want him not to do it, So Baylum

  576. learn his lessen. No, I'm not gonna do it. I

  577. think three times okay, three times okay, Ballad I invited

  578. Baylim to curse. I think it's two times. God could

  579. be wrong. I apologize okay, So he couldn't curse. Instead

  580. a cursing, he blessed Israel. Ballah was so frustrated. Whah

  581. invited you to do it? Don't you see the riches?

  582. You know? When Ballah was very Ballah was very smart.

  583. And when he sent for people to invite Ballad, he

  584. sent a whole group of people. You know, hey, how

  585. many of you want to be invited or courted by

  586. a whole big emissary?

  587. So feel so good? You know, all start getting you know,

  588. come and see you.

  589. You know, he knows how to appeal to you as well.

  590. You know, but he didn't. He couldn't do it.

  591. But Baalem started a new doctrine. Okay, I cannot curse Israel.

  592. So what did he teach Ballad to do? If I

  593. cannot curse them, get the Israelites to curse themselves? Mm hmm.

  594. And that's what the devil will do to us as well.

  595. The devil knows that we are Christians sanctified. Okay, no authority.

  596. He cannot curse us, but he can tempt us to

  597. get us to curse ourselves with the heart.

  598. There is next level, man, there's next level of fans. Man.

  599. What in the world get them to fall on their

  600. own needs? You know, no, get them get the is

  601. Rest to curse themselves. So I say, indirect tactic by

  602. still attacking. So what did they do? So Beno said,

  603. seduce them, the Israelites with the morbid women's seduce them

  604. and get them to commit adult tree and then commit

  605. a tree. Then they will worship all the different idols

  606. I don't worship. And then they will curse themselves and

  607. God will not be with them. That is how they

  608. get the Israelt to curse themselves. I'm saying what I'm saying.

  609. So a lot of times we think, hey, our attacker

  610. comes from the enemy. You know, Oh no, no, no, no, no

  611. no no. The enemy doesn't have to all time, don't

  612. have to do. But they tricked us to get us

  613. to curse ourselves. How many of us here in twenty

  614. twenty five when you look back, what are some of

  615. the things that we have done that got us into trouble,

  616. or have we been blaming the wrong people for our

  617. problems this year? If you want to enjoy blessings, have

  618. we been wiser, smarter, more aware? See enemy, We'll not

  619. put it. I want to say this thing is very important.

  620. We don't actually fall into sin most of the time.

  621. It's like, oh, don't try, we run away, so clear, clear, clear,

  622. cart went.

  623. Oh no, no, no, no, no no.

  624. Most of the time, you don't fall into sink until

  625. you start flirting with the sin. Makes sense, you don't

  626. fall into it until you flirt with the sin. Let's

  627. turn to scripture. Let's turn to James. Okay, this is

  628. it's not in the slight hair. James, Chapter one, verse

  629. thirteen to verse fifteen. James, Chapter one, verse thirteen to

  630. verse fifteen.

  631. This is the last part.

  632. I'm gonna close, So I'm gonna emphasize on so that

  633. we all learn to look at.

  634. Twenty twenty five.

  635. What kind of things that we need to you know,

  636. determination and resolution we gold of make in our hearts

  637. so that twenty twenty five will be different.

  638. Okay.

  639. James, Chapter one, verse thirteen to verse fifteen. Says here,

  640. let no one say when he is tempted, I am

  641. being tempted by God.

  642. Oh, God tempts me.

  643. For God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself

  644. tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he

  645. is lured and entireed by his own desire. Then desire,

  646. when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin,

  647. when it is fully grown, brings forth death. Okay, so

  648. you must understand that. Okay, there's a lot of things

  649. I need to unpack here. Okay, how do I need

  650. to Okay, we don't fall a lot of times, we

  651. don't fall into the same It is always the great

  652. areas that where the devil catches us, Always.

  653. The great areas.

  654. It doesn't stop you where it's so obvious, Always the

  655. great areas. From the beginning of Genesis, the devil always done.

  656. Then you want to see how it works. Okay, just

  657. turn me to another scripture here, turn to Genesis chapter three,

  658. very very quickly. I need to set this up so

  659. that you guys know what I'm talking about. I need

  660. to set this very very clearly. These are foundational things. Okay,

  661. Genesis chapter three. Okay, and you know what I'm talking about. Ready, Okay,

  662. it's talking about the devil that say the fall of man.

