You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So I'm going to be sharing from John chapter four
-
very much between verses one and thirty eight, and I
-
may not read everything, but I hope to touch on
-
some of these things. And the title of today's word
-
is Jesus has a need. Jesus has a need and
-
it's just not moving. It's not moving. Yeah, okay, Jesus
-
has a need. Do you know that even your Lord
-
and Master can have needs. You're not wonderful. We are
-
built like him. So when I share this word, we're
-
going to learn something about the relationship that God that
-
Jesus wants to have with us. All right, So let's
-
start reading from verse one to verse three. Therefore, when
-
the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus
-
made and baptized more disciples than John, though Jesus himself
-
did not baptize but his disciples, he left you, dear,
-
and departed again to Galilee. Now Jesus always tells the truth,
-
so even his disciples tell the truth. So you know,
-
even though some things were attributed to him which might
-
him been good, his disciples had made it, make it
-
very clear it wasn't Jesus that baptized, but his disciples.
-
So I want you to know that in life there's
-
going to be a lot of noise, and at that moment,
-
Jesus had a lot of noise. There was lots of
-
things being said. Some of it was good, some of
-
it maybe not so good. But you know, like us,
-
when we when people are talking about us, have ever
-
have you ever experiences and you know they are talking
-
good about you, you sort of linger because you want
-
to continue hearing the good stuff right now? At least
-
that's mela is anyone am I speaking to people who
-
are the same? Okay? What about bad stuff? Even more,
-
when people are talking bad stuff, you also want to linger.
-
What are they saying about me? What are they talking about?
-
You know? And look at Jesus. Jesus was hearing stuff
-
being said about him. But I want you to know
-
that Jesus, as far as Jesus was concerned, a man's
-
got to do what a man's got to do, and
-
he did bother him at all. He was not concerned
-
about the chatter. He was not concerned about what was
-
going on, what was being said and we have to
-
learn that from him, because you see, Jesus had a purpose.
-
Jesus had a purpose, and it said that in Worse
-
three he left Judea and departed again to Galilee. Jesus
-
didn't care about the destruction and destruction distractions. Jesus didn't care. Hey,
-
he had something to do and he was not going
-
to let anything stop him. How many of us waste
-
a lot of time? How many of us get distracted
-
by the noise that surround us. I want you to know,
-
time is so short. Jesus will come again soon, and
-
are we gonna waste our time being distracted with white noise?
-
And look, the noise may come in the form of
-
good things being said about you, they may also come
-
in the form of bad things being said about you.
-
Don't waste your time with gossip. Don't waste your time
-
listening to gossip. Because in verse four it says he
-
needed to go through some area. Jesus needed something to
-
be done, and he wasn't gonna let noise distract him.
-
It's wonderful when Jesus needs to do something. Because when
-
Jesus needs to do something, somebody is going to get blessed.
-
The other day, alameable myself. We're having dinner and my
-
go to dinner is ravatse one rava to one up
-
them and the chutney, you know, to say that is
-
my go to dinner. So anyway, we went to the shop,
-
we had this dinner. Then you know, Ellen, we would say, come,
-
let's go to the ninety nine by the side. We
-
need to get something, okay, So we went. When we
-
went to ninety nine, we got whatever we needed to
-
get and we were at the counter and in front
-
of us there was two poor women and they really
-
looked poor, and they were Indonesia, and they wanted to
-
buy a bag of rice. So they put this rice
-
on the counter and they wanted to pay for it,
-
and the person on the counter said, this rice is
-
only for Malaysians, you cannot buy. Have any of you
-
ever heard such thing? Have any of you ever experienced
-
this before, where when you go to the counter and
-
you see somebody being refused from buying a bag of rice,
-
man I, it shocked shocked us, all right, and maybe
-
the shock was what governed our thoughts for a few minutes.
-
So we went thinking straight he was and you could
-
look at these two ladies. I think one was maybe
-
in her thirties or thirty five, and one may have
-
been her mother, and all they wanted was rice to eat.
-
So we paid for our stuff and we went in
-
the car. But both our hearts were not settled. So
-
I said, go back in, give them money, and whatever
-
rise they can buy, it's more expensive rice. Obviously the
-
rise that they are supposed to buy is the more.
