You're listening to a message to go from as church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord. Okay, this morning, the
-
word really is gratitude. Ah. I was praying as asking
-
the Lord God, what do I share with with people?
-
What do I share with your people? And it's important
-
for us, and God say, well, gratitude. It is one word, gratitude,
-
and it always starts off as a word. And the
-
Lord will put a word in my heart, and you know,
-
just one word. That's how it works for me, in
-
one word. And then as I spend time thinking about
-
this word, then the Lord will bring context and it
-
will grow, It'll grow, it'll grow. And so the context
-
is taken from Exodus chapter fifteen. And you know, this
-
is the Lord's people who are actually coming out of Egypt,
-
and there are good people who learn gratitude from because
-
they had very little of it. God's people actually had
-
very little gratitude. And we need to learn and understand
-
that because there is an importance in having a heart
-
that's full of gratitude to the Lord. To the Lord.
-
How many of you attended homes on Friday, Quite quite
-
a number of you, okay or Wednesday, all right, we
-
must be politically correct, okay, Wednesday. And you know the
-
story of the ten lepers, right, and the thing that
-
struck me, and you know it actually ties in with
-
the world, although it was not in my notes, but
-
I just thought, I you know, because it tied in
-
with it. And the thing about this was you. You
-
had ten people who suffered from leprosy and who came
-
before the Lord, you know, asked the Lord to do something.
-
And you know, Jesus, being who he is, does not
-
make life difficult. He did not give them a difficult task.
-
He did not say, climb Mount Everest and bring me
-
back snow so I can make water from it and
-
pour it over you and you will be ill. Did
-
he do something like that. No. You see, God, your God,
-
and mind works in simplicity. And all he did was
-
he said, just go and show yourself to the priest.
-
Just go go in sho it. Because if you if
-
you read, you know in the Old Testament, when people
-
had leprosy, you know, everybody stayed away from them, right,
-
everybody stayed away from them. And in order for them
-
to come back into society, they had to go and
-
see the priest, and the priest would say, you're clean,
-
and then they could come back into society. Isn't it
-
strange that they did They not say go and see
-
the doctor. It was the man of God or the
-
men and women of the men of God who declare
-
that they were healed. And then of course I was
-
talking to some people about, you know, a leper colony,
-
and we had one in Suna Bulo, and I just
-
found out that the hospital Sunabulo is that the one
-
that was the leper colony. And I didn't know that.
-
So you learned something all the time. Anyway, nine of
-
them that they were all hereed okay, they were all here,
-
and nine of them went on their way because they
-
got what they came for. Somebody agreed, okay, they got
-
what they came for. But one of them realized, this
-
is extraordinary and I have to go and show gratitude.
-
So what he did was he went back to Jesus
-
and you know what scripture says, he fell on his
-
face and worshiped and gave thanks. You see a lot
-
of us miss and sometimes we get confused. We think
-
that that giving thanks or having a high of gratitude
-
is worshiped. Yes and no, they are two separate things.
-
And in order for this man to be made whole,
-
as Jesus declared, two things had to happen. One he
-
had to worship. Falling down on your face is not
-
saying thank you. What is for down on your face worship?
-
After he worshiped, or together with his worship, he then
-
gave thanks. And then Jesus said, you are made well.
-
You see, there's something more than physically physical healing. It's wellness,
-
wellness of the soul, wellness of the heart, wellness of
-
the mind that comes to you when two things take place,
-
when you worship and when you give thanks. I thought
-
i'd share that and why, But you know, as I
-
was sitting there, the Lord said, you know this is
-
what it is, and I want to life is full
-
of things that you can give God thanks for. You know,
-
I really believe in worshiping the Lord. This morning. I
-
do not come to you and just share words. I
-
get up at four o'clock in the morning and I
-
walk for two hours. And during that walk I'm worshiping
-
the Lord and praying that I deliver this to you,
-
that your lives may be changed. So by the time
-
service is over, I will be hardly able to stay.
-
That's my pattern on the Sunday and then the Lord.
-
You know, I keep telling you that God speaks to
-
me in simplicity, in simple ways. He helps me with
-
a lot of day to day things. And some people say, ah,
-
you know, why do you talk about this. You know,
-
I actually had somebody who was offended that I give
-
testimonies of God helping me with day to day things.
