  1. You're listening to a message to go from X church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. What do you know about the Book of Acts? Tell me?

  4. Since you are called X church, right, I think we

  5. should know something about the Book of AX, not not X.

  6. Right.

  7. Every time when you know, you go to meet people

  8. and then they ask you if we shore you're from

  9. from ex Chug, You're like, huh this X churcher.

  10. No, No, from the book of AXT. What do you

  11. know about the Book of Acts? Tell me? Holy Spirit? Good?

  12. What else? Fellowship of the believers? What else? They saw

  13. their possessions together? Have you all saw your possessions? Oh? Okay,

  14. I think we're far from Anna. Okay? Anything else? What

  15. else do you know about the Book of ACX? Soul

  16. become Paul? All right? All right?

  17. And you know that the Book of X was just

  18. after the Gospels, right, So at the end of the gospels,

  19. what is the conclusion of the gospels? What do you

  20. know about? What was the conclusion of the gospels? The resurrection? Amen,

  21. Jesus went to the cross, he died, and then he

  22. rose again, and then he has ascended.

  23. Right, And that's where the Book.

  24. Of X started and the Holy Spirit became the key

  25. figure to now empowering the people of God to do

  26. mighty works for him.

  27. Amen.

  28. So so in summary, that is the Book of X.

  29. So I think we have to ask ourselves. Do we

  30. live like the Book of X.

  31. Yeah? So let's think about it, right, don't worry.

  32. You know, we are here, and I really believe that

  33. our name calls us to a higher calling, right, just

  34. like your names, whatever it is that God has given you.

  35. God has given this name, and God has called us

  36. to that purpose.

  37. Okay.

  38. So I'm gonna be reading of course you would know

  39. from the Book of Acts, yay. And you know that

  40. with the prayer and fasting for the nation as well.

  41. I think I've been part of it. And as I

  42. was really trying to take this time seriously, oh I

  43. didn't tell you, right, So, I mean the profits came

  44. and say, you know you, guys, you need to come

  45. back to the heart of the Book of Acts again

  46. and don't forget that you have a mission, you have

  47. a call, right, So if you want to take notes,

  48. I have titled the message for this morning from mission

  49. to mission. Both sound the same, right, Mission to mission Okay,

  50. And do you know that before the lot sends us

  51. from any mission, and sometimes when we think about mission

  52. the other mission, we always think about going for a

  53. mission trip. Right, is it right going for a mission

  54. trip or maybe swing into the missions fund? And that's

  55. how we limit what mission is. Right, It could be that,

  56. But you'll hear more so when you come for the conference.

  57. You'll hear that mission takes a lot of form, right,

  58. not just like I go for a mission trip. Yes,

  59. that's also part and parcel of it. But it's a

  60. great purpose, right because you can only go for your

  61. mission trip maybe twice a year.

  62. True.

  63. Uh, there's one lady for her name is Isabella from

  64. X eight am Mandarin. Some of you know she goes

  65. for a mission trip every month, Okay, yes, every month.

  66. She has decided that she's gonna go for a mission

  67. trip every month. And she has such a bad cast sickness,

  68. you know, very every mission trip that she's gone for us,

  69. she has vomited. The recent one that she went for

  70. pray Scott, she didn't and she was also sped from

  71. the diary that the rest of the teammaker. Now okay,

  72. so okay, that's a testimony for but but you see

  73. the things, right, where we think about mission, we think

  74. we go for it twice a year and most and

  75. then for the rest of the year we don't do mission.

  76. Is it.

  77. No?

  78. Right? Okay?

  79. So, but before God sends us on our mission, his

  80. greatest purpose, his greatest mission is you and me.

  81. I want to say that again.

  82. Before God sends us for a mission, his greatest mission

  83. is me, you, because God wants to work something in

  84. us before he wants us to do something for him.

  85. Amen, you get that? Okay.

  86. So the key text I'm gonna be reading today will

  87. be from X chapter nine, as you can see on

  88. the screen, and so let's read through that together. I'll

  89. be reading from the NKJV version. And do you have

  90. your Bibles with you?

  91. Yay. We are a Bible believing church.

  92. That's what extrage is, and we believe and we encourage

  93. you to bring your physical bibles, all right, so that

  94. there is less distraction on your phones.

  95. That's what we believe in.

  96. Okay, So next week if you forget this way, never mind,

  97. next way, you bring your bibles.

  98. Okay.

  99. If you don't have one, never mind, by or you

  100. can ask your CPC wait to buyer. You know that

  101. bibles are getting more and more rare, and it's harder

  102. to find good ones. Yeah, I mean, that's a state

  103. that we where we are are, right, So let's take

  104. this opportunity to invest. So the Bible is probably the

  105. most important thing that you can invest in. Okay, all right,

  106. So let's go to read. I'm going to read through

  107. once and then let's see where we can unpack from that.

  108. Okay, are you ready? Acts Chapter nine, verse one.

  109. Then Saul, still bringing threats and murder against the disciples

  110. of the Lord, went to the high priests and asked

  111. letters from him to the synagogues of the maskers, so

  112. that if he found any who were off the way,

  113. whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

  114. As he journeyed, he came near the Mascus, and suddenly

  115. a light shone around him from heaven.

  116. Is this story familiar? Some of you familiar? Right?

  117. Okay, let's move on. Okay, maybe I give you a

  118. bit of context before this happened.

  119. Was do you remember.

  120. Stephen Stephen, he was martyred, right, he was mutterred, killed,

  121. and then after he gave this long sermon, and then

  122. they stoned him to.