-
Give them money so that whatever the additional that they
-
got to pay, they can pay. So elder Maebele went
-
in and she gave them money. She says, but you
-
know this won't be you know, thank you, But how
-
is this going to help? So she says, whatever rise
-
you're going to get, just get that. This is the
-
extra money to pay. Then we got into the car
-
and we drove off, and our hearts were not settled.
-
As we drove off, we were still talking about it
-
and we needed to do something. It was such a
-
strong need that it didn't let go. So I already
-
started the journey and I got back on the main
-
road heading towards my house, and both of us were
-
just not settled. Like Jesus, he needed to do something.
-
We needed to do something. I turned the car around.
-
I turned the car around, and I went back to
-
where I mean, how dumb can I get right? Why
-
didn't I just buy the bag of rice and give her?
-
This is a learning moment for me, all right. I
-
will never make this mistake again. Gosh, when somebody is
-
poor and they have faced it by the bag of rice, duh.
-
And I didn't do that, but my heart, we needed
-
to go back. So turned the car around and we
-
went back and away. We stopped the car. The people
-
in the restaurant came out, the ones who were serving.
-
Is anything the matter? Well, what's the matter? What's the matter?
-
I said, So Eli Mabel explain to him. Know that
-
these people they need food. So we went into the
-
sh shop looking for them. We could not find them.
-
Then we searched every shop in that whole area. We
-
went shop to shop looking for them, and we could
-
not find them. Opportunity gone. That's a lesson that we learned.
-
And this happened because I was preparing this one, and
-
I think John knows this. I actually prepared this as
-
a devotion for Victory Academy, you know, our teacher's devotion.
-
But and I thought that that was the end of it.
-
The Lord said, no, this is what I want you
-
to share. I want you to share. That's what it means,
-
the word needed. When you need to do something, you
-
will not stand stagnant. You will move. Jesus moved. You see,
-
Jesus needed to go to a place that none of
-
his people would go to. Do you realize that there
-
are places that people will not allow you to go to,
-
either because of you know, family restrictions or you know
-
caste restrictions or whatever. This was it. The Jews had
-
nothing to do with the Samaritans, but Jesus needed to
-
go there. And in verse five, so he came to
-
a city of Samaria, which is called Sacha, near the
-
plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
-
Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus, therefore, being wearied from
-
his journey, set us by the well. And what was
-
the other one? He was about the sixth hour? It
-
was about the sixth hour. You know, Jesus didn't make
-
any mistake. It was intentional. You see, he had a
-
destiny with someone, so he needed to go there. Jesus
-
has a destiny with us, and you know he has
-
made the first move. Do you remember when I shared
-
this testimony when this person was dying and didn't want
-
to accept the Lord? And I said, God, what do
-
I share with this person in person? And Jesus put
-
in my heart talk Badminton? Remember that? Do you know
-
when Jesus wants to have a conversation with us, he
-
breaks it down to something very very simple? All right?
-
It says here that he was wearied from his journey,
-
so he sat by a well because he was waiting
-
for someone. Hey, do you think that when you come
-
to church, Jesus comes in only after you come? Do
-
you realize that when you come on a Sunday, he
-
has been waiting the whole day because he looks forward
-
to his interaction with you. This scripture tells me Jesus
-
made the move first. You know, Jesus was there sitting
-
and waiting for someone to come to him. Now, a
-
woman of Samaria. She's a Samaritan. You gotta love these Samaritans, okay,
-
because they're kind of good people. You remember the good Samaritan.
-
It was a Samaritan that had the Jew. All right.
-
Here's another case of another Samaritan. So the Jews just
-
didn't like Samaritans all right, but Jesus had a soft
-
spot for them. Came to draw water and Jesus said
-
to her, give me a drink for his day. Diciples
-
had gone away into the city to buy food. This
-
was a conversational starter. Jesus loves to start conversations with us.
-
You know, do you think when Jesus comes and starts
-
a conversation with us, he says, he equals MC squared?
