You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your deed.
-
All right. The verse I just want to read some
-
scripture with us first. Amen. So this is Second Corinthians,
-
chapter one and verse three to five. And you let's
-
read through this, okay. It says, Praise be to God
-
and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the Father of
-
compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us
-
in all loud troubles, so that we can comfort those
-
in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves has received
-
from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow
-
over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort
-
over flows. Amen. So it's praise God, yeah, because he
-
has such compassion, and it is the Lord who comforts
-
us in whatever time of need. Amen. And then whatever
-
that we have been comforted, we can comfort others. Amen.
-
So when we go through different difficult trials, remember the
-
comfort of God is for you, and he goes before you.
-
And whatever the sufferings of Christ has flowed through into
-
our lives, so that through Christ, you know, we are
-
comforted and His comfort is overflowing through us. This is
-
our our This is the promise that is given to
-
us through Christ Jesus. Okay amen. And this only happened
-
because of the Friday, one blessed Friday more than two
-
thousand years ago, our Lord went to Calvary. And then
-
in Hebrews chapter four, verse fifteen, so we're talking about
-
all these comfort well, God's comforting us. And then the
-
comfort I comfort others or comfort comfort comfort, Wow, so
-
many comforts? Right? Why because of this Hebrews four fifteen said, is,
-
let's read it together, For we do not have a
-
high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
-
but we have one who has been tempted in every
-
way just as we are, yet without sin. Amen, hallelujah.
-
You know this is a This verse helps helps us
-
to know that we have a Christ. We have a
-
savior who is our high priest, who doesn't have to
-
sacrifice any more lambs rams and goats anymore lambs rams
-
and goats, because he was a sacrificial lamb. Amen. And
-
so he is the high priest that has has able
-
to understand your pain, understand your challenge, understand that life
-
is complicated. You know that we have nobody understands us not,
-
but Jesus does because he faced all these challenges, these temptations.
-
But in every way he was tempted, he never sin Amen.
-
So the question is why did he have to come
-
to earth. He could have just come one day and kaboom,
-
everything was done. But he came for thirty three years.
-
He walked as you walk. Yeah, he went through all that.
-
It was so easy for God to just hey, just
-
send him now and kaboom and and everything's done. But
-
our father, our heavenly Father, did not have that plan.
-
He sent his one and only son, whom he had
-
to hard ways to come into an earth that was
-
so messy. All the other plans failed, and so he says, so, well,
-
oh well, go, I guess I have to send my son.
-
And the son could have said, no way, man, no way,
-
O say, the earth is so terrible. But he stepped
-
out of heaven on to earth, which was so messy,
-
so full of sin. God's plan was not for us
-
to have full of sin. But so it has happened.
-
It had happened, and Jesus had to come and live
-
with us and lived among us. You can read that
-
in the Book of John Chatter the one he lived
-
among us, and then he couldn't recognize him because he
-
didn't look like a king. Nobody even knew that was
-
Jesus love. Can you imagine he had to be betrayed
-
by a kiss because they didn't know what he looked like.
-
He looked like any other John down the street. If
-
your name is John, sorry, oh John, John's better looking
-
than Jesus. Come down, guys, come down. So okay. He
-
wasn't looking like any other Joshua. There's a Joshua. Oh boy,
-
let's choose a Hebrew name. He didn't look like. No,
-
I don't have got opened. I had it. So he
-
walked as we would have walked. And he went through
-
all these all the temptations, all the I don't know.
-
One day you're gonna go to heaven and you can
-
ask him all the questions you want to ask. Maybe
-
you won't have any questions because you feel too loved.
-
Everything would have been washed away in his love. Amen.
-
But but he walked. He went through all things. He
-
he had highs, he had lows. He was hungry, Come on,
-
he was hungry. He fell asleep, he was tired. He
-
had a little pillow in the sailboat. Right. He got
-
angry when people made a mockery of the temple, you know,
-
so he got upset. He was hungry, he loved to eat.
-
You know. He wept. Jesus wept, he was betrayed. People
-
left him. If he planted a church, I can tell
-
you I don't feel so bad because all of them
-
left him, and only twelve people left, so oh Lord,
-
that is in John chapter six, verse sixty six. They
-
all left him. So, by the way, if you think
-
we are bad church, plannters, at least here God something
-
you know, ranga. But but they're no. Jesus left with twelve.
-
They all left him, so he's probably felt what kind
-
of ministry is this? I feel right, No, we go
-
to so much. I want you to know, Jesus walked
-
at every pain that you will ever ever have to
-
go through, and and and and he went through it.
-
He just went through it. But he never sinned, okay,
-
and come to the cross. So the journey to the cross,
-
there were several details of the challenges which was prophesied
-
in earlier before the birth of Christ, and then when
-
he came it was fulfilled. And I just have a
-
little schedule here for you. Okay, didn't didn't? Yeah, okay,
-
all right, all right, this is what happens when you
-
know Master's right, you just do all these things. Yes, okay,
-
So the screenshot everybody, because these are beautiful promises. They
-
are found in the Old Testament and then fulfilled in
-
the New Testament. And these are details of challenges where
-
Christ when Christ went to the cross. Now, anyone here
-
ever had a betrayal of a best friend? Come on, well,
-
Jesus went through. It was prophesied in the Old Testament,
-
New Testament. It happened. If you've ever been forsaken by somebody,
-
Jesus was forsaken. They all left him, all right. Have
-
you ever felt forsaken by anyone who could feel more
-
than Jesus himself? False accusation? Have you been ever accused
-
falsely or wrongly? He was falsely accused of And they said,
-
you know what he told us, we shouldn't pay our
-
texes to Caesar. How wrong was that? We knew he said,
-
who's face on that coin? Caesar? Then pay your tax
-
to Caesar. But they began to accuse him of different things.