  123. Death, and then he gave up his spirit. Okay, and

  124. Saul was there consenting to his death. Okay.

  125. So that's why we are moving now, because this is now.

  126. So can you imagine this is now?

  127. Saul?

  128. Okay, breathing threats? Have you breathed threats before? I don't

  129. know how do you breathe threats? Okay, So imagine imagine

  130. with me. Okay, the Bible is real. Okay, he's breathing

  131. threats and murder okay, against the disciples.

  132. Okay.

  133. Let's this is a context, and I'm gonna read on

  134. from verse three.

  135. That's where I stopped. Now.

  136. As a journey, he came near Damascus, and suddenly a

  137. light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to

  138. the ground and heard a voice saying to him. Saul saw,

  139. why are you persecuting me?

  140. And he said, who are you? Lord? And the Lord said,

  141. I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard

  142. for you to kick against the goads.

  143. So he, trembling and astonished, said Lord, what do you

  144. want me to do? Then the Lord said to him,

  145. arise and go into the city, and you will be

  146. told what you must do. And the man who journeyed

  147. with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no one.

  148. Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes

  149. were open, he saw no one. But they led him

  150. by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he

  151. was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drink.

  152. Now there was a sudden disciple at the Mascus name Ananias,

  153. And to him the Lord said in the vision Annius,

  154. And he said, here I am Lord. So the Lord

  155. said to him, arise and go to the street called

  156. Straight and inquire at the house of Judah's for one

  157. called Saul of Tarsus.

  158. For behold, he is.

  159. Praying, and in a vision he has seen a man

  160. named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him

  161. so that he might receive his sight. Then Ananaias said,

  162. answered Lord, I have heard from many about this man

  163. how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.

  164. And here he has authority from the chief priest to

  165. bind all who call on your name. But the Lord

  166. said to him, go, for he is a chosen vessel

  167. of mind to bear my name before gentles, kings and

  168. the children of Israel. For I will show him how

  169. many things he must suffer for my namesake, and Ananaius

  170. went his way and entered the house, and laying his

  171. hands on him, he said, brother Saul, the Lord Jesus,

  172. who appeared to you on the road as you came,

  173. has sent me that you may receive your side and be.

  174. Filled with the Holy Spirit.

  175. There fell from his eyes something like skills and receive

  176. his side and was baptized at once. And he arose

  177. and was baptized. Then he received food, he was strengthened.

  178. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at the maskers.

  179. Amen.

  180. The Lord add to the reading of his word, Wow

  181. power one right now. As I was reading this, and

  182. then you know, the Lord told me, there's three things

  183. that I want you to share. Okay, three things. And

  184. the first question that I'm going to ask you is

  185. what are the questions I think we need to always

  186. ask ourselves some deep questions. Is that Okay, do you

  187. ask yourself questions or not? Initially, I want to say

  188. the difficult questions because the questions that I'm going to

  189. be asking you later it's going to be very difficult,

  190. not easy to answer. And I realized that sometimes we

  191. can get into a rut, a routine, into our you know,

  192. it's very easy to do life as a Christian.

  193. Correct.

  194. It's easy to just come in, you know, sing some songs,

  195. listen to some words for forty five minutes, and if

  196. she's kind, you know, she won't take it to one

  197. hour one and a half. And then after that you

  198. go for lunch. Right, it's very easy to do that.

  199. And you can't do that for thirty years without any

  200. change and transformation. Okay, And so I want us to

  201. be careful not to get to that place.

  202. You know, as we entered the.

  203. Sanctuary this morning, did you have this sense of just

  204. I'm entering into the presence of God? Did you have

  205. this sense of there is a fear of the Lord

  206. in these places all and reverence every time we come

  207. to worship God together. Did it happen for you? I

  208. think we have to ask ourselves that, right, because it's

  209. very easy. That's why I say it's very easy to

  210. take things for granted. You know, if you're rushing from

  211. here to there, everything you know, you're thinking about, your

  212. serving your.

  213. Ministry, all in the name of the Lord.

  214. But we can forget that, actually it is the Lord

  215. that we are meeting. You can do everything, Remember Mary,

  216. and Martha. You know, Mary was waiting.

  217. Martha was so busy, busy, busy, busy.

  218. You know, we can be so busy serving the Lord

  219. that we forget that it's Him that it's all about.

  220. It's all about him.

  221. And so I'm so conscious now that everything, every time

  222. I come into the present of God, put the fear

  223. of God in me. Do you know that nycf forty

  224. days the team is fear of God. I'm like, wow,

  225. so apt because I feel that if the church has

  226. lost the fear of the Lord, then we would have

  227. lost our cutting age. You can try and do things,

  228. but we would not be able to hear from the Lord,

  229. will not be able to do what he wants.

  230. Us to do. We can do everything except what God

  231. wants us to do. You know that. I think it's

  232. a scary thing.

  233. You know, we can do everything, you know, so our

  234. life go into full time ministry, and yet if God

  235. says that's not what I wanted you to do, then

  236. you have wasted your entire life. Oh that's scary, man.

  237. You want to talk about real fears. I think that

  238. that that's a real fear. So to me, now it's

  239. not about you know, what is it that I can do,

  240. how far I can go with my career is.

  241. More like God, what is it that you want me

  242. to do? Sometimes I'm so deaf? Like God, can you

  243. just got it? By tellinger? Okay? For our internationals?

  244. It means like dig my ears so that I can

  245. be still and hear that voice?

  246. What is it? And my desire is.

  247. Just to be able to do what you want me

  248. to do today? You know I'm not intriguous time for

  249. your side, but today.

  250. What is it? Lord? What is it? Who? What you

  251. want me to do? Right?

  252. And so the first question that Jesus will ask us

  253. time and time.

