The Role of Disciples in the Bible | Elder Terrence

We hope this message will light up your tea.

This morning, the Lord I was asking, Lord God, what

do I what do I share? And the Lord spoke

to me that I'm going to be continuing on the

topic we have been doing, uh of late in ex

Church because we've entered into a time where it's discipleship first.

And come on, yeah, you know how many of you

the moment you hear the word decided to say, oh no,

not again, you know, all right, I'm not going to

ask you to put up your hands, you know, because

it seems that way right. Well, ah, it's a little

bit different this time because I actually intend to get

to the Book of Corinthians, you know, and and and

and in the future when I come here, I will

be speaking from the Book of Corinthians. So this whole

message today is actually an introduction, all right, and I

hope that you and I will learn something from it

because it is important. It is important. What's important. What's

the message message is the role of discipleship. The role

of discipleship, and we are actually going to be looking

at discipleship from the Old Testament to the New Testament

and then we will discover why it is important for

us to be disciples. How many of us think that

getting into discipleship with someone means that person is your boss.

He gets a chance or she gets a chance to

laud it over. You do this, you do that. No,

And we feel maybe that's why we don't want to

get into a disciple relationship with someone, because we feel

we become too We have to account we have to

we have to be accountable. But the issue about discipleship

is not that. And when we begin to understand why

it's good to be discipled and why we should concentrate

on becoming the Lord's disciples, life takes a totally different meaning.

You know, every time Jesus when to pray, and things

happened after that, and we always think it's being disciples

is only talking about supernatural things, it's only talking about

church things, it's only talking about God things. Did you

know that discipleship is talking about life things? See you

and I when when we become the Lord's disciples, it's

about daily living. Hey, Jesus. When Jesus needed to preach

to the people, he went to Simon Peter and he

asked for something quite tangible. I need your boat. So

he gets in the boat, he moves out, and then

he says, right, it's so natural, it's so normal. It

is he I need a car, call a grab natural. Right.

But there are times when the natural is not possible.

And when those times come in the natural is not possible.

Then because your disciples, you can enter the realm of

the supernatural. You see, Jesus needed to get to the

other side. There was no boat. What he did he

walked on water. But you see, so we always think,

and sometimes we might think that when we talk about discipleship,

we're talking about something that's only church God related, you know,

sharing with people, witnessing. All that is true, but it's

much more. It's about your daily living. It's about having

God in your life on a day to day basis

and seeing what He can do for you. Now, I

make it a point to always ask the Lord for ideas.

I do all the time. When I run into difficulties.

My first action is not to I gotta call this repairman,

I gotta call that contractor No, that's not my first thought.

My first thought is God, what can I do? I'm

sure there's an answer. Well, such a scenario came up

this week. Well, we gotta we got you know, we

got we gotta a washing machine, a new washing machine. Okay,

I don't know whether I share with you, but the

old washing machine. I haven't got around fixing that yet.

But I didn't dispose of the old washing machine because

I used the old washing machine to clean the dog's

pads and stuff like that, and I got the new

machine to clean, you know, my clothes. So anyway, this

guy's repair guy, not repair guy. The installation guy came

and he installed a new washing machine. So I used

it right. It was terrible. The clothes came out all

so king wet. It's like as if the spin dride

didn't work. It was terrible. I was so I called

the guy you see you show you saw me a

faulty machine. He said, no, it's not a faulty machine.

Is your water exit pipe higher than the exit pipe

of the washing machine? Say yes? Say this washing machineer?

You know that? What you call it the top road machine?

It uses gravity to remove water. Unlike the front load.

There's a pump to get it out. Say oh, my word,

because my house is catered for the other kind of

washing machine. I'm in trouble. And how many of you know?

Washing machine is not light? It's very heavy. I could

barely move it. You know. I would like to say

I'm that strong, but I'm not. And I was so sad.

Elder neighbor was so sad. We looked at the machine.

Were so sad. I mean really, you know, it walked

our chins, dragging the ground. It was so sad. I

couldn't sleep because that's all I was thinking. It's not

working well. And who did I go to the Lord?

I say, God, surely there must be an answer. What

you want me to call the guy again? What's he

going to do? That? That? That that that I cannot

do except I cannot move the washing machiner it's too heavy.

I didn't know that day. Elder Mabel was also praying.

She's saying, a Lord, there has to be an answer.

I'm so sad. So I didn't know that until after

I fixed the machine. Okay, So as I was doing

my work, suddenly the Lord dropped an idea in my

head and I got very excited. Man, it was so simple.