-
You know that some people don't like that. I give
-
you an example of one thing that just happened. This
-
so small, but I'm I'm so thankful to God for you.
-
See my house, we have the guest toilet downstairs, all right.
-
The guest toilet is a dry toilet, dry because you
-
know you want to walk. It's very very clean, very
-
very dry. And there was a foul smell, not because
-
you know, now new houses, all the sewers are connected
-
with the pipes, right, so it was a smell of
-
swage coming through. And I was wondering, our toilet is clean,
-
where's this smell coming from. It's so odd, it's so strange.
-
So I went into you know, I was thinking about
-
this for some time. Then I went and say, God,
-
where is this coming from? And you know when you
-
ask the Lord, the Holy Spirit will give you an answer.
-
The answer is so simple. You'll learn something from this.
-
There is a water trap on the floor, all right,
-
and in my house, I do not like vermin, I
-
do not like cockroaches. So I got this kind of
-
water trap that has a little moat that means, you know,
-
it's got a cover on a moat that retains water
-
so that insects cannot come out. You see, for about
-
two years, there's been a little drip in the toilet,
-
a little drip that goes and eventually finds its way
-
to this and you know, there was no smell in
-
the toilet, but this drip irritated me. So one day
-
I came to my senses and he said, I gotta
-
stop this. What did I do? I replaced the problem
-
whatever it was causing the leak, and the water dried up.
-
Remember I say, it's a dry toilet, right, water in
-
that little moat dried up. And when it dried up,
-
smell from the sewer was coming through. And I didn't
-
know until the Lord brought it to my attention. So
-
you know what I did, just took a little bit
-
of water and I poured into it. Everything is fine now,
-
and my heart was so full of gratitude to the Lord.
-
And I'm thanking God and say God, Wow. I mean,
-
who would have thought of this with me? Others would
-
have loved but you told me when I asked you.
-
You know, I get excited about things like this. And
-
this is why the Lord keeps telling me things. When
-
things go wrong, He tells me how to fix it.
-
Because I'm not going to say I came up with it.
-
I'm going to give glory back to God and say God,
-
thank you Jesus. So I was having this conversation with
-
some family members the other day and I said, I
-
was just you know what, when I was younger, everybody
-
who made it, who met me, hated me. They didn't
-
like me from the time they saw me. I'm talking
-
about people in church, and I'm talking about people at work,
-
I'm talking about people at school. There's why. So somebody said,
-
because you're annoy all. You know what is annoy all? Everything?
-
You know, know it all. So I said, can I
-
can you blame me? I do know it all. You
-
can't blame me for that. I was joking with them. Lah.
-
But then the reason why I know things is because
-
I asked the Lord and he tells me. And you know,
-
when I tell it to you, it's not so that
-
I get some kind of glory, you know. I tell
-
it to you. So when you have that problem, you
-
know what to do. So now those of you who
-
buy new houses, when you have a foul smell coming,
-
you know where it's coming from, and you know how
-
to resolve the issue. So I share my knowledge. People
-
don't like that, But I want to tell you something.
-
In Exodus fifteen twenty two to seven, it says this,
-
so Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea. Now this
-
is about one week, okay, just imagine that this was
-
one week after they left Egypt. So I brought the
-
Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of
-
Sure and they went three days in the wilderness and
-
found no water. So this would be roughly about the
-
eleventh day after leaving Egypt. And when they came to Mara,
-
they could not drink the waters of Mara, for they
-
were bitter, poisonous, not good. Take your pick, all right.
-
Therefore the name of it was called Mara. Never wonder
-
where the Marie word came from. This was just eleven
-
days after an extraordinary miracle. How many of us live
-
our lives on miracles? Are you happy to base your
-
life on a miracle? Those who base their lives get
-
this what I'm about to say on miracles are just
-
one miracle away from leaving the Lord. Those who base
-
their lives on miracles are just one miracle away from
-
leaving the Lord. You're not supposed to base your life
-
on miracles. You're supposed to base your life. I am
-
supposed to base my life on a relationship with the
-
one who performs the miracles. So he was called Mara,
-
and the people complain against Moses, saying what shall we drink?
