The three piece of discipleship based on Paul and Titus relationship.

Okay, discipleship relationship. Okay.

So when the what three piece of dicipership came into

my mind for this title, I was like, okay, three

piece iter it helps. It brings my memory during my

college days. For those of you who started business or

marketing or management, you will learn about the three piece

of marketing.

Right how many of you remember or maybe now? No more?

Three piece?

Really no more? Okay, I don't know. Okay, my dinosaur Eerala.

Okay.

So the three piece of marketing, the three piece of

marketing is what it talks about the product, the price,

and the promotion.

Right.

Okay, so we all know what product is Okay. Product

is what you offered as a company.

Okay.

The price represents the value of the product, and for

you to sell the product, you need to have promotion

because promotion is a communication the messages to communicate the

message to the public so that people will buy your product.

Okay.

So marketing is actually to connect people to what a

company has to offer. Okay, But discipleship is to connect

people to who Jesus is. Right, So this three bit

of discipleship is to teach us how to connect people

to Jesus.

And that is our role as a believer. Okay.

So discipleship is very clear. I'm pretty sure all of

you by now will be you know, be very pro

in the terms discipleship, because that is a command that

Jesus has given to his follower.

Okay.

So when I was trying to, you know, find out,

you know, the definition of discipleship, I went to the

strong Confidence and all so usually strong concordance.

It will use the King James version.

So when I went, I read the King James version

from Matthew twenty eight, the last commanment, right, go therefore

and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father designed the Holy Spirit.

Okay, that is a new King James version.

But when I read the King James version, it says,

go ye therefore and teach all nations. So I try

to find we's the word discipleship, Bada, It's only the

word teach, okay.

And what is the meaning of teach? Okay?

Teach means to train to instruct, to make learners. That

is the purpose of teaching, Okay, to make learners. And

another word for disciples is learners.

Okay.

So we are commanded to teach, to teach about what

right is, to teach about the truth of Jesus.

So that is what we are called to do.

We are called to teach, to teach the word of God,

to teach the truth about Jesus, to teach people about

who Jesus really is.

Okay.

So come back to the marketing side, Okay, come back

to the world marketing side. So every company, every brand

dreams of creating loyal consumer.

Right.

Loyal customer means that people who once buy your brand,

they will forever buying your brand because why they believe

in your brand. So I'm pretty sure all of you

here are loyal to one brand, am I right? I'm

pretty sure because I know some of you, right, will

not wear any kind of shoes running shoes except Nike.

I know some of you, no matter how hot I

try to convince you to use Android, you will never

use Android, but only iPhone. Some of you will never

drink any chocolate drinks except my Low okay, And some

of you will not drink any coffee except okay I no,

some of you will not drink any types of coffee

except eg young I love egjng. Yeah, okay, yeah, So

those that drinks coffee will not know what is egjng.

This son is a tree in one coffee.

Okay? Now, why why are we so loyal to the brand? Right?

Why are you so loyal to certain brand? It's like,

no matter how I convince you to change, okay, It's

like how I convinced Joe a tomorrow bye bye bye

some some phone that okay, see might not. Okay, he

would not because he has used iPhone. He has tried iPhone,

and he knows and he trusted the brand. He experienced

it personally and that become part of his lifestyle. So

why we are so loyal to certain brand is because

we experience it personally. So now come back to Jesus.

Have we experienced him personally to the point that we

will say that no one else but Jesus? Will we

be so hartcore to Jesus that, no matter how much

the wind and the wave push your lives, you say

that no one else but Jesus. You can tell me anything,

but I will tell you no one else but Jesus.

You know, we don't just come to church every Sunday, listen,

be happy, and then go back. Loyalty means with believe

in Jesus so much that we will live out our

daily life without compromising him. You know, we won't say that, oh,

because this is inconvenient. Okay, today I pretend that I'm

not a Christian. That's compromise, right. We will be so

loyal to Him that we will lift out every single

day a life that reflects who Christ is in our

life without compromise.

