We hope this message will light up your day.

What I'm going to share with all of us is

the word trust. Okay, trust, because why all this things

happened is because the trust has been compromised. Okay, So trust,

I think all of you know what it means.

Okay.

It's a word that we often use, but we hardly practice. Okay,

if you're honest enough, you will agree with me.

Okay.

We always say that, yeah, I trust, I trust so

and so, I trust this and this. But a lot

of times our trust is probably thirty forty percent, fifty percent.

It has never been one hundred percent. Okay.

And trust is easy when life is predictable, correct. But

trust become difficult when things are not easy. And same

comes to our faith in a word with God. It

became difficult when God does not explain himself and when

outcome is unclear, or when the processes feels uncomfortable. Okay,

And trust become hardest when God asks us to release control.

So all of us struggle with trust, all of us,

including myself.

Okay.

So when it comes to our own faith, okay, all

of us here, I can say, all of us here,

we do not struggle to believe.

That God exists.

Whether you are a Christian or not, all of us

believe that God exists, right, Okay, So we believe that

God exists, but we struggle to believe that God is sufficient,

that God is enough. We know that God exists. But

if I say that God is enough for you, God

is sufficient for you. God's grace is sufficient for you,

do you believe We struggle, including myself, Okay, we struggle

to believe that God is enough to lead us. We

struggle to believe that God is enough to provide for us.

We struggle to believe that God is enough to sustain

us when we cannot see what is ahead of us. So, yeah,

you know, Tree more days twenty twenty six. So before

we begin to start another new list of resolution for

twenty twenty six, let's take a moment to pause and

reflect for the past one year twenty twenty five and

start to ask ourselves. In this year, at which point

of your journey did you stop surrendering fully to God.

You know, in the beginning of the year you write

your resolution, right, you have your plan, Right, at which

point in time did you stop fully surrendering to God.

And at which juncture did you begin to rely more

on your own understanding than in God? And then the

question the next thing that you have to reflect upon,

did you truly trust God to see you through your

every season? You may say that, yeah, God, I trust you,

But here you are working very hard with your own strength,

trying to solve the issue which you cannot, which you

know you cannot.

So do you really trust God?

Right?

So, this morning, before we end twenty twenty five, and

before we step into twenty twenty six, let's learn about

how to trust God again, restoring the trust that we

have towards God, not only as a savior to us,

but a trust that is central on our discipleship journey

with Him. So before I go into you know, the whole,

the whole sermon on trust, first let's look at the definition. Okay,

So I have a definition that what is trust? Okay,

So I always like to wait, never come on nothing, okay,

never mind, materials will do some magic.

Okay.

So before we go the look at the screen there. Okay,

So I actually did a comparison on the definition number

one from dictionary.

Okay, So all of us always want to find.

Definition, we will go to dictionary, right, and then we

will look into the meaning from the Old Testament, okay,

and the meaning in the New Testament.

Okay.

So in dictionary, the meaning of trust means a firm

belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone. Okay,

So this is from dictionary dot com. So it's a

firm belief in the reliability. So this definition tells us

something very important. Trust is not based on our own emotion.

It's based on the reliability of it. Okay, yeah, all right,

So that is the meaning from the dictionary. So you

trust someone not because you feel calm about it, but

because you know that person is dependable. So if I

say that I trust Abby to teach me keyboard, it's

because I trust that she has the ability to teach

me keyboard. Can I say that I trust Illah to

teach me keyboard, but she herself don't know how to

play keyboard? So do you think I will be able

to trust her to teach me that? Maybe I will

trust her to teach me how to climb up the okay, whatever.

Thing is that she's very good in climbing, which I

very scared. Okay, Yeah, So we trust a person because

we know that person is dependable, it's reliable.

Okay. So that is the world view of trust.

Let's look it into the dictionary, okay, in the Old Testament.

So the Old Testament, the word trust I take from

this scripture from Proverbs chapter three, verse five.

Okay, prow the tree was five.

Here it says trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and lean not on your own understanding. So the word

trust come from the Hebrew with butter, okay, And that

means to rely on, to feel secure, to place full

confidence in, to lean your weight upon. So this is

not a casual leaning, but it's putting on your full

weight on something knowing that it will not give weight.

