You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So this morning, I want to speak about the discipleship,
-
as you all know that we are on this team,
-
but really I would speaking about the daily routine, discipleship
-
and destiny. How our daily routine, right, God uses the
-
daily routine of our life in your life as well
-
as part of the discipleship process.
-
Discipleship is not a class, It's a journey. Amen.
-
It's a journey whereby you and I would go to
-
one a daily your daily life and God uses the
-
daily routine.
-
Amen.
-
Someone say daily routine, your daily routines of your life,
-
and you use that to shape us molders point us
-
to the destiny that He wants us to embrace. And
-
God always gives you a choice whether or not you
-
want to step into it all every man there, I
-
was talking to a parent and just yes on Friday
-
night at homes and his parents were just telling us
-
about the about her son and the son right now,
-
I think, if I'm not wrong, just graduated from ex
-
kids in between like like twins like that, And I
-
told the mommy thisy mom, you always say that I
-
have a choice.
-
I want to exercise my choice right now. I don't
-
to go to church.
-
That's what the mom was, just like, I want the
-
exercise my choice right now.
-
I do not want to go to church.
-
Right that's your belief was, that is what you want
-
to do on a Sunday morning. I want to sleep.
-
I want to stay at home. I got no interest.
-
And you know, and and this mom, of course, you know,
-
and any parent hearing that defigures why why where did
-
he go wrong? What happened to my son that was
-
so excited at the beginning? I was in between right
-
and and through the course of you know, of coming
-
to church, right, U, he sort of like lost interest
-
and always been found sleeping at the back. And I
-
think the mom went for a meeting one day, brought
-
the sun along and I think someone was sharing and
-
he got revived, He got rewived, And they say, Mom,
-
I just want to let you know that I caught
-
the word wow such a young age.
-
I caught the word that the speaker was sharing.
-
And I want to let you know I want to
-
come back to church and the Sunday itself, the Sunday itself, right,
-
the mom they had to wake him up. He woke
-
up by himself and told him, up, I'm ready to
-
go to church. I want to let you know it's
-
true your daily routine. You go, God does encourage you.
-
So don't give up yet. All right, So if you
-
have your Bible with reveal, I presume you have or
-
your phone, which is turned. The first semiche of the
-
ninth we got read from worse one to words three,
-
subsequently from five four to five or something.
-
All right?
-
Set first semech ofter nine was one. There was a
-
man of Benjamin whose name was Tish, the son of
-
a b l the son of Zero, the son of
-
Kora Affair, and Benjamin, a mighty man of power. He
-
had the choice and handsome son whose name was Saw.
-
There was no more handsome person. Wow, Wow, there was
-
no more handsome person than he among the Tune of Israel.
-
What the amazing tight a description of a man that
-
the Bible say, There's no one. I think if if
-
you're if there was a people's magazine, he'll be at
-
the front page of the magazine.
-
Or right.
-
If we ever get to heaven, I would like to
-
see how so looks like in comparison to our modern
-
man that people will say handsome.
-
Right, he could maybe look a bit like Krein who
-
knows right.
-
From me showed it upwards. He was taller than any
-
of the people, taller than any of the people. Now
-
the donkeys of case, the sauce sauce father were lost,
-
all right, now, this is the assignment. Right now, that
-
was donkey, and said to his son, saw, please take
-
one of the servants with you and arise and go
-
look for the donkey. There was assignment right. Donkey was lost, dead,
-
sold the sun. Please look for my donkey. Not show
-
how many I've ever chased your pattern before. Outside your
-
house you open the door, your pet dog ran out
-
of the house. No matter what name you call, what
-
you chose, it doesn't recognize you at all. It just
-
kept on running and running and towards the road, which
-
is really busy.
-
All right.
-
It's something your heart go like no, and it's hard
-
to catch.
-
You understand that right now? Worse fall.
-
So he passed through the mouths of if Fame and
-
through the land of Shalissa, and he they did not
-
find them. Then they passed through the land of Shalim,
-
and they were not there. That he passed through the
-
land of the Benjamins, and they could not find them.
-
Just basically they were imagining right now, going to different
-
places looking for something that you can't find.
-
Verse five.
-
They came to the land of Zup and Saw said
-
to someone who was with him, come let us return.