  663. Let's see okay, Chapter three, verse two, Verse one, verse one.

  664. Now the serpent was more cunning than any bits of

  665. the field which the Lord God had made. And he

  666. said to the woman first temptation. There are three parts

  667. of temptation. Three deception made here?

  668. Three part? The first part?

  669. Has God indeed said you shall not eat of every

  670. tree of the garden?

  671. What is that deception? Okay? It is in the detail,

  672. you know.

  673. Has God in this said you shall not eat of

  674. every tree underlie every It's like I tell my children

  675. don't play, don't kick the ball inside the house.

  676. And then.

  677. Another naughty person, Daddy, has said you cannot play football anymore.

  678. You see the difference. Yeah, it's restriction, but totally abuse.

  679. This is what we call exaggeration. God said, or all

  680. the trees you came through. He starts with everything you

  681. can except this tree. But the devil starts with did

  682. God say everything you can? Reat?

  683. Why?

  684. It's purposeful because he exaggerates to sold doubt in our

  685. daily lives of how they say, ah uh, they said,

  686. what professor said? The professor is going to make sure

  687. that you study hard. If not, he's gonna fail you.

  688. Then an understand that the professor hates us. He's gonna

  689. fail everyone.

  690. In this class.

  691. Totally different and all you see, Ah, the first one

  692. makes you study. The second one makes you feel like

  693. that person has a personal agenda against you.

  694. You know what I'm saying, So.

  695. That this this, this, this, this question was intentional to say, hey, God,

  696. is God trying to restrict your freedom? He's given you

  697. free Well, are you sure he's given you free will?

  698. Will I heard differently? You can be like intentional? And

  699. then the second one, it's very very important. You must

  700. understand this next time because when you have when you

  701. have kids, when you are dealing with employees, are you

  702. will know that it is always the case the exact

  703. information will communicate different intention and exaggeration.

  704. Even in politics.

  705. Are even in politics are, oh, they can send a

  706. totally different message one and on Oh the government will

  707. try to make sure said certain things, say oh, the

  708. government is gonna commit martial law and shut down everybody.

  709. COVID can mean totally different things. Want to know fear

  710. runs the mouth feels very very powerful. One to know

  711. exaggeration is very very powerful one to know because it

  712. tells a different strate, and that thing takes the headline

  713. more than anything else. So now between if it's not

  714. thinking about all the other trees, she's talking about that,

  715. God don't want me to eat any tree?

  716. What is God thinking about? Yeah? Me right. It turns

  717. the narrative and the subject.

  718. The second one says that, and the woman said to

  719. the serpent, we may eat the tree or the fruit

  720. of the trees of the garden. But the fruit of

  721. the tree, which was in the midst God had said,

  722. you shall not it should shall not touch it less

  723. you die. Okay, what is the second tactic? Then the

  724. serpent said to the woman, you will not surely die,

  725. for God knows that. Again, let's stop the head you

  726. will not surely die. What is the second deception? The

  727. second deception is the removal of consequences. The removal of consequences.

  728. That's the second biggest lie. No coincidence. Let's look at

  729. some examples I put in the slide there. What did

  730. the devil? What are some of the common cases of

  731. examples of we try to tell ourselves by removing consequences.

  732. If you drink and drive. You can handle your alcohol

  733. better than most people. You won't get into an accident.

  734. Removal of consequences. Gambling, you're on a winning straight keep going.

  735. The ought will always be in your favor, Always be

  736. in your favor. Man, don't quit now. You're going to

  737. win back.

  738. Your loss the next round.

  739. Remove consequences or the illusion of consequences the moment you

  740. see it. Drugs, it's just one time. You won't get

  741. addicted one But you look at every person's life. You

  742. always touch me.

  743. There isn't it.

  744. The removal of consequence means the violation, violation seems more

  745. lenient and possible. Always always nowadays are people don't want

  746. to teach talk about hell and judgment and no in

  747. in church and no, how dare you talk about it?

  748. I don't want to come to church anymore.

  749. Because this person, because this person talk about it. The

  750. person don't want to come to church anymore. You know that,

  751. you know who else talk about about having her more

  752. than anyone else?

