You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
Today's message is entitled Jesus Only You, Joy, Joy, Jesus
-
only You. Yeah, it kind of sounds like Christmasy, right,
-
So I asked all of what is this all about?
-
You know, we have many incidents and issues in life
-
that tend to try to make us sad. Cragno, And
-
have you had instances where when you have one of
-
those sad days? You know what is a sad day?
-
You go and you turn on the music and then
-
the music is slow and people are crying, you know
-
that kind of music, sad like your dog died like
-
something like that. You know, and your whole day is
-
spend morning and groaning you. And you know what happens
-
when you have one of those days? Have in fact,
-
am I speaking to people who've had days like that?
-
Have you found that on those days? Somehow your body hurts,
-
your joants hurt, Everything seems wrong, nothing seems right. That's
-
what happens when you don't have joy. It SAPs the
-
strength from you, and God wants us not to have
-
our strength removed. I tell you what happened a couple
-
of weeks back. You see, when I share the word
-
of God, I put my heart and soul and you know,
-
I get up in the morning and I pray, and
-
the enemy doesn't like that, and so what does he do.
-
He tries to attack me. And basically how he tries
-
to attack me is he tries to remove my joy.
-
That's the easiest way for him to get to me
-
is to remove my joy. Us praying for this person,
-
that's my Elder Mabel, myself praying for this person that's
-
very close to us. We were praying and we understand
-
that this person was going through some medical tests. Right,
-
so when I prayed, the word came to me cancer,
-
and when Elder Mabel prayed, the word came to her operation.
-
You know, it's amazing that we didn't fall to pieces.
-
It's amazing that we did not become sad and despondent. Hey,
-
when you get news that's not good, don't despair. So
-
at the moment that that news came, I was in
-
my room in the office, and at that very moment
-
I received a call and this person said the results
-
have come back and it's a fifteen to thirty percent
-
chance or likelihood of cancer. And the doctor has advised
-
immediate surgery. Oh, and then she said send for a
-
second opinion to a surgeon in the US. And the
-
surgeon in the US wrote back and said, immediate surge.
-
Do not delay. At that moment, Pastor past the room.
-
Pastor never passes my office. I got to tell you,
-
he never passes the office. The first time he passed
-
the office at that specific time, when I put down
-
the call, my spirit said, tell Pastor. You know, for me,
-
when something happens, the first person I run to is God,
-
and only after I go to God, then I'll go
-
to somebody else. But this time the spirit of the
-
Lord said, tell Pastor. And the funny thing is Pastor
-
was right outside my room talking to somebody else. He
-
could have walked off, but no, as long as the
-
phone call was there, he was there talking. And after
-
he finished his conversation, say Pastor, can I have a
-
word with you? Sure, he came into my office, been
-
into my office before with me there, so I told him,
-
and he said, don't worry, I'll pray together with you.
-
And you know, somehow, when I went back home, Elder
-
Mabel also was not troubled I was not troubled, And
-
then we discussed why we were not troubled. She said,
-
because the Lord already told me this was going to
-
be an operation. Then she asked me, why weren't you
-
troubled because the Lord already told me it was going
-
to be cancer. Wow, the Lord prepares us. You know
-
why we cannot afford to be sad and despondent and
-
to lose our joy, because the Bible says the joy
-
of the Lord is our strength, and if we remain strong,
-
the enemy cannot win. You have to rely Jesus only you.
-
So then I begin to ask the Lord this morning,
-
as I took my ten kilometer walk for all of you,
-
praying and asking the Lord Lord, what do I share
-
with him? The Lord asked me to share something that's
-
not in my notes, but I'm going to tell you
-
it says, Eh, I'm going to be just sharing this
-
little bit from the Book of Luke, and it's about
-
John the Baptist. And John the Baptist was now in prison. Right,
-
he was in prison, and he was about to lose
-
his head. Not get angry, He was not about to
-
get angry, but he was literally about to lose his head. Okay,
-
he's about to be executed, and in a moment which
-
every time I've read before I thought was a moment
-
of weakness, that he would say to his disciples. I
-
read the scripture. Okay, it's from let's read it together,
-
reading from Luke, chapter seven, verse eighteen. Then the disciples
-
of John reported to him concerning all these things. And John,
-
calling two of his disciples to him, send them to
-
Jesus saying, are you the coming one? Or do we
-
look for another? When the men had come to him,
-
they said, John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying,
-
are you the one? Or do we look for another?