-
Oh he said this, Oh he's he's you know, bringing
-
up an incision. You know he's this, he is the
-
and they lied and there was a false accusation. How
-
about the silence before his judges Herod asked him questions
-
and asked him, and he just was quiet silence. He
-
never argued back, never tried to defend himself. I can't no,
-
I will defend myself. But he just just silenced himself
-
and kept quiet. Wow, people just judged him. He will
-
bring up proven. I don't want to being proven, not
-
bring being proven guiltless. He was proven guiltless. And when
-
they saw that, you know he had that, they couldn't
-
find anything wrong. So in verse first John, chapter three
-
and verse five, he says that if you turn to
-
first John, chapter three, it is a beautiful verse because
-
you can read it in the Old Testament, but in
-
the New Testament. In first John, it's a verse that
-
we've read before, and we want to read it together.
-
Verse John three and verse five, which says, and you
-
know that he was that he was manifested to take
-
away our sins, and in him there is no sin
-
amen in Christ, there was no sin, thank you so
-
much xtv, no sin at all, and so proven guiltless.
-
But you know what lots of accusation. He was even
-
being included with the sinners, you know, So it was
-
prophesied and then it came up, and then it happened
-
because he had two robbers hanging with him on the
-
right and on the left who actually worked criminal house. Yea,
-
so he was even with the sinner. So have you
-
ever felt that you were such a sinner? Like, ah,
-
I've seen I'm this lousy, crappy person. Hey, Jesus was
-
with them. He was not a shame of them. He
-
was going to be crucified as well, and he was
-
included with the sinner. Then he was being crucified. That
-
was also prophesied that he would be crucified, and then
-
it happened, all right, the mockery of the spectators. People
-
were saying, hey, if you are the son of God,
-
come on, bring yourself down, and you know, come on,
-
you can do that. You said this, you said that.
-
They mocked him, Now show us your power. And all
-
of that was prophesied ahead of time, and then it happened.
-
So he was terribly mocked. People, would you know, just
-
say things. And these were the same people who probably
-
came and asked for healing These were the same people
-
who waved the palm trees and said Hosanna, Hosanna, blessed
-
be the name of the Lord, or he who comes
-
in the name of the Lord. They were the They
-
were there, you know, waving yay. And this happens in
-
a crowd, It can happen to us. We might be
-
crowd follow us. That's why we say our salvation our
-
personal walking crisis a personal while it is, it is
-
a personal conviction of faith is personal. You can follow
-
a crowd, but when you are left alone, will you
-
stand for Jesus? Will I stand for Jesus? It's a
-
personal faith. And I tell you we're all working out
-
our salvation and that not that we're doing anything very
-
but what meaning we're growing in our fath we're walking
-
in our favor, we're going throughout, we're tumbling and we're
-
standing up again. But because it's easy to be in
-
a crowd, it's easy to jump and be with everybody,
-
But when we're alone, Jesus was alone, people mocking him.
-
He you know, you got like I good to tell
-
you I'm not, but just silence, and he just took
-
it right. And then he was the taunt of non deliverance.
-
You know, people just say, Comela, deliver yourself. Well you
-
don't deliver yourself. Come on, man, come on, maka. You know,
-
keep saying like that to him and just siland right,
-
the gambling of his garments. So I don't know, I
-
don't know. Someday if you read the Gospels, I think
-
it's in Lucas. Every year I read the Journey to
-
the Cross, and so I read this year as well.
-
And then he says, they put on him a gorgeous robe.
-
And what does that mean? Like is it silk or
-
was it? No? Is it leppard skin? Not to know, right,
-
But but there was this gambling. They wanted to throw
-
dice and say, oh, who have which shall we take?
-
They say, no, don't tear it. Seamless. It was a
-
seamless robe. And so that was also prophesied. And then
-
the prayer he prayed for his enemies, he said, Lord,
-
forgive them, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
-
What mercy? What a heart that that that that that
-
was just shown. People were mocking him, they were taking
-
him down but to China town. But you know he
-
was He's like praying for them, you know, like you know,
-
can't even breathe. He's he's been beaten, he's been whipped.
-
His whole face has been disfigured. His body is in
-
tremendous pain. He's hanging on the cross. He can't breathe,
-
he's having fever. Likely you know, when you cut your
-
finger or just that already can get people, you know.
-
So this is his whole body is just beaten and
-
stripped and then you know it's exposed and bleeding, and
-
there he is saying, Lord, or give them because they
-
know not what they do. Wow. You know, so have
-
you ever felt like, you know, your enemies were just
-
at you, and did you ever say, Lord, forgive them,
-
or you like kill their men? Right? So you know
-
you ever felt that way. Jesus went through that. But
-
what did he say? He said, Lord, forgive them? Okay,
-
because he's Jesus. Okay, yeah, he's Jesus. But he was
-
very much a man at the time hanging on the cross.