  753. Jesus. You know.

  754. When my children are I tell them consequences. Want to

  755. know I tell them consequences? Why not you have to

  756. tell them consequences? You cannot just keep affirming that Hey,

  757. whatever you do, I will always support you. And there

  758. is no consequences, no such thing. White people, if you

  759. jump down there where you feel like it or not,

  760. you think, but I think you jump down, you're gonna

  761. hurt you. Like Removal of consequence is one of the

  762. key things that the devil does. And in the case

  763. for the people in program or sorry, I'm thinking of

  764. your time here. I know I'm gonna repeat everybody. I

  765. always say that, Okay, what was the removal of consequence? Hey,

  766. Jesus loves you, Christ has died for you. Really the meaner?

  767. What's going to consequence? Associate?

  768. Lah? Think God is.

  769. That heart of a you know, of a father who's

  770. gonna punish you wor worshipping her?

  771. Why suffer? You think God wants you to suffer? God?

  772. It's a good God.

  773. You know.

  774. Things are that you know, you get me right.

  775. Removal Suddenly you have a contorted view of God.

  776. Who God really is?

  777. You Now you misunderstand what communion really is, what baptism

  778. really is? You know you I'm saying, you know all

  779. these things. Removal consequences.

  780. Okay.

  781. The third one, of course is another one is okay,

  782. and your eyes will be opened and you will be

  783. like God, Why to tempt you? There's something behind God.

  784. There's a third something behind God. Scared that your eyes

  785. will be open. Why it's telling you. It's God hiding

  786. something from you. If you rebel against him, if you

  787. choose something, maybe you will see something that God never

  788. wanted you to see. The world will show you something.

  789. And see what I'm saying, you will always be tempted one. Okay, remove,

  790. We can remove a consequence, but they must be a

  791. desire at the other side.

  792. Oh, he's the last one.

  793. Okay, Oh everybody, okay, now, okay, let me just wrap

  794. this up. Okay, So how do I want to sink

  795. this up?

  796. Okay?

  797. So we as Christians, not just Christians, la with all

  798. of us with a sinful desire. We always like to

  799. play with fire, and before we get burned, we always

  800. some other people come to me, come to you, come

  801. to many, come to parents. You say, Hey, if I'm

  802. a Christian, I'm not, I'm not this If I do these,

  803. do these? Do this? You say, okay, but still okay

  804. or not? How near can I get to the fire

  805. without being burned? How near can I get to the

  806. edge without falling, you know, but I both say, do

  807. not say they cannot smoke. You cannot smoke. God, do

  808. not say that you cannot have many friends with the

  809. opposite gender. God, you not say that, you know after

  810. you're married, And not you cannot have a treat our

  811. conversation with your platonic friend from your opposite gender.

  812. God do not say that.

  813. And not you cannot drive with your lady colligue home

  814. or a guy colleague home as well. God, do not

  815. say that, and not when the office or I'm going

  816. for it, man, I'm going for it. Man, I'm going

  817. for it because as if I'm preaching, as if this

  818. is my last one. Man, because if I don't, because

  819. if I don't preach it, am I hoping for someone

  820. to preach it?

  821. Yeah?

  822. Yeah, man, right, I have to preach the truth because

  823. actually I have stories to tell.

  824. You want to know.

  825. I'm telling you because I've been there before. Can I

  826. tell you a story, personal story? You know, when I

  827. was much younger, before I was in the next church,

  828. there was a girl I liked so much, I like

  829. so much.

  830. I was in Uni.

  831. I liked her so much, and I like her after

  832. I met her once only I like her so much.

  833. And the only I need qualification for her just be

  834. a Christian. Now my version of being a Christian is said,

  835. she come to.

  836. Church enough, Reggie, I don't know what she is. I

  837. don't know what kind of background. I don't know, Oh,

  838. come to church.

  839. It has to be a Christian already, check dick already.

  840. As long as there, God must be blessed. Ready alan

  841. her so much. And I'm telling you from my own

  842. heart for my own experience. Okay, my own experience.

  843. I wanted so much. Hey, I will start.

  844. I started cookie, you know, doing you know, hey, inviting,

  845. connecting with her friend's friends and all stuff like that. Yeah, passon,

  846. Man is not so pure, I know. Okay, I want

  847. to and I tell you want them so much. I

  848. found out that she actually has a long distance boyfriend.

