  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Okay, this morning, I've got a message that it's a

  4. little bit serious. That's because when we are growing up

  5. in a Christian faith and as we are moving to maturity,

  6. we always want ourselves to be in an atmosphere an

  7. area where God can bless us. And sometimes we've reached

  8. certain levels that we seem to get stuck. And you

  9. know what's more, what's extra? What is there that we

  10. need to you know, accomplish before we can receive more

  11. from the Lord. Well, I want to talk to you

  12. about good Christian maturity. And I'm continuing on the Book

  13. of Corinthians, and this time I am doing chapter four,

  14. Chapter four. In chapter four, when you actually read the

  15. whole chapter, you realize that Paul is speaking to the

  16. Corinthian Church and he's asking them this question, how do

  17. we treat or how do you treat Christian leaders? The

  18. thing is is, how do we treat Christian leaders? How

  19. do we treat the ones who have been put over us?

  20. How do we treat a CPCs, How do we treat

  21. our pastors? How do we treat our full time workers.

  22. How do we treat the people who bring the Word

  23. of God? How do we treat them? And you've got

  24. to understand Paul when he was talking, He's not asking

  25. them neither am I asking for you to you know,

  26. asking you for blessings? No, that's not what Paul was doing.

  27. But he was teaching them something that was going to

  28. open doors for them to receive much more. Because you've

  29. got to understand something about the Corinthian Church. They were

  30. people who already believed they had great gifts from the Lord.

  31. They already had great spiritual gifts, they already had great blessings.

  32. They were rich church. They were experiencing a lot of

  33. great things and good things. And you know what, just

  34. like I was talking about, when you're in a rich

  35. country and a fluent country, you're thinking changes because I'm

  36. so affluent, you can't approach me so easily. You put barriers,

  37. you put roadblocks in front of you. And this was

  38. exactly what was happening in the Corinthian Church. So when

  39. Paul came to corinth he wanted to address all these things.

  40. This whole chapter is about getting them correct, This whole

  41. chapter is about getting them to see certain things. So

  42. how do we treat a Christian leaders? Do you consider Okay,

  43. this one? I think I put the language the next light.

  44. It was too much focusing on us. No, that's not

  45. my you know because when I was working on it,

  46. I was just writing as the Lord was speaking to me.

  47. So how do you treat us as the guys who

  48. speak to you the word of God? How do you

  49. treat those who sometimes have to come up to you

  50. and say, hey, you got to change your life. How

  51. do we treat those who come up to you and

  52. say you can do better? Oh? I used to hate

  53. that you can do better because actually I used to

  54. do very well in school. I always used to do

  55. very well in school, and my father would always say

  56. you can do better. I hated that. I mean, among

  57. my siblings are I was scoring like nobody's business. I

  58. was always up there and he can say you can

  59. do better. I'm thinking to myself, what's wrong with you? Men?

  60. You know? Is this what we have for our lives today?

  61. Can we do better? Do we consider God's people or

  62. God's servants? Do we consider those who bring the word

  63. to you every Sunday as God's servant? Do you consider

  64. as faithful as faithful ministers of God's word. I tell

  65. you this. I have been in Christian leadership now for

  66. some time, maybe ten maybe twelve years in ex church,

  67. but maybe a lot more while growing up, and I

  68. can tell you that sometimes people don't like you just

  69. because they don't like your face. And a lot of

  70. people just didn't like my face. I mean, I cannot

  71. understand why they didn't like me. And then when I

  72. went to school, some of my friends told me, why, say,

  73. what's the matter with you? You come like you know everything,

  74. so we didn't like you. So I used to tell them,

  75. is it my faulty if I know everything? See, that's

  76. why they didn't like me even more because I you know,

  77. I'd always make fun of them. But you know, so what,

  78. so what if somebody knows more than you saw? What

  79. if somebody maybe reads a little bit more than you saw?

