  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. So remember that revival does not start from the external.

  4. It has to go deep into the internal. And internal

  5. means our heart. So in this scripture we learned that,

  6. you know, David didn't ask God to change his external situation.

  7. And this scripture, if you read deeper right, this was

  8. a scripture which is a communal prayer. I think it

  9. was after the whole Babylonian exile, and they were praying

  10. to God and ask God to give them a clean

  11. heart and renew the spirit. Okay, And here they are

  12. asking God to give them a new heart, a clean heart,

  13. and along with it they also ask for a step

  14. first spirit so that they can continue in the way

  15. of Godliness. And they are telling God that you know, Lord,

  16. we need you. David is a that Lord, I need you.

  17. Even King David, you know, the man after God's own heart,

  18. is saying that Lord, I need a clean heart. I

  19. need you in every area of my life so that

  20. I can continue to live a life that pleases you.

  21. We all know the life of David. He followed the

  22. way of the Lord. Yet every day he will pray

  23. and ask God to help him. So how do we

  24. know that God does not look at our external feature?

  25. In first seven, chapter sixteen, verse seven here that the prophets,

  26. the Lord said to Simuel, do not look at his

  27. appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him.

  28. For the Lord does not see as man sees. For

  29. man looks at our appearance, but the Lord looks at

  30. the heart. That is how we know that God don't

  31. look at our physical appearance when God come and examine us. Right,

  32. God doesn't say that poor new hairstyle today are very nice?

  33. Or new clothes today? What new? Sure? No, God looks

  34. straight into our heart, even though you may be coming

  35. in a beggar's suit. But if your heart is renewed,

  36. your heart is clean, that is what God is after. Okay.

  37. But that doesn't mean that next day you're coming in

  38. your pajamasa. Still dress your best for the Lord. Okay,

  39. all right, So God looks at our heart. Okay. So

  40. that is something that we need to remember. That we

  41. can always come to church every Sunday, but remember this,

  42. we need to pray. We need to ask God that

  43. you know every single morning when you wake up Lord,

  44. I pray that you will revive my heart this morning.

  45. I pray that you will give me a clean heart,

  46. give me a clean hands, a pure heart, so that

  47. I can continue to worship you, so that I can

  48. continue to walk in line with you, so that I

  49. can continue to hear your voice. We need to open

  50. our heart every single day to invite the Holy Spirit

  51. in and allow him to take over. It's not our

  52. own self. It's no longer our will to be done,

  53. but his will. So what does a true personal revival

  54. looks like? That? We will have a deep hunger for

  55. the presence of God. We will be sensitive to his promptings,

  56. and we will obey to the Lord in everything that

  57. he says to us. You know, when God ask us

  58. to go, we won't say that God, wait, let me

  59. check my calendar person. Or you know when got as

  60. you to do something, then you like, but God cannot

  61. lae this Sunday haul I got you feeling the bland yourself? Okay,

  62. but more of like you obey the Lord immediately. There

  63. is no compromise, there's no butts, there's no accepts, because

  64. you know what is important. So when everyone began to

  65. experience a true revival internally, then you will see revival externally.

