  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. We're going to be sharing again. I'm going to continue

  4. from the Book of Corinthians, and this time, if you

  5. want a title, it's Paul Disciples of Corinthian Church, Part three.

  6. Let's look to the word now and we're reading from

  7. First Corinthians, Chapter two, reading from verse one. And I, brethren,

  8. when I came to you, did not come with excellence

  9. of speech, all of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony

  10. of God. For I determine not to know anything among

  11. you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. You know, when

  12. we read scripture, we always have to pay attention to

  13. the little words because they teach us a lot about

  14. what we need to do. So the Bible says that

  15. Paul came in order for Paul to come, it's because

  16. he went.

  17. Get it.

  18. See, if Paul didn't go, he couldn't have come. So

  19. Paul actually went to the Corinthian Church because he got

  20. up and he moved.

  21. And the lesson for.

  22. Us is if we expect things in our lives to happen,

  23. we got a move man. We gotta get up and

  24. go because sitting in the chair don't make it work.

  25. Sitting in the chair just believing the world is.

  26. Going to spin around us and all things are going

  27. to happen isn't going to cut it.

  28. You have and I have a part to play.

  29. Of course, before I go any further, I just want

  30. to before I forget, send you greetings from past the

  31. Kenneth and pasta sendra.

  32. They love you very mud. You know.

  33. The Ampan is a love church. He's very very loved.

  34. It's one of my favorite spots because I'm here almost

  35. every month, so twelve times a year, I think I

  36. get to come to Ampan praise the Lord. So anyway, see,

  37. because you know, I develop a relationship with you because

  38. I go. I came to Ampan. I didn't sit where

  39. I was. I had to go. And do you know

  40. that every time I go to a church, the Lord

  41. Minister's to me. Look before the Lord minister you in word,

  42. he's speaking to me. I am getting scripture. And you

  43. know the thing is this, the Lord reveals to me

  44. things about my life and how he has helped me

  45. and how he has.

  46. Been there for me.

  47. And I get really excited. I get how how many

  48. people want to be excited that God is doing something

  49. in your life today. This one is a little bit tight,

  50. so I won't share exactly all the details, but I'll yes.

  51. On my birth on my.

  52. Birthday today's not my birthday, but on my birthday about

  53. seven years ago, somebody threatened me. All right, this is

  54. my place of work, and you know I had something

  55. to do, and the person said, I know where you live.

  56. So my question to that person was, are you threatening me?

  57. Are you threatening me? And when I reported it to

  58. the management, they say, God, make a police report.

  59. So what did I do?

  60. I spent my birthday in a police station making a

  61. police report about someone who threatened me. Will be anyone

  62. who threatens a child of God? Hey, do you think

  63. I need to do anything about it? Because when somebody

  64. threatens the child of God, it doesn't come against me,

  65. comes against my father, who's looking after me.

  66. That person is no more. That person is no more.

  67. And I don't know.

  68. Why the Lord explained it to me, but he just

  69. wanted me to know that, Look, when you get up

  70. and go and you're doing the right things, I'm looking

  71. after you. I'm protecting you.

  72. I got your back.

  73. I never saw it that way and then the Lord

  74. and I'm not even thinking of that. Okay, It's just

  75. something had dropped in my heart. And if that was

  76. the only time something like this has happened, I would say, Okay,

  77. that's you know, you could chalk it up to Some

  78. people would say luck. I do not believe in luck.

  79. This has not happened once. It's happened several times.

  80. Paul came.

  81. Because he went, Guys, you want to see things happen

  82. in your life. Don't get comfortable where you're seated. Lord,

  83. what do you want me to do?

  84. If my home means.

  85. Did not go, I would not have signed up.

  86. Well, praise the Lord.

  87. You got up and went, And because you got up

  88. and went, you got to see the prayer of someone.

  89. Lord let it rain, and it did. It poured buckets. Wow,

  90. How wonderful is that?

  91. Would you have seen that if we didn't go, No,

  92. you'll just be listening to us and he won't really

  93. make anything because I mean, yeah, yeah, we praised the Lord.

  94. But we were not there to live it.

  95. You all were there to live it, guys, And you

  96. know what, we have to go so we don't remain stagnant.

  97. This is something true in our lives. That if we

  98. want to see God work in our life. It's not

  99. good enough to just know things. It's not good enough

  100. to just learn what God has to say for yourself.

  101. You think God blesses you and I so that we

  102. remain blessed. God blesses us so we can be a blessing.

  103. So how can we be a blessing? Don't keep quiet, man,

  104. God does something for you. Shouting on the rooftop. Go

  105. out there and say, God is able to do this

  106. for me. Hey, I never thought I could lose weight. Okay,

  107. because seventy pounds ago I was fit as a fiddle.