-
He was not on supernatural power, all right. He was
-
very much the man like you and I are. The
-
pain is just shooting up constantly because of being nailed,
-
being forsaken by God. This is the only time when
-
the father and him were separated because the sin of
-
all men was on him, of all mankind. That's why
-
he said Eli lamasabahtani, because he says, my God, my God,
-
why have you forsaken me? The father had to turn
-
his face because of all our sin on Jesus, and
-
God is holy. So Jesus is saying, I'm separated from
-
my father, and they've never been separated. Of course, he
-
came to earth, but he was always communing, But at
-
this time he didn't. Have you ever felt separated on
-
people that you loved, you know, have you ever felt
-
alone in different things? Jesus was very much alone, separated
-
from his father, the one that he loved and the
-
one who loved him. And if you ever been through that, friends,
-
look at this. This is every detail here many of
-
us have gone through when we're on our own. Then
-
the yielding of his spirit into the hands of the father.
-
So some people say the Roman soldiers killed him. Some
-
people say, oh, you know, the leaders of Israel killed him. No,
-
he decided when he was going to go down to Chinatown.
-
He decided when it is finished, when he saw all
-
things were in place, he breathe his lass. He said
-
it is finished, and then he bowties it. So no,
-
the Romans didn't kill him. The Roman soldiers didn't kill him.
-
He laid his life down. He laid his life down. Amen,
-
some of you lay your life down for your family,
-
for your friends. You chose that the timing, timing. Everything's
-
about timing, isn't it. It had to come to that
-
timing for Jesus to go to the cross, and he said, Lord,
-
if you could take this cup please, because he knew
-
how horrible it, the pain, the terribleness. This man was
-
not hanging with a little loin cloth. He was hanging naked.
-
This is my and your savior, how naked. It's the
-
most embarrassing thing. The death on the cross just remind
-
us every year. Was the most humiliating death that the
-
Romans prepared for those who were criminals. Else Jesus was
-
treated like a criminal. If you ever think about criminals
-
ministry in the prison, how they come to know Christ.
-
They felt I'm a criminal. Someone us feel like criminals
-
because of the way we might walk, and I walk
-
with Jesus. But Jesus was treated like a criminal, so
-
he knows how you might feel. And people in prison
-
come to know Christ. We cannot say they don't have
-
a right to know Jesus. Amen. Everyone has a chance,
-
but they have to choose. Never write off your family
-
members and say this person God never can Never. One
-
of our church members when I was in another church
-
plant and having lunch, and he said, because I shared
-
a message, and they say, no, Pastor, I want to
-
tell you I have a family member, a family I
-
have a family member on my mom's side or noll side,
-
and we are so ashamed of him. We're so ashamed
-
of this whole family, this uncle, or I don't know what.
-
And we say, I don't think you'll ever come to cheese.
-
I don't think you'll ever pass. He's into the spiritist
-
world and doing all the lockhow you know the oh
-
yeah you say in English, so you know where the
-
spirit goes takes over what is you call it possess
-
possess and then you know they can give you number,
-
you know, lucky number, lucky lucky number. And so he
-
doing all this, all this worship, right, he goes into
-
all this spirit world right that that side. He said, no,
-
I just said I wrote him off, you know, And
-
he said, then one day the news came that he
-
passed away, as I thought, heay, the least I can
-
do is go for the funeral. So he went for
-
the funeral, and he said, Fast. I was so shocked. Yes,
-
who was doing the funeral? Your friend? My friend? Yeah,
-
fast sway And so, my goodness, what happened? I also
-
asked what happened? His son got saved and then he
-
got saved. Oh, my goodness, isn't that amazing? Nobody should
-
be wiped off? Wipe off whatever there you'll never write,
-
you know, in DearS. He said, I'm so ashamed of
-
myself because I wrote off my uncle and thinking he'll
-
never he'll never. But even at the last hour, you
-
accept Christ. Look at the criminals hanging. He said, today
-
you will be with me in paradise. Oh and so
-
this church leadered. The brother told me, your pastor never
-
write off anybody, even to the last, to the last.
-
You know, I gave up on this uncle. But how
-
his son got saved. And so he then got saved,
-
even through the sickness that he was in terminal. But
-
then he accepted Christ. And then here is this your friend,
-
the pastor doing the service. Because the sun attends this
-
church and this pass is very good ministry with elderly people.
-
She came to minister and so he said, I'm not
-
I learned a lesson. See, Jesus was treated as a criminal,
-
but even criminals can accept rice. Everyone has a chance. Amen.
-
And then his bones were not broken, so when they
-
were going to break his legs, and then they saw, hey,
-
you're gone. Hey, because he knew that his spirit, I
-
choose to lay down my life, and so they never
-
broke his bones. So that's already prophesied. And lastly the
-
burial in a rich man's tomb. Wow, you know here
-
he is a criminal, treated as a criminal, hanging there,
-
and usually that's it. Nobody cares. They just throw them aside.
-
But Joseph of Arimathea came, who was part of the council.
-
He went to Pilot and said, can I please take
-
the body? And Nicodemus, who they were all scared of,
-
the of the of the of the these leaders lost
-
so they never said that they followed Jesus, but they believed.
-
And you see, God will provide. Come on, come on,
-
if you feel like you're stuck, you don't know where
-
your provision's gonna come. God provides, And this man, Joseph
-
of Aramathea came and said, give me his body, I'll
-
take him. And he placed him in a tomb that
-
was in a gud and it was a new tomb.
-
It was for the rich. Yay, only rich people got
-
toomb loud. Now we all know, right because we all
-
want to bury. It cannot bury Singapore. You let let
-
no bury now burn, you know, they have no place
-
to bury. That's it, that's it. You know, all your
-
ashes will fly up one day. But in Malaysia we
-
still can't bury. You know.
-
But again, how many thousand and thirty forty thousand for
-
a piece of burial land, you know, And so Jesus
-
may have been stripped for and that we could be rich.