-
So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord
-
showed him a tree, and he cast it into the water,
-
and the waters were made sweet. This is the first
-
time that now after that great miracle, the people are
-
complaining about not having water. You know, God is a
-
god of patience. The first time they complain, God did
-
not take them to task. Do you realize you see
-
what he says? It says here. So he cried to
-
the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. There
-
was a complaint. Moses cried to the Lord. The Lord
-
gave an answer, and the Lord left it at that.
-
You Lord left it at that. I've given an answer.
-
I've that's the reason, and that water that's that's the reason.
-
And God left it at that. What was the answer?
-
You know, God's a god of wisdom. If you keep
-
asking the Lord, the Lord's going to give you wisdom.
-
And really the answers are simple. Put a little bit
-
of water into the dream and it'll be okay. What
-
did the Lord tell Moses take this tree and throw
-
it into the water. Was it some fantastic he take
-
the water out. I want you to put it in
-
a glass beaker, and I want you to look for
-
this chemical and put it in, and he returns good.
-
What you have to do is put another capital until
-
it turns blue, and then take that one and throw it.
-
Did God do that? No? Take this three and junk
-
it in the water. And Moses did it. And guess
-
what the bitter was made sweet? In continuing then there
-
he made a statute and an ordinance for them, and
-
there he tested them. Hell, hey, guys, life is a test. Everything,
-
oh everything in life is a test, and said if
-
you diligently heed my voice, the voice of the Lord,
-
your god, and do what is right in his sight.
-
Give you to his commandments and keep his statutes. I
-
will put none of the diseases on you which I
-
have brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord
-
who heals you. So the thing is this, sir, What
-
did the Lord tell them? If you will religions hear,
-
if you heed my voice? What did the voice tell Moses?
-
Take the tree, throw it into the water. Things became better.
-
Put some water into that drain and it's going to
-
be okay. Simple things, not difficult things, he says. I
-
tested them. You know, we have to learn something from
-
these people, these ungrateful people, because firstly they were suffering
-
in Egypt. You think it was a party. I mean
-
they didn't fulfill their quotas. You think they were wet
-
with candy. Candy flows bad person? You was he like that? No,
-
they were whipped, they were beaten, they were uh torture.
-
Oh you got timer, you want to go and leave
-
your work and go and worship the Lord. I give
-
you more work means you gotta know work to do.
-
How many have you actually heard this in your office. Well,
-
you've got no worker. You want to leave early to
-
go and go to church. That means you've got no work.
-
I give you more work. How many of you have
-
heard this? Oh, I've heard this, and now people are
-
there bit softer like those days are you had? You
-
had dragons for bosses? Okay, And these are the things
-
you hear very common. You know what was my reply?
-
The Lord first you after that? I mean they saw
-
me do it. They would see me go to church
-
and come back to the office at eleven am in
-
eleven pm in the night and work through the whole
-
night to get out my commitment. The Lord tested them
-
and when they came to Elim, where there were twelve
-
wells of water and seventy palm trees, so they came
-
thereby the waters. I just want you to know it
-
just took three days. Three days after an absolute miracle,
-
these children of Israel, they rebelled against the Lord. It
-
didn't take a long time. It didn't take a long time,
-
just three days. The opposite of gratitude. Some of the
-
things that the opposite of gratitude is you know what complaint? Complain? Hey,
-
if you complain, guess what you're not being gracious. You're
-
not having a heart of gratitude. You don't want a
-
heart that complains we have no water. I ask you
-
this thing. Do you think God, who took them out
-
of Egypt, who could split the Red Sea, is gonna
-
bring them into the desert to kill them. The Lord
-
is blessing you with a child, Praise the Lord. Do
-
you think the Lord will bless you with a child
-
and then leave you the drown No, the Bible says
-
that every child comes with a blessing. You know, if
-
you ask me how I put through, how my two
-
girls went through university, I really don't know. If you
-
ask me how that they've come true to this day,
-
I can tell you only one thing. If it's not
-
for God, God actually blessed me every time we had
-
a child. Somebody said these days somebody came up to me.
-
This is one of the church leaders came up to
-
me and said, you know, somebody told her when they
-
were discussing, is oh, I don't want to have children.
-
I don't want to have children. Very difficult to have children.
-
Now you know that the gen what is it now? Zee?