  108. That was seventy pounds ago. Now at least I can

  109. say it was fifty pounds ago. God is doing something,

  110. you know why? Because I just don't sit in the chair.

  111. I get up and go.

  112. I praise the Lord.

  113. I get an opportunity to go from plant to plant

  114. sharing the word, because every time I go, the Lord speaks.

  115. Today I was praying for Umpun. You know what time

  116. I was praying for Ampun?

  117. What five o'clock? No, not at five today.

  118. I got up at three and I don't like to

  119. waste time. So if I get up at three, most

  120. of us, what will we do? Toss and turn in bed,

  121. try and get some sleep, because tomorrow I got service.

  122. When I got up at three, I was fully awake.

  123. I was really alert. So I said, Lord, now's the

  124. time to go and pray. So I got up, changed

  125. my clothes and went for my morning walk. Three point

  126. thirty in the morning. I walked for two hours praying

  127. for you. And you know that it's a special time

  128. because you know when I'm going over the world. You see,

  129. I've already prepared the word. I prepared the message. But

  130. as I pray for you, the Lord drops nuggets. He

  131. just tells me things about the word. And you know

  132. what it bears. Witnessed with me.

  133. This is what the.

  134. Word means, and it's a life.

  135. It's not stagnant.

  136. And the Mabel said, you're crazier. People will get afraid

  137. seeing this guy walk in the morning and me being

  138. how I am.

  139. I don't care.

  140. It's what I got to do. A man's going to

  141. do what a man's going to do. And you know what,

  142. if I do not have God helping me share the word,

  143. I might as well not come. Because when I said,

  144. nobody comes to hear what I've got to say. It's

  145. true because I'm not God.

  146. I did not die in.

  147. The cross for you, but someone did, and his name

  148. is Jesus. So, guys, you want to see things happen

  149. in your life, get up and move. Don't remain stagnant.

  150. Now Paul came.

  151. Okay. The other thing is, do you know why Paul went?

  152. Because Jesus commanded him to go. There's a song it's

  153. about forty years old. Jesus commands us to go. It

  154. should be the exception if we stay. That was written

  155. by Keith Green. Actually it was a song that was

  156. done posthumously because he died in eighty two, but this

  157. was one of his library. So I've got the album.

  158. It's an amazing song. It's an amazing album because what

  159. was what is he saying? Jesus wants us to go

  160. and share? Hey, guys, thank you. Are you coming from

  161. the continent of Africa? You are or praise the Lord?

  162. You know that you are sent from Africa. You know

  163. many people go to Africa to share the word. But

  164. do you know that God expects you when you go

  165. somewhere else to bring the Word with you. Because Jesus

  166. didn't command us to preach the word just where we are,

  167. He says, go, get out, move because when you're comfortable, well,

  168. you'll be relying on somebody else's faith.

  169. Did you know that?

  170. Do you know why we are commanded to go because

  171. you get only you and Him to rely on. If

  172. you are in the comfort of your church, you'll be

  173. relying on the anointing of your pastor. If you're comfortable

  174. in your church, your leaders. Oh yeah, they can pray.

  175. But when you have to go out on your own,

  176. guess what is just you and God, God's wisdom, right,

  177. wonderful Praise the Lord. Now, Paul says, I did not

  178. come with excellent speech. Excellent speech, this is something you know.

  179. Excellent speech, I got to be honest with you comes

  180. easy with me because my parents said when I came

  181. out of my mother's womb, I was talking.

  182. So I have been talking all my life.

  183. So you don't talk all your life and don't get

  184. comfortable with speech.

  185. Right, you do.

  186. But you know what God is saying here. It's not

  187. how nice I sound, It's not how well my words

  188. are put together. Paul was saying, I'm not coming to

  189. you to share it.

  190. You let you know.

  191. Oh, I can talk so well because I can tell you,

  192. you can say so many nice things. But if the

  193. Holy Spirit is not backing it up, it's rubbish, clary.

  194. That's that's that's.

  195. So is my motive to impress you. It's my motive

  196. to impress you. Do I walk at three in the

  197. morning to impress anyone? No, because you see, nobody's a

  198. weak so nobody sees me. But maybe if I walk

  199. around six to ten o'clock in the morning, I might

  200. impress a lot of people because so many people are

  201. awake they can see me. So it's not about impressing people.

  202. It's certainly not to show superiority. I mean, come on,

  203. did Paul think he was superior to everybody else? I mean,

  204. in reality he was. Okay, in reality, the power of

  205. God was strong with him, the force strong with Paul,

  206. the Holy Spirit.