  254. Again he as he asked Saul, is this Saul? Saul?

  255. Why are you persecuting me? Have you ever identified with

  256. this question before? Or did you think that this was

  257. specific to Saul? Of course, not a Saul. You know

  258. you kill so many You allow so many Christians to

  259. be killed? Right, do you allow other Christians to be killed?

  260. No? You didn't consent to other people's death? What right?

  261. We're not We're not sault any saults? Yeah, of course

  262. not right. But you see the thing is right.

  263. I think sometimes we forget that we can be a Saul.

  264. Do you know that this question. You know, many times

  265. you can just read through this right, read through that.

  266. It's all yeah, okay, it's Aul was a bad guy.

  267. But actually you think about it, Saul was very zealous

  268. for God.

  269. Do we agree with that?

  270. Saul was a godly man, god fearing men.

  271. The reason why.

  272. He did all these things persecuted Christians was because he

  273. thought that there were against God the law of Moses,

  274. and he wanted to upheld uphold that he was Pharisee

  275. of the Pharisee. Okay, he called himself that like top

  276. notch Bible teacher, scripture, the Torah, he was there.

  277. He was a.

  278. Godly man, and sometimes godly man can miss the point,

  279. you see. And so although at this time you know

  280. that Jesus had already risen, right, so in that sense,

  281. we cannot persecute Jesus anymore.

  282. Is it possible? Let me ask you this question, is

  283. it possible to persecute Jesus again? Okay, I see some hates. No, No,

  284. it's not.

  285. Possible to persecut Jesus. And we may not be able

  286. to persecute Jesus. But you think about it, right, If

  287. that's the answer, then why did Jesus say, so, so,

  288. why are you persecuting me? Remember this is after Jesus

  289. had risen from the death. That from death, how come.

  290. Why is Jesus still accusing Saul? Saul? So, why are

  291. prosecuting me?

  292. Actually he's sitting at the right head of the Father already, right,

  293. So is it possible that, in Jesus' reason state, that

  294. someone can still persecute him?

  295. Yes, every time a.

  296. Believer is persecuted, you are persecuting Jesus. This is why,

  297. he says. You know, so, so why are you persecuting me?

  298. Jesus risen from the Dad. He's he's technically no longer

  299. on earth, but he is still The question was, so,

  300. why are you persecuting? Not the Christians? Why are you

  301. persecuting me? Is Jesus getting very personal? Okay, very personal?

  302. Why are you persecuting me? He didn't say the Christians,

  303. he didn't say my followers. He took it directly, he said,

  304. why are you persecuting me? So, dear friends, I think

  305. it's very possible for people today to persecute Jesus. Is

  306. it possible? Yeah, it is possible. Do you know there

  307. was a global status? There is global Do you know

  308. that in our church, right, No, in Malaysia, I have

  309. to say, we have not experienced persecution, not in the

  310. way the Book of Experience it, not in the way

  311. our surrounding country nations experienced persecution. Let's look at this next.

  312. Can you see the colored ones right, The orange ones

  313. are those with high persecution, and then the rate ones

  314. are like the highest persecution persecution level. And this was

  315. this church was taken in twenty twenty five.

  316. This is twenty twenty five.

  317. More than three hundred and eighty millions Christians suffer high

  318. levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith.

  319. Do you see Malaysia highlighted? I look at all the years.

  320. You're not thiny for any three. Malaysia not persecutor a man.

  321. So if you think you're being persecuted right now, okay, friends,

  322. I think we don't know what it means to be persecuted.

  323. Some of the other nations.

  324. Actually, do you know what's the number one number one

  325. country being persecuted for being a Christian?

  326. North Korea or Korea? Okay?

  327. And of course South Korea is Christian. Now that's why

  328. it's not highlighted at all. But persecution is very real, friends, right,

  329. and so last year alone, four four hundred and twenty

  330. six people died or were killed for professing faith in

  331. Jesus Christ. So I think the question is I think

  332. Jesus asking whoever it is, why are you persecuting me?

  333. Every time someone dies for their faith, they are being persecuted,

  334. And who is being persecuted is Jesus ultimately, because if

  335. you profess to follow Jesus, then.

  336. You are at risk. Yeah, we are walking risks, right,

  337. and if someone persecutes us, actually they're persecuting Jesus. So

  338. this is this is real, real stats.

  339. And you know, when I think about it, like wow,

  340. we are we are a call and a chosen nation,

  341. but we are also at risk or being persecuted.

  342. You still want to be Christian? Do you know?

  343. Pasa Santra was sharing with us, right, She wanted to

  344. get some discipleship material from one of the pastors who

  345. was doing a lot of work in one of these

  346. persecuted countries. I can't remember whether it was Africa or

  347. in Middle East. And so the pastor has his material, right,

  348. and so we want to invite him to speak in

  349. our church. And then he asks this question, Joe, are.

  350. You ready to die for your faith. He's like, let

  351. me think about it. There is not a straight yes,

  352. not yet, right, not yet.

  353. And so that pastor told us, if you're not ready

  354. to die for your faith, I'm not interested in your church.

  355. I'm only interested if you're ready and willing to die

  356. for your faith, then I will come. Because do you

  357. know that in many countries, that's what it takes to

  358. be a believer. They only have they have fourteen lessons

  359. in three three weeks time. They only had that much time.

  360. And I'm not gonna give you everything. And by the

  361. fifth lesson, are you ready to die for Jesus? If

  362. you're not, really, then let's not.

  363. Even talk about diciples.

  364. She know, we all talk about disciple sheep, And all

  365. that right for them is like are you ready to

  366. die or not? Are you ready that your whole family

  367. is gonna turn against you? They're gonna send assassins after you.