-
What's that? Lot? You see? This is the principle of
-
nuclear vision, and from this you can create the atomic
-
bomb most of us is flying over our head, or
-
let's stop fusion. Fusion is when the atoms come together,
-
and it's called power, no heat, no explosion. A Lord
-
of do we care? We don't care. But when Jesus
-
comes to talk to us, he comes with a conversational start,
-
something that we can identify with many years ago, when
-
I before I became a Christian, I thought I was one. Okay,
-
I thought I was born as a Christian. I was
-
in a nominal church. But how many of you know
-
that you're a Christian only when you make a personal
-
decision to have Jesus in your heart. It's not why
-
you attend. It's not who you know, it's not who
-
you rub shoulders with, it's not the work that you
-
do in church. It is your personal relationship with the Lord.
-
So I thought I was a Christian all right. So
-
Jesus was waiting for me one day to go to
-
this little church in a jungle, or right is a law,
-
a little wooden church, which I attended for the first time.
-
And it was during the worship the Lord had a
-
conversation with me in my ear that I could hear.
-
He didn't speak in my heart. I heard it, and
-
very simple words. He said, Terence, you're not a Christian?
-
Will you accept me? Now? The smooth, gentle voice. I
-
heard it in my ears, quietly, without anybody knowing. I
-
gave my life to Christ. I didn't wait for the
-
altar call. Some of us wait for the altar call,
-
and even when the altar call is given, we don't
-
give our life to Christ. What's wrong with us? Jesus
-
wanted to start a conversation, so he didn't ask the
-
woman anything extraordinary, ask us some simple thing. Give me
-
a drink. Do you think Jesus was interested in the water.
-
Do you think Jesus was interested to have a drink.
-
You studied that scripture, nohad does it say he took
-
a drink? So he wasn't really interested in the drink.
-
What was he interested in starting a conversation? He wanted
-
to meet the woman where she was, you see, because
-
she came to the well to draw water for a drink. Okay,
-
right then the woman said to him, how is it
-
that you, being a Jew, ask a drink from me,
-
a Samaritan woman? For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
-
Jesus goes after the rejected. And in case you don't know,
-
all of us are rejected. The Bible says, there's no good,
-
no no no one. We are all uh in a
-
way rejects. The Bible says, for God so loved the
-
world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever
-
believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
-
So he came for all of us. We are rejected.
-
No more. So if you feel all me, oh my,
-
I'm nobody, I'm so sad. Gave it a program. Okay.
-
I always tell Elder Maybel, I say, you know, nobody
-
loves me. I was telling all my life people I
-
have met, have come up to me and say I
-
don't like you. It's true, even my own brothers. I mean,
-
one day I'm playing table tennis and my brother at
-
table yeah, table tennis on the dining table playing. Then
-
I say I don't want to play. It takes the
-
bad throws and make it my head and then I'm bleeding.
-
What did I I just say I don't play table tennis.
-
You're gonna whack me like that until eight pm in
-
the night. My mate has to carry me. I'm eight
-
years old, carry me with a towel hel to my head,
-
carry it to my doctor's house is just down the road,
-
and he has got to take me in his car,
-
go to the cleanic, open the clinic, stitch my head up,
-
bring me back home. All the friends I played tennis
-
one day, they just came up to me, say, you know, Terrence,
-
when you first met you, we just didn't like you.
-
I said, what's wrong with you? What did I do? No, Li,
-
it's just your face so sad, so sad, sad, I
-
mean says it's terrible, terrible. I went to Singapore, Okay,
-
first time I'm walking into the school. I'm walking into school.
-
I'm doing my eight of us. I walk into the school,
-
nobody wants to talk to me, so late on they
-
became my friends. Okay, so ask him what was said?
-
We just didn't like you, But why what did I
-
do to you? You just carried yourself like you knew everything.
-
Unfortunately it was true that I did not no, no, no,
-
I was setting you all up for that one, but
-
it was true. So el Maebel said, you're feeling sorry
-
for yourselver. I said, no, I'm not feeling sorry. I'm
-
actually wearing it like a badge because I said, it
-
doesn't matter. I know one person at least who loved
-
me for who I was, Jesus, So it didn't matter
-
whether people like me or didn't like me. I wear
-
it like a badge now, all these things that I say,
-
It really doesn't matter whether people believe what I say
-
or not, because I know God knows it's true and
-
this is what it is. So when this woman came,
-
how is it you who you are whant to have
-
dealings with me? God? You're so good, you're so holy,
-
you're so wonderful. What do you want with me? Who am? I?