I straight away texted Elder Mabel and I said, I

need you to prepare a certain place for me. This

is what you do. Remove this removed. That removed is

that there's all the light things she can remove. Get

the other way. I said, I'm coming home today. So

I came home and I told her, Okay, I'm going

to get started. That's the first thing I did. Okay,

no coffee, no tea or not, just get to work.

Because I was so excited. And then she said, all right,

what I'll do is I'll go you. You cannot live

this alone. When you're ready for me to help you,

call me. You know, so I help you. I say, okay,

I'll call you. But in my heart I knew God

gave me the answer already. I'll tell you this with

my own lack of strength, I actually moved the heavier machine.

I just walked it out of the way. And then

what I did was I walked the new machine in place.

I took my saw, I cut my pipe, make it low.

After the Lord gave me the idea, I bought the

the you know these things that raised the All I

did was pull the machine this way, put the two

legs at the back, push the machine that way, put

the two legs in the front, and walk the old

machine back in place, and then I turned on the

machine and it worked. Now, remember that day I was

very sad. Right or the next day I was like

walking on air. You know, I said, because was it

because of just the machine? It's not that, you know,

you know why I was walking on air. The Lord

came through. The Lord came through, And this is what happens.

This is what it means. You see, in discipleship, it

simply means availing yourself to get closer to hear the

voice of the Holy Spirit, to hear the voice of

the one who can help you with any problem you have.

You see, because sometimes your problem will be, Peter, I

need a boat, it's something very physical. And sometimes it'll

be I need to walk on water. I need to

move above the situation. So that's why I want to

share with you about discipleship. So here we're gonna we're

gonna explore a little bit about you know, what it

is and what it has to do with us. Okay,

how many of you know how many times this word

discipleship is mentioned in the Bible. Anybody have an idea,

just shout a number, hazard a guess, don't be shy.

Thirty Okay, thirty. How many of you know how many

times discipleship is mentioned? Okay, let's let's break it down

a little bit. Okay, how many of you know how

many times? Or can hazard a guess how many times

this word discipleship is used in the Old Testament. Come on,

do me shy ten times? Who said ten? Well, it's

a good guess is wrong? Okay? Here this is a

only once. This word disciple shep is mentioned only once,

and it is mentioned in the book of Isaiah Isaiah

chapter eight, verse sixteen. And this is where you will

get excited. You know where this word is first used.

Isaiah is telling his disciples, make sure everything is written

down carefully, make sure you spread this word fully. You

know what was the word? It's in chapter seven. For

unto us, a child is born, and his name shall

be called wonderful counselor Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

So the first time discipleship was ever mentioned in the

Bible still had to do with Jesus. So how can

you and I think that it is not important? In fact,

in Isaiah at sixteen, it says, this bind up the testimonies,

seal the law among my disciples So Isaiah was telling

his disciples something good is going to happen. The Savior

of the world is going to come. He's going to

be a mighty God, is going to be a wonderful

counselor and never lasting. He's going to be your prince

of peace. He's going to be everything that God had

meant for the Savior to be. He's about to make

his entry. So when we talk about being the Lord's disciples,

what are we actually doing? What are we actually saying?

Disciples as follow us and students of the prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah's disciples were dedicated followers who learned from his teaching.

They played a crucial role in understanding and transmitting God's

messages in their time. So what are we as disciples

to learn? We are to be dedicated follow us. Jesus said,

make disciples. What does he say? Make people who are

dedicated followers of my teaching? They played a crucial role

in understanding. Hey, you understand that Jesus saved you, right,

you understand that Jesus forgave you. Right. It's not just

good enough to understand it. You got to transmit it.

You have to tell somebody about it. Now. I know

many of us because I am like that. Just don't

go up to stranger and say, hey, you know, Jesus

are right. How many of us would do that? Oh

we can do that, praise the Lord. But most of

us are are shy. I actually think it's because we

are afraid of rejection. Isn't it true? You do want

a fellows say more congyezu right, that's a that's I

think those of you that understand continues know that, right.

But I want to speak Jesus, so I try and

find ways. So the other day we had a photostatic

machine supplier come to the office and talk about a

new machine. Then he tells me, oh, sorry, I'm a

little bit late. I had to get my child from hospital.

So I said, what was wrong with your child? Oh,

he had a cough, So you know we had to

take in the hospital. That was my opportunity. So I said, hey,

look around you, because for those of you that don't know,

I work in church, right, So I said, look around you.