  207. Okay, let's not go off tension.

  208. But he was strong in the power of God. Do

  209. you know that he could have come with that power

  210. to Corinth? But he said, no, I'm not coming to

  211. you with excellent speech. I'm not coming to show this

  212. excellent speech means that it's the motive is to impress.

  213. The motive is to show how superior he was. That's

  214. not why Paul came to Corinth. The reason Paul came

  215. to Corinth will be shared in la. He did not

  216. come in wisdom. You know what this world, this word

  217. wisdom means. It means philosophy. You know, people in this

  218. world like to listen to philosophy. Oh, if the grass

  219. is green, your life grows and blooms into a mighty

  220. flower where the smell and fragrance comes. It's a philosophy.

  221. New age, you know what it's New age is the

  222. modern way of doing things. New age philosophy speaks a

  223. lot about self, speaks a lot about self growth, speaks

  224. a lot about I can do all things through me

  225. because I am strong. Remember the anthem of the seventies,

  226. I am a woman, I am strong. Yeah, who is that?

  227. I can remember who's the singer Helen Ready? I think,

  228. h yeah, Helen Ready. You all don't know who she is.

  229. It's okay, it's okay. Those of us in the sixties

  230. may remember philosophy. Paul was saying, I didn't come to

  231. philosophize with you. I did not come to show you

  232. what a great speaker and philosophy he was not. He

  233. was not interested in intelligence. Hey guys, we are all

  234. looking to intelligence, and because we don't have our own now,

  235. we want to make artificial. Most of us thing that

  236. we're not intelligent enough, so we have to create artificial intelligence.

  237. Did you know that God created us to have a

  238. mind that no computer will be able to match if

  239. it was glorified. If Adam did not sin, that's the

  240. kind of mind of growth that he could have because

  241. he was created in God's image, as all of us were.

  242. You know of those special kids, some of them they

  243. have got other.

  244. Gifts.

  245. They may be autistic, or they may be, but certain

  246. parts of their brain are firing on all cylinders and

  247. they are able to do such amazing things. And you

  248. know what, they're not even occupying or using one or

  249. two percent of their brain power. Can you imagine what

  250. we would be like? Paul was not interested in intelligence.

  251. He could talk a mile a minute, but it was

  252. not important to him. But what was he interested in?

  253. He was interested in sharing what the testimony of God.

  254. He was interested in giving evidence that God is real.

  255. The world today has forgotten who God is, and so

  256. they pretend or they believe he doesn't exist. That's okay,

  257. it's okay if you don't believe God exists. But I'll

  258. tell you this. There's a person here, and I'm not

  259. going to mention names. There's a person who's part of

  260. his name is Rising, and he goes around saying, if

  261. you show me one scripture where Jesus says he is

  262. the son of God, I'll belief. If I were ever

  263. to meet this guy, my statement to him would be,

  264. I'm not interested for you to believe.

  265. Huh, what a thing to say, I said. I would say, hey,

  266. don't believe. It's okay.

  267. I'm not interested to prove to you anything that you

  268. should believe, because my Bible tells me that one day

  269. every knee shall bar and every tongue confess that Jesus

  270. Christ is Lord. So believe or don't believe is immaterial

  271. to me. I don't need to prove anything to you.

  272. You see, we get caught up sometimes with trying to

  273. get involved in these useless arguments. Don't your faith is

  274. your faith if you believe. I know whom I have believed,

  275. and am persuaded that he is able to keep that

  276. which I've committed to him until that day. That's what

  277. Paul says, I know. If you ask me, Terrence, do

  278. you know that you're safe?

  279. Yes? How do I know?

  280. Well, I explained my testimony to you when I went

  281. to that church, and I was determined not to believe.

  282. I was determined to prove my sister wrong. But when

  283. I went to that church and they worshiped for two hours,

  284. and that column of gold came down on me, and

  285. I looked through and I'm seeing all of you but

  286. in a gold hue, and a voice actually came and

  287. spoke to me and said, Terence, you're not a Christian

  288. except me. Now, in that moment, I gave my life

  289. to Christ.

  290. Nobody knew.

  291. There wasn't an altar call given because Jesus himself gave

  292. me an altar care. And just so you think, is

  293. this a unique only to me? Last week I met

  294. a man and this man told me, you know what,

  295. when I was young, I went to church. You know,

  296. I capt there's so many people were preaching me. And

  297. then I went to America and the people I stayed

  298. they were lovely people. You were Christians. They were telling

  299. me about Christ. So you accept a Christ?