-
I can tell you? God comes for those that are
-
not good. And you know what all of us qualify.
-
As I said earlier on the Bible says, there is
-
no good, no, not one. He came for us. So
-
so Jesus said to her. Once the conversation has started,
-
do you think Jesus is interested to keep it so
-
so on the surface Jesus starts a conversation only to
-
go deeper. He starts a conversation only to go deeper.
-
Jesus answered and said to her, if you knew the
-
gift of God, and who is it who says to
-
you give me a drink, you would have asked him
-
and he would have given you living water. Every time
-
I do my quiet time, when it comes to what
-
the words that Jesus says, I always imagine him to
-
have this low, deep, soothing voice. You know it brings impact.
-
When you read your Bible, don't just read it with
-
your eyes. When you read it alouder. You are hearing,
-
you are seeing, you are speaking the word of God.
-
And since you're holding a Bible, you're touching as well.
-
But don't go and taste her, don't, Okay, the Bible says,
-
taste him, taste and see that the Lord is God
-
so you see, give me a drink, So the woman said, sir.
-
You see, the woman doesn't understand. So now Jesus is
-
going to take her in to a better lesson. Hey,
-
when the Lord starts his conversation with you, did it
-
remain with terrence? You're not a Christian except me? Now? No,
-
that was forty five years ago. Today, I know the
-
Lord as a healer. I know someone who is as
-
I know him as a savior. I know I know
-
him for the good that he does. I know him
-
as a no nonsense character. I know the Lord forty
-
five years So here Jesus answered and said to her,
-
he would have given you living. What the woman said
-
to him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with. What
-
are you talking about, Jesus? What do you know? You
-
don't have the implements, you don't have the tools. What
-
do you know about accountancy? What do you know about
-
being a doctor? What do you know about aviation? Are
-
you greater than our father Jacob who gave us the
-
well and drank from it himself, as well as his
-
sons and his livestock. Now the woman is accepting his
-
invitation to go deeper, because now she is beginning to
-
ask deeper questions. Jesus has first introduced himself to her,
-
and now she is trying to find out who are
-
you to answer those questions? Yeah, Jesus knows much about
-
accountancy refer to the Book of Numbers. Jesus knows about
-
aviation because he created the birds, so he knows those things,
-
which is why those of us who need to know
-
anything about anything can go to him and get answers.
-
So this is what Jesus. Are you greater than her
-
father Jacob? You see, because as far as the woman
-
was concerned, Jacob was someone special, and if you're saying
-
you are special, you should at least be better than him.
-
It stuck. Okay, never mind, I'll look at it here.
-
So Jesus answers say, okay, next one, go to the
-
next light. Please. The woman said to her, Sir, give
-
me this water that I may not thirst nor come
-
here to draw. You. See, now Jesus has said first
-
she asks him, are you greater than Jacob? You know
-
how Jesus answers the question. Jesus is saying yes, because
-
the water which I give you want thirst. I'm about
-
to fulfill your desire. Do you think the desire that
-
this woman was interested. One was water. She's about to
-
let the Lord know exactly what is important to her.
-
And Jesus was leading the conversation to that. All right,
-
so he says, now I'm going to give you something
-
you want thirst And every time we want something for
-
the Lord, Jesus is going to demand something from us.
-
You know what he's going to demand from us. Truth,
-
Go and call your husband. Go and call your husband.
-
The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Now
-
the woman has responded, right, give me. I want to
-
know more about you. Jesus requires truth. A if you
-
have to hide yourself from anyone, do not hide who
-
you are from Jesus. If the whole world doesn't see
-
who you are, it's okay. But there must be one
-
person who sees you exactly for who you are. Who
-
is that Jesus, because he is the only one who's
-
going to help. Look at what this woman said. This
-
woman answered in truth, I have no husband. Go to
-
the next slide. Jesus said to her, you have well
-
said I have no husband, for you have had five husbands,
-
and the one whom you now have is not your husband.