You know why this place exists. I said, this place

exists because the pastor who founded the church, Pastor Canneth,

his sister committed suicide and he said to himself. He

doesn't want young people to ever go through that. So

he started ministering to people, to young ones, providing an

opportunity for them to get to know Jesus. So I said,

that's why this whole place exists. Everything that you look

around you is to help somebody. Then I told him,

I said, you know, I had this friend. I had

this friend in school. And when the last day of

seeing that friend, I wrote in his autograph book, if

ever you're run into trouble, call on the name of

Jesus and he will come and help you. You remember

that testimony. I shared it with him, and I said,

when this guy, rich guy had his own boat, he

was underwater, he was about to die with no help.

He remembered what I wrote, and he called on the

name of Jesus. He said, Jesus came to him on

the water and helped him. The moment he got to show,

he gave up all his riches and he became a pastor.

From a non believer to a pastor. Something had to

have happened. So I told this guy, I said, I

invite you to church. He says, you know, what you

tell me is very exciting, but I'm a free thinker.

I said, I don't care what kind of thinker. You are,

not important, but I want you to know something. If

ever you run into trouble, call on the name of

Jesus and he will come and help you. What have

I done. I've opened the door because how many of us, Noah,

we go through life. There are so many problems that

we need divine help for. But he's very special. No

He's the same like us, Like you and me, We

will go through those same difficulties. That's what this is about.

You like this slides, aim, No. I did my message.

Then I went to the computer and I said, I

want you to use these words to come up with

the slides. Put some nice pictures there and make it

look nice and interesting, but use my notes. So it says,

can just copy your notes here, copy my notes. Put

it in there. And this came out. Good lad. If not,

you get my same more boring slider. Okay, So that's

what it is. Okay. The other thing that Isaiah's disciples

were to do is they were to preserve and protect

God's revelation. They were to preserve and protect God's revelation.

The disciples were tasked with safeguarding revelations, given to ensuring

that God's words were accurate, accurately transmitted and respected through

the generations. Hey, that's what you and I are supposed

to do. When the Bible says going into the world

and preach the gospel, what is it telling us to do?

It is telling us to accurately send out and transmit

the word of God to the people. When you start

to learn about this discipleship, doesn't become something. Oh, that

means this guy is going to be by boss. Actually,

in what it is, it means God, I'm so glad

you are my boss. Hey, how many of us are

going to go through so many issues in life? Whose

help do we need? I know you're about to get

married soon and we here, so are you right? Yeah?

You know whose help you need? You need God's help.

You need God's help. I mean, come on, how did

Elder Mabele and me gate to thirty five years? You

mean to say it was smooth sailing. There were times

we got in a boat, there were times we walked

on water. Yeah, preserving and protecting God's revelation. So you

know when I was sharing with this guy the forest

that in guy, I have to find something that connected. Right.

I used his child because I'm sure he didn't like

his child being in hospital. And I told him my

own testimony. I said, my child was crying for six hours.

But church first, that's because that's how God brought me up. Okay,

church first. After church, we went straight to the hospital.

The doctor said, your child has got dislocated arm. Ashley,

one year old, dislocated arm. She's sitting with on elder

Mabel's lap. And when the doctor said X ray, I said, no, God,

I believe you. We just came from from a service

that told us God can do anything. We will trust you.

We're going to intercede. We interceded myself, laid hands on Ashley, crying, crying, crying,

late hands. We prayed and say be healed in Jesus name.

I was standing up with a toy in my hand.

The moment I said in Jesus' name, she reaches out

for the toy with the hand that was dislocated, and

then she starts giggling and laughingggling and laughing, giggling the

whole time. You know what we did. We just got

up from the check literally walked to the counter and

said no need for X ray. My child is healed,

and we walked out of the hospital. It connected with

the guy. It connected with him, you say, because and

I told him. I told him, you know what, I

can never look after my child like Jesus can. So

you say, you're a free thinker. I'm a believer. I

need to believe Jesus is there to help me with

those things concerning my children that I cannot handle. It

sunk in connection. When you are sharing with people. It's

not you know, actually strangers. It's a little bit easier

to share with strangers. All you got to do is

find one connection in a letter, rip one connection and

get your food in the door, and don't allow him

to shut it until you finish your story. Then say okay,

go bye, because it's not you that'll get the person.

Say when I shared that with my friend, you know

how many years later it took him about four or

five years after I wrote that for him to experience

that situation that he gave his life to the Lord.

