  1. You're listening to a message to go from ex Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. To Luke chapter nineteen. Okay, Luke, chapter nineteen. We're gonna

  4. read and we're gonna see where God brings us. I

  5. hope you guys are okay. You know, I pray you

  6. guys are fine. And if I've offended you in any way,

  7. I apologize.

  8. It's definitely not me. It's holy spirity.

  9. Okay, anyway, I think I have that that tendency people. Yeah, yeah,

  10. it's the face lad my wife says the eyebrows look

  11. to garrang. Okay, let's read God's word. Okay, Luke chapter nineteen.

  12. Are you guys there only decide?

  13. Decide? Not yeah? Are you guys sayre okay, reluctantly but

  14. well done?

  15. Okay, reluctantly but well done. Then Jesus entered and passed

  16. through Jericho. Now behold there was a man named Zachias

  17. who was a chief text collector, and he was rich,

  18. and he sought to see who Jesus was, but could

  19. not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.

  20. I'm not gonna ask any of you feel like that, Okay,

  21. I'm sure not. Okay, so you're honesty. Sorry, the expect that.

  22. I was gonna say that.

  23. It's very interesting that the Bible actually wrote that he

  24. was short loved. Of all the things, the Bible was

  25. that he is shot. Okay, am I so did he do?

  26. He ran ahead climb up into a sycamore tree to

  27. see him, for he was going to pass it away.

  28. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up

  29. and saw him and said to him, Zacchias, make Hayese,

  30. come down, for today I must stay at your house.

  31. So he made hate and came down and received him joyfully.

  32. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying he

  33. has gone to be a guest with a man who

  34. is a sinner. Then Zakias stood and said to the lord, Look, Lord,

  35. I give half of my goods to the poor, and

  36. if I've taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I

  37. resolved for for Okay, we're gonna stop there. Okay, how

  38. many of you can relate to this story?

  39. None of you? Right?

  40. Because I asked another question. How many of you know

  41. a text collector here? How many of you are text collector?

  42. You work for LHDN anyone, anyone, no one. If you

  43. are so, you probably won't admit LA. Okay, right, so okay,

  44. let me give you an encouragement. We read this, and

  45. I kind of don't like to use the word story

  46. because because sometimes when we read the Bible and we

  47. take it like a storybook, you know, you say, oh,

  48. it's a story, it's a parable. Not everything is parable.

  49. Now I want to let you know that this is

  50. historical fact because it actually happened. There's actually a guy

  51. named that yeas, and there's actually a guy named Jesus,

  52. like if you didn't realize, and it's not just a

  53. story that feels good, it's not a moral I kind

  54. of don't like saying it that way because if we

  55. read it as a storybook, that's not really accurate. If

  56. you read it as a history book, it is also

  57. not accurate.

  58. Okay. If you read it as.

  59. A encyclopedia and science book, it is also not accurate.

  60. The Bible was not written for all those things. Do

  61. you know what the Bible was written for. The Bible

  62. was written for us to show us a way. It

  63. was written through the span of a thousand or years

  64. and compact, and it still makes sense.

  65. You know how hard that is. That's how you use that.

  66. We use that evidence as a way to say God

  67. is the one that wrote the Bible. Men wrote inspired

  68. by God. Okay, and a lot of things we read here.

  69. It is very important to know what or how are

  70. we reading it, because if you're reading it at a

  71. history book, then we're going to scrutinize it as a

  72. history book.

  73. You'll get that.

  74. If you're reading it as a as a storybook, then

  75. we will take it as a storybook that is optional

  76. to follow or not.

  77. You see what I mean.

  78. So that's how we read storybooks. Right, feels good? Inspired?

  79. H I have options to follow or don't follow. And actually,

  80. because this moral don't really don't relate because I just

  81. ask you a question, how many of you relate?

  82. None of you relate?

  83. Because if you actually relate to it, then you're like, yeah,

  84. I get it, I'm gonna follow it. Okay, So let

  85. me help you all today to try and relate because

  86. this thing actually happened.

  87. Right, have you seen a sycamore tree before?

  88. No? Right?

  89. Probably not? Right? Don't know? Text collector right?

  90. Anyway, If you are, we still love you, Okay, Okay,

  91. I want you to imagine, can can we can we

  92. do like a little like like a little activity, can

  93. or not?

  94. Okay?

  95. Knowing you cross your eyes, but if you're cross your eyes,

  96. you can imagine this person in your life right now.

  97. And I'm sure all of you have this person in

  98. your life that you really really do not like. It

  99. can be a family and member. It's okay, you just

  100. don't like you love the person.