-
But at his death he was. He was buried in
-
a rich man's tomb, and that was prophesied as well.
-
And there was Joseph who took him into this tomb,
-
the Garden Tomb. Honestly, they if you ever get to Israel,
-
they're supposed we were. I've been to the Garden Tomb. Unfortunately,
-
Baba Saiety couldn't afford to keep running it, so they
-
closed it. But that's where they believe that Jesus was made.
-
There are a few tombs of Jesus. One they feel
-
this is the one. There's one somewhere in Jerusie. I
-
don't know where, but because of the way they look
-
at he had to die outside of the city. So
-
this is the bearings Simeon Bearings. Oh and then you
-
get there and the beautiful garden too. I had that pass,
-
that opportunity to be there. It's just amazing, you know.
-
And so you know the whole details, the challenges that
-
Jesus took the last week of his life, he was
-
still preaching. He knew was going to go, but he
-
kept his eyes on the Lord, on the on the mission.
-
He had a mission impossible, and he was not Ethan
-
whatever his name is, but he was keeping his eyes
-
on the mission to to to finish it. Amen. And
-
so I wonder why am I bringing this as a reminder.
-
You can read this, of course, but it's just so
-
that we will not be little the cross and what
-
Jesus has done. And once a year we have our
-
forty days prayer or twenty one days of prayer, and
-
we call it lend. And I think it's actually a
-
good practice because we forget two hundred and sixty five days,
-
we do everything we want on our own, and then
-
suddenly forty days we get too fast, or twenty one days.
-
And then if you get to read, go back to
-
the gospels, you follow right. And so the encouragement before
-
I go to the point that I want to bring
-
is that if you think about where you're at and
-
what you're going through, look at these points, and we
-
could have fallen into any we could be in this.
-
We know life is complicated. Things happen. Life is even
-
going to get more complicated with what's happening in the
-
world today. We need to brace ourselves and know that
-
everything is about God's timing, not your timing. Not your timing.
-
God's timing so important. I also have to learn God's timing.
-
Don't rush it then, cannot be too slow, then cannot
-
be too fast. Don't run ahead of God, don't run
-
behind him. So far, Let's walk with him, just as
-
how he walked with the two with klop Us and
-
the other friend to the road de mayors. He walked
-
with them, and he listened to their complaints and their Ah,
-
your disbelieve, that is Jesus who is here and then
-
finally he opened the scriptures to them, but he walked
-
with them. Don't walk, don't walk too ahead of Jesus,
-
don't walk to behind Jesus. But let's he says, I
-
call you as friends, abide with me, and let's walk
-
with him a man. What encouragement to us as believers
-
in Christ that Jesus walks with us as you walk
-
with him? Amen? So I just want to bring a
-
point before I go to my to The points I
-
want to bring in is in Matthew Matthew, chapter twenty seven,
-
just just the moments before he laid his life down.
-
And I want you to sense the love and the
-
commitment that Jesus made by saying, yes, I will go right.
-
So here's a man who's been beaten, he stripped, he
-
has no face anymore. You have to imagine that. I mean,
-
we can't even I can't even imagine. I'll never know.
-
I'll never know how much it costs. I'll never know
-
because I'll never know the pain that Jesus went and
-
he doesn't expect me to go through it. I'll never know.
-
But there is this man who hung on the cross
-
without a face, bleeding, naked and this is I want
-
to take this back a little bit. Before he hung on,
-
before they nailed him to the cross, he was carrying
-
the cross. And then they came to god Gotha. And
-
then they they said to Jesus Matthew twenty seven, verse
-
thirty two, verse thirty three. When they came to a
-
place called god Gotha, that is to say, the place
-
of a skull. So if you go there, you look
-
for the skull, then you notice where Jesus was. They
-
gave him sour wine mingled with gall to drink, but
-
when he had tasted it he could not drink. Then
-
they crucified him. So before they crucified him, and probably
-
is a practice to give the wine, the sour wine
-
and the gall to them so that it acts as
-
a so you don't feel the pain. Was that were
-
and a numb aestet? Yeah, anesthesia name, that's somebody's name.
-
I can't even pronounce the word so hard. Anyways, before
-
they crucified him, like for everyone else, they gave this
-
drink and when he tastes that, he knew what it was.
-
But he was so committed to take that pain he said,
-
no you sure, so no numbing, No injection because I
-
tell you, I'm a scary cad. I cannot take pain.
-
So they give me numbing cream to do some stuff,
-
and I'm like, I feel the pain. Just jab me,
-
and I kid you not. Once they jabuer, everything is numb,
-
you know, and you can take all the pain later
-
you that's it. Like, okay, So Jesus said no to
-
the numbing medication or drink. You just just hit me,
-
man with your best neil. Okay. So he did not
-
compromise in taking your pain. When they nailed him, I
-
think it just sent shock waves to his body. How
-
do you nail the legs? The feet put together and
-
nail we already touched little bit. So I don't know
-
it was screams or what. Oh he just so I
-
say that Christ didn't just have a happy, go lucky
-
down there nail me. It was painful and he was
-
not numbed. He felt and he took every nail. Every
-
time they banged and hit the head of the nail,
-
it sent shot waves. That was the pain that you
-
and I would have had to taken the death of
-
our sin. He took it for us. He went through that.