-
I think Saul has reached a point whereby if the
-
Bible says that they were well to do, it's just
-
donkeys can be replaced. I'm not sure how many of
-
earth have a name for our pets. I think I
-
think we all do, but none of our pets are
-
in the donkey form right now. I was talking to,
-
you know, so very mules in Bintulu. I found out
-
that some of them loved to name their pets. One
-
of them while their pets are chicken which they raised
-
up from young with names.
-
Delate they slaughtered to eat all right.
-
So we were having, yeah, seriously very lunch and just said, yeah,
-
I give my my son, you know, like chickens and
-
chickens to to to take care off. They were. They
-
had this so that they can relate. Though they took
-
care of it. One day they came back and they
-
the sun asked, mom, where is my pet? Then the
-
mom said, well you ate last night, right, and the sun.
-
Were like no.
-
I also ford another story whereby uh, the granddaughter came
-
out to the house, was eating and she just.
-
Asked Grandma, Grandma, where's my rabbit? Where is my ra?
-
Grandma said, well, you just ate it now.
-
I always I'm not saying this to to to make
-
you like that, right, but I would just let you know.
-
Some people just see it can be replaced.
-
Saw got to this point whereby the donkeys can be replaced,
-
come or less return back to our father's house. And
-
you know it's's sometimes you can come to a place
-
whereby I've been doing this all by myself.
-
I've been doing this for the longest time.
-
It's almost like a never ending job, a job that
-
nobody sees ups and down. Only you and the servant
-
knows what you went through. Right, and you come to
-
the place here by come on less return back to
-
our dad's house because of my father could be worried.
-
My comes return list my father seas carrying for the
-
donkeys and become worried about us.
-
Legitimate is very true. You can come.
-
You can come to a place whereby we give up,
-
I'm doing the assignment that our Father in heaven us
-
us to do because you went to different lance and worse. Six,
-
then he the service, sayyim, now look now that in
-
this city a man of God, and he was honorable man.
-
He is an honorable man. All that he says you
-
surely come to pass. So let us go there. Perhaps
-
he can show us the way we should go.
-
Right.
-
I won't speak, first of all, the daily routine in discipleship,
-
the daily routine in discipleship, or the daily routine in
-
what we do. Right, it's a formal discipleship that God
-
allows to go to one. First, discipleship is the word disease.
-
Is that for us.
-
From one point of our life, God moves us on,
-
transform us, shape us to be more like Him, to
-
be more like God, to be more like Christ, to
-
exhibit really the Christ's love and Christ's nature and his
-
characteristics here on earth. In heaven, there is no discipleship anymore.
-
Discipleship can only happened here on earth. See, God doesn't
-
really doesn't review the full picture emiliated to us when
-
you caught us friends. God doesn't review the full picture
-
to us when you call us one. So when the
-
man sauls that say, I want to send you out
-
look for a donkey's I'm not sure how many of
-
us have.
-
A picture in mind? How far would you.
-
Go to look for a set of donkeys, Because isn't
-
it true? Sometimes maybe one day's enough, two days enough,
-
maximum three days Okay, after the third day you cannot find,
-
you return back and something. That's what we do with
-
our life as well. You have an assignment, you felt
-
God caught you to do something, then you started doing
-
it with enthusiasm. Nobody gets sent out with like why
-
me again? Very seldom now right, But we get sent
-
out with enthusiasm. We get sent up with excitement. But
-
in the course of the journey, friends, in the course
-
of the journey that you will find that you're in
-
three races. Sometimes you go to how far and how long?
-
Right?
-
So Saul's father asked us to search for the missing donkeys.
-
But finding the lost animals in the last stenze is
-
virtually impossible. It is hard, don't say, donkey fans. Sometime
-
to find the missing document in our office in the
-
power of stacks and stacks of a for paper.
-
Could be hard.
-
Sometimes if we play misplaced our car keys, my dad
-
one they called me up, Say, son, could you come
-
back to the house. I can't find my keys. I
-
searched everywhere. I cannot enter the house. I cannot find it.
-
You see, I searched for three hours. Really, my friends,
-
it's only between the car and the main entrance. Two
-
three hours you search, I couldn't find it. So I
-
drove back in about nine pm to my dad's house.
-
Say that, tell me what you remember. They told me
-
the story that told my dad Dad the one.
-
Let you know.
-
Could you stand up right now, just turn and look
-
behind you. The keys are at the window.
-
Huh, that's just a tree I was.