-
What is it now? It's alpha? I also get confused
-
I'm stuck with millenniums millennials because these were the ones
-
that I used to complain about. So now the millennials
-
are complaining about the gen Z, and now gen Z
-
is complaining by alpha. Is it okay? The point of
-
the matter is that where these people are concerned, I
-
don't want to have kids because it's too difficult. So
-
I just told this church leader. I said, that's true,
-
it is difficult not having a child. But you tell
-
this person the word of God is true, blessed the
-
man who's quiver is full of errors. So if I
-
got to trust the word and trust what they say,
-
I will go with God's word. So tell them the
-
face the difficulty now, or face the face the difficulty
-
now of having children, or face the difficulty later in
-
life when you have no one to look after you.
-
Everything is fairma, nothing comes without a price. Everything is
-
a test. Bitter water is made sweet when we go
-
to the Lord and ask for a solution. Bitter what
-
How many of us taste bitter water when I say
-
bitter water struggles in life? We do right? How many
-
of us feel truly blessed when God comes true for
-
us and that bitter experience becomes sweet or God came
-
through for me. Everything again, I'll say this again, Everything
-
is a test. Do you know that abundance is a test.
-
You have to take that note. Abundance is a test
-
because the time where people forget the Lord is in
-
a time of abundance. Abundance is a test. Life is
-
a test. I've told you this story before. There was
-
a pastor that I was helping garden in his house.
-
Gardening in his house, all right. He came and he
-
had two guavas. He gave it both to me, and
-
he said, give one to the give one to the
-
other brother who was working in the garden. And then
-
I didn't know he was watching me. So I went
-
to this brother and I held out the guava and
-
I gave out the smaller one. One was really smaller,
-
one was bigger. I gave the smaller one. Then I stopped.
-
I took the small one back and I gave the
-
larger one. So he actually saw that. Oh. Then I
-
went back to do the work. And then after that
-
he comes and says, Terence saw that. Let me tell
-
you that was a test to see what you would do,
-
and you pass the test. Guys, Life is a test.
-
When things are going well, guess what it is a
-
test when it is going badly? What is it? It
-
is a test? And you know what is the test?
-
How will you respond to the Lord? You saw it
-
with the ten lepers. Nine ten of them had the
-
abundance of healing. One of them came back and passed
-
the test because he worshiped and he thanked the Lord.
-
And guess what he was blessed with something else. He
-
was blessed with wellness. So sweetness will be a response.
-
It is simple to God. Hey, every situation is simple
-
to God, as simple as throwing a tree to water.
-
So abundance is a test. How will we respond? Okay,
-
got that, Let's move on. In Exodus sixteen, so now
-
the journey from Ilimen, all the congregation of children of
-
Israel came to the wilderness of Sin. And this is
-
what I meant, and I said, this is about three days.
-
If I'm not mistaken, it's about three days journey wilderness
-
of Sin, which is between Ilimens Sinai Sinai, and on
-
the fifteen day of the second Man after their departure
-
from the land of Egypt, which is about true, is
-
about two weeks that the whole congregation of the children
-
of is A complain against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
-
Just three days after the Lord provided water for them,
-
they complain again. Remember what I said, people who rely
-
on miracles are one miracle away from leaving the love.
-
These people just didn't get it. And the children of
-
Israel said to them, all that we had died in
-
the by the hand of the Lord, in the land
-
of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat,
-
and when we ate bread to the full. For you
-
have brought us out into the willness to kill the
-
whole assembly with hunger. What's so dramatic? This is like
-
one of those drama movies, you know, where the camera
-
goes in. All the five people had faced very dramatic,
-
very dramatic, all that we had died by your mouth.
-
You get what you say, because they did die. None
-
of them made it, And they should have stayed in Egypt,
-
maybe they would have lived a little longer, for you
-
have brought us out into the willness to kill the
-
whole assembly with hunger. I gotta ask you this question,
-
why is it so easy to complain even after God
-
has done some things for us. What makes it so
-
easy for us to believe that God will not see
-
us through and bring us the whole journey. Why is
-
it so easy for us to believe that God wants
-
us to fail? It's because our experience as such, the
-
devil has always been working towards our failure, and a
-
lot of us have spent a more time in our
-
younger days being formed by that ideology, that thinking, until
-
we came to Jesus. So if you did not know
-
the Lord for seventeen years, you got seventeen years of
-
rubbish in your head that you you need to clean
-
and cleanse and clear. And if you don't address it,
-
it still stays with you and becomes a snare to you.