-
And so he's hanging on the cross. He's he's saying, God,
-
why do you forsake me? He's talking to John, this
-
is your mom. There are those moments were like you
-
can't reef. I just was not well recently. And the
-
way my husband dramatized it to the k church, you know,
-
they all thought I was gonna die right right, because
-
I was so sick in Melbourne. I tell you church,
-
Malaysia best doctor's, best hospital. You got no appointment, you
-
just walk in. They will take care of you. You
-
know there, make appointment and I may appointments. Say what
-
time six thirty pm? Hey, hello, it's nine o'clock now
-
six thirty halve diad.
-
You know.
-
And then I couldn't breathe because I did. We didn't
-
know what it was. But actually this summer it was
-
a case of very bad guess streak due to but
-
it didn't happen here. It happened here. So it was
-
sitting on a nerve the oni in La we call
-
it phone ang in La, just a bag of yes
-
and it pulled every time, and so I couldn't reeve,
-
and I was in vain and I don't know what happened.
-
My husband interceded all night and then we I mean,
-
of course I went to say a doctor by the
-
medicine was wrong. He said I got pneumonia, Alma. I
-
threw up all all the medication. And my husband said,
-
don't take it. I don't think I think you don't
-
have anemonia. I don't think you have any more because
-
I wasn't coughing and just don't do this to do
-
without it, and I was having other no, I'm having
-
a warm thing and purging ioe everything. But doctor said
-
I got pneumonia. Mama, okay, So God really did the
-
healing so that I could fly home two days later.
-
This was after all the ministry was done. You know
-
that who I'm just nothing. There's no nail on me.
-
This is Jesus nail it. He is, Hello, care my son.
-
I think here my mother got time, you know to
-
say all he's words. We all like, just just hit
-
me now, just kill me now right, just just shoot
-
me then just stop it right, don't talk to me.
-
I just know there is thinking about his mother. Who's
-
going to take care? Okay, John, thank you very much,
-
and oh your Lord please forgive them. No, they all
-
they don't know what they do. He's going around doing that.
-
And then in John chapter nineteen, verse twenty eight, this
-
is though the clinches it all John chapter nineteen, verse
-
twenty And after this, after all that, he's laid it
-
all down. And after this he says, knowing that all
-
things were now accomplished, come on, come on, now he
-
saw that everything was settled. He's already walked thirty three years,
-
and that last one week, and then now the last
-
few hours. He's been hanging since twelve noon or whatever
-
that's happened all the way. So from the first three
-
hours didn't want to drink anything. Nothing he wants Right
-
now he goes, all things have been accomplished, that the
-
scripture might be fulfilled. And then he said, I the
-
yes day. Now you say you Thirsty's not. I give
-
you a drink. You don't have to drink. So we
-
know why he didn't because he didn't want to be numbed.
-
He wanted to take everything for us, right his body
-
broken for us to the last moments, not just the whipping,
-
but now the nailing. And then at this point he says,
-
I thirst And then verse twenty nine. Now a vessel
-
full of sour wine was sitting there without the gulls.
-
Just the sour wine, right, And they filled a sponge
-
with the sour wine, and then they put it to
-
his mouth. Bab you must. I don't think we've ever
-
been that sick before met accident. Letter, But pro those
-
who been burned had accident or whatever. You're all dry overnight.
-
You haven't drunk anything. You've been been jar, you've been
-
trialed and everything, and then now you beat me. Wow,
-
all this happening, I'm sure there's no more. You're thirst steeler,
-
you're just dry, right, And and give him this thing
-
and he puts it at his mouth. He doesn't take
-
it because when he had he just dabbed his mouth.
-
He receives the sour wine. And then he said it
-
is finished, and bowing his head, he gave up the spirit.
-
He chose to give up his life. So some writers say,
-
while I put one more thing there, I thirst. I
-
think until the end Jesus wants you to know he understands.
-
So come, so come first, dry parch nothing one more,
-
one more by thirst that humanness of us. Sometimes we
-
also get there will he understand all those fifteen things
-
I wrote? There will he understand? Come on, I you
-
thirs you long for that. The invitation is come. So
-
I want to say, set yourself up for God's best
-
plans for you. Set yourself up for God's best plans
-
for you. Next light, the work had the Cross is
-
more powerful than we think, than we know. We forget,
-
maybe we don't understand. But there's a slide. Could you
-
turn to the next light. I want us to remember
-
again that his work at the Cross is really complete,
-
and he sets us up. He sets it up with
-
the best plans. Amen. But those best plans are based
-
on his timing, his workings, not ours. God's timing, God's
-
dream for you. Set yourself up. You've got to set
-
yourself up for God's best plans by walking with him.
-
When he says, I does, it tells you that you
-
can come to him. Why because just moving up just
-
I'll give the overall is that you can trust Jesus.
-
Come on, you can trust in Jesus. You just I
-
don't know who you want to trust? Friends? You gotta
-
trust Jesus. There's no one else. I thirst, he says,
-
why you do, because there's nothing left. I'm as human
-
in this position now, but I'm gonna be raisen. You
-
can come and you can trust me. There's an invitation
-
you can trust in Jesus. I tell you, friends, we
-
all will have That's why I said, as a crowd,
-
we can all say Hosannah, Hossannah. As a solo person,
-
would you stand and still say Hosannah, Jossanna, I trust you?
-
Would you still allow yourself to be set up for
-
the best plans that God has for you? But you'd
-
have to trust him. And when I say you're trusting
-
Jesus moving, the next is that some days it's waiting
-
and let Jesus stake control. Amen, Let Jesus s take control.
-
And it's tough. We all want to be in control.