-
At that moment, I'm imagining, okay, Jesus could have done
-
this in Jesus name. Come up, the demon came out
-
in Jesus' name, received in my name, receive your sight.
-
I heal you in Jesus' name. I command you, take
-
up your bed and walk, And the lame walked. Then
-
he looks to John's disciples and he says this. He says,
-
at that very hour, he cured many infirmities, afflictions, and
-
evil spirits to many blind. He gave sight. And Jesus
-
answered and said to him to them, Go and tell John,
-
or should I do? In the Jesus voice, go and
-
tell John the things you have seen and heard, that
-
the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed,
-
and the deaf here all the dead are raised, the
-
poor have the Gospel preached to them. And blessed is
-
he who is not offended because of me. See, when
-
you read the Bible, Jesus is not some weak voice.
-
You know, he instills confidence and strength. The Lord revealed
-
this to me. John was not doubting Jesus. Have you
-
ever asked yourself this question? What is the meaning of life?
-
Have you ever asked this question? Have you asked this question?
-
Have I fulfilled my calling? Has my life been worth it?
-
Have I done the right thing? Did I do what
-
I was supposed to do? Then? The other thing the
-
Lord could in my heart is isn't it strange that
-
these were cousins? All right? Jesus was John's cousin. John
-
was in prison. Do you know Jesus didn't go and
-
visit him, so Bader his cousin. Jesus didn't go and
-
visit John. Can I tell you this, thank God, that
-
we have strong characters in the Bible. The Bible does
-
not have whimps. Jesus was not a whimp, and neither
-
was John. John was also not a wimp. They knew
-
what work they had to do, and they went about
-
doing that work. They did not fall to pieces because
-
something bad happened. Did Jesus stop doing his work because
-
John was in prison? No? Was John upset that Jesus
-
did not go and visit him in prison. If he
-
was upset, he would have told his disciples to tell Jesus,
-
what's the matter with you? I'm your cousin man, I'm
-
here rotting in this.
-
Where are you?
-
I haven't seen you yet? Don't you love me? Did
-
John say that? No? John was only concerned with one thing.
-
Have I wasted my life? Or did I do what
-
I came here to do? And Jesus affirmed that Jesus
-
was telling John through what did his disciples saw That
-
people were being helped, that lame people were walking, that
-
blind was seeing that the dead were being raised to life.
-
So many great things were happening. So Jesus was telling him,
-
you didn't miss out on what you were supposed to do.
-
You did exactly what you came here for you pointed
-
them to me. They have come to me, And blessed
-
is he who is not offended because of me? Isn't
-
that a great validation for John's life? So now John
-
could go and meet God when his head was removed,
-
knowing that he did exactly what he was supposed to do.
-
What has that got to do with joy? See? Joy?
-
There's a difference between joy and happiness. Did you know
-
that there used to be a song that we used
-
to sing twenty years ago? Happiness is to know the Savior,
-
living a life within his favor, taking a trip from
-
my behavior. Happiness is the Lord. Real joy is mine,
-
no matter if teardrops fall, I found the secret. It's
-
Jesus in my heart. Hallelujah. Have you all heard that
-
song before? No? Eh, more than three years ago. Happiness.
-
There's a difference between happiness and joy, and sometimes we
-
confuse it. You see, happiness is dependent upon some external influence.
-
I get a new car, I'm happy. When the car
-
becomes old, I'm not happy anymore. Okay, I have a
-
new baby. You are so happy with the baby, and
-
then the baby starts crying in the night, cannot sleep.
-
Then you start to rethink that position right not parents
-
is the truth. It's the truth. Happiness is dependent upon
-
some external influence. I got money, I'm happy. I got
-
no money. I'm sad. But joy depends on the state
-
of your heart. You can be unhappy but joyful at
-
the same time. How many of you are happy when
-
your body is hurting. Oh, I'm so happy my hand.