-
Do we have snares in our life, it means we
-
have not taken the time to address it. So these
-
people did not address They were so caught up in
-
their slave mentality that they did not see what God
-
was doing. Why is it so easy to complete? Do
-
you know that the Bible says to remember remember as
-
often as you drink the body, drink the body. As
-
often as you eat the body and drink the blood,
-
you proclaim my coming again. So first part is you
-
remember that Jesus died for your since and you are saved,
-
and the next one you remember what he is coming again,
-
meaning what there is a future and a hope. God
-
sent Jesus to die for you so that you would
-
be saved and have a future and a hope. So
-
why is a memory so short? Then the Lord in
-
his wisdom said, do this as often as you can.
-
So every time you do it, force yourself to remember.
-
It helps you. You don't want to be like the
-
children of Israel. You have to remember because by golly,
-
these guys had all short memories, really really short memories.
-
So the miracle is just fifteen days after Egypt and
-
twelve days and about three days. Sorry I got it
-
wrong that three days after Ilien. And guess what. The
-
people of Israel had this fascination with death because that's
-
what they saw all this time as slaves. They just
-
saw death. So they had this pretty they had this
-
this morbid fascination with that everything is all we should
-
have died. Oh sailor, is that right? And say that?
-
I say it right, h don't say that. Stop it.
-
Stop saying that, because scripture says you will have what
-
you say kayla that what this cantonisa? Hm? I only
-
know one other Cantonese, not a few others. You know.
-
There was this timer, This person tried to cheat the company,
-
and I said, you know, so I was taking them
-
the task. Then I heard this engineer tell the contract
-
more coong. So I told him, say what you're telling him? Mocong?
-
What are you telling him not to tell me the
-
good shop? Because I learned very very early on in
-
my Christian walk this statement more kong yessue, because that's
-
what the condeenies say, don't talk Jesus. In other words,
-
they're saying, I don't talk nonsense. Okay, So I learned that, Mocong.
-
What do you telling me not to tell me? Mocong? So? Okay,
-
let's let's get so don't say it. Okay, stop saying
-
the wrong thing, all right. Let me just tell you
-
The main takeaway from this is what the spirit of slavery?
-
Do you know that the spirit of slavery is entitlement.
-
If you feel you are entitled, everyone owes us a living,
-
that is slavery. We have a lot of people who
-
are slaves. Think about it, because there's always this feeling
-
of you owe me a living That is a spirit
-
of slavery. You blame God for your misfortune? If every
-
say God you blame for this, guess what spirit of slavery.
-
Get that spirit of slavery out of your life. Blame
-
everyone else when things don't go your way. This person's
-
fall love, that person's fall love? Why this love? Why
-
that last spirit of slavery? It's the spirit of slavery.
-
Do you know that the spirit of slavery warps our
-
understanding of reality? Moses had already escaped. You know I
-
can tell you this. Why on earth did Moses want
-
to come back and save those people? Those people should think, hey,
-
forty years ago, or you didn't if I was Moses
-
forty years ago, or you didn't want me when I
-
came to help you. What you tell me? Mind your
-
own business? Okay, now you suffer. I already outward forty
-
years I'm out. I got my own family, I got
-
my own wire, I got my own churn, I got
-
my own cows, I got my own lambs. I got
-
a life. Man, Why do I want to come and
-
help you? Who rejected me forty years ago? Did they
-
ever think that maybe they should have considered that spirit
-
of slavery. And I gotta ask you, this is the
-
world really the one responsible for giving you what you
-
eat and drink, because that's what the spirit of slavery
-
was telling Moses in Egypt. I had food, I had this.
-
They were actually saying, God is not responsible for giving
-
me what I need. It's the world. When you meet
-
someone who does not want to receive the Lord because
-
they say, why do I need everything? Tell them you
-
know what, You're a slave? What do you mean I'm
-
a slave? Tell them this story. It's the spirit of slavery.
-
So this is the main takeaway from this part. Let's
-
move on. Okay. The Lord said to Moses, behold, I
-
will rain bread. You know God he's got class. He's
-
got class. Of course, now you say rain bread, I
-
think of loads of bread falling from the sky. Okay, behold,
-
I will reign break from heaven for you and the
-
people should go out and gather a certain quarta every
-
day that I may what test them. Everything is a test,
-
even when the Lord provides, guess what. It is a
-
test whether they will walk in my law or not.