  368. And that's true in Pakistan right the many. That's why

  369. you have so many Pakistani refugees who are here seeking shelter,

  370. because that's what happens to them. They're on the run

  371. for being passes and for they're risking their lives. How

  372. you guys, like think. I also think about my own faith,

  373. you know, like, hey, I'm so comfortable. No, I just

  374. wake out in the morning, get dressed, go to church,

  375. you know. And most also traffic jam, but someday no

  376. traffic jam. Also, maybe that's why our faith can be

  377. weak sometimes, Yeah, there's not enough, Like do I really

  378. believe this or not? So there's a global persecution, and

  379. I like this because at a personal level, there is

  380. also the persecution of Jesus.

  381. I'm taking this.

  382. I'm gonna read this from Oswald Chambers. Do you know

  383. who Olswalt Chambers is.

  384. He's a really good.

  385. Teacher, a already died already that did right. But his

  386. devotional materials are really really deep. Okay, so I'm going

  387. to read to you what it says here. This is

  388. his from one of his devotions. He says, stubbornness and

  389. self will will always step Jesus Christ, ouch, are you

  390. persecuting Jesus? Says it may hurt no one else, but

  391. it warns his spirit whenever we are obstinate and self

  392. will and set on our own ambitions, we are hurting

  393. Jesus every time we stand on our own rights, and

  394. insists that this is what we intend to do, we

  395. are persecuting him. Whenever we rely on self respect, we

  396. systematically disturb and grief with Spirit. And when we finally

  397. understand that it is Jesus we have been persecuting all

  398. this time, it is the most crushing revelation ever. The

  399. spirit of Jesus is conscious of only one thing. We

  400. talk about the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit and the spirit

  401. of Jesus is the same, is one of the same.

  402. It's only conscious of one thing, a perfect oneness with

  403. the Father. Do we desire that in our lives every day?

  404. A perfect oneness with the Father.

  405. And if this is not our goal, we're like, okay, God,

  406. you know, just please pray through this, answer my prayer.

  407. And this is not perfect oneness with the Father. Yeah.

  408. And if we are out of this desire to have

  409. perfect oneness with the Father, we are grieving the Holy Spirit.

  410. And that's how we persecute Jesus. Ouch. It was a

  411. real ouch when I read this. You can do all

  412. kinds of things.

  413. And then when you realize that, Jesus, you mean, every

  414. time I'm stubborn, every time I am lazy, I'm persecuting you.

  415. Ouch. Ouch.

  416. So as I'm sharing this with you. This is also

  417. for me, right, So like, oh Jesus, why am.

  418. I prosecuting you?

  419. No, that's the last thing we desire, right, I think

  420. all our hearts we don't intentionally want to do that,

  421. but as we live, and if we're not careful, we

  422. can just like.

  423. Soul was zealous for the things of God, and yet

  424. he means that Jesus was the one that he needed,

  425. and so he went around killing believers in a name

  426. of Jesus. But Jesus is stop Saul, why are you

  427. persecuting me?

  428. And also with this, I think I think encouragement because

  429. you know what, Jesus doesn't want to leave Saul.

  430. The way he is.

  431. You know, you could have just gone like, okay, this

  432. is not condemned to health forever, true or not. But

  433. I can can I encourage you Church that Jesus will

  434. stop us in our tracks like today, and he will

  435. ask us this question, why are.

  436. You persecuting me? Elaine? To give us a chance? Do

  437. you know that that's the God that we serve.

  438. He doesn't just let us continue on in our error,

  439. erroneous ways. He doesn't let us continue on doing the

  440. wrong thing. He wants to get us to the right

  441. path again.

  442. Man.

  443. So that is the first difficult question, right. And so

  444. when you have this realization that you know this is

  445. Saul right. He's never encountered Jesus before. He wanted to

  446. persecute him because he thought he was, you know, a

  447. crazy man. And I like this other question, and we

  448. need to ask this question church, And this is Saul's question.

  449. To Jesus, who are you Lord? Have you ever asked

  450. this questions? Who are you? Lord? Who are you? Have

  451. you ever you asked this question to the law who

  452. are you?

  453. Or you just take whatever the preacher says to you

  454. or his son of God? Do you remember the same

  455. thing that happened when Jesus asks Peter, who do men

  456. say I am? Some say what some say Elijah, some

  457. say a prophet, good teacher. But Jesus, I don't care

  458. what people say. I don't care what the church leaders say.

  459. I don't care what pastors say. Who do you say

  460. I am? And if we cannot come to a place

  461. where we say you are the son of God, then

  462. we cannot go further from that.

  463. You know what I'm saying.

  464. You cannot go further when you don't have the acknowledgment

  465. of who Jesus is, and I pray Church, the me

  466. part on the mission is for us to really seek

  467. the Lord this season, to say, who are you Lord?

  468. Really? To me? Who are you Lord? Are you so

  469. precious to me? Are you the center of everything in

  470. my life? That nothing else matters? You know?

  471. We always sing the song nothing else matters, you know,

  472. everything I do, I do it for you.

  473. My songs love we had to do, you know, beautiful lyrics,

  474. but so hard to execute. And it says, who are

  475. you Lord? Who are you Lord?

  476. So we have to ask the Lord this question, amen,

  477. because this is what Jesus said to him after that.

  478. So can I encourage your church that when you ask

  479. the Lord who are you Lord? He will tell you.

  480. He will reveal himself to you. So let's think of him.

  481. And he says it is yes, I am Jesus. Wow,

  482. I am Jesus Lord. Say to him whom you are prosecuting?

  483. And he said this, You know it is hard for

  484. you to kick against the goods. Now do you know

  485. what this means?