-
In that you spoke truly So now that the woman
-
has answered in truth, Jesus now shows off. Isn't it wonderful?
-
When Jesus shows off, Jesus is actually showing us that
-
he knew everything about us to begin with. You can't
-
hide anything from him, So why do you even try? Guys,
-
if you are a rogue, let's say you're a rogue,
-
tell the Lord Lord, I am a rogue. He can
-
work with that. But if you're a rogue and you say, God,
-
I'm good, he can't work with that because he needs
-
to work with truth. And when you speak the truth,
-
even though it's bad, Jesus can work with it that
-
you spoke truly. Look at what's next the woman and
-
said to her, you see now when Jesus shows her
-
that he knows about her, understanding is beginning to come
-
into her heart. What kind of understanding. I am not
-
dealing with somebody ordinary. This is somebody extraordinary, somebody special.
-
You want to get to know Jesus. Speak truth to him.
-
And the more truth you speak to him, he will
-
reveal more of himself to you. It says here the
-
woman said, I perceive that you're a prophet. So now
-
she's beginning to see there's something godly about this man. Here.
-
We go through life making our mistakes, We go through
-
life missing on things. I mean, I you know, elder
-
Maeoble and myself were kicking ourselves or not giving that
-
woman rise. But you know God doesn't hold it against us.
-
He allowed it to happen. Why so we will know
-
the next time never to get caught in a situation
-
like this. And I dare say, if you find poor
-
people wanting to be by rise and they are not
-
allowed to because of some law, you buy it for them.
-
He says, Sir, I perceive that you're a prophet. When
-
she begins to see who Jesus is, she now gets
-
real with him. She goes deeper. You see, Jesus starts
-
the conversation. She replies, Jesus reveals more of a self.
-
Fate becomes begins to get into her, and Jesus gives
-
more of himself. Now what does she do? She starts
-
to get to the matter which Jesus attracted Jesus to
-
her in the first place. Do you know that Jesus
-
came to Samaria because of what's about to happen next?
-
That's the reason he came. And what was the reason.
-
The woman said to him, say, I perceive a prophet,
-
our father's worship on this mountain, and you Jews say
-
that in Jerusalem is the place we ought, where one
-
ought to worship? Do you realize what the Jews had
-
done the Jews in that statement towards the Samaritans. Remember,
-
Samaritans were not allowed or were frowned upon, going to
-
Jewish places. Right? What were the Jews actually telling her?
-
You are not good enough to worship God, You are
-
not good enough to worship God? You know what Jesus
-
was saying? Thank God, you're not good enough, because now
-
you can worship God. What drew Jesus to that place?
-
This question? But you say where that you know? Where
-
is this place we ought to worship? Tell me you
-
know what was in a woman's heart worship? She wanted
-
to worship. Out of everything she wanted to worship. She
-
wasn't really interested in that drink. What was she interested
-
in worship? And probably she was feeling bad because if
-
the Jews were right that they could only worship in Jerusalem,
-
they were not allowed in Jerusalem, they were frowned upon
-
in Jerusalem, she would have no place to worship and
-
Jesus came to answer the question of worship. Hey, we
-
hear that Jesus is attracted to faith. That is true.
-
That is true. There is one more thing that attracts
-
Jesus where Jesus needs to do something about it. What
-
is that, the desire to worship. Let's see what happens next.
-
Jesus to her woman, Believe me, the hour is coming
-
when you will neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem
-
worship the Father. You worship what you do not know.
-
We know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews.
-
Jesus was speaking the truth because he is Jewish. He
-
was a Jew. But then he was telling them, telling
-
her the day is coming where it's not the place.
-
We're not concerned about the place. We're concerned about the heart.
-
Jesus concern about the heart. So the heart of all
-
our issues is you know what, the heart. You want
-
your life to make a difference, you want your life
-
to change. It's very simple. Give the Lord your heart.
-
It's your heart. He's after so much, so he needed
-
to go to a place where nobody else of his
-
kind wanted to go. Jesus willing to buck the trend.