  849. I tell you, I go into a conflict. Man. I

  850. was like, and I chanced out to choose what I

  851. want to hear, what I don't want to hear. I choose,

  852. I really, honestly, I choose want to hear. So some

  853. friends says she has some friends she don't has. Now

  854. a friend with the ones who says she don't has. Okay,

  855. I want her, and I want to be right as well.

  856. I want everything you can't mean right. I didn't care,

  857. and she was returning the favor as well in a way,

  858. and I was like, hey, you know, so I was,

  859. you know, in the we're not in a relationship, but

  860. we're kind of like in contact flirting around a relationship,

  861. you know, and stuff like that as well. I tell you,

  862. I was playing with fire. I was playing with fire.

  863. And one day I was, you know, please don't do this.

  864. Don't drop a lady off on your own, Okay. I

  865. was dropping her off on the airport on my own.

  866. I was younger, much younger. I was foolish, okay, dropping

  867. her off. And I tell you that that driver seemed

  868. like the longest hours, man. I tell you, I was

  869. raising in my mind to tell her, not to tell

  870. her to get officially into relationship. You know, I think

  871. my chance is like eighty percent and eighty percent. I

  872. don't think she has a boyfriend, and I cannot be like,

  873. you know, even she has that guys don't good enough

  874. for her, you know, all the things I can reason.

  875. And then I dropped it off. I was like telling

  876. her and she was waiting. I was like, oh, I

  877. tell you, I can imagine that all the angels. I

  878. think maybe like, no, that maybe a few angels. I

  879. was like pulling the string of mad. Don't do it,

  880. you know, And I don't know why. Out of death strength.

  881. My whole body wants to go into it. But I

  882. couldn't do it. And I said nothing.

  883. Nothing. She was like expecting.

  884. But then that so flat, so flat enough, so flat

  885. it felt like all the plenty couldn't take off it.

  886. Okay that they're laughing now, huh.

  887. My wife says, I'm a good storyteller. I don't remember.

  888. I just like the only thing I could hear, you know,

  889. what was it? Walk away? Walk away?

  890. Walk away, don't try to reason, don't do anything, don't

  891. say anything, don't try the minister to her, or don't whatever, Like,

  892. oh god, you know, I pray, you know, maybe it's

  893. the right thing to say.

  894. No, just walk away, walk away. And I walked away.

  895. I tell you, oh so much regret and confusion and

  896. stuff like that. Just walk away.

  897. Then God said, cut off, cut off. See after that,

  898. I never even spoke to her. Do you want you

  899. want to you wanna flood? And I say, oh, I'm sorry.

  900. I was like that nothing. There's a saying, Dawn, witness

  901. to someone you're attempted with. You know, he don't witness

  902. to someone you're a tempted with. You here in your

  903. relationship that you are not going to convert that person.

  904. Trust me, you will never convert that person.

  905. Don't.

  906. It's a very it's a cardinal ruler for ministers and

  907. for creation. No minister to someone you're tempted with. Oh,

  908. it's not gonna work. There's too much complice. You are

  909. not responsible for the conversion and salvation belongs to the Lord.

  910. It is God. You are not God.

  911. If you try to enter in the relationship, you have

  912. a messiah complex enough. You think you are the Messiah.

  913. You're competing with Jesus to try to save the guy.

  914. It's wrong and all. Well, that's a lot of teaching. Yeah,

  915. it's very hard thing. I know.

  916. I'm I'm thinking like because I want to say it,

  917. because God actually told me to minister to people. I

  918. really want the minister to people. Here most of the

  919. time it's a prayer, but no, I really want a minister.

  920. I'm telling you this because I've been there before, and

  921. I tell you this more than one situation when I

  922. started working before I met as then that people I

  923. dropped off and because they misconfused, misconstrue my intention. Now

  924. they started showing favor as well. And you can flirt

  925. with temptations when I tell you it's so dangerous and all.

  926. And these people are, I tell you are a very handsome,

  927. a very beautiful one. More of medic Sometimes can you

  928. encounter with you know, and you can catch you off. God,

  929. your heart can be stolen in just one night. I'm

  930. giving you a warning right now. Serious, don't trust your heart.