And how can we do that.

Unless we have a personal encounter with Him with his love.

And we want others to see the I mean to

see Jesus.

In our lives so that they too can experience Him.

So when that happened, can you imagine how powerful that is?

Maybe some of you may be asking, why should I

you know, I mean, Chris, Christianity is just a religion.

Why do I want people to know? Let me tell

you that christian is not a religion. Christianity is a relationship. Okay,

So as a follower christ you know, as a follower

of Christ, we are not called to just attend it,

but do at once his kingdom by teaching and by

multiplying what we have received.

So Christianity is not.

A passive thing, but it's an active thing. We need

to teach, We need to multiply. And all of us here,

all of us, you and me, we are in the

Great Commission marketing plan.

Okay.

So all of you are in this marketing plan, whether

you like it or not.

Okay.

So I'm telling you you need to do your work

as a marketer okay, for Jesus okay, Not to share

a product, not to go out.

And just share that. Okay.

This Bible is so good, Yes, the Bible is good.

Not to just sell the Bible, but sell the author

of the Bible, to sell the person, to share the person.

Make sure you bring someone to Christn't ask the person

for money back.

Okay.

Share about Jesus to someone, Okay. And your job is

not to increase profit, but to multiply people.

Okay, multiply people.

That will do the same thing, that will continue on

to share the gospel.

Okay.

So we all know that marketing is to build brand loyalty,

but discipleship is to build spiritual legacy, to pass on

the value that you have caught from the world of God.

Okay, the faith that has grown through your work with God.

Okay, from the word that you have heard every Sunday,

every homes, every prayer service, pass on from one generation

to another. Don't say that that is the pastest job.

No, it's all our job. Okay. And how can we

do that? Okay?

And it all starts with my first p which is personal? Okay,

so we have to be personal. Discipleship begins with relationship.

Okay.

It begins with relationship. It begins with a connection. That's

why just now what I say it right, we when

we already experience who Jesus is in our life, it's

very naturally we will share what Jesus has done in

our life to someone. If you have just come and

you personally have not experienced the power of God you have,

you cannot share in a very convincing manner.

It's just like I always help you know.

People always tell me that, you know, Selena, if you

want to earn a lot of money, right, you should

go into sales. Or sometimes they will say that, wow,

you promote something so well, like you should go into sales.

But there I say that I can promote the things

that I use, So like, I can tell you black

coffee is very good because why I personally drank it.

If you ask me to promote Okay, what coffee have

I never tried before? Okay, whatever, Okay, So let's say

you ask me to promote a new brand coffee to

sell it to people. I cannot because why I'm not convinced.

Because maybe maybe.

John tried and Joe say, oh, this is very good.

So I will go to Joe.

I said, hey, Joe, you should try this coffee because

John say is very good, and then he will ask me,

have you tried?

No, then how should I you it's good.

Let's say, because John say it's good, then do you

think he will convince me.

What I say? He will not.

But if I personally have tried it, and I would

I tried it and I've bought it like so many

and you should try it.

Because why I'm convinced.

I'm hot core and I want him to try the

same thing that I have personally experienced it. So it's

just like come back to the relationship with Christ. I

myself personally experience the healing from God. That's why every

time when people come and share with me that, you know, Selena,

I feel so uh discouraged that I receive this health report.

I feel so you know, said, you know, why why

do I experience this? And I can very uh what

they can confidently say that let's pray because if Jesus

can heal me, Jesus can heal you.

Right.

That is because I personally have an encounter, I have

a connection. So this happership is not just a church

program that you hear, come attend and listen, okay, but

it's to build a connection.

With the living Savior.

So Paul himself, Apostle Paul himself has a strong encounter

and connection with Jesus. Right, all of us know, right,

his experience on the uh uh when when he met

Jesus on the road to I suddenly can remember what's

the name of the place. Yeah, okay, you're of eggs. Okay.

So he had an encounter with Jesus, all right, and

his life was transformed, right you all know.

Right, prior to him encounter with Jesus, who is he?