-
I cannot find it. It wasn't there the first place. Did
-
you put it there? Don't argue with that. I say, yeah,
-
that I put it there. Okay, by for all the right,
-
But it happens, friends, that finding lost and when the
-
verse is ritually impossible. But it's a task, friends, that
-
was given by saus that please go and find out
-
the father lost at the boundary. Okay, after the second
-
day you cannot find leave it. Then you come back
-
the father. They say that I want you to go
-
find a set of donkeys. Now I'm not sure that,
-
I say again, my wether saw has this feeling towards
-
the pet donkeys not or something like that. But it
-
looks like he didn't, but it was. It was tough yet, Friends,
-
it's not about the type of assignment. God is always
-
after the attitude, So it's never about the assignment. Friends,
-
when it times revealed it why you give me this
-
tosk to do?
-
God? Why you call me to do this right? Taking
-
out trash? Right? I wouldn't do it because his hands
-
are anointed. I don't know.
-
Why is it that we fail to recognize that God
-
ask us to do because of the type of assignment
-
find that he s again, finding donkeys is not the
-
most exciting things that we can do, right, taking down
-
God life is more exciting, right all trying a tyrant kingdom,
-
for example, it's by exciting but Lord donkeys for Lord,
-
it is not the number one thing that we look for.
-
But God doesn't. The word is put a box in
-
the type of assignment.
-
He's really after our attitudes, our respond He's really after
-
what gets revealed when we go on this assignment.
-
He's really after the soil of your heart.
-
So so I had to pass through the amount of
-
Ephram the Lend of Sila, the Lene of Shalim, the
-
Land of Benjamin, and the Lend of Zoo. Five places
-
you have to go to friends without GPS. There was
-
no attach on the donkey, right, there was virtually nothing.
-
So imagine if you go to the first two or
-
right the amount of Ephraim. You go there, you enjoy
-
the scenery, but you know scenery, after all, everything looks
-
the same, like, oh, do you like to go for holiday?
-
Say yeah, I do. Do you like to go to
-
the countryside?
-
I say yeah, okay, I say that, after what, every
-
country side look the same. I'm not saying that every
-
afterward in every country, every country looks more or less similar,
-
so that there's no more excitement there. Really, right now,
-
I couldn't imagine right now excitement fans or rather than
-
enthusiasm can come to a place whereby you get disillusion.
-
Why did that ask me to go out?
-
If he was a rich man, he sent to other
-
servants the need the son to be involved. After I
-
got better things to do in my life, and some
-
of us we do have more important things to do
-
in our own personal life as well. Why me, Lord,
-
can't someone else do the job can't someone else do
-
the assignment? Again, God is not after the assignment accomplish
-
of the assignment as much as really after our respond
-
towards assignment.
-
Because it's easy.
-
So that Dad said go ahead and find literally saw
-
no that he had to go to a vast land
-
five places just to look. So imagine right now saw
-
crabs sit now at every point after the mouth reframe,
-
it looked like Silvi say, let's go back after the
-
land of Chashidah. Let's go back forget about this. I
-
don't think the servant would say no. But what you
-
imagine right now, whereby how many knows we have said
-
in our lives that actually is a cause why sometimes
-
we miss out of destiny in God, the destiny that
-
he wants to go through. And God always uses the
-
natural really to disciple us. So no matter how tired
-
it is, or perhaps you're the only one who is
-
doing the lot's work, don't give up as a divide
-
and counter is just around the corner, no matter how
-
tired it is, because like say again, right, you could
-
have given up at every stage of your ministry life
-
right of the things you'd be doing. It could be
-
a small thing, but friends, it's not the assignment. I
-
say again, it's our attitude.
-
Right. You could have given up every stage, but.
-
Don't give up yet because your divine encounter is just
-
around the corner. So to continue working in discipleship requierest humility.
-
Come on, really, it requires humility. Turn your neighbor and
-
say humility right first seven, nine, five to six. So
-
when they keep the letter zoo right, here's verse five
-
said that saw city servant come, let's return, Let's go back. Okay,
-
I'm tired right now. It's not worthy to pursue to
-
what end. It's not worth it to pursue on suching
-
for these donkeys. We went to five area already. We
-
need to go to another five after It could be
-
like two months away, were away from the house. I'm tired.
-
This is not my comfort zone. I got a place
-
I could sleep in right now, to sleep under a tree.