  101. You don't like the person.

  102. Every time I see the person, you're just so like, man,

  103. I can't stand you, cannot understand you being in the

  104. same room. Okay, think about this person. Okay, and now

  105. think about this person. And this person is short. I

  106. know you can't imagine something you're like, Oh but it's short.

  107. Not just short.

  108. Now the in in Chinese use the word young sway,

  109. and you understand that cannot see the phase one you

  110. look at the face, you feel like you're.

  111. A wagged person.

  112. Imagine this person zach Yus was his person, not just

  113. that his day job is a job nobody likes.

  114. Let me let me give you some background.

  115. In those days, the Romans were in occupation right and

  116. one of the ways where they try to I mean,

  117. I mean when you take over. Something is all about economy, money, right,

  118. So they want to collect Texas lat So instead of

  119. they collect themselves, what they do is they appoint key

  120. people within the community that is part of the community

  121. to do the text collection.

  122. And one of the reasons why nobody likes.

  123. Text collectors those days was because it is by a percentage, okay,

  124. So they will asked the text collector to collect a

  125. certain amount and a percentage of that text goes to

  126. the text collector.

  127. Ah.

  128. Now you know they don't like him, right because they

  129. will shave a bit off for themselves.

  130. Who wouldn't do that?

  131. And the thing is the text collector have to decide

  132. because the text collectors were the one talking on behalf

  133. of the Roman Empire.

  134. You know, you get me. No, they're not just workers.

  135. No, they're the ones means if you cross them wrongly,

  136. they can get you in jail or if you didn't

  137. pay them enough. You're like, hey, hell come the moment

  138. you question them, you get in trouble and think about it.

  139. They're still part of the community, you know, and very rich,

  140. and you see them building their houses more and more.

  141. You won't be happy. I'm sure some of you as

  142. I'm sharing this. You're thinking about someone ready, right, you're

  143. thinking about someone ready? Think about it? Right this person?

  144. If this person were to come to x umbank today,

  145. will you be friends?

  146. Sye? Him will be friend? See them?

  147. Think about it? This person that really don't like? But

  148. what did Jesus say when Jesus came to the place.

  149. He looked up and saw him and said to him, zaccheus,

  150. make haste and come down for today.

  151. I must stay at your house. Wah.

  152. I just describe someone that you really don't like that

  153. you can think of, but Jesus say he must go

  154. and hang out and see Heah?

  155. Okay, can I ask you another question? Can you respond? Please? Please? Please?

  156. How many of you here know Jesus?

  157. Ready?

  158. You are safe?

  159. You receive Jesus as your personal and say, well, just

  160. raise up your hands. I can see Okay. If you

  161. have not yet after this, please when we give the

  162. savageant call, I hope that you will respond. Okay, friends,

  163. you are safe? Reday right, Okay, let me read on. No,

  164. so he made Hayes came down and receive him joyfully.

  165. When they saw it, they all complained, saying he has

  166. gone to be a guest with a man who is

  167. a singer. Thinking about it, Jesus came, he didn't want

  168. to hang out with you. He going hang out with

  169. his person. Wouldn't you say the same thing? Ah, Yallah,

  170. go to the pasa, you know, never even come hang

  171. out my house. Never can't chill me go and hang

  172. out in money?

  173. Huh? I pray every day. I surf you every day. God? Right,

  174. and then Jesus go visit him, not visit you. You're

  175. not jealous? Are you so jealous? Right?

  176. He's going to be a guest. And then now it's like, yah,

  177. stood up, not all this pepad right?

  178. Lord? Look, I will give half I goes to the poor.

  179. And if I've taken anything from anyone by false accusation,

  180. I restore for full.

  181. Okay. How many of you like me? Okay?

  182. Maybe you're not like okay, I would think like that

  183. would go sure? Not you say, younila, now you give

  184. four four later you will collect back from me?

  185. Right?

  186. How many of you will assume like this person is

  187. like that? You know, the old dog can't change his tricks, right, right?

  188. The person is so nonsense? Ready you probably think that way.

  189. But what did Jesus say and Jesus said to him today,

  190. Salvation has come to this house because he is also

  191. a son of Abraham. For the son of Man has

  192. come to see and to say that which was lost. Okay,

  193. let me let me make a very controversial statement. A

  194. lot of you here that raise your hands just now

  195. and say you accepted Christ. You're found ready, right, corrac not?

  196. Are you found ready? Are you found ready? Jez didn't

  197. come for you?

  198. Huh what do you mean by that? But it was sinner?

  199. Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah you are. But but your found ready? Ma,

  200. it's not a true question. Now, Yes, Jesus came for you,

  201. but you're found ready.