Who was he? Saul and what did he do?

He persecured every single believer of Jesus. Right, But after

his encounter with Jesus, what did he do? He go

all out. He went all the way to share the gospel.

He went all the way to make sure everyone knows

who Jesus is. He go all the way to the

point that he is willing to die for Jesus for

the purpose of advancing his kingdom. His encounter with Jesus

really let him far and white. So if you read

the whole book of Egs you were, you will notice

that you know the places that he went. So when

I was teaching in X case, right, we tried to

plot the men Paul when a lot of places are

when until it's like, you know, we also lost on

where exactly the places are. Some of the places is

like because they put like the country, big big name right,

some of the small small places that we have to

like find okay, because cannot zoom right, so we have

to find kay, where is the what the map? He

went to a lot of places why because he is

convinced that Jesus is real, because of his encounter, and

because of his encounter and his belief in Jesus, and

he went all the way he he is really he

was really the person that go to the outer parts

of the earth, okay, to share the gospel. And because

of that, many gentles became believer of Christ, and Titus

was one of them. Okay, Titus was a gentles that

became a believer. So Titus was an early church leader,

a trusted co worker of the apostle Paul, and a

faithful servant of the Lord.

Okay.

In Titus chapter one was four, Paul caused Titus my

true son in our common faith.

And this statement reveals.

That Paul must have a good and personal relationship with Titus,

and it also indicates that he was the one that

personally led Titus, who is a gentle to Christ. Okay,

So why Paul called Titus a true son of common faith?

So Titus is not actually Paul's sons by birth, but

his son true discipleship. And you know that Titus wasn't

just a follower of Paul, but he was a spiritual son.

So in this whole journey here we can see that

Paul wasn't interested in making converts. He's interested in making disciples.

So he didn't convert Titus and just left him.

As it is. Okay, he journeyed with.

Titus, he spent time to disciple him, and he raised him, okay,

teach him the way of the Lord. Okay, and he

journeyed together with Titus. But why does he have to

do that? He discipled Titus so that Titus can continue

on the work that Paul cannot do after he's being jailled.

Okay.

So that's the reason why Paul spends so much time

while he can do disciples Titus. So Paul didn't like

ask Titus, do you want to believe in Jesus that

to say yes, okay, And then Paul went his way

and okay, I'm discipling Titus. But Paul walking here, but

Titus is there and say that, oh I'm discipling Titus. Titus,

you know what to do, Okay, you do that, Okay,

you know who Jesus is, right, Okay.

Yeah, okay, you know what you need to do. Right.

But Paul is walking away leaving Titus behind. No, Paul

didn't do that. What Paul did was he bring Titus

along in his missionary journey. So you can read in

the Book of Eggs, Books of glationis Second Corinthians. Okay,

you will see pieces of tighter story in it that

you know that he was part of Paul's journey, okay,

in the missionary journey. Okay, So he walked together with Titus.

He bring him along to show him. So to do that,

you need to build relationship. So discipleship requires building of relationship.

It's not something that, oh, after I I bring this

person to Christ, ready, I just left that person.

To be No, okay, it is not recruitment.

Yeah, okay, like I mentioned just now, salvation is not

a recruitment. Okay, but it's a moment of impacting life,

because if you think it is just a recruitment, basically

you are impacting no one. All right, Okay, So next here,

I'm just going to yeah, read from Galicians, chapter two,

verds One to three.

Okay. Here it says that.

Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem

with Barnabas, and also took Titus with me, and I

went up by revelation and communicated to them that gospel

which I preached among the gentiles, but privately to those

who were of reputation, lest by any means I might

run or run in vain. Yet not even Titus, who

was with me, being a great was compelled to be circumcised.

Okay.

So you see here Paul bring Titus with him when

he was doing his missions in Second Corinthians, chapter seventh,

verse six to seven essays. Nevertheless, God, who comforts the downcast,

comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not only

by his coming, but also by the consolation with which

he was comforted in you when he told us of

your earnest desire. You're mourning your zeal for me, so

that I rejoiced even more.