-
That's the sin nature, that's the flesh. We want to
-
be in control. But the moment you and I are
-
in control of our lives, you are going to miss
-
the best plans that God has for you. We have
-
to just surrender. And we do this on a daily
-
regular basis as we check our hearts, you know, great
-
time in the U turn checking our hearts and and
-
just you know, allowing God to just to search us
-
and bring a revival, revive us into his presence, into
-
his words of life. Amen. And you, you and sometimes
-
you because you've now got a look get Jesus and
-
think he was living the best plans that Father God
-
had for him. But that meant going to the cross.
-
But that was the best plan. So your best plans
-
will always be about the flesh and what's best for
-
you in your brains. But in God's brains, his best
-
plans for you look nothing like what you want, better,
-
only better. But but but there's this waiting. And then
-
Jesus take the wheel. Jesus take control of the car.
-
And then someone told me today, Yeah, I said, Jesus,
-
take control. But can I tell you where to turn?
-
That's me today. Yeah, yeah, Jesus take turn. Now turn,
-
I told you, Jesus, no, heye, no. Then he ain't
-
in control. You are, And when you are, you tell me.
-
And you know what, the only spit such a gentleman. Okay,
-
my drop And then you hit somewhere else. And I
-
think I'm not perfect. I'm still learning to trust Jesus
-
and wait on him. But I know that every time
-
I surrendered, those plans just fell in place. Despite the
-
challenges that came. I have to say there were challenges,
-
but I knew that I was in the right place,
-
at the right time, in the right season to do
-
what I had to do. So you go to this
-
story of the Cross, you look at every step of
-
what Christ is done for us. I think we can
-
identify a lot of those sections, you know, like yeah, yeah, yeah,
-
someone betrayed me, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah ye I
-
took you know, I wanted to break somebody's leg Yeah yeah, yeah,
-
I was the criminal, or you know, man I it
-
was hard to say anything in my pain or whatever.
-
You could go through that list, and Jesus has identified
-
with you and me, Amen, and that's why, that's why
-
the power of the Cross and what was finished at
-
the Cross is so precious that we tend to overlook.
-
The fact is our lives were bought with a price,
-
and this price was not bought by silver and gold,
-
but by the blood of Jesus. I tell you, nobody
-
has spilled their blood for you and me. I mean,
-
we can spill the rabina, but they will never spill
-
their blood because sometimes you're holding the rabina. I mean,
-
not Ineny spilled you. You spilled the blood of Jesus.
-
That's right, Bena. So yeah, you knowbody's gonna spill blood
-
for you and me. Not even my husband will spill
-
blood for me because he can't. He loves me, but
-
I know he can't give his life for me. As
-
much as all husbands will give their lives for their
-
children for their wives, They're not our savior. Jesus is.
-
And that's why I want to encourage us today as
-
Good Friday, a remembrance again, God has the best plans
-
for you. I mean, you may think you've messed up
-
or like I didn't plan for this? Or are you o?
-
You all that and this and oh my yesterday, my past,
-
no today and your future. If you would take the
-
power of the Cross, then set yourself up for God's
-
best plans for you. But you gotta trust him, like
-
like there's no one to trust law so so still,
-
when I was sick that day in Melbourne, in my
-
mind I couldn't talk. In my mind, I was like God,
-
I I have no one else to heal me but you.
-
So you know I ain't gonna be praying in tongues
-
one hundred times. I'm just I'm here, but I'm in pain, right,
-
But I just couldn't. I couldn't. Just headache and everything
-
was happening, but in my heart, I said, Lord that
-
I have no other option. It's you. So, Lord, I'm
-
in your hands. Really take me home now or you
-
get me well and I get back to Malaysia. Right.
-
So there's this assurance that I will trust in you
-
regardless whatever that I have to take or don't take.
-
There has to be that trust that God will take
-
care of you. Friends. Has too many times we've planned
-
our lives according to my ways and and and then
-
when we get stuck, then we blame God again. What
-
we needn't even ask him permission? Now you blame him
-
very good h one hundred marks. Right. You didn't even
-
ask the Lord? Should I go there? Should I migrate?
-
Should I take this job? This? That, whatever you are
-
there is? I don't know so many things right, But
-
we never got used to coming closer and closer and
-
talking to Jesus that way. But this cross that he
-
took for us, it is not a separation, one more
-
one more bridge he built for us to say I first, first,
-
why Jesus, why you first? Just one more thing for
-
us to be able to trust him, because he's done
-
all these, all these all the audi someone like one
-
more thing to tell us. I first, whoa and and
-
and for me, I'm just thinking if I don't know
-
anything else, the fact that he just went all the way, Okay,
-
so versus it's not difficult. You don't. I don't need
-
to give you theology. You know God. God theology is
-
the study of God. God has revealed himself to us.
-
He gave us his one, one son, one son only
-
This son said yes, Father, I will go. But then
-
it became his. It became his to the point that
-
Father of you could take this cup, please do. But
-
if not your will be done, then He's willing now
-
to embrace us and take this cop so that there's
-
a chance for all of us to choose him and
-
to live forgiven and to live in it in direct
-
relationship with Father God. And that's why he has already
-
set us up for victory, because the victory is ours
-
the best plans too. But you know, as you step
-
into this, you've got to trust God all the way.
-
Cannot No, you have to. I got no one else
-
to trust. Ready, Friends, you and I are living in
-
a time where everything is happening. Okay, oil price is
-
going up, my low price is going up, my low
-
my favorite Okay, all right, oil going up, my low
-
price going up. I don't know what else price is
-
going on. My curry pup went up in and how
-
many thirty percent were? Now? Okay, so this is right?