  202. Man.

  203. Now, so shouldn't he go and catch those that are lost?

  204. Shouldn't we go and catch those are lost? Let me

  205. read the story to all of you, because it says here,

  206. what did Jesus come do this earth to do?

  207. Okay?

  208. And I'm assuming all of us here we are follows

  209. of Christ, so we should have his heart in our lives, right,

  210. because He's say it in Luke nineteen ten. For the

  211. son of Man has come to seek and to save

  212. that rich was lost. So he came to see and

  213. say that which was lost, for those that are gone

  214. for homes. Remember the last chapter about the live saving station.

  215. And since a lot of you here don't go to homes,

  216. I'm guessing you don't know the story. I'll read the

  217. story to you today, Okay, he says, here the life

  218. saving station on a dangerous sea coast, and I will

  219. try my best to act this out because I got pressured,

  220. you know, right. Yeah, anyway, I wrote the script for

  221. Christmas and I'm co directing with another cligula. Okay, so

  222. please come, you know, and yeah, you know, also invite

  223. people to come, because Christmas is one of the best

  224. times to get people to come to church. So you've

  225. been prayed for someone who's nonbelievered for a long time,

  226. or you know, you really want to reach out to

  227. your friends, Just invite them and come la, you know,

  228. invite them, come, and hopefully they will have a good time.

  229. You know. It's okay.

  230. They don't get saved by Christ yet on their day,

  231. because the Holy Spirit works in their lives.

  232. But at least they came to church.

  233. At least they walked in right, all right, Okay, So

  234. he says, yeah, on a dangerous sea coast where shipwrecks

  235. often occur, there was once a crude little life saving station.

  236. The building was just a hut and there was only

  237. one boat. But a few devoted members kept a constant

  238. watch over the sea, and we know thought for themselves

  239. when out there, and Knight tirelessly searching for the loss.

  240. Some of those who were saved, and various others in

  241. the surrounding are wanted to become associated with a live

  242. saving station and give their time and money and effort

  243. to the support of his work.

  244. New boats were bought and new cruise train.

  245. The little Live Saving Station grew right like here x

  246. Umbund Live Saving Station.

  247. And then some joined recently.

  248. Maybe the people are friendly, maybe you know, they got help,

  249. maybe people pray for them. Maybe prior to this, you know,

  250. unfortunately the old church or old place that you were from,

  251. you know, either got a problem or hurt or you know,

  252. don't care enough.

  253. And then come here.

  254. Then people care, right, and then you join, and you're like, man,

  255. I want to serve some of us here you say, oh,

  256. I want to serve. I want to I like what

  257. I see. I want to participate. Right, and the little

  258. Life Saving Station grew. Some members of the life Saving

  259. Station were unhappy that the building was so crude and

  260. fully equipped. Well, I you know, in PJ it was hot,

  261. but in here not very hard to find problems are

  262. see how come god, it's not even the front.

  263. Noise the bag? No did you flipp it that a way? Right? Then?

  264. Where the flog got so many you know, strings and all.

  265. So crude, so poorly equipped, and they felt a more

  266. comfortable place to be provided as the first refuge. Hey,

  267. we want to save people. Are must look good? No,

  268. cannot be come here? Then you know, sell them stuff,

  269. rebate you know myself, Jesus right so much. We sure

  270. got big big cross there. Everybody must wear big cross. Right,

  271. so they see cross, they come first time they see

  272. cross right.

  273. Right.

  274. They replaced the emergency costs with bits. Isn't it a

  275. good thing? This chair is not comfortable enough? Flower knit?

  276. Oh Siam chair?

  277. Whow why really you put O Siam chair here? Everybody

  278. sit down? Imagine how many O Siam chairs are there?

  279. A lot like kay?

  280. Or maybe change it to a sofara. Okay.

  281. They replaced emergency costs bits and put better furniture in

  282. the large building.

  283. Now the Live.

  284. Saving Station became a popular gathering phrase for all its

  285. members wouldn't you all like to hang on a chest

  286. of that?

  287. Right?

  288. Nice seats, got coffee, got osiam chair, I will come, right,

  289. we all come. And they decorated the beautifully some more

  290. wall furnished it excluisically because they use it as sort

  291. of a club. Fewer members were now interested in going

  292. to see on live saving stations of the body. He

  293. thir team, I should lah, I want to go out?

  294. A miss is so far?

  295. Right? It's so far? Actually?

  296. How far is it from here? Ten minutes? Fifteen minutes,

  297. fifteen minutes? Father, five minutes? Only you know, if I

  298. want to help people better, I work out and help

  299. and come back.

  300. Ma.

  301. See even Seria agrees to me.

  302. The life saving motive still prevailed in their club's decorations,

  303. and there was a miniature lifeboard in the room where

  304. the club's initiations were helped.