  66. So it doesn't mean that true revival internally only happened too.

  67. Maybe myself and anti Julie and maybe John and then Joel,

  68. then you will see revival. No. Everyone, everyone has to

  69. experience the true revival internally, because before the Holy Spirit

  70. came upon the church in except to what did the

  71. scriptures start off with? The scripture start off with that

  72. all the believers were meeting together. They were all with

  73. one accord. All of them came together. They were hungry

  74. for more of God. They were hungry for God to move. Okay,

  75. So that is what we all need in one accord everyone,

  76. because when all of us are united in that sense

  77. that all of us have the same hunger for more

  78. of God, that is when God will move. So that

  79. is what we know about revival, right. But do you

  80. know what prevents revival to happen? Okay, many of us

  81. have been praying for revival, but we do not see

  82. anything happen, right, And it's not happening. It's not because

  83. God is not feeling. Okay. God is always one thing

  84. to move in every person's life. God is wanting to

  85. move in every church okay, and it all begins in

  86. earth I mentioned just now. It is not happening. It's

  87. because we are not ready for it. And then how

  88. we are not raised the first point we are lack

  89. of hunger. Okay. I know everyone is hungry now waiting

  90. for lunch. Okay, but it's not the physical hunger, but

  91. the hunger for more of God. You know. We are

  92. living in a generation that is full of distraction. We

  93. want to be comfortable at where we are at. Sometimes

  94. we are too self sufficient, and hence we will not

  95. hunger for God. You know, a lot of times we

  96. say that, why I need God? I'm okay, it's okay,

  97. you know, I'm enough. I have house, I have car,

  98. you know, I have children, I have you name it.

  99. Why do I need God? Because we are so self sufficient? Okay,

  100. we are so comfortable with our life, we stop hungry

  101. for more of God, you know. And that is also

  102. a saying that we all like to say. I'm good, ma,

  103. Why do I need to rock the board? You know, sailing?

  104. You know, singing in the calm sea. It's so nice

  105. while I go and send send some wind and wave

  106. to rock my boat? Right nounedla Right? We are afraid

  107. that if we pray for revival and ask for revival

  108. and it really happens, that means what It means that

  109. we have a lot of work to do, right, we

  110. want revival, but we scart off the work after that. Okay,

  111. Hence Keller, since Pasa cannot say that this year is

  112. a year reever Keller, I just pray, Nila, Okay, I

  113. pray when I remember La. I pray when Selena asked

  114. to prayer the rest of the day. No, Nina, right,

  115. we don't have such hunger, okay, because we don't want

  116. the world. We don't to rock the boat. Just let

  117. be it go through. The motion will be good. Okay,

  118. So we don't have the hunger. Okay. I'm not pinpointing anyone,

  119. because some days I'm also like that I've forgotten to pray.

  120. You know, I only pray when I remember or I

  121. this the Passa can summon. Oh yeah, this year Passa

  122. says is your revival. I need to pray for revival. Okay.

  123. We need to have the deep hunger. If we want revival,

  124. we need to have the deep hunger. And then that

  125. brings me to the next point, because we do not

  126. have the deep hunger. Hence we don't pray enough right

  127. and jamshp the forwards too. He says, you do not

  128. have because you do not ask. If you don't ask

  129. from God, how God gonna give? Right, it's just right

  130. if I don't go and ask. Okay, this is after that.

  131. If I don't go ask Genie for the uh foot okay,

  132. the tie toy vegetate. If I don't ask from her,

  133. I would not get okay. Okay, I didn't ask from her.

  134. I just told her I like NA. Then then they

  135. say she gave me okay, So if I don't ask,

  136. I would not get. I cannot suddenly just go to

  137. the you know, go to Auntie Julie house. And then

  138. I go to a house sit down, and then I

  139. expect her to fit me. Of course she will, but

  140. then she said she will say that, but I'm going

  141. out already, never by our sit down. Then should like,

  142. but I'm really going out never by us sit down.

  143. But actually I'm very hungry. I need her to fit me,

  144. but I just needn't ask. Can you say? Okay? So

  145. we need to ask. So if we don't ask from God,

  146. God will not give. So remember that revival to happen

  147. in church is not just the prayer of the pastor

  148. or the church plank coordinator, or maybe one or two leaders,

  149. but it's everyone. It's corporately collectively. Everyone has the same hunger.

  150. Everyone pressed on in prayer, urging God, saying that Lord,

  151. we want to see salvation happen in Examba every Sunday.

  152. It should not just be Selina's desire. It should not

  153. just be Joel's desire or Genie's desire only. It has

  154. to be everyone's desire. Do you desire to see people

  155. getting safe or you just care about your own salvation only?