I told you about all those friends that I shared with,

and I find what it building churches. You and I

we do not know how many lives we've touched, but

I'll tell you this. If we are interested in maintaining

the purity of God's word and telling it like it is,

God can come through in that situation. God will perform

his word. Yea, God will perform his word. Let's move

to the New Testament. Okay, I'll ask this question again.

How many times is the word disciple engine in the

New Testament? Twenty twenty nine? Twenty nine times? So two

hundred two thousand, two thousand, okay, twenty nine times. Any

other answers ten? You know these are really good guesses,

all wrong? Ready for the answer two hundred and sixty times?

Are you surprised to know that? It shouldn't surprise us

because it's something close to God's heart. I'm excited to

get to the Book of Corinthians, you know. Do you

know why? You see? Because discipleship is learning how to

be like Christ in christless like situations. Disciple is that

how to live like Jesus in situations where Jesus does

not live or you know, his mannerism is not there,

his way of doing things is not there. That was

like Corinthian, Corinthian, corinth corinth all right, because at that

time when they were in corinth The place was not

Christian like you know, it needed help, It needed Jesus

to enter the situation. That's why I'm very excited to

get to the Book of Corinthians. So this becomes really

important because when we understand that discipleship is just learning

about Jesus and to try to become more like him,

life gets very, very exciting. So the word in Greek

is martetis this is a disciple in the New Testament,

and really this means one who learns from a teacher.

The moment we hear that becomes so easy to want

to become a disciple, isn't it. What does it mean?

Learn who learns from a teacher? The concept emphasizes the

importance of lifelong learning in the Christian faith. I praise

the Lord. I am not a genius. I used to

tell my children teach them the song Dead is a genius.

That is because I wanted to teach them that song.

So you know, every time you say, okay, hit the

reft there and my kids for a little while, they

they used to do it love when they were young

and three four years old. But I thank God, I'm

not a genius. You know why, because I need to

keep learning. I need to keep learning. I'm sixty three

years old, but I still continue to learn new things.

What's the latest skill I learned? The idea just came

to me. Why don't you try and see where whether

AI can draw you some nice lights? And he did. Wow,

I was thinking myself. I was so pleased, and I

was saying, God, this is so cool. I don't have

to do those boring PowerPoint slides anymore. And then if

I don't like the picture, I just tell it put

another picture in and it will change the picture. Wonderful life. Hmm.

So life is about constant learning. And this is why

I tell you discipleship is exciting because I'm as always

asking the Lord to teach me. I mean, nobody taught

me that. I didn't going to ask anybody, not to

say I won't ask, I will ask. But you see,

because I asked the Lord, he answered, So how many

of us I'm missing out on these supernatural answers because

we don't ask? Hey, you get stuck in your work.

That's a good place to be, you know why, because

when you get stuck in your work, the Lord who

can unstuck things can help you. Hey, Holy Spirit is

supposed to be there. The Holy Spirit is supposed to

be who's helper. You're a helper, you think only to

understand the word, Yes, to understand the word. But besides that,

he is also the one who will tell you which

boat to get into and when to walk on water.

Jesus instructions to make disciples of all nations. You know,

in Matthew twenty eight, he commands his followers spread the teaching,

baptize all nations, reinforcing the global mission or discipleship. So

we are not supposed to sit down and keep him

to ourselves. Look, I'm not saying we stand in a

box and and and preach, which we can du lah. Okay,

if that's what you want to do, go for it.

But how about all those people that you come into

contact with. Then you can just tell them about the Lord,

tell them something that will interest them. You know, my

wife and me we decided to make we've now designed

or in the process, so it's almost finished. These little

calling cards, little little calling cards. And these calling cards

is so when we go for a morning walks, when

we see neighbors, we'll give them a card and invite

them to homes. Because when the homes does not grow

because the people don't bring people. It's okay, God is

able to do it. But if we believe we can

do it, So what are we going to do. We've

got to get the word out there, right, give them

a card. Hey, you need an answer, Come, we'll pray

for you. It's like you know those days Paladin gives

his card, have gun, will travel You young ones won't know.

Only your dad might know. Okay. It gives out a

card with a with a with a horse on it. Okay.

So it's like that the disciples are They have an

active role in spreading Jesus teaching. Oh I'm not a teacher.

You are a teacher. Yeah, you are a teacher when

you are when your child is learning to walk? Who

do you think your child is learning to walk from

the dogs? Your pet dogs? No, they're looking at you

father and mother. Hey, these two people are there walking like,

how come I'm on the ground and now mind let

me try. Do you know who's teaching them? You're teaching them.