-
Don't you just say, Oh, Malaysia is going to know
-
everywhere everywhere. It's not just Malayias, everywhere. Every country is
-
going through tough times because somebody going bang or oil
-
you know, and flag gone, you know, Ukraine and everywhere,
-
a little bit here and there, and everything is just
-
becoming so expensive. Right. So therefore, so where is God
-
in all of these plans for you and me? Where
-
it hasn't changed. He still says you may have eternal life,
-
and he still has the best plans for us. But
-
that plan got to seek the Lord and say, God,
-
where should I be at this point in time? Is
-
this the right time to do this or that? And
-
made the word of the Lord come to you. And
-
then you trust in Jesus. Amen, you just have to trust,
-
because fancy, if you're not trusting in Jesus, then you
-
are trusting in something else, which I believe those of
-
us were following our uturn reading God got so upset
-
with the people of Israel because they weren't trusting him.
-
They were trusting in an idol. So are you trusting
-
in your money, bill, your wealth because God said he'll
-
bless you to make money, to make well? But are
-
you living for that to the point that you forgot
-
about the Lord? Are you building something just about your child?
-
Isn't she lovely? Right? Right? Don't look at father? But anyway,
-
ah uh uh, you know your children. You live your
-
whole life for that, and then you forget that It
-
is the Lord of bless us with the children. And
-
so my life is offered up to the Lord now,
-
and I serve the Lord. Amen. Whatever position we're in,
-
whatever God has, so we trust in him. And then
-
there will be the moments when we have to wait
-
on him without rushing and let Jesus take control because
-
because sometimes we cannot really serious, I don't know how
-
to say it. I wish I could speak hockey. And
-
my life is so good, you know, so good, But
-
I don't know, and you know how to say right,
-
Bobian la bobian really like you're stuck. I don't know.
-
I turned everything and it's just Biana. There is nothing
-
I can do, really what to do. But but life
-
is not bobian Lah. Life is the Lord is my
-
my focus. The Lord is my guide, he is my compass.
-
I've gona bearing myself again, and then okay, follow this way.
-
We just had a conversation about bearings just now because
-
I said, for the life of me, I can't even
-
read the Google walk thing. I can't do it. I
-
just get lost or go around and around and around
-
and around, and yeah, I can't. I just can't read maps.
-
I'm so so bad. So but then when you're left
-
with that live's got compass, which is the Lord, then
-
you will follow there. When they are going to be
-
days you're going to say, really, I don't know what
-
nothing to do. I don't know what else to do.
-
I don't know. That's it. But I want to say
-
to us, whether we are little, or whether we are
-
midway or that way or closer to the grave, anyway,
-
you still have the Lord. Wait on the Lord, let
-
him take control, trust him all the way. What's the
-
best plens He still has Amen, And I'm very worried
-
when we start making those plans like it was God's blends,
-
meaning I decide this is this is there, I decide
-
this and this is it my children going to be doctor, accountant, artists. Uh, celebrity,
-
Are you decide everything here? Right? Everything you decide? Read?
-
A poor child has no decision? Where is God in
-
this picture? Right?
-
Your child has no I want to be pastors. Try, try, try, try, try.
-
One kid asked my husband already, time out.
-
I want to be a bastard like you. Why because
-
people give you things? You want to be a bastard
-
because people give him things are yours? So we plan everything.
-
So well because it fits. This is the flesh, it
-
fits us. But how did how many of you remember
-
reading the scriptures? It never fits. His ways are higher,
-
his thoughts are higher, His plans always for our best.
-
It never fits your brain, but it definitely fits in
-
the way God has a destiny for us. And there
-
were surprise supplies. WHOA, I didn't know this is gonna happen. Yes,
-
this is how God opened that door. Who you're gonna meet,
-
this is the person in that person gets touched by
-
your life, and then it goes. It just keeps going
-
and keeps going. Right. I want to live like that.
-
I hear people telling me how God speaking to this
-
or that, I don't hear anything. I just obey, you
-
need you whatever. But but some people need that, others
-
like me, I just obey, Are you tell me? I do?
-
That's it, you know, But but that's how each of
-
us will hear him, each of us will listen, each
-
of us will do. But I just want to say,
-
come on, still, just reiterating that there are too many people.
-
We are not trusting Jesus. Too many believers in the
-
law are not trusting Jesus. You are just thinking an
-
idea of Jesus, but not Jesus. It's how you you,
-
you have you you want to fall in love. I
-
don't know what's the word. You are in love with love,
-
not really in love with the boy, the idea of love. Yes,
-
it is lovely to be in love until you get married.
-
Then you realize, oh mg, who is this Anne? Are
-
you no? Right? Yeah? And nobody told us. Come on,
-
tell the truth, married people, Tell the truth. It's it's
-
not just about the sex, man, people stop in love.
-
It's suddenly getting you what. Don't tell her then two
-
months only old? Not two months old only? No? We
-
we we don't because we are in love with an idea,
-
an idea of living in sabah. But you never been
-
to Suba. How you know? Jungle out there? I know? Actually, no, lie,
-
it's quite modern. Ka okay, Saba is beautiful. Off you
-
go there and never come back to k already really
-
they go there, they never come back. Oh my kayle
-
friends all there forever becomes Saba. Hun ready chop sea
-
rim they see you know? Yeah, you Jesus have an idea.
-
You just idea that this is how the girl should be,
-
the guy should be, the house should be, the plaine
-
should be, the country should be, my family should be.
-
Two friends, Can I burst your bubble and tell you?
