  1. You're listening to a message to go from ex church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Matthew, chapter nineteen, and we're reading verse sixteen. Now be whole.

  4. One came and said to him, good teacher, what good

  5. thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?

  6. So Jesus said to him, why do you call me good?

  7. Because no one is good but one that is God.

  8. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.

  9. So Jesus saying, are you calling me good? Because then

  10. you're calling me God. See that's why he says, do

  11. you know who you're talking to? You? Actually, if you

  12. call me good, then I'm God. But he wasn't aware

  13. of that. So he says, if you want to enter

  14. into eternal life, keep the commandments. And so this young

  15. man said, which ones Jesus said, Well, you shall not murder,

  16. you shall not commit a you shall not steal, you

  17. shall not bear false witness, and honor your father and mother.

  18. And you shall love your neighbor as yourself. And the

  19. young man said to him. In the Matthew nine, verse twenty,

  20. it says the young man. It was a young man,

  21. and he said all these things. I have kept from

  22. my youth? What do I steal lack? Why is this

  23. young man asking? Why is he saying? What do I

  24. still lack? I've kept all these commandments and this, and

  25. there's this hunger? He says, what do I still lack?

  26. And Jesus said to him, if you want to be perfect,

  27. go sell what you have and give it to the poor,

  28. and you will have treasure in heaven. And come follow me.

  29. And but then the young man heard that, saying man,

  30. he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. He

  31. was sorrowful after the one who is good. And if

  32. you call him good, he's go. God tells you, hey,

  33. come follow me, Sell everything and follow me. And he

  34. went like, shucks, I can't. He went away sorrowful. He

  35. came in very hopeful, but he went off sorrowful. Now

  36. look at Mark chapter ten. Let's reference to the same

  37. passage in the book of Mark chapter ten. If you

  38. look at some verses here. So in verse sixteen of Matthew,

  39. he says, one came. Behold, one came to him and said,

  40. good teacher, what good things shall I do? In Mark

  41. chapter ten, if you look at verse seventeen, Mark chapter ten,

  42. verse seventeen, it says, now Jesus was going out on

  43. the road, and one came running and knelt before him

  44. and asked him, good teacher, what shall I do that

  45. I may inherit eternal life. So this is how you

  46. do a Bible study. You reference all the scripture, the context.

  47. And so in Mark he says he came running, and

  48. he actually he knelt down and said, good teacher, And

  49. he said what might I do? And Jesus told him

  50. what he needs to do. And then he said. In

  51. verse twenty of Mark chapter ten, he says, teacher, all

  52. these things, all the commandments I have kept from my youth.

  53. So he really is a very conscious, very godly I

  54. suppose you know, he's aware. He's very self aware of

  55. him following the commandments of the Lord. And so he says,

  56. I've kept them from my youth. And then verse twenty

  57. one in Mark chapter ten, verse twenty one, then Jesus,

  58. looking at him, loved him, loved him and said to him,

  59. one thing you lack, go your way, Sell whatever you have,

  60. give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.

  61. And come take up the cross, the cross and follow me.

  62. Wow a little bit more depth to the Matthew nineteen

  63. verse that this young man came running. There was an eagerness.

  64. I wonder how many of us will come running to Jesus,

  65. come running, you know, to the Lord with eagerness. And

  66. this young man came to the Lord with such eagerness

  67. to want to know how to have eternal life. The

  68. fact that he came is because he must have heard

  69. the message of Jesus prior from different people or you know,

  70. the news travels through the great buying no handphones, but

  71. I don't know how messages get through and the news

  72. of Bethlehem. Maybe the newspaper in Bethlehem News, Bethlehem News.

  73. Jesus tells us that eternal life comes through. Okay, So

  74. now he gets a chance to see Jesus. So you

  75. gotta put a picture, have a bit of drama in

  76. the reading of scripture, so that you identify with this

  77. young man. Is anyone here who's hungry and just desiring

  78. to have eternal life to walk with Jesus?

  79. We come running? Do we come running to Jesus?

  80. And you know, kneeling down before him, so humble, So

  81. humble was his heart that he was so ready to

  82. receive that answer. But we all read at the end

  83. when Jesus said one, because in mat Matthew he says,

  84. what do I still lack? I've kept all of this

  85. like I'm good, you know, And then Jesus is, well,

  86. what you lack is you need to sell everything, give

  87. it to the poor, Take up the cross, Take up

  88. the cross, and follow me? Which was he suffering with?

  89. What was he struggling? Take up the cross? Follow me?

  90. Or sell all your goods? Okay, all right? So which

  91. was he struggling with? So my topic for today is

  92. who or what possessed you? Or what possesses you? Who

  93. or what possesses you? All right? So as we close

  94. the year, we want to just even reflect what it

  95. has been like a year. As I reflect, what have I?