How many of you seen children walk like the parents? Yeah?

Why not? Why you taught? Damn? What does scriptures say

is saying you have a role in sharing, Jesus teaching,

establishing the foundation for the early Church, and influencing counsels

of lives with the message of love and redemption. So

you can't talk about a lot of things. What can

you talk about, Hey, Jesus loves human. You know, he

loved me. He helped me out of many many problems.

Talk about that. No need to talk straight about you know,

at the Last Supper, Jesus took bread broken and said

to his disciples, eat, for this is my body which

is given for you. Don't start with that alone. When

somebody shared with you, they started with that. No, they

started with Jesus loves human. Hey, you've got a problem,

don't worry. He can take care of it. Start with

that first. They've got a whole long life to learn

about that. Eventually they will get to it because they

come to you. What are you doing. Jesus said for

us to do this because it reminds us of what

he did. You remember, Jesus said, you, Ah, this has

to do with that. So you've opened another door to

teach them. The first time the guy walks into church,

he's a non believer. I need to tell you that.

When Jesus died he went into hell, and he removed

the kids the kingdom, and he broke them to pieces.

The further be thinking, what are you talking about? That

is theology, deeper, deeper theology. It comes after the year

about how Jesus loves them, for God so loved the

world that he gave He's only begotten son that whosoever

believes in it should not perish but have everlasting life.

Was that a difficult statement? There was an easy statement?

Can you imagine if started with another statement like that,

it's a tough one. Oh, Lucif was there and he

saw the worship and he wanted it for himself, and

so he took you know, one third of heaven. You

start with that, the guy is blinging. You're talking about

what I had the show, Constantina. No, you know, there's

a time for everything. Teach them the word, teach them

about Jesus. Let's talk a little bit about the characteristics

of a disciple. So what are the characteristics of a disciple? Disciples?

There should be a commitment to learning and applying of teaching.

Why are you going to be disciple is because you

want to be committed to learning from the Lord and

to applying those teaching. What is the point of learning

even it cannot be applied. Only that person can pray

for healing. Is that what the Lord said? You will

never know how the Lord can use you unless you

go and pray for somebody else. So consider yourself like

a battery. Everywhere you go, you're spreading the energy of thood.

You be that battery, that light. That's why Bible says

no one puts lights a light and then puts it

under a basket. What's the point you think that God

lit up your soul so you can keep it to yourself. No,

so that this happens, exhibit a strong dedication and applying

this teaching and what their daily lives. This is what

I do. You say, all these things that happened for me,

the simple things like how to solve the problem in

the washing machine, how to fix the TV? How does

that happen? It's because I know God has the answers.

You see, he's the ultimate creator. He created everything. So

if he created everything, that's what the Bible says. He

created everything. Without him, nothing was created that has been created.

So that means the washing machine was created because Jesus

had had a hand in it. It's true. What if

Jesus didn't have a hand in washing miss washing? Imagine

how after church you go back home. You gotta wash

clothes by hand. God wanted to save you time, so

he allowed the washing machine to be invented so you

got more time to do his things. Cracknaut guys, if

you learn what and what an amazing thing it is

to be able to ask the Lord how can I

do this? You're talking about your dad? What an amazing

testimony you see? You eventually came to the conclusion only

one could help. There's a conclusion. She came to God

will give you ideas. Man. Faithfulness and obedient to God's word, Joel,

isn't this guy look like you? There's not wearing glasses. Hey,

I didn't know you're going to be here today. But

not the mind not mine. See. Faithfulness and obedience to

God's word. A true disciple shows faith and wavering faithfulness

and hearing the God worth exemplifying obedience to action that

reflect a deep understanding and respect or divine teaching. What

does it mean obedience to God's word? Will we succeed always? No?

Many times you're going to fail. Many times you're going

to miss the mark. Many times we are going to

not be able to do it the way God means

it to do. But does that mean we fall apart

and give up?

No?

What is it talking about and weaving in faithfulness means

don't stop trying. Don't stop trying. How many of you

attended homes this week? And remember worship is small? Remember that?

And what was it said about worship being small? You know,

God's really interested. And sometimes in the process of doing

we do it wrong. We're trying to do right where

God is concerned, we do it wrong. But what happens

Because God knows we are trying to do it his way,

and still we make mistakes. What does he do? He

gives us a way to accomplish it, and then we

learn life is exciting. Man. You know, you and I

we have helper that people pay other people to give,

but they don't realize where your help comes from. And

then one day when they ask you, how come you

can do ha? Do open put the food in Jesus.