  305. Right about this time, a large.

  306. Ship was wrecked off the coast, and the high crews

  307. brought in cold and how drownd people.

  308. Oh, I think I missed something. Oh.

  309. Fewer members were interested, so they hired lifeboard crews to

  310. do the work. Let's just hire a few full time

  311. workers that got God's calling. Their life to do the

  312. work man. Why must we all do.

  313. Ends or not? It's very ironic. I'm saying this can

  314. sign full time.

  315. Just hire my pastor, Elvin Pasta right, full time, right,

  316. just to let you know, I'm a lay minister. I'm

  317. not higher as a pastor. I'm hiring something else. So

  318. I got two jobs. Right about this time, a lunch

  319. ship was strapped off the course and the hired crews

  320. brought in bottlers of cold, wet, half brown people. They

  321. were dirty and sick. The beautiful new club was in chaos.

  322. So the property committee, Wow, do you have a property

  323. committee here, Ampa, God. Property committee immediately had a shower

  324. house built outside the club where the victims of shipwreck

  325. could be clean up before coming inside, because here also nice.

  326. Today.

  327. They were dirty the same chess, so they better go

  328. outside and shower office. We put it in the budget

  329. so they shower before they can come in there. Don't shower,

  330. cannot come in here. At the next meeting, there was

  331. a split in the club membership. Most of the members

  332. wanted to stop the up life saving station activities since

  333. they were unpleasant and a hindrance to the normal social

  334. life for the club. Y'allah selina. We keep going to

  335. our reach. Right, where got time for ourselves? We must

  336. celebrate more birthdays, you know, mo, But my father's birthday,

  337. my mother's to day, my grandmother's birthday.

  338. Right, we must celebrate all these things. Wrong, we're going

  339. out for no point. Right. We should just focus and

  340. build inside.

  341. Because people are not connected, so we need to connect

  342. people some more.

  343. Right. It was a hindrance.

  344. Some members insisted upon life saving as their primary purpose.

  345. So you have those here or missions. Come on, man, missions,

  346. let's go out. You want to carry your homes, go missions,

  347. let's go. You go full time, liu, since you like

  348. missions so much. But they were finally voted down and

  349. told that they wanted to save the lives of all

  350. the various kinds of people who were cheap. Reading those

  351. wort us, they could begin their own life saving station.

  352. Now you got start one your own, na than they did.

  353. As the years went by, the new station experienced the

  354. same changes, same changes, Grow, grow, grow people like then comfortable.

  355. It evolved into a club, and yet another life saving

  356. station was founded. History continued to repeat itself, and if

  357. you visit the sea coast today, you will find a

  358. number of exclusive clubs along the shore. Exclusive shipwrecks are

  359. frequent in those waters, but most people drown. What did

  360. Jesus come here to do? Why am I sharing this message? Well,

  361. I also have homes and it's not the first time

  362. I'm reading that. And I give you a bit of background.

  363. So my homes was newly planted in March this year.

  364. These homes, these new homes I have before that. Now, friends, Oh,

  365. I tell you I love my own homes right because

  366. my own homes, I also bill on my okay bill

  367. old homes were weird about twenty old people. All the

  368. homies all loved me. I also loved all the homies.

  369. In fact, we meet in one of my homies house right,

  370. and I tell you she's an awesome coke you saw

  371. just down right, Tony and Vonnica. Vonnica is an awesome coat.

  372. She cooks really good un your food and every home

  373. she will cook.

  374. You on your food.

  375. Oh, and I tell you I loved it, you know,

  376. because it was so easy. I go, I share a

  377. few words, you know, we take them sharing word.

  378. You know.

  379. I don't even need to do a ship because I

  380. can't you know, I can't likee Okay I can't. I'm trying.

  381. I'm trying with your heart, you know, play guitar, I can,

  382. but I can't.

  383. Okay, so it's not my thing.

  384. So so so yeah, you know, imagine for good one year,

  385. one year, half year it was and the homes is growing,

  386. you know, homes not going.

  387. It was growing.

  388. It was going bigger and bigger and bigger, like twenty

  389. thirty max.

  390. Then we got kids.

  391. We are growing both in numbers and we're growing also

  392. people multiplying. Course, got babies and all right, so that's happening,

  393. you know, and I loved it.

  394. It was so awesome. Just come do homes go back?

  395. Can right?

  396. I can do that forever. But everybody say, but have

  397. you guys gone through the five four ministry? Hey, the

  398. leaders went through. You'll know what's your five four ministry? Right,

  399. you're apostolic, right and remember, yeah that's Si.