  96. What has possessed me? Has Jesus fully got a hold

  97. of me? Did I withhold anything from the Lord? So

  98. we have this story. So let me take you through

  99. the verses and then let's identify. Let's identify with the

  100. whole message here. Okay, yeah, okay, there was one rich

  101. young ruler. He came running, So let's note and yeah

  102. he came running running tells you that there is an eagerness.

  103. There is a I've been searching, and he searched. He

  104. was really wanting to hear from Jesus. His next question

  105. was what good thing shall I do that I may

  106. have eternal life? He even asked, you know, what is

  107. that that I can do to gain eternal life? And

  108. Jesus then tells him next script, next slide, Jesus tells

  109. him to obey the sixth, the seventh, the eighth, the ninth,

  110. and the fifth commandment. Wow, all right, he just didn't

  111. go back up, you know, to the This is the Lord,

  112. your god, worship.

  113. Him and no other god.

  114. He all of these involves people. Are you doing all

  115. of this? So he says, yes, he must be such

  116. a righteous young man that he's never stolen, he's never

  117. covered to her. You know, he's never committed murder, et.

  118. Cetera, et cetera, and he's he.

  119. Never bare a false witness. He's honored his father and mother,

  120. and say, I have kept all of these. So there

  121. you have a young man who really has it all

  122. together once to have eternal life.

  123. And then he asked the question. In Matthew nineteen twenty,

  124. he had.

  125. The he had the depth to say so I've kept it,

  126. So come on, Jesus, tell me, he says, what do

  127. I still like? Your s of usn't gotta search? What

  128. do we still lack? What are we lacking that if

  129. you are not where in a place where you say

  130. I'm living the fullness, if you're not living the fullness

  131. that Christ has promised us, you know, to live life

  132. and life abundantly, then what is it that I'm lacking?

  133. And so Jesus then looks at him with love. Even

  134. when he said I can't, Jesus still loved him. Amen,

  135. do I amen? Come on, hallelujah. Hey, Jesus still loved him.

  136. Jesus looked at him and loved him. Mark Chapter ten.

  137. That's that's the that's like a you know, extra information

  138. there that says loved him, loved him. God loves us.

  139. He loved him and said, do this and then take

  140. up the cross. Follow me. Amen. So he went away

  141. sad and sorrowful. Because you know, it says that he

  142. had great possessions. Perhaps some people say it wasn't that

  143. he had great possessions. Great possessions had him more like

  144. the possessions held him than he had. Because if you have,

  145. you have the choice to give it away. Right. But

  146. when something else is taken or holding you like this,

  147. then you cannot let you cannot move Ah, because if

  148. he had, he could have every right to give it away. Right.

  149. So my question we could ask, We could ask ourselves

  150. what was it there was hindering him? And this brings

  151. us to the whole issue of discipleship, because I speak

  152. firstly to believers in the room, speak to myself. A

  153. disciple of Christ is one who follows Christ, not only

  154. follows Christ.

  155. If he you know, he.

  156. Does whatever that Christ tells you to do. So this

  157. is where we get to reflect the bit as the

  158. year closes. If I'm a disciple of Christ, have I

  159. been doing you know? Have I been living my life

  160. as the Lord has led me to live this year?

  161. As I have I been following him? Yeah? And when

  162. the Lord said go go or give or don't go

  163. or reach you know, you know, do this or do

  164. that things that already written in His word? Have we

  165. done what is in the world? Now?

  166. You can only do what is in the word of God.

  167. If you have been reading the Word of God, and

  168. in other times you're praying about decision making, Should I

  169. do this? Lord is this the one is this? It

  170. is this the job da da da, and the Lord

  171. leads you. Then you cannot say you can't hear, because

  172. the Bible tells us in John chapter fIF John chapter

  173. fifteen that the that the sheep hear his voice. John

  174. chapter ten, that the sheep here his voice. Are we sheep? Yes,

  175. don't say you're not. We ain't Gold's right, but we

  176. do want to be. But yeah, we we sheep right

  177. with God's sheep, and we hear his voice. They recognize

  178. and it takes time to recognize. So every time you

  179. do your quiet time, you every time you spend time

  180. with God, you recognize. So really, I would like to

  181. look at the angle of this message or this passage

  182. of study. As he was already in the family, so yeah,

  183. he's in the he's a jew, right, so he knew

  184. all the commandments, but still lacked war, still lacking. So

  185. I like to turn this to look at in a

  186. way the angle of a disciple. We should we already

  187. are hearing, but yeah, what are we lacking? All right?