-
I mean, there's so many reasons why we could abandon
-
the project, why we could abandon the call of God.
-
When I was being through that, I met a guy
-
who was starting churches in the interiors.
-
He was just telling me.
-
That there's a place that God called the church to plant,
-
to get to this place was not easy. And there
-
was a call there was they went out to the church.
-
Would there be anyone who wants to join me to
-
plan the church in this location. No one came, No
-
one answered the call. And he just looked to his
-
committee of what member and this is it? And he
-
just said this, if no one is going, I will
-
go in myself. To get to the place. Strands to
-
transport building materials is not that straightforward by speedboat, by
-
land and back on the speedboard. So three farm or
-
three stages just to get to this place. And most
-
time it thinks about a year to do a simple
-
church structure a building. But for this particular project he
-
would just share with me it took him three years
-
to accomplish the structure. Friends, when we say yes to God, friends,
-
we could just imagine, okay, read a human calculation. I
-
guess it's one year. I guess it's six months. But
-
what happened when things get stretched? What happened when things
-
get delayed or prolonged?
-
Right? And what how would it look like? In a response?
-
And this is worse six And the servants say, look,
-
now there's a there's in this city a man of
-
God which you can call on which you can ask
-
for help, which you could turn to. I want you
-
to imagine right now, if Saul who have said no
-
to a servant forget it right, It's only donkeys, all right.
-
After if I finally, if.
-
I go and buy credit medua, if I go buy
-
another self of donkeys, my father will know the difference.
-
If I go by another sell of donkeys, all right,
-
my dad would not know the difference. After all, they
-
look quite similar, I think. So it's not like a
-
special reed or something like that. Too many of miss
-
our divine moments because you keep saying no to what
-
God assigned.
-
Is to do.
-
Here's a servant saying, saw this. There's a man of God?
-
There saw this man of God?
-
Would you go?
-
And that's what God reminds us as well in our
-
journey as well. Would you consider this? And maybe and
-
sometimes we have valid reasons why we say no. I'm
-
tired and burnout, I'm disillusion but Kwi, you just ask
-
us to reconsiderself. This response is and we look deeper
-
because the assignment wasn't set up by men. But God
-
always uses men assignment for a spiritual divine connection. God
-
always uses men assignment. You can be sent there by men, right,
-
but God always uses those assignment for divine connection. And
-
could you imagine that if Saul said no to the servant,
-
he wouldn't encounter profit Samuel. And if he didn't counter
-
profit Samuel, his true destiny to become the first king
-
of Asia could have been.
-
Out the window.
-
All these are connected because I say, yes, maybe it's
-
just a bit more, maybe it needs to be Okay,
-
I'll take one more step. And if I really can't
-
find a return, and some of us here need to
-
hold on to death, just one more step, one more
-
step in the Lord, one more push in the Lord.
-
Point number two.
-
Discipleship is allowing God to go deeper into our life.
-
I always say this before discipleships go deeper into God. No,
-
it's allowing God to go deeper into our life.
-
Friends.
-
I think many times you say I want to go
-
deeper to God, which is true. But how many times
-
we need to tell God, God, please go deeper into
-
our life, deeper into the soil of our hearts, to
-
unread certain things that we need to I think many
-
times we go to pruning, putting on the exterior.
-
We treamed certain.
-
Things but how many know, no matter what how much
-
you tream, you still grow because their roots are still there.
-
The roots of different things are still there in our hearts.
-
Right first, sem then so I say this before, okay,
-
choice and handsome man, you you know it all right?
-
I think obviously, as you're fixated with SOB being the
-
most handsome of the land.
-
Must very small pool of guys love.
-
It must be a very small pool of guys to
-
be the most handsome.
-
Of all right, I think maybe runing about.
-
Right, No matter what you read about Saul, however, there
-
was no mention about his moral, spiritual or mentors nature.
-
There was no mention about saw future heart for God.
-
On the outside, it looked really good and all of
-
a sudden that's could be taken up because the person
-
speaks really well, perfect and this stuff like that. But
-
there's no mention about source, spiritual or moral stance. And
-
sometimes in our life we need to have that. Yes,
-
no matter what we have on the outside, for example,
-
polite in everything, which is great. But I pray that
-
in your life and my life as well, that people
-
also see Christ in us. Christ in us, the conviction
-
is also shining as well. Your stance in the lot
-
can be seen as well. Many times you focus on
-
the outside. Could you imagine soul in this whole description tallest,
-
most handsome, tallest, most handsome. Right, and you know if
-
you're empty inside, If you know that inside, no matter
-
how you feel on the outside, inside, you don't your
-
self worth.