  486. Don't know? Right?

  487. Any of you farmer here, ginny, do you farm before?

  488. Go to farm in the city? No, anyone farming farming.

  489. So have you ever.

  490. Understood this verse? It is hard for you to kick

  491. against the goats? Have you understood this? I still didn't

  492. understand that, not farmer? Okay, So now can I tell

  493. your gods?

  494. Right?

  495. Is this tool that has a sharp pointy thing added?

  496. Okay? Another version is like it's hard for you to

  497. kick against the pricks? Okay.

  498. So what happens is you know oxen, right, Oxen, you

  499. go and if you do farming, what they want to

  500. do is they want to give you direction because remember,

  501. you have a piece of land. I don't know how

  502. many acres you need to go in a straight line

  503. to plow the land? Correct, you cannot like plow plow

  504. right then base lie, you cannot grow anything. So so

  505. what they do is a farmer will have to guide

  506. the oxen. And they are always in pairs. They are

  507. yoke together. Can you see they are yoke together? Any

  508. familiar verse comes to you about yok okay, do not

  509. be an equally yolk is one thing?

  510. Good? Good, I'm glad that.

  511. Okay, Please do not be an equally yoked Okay. If

  512. you want to know what that means, talk to CPC

  513. or Joe later. But there's another verse that Jesus said

  514. about being your Do you remember that verse?

  515. Do you remember that verse?

  516. Take my yoke upon you, right, And that's where it says,

  517. you know then you know you will?

  518. What does it say after that? Take my yoke upon

  519. you and I will give you rest.

  520. We always like to quote the verse, but we don't

  521. know what it means, you know, to be yoke together

  522. with Jesus, right, and.

  523. It is it means that you're you're like chained together. Literally.

  524. Do you like to be chained to your wife and

  525. walk together like that? You know? You ever played the

  526. trick leg race? Right? And like're trying to walk together?

  527. Oh I saw some loving couples like, oh, I don't

  528. mind being yoke to you.

  529. Oh good, good good. Romance is still there. Go go

  530. keep it, keep it going.

  531. Uh.

  532. And and it's it's very hard to walk together, right,

  533. It's very have to walk together. And the thing is

  534. sometimes we go through life bearing all the burdens on

  535. our own, and Jesus says, no, I'm going to be

  536. yoke to you.

  537. And he's the one.

  538. That's going to guide you through and he's gonna carry

  539. the heavior weight because Jesus can carry all your weight.

  540. Amen.

  541. So so okay, so they're guiding, and what the farmer

  542. needs to do is I will need to have this device.

  543. Because they don't understand English or Hebrew or Greek. The

  544. oxen don't left, left, right, right, they cannot. What they

  545. understand is if I go to the and the farmer

  546. wants me to go to the right, there's the thing. Ah, Okay,

  547. I'm gonna go to the lab ouch, but I will.

  548. I know, I understand the signal. I understand the signal.

  549. Okay, you get it.

  550. You might think it's very cruel, but the Bible uses

  551. a lot of this analogy.

  552. I was so surprised, you know, because I.

  553. Was just reading the Book of Ecclesiasts in my devotion

  554. and can I just point you to it. Ecclesias, just

  555. the final verse. It just kind of blew my mind.

  556. Let's go to Ecclesiastis the final final chapter twelve, okay,

  557. just Ecalsis.

  558. Oh, this is so hard to say. Ecclesias, this chapter twelve,

  559. verse eleven, And this was my devotion this morning, and this.

  560. Is what it says. The words of the wise are

  561. like goats. Hey, how come these will come up with you, you know.

  562. And the words of the scholars are like well driven

  563. nails given by one shepherd. You mean what God uses

  564. shop things to get us into the direction that he

  565. wants us to go. Yes, ouch, And you're like saying, Nola,

  566. you know, you just use the gentle way.

  567. But you know this is what the word says. The

  568. words of the wires are like God. So you don't

  569. like sometimes have to hear the wisdom because they freak

  570. you correct, not prick your conscience. You go like, ah,

  571. but guess what, it's good.

  572. It's good to be pricked by the Lord because if

  573. you're not being pricked by the lot, now we can

  574. go off tangent without knowing and you can be walking

  575. in circles your whole life without knowing. How come my

  576. life is, you know, going around in circles.

  577. I don't know how come? And so it's good to

  578. be pricked by the Lord.

  579. And so God is saying, it's very hard for you

  580. to kick against the ghosts.

  581. You know why?

  582. You know that if you the shopping is there, right,

  583. try kicking against it? Have you tried kicking against the nail?

  584. Do you want to?

  585. No? Way? Right? And God is saying, why you try

  586. to resist me, I give you the warning already out

  587. a little bit. And if you continue resisting God's will,

  588. You're gonna hurt yourself. Do you know You're gonna be

  589. kicking against the nail and you go like, ah, I'm bleeding.

  590. But God is saying, no, I brought you gently.

  591. But if you reverse and you don't want to go

  592. the way I want to go, I am directing you.

  593. Know this is what the shepherd does, right, I'm directing

  594. you to where you need to go. Wake up early,

  595. do your quiet time.

  596. No lazy bird.

  597. You know someday you know we keep on saying this,

  598. do your quiet time Church. You cannot afford to not

  599. have your own.

  600. Quiet time out.

  601. Why I say again and again, Can I tell you

  602. that's a good if it breaks you good.

  603. Because you need to do something about it.

  604. Because if you don't grow in the world of God,

  605. how can you grow in faith? How can you really

  606. grow in spiritual maturity?