So. You see that Titus was also in.

Corinthians, okay, which is also one of the places where

Paul planted churches.

Okay.

So Titus the sipership relationship was further strengthened when he

was drawn to ministry and become Paul's co worker, which

I mentioned just now.

They went together, okay.

And when he became a believer, Paul didn't say, hey,

you're still a new believer. You stay in the church,

sociary your Bible first, you know. Paul didn't say that,

but he brought into action, okay, brought him into action, okay,

and show him what missions is all about. And he

teached him okay, the gospel power okay, uh, through the

experience in the mission. So Paul didn't just preach to Titus,

he walked with him. Paul didn't just give him lesson,

he gave him life.

Okay. So before Titus became a church.

Leader in Creed okay, which is the whole uh three

chapters in the Book of Titus where where Titus become

the church leader in Crete, he first experienced Paul's love, true, correction,

and example. And their bond wasn't built on position or power,

It was built on personal relationship. So Paul himself personally

invested into Titus. And do you all know which which

another disciple of Paul that was quite well knownn Timothy.

Okay.

So if you read from first Timothy to Second Timothy

to Titus, write, you will notice that Paul really spent

a lot of time investing into Titus and Timothy, mentoring them,

correcting them, teaching them, encouraging them, and empowering them to

continue on the work that when Paul could not continue anymore.

Okay.

So when you when you read these two books, write

Timothy and Titus, okay, And then I tried to read

the Book of Filament because Philman is also written by Paul.

I only noticed that Titus and Timothy. Paul started the

letter with my true son, Philimma said my friend, because

you're okay, so my true son. So you see how strong, okay,

how strong the true relationship is. And then you and

you read on right, you will realize that Paul did

not start his letter by at that is this is

what you need to do. Didn't he encourage them first?

Okay? He showed love to them first. Show care means

that he acknowledged.

His disciple first before telling them what to do. So

this tells us that true discipleship isn't about downloading information.

It is not like you're in a company where your

manager as you do not Annabel, come into my room. Okay, Annabel,

this is what I need you to do point one

point two, point three point four. That is what a

manager will do, right, But that is not what a

discipler will do.

Okay. So he cares about Titus and Timothy. Okay.

Then only he tells us the things that he wants

them to do, and then comes with all the instructions

and all those whatnot. So discipleship is to develop transformation

of your life. Okay, And transformation can only happen when

there is trust. And trust comes from strong relationship that

were built, not overnight, but along the journey.

Okay. So think of a teacher.

You know, I'm a teacher, right, so I know how

a teacher should function. So if as a teacher, I

notice a student that is struggling in my classroom and

I just ignore that person, do you think that the

child will learn?

The child will not.

But imagine after class, I go and meet the child

one on one. I talk to the child, I find

out what is the struggle. I help the child go

at his own pace. I help the child to learn

his way whichever learning method that works for him, Okay,

and then I see the child excel. Imagine what will

happen to that child. The child will grow up saying that, Wow,

I get zero from my mats for one year, and

when teacher Selena come and teach me, I get fifty marks.

And ten years later he is still talking about that.

Twenty years later, he is still talking about that. Maybe

until he grew old. He will tell his children, his

grandchildren the same thing. Why did he remember only because

the maths grow up, or because he remembered the time

that's being spent helping him to improve. So remember, being

a teacher and being a discipler is the same.

We cannot say.

That I come, I just share, and then I don't

know any one of you, and then I.

Say, yay, I've impacted every partner.

In exambump and then I got missing for one year,

because why there's no relationship being built, and that will

not be called discipleship. That is just called I come here,

Okay, So that is what Paul did for Titus.