  300. Then?

  301. No, So all these years he had heard about Jesus

  302. he did not accept Christ. Then he said, one day

  303. he had gone back to I think he was in

  304. Hong Kong. Yeah, he was in Hong Kong one day

  305. and of all the things, he was just going to

  306. catch a train. And as he was walking to catch

  307. a train, he heard a voice. And the voice said,

  308. so and so you're not a Christian. You need to

  309. accept me now. And he said, at that moment, I

  310. gave my life to Christ while I was walking to

  311. catch my train. So I said, praise the Lord. I said,

  312. you know what, You and I you got something in common.

  313. That's how the Lord spoke to me. Is God real?

  314. Yes?

  315. What was Paul trying to do? He's trying to share

  316. evidence of what of a divine God who's able to

  317. do anything. If your thinking you're out of the reach

  318. of God, No, he is so close to you. You

  319. got a problem, Go and tell it to your friends.

  320. Can they solve it? Maybe tell it to God and

  321. see him do something about it. Of a divine God.

  322. I love this, Paul scripture says, was determined. Let me

  323. just go back to that scripture right one Corinthians, chapter two.

  324. If you got it.

  325. For I determined not to know. I determined not to know?

  326. Do you know those words determined means that Paul made

  327. a choice. How many of us make choices that cannot bend?

  328. Paul made an active decision, he made us him he

  329. made uh did? He made a fantastic a focused attention

  330. towards getting something done. It speaks of someone who couldn't

  331. wait to get.

  332. The right thing done. I'm determined.

  333. Nothing's going to stop me, nothing's going to prevent me

  334. from seeing something happened. Paul was determined. How we determine?

  335. You know, many of us, well, some of us will

  336. not see things happen in our lives because we have

  337. to check whether we determined to see it take place.

  338. Or the Bible says, if you are something of the Lord,

  339. and you believe in your heart that he's done it

  340. for you, and do not doubt he will do it.

  341. But how many of us are so determined that he

  342. will do it for us? That we hold fast to

  343. that which we have prayed, whether we see it or

  344. whether we don't. If we give up five seconds after

  345. we pray, then we double minded don't expect to see anything.

  346. Or there are some people who've been praying for years

  347. and years and years and see nothing happen. But maybe

  348. one year before they pass away, the miracle takes place.

  349. It doesn't matter how many years it took. You know

  350. what matters to God.

  351. They were determined. They didn't waiver. Do you know that sometimes.

  352. We are delayed in receiving that blessing or that move

  353. or that answer because you know what God is doing.

  354. He's boasting about us. Do you know that he's telling

  355. the enemies, telling the devil, look at my child. He's

  356. been praying for that thing for five years. Has he waivered? No,

  357. he still believes in me. Hey, guys, don't for a

  358. minute think God is not proud of you. He's proud

  359. of you, even when it doesn't seem that he is answering.

  360. Think of this.

  361. When he didn't answer Job straight away, what was he doing?

  362. He was boasting about Job? Are you going to continue to.

  363. Let God boast about you? About me? Was the same.

  364. As Paul making a decree. He decreed to himself, I'm determined,

  365. determined to do what? Not to know anything? You know, stranger,

  366. Paul was determined not to know anything. How many of

  367. us are determined not to know anything? I know a

  368. few people who don't like studying. They are determined not

  369. to know anything. Hey, guys, this is what Paul means,

  370. determined not to know anything. Paul was determined not to

  371. know anything that would take him away from his determined focus.

  372. If you know a focuser, I remember when I was

  373. doing my exams. All through the time where I was studying,

  374. I would get all my friends together and I would

  375. teach them.

  376. I would teach them.

  377. I'd spend time with them all my saturdays. We spend Hey, group,

  378. my friends. You don't understand, Come, I'll help you, and

  379. I would teach them. I would teach them. But you know,

  380. on the day of the exam, I stayed far away

  381. from all of them. I did not go near them.

  382. On the day of my exam. I sat quietly alone

  383. with the Lord, praying and believing. And I don't want

  384. to listen to anything that they say. You know why,

  385. because I was determined to know nothing other than that

  386. which I had prepared for.

  387. Can you imagine you're over there, somebody. I didn't learn

  388. this love. You know what is all this about?

  389. You know?

  390. And and that panic will come to you.

  391. You know. I also didn't money, and because of that,

  392. your whole exam is gone. No, that whole thing, maybe

  393. just one small part of the exam. You want to

  394. let it mess up everything? No, leave it aside, stay

  395. by yourself, go in for the exam.