-
I broke my hand. I'm so happy the bone is
-
sticking out. Wah, you's so Joyfuler No, you are not
-
happy that your hand is broken, but in your heart
-
you can be joyful. You're alive. Crack on not two
-
days I was walking. I was thanking the Lord, Lord,
-
thank you for saving my life when the bike hit me.
-
You'll have all heard that testimony. I've said it so
-
many times before. Then the Lord cut through and he said,
-
that was not the first time I saved your life.
-
So I said, when when you were born? I was
-
a premature baby. By the way, I was born three
-
week two three weeks premature. So I was born in
-
November twenty seventh. I actually should have been born in December,
-
so another two weeks if I would have come here.
-
Make sure you wish me happy birthday. Okay, that's my
-
It's supposed to be my real birthday anyway. Anyway, what
-
happened was the cord around my neck, the umbilical cord
-
was around my neck, and my mother started bleeding in
-
the house. It wasn't just a little bit of blood.
-
It was a lot of blood. Was There was so
-
much blood that my father when crazy. My father didn't
-
know what to do. He was already in a state
-
of panic. My aunt says, he was just dying. Any
-
number on the phone those days are it's dial Okay,
-
he's just dying. He doesn't know what he's dying. He's
-
just gone off already because there was so much blood.
-
Thank God for my aunt, she called her boyfriend. Boyfriend
-
brought her car, brought his car, and it took me
-
to took my mom to Bangsa hospital. This was nineteen
-
sixty one, sixty four years ago. And the doctor immediately
-
wheeled my mother in. And I was born by Caesar,
-
not Caesar Augustas or anybody else. I was a cesarean okay,
-
the doctor told my mom. Five minutes later, both of
-
you would have died. The Lord preserved me. The Lord
-
preserved me. When I was seven or eight years old.
-
Why so that I could share Jesus, so that I
-
could speak to someone about this Lord, this God. Nothing
-
makes me more happy than to see people come to
-
the Lord. I was in Eli last week or two
-
weeks ago, something like that, and I shared this word
-
of God that I shared with you, Jesus, It's okay,
-
It's going to be okay. And there were people in
-
the group. So when I gave the altar call, I
-
saw one girl put up the hand, but the guy
-
by the side of the girl caught my eye and
-
somehow I just couldn't let it go. After the service
-
was over, when everybody left the hall, I spoke to
-
the two of them, and that guy also gave his
-
life to the Lord. Guys, you and I got to
-
understand that joy is infectious. It supersedes happiness because happiness
-
depends on what's going on around you. But joy is inside.
-
You can have so much a hurt and pain but
-
still be joyful. You know, my sister, she used to
-
be in this church. Before she passed away. She said, Terrence,
-
I don't know what else to do. I said, you've
-
done everything you need to. What is that you have
-
not denied Jesus. That's a joy that's in your heart.
-
That's a joy that's in your heart. So how many
-
of us remember this joy? How many of us remember
-
that when Jesus saved us something happened. In scripture it says, inefficients,
-
do it for by grace you have been saved through faith,
-
and that not of yourselves. It is a gift of God.
-
It wasn't any lousy gift. Okay, it was a gift
-
of God, his only son, given to us to save
-
our souls. And we are so unhappy because we don't
-
have money in our pocket. Look at us? Are any
-
of us starving? Look at me? Do I look like
-
I'm starving? We all got rounded cheeks because God somehow
-
supplies all our needs according to his riches in glory, Guys, joy,
-
the joy of the Lord is the most important you
-
mask God, because if you let that go, you let
-
your strength go. Do not trade your joy for happiness
-
that is temporal. And having said that, there's nothing wrong
-
in being happy. Okay, what have people got against happiness?
-
Happy birthday or I cannot even say happy birthday, must
-
say blessed Birthday's okay, Merry Christmas or cannot say. You
-
gotta say blessed Christmas. Hey, do you know the word
-
mary is in the Bible. It says a merry heart
-
doeth good like a medicine. Why that is a joy?
-
Merriedness is a joy. It is not happiness. Guys. We
-
have to stop concentrating on things that are not important.