  607. Right?

  608. It's things like that is disciplined, is walking with the

  609. Holy Spirit, right, being guided and being pricked. It's okay,

  610. I'm like, okay, God, It's okay, I'm okay being pricked

  611. now at least I know I'm going in the right direction. Right,

  612. So don't kick against the God's example.

  613. Don't kick against the God. Don't go against God's will.

  614. God wants the best for you, a man, just as

  615. he's encountering Saul right now, he's encountering you right now,

  616. and God wants to turn you from where whichever direction

  617. you're going to, and God saying, no, this is where

  618. I want you to go. Amen, don't go against God

  619. because you're res hurting yourself. Now, once we have answered

  620. this question successfully, who is the Lord? And he will

  621. tell you I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, and

  622. he says, stop resisting, Mila, Can we stop resisting Jesus?

  623. Many times, we don't resist anyone else except Jesus, Okay,

  624. And then.

  625. What is the right response?

  626. After you know who Jesus is already, you're like, wow,

  627. son of God, king of Kings, lord of Lord's majesty,

  628. the Lord of the Heaven's armies.

  629. You know all this about Jesus. Really? Then what next?

  630. It's found in the next question, what do you want

  631. me to do? Yeah?

  632. Simple, if you acknowledge Jesus already as who he is,

  633. the son of God, the One, our Savior, our Lord,

  634. our master. The next thing you do is you take

  635. this position of saying, okay, Master, what do you want.

  636. Me to do?

  637. Correct, it's all like, okay, so, Jesus, I know that

  638. you are of God. I know that you're a master.

  639. I'll see you next.

  640. Year at Christmas.

  641. No, right, it's straight away. I submit myself. What do

  642. you want me to do? Now that you say, before

  643. you can go, you can ask the Lord what do

  644. you want me to do?

  645. You have to get that revelation of who are you Lord.

  646. You see that without the revelation of who Jesus is,

  647. it's very hard to ask the Lord what do you

  648. want me to do?

  649. Because it will be futile because you don't know him.

  650. You don't know his motive, you don't know his heart,

  651. you don't know his mind. Right, So what do you

  652. want me to do? And of course Saul trembling and astonish,

  653. he said, the Lord said to him, arise and go. Now,

  654. this is a rise and go is very important. Do

  655. you know that God will always want us to arise

  656. and go? Yeah, He doesn't ask us to stay comfortable

  657. where we are. A rise and go every time Jesus

  658. heals someone, He healed the paralyzed men. He say, take

  659. up your mat and walk right. It's arising and going.

  660. So as church, that's what we are. We arise and

  661. we go. We don't stay, we don't stay where we are.

  662. So many of of us are trapped in our comfort zone.

  663. Trap.

  664. I say trap because I realized that because we are

  665. not persecuted, our God becomes comfort. Do you know that

  666. when you have persecutions, people chasing after you are You're

  667. like Jesus, you're real in me.

  668. I will be praying, I'll be reading the word. You're not.

  669. You're not thinking I think I'll do it tomorrow. Oh

  670. I think maybe if I got time, I will, I'll

  671. do it. No, no, no, because your life now depends

  672. on it.

  673. So so I feel that the modern church, at least

  674. in Malaysia, we are fighting our greatest enemy, which is comfort.

  675. And it's true, it's very true.

  676. We you know, because when prosecuted outwardly, inwardly we become God.

  677. And that's how we persecute Jesus.

  678. So so so he yo pawla Lord. So Jesus says, arise

  679. and go.

  680. So let's let's ask God arise and go, Lord, would

  681. you give me the courage to arise and go?

  682. And so he did.

  683. Now after the first question, after going through these difficult questions,

  684. and once this has been sealed in your spirit, in

  685. your mind and your heart, then what will happen is

  686. what do you see?

  687. The next question, what do you see? Right? And do

  688. you know that at this time soul was blinded. He

  689. was blinded right.

  690. The light shone from heaven and he's like, oh, cannot

  691. see and everyone heard a voice but saw nothing and

  692. saw no one all right, And so that's why they

  693. had to bring him by hand because he was blinded.

  694. Now and then he says that for three days he

  695. was without sight and neither ate nor drank.

  696. Okay, he went into fasting. Word.

  697. Sometimes, when we have our eyes open too much to

  698. the things of the world, we get very attracted and

  699. consumed by everything. And for God to do something deeper

  700. within us, he has to close our eyes. And that's

  701. why I feel when we pray and when we fast,

  702. we are saying God, I'm gonna close these eyes that

  703. is very attuned to the physical world, so that I

  704. can open my spiritual eyes.

  705. Do you see that the prayer and a fasting.

  706. That's what it is, is saying God, I'm gonna remove

  707. myself from the normal things that I do, the normal

  708. things that I see, so that you can awaken in

  709. me the spiritual things of God. Do you know that

  710. fasting is not magic? You know it's not magic. Fasting

  711. and prayer it's not magic. But it's a discipline. It's

  712. a discipline of saying God, I am serious about you.

  713. Every time I'm start it's hungry. I'm serious about you.

  714. And God honort that because Jesus seems solf faster and pray.

  715. Amen.

  716. So so let's let's follow after what Jesus did. It's

  717. a spiritual discipline. And when we feed our flesh, then

  718. we become. What do you get when you feed your flesh,

  719. you get your flesh. What you saw is what you reap.

  720. Right.

  721. If I feed, I constantly feed my flesh, you know,

  722. I constantly eat, I constantly watch things. Then that part

  723. of me will grow, the flesh of me will grow.

  724. But when I start sowing into no the word of God, time, God, prayer, intercession,

  725. serving ministry, I'm sowing into my spiritual side.

  726. You see that?

  727. Do you want your flesh to win or your spirit

  728. to win. Of course, the text will answer is spirit

  729. like right, But how often do you like the spirit win?