  396. Hall.

  397. I only talk to them after the exam is over.

  398. You I didn't do this, or I did this and

  399. I might. It's okay, You'll be all right. Nothing compares,

  400. Nothing compares to what Paul was was going to say,

  401. because he recognized nothing other than other than Jesus Christ

  402. and him crucified. Paul was coming to Corinth and he

  403. was discipling them, and he's saying, you know what, I'm

  404. not interested to know anything except Jesus Christ.

  405. Wow.

  406. I'm not saying you go to work and you tell

  407. your boss boss, I don't want to know how to

  408. do your work because.

  409. I only need to know Jesus. I'm not saying that.

  410. You must know the purpose for which he went. He

  411. went with the purpose of seeing them know the Lord.

  412. You don't go to lake Toba to share with them

  413. about your job. Why now, what did you do?

  414. You went in late Toba to share with them by

  415. whom Jesus. You get it at the time.

  416. Your task is to share the word of the Lord,

  417. determined to know nothing else other than Jesus Christ. And

  418. you know what the scripture says, Why was Paul determined

  419. to know know Jesus Christ and him crucified?

  420. You know I asked the Lord this question.

  421. Why on earth was Paul so focused on the time

  422. of your greatest weakness and him crucified? Why not just

  423. talk about a you know, Jesus. It's gonna be okay,

  424. You're gonna be saved, You're gonna be with the Lord.

  425. He's gonna bless you, you can heal you. He loves you,

  426. right or not? You talk about Jesus. Why not? You

  427. just talk about the good things? So why do you

  428. want to say and him crucified? I want you to

  429. know this. Do you know it's a package deal. You

  430. know it's a package deal. You can never talk about

  431. Jesus without talking about him crucified. It's a package deal.

  432. If you want someone to know Jesus, you want someone

  433. to be blessed, you can never talk about Jesus without

  434. talking about him at his greatest weakness.

  435. Why is that.

  436. You cannot know one without the other. In order to

  437. be blessed, you need to know the tough stuff in

  438. order to enjoy the good stuff, you need to know

  439. about the bad stuff. Is everything all hunky dory when

  440. you become a Christian.

  441. Let me tell you.

  442. When I shared Jesus with someone, I got punched in

  443. the face. That's the tough stuff. I mean, nowadays that

  444. doesn't happen, right, But in the seventies that's how people

  445. talked less, they acted more. Okay, your Jesus is so great.

  446. Cross this line. I crossed the life boom. I got

  447. punched in the face. Tough stuff. But you know what

  448. you want to know the good stuff. I wasn't hurt

  449. at all, no pain, no bruise, no nothing.

  450. Why is that?

  451. Because Jesus is real. Jesus is real. I always joke

  452. with people. You know. Jesus said, when somebody slaps you

  453. on the left, one cheek turned the other side. So

  454. I tell people I only got two cheeks. After that,

  455. it's left to interpretation. But anyway, you know, you cannot

  456. know one without the other. You cannot know the good

  457. stuff without knowing the bad stuff. But I want you

  458. to know something. Whatever the bad stuff is, the good

  459. stuff comes. And that's why Paul said, I have to

  460. preach Jesus and him crucified, because without Jesus being crucified,

  461. we'd all be dead in us since But you see,

  462. it didn't just end there Jesus. You cannot talk about

  463. Jesus crucified without talking about him being.

  464. Resurrected.

  465. Because Jesus was crucified and he died and was buried.

  466. Oh, just like us. We have our rough days.

  467. Man, we feel like we've been buried. There's no hope

  468. for us, right, it's so tough. But I want you

  469. to know Jesus rose from the dead, and so will

  470. you and I from a top situation, from a bad situation,

  471. we will rise again. So whatever your trouble is, God

  472. is there to help you. We cannot know one without

  473. the other. Paul's focus was on Jesus, and maybe that's

  474. why he saw a lot of miracles to take place,

  475. because his focus was unwavering on Jesus. Why is that

  476. Jesus took our cross?

  477. Do you know.

  478. We were supposed to be on the cross. We were

  479. supposed because none of us are good, man, I mean,

  480. look at yourself. Don't look at your neighbor, look at yourself.

  481. None of us are good. We think we're good but

  482. really are we It's about you know, we look at actions,

  483. which is okay, but you know what God looks at motives.

  484. Motive is tougher. He is the toughest standard. Motive is

  485. the toughest standard because you can even be doing good,

  486. but if your motive is wrong, you're still convicted. And

  487. that's the tough stuff. He took a cross, He took

  488. our punishment. When Paul was saying, guys, I want you

  489. to know Jesus why he was whip man. He was

  490. bruised for what our iniquities. What a wicked people we

  491. are because we cause such damage to our Lord and Savior.