  80. What is that a reason to dislike them? And then

  81. they all tell me this, we dislike you the moment

  82. we saw you, but once we got to know you,

  83. we loved you. Why can't you just love someone when

  84. you see them? You know, Jesus was like that. Jesus

  85. just loved them even before he met them. He just

  86. loved them. In fact, before they gave his life, before

  87. they even gave their lives to him, he loved them.

  88. Can we be like him? Can we love someone just

  89. because they're a human being? Can we love someone just because, ah,

  90. they're alive and they're good. Hey, guys, you and I

  91. got to realize one thing in this world today. There

  92. are so many things we will not like. We are

  93. not called to react to the things we like or dislike.

  94. We actually call to love. We actually call to love

  95. the person on the left and love the person on

  96. the right. That's why we may not like what they do,

  97. but we can love them with the love of Christ. Hey,

  98. Jesus loved you even before you knew him. And today

  99. you're seated here because he saved you. You're seated here

  100. because you realize and recognize that He gave his life

  101. for you. If there's any person here that does not

  102. know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, this message is

  103. a message that talks about spiritual maturity, Christian maturity. But

  104. I want you to know and I want to get

  105. this out of the way because I love to do this.

  106. I love to share with you. Jesus died for your

  107. sins and mine. He died for us so that we

  108. can be saved. He died for us so that we

  109. do not have to have that spiritual death. He died

  110. for us because he wanted to save us. Sin causes death.

  111. Jesus overcame death. And if you received the Lord and

  112. ask him to forgive you, he forgives you of your sin.

  113. The Bible says you move from death to life. So afterwards,

  114. the CPC will make an announcement and she will say,

  115. if there's anyone here that does not know Jesus christis

  116. Lord and Savior, put up your hands. If you want

  117. to know him, receive him. And when that call comes,

  118. if you do not know Jesus, do receive him. The

  119. world is actually heading to a very very dark place.

  120. I'm sure none of you are unaware of the things

  121. that have just happened over the last few days. I

  122. had some friends in I had one particular friend in

  123. Canada who happens to be such an influential writer that

  124. the Canadian Parliament had him testify before them on gangsterism

  125. and all the works that because he went under cover

  126. and he exposed all this. So we had this guy

  127. who writes and he says, oh, this guy that just

  128. was assassinated, big deal. His divisive is this is that

  129. I couldn't help myself, so I had to write so

  130. an act of cowardice to deal with someone with violence

  131. when they cannot argue his points of view? Is that

  132. what we've become to. Let's not get into that, but

  133. I want you to consider that the people who are

  134. there over you, or who are sharing the word of you,

  135. a word of God with you, do they have your

  136. response as I recognize you as someone who's bringing the

  137. word to me. That's maturity. You know. It's not about

  138. my face. You don't have to like my face. Maybe

  139. I look ugly, it's okay. But what's important is are

  140. these words touching your heart? That's what's important. That's what's

  141. You may not even like the way I address today.

  142. I feel a little bit because I wasn't quite sure

  143. whether all of us are supposed to dress in batty. Yeah,

  144. I'm sorry. I addressed in butty because there was a message,

  145. and then I came here and said, oh, I don't

  146. know whether it's the right thing. I feel a little

  147. bit out of place, but not my You may not

  148. like the way I dress. But the word of God

  149. is still true. Right, this is what Paul says. Paul admits. Okay,

  150. if you read in chapter four, he admits that he

  151. was a judged person. Do you know they judged Paul.

  152. You know why they judged Paul. What is this you

  153. telling me about Jesus? They judged Paul, and you know what,

  154. Paul did not care what they thought of him. Paul

  155. didn't care. You want to think better of me? So

  156. what you know that Paul didn't even judge himself. You

  157. read what scripture says, I do not even judge myself. Guys,

  158. I do not need to have the propping up or

  159. the friendship, or I would say people to come around

  160. and tell, oh, your good, you're God. I don't need that,

  161. you know why? Because I know who I am, believed,

  162. I have believed, and he is able to keep that

  163. which I've committed to him until that day. God does

  164. for me things to encourage me so that I know

  165. where I stand with him. And some of these things

  166. are so great. I just I just recently received a blessing.