He built impactful relationship, impactful discipleship. And that is what

Jesus did with the Twelve. Jesus spent a lot of

time with the twelve disciples, right, and that's what true

discipleship should look like, like what Paul did, like what

Jesus did personal relational life on life. So because Paul

himself personally experienced it with Jesus, right, he was able

to teach Titus about Jesus and allow him to have

the personal relationship with Jesus as well. Okay, Paul, he

didn't disciple titles from a distance, but he discipled him

from the heart. And what Paul did was a reflection

of what Jesus did. So that's why Paul can very

confidently say this, you know, imitate me as I imitate Christ,

because why he is doing exactly what Jesus did. So

can we say that we are able to do the

same as well? Maybe we will even as discipleship must

build relationship, But wh I got nothing better to do?

Me?

Always remember the relationship that we built is not because

we want to build you know, a great number of friends.

Looking at my Facebook, wa, I got ten thousand friends,

not flower friends, for I'm so friendlier. No, you know,

we want to build relationship so that we can pass

on the word of God.

We can pass on.

The Gospel, we can pass on the faith so that

it can continue to pass on and pass on and

pass on, that many people will know the word of God,

will know who Jesus is. Okay, and that lets me

do the second part practical.

To be practical and dicipership happens in daily life, not

just in church. Okay, thecipership is not only on Sunday.

Discipleship is from Monday to Sunday, twenty four seven. Why

to disciple someone and out of the blue, at one am,

you receive.

A phone call. I need you to come to the

police station. Now.

It happened to me before. Okay, out of the blue.

can you come to the hospital now.

Like what happened? I want to keep both ready, nobody

thinking care of my child. Okay, okay, I'm coming now,

I'm coming now. Discipleship right, but we we need to

build relationship.

Okay, maybe to you it's like go hospital, go, go,

go policician. What I got to do with discipleship? He's

doing life. We're doing life together.

So that we can impact because imagine Jesus is here today.

That is what Jesus will do. Right, So the cipership

doesn't end with just relationship. It has to move on

into real life. Okay. So Paul didn't just love Titus.

He trained him, he trusted him, He sent him right,

So in titles chapter one, verse five, Okay, so this

is the job. After calling him the true son, telling

him what uh you know, uh, encouraging him and all

this whatnot, he said this for this reason, I left

you in crete that you should set in order the

things that are lacking and appoint elders in every city

as I commanded you.

Okay.

So we know that Titus was left behind in Creed, Okay,

to do a job. He's a trouble shooter, remember, so

he has to trouble shoot create.

Okay.

So this was an unfinished job by Paul, and Paul

need Titus to continue on.

Okay.

Just not mentioned right why Paul disciples Titus is so

that Ditters can continue on the job that Paul could

not finish. Okay, it's not because Paul want to go holiday.

Okay.

If you read, you'll realize that Paul after that got

called house arrest and all that he cannot continue to travel.

So someone has to do the work.

So prior to Titus being sent to Create, he was

at Corne Okay. So he was sent to Koren to

handle severe church problem. So I I went and read

about these two places Korin and Creed both and not

easy place, you know.

So Courine is a place.

That is very massive division. They has a lot of

uh what they call that own ideology of how Christianity

life should be like, how church would be like. And

then they favor the very famous preacher and then they

say that Paul, your poor person, you go away.

You know.

It's a lot of massiveness there. And then Titus will

sent there to handle the problem, okay. And why Paul

chose Titus to do that because of his maturity, of

his tactfulness and his faithfulness. And how does Paul know

that Titus is matrid, tactful and faithful. It's because they

have been through the journey together.

Okay.

So because of what Titans have achieved in Corn. So

now Paul chose him to oversee the churches in Crete

and Creed is no easy place, all right. So cret

is a place that is known for moral corruption okay.

And then they are also known to be liars.

Okay. So who wants to go to a place and

settle issue like that? Right to you? Is that for example,

So you realize that Paul's discipleship relationship right with titles

and even fultimity. He never shield them from heart tasks.

He never said that, huh creates so difficulty? Maybe now

mind life, I try to avoid being caught and then

I go set the first No, he didn't. He didn't

spoonfeit them, he didn't shield them, but he prepared them

and empowered them for the work that needs to be done.