-
It's not there.
-
If you know that inside that is empty, no matter
-
what people say on the outside, you felt emptiness on
-
the inside. That's why sometimes people with this description the
-
most handsome may not feel that the most handsome, may
-
not feel that the external has something to offer, may
-
not feel that they have something of worth. I'm gonna
-
show you from the Bible afterwards. Right, God didn't focus
-
on the external friends, by users the circumstances and situation
-
of the daily routine to begin to reveal the condition
-
the soil of our hearts. Well, all that God has
-
blessed you with the external? Right, praise God. Right, if
-
you're the most handsome one, duel you know, Praise God, hallelujah. Amen, yea,
-
it is a good time. I'm gonna say amen this.
-
They don't believe it, Okay, I understand. Yeah, they said
-
they've got tree. Okay, anyway, sorry side tracks like tracks, trck,
-
right like trick. But he focused, he uses the circumstances.
-
Come on, he uses circumstances. He doesn't focus on outside. Right.
-
He didn't ask you to trim your haird No, No,
-
He uses the circumstances, situation, your daily routine, daily routine
-
to begin to reveal the condition of the soil of
-
your hearts. He does so in everything that you do,
-
right from your own house, house chaw, he reveals the
-
condition the soil of your hearts. He does because many
-
times you fix on the outside of right, but very
-
little repair atsion to the soil of our own hearts.
-
Because as long as we as long as we don't
-
do bad, we think we're all right. Come on, as
-
long as we not killing people, we think we're okay.
-
It's not we don't do anything that's bad. That the
-
world thing is bad. But God has a different standard altogether,
-
a different way altogether. First see chapter ten, verse seventy
-
to nineteen. Then Samuel said to the people who gethered,
-
said sorry, first seventies. Then Samuel called the people together
-
to the Lord and Missba and say to the children
-
of Israel, trust, say the Lord God of Israel.
-
I brought Israel from.
-
Egypt and delivered you from the hand of Egyptian, and
-
from the hand of all the kingdoms, and from all
-
those who oppressed you, Gods reminding the children of Isuel.
-
That's what he have done. And he he he is
-
actually the Lord over Israel.
-
My verse nineteen is very said, but you have today
-
rejected your God, who himself saved you from all your
-
adversities and all your tribulations. Here, thank you Lord, by
-
one physical king, Thank you Lord, by one a human
-
leading us. I think God was really hurt by that statement.
-
That and you have said to him, no, said the
-
King or Earth. And therefore present yourself before the Lord
-
by your trials and by your clans. Therefore chapter twenty
-
that Sebuary had caused all the trouble is you to
-
come near the trial of Benjamin, where I Saw came
-
from was chosen. And when he had caused the trail
-
Benjamin to come near to their families, the family of
-
Metrid was chosen, and Saw, the son of Kish was chosen.
-
Here is unfailing. Here is here is.
-
An appointment, whereby Saw was declared to be king right.
-
But they sought for him, they looked for him. If
-
they tried to find him, he could not be found.
-
Could you imagine right now your graduates seremony and the
-
professor's calling out your name.
-
So and so, could you come and receive your award?
-
Cannot be found? The appointment right now? Maybe you've been
-
pointed to a new position, So and so would you
-
step up right now and traduce you.
-
To the whole team? Could not be found and verse
-
twenty two.
-
Therefore, the inquire of the Lord, could you imagine, right
-
not the first King of Isel, the great unreally, the
-
great appointment cannot find the King cannot find the individual.
-
The inquiry of the Lord. Has this man come here yet? Wow?
-
And something instegracious and maybe it is late there maybe
-
got trefect jam and the Lord say this, there he is.
-
Heiden among equipment, hidden among equipment, and dicipuship is really
-
allowing God to go deeper into our life.
-
Here is so? Right now?
-
The one of his greatest or chief, one of his
-
greatest experiences is to be the first king of Israel.
-
And the opportune was given to him to lead the nation,
-
the very first man to lead the nation of Israel. Right,
-
but he was hiding behind the equipment, hiding behind one transition,
-
put it as hiding behind baggages.