  167. I don't mind telling you six figures. And how is

  168. this possible? It's God man. I had to literally fight

  169. or come against huge, huge corporations, international corporations, and this

  170. little person God can still cause to win. How is that?

  171. Because God is not a respect of people. He respects

  172. your heart, he respects your belief in him, He respects

  173. who you are. Guys, we gotta stop looking to things

  174. that causes us to judge by our sight. Paul says

  175. he does not even judge himself because he wants that

  176. judgment comes from God. Hey, guys, we don't want to

  177. live in a world where we are judging people. Why

  178. judge people? You know, if Jesus judged people, he should

  179. have just come and say death to all of you

  180. because we are all rotten sinnus kragn You agree, But

  181. did he come and do that? No? What did he

  182. come to? Father? Forgive them for they know not what

  183. they do. You know that in that prayer he wasn't

  184. just praying for the people that put him on the cross.

  185. He's spraying for us, spraying for everyone. Father, forgive them

  186. for they know not what they do. You know. That's

  187. what you can love about Jesus. He loved us so completely,

  188. there is no doubt in his love. So he didn't

  189. look at us as people who were bad people who

  190. are Sinnis? And that's the sad thing. Do you realize

  191. that this capacity to judge one another? Do you know

  192. whose spirit that is? Do you know whose spirit it

  193. is for us to judge one another? Is spirit the enemy?

  194. Because what the scripture called the enemy the accuser of

  195. the brethren. How are we gonna get on? Whose side

  196. are we gonna get? Are we gonna get on the

  197. side of the Lord? Are we gonna get on the

  198. side of the enemy? You know that, Paul says, And

  199. this is for I know that I he says in

  200. verse four, for I know of nothing against myself. Yet

  201. I am not justified by this. But he who judges

  202. me is the Lord. Ah, let's not wait until the

  203. Lord judges us. Also, let's get a life in order. Okay.

  204. You know I I tell people this all the time.

  205. When we see the Lord, He's not gonna ask us

  206. how much of money we go in the bank. He's

  207. not gonna ask us did you receive a datorship or

  208. a dance fership. He's not gonna ask us things like

  209. that that will mean nothing to him. He's only gonna

  210. ask us one question, what did you do for me? Now?

  211. Does that mean you stop doing all those other things. No,

  212. because in the process of living your life, you have

  213. an opportunity to reach out to the people around you.

  214. A person who is in marketing has a better opportunity

  215. to reach out to the marketing fraternity about Jesus. A

  216. person who's a lawyer has a easier time speaking to

  217. lawyers because he speaks their language. A new covenant. Hey,

  218. Jesus gave you a contract. Okay, it's an contract that

  219. cannot be broken. So they understand that. Because the lawyers

  220. understand contracts, the doctors will understand be healed in the

  221. name of Jesus. And the guy got up and walked,

  222. the doctors will understand what gel is all about. So,

  223. whoever you are in the vicinity of that's where God

  224. has called you. Now. Paul then says in verse five,

  225. I think it is therefore judge nothing before the time

  226. until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light

  227. the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of

  228. the heart. Then each one's praise will come from God. Hey,

  229. you and I, we are not called to be judges.

  230. We're not called to look at somebody else and point

  231. fingers and point. You know you're wrong, you're wrong, you're wrong. Hey,

  232. you point someone you're wrong. Guess what I can see

  233. three fingers pointing in me? Because what makes us so great?

  234. The Lord actually asked me this question. You know, I

  235. think I shared this with you one day. I was

  236. walking the last time and he says, what's so great

  237. about your face? He actually asked me this question. I

  238. thought to myself, makes sense. I'm not that great. So

  239. what when you take care of those things, then it

  240. really doesn't matter. What matters is how somebody else is.