So for example, how many of you, when you sit

down on this chair, you will start to look and

then you start to shake. Okay, no, right, the moment

you see your chair, you straightway. Why do you trust

a chair so much? Because you know that this chair

is able to hold your weight. And this is exactly

the definition of trust in the Old Testament, that you

trust it so much that you don't need to examine

God totally, and you just put your full weight on

God and say that Lord I trust in you.

Now.

That is the trust that we need to have, okay,

which is an active dependence on God. So the question

to you is do you have the active dependence on God?

Do you put your full weight on God? All right?

So that is from the Old.

Testament and in the New Testament, okay, all right. Taken

from John chapter three, verse sixteen, which is, no, this

scripture is not foreign to all of us. It says, okay,

for God so loved the world that he gave his

only son, that whoever believed in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life. And from Romans chapter ten, verse nine,

he says, if you confess with your mouth the Lord

Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised

him from the day, you will be safe. So it

is taken from the Greek word associated with the word

trust is. This is pronounced as peace teo.

Okay.

When I first look at this word, I'm like, how

to pronounce The first word that comes to my mind

when I look at this word is pistachio. Okay, probably

I'm hungry when I'm writing this, Okay, So it's pronounced

as peace teo okay. The great word which means to believe,

to entrust oneself, to commit fully, not commit partially, and

to rely upon Okay. So that is what Jesus often said,

believe in me, and he's not asking all of us

here to merely agree with him. Okay, he didn't say

agree with me, but he says, what believe in me?

To entrust your life to him. And that comes to

one word, which is total surrender.

So we can see that the word trust.

Okay, it's not just only being, not just knowing that

God is reliable. We know that we can depend on

him when we fully surrender ourselves to him. So that

is the word trust. So my question to you, do

you trust him? All?

Right?

So today my sermon is taken mainly from Proverbs chapter three,

verse five to six. Okay, I always like to read

from New Living Translation because the English is so simple

for our own understanding, okay, that it will help us

to understand the word better. So I'm going to read

to you from the New Living Translations Proverbs chapter three,

worse five to six. It says, here, trust in the

Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your

own understanding. Okay, seek his will in all you do,

and he will show you.

Which path to take.

Very easy, right, so easy to understand, but it is

so difficult to follow all right, because you know, when

I was teaching in Little Legends, I always get the.

Children to memorize this scripture.

Because I always believe that if I want to teach

the children about God, I need to teach them to

depend on God.

You know.

I always tell them that. They will always tell me what, teacher,

my mommy is sick. I say, pray and believe that

God will heal your mommy. I always tell them that,

but in my heart, it's like, Lord, you better heal themmmy.

Okay.

If not, they will say that this is just Lena

black them one. Okay, but they believe, they trust wholeheartedly.

That is the childlike faith that we should have. And

one of the things that I always remember till today,

and I always joke about it, was this. When I

was teaching in the first two years in Little Legends,

I actually injured my leg. I usually will play very

rough with the kids during the break time. So that

particular week, the kids wanted to play with me, and

then he wanted to sit on my lamb, and then

he wanted to jump all over me. I told her no, no, no, no, no, no, no,

cannot because just Lena's lake is painful.

Then they look at me, teacher, can't pray for you?

And then child was like only four years old, no,

three years old at that time. Very young, okay, so

very young, wish miss. They do not know a lot

of prayer. They probably don't even know.

How to pray.

And then they said, the teacher cannot pray for you.

I say, sure, and guess what the kid did. I

sat down. The kid lay hand on my leg.

Thank you Jesus for the food that's sit into our body.

I'm like, za, why are you praying? I'm not the foot.

Then he looked at me, but I'm praying to God

to heal your leg. I say, but yeah, that one

is grace. You know, you only pray when you're eating food.

Butcher's it's not a food, all right. But to him

is that is prayer. And he said that when I prayed,

God will heal you. So I said, okay, even though

there is a you know, a meal time prayer, but

never mind. The child has faith. He prayed and he believed.

And after he prayed and he asked me, teacher is

your leg better. I don't know how to respond, but

I say years better. But let's continue to pray. Okay.

So this is the childlike faith. They may not know

what exactly they are praying. Perhaps to them that is

the only prayer.

And later on I have more stories of things that

kids that have child like faith.

But do we have that kind of childlife faith to

really trust God with all our hearts? You know? I

also have kids who say that, you know, teacher, I

want to pray for so and so, and the child

went our Father in heaven, Hello, it be your name,

your kingdom come or will be done. They don't know

how to pray other kind prayer like how we adults

will pray. But the child only know the Lord's prayer.