  492. Did you know that.

  493. We cause such damage to his body? We should have

  494. been the ones getting the life wacked out of us.

  495. This was what the Lord was speaking to me as

  496. walking about in the morning. Focus on Jesus man. The

  497. moment you start focusing on Jesus, you just think about

  498. him and all that he's done for you, your life

  499. begins to change. You begin to know how much he's

  500. done for you. What an immen's love? Why would Jesus

  501. love me that he would save me? What's so good

  502. about me?

  503. But he did? He did.

  504. So if you think you're not worth it, well, I

  505. will side with what Jesus says. Right, and Jesus thought

  506. that we were worth it. So rather than side with

  507. you all or me, I will side with him. Are

  508. we worth it? According to Jesus we are. So you're

  509. not so good, it's all right.

  510. Look to the Lord. He still loves you. He still

  511. loves you.

  512. Jesus still loves you. If things are not working so

  513. well and you're not doing so good, and you feel

  514. you're not meeting up to the monk.

  515. That's okay. Look to Jesus, he still loves you.

  516. That love is able to make change. I mean, he's

  517. sacrificed for us. Okay, we talk about getting weckt. We

  518. talk about giving his life. We rarely talk about what

  519. he gave up. We rarely talk about what he gave up.

  520. Do you know there are many people who've gone to

  521. be with the Lord. Some have come back and they said,

  522. we didn't want to come back, it was so good,

  523. but the Lord said, I have a work to do,

  524. so him back. Can you imagine how many of you

  525. have got such a great thing want to leave that

  526. good thing.

  527. It's like it's like.

  528. Going from a palace of palaces into a dung pit.

  529. I mean, if you compare heaven and earth, that's what

  530. it would be like for him.

  531. To be.

  532. The center of attention where everybody is worshing him, to

  533. become the center of attraction, attention, where everybody is whacking him,

  534. beating him up, ripping him shred to shred, tearing away

  535. at his body. We rarely talk about what Jesus gave up,

  536. and he sacrificed all that because he thought you and

  537. I were worth it, and are we just going to

  538. let it rite and not make changes in our life?

  539. Start? He's a he is.

  540. He starts off it. Jesus starts off it. When you

  541. think about Jesus, you realize one thing. He starts your faith,

  542. and you know what he finishes it. Jesus doesn't do

  543. things in half measures, all right, completeness in our lacking

  544. life today. Jesus is completeness in our lacking life today.

  545. So he was focusing on Jesus satisfaction where nothing else

  546. in the world can. I'm going to move along a

  547. little bit faster. So in verse three it says I

  548. was with you in weakness, in fear, in much trembling

  549. and My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive

  550. words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit

  551. and of power, that your faith should not be in

  552. the wisdom of man, but the power of God. Why

  553. would Paul fear and tremble? Why would Paul be weak?

  554. You know, it's very stranger. Why was Paul fearful? Think

  555. about this? I tell you a few things. He had

  556. caused the demon to come out of a fortune teller,

  557. come out. So this is a man who's telling you

  558. he is fearful and trembling. But he commanded the demon

  559. to come out, and it came out. He was able

  560. to sing and pray in chains. How many of us

  561. in a dungeon with all the urine and the pool

  562. and the rats and the cockroaches will be focusing on

  563. anything but getting out of there?

  564. Right?

  565. Think what the jail was cleaner. They go with the

  566. host every day and wash. They don't wash men. It's horrible,

  567. What a terrible experience. My word, don't need to beat

  568. anybody up, just put them in the prison like that.

  569. Cannot go. But Paul, what did he do? He was

  570. able to sing and pray. Wow, Now this is a

  571. man who after that said, do you think they can

  572. just come and let me go? Get the council members

  573. here to come before me and apologize to me? Wow,

  574. you read it's further on. It's an except chapter sixteen.

  575. So this was a man, one man telling all of

  576. them who beat him up and threw him in prison.

  577. You don't let me out just like that. Get the

  578. council here, you think he told me nicely? I'm imagining, Paul,

  579. you get those people down here. Do you think that

  580. they can.

  581. Just let me go like that? Get damn here? Now?

  582. If I was pauled that so howard to talk? But

  583. praise the Lord, I'm not Paul. He could survive shipwrecks, man.

  584. Most of us, some of us are fearful of a

  585. swimming pool. He survived shipwrecks. Why would he be fir fearful?

  586. I mean, the snake bit him in his hand, and

  587. the people watched where he was gonna die or not.

