  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your deed.

  3. All right. The verse I just want to read some

  4. scripture with us first. Amen. So this is Second Corinthians,

  5. chapter one and verse three to five. And you let's

  6. read through this, okay. It says, Praise be to God

  7. and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the Father of

  8. compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us

  9. in all loud troubles, so that we can comfort those

  10. in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves has received

  11. from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow

  12. over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort

  13. over flows. Amen. So it's praise God, yeah, because he

  14. has such compassion, and it is the Lord who comforts

  15. us in whatever time of need. Amen. And then whatever

  16. that we have been comforted, we can comfort others. Amen.

  17. So when we go through different difficult trials, remember the

  18. comfort of God is for you, and he goes before you.

  19. And whatever the sufferings of Christ has flowed through into

  20. our lives, so that through Christ, you know, we are

  21. comforted and His comfort is overflowing through us. This is

  22. our our This is the promise that is given to

  23. us through Christ Jesus. Okay amen. And this only happened

  24. because of the Friday, one blessed Friday more than two

  25. thousand years ago, our Lord went to Calvary. And then

  26. in Hebrews chapter four, verse fifteen, so we're talking about

  27. all these comfort well, God's comforting us. And then the

  28. comfort I comfort others or comfort comfort comfort, Wow, so

  29. many comforts? Right? Why because of this Hebrews four fifteen said, is,

  30. let's read it together, For we do not have a

  31. high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,

  32. but we have one who has been tempted in every

  33. way just as we are, yet without sin. Amen, hallelujah.

  34. You know this is a This verse helps helps us

  35. to know that we have a Christ. We have a

  36. savior who is our high priest, who doesn't have to

  37. sacrifice any more lambs rams and goats anymore lambs rams

  38. and goats, because he was a sacrificial lamb. Amen. And

  39. so he is the high priest that has has able

  40. to understand your pain, understand your challenge, understand that life

  41. is complicated. You know that we have nobody understands us not,

  42. but Jesus does because he faced all these challenges, these temptations.

  43. But in every way he was tempted, he never sin Amen.

  44. So the question is why did he have to come

  45. to earth. He could have just come one day and kaboom,

  46. everything was done. But he came for thirty three years.

  47. He walked as you walk. Yeah, he went through all that.

  48. It was so easy for God to just hey, just

  49. send him now and kaboom and and everything's done. But

  50. our father, our heavenly Father, did not have that plan.

  51. He sent his one and only son, whom he had

  52. to hard ways to come into an earth that was

  53. so messy. All the other plans failed, and so he says, so, well,

  54. oh well, go, I guess I have to send my son.

  55. And the son could have said, no way, man, no way,

  56. O say, the earth is so terrible. But he stepped

  57. out of heaven on to earth, which was so messy,

  58. so full of sin. God's plan was not for us

  59. to have full of sin. But so it has happened.

  60. It had happened, and Jesus had to come and live

  61. with us and lived among us. You can read that

  62. in the Book of John Chatter the one he lived

  63. among us, and then he couldn't recognize him because he

  64. didn't look like a king. Nobody even knew that was

  65. Jesus love. Can you imagine he had to be betrayed

  66. by a kiss because they didn't know what he looked like.

  67. He looked like any other John down the street. If

  68. your name is John, sorry, oh John, John's better looking

  69. than Jesus. Come down, guys, come down. So okay. He

  70. wasn't looking like any other Joshua. There's a Joshua. Oh boy,

  71. let's choose a Hebrew name. He didn't look like. No,

  72. I don't have got opened. I had it. So he

  73. walked as we would have walked. And he went through

  74. all these all the temptations, all the I don't know.

  75. One day you're gonna go to heaven and you can

  76. ask him all the questions you want to ask. Maybe

  77. you won't have any questions because you feel too loved.

  78. Everything would have been washed away in his love. Amen.

  79. But but he walked. He went through all things. He

  80. he had highs, he had lows. He was hungry, Come on,

  81. he was hungry. He fell asleep, he was tired. He

  82. had a little pillow in the sailboat. Right. He got

  83. angry when people made a mockery of the temple, you know,

  84. so he got upset. He was hungry, he loved to eat.

  85. You know. He wept. Jesus wept, he was betrayed. People

  86. left him. If he planted a church, I can tell

  87. you I don't feel so bad because all of them

  88. left him, and only twelve people left, so oh Lord,

  89. that is in John chapter six, verse sixty six. They

  90. all left him. So, by the way, if you think

  91. we are bad church, plannters, at least here God something

  92. you know, ranga. But but they're no. Jesus left with twelve.

  93. They all left him, so he's probably felt what kind

  94. of ministry is this? I feel right, No, we go

  95. to so much. I want you to know, Jesus walked

  96. at every pain that you will ever ever have to

  97. go through, and and and and he went through it.

  98. He just went through it. But he never sinned, okay,

  99. and come to the cross. So the journey to the cross,

  100. there were several details of the challenges which was prophesied

  101. in earlier before the birth of Christ, and then when

  102. he came it was fulfilled. And I just have a

  103. little schedule here for you. Okay, didn't didn't? Yeah, okay,

  104. all right, all right, this is what happens when you

  105. know Master's right, you just do all these things. Yes, okay,

  106. So the screenshot everybody, because these are beautiful promises. They

  107. are found in the Old Testament and then fulfilled in

  108. the New Testament. And these are details of challenges where

  109. Christ when Christ went to the cross. Now, anyone here

  110. ever had a betrayal of a best friend? Come on, well,

  111. Jesus went through. It was prophesied in the Old Testament,

  112. New Testament. It happened. If you've ever been forsaken by somebody,

  113. Jesus was forsaken. They all left him, all right. Have

  114. you ever felt forsaken by anyone who could feel more

  115. than Jesus himself? False accusation? Have you been ever accused

  116. falsely or wrongly? He was falsely accused of And they said,

  117. you know what he told us, we shouldn't pay our

  118. texes to Caesar. How wrong was that? We knew he said,

  119. who's face on that coin? Caesar? Then pay your tax

  120. to Caesar. But they began to accuse him of different things.