  241. What matters is whether somebody else is blessed. That's what matters.

  242. In Germany, it's so difficult to share or talk with

  243. people because they are so close it. You'll be nice

  244. to them. They are many suspicious of you. They're not

  245. used to people being nice to them. But you know,

  246. me being who I am, the mable being who she is,

  247. we can't help it lie, you know, So we find

  248. things to connect about. We go on the train and

  249. there's this man with his little dog. You know, he's

  250. so cute the dog was so I look this dog

  251. and I smile. Then I looked at him and said,

  252. do you mind if I pet the dog. You know

  253. what he told me. Actually, normally I will not allow

  254. people to but somehow I think it's okay for you.

  255. So I petted the dog, which is quite unusual. Okay,

  256. but we got into a nice conversation and in the

  257. end we gave him a cart. He was given a

  258. card invited for service connection. We found something to connect with,

  259. so we let God make his presence fell. The Bible

  260. says that when God judges it, when he judges, if

  261. he judges rightly, good things happen for us. So just chill, chill.

  262. You see something not right with the leader. You know

  263. that somebody over you chill. It's okay, It's okay because

  264. in due time God will reveal what if the person

  265. you dislike God approves. You find yourself on the wrong side,

  266. You don't want to rob yourself or blessings. Don't be

  267. like the enemy who find you know the enemy is

  268. always looking for the wrong in us. But you want

  269. to know something about Jesus. He always wants to catch

  270. us doing right. Isn't it lovely? Isn't it when you

  271. look at your child? Don't you want to catch your

  272. child doing something right? The moment you do? Why you celebrate. Yeah,

  273. let's go out for ice cream. No, okay, because you

  274. eat all ice cream? Is it? Yeah? But isn't it true?

  275. I mean, how many of us want are children to

  276. do wrong? Ah? You know, just waiting down there, catch

  277. them doing something we don't. Hey, let's get on board.

  278. Why does Paul do this? He says here, Therefore, judge

  279. not before the time until the Lord comes. Jesus is

  280. coming again. I believe he's coming again soon. God says,

  281. don't judge anything until I come, He who will both

  282. bring to light the hidden things of darkness. When Jesus comes,

  283. all things will be exposed and reveal the counsel of

  284. the hearts. So what you and I cannot see, what's

  285. in the heart, the presence of Jesus will expose. Then

  286. each one's praise will come. If you judged rightly, or rather,

  287. if you had the right feeling in your heart or

  288. the right attitude in your heart, the Lord will praise you.

  289. If the person did right, the Lord will praise him.

  290. If the person seem right in the eyes of many

  291. but did wrong, it will be exposed. Judge nothing before

  292. it's time. But I think the next light that word

  293. in my mind I don't know what it was, but

  294. they will receive praise from the Lord at the appointed time.

  295. So you got to forget that. W A H. I

  296. have no idea what that is. Okay, praise the Lord.

  297. So what was transferred to Paul? Do you know that Paul,

  298. if you read here in in verse six, now these

  299. things brother and I have figuratively transferred to myself and

  300. Apollos for your six that you may learn in us

  301. not to think what is beyond what is written. Guys,

  302. what was transferred to Paul? You know that Paul received

  303. something that that scripture said that he says was transferred

  304. to him. And this is why it's very important for

  305. us to treat your Christian leaders with great respect. Remember

  306. I'm talking about mature things. This is maturity. This is

  307. not about you know, a kid may not just like

  308. something for the sake of not liking it. Oh, I

  309. one day he comes, I don't friend you. Next day

  310. he comes, he friends me. You know, Ashley, when she

  311. was growing up, her most powerful weapon was I don't

  312. friend you. I don't friend you. Are angry with me,

  313. I don't friend you. So I got to recognize that

  314. was her most powerful weapon. But you see it. We

  315. have to realize that we can't be like that. Because

  316. Paul was saying, what was transferred to him was the

  317. Gospel message. And you can admit that where Paul was concerned.

  318. Also because remember Paul went around demon in Christians. He

  319. went around hurting them, He went around persecuting them until God,

  320. until Jesus appeared to him and changed his life. It

  321. was transferred to him the gospel message. You and I

  322. we have the Gospel message in us today. Today, I

  323. have been entrusted with the Gospel message. I'm sharing to

  324. you something that's difficult to share. It's difficult because anytime

  325. you talk about things that help mature us, it's not

  326. so easy. Cragnaut I was this guy talking, does he

  327. want something from us? I don't need anything from anybody.