And that is powerful enough because that is the faith

that the child has. And the child really totally surrendered

and trusted God with all his heart, knowing that God

is able to heal. So, yeah, the first line here

trust in the Lord with all your heart. That is

the first part of the scripture. But do we really

trust God with all our hearts? Perhaps a lot of

us adults, right, we have a lot of things that

is in our life.

That stop us to totally.

Give all our heart to God. A lot of us

stop trusting God with our salvation. Only we say that Lord,

you are my savior. That's it, But not with all

our heart.

Okay.

So sometimes we say that we have a lot of

excepts in our life. We will say that God, I

will trust you in this part of my life, in

that part of our life except Okay, sometimes we couldn't

even say that, Lord, I trust you with my future,

or Lord, I cannot trust you with my finances, or Lord,

I cannot trust you with my kids. I cannot trust

you with this, I cannot trust you with that. But

the rest I'm fine. Right.

All of us have our accepts.

So when we say that we want to trust God

with all our hearts, we need to remove the excepts.

We do not trust God partially. In his scriptures stated

very clearly he wants us to surrender fully. And one

of the things that God reminded me is this he

is not interested in being consulted. Remember, we often have issue, right,

we will go to like some people who are more professional.

So for example, okay, I want to know how to

advertise the program in my company, I will go to

draw Loyd, Okay, because he perhaps has more experiencing that

I will consult him.

Okay. If I want to ask about.

Music, I'll go to Abbi, Okay, I will consult her.

I want to know about banking, I'll go to Auntie Julie, Okay,

I will consult her.

Okay.

We will go to professionals in the field to consult people.

But that is not what God wants. God doesn't want

us to go to him only to consult him. He

wants us to acknowledge him. He wants us to partner

what partner together with him in our journey. He wants

to take part in every area of our life, and

not just a portion.

So don't go to God.

And say that God, do you think I should Okay?

What is the most common thing we usually go to God? God,

do you think that I should change my job? And

then consult ready not listening, and then boss, here's my resignation. Okay,

And God haven't even said anything. You just consult God?

Or maybe yeah, you hear God say that? No wait first,

wait God, but then the person is chasing me to

sign the offer letter ready and amla and Amala?

You've got any problem that is consultation and God is

not interested in it. He wants us to involve him

fully when he say wait, we wait. When he said no,

it's a no. So that is how we involve him. Okay,

So later in the second part of the scripture, it says,

lean not on your own understanding. Wow, this is the

hardest thing for all of us. Lean not on your

own understanding. I'm the first one that fail because why

because I'm very impatient. I want to do things quick.

So I always like, I think this is the right way.

I just go, I just do, and I forget. I

even forget to consult God. Okay, a lot of us

we tend to lean on our own understanding. But what

did the scripture say, lean not on your own understanding?

Because we only trust God with a portion of our life, right,

we often go into self dependence. Okay, don't do that.

That is not what God wants. We need to learn

to surrender totally our life. But I'm not telling all

of us here. Don't use your brain, don't use your wisdom.

You still use your brain, You still use your wisdom.

God give us brain, God give us knowledge. God give

us wisdom to use it, but as you use it,

you need to surrender. Don't say that God give me

knowledge and wisdom.

Word I use it lander.

I don't need to pray anymore, right, I can say that, Yeah,

change job. Ah, Yeah, I know I'm doing the right way.

I no need to ask God.

No such thing. You still have to ask God. You

still have to learn to surrender.

Because only God will know what is best and when

is the right timing to make the switch, even though

you may have full experience in it. Okay, Why so

I give you an example. It is just like wyte

versus memory. Okay, even though I know waste it's not

the best. Ah, but I use the word waste.

Okay.

So imagine you insist on driving using your memory instead

of waste because you know the way so well. Okay,

like for example, from uh or escape back to your

own house.

You know the way very well.

You don't even need to switch on ways and you

know how to go back. You know. I have a

friend that I used to ask the person. Every time

the person drives, he will turn on the waists. Did

I say, but you know the way back? Why you

turn on the waste? For what you phone got a

lot batteries it. Then he was saying, no, no, I

just want to see which is the fastest route to

go back, or see where I got rope block or

where got accident or where god you know whatever, so

that I can take alternative. But a lot of us

we don't do that because we know the way home right,

So we don't do that, okay, So sometimes we are

so confident that we will probably end up going to

the wrong route because sometimes also because our when we

drive right, we will go an autopilot right, you know

the way, but somehow you ended up in the wrong route,

or maybe you know the way you go until that

certain road and then there is off cycle. Then you're like,

I think I better turn leftla, or I think I

better turn right. In the end, you get lost, okay.