-
And you know what, we as Christians tend to be
-
so concerned or because the world says this, so we
-
we pull away. Guys. Nothing wrong in saying happy birthday,
-
nothing wrong in saying happy anniversary, nothing wrong in saying
-
Merry Christmas. There's nothing wrong in happiness. Okay, if you're happy,
-
praise the Lord. Just thank God that there's something more
-
for you, toy. That's life long. You know, when you
-
have the joy of the Lord, you look forward to
-
the happy moments. Also, there's going to be lots of
-
it in your life. When you succeed in your studies,
-
when you get your first car, when you buy your house.
-
How many of you are so happy when you get
-
your first house? Only one person? There are two persons, okay,
-
the rest of you're not happy? Love okay, three guys.
-
One five years after that, you're saying your Lord, everything
-
is breaking down. Learn to fix it. Learn to fix it.
-
The Lord has given you something. Hey, you know, when
-
the Lord gave you your salvation, you're meant to look
-
after that salvation. The Bible says you have to you
-
have to guard your salvation. There is some work involved
-
in maintaining that joy. How do you maintain that joy?
-
Very easy? I'll give you a simple one. Don't give
-
it up. Don't give your joy up. You know, when
-
was the last time, When was the last time you
-
were happy? When was the last time you were joyful?
-
Can you remember? Can you remember when was the last
-
time you let joy show on your face? You know
-
you have people in the office. I've had some bosses,
-
good morning, what's so good about the morning? They can
-
actually ask me that what's so good about the morning?
-
I say, well, you didn't die in an accident. I
-
could tell my bosses that if you dare tell me
-
what's so good about the morning, then I should be
-
able to say, you didn't die in an accident? Why not?
-
This is education. Sometimes you got to educate. There are
-
so many things that you can do. You know that
-
joy is like a peace that when somebody looks at
-
you they just know you're all together. They just know
-
you're all right. And then they look at themselves and
-
they come up to you and ask you, what's what's
-
it about you? What makes you different? And they say,
-
what are you talking about? No, I don't know. There
-
is something about you that draws me. Have you ever
-
experienced anything like that? You know what that is? That
-
is the spirit of the Lord in your spirit. That
-
is the spirit of the Lord that is shining thought
-
from you. You guys are batteries. Did you know it?
-
I've said it before. If you like superhero movies. In
-
brightest day, in darkest might, no evil shall escape my sight.
-
Let those who worship evils might beware my power green
-
Lantern's light. Guys, you are superheroes, but you don't know
-
it because you belong to the hero superheroes. Who's that?
-
Jesus he put you on this earth what to remain
-
the way you are? No, he put you on this
-
earth to make a difference. He puts you on this
-
earth to let his light shine through, so that when
-
somebody looks at you, you are a battery that someone
-
can or help from. But if you carry yourself with
-
your chindren dragging the ground. Who wants to follow you?
-
Because everybody else is already like that. Everybody else is
-
already dragging their chin on the ground. There are some
-
people who appear to be happy, very happy, ha ha ha,
-
but no joy in their heart. How you know, next
-
day they jump off a cliff. Do you know? There
-
are many people like that? What makes you different? Are
-
you gonna use Jesus that's in your heart or you're
-
just gonna keep him to yourself. You know, there's a
-
wonderful thing being the age of sixty four. You know
-
what that is? You don't care anymore. You don't care
-
whether people like you. You don't care whether people don't
-
like you. When the time comes, you just say what
-
you need to say. The other day, one man came
-
up to me and he said, so. I looked at him,
-
and I said, wow, you look a lot better. When
-
I saw you a few months ago. You were very ill.
-
He says, yes, I was just recovering from a heart attack.
-
And during that time, when I was recovering from a
-
heart attack, there was so much pain in my body.
-
I just wanted to commit suicide. I said, you cannot
-
do that. You've got two children. You can't do that.
-
I said, you know what I want you. I need
-
you to come to church so I can share Jesus
-
with you. Because Jesus loves you. Not only is he
-
is he loving you, but he'll take care of you. Now.