So this shows that discipleship includes delegation and trust. So

if you are discipling someone, don't shield them too much.

Or if you are being discipled by someone and you're

being challenged to do hard tasks.

Don't say that, my discipler don't love me as being

to do difficult things.

Don't say that, okay, because why this is to prepare you,

and you are being empowered to do something greater for

the Lord.

Okay.

So in Second Corinthians, chapter seven, verse five to seven, okay,

I took this scripture from the Message translation. It wrote here,

when we arrived in Macedonia Province, we couldn't settle down.

The fights in the church, and the fear in our

hearts keep us on pins and needles. We couldn't relax

because we didn't know how it would turn out. Then

the God who lifts up the downcast lifted our heads

and our hearts. With the arrival of Titus. We were

glad just to see him. But the treasure, the true reassurance,

came in what he told us about you, how much

you cared, how much you grieved, how concerned you were

for me. I went from worry to tranquility in no time.

So this is written by Paul to say that when

Titus went to the churches in Korne, okay, he saw

the changes. Okay, he saw the changes. He helped to

bring the letters from Paul to them. He helped to

realign the whole church Okay, and the people that welcome him.

Okay. So that is the word that Titans did in Krine. Okay.

So this confidence that Paul have on Titus can only

be found because of the strong relationship.

And know that Paul didn't teach Titus with just words,

but working side by side Okay. Titles learn how to counsel,

learn how to manage conflicts, learn how to handle opposition,

and build church leadership by observing Paul.

During their work together. So when you.

Are with your discipler or when you are being discipled,

don't just follow and then do nothing. Observe, learn and

then be in wolf. And that is how you can grow.

And then when when when you go back to first Titus,

uh chapter one, verse five, it says that I left

you in creed right a lot. That's wee will think

that what alzle evil one abandoned Titus behind to the mess.

Remember that that is not abandonment, that is empowerment.

Okay.

He gave Titus now the opportunity to apply. Before this,

he just learned my learned Okay. He applied a bit

in Creed to do what he has been taught. Okay.

And discipleship grows stronger when faith moved from theory to practice.

So in titles Chapter twoards eleven to fifteen, he says

that for the grace of God that brings salvation has

appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and

worldly last, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in

the present age, looking for the blessed, hope and glorious

appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who

gave himself for us that he might redeem us from

the lawless deed and purify for himself his own special

people zealous for good works.

Then this is what he needs to do.

Speak these things, exhort and rebuild with all authority. Let

no one despise you. Wow, such a tough job, right

that he has to teach, very tough. If you ask me,

will I dare to do that? I would tell maybe

you sent him Atila. Okay, yeah, so in the present time,

maybe our maybe you sent him.

And Titus has to model it out. Okay, he has

to model it out. But how can he model it

out unless he learned it from Paul himself and he

what we have learned and not keeping.

So it is one thing to learn about grace. It's

another thing to show grace to difficult people. It is

one thing to learn about the world of God. It's

another thing to live the world when life gets hard.

So are we ready to lift out the word that

we have been hearing every single Sunday?

Let me tell you it's not easy. It's difficult. Even

for me.

I find it a challenge. But every day I told

her Lord, please forgive me. I tried my best to

hold my temper, but my face just don't want to obey.

Okay.

So it's difficult, but we still have to put into practice,

and it's not based on our own strength, but it's

based on God. And apart from depending on God, who

can we depend on our discipler.

Our discipler will teach you, okay.

Our discipler will teach us the right way, will teach

us the right word. Our discipler will be the one

that not your way while your face are that today.

Oh sorry, right, okay. So that's why our journey with

Christ is never a solo journey. We always need someone

with us to work with us.

Okay. So we need to be active. Okay.

True discipleship is not grown through perfection, is grown through participation.

You grow truth serving, You grow through trying. You grow

through failing, and then you try again under the guidance

of your discipler.

So Paul gave Titus the tools, which is the scripture,

the truth, the opportunity, and then Paul said, now go

and build and Titus when okay, So remember that discipleship

isn't meant to be theoretical isn't meant to be collecting

sermon gay books after books, writing all the sermon notes.