  188. Can we say? You know there's a song we sing.

  189. I am not my own. I've been bought by a price.

  190. The price is by the blood of Jesus Christ. So

  191. Jesus gave his life for us, not with silver and gold,

  192. but by the blood, his own blood. He has shed

  193. his blood for us. It's not silver and gold. He

  194. could have just given a few silver and gold and

  195. send Joel or whatever to die for you. But he didn't,

  196. Thank God, right, he went himself for us.

  197. So silver and gold is not what he did. He

  198. gave himself.

  199. So now that we come to Christ and we're walking

  200. with Christ, we're really not our own. But we've been

  201. bought by the blood of Christ. And so who do

  202. you belong to? You belong to Jesus. So I'm coming

  203. from this angle. If we belong to Jesus, then our

  204. very life's path is led by the Lord every step

  205. of the way. Amen, hallelujah. So we choose not of

  206. our own choices, but of the choice that the Lord,

  207. or of the leading that the Lord leads us. So

  208. we still have a choice to say yes Lord or

  209. no Lord, and still do our own thing. Because if

  210. we call our Jesus our master, then of course I

  211. want him to direct my life. Now this whole passage,

  212. a lot of people will say, is Jesus talking he's

  213. the main point Jesus talking about money and riches. No, lie,

  214. he's not so squarela okay, No, sue bet dealer. It's

  215. not about the money. It's not that money is bad

  216. or that this rich oh he doesn't like rich people. No,

  217. the whole point of the message is about your obedience,

  218. our salvation. Obedience leads to salvation, and that's even more precious.

  219. Your faith is so precious. That is the very thing

  220. that Satan wants to come against, to rob us of

  221. our faith and to turn our backs on God and

  222. then laugh at God's face and say.

  223. Huh, you bite the dust.

  224. No, we cannot let Satan rob our faith because our

  225. faith is so precious. Jesus went to the cross for this,

  226. went for us. Amen.

  227. He came to sit among us in darkness to give

  228. us light.

  229. Allelujah. Amen. Are we grateful? Thankful? Yes? So this young

  230. ruler I wanted eternal life, but something else was holding

  231. him that he couldn't break free. Yet it was within

  232. his power his choice to do it. So the question

  233. I want to ask us, including myself, what can hinder us?

  234. What can hinder us? So we have three piece PPPP

  235. A person or persons a place or possession. Right, these

  236. are things that can hinder us person, place, possession. So

  237. I want us to think about this. Is there anything

  238. in your life that's actually hindering you in this category that.

  239. You're not really able to live.

  240. The fullness of Christ that God has for you?

  241. Amen? Amen, the fullness.

  242. And it could be very very subtle, very very subtle,

  243. because a young man and everything he did, everything so subtle.

  244. He was really abiding young man who was hungry. And

  245. I think, you know, every time I talk to people,

  246. they'll tell me I really want to do my quiet time,

  247. but it's so difficult. Or someone will tell me and

  248. I talk to the old and the older aunties my

  249. age older than me, and he's like, I really want

  250. to read the Bible, but yeah, we're hard to get startled,

  251. we're hard to keep going. Then I say, how do

  252. you read your Bible? Can you actually read without specs?

  253. And so a lot of them can't. They just don't

  254. want to have four eyes. So they'd make the handphone bigger, bigger.

  255. But when you make your handphone bigger bigger, you you

  256. really can't read well because you don't know the start

  257. the end. Now you don't know the chapter before because

  258. it's a handphone. But at home you don't have to

  259. bring now killer, I used to bring my bible to church.

  260. I still do. But you everybody used to bring a bible,

  261. right and then you turn the pages and you really

  262. the richness of turning pages and learning chapters and you know.

  263. Versus so speaking to this lady sixty blast, and she said,

  264. every time I read a Bible fall asleep. I think

  265. the print is very small. Yes, maybe it's a free

  266. Bible or something. So I just bought her a lot

  267. of it was very expensive, but I bought a super giant.

  268. Words very big. I can't read without spects now loud. Okay,

  269. this super giant I still cannot see without my spec

  270. but he's super giant. So I thought, oh, but what

  271. was really heavy? So I bought the one that's giant.

  272. Didn't give it a super giant because I wanted to care.

  273. So I gave her a giant by I just bought it,

  274. and I said, I said, I mean, for whatever reason

  275. I bought it, I wanted to bless her, I hope,

  276. and you have the time, take time to read it.

  277. It's big, big letters. She wrote back to me yesterday

  278. and she said, I will make time to read or

  279. I appreciate us because in reading you get to follow Jesus,

  280. you get to you know, hear his word, you get

  281. to not be hindered. So I just want to say,

  282. how how can we be hindered? There's so many things.