  588. But he just shook the snake into the fire and

  589. he carried on business. So he wasn't afraid. And Paul said,

  590. I come to you with fearfulness. I understand that. Do

  591. you think it's a glorious thing for people to come

  592. up and preach to you. Do you think there is

  593. some kind of glory that we have. Let me tell

  594. you any preacher who's worth his salt, when it comes

  595. up before you, he's in fear and trembling. Because we

  596. do not bring our words before you. We have to

  597. actually bring God's word before you. We have to share

  598. rightly before you, because if we preach something that is

  599. not right, God will hold us accountable because I am

  600. talking to His children. Do you think God will sit

  601. idly by if I come to you with anything but

  602. the right thing. I preach to you in fear and

  603. in trembling. So I understand this. Every time when I

  604. walk praying for you, I'm telling God, Lord, it must

  605. never be what I.

  606. It has to be you.

  607. I didn't come with speech and persuasion very quickly held

  608. the mabele in me. When I you know, I don't know.

  609. I've told you this story before that when I was

  610. interested in her, I prayed to the Lord for her

  611. hand in marriage. I prayed one year. She had absolutely

  612. no idea that I was praying for her. You see,

  613. because I was looking for God's direction. Now I can

  614. sell eyes to a the eskimo meaning that I'm very persuasive.

  615. I can be very persuasive. Remember my parents said, I

  616. came out from the womb talking. So do you know

  617. that when you are looking for a life partner, it's

  618. very easy to get the opposite sex interested in you

  619. with kind words, with gifts, with persuasion. I'm interested in her.

  620. I want God's will in my life. So I was

  621. determined to hear from God. I was interested in her

  622. in my heart. I believe she was to be my

  623. partner in life. Did I do anything to let her know?

  624. No? You see, if I did not wish on.

  625. A birthday before praying for her, while I was praying

  626. for her, I didn't wish on a birthday. If I

  627. wouldn't go out for lunch with her, if I was

  628. not praying for her while I was praying for her,

  629. I didn't go out to lunch. You see, I didn't

  630. know that she had prayed a Lord to the prayer

  631. to the Lord, he said, Lord, the one that you

  632. sent for me to marry must be the one who

  633. prays for me, and I must not know.

  634. You see, I didn't know that.

  635. So one year after praying, when I approached it and said,

  636. I've been praying for you for one year, and I

  637. believe you know, will you pray together with me to

  638. seek the Lord's will.

  639. She was very upset. Yeah, she was very upset.

  640. You know why because I was a good friend and

  641. she didn't want that friendship to be ruined. And you know,

  642. from the moment I approached her, she said she knew

  643. that I was God's choice for her, but she just.

  644. Didn't want.

  645. So she said no. Cut a long story shot. Three

  646. and a half years later, off praying both sides.

  647. On the day we were.

  648. Announced to the church, her words and not minor. On

  649. the day we were announced as a couple, she said,

  650. I have no love for him. That's what she said.

  651. She told the Lord, I have no love for him.

  652. You gotta If something happens and it doesn't work out, Lord,

  653. I'm leaving. But it only took about one or two

  654. days and then she fell ahead.

  655. Over heels in love with me. You see, we.

  656. Have now been married for thirty four years. Speech and persuasion.

  657. You know who uses speech and persuasion? The devil, your

  658. enemy works in manipulation. Guys, if you're very good with

  659. the way you talk, be very careful, because God doesn't

  660. like anyone to manipulate somebody else. That is a devilish quality.

  661. And that's why Paul, although he was a learned person,

  662. did not come with speech and persuasion. He came in

  663. a demonstration, and power came in a demonstration of power.

  664. You know, faith is not rooted in the wisdom of man.

  665. Look up to man if you must, but faith must

  666. always be in God. Thank God for a faithful man

  667. in your life who speak the word into you. But

  668. always realize where you are concerned, it's beading you and God.

  669. That's why we have to go, because if we stay,

  670. it'd be very comfortable to rely on somebody else's faith.

  671. Where you have to grow and how do you grow?

  672. You go?

  673. So faith it's rooted not in the wisdom of man,

  674. but God's power. And I'm going to end with this testimony.

  675. I am taking an international billion dollar corporate to task.

  676. Just me.

  677. And then you say why whin scripture does it say that, Well,

  678. the Lord, they say, after I was minister to the Lord,

  679. say go ahead and do this. Later on, I've got

  680. the scriptural of backing. What is scriptural backing? What I

  681. shared with you BYX chapter sixteen, where Paul could have

  682. just left the place.

  683. But what did he say? Ah ah, not that way.

  684. Those people who are come and face me. He wasn't

  685. allowed about to let it go. So anyway, this corporation something,

  686. something wrong had been done. And I'm taking this corporation

  687. to task. It's an international corporation, by the way, it's

  688. a billion, multi billion dollar corporation. And who am I am? Nobody.