But whatever that you have written, have you lifted up?

You need to lift it up.

We weren't merchant in our faith by just staying in

the classroom, which is the church for walls. But we

learn through crisis. We don't learn through comfort, but we

learn through calling. So Paul didn't protect Titus from challenges.

He prepared him for the challenges.

So remember that.

Discipleship equips you to face life, to lead others to

keep growing. And because of equipping a discipleship, Titus was

able to leave it out.

So let me share with you that you know I

wouldn't be.

Where I am today if it's not because of discipleship.

You know I will not be.

A church coordinator. I will not be a preacher. If

you ask me, if given a choice, what will I do?

I would rather be a back ventchure, sit down, listen

to sermon, go home and do my things and then yay,

be happy with it. But God has other plan. I

was being disciples since the day I stepped into ex

church by pasta Sarah. Okay, for those of you who

know who Pasasarah is. She is the children's ministry pastor. Okay,

y'all won't see her because she is based in Subanjaya

ten thirty. Okay, everyone who knows me before this is

they will say that Selena is like a wild horse

without rain. She just do everything that she wants to do,

and she would not listen to people because why, I

grew up learning to fend for myself.

Okay, I learned. I grew up being taught to be independent.

I grew up. You know, when people bully me, I

will retaliate ten times, you know.

So this is I wouldn't say her very proud of it,

but this is something that I always tell people when

people ask me.

You know, you always travel everywhere alone. Have you ever

been bully? Yes? By who? By the guys in my school?

So what did you do? I take up the broom

and chase them. I wake up. This is what I do.

Am I proud of it? No? But well, at least

I learned to take care of myself. I'm safe. Okay,

So I'm no victim of bully. I think the bully

is a victim of my reg Yeah.

So this this is how I'm taught I learned to

defend myself. So because of that, I grew up being

a very strong character person, very very strong. So when

I came to X, X is very big on discipleship.

Okay.

When I came to X, all the leaders started asking me,

do you want to be disciples?

No? Do you want to be discipled? No? Do you

want to be discipled? No?

Why be disciples? I have to tell you everything about

myself line. No, I'm not going to tell you everything

about myself. Right, But God has another pen.

Okay.

God challenged me to say yes to discipleship. Okay, and

I went into a discipleship relationship with Pasa Sarah. I

guess she had a very hard time dealing with me

because a stubborn person like me is not easy to

talk sensus into me. But she did, okay. And what

she did was she challenged me. Okay, she encourages me.

She walked with me through my apps and down okay,

and she entrusted me. You know, after a period of time,

when we build ex kids together, we need leaders.

And she called me one fine day, Selena, I need

you to lead a team. And all of you will know.

My first answer is no, Okay, yo, no fy no.

Selena loved the word no a lot. Okay. I said, no,

what do I have in me to lead a team?

But she said that you can. And then I said, okay,

look we feel and tremble. I led a team. And

guess in my team, all my teammates are people that

are very smart, very strong.

Character, people who knows the Bible from cover to cover,

can just pluck scripture from the air just like that.

Okay.

And some of the people that is in my team

like are like who like Pastor Jack, our ex cyber coordinator. Okay,

and then yeah, you see, all these people are.

Very smart people. And who am I? The Bible? The

probably the only Bible that I The only book that

I know in the Bible is the Book of Genesis

because I read it over and over and over over again.

And then I have to lead the team to run

x kids I fear, but with the disciple ship, with

the guidance.

Just like how poor led Titus I was led to lead.

I was led to talk with maturity, okay, with guidance,

and that is how I grow from a small team

leader to become a host leader, to now become a

church plan coordinator.

It is not.

And O when I think suddenly they say that, oh

I'm bank God, no coordinators, Selena, No. But it's a

discipleship journey. It's a lot of correction, a lot of pruning,

a lot of training. So everything that you.

Know discipleship that our leaders do in this church, is

it because they've.