-
And it shall be that on the sixth day they
-
shall prepare what they bring in and it should be
-
twice as much as what they gathered daily. In morning
-
evening God would bring quail. So they had meet God's hand.
-
It's not short enough. God did not bring one butcher
-
house from the sky and dropped down because that didn't happen.
-
But he rained. And then I was thinking to myself,
-
what is wrong with these people? Real stinger? The Bible
-
tells me how they walked out with animals again. They
-
walked out with cows, they walked out with ghosts, they
-
walked out with sheep. Then somebody said, oh, I did
-
some research. Oh maybe they wanted to sacrifice these animals,
-
So that's why they didn't want to eat. Can I
-
tell you that is a physical impossibility? Do you know why?
-
Because anything of what to the Lord had to be
-
without spot and without blemish. They had to go through
-
the whole animal to make sure it was perfect before
-
they're sacrificed. Are you telling me that every animal that
-
came out of Egypt was perfect and they were keeping
-
it to be sacrificed. If that's the case, then they
-
don't have to go through the process of checking everything
-
very carefully correct, not perfect or reone. Why do I
-
want to check something that's perfect. How many of you
-
checked one plus one equals to one plus one? Is
-
the perfect answer is to correct. So when you see
-
one plus one equals to do you give it to
-
the moderator and say, can you moderate this? This is correct?
-
You don't, isn't it? It's correctly. So if all the
-
animals were without spot and blemish, I would agree with you.
-
Then they were keeping the animals for sacrifice. But the
-
fact that they had to check tells me it was
-
not the case. So these were a people. This is
-
their attitude. Okay, what mine is mine? What I need
-
you give me? You know what that is? Spirit of slavery?
-
Did y'all ever ask yourself this question? It bothered me,
-
It really bothered me. I needed to check. Okay. So
-
the children isra did so and gathered some more than
-
some less. But when it measured, measured it by home
-
by omers. Okay, who gathered much and nothing left over,
-
and he who gathered little had no luck. Every man
-
a gathered, calling each one needs, and mons said let
-
no one leave anything till the morning. This was eh test.
-
Do you believe me as God to be able to
-
look after you? On a daily basis, while some did
-
not believe because Bible says collect every day only what
-
you need, and on a six day, gather twice so
-
that you can rest on a seven day, but only
-
what you need. Don't gather more because what does that mean?
-
You are trusting God? But they didn't do that right,
-
Some of them just didn't. So do we follow what
-
God tells us to do? Do we? Because everything is
-
a test. When you start living your life like everything
-
is a test, good or bad things that happened to you,
-
perhaps our responses will become a little bit better. You know.
-
Imagine what the children of Israel's lives would have been
-
if they had trusted God, if they were grateful instead
-
of having a spirit of entitlement. Can you imagine, Well, God,
-
I sat down and thought about this. Oh God, you're
-
brought me out of Egypt. We don't have water. But
-
I tell you what, God, if you can take me
-
through the Red Sea, you can provide water. Oh my,
-
that would at touch God's heart in such a fantastic way.
-
I can only imagine what God would have done for them.
-
And when they ran out of when they ran out
-
of water a second time, they say God, hey, Lord,
-
you provided water there by throwing a branch into a tree.
-
This is nothing for you, Lord, I'm just waiting to
-
see what miracle will happen. Now, imagine what God would
-
have done for them. Oh Lord, hmmm, I don't have
-
mean I have lamb lambs and sheeps and cars. I
-
tell you what, Lord, I'm gonna trust you all right
-
that you will provide so those lambs and those cows,
-
and we will still eat them. Lord. You know what
-
could happened, Lord, would cost their animals to multiply it
-
two or three or four times the rate. Think about it.
-
So when we respond correctly to what God tells us.
-
If our response is correct, imagine how much it excites
-
the Lord and how much more he wants to do
-
for us. Where's this in scripture? Hey, don't need to
-
go very far. Look at Solomon. What do you want, Lord?
-
I want wisdom to govern my people, to govern your people?