  400. That's what she's doing. What she's doing right now? Can

  401. I sit still one? Okay? My five four ministry? My

  402. I got number one, number two?

  403. Okay, it interchanges, Okay, I think the first time is apostolic,

  404. second one teacher And because of that, can I sit

  405. still long? Because got um students coming to then I

  406. observe God opportunity. And then now I planned it out, guys,

  407. I planned it out because my home is so good. Right,

  408. they're mass multiplimber right, multiply. And then my homies love

  409. me so much. Right, So what I thought I do? Okay,

  410. I tell them, guys, we're going to plan homes and

  411. we're going to reach out to the UM students and

  412. this is what we're going to do.

  413. Okay, we are going to do it.

  414. I will do it, me, my wife, my two kids, right,

  415. and one more leader, and I open it up to

  416. my home's homies. Any of you want to join me

  417. or not. Any of you enjoyment, come, come and join me.

  418. I'm going to go and plan homes. You know, it's

  419. going to be exciting. It's going to be fun, you know,

  420. one month, you know. But let me tell you this.

  421. I'm not going to ask you personally to join. I

  422. want you to pray and ask God and God speak

  423. to you.

  424. You follow me? Okay.

  425. In my mind thinking that because there were two guys

  426. in my huddle, my disciplageship.

  427. That they will follow me with your families. So I said, okay,

  428. after this man, right, let me know what. No one

  429. let me know. Nobody, okay, never mine near mine.

  430. I managed to talk to one of my guys and

  431. that he said, I really told you wherever you go

  432. out followed, so he came.

  433. With the family. So that was in March.

  434. Okay, So it's me, my wife Michelle Tree leaders right,

  435. and two of my kids, no choice are homeschot a

  436. few things to do, right, so my kids will have

  437. to surfer, right. And I can tell you from March

  438. until now, we're running home, sir, because remember I said

  439. I saw God opened door or um I wish I

  440. could tell you. Oh, you know, then the umstorters started

  441. coming and after that we started experiencing growth. Oh, I

  442. tell you you're so good because now we've got twenty

  443. old people friends, one u AM master's student something that

  444. I feel that we're just doing homeswaking money, which I

  445. think it is LA. He's now chairing or so at

  446. least he's helping out with charing.

  447. Right. He's from Nigeria and anyway.

  448. One one not Yeah, for the first six months are

  449. and do you know how difficult homes is now for me?

  450. I have to worship late no, Oh, my goodness, I

  451. pity my homies. No, I think they're probably saying a

  452. lot faster. First finish worship. You know, don't know whether

  453. bring God's presence or all the kind of presence. Then

  454. let me tell you how we arrange because sharing word

  455. and worship leaders do not. Just leaders stup because no

  456. one else can do right, so we just take them off.

  457. So how we plan it is, okay, Michelle, you want

  458. to share word for which day? What don't you do

  459. this day?

  460. This day? Then I'll do it.

  461. We never stop on because it's been three vers and

  462. he and then the thing is, my wife cannot play instrument,

  463. she can al worship late Michelle can play a little bit.

  464. So who do it? Every week?

  465. Hallelujah? And I'm asking myself why God did I put

  466. myself in this situation? Why I could have enjoyed just

  467. having you know, every time I see monicaid Monica, I

  468. really miss your your cookie and then food also where

  469. said that? Okay, at least now I'm Michelle actually is

  470. Ronica's daughter. Now she's doing a cooking la. Okay, okay, okay,

  471. I can I can still got luck, so right.

  472. Now I also prepare food sometimes?

  473. Why am I sharing this to you because I was

  474. a little bit discouraged from very comfortable to super uncomfortable.

  475. I haven't even talked about logistics with my kids yet.

  476. It's crazy, logistics crazy. Either my wife to fetch or

  477. I have to fetch because my workplace is in subang

  478. My kids is either in Tamandesa because the you know,

  479. in lost for them, or they will stave me. So

  480. I'm to choose to wish that I want. Either I

  481. drive further or they treat the tea finished class. Then

  482. I have to jug at them until I finish work.

  483. And for those who got kids around you, you know

  484. that it's very difficult to work your kids there, right Yeah?

  485. Why God? Why? And then at that homes I read this,

  486. I read this, and I'm like, God, why why you

  487. plan out?

  488. Why you let us plan it? And only one person Okay,

  489. Nada He will share you that he really thanks for

  490. homes because he's going to a tough time, right God.

  491. I thought there'll be more, and God reminded me, Elvin,

  492. why did you plan these homes in the first place?

  493. You know?

  494. Can I give you a life lesson that I've learned

  495. that I think is ryan portant, especially when you're in

  496. crossroads or you're deciding different things. It's always good to

  497. go back to the beginning. Why was he started? Why

  498. was x AmBank started? I know Selenadian start xampunk. She

  499. took on the rings from eloping whole and uh, you know.