  121. Oh he said this, Oh he's he's you know, bringing

  122. up an incision. You know he's this, he is the

  123. and they lied and there was a false accusation. How

  124. about the silence before his judges Herod asked him questions

  125. and asked him, and he just was quiet silence. He

  126. never argued back, never tried to defend himself. I can't no,

  127. I will defend myself. But he just just silenced himself

  128. and kept quiet. Wow, people just judged him. He will

  129. bring up proven. I don't want to being proven, not

  130. bring being proven guiltless. He was proven guiltless. And when

  131. they saw that, you know he had that, they couldn't

  132. find anything wrong. So in verse first John, chapter three

  133. and verse five, he says that if you turn to

  134. first John, chapter three, it is a beautiful verse because

  135. you can read it in the Old Testament, but in

  136. the New Testament. In first John, it's a verse that

  137. we've read before, and we want to read it together.

  138. Verse John three and verse five, which says, and you

  139. know that he was that he was manifested to take

  140. away our sins, and in him there is no sin

  141. amen in Christ, there was no sin, thank you so

  142. much xtv, no sin at all, and so proven guiltless.

  143. But you know what lots of accusation. He was even

  144. being included with the sinners, you know, So it was

  145. prophesied and then it came up, and then it happened

  146. because he had two robbers hanging with him on the

  147. right and on the left who actually worked criminal house. Yea,

  148. so he was even with the sinner. So have you

  149. ever felt that you were such a sinner? Like, ah,

  150. I've seen I'm this lousy, crappy person. Hey, Jesus was

  151. with them. He was not a shame of them. He

  152. was going to be crucified as well, and he was

  153. included with the sinner. Then he was being crucified. That

  154. was also prophesied that he would be crucified, and then

  155. it happened, all right, the mockery of the spectators. People

  156. were saying, hey, if you are the son of God,

  157. come on, bring yourself down, and you know, come on,

  158. you can do that. You said this, you said that.

  159. They mocked him, Now show us your power. And all

  160. of that was prophesied ahead of time, and then it happened.

  161. So he was terribly mocked. People, would you know, just

  162. say things. And these were the same people who probably

  163. came and asked for healing These were the same people

  164. who waved the palm trees and said Hosanna, Hosanna, blessed

  165. be the name of the Lord, or he who comes

  166. in the name of the Lord. They were the They

  167. were there, you know, waving yay. And this happens in

  168. a crowd, It can happen to us. We might be

  169. crowd follow us. That's why we say our salvation our

  170. personal walking crisis a personal while it is, it is

  171. a personal conviction of faith is personal. You can follow

  172. a crowd, but when you are left alone, will you

  173. stand for Jesus? Will I stand for Jesus? It's a

  174. personal faith. And I tell you we're all working out

  175. our salvation and that not that we're doing anything very

  176. but what meaning we're growing in our fath we're walking

  177. in our favor, we're going throughout, we're tumbling and we're

  178. standing up again. But because it's easy to be in

  179. a crowd, it's easy to jump and be with everybody,

  180. But when we're alone, Jesus was alone, people mocking him.

  181. He you know, you got like I good to tell

  182. you I'm not, but just silence, and he just took

  183. it right. And then he was the taunt of non deliverance.

  184. You know, people just say, Comela, deliver yourself. Well you

  185. don't deliver yourself. Come on, man, come on, maka. You know,

  186. keep saying like that to him and just siland right,

  187. the gambling of his garments. So I don't know, I

  188. don't know. Someday if you read the Gospels, I think

  189. it's in Lucas. Every year I read the Journey to

  190. the Cross, and so I read this year as well.

  191. And then he says, they put on him a gorgeous robe.

  192. And what does that mean? Like is it silk or

  193. was it? No? Is it leppard skin? Not to know, right,

  194. But but there was this gambling. They wanted to throw

  195. dice and say, oh, who have which shall we take?

  196. They say, no, don't tear it. Seamless. It was a

  197. seamless robe. And so that was also prophesied. And then

  198. the prayer he prayed for his enemies, he said, Lord,

  199. forgive them, forgive them, for they know not what they do.

  200. What mercy? What a heart that that that that that

  201. was just shown. People were mocking him, they were taking

  202. him down but to China town. But you know he

  203. was He's like praying for them, you know, like you know,

  204. can't even breathe. He's he's been beaten, he's been whipped.

  205. His whole face has been disfigured. His body is in

  206. tremendous pain. He's hanging on the cross. He can't breathe,

  207. he's having fever. Likely you know, when you cut your

  208. finger or just that already can get people, you know.

  209. So this is his whole body is just beaten and

  210. stripped and then you know it's exposed and bleeding, and

  211. there he is saying, Lord, or give them because they

  212. know not what they do. Wow. You know, so have

  213. you ever felt like, you know, your enemies were just

  214. at you, and did you ever say, Lord, forgive them,

  215. or you like kill their men? Right? So you know

  216. you ever felt that way. Jesus went through that. But

  217. what did he say? He said, Lord, forgive them? Okay,

  218. because he's Jesus. Okay, yeah, he's Jesus. But he was

  219. very much a man at the time hanging on the cross.