Got nothing better to do. No, It's all for a purpose, okay.

And that's bring me to my last point. Purpose purposeful

discipleship carries a mission that points people back to Jesus.

So why am I trained to be a leader in

this journey so that I can continue to bring people

back to Jesus In the journey of me discipling the

girls that is under my care is also to train

them into maturity so that they can also bring others

and point others back to Jesus. So maybe you have

come into you know, ex church for for a while now,

and you you guys might be thinking that you know

why every Sunday or the preachers keept talking about discipleship, discipleship,

recipership right because why the discipleship is important. We will

not stop talking about it until everyone get it, until

everyone wants to be part of this discipleship relationship with someone.

So remember the discipleship isn't just a random thing that

we pluck out from the teen air.

It is biblical. It is written in the in the

Book of Matthew.

Okay, So we want to train people with an intention

to bring the gospel far and whye.

Okay, So poor.

Disciple Titus with a purpose, not not convenience. He didn't

sol so much into titles just to make him a helper,

but he make him a person that will be able

to lead others.

He makes him a herald.

And he didn't invest in titles so that he can

live a comfortable life, but for continuity, so that the

mission will continue beyond him, to bring the message of

salvation to many, and to teach other people to live

a godly life, and to help others grow closer to

the Lord.

And the cycle repeats.

Okay, So every letter that Paul wrote, you will notice

that all with the purpose of bringing back bringing people

back closer to Christ.

Okay.

So in titles chapter two, verse eleven to fourteen, just

now we mentioned I read to all of you, is

that Paul is reminding Titus that grace is not passive.

Grace doesn't just save us, it shapes us. Okay.

Grace trains us to live holy, to live humbly, and

to live hope full until Christ. So decipleship becomes empty.

If we stop knowing the truth. We must move towards

showing the truth, which is Christ Jesus. All right, So

what is our role here? Why is there a commandment

for us to make disciples? It is so that the truth,

the Word of God, can be passed from one person

to another, from one generation to another, until the earth

be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,

as the water covers the sea. Okay, all of us

have a purpose. I tell you, if you look around

you today, I can I can guarantee. I can confidently

say that maybe four out of ten of your friends

a non believer. Maybe some of us have more Christian

friends than non Christian friends. Some of us have more

non Christian friends than Christian friends. That means that you

have a work to be done. The race isn't over.

Thecipership is like a passing the beiton. Okay, thecipership is

like a relay race, passing the beton. We are supposed

to pass the beton from one person to another, and

the race isn't over yet. So once upon a time

someone passed the beiten passed the gospel to you. So

why are you keeping the beiton to yourself? You need

to start running, You need to pass it forward. You

need to start making more disciples. So all of us

has a Titus somewhere waiting to be reached. Or maybe

today you are the Titles and you need a pall

to disciple you.

What is your action plan? What are you going to

do next?

If you are a poor looking for a Titus, don't

wait for the Titans to come and look for you.

Go and look for the Titus and start to disciple.

Maybe your Titus may not be a believer yet, start

from point negative and bring the person to point zero

to say that yes, I want Jesus to be in

my life, and then grow the person to repeat the

cycle again.

Or maybe you are the titles.

You have been coming to church for very long, and

you thought that I come to church to check off

my Christian checklist. Sunday must go to church. No, coming

to church is not for you to take off your checklist.

Coming to church is for you to hear the word

of God. Grab all of it and be the doer

of the world. So if you feel that you know

you alone can't discipline yourself, you know, to live out

the word, go and find a poll to disciple you

so that you can continue to do what you're called

to do.

In factest chapter three was eight and fourteen.

Here it says, this is a faithful saying, and these

things I want you to affirm constantly that those who

have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works.

These things are good and profitable to men. So you

need to be affirmed constantly. And then what's forty It says,

and let our people also learn to maintain good works

to meet a jour needs that they may not be unfruitful.

So that's why we are all in the process of learning.

We need our discipler to disciple us, and we also

need to disciple our disciple.