-
If this was me a few years ago, I would
-
say yes sir and forgot about it. But when you
-
get older, you don't care anymore. You don't care what
-
people you don't like, So what law everybody else don't
-
like me? It's okay, I live. But what's more important
-
is I share Jesus with you. You have an opportunity
-
to live. You know why Christians don't share Jesus because
-
they are afraid of rejection. You know why some people
-
are good in sales and some people are not good
-
in sales. The ones who are good in sales are
-
not afraid of rejection. The ones who are not good
-
in sales get rejected. Chin on the ground, cannot sleep
-
for a week, cannot You have to pick yourself, You
-
have to go on. Okay, our condition, When was the
-
last time you could raise our hands? Just because when
-
is the last time you just raise your hands and
-
said praise the Lord? Why in publica your hands are always done,
-
not when I walk, when I told you this before.
-
When I walk, sometimes people think I'm a madman because
-
I got my music, my gospel music, and my hands
-
are you know, I'm praising the Lord and sometimes and
-
I'm walking. It's like with rhythm, you know, because the
-
song is Your body just will react according to what joy?
-
Ma joy? It's that joy that God, one of my
-
neighbors saved. Will you let that joy flow out? It's
-
the joy of the Lord. Who is what is this joy? Jesus?
-
Only you, only Jesus can make that difference. You know.
-
In scripture Hebrews twelve to one, it says, therefore we also,
-
since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
-
let us lay aside every weight and sin which so
-
easily and snares us, and let us run with endurance
-
the race that is set before us. Do you know
-
that in the first scripture I shared with you the
-
pressure is taken of you because who is the one
-
who says Jesus it was free? So this joy, this
-
joy that's been given to you, is what free. You
-
don't like freer? How many of you don't like free? Well,
-
praise the Lord. If you put up your hand, I
-
will have to say something is wrong with you. Everybody
-
loves free, right or not. But you know there's one
-
thing that threatens to rob that joy. You know what
-
it is? Sin? Now? Sin is a weight. Sin is
-
a wait. It stays on you, It lingers on you,
-
and its job is to try to pull you down.
-
How many of you know that in a long distance event,
-
anything that you use can become a wait? Do you
-
ever wonder why long distance runners they wear thin clothes?
-
The cloth is so thin. The pin also that's holding
-
the number very thin? Why because after forty kilometers? Trust me,
-
your hair also makes it seem like you're heavy. That's
-
why I don't have hair. So when I walklers is
-
a very light. Sin is a weight, and you know
-
what scripture says about sin later side, Hey, you worry
-
about whether or not you do it one hundred times?
-
A thousand times? Do you know that God is not
-
worried about it? You know what concerns God? Do you
-
ask him to forgive you one hundred times? Do you
-
mean it a hundred times? Will you trust him one
-
hundred times? Is his word stronger than your sin? A
-
hundred times, Guys, you and I were most likely sin
-
for the rest of our life. Why because we don't
-
have a perfected mind. Yet Sometimes we think we are
-
being righteous, and the Lord slaps you in the head
-
and say, you have no idea what righteousness is. Come
-
to me and I will teach you. I think I'm
-
very righteous. Sometimes then he says, let me show you
-
that your righteousness like filthy wrack. Come to me. I will,
-
I will handle it. Guys, that's the thing about the Lord.
-
You know. You know why he forgives you every time
-
you ask him, because his word is true. If you
-
will ask me for forgiveness, I will remove your sin
-
as far as the east is from the west. If
-
you do not believe that the Lord will forgive you
-
of your sin, you are not believing his word. If
-
you're not believing his word, how can he be pleased
-
with you? You see, it's not He loved you when
-
you were rotten already, so now that you have come
-
into his knowledge, he's going to stop loving you. He
-
loved you first just the way you are. But the
-
very fact that now you say, God, please forgive me
-
of my sinning Jesus name, isn't that a realization that
-
you need to change. Isn't that a realization that there's
-
something better in Jesus? Isn't that a realization that you
-
want to make a change in your life? Yes, so
-
you know what a million times God will forgive you.
-
You know when he will stop forgiving you, when you
-
stop asking him. That's why Scripture says, lay aside every weight.
-
It's not difficult. It's not difficult to lay aside every weight.
-
If it were it's difficult, Scripture wouldn't have made it
-
so easy. You can actually lay it aside when you
-
go hiking. I went. I went once to this I
-
don't know where. I just ulu something or the other.