  283. It could be a person, a place, possession, you know,

  284. a place, some of us, some people maybe not people

  285. in this room. You just want to leave Malaysia. You

  286. just want to leave Malaysia, and you just want to

  287. be working somewhere else because somewhere else is better. And

  288. so that place becomes a hindrance to you, and you're like,

  289. ayah and good for nothing, Malaysia, Please not, God, send

  290. me somewhere else. And then you know, yes, the Lord

  291. saying no, maybe the last thing. Start here and then

  292. see what happens from there. Is it a place? Is

  293. it a house that you're looking for? Is it something

  294. a place, a city, a country, of this office, this place?

  295. You know, can it hinder you just such arts? Yeah,

  296. I'm so bold to say that because doing this ministry

  297. for so long, walking my own journey, being naughty. I

  298. know sometimes it's that place I remember when I was

  299. a young adul just coming out of the world. I

  300. just say, Lord, please don't leave me here in this country. Yeah,

  301. I want to marry.

  302. Someone else from another country, then I.

  303. Can leave this country. What was I thinking? Ah? I said,

  304. he send him in the country and fly me out.

  305. You know, God has a beautiful plan for me, right,

  306. I can't see yet, by I know he is, But

  307. I'm saying to the Lord, I can't see anyone my

  308. church boring, Okay, So please send somebody in and fly

  309. me out. Not everything you get means it's God. You

  310. got to test it. And so someone did come in

  311. and wanted to fly me out, and I would be

  312. living elsewhere and I wouldn't be here because it was something.

  313. I mean, it's a Malaysia for living overseas and probably

  314. whenever come out to Malaysia. Came met me for five hours.

  315. He had lunch with me, and he said, I want

  316. to marry you can okay? Thing five hours lunch, I

  317. impressed someone so much, you my girl. So I'm like,

  318. could this be the one that will come and fly

  319. me out? Right? Woh?

  320. So I got to know the person. I flew over

  321. to the family place with the.

  322. Parents, went for the graduation and everything. I'll tell you,

  323. my face is on every family photo.

  324. As you know, I'm not married to that person. They

  325. must have burned every photo.

  326. Because the son was so sure I am the woman,

  327. and the parents very godly, very well known people. I

  328. went for the graduation. I said, it's okay, don't even

  329. to take the photo. No, you were in every photo,

  330. every photo. And then they were very very rich. I

  331. come from a very poor family, so disparity status. Whole

  332. family of doctors were nothing. In that six months of

  333. getting to know each other. While I may have said

  334. I want to have come and fly me out, but

  335. I have to test if this person follows Jesus. What's

  336. gonna hinder me a person, a place, or a possession.

  337. Is he following Christ? Right? God? No near as if

  338. I have look like Christian love follow up Christ. But

  339. in that time that I got to know him so

  340. far from the Lord, so far. The family is very strong.

  341. They're very well known, as I said, in the Christian circle,

  342. very very you know, good speakers and all that. But

  343. the child was just far and it was very difficult

  344. for me to see this future. Although I tried to

  345. build the future that when I lived there, I was

  346. already thinking if I marry I lived there, while I'm

  347. going to open up the home. I' when I have

  348. students come, already thinking I was only twenty three, had

  349. a dream because I wanted to be a missionary. This

  350. person totally says, rubbish. You will not go for missions,

  351. you will not do this. The whole family told me

  352. what to do. I said this, but most importantly, his

  353. heart was not with the Lord. And when I was

  354. there praying every ding, my quiet time, they're in their

  355. family house, the Lord spoke to me. This is when

  356. I got this word. And all of you heard this.

  357. You heard mes preacher before the Lord said, don't be

  358. unequally yoked who you're talking to. I was in this

  359. other country. I wasn't in Malaysia and I and I'm like,

  360. pray again, don't be unequally yoked. I knew that it

  361. wasn't about the faith as in Christian only, but the

  362. faith level was so far in fact, I don't think

  363. he even followed Christ just by name. I thought it

  364. was gonna be a tough toughie for you to say

  365. this to me. Show me a sign, and a lod

  366. shown me so many signs. He was so obvious, right,

  367. this is not it? It right? Although everything look very good,

  368. good family, da da da, everything, but it just didn't click.