So it's just like ways can see the route. We

cannot see. So that's why why we turn on right.

We know how to reroute, or ways will often tell

you rerouting, take alter the thief route and then you

will save five minutes.

Right.

For those of you who use waste, you will know this.

Waste like to do this, and I hate it because

I always ended up lit. Okay, Yeah, so ways will

see the because of GPS, it can see the road

better than us, clearer than us. And also because different

one will ta tech are Okay, but if you know

how Google met works, it sees and overwheel same thing.

God see the area in our life that we cannot see.

God see a bigger picture. So trusting him means letting

him reroute us to the right path. We may we

may think that we know our life so well that

we don't need God. We may think that Lord, I

already know which path I should take. You ready, I

don't need you to reroute us. It can be wrong

because we do not know what is the next cycle

in front of us that will cause us to derail. Okay,

So sometimes when God reroutes us, we may not understand

why he wants us to take a certain path. Have

you experience this that got us you to take a

certain path and you don't understand, and then you're like,

you sure, God, You're sure you want.

Me to go into this company? You're sure? Right. A

lot of times.

It's not asking you to go into a company, but

a lot of time it's asking you not to go

to a certain place to a certain country, to a

certain company, to a certain school, to a certain relationship.

Sometimes we cannot understand, but it's okay. Just follow right

ways will probably lead you to a date end. But

God waste will never lead you to a d end.

It's always to a victorious path. Sometimes it will take longer,

Sometimes it will cost you a lot.

Of uncomfortable path.

Sometimes it may even cost you to doubt that did

I hear God clearly? But let me tell you that

based on my own personal journey, I can tell you

that lot that never you the Lord never feels, and

every single journey that He leads us to is always victorious.

So maybe this year you have a.

Lot of things that you are thinking you wanted to change,

and you say that God, I waited long enough.

I think I don't want to wait anymore. Don't give up.

Don't give up, keep on waiting, keep on acknowledging. Certain

waiting may probably take you one month. Certain waiting may

take you one year. Certain waiting may take you a

few years.

Don't give up.

Keep trusting him, keep acknowledging him. That is the third

part that I wanted to say from this scripture. In

all your ways, acknowledge him. What is acknowledging Acknowledging? It's

not like just like Hi God, and then you go away.

No.

Acknowledging means accepting and admitting that God is real, and

he is almighty, he is able, and he is all knowing.

You need to acknowledging. You need to acknowledge who God is.

And the question I'm going to ask you is who

God is in your life?

Is it God just.

And a.

What you call it?

A great, great being that you just worship, that's it?

Or God is your friend, your comforter, your director, the

driver of your life. That's someone that you can lean on.

One thing about our God, our Christ Jesus, is he

is not so high and mighty that we cannot reach

out to him.

Our God wants.

A relationship with us, So we need to acknowledge his

presence in our life. So ignore God also means that

we can.

Trust him totally.

Trust That is not just a Sunday practice, but a

daily posture. So what does it mean by a daily posture?

You can trust him in your waiting, you can trust

him in your decision making. You can trust him in uncertainty.

You can trust him in obedience. So it is the

choice to invite God into your everyday life and conduct.

It is to practice the presence of God in the

regular and sometimes the mundane things that happen every day.

So trust God every day. You know, every single day

I start my journey to work, I pray very hard.

You know why, I pray very hard my journey from

my house to my office, the whole journey. I tell you,

if it's not because of God, I do not know

how many times I will enter into accident because everybody

just I don't know why they drive like that. But yeah,

and I'm just on my road to work, and I

tell you multiple times people will just suddenly cut into

my lane and somehow, without me knowing, I break in

time and I didn't cause any accident and I didn't

bang into anybody. And that is how much I can

trust God with my life in my journey to work.

But can I also trust God in my journey, in

every single part of my journey in my life, knowing

that He would take care of me.

So you may think that, yeah, it's.

Just driving to work, what's so great about it.

It's very great.

Because a lot of things can happen just on your

journey to work. So we kept We also need to

trust God through our worship, unto him, through our prayer,

through our reading of words, and by talking to him

and listen to what you got to say.

Right, So that is what we need to do. That

we always have to.