-
I want you to understand this.
-
Sometimes God uses the natural appointment to review.
-
The soil of our hearts.
-
If Solkware have taken this as as a teaching moment,
-
if So have paid attention and asked himself, why am
-
I hiding behind the equipment? After he was the most
-
handsome one taller than any other thing one transition, you
-
will put it as god Lee the Kings. Would you
-
put as Godley on the external Godlee? If so could
-
pay attention and asked, if so, why am I hiding?
-
After all?
-
It's not It's different when you get caught for something
-
you have done wrong.
-
Right. If you ever get caught.
-
In the assembly school assembly because you have done wrong,
-
pop for and the hit master will have kien you publicly.
-
You be very slow to respond. The hit master will
-
call you your name at least a couple of times. Right
-
then only you come out. I've not seen any of
-
my classmates them when the hit master called him out right,
-
they jump up and say, thank you so much it
-
master for calling my name. I'm ready to be king
-
by you in public. I don't think anybody will respond
-
that way. But here saw it's just an appointment. At declaration,
-
there will be king. But he hid behind the equipment.
-
When God reveals the condition of the solve of our hearts,
-
he's not to shame us.
-
Come on, It's not to put you to shame.
-
And maybe sometimes that's our that's what we perceive made
-
to understand when we get corrected, or that we are bad,
-
not good enough.
-
But God has never intended that way. Friends, when he
-
reveals he.
-
Doesn't, he's not in the he's not on the journey
-
to put you to shame. See you're lacking, see you're
-
not good enough, right, or to put us down.
-
But it's also say God, I need you.
-
That's why the scriptures say in my weakness, your strength
-
is make perfect. Come on, in my weakness, your strength
-
is made perfect. That's why when God revealed the condition
-
the solve our hearts, really to remind us, Thank God,
-
I need you for this assignment. I need you for
-
this assignment. I need you for this calling. But so
-
do not call upon God. He did not call upon God.
-
He didn't say, God, why am I hiding her? Sometimes
-
you don't have a moment whereby we could reflect why
-
am I like that? Why am I like that? Why
-
why am I responding in this way? How did I
-
get here?
-
Ye?
-
Have we one of those moment where by you asked
-
yourself like, how did I get to this place?
-
It's very good to reflect some of men.
-
You have those time moments in your life whereby you
-
can just reflect, like how do I get here?
-
In the first place?
-
When I was in Osaka with my wife and you know,
-
and we had we did about twenty six thousand steps
-
in the day and by and being fifty DC right,
-
bodies is a bit different.
-
Spirit is still strong.
-
Right after My mind is only walking anyway, right, it's
-
only going for a walk, right, anybody can walk. But
-
the clock in that that step calm later I saw
-
then after that, I was asking you why am I
-
feeling body aches? I never felt before? My wife look
-
at me. My wife is two years younger than me,
-
and she just said, what body aches? Let's go for
-
another twenty thousand steps right the kind And I was
-
in this well, this molittle Japanese bathtub that was meant for.
-
Slightly shotted people. So I squeezed myself in there.
-
I was asking fast Benji, like, what do I do
-
with my legs when I go into the bathtub because
-
I have to literally score it said that I can
-
only last about twenty seconds before the cramp and stuff
-
like that. But after I got used to it, I
-
was just in there, just thinking, friends, thinking, how did
-
I get to this place whereby twenty four thousand step
-
has caused my body to experience ache more needing to
-
Let's take a break, Let's let's sit down with a
-
part more right, let's time out. What happened to the
-
time whereby let's go for it. Let's walk until you
-
know can until two in the morning, not a problem?
-
How did I get to this place where but I
-
can't even read more than ten pages without having to
-
stop and look at my phone? How did I get
-
to this place whereby I am like that and sometimes
-
you don't take time to think about it. This is
-
what's so happened. Why am I hiding behind the baggages?
-
Why am I hiding where I had the equipment? Why
-
when God say I want to promote you to let
-
go to step up, why are we having this first
-
response that we are very hesitant to step up. We
-
keep saying oh, nod for me, not for me. This
-
this kind of thing is for Selena, right, this need
-
Selena can do it to me.
-
Right.
-
It's easy because you know, yes, Selena will take all
-
the bulletler with every new position, that new bullets for you,
-
aiming towards you. I'm not ministerry, Okay, it's bullets of love,
-
right Selena?