  689. I'm taking them to task. So I wrote to this

  690. country's I wrote to the number one country where this

  691. place was involved. And I see it all the directors.

  692. I see it all the top people, and they right

  693. back to me and say, now, thank you for your mail,

  694. but we have empowered the local people to handle it. Okay,

  695. praise the Lord. You've empowered the local people to handle it.

  696. So I started writing the local people, and the Lord

  697. was pushing them in the corner until it came to

  698. such a stage where they couldn't answer. And then something

  699. happened to my computer. It started to go crazy. Man,

  700. I pressed one button. I had to wait a long time.

  701. So obviously you know it was hacked. And I want

  702. to put all these emails together and send it once again.

  703. And when I went to look, everything had disappeared. About

  704. ten emails were gone.

  705. I couldn't find anything.

  706. Except the two emails that came from this top organization

  707. that made them look good. I was very disturbed. So

  708. that Friday at homes. You guys got to go to

  709. homes because when you pray at homes, things will happen.

  710. So I went to homes and I said, this is

  711. my problem. All those emails have disappeared. Pray, help pray

  712. with me that somehow things will come back. So okay,

  713. we prayed a eleven PM that night, Lord put in

  714. my heart spoke to my terrence, ask your Google can

  715. a Gmail or you know, can an email be hacked

  716. and erased? So I actually tapped that question and you know,

  717. praise God for Ai comes up with you answer, Yes,

  718. you can. Your email can be hacked and specific ones removed.

  719. Wow, that was.

  720. News to me. I thought, when they want to remove it,

  721. they just wipe everything off. Right, there's a specific email.

  722. You must remember, a billion dollar organization has got the

  723. know how and the rich to get somebody as small

  724. as me. So anyway, then I said, all right, can

  725. be done. Then the Lord spoke to my ear and said,

  726. ask Google where those removed emails can be retracted, can

  727. be taken back. So I asked Google this question, and

  728. you are Google said yes, I don't know, say yes,

  729. can be done.

  730. You know what you do?

  731. You go to your thresh and it's there for thirty days.

  732. I didn't know, so somebody asked me, hey, what you know.

  733. How come they just remove it all together? Because they

  734. removed it all together, then there's no plausible deniability. But

  735. if they put it there after thirty days, I cannot

  736. find it. It's just removed. It just automatically gets thrown

  737. out the undeclared. When I went into Thrash, I found

  738. it there. I was praising the Lord. Monday, I took

  739. all those emails, I copied and pasted on a word

  740. document and printed out the word documents. So now I've

  741. got written evidence. And now with confidence, I wrote to

  742. the local representatives and asked them thirty eight questions. Thirty

  743. eight questions. To date, they have not answered a single

  744. one because every one of those thirty eight questions nails

  745. step to the wall. Wow, we can't do that. First,

  746. yes he will, Yes, he will, And then two weeks

  747. later they call me and they start to negotiate with

  748. me on how they can solve the problem.

  749. Is that fantastic.

  750. I don't know about you, but this really touches my

  751. heart because it lets me know that no matter how

  752. big the obstacle is in front of you, He is bigger.

  753. He is bigger. And you say, why why do you

  754. need to take an organization task? Well, I believe this

  755. is what the Lord is neding need to do, and

  756. it appears to be so because step by step things.

  757. Are working out.

  758. I want you to know today, if you're forgotten everything

  759. when you start focusing on Jesus, when you start forgetting

  760. about all the niceties of the way you speak and

  761. the fantastic ways in which you do things, but you

  762. realize that you just need to focus on Him, and

  763. Him crucified the bad stuff and the good stuff. It

  764. grounds you to see miracles happen in your life. This

  765. was what Paul was trying to teach this church. The guys,

  766. It's going to be okay.

  767. That's it.

  768. If you forget everything that I've shared.

  769. With today, that's all right.

  770. At least go back knowing this. Your focus must always

  771. remain on Jesus.

  772. He saves you, He loves you.

  773. He will do everything for you that's right. He will

  774. look after you, he will keep you well, he will

  775. heal you. Will you hold firm, whether your eyes see

  776. it or don't. And I love what Paul says. He

  777. says this for me, to live is Christ and to

  778. die is Gained, meaning that there is no condition of

  779. any situation that rises above the love of Jesus. Whether

  780. it appears you've won or you haven't, You've won. That's

  781. what Scripture is saying. Whether it appears you've won or

  782. you haven't won, as long as you have Jesus, what

  783. you have what.

  784. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