Acknowledge Him to lead us to the right direction. So

for a person like me who is not very well

worse with direction, right, I cannot drive up without ways

on and I can tell you from passa or sk

to go back home, right, I still have to turn

on my ways to remember the way to go home

because otherwise I do not know where I will end up.

Right.

So if we always turn on to waste to lead

us to a place that we want to go, how

much more we need to turn on which is to

tune in too God to know the right direction to go.

Because if you.

Don't turn on our ears and incline to his voice,

turn on our ears to listen to his word, how

sure are.

You that you are going the right direction? Right?

So, as you learn to let go your own dependence,

you let go and let God take the wheel. And

when you do that, you are acknowledging that God is

in control and when God is in control doesn't mean

that you'll be passive and sit down and shake like Ah.

You still need to talk to God. You need to

acknowledge him through your prayer and the reading of his word.

So acknowledging God means God take the will. It means

that He is the driver.

You are not.

And when he is the driver, be assured that he

will be driving you towards the direction he wants you

to go. Sometimes you may not understand, but when he

leads you to the direction, it's always to the path

of fulfillment of his will and into the room and

what is right before him and what is what he

wants you to do that pleases him. But we will

say that, yeah, Jesus take the will. But a lot

of times were very scared where God's going to direct

our path?

Right? Sometimes we very scared.

Wow, if Jesus were to take the will time, I

don't know where God's going to bring me. I do

not know what entails, I do not know what to expect.

So that's why a lot of times were very scared

to say that, Jesus, you will be done.

Were very scared to say Jesus take the will.

We will say that God, you drive for the first hour,

I will take away the second hour.

You know how we drive long, this is right.

We will always tell the copilot okay, I will drive

the first hour.

The second hour you drive up. Okay.

We always have a corpilot, and we always want to

be Jesus' corp pilot. Jesus said, no, I don't need

a corpilot. Let me be the driver. Let me take

over your will, okay, so that I will lead you

to the right direction. So if we say that no, God,

I will be the driver, you just should hold the

mat for Mela. If you want to be the driver

and only asking God to hold the map for you.

This is basically to say that you know you're having

a partial surrender, partial trust, because if you're the driver,

even though Jesus is holding the map and Jesus say

you need to turn left, you will tell God noa

I right is faster, you will still go the other

way because why the power is in your hand. It's

not in God's hand right, So that is not what

God's run. So don't be afraid. We may not know

what entails, and we also know that God never promises

that you know in this journey of faith, there will

be no obsectles, there will be no way thing, there

will be no hardship in each part of the Bible.

If you say that God.

Says that in your faith journey there will be no hardship,

show me, hey, show me. If you read the whole

New Testament, you will realize that everyone who.

Works with Jesus there is hardship.

But I can tell you God's promises is always towards

the better, which is eternal life. His promises is that

when he leads us in our path, it's always purposeful.

We want to live a purposeful life, right, You want

to live a hopeful life.

You want to have a great future. Right, trusting God and.

Is what God's promises and his promises are always yes

and amen. So when we put our trust in God,

we can go forward in peace. Okay, we can believe

that through His word, through the leading of the Holy Spirit,

through the counsel of our leaders, our pastors, our disciples,

and through Godly common sense and through life circumstances, our

path will be mixed straight. So that is how much

you can trust God.

So I'm just going to.

Share with you a very short testimony or the journey

of my twenty twenty five. So if I have one word,

you know, to describe my year, I will say that

the light at the end of the tunnel is finally

shining brighter.

Okay, why is that?

So? My year has not been easy. It has been tough,

it has been rough, It has a lot of challenges.

But through it all I've seen how got moved in

my life. And all I can say is that's God's

grace is truly sufficient for me, and it never runs right.

So twenty five, for those of you who came for

prayer service or those who have spoken to me through thrue,

dinners and lunches and whatnot, you will have always heard

me saying that, you know, ah, my life is busy.

My work is very hectic, my study is crazy. Everything

is just what was crazy?

Okay? So everything was hectic, Okay, whether it's.

My world, my study, my ministry, my family, everything was

very hectic. And many times I caught myself trying to

take things into my own hand, and I was really exhausted.

I was burned out.

And I remember very clearly that I was telling God that,

you know, Lord, I don't think I can't do it anymore.

And I always imagine myself, you know, digging hole and

just burying myself inside so that nobody can see me.