  369. Most of all, he didn't follow the way of the

  370. Lord and how he treated me, dating me to keep

  371. to keep purity, to keep this relationship pure. No, no

  372. going all the way. This guy is pressing me for

  373. going all the way. I'm like, hey, we're gonna really

  374. be make God very angry. You know, I don't want

  375. to get pregnant and what forget you? So I said,

  376. that's it. You know. I had to stop it because

  377. a lot of things in are like very very very

  378. very difficult situation which I can't say, and I called

  379. it off. I called it off. I see, it's not

  380. because the person is very God doesn't love him. The

  381. Lord loves him, but God, he has to respond to

  382. the Lord as well, because I'm sure God is also

  383. speaking to all of us, but the Lord speaking to me.

  384. Don't be unequally yo in this case, Sandra, I have

  385. a plan for you. So sometimes a person, it could

  386. be a boss, it could be anything anyone that causes

  387. us to not fully step into the fullness of the lot.

  388. If I took that step, I can tell you. It

  389. would not have been a happy story. Not only would

  390. I not have you as family family of nas I

  391. have never known any of you, but I would also

  392. have had a broken marriage because that person, I think

  393. after it became a criminal or something like that. So honestly,

  394. it is crazy because I told him, you need to

  395. stop whatever you're doing, whatever whatever, you'd be careful. So

  396. it was very tough, but I had to step out

  397. of it. Sometimes there are things we are challenged with.

  398. Jesus say to me, Sandra, go give this up, carry

  399. the cross and follow me.

  400. Was I willing right? Because to any tree, you.

  401. Know, everybody's everybody's flapping about, you know, getting married, getting

  402. me the pressure, and now all my friends are get

  403. married and they're older than me. It was one of

  404. the younger ones. Yeah, from the pressure right, And I'm like,

  405. forget the pressure, man. I just want to follow Jesus

  406. and just step out of that relationship and then free again,

  407. no flapping wings, fly freedom.

  408. Solo.

  409. And I'm here today after other failed relationships, because you

  410. make choices and the Lord has your life. Did I

  411. make I made mistakes? Sure I did make wrong choices,

  412. but always he loved me to look at me and say, Sandra,

  413. would you sell this? Come take up the cross and

  414. follow me. I had a choice, but did I allow

  415. the person to have me? Or did I have a person?

  416. Did I have a position a possession, or did I

  417. have a place? Because I also didn't want to remain here,

  418. but that God has changed my heart. I really love Malaysia.

  419. I think it's the best country to be at. We

  420. are the right and the best people to go out

  421. as missionaries, to go out as marketplace missionaries because we

  422. can adapt so well. We can adapt like just like that.

  423. But we're so stubborn we don't go right.

  424. So what can hinder us? So is there a place

  425. in your life?

  426. Is there a person in your life, or is there,

  427. you know, just something that hinders you from actually going

  428. all the way to follow Jesus. There's going to be

  429. a time when we will have to make a decision

  430. whether you're going to go all the way with Jesus

  431. or halfway with Jesus. So this is practice time. This

  432. is practice time to follow him all the way. So

  433. it's very simple. Simple message is if Jesus is a

  434. lot of our lives, then then this is who my

  435. master is. And whom I will follow, Okay, and her

  436. possession could be many things. Yeah, it could be a

  437. possession anything you own. And one thing that we own

  438. that we all have the same same is the twenty

  439. four hours time time. You know, all of us have

  440. twenty four hours. That's also a possession. And if that

  441. is holding you back time time for the Lord time

  442. to do something, I tell you the church in the

  443. city us having a church. I'm very grateful that Jesus

  444. saved me. I think if I did not have a

  445. chance to know Christ, I would be very wayward and

  446. I would have made a lot of decisions that would

  447. be selfish and that would have cost my life and

  448. I really would know I've lived for the glory of God.

  449. I'm so grateful for the church that the moment I

  450. became a follow of Christ and the church that I

  451. grew in, and you know, wherever I was, it gave

  452. me opportunity to learn to have people speak over my life,

  453. to have people correct me, to teach me. And then

  454. the skills that I learned helped me to use it

  455. in my marketplace when I went out to work wherever

  456. it is. So, I want to say to us, God

  457. loves us unconditionally. Even if you say no to him today,

  458. he doesn't look away. He looks at you, and he

  459. loves you. He's always reaching out to us. Amen. So

  460. this story of this young, rich, young ruler walked away,

  461. and I pray that none of us have to walk

  462. away with sorrow saying I can't choose you, Jesus, because

  463. this thing has possession over me. This thing has holed

  464. over me, This possesses me. I'm not ready, I'm not able,

  465. And I understand for in initial stages because we're getting

  466. to know the Lord or you know, hearing things. But

  467. as you continue to hunger to be filled, then then

  468. that's where you lack. The lack is to fully one

  469. hundred percent give ownership to Jesus. Amen, that we have

  470. to ask ourselves and are we ready to with different things?