-
It was a do you remember were you there? It's
-
a stream and then it goes up like about two
-
kilometers and then there is a waterfall up there, big
-
big place. Oh my goodness, I almost died climbing up
-
that place to kill me. By the time I reached
-
the top, I had no more energy and I was stinking.
-
Oh no, I think they're going to have to carry
-
me down in a stretcher. I was so tired. And
-
then I did something very silly. I drank the water
-
from the stream do you know you never drink water
-
from the stream because you can get laptose pyrosis. But
-
it was the sweetest, coolest tasting water I have ever tasted.
-
I mean really tasted good. The water really tasted I
-
drank a lot. I was so tired. Gave me the
-
strength to come down. I want you to know that
-
if I was carrying a bag, you know, like how
-
these guys they go, they carry their bag, I don't
-
think I would have even made it ten percent up
-
the hill because it was that tiring their roots and
-
then you have to cross, and then your shoes get wet,
-
and it's really horrible. But don't discourage you from going up. Okay,
-
so let us lay aside every way. Do you know
-
that the scripture says that you put on the garment
-
for the spirit of heaviness. Your scripture says that it
-
simply means that maintaining the joy of the Lord is
-
as simple putting on a shirt or a quote. It
-
is intentional. Will you believe it or not? That's all.
-
Though you believe it, it's the same as you just
-
putting on a quote. Put on a garment of praise
-
for the spirit of heaviness. You know, I'm writing a song.
-
It's going to be my first worship song I've ever written.
-
It's already seventy to eighty percent complete. The music is
-
already done, very nice music. The music's all done, recorded everything.
-
It's just now the lyrics. A few changes are going
-
to make and then it'll be ready. You know, one
-
of the most wonderful things is to worship the Lord.
-
One of the most wonderful things is to sing praise
-
to him. And it's so natural that you want to
-
do it because your life changes, your life changes. You
-
want to see the bad stuff in your life disappear.
-
Get down to praising the Lord. You want to see
-
your bad situation change. Just worship Jesus. Put on that
-
garment of praise. You will find it so difficult to
-
remain without joy when you praise, because the moment you praise,
-
what happens the Lord comes into your situation. You know
-
what happens when the Lord comes into your situation. He
-
brings his joy with him. Isn't it wonderful? We don't
-
have to say of ourselves. We have Jesus Who's done it.
-
You know. The one scripture in Acts twenty one twelve thirteen.
-
It says, now where I've heard these things, Both we
-
and those from the place pleaded with him not to
-
go up to Jerusalem, and Paul answers, what do you
-
mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I ready
-
not only to be bound but also to die Jerusalem
-
for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Guys, Paul
-
here was in a situation where the people were telling him,
-
don't go, don't go, don't go. You're gonna die. You're
-
gonna die, You're gonna die. You know what he said,
-
don't break my heart, don't go break in my heart.
-
That's an Elton John somya. So the thing is this,
-
we are not supposed to dwell on things that discourages us.
-
Lord wants to remind someone here today. I don't know
-
who this person is. I don't know what your situation is.
-
But changing it is simple. It's removing it. It's letting
-
it down, it's letting it go. Stress. This is stress
-
that tries to get to us. You know, Scripture, I'm
-
just going to run through this very quickly. In two
-
thirty four, we handle stress by being ready. What does
-
it mean to being ready? Be ready? Just know what
-
you have to do so when time comes, just do it.
-
Just do it. That's being ready. In two Korendians twelve nine,
-
it says by our weakness before the Lord. So in
-
other words, bring your weaknesses before the Lord. Let him know. Lord,
-
you know I can't do this. You think the Lord
-
is going to show you away because you can't achieve
-
what he wants you to do. He say, come here
-
and sit down. Let me talk to you, let me
-
encourage you, let me tell you why you can still
-
do it. You know how many times I've gone to
-
the Lord and say, Lord, I can't do it. Do
-
you think that it's easy for me to come up
-
here and share the Word of God with you? Trust me?
-
Why do you think I spend one hour just on
-
the service praying because I need the Lord to annoying
-
the word. If you don't get anything from it, I've
-
wasted your time. Do you know what kind of a
-
responsibility that is? You waste somebody's time to come to
-
hear from the Lord and you just share nonsense. So
-
I go to the Lord to make sure that what
-
I share will have an impact in your life. Live
-
for Christ. Philippians want to anyone live for Christ? What
-
is living for Christ? Seek opportunity to share Jesus love.