  328. I'll be honest with you, but I want you to

  329. know it's for your own good, it's for your own benefits,

  330. for your own blessing. And in case you feel that

  331. it's not the case, there's another scripture. And this scripture

  332. is taken from Matthew ten forty one, and it says this,

  333. whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a

  334. prophet's reward. And whoever welcomes a righteous person as a

  335. righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward. You know

  336. what that means? Yours is the easier task. You know.

  337. A person who's got to share the word, he's got

  338. to search the scripture. Am I saying the right thing?

  339. Am I saying the wrong thing? He's got to know,

  340. he's got to pray. I got up this morning to

  341. pray for the message. You know, he's got to ensure

  342. that the anointing of the Holy Spirit is on the world.

  343. But all you got to do is be gracious to him.

  344. And guess what, you know, the reward he gets you

  345. also get. And let me tell you, for Asians, it's

  346. quite easier. It's quite easy to be nice. You are

  347. generally a nice people, very very easy to get along,

  348. very welcoming, very you know, friendly. So it's easy for you.

  349. I mean, you didn't have to get up early in

  350. the morning to pray for the message. You didn't have

  351. to search the script Am I doing the right thing?

  352. Am I saying the right thing? I'm saying the wrong

  353. You didn't have to do that. All you did was welcome. Hi.

  354. How are you so good to see you. You get

  355. the prophet's reward, you get the righteous men's reward. Have

  356. you ever seen that description? That way? God is fair?

  357. You know, you think to yourself, how come I don't

  358. have the ecolage? How come you know I'm not a

  359. big boss. How come I'm not a you know, big

  360. Christian boss. Get up there, share talking a lot of people. Hey,

  361. you got the easier you got the easier way. All

  362. you need to do is welcome dema, be nice to them.

  363. What they get you get. It's like this Islam. You know,

  364. it's like I have to study, I have to work.

  365. You know, it's like toiling and toiling and you know,

  366. working hard. If you're carrying weights, it's like carrying twenty

  367. pounds forty eight reps. Okay, okay, and then only you

  368. get one muscle growing, right, the reward. All you need

  369. to do is smile and say welcome, and your muscle

  370. already grew. Which one is easier? That's what Scripture is saying.

  371. The other thing was pausing spiritual insight and revelation. This

  372. was transferred to him, I'm giving you something that's going

  373. to help you go to the next level. Because a

  374. lot of us. Maybe we don't get the opportunity to

  375. stand up here and preach and talk like that. All right,

  376. but it really doesn't matter because someone was given an

  377. inside to help you, someone was given a revelation to

  378. help you. You want to go to the next level, Well,

  379. this is what's being shared, because none of us can

  380. go to a higher spiritual maturity unless we live to

  381. One Corinthians, chapter four, because it's still the word of God,

  382. and we rarely hear of it. We rarely hear one

  383. Corinthians for being shed spiritual inside and revelation. The apostlic

  384. authority and responsibility. Do you know that it's a big

  385. responsibility to share the word of God? And you know

  386. I've shared this with you before. None of us that

  387. share the word of God come up like we know

  388. it all in fact, arenasy? If you can see they're

  389. always knocking, they always because it's with fear and trembling

  390. that we come to deliver the word of God to you.

  391. Because if I am telling you the wrong thing, do

  392. you think I'm going to get away with it? Do

  393. you think the Lord who loves you will let me

  394. get away with sharing something wrong to you? You love

  395. your children? Do you think you will let anyone get

  396. away being harmful to your child. You will protect your children.

  397. And you better believe that everyone who comes here knows

  398. this and is afraid to share the wrong thing with you,

  399. because if they share the wrong thing with you, God's

  400. going to take them to task. And the Bible says

  401. it's scary to fall into the hands of the Lord.