  156. Do you desire to see the sick coming and they

  157. be healed, or you only care that your own health

  158. being healed only? I know that the come on strong,

  159. But this is how the word hit me. Did Jesus

  160. only die for Selinatan only, or Jesus die for everyone

  161. on this planet Earth? If Jesus is dying for everyone,

  162. and hence for those of us who hear the gospel firsthand,

  163. we need to be the mouthpiece to bring the word

  164. and pass on to the next person who may not

  165. have the opportunity like me hearing it firsthand. I will

  166. be there firsthand, I will need to go and share

  167. with them that Jesus is real. Jesus still heal. But

  168. the most important it is do you believe that Jesus

  169. is real? So we need to believe that God will

  170. move powerfully, and hence we need to pray for the opportunity,

  171. and we need to be obedient when the opportunity comes.

  172. You know, we can pray God will open the door

  173. for you. You get into the grab, you know, many

  174. times I can tell you honestly, I miss the opportunity.

  175. I get into grab so many times. And there is

  176. a couple of times the grab driver suddenly tells me

  177. not not sharing their their their grandmother's storyline. But it's

  178. just to say that, oh, you know, it's it's so nice,

  179. you know that you have a holiday, you know, but

  180. I still have the work because I have family to

  181. feed and then share a little bit of their life story.

  182. That is a opportunity for me to say that, hey,

  183. can I pray for you? But I scared? I scared

  184. the Philodos fatchman go away after that. Okay, But sometimes

  185. God gave you the opportunity. But are we grabbing hold

  186. of the opportunity? Are we sensitive enough to the prompting

  187. of the Holy Spirit. Do we have the discernment, you know,

  188. to be obedient when God says, move and pray. So

  189. I'm trying to learn to move with the prompting of

  190. the Holy Spirit. Okay, sometimes because I feel like I

  191. feel that's why I I put a roadblock there. But

  192. God says, if you love me my commandments. So God

  193. doesn't move when there is resistance. God moved when there

  194. is surrendered. God moved when there is obedience, and he

  195. moved when we are willing to sacrifice and worship him

  196. and him alone. So we need to have a deep hunger,

  197. we need to pray. When there's opportunity, we need to obey.

  198. And then the last point of you know what preventing

  199. revival is this the trap of comparison. So today I'm

  200. going to give you a little bit of what I

  201. usually do in ex kids. Okay, so before that trap

  202. of comparison. Comparison is one of the quiet killer of revival. Okay.

  203. In actual fact, when I prepared this message, this was

  204. the first picture that God showed me. I'm like, Lord,

  205. are you trying to ask me to teach? You know,

  206. the adults liked how I teach in ex kids. Yeah,

  207. so well that is what I got, and this is

  208. what I'm gonna share. The trep of comparison. So we

  209. tend to look at others, their result, their success, their accomplishment,

  210. their house. So I prepare a house. Thank you to

  211. GERMANI very nice. Right, Yeah, this is my house I wish. Yeah,

  212. this house. Everybody wants to come. Right, everybody loves this house.

  213. So when our eyes are focusing on what's great on others,

  214. we begin to compare, and then we begin to imitate,

  215. and then we begin to complain. Okay. So the danger

  216. of comparison is this. It produces this contentment, It produces

  217. imitation without calling, it produces frustration. Okay. In Second Concients,

  218. Chapter ten, verse twelve, Paul warners this, don't compare yourself

  219. with others, because such comparisons are measured on human skill,

  220. and it is not wise, it is not smart, it

  221. is not of God. But we should allow the Holy

  222. Spirit to measure us through God's words and through God's

  223. kill okay, in which he looks at our heart. Okay.

  224. And God wants us to be faithful with what we have.

  225. So go back to the picture very nice. Right, so

  226. I will try to build the same house. Okay, you

  227. look at the house so nice, Look at my house

  228. so nice? Right? Which house you want to go? That

  229. house or the house? You want to go to the

  230. house with swimming pool, or you want to go to

  231. the house that is empty and barren? Which one? Right?