  220. He was not on supernatural power, all right. He was

  221. very much the man like you and I are. The

  222. pain is just shooting up constantly because of being nailed,

  223. being forsaken by God. This is the only time when

  224. the father and him were separated because the sin of

  225. all men was on him, of all mankind. That's why

  226. he said Eli lamasabahtani, because he says, my God, my God,

  227. why have you forsaken me? The father had to turn

  228. his face because of all our sin on Jesus, and

  229. God is holy. So Jesus is saying, I'm separated from

  230. my father, and they've never been separated. Of course, he

  231. came to earth, but he was always communing, But at

  232. this time he didn't. Have you ever felt separated on

  233. people that you loved, you know, have you ever felt

  234. alone in different things? Jesus was very much alone, separated

  235. from his father, the one that he loved and the

  236. one who loved him. And if you ever been through that, friends,

  237. look at this. This is every detail here many of

  238. us have gone through when we're on our own. Then

  239. the yielding of his spirit into the hands of the father.

  240. So some people say the Roman soldiers killed him. Some

  241. people say, oh, you know, the leaders of Israel killed him. No,

  242. he decided when he was going to go down to Chinatown.

  243. He decided when it is finished, when he saw all

  244. things were in place, he breathe his lass. He said

  245. it is finished, and then he bowties it. So no,

  246. the Romans didn't kill him. The Roman soldiers didn't kill him.

  247. He laid his life down. He laid his life down. Amen,

  248. some of you lay your life down for your family,

  249. for your friends. You chose that the timing, timing. Everything's

  250. about timing, isn't it. It had to come to that

  251. timing for Jesus to go to the cross, and he said, Lord,

  252. if you could take this cup please, because he knew

  253. how horrible it, the pain, the terribleness. This man was

  254. not hanging with a little loin cloth. He was hanging naked.

  255. This is my and your savior, how naked. It's the

  256. most embarrassing thing. The death on the cross just remind

  257. us every year. Was the most humiliating death that the

  258. Romans prepared for those who were criminals. Else Jesus was

  259. treated like a criminal. If you ever think about criminals

  260. ministry in the prison, how they come to know Christ.

  261. They felt I'm a criminal. Someone us feel like criminals

  262. because of the way we might walk, and I walk

  263. with Jesus. But Jesus was treated like a criminal, so

  264. he knows how you might feel. And people in prison

  265. come to know Christ. We cannot say they don't have

  266. a right to know Jesus. Amen. Everyone has a chance,

  267. but they have to choose. Never write off your family

  268. members and say this person God never can Never. One

  269. of our church members when I was in another church

  270. plant and having lunch, and he said, because I shared

  271. a message, and they say, no, Pastor, I want to

  272. tell you I have a family member, a family I

  273. have a family member on my mom's side or noll side,

  274. and we are so ashamed of him. We're so ashamed

  275. of this whole family, this uncle, or I don't know what.

  276. And we say, I don't think you'll ever come to cheese.

  277. I don't think you'll ever pass. He's into the spiritist

  278. world and doing all the lockhow you know the oh

  279. yeah you say in English, so you know where the

  280. spirit goes takes over what is you call it possess

  281. possess and then you know they can give you number,

  282. you know, lucky number, lucky lucky number. And so he

  283. doing all this, all this worship, right, he goes into

  284. all this spirit world right that that side. He said, no,

  285. I just said I wrote him off, you know, And

  286. he said, then one day the news came that he

  287. passed away, as I thought, heay, the least I can

  288. do is go for the funeral. So he went for

  289. the funeral, and he said, Fast. I was so shocked. Yes,

  290. who was doing the funeral? Your friend? My friend? Yeah,

  291. fast sway And so, my goodness, what happened? I also

  292. asked what happened? His son got saved and then he

  293. got saved. Oh, my goodness, isn't that amazing? Nobody should

  294. be wiped off? Wipe off whatever there you'll never write,

  295. you know, in DearS. He said, I'm so ashamed of

  296. myself because I wrote off my uncle and thinking he'll

  297. never he'll never. But even at the last hour, you

  298. accept Christ. Look at the criminals hanging. He said, today

  299. you will be with me in paradise. Oh and so

  300. this church leadered. The brother told me, your pastor never

  301. write off anybody, even to the last, to the last.

  302. You know, I gave up on this uncle. But how

  303. his son got saved. And so he then got saved,

  304. even through the sickness that he was in terminal. But

  305. then he accepted Christ. And then here is this your friend,

  306. the pastor doing the service. Because the sun attends this

  307. church and this pass is very good ministry with elderly people.

  308. She came to minister and so he said, I'm not

  309. I learned a lesson. See, Jesus was treated as a criminal,

  310. but even criminals can accept rice. Everyone has a chance. Amen.

  311. And then his bones were not broken, so when they

  312. were going to break his legs, and then they saw, hey,

  313. you're gone. Hey, because he knew that his spirit, I

  314. choose to lay down my life, and so they never

  315. broke his bones. So that's already prophesied. And lastly the

  316. burial in a rich man's tomb. Wow, you know here

  317. he is a criminal, treated as a criminal, hanging there,

  318. and usually that's it. Nobody cares. They just throw them aside.

  319. But Joseph of Arimathea came, who was part of the council.

  320. He went to Pilot and said, can I please take

  321. the body? And Nicodemus, who they were all scared of,

  322. the of the of the of the these leaders lost

  323. so they never said that they followed Jesus, but they believed.

  324. And you see, God will provide. Come on, come on,

  325. if you feel like you're stuck, you don't know where

  326. your provision's gonna come. God provides, And this man, Joseph

  327. of Aramathea came and said, give me his body, I'll

  328. take him. And he placed him in a tomb that

  329. was in a gud and it was a new tomb.

  330. It was for the rich. Yay, only rich people got

  331. toomb loud. Now we all know, right because we all

  332. want to bury. It cannot bury Singapore. You let let

  333. no bury now burn, you know, they have no place

  334. to bury. That's it, that's it. You know, all your

  335. ashes will fly up one day. But in Malaysia we

  336. still can't bury. You know.

  337. But again, how many thousand and thirty forty thousand for

  338. a piece of burial land, you know, And so Jesus

  339. may have been stripped for and that we could be rich.