-
The Lord said, I am so blessed by what you said,
-
because you did not ask for yourself. You've done so rightly,
-
so unselfishly. You got me on your side. I give
-
you what you want, and I'm going to give you
-
much more. Where do we draw the line men take away.
-
When we keep more of our blessings to us than
-
we need, it is because we feel it will run out.
-
Spirit of slavery. God gives you a blessing, No, I
-
keep it to myself? Why because I fear it will
-
run out? So what are you telling God? God, you
-
can't give me more? An he won't you have? What
-
you say? Is it because he runs out or we
-
run out? Always remember God doesn't run out of things.
-
He owns the cattle on a thousand, he else, he
-
owns everything. The earth is his footstool. Does he have
-
what it takes to keep you blessed your whole life?
-
You better believe it. So it is not God that
-
runs out, but we run out of what faith? Not
-
that we run out, well, not that we but we
-
run out of faith in Him. Not so much that
-
we run out of faith. We believe God. Yeah, you
-
can do it, that's faith. But we believe Lord. I
-
have this doubt whether you will do it continuously. He
-
got's sensitive about that. Okay, God is very very sensitive
-
about that. So we better get our lives right. Okay.
-
Moving on, So in verse twenty seven, and now it
-
happened that some of the people went out on the
-
seventh day together, but they found none. And the Lord
-
said to Moses, how long? Now you remember the very
-
first time, Lord, we had no water, and God gave
-
them water without response. Then the second time, you know,
-
he did it to test them. And now he says,
-
how long more am I supposed to contend with these people?
-
God was beginning to get frustrated. You want to get
-
on God's bed side, very easy, complain, complain someone very
-
fast to get on God's bed side. And the Lord said, tomorrows,
-
how long do you refuse to keep my commandments? See?
-
For the Lord has given you the Sabbath. Therefore he
-
gives you on the sixth day two pieces. But God
-
is fairma, He already told you in ad once there's
-
gonna be nothing on the seventh day. Trust me, Just
-
take what you need. Time's two on the sixth day,
-
and you'll be fine. Let every man remain his place,
-
Let no man go to his place on the seventh
-
day exodus. So you and I we have got to
-
remember this very very, very very important. We're gonna listen
-
to what God says, because when we do, even when
-
we don't see, it is faith so you don't know
-
what's going to happen on the seventh day. You don't
-
know what's going to happen in your life on the
-
seventh day. But God has told you do until the
-
sixth day. You do until the sixth day. Let God
-
take care of the seventh. In Ephesians five twenty, it says,
-
it's giving thanks always for all things to God the Father,
-
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You know,
-
as I was seated there today, I will at this
-
this portion, Jesus said in John chapter sixteen. It's not
-
my norther John chapter sixteen, Um worse, okay, sorry, John
-
chapter sixteen, verse seventeen. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth.
-
It is for your advantage that I go away. For
-
if I do not go away, the helper will not
-
come to you. But if I depart, I will send
-
him to you, and he will come, and he will
-
convict the world of sin and of righteousness, and no
-
judgment of sin, because they do not believe in me.
-
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you
-
will see me no more of judgment, because the rule
-
of this world is judge Verse twelve. I have many
-
things to say to you, but you cannot bear them.
-
Now do you know that God will tell you more
-
things with the help of the Holy Spirit. That's because
-
that is the capacity of our minds and hearts. God
-
doesn't want to overwhelm our capacity, all right. In verse thirteen,
-
it says when he comes the spirit of truth, the
-
spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into
-
all truth. Do you realize most of us only take
-
it that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all
-
spiritual truth. Is this correct? Yes, it is. The Holy
-
Spirit will guide us into all spiritual truth. But the
-
Bible says that he will guide us into what all truth.
-
This is exciting because when the Bible says the Holy
-
Spirit will guide us into all truth. Lord, I do
-
not know why the toilet is thinking up, pour a
-
little bit of water into the drain problems off all truth?
-
All truth? You know how many cars I fixed? Not
-
knowing anything about cars. I remember I was ten years old,
-
ten years old, and this guy was we had a
-
big garden and we had a gardener who was who
-
was just trying to start that law more. He's pulling
-
it for about ten minutes, and he was getting frustrated.
-
I was ten. I went and I said, can I
-
have a look? He said sure, And my mind went
-
to the spark plug. Do I know anything about spark plugs? No?