  232. So this house it's big, it's nice, all right, everybody

  233. wants to go there, Okay. Every neighbor say like, oh God, God,

  234. place to chill at Pinut Colada, do drink? Okay, that's

  235. so nice. Okay. And then you try to imitate. Okay,

  236. So you have things, so you try to imitate. Okay,

  237. the fellow has a swimming pool, Let me build a

  238. swimming pool. Okay, the swimming pool is like that, the

  239. swimming pool I never okay. The house got treekay? Okay,

  240. let me behind a tree? Yeah yeah? And did Julia,

  241. I need a bigger land? I got no enough, treader,

  242. I need to build the house. The house is brown

  243. in color? Yeah? Why not same? When God, I imitate exactly?

  244. Why why not same? When the fella has a swimming pool,

  245. I have a swimming pool. The fell I have a

  246. brown house. I have a brown housework the fellow has

  247. a tree, I have a tree. Why is it different one?

  248. Why nobody wants to come to my house? This is unfair.

  249. How come you give the person's house so nice? Everybody

  250. wants to go to the house every day, got parties

  251. inside there every single day, got low sung every single day,

  252. got unbout to take. But my house, nobody wants to come. God,

  253. this is unfair. And then God said this, I'm not

  254. making you to be like someone else. I'm not making

  255. you to be another person. I am making you you.

  256. And I need you to build yourself based on my blueprint,

  257. based on my plan. And this is what God said.

  258. Read my word daily and meditate upon it to know

  259. what I'm trying to do in you. And you begin

  260. to be consistent with your quiet time. You begin to

  261. read the word of God. And the Lord say, rest

  262. in me, and you rest in him, and then say

  263. and then the Lord say, you know, pray. You pray,

  264. and the Lord say, listen to my voice, and you

  265. begin to be still and know that he is God.

  266. And you listen to his voice one step at a time,

  267. and God say, pray for your neighbor, and you begin

  268. praying for your neighb and God says, worship me, and

  269. you say, yes, Lord, I will worship you. Slowly and surely,

  270. one step at the time. You begin to obey what

  271. the Lord wants you to do. Growth begin to happen. Right.

  272. Does it look the same as your neighbor? Does God

  273. want you to look like your neighbor? No? What is

  274. God building in you? God is not trying to make

  275. you a house. God is making you a meddle. A

  276. place where people can come and rest A place where

  277. people can come and refresh, a place where people can

  278. come and be healed, a place where people can come

  279. without being judged. A place where people can come to

  280. find joy and restoration. A place that not only the

  281. rich can come, the poor, the sick, the abandoned, you

  282. name it. A place that people find refuge. You may

  283. think that, yeah, revival looks like the one that's in

  284. the picture, a big house. Many times we want to

  285. be like our neighbor. We try to topicate ourselfs like

  286. our neighbor. But is that what God wants us to do?

  287. Did God say that, you know, for revival to happen

  288. in example, you need to be like the other church

  289. next door. No, God didn't ask us to be like

  290. the church next door. God caught us to be us. Okay,

  291. my illustration may not be very pretty and text to

  292. Gemini next picture Niki, this is what God has called us,

  293. and open space for people to come and open space

  294. for people to be restored. And that can only happen

  295. if we ourself our revife. Not only we are comparing

  296. church to church. I'm talking about our self. Stop comparing

  297. yourself with your friend and look at your friends and

  298. saying that you know, wah, I want to be a

  299. worship leader just like Joell, but my calling is not

  300. to be a worship leader. I can't even differentiate abcde

  301. okay until we g but I can differentiate phoneicks from

  302. it to that. You know, it's still ABC, but it's different.

  303. It's different kind of calling, it's different kind of people

  304. that we're reaching out to. It's different kind of revival

  305. that we have to experience. So for this to happen,

  306. we need to understand that we need God. And as

  307. much as we say that we need God, God also

  308. need our response. So in X chapter four was twenty

  309. nine to thirty one. Here it says, now the Lord

  310. look on their threads and grant to your servant that

  311. with all bonus, they may speak your word by stretching

  312. out your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders

  313. may be done through the name of your Holy Servant, Jesus.