  340. But at his death he was. He was buried in

  341. a rich man's tomb, and that was prophesied as well.

  342. And there was Joseph who took him into this tomb,

  343. the Garden Tomb. Honestly, they if you ever get to Israel,

  344. they're supposed we were. I've been to the Garden Tomb. Unfortunately,

  345. Baba Saiety couldn't afford to keep running it, so they

  346. closed it. But that's where they believe that Jesus was made.

  347. There are a few tombs of Jesus. One they feel

  348. this is the one. There's one somewhere in Jerusie. I

  349. don't know where, but because of the way they look

  350. at he had to die outside of the city. So

  351. this is the bearings Simeon Bearings. Oh and then you

  352. get there and the beautiful garden too. I had that pass,

  353. that opportunity to be there. It's just amazing, you know.

  354. And so you know the whole details, the challenges that

  355. Jesus took the last week of his life, he was

  356. still preaching. He knew was going to go, but he

  357. kept his eyes on the Lord, on the on the mission.

  358. He had a mission impossible, and he was not Ethan

  359. whatever his name is, but he was keeping his eyes

  360. on the mission to to to finish it. Amen. And

  361. so I wonder why am I bringing this as a reminder.

  362. You can read this, of course, but it's just so

  363. that we will not be little the cross and what

  364. Jesus has done. And once a year we have our

  365. forty days prayer or twenty one days of prayer, and

  366. we call it lend. And I think it's actually a

  367. good practice because we forget two hundred and sixty five days,

  368. we do everything we want on our own, and then

  369. suddenly forty days we get too fast, or twenty one days.

  370. And then if you get to read, go back to

  371. the gospels, you follow right. And so the encouragement before

  372. I go to the point that I want to bring

  373. is that if you think about where you're at and

  374. what you're going through, look at these points, and we

  375. could have fallen into any we could be in this.

  376. We know life is complicated. Things happen. Life is even

  377. going to get more complicated with what's happening in the

  378. world today. We need to brace ourselves and know that

  379. everything is about God's timing, not your timing. Not your timing.

  380. God's timing so important. I also have to learn God's timing.

  381. Don't rush it then, cannot be too slow, then cannot

  382. be too fast. Don't run ahead of God, don't run

  383. behind him. So far, Let's walk with him, just as

  384. how he walked with the two with klop Us and

  385. the other friend to the road de mayors. He walked

  386. with them, and he listened to their complaints and their Ah,

  387. your disbelieve, that is Jesus who is here and then

  388. finally he opened the scriptures to them, but he walked

  389. with them. Don't walk, don't walk too ahead of Jesus,

  390. don't walk to behind Jesus. But let's he says, I

  391. call you as friends, abide with me, and let's walk

  392. with him a man. What encouragement to us as believers

  393. in Christ that Jesus walks with us as you walk

  394. with him? Amen? So I just want to bring a

  395. point before I go to my to The points I

  396. want to bring in is in Matthew Matthew, chapter twenty seven,

  397. just just the moments before he laid his life down.

  398. And I want you to sense the love and the

  399. commitment that Jesus made by saying, yes, I will go right.

  400. So here's a man who's been beaten, he stripped, he

  401. has no face anymore. You have to imagine that. I mean,

  402. we can't even I can't even imagine. I'll never know.

  403. I'll never know how much it costs. I'll never know

  404. because I'll never know the pain that Jesus went and

  405. he doesn't expect me to go through it. I'll never know.

  406. But there is this man who hung on the cross

  407. without a face, bleeding, naked and this is I want

  408. to take this back a little bit. Before he hung on,

  409. before they nailed him to the cross, he was carrying

  410. the cross. And then they came to god Gotha. And

  411. then they they said to Jesus Matthew twenty seven, verse

  412. thirty two, verse thirty three. When they came to a

  413. place called god Gotha, that is to say, the place

  414. of a skull. So if you go there, you look

  415. for the skull, then you notice where Jesus was. They

  416. gave him sour wine mingled with gall to drink, but

  417. when he had tasted it he could not drink. Then

  418. they crucified him. So before they crucified him, and probably

  419. is a practice to give the wine, the sour wine

  420. and the gall to them so that it acts as

  421. a so you don't feel the pain. Was that were

  422. and a numb aestet? Yeah, anesthesia name, that's somebody's name.

  423. I can't even pronounce the word so hard. Anyways, before

  424. they crucified him, like for everyone else, they gave this

  425. drink and when he tastes that, he knew what it was.

  426. But he was so committed to take that pain he said,

  427. no you sure, so no numbing, No injection because I

  428. tell you, I'm a scary cad. I cannot take pain.

  429. So they give me numbing cream to do some stuff,

  430. and I'm like, I feel the pain. Just jab me,

  431. and I kid you not. Once they jabuer, everything is numb,

  432. you know, and you can take all the pain later

  433. you that's it. Like, okay, So Jesus said no to

  434. the numbing medication or drink. You just just hit me,

  435. man with your best neil. Okay. So he did not

  436. compromise in taking your pain. When they nailed him, I

  437. think it just sent shock waves to his body. How

  438. do you nail the legs? The feet put together and

  439. nail we already touched little bit. So I don't know

  440. it was screams or what. Oh he just so I

  441. say that Christ didn't just have a happy, go lucky

  442. down there nail me. It was painful and he was

  443. not numbed. He felt and he took every nail. Every

  444. time they banged and hit the head of the nail,

  445. it sent shot waves. That was the pain that you

  446. and I would have had to taken the death of

  447. our sin. He took it for us. He went through that.