  402. So in verse five, Paul focuses. Paul's focuses on God's

  403. role as the ultimate judge, not on any personal transfer

  404. of knowledge. You see, we tend to glorify the wrong thing.

  405. You know. The Corinthian Church glorified themselves in saying, Ah,

  406. I've got the gift of the Holy Spirit. I've got

  407. the gift of healing. They glorified in that they got

  408. I got this gift and that gift. Paul was correcting them,

  409. grow up, because it doesn't matter what gift you have,

  410. it's the quality of your spirit. In verse seven, it says,

  411. for who makes you differ from one another? And what

  412. do you have that you did not receive?

  413. Now?

  414. If you did not, Now, if you did indeed receive it,

  415. why do you boast as if you had not received it?

  416. You know what this scripture is saying. This scripture is

  417. saying that anything you have is received from God. So

  418. why do you boast? Are you a big deal kind

  419. of a person? Who's Who's the one who's giving the gift?

  420. It's God. We can never boast about anything. You know,

  421. if I deliver a word to you that I feel

  422. satisfied with her. The only thing I can do is

  423. when I go home, thank you Lord. You know that's

  424. my response, Thank you Lord. I believe that the word

  425. connected with the people. I believe that the people received it.

  426. I believe that the people gruesome, you know, they became

  427. more mature, they learn. That is the blessing that I get.

  428. Can I say, Can I ever go to God and say,

  429. you pick the right person? Man? I have to give

  430. the I can really talk up a storm. Don't you

  431. love the way I said it? You know if I

  432. talk like that, that will be the last time I

  433. come up here to share. God will handle me. Who

  434. is the blessing coming from? You? See? These people forgot it.

  435. Paul is essentially saying any uniqueness or distinction you have,

  436. any difference, you have, anything that you got, whether it's talent, wisdom, leadership,

  437. spiritual gifts. It's not you who made it, man, it's

  438. not you and I who made it. It's received from God,

  439. which makes a life very easy because if it comes

  440. from all God, we realize that this comes from God,

  441. it becomes so easy to rely on God for everything.

  442. And that's the way God wants it to be. Boasting

  443. is misplaced because what you're proud of you didn't earn.

  444. How can I boast I didn't earn it. You know,

  445. when you compare yourself against someone else, it's pointless because

  446. all gifts come from God. Do you know that there's

  447. no one gift that's better than another gift? Because what

  448. does the scripture say? All a received gifts so that

  449. you work together to edify the body of Christ. It's

  450. not a hierarchy of gifts. It is a gift to

  451. edify the church. If you've received the gift, praise the Lord.

  452. What's the reason for the gift? So that you make

  453. the church grow? You're lovely? You know there was a

  454. direct Do you know that that Paul was telling them off,

  455. He was rebuking them. He was rebuking the Korendian Church

  456. because it was you know what they were doing, They

  457. were forming cliques. They were forming groups Ah minus the

  458. better group. I got, you know, I got this passed

  459. on my side. I got that. You know, we're stronger. Hey,

  460. that's so silly, because I would rather be in a

  461. clique with God than being a click with men. So

  462. if I were you, you want to get into any clique,

  463. get in the click with God, and then you will

  464. find you don't need to be in a click with you.

  465. Just be nice to all of them. So it says

  466. here that they were forming cliques around different leaders and

  467. active superior based on who they followed. Paul flips the script.

  468. You are all recipients, not originators. Nothing you have you discovered,

  469. nothing you had you created. Who created it is God?

  470. So why act like you're better than someone else? Isn't

  471. it true? Guys? If you find the Lord has blessed

  472. your lot in life and you come up, maybe financially

  473. you've come up, Maybe commercially you come up, maybe in

  474. your standing in the community, that's all right. Don't look

  475. down on somebody else. Just give the glory to God always,

  476. because God is not a respector of men. He just

  477. respects your heart. He loved men, you should also love men.