  471. Or say, okay, Lord, I'll give up my time to

  472. meet somebody. We'll give up our finances or is it

  473. giving up?

  474. In my case.

  475. It's my late Crusae pot. How hard I save to

  476. buy my late crusy pot? If elder can has to

  477. borrow it, I'll say no, he might send.

  478. It back to me scratched. It's a French made pot.

  479. Heavy, steady, makes a good curry, makes a good stew.

  480. It is just you know what they call the Mercedes

  481. of all cooking pots. Lake usay, this pot is just

  482. a pot. Come on, lend it to him.

  483. No, he'll kill it. How hard?

  484. I save bought it in single at a sail and

  485. carried it back how heavy.

  486. Then the Lord is going to ask me what possessed you?

  487. The part? The part?

  488. So it can be little things like this that can

  489. possess us that we we cannot let go.

  490. All right.

  491. He could be a child in your life, your child.

  492. It could be I don't know a thing, a possession anything.

  493. And I tell you what the plans of God for me.

  494. I'm walking in his eternal plans right now. Until today,

  495. the day I stepped out of my confusion and said,

  496. that's it. You know, all these relationships has been my weakness,

  497. meaning the tears that you've tried always been for.

  498. This guy, that guy there. I just said, that's you know,

  499. it's okay to be so low. I have your head

  500. be so low.

  501. So my church remembers who said you cannot be so low.

  502. Keep sending me guys. So I'm really louier for us

  503. you know, but I think I'm just a piece of

  504. girl that anybody can marry because I'm female.

  505. Hello, right, sending me Hey how about this? Is hey?

  506. How body?

  507. Hey?

  508. Very rich?

  509. I tell you, it's not about the rich or the

  510. word or the Is he after God's heart?

  511. The number one on my list? Is he really after

  512. God's heart? Because of the things that God has put

  513. on my heart as well. So I had to say no,

  514. and they all get angry with me, so picky, I say,

  515. my face so ugly. I can not find her myself.

  516. What possesses us? What's a fear? What's what's it that

  517. keeps us from trusting God? One hundred percent? And now

  518. I want to say, as the Lord said, take up

  519. the cross and follow me, lay it down, lay down

  520. the relationships and said yes. And then I could just

  521. see the day I laid down my job. I worked

  522. in this area, this is called the Golden Triangle. This

  523. is my playground for five years corporate. Before Kelsey was up,

  524. it was just a hole. Every day I walk and

  525. look at the hole. I'm thinking, what is this? What

  526. he doing? Was the race course? The race course. When

  527. I was growing up, it was a race course. This

  528. whole girls this area. Every day I will walk past

  529. girl see is bordered up and it's a hole to

  530. my office just around the corner. But they were digging deep.

  531. I suppose yeah, and uh and and and then with

  532. time came and got said. I waited so long for

  533. Jesus to call me to leave my corporate job. I

  534. thought he forgot me, you know, I thought he forgot

  535. me and that I could just marry it and Tom

  536. Dick and Harry because all the jokers that came into

  537. my life, I know, Chaser, they chased me right. But

  538. the day you laid it down and said no, I'll

  539. take up the cross I gave. I said I'm ready

  540. to go full time. I'm ready to be a missionary.

  541. I laid it down and as I stepped into it,

  542. you know, I have a family that needs my support.

  543. Both my father lost everything, my mom's babysitting. My brother

  544. still had to go to education. But they said, no,

  545. we believe this is God's calling for you at this time,

  546. and so I let go everything. I didn't have a

  547. job because I was off to the mission field. I

  548. trained as English teacher and then I went off to

  549. the field in East Europe. Eastern Europe. As I stepped

  550. into it rather than sisters. That marked what we call

  551. life and life more abundantly every step of the way

  552. until I met past, and then it got even clearer

  553. the vision. And here I am still seeking after the

  554. choices for the Lord. Amen. I'm not saying you have

  555. to go full time. I'm just saying for me, that

  556. was my call. But what's your call? Right?

  557. What is God saying to lay it down and take

  558. up the cross and follow me to.

  559. The things that He has for you? Amen? So it's simple,

  560. it's I mean, it's not easy to do it. It

  561. takes time to get there, but we must be at

  562. least aware. Is the thing that possess you the Lord

  563. as your master? Or is it the wealth? Or is

  564. it the person or a place you have in mind?

  565. What is it? Okay? We have to reflect on this

  566. carefully as we step in because we want to live

  567. every day for Jesus every day. So it's about our obedience.