  448. And so he's hanging on the cross. He's he's saying, God,

  449. why do you forsake me? He's talking to John, this

  450. is your mom. There are those moments were like you

  451. can't reef. I just was not well recently. And the

  452. way my husband dramatized it to the k church, you know,

  453. they all thought I was gonna die right right, because

  454. I was so sick in Melbourne. I tell you church,

  455. Malaysia best doctor's, best hospital. You got no appointment, you

  456. just walk in. They will take care of you. You

  457. know there, make appointment and I may appointments. Say what

  458. time six thirty pm? Hey, hello, it's nine o'clock now

  459. six thirty halve diad.

  460. You know.

  461. And then I couldn't breathe because I did. We didn't

  462. know what it was. But actually this summer it was

  463. a case of very bad guess streak due to but

  464. it didn't happen here. It happened here. So it was

  465. sitting on a nerve the oni in La we call

  466. it phone ang in La, just a bag of yes

  467. and it pulled every time, and so I couldn't reeve,

  468. and I was in vain and I don't know what happened.

  469. My husband interceded all night and then we I mean,

  470. of course I went to say a doctor by the

  471. medicine was wrong. He said I got pneumonia, Alma. I

  472. threw up all all the medication. And my husband said,

  473. don't take it. I don't think I think you don't

  474. have anemonia. I don't think you have any more because

  475. I wasn't coughing and just don't do this to do

  476. without it, and I was having other no, I'm having

  477. a warm thing and purging ioe everything. But doctor said

  478. I got pneumonia. Mama, okay, So God really did the

  479. healing so that I could fly home two days later.

  480. This was after all the ministry was done. You know

  481. that who I'm just nothing. There's no nail on me.

  482. This is Jesus nail it. He is, Hello, care my son.

  483. I think here my mother got time, you know to

  484. say all he's words. We all like, just just hit

  485. me now, just kill me now right, just just shoot

  486. me then just stop it right, don't talk to me.

  487. I just know there is thinking about his mother. Who's

  488. going to take care? Okay, John, thank you very much,

  489. and oh your Lord please forgive them. No, they all

  490. they don't know what they do. He's going around doing that.

  491. And then in John chapter nineteen, verse twenty eight, this

  492. is though the clinches it all John chapter nineteen, verse

  493. twenty And after this, after all that, he's laid it

  494. all down. And after this he says, knowing that all

  495. things were now accomplished, come on, come on, now he

  496. saw that everything was settled. He's already walked thirty three years,

  497. and that last one week, and then now the last

  498. few hours. He's been hanging since twelve noon or whatever

  499. that's happened all the way. So from the first three

  500. hours didn't want to drink anything. Nothing he wants Right

  501. now he goes, all things have been accomplished, that the

  502. scripture might be fulfilled. And then he said, I the

  503. yes day. Now you say you Thirsty's not. I give

  504. you a drink. You don't have to drink. So we

  505. know why he didn't because he didn't want to be numbed.

  506. He wanted to take everything for us, right his body

  507. broken for us to the last moments, not just the whipping,

  508. but now the nailing. And then at this point he says,

  509. I thirst And then verse twenty nine. Now a vessel

  510. full of sour wine was sitting there without the gulls.

  511. Just the sour wine, right, And they filled a sponge

  512. with the sour wine, and then they put it to

  513. his mouth. Bab you must. I don't think we've ever

  514. been that sick before met accident. Letter, But pro those

  515. who been burned had accident or whatever. You're all dry overnight.

  516. You haven't drunk anything. You've been been jar, you've been

  517. trialed and everything, and then now you beat me. Wow,

  518. all this happening, I'm sure there's no more. You're thirst steeler,

  519. you're just dry, right, And and give him this thing

  520. and he puts it at his mouth. He doesn't take

  521. it because when he had he just dabbed his mouth.

  522. He receives the sour wine. And then he said it

  523. is finished, and bowing his head, he gave up the spirit.

  524. He chose to give up his life. So some writers say,

  525. while I put one more thing there, I thirst. I

  526. think until the end Jesus wants you to know he understands.

  527. So come, so come first, dry parch nothing one more,

  528. one more by thirst that humanness of us. Sometimes we

  529. also get there will he understand all those fifteen things

  530. I wrote? There will he understand? Come on, I you

  531. thirs you long for that. The invitation is come. So

  532. I want to say, set yourself up for God's best

  533. plans for you. Set yourself up for God's best plans

  534. for you. Next light, the work had the Cross is

  535. more powerful than we think, than we know. We forget,

  536. maybe we don't understand. But there's a slide. Could you

  537. turn to the next light. I want us to remember

  538. again that his work at the Cross is really complete,

  539. and he sets us up. He sets it up with

  540. the best plans. Amen. But those best plans are based

  541. on his timing, his workings, not ours. God's timing, God's

  542. dream for you. Set yourself up. You've got to set

  543. yourself up for God's best plans by walking with him.

  544. When he says, I does, it tells you that you

  545. can come to him. Why because just moving up just

  546. I'll give the overall is that you can trust Jesus.

  547. Come on, you can trust in Jesus. You just I

  548. don't know who you want to trust? Friends? You gotta

  549. trust Jesus. There's no one else. I thirst, he says,

  550. why you do, because there's nothing left. I'm as human

  551. in this position now, but I'm gonna be raisen. You

  552. can come and you can trust me. There's an invitation

  553. you can trust in Jesus. I tell you, friends, we

  554. all will have That's why I said, as a crowd,

  555. we can all say Hosannah, Hossannah. As a solo person,

  556. would you stand and still say Hosannah, Jossanna, I trust you?

  557. Would you still allow yourself to be set up for

  558. the best plans that God has for you? But you'd

  559. have to trust him. And when I say you're trusting

  560. Jesus moving, the next is that some days it's waiting

  561. and let Jesus stake control. Amen, Let Jesus s take control.