-
Right?
-
And yeah, And I need to understand when God reviews
-
the condition of sort of the heart, it's not for
-
us to say we work out so this is you know,
-
if I was born a better place and stuff that
-
It's not for us to complain about the soy because
-
every sword in God's hand is good. It's for us
-
to work the soy first and read certain things out.
-
And many times why we miss out destiny because we
-
keep saying love, but I've read the height behind the equipment.
-
I rather just focused on the work. But God is
-
focusing on our hearts. That's why I say discipleship is
-
really about allowing God to go deeper in our hearts
-
so he experience the spirit of God falling upon him.
-
You can read it from First imagechapter ten, verse ten
-
and eleven, verse six, saw friends twice came upon so
-
First of all, he prophesied friends so stronglier that people
-
thought he was one of the prophets. The spirit of
-
God came upon him, I think eleven verse six. He led,
-
He called the people, He led them as a nation.
-
The spirit of God came upon.
-
Soul so greatly.
-
But friends, with all the shaking, with all the experiences,
-
it did not change sauce heart. And sometimes we are
-
looking for the external experience so much, falling under the power,
-
getting goose bumbs, being.
-
Paid for by a leader.
-
All good friends, But greater is is that we are
-
allow God to go deeper. God can deliver you from
-
an evil spirit, yes he can, but it's still a
-
choice where they want to follow God and say, God,
-
I want to walk away from this. God can provide
-
for you, Yes, he can provide for you. But God's
-
provision friends will run out in that sense of that
-
whe day you finish them.
-
What's additude after that?
-
And many times in our life, friends, God says it's
-
not outwork alone. But I want to work at your
-
heart so that you can remain as king. So don't
-
chase after the external experience. Friends, don't Next time a profer,
-
don't come to our church. Don't don't don't, don't, don't
-
lie up in front of this. I want to work
-
from the Lord and chase after the external. If it comes,
-
it comes, it doesn't come, doesn't come. It's okay one,
-
because God's what is his direction.
-
Right.
-
If you someone pray for you, and people around you
-
are slain by the by the Holy Spirit, and you
-
happen people before you do experience anything, that's mean that
-
you didn't experience, right, So don't chase after the external experience.
-
But he said, focus on what God wants to do
-
in the hearts. That's equally more important. Focus on what
-
God wants to do in our hearts, in your hearts.
-
If you were so hiding my hand the equipment the
-
first he asked, why am I hiding? Samuel did not
-
ask and parate me, to shame me, to put me down.
-
See the tallest man here, the more censive one. He
-
didn't see that I wanted. In fact, you look at Samuel,
-
just say that this is the king that you asked for.
-
That's it. He does say he did not welcome Samuel,
-
like how we welcome the speaker.
-
In our church, Selena, right now have been execust for
-
the longest time, right, amazing lady, multi talented. When she
-
speaks you're afraid one, well, you don't do what she asked,
-
I should come after you.
-
She's not as a gangster. I'm fund we put your
-
heads together. Welcomes Selena like that.
-
Sorry, ah, I don't know what the up the right
-
our kidding?
-
That's not there. I would say, like why who wrote
-
all this?
-
Well things anyway, Samo did not just say this is
-
the king that you wanted, and.
-
Therefore let's pray for the king. But so was so afraid.
-
Finally is this let me see yah the tree.
-
We we cannot go deeper without sacrifice. We cannot go
-
deeper without making a sacrifice. We cannot go deeper in
-
the lot. I think many times in our life we say, yes, God,
-
I want to go deeper. Let's God go deeper. But
-
there has there must be an element of sacrifice, a
-
way for first seven, Chapter thirteen, five to seven. Right now,
-
the Phyllices gathered together to fight Israel. Thirty thousand chariots
-
and six thousand horsemen. The people as the sand which
-
is on the seashore in multitude. Basically, there are a
-
lot of philises there, and they came and came in
-
Mishmash at the east of beth Evan.
-
Verse six.
-
The men of isel Saw that were in danger for
-
the people were distressed. Then the people hit in caves,
-
in tickets, in rocks, holes, and in pits. There's a
-
situation right now. Your enemy is numbers are more than yours.
-
And the very people you're leading, the very army you're leading,
-
the threats is. It's not leading just a bunch of farmers.
-
This is a very army you're leading. Suppose God for war.