  314. And when they had prayed and placed where they were

  315. assembled together, was shaken and they were all filled with

  316. the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God

  317. with bonness. So this is in X chapter four, and

  318. you read here in X chapter four was twenty nine

  319. to thirty one. When the people prayed before the Holy

  320. Spirit move. The people pray, they didn't pray for their

  321. own personal preference. They didn't pray for the personal gain.

  322. What they asked for the bondness to praach the boness

  323. to do what the Lord has told them to do,

  324. the boness to see God move. This year, Spasa kind

  325. of has declared that it's a year of revival. Let

  326. us all have the same boldness, the same bondness to

  327. experience the revival of God, the same bondness, the same

  328. desire to see people coming in here to be safe

  329. and to be healed. And we need to pray for

  330. the Holy Spirit to move, so we cannot produce revival.

  331. But we can prepare for it even as I close.

  332. You know, how can we prepare for it? We need

  333. to desire it. We must want God more than our

  334. own comfort. We need to want God more than our

  335. own convenience. We need to want God more than our

  336. own control. And then we need to pray for it,

  337. not once a week, but every single day. And then

  338. be obedience, and last, but not least, be faithful with

  339. what we have. You know, God always starts with what

  340. we already have. It's just like when God asked Moses

  341. to lead the Israelite out of Egypt. God didn't give

  342. him like many many horses and chariots to transport the

  343. people out. What did Moses have in his hand? He

  344. only has a staff. People must be thinking crazy for

  345. with just one stuff you want to lead the whole

  346. multitudes out of Egypt? How you know? Egypt has so

  347. many chariots and horses and army in general. And who

  348. is Moses? He's the guide that stuttered, and the most

  349. he has in his gang is whole Arran. That's it.

  350. But God is able to use what we have in

  351. our hands for greater purpose. And all we need to

  352. do is to trust him and surrender it. So revival

  353. is when the Holy Spirit take over. Remember that it's

  354. not something we produce on our own. So question to

  355. ask ourselves is that are we relying on ourselves instead

  356. of God? And are we ready to let the Holy

  357. Spirit take over? Revival is when our heart comes alive.

  358. Our heart's hungry for God and are we ready to

  359. ask God to give us a new and clean heart?

  360. And revival is when life are transformed. So are we

  361. comparing instead of obeying? Or are we faithful with what

  362. God has given us? And are we ready to see

  363. God move? So question to ask all of us here

  364. is are you ready to see salvation happen every Sunday?

  365. Are you ready to see healing take place every Sunday?

  366. Last year is a year of discipleship. It didn't stop

  367. in six Yeah, it continues on when revival happened. Are

  368. you ready to disciple someone new? Are you ready to

  369. teach the person and walk through different journey with that person?

  370. Or maybe one day through this door, maybe ex convict

  371. work in here. Are we ready to receive this person?

  372. Maybe a prostitute will walk through this door? Are we

  373. ready to accept this person? You know different kinds of

  374. people will walk through the doors of ex Ambound and

  375. we have that. You know, we have people drunk of

  376. the party coming in. Do we say that no, you

  377. cannot come to church, but are we ready to receive them?

  378. When revival happened, we will have all kinds of people

  379. just like what I said here, All kinds of people

  380. will come to us. Are we ready for it? And

  381. I pray that all of us are ready, and I

  382. pray that all of us will have a surrender hut.

  383. Can I invite the extreme thing to come forward? You know?

  384. I have shared what I needed to share this morning,

  385. and I pray that you know that as I shed

  386. the word, I pray that this word would touch someone's

  387. heart this morning.

  388. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  389. information on our church, please visit exchurch do org. We

  390. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  391. this week is going to be a good week, a

  392. hit for you. God bless