  568. Come on, it's about our obedience. Our Christian faith is

  569. a faith and a walk of obedience. As you say

  570. yes to this, then you wait on the Lord and

  571. he take to you the next step yes, and the

  572. next step. Okay, Amen, it's an obedience, it's our salvation

  573. and and there comes a whole package of the fullness

  574. of God. Brother and sisters in Christ, we are to

  575. live to the fullness, to the abundant life of Christ.

  576. There is his promise. But if you are living the

  577. lass or the lack, I want to implore you to

  578. look to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask him, Lord,

  579. what do I still lack? And he let him reveal

  580. to us, to you personally, what is it so that

  581. you will walk in your abundant life? God is not

  582. The abundant life is the complete freedom to walk, to

  583. freedom to walk, and and you know, not having anything,

  584. no need to explain yourself. That's why for our our

  585. foundings in your past, he never explains himself. Bad things

  586. can happen, good things can happen. He never explains himself

  587. to try to explain to you why you should believe

  588. in this. You see it, you take it because there's

  589. nothing to hide, there's nothing to hide. You can blame

  590. it on him, you can say this and that, but

  591. he walks in just obedience. And that's why the things

  592. we do we're so strange sometimes and why you want

  593. to grow small, to grow big. But yet the church

  594. started in house of the house of the house of

  595. the house. Why this is why he doesn't walk with

  596. anything on his shoulder, you know, looking back behind our

  597. pastor walks just I know because I live with him

  598. so hard. You know, everything news, No, it's like a

  599. below can no no eyes again, no, no, thank you Gods.

  600. But but I can't see I live with him. If

  601. you ask me, does he do it quiet time? Oh,

  602. my goodness, for hours. I'm waiting more. I want to ask,

  603. so so I cannot. I want to know, so are

  604. you every girl? Because the door is closing on me

  605. and peep through door. Now he's decided to close the

  606. whole door because I pep hours already I did my

  607. quiet time, love, but not for love to want to

  608. because I'm the wife. I have to do a house work,

  609. I have to make the breakfast ready, I have to

  610. do all these things, you know. And he says this,

  611. he leaves it. He's in his quiet time. He does it.

  612. If I hear him pray for the church partners, the

  613. prayer list that comes out on our telegram. Praise. That's

  614. why I love for hours. I too, I didn't pray

  615. for everybody. I pray for some by one. Sorry, I

  616. shall reflect on this. He prays, worship, reads and listens

  617. to the reader the Bible. What you audio as well,

  618. worship done this, he's just gone higher. He's just taking

  619. it up. So I cannot disturb him because he's talking

  620. to Jesus. So I have to wait. If you live

  621. freely without any anything to hide, you don't explain yourself.

  622. You live the truth every day. You live in the

  623. plans that God has, you don't have to say. Oh,

  624. you try to explain why you do this, trying to

  625. make an excuse, or you think what you think is

  626. a reason. But if you're clear, you're clear, crystal clear,

  627. it's nothing to explain. You take it or leave it.

  628. This is what you get. That's what Jesus is saying

  629. to him. Just go sell everything. You're saying what you

  630. lack because you lack me. When you give up all this,

  631. you have me. You know, there's an old song we

  632. used to sing. You remember, but I wish you Jesus.

  633. I wish you everything. Every time I wish you Jesus,

  634. I wish you everything in Christ is everything. I can't

  635. remember the song now, but I remember singing it all

  636. the time. He says, wed, I wish you Jesus, I

  637. wish you everything everything, and that's what God wanted. Jesus

  638. wanted the young man to experience everything. But how to tell, right,

  639. So we have to tell him. I go tell everything,

  640. take up the cross, follow me, and then experience the

  641. fullness of Christ. And that's what I want all of

  642. us to experience as well in our own faith work

  643. with Jesus. Amen, Jesus calls us to come and follow

  644. him to be his disciples. Simple, right, it's not very

  645. difficult message, right, you can get it. But what possesses

  646. you that stops you from fully surrendered, being surrendered to

  647. the Lord and to live every day with Jesus. I'm

  648. not talking to you like I got it right. Yeah,

  649. I speak to because of my own adventure and journey

  650. with Christ. Of yeah, I really let go of the pod,

  651. or you know I have to, or just sometimes afraid

  652. of different people. Then sometimes I really don't want to

  653. see someone because it's so difficult to handle the conversation,

  654. but I need to, so I allow fear to possess

  655. me in too. Therefore I don't reach that person. So

  656. we have many fears or many things that can hinder

  657. us from overcoming the lack. Come on, Church. This man

  658. had a right question. He asked the right question, what

  659. do I still lack?