-
Jesus willing to go against the norm, aren't you in
-
iye so pleased about that? Because if Jesus was not
-
interested in going against the norm, we are not saved.
-
We won't be saved. Salvation will only be for the Jews.
-
But that was not the case. Let's see what happens next.
-
But the hour is coming, and now is when the
-
true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and it truth.
-
For the Father is seeking such to worship him. God
-
is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in
-
spirit and truth. It's not about the place, man, It's
-
never been about the place of worship. It has always
-
been about the spirit and truth. You can worship while
-
you're taking your shower. You know when I worship. I
-
worship every Sunday at five am on my walks, on
-
my walks. Why I do that? Like I say, I'm
-
a fidgety person, so I take care of the fidgitanness
-
of my body. So while I'm walking, I'm not concentrating
-
on being fidgety. I can concentrate on the word, concentrate
-
on the Lord. So take care of the fidgitanness, fidgetiness.
-
I don't need to use a fidget spinner. God is
-
spirit and those who worship him must worship him in
-
spirit and truth. So now God has gone deeper with
-
her because she was deep with him. God will respond
-
to you when you come to him with truth, when
-
you come to him, because He's already started the conversation.
-
How many of you know that God has started conversations
-
with you. How many of you know that He started
-
conversations with you? And He is interrusted with what you
-
have to say, because when you speak, as long as
-
it's truth to you, he will respond. Let's see what
-
happens next. The woman said to him, I know that
-
the Messiah is coming. You see now that Jesus has
-
responded to her about worship. Now she is going a
-
step further. She says this, I know that the Messiah
-
is coming, who is called Christ. When he comes, he
-
will tell us all things. So, j this woman knew
-
the word of God, so besides worship, she was looking
-
for the Messiah and I love Jesus. Reply, he said,
-
Jesus said to her, I who speak to you, And
-
this sounds very I can only do this with Michael. Okay,
-
you only do this with the mike. Okay, so I
-
who speak to you? And he, Jesus now has revealed
-
himself fully to the woman, someone whom he is kind,
-
did not meet, did not have anything to do with.
-
But he needed to come to a place where he
-
could touch this woman. Let's see what happens next. Okay.
-
And at this point his disciples came, and they marveled
-
that he talked with a woman. Yet no one said,
-
why do you seek or why are you talking with her?
-
So this tells me that Jesus never talked with women alone.
-
The marvel they knew him, They were with him for
-
so many years, all right. They never saw him speak
-
privately with a woman. So this surprised them. But you
-
got to love the disciples. They're always on time late.
-
The woman then left the water pot. Now you see
-
her when something better has come, when your answers have
-
been met, when the thing in your heart has been addressed,
-
The things that you thought were important no longer have
-
any meaning for you. She left the water pot. She
-
came to the well right to draw water from the water.
-
Do you think that was important to her? Now? She
-
just left it? What did the scripture say? And when
-
her way into the sea and said to the man,
-
come and see a man who told me all things
-
that I ever did. Could this be the Christ? I
-
want you to know something. A real encounter with Jesus
-
makes us evangelists. She could have kept that knowledge to herself,
-
but she just gave up what she knew to run
-
and tell others. I have met someone who is beyond extraordinary.
-
I want you to know. That's what discipleship is, That's
-
what a disciple relationship is. She just learned who Jesus was,
-
and in the very next instant, what is she doing
-
She's telling someone? Is she telling something she does not know?
-
What is she doing? She's telling what she knows. I
-
met someone. He told me everything I did. I believe
-
he's the Christ. You gotta understand the poetric language. Could
-
this be the Christ? Because you know later on she said,
-
I don't believe you or what you say. I believe
-
because I've met him. So she was actually saying, this
-
is the Christ? Could this be the Christ? Next one
-
thirty so the event of the Citian came to him.
-
She must have been really persuasive. How many of you
-
try to get your friends who come to church and
-
they don't show up, true not. But look at this woman.