-
What is Jesus' mean commandment to us? We all know it.
-
Go into the world, preach the gospel, make disciples. It's
-
what makes the Lord happy. So make the Lord happy.
-
You know, if you have an old person that doesn't
-
know the Lord and you want that person to be safe,
-
call me. I come. You know why I think I
-
got this face that connects with old people. Maybe because,
-
like my relatives say, I was born old. You know
-
when I came out of the womb. You know how
-
I came out. I came out through the stomach. But
-
they said this guy came out talking and he was
-
like old. So I guess there must be a reason
-
for that. You know why you need to get people safe.
-
You need to snatch them from the jaws of death.
-
You need them to know the one who saved you
-
and me. And it also says they that renew Okay,
-
this one, I gotta let you know. I believe. I
-
believe this is a personal belief that there is no
-
such thing as burnout in the Christian faith. No such
-
thing as burnout. Why I believe burnout is a cop
-
out And the reason why I don't believe there's burnout
-
in the Christian faith is because Jesus gave us an answer.
-
And what does Jesus say? Jesus said, he said, I
-
think it's in Isaiah. They that weighed upon the Lord
-
shall what renew there Streand so, guys, you've run out
-
of strength, You're weak, you can't do it anymore. What
-
a you going to do? Wait on the Lord? What
-
is weigit on the Lord? Pray and listen. They that
-
weigh upon the Lord? What the description say will renew
-
their strength? They shall mount up as wings like eagles.
-
They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk
-
and not faint. Guys, what is fainting? Fainting is burn out.
-
As I go towards the last lap of my life,
-
I want to bring people to the Lord. Why at
-
least I go in before the Lord. Say, Lord, you
-
know I'm a rotten syner, right, but at least one
-
thing I think I got right. I shed you and
-
see these people. God say, not because of me, because
-
of you, But I was given this privilege because you
-
think you and I can go and talk to the
-
Lord like that. When we see the Lord, we just
-
fall on our face and say, God, forgive us, cause
-
none of us will be able to say anything before
-
the Lord to try and make us look good. But
-
you know what, God is gracious. He will lift you up.
-
And he says, oh, my faithful servant. You know I
-
love the way you shed Jesus. I love the way
-
you talked about me. He will encourage you. But you
-
think you're gonna go there like some big shot. I
-
got news for you. Ain't gonna happen. Scripture says I
-
can do all things to Christ to strengthens me. Guys,
-
life is just positive, not because negative. Don't think negative
-
things don't happen to you. It's because you are able
-
to face every encounter life can and will change for you.
-
I mean, I can share with you all the things
-
that the Lord gives me ideas about you, believe it
-
or not. He no, I can't share this yet maybe
-
I can, all right. He even gave me an idea
-
about costume for the play. He says, so it yourself.
-
So am I going to do so? I don't know,
-
But you see, God is there how not to be joyful?
-
What's your work problem? Do you think your work problem
-
is something God cannot solve you have a job because
-
God created that item. Okay, your boss things He created
-
the item. No, no, no, no, God created the item
-
so you could have a job. Yeah, that's the way
-
it works, the way it's of the pressures of It's
-
liberating to have the Holy Spirit come up with the ideas,
-
isn't it. We stress out in this world today because
-
this world is always looking for people who've got ideas.
-
Oh and over and over again. You know, I used
-
to say this that in Malaysia. In Malaysia, this tends
-
to be true. In Malaysia, if you're a guy and
-
you reach the age of thirty five or forty years old,
-
you know that employers rarely want to employ you. You know,
-
it's very difficult for a guy in his forties to
-
find a job. Not so in other countries, but in
-
Malaysia tends to be true. Why is that because they
-
think maybe you don't have sharp ideas, maybe they think
-
you're too slow. Really, but God can give you ideas.
-
God can give you a way to do things. God
-
can make you different, He can make you stand out.
-
Because you think God runs out of ideas, man can
-
run out of ideas. Do you think God runs out
-
of ideas, He is the same God living in you.