  730. Ouch?

  731. Whenever you're angry, how often does your flesh tex over?

  732. And then you silent the Holy spirit within you?

  733. No, let go forgive, No hurt me so bad, cannot forgive.

  734. You're silencing the Holy Spirit.

  735. And the more you silent the Holy spirit, guess what,

  736. Your flesh becomes stronger and you become more angry. It's

  737. a cycle. Whatever your feet will grow, true or not.

  738. Whatever your feet will grow, including your own body. And

  739. now you're growing this way. Never mind, it's okay, we grow.

  740. We want to grow spiritual strength.

  741. Amen.

  742. So yeah, he was three days without food and neither

  743. ate or drank. And then you know, of course Annis

  744. came and ministered to him, and you see the thing

  745. is right.

  746. God is so good that from revelation. What do you see,

  747. Let's see the next light.

  748. Our eyes may be open, Oh, but go back to

  749. Our eyes may be open, but we still can't see.

  750. Do you see that? Our physical eyes may be open,

  751. but we can't see. We can't see the point. We

  752. can't see it. So that's what it is.

  753. And then what's the next light until someone prays for

  754. us and we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Remember

  755. that's what happened with Saul. Ananias came, Thenest came, and

  756. then he said, okay, you're gonna kill all the Christians.

  757. You've been killing all Christians. And then now I have

  758. to pray for you. And you notice what And I said,

  759. not brother, brother Saul, okay, brother Eddie, will you do

  760. that to your enemy, someone that you fear. But no,

  761. Annius received the vision, and he says, okay, brother Saul.

  762. The Lord Jesus said, even though I think Ananias must

  763. be scared, scared like anything, because he can throw me

  764. into jail, you know.

  765. But he went and said, okay, I received this because

  766. I had the revelation. And when the revelation comes, let's

  767. go to the next light. You will get sights. You

  768. will receive sights, you will receive the spirit of God.

  769. And he says that you will receive strength.

  770. You see that in verse seventeen. Brothers saw this is

  771. what and and I said to him, the Lord Jesus,

  772. who appeared to you on the road as you came,

  773. has sent me that you may receive your sight right

  774. and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

  775. So from the revelation he received his side, he received.

  776. The Holy Spirit, and he received strength because you know what,

  777. God is very very practical as well. He says, after that,

  778. something like skills fell from his eyes. He received his sight,

  779. and he was baptized. Do you know that soul was

  780. baptized as so immediately. So as an encouragement church, you know,

  781. we always do this if you truly know who the

  782. Lord Jesus is. I don't wait until you're too.

  783. Old to get baptized. I don't know what that means

  784. to some of you.

  785. Right, if you are a follow of Jesus Christ and

  786. you have not been water baptist, can I encourage you

  787. to take that step of faith?

  788. Yeah?

  789. I don't think that it's nothing. By the way, it

  790. doesn't affect myselfish. No, you want to do it.

  791. You want to do it, right, Jesus who didn't need

  792. to be baptized, was baptized.

  793. What more us who's full of sin and needs to

  794. be cleansed from our sin. Right, So I just want

  795. to encourage you. We run baptism like at least four

  796. times a year.

  797. So just take this step again, arise and go be baptized.

  798. Don't just sit and say no, no.

  799. I don't know what your reason or excuses are, but

  800. enough just say yes.

  801. I will go with you all the way.

  802. Publicly declare that you belong to Jesus Christ a man.

  803. He was baptized, and then when he had received food,

  804. he was strengthened. And then sauls plan some days with

  805. the disciples of Jesus, and all this, all this right

  806. when Jesus encounters saw, even when he was the most

  807. I think he's probably the worst of the worst. You

  808. think about it, right, I mean all of us everage, Lah?

  809. Are we every sinner? I think we're every singer correct? Correct,

  810. We're not the worst of the sinner's la, every singer,

  811. every sinner?

  812. Correct.

  813. That's how you think, you and I think, actually, right,

  814. we are not so bad. We're not very good either,

  815. but we're not so bad.

  816. True? Not true? Not? Is it just me? Okay? Maybe

  817. I I think like that I am the everyge syner.

  818. I'm not so not bad.

  819. Lad, you know I'm saving you God, I'm every sinner, Lah.

  820. And compared to soul, it is not bad dealer. These

  821. are really really off the skills, right. And Saul, who

  822. turned to Paul admitted, I'm the worst of sinners. I'm

  823. cheap sinner than actually think, are you. Yeah, I'm not

  824. that far off. I'm not that average. After all, you know,

  825. sin is sin, right, there's no such thing as an

  826. average sinner. You sin means your sinner again against God

  827. already right, And then he went and.

  828. He met with the Lord. There was that revelation of

  829. who God is.

  830. Now all this after the hard questions and then the

  831. restoration of sit The final question, and the very important question.

  832. Is what for?

  833. What's all this for? Why did Jesus go through all

  834. the trouble to go ahead and meet me? So he

  835. didn't need to, you know, but he's recorded in the

  836. Word of God because God wants to tell us something

  837. that he wants to have a very personal relationship with

  838. you and I to that extent, you know. And there

  839. were so many incidences where Jesus met with individuals and

  840. can I tell you the good news.

  841. Is our God is a very personal god' just like oh,

  842. one big church, three thousand people.

  843. Okay, I don't know your name. I forgot ready, So

  844. I am like that, Okay, I.

  845. Will forget your name. I'm sorry, Tim If I forget

  846. your name. Okay, Jesus will not forget your name. Okay.

  847. He remembers your full name, Chinese name. He can pronounce

  848. it better than I got Chinese name.

  849. Not God.

  850. He knows you from your mother's womb. That's how God

  851. knows us, and he wants to get personal with us.