  562. And it's tough. We all want to be in control.

  563. That's the sin nature, that's the flesh. We want to

  564. be in control. But the moment you and I are

  565. in control of our lives, you are going to miss

  566. the best plans that God has for you. We have

  567. to just surrender. And we do this on a daily

  568. regular basis as we check our hearts, you know, great

  569. time in the U turn checking our hearts and and

  570. just you know, allowing God to just to search us

  571. and bring a revival, revive us into his presence, into

  572. his words of life. Amen. And you, you and sometimes

  573. you because you've now got a look get Jesus and

  574. think he was living the best plans that Father God

  575. had for him. But that meant going to the cross.

  576. But that was the best plan. So your best plans

  577. will always be about the flesh and what's best for

  578. you in your brains. But in God's brains, his best

  579. plans for you look nothing like what you want, better,

  580. only better. But but but there's this waiting. And then

  581. Jesus take the wheel. Jesus take control of the car.

  582. And then someone told me today, Yeah, I said, Jesus,

  583. take control. But can I tell you where to turn?

  584. That's me today. Yeah, yeah, Jesus take turn. Now turn,

  585. I told you, Jesus, no, heye, no. Then he ain't

  586. in control. You are, And when you are, you tell me.

  587. And you know what, the only spit such a gentleman. Okay,

  588. my drop And then you hit somewhere else. And I

  589. think I'm not perfect. I'm still learning to trust Jesus

  590. and wait on him. But I know that every time

  591. I surrendered, those plans just fell in place. Despite the

  592. challenges that came. I have to say there were challenges,

  593. but I knew that I was in the right place,

  594. at the right time, in the right season to do

  595. what I had to do. So you go to this

  596. story of the Cross, you look at every step of

  597. what Christ is done for us. I think we can

  598. identify a lot of those sections, you know, like yeah, yeah, yeah,

  599. someone betrayed me, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah ye I

  600. took you know, I wanted to break somebody's leg Yeah yeah, yeah,

  601. I was the criminal, or you know, man I it

  602. was hard to say anything in my pain or whatever.

  603. You could go through that list, and Jesus has identified

  604. with you and me, Amen, and that's why, that's why

  605. the power of the Cross and what was finished at

  606. the Cross is so precious that we tend to overlook.

  607. The fact is our lives were bought with a price,

  608. and this price was not bought by silver and gold,

  609. but by the blood of Jesus. I tell you, nobody

  610. has spilled their blood for you and me. I mean,

  611. we can spill the rabina, but they will never spill

  612. their blood because sometimes you're holding the rabina. I mean,

  613. not Ineny spilled you. You spilled the blood of Jesus.

  614. That's right, Bena. So yeah, you knowbody's gonna spill blood

  615. for you and me. Not even my husband will spill

  616. blood for me because he can't. He loves me, but

  617. I know he can't give his life for me. As

  618. much as all husbands will give their lives for their

  619. children for their wives, They're not our savior. Jesus is.

  620. And that's why I want to encourage us today as

  621. Good Friday, a remembrance again, God has the best plans

  622. for you. I mean, you may think you've messed up

  623. or like I didn't plan for this? Or are you o?

  624. You all that and this and oh my yesterday, my past,

  625. no today and your future. If you would take the

  626. power of the Cross, then set yourself up for God's

  627. best plans for you. But you gotta trust him, like

  628. like there's no one to trust law so so still,

  629. when I was sick that day in Melbourne, in my

  630. mind I couldn't talk. In my mind, I was like God,

  631. I I have no one else to heal me but you.

  632. So you know I ain't gonna be praying in tongues

  633. one hundred times. I'm just I'm here, but I'm in pain, right,

  634. But I just couldn't. I couldn't. Just headache and everything

  635. was happening, but in my heart, I said, Lord that

  636. I have no other option. It's you. So, Lord, I'm

  637. in your hands. Really take me home now or you

  638. get me well and I get back to Malaysia. Right.

  639. So there's this assurance that I will trust in you

  640. regardless whatever that I have to take or don't take.

  641. There has to be that trust that God will take

  642. care of you. Friends. Has too many times we've planned

  643. our lives according to my ways and and and then

  644. when we get stuck, then we blame God again. What

  645. we needn't even ask him permission? Now you blame him

  646. very good h one hundred marks. Right. You didn't even

  647. ask the Lord? Should I go there? Should I migrate?

  648. Should I take this job? This? That, whatever you are

  649. there is? I don't know so many things right, But

  650. we never got used to coming closer and closer and

  651. talking to Jesus that way. But this cross that he

  652. took for us, it is not a separation, one more

  653. one more bridge he built for us to say I first, first,

  654. why Jesus, why you first? Just one more thing for

  655. us to be able to trust him, because he's done

  656. all these, all these all the audi someone like one

  657. more thing to tell us. I first, whoa and and

  658. and for me, I'm just thinking if I don't know

  659. anything else, the fact that he just went all the way, Okay,

  660. so versus it's not difficult. You don't. I don't need

  661. to give you theology. You know God. God theology is

  662. the study of God. God has revealed himself to us.

  663. He gave us his one, one son, one son only

  664. This son said yes, Father, I will go. But then

  665. it became his. It became his to the point that

  666. Father of you could take this cup, please do. But

  667. if not your will be done, then He's willing now

  668. to embrace us and take this cop so that there's

  669. a chance for all of us to choose him and

  670. to live forgiven and to live in it in direct

  671. relationship with Father God. And that's why he has already

  672. set us up for victory, because the victory is ours

  673. the best plans too. But you know, as you step

  674. into this, you've got to trust God all the way.

  675. Cannot No, you have to. I got no one else

  676. to trust. Ready, Friends, you and I are living in

  677. a time where everything is happening. Okay, oil price is

  678. going up, my low price is going up, my low

  679. my favorite Okay, all right, oil going up, my low

  680. price going up. I don't know what else price is

  681. going on. My curry pup went up in and how

  682. many thirty percent were? Now? Okay, so this is right?