-
We can get frightened. And the Bible here says they
-
hit in caves, tickets, in rocks.
-
In holes, in pits.
-
And we're seven and some of the Hebras across the Jordan,
-
and some of the heroes across the Jordan and to
-
the land of Gad and Guilliad I saw was still
-
in Gigel Gilgel and all.
-
The people follow him were trembling.
-
Imagine right now you're a king leading a bunch of
-
people who were very afraid because of the number were
-
gains you. And sometimes that's what happened to us. Is
-
in it the simon that we asked to do almost
-
impossible was it that he waited seven days according to
-
the time set by Samuel friends. Saul knew that when Samuel,
-
if severne were to arrive within the seven days, meant
-
afraid to God that he will win the war. Saul
-
knew that if severe would have come within the seven
-
days and made the offering right, he'll win the war.
-
But the proper Samuel did not come to Gilgall, and
-
the people were scattered from him, which busy after the
-
seven day the proper Samuel do not come on time.
-
So he is the only one right now who's holding
-
this conviction that is seven with the mad the offering,
-
we will win this war. The people that he's leading
-
right now, we're not the same conviction. And that's why
-
they were afraid. The ies were towards the number of
-
the army of the Phylisines right now they were outnumbering them.
-
And he's the only one right now saw with the conviction.
-
And this was nice, sauls it bringing burn offering piece
-
offering to me and he made the burn off ring.
-
Now it happened as soon as finished presenting the burn offering,
-
Samuel came and so went out to meet him that
-
he might greet him.
-
And this is what Samuel said, What have you done so?
-
In Saul spine, I've done nothing wrong.
-
In Saul spine that all that I'm doing right now
-
is like you if you meet a piece of afraid.
-
I was to make a piece of off fring.
-
Sorry, so many arefering, but no power. You can make
-
a sacrifice of offering but no power. The sacrifice that
-
Saul could have done is in the waiting.
-
Do you know?
-
Sometimes it is a sacrifice to wait. But many primes
-
you don't see that as a sacrifice. We think sacrifice
-
is only about maybe perhaps giving up more of time, money,
-
of the money.
-
Possessions, but holding on to a conviction. It is a sacrifice.
-
You're saying no to others based on your conviction to
-
the Lord. You're holding onto it, dealing with your own
-
emotion when everyone have left you, when you're the only one,
-
would you still stand?
-
There is a sacrifice here? You're the only one.
-
The Bible says that people around saw was trembling someone
-
into hiding. If you're the only one, would you still stand?
-
You still hold onto his promise to say that God
-
is so real in my life When we don't deal
-
with what God has revealed the very same thing. The
-
issue that's been revealed reflected in the way we handle
-
our relationship with the Lord when we don't deal So
-
it was revealed that Saw was hiding behind the equipment, right,
-
I said a little. That was the thing whereby if
-
Saul were to dealt with that here, he won't experience
-
this because the call to be king was not made
-
by Samuel, was made by God. So you're calling in
-
your life, your journey friends, this light that you have.
-
It's not because our parents give us life.
-
God give us life, and we want to deal with
-
the issues that God has revealed to us. We wouldn't
-
be in the position of the place where by doing
-
something we shu, we are not caught to do doing
-
something we're not called to do. If we were to
-
deal with the issue that God has revealed to you,
-
you will not be in a place of position whereby
-
like Saw, offering up and offering which we're not supposed
-
to do in the first place. And because of the
-
impatient that we have sometimes our own life, we shortcut
-
the process of discipleship.
-
Enough, Lord, we gave up the journey.
-
We give up that that that that that the process
-
where God wants to develop us moral shapers. And that's
-
why sometimes why we couldn't see our destinies because of
-
our own respond to the soil that's been revealed in
-
our hearts, and finally they threads Mental Chapter sixty, verse
-
twenty four. Then Jesus said to his disciples, if anyone
-
decides to come after me, leting first, deny himself. There's
-
a part of us whereby we want to be in control,
-
in charge, you want to dictate. There's a part of
-
us like that. But when you encounter God, when you
-
encounter God, when you encounter God in your life, in
-
your heart, in your journey, there's one part of us
-
we have to say God, I want to come after you.
-
Then this public scripture, well you say that le him
-
first in himself, deny yourself.
-
It is a sacrist unto the Lord.
-
Say God, not my will, but your will be done.
-
Not my will, but your will be done.