  500. The unique thing about x mpunk, you guys, is that

  501. we have really recognized x and punk being in kre right,

  502. it's going to be a melting pot.

  503. You look around, so.

  504. Many different ethnicities and nations also be in the same church.

  505. It's quite unique. You know, the church and a lot

  506. come and go on, meaning you may not be here

  507. for a long time. It may be here for a

  508. while only, but some year you remain for a long time.

  509. My hushman is whether you are here for a short

  510. while or for a long time, route down in the

  511. church and serve. You never know the little that you

  512. do will impact the life of a person. Don't just

  513. be counting the time when am I going to leave?

  514. Don't do that. Route yourself down and when you need

  515. to go, you go, and we need to stay, you stay. Amen.

  516. So God reminded me again, Elfe you remember again, why

  517. do you start these homes? And I'm like, yes, I remember,

  518. because we want to reach campus students. So then there

  519. has to be a mindset shift, right, a mindset shift.

  520. So I told my lears, I say, hey, because that

  521. time we didn't even have a location, right, So we met,

  522. Actually we met in the same place I used to

  523. meet homes. So imagine every friday got homes are and

  524. we will meet in the friday that the people got

  525. no homes.

  526. Son, do you know how weird that is? Some nice

  527. it's weird no for me because are you having homes?

  528. No?

  529. Then I'm like, oh, we are doing this now.

  530. And then when they have meetings and they will have

  531. meetings in the friday we got homes and there I'm like,

  532. oh no, So it's a double wmon for me. So

  533. I discussed you the leaders, and we said, hey, let's

  534. change some things. Number one, let's not I mean not

  535. to say that we're not working hard, but let's put

  536. a little bit more effort. Okay, let's have teams. So

  537. we actually had a leader's meeting three hours and we say,

  538. you know, last time, extras, you have to have teams.

  539. And then now I don't know why, I don't know

  540. whether any of the homes do, but we highly hear it,

  541. I say, hey, we want to do teams. So we

  542. actually sat down and we plan until January next year

  543. that we have teams. So our last homes, we decided

  544. to do a funny head homes where everybody will come

  545. with a funny head.

  546. Yes, it's as ridiculous as it sounds. And then because

  547. I got Michelle.

  548. In my homes, we name that homes dead homes, d

  549. h at homes where the tea is across got picture

  550. your show just now can show up. Okay, there was

  551. our homes, okay. Believing that when we do this, God

  552. will bring more so on that day, I can tell you.

  553. So we planned the homes, we did the thing, and

  554. then we were excited. So the first sign was there.

  555. The leaders were excited. And then the other thing we

  556. did was say, okay, let's shieft our homes back to

  557. a Tuesday Thursday, right chief to a Thursday, so the

  558. at least same with everyone else, not so like offshoot

  559. like Thata. But my wife was concerned next.

  560. Day school day war. Then if we en homeslad the kids.

  561. How so then we said, okay, to circummend that, let's

  562. meet earlier for homes. So our homestead is seven thirty

  563. and then we try to finished nine thirty and we

  564. go back. And then the other thing that I share

  565. you about the demographic of my homes right is me,

  566. my wife Michelle.

  567. Three of us can drive. Friends.

  568. If you are going to reach out to a campus

  569. homes are they need transport? On okay U m is

  570. very near but they still need transport. So think about it.

  571. If I come myself with my kids and my wife,

  572. who's going to fetch them?

  573. Michelle? But it's her house? So what was our work around? Well,

  574. because our kids new go back. Me and my wife

  575. said we will drive separately to homes every week. We

  576. will drive separately so that after homes, she will send

  577. the kid back and I'll fetch the Cambus students back.

  578. It's a conmanment we are doing. Let me tell you

  579. the testimony when I shared this message two weeks ago,

  580. homes have would happen yet. But I want to show

  581. you this because they really got testimony. That Mario guy

  582. there over there, it's not our campus student that's been

  583. coming for He's not the Nigerian if you notice, he's

  584. actually new our first new camera student from UM right

  585. and he's a Filipinos and Kata. His name is Aaron

  586. and he's a bringer because he's like, oh, I'm gonna

  587. bring this s Tran, I'm gonna bring his brand, you know.

  588. And he really enjoyed homes, okay. And we did stupid

  589. things like okay, like we're the hat. We wore the

  590. head throughout homes. Oh and you see that like roast

  591. chicken hat. It's my wife's idea. She found it a shoppie,

  592. she bought it, and then we are just playing around

  593. with it. Okay, our next homes this week, it's gonna

  594. be the team is come and be filled, right, Come

  595. and be filled where we're gonna give everybody a mug,

  596. a personalized mauk.