  683. Don't you just say, Oh, Malaysia is going to know

  684. everywhere everywhere. It's not just Malayias, everywhere. Every country is

  685. going through tough times because somebody going bang or oil

  686. you know, and flag gone, you know, Ukraine and everywhere,

  687. a little bit here and there, and everything is just

  688. becoming so expensive. Right. So therefore, so where is God

  689. in all of these plans for you and me? Where

  690. it hasn't changed. He still says you may have eternal life,

  691. and he still has the best plans for us. But

  692. that plan got to seek the Lord and say, God,

  693. where should I be at this point in time? Is

  694. this the right time to do this or that? And

  695. made the word of the Lord come to you. And

  696. then you trust in Jesus. Amen, you just have to trust,

  697. because fancy, if you're not trusting in Jesus, then you

  698. are trusting in something else, which I believe those of

  699. us were following our uturn reading God got so upset

  700. with the people of Israel because they weren't trusting him.

  701. They were trusting in an idol. So are you trusting

  702. in your money, bill, your wealth because God said he'll

  703. bless you to make money, to make well? But are

  704. you living for that to the point that you forgot

  705. about the Lord? Are you building something just about your child?

  706. Isn't she lovely? Right? Right? Don't look at father? But anyway,

  707. ah uh uh, you know your children. You live your

  708. whole life for that, and then you forget that It

  709. is the Lord of bless us with the children. And

  710. so my life is offered up to the Lord now,

  711. and I serve the Lord. Amen. Whatever position we're in,

  712. whatever God has, so we trust in him. And then

  713. there will be the moments when we have to wait

  714. on him without rushing and let Jesus take control because

  715. because sometimes we cannot really serious, I don't know how

  716. to say it. I wish I could speak hockey. And

  717. my life is so good, you know, so good, But

  718. I don't know, and you know how to say right,

  719. Bobian la bobian really like you're stuck. I don't know.

  720. I turned everything and it's just Biana. There is nothing

  721. I can do, really what to do. But but life

  722. is not bobian Lah. Life is the Lord is my

  723. my focus. The Lord is my guide, he is my compass.

  724. I've gona bearing myself again, and then okay, follow this way.

  725. We just had a conversation about bearings just now because

  726. I said, for the life of me, I can't even

  727. read the Google walk thing. I can't do it. I

  728. just get lost or go around and around and around

  729. and around, and yeah, I can't. I just can't read maps.

  730. I'm so so bad. So but then when you're left

  731. with that live's got compass, which is the Lord, then

  732. you will follow there. When they are going to be

  733. days you're going to say, really, I don't know what

  734. nothing to do. I don't know what else to do.

  735. I don't know. That's it. But I want to say

  736. to us, whether we are little, or whether we are

  737. midway or that way or closer to the grave, anyway,

  738. you still have the Lord. Wait on the Lord, let

  739. him take control, trust him all the way. What's the

  740. best plens He still has Amen, And I'm very worried

  741. when we start making those plans like it was God's blends,

  742. meaning I decide this is this is there, I decide

  743. this and this is it my children going to be doctor, accountant, artists. Uh, celebrity,

  744. Are you decide everything here? Right? Everything you decide? Read?

  745. A poor child has no decision? Where is God in

  746. this picture? Right?

  747. Your child has no I want to be pastors. Try, try, try, try, try.

  748. One kid asked my husband already, time out.

  749. I want to be a bastard like you. Why because

  750. people give you things? You want to be a bastard

  751. because people give him things are yours? So we plan everything.

  752. So well because it fits. This is the flesh, it

  753. fits us. But how did how many of you remember

  754. reading the scriptures? It never fits. His ways are higher,

  755. his thoughts are higher, His plans always for our best.

  756. It never fits your brain, but it definitely fits in

  757. the way God has a destiny for us. And there

  758. were surprise supplies. WHOA, I didn't know this is gonna happen. Yes,

  759. this is how God opened that door. Who you're gonna meet,

  760. this is the person in that person gets touched by

  761. your life, and then it goes. It just keeps going

  762. and keeps going. Right. I want to live like that.

  763. I hear people telling me how God speaking to this

  764. or that, I don't hear anything. I just obey, you

  765. need you whatever. But but some people need that, others

  766. like me, I just obey, Are you tell me? I do?

  767. That's it, you know, But but that's how each of

  768. us will hear him, each of us will listen, each

  769. of us will do. But I just want to say,

  770. come on, still, just reiterating that there are too many people.

  771. We are not trusting Jesus. Too many believers in the

  772. law are not trusting Jesus. You are just thinking an

  773. idea of Jesus, but not Jesus. It's how you you,

  774. you have you you want to fall in love. I

  775. don't know what's the word. You are in love with love,

  776. not really in love with the boy, the idea of love. Yes,

  777. it is lovely to be in love until you get married.

  778. Then you realize, oh mg, who is this Anne? Are

  779. you no? Right? Yeah? And nobody told us. Come on,

  780. tell the truth, married people, Tell the truth. It's it's

  781. not just about the sex, man, people stop in love.

  782. It's suddenly getting you what. Don't tell her then two

  783. months only old? Not two months old only? No? We

  784. we we don't because we are in love with an idea,

  785. an idea of living in sabah. But you never been

  786. to Suba. How you know? Jungle out there? I know? Actually, no, lie,

  787. it's quite modern. Ka okay, Saba is beautiful. Off you

  788. go there and never come back to k already really

  789. they go there, they never come back. Oh my kayle

  790. friends all there forever becomes Saba. Hun ready chop sea

  791. rim they see you know? Yeah, you Jesus have an idea.

  792. You just idea that this is how the girl should be,

  793. the guy should be, the house should be, the plaine

  794. should be, the country should be, my family should be.