-
So it's liberating to have the Holy Spirit help you
-
with ideas. So every idea in life and for life,
-
every idea for family and home, every idea from work,
-
who does it come from Jesus. One very important caution.
-
It's very easy for all these things that I've shared
-
to be missed. It's very easy to stop these blessings,
-
very easy. You know what stops it? Not giving Jesus
-
the glory. Not giving Jesus the glory. I am so
-
scared not to bless the Lord with things that he
-
has given me. I'm so scared not to give him
-
the glory. You know why. Then the answers will stop coming.
-
Then the blessings will stop coming, because I've taken the
-
glory for myself. But when I go to a job
-
and I do it, and I say, what, this is
-
such a great idea, I say, God helped me. I
-
give him the glory. He has given me the idea.
-
Who am I actually giving the glory to God? Every time?
-
So when I am blessing the name of the Lord,
-
will the idea stop coming? No? They will continue and
-
continue and continue, just like that boy that the Lord
-
did not let me go, and say, go and share
-
with him what you shared with me. Just now, that's
-
the encouragement for you. Because you don't let go, that
-
person will be safe. You see, that's how you do it.
-
That's how you do it. So do not sorrow me
-
him I at eight ten, and it says, do not
-
sorrow for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
-
Isn't it liberating to have his strength Jesus strength, The
-
weights off, the pressure is off. Now we are strong.
-
Now we are strong. And I'm going to keep it going. Man.
-
You know how I'm going to keep it going. I'm
-
going to walk. I'll sing, man, I'll sing. You don't
-
like my singing, that's your problem. God likes my singing. Okay,
-
I will dance. Why you can dance, yes, but I
-
don't dance before you. Okay. I dance in the room
-
before the Lord. Okay, I dance, yeah, But over here
-
I will dance lot. You know. The reason I dance
-
is because the Lord has given me movement. Those of
-
you that when you worship the Lord you stand straight
-
and still, I'll encourage you to move, all right, because
-
it's an attitude of the heart. If you can move
-
for the Lord and dance, you probably move for him,
-
you know, in the things that he gives you. I
-
will raise my hands like that madman in the neighborhood.
-
He's okay, it's okay. If people think I'm crazy, I
-
can leave. They ask me how it's okay. I can live.
-
You're the chhire. You lift up your head and I say,
-
I believe in a great God. What that's why you
-
raise it?
-
Yes?
-
Open doors man, Your craziness will open doors for people
-
to talk to you. Love. I live like there's a God.
-
I live like there's a God. Do you live like
-
there's a God in your life? Don't be afraid. Don't
-
be afraid, guys, don't be afraid. You're getting quiet on me.
-
Don't be afraid to praise the Lord in public. Praise
-
the Lord. Thank you Jesus, because somebody needs to hear it.
-
In Look four eighteen, the spirit of the Lord is
-
upon me because he has anointed me to preach the
-
gospel to the poor. You and I we have an anointing.
-
Do you believe it? How do I know it? Because
-
Matthew twenty eight was not given to some it was
-
given to all. You have an anointing to preach the
-
gospel to whom the poor. He is said to heal
-
the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and
-
recovery r side to the blind, to set a liberty
-
those who are oppressed. Now the Lord is spirit, and
-
where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
-
You have been given a liberty to live the life
-
that Jesus has decided for you. Don't let anybody put
-
you in a box and say don't live it that way.
-
You are free, so don't let anybody try and remove
-
that liberty from you. The enemy tries to remove that
-
liberty by maybe making you sick. Remember I started off
-
by saying that sickness should not be a reason to
-
steal your joy, Because when sickness cannot steal your joy,
-
who has to live sickness. You have been given the
-
liberty to share the word of God. Don't be afraid
-
to tell your friend uncle Jesus loves you and he
-
wants to save you. He does, and if you will
-
open your heart to him, he will come in and
-
he will save you. Tell people that the choice is
-
up to them whether to believe or not, but you
-
have spoken the word. You have that liberty. So my
-
last word to you in this last minute is live it,
-
Live it Live. The joy of the Lord is your strength.
-
Live joy, Jesus only you. When you run into an issue,
-
just remember Jesus only you can help.