-
I don't, But for some reason, the Holy Spirit put
-
my my attention on that, and he said, and I said,
-
can I take this? He said sure, so I took
-
it out. Then I said, is it possible that this
-
is not starting? Because you see that spark plug holder
-
is a ring and the ring has got to rest
-
on the spark plut But the ring was not resting
-
on the splug plack. The ring was turned on its
-
side and hitting the spark plug, so it was not
-
resting in the spark plot. Is this a reason? He said,
-
Let me try. He turned the thing around and he
-
put it back in, and he pulled and it started. Wow,
-
the Holy Spirit can lead us into all things. At
-
that time I did not know the Holy Spirit. But
-
is that me? It cannot be. It has to be
-
the Lord. And this is why, after forty five years
-
of knowing the Lord, this happens over and over and
-
over and over again. What a great way to live.
-
So he will lead us. Give thanks always for all
-
things to God the Father, in the name of the Lord.
-
Jesus Christ, all that we have been given, all that
-
we have, all that we possess. I do not take response.
-
I do not take gloria for the things that God
-
helps me with. Do you know why? Because I don't
-
want it to stop the moment I say, it's my
-
intelligence that cause that that that thing in the toilet
-
to be a fixed. Even those little things will stop.
-
I told the last last time I shared this message,
-
I said, I got a new project. The Lord is
-
my heart. You know what it is? Fix the washing machine.
-
Because if I don't fix the washing mission, I've got
-
to buy a new washing machine. So I ask the
-
Lord Lord, what is it? He says, absorbers? Huh, absorbers
-
Are you mean, say, washing machine or absorbers? That I
-
actually went through and the found yeah, they do. They
-
have absorbers. So I researched and I found a place
-
by the absorbers. How much it costs each twenty eight
-
dollars if I buy a new washing machine? How much
-
it will cost me close to two thousand dollars. It
-
is the Lord God will help you. So I'll let
-
you know the next time I come. Whether or not
-
you work. Bible says in everything for all give thanks
-
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus.
-
Concerning you, God's desire is for us to give thanks
-
in every thing. The scripture was before was for all
-
things all right, I want you to know there's a
-
difference between for all things and in all things. Giving
-
thanks for all things is a I thank you, Lord
-
for helping me to do this and helping me to
-
do that. Thank you Lord for the healing. Thank you
-
Lord for the food that's for all things. Giving thanks
-
to God in everything is you know what, Lord, my
-
car tire has got. I got a puncture. Lord, I
-
thank you for this puncture because not because it's it's
-
a puncture, but because perhaps by fixing this puncture you've
-
prevented me from an accident up ahead. See. Do we
-
live a life like that? Perhaps we should? Perhaps we should?
-
And when we give thanks? Oh? Have I ever given
-
thanks to God for a sickness? No? But have I
-
given thanks to God in a sickness? Yes? I'm sick today, Lord,
-
but I can thank you. You know why? Because You're true.
-
I'm thanking God in sickness. Do I say, Oh, God,
-
I thank you I've got chicken pox? No? Why? Because
-
his purpose is for us always to be healed. There's
-
a difference when we become. When you come to terms
-
of the difference, we see a lot more things happen
-
in our lives. Psalms one hundred and four, it says
-
this enter his gates with thanksgiving, and to his courts
-
with praise, Be thankful to him and bless his name. Worship.
-
Let this always be our attitude. Worship. And then the
-
bottom by the scripture says thanks giving, thanks Was that
-
not what we went through in our homesnotes on Wednesday
-
must be politically correct. We did right. But when I
-
prepared this message, I I didn't know. But it just
-
it's the way the Lord works. Okay, So worship, let
-
this be our attitude. The main takeaway The opposite of
-
a slave mentality is a mentality of gratitude. Hey, if
-
you forget everything that I've told you this morning, remember this.
-
The opposite of a slave mentality is a mentality of gratitude.
-
They are opposites. I can only imagine the greatness of
-
the people of God if they had a spirit of gratitude.
-
So end with this statement, let us not be entitled,
-
but let us always be grateful. With that to God,
-
be always grateful. Praise the Lord. Happy New Year twenty
-
twenty five. Let's live a heart life of gratitude and
-
see God accomplish great great faith. Amen.