  597. Yeah doesn't make sense. No, it doesn't make sense.

  598. But we're trying our best to do different things just

  599. so that when people come, they will feel connected hopefully.

  600. La right, let me tell you the other testimony. Two

  601. weeks in service, we got one new Korean person, Korean Masterson,

  602. coming open to join our homes. There was and others

  603. to then they came last week today. I don't know

  604. who else going to come, and we al really invited

  605. them for homes and tell them we were doing all

  606. these nonsense things. So I believe after five months off,

  607. I wouldn't call it droutler. Okay, maybe preparation or heart whatever,

  608. that God wants to do something. But it took a

  609. mindset change, right, it took a mindset change. X twenty

  610. twenty four says, But my life is worth nothing to

  611. me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned

  612. me by the Lord Jesus, the work of telling others

  613. the good news about the wonderful grace of God. Friends,

  614. my encouragement to us this morning is that our church

  615. needs to be a life saving station. Actually, I will

  616. go even further. Your life needs to be a life

  617. saving station, not just the church, not just homes, not

  618. just here. Of course, if you're here and you can

  619. see these place as a life saving station, hopefully you

  620. will go out and save those that are drowning. Lah.

  621. Let me give you this a picture because as well

  622. as bring this message ago this picture once that Mama,

  623. I said, you're gonna know why we started so X church.

  624. We planted many to just ready XPG is one exampang

  625. is one. You see that big boat over there, that

  626. blue big boat is exa'mpang, what's on exampanger? All the

  627. little lifeboats? Do you know what the other lifeboats represent?

  628. Your homes? If you are part of the homes, and

  629. for those of you who are in homes, you understand this.

  630. When someone is.

  631. Drowning, you see someone is drowning. I don't know why

  632. he's holding a briefcase. Maybe he's rounding in debt. Okay,

  633. I don't know, lah, Okay. The homes can go out

  634. because it's very difficult for a whole church, right, want

  635. to mobilize eybody. But the homes can go out and

  636. save someone and bring them back to the boat. Reach

  637. out to a mom, reach out to a young, reach

  638. out to a teen, reach out to someone that's going

  639. to a tough time and bring them back. See, if

  640. we don't have perspective, we won't do it. But if

  641. you can see your homes as a life saving station.

  642. Remember I mentioned but my homes. Right, So at that

  643. time when I share this message, I think two weeks

  644. back in Pja, one of our homes went out for

  645. missions and another homes also went out for missions. So

  646. I joked, like I said, wow, we send our formations

  647. and then our tennis dropped, so they actually went out.

  648. So when you go for missions, you're going out to

  649. do your live saving duties. When you go and do

  650. different things, when you go for a mess, you're going

  651. out to do your life saving duties. Go and do

  652. you know that it's not going to be forever? Go

  653. and do, then come back, go and do, then come

  654. back to the phone. Go and do what you need

  655. to do, and come before. And the thing is, is

  656. every home smobilize all the time? No, because if every

  657. home smomobilize, then the ship nobody really right? And then

  658. my homes is there are saving that blonde lady right?

  659. And then see June Homeolson needs saving. I'm just Joe

  660. Cam just jogging. Can I give you another perspective on

  661. this picture that is very powerful? Not all of us

  662. here are one hundred percent of the time correct. Sometimes

  663. we could have fallen off the boat, like that person

  664. screaming for help over there. That's not the non believer.

  665. That could be a Christian. Who's going to save the

  666. person one of the homosong? Do you know that not

  667. all of us one hundred percent? And we might have

  668. fallen off the boat, then who's going to save you?

  669. Someone here La, So he's not just non believer. So me,

  670. we got to look up for shot as well.

  671. You'll catch that. No, no, see, if you don't catch

  672. that as a church, you miss out friends.

  673. If you're not screaming for help, nobody knows, because sometimes

  674. people need helps. Are they are just quiet? There's side there?

  675. Then they draw nobody knows. So Nola ask for help. La,

  676. make some noise. Come back to the fall, because there's

  677. security in the fall. There's power in being together.

  678. Amen.

  679. And when I was looking at this, I really caught

  680. this picture. Why it's extra s doing what we're doing.

  681. If the focus is just a blue board, we won't

  682. care about outside. But the focus was never about the blueboat.

  683. The focus was never about the building.

  684. Right.

  685. The focus is now about how powerful we can do

  686. the light show here, never about that. It's always about

  687. saving the loss. It has always been about saving the loss.