You know, I just want to hide, you know, if

I'm a if I'm at this, I probably will be

hiding inside my shell so that nobody can see me. No,

that was my heart cry to God for the past

one year. It's like, no, Lord, enough, I cannot take

it anymore.

Enough.

But you know, our God is really a very funny God.

When I tell him enough, right, this is what God

told me, I want you to level up. I'm like, God,

you're crazy. I really tell you enough and you tell

me to level up? And God say that, no, I

want you to step up?

Like in what is it?

I got?

Not?

I have not enough things to do on my plate,

not enough worry, not enough burden, not enough heart, you

know stress. You still want me to level up? And

God say, yes, I want to. I want you to

level up. In your quiet time with me, I try.

I can tell you I struggled because time is really

not on my side and because of different things. My

brain is always tired. And when my brain it's always tired.

The first thing that comes to my mind is sleep.

How to do quiet time right when you're so sleepy?

But God said no, read the word of God. Read,

So I struggled. I resisted. I told God that no,

I don't want more things, but eventually I oweit.

You know, I do as what God tells me.

So when I look at it right, it's the same

scenario that how I always dragged my feet to work

out when I was so tired, but I still went anyway.

And then after the workout, right, I always tell Wow,

I feel so refreshed after workout, but then I go

back I trash. No, Okay, it's always very refreshed after

the workout. For those of you who work out, your

will understand no matter how big you are, after you

go for a run or jim, you will feel refreshed.

It's the same thing.

I dragged my feet to do my quiet time, but

when I came out from my quiet time, I came

back feeling refreshed.

I felt like, Wow, God, you have just lifted my burden.

So that is what God did in my most dowmb moment.

God refreshes me daily through his word. God helped me

through every season when I could not carry myself anymore.

He hold me tight. He taught me to let go.

He taught me to surrender, He taught me to trust,

and he showed me that with him in my plan,

I will succeed. So most of you know I recently

graduated from my master in education. Okay, So maybe to

a lot of you, having a master is easy, busy

la lemon squeeze, or maybe to most of you is like, yeah,

what is master degree? Right? Master degrees like having a

couple of zoos in your hand. So easy, okay, But

it really meant a lot to me because when I

started my master after the first semester, right, I asked myself,

why did I even sign up to study?

It's like, you know what, why I make this choice?

You know?

But I remember when I made this choice.

I remember very clearly that God say that, yeah, go

heit and do Okay, if you want, go ahead and

do it, then that's why I sign up.

But when I started doing that, there.

Was a lot of chaos in my life that I

really wanted to give up. I told God that Lord,

should I just withdraw from this cause? And God said, no,

press on, But I don't got that, Lord, I really cannot.

You want me to write tisses. I do not know

how to write teases. I do not know how to write,

and I didn't get in sufficient data. I do not

know how to use the software. A lot of I

don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

But God say trust me.

So I trusted him, and I can tell you that

I mean, I will be honest with you. I actually

get AI to assist me in my writing. But as

much as check jipity can help me, nothing compared.

I write, I write, and I thought that okay, I write. Ready,

chet Chipity help me to check the check everything okay,

I thought, I don't right, I thought I can submit

to my supervisor.

I went to sleep, and then the next morning I

woke up.

I think it's incorrect. I'm like, I just wanted to

Why is it incorrect? In my brain?

I cannot be my I just followed exactly the steps

it is SPSS. It's actually a software to analyze data.

Because I do not know, I need the step by step. Okay,

what Again? I went checked, and I realized that true

be there. And all this is all based on the

prompting of the Holy Spirit. It is you see that

how God want to be involved, not just in my

spiritual life, but in my daily life as well. And

that is how I trusted God to help me finish

everything that I needed to do. So, if you ask me,

was it either helped you that succeed No? It is God.

It is tragipity that helps me with all the content. No,

it is God. When I was stuck in getting data,

I do not know where else to go.

God gave me.

Idea where to send, who to send, what to send.

And that is what God has taught me. So that

is how the Holy Spirit has assisted me when I

totally surrendered to him. So it is God that helped

my hands until the finishing line. So I can only

testify that my compassion is all the work of God.

And if it's not because of Him, I will not

be able to finish my master's and finish it with

flying colors. When I get my result, I'm not impossible.

I'm not I don't think I deserve this result. But

it is God who gave. It is God who helped

so Probabs Chapter sixteent WVERSDT three. It says that commit

your actions to the Lord and your plan will succeed.

I commit my study to him. He helped me to succeed.