-
She was so persuasive because she had a rail encounter
-
with Jesus. The city came to him. In the meantime,
-
his disciples a gym rabbi eat. You gotta love the
-
disciples because they always one step out of it. They
-
miss what's happening. And that's okay. They're like us, we
-
kind of miss what's happening. We don't get it sometimes,
-
so they said. But he said to them, I have
-
food to eat, which you do not know. Therefore, the
-
disciples said to one another, as any one brought him
-
anything to eat, you gotta love the disciples. God has
-
got a sense of human When you read things like this,
-
it's meant for you to laugh, because you know, the
-
disciples were the disciples like it was, there were always
-
one step behind. They missed it. Actually, Jesus was having lunch.
-
Did you know when Jesus was was sharing the you know,
-
talking to her and sharing about himself. You know what
-
he was doing. He was having lunch. I have food
-
to know, food to eat which you don't know. What
-
is it doing the work of God? What scriptures saying
-
the next one, and he said to them, my food
-
is to do the will of him who sent me
-
and to finish his work. Wow. You know there's a food.
-
It's it's a supernatural food. You know what was Jesus
-
supernatural food doing the will and the work of God.
-
These disciples would learn it later, but for now they
-
kind of missed it. Next one, and many of the
-
Samaritans of that city believed in him because of the
-
word of because of the word of the woman who testified.
-
He told me all that I ever did. Did I
-
not tell you that she was extraordined? She became an evangelist.
-
She didn't let them talk her out of it. She said, no,
-
you gotta know this man is special. He said everything
-
that I ever did. Wow. And now they say to her.
-
When it came to him, they urged him to stay
-
with them, and he stayed there two days, and many
-
more believed because of his own word. Next one, then
-
they said to the woman, now we believe not because
-
of what you said, for we ourselves have heard him,
-
and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the
-
same of the world. Jesus is not asking us a
-
to share, you know, theater theological expositions with people. He
-
equals MC squared. Is that important to you? No? But
-
what is he saying? What's happening here? She's telling them
-
what she knows. She's telling them how he touched her.
-
When you tell people how the Lord touched you, that's
-
enough they will come to the Lord, because that's what
-
Scripture is showing us. Here, say what you know. And
-
when she said what she knew, a whole city came
-
to know Jesus. And look at what do you know?
-
That faith in them came before they spoke to the Lord.
-
It was in the worse before go back, go back,
-
and many of the Samarians of the city believed in
-
him because of the word of the woman. Because of
-
the things that happen in your life, people will believe.
-
And after they believe your words, when they get to
-
know Jesus, they will tell you. Now, I believe for
-
myself that's exactly what happened here. It's not just by
-
your word. I believe because I know him. I believe
-
because he has been real in my life. He has
-
been special in my life. Guys, is there anymore after that? No? More?
-
I want you to know something. The Lord loves us
-
so much, He cares for us so much he wants
-
to have a conversation. Now. That conversation could be one
-
to save you. That conversation could be one that has
-
to do with salvation. That conversation could also be one
-
to help you with the problems you're facing. But you see,
-
if you don't speak to him in truth, the woman
-
took time out from her busy schedule. She came to
-
get water, but she took time out to have a
-
conversation with him. When you and I take time out
-
to have a conversation with Jesus, he will go deeper
-
and deeper and deeper until we connect in truth, and
-
then the miracle happens. So the word this morning. If
-
you've forgotten everything that I've said, if you can't remember
-
anything that I've said, remember this, Jesus once to have
-
conversations with you, and those conversations will bring great results.
-
Some of you are young. I'm looking around. All of
-
you are younger than me. Okay. The reason I say
-
that is because I've seen the Lord do so much
-
for me. But you want to know something. You're at
-
the beginning of your lives. You're at the start where
-
God's going to do supernatural things for you. He's going
-
to astound you. You're gonna have forty to fifty years
-
of the Lord blessing you beyond measure. Don't wait to
-
take the time. It took me for me to learn
-
all these things. Now we sharing you were telling you,
-
so that you can start having those conversations and you
-
get a head start. Forty years from now, you will
-
achieve much more than I did during this time. So
-
I want to praise the Lord. That's the word of
-
the Lord this morning. I hope it has blessed you
-
as much as it's blessed me sharing it.
-
We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