  852. So the revelation is there. But what do we do

  853. with this? Right?

  854. What do we do with this? And we can see

  855. this come in it Finally, in the revealing of the purpose,

  856. he spends some days. We remember we read up to

  857. verse nineteen, right, okay, let's read again versse nighty. So

  858. he had when he had received food, he was Strengthen,

  859. what do you need strength for.

  860. To continue living your life? You're always nope?

  861. Then saw spend some days with the day disciples at Damascus.

  862. Please do that.

  863. This year we are in the theme of disciples. First,

  864. we are in the journey of disciple making. And if

  865. you don't know what that means, what that looks like again,

  866. talk to your leaders here. It means that we have

  867. a relationship with you. It means that sometimes we can

  868. be the goat that you don't like, the prick that's

  869. gonna help you as representatives of God to make sure

  870. you come the right way, you walk the right way. Okay,

  871. So do that? Do that, you know, and we don't

  872. stop just being disciples. We are disciples who make disciples, imen,

  873. and that that's our call. And you know that in

  874. matiy that that's what we always talk about when we

  875. talk about missions. Right, go and make disciples. He didn't say,

  876. go and make babies, although some of you do make babies.

  877. It's okay, then disciple your baby la right Crystal, She's like, okay,

  878. got it, got the message, Go and make disciples.

  879. Every opportunity is disciple making opportunity. Amen.

  880. Every conversation do you know that every conversation is an

  881. opportunity to disciple?

  882. Right, So let's have that within us. All this to say.

  883. That there is a purpose because in verse twenty, now

  884. look at verse twenty.

  885. Immediately this is Saul.

  886. Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues that he

  887. is the son of God. So if you ask me

  888. what is all this thing for why God appears to

  889. us intimately personally, some of us physically. If you ever

  890. met the Lord in a vision in a dream, and

  891. he confronted with all these difficult questions until we get it.

  892. And then he says, okay, now go arise and go.

  893. And that's remember what Saul asked him, What shall I do?

  894. What do you want me to do? And he went

  895. around proclaiming, you know what the Holy Spirit is for?

  896. Someone says, the Book of ex is all about the

  897. Holy Spirit? Right? You think the Holy Spirit is for you?

  898. To help you? I don't know, wash toilet, cook well,

  899. sleep well.

  900. Fine packing?

  901. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know this fine fucking thing.

  902. Holy Spirit, help me find pucking. Is that all the

  903. Holy Spirit is for? They help me find pucking.

  904. That's a good one. And the Holy Spirit shall come

  905. upon you so that you become my witnesses in all Judea,

  906. Samarah and to the ends of the world. If you

  907. think about the Holy Spirit, and we say, you know,

  908. come Holy Spirit. The whole purpose of the Holy Spirit

  909. is to empower us to become witnesses. Are we witnessing?

  910. Just like Saul here immediately he preached Christ that he's

  911. the son of God.

  912. That's it.

  913. So from the mission now it's all about me. My righteousness.

  914. Soul was known for that his self righteousness. Some of

  915. us when I say that we are self righteous, right,

  916. it means that we are not so bad. Lah, the

  917. average sinner thing not so bad now self righteous until

  918. we recognize my righteousness is like rubbish, that's what Paul says.

  919. He says, actually, in the actual translation, he says, my

  920. righteousness is like a youth sanitary pat.

  921. You're like, what are you being to graphic? Yes, that's

  922. what he says. It's like dumb, it's rubbish. Whatever you

  923. think that you're good for, if you know who.

  924. Jesus is, is rubbish because the only righteousness that we

  925. can receive.

  926. And impute it upon us is Jesus. The righteousness from Jesus,

  927. and Jesus gave it freely to all of us. Have

  928. we taken jesus righteousness for granted? Have we stopped thanking

  929. him and saying, Wow, God, you have given me all

  930. that I need. Actually, sometimes we feel like we're so

  931. needy and Jesus, hey, hello, I give you the keys. Ready,

  932. I gave you all of it already, I died, I.

  933. Did the difficult part. Okay, I die, you didn't, but

  934. I gave.

  935. You all the keys.

  936. And why do we live Christians in such a scarcity mindset?

  937. Like I don't have enough law. I don't know what

  938. to do. La Hello, Holy Spirit.

  939. Also given to you already, not only to find bucking

  940. only ogay is to give you wisdom and revelation onto

  941. all truth, and all truth points back to Jesus. Amen,

  942. so that we can preach Christ. Because until the whole

  943. earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of

  944. the Lord, our job is not done. So it doesn't matter.

  945. I you know, as crude as it, maybe it's like,

  946. I'm not interested in what you do as your career.

  947. I'm not interested in where you are in your relationship status.

  948. I'm more interested in are you really following Jesus.

  949. That is the core of it. I mean, if you

  950. were talking about church right that that's what it's all about.

  951. Are you following Jesus? Do you love Jesus with all

  952. your heart, your mind, your soul, and your strength. If

  953. you don't, then let's get that together. Imen.

  954. This is not a session to condemn anyone, but it's

  955. to convict our hearts. It's the God that's gonna prick

  956. us until we say, okay, Lord, I don't want to

  957. kick against the pricks. I don't want to do this

  958. if I'm you know, that's what discipleship is for. If

  959. you are struggling with some parts of your life, certain habits,

  960. certain mindsets, that's what discipleship is. Go to any of

  961. the leadership and say, hey, I really need to keep

  962. myself accountable in this. I want to grow in this area.

  963. If it's a discipline of I don't or praying, if

  964. it's a discipline of you know, having the right thoughts,

  965. I want this And the Family of God is here

  966. to support one another for that.

  967. Amen.

  968. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