And this bring me to the to the last part

here in Jeremiyat, to the nine verse eleven, he says

that for I know the thoughts that I think towards you,

says the Lord, the thought of peace, not of evil,

to give you a.

Future and a hope.

So sometimes show our season and circumstances, we may find

it hard to trust God. Or maybe when we begin

to trust him, our journey seems towards the worst end.

God may seems quiet when we pray. But in this scripture,

it reminded us that God did not forget about us.

He always think about us, and not just only about us.

He thinks towards us. It means that God cares for

each and every one of you. God didn't just think, oh,

I have this creation discretion, discretion, discretion, and that's it.

No, God created all of us. He think about us.

He thinks towards us. He have careful thoughts over us.

He have deep taught ab our future how it should be.

He has deep taught about which journey we should take

and how much God cared about us. So this scripture,

if you read from Jeremiah, you know that this is

a scripture that God has given a promise to the

israel Israelites in exile when they have lost their homeland,

and God did not say to them that you know,

I will remove you immediately from this situation, but insaid

God said to them, I still have a plan.

And same thing God is telling all of us.

God has a plan for all of us because He's

thought is always towards us, which is of peace and

not evil, to give us a future and a hope.

So if you're thinking that you know, maybe your journey

has no more future and you have lost hope. Let

me tell you that God is at work in restoring that.

All you need to do is to trust him. Maybe

you have prayed very very hard and God seems and

remember that silence does not mean abandonment. He is still present,

He is still purposeful. Trust and believe that God is working.

So it's the same thing like in an exam in

an exam hall, right, for those of you who have

been to exams before, the teacher in the exam hall

is usually silent. Right, will the teacher keep on talking

doing your exam? No, the teacher is always silent, but

the teacher is never absent. The teacher is always there

making sure that you are doing all right.

Same thing.

God may be silent in your test currently, but He

is always there to make sure you're doing all right.

Because ultimately God is going to turn your test into testimony.

So always remember the song that we always sing on Sunday.

Even when you don't see it, God is working, even

when you don't feel it. God is working. He never stopped.

God never stopped working. God is always working. God is

always making sure that all of us are all right right,

So six, challenge yourself. Do I trust God? Will I

am I willing to trust God.

All over again?

Trust is revealed true commitment, not comfort some tooty seven.

Verst.

Five says, commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust

him and he will help you. This scripture challenges us

to commit everything that we do. Are you ready to

commit everything that you do and trust him? Remember, don't

only trust him during good time, but trust him even

when your prayers went unanswered. Trust him even the doors

are closed unexpectedly. Trust him when waiting stretches longer than expected.

So if you ask me how to trust him, I

don't know. But I can tell you is that when

you say you want to trust him, be ready to

let go.

Don't do things on your own. Don't say the Lord

I trust you.

But here you're working very hard to solve your own issue.

But I'm also not asking you to trust God and

then sit down and do nothing but to pray, and

every step ask him God, is this the right way?

It is the right thing.

And when you do truly in tune your ear with God,

he will speak. So the willingness to trust equals to

the willingness to let go and let God take control.

So be totally and fully surrendered. In Matthel chapter sixteen,

verse twenty four, it says Jesus said to his disciple,

if any of you want to be my disciple, you

must give up your own way, take up your cross,

and follow me. So how does this word reap, you know,

relate to discipleship. The rescipleship begins where self control ends.

So Peter trusted Jesus enough to step out of the

boat and walk on water. How many of us dare

to step out of the boat and walk on water? Right?

I don't even want there to walk in the pool

that is this deep? I get, I sleep and fall

and the drown.

Right. But Peter trusts Jesus so much that.

He dared to step out of the boat to walk

on water towards Jesus. But what causes him to sink

is because of his fear, Because when he looked at

the wave, he began to feel panic, and that's why

he sings. He took off his eyes from Jesus. That's

why he sings. So many of us will be daring

enough to step out of faith, but after a while,

we will also retreat when fear arises. So true discipleship

means keeping our eyes on Jesus all times, not on

the waves, not on our circumstances, not on our situations,

not on our difficulties. So trust will come easy when

we focus our eyes on Jesus. So, Church, as we

step INTOL twenty twenty six, let's set our eyes on Jesus.

Don't hold on your circumstances with your own strength. Hold

on to Jesus, who will grant you the strength. Because

our strength is limited, God's strength is limitless. Right, remember God,

remember this that God never intended us to carry life alone.