  478. So the Bible says in verse eight, you're already full.

  479. Paul is telling them you're already full. Men, you are

  480. already rich. You have rayless kings without us. In other words,

  481. Paul is saying, even though I have not been present

  482. with you, you're doing quite well. And indeed I wish

  483. you did rain that we may all reign with you.

  484. But Paul was actually saying, you're glorying on that rain.

  485. You're thinking too highly of yourself. See, even I don't

  486. think like that. Paul is saying, even I don't think

  487. like that. So what did Paul say? They did? Paul say?

  488. They like nothing. He's actually mocking their self inflated view. Guys,

  489. the biggest way to destroy everything that God is helping

  490. you with is for you to think more highly than yourself.

  491. Then you should more highly of yourself than you should.

  492. This is something you must stay away from. Do you

  493. know who thought like that? Lucifer? Lucifer thought, Hey, I'm

  494. up there. I see the angels worshiping God. It looks

  495. pretty good. I look like a beautiful angel. I got

  496. wings as I'm even over the throne. Why don't I

  497. receive some of it? He thought more highly than he

  498. should and what happened He was kicked out of heaven. Guys,

  499. Paul was mocking their self inflated view. They believe they

  500. had everything. But Paul was actually being sarcastic. You got

  501. to you gotta admire Paul. Okay, he knows how to

  502. be sarcastic. He was actually telling them, you know, you

  503. don't have humility. He was telling the Corinthian Church, you

  504. don't have humility, you don't have spiritual maturity. And he's

  505. telling him, are you aware that you are dependent on God?

  506. He even adds ah, I wish you really did ream.

  507. In other words, he's saying you don't ream, you don't

  508. have all these things and power, saying I wish it

  509. could be true, but it's not. It was self declared. Hey,

  510. don't be a self declared king, because if you're a

  511. self declared king, you can end up doing the wrong things.

  512. You know who was self declared? Who self declared himself

  513. to be a priest? Do you know in scripture it

  514. was Saul king? Saul? What is what? What did the

  515. prophet tell him to do? Destroy everything, destroy the animals,

  516. don't keep what did he say? I'm not satisfied just

  517. being king. I want to be a priest. So what

  518. I'm going to do is I'm going to keep all

  519. these animals and I'm going to sacrifice it. And what

  520. did he do? He thought he was a priest, right

  521. he sacrificed it. And what did the prophet come and say?

  522. What's this bleeding or sheep? I hear? Because you did

  523. not obey me, the kingdom's taken away from you. Ah,

  524. what a shame. Paul's word reflects how easy it is

  525. to mistake spiritual gifts or status for spiritual depth. This

  526. is what I'm trying to get at you, and I

  527. must never look at the obvious. We have to look

  528. at a maturity. Are we matured Christians? Are we matured

  529. children of God? Or are we still babies in the

  530. way we think? If you have this sense of pride,

  531. I'm bettered at this person? Why should you be there?

  532. Do you know this is what we have faced before?

  533. All right, I'm better than you. Why should you be there?

  534. I don't recognize how you've been lifted up because I

  535. should be there. I'm better than you. Or you got

  536. to look out for that. If that's you, give it

  537. up to the Lord, because it is a blockage to

  538. everything that's coming your way. You've got to recognize the

  539. need to grow, because when you think too highly of yourselver,

  540. that means there's no more room to grow. And you

  541. got to align yourself with the suffering and services or

  542. service of Christ's apostles. You know, when you read the scripture,

  543. he's basically saying, all these people are so caught up

  544. with the blessings that they forget that the real servants

  545. of the Lord suffer to bring them the gospel, to

  546. bring them the truth. They're the ones who face the

  547. difficulties in the world because they have to speak up

  548. the truth. Guys, this message today is very difficult for

  549. me to share with you because this is not something

  550. that is. It is words of words and maturity are

  551. the most difficult things. It's so much easier to share.

  552. Oh God loves you, how are you today? God wants

  553. to heal. Those are nice things. But here we are

  554. talking about you want to get better in life. You

  555. have to change. I have to change. We have to

  556. do what's right. So Paul described sarcastically the Corinthian churches.