  688. Some of us here we were lost, but now we're found.

  689. Amen.

  690. So can I encourage you to find someone? I'll end

  691. with this, Luke, chapter five, verse one tonight. Let's go

  692. read that five to one to night. Are you guys okay?

  693. We're catching something? So it was as the multitude pressed

  694. about him to hear the word of God. That he

  695. stood by the leg of Gonnesseret and saw two boats

  696. standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone from them,

  697. and they were washing their nets. Then he got into

  698. one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him

  699. to put out a little from the land, and he

  700. sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When

  701. he had stopped speaking, he said to Simon, launched out

  702. into the deep and let down your nets will catch.

  703. But Simon answered and said to him, Master, we have

  704. taught all night and caught nothing. Nevertheless, at your word,

  705. I will let down the net. And when they had

  706. done this, they caught a great number of fish, and

  707. their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners

  708. in the other boat to come and help them, and

  709. they came and filled both the boats, so that they

  710. begin to sink. When Simon beater the said he fell down,

  711. and Jesus need saying, depart from me, for I'm a

  712. sinful man, o Lord, For he and all who were

  713. with him were astonished at the catch of the fish

  714. when they had taken. And now, of course Jesus said,

  715. do not be afraid from now on you will catch

  716. men or you'll be fishers on men. That's why I

  717. believe that God wants for x Ampung. And as you

  718. can read this right, you will see that Simon Peter

  719. came not from a place of strength, but of weakness.

  720. And I know sometimes for those of us here we

  721. may feel that way. Hamapa, s Elvin, you and me

  722. ask go and save people out, But look at my life.

  723. Look at what I'm experiencing, you know, but I'm going

  724. through my own demons. I'm going through other things. Yes,

  725. that's why you need to get healed first. That's why

  726. you need to be okay first. That's why you need

  727. to be safe first. If you are not safe like

  728. that lady is trying to help, how are you going

  729. to save other people? Do you know that God's we're practical.

  730. Simon Peter was in not in a place of strength,

  731. but weakness. Don't He was like Yella And then this

  732. carpenter for the that looked like a rock star come

  733. and ask him to throw the nets. Someone right, who

  734. has no right to spring to your life because you

  735. have all the experience, you have all the understanding, you

  736. have all the expertise. But someone else that don't know

  737. you don't know your life, don't know your your what

  738. trying to give you advice?

  739. War she listen or not?

  740. That's what happened to Simon And again I'm no one

  741. now just giving an example. I'm talking about God, Peter Keller,

  742. and not just that. I want to have excused them more. Hey,

  743. we toil all night, we al really throw the next idea.

  744. We really did all that we can do really right,

  745. and you're asking us to do it again. It's okay,

  746. at your word, I will do it. Do you know

  747. I thank God Simon Peter still do that? Do you

  748. know what that tells you? It talks about obedience. It

  749. doesn't make sense right this carpenter guy has no right

  750. to advise and experienced fishermen how to fish, and experienced

  751. fisherman who has fished all night yet Simon Peter, probably

  752. due to the preaching, probably something something Jesus has said

  753. that if flicked a switch that said.

  754. I will obey.

  755. You know, in your life right now there might be

  756. certain things that you're afraid of that you're not sure

  757. that God is speaking friends. Are you going to trust

  758. your experience? Are you going to trust the word of God?

  759. Because when you trust the word of God and obey,

  760. then the abundance come. It was so abundant now that

  761. it was not just Simon Peters Bona, it was other people.

  762. Hey first to come, first, to come, so much faster

  763. to come, and everybody's books was thinking. So when he

  764. went to the to the beach, right, he's like, get

  765. away from me, I'm a sinful man. Of course we

  766. look at that and then oh yeah, then he became

  767. a believer, like he became a follow up Christ.

  768. Right.

  769. But the fish talks about abundance. If we obey God

  770. and if we trust with him, he will bring the abundance.

  771. But the abundance not for yourself. No, the abundance bless others.

  772. The abundance so that you will be fine and you

  773. will help save others, like what the Bible says in

  774. the beginning where Abraham was blessed to be a blessing.

  775. Right.

  776. So yes, you might be drowning now, you might be

  777. going to your own time ask God to save you, friends.

  778. But after he saved you, don't just be happy like that,

  779. Go and save someone else. That is my encouragement. Because

  780. Jesus asked Simon to launch out to the deed. Friends,

  781. I believe that God wants to ask x mpunk those

  782. of you who are here, not just the leaders, not

  783. just the home leaders, those of you who are here,

  784. to launch out into the deed because that is faith.

  785. And obedience.

  786. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  787. information on our church, please visit x church org. We

  788. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  789. this week is going to be a good week, a

  790. hit for you. God bless