You're getting something, okay, transformation into the likeness of Christ.

This is another thing that a disciple is his disciple.

Disciples experience a transformative journey aiming to embody Jesus, cultivating

qualities as a compassion human and love that Jesus that

reflect Jesus character. Hey, how many of us have gone

to it? And this is a simple example of how

God is changing us. Okay, how many of us gone

to a supermarket and we picked the wrong thing and

then we realize some where in another section that we

pick the wrong thing. We take the wrong thing and

just put it there, or what do we do? We

go back and put it where we took it from.

You know, this is the smallest and simplest test to

know that God is working in our life because that

very act pleases the Lord because when we decided to

do that, we were thinking about that poor guy that

has to do it if we don't do it right.

Have you seen people who take things and just leave

it anywhere? Somebody has to do the work, you know,

Elder Maehble, when she goes to a restauranta, I always

ask if you want me to ask them for the

broom and the more you can have them in that also,

because what she'll do is a she will put everything

and she'll take wet wipe, she'll clean the table, then

take the thing and put and the table is so

I can ask them for the broom. But you see

what is actually happened. It's a transformation of Jesus. You see,

we think that transformation is walking like this, Holy you

been down, white robe, don't look up? Yes my child, yes,

my daughter. Does it mean that? No, It means whether

people are looking at you or not looking at you,

your life has changed such that you are making a

difference wherever you walk. That is what is being transformed

into the likeness of Christ. Isn't that amazing? And then

you catch yourself and say, hey, why am I doing this?

And you will answer yourself because it pleases Jesus. Jesus

is the reason I'm doing that. That's what it means.

It means you are becoming more of His disciple. Did

anybody tell you that? Sometimes you don't realize it, but

when you stop being thinking, why do I do such

a thing? Transformative journey. Yeah, and discipleships in practice, the

early Church use of disciples before Christian You know what,

Remember I said that I'm more cong yasu because in the

early Church, Jesus was a swear Wordesus was a derogatory term.

Jesus was a term that they user that yeah, yeah,

not nice. So people thought they were saying, oh, you're Christian,

were not nice, you know. It's like that, huh, Like

how the Jews used to say, you're a Samaritan. I

cannot have anything to do with you, right, that's what

the word. But today we were Christians. Christ in me

like a badge of honor. It's become a badge of honor.

So when someone says more cong yezu to me, I

will say no, I will come yezo more and more

and more, because that's what you need to hear. So

the early Church, this is what the early Church experience.

We may experience that it's called in a certain way,

it's called a persecution. It is another photo that looks

like you are the role of disciples, except those days

no glasses. Laugh this time, God smile, white teeth just

like you. Yeah, I'm just making fun of him today. Okay.

So the role of disciple in preserving in spring the teaching. Hey,

just like in the Old Testament, in the New Testament,

this is still your task. You are to play what

kind of role, a crucial role in safeguarding Jesus teaching

and ensuring they are transmitted accurately to future generations. Who

are the future generations? Your kids, men, your kids. You

train your child in the ways of the Lord, and

when they grow old, they will not soon depart from it.

That's very poetic way of saying, they won't prove depart

focused on the Book of Corinthians, is because in the

Book of Corinthians, what does Paul say? Paul says in

one Corinthians eleven, Verse one he calls in the Corinthians

to imitate him as he imitates Christ, imitate him as

he imitates Christ, using his life life as a model

for Christian living and highlighting the importance of role models

in faith. You know, discipleship is not just words, It's

how we live. The only Bible some people may ever

read is the one they see in you and me.

Why are you like that, Jesus? Why don't you do this? Jesus?

Why do you do that? Jesus? But you still can

get angry? Yeah, yeah, I'm working on it. You can

be honest what they say. I'm not the perfect example,

but I'll tell you this, Jesus still loves me, and

he knows I'm trying. And because he knows I'm trying,

he still comes true for me every time I pray.

And he can be like that for you. Truth. What

are you not speaking? Truth? You are? And God can

work in the truth that you speak. So addressing and didition,

is how God gives us opportunities to shame share about Him. So,

learning that doesn't end. It's continuous that we try to

do what God tells us to do. We try to

be obedient. Our lives will begin to change. And you

know what, the Bible in this lesson of discipleship tells

us to use our faith and we will exhibit Jesus'

characteristics in the way we live. And it just won't

be for us. But how many of you know that

the future generation needs this? The future generation needs this

when guys like me are gone and we have left