  795. Two friends, Can I burst your bubble and tell you?

  796. Unless it's Jesus in the house, Jesus in the center

  797. of it all. I don't know where you're saying it

  798. with such conviction. She used to say, the center of

  799. it all. No turn on Jesus. Yeah, Jesus there, the

  800. center of it all. No left now, Jesus left. Please

  801. don't sing, that's all. Don't sing it. Then we don't sing.

  802. Then quiet y'all better know you've got conviction after that.

  803. But God, Jesus is the center of you know? How

  804. come you decided on ddy? I decided and then you

  805. dare say fast? I prayed about it. Jesus said, don't go.

  806. They want to get the pass. Say, oh, Jesus told you, Okay,

  807. five years down the line, he Jesus, you don't know

  808. I wrongly? Oh you hurt wrongly? M I my ears,

  809. your ears or my ears, I don't know. But this

  810. is this is the reality and the joke it's it's

  811. it's it's It's not so much how much you know,

  812. it's how much you're experiencing on a day to day basis. Amen.

  813. And the Cross is not a joke. The Cross, it's

  814. not a legenda of the Cross is real. That's why

  815. we have faith and we believe that Jesus done it

  816. for us. All and all he's saying is I'm here.

  817. You can trust me. Come, I've done everything. Just come

  818. and I'll guide you and I'll lead you. I'll never

  819. forsake you. I'll never leave you. If we're broken, Hey,

  820. Jesus was broken. Law. Amen. If we feel like we

  821. know someone, just backstep you. You're so a watler, you know, Yeah,

  822. So you really have to. You gotta look at those

  823. fifteen steps. There's just fewer needs, so many things Jesus

  824. went through. If for those who are church planters, you

  825. feel like, oh my goodness, I lost all the sheep.

  826. You know the movie that is, Honey, I shrunk the kids,

  827. this buster. I shrunk the church. You know. One day

  828. it was one hundred, tomorrow twenty and what happened? What

  829. happened to the seventy? We're the senior person. Whatever that

  830. you won't scold a person's it? What do you do right? Right?

  831. Like I s strong the church. Let's start all over again.

  832. We ain't scared. We just had to work again, correct

  833. whatever we made wrong, and then just that again. Because

  834. Jesus strong the church by telling them what you must

  835. eat my body and drink my blood, you know, and

  836. he wants sitting together day be talking. You made the word.

  837. He lost his head. That's it. We're not following Jesus

  838. because he's talking about eating blurred, drinking blood, eating flesh.

  839. That's not God at all. But that was the new

  840. covenant in his body, the new covenant signed on it

  841. by his blood. But they couldn't see it. Sometimes we

  842. can't see it that God is actually doing something so different.

  843. But we just only know one way I know Jesus

  844. is one way to get to yes. One way Jesus.

  845. But the one way that you are seeing is the

  846. one way that you created your life, your vision of life.

  847. But you haven't allowed yourself to look at the bigness

  848. of the generosity, of God's bigness of his plans for you.

  849. And the cross is not so small a thing so small.

  850. It's a small so anyone can do it. Jini's more

  851. small the cross the world. No, it was a big job, nobody.

  852. It was like, you know, some Italian big job and

  853. rob the bank or whatever. This Jesus had to rub

  854. all of all of hell so that we could have heaven. Amen. Amen.

  855. And so that's victory is yours already. Amen, Church, Amen,

  856. Ala and Lujah, we have glory to God. Amen. Amen.

  857. So you would come. You know, before the world began,

  858. he has created all things, He has made all things

  859. for us. But Jesus stepped into our world. Nobody else

  860. has stepped into our world. That's the hope for each one.

  861. You may sit you. I don't know what you're going through.

  862. I don't know what your doubts are, I don't know

  863. what your plans. I don't know. But the Lord knows already.

  864. And my encouragement is you can come to him. You

  865. can trust him to lead you. You can also trust

  866. him to guide you through the plans that you already

  867. have set in motion by you willing to surrender and say, Lord,

  868. have I done the right steps? Amen? Or maybe you're

  869. in a circumstances you find it very complicated and you

  870. don't know how to get out of it. Also ask

  871. the Lord, Lord, this is a very complicated situation. Is

  872. it my fault? Is it the circumstances which I'm in?

  873. But Lord, you said that you are the way, the

  874. truth and the life, and then show me the way. Then, Lord,

  875. show me truth. What is it that I'm missing? You? Lord,

  876. lead me, lead me because you are my life? Amen,

  877. a man. Church, every need that we have, it just

  878. cannot come the way we want it. That's what I'm saying.

  879. It just won't. For I want church to be in

  880. a certain picture and a certain way. But then look

  881. at all your faces. Are you in a certain face? No?

  882. Everybody is different? In my mind, this is how how No,

  883. in my mind as zero. Actually planting a church was

  884. like zero, blunt chee. Why love? And then this is

  885. what we have today? Right, we have churches everywhere. But

  886. then God had a plan and he brought different ones

  887. into our lives, and then we just had to say, Okay, Lord,

  888. we take care of the sheep. We take care of

  889. the sheep the best we know how as you lead us. Right,

  890. so you can write things, but but the lot will

  891. then lead you every step of So that's what I

  892. encourage you. It's just to say, God Jesus is saying

  893. to you you can trust him. You can't trust him.

  894. You can because he didn't numb himself, He took the pin,

  895. he didn't run, He didn't ask angels to come and

  896. take over and take his place. The angels already I think,

  897. come on, God, let just don't hold me back. Michael, okay,

  898. pro like, no, no, don't don't hold me back. Let

  899. me go. No, no, Jesus is I'm gonna do it.

  900. So this price that was paid, it's really worth every

  901. Let it. Let it just sink into your heart that

  902. you are worth every ounce of his blood. You are

  903. worth every ounce of his blood, his bones, his whole being. Amen.