You know when I write this, right, this image came

to my mind. Okay, So how do we depend on God?

So imagine Noah here, it's time to go to school already.

So he's carrying his school back so heavy. I do

not know why your school asks you to carry so

many books in your back it was so heavy.

He was so tired.

So he was going home. Probably along the way he's

thinking that, ah, my back is so heavy, maybe I

should just live it at the roadside and walk home.

Is he right? But then he said that no, I

cannot leave my back at the.

Roadside because I have homework to finish and submit to

my teachers the next day. All right, on his journey home,

here comes Joel Lloyd, the daddy. Okay, his daddy, his hero.

And then the daddy will call up to him Noah,

and Noah said, whoa daddy is here? And then the

daddy saw that he's tired, pick him up together with.

His school back. Right, So do you think that okay,

probably job me.

Do you think that Joe will carry him and leave

the back behind and then just go home?

See, I know Joe, okay, But the daddy pick him

up with the school bag.

And all Noah needs to do is to hold onto daddy.

He doesn't need to use any strength. He just needs

to hold on to Daddy. The daddy will pick him.

The daddy will carry the weight of the bag for

him and bring him home. The daddy did not throw

away his circumstances, which is his heavy bag and his homework.

But instead the Daddy take all the circumstances together with him,

journey with him home, help him to overcome it. And

even when they reach us home, the Daddy sit down

with him and say, let's do the homework together.

And what did Noah do? Nothing?

He just let go, trusted the Daddy for strength, and

everything was done. So Noah trusted his dad to carry him,

to grant him the strength, to help him with the circumstances,

and to guide him through the details. Same thing, we

too can trust our heavenly Father. That is what our

heavenly Father will do for us. We may not know

all the answer, but a disciple of Christ doesn't need

to know all the answer. All we need to do

is to follow him faithfully. Let's be a disciple that

will hear God's voice. Noah heard the Daddy's voice. That's

why he turned towards the Daddy when God called us,

Can you hear his voice? Will you recognize our heavenly

Father's voice? And then upon hearing God's voice, we obey

even without full clarity. Okay, So Noah trusted and obey

and follow He knew that he can depend on the daddy.

He do not know how the daddy going to bring

him home. He do not know how the daddy will

carry his burden for him. But he trusted and he

know that eventually the destination that he needs to go to,

he will end up in that destination.

And the next thing.

Let's be a disciple who will walk by faith and

not by sight.

Noah trusted.

He didn't say that Nola, noddila, I will go home,

or myself like okay, he didn't walk by side.

He has faith in his dady. He has faith that

the daddy has the strength.

He may not know how much strength the daddy has,

He may not know how much knowledge the daddy has,

but he knows that when I trust my Daddy, everything

is a done deal.

Can you trust.

God enough to know that it will be a done

deal for your circumstances? Trust what don't believe into obedience?

And remember there is no but in trust. So don't

say that God, I trust you, But God, I trust

you except no trustfully. So even as I close, as

I invite the extreme team to come up, remember that

God is not asking us to carry yesterday burden into tomorrow.

God is not asking you to carry twenty twenty five

burdens into twenty twenty six. He's not asking for better strategy,

stronger will power, or more determination. All he's asking for

is our trust. Let's renew again our commitment towards the Lord.

Let's trust God once again. So as we reflect on

the year behind us, it may not have unfolded according

to your own plans, It may have not for our

fallen within your own you know picture, but always remember

that it may even though it may not seems how

we want it to be, but it has never fallen

out of God's purpose. Perhaps the real questions as we

do our reflection is not about how much I have

achieved everything I have planned out, but rather at which

point did I stop trusting God fully and begin relying

on my own strength? And how I can do better

in trusting God in twenty twenty six. Three five six

reminds us that direction flows from surrender. But Jeremiaha the

nine verse eleven assures us that even in the season

of disruption, God's blend remain good. So as a disciple

of Jesus, we are not called to walk into a

new year with control, but rather with confidence in God's faithfulness.

So let's not rush into twenty twenty six. Let us

surrender into it, let us release what we cannot carry,

let us trust where we cannot see, and let us

follow where God leads. Because the journey ahead that's not

depends on how strong we are, but on how fully

we trust the one who goes before us. So let

me end with this scripture taken from Psalms twenty ver seven.

Some may trust in chariots, some in horses, but let

us all try in the name of the Lord our God.