  557. Oh you already full. Actually they were full, you know what?

  558. They were full of they were full of themselves. Let's

  559. not be full of ourselves. Are we rich? What are

  560. we rich in? Are we rich in love? If they

  561. were rich in love, it would have been all okay.

  562. But instead, you know what they were rich in I'm

  563. better than you. Oh what a dangerous place to be.

  564. Reign like kings. I rule, man, I rule. You know

  565. how many of you have seen this v videos? These

  566. videos on on on TikTok or Facebook. They always come door.

  567. You don't ask for it where you know it's competition, right,

  568. like boxing or like mma or whatever it is. You

  569. never ask for it, but it comes and it will

  570. be one follow it so cocky, you calm down, go

  571. slap the guy in the face. And then the other

  572. guy is so quiet, And then when the competition actually starts,

  573. the follow just one guy gave whack. He's knocked down.

  574. We don't want to be like that, all right. We

  575. don't want to be thinking we are kings. Let God

  576. tell us we are kings. Let God come down judges

  577. and say, well done, my good and faithful servant. Enter

  578. now into the joy of the Lord. That's what we

  579. want to what we want to look for, that's what

  580. we hope for the Corinthian Church wore already acting like

  581. spiritual royalty. I'm coming to you, and okay, they're coming

  582. acting like spiritual royalty, boasting in their status, wisdom, and associations.

  583. Their ego was fed by the prime of human leaders.

  584. Paul is saying, you think spiritual greatness looks like status

  585. and comfort. Look again, spiritual greatness, Eh, it looks like suffering, servanthood,

  586. and sacrifice. There can be no glory unless there's suffering, servanthood,

  587. and sacrifice. Ego seeks recognition, comfort, and superiority, but godly service.

  588. I like this embrace us obscurity. You know what that means.

  589. Nobody knows who you are. Nobody knows who you are

  590. the service of the Lord. It's a lonely ask. Sometimes

  591. it's hardship, it's humility. But I want you to know

  592. in all this, if you read from verse fourteen onwards,

  593. Paul doesn't want to end with it seeming like it's

  594. all about rebuke. But what he wants to know is

  595. he wants them to redefine success in the light of

  596. the Cross. It's good to be successful. Nobody's arguing about that.

  597. It's good to have spiritual gifts. It's good to have

  598. a standing in the Kingdom of God, but you know how,

  599. you've got to view yourself in the light of the cross,

  600. meaning that how does Jesus want me viewed? How does

  601. Jesus want me to be received by the people? How

  602. should I behave with all the spiritual things that I

  603. have in my hands? That's what God is after. And

  604. do you know what That's what makes the difference between

  605. a matured Christian and someone who doesn't quite understand what

  606. God is looking for. So, guys, you know, I just

  607. want you to know that scripture today is a little

  608. bit different. I don't normally share something like this, but

  609. since the Lord spoke to me and said share from

  610. the Book of Corinthians, I can't avoid it. It's not

  611. the normal message that I would have loved to share.

  612. I can't avoid it. Guys, It's not difficult to do

  613. what's right. All we got to do is if you've

  614. forgotten everything that I told you today, just don't look

  615. at your service God's gift to Eartha, that's all. Look

  616. at yourself as a servant of the Lord most High.

  617. Look at yourself as someone who's there to help her.

  618. Look at yourself as someone who's in a position to

  619. bring joy to someone else. The moment you take your

  620. face out of the equation, what's so great about your face?

  621. The moment you take your face out of the equation,

  622. trust me, things become a lot easier. It becomes a

  623. lot easier to live as a Christian because it's not

  624. about you, it's not about me. It's about somebody else.

  625. And that's what Jesus is after, right, He's after somebody else.

  626. He's after that person on your left to the person

  627. in your right. He's after that person that doesn't know

  628. him because he wants them to receive him, to know

  629. him and to be saved.

  630. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