  660. If you've done everything already, you should be the freedom.

  661. You're walking on sunshine? Yeah, yeah, sunshine so so N

  662. s H I N E sun shine, not as u

  663. N s O N. You're walking on sunshine, the freedom

  664. of God and just experiencing his you know, his faithfulness,

  665. his beauty, his fullness, he's healing, his his grace over circumstances.

  666. We all have difficult circumstances, amen, I mean not a

  667. man ouch. We all have difficult right and I know

  668. family to take care of. I had to take care

  669. of my dad in his last days on earth. I

  670. to take care of him for months years. I have

  671. to take him to the hospital, you know, I have

  672. to work in the hospital and wait with him. All

  673. of us will have one day to take care of

  674. our parents, one way or another. So it's a privilege, right,

  675. But it's tough. Sometimes you are alone going to the

  676. hospital with your parents. Sometimes you don't have anyone to

  677. support you. But because people are busy, you can do it.

  678. So you do it. I could do it, so I

  679. did it. So out of saying is the Lord has

  680. the fullness for us, And with every step of the way,

  681. there is a grace of God for you to walk

  682. in that situation. And that is what we want you

  683. to experience, the grace, the generosity of God. That's what

  684. grace means, the generosity of God to give you a

  685. sufficient strength to walk through that circumstance. Amen. Amen. So

  686. as simple as that, just think about what is it

  687. that is stopping you, holding you back from your full

  688. ability to experience and open heaven place person possession. And

  689. sometimes it's tight to you know, the age old problem.

  690. I can't forgive. I am offended. You gottally deal with it.

  691. Luck is in come to the Lord and ask for

  692. strength to let go of the offense, to forgive, because

  693. it is a promise that we must do. As crisis

  694. done for us. He forgave us so graciously, so we

  695. too can buy the strength of God forgive those who

  696. have very very badly hurt us, offended us, stole from us,

  697. robbed from us. I don't know, said all kinds of things.

  698. It's so hard, like they don't deserve my love It's okay.

  699. You forgive, you then can receive God's love to give love. Amen. Amen.

  700. And so it was a good question. Sometimes we should

  701. ask ourselves, not quiet time, Lord, where do I lack

  702. the anything that you know? And you know in your

  703. heart what you like love? It's small or bignessn't matter,

  704. you know. But it's just asking the Lord. And I

  705. tell you he will whisper into your heart. And you

  706. know he will whisper with gentleness and kindness and guide

  707. you through it. Amen. Hallelujah. So may we all step

  708. into walking with the Lord as his disciples. This really

  709. is a discipleship, a discipleship message. Whose disciple are you?

  710. If you belong to the Lord, the Lord, you're following Christ,

  711. then whatever Christ does, you and I will do. If

  712. he if he he fed the poor, we feed the poor.

  713. If he if he touch the leopard, heal the leopold,

  714. we will do that as well. Do we dare? Do

  715. we dare?

  716. Take God at every step of his word.

  717. I have to do that. I'm praying for healing, you know,

  718. for a particular thing. I'm just asking the Lord, the Lord,

  719. do I go and see the doctor for this to

  720. remove this this or do you wait? But even if

  721. you send me there, it's still the Lord who has

  722. to do the final healing. So you know, I believe

  723. that God is my healer. Amen. I believe that He's

  724. the one who provides for me financially or whatever that

  725. the need is, or to take care of the situation

  726. that I'm in. Sometimes we forget, so sorry, remind you

  727. the Lord never forgets, and the Lord Love will look

  728. at you and love you as you speak to him.

  729. He loves you, and even if you say I'm not ready,

  730. he'll still love you while there is time. But don't

  731. wait too long to do the bidding that means to

  732. do the Lord's ask you to do. Do it when

  733. there's time, because there will be a common time and

  734. there won't be the grace anymore because we have to respond.

  735. And I pray that we choose Christ every day, choose

  736. Jesus every day to follow him. Amen, hallelujah, So may

  737. our hearts we open to the Lord as we can

  738. the year. As you step into a new day in

  739. just a couple of weeks, would you want those things

  740. to possess you or do you want to be the

  741. one who says has a choice to say no or

  742. yes to do something. Don't let things hold you. You

  743. should be the one that dictates to the thing, so

  744. that doesn't dictate your life. Amen. You have the right,

  745. the authority in Christ to say no. I don't have

  746. to step into that. It just says I had to

  747. choose to say no to those that relationship, that relationship

  748. because the Lord spoke, I had to listen and I

  749. didn't have to say Nola. It's this whole culture, this

  750. whole pressure. Am I allowing a peer pressure to pressure me?

  751. Or do I step out and go like no, I

  752. don't live under peer pressure. I live under the Master

  753. Jesus Christ. So the choice is mine. Amen.

  754. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