-
Unless it's Jesus in the house, Jesus in the center
-
of it all. I don't know where you're saying it
-
with such conviction. She used to say, the center of
-
it all. No turn on Jesus. Yeah, Jesus there, the
-
center of it all. No left now, Jesus left. Please
-
don't sing, that's all. Don't sing it. Then we don't sing.
-
Then quiet y'all better know you've got conviction after that.
-
But God, Jesus is the center of you know? How
-
come you decided on ddy? I decided and then you
-
dare say fast? I prayed about it. Jesus said, don't go.
-
They want to get the pass. Say, oh, Jesus told you, Okay,
-
five years down the line, he Jesus, you don't know
-
I wrongly? Oh you hurt wrongly? M I my ears,
-
your ears or my ears, I don't know. But this
-
is this is the reality and the joke it's it's
-
it's it's It's not so much how much you know,
-
it's how much you're experiencing on a day to day basis. Amen.
-
And the Cross is not a joke. The Cross, it's
-
not a legenda of the Cross is real. That's why
-
we have faith and we believe that Jesus done it
-
for us. All and all he's saying is I'm here.
-
You can trust me. Come, I've done everything. Just come
-
and I'll guide you and I'll lead you. I'll never
-
forsake you. I'll never leave you. If we're broken, Hey,
-
Jesus was broken. Law. Amen. If we feel like we
-
know someone, just backstep you. You're so a watler, you know, Yeah,
-
So you really have to. You gotta look at those
-
fifteen steps. There's just fewer needs, so many things Jesus
-
went through. If for those who are church planters, you
-
feel like, oh my goodness, I lost all the sheep.
-
You know the movie that is, Honey, I shrunk the kids,
-
this buster. I shrunk the church. You know. One day
-
it was one hundred, tomorrow twenty and what happened? What
-
happened to the seventy? We're the senior person. Whatever that
-
you won't scold a person's it? What do you do right? Right?
-
Like I s strong the church. Let's start all over again.
-
We ain't scared. We just had to work again, correct
-
whatever we made wrong, and then just that again. Because
-
Jesus strong the church by telling them what you must
-
eat my body and drink my blood, you know, and
-
he wants sitting together day be talking. You made the word.
-
He lost his head. That's it. We're not following Jesus
-
because he's talking about eating blurred, drinking blood, eating flesh.
-
That's not God at all. But that was the new
-
covenant in his body, the new covenant signed on it
-
by his blood. But they couldn't see it. Sometimes we
-
can't see it that God is actually doing something so different.
-
But we just only know one way I know Jesus
-
is one way to get to yes. One way Jesus.
-
But the one way that you are seeing is the
-
one way that you created your life, your vision of life.
-
But you haven't allowed yourself to look at the bigness
-
of the generosity, of God's bigness of his plans for you.
-
And the cross is not so small a thing so small.
-
It's a small so anyone can do it. Jini's more
-
small the cross the world. No, it was a big job, nobody.
-
It was like, you know, some Italian big job and
-
rob the bank or whatever. This Jesus had to rub
-
all of all of hell so that we could have heaven. Amen. Amen.
-
And so that's victory is yours already. Amen, Church, Amen,
-
Ala and Lujah, we have glory to God. Amen. Amen.
-
So you would come. You know, before the world began,
-
he has created all things, He has made all things
-
for us. But Jesus stepped into our world. Nobody else
-
has stepped into our world. That's the hope for each one.
-
You may sit you. I don't know what you're going through.
-
I don't know what your doubts are, I don't know
-
what your plans. I don't know. But the Lord knows already.
-
And my encouragement is you can come to him. You
-
can trust him to lead you. You can also trust
-
him to guide you through the plans that you already
-
have set in motion by you willing to surrender and say, Lord,
-
have I done the right steps? Amen? Or maybe you're
-
in a circumstances you find it very complicated and you
-
don't know how to get out of it. Also ask
-
the Lord, Lord, this is a very complicated situation. Is
-
it my fault? Is it the circumstances which I'm in?
-
But Lord, you said that you are the way, the
-
truth and the life, and then show me the way. Then, Lord,
-
show me truth. What is it that I'm missing? You? Lord,
-
lead me, lead me because you are my life? Amen,
-
a man. Church, every need that we have, it just
-
cannot come the way we want it. That's what I'm saying.
-
It just won't. For I want church to be in
-
a certain picture and a certain way. But then look
-
at all your faces. Are you in a certain face? No?
-
Everybody is different? In my mind, this is how how No,
-
in my mind as zero. Actually planting a church was
-
like zero, blunt chee. Why love? And then this is
-
what we have today? Right, we have churches everywhere. But
-
then God had a plan and he brought different ones
-
into our lives, and then we just had to say, Okay, Lord,
-
we take care of the sheep. We take care of
-
the sheep the best we know how as you lead us. Right,
-
so you can write things, but but the lot will
-
then lead you every step of So that's what I
-
encourage you. It's just to say, God Jesus is saying
-
to you you can trust him. You can't trust him.
-
You can because he didn't numb himself, He took the pin,
-
he didn't run, He didn't ask angels to come and
-
take over and take his place. The angels already I think,
-
come on, God, let just don't hold me back. Michael, okay,
-
pro like, no, no, don't don't hold me back. Let
-
me go. No, no, Jesus is I'm gonna do it.
-
So this price that was paid, it's really worth every
-
Let it. Let it just sink into your heart that
-
you are worth every ounce of his blood. You are
-
worth every ounce of his blood, his bones, his whole being. Amen.
-
We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