  931. I'm scaring all the whole this is. This is just

  932. one incident that we you see it.

  933. It's nothing wrong to.

  934. Do all these things, but the thing that leads to

  935. sin are the things that are and wise.

  936. It's not wrong, but it's a wise you know what

  937. I'm saying. All. It's not wrong to say all, but

  938. it's and wise.

  939. So many of us getting too, probably not because we

  940. see one, but we keep making and wise decisions and

  941. wise and wise and wise and wise. It's like it's like,

  942. you know, like a It's like if it's a connatinal

  943. and you have something holding that this network you make one.

  944. And wise one a wise one am wise one and

  945. wise not wrong. No wat cut then drop.

  946. You see, it's a series of unwise decisions that you

  947. make that you get into trouble. And so in twenty

  948. tive it's not about making one big resolution and not

  949. getting a bigger net or anything. And all is what

  950. are some of the unwise decisions that God is speaking

  951. to you to undo? We gotta be you want to

  952. reading twenty twenty four and for twenty five, make wise decisions,

  953. Make make wise decisions things not wrong to go to Klama,

  954. it's just a premise.

  955. Man.

  956. You want that lifestyle, you want that music. Yeah, I'm

  957. not saying one blanket. Different people have different things. I

  958. have to cut things off of this year. Beginning of

  959. this year that God speaks to me personally, I'm winning

  960. all certain things. I was like, well, God had to

  961. speak to me in dreams and more like like, woke

  962. up this morning, I had a very vivid dream I

  963. can't share with you guys.

  964. So I hit my wife. You know, when my wife

  965. work on what did you do? Like? I?

  966. Then my wife knew I had a vivid dream. I

  967. had such a favid dream, I tell you and I

  968. have I have had three vivid dreams.

  969. This year. It's just this one week. God telling me things.

  970. Oh, I want to do things like yoga, opening spiritual

  971. portals for your life. Is nothing yoga, nothing spiritual. Tell you,

  972. I go teach you another timer. There's a spirit world.

  973. But going to the spirit walm without holding that this's Hannah.

  974. It's like going to Amoa and your mommy and you

  975. and your mommy are separated.

  976. There's a spiritual world.

  977. You know, you go into that, into that shopping mall

  978. without holding that this Hannah. You're in trouble. You will

  979. experienced a lot of things peace but not peace. But

  980. you are outside without God's hand. It's very important. It's

  981. better you don't go into the moel.

  982. You get me in right. It's very dangerous. Things that

  983. you play with.

  984. You go around, but you're playing with fire, one after

  985. another after another, after another after another.

  986. You play with things.

  987. You should not be watching channels. You should not be

  988. subscribing things after another. You're hours. How you spend your

  989. night's times is someone you need even need to change

  990. to your rooms. I tell you because you know a

  991. lot of things happened in that room.

  992. I'm very real.

  993. These are the real resolutions that we need to make,

  994. not losing twenty if I keep those.

  995. You know what I'm saying or not? What kind of.

  996. Conversations are you saying? Always implying but not directly saying

  997. rumors and spreading fears huhm, experimenting with different substances gambling?

  998. Are not gambling?

  999. Are you know? Just trading?

1000. You know, but you don't realize one trade can lead

1001. to one another another another. I met one friend who

1002. say they they were never gamble, never gamble by stops

1003. on me bye Now I just made him last week?

1004. Who am I doing now?

1005. And this guy I was an IBM consultant and doing

1006. a lot of figure end up now a full time

1007. stock trader, losting a lot of money, struggling to pay

1008. a lot of things. It's not wrong, but a series

1009. of n wise decisions, a lot of just looking for

1010. everybody is asking for pastors for black and white, looking

1011. for a harder leader ever reading for black and white? No,

1012. it's a series. Remember these are the ten foolish virgins

1013. that didn't get into it. Not because they sin, No,

1014. because there were foolish You see, seem to not put

1015. your oil into your lamb yard. You can delay a

1016. bit later, but it was foolish. So let twenty twenty

1017. five not be a year you made foolish mistakes like them,

1018. do foolish mistakes that they can say, Ah, these people

  1019. they're doing okay.

  1020. Not ignore.

1021. Then Jesus comes with a sharp two edge of sword.

1022. Separate from Me in your life.

  1023. Amen.
